- 2:12Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 2:17podcast host, coach, keynote speaker.
- 2:21Yes, a graduate student at Montclair State University,
- 2:24a passionate lifelong learner, and now so grateful
- 2:28to be a published author.
- 2:31Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 2:33Thank you for joining me for another amazing
- 2:36episode of the inspirations for your life show.
- 2:38Throughout this week, I've been talking a lot
- 2:42about growing through every season of life.
- 2:45Now I'm not talking about winter, spring, summer,
- 2:48fall.
- 2:48That's not what I'm talking about.
- 2:50Okay.
- 2:50I'm talking about the seasons of our life,
- 2:52the challenges, the ups, the downs.
- 2:55Today I bring it all together full circle
- 2:58by asking one simple question to you.
- 3:02What kind of life will you leave behind?
- 3:04True success isn't measured by how much you
- 3:09collect.
- 3:09It's measured by how many lives are better
- 3:14because you were part of them.
- 3:16Every decision, every conversation, and every act of
- 3:20kindness becomes part of your legacy.
- 3:25Let's explore this together.
- 3:27How to build a life that produces lasting
- 3:29impact.
- 3:31Number one, success is measured by impact.
- 3:36Real success goes far beyond money or even
- 3:40titles.
- 3:41It's measured by the positive difference you make
- 3:44in the lives of others.
- 3:47Impact is the true measure of a meaningful
- 3:50life.
- 3:52Number two, leave every place better.
- 3:57Whether at work, home, or in your community,
- 4:00strive to leave every situation better than you
- 4:04found it.
- 4:05Small improvements create lasting influence.
- 4:09Positive change always begins with one person.
- 4:12Remember that.
- 4:13You could be that person, right?
- 4:15Number three, help others grow.
- 4:19Encouraging someone else never limits your own success.
- 4:24Share your experiences and support those who are
- 4:28still learning.
- 4:29Growth multiplies when it's shared.
- 4:33Number four, share your knowledge.
- 4:36Knowledge becomes more valuable when it's passed on.
- 4:41Every lesson you've learned can help someone else
- 4:45avoid unnecessary struggles.
- 4:48Teaching is one of the greatest gifts you
- 4:51can give.
- 4:53Number five, inspire through action.
- 4:56People pay attention to what you do more
- 5:00than what you say.
- 5:02Your daily examples encourage others to live with
- 5:05greater purpose.
- 5:07Actions create lasting influence, and that's important.
- 5:10I want to talk about something real quick.
- 5:12I was at a networking event today and
- 5:14it wasn't, let's say, one way or the
- 5:19other of whether I liked it or not.
- 5:21It was just different.
- 5:22And so one thing that I was observant
- 5:25about was they have like their, I don't
- 5:28want to call them Gestapos, but I want
- 5:29to call them their kind of like their
- 5:31ambassadors.
- 5:32And one thing I noticed was that they
- 5:37were very to the point.
- 5:40And if you did something that stepped out
- 5:42of that line rather than saying, oh, gee,
- 5:44that was great, that was clever, they were
- 5:46the first to knock you down.
- 5:47So I think we have to not let
- 5:49other people change how we act.
- 5:54And so if somebody else puts you down
- 5:57or says to you, nobody has the right
- 5:59to make you feel inferior about yourself except
- 6:01for you.
- 6:01I want to share that with you.
- 6:03Sometimes people give this persona.
- 6:07Another person I was with said, they're so
- 6:10busy that I can't accommodate you till next
- 6:13June 2027.
- 6:15Now, seriously?
- 6:16And I said, well, I might be able
- 6:17to fit you in here and there.
- 6:19That's a egotistical thing.
- 6:22I'm busy too, but usually people can get
- 6:23on my calendar within a couple of weeks,
- 6:25not a year.
- 6:27So when you're that high and you've got
- 6:29something stuck up, basically, you got to come
- 6:32down a few notches for the rest of
- 6:33the world to want to even talk to
- 6:35you.
