- 0:11Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:14Speaker 1: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy, I'm
- 0:18Speaker 1: a former Hallmark hater. On today's episode, we're back with
- 0:22Speaker 1: a surprise episode of Hallmark Headlines. There is so much
- 0:27Speaker 1: going on in the world of Hallmark right now. I mean,
- 0:30Speaker 1: I just look through this extensive list you sent me,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and I think every reaction was like, yeah, I felt
- 0:38Speaker 1: like we really needed to run down some of the
- 0:40Speaker 1: biggest news in Hallmark lately in our Hallmark Headlines episode,
- 0:45Speaker 1: which we haven't had in a minute. But we are
- 0:49Speaker 1: the original it's been on the hold. Headlines don't really
- 0:52Speaker 1: come out of Hallmark until this time of year anyway,
- 0:56Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, it's when all the
- 0:58Speaker 1: Christmas stuff and that's all the people really want to
- 1:00Speaker 1: I know about it anyway. So, and this is very
- 1:02Speaker 1: Christmas heavy. But up top, we have a few trailers
- 1:06Speaker 1: and first looks that have dropped from Hallmark recently. First up,
- 1:12Speaker 1: we have the trailer for Paris is Always a Good Idea,
- 1:15Speaker 1: which is coming to Hallmark Plus on July thirtieth. We
- 1:18Speaker 1: will drop the link to this trailer. It'll be embedded
- 1:22Speaker 1: in our show notes. If you click on through to
- 1:23Speaker 1: Girl's Go on Homemark dot com, you can watch it there.
- 1:26Speaker 1: But Wendy just watched it, and tell me what you
- 1:29Speaker 1: said after watching it. I said, I got chills and
- 1:32Speaker 1: then my nose got all tingly like I was gonna cry.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And I have no idea why. Well, it's funny because
- 1:37Speaker 1: I watched it last night. But then I was listening
- 1:39Speaker 1: to it as you were watching it, and I noticed
- 1:42Speaker 1: that the music is really good in the trailer. Yeah,
- 1:46Speaker 1: the music's good in it, and Lisa's got bangs. I
- 1:49Speaker 1: think she looks great. Yeah, is that supposed to like
- 1:53Speaker 1: show like a time time change like when she was,
- 1:57Speaker 1: oh maybe in Paris as a younger girl. We have
- 2:00Speaker 1: screeners of it right now. I'm really excited. I do
- 2:03Speaker 1: want to dig into it, like me sooner than later.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Me too. I almost started watching the other day and
- 2:07Speaker 1: I was like, no, I have stuff that I actually
- 2:08Speaker 1: have to review this weekend. Yeah. Same, I kind of
- 2:11Speaker 1: want to. I just want to watch it for fun. Yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: me too. But it is coming July thirtieth only on
- 2:18Speaker 1: Hallmark Plus. If you guys don't know, if you have
- 2:22Speaker 1: a library card and you don't have Hallmark Plus. You
- 2:25Speaker 1: can get Hallmark Plus with a library card. We have
- 2:27Speaker 1: a tutorial on how to access Hallmark Plus with a
- 2:32Speaker 1: library card. Yeah, for free. It's on our website. Girls
- 2:36Speaker 1: Gone Hallmark. I will leave a link to it in
- 2:37Speaker 1: our show notes as well. Question for you, Hallmark has
- 2:41Speaker 1: played this game of exclusive content to get people over
- 2:46Speaker 1: to their streamer. I mean it's not a homemark business, baby, Yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 1: I'm not knocking it. But do of all the things
- 2:53Speaker 1: that they've made exclusive to Hallmark Plus, this feels like
- 2:57Speaker 1: the biggest deal, right putting a Lazy Shebert series over there.
- 3:03Speaker 1: What's not the first time they had Lazy Schabert's Celebrations,
- 3:07Speaker 1: which was a reality TV show. But the Hallmark audience
- 3:12Speaker 1: hasn't really responded as well to reality as I think
- 3:15Speaker 1: Hallmark had Hope really rip finding Mister Christmas, right, I mean,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I feel like it's a Lazy Shabert twenty twenty six, right.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I know she's got two big headline moments big so yeah.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I think I think the people are gonna come over
- 3:34Speaker 1: for it for sure, And if it's just a short
- 3:36Speaker 1: time frame, if they're like, I'm just gonna do it
- 3:40Speaker 1: for these eight episodes or whatever, how many six episodes.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I don't even know how long the show is going
- 3:46Speaker 1: to be. Yeah, and then they're like, oh, look at this,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I can stream everything next day commercial free. Oh I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: gonna stick around through the holidays, like I like Hallmark Plus,
- 3:55Speaker 1: so I do too. I think it's worth the investment. Yes,
- 4:00Speaker 1: and they are constantly dropping deals. Yeah, you just gotta
- 4:04Speaker 1: google it. Yeah. Next up, we have our first look
- 4:07Speaker 1: at Holiday ever after a Disney World Wish Come True.
