- 3:53Speaker 2: coming up next some words that we hope will inspire
- 3:57Speaker 2: you your mourning mindset and in honor of our best
- 4:01Speaker 2: of the eighties and nineties weekend. Of course, it's going
- 4:04Speaker 2: to be a lyric from a song from those two
- 4:06Speaker 2: decades of nostalgia and memories. Stay there. That's just minutes away,
- 4:13Speaker 2: sob and Chilly in the morning, it's ninety seven point
- 4:15Speaker 2: one wasche fam Across from me is Kat Harris because
- 4:18Speaker 2: Chili's on vacation and it is that time of the

- 4:24Speaker 2: through right now.
- 4:25Speaker 4: We are going to wrap up the week with positive
- 4:28Speaker 4: words of inspiration. Toby, what's your morning mindset today?
- 4:31Speaker 2: Well, of course, going into this best of the eighties
- 4:34Speaker 2: and nineties weekend, it starts with Sabrita Conzi. Later on
- 4:36Speaker 2: at five, I thought it best to go back to
- 4:39Speaker 2: nineteen ninety nine to grab a lyric from boz Lherman.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Remember the song Everyone's Free to Wear Sunscreen. That's one
- 4:46Speaker 2: of my favorite songs of all time. Boz Lehrman says,
- 4:49Speaker 2: sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and in the end it's only with yourself. Sometimes you're ahead,
- 4:58Speaker 2: sometimes you're behind. The race is long, and in the end,
- 5:00Speaker 2: it's only with yourself. Boz Lermann, from the nineteen ninety
- 5:03Speaker 2: nine song Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen. Well, if you'll
- 5:07Speaker 2: indulge me, I'll share my thoughts with you on why
- 5:09Speaker 2: this is important to you and I. Right now, we've
- 5:12Speaker 2: got to stop comparing our chapter twelve in life to
- 5:16Speaker 2: somebody else's highlight reel? Does that make sense? Stop comparing
- 5:22Speaker 2: what is chapter twelve in your own story in your
- 5:26Speaker 2: life to somebody else's highlight reel? You're not them, You're
- 5:30Speaker 2: you and what you do. What you do is really
- 5:35Speaker 2: what matters the most when it comes to you. The
- 5:39Speaker 2: race is long, and in the end, remember it is
- 5:42Speaker 2: only with yourself, not anybody else. At your morning mindset
- 5:46Speaker 2: for this Friday, as we get into a best of
- 5:48Speaker 2: the eighties and nineties weekend starts five o'clock today, remember that.
- 5:52Speaker 2: And if you need to see that, hear that, maybe
- 5:55Speaker 2: you want to share it, You'll find it on our Instagram, Facebook,
- 5:59Speaker 2: all of these social things, and of course if you
- 6:02Speaker 2: need it directly, feel free to reach out to us
- 6:04Speaker 2: at the Toby and Chilipage washfm dot com. Here at
- 6:07Speaker 2: ninety seven point one WASHFM. We're gonna talk in a
- 6:11Speaker 2: minute about office etiquette.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Why KT, Well, because I perhaps am using some other
- 6:17Speaker 4: coworker stuff that I shouldn't be using.
- 6:19Speaker 2: All right, well, eight six six nineteen seven forty three
- 6:22Speaker 2: sixty one, we'll get into this in just a few
- 6:26Speaker 2: I've asked our producer Crash to join us for this
- 6:28Speaker 2: conversation Toby and Chili in the morning. It's ninety seven
- 6:31Speaker 2: point one. Was Chef m Kat Harris is in for
- 6:34Speaker 2: Chili today. Kat, I understand you have an office etiquette question,
- 6:39Speaker 2: by the way, chime in at eight six six ninet two,
- 6:41Speaker 2: seven forty three sixty one. What's on your mind?
- 6:45Speaker 4: I've been filling it all week and I really like
- 6:48Speaker 4: having a large class, and I don't have one here. However,
- 6:51Speaker 4: when you open up the cupboard in the break room,
- 6:53Speaker 4: there's a whole bunch of glasses and there's a nice.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Little red one. I've been using it all week long.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Doesn't belong to me. I wash it and put it back.