- 6:36Number six, build meaningful relationships.
- 6:39Can't say that more.
- 6:41Life is richer because of the people we
- 6:43share it with.
- 6:44Invest time in relationships built on trust, respect,
- 6:49and encouragement.
- 6:51Strong relationships create lasting memories.
- 6:55Number seven, give generously.
- 6:58Generosity isn't limited to money.
- 7:01You can give your time, attention, encouragement, and
- 7:05compassion.
- 7:06Often the smallest gifts leave the greatest impact.
- 7:11Number eight, stay grateful.
- 7:14Gratitude changes your perspective.
- 7:17Instead of focusing on what you lack, appreciate
- 7:21the opportunities already in front of you.
- 7:26Thankful people naturally inspire others.
- 7:30Number nine, keep learning, guys.
- 7:33Growth doesn't end with a diploma or a
- 7:36promotion.
- 7:36I've learned that.
- 7:37I'm back in school again.
- 7:38Number 10, every experience offers another lesson.
- 7:44Lifelong learning keeps your mind open and your
- 7:48opportunities growing.
- 7:50Number 10, create opportunities.
- 7:53Don't simply wait for opportunities to appear.
- 7:58Create them for yourself and for others.
- 8:01One opportunity can completely change someone's future.
- 8:06Now, what I want to talk about this
- 8:08is, you know, people say, you know, you
- 8:10have to wait for your ship to come
- 8:11in.
- 8:11No, no, no.
- 8:12Go swim out if your ship's not here,
- 8:15okay?
- 8:15And people say, oh, you know, you've got
- 8:18to wait until the iron's hot before you
- 8:20strike.
- 8:21No, strike the iron to get it hot.
- 8:25Number 11, lift others up every chance you
- 8:28get.
- 8:28Celebrate the success of others instead of competing
- 8:31against it.
- 8:32Encouragement creates confidence and stronger communities.
- 8:38We all rise higher when we help one
- 8:40another.
- 8:41But so many people have egos, and they
- 8:44got to let you know how important they
- 8:46are.
- 8:46I'm not important.
- 8:48You are.
- 8:50Number 12, let's celebrate progress together.
- 8:52Recognize growth even before the finish line is
- 8:56in sight.
- 8:56Celebrating progress builds motivation and reminds people that
- 9:01every step forward matters.
- 9:04Success is built one victory at a time.
- 9:08Number 13, stay humble.
- 9:11I can't tell you how important it is
- 9:14to stay humble.
- 9:15But yet some people think that being humble
- 9:18isn't going to get them anywhere.
- 9:20Being humble, guys, is the true key of
- 9:23life.
- 9:24But many people don't want to be humble,
- 9:28okay?
- 9:29They feel that humbleness doesn't do anything for
- 9:31them, but it actually does more than they
- 9:32think.
- 9:33It plants seeds.
- 9:35Humility keeps you teachable and approachable.
- 9:39No matter how much you accomplish, there's always
- 9:43more to learn.
- 9:46Humble people continue growing because they never believe
- 9:50they've arrived.
- 9:53Number 14, never stop growing.
- 9:57Personal growth is a lifelong journey.
- 10:00Continue improving your character, your knowledge, and your
- 10:05relationships.
- 10:07Your greatest potential still lies ahead.
- 10:10Number 15, build something lasting.
- 10:15Think beyond temporary accomplishments.
- 10:18Invest your energy into creating something that benefits
- 10:23others for years to come.
- 10:26Lasting impact outlives temporary success.
- 10:31Encourage excellence.
- 10:33Excellence begins with encouragement.
- 10:37When you recognize the potential in others and
- 10:41challenge them to become their best, you help
- 10:44unlock abilities they may not have seen in
- 10:48themselves.
- 10:49A few sincere words of encouragement can change
- 10:53someone's direction forever.