- 4:11Speaker 1: My first impression is I hate that title. It's so wordy. Yes,
- 4:18Speaker 1: but it is like a mashup of Hallmark and Disney. Yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 1: they get they had to get that name in there.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I'm sure Disney was like, we got to get that
- 4:26Speaker 1: wish in there. That's very much their brand. And of
- 4:29Speaker 1: course in the trailer you see Lacy's character making a wish. Yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 1: all that stuff. Oh, even down to the branding where
- 4:36Speaker 1: it's like the tinker Bell with the yes, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 1: all of it's like a full mashup of Hallmark and Disney. Yes. Now,
- 4:44Speaker 1: when you watch the trailer, I do feel like it
- 4:47Speaker 1: gives Disney World infomercial vibes because right up top she
- 4:54Speaker 1: walks in and she goes, I've always wanted to stay here,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and they're obviously going to highlight those things. You're going
- 5:00Speaker 1: going to see Disney cast members being their absolute best selves.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You're gonna see the best of the best of the
- 5:06Speaker 1: Disney locations of course, riding the monorail, et cetera. The fireworks. Now,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I am a Disney fan, so that works for me.
- 5:18Speaker 1: We're actually, don't tell my kids planning a Disney World
- 5:22Speaker 1: trip during the holidays. Wendy's making the ugliest face. I
- 5:29Speaker 1: went there in the summertime. I hated it. Well, it
- 5:32Speaker 1: sucks in the summer, it was awful. December is not July.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You guys are going to Disney World in December? Now,
- 5:40Speaker 1: why not? You guys are fucking bananas? Why not because
- 5:45Speaker 1: you have like, well, I'm much No, that's very exciting
- 5:48Speaker 1: for you guys. Like the few days before Christmas, Oh
- 5:51Speaker 1: my god, I'm gonna watch you spin out and you're
- 5:55Speaker 1: gonna be like, there's so much going on. I know,
- 5:59Speaker 1: I know it is only home for so long during
- 6:01Speaker 1: college break, and we're gonna do this. Please tell me
- 6:04Speaker 1: you're gonna give him a heads up because he will
- 6:07Speaker 1: be upset. No, he'll be excited for him. No, he
- 6:10Speaker 1: wants to go so badly. Anyway, I'm making a face
- 6:13Speaker 1: because I went during the summertime and the weather was
- 6:17Speaker 1: a Troy sucks. In the summer, you feel like your
- 6:20Speaker 1: skin is a sausage casing that is about to burst.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I was wearing a plastic poncho that stuck to my body.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It was awful. I will never go again. I have
- 6:32Speaker 1: been in the summer as well, and it is the worst.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I've also been during the spring and during the wintertime,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and the winter is obviously the most desirable of those options. Anyway, However,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I did have a bomb ass cheeseburger spring roll was
- 6:48Speaker 1: so good that I think about to this day at
- 6:51Speaker 1: a Disney park. Yes, yes, my kids have never done
- 6:56Speaker 1: Epcot and they've never done Animal Kingdom, so we're gonna
- 6:58Speaker 1: do a day of those. Both were fantastic, and then
- 7:01Speaker 1: we're also going to do the Christmas party at Magic Kingdom,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and then we'll do two days at Universal because there's
- 7:08Speaker 1: a new Universal Park. I would suggest upgrading to like
- 7:12Speaker 1: VIP whatever at Universal. Yeah, yeah, that's what we did
- 7:17Speaker 1: last time. What I didn't know before watching this trailer
- 7:20Speaker 1: is that Richard Kind an actor who you will instantly recognize.
- 7:25Speaker 1: But when my husband saw the trailer, he goes, oh,
- 7:27Speaker 1: bang bong. Now, Richard Kind has three hundred and sixteen
- 7:30Speaker 1: acting credits, so he's been in many, many, many things.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Choose your own adventure as to what he's recognizable to
- 7:35Speaker 1: you in. But he plays Lacey's character's father, and that
- 7:40Speaker 1: elevates the movie for me. I recognize his face in
- 7:44Speaker 1: the trailer. Yeah, that's amazing. Also, Ryan Landell's wrote this movie,
- 7:49Speaker 1: right mm hmmm and directed. There was a there was
- 7:53Speaker 1: a really funny line in the trailer, I can't know that.