- 7:00Speaker 4: But is that wrong to use a cup out of
- 7:03Speaker 4: the breakroom that isn't necessarily your cup. I mean I
- 7:07Speaker 4: kind of feel like it's up for grabs if it's
- 7:08Speaker 4: in the breakroom.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Maybe I think that as long as you wash it
- 7:13Speaker 2: and you put it away when you're done, no harm,
- 7:17Speaker 2: no foul. And I only say that for us because
- 7:20Speaker 2: we're here at a time when nobody else is here,
- 7:22Speaker 2: so you can effectively use it, then sneak it back
- 7:25Speaker 2: into where you found it clean before anybody else notices it.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Now a producer crash, you have some thoughts. I would
- 7:31Speaker 2: just have to say, no, no, that is not it.
- 7:35Speaker 4: But it's up in the breakroom, like if you want
- 7:37Speaker 4: your personal cup you put it in your locker.
- 7:40Speaker 2: And I'm sure that this is just my own paranoia,
- 7:42Speaker 2: but all I can picture is someone wandering around aimlessly
- 7:46Speaker 2: looking for their cup. That's true. And there's some pretty
- 7:49Speaker 2: nice coffee mugs up in there in that because I
- 7:52Speaker 2: know where that shelf is just talking about, and it's
- 7:55Speaker 2: a shmorgasboard of stuff, stuff that doesn't really belong to me,
- 7:59Speaker 2: So I don't think I would us. And I have
- 8:01Speaker 2: my own coffee cup and whatever that I bring in.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Well, a message to the owner of the red tall
- 8:06Speaker 4: cup that's been in the break room.
- 8:08Speaker 2: It wasn't me, yep. And you won't post a picture
- 8:13Speaker 2: of that on the Toby and Chili page at washfm
- 8:15Speaker 2: dot com, ra on Instagram, Facebook, Nope, of course not.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I'll make sure I watch it. I probably you need
- 8:21Speaker 2: to go. There's some sponges in there, I know, and
- 8:23Speaker 2: there's dis soap for a reason. I bought it, so
- 8:25Speaker 2: you feel free to use it. God have mercy on
- 8:28Speaker 2: our souls. If it's like a general manager or somebody's cup,
- 8:32Speaker 2: we're all busted. Toby and Chilli in the Morning ninety
- 8:34Speaker 2: seven point one wash FM. Stay there, we've got top
- 8:37Speaker 2: stories at the top of the hour coming up KT.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Before you go, wash that cup, tell us what you're working.
- 8:42Speaker 4: On DC, getting ready for a round of Huge Superstars.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I'll tell you all about it in a few.

- 9:00Speaker 2: you had something you were thinking about.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Yes, I just wanted to mention if you work from
- 9:04Speaker 4: home and then you got to go back into the office.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I've learned these lessons heads up.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Number one, always bring a shawl, a jacket or something
- 9:10Speaker 4: because it can be chilly. And number two, probably not
- 9:12Speaker 4: a good idea to start grabbing cups from the breakroom
- 9:15Speaker 4: that don't belong to you.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Album speaking of being chilly, I'm going to run next
- 9:18Speaker 2: door and turn the air conditioning off because it is colding.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Ninety seven point one WASHFM, Washington, an iHeartRadio station, coming
- 9:29Speaker 1: up on top stories top of the hour.

- 9:38Speaker 4: on ninety seven point one, WASHFM.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Top Stories, Top of the Hour.

- 9:49Speaker 4: more than two hundred are dead and thousands are injured
- 9:51Speaker 4: following Wednesdays back to back earthquakes. Northern Virginia first responders
- 9:58Speaker 4: known as Virginia Task Worse one, they've been activated and
- 10:02Speaker 4: they are headed their way to help. The final round
- 10:05Speaker 4: of group stage games at the World Cup continued with
- 10:08Speaker 4: twelve teams in action yesterday. Ivory Coast started the day
- 10:13Speaker 4: with a win over Caroco in Philadelphia, while Ecuador upset
- 10:16Speaker 4: Germany in East Rutherford. Elsewhere, Japan and Sweden played to
- 10:20Speaker 4: a draw in Arlington, and the Netherlands top Tunisia in
- 10:24Speaker 4: Kansas City. Funeral services are set for the late music
- 10:28Speaker 4: mogul Clive Davis. Artists from his long career who are
- 10:32Speaker 4: expected to participate include Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Deon Warwick,
- 10:37Speaker 4: Barry Maniloe, Kenny g and Jennifer Hudson. Davis passed away
- 10:41Speaker 4: on Monday at the age of ninety four. His funeral
- 10:44Speaker 4: is happening Monday in New York City. A race that's
- 10:47Speaker 4: going to take place during DC's Indiecar Freedom two fifty
- 10:50Speaker 4: Grand Prix will feature some big names from another motor sport.