- 10:57Number 17, invest in people.
- 10:59People are always the greatest investment you'll ever
- 11:04make.
- 11:05Time spent mentoring, listening, teaching, and supporting others
- 11:10produces returns that no financial investment can ever
- 11:14match.
- 11:16Strong people build strong communities.
- 11:21Yeah.
- 11:22Number 18, focus on significance.
- 11:25Success often asks, what did I achieve?
- 11:29Significance asks, who did I help?
- 11:38Living for significance shifts your attention from personal
- 11:42recognition to creating lasting value for others.
- 11:46Number 19, live intentionally.
- 11:50Every day is filled with choices that shape
- 11:53your future.
- 11:55Living intentionally means making decisions that align with
- 11:59your core values instead of simply reacting to
- 12:03circumstances.
- 12:05Purpose gives direction to every step.
- 12:11Number 20, choose kindness.
- 12:13Kindness is never wasted.
- 12:15A smile, a thoughtful conversation, or a helping
- 12:20hand can brighten someone's day more than you'll
- 12:23ever know.
- 12:25Small acts of kindness often create lifelong memories.
- 12:31Number 21, make your work meaningful.
- 12:34No matter your profession, your work can improve
- 12:39someone's life.
- 12:40When you focus on serving people instead of
- 12:44simply completing tracks and tasks, your work gains
- 12:49greater purpose and credibility, and meaning transforms ordinary
- 12:52work into extraordinary contribution.
- 12:57Number 22, build a positive legacy.
- 13:00A legacy isn't built in one remarkable moment.
- 13:04It's built through thousands of consistent decisions that
- 13:09reflect integrity.
- 13:10Compassion and service.
- 13:13The life you live today becomes the story
- 13:16people remember tomorrow.
- 13:18See, people will forget what you told them.
- 13:21People will forget what you gave them.
- 13:23But they will never forget how you made
- 13:27them feel.
- 13:28That's the key, guys.
- 13:30And a lot of people today are looking
- 13:32for a shortcut.
- 13:33I'm here to tell you the shortcut does
- 13:35not exist.
- 13:38No, it doesn't exist.
- 13:44So you need to understand that.
- 13:52I can tell you guys that most people
- 13:56do things for them.
- 14:01They never look to see how it's going
- 14:02to help somebody else.
- 14:05So I was somewhere the other day.
- 14:09It was at an event.
- 14:10And the thing about this event, there were
- 14:14some people, not a lot, but there were
- 14:15some people.
- 14:16And I quickly felt the vibe that it
- 14:21was all about them.
- 14:26Now, that's okay, right?
- 14:28Because it is about them.
- 14:29But they should have been flipping it to
- 14:31them.
- 14:31They should have been flipping it.
- 14:32They should have been showing interest.
- 14:33They weren't.
- 14:39Some people come from the mindset, do for
- 14:43me first, and I'll do for you later.
- 14:45I come from the mindset, we need to
- 14:47do for each other at the same time.
- 14:49Number 23, guys, stay true.
- 14:52To your values.
- 14:55Your values provide stability when circumstances change.
- 15:01Remaining honest, respectful, and dependable, even during difficult
- 15:06moments, strengthens your character and earns lasting trust.
- 15:13Never compromise, guys, who you are for temporary
- 15:16success.
- 15:17It might seem like the right answer at
- 15:19the moment.
- 15:20But you'll pay for it many ways.
- 15:23And it might not just be money.
- 15:2524, keep moving forward, guys.
- 15:29Every meaningful journey includes obstacles and setbacks.
- 15:34So don't allow temporary disappointment.
- 15:37Stop your progress.
- 15:39Continue taking one purposeful step after another.
- 15:43Because persistence allows us to always create opportunity.
- 15:48Number 25, lead with purpose.
- 15:52Leadership is more than holding a title.
- 15:56It's about serving others, setting a positive example,
- 16:00and helping people become their best versions of
- 16:05themselves.