- 7:56Speaker 1: She's like, you're the Ana to his Christoff, the lady
- 7:58Speaker 1: to his tramp. At last, he goes, how did I
- 8:00Speaker 1: become the tramp in the scenario? Yes? Exactly. Yeah, I
- 8:03Speaker 1: kind of love thoughts. That's the other thing I like,
- 8:05Speaker 1: is I like those like actual ip that we get
- 8:09Speaker 1: to use those lines because it's a Disney partnership. Like hmm,
- 8:13Speaker 1: not that they couldn't, I guess. I'm sure we've heard
- 8:16Speaker 1: plenty of actual references. I mean, there's been a one
- 8:19Speaker 1: one hundred and one Taylor Swift references in the last
- 8:22Speaker 1: two years. Are you feeling haytery about this movie? Hater?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Is that our? Is that any word? You know? We
- 8:30Speaker 1: mentioned it on an on another episode. I'm not like
- 8:32Speaker 1: a huge fan of Disney. Yeah, you know this could
- 8:39Speaker 1: be like Ooh King's Hawaiian like all over again, like
- 8:44Speaker 1: times a million. Uh huh. You know, of course I'm
- 8:49Speaker 1: gonna watch it. I do feel some sort of excitement
- 8:52Speaker 1: for it. We'll see. I saw to your point about
- 8:58Speaker 1: the Oh King's Hawaiian of it all. Sleepy Kitty Pap
- 9:01Speaker 1: made a point over on Blue Sky. They were saying
- 9:05Speaker 1: that with their NFL collaboration and their Disney collaboration and
- 9:09Speaker 1: their home goods collaboration, they've really moved on from like
- 9:13Speaker 1: let me very clearly pull out this daisy to our
- 9:16Speaker 1: cream from the refrigerator, to full blown movie collaboration instead
- 9:20Speaker 1: of like product placement Nivia lotion on the counter. Right. Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: they've kind of leveled up, and it's an interesting way
- 9:27Speaker 1: to make money. So I'm here for this movie. Obviously
- 9:31Speaker 1: everyone is going to watch this movie. What's your prediction
- 9:34Speaker 1: about when this drops in the Hallmark Countdown to Christmas lineup?
- 9:37Speaker 1: That's really funny you mentioned that because I was thinking
- 9:40Speaker 1: about that the other day, and I know we'll probably
- 9:43Speaker 1: talk about the Bears movie two in the past. And
- 9:47Speaker 1: they dropped the Football movie like Thanksgiving weekend. I mean
- 9:50Speaker 1: it makes sense, right, Is there any way they drop
- 9:53Speaker 1: this and the Bears movie that Thanksgiving weekend? I think
- 9:57Speaker 1: there's they've certainly done that and builtmore. Right, Holy moy,
- 10:02Speaker 1: you forgot about that. I'm begging Hallmark right now. Please
- 10:06Speaker 1: don't drop all this stuff like on Thanksgiving weekend. Because
- 10:09Speaker 1: wasn't Thanksgiving weekend for us last year, wasn't it? I
- 10:12Speaker 1: think it always is. It was so hard for us
- 10:15Speaker 1: to cover. Yeah, and they did two movies, two movies
- 10:18Speaker 1: a night or something like that. Yeah, don't do that again, guys.
