- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Hey smart simone on seven tenor Hey, well.
- 0:11Speaker 2: I forget to We'll get to the president's speech. It's
- 0:14Speaker 2: gonna happen tonight. What's that all about. We'll get to
- 0:17Speaker 2: the fake Susie Wilds controversy. We'll get to Nick Reiner.
- 0:21Speaker 2: More details coming out, We'll get to Milania. We'll get
- 0:24Speaker 2: a Cardinal Dolan who we love, maybe leaving. We'll get
- 0:29Speaker 2: to that coming up in more. Oh, Jack Smith and
- 0:33Speaker 2: Merrick Garland. I've been caught again in just total law
- 0:37Speaker 2: fair corruption. We'll get to that just ahead. So hey,
- 0:42Speaker 2: let's just talk about the Nick Reiner for a second now.
- 0:46Speaker 2: If you were listening Monday and Tuesday and we went
- 0:48Speaker 2: over the story, what was known about the case and
- 0:52Speaker 2: the big problem with LA I don't know why, but
- 0:54Speaker 2: they're just not very forthcoming. The disc attorney, the police chief,
- 0:58Speaker 2: they speak, they hold prescot, but they don't give you
- 1:01Speaker 2: the details. So we've been depending on police sources to
- 1:05Speaker 2: leak stuff out. And the original story we got leaked
- 1:09Speaker 2: out being reported was that the daughter who lives on
- 1:15Speaker 2: the property in a guest house, heard loud arguing and
- 1:18Speaker 2: at some point went over to check and found the bodies. Well,
- 1:22Speaker 2: now there's a whole different story being leaked out of
- 1:25Speaker 2: the police department. So again these are from good police sources,
- 1:28Speaker 2: but you know, I can't guarantee everything because it's not
- 1:32Speaker 2: official on the record. But it's also the fog of war,
- 1:36Speaker 2: you know, you get all kinds of reports. But the
- 1:38Speaker 2: latest version coming out of the police department is the
- 1:43Speaker 2: daughter lives in the guest house and a masseuse comes
- 1:48Speaker 2: to the winers' house on Sundays to give them massages.
- 1:52Speaker 2: The masseuse could not get in. They didn't answer. They
- 1:55Speaker 2: didn't answer the gate. The house open the gate, they
- 1:58Speaker 2: didn't answer the phone, well, didn't answer anything highly unusual
- 2:02Speaker 2: for them. So the masseuse got concerned, called the daughter,
- 2:05Speaker 2: who lives with a roommate, and the two of them
- 2:08Speaker 2: went over to check. And the story is when the
- 2:11Speaker 2: daughter walked in, she found Rob Reiner's body there on
- 2:14Speaker 2: the floor somewhere. Obviously, went into shock and had the
- 2:19Speaker 2: roommate call nine to one pint one. The roommate calls
- 2:23Speaker 2: the police, while the daughter calls Billy Crystal, who it
- 2:26Speaker 2: turns out is Rhiner's closest friend, Crystal and his wife
- 2:30Speaker 2: race over to the scene, and the police arrive at
- 2:33Speaker 2: about the same time, and the daughter and roommate are
- 2:37Speaker 2: waiting outside while the police. Everybody's in there now. The
- 2:40Speaker 2: daughter didn't know that the mother had also been stabbed.
- 2:44Speaker 2: The police had to come out and tell her it's
- 2:45Speaker 2: not just your father. Apparently he was outside the bedroom,
- 2:49Speaker 2: and when they went in the bedroom, they found the
- 2:51Speaker 2: mother dead, throat slit, and they had to tell the
- 2:54Speaker 2: daughter it's just a horrible, horrible, horrible story. I was
- 3:00Speaker 2: saying that it looked like rigor mortis had had started
- 3:03Speaker 2: setting in. That means they'd been dead for a few hours.
- 3:07Speaker 2: So the new version that's coming out of the police
- 3:11Speaker 2: department is that the night before they're at this Conan
- 3:14Speaker 2: O'Brien Christmas party, Nick Reiner gets into a huge fight
- 3:19Speaker 2: with his father. He'd been getting into fights with a
- 3:21Speaker 2: lot of people around the room, a lot of people
- 3:27Speaker 2: disturbed by his behavior, his appearance. He came in with
- 3:30Speaker 2: a sweatsuit and a hoodie over his head and at
- 3:34Speaker 2: one point got in a fights with people. We've got
- 3:37Speaker 2: into arguments with people, looked really really weird with people,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and some of them even left the party. They didn't
- 3:44Speaker 2: want to deal with him. Bill Hayter was one of them.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Hayter was talking to somebody and Nick Reiner came over
- 3:50Speaker 2: with that psycho look. I guess hater didn't know who
- 3:53Speaker 2: he was, and said, excuse us, this is a private conversation.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Chased him away. Well, then Nick Reiner came over and
- 3:59Speaker 2: just glared at him with a scary, scary looking stare,
- 4:03Speaker 2: so scary that the hater left the party. Nick Reiner
- 4:08Speaker 2: then got a huge screaming fight with his father in
- 4:13Speaker 2: the party. It got so out of control and alarmed
- 4:15Speaker 2: the other guests. It got so out of control that
- 4:17Speaker 2: Rob Ryder and his wife decided they should leave the party.