- 16:06Purpose-driven leaders leave a lasting impression because
- 16:11they focused on people before position.
- 16:16That's a hard one for a lot of
- 16:18people to swallow.
- 16:20Okay, it's a hard one.
- 16:21But again, it's about truth, right?
- 16:26It's about truth.
- 16:31That's important, guys.
- 16:36Very, very important.
- 16:40And I'll tell you that's important because it
- 16:44can make a big difference in your world.
- 16:48Number 26, please create lasting influences.
- 16:53Influence grows through consistent actions rather than occasional
- 16:58achievements.
- 17:00Every conversation, thoughtful decision, and act of integrity
- 17:06shapes the people around you.
- 17:09Your influence becomes your invisible legacy.
- 17:14Number 27, make every day matter.
- 17:17Each day offers another opportunity to encourage someone.
- 17:23Learn something new or improve the world around
- 17:27you.
- 17:28Don't wait for a special occasion to make
- 17:31a difference.
- 17:32Small daily actions build extraordinary lives.
- 17:39Just think about that for a moment.
- 17:44The actions you take can not only affect
- 17:48your life, but they can affect so many
- 17:50other people around you.
- 17:52That's a key, guys.
- 17:55That's the key in the heart of becoming
- 17:57aware in your life.
- 18:00Number 28, success, guys, is shared.
- 18:05No one reaches success on their own.
- 18:07They have help from other people.
- 18:11The greatest victories are rarely accomplished alone.
- 18:16Family, friends, mentors, teachers, co-workers, and communities
- 18:21all contribute to our growth.
- 18:25Celebrate those who helped you along the way
- 18:28and continue helping others succeed.
- 18:32There was a guy on one of the
- 18:37social medias, and he's like, you know, I'm
- 18:39retired, and I want to help, but I
- 18:41want to give back.
- 18:44Okay, and that's why I want to give
- 18:46you one hour, one session, okay?
- 18:50He has a caveat on there, right?
- 18:55He already is pre-qualifying whether he wants
- 18:59to work with you.
- 19:00You must have a six-figure salary income
- 19:05or higher for me to work with you.
- 19:07What's that saying?
- 19:09He's not really trying to help you.
- 19:10He's using a message to make you think
- 19:14he cares, but he's really just after your
- 19:16pocketbook.
- 19:17Number 29, your life can inspire others.
- 19:22You may never fully realize who's watching your
- 19:26example.
- 19:27Someone is learning from your attitude, your work,
- 19:32ethic, your kindness, and your perseverance live in
- 19:36a way that gives others hope to pursue
- 19:39their own dreams.
- 19:44You see, when you help others, guys, this
- 19:47is the secret, you actually help yourself.
- 19:50If you have a problem and you help
- 19:53someone else with that same problem, guess what?
- 19:56You're actually helping yourself because
- 20:06you're helping yourself.
- 20:08I think that's a very important thing.
- 20:17And I'll tell you that when you understand
- 20:20that whole concept, you start realizing that life
- 20:24is different.
- 20:27Life can evolve into your dreams.
- 20:31Being purposeful, even living a busy lifestyle can
- 20:38still be healthy if you balance.
- 20:41See, what I've learned from doing this for
- 20:44many years, even if you're busy, it's the
- 20:46people around you that fuel or defuel you.
- 20:49If somebody around you is taking from your
- 20:51energy, don't hang around them anymore.
- 20:54You don't have to.
- 20:57Somebody who's fueling your energy, yeah, let's hang
- 21:00around those people.
- 21:02Let's hang around them.
- 21:04Why?
- 21:05Because it matters.
- 21:08Because it matters.
- 21:12That's important, guys.
- 21:15Very, very important.
- 21:19But most people feel that it's not.
- 21:24They go for the surface level connection.
- 21:28You know, the salespeople, the ones that they
- 21:31do great for the first six months and
- 21:32then they're bankrupt after that.