- 10:23Speaker 1: It's not just us. I remember our listeners being like, yeah,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I can't catch I can't catch up, Like, yeah, I'm behind.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Your viewers want to watch all this stuff too, But look, guys,
- 10:35Speaker 1: it's a busy weekend. Yeah. Indeed, we have another first look,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and that is our countdown to Christmas twenty twenty six
- 10:44Speaker 1: first look. And I did write down every movie and
- 10:49Speaker 1: actor lead actor that is featured in this trailer. Let's
- 10:53Speaker 1: talk about it. So the first up we have The
- 10:55Speaker 1: Nights Before Christmas starring Tyler Hines and Lazy j Meilee.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I love this pairing too. I love this pairing. I
- 11:02Speaker 1: wis shitting what this movie is about? It to me
- 11:05Speaker 1: looked like Tyler Hines was like taking tickets at a
- 11:07Speaker 1: movie theater. I don't know if that's the case. I
- 11:09Speaker 1: think there's information out about it, and I think that
- 11:12Speaker 1: makes sense because I've seen I think you're taking tickets.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I've seen them like shooting outside of like a movie
- 11:17Speaker 1: theater with a marquis Oh so hey. We also have
- 11:21Speaker 1: Christmas in Blue Dog Valleys starring Aaron Khill and Andrew Walker,
- 11:24Speaker 1: which is based on a book. Wendy thought Andrew Walker
- 11:29Speaker 1: was bringing the heat in the brief promo. I got
- 11:32Speaker 1: freaking love this pairing of Aaron and Andrews. But what
- 11:36Speaker 1: is Christmas in Blue Dog Valley about? Can I look
- 11:40Speaker 1: it up real click please? It's about a big city
- 11:43Speaker 1: vet transplanted to a small Wisconsin town. I mean, that's
- 11:48Speaker 1: giving super Hallmark, but I'm into it absolutely. I loved
- 11:54Speaker 1: everything Andrew has done in the last two years, so
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm really excited for this neck. We have a built
- 12:00Speaker 1: more Christmas up Next, starring Holland Roden and Niall Materer.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I thought I spotted Andy McDowell in this preview she
- 12:07Speaker 1: was in Yeah, yeah, yeah, in the background of that. Yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I'm very excited that she's part of this. I'm I'm
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm really looking forward to this. I love the original. Yes,
- 12:19Speaker 1: I'm interested to see what they're going to do here.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm excited for our friend of the show, Keith Nielsen,
- 12:24Speaker 1: to see his costume. Me. We almost had a chance
- 12:29Speaker 1: to be extras and we just couldn't make it work. Yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 1: when was that as anyway? Yeah, we couldn't do it.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I'm very I'm excited for that too, very excited for that.
- 12:40Speaker 1: We have Christmas Delivered starring Wes Brown and Autumn Reserve.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Love this pairing too. Yeah, I feel like they've really
- 12:46Speaker 1: dialed into who's going to be a good, good chemistry
- 12:49Speaker 1: match on these My Christmas Cowboys starring Luke McFarlane and
- 12:54Speaker 1: Amy Acker. I'm not familiar with Amy Acker, and of
- 12:58Speaker 1: course Holiday ever After was the capstone on this trailer.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Lacey Shabert and Travis van Winkle. This is, by no
- 13:05Speaker 1: means an exhaustive list of the Christmas movies that we
- 13:08Speaker 1: know are coming, but these are the clips that were
- 13:10Speaker 1: included in this promo. And I gotta tell you it's
- 13:13Speaker 1: working for me. You're it's I'm ready, You're ready July sixth,
- 13:18Speaker 1: You're ready, I'm ready. I have seen fall decorations in stores.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I don't like Fall. I like the idea of fall.
- 13:25Speaker 1: We don't get real fault. I don't like Halloween, and
- 13:27Speaker 1: I don't like fall decorps at all. So I'm like,
- 13:30Speaker 1: let's just skip it. Why don't you just skip it here?
- 13:32Speaker 1: At your house, you guys put fall decoru Why don't
- 13:35Speaker 1: you just skip right into Christmas? Because I don't want
- 13:37Speaker 1: to put up Christmas in October. Why you put it
- 13:40Speaker 1: up in November? Yeah, okay, we haven't heard anything about it,
- 13:46Speaker 1: but last year we got a couple of like Halloween
- 13:49Speaker 1: and Fall movies. There is there is a Halloween Christmas
- 13:55Speaker 1: e crossover that's like a Halloween Carol. I do think
- 13:59Speaker 1: Jeff B's on that movie. Oh, Jeff Beasley did not
- 14:02Speaker 1: tell us that, By the way, I just am guessing.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I kind of love that I know, and I have
- 14:10Speaker 1: just been reminded that as soon as October first drops,
- 14:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch Haul out the Halloween because that was
- 14:15Speaker 1: so damn funny last year. Excellent agreed to kick off
- 14:19Speaker 1: my season, got you seasonal viewing. Love it. This is
- 14:24Speaker 1: just a PSA this next part. But if you're not