- 4:20Speaker 2: The crazy son, Nick Reiner left, So it now looks
- 4:25Speaker 2: like it's possible that it was later that night, in
- 4:28Speaker 2: the middle of the night, that he went and maybe
- 4:31Speaker 2: maybe that's when it happened stabbed his parents, because he
- 4:33Speaker 2: then at four point thirty in the morning showed up
- 4:36Speaker 2: at this hotel to check into the hotel. So if
- 4:39Speaker 2: he had later that night gone to the house, stabbed them,
- 4:42Speaker 2: killed them, obviously he wouldn't continue to stay in the
- 4:45Speaker 2: guest house right on the property, so that could be
- 4:48Speaker 2: why at four thirty in the morning he went and
- 4:49Speaker 2: checked into a hotel. Police found him the next day.
- 4:53Speaker 2: He was dressed all in dark clothes, wearing a baseball cap.
- 4:56Speaker 2: They had pictures of him, a description of him. He
- 4:59Speaker 2: was at a metro station, this is fifteen miles away
- 5:02Speaker 2: from the Reiner house. Two police cars saw him. They
- 5:05Speaker 2: pulled up, surrounded him. He didn't resist. He put his
- 5:09Speaker 2: arms up in surrender, and they've taken him into custody.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He's been in a protective custody. He's been on suicide watch.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Was supposed to appear in court yesterday. He's got a
- 5:21Speaker 2: top top LA lawyer, one of the biggest best LA lawyers,
- 5:25Speaker 2: the guy who had defended Harvey Weinstein's defended other high
- 5:30Speaker 2: profile murderers. Now here's the District Attorney of Los Angeles.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Their loss is beyond tragic, and we have we will
- 5:40Speaker 3: commit ourselves to bringing their murderer to justice.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, no, they could charge him. They're going to charge
- 5:46Speaker 2: him with two counts of murder, with aggravated this, aggravated that.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So he is facing the death penalty.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Rob Reiner was a brilliant actor and director, an iconic
- 5:56Speaker 3: force in our entertainment industry for deck Aids, his wife,
- 6:01Speaker 3: Michelle Singer Reiner was inequally iconic photography.
- 6:06Speaker 2: One thing I don't like it's the secretorny. He's great
- 6:08Speaker 2: with all these long speeches, but why has he given us.
- 6:11Speaker 2: He should be given us actual specific details of what happened.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Now, prosecuting these cases involving family members are some of
- 6:19Speaker 3: the most challenging and most heart wrenching cases that this
- 6:22Speaker 3: office faces because of the intimate and often brutal nature
- 6:26Speaker 3: of the crimes involved.
- 6:29Speaker 2: We know all this, but again not very open about details.
- 6:32Speaker 3: These charges will be two counts of first degree murder
- 6:36Speaker 3: with the special circumstance of multiple murders.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so he will. Obviously he's got a really, really
- 6:44Speaker 2: top lawyer. I know exactly who's paying for it. But
- 6:48Speaker 2: hopefully he's convicted. Hopefully he's he's eligible for the death penalty.
- 6:52Speaker 2: I would give it to him if I run a jury,
- 6:54Speaker 2: but he's facing life in prison otherwise, and I'm sure
- 6:59Speaker 2: they'll be able to convictim.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Our office will be filing charges against Nick Reiner, who
- 7:05Speaker 3: was accused of killing his parents. Actor director Rob Reiner
- 7:08Speaker 3: and photographer producer Michelle Singer Reiner. Our office.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Hopefully comes into court today. It was supposed to be yesterday.
- 7:18Speaker 2: They couldn't what they call medically clear and we have
- 7:20Speaker 2: to have a medical clearance to be taken to court,
- 7:23Speaker 2: just a procedural thing. So hopefully that happens today. Hopefully
- 7:26Speaker 2: he comes to court today and gets officially charged. Now,
- 7:30Speaker 2: the President Trump will make a big speech to the
- 7:33Speaker 2: nation tonight at nine o'clock. You know, years ago, it
- 7:37Speaker 2: was quite a big deal when the president did that.
- 7:39Speaker 2: They would call all the networks and ask for a
- 7:42Speaker 2: time at eight o'clock or nine o'clock or whenever they wanted,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and every network would stop what they were doing and
- 7:49Speaker 2: broadcast the president's speech. It was on all the networks,
- 7:52Speaker 2: which meant in nineteen seventy eight or nineteen eighty seven
- 7:56Speaker 2: or nineteen ninety three, when they put it on all
- 7:59Speaker 2: the networks, it meant sixty million people would see it. Well,
- 8:02Speaker 2: nobody watches network TV anymore, so if you got all
- 8:06Speaker 2: three networks to carry your speech, you'd be lucky. If
- 8:08Speaker 2: you got eight million people, it's a much much smaller audience.
- 8:12Speaker 2: And if you get the cable networks, well maybe then
- 8:14Speaker 2: you get six or seven million, but when you total
- 8:18Speaker 2: it all up, it's just not that big an audience anymore. Now,
- 8:22Speaker 2: these networks have all agreed tonight at nine o'clock to
- 8:25Speaker 2: carry the speech. It's standard procedure that when a White
- 8:28Speaker 2: House ask you for the time, you carry the speech. Now,
- 8:31Speaker 2: with Trump, you know it's different. They might not. However,
- 8:33Speaker 2: I think the network's are a little afraid of Trump.