- 21:37Why?
- 21:38Because they didn't lead with value.
- 21:42They milk people and then they're gone.
- 21:46People don't wanna work with somebody like that.
- 21:50Number 30, guys.
- 21:52The greatest harvest comes from a lifetime of
- 21:59growth.
- 22:00Hmm, every lesson learned, every person encouraged, every
- 22:07relationship strengthened, and every act of kindness planted
- 22:12throughout your life eventually produces a harvest.
- 22:18I also tell you to do things in
- 22:20kind, but don't look to get recognized.
- 22:23You make a donation, great.
- 22:24You wanna get the tax benefit, great.
- 22:26But don't look to be recognized.
- 22:30Lasting impact, my friends, isn't measured by one
- 22:34accomplishment, but by a lifetime of faithful growth
- 22:38and meaningful service.
- 22:40And where does that come from?
- 22:41That comes from patterns, guys, patterns.
- 22:44As I get ready to close the show
- 22:46and we conclude not only today's episode, but
- 22:49our entire week and series, how to grow
- 22:52through every season, show number five.
- 22:57Five, and series five, show 29, episode seven.
- 23:03Remember, guys, life isn't measured by what you
- 23:07accumulate.
- 23:10No, it's measured by the lives you influence,
- 23:16the relationships you build, the kindness you show,
- 23:22and the example you leave behind.
- 23:28It's measured by the touch about how you
- 23:34make people feel.
- 23:35Every day, ladies and gentlemen, is another opportunity
- 23:38to get up, encourage someone, solve a problem,
- 23:43share your knowledge, or simply make another person's
- 23:48journey a little brighter.
- 23:52See, don't underestimate the power of small, consistent
- 23:57actions.
- 23:58A kind word, a listening ear, a helping
- 24:03hand, or a moment of encouragement can create
- 24:07a ripple effect that reaches farther than you'll
- 24:11ever know.
- 24:14But if you keep measuring things by, what
- 24:17am I getting?
- 24:18A tit for a tat, right?
- 24:20You'll drive yourself crazy.
- 24:23Plant seeds and they will grow.
- 24:25The legacy you leave, folks, won't be determined
- 24:32by what you owned.
- 24:35Nope, sorry about that, guys.
- 24:39It will be determined by how you lived.
- 24:46What do I mean by that, John?
- 24:49Well, how you loved, how faithfully you invested
- 24:58in others.
- 24:59Now, I don't just mean, does it be
- 25:01money?
- 25:02It could just be something as simple as
- 25:04your time, your compassion, your understanding.
- 25:10Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you so much
- 25:11for joining me, not only today, but throughout
- 25:14this week's journey on Inspirations For Your Life.
- 25:19And I think when you start to become
- 25:23aware of these things, they change us.
- 25:28You might say, I'm never gonna change.
- 25:30Because this is my way.
- 25:34Make the commitment to become aware.
- 25:36And I promise you, the things that you
- 25:38thought couldn't change will change.
- 25:41Not overnight, but they will change.
- 25:44It'll just be a soft switch.
- 25:47Like, oh, okay, that's how that is now.
- 25:52And when you start taking life in those
- 25:55soft breaths, that awareness of where I stand,
- 26:02where somebody else stands, and the idea that
- 26:05we are all here to help one another,
- 26:09that could be knowledge, compassion.
- 26:15It could be lots of things.
- 26:16It could be physical labor or help.
- 26:19It could be lots of things.
- 26:21Sometimes it could be money.
- 26:23It could be food, right?
- 26:24Could be lots of things.
- 26:25But when we help another, we get helped.
- 26:29Not right away.
- 26:32Universe has a delay system in returning that.
- 26:36It's always been like that.
- 26:38But that doesn't mean we shouldn't keep doing
- 26:39good.
- 26:40It doesn't mean we shouldn't keep helping others.