- 14:26Speaker 1: following Hallmark Plus on YouTube, maybe you should because over there,
- 14:31Speaker 1: in the last few days they've been dropping free episodes
- 14:34Speaker 1: of Hallmark Plus exclusive series. Yeah, the first four episodes
- 14:41Speaker 1: of Finding Mister Christmas season one dropped for free on
- 14:45Speaker 1: the Hallmark Plus YouTube channel. If I can interrupt you
- 14:48Speaker 1: right there, they've been dropping daily, So I suspect they're
- 14:52Speaker 1: going to drop the whole season because I checked this
- 14:54Speaker 1: morning and episode four was up. So it seems like
- 14:58Speaker 1: maybe they'll drop the entire season one over there m
- 15:03Speaker 1: for free only season one though? Why not season two? Well,
- 15:06Speaker 1: maybe they'll keep going. I don't know. Do you think
- 15:08Speaker 1: they're gonna show no? Season two was on regular Hallmark
- 15:11Speaker 1: Channel this year. It was so hmm hm. They have
- 15:17Speaker 1: also dropped Holidays and the Twelve Dates Till Christmas, which
- 15:21Speaker 1: was also on Hallmark Channel. Yes, just the first episodes
- 15:26Speaker 1: of both of those. If you haven't seen Twelve Dates
- 15:29Speaker 1: Till Christmas, guys, this was an excellent series and somebody
- 15:33Speaker 1: in our Facebook group recently in the last few days
- 15:36Speaker 1: popped in over there and was like, oh, I just
- 15:38Speaker 1: watched twelve dates of Christmas and it was incredible. I'm
- 15:42Speaker 1: gonna ask a stupid question. Was that a Hallmark Plus exclusive? No,
- 15:45Speaker 1: it was on it was on Friday nights. Yeah. They
- 15:49Speaker 1: also did drop all four episodes of Christmas at S
- 15:51Speaker 1: season one, which was a Hallmark Plus exclusive last year. Yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 1: but you watched me of Christmas at Se season two,
- 15:58Speaker 1: not yet. I planned to in my mind. I planned
- 16:01Speaker 1: to because I wanted to do a little mini Instagram
- 16:04Speaker 1: review series over there or recap or highlight or something
- 16:08Speaker 1: because we're not covering it here. But I haven't have you. Okay.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Next up, Palmark announces the lineup of the stars on
- 16:17Speaker 1: the Hallmark Christmas Cruise, which is in October this year
- 16:20Speaker 1: October twenty third through twenty seventh. And looking at this lineup,
- 16:25Speaker 1: Wendy noticed two glaring absences before we get to that October.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I went November, early November, but yes, early November October
- 16:36Speaker 1: this year. Interesting, are they going to Oh the Bahamas again? Yeah? Yeah.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Two very big missing faces, one Christopher Paulaha and two
- 16:52Speaker 1: Tyler Hines. Now, I did a little googling, and it
- 16:55Speaker 1: seems like I didn't find a direct quote from Tyler himself,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but it did seem like perhaps Tyler gets stretched a
- 17:02Speaker 1: little thin over the holiday season, I think, And so
- 17:07Speaker 1: what I found suggested that he was prioritizing the Kansas
- 17:10Speaker 1: City experience. He'll be at Christmas conn as well. He
- 17:14Speaker 1: also does Christmas in a small town. He has a
- 17:18Speaker 1: lot going on and so opted not to be on
- 17:22Speaker 1: the cruise. There's no way Hallmark didn't invite him. Also
- 17:26Speaker 1: the cruise, I gotta say, for every single person on
- 17:29Speaker 1: the cruise, it's hardest on Tyler. People are excited to
- 17:33Speaker 1: see everyone there. They are rabid for Tyler. And that's
- 17:37Speaker 1: based on our own experience, based on our own experience. Yes,
- 17:40Speaker 1: and that's challenging. I think sure. I'm sure that takes
- 17:44Speaker 1: a real toll on him. There's still great names on
- 17:48Speaker 1: this cruise. You're still getting a fantastic lineup. Run through
- 17:54Speaker 1: the list, so co hosting we have Jonavan Bennett and
- 17:57Speaker 1: Nikki DeLoach fantastic. Andrew Walker Yes, Ashley Williams Yes, b
- 18:02Speaker 1: J Britt Yes, Benjamin Airs, Yes, Brandon Penny, Daniel listening. Hey, oh,
- 18:07Speaker 1: Daniel listening is a new addition to the lineup. Emily
- 18:09Speaker 1: Uller up another new addition to the lineup. Aaron Cahill,
- 18:13Speaker 1: Heather Hemmons, Kimberly Sustad, Paul Campbell, Rachel Boston, Sarah Drew Taylor,
- 18:20Speaker 1: cole Wes Brown, and Will Kemp. I think it's a
- 18:23Speaker 1: great lineup. I do too, and I think there's a
- 18:26Speaker 1: little bit of something for everybody there is, except I wonder.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I'm curious for those who are you know, big Tyler
- 18:35Speaker 1: fans who bought tickets a year ago assuming he would
- 18:39Speaker 1: be there, assuming he would be there. Are they disappointed? Well,
- 18:43Speaker 1: in our shop, our merch shop, we have a high
- 18:46Speaker 1: Knees at Sea shirt and we have sold some like
- 18:49Speaker 1: recently since the last cruise in twenty twenty six. Should
- 18:53Speaker 1: we make one that says like, where's Tyler? Oh my gosh,
- 18:58Speaker 1: where's Tyler? That's hilarious. Let's move on to holiday touchdown
- 19:03Speaker 1: A bear's love story. We talked a little bit about
- 19:07Speaker 1: this in our last episode. We did Hallmark enthusiasts on Instagram.