- 10:56Speaker 4: The International Race of Champions will hold an event on
- 11:00Speaker 4: the one point seven miles street course right around the

- 11:16Speaker 4: Chance of showers and thunderstorms later today with a high
- 11:20Speaker 4: of eighty seven. Currently we are at seventy four in Clinton.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And that's the news. Remember top Stories at the top
- 11:27Speaker 2: of the hour with Toby and Chilly in the Morning,
- 11:29Speaker 2: ninety seven point one wash FM, coming right back to
- 11:32Speaker 2: talk with you about this year of nostalgia. Have you
- 11:35Speaker 2: heard twenty twenty six from vacations this summer to the
- 11:39Speaker 2: entire year overall, they're saying that this is the year
- 11:43Speaker 2: when we embrace nostalgia. How do you feel about this?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Looking backwards just a bit, eight six six, nineteen seven,
- 11:50Speaker 2: forty three sixty one is the number. We're going to
- 11:52Speaker 2: talk about this in just a few minutes Friday morning
- 11:56Speaker 2: at ninety seven point one Wash FM, Toby and Chiley
- 11:59Speaker 2: in Morning I can't stop thinking about lunch. Arby's has
- 12:05Speaker 2: got these new cheese steaks. They are amazing. I know
- 12:09Speaker 2: I just ruined your lunch plans, but you know what, Arby's,
- 12:12Speaker 2: they've got the meats. Now they've got the cheese steaks.
- 12:15Speaker 2: You've got to try them. It's really appropriate timing that
- 12:18Speaker 2: we're talking about this right now, knowing that we've got
- 12:20Speaker 2: our best of the eighties and nineties weekend ahead of
- 12:23Speaker 2: us today. Nostalgia Katie Harrison for Chili Yamar Nostalgia.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Forty eight percent of Americans say that yeah, it is
- 12:31Speaker 4: going to be nostalgia this year, and basically what they're
- 12:33Speaker 4: doing when it comes to vacations, instead of choosing new experiences,
- 12:36Speaker 4: they are choosing to go to places to recreate memories
- 12:40Speaker 4: from earlier stages in life. So my question is what
- 12:45Speaker 4: year in your life would you love to go back to.
- 12:49Speaker 2: That's a good question. Eight sixty six, ninet two, seven
- 12:52Speaker 2: forty three, sixty one. I would probably want to go
- 12:54Speaker 2: back to my junior year of high school. How old
- 12:57Speaker 2: would I have been then, sixteen sixteen? I wish I
- 13:00Speaker 2: would have had more self confidence then, And if I
- 13:02Speaker 2: could go back and whisper to myself. Then I'd be like, Hey,
- 13:06Speaker 2: people like you for you don't be scared and quiet
- 13:10Speaker 2: because you're not a quiet person. Because if I'm honest
- 13:12Speaker 2: about a KT, I had issues with that back in
- 13:15Speaker 2: the day. Oh now, Joe, what about you? What year
- 13:18Speaker 2: would you redo?
- 13:19Speaker 4: You know, I've been thinking about this for a while,
- 13:21Speaker 4: and I have to say probably the last year of
- 13:24Speaker 4: high school, because I knew nothing, but yet I knew everything.
- 13:29Speaker 4: And it was just filled with days of going to
- 13:32Speaker 4: King's Dominion, riding the Rebel Yell or the Grizzly, or
- 13:36Speaker 4: going to Wildwood and going to the beach, you know,
- 13:39Speaker 4: and going to the club sneaking into the clubs of
- 13:41Speaker 4: the fake idy. Not that I did that, but those
- 13:43Speaker 4: days were actually and I was brazen. I did not care.
- 13:46Speaker 4: I was seventeen, and again I knew nothing, but yet
- 13:48Speaker 4: I knew everything. And I would love to go back
- 13:50Speaker 4: to that.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Oh, the dichotomy between you and I. I was all
- 13:53Speaker 2: timid and insecure at sixteen seventeen. You didn't care sneak
- 13:58Speaker 2: me into the club they give it.