- 8:35Speaker 2: You know, he does come after them, he does sue them,
- 8:38Speaker 2: he does threaten them. So I think they're afraid not
- 8:41Speaker 2: to carry the speech. So we'll see will carry the speech.
- 8:44Speaker 2: We'll have it tonight at nine. Now. Obviously Fox, very
- 8:48Speaker 2: responsible network, will carry it. I would think CNN will
- 8:51Speaker 2: carry it because they got their panel of thirty two
- 8:54Speaker 2: liberals who want to trash him after the speech. Now,
- 8:57Speaker 2: MS now is not a really it's not really a
- 9:00Speaker 2: network anymore. It's not part of NBC. They threw MSNBC out,
- 9:05Speaker 2: took their name off it, so it's just a little
- 9:07Speaker 2: mom and pop shop. Now, I know they can do
- 9:08Speaker 2: whatever the hell they want. Will they carry it, I
- 9:10Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know. We'll see. The President can
- 9:15Speaker 2: threaten them, but there's not much he can threaten them
- 9:17Speaker 2: with they're not really anything anymore. But the speech tonight,
- 9:21Speaker 2: the agenda is nobody knows. It's being kept secret. I
- 9:27Speaker 2: would imagine the one thing we do now, he'll go
- 9:29Speaker 2: over his accomplishments, a couple of things he might want
- 9:33Speaker 2: to do now. Normally you wait till the State of
- 9:34Speaker 2: the Union speech in January, but I guess he feels
- 9:37Speaker 2: the need to do it now. Also, it's good to
- 9:40Speaker 2: do it right now tonight, right before the holidays, because
- 9:42Speaker 2: everybody's going to get all distracted for a couple of weeks.
- 9:46Speaker 2: But one of the things he'll do. They created this
- 9:48Speaker 2: whole fake myth of affordability, crisis, economy and crisis. The
- 9:53Speaker 2: economy is doing a hell of a lot better than
- 9:55Speaker 2: last year. It's not perfect, but the improvement over the
- 9:59Speaker 2: last year is amazing. Inflation hitting nine percent. Under Biden
- 10:04Speaker 2: it averaged five point six percent. Well it's down to
- 10:07Speaker 2: two point five percent. There's been a huge improvement in inflation.
- 10:12Speaker 2: The job numbers are up, and actually up more than
- 10:15Speaker 2: the numbers actually show because under Biden, when you saw
- 10:18Speaker 2: those jobs, there were government jobs. They were hiring government
- 10:21Speaker 2: people to make the job numbers go up. In this case,
- 10:24Speaker 2: it's all private sector jobs. So you've had a big improvement.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Gas prices are down all over the place, not New
- 10:30Speaker 2: York or California where the locals are keeping the gas
- 10:33Speaker 2: prices high, but the gas prices are averaging like two
- 10:36Speaker 2: dollars and fifty cents. You know, in one state, I
- 10:39Speaker 2: think it's Colorado, they finally went under two dollars. Oil
- 10:42Speaker 2: is fifty five dollars a barrel, down from one hundred
- 10:44Speaker 2: and ten. So gas prices, everything is better, much better,
- 10:49Speaker 2: But people don't know that because of the fake news.
- 10:52Speaker 2: But he'll have a chance to go over the actual
- 10:54Speaker 2: numbers tonight. I imagine he'll do that. He'll probably talk
- 10:59Speaker 2: about the narco terrorists and those boats, blowing those boats up.
- 11:03Speaker 2: It's something people like. They really like the idea of
- 11:08Speaker 2: wiping out the drug supply and stopping it. Obviously, he'll
- 11:11Speaker 2: go over the border, and the actual numbers of the
- 11:14Speaker 2: success at closing the border are pretty amazing, So he'll
- 11:17Speaker 2: go over that, and I don't know what else we'll see. Hey,
- 11:23Speaker 2: the other thing, if you're watching that crazy MS NOW
- 11:26Speaker 2: or CNN or the late night shows, you know all
- 11:30Speaker 2: the left wing cooks, all they're talking about is Susie Wiles,
- 11:34Speaker 2: the White House chief of Staff, very disciplined, doesn't ever
- 11:38Speaker 2: do interviews, stays under the radar, very quiet, very respected.
- 11:43Speaker 2: All they're talking about she gave an interview to Vanity
- 11:45Speaker 2: Fair and she said all kinds of things. She was
- 11:48Speaker 2: so blunt and said, you know, jd Vance is a
- 11:52Speaker 2: conspiracy theorist and all of that. Well, nobody in the
- 11:55Speaker 2: White House is upset about it for two reasons. One,
- 11:58Speaker 2: nobody reads Vanity Fair. It's a tiny audience. The only
- 12:01Speaker 2: people that read it are the ms now people that
- 12:05Speaker 2: live in the echo chamber are the only ones that
- 12:06Speaker 2: read it. And Also, it's not an issue anywhere. It's
- 12:10Speaker 2: a Beltway DC issue, It's a CNN ms NOW issue.