- 19:11Speaker 1: If you aren't following this account, I don't know how
- 19:15Speaker 1: this account gets the info. They do. I don't think
- 19:18Speaker 1: they have secret inside information. I just think they are
- 19:22Speaker 1: incredibly good at constantly looking for information, just on the
- 19:27Speaker 1: pulse always. I have communicated with them on Instagram and
- 19:30Speaker 1: I had even said, how do you get all of this?
- 19:33Speaker 1: And she was like, I'm just constantly looking, Like spend
- 19:36Speaker 1: some time every day checking all the places for all
- 19:38Speaker 1: of these new bits of information. Impressive, it is super impressive. Well,
- 19:43Speaker 1: Hallmark enthusiasts thinks this is not confirmed, correct, but thinks
- 19:48Speaker 1: the stars of the Bears Hallmark movie are Lindsay Fonseca
- 19:55Speaker 1: and Robert Buckley, not Junior. You know you put Junior
- 19:59Speaker 1: in here, right? I do, like I'm perfect. Yes, you know.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I saw that note because I had seen this announced
- 20:09Speaker 1: and then I was scrolling cruising for info about some
- 20:12Speaker 1: Hallmark news and I saw that note that they thought
- 20:15Speaker 1: these were the stars. And then I tried to find
- 20:17Speaker 1: somebody else saying that, and I couldn't find anybody else
- 20:19Speaker 1: saying that. Reading that Lindsay Conseca and Robert Buckley not Junior,
- 20:24Speaker 1: might be attached to this movie has just completely leveled
- 20:28Speaker 1: it up for me. I love the both of them,
- 20:31Speaker 1: me too. I'm will be so disappointed if they're not
- 20:36Speaker 1: in this movie, right, and there's I can't think of
- 20:38Speaker 1: another praying I'd be more excited for at this point.
- 20:41Speaker 1: That is the movie in my mind. And Robert Buckley
- 20:44Speaker 1: not Junior killed in Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper last year. Yeah,
- 20:50Speaker 1: please bring the funny. Both of them are so great, yes,
- 20:53Speaker 1: in terms of being funny. So I wonder if either
- 20:56Speaker 1: of them has a tie to the city of Chicago.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Probably not, that doesn't matter. We have some nice news,
- 21:02Speaker 1: and that is that it's Hallmark adjacent. Kimberly Williams Paisley
- 21:07Speaker 1: and Brad Paisley run an organization called The Store, which
- 21:11Speaker 1: is it's a food bank, but it also provides health
- 21:15Speaker 1: and legal aid and music therapy to the community community
- 21:18Speaker 1: it serves. And I my understanding is that it's more
- 21:22Speaker 1: like a free grocery store. So it's not like you
- 21:24Speaker 1: pull up and you get a box handed to you.
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's that you can come in and shop, which I
- 21:28Speaker 1: think is an important distinction and adds a lot of
- 21:31Speaker 1: dignity to a person, a person with food insecurities. There's
- 21:36Speaker 1: a choice for them, there's choice. Yes. They received a
- 21:39Speaker 1: portion of the twenty six million dollars in donations that
- 21:42Speaker 1: were made by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey prior to
- 21:45Speaker 1: their wedding this past week. The exact amount is undisclosed,
- 21:50Speaker 1: but there were twenty charities receiving parts of the twenty
- 21:54Speaker 1: six million, so I got to assume it was fairly
- 21:57Speaker 1: evenly distributed maybe, And they just described it as a
- 22:01Speaker 1: substantial amount of money that would allow them to do
- 22:03Speaker 1: quite a bit of work. I mean, can you imagine
- 22:05Speaker 1: getting a one million dollar donation? No, that's amazing. Yes,
- 22:09Speaker 1: So I love that. And of course we know that Nashville,
- 22:11Speaker 1: Taylor is known. When she was on tour, she donated
- 22:14Speaker 1: to the food banks of every city she toured in.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Nashville is a place that's important to her, so that
- 22:21Speaker 1: makes sense. Yeah, that's so cool, right, they're giving wedding
- 22:25Speaker 1: gifts ahead of their wedding. Really cool. When I saw
- 22:28Speaker 1: the list of recipients for this donation, I saw the
- 22:32Speaker 1: store and I knew immediately that was the Paisley Store.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I was like, that's so sweet. Yeah, I love it.