- 14:00Speaker 4: To the nine thirty club, rubbing off that little stamp
- 14:02Speaker 4: that they gave you, trying to get beverages that I
- 14:04Speaker 4: shouldn't have. So let's think about this during this year
- 14:07Speaker 4: of nostalgia. If you could go back and relive a
- 14:09Speaker 4: certain year, what would that year be and why? Maybe
- 14:11Speaker 4: a certain moment, a certain time in your life.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Give us a call and tell us eight six six
- 14:15Speaker 2: ninet two seven forty three sixty one. So call us now,
- 14:18Speaker 2: we're talking about it in minutes. Don't go anywhere. Twenty
- 14:22Speaker 2: eight twenty six, they say, is the year of nostalgia.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Toby and Chilly in the morning, it's ninety seven point one.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Wash FM. Kat is in for Chiley today. Now we've
- 14:31Speaker 2: been kind of reliving past moments because.
- 14:34Speaker 4: The new trend is nostalgic vacations. People this year and
- 14:38Speaker 4: the year of twenty twenty six are choosing to have
- 14:41Speaker 4: experiences that bring them back to those good memories. And
- 14:45Speaker 4: so we're asking if you could go back and relive
- 14:48Speaker 4: one year of your life, what would what year would
- 14:50Speaker 4: it be?
- 14:51Speaker 2: Eight six six ninety two, seven forty three sixty one
- 14:53Speaker 2: is the number? Talkbacks wide open too if you want
- 14:55Speaker 2: to drop us a quick voice note and you're signed
- 14:58Speaker 2: in listening to us on your iHeart app. We go
- 15:01Speaker 2: over to Fairfax this morning, Tracy, what year would you
- 15:04Speaker 2: want to relive?
- 15:06Speaker 5: I probably would pick the year right after college.
- 15:10Speaker 2: And why is that?
- 15:11Speaker 6: Because it was like everything was so hopeful and exciting
- 15:14Speaker 6: and now.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Like it's a few years later and I'm.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Really jaded, jaded, welcome to life. Can I just say, same,
- 15:21Speaker 4: same girl, same same. Thank you for the call this morning, Tracy.
- 15:25Speaker 4: It gets better, we promised.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Tiffany. Hello, thanks for listening to us in Rockfille this morning.
- 15:30Speaker 1: If I could redo one year in my life, it
- 15:32Speaker 1: would probably be my eighteenth year.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Oh that is what I said, eighteen as well. Now
- 15:37Speaker 4: why would it be that for you?
- 15:39Speaker 7: Just because I feel like that's the beginning of adulthood
- 15:43Speaker 7: and you know, decisions being made.
- 15:45Speaker 5: And if I only knew then what I knew now, well,
- 15:46Speaker 5: if that.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Was the case, you would have been even more dangerous.
- 15:51Speaker 2: I think you're speaking of yourself there, Katie. Thank you
- 15:55Speaker 2: so much, Tracy for jumping into the conversation. Sam has
- 15:59Speaker 2: been patient waiting in Fort Washington. Hello, Sam, what's up?
- 16:03Speaker 5: If I could relive one year of my.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Life, it would be the year before my first kid
- 16:08Speaker 2: was born. Now, why is that I had money that
- 16:10Speaker 2: I didn't know I had I was richer than that.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I realized once kid coming to the picture, all your
- 16:15Speaker 3: money goes to them.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Ain't that the truth? Sam? And all that money still
- 16:19Speaker 2: keeps going to them after they graduate college, after they
- 16:23Speaker 2: move out of the house. It's called college tuition comes due.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I say this from experience. Make sure your kid applies
- 16:32Speaker 2: for some scholarships and whatnot. Anyway, if there was a
- 16:35Speaker 2: year in your life you could redo, even if just
- 16:37Speaker 2: for a day. You know where we are. Tell us
- 16:39Speaker 2: all about it. Tap that talk back microphone. Always love
- 16:42Speaker 2: you hearing what you think about the things we talk
- 16:44Speaker 2: about together. Friday Morning Top Stories at the top of
- 16:47Speaker 2: the hour. On the way here at ninety seven point one,