- 12:15Speaker 2: This is not the American public. This is these left
- 12:17Speaker 2: wing kooks who live in this echo chamber. For them,
- 12:20Speaker 2: it's a parlor game. They're all talking about this Susie
- 12:22Speaker 2: Wilds story. The old Washington test, The old DC test
- 12:27Speaker 2: is if you went to Green Bay, Wisconsin and went
- 12:30Speaker 2: into a diner, would anybody be talking about it. No,
- 12:34Speaker 2: there's nobody in a diner in Green Bay, Wisconsin discussing
- 12:37Speaker 2: Susie Wilds or the vanity fair piece. So it is
- 12:40Speaker 2: totally meanless with the public. Even the people she criticized
- 12:46Speaker 2: just laughed it off. She said, the JD. Vance has
- 12:49Speaker 2: always been a conspiracy theorist. Here is Vance yesterday.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I haven't looked at the article.
- 12:52Speaker 4: I of course have heard about it, but conspiracy theorist.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Sometimes I am a conspiracy theorist, but I only believe
- 12:59Speaker 2: in the conspiracy.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Theories that are true.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Presidents spoke about said he couldn't care less about the
- 13:07Speaker 2: article meant nothing. Here's the Caroline Levet.
- 13:09Speaker 4: This is, unfortunately another example of disingenuous reporting where you
- 13:15Speaker 4: have a reporter who took the chief of staff's words
- 13:18Speaker 4: wildly out of context, did not include the context those
- 13:21Speaker 4: conversations were had within. And then further, I think the
- 13:25Speaker 4: most egregious part of this article was the bias of omission.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well there was a lot of that. And this guy,
- 13:31Speaker 2: why would you do an interview with this guy? Well,
- 13:33Speaker 2: this guy's supposedly a respected journalist who has a long
- 13:36Speaker 2: history of doing profiles of White House chiefs of staff,
- 13:40Speaker 2: all the great White Houses. He's done massive profiles of
- 13:44Speaker 2: the chiefs of staff. So that's why she did it,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but he's a very biased reporter. If you read them all,
- 13:50Speaker 2: it's hysterical. Every Democratic white House, the chief of staff
- 13:53Speaker 2: is a genius. It's a glowing piece about how wonderfully
- 13:56Speaker 2: is every Republican White House. The chief of staff is terrible.
- 14:00Speaker 2: He's awful. Everything's in chaos. So pretty obvious slanted bias. Hey,
- 14:05Speaker 2: we'll get to Jack Smith coming up. This is pretty
- 14:09Speaker 2: interesting the raid on mar a Lago. You know, there
- 14:11Speaker 2: were no classified documents at mar Lago. It was all
- 14:14Speaker 2: a fake, made up hoax. In the end, they did
- 14:17Speaker 2: find thirty five classified documents. If you put them in
- 14:20Speaker 2: a folder. The folder is one inch thick one inch,
- 14:25Speaker 2: So what the hell were those five hundred boxes in
- 14:27Speaker 2: the pictures each None of them contained any classified documents,
- 14:30Speaker 2: and there was no reason to do the raid. Emails
- 14:33Speaker 2: have been discovered and released in Congress. They've released them.
- 14:40Speaker 2: It turns out the FBI itself said there's absolutely nothing
- 14:44Speaker 2: to justify his search. There's no real source that there's
- 14:47Speaker 2: classified documents there. It was one guy in the Archives Department.
- 14:51Speaker 2: They couldn't confirm it with anybody, and they kept telling
- 14:54Speaker 2: them Justice Department, there's no justification for a search. But
- 14:58Speaker 2: it turns out, according to these emails, were ordered to
- 15:00Speaker 2: do it. The Biden administration ordered them. We don't care
- 15:04Speaker 2: if you don't know. I mean, just you're going to do
- 15:06Speaker 2: this raid. Now, there could be criminal charges over this.
- 15:10Speaker 2: President Trump could sue, he'd have a great lawsuit against
- 15:13Speaker 2: the Department of Justice and they'd have to pay him
- 15:16Speaker 2: a ton of money. But he could also find there
- 15:19Speaker 2: could be criminal charges here. Now Jacksmith had not yet
- 15:22Speaker 2: been appointed on this, but it could be Merrick Garland.
- 15:26Speaker 2: For the first time ever, he's possibly in some legal
- 15:29Speaker 2: jeopardy ordering this when the even the FBI was saying
- 15:33Speaker 2: there's no justification for a search. Hey, some terrible, terrible news.
- 15:38Speaker 2: It's not confirmed, but Cardinal Dolan may be leaving. We
- 15:41Speaker 2: love Cardinal Dolan. He's seventy five. You know, when you're
- 15:45Speaker 2: seventy five, you're supposed to resign and retire as the
- 15:48Speaker 2: cardinals seventy five, it's a mandatory thing in the church.
- 15:51Speaker 2: He turned seventy five last year turned into his resignation.