- 22:39Speaker 1: It's so cool. This fall, we're gonna see the return
- 22:50Speaker 1: of Nikki Delouche and Ashley Williams, partner for Dance to
- 22:55Speaker 1: end Alzheimer's twenty twenty six. This is their big dance
- 22:58Speaker 1: party that they didn't due last year. I'm very excited
- 23:02Speaker 1: it's returning this year. Yeah, I think that was smart.
- 23:05Speaker 1: It's a big undertaking. So basically you'd have to start
- 23:08Speaker 1: planning the next one as soon as one's over if
- 23:11Speaker 1: you were going to do it annually. And these are
- 23:13Speaker 1: busy women, busy women. Yeah. So this is the dance
- 23:17Speaker 1: party to end La alz Dance Party to end All's.
- 23:23Speaker 1: The Pajama Party edition, which I love as a person
- 23:26Speaker 1: who wants to go there because I don't want to
- 23:28Speaker 1: go to an event or I have to be in
- 23:29Speaker 1: a gown, but dressing rock some cute pajama totally. It
- 23:33Speaker 1: is going to be held September thirteenth, twenty twenty six,
- 23:36Speaker 1: seven pm Pacific time at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Now this isn't this like invite only right, Like no,
- 23:47Speaker 1: anybody can purchase a ticket. It's so fun. The individual
- 23:51Speaker 1: tickets are three hundred and fifty dollars. It's worth noting
- 23:53Speaker 1: that those are balcony tickets, and then once the dance
- 23:56Speaker 1: floor opens, you have access to the dance floor, but
- 23:58Speaker 1: there are also sponsorship at multiple levels. If you want
- 24:01Speaker 1: to purchase tables. Oh cool, I mean this is a fundraiser. Yes,
- 24:06Speaker 1: So if you have a business, especially one that's in
- 24:08Speaker 1: the southern California area, that's interested in partnering with them,
- 24:11Speaker 1: or if you yourself are interested in partnering, there's a
- 24:14Speaker 1: lot of different partnership levels. Of course, that link is
- 24:17Speaker 1: in our show notes. They of course both have personal
- 24:20Speaker 1: tized Alzheimer's, and so this has a project that is
- 24:23Speaker 1: near and dear to both of them. I want to go.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I wish we made enough money to be like a partner. Yes,
- 24:30Speaker 1: I know would not be amazing. Even if you're a
- 24:33Speaker 1: Hallmark fan, I'm sure you're gonna see a lot of
- 24:35Speaker 1: familiar Hallmark faces beyond Nikki and Ashley there as well. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 24:41Speaker 1: they'll come out and support their girls. Yeah, that's exciting, fun,
- 24:45Speaker 1: fun fun. Do you know if tickets are on sale? Yeah, yes,
- 24:49Speaker 1: they are all exciting. Sarah Drew posted that there's one
- 24:54Speaker 1: week left filming Mistletoe Murders season three. Related to this,
- 25:01Speaker 1: Sleepy Giddy Pot speculates based on some information that they
- 25:06Speaker 1: have based on timelines, digging deep. They think there's eight
- 25:12Speaker 1: episodes this year instead of six, well good, which is
- 25:15Speaker 1: what we've been asking for. It's basically, if you look
- 25:18Speaker 1: at it, it's basically four movies, right, because they air
- 25:21Speaker 1: two movies every weekend, two episodes every weekend typically, I imagine
- 25:26Speaker 1: they'll follow that same formula. I would be thrilled to
- 25:30Speaker 1: get another week of Mistletale Murders. Give me ten baby,
- 25:35Speaker 1: They're so good. The whole team is so good. I
- 25:38Speaker 1: love this series so much. If you guys aren't watching it, like,
- 25:42Speaker 1: watch it now, get caught up. Yeah. The romance, the
- 25:46Speaker 1: heat between Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney is incredible, and
- 25:50Speaker 1: it's very interesting storytelling. Yes, it's basically like a mystery
- 25:54Speaker 1: every week spread out over two episodes the length of
- 25:57Speaker 1: what would be a movie length episode. But there's also
- 26:03Speaker 1: the broader story they're telling over the course of the season.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Emily's backstory is super interesting, and there's a lot of
- 26:09Speaker 1: information that we're still waiting for there. Big fan, Big Fan,
- 26:13Speaker 1: Big fan. Hey. Hallmark launched a nationwide search for America's
- 26:19Speaker 1: marrius Christmas towns. Do you think you live in America's
- 26:24Speaker 1: merriest Christmas town. No, what does that look like to you? Well,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I think it's got to be a small town. It's
- 26:31Speaker 1: got to be the kind of town that has a
- 26:33Speaker 1: big Christmas. It's got to be a Hallmark like town.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I would love to see that. Yes, entries are open
- 26:42Speaker 1: now if you think you live in one, yeah, July
- 26:44Speaker 1: one through August tenth. It's kind of a short window.