- 15:56Speaker 2: But sometimes they just don't take it for a while.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And you remember, the pope died and we had a
- 16:01Speaker 2: new pope, so that put everything on hold for a while,
- 16:05Speaker 2: and sometimes they cannot accept the resignation right away. But
- 16:08Speaker 2: there's rumors and word coming out of the archdiocese that
- 16:12Speaker 2: they're going to accept the resignation. Who would be the
- 16:16Speaker 2: new cardinal will? It looks like according again according to sources,
- 16:20Speaker 2: So it's not one hundred percent. It's the bishop from
- 16:23Speaker 2: Chicago's name is Hicks. Very good resume for this sort
- 16:28Speaker 2: of stuff with including a lot of management experience, which
- 16:31Speaker 2: is important. So keep an eye on that. Hey, we'll
- 16:35Speaker 2: take some calls next. Eight hundred three to two one
- 16:38Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three to
- 16:41Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten, R simone show on sevent
- 16:45Speaker 2: ten wor Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three
- 16:51Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten is the number. Let's
- 16:54Speaker 2: go to a Jacqueline in Brooklyn. Jacqueline, how you doing?
- 16:57Speaker 5: Hi? Mark good? A little cold, but okay, I have
- 17:01Speaker 5: a question for you, Nick Reiner, the son of the
- 17:06Speaker 5: late Rob and Michelle Reiner. I don't know if you
- 17:09Speaker 5: knew them at all. No one is talking at all
- 17:12Speaker 5: about whether or not he had any type of mental
- 17:14Speaker 5: illness or whether he was on the spectrum. Asperger's anything
- 17:17Speaker 5: like that. Yeah, Nick Reiner.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, obviously he was completely psycho had a million mental problems.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I never met I knew Rob Reiner, and I didn't
- 17:27Speaker 2: know the wife. I never met Nick, but just looking
- 17:29Speaker 2: at pictures and behavior, yeah, exactly, completely psycho this kid, yep, yep.
- 17:34Speaker 5: He looked like there was something very wrong with him.
- 17:37Speaker 5: And everyone keeps talking about his drug addiction, his homelessness,
- 17:41Speaker 5: but no one ever mentioned anything. And there's no information
- 17:44Speaker 5: available online about whether or not he had any type
- 17:48Speaker 5: of problems.
- 17:49Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, of course there is. And he was
- 17:50Speaker 2: in rehab seventeen times, and he was treated by all
- 17:53Speaker 2: kinds of healthcare professionals. And you could look back and
- 17:57Speaker 2: say Rob Reiner should have done more, done something differently,
- 18:00Speaker 2: but he Rob Reiner said, you know, I'd meet with
- 18:04Speaker 2: these experts at the clinics and the doctors, and he
- 18:06Speaker 2: said they had all their diplomas on the wall. So
- 18:08Speaker 2: I just listened to them. I don't know if you're
- 18:11Speaker 2: if you had a kid who was homeless, sleeping on
- 18:15Speaker 2: the streets, if you were a wealthy person and your
- 18:17Speaker 2: kid was sleeping on the streets, and apparently he was
- 18:21Speaker 2: homeless many different times through the years, and you know
- 18:24Speaker 2: why he was homeless in Texas, he was homeless, in Maine,
- 18:26Speaker 2: he was homeless. I don't know, would you leave your
- 18:29Speaker 2: kid out there? Would you do something which you haven't
- 18:31Speaker 2: committed in some I mean, whatever Rob Reiner did, and
- 18:35Speaker 2: I'm sure he did a lot, it just obviously wasn't enough.
- 18:38Speaker 2: He didn't do enough. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike,
- 18:41Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, you no, just talking about
- 18:48Speaker 6: what you were just speaking about. You know, many drug
- 18:50Speaker 6: addicts are self medicating because of their mental illness. They go,
- 18:53Speaker 6: they get treatment, they don't like the drugs that the
- 18:56Speaker 6: traditionally prescribed, and they like to self medicate. So that's
- 19:00Speaker 6: sort of like the vicious cycle many of them in.
- 19:02Speaker 6: It's mental illness that causes drug addiction. But you know
- 19:06Speaker 6: the other thing about this story that besides the gruesome
- 19:09Speaker 6: nature of it and the circumstances, is the plaudits he's receiving,
- 19:13Speaker 6: deservedly of course, but I wonder sometimes if the gods
- 19:17Speaker 6: have been the president were killed, he would receive the
- 19:19Speaker 6: same growing. I know it's a macabre thought, but it's
- 19:25Speaker 6: it's I can't help thinking about it. In those terms.
- 19:28Speaker 2: No, it's a good point. You know. Obviously, if President
- 19:32Speaker 2: Trump died, you'd see them calling him every name in
- 19:35Speaker 2: the world, these same people. How could he speak like
- 19:38Speaker 2: that about Rob Reiner after he died. They do the
- 19:40Speaker 2: same thing with Donald Trump. And by the way, most
- 19:42Speaker 2: of them did the same thing to Rush Limbaugh. If
- 19:46Speaker 2: you go to my Twitter, we have a clip up
- 19:48Speaker 2: of the view where everyone on the panel, this is
- 19:50Speaker 2: the day after Rush died trashism calls them all kinds
- 19:54Speaker 2: of things, I mean, just awful. And you could find
- 19:57Speaker 2: a million of these same people said horrible things about
- 20:00Speaker 2: Rush right after he died. So to be outraged about
- 20:02Speaker 2: what President Trump said. Again the hypocrisy Democrats are famous for.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Let's go to Pam and Patterson. Pam, how you doing hi?
- 20:12Speaker 7: I think the other members of the Christmas party at
- 20:17Speaker 7: Conan's house can consider themselves lucky because I think he
- 20:21Speaker 7: was gearing himself up at that moment, and Bill Hayter
- 20:26Speaker 7: seems to have gotten his attention, and he wearing that hoodie,
- 20:30Speaker 7: so I think he was raging right then and there.
- 20:33Speaker 7: And I think when his parents decided to leave Hope,
- 20:37Speaker 7: you know, that broke his momentum for that.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's interesting. You know, had he not killed
- 20:45Speaker 2: his parents gotten arrested, who knows that this kid would
- 20:48Speaker 2: have done. Who knows who he might have killed, hurt, maimed.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Who knows what this kid might have done had he
- 20:54Speaker 2: just been left to be walking out on the streets
- 20:57Speaker 2: and be free, he should have obviously been admitted someplace.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I mean, he was just a time bomb waiting to
- 21:04Speaker 2: go off, waiting to kill somebody. Just unbelievable story. The
- 21:09Speaker 2: most people have been checking into this. The most famous
- 21:13Speaker 2: murder of anybody in Hollywood, I mean, the most famous
- 21:15Speaker 2: victim murdered in Hollywood ever. Anyway, when we come back,
- 21:18Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly will be with us and we'll talk to
- 21:20Speaker 2: him about all of this. Coming up next on seven
- 21:22Speaker 2: to ten WR.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Mark Simone, come on sevent WR.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Well Bill O'Reilly, the number one TV anchor for decades,
- 21:33Speaker 2: the number one best selling non fiction author on Earth. Hey,
- 21:36Speaker 2: by the way, if you're looking for Christmas presents, his
- 21:38Speaker 2: books Great Idea Book is a Great Christmas Present, and
- 21:41Speaker 2: his big best sellers. You can get everything at Bill
- 21:45Speaker 2: O'Reilly dot com. Also you can get his TV show,
- 21:49Speaker 2: The column Everything and make sure you check out his
- 21:51Speaker 2: YouTube channel. A lot of good stuff there. Bill O'Reilly,
- 21:54Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 21:56Speaker 1: You know I'm wrapping presents that well.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Don't you get him wrapped at the store. Don't don't
- 22:04Speaker 2: you get him.
- 22:06Speaker 6: I'm not rapping.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I actually hired people to do that because I can't
- 22:11Speaker 1: wrap anyway. Even if I could wrap, I can't wrap.
- 22:15Speaker 1: But you know, it's a crazy time, as you know.
- 22:18Speaker 1: This is uh our last chat I think before Christmas
- 22:21Speaker 1: and New Yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Right, yeah, so you know, anywhere fun. I don't know,
- 22:25Speaker 2: I haven't decided yet.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Oh last minute kind of.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Guy, definitely always so, well, will you be around in Christmas?
- 22:34Speaker 2: You're going away here?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I like to stay in the area. You know.
- 22:39Speaker 1: That's a tradition for my family. Uh in Levittown. We
- 22:44Speaker 1: had great Christmases there when I was growing up. Everybody
- 22:49Speaker 1: in the neighborhood got together and it was a much
- 22:52Speaker 1: lighter time and history than it is now. Uh, that's
- 22:56Speaker 1: for sure. But I've kind of extended that and so
- 23:01Speaker 1: we'll be on Long Island and hopefully everybody will be happy.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, I mean your message of the day. You
- 23:10Speaker 2: go to Bill O'Reilly dot com every day there's a
- 23:12Speaker 2: message of the day. But you're talking about Trump. You've
- 23:15Speaker 2: known forever. I've known this guy from millions a year.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I just got used to it. I think you haven't
- 23:19Speaker 2: gotten used to it yet, because you said I don't
- 23:21Speaker 2: understand why he likes to walk on the wild side.
- 23:24Speaker 2: That's him, that's part of him.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's a calculation that you have to make.
- 23:30Speaker 1: And I think the President made a mistake with the
- 23:34Speaker 1: Rob Ryaner stuff, and not so much a Vanity Fair
- 23:38Speaker 1: said it was. That was just a foolish move. Why
- 23:40Speaker 1: buy the Why not give the time to Mark Simon
- 23:44Speaker 1: or Bill O'Reilly. You know who's going to give you
- 23:46Speaker 1: a fair assessment. Why do you want to go to
- 23:50Speaker 1: Vanity Fair out in Hollywood where they all hate you,
- 23:53Speaker 1: and you know they're not going to write anything good
- 23:55Speaker 1: about you. I don't understand that. But there comes a point,
- 24:02Speaker 1: and I know this to be true, where Donald Trump
- 24:05Speaker 1: wants his legacy in history to be cemented in a
- 24:09Speaker 1: positive way. And he has got an amazing story to tell.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Nobody's ever done what he's done as far as getting elected,
- 24:19Speaker 1: as far as trying to solve as many problems as
- 24:22Speaker 1: he's taken on. He's really got a good story to tell,
- 24:26Speaker 1: but it goes over the cliff with the Rob Reiner stuff,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and that is yes, you're correct, he's playing buoyant. He's
- 24:34Speaker 1: going to say he wants to say, and all that
- 24:36Speaker 1: has worked for him. It has all worked for him.
- 24:42Speaker 1: But now he's in a different stage of his life.
- 24:47Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to get across when we speak. Now,
- 24:50Speaker 1: you've got to start cementing your legacy, and the first
- 24:54Speaker 1: step to that is winning the midterm elections next year.
- 24:57Speaker 1: If you lose, your legacy is going to be that.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah, well, of course you're one hundred percent right, totally right.
- 25:04Speaker 2: But again, I've known the guy from millions of years
- 25:07Speaker 2: and I've been hearing people say this forever and I
- 25:10Speaker 2: can't tell you why, but this is what he does.
- 25:13Speaker 2: He enjoys it. It's like when you see a normal,
- 25:15Speaker 2: distinguished guy and every night he goes out and gets
- 25:17Speaker 2: drunk out of his mind. Why does he do it?
- 25:19Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I mean this is a you know, look, Trump likes
- 25:23Speaker 1: the action. Yeah, okay, he likes just like somebody goes
- 25:28Speaker 1: to casino. He's been in fifteen football games. He likes
- 25:34Speaker 1: the action, and he knows when he throws something out
- 25:39Speaker 1: on social media that the next day or two is
- 25:42Speaker 1: going to be dominated by what he says, and that
- 25:46Speaker 1: engages him. Absolutely true, But there is a selective process.
- 25:53Speaker 1: You're going to have the action without hurting yourself. And
- 25:57Speaker 1: that's what I'm trying to get across.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Oh, you're right, but I'm you know, It's like I
- 26:00Speaker 2: love to watch the football game and then there's a
- 26:02Speaker 2: guy next to me who bet fortune on it and
- 26:04Speaker 2: he's having a heart attack during the game. I don't
- 26:07Speaker 2: know how you can enjoy that, but there are guys
- 26:09Speaker 2: that enjoy that, and that's trump you like that.
- 26:11Speaker 1: No, I mean, look, I'm not a psychiatrist. All I'm
- 26:15Speaker 1: doing is trying to say, look, and this is my
- 26:17Speaker 1: whole career, more than fifty years. And you know, I
- 26:21Speaker 1: was at immediate party. Again, I never go to these things,
- 26:24Speaker 1: but Dan abrams through it and he's a good guy,
- 26:27Speaker 1: and so I did go. And you know, I'm the icon, No,
- 26:31Speaker 1: a last man standing, five year old, fifty years in
- 26:36Speaker 1: this business and the reason I'd lasted so long and
- 26:40Speaker 1: continue to do well is because I want the best
- 26:46Speaker 1: for the country. That is what I do. And I
- 26:53Speaker 1: clearly spell out why I say what I say, and
- 26:59Speaker 1: I think that Donald Trump has been a very good
- 27:02Speaker 1: president policy wise, you know. And I understand his anger
- 27:07Speaker 1: because the same thing happened to me at a much
- 27:09Speaker 1: more limited thing. But I've been attacked, you know, thirty
- 27:14Speaker 1: out of the fifty years, the first twenty were being
- 27:16Speaker 1: a reporter. So I was attack being a reporter once
- 27:19Speaker 1: I came into the news analysis area and my family, me, everybody,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and you are furious when that happens, and bitter, and
- 27:30Speaker 1: that is what Donald Trump is consumed by these people.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Just yesterday, the grass Leaders senator from Iowa puts out
- 27:41Speaker 1: that there's no probable cause to raid my alago for
- 27:44Speaker 1: the top secret documents. Then he did it anyway, and
- 27:49Speaker 1: nobody will be held to account. Well, he drives Trump nuts,
- 27:54Speaker 1: and it should. He's a human being. I got a
- 27:59Speaker 1: list of people that I like to visit and I
- 28:01Speaker 1: won't be bringing Christmas presents to him, but I'm a
- 28:05Speaker 1: little bit more restrained.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Well, but that's you, and you've always done a great show.
- 28:11Speaker 2: You don't cross the line. But I've seen other hosts,
- 28:13Speaker 2: and you know who some of them are, They've always
- 28:15Speaker 2: got to cross the line. They've always got to do
- 28:17Speaker 2: something outrageous, They've always got to get in a little trouble.
- 28:20Speaker 1: They enjoy it, but that's because they don't have anything else.
- 28:23Speaker 1: They got to live and die on controversy. That's why
- 28:26Speaker 1: they make their money. But Trump's got other stuff, and
- 28:31Speaker 1: that's when we speak. That's what tried to cross to him,
- 28:36Speaker 1: because he knows that. You know, I wrote in fronting
- 28:39Speaker 1: the Presidents, and I didn't rank him, but you can
- 28:42Speaker 1: clearly see which presidents were successful and which presidents weren't.
- 28:46Speaker 1: And then Trump inherent's the second worst president in our history.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Joe Biden, all of that mess he has to deal with,
- 28:54Speaker 1: and he's dealt with it pretty effectively. But you really
- 28:58Speaker 1: need Rob Reiner. You don't. You can be in the
- 29:03Speaker 1: action without hurting yourself. That is my message.
- 29:07Speaker 2: That's a good message, But it's not him. The only
- 29:10Speaker 2: guy I've ever seen change maybe Howard Stern, who was,
- 29:14Speaker 2: you know, always getting himself into trouble and then a
- 29:16Speaker 2: couple of years ago decided I'm gonna clean all that up.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna be woke, I'm gonna be That's the only
- 29:20Speaker 2: one of those guys I've ever seen switch and actually change.
- 29:24Speaker 1: And I don't think Trump has to change, he just
- 29:28Speaker 1: has to modify a little bit. I think it would
- 29:34Speaker 1: be bad for him to change because he gets a
- 29:38Speaker 1: lot done by sheer force personality, by just his presence.
- 29:44Speaker 1: So why would you change that. I wouldn't, But you
- 29:48Speaker 1: have a selective menu of things that you can tweet about,
- 29:53Speaker 1: and when somebody's throat is cut, I don't know if
- 29:57Speaker 1: I would go into that precinct.
- 30:00Speaker 2: No, of course I wouldn't either. But and he should modify,
- 30:03Speaker 2: but let's not hold our breath waiting for it. I
- 30:07Speaker 2: don't think it's good.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Look, it's not my job to be his campaign manager.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I'm not Colonel Tom Parker with hels Okay. I'm looking
- 30:17Speaker 1: out for the country. And he's a strong president who's
- 30:22Speaker 1: done a lot of good and a lot of Americans
- 30:25Speaker 1: will never admit it because they believe what they want
- 30:27Speaker 1: to believe. But he has. He's brought a lot of
- 30:34Speaker 1: different approaches to solving problems and has been successful more
- 30:39Speaker 1: than he's not been successful. So you don't want to
- 30:43Speaker 1: blunt that. I don't think like creating unnecessary barriers for yourself.
- 30:51Speaker 1: But you're right, I mean again, I mean, I can
- 30:54Speaker 1: only do what I can do. I can talk to
- 30:57Speaker 1: guys like you. I can do the no Spin news
- 31:00Speaker 1: as I can go on news Nation, I can write
- 31:02Speaker 1: my books. I can't do any more than that. But
- 31:06Speaker 1: I am I have to tell the truth. I'm compelled
- 31:10Speaker 1: to tell it, and that I think has worked for me.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Well again, you're not wrong, You're not wrong. But it's
- 31:19Speaker 2: always going to be this way with him. Hey, by
- 31:21Speaker 2: the way, Christmas, book is a great Christmas present. You
- 31:25Speaker 2: don't have to go in the store and look for
- 31:27Speaker 2: a book is a perfect present. People.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you know your life in this very troubling age
- 31:33Speaker 1: where evil seems to be overwhelming us, people need to
- 31:37Speaker 1: know about how it assembles, how it gains power, and
- 31:44Speaker 1: how what you can do as a human being a
- 31:46Speaker 1: good person to mitigate it. Because as much as evil
- 31:50Speaker 1: in a Bondai Beach or Brown University, it's in your
- 31:54Speaker 1: neighborhood and sometimes in your own family, as the Whiners
- 31:58Speaker 1: found out, And when you see it, you can't turn away.
- 32:03Speaker 1: That's the theme of the book. But what I've done
- 32:05Speaker 1: is to save people money, because I know money is
- 32:09Speaker 1: tight with the insurance payments you got to make, and
- 32:12Speaker 1: we all have to make and the food. I put
- 32:14Speaker 1: all my books together, fifteen of them, thirteen killing, two
- 32:18Speaker 1: confronting for a very very reasonable price on Bill O'Reilly
- 32:23Speaker 1: dot com. You give those books away as presents. You
- 32:27Speaker 1: will save yourself hundreds of dollars by doing that. And
- 32:31Speaker 1: these books are in demand. People want them. Sound like
- 32:34Speaker 1: a tie or something, you know, if you give somebody
- 32:37Speaker 1: a tie, because in a droid of a seat. Again, No,
- 32:41Speaker 1: so you know, we're all we can make a lot
- 32:43Speaker 1: more money than we make. But I'm not in business
- 32:46Speaker 1: to do that. I'm in business to try, as I said,
- 32:48Speaker 1: to make the country a little bit better, a little
- 32:51Speaker 1: bit more comfortable.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's a great Christmas viasent. You get one book,
- 32:54Speaker 2: but the best deal is the fifteen best sellers, and
- 32:57Speaker 2: you got all your Christmas shopping done right there, Billy
- 33:00Speaker 2: com Billoreilly dot com. Well, Bill O'Reilly, we'll talk to you,
- 33:04Speaker 2: I guess in the new year. Have a great holiday
- 33:06Speaker 2: and thanks for being with us.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you had a great people should know. Simone had
- 33:09Speaker 1: a great twenty twenty five, very strong ratings. So you
- 33:13Speaker 1: deserve your time off. I hope you have, you know, fun.
- 33:17Speaker 1: And first thing twenty six.
- 33:20Speaker 2: We'll be back all right, Bill, O'Reilly, Thanks for being
- 33:23Speaker 2: with us, Take care. Hey, don't forget coming up at noon,
- 33:27Speaker 2: buck Sexton, Clay Travis, great show here on seven ten wor. Hey,
- 33:32Speaker 2: you've got another hour to go, a lot to get
- 33:34Speaker 2: to right after the news here on seven ten Woir