- 26:46Speaker 1: But there is a prize. Twenty five towns will be
- 26:49Speaker 1: named Official Hallmark Christmas Towns, each getting an official seal
- 26:55Speaker 1: and promotion. I mean, think about the tourism here. I
- 27:00Speaker 1: know we're one of the official Hallmark Christmas towns. You know,
- 27:04Speaker 1: I know somebody in this house right now who would
- 27:07Speaker 1: be down for scenes that one hundred percent right, one
- 27:11Speaker 1: grand prize town will be featured in an actual Hallmark
- 27:16Speaker 1: movie like this year. You think, well, maybe that's why
- 27:20Speaker 1: they need to get it done by August. Reading that
- 27:22Speaker 1: makes me kind of sad. We don't have one actor
- 27:26Speaker 1: when Finding Mister Christmas, who gets to appear in a
- 27:29Speaker 1: Hallmark movie. Now we have a town. I know. A
- 27:32Speaker 1: friend of mine said, oh, Finding Mister Christmas must be filming,
- 27:35Speaker 1: and I said, it's not coming back. I'm still heartbroken
- 27:39Speaker 1: about it. Me too. But back to America's Merriest Town.
- 27:43Speaker 1: This is not a reality show. This is just a
- 27:48Speaker 1: sweepstakes happening fan activation if you will, yes Hallmark Channel
- 27:52Speaker 1: dot com slash Merriest. Now. I know some of y'all
- 27:56Speaker 1: are very excited because the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament premiere. Is
- 28:00Speaker 1: this happening July eleventh or eighteenth. It's the first wave
- 28:03Speaker 1: of ornaments. The second wave will drop in October, So
- 28:05Speaker 1: if you're waiting for that Tyler Hynes ornament, you are
- 28:07Speaker 1: gonna have to wait until October. But I did scroll
- 28:11Speaker 1: through some of these Keepsake ornaments and can I tell
- 28:13Speaker 1: you of you that just caught my eye now, not
- 28:17Speaker 1: because I think they're the cutest, not because they just
- 28:22Speaker 1: made me giggle. And the first is the new Driver
- 28:26Speaker 1: twenty twenty six ornament, and it's funny to me because
- 28:29Speaker 1: it shaped like those Christmas tree air fresheners and the
- 28:33Speaker 1: staging of the photo shows it hanging from a rear
- 28:36Speaker 1: view mirror. Now, as someone who has a new Driver
- 28:38Speaker 1: this year soon, it just it tickled me. I found
- 28:42Speaker 1: it amusing, hilarious. Next up, if my children were younger,
- 28:48Speaker 1: the Fisher Price Activity Walker ornament. If you have children,
- 28:52Speaker 1: you will recognize this item. It's super tacky. It's not
- 28:57Speaker 1: the kind of thing I'm actually excited to have on
- 28:58Speaker 1: my tree. It really did scratch that nostalgia itch of
- 29:03Speaker 1: children's toys. For mem we have the Merry Majong ornament,
- 29:11Speaker 1: which features six Majong tiles arranged in a Christmas tree
- 29:15Speaker 1: esque shape. I'm trying to make like the bams, the
- 29:17Speaker 1: dots and the cracks, but can't make it make sense
- 29:20Speaker 1: because I can't figure out which ones the cracks the
- 29:22Speaker 1: tree makes sense as the bam. Anyway, she's talking her
- 29:25Speaker 1: Majong language here. Anyway, It's kind of cute. People are
- 29:29Speaker 1: going to get into it. I think it's it's it's
- 29:31Speaker 1: a nice collaboration, you know, tread lightly after the Al's
- 29:36Speaker 1: fair and Love and Majong backlash. I laughed out loud
- 29:39Speaker 1: because there is a relaxing at the Beach ornament, which
- 29:42Speaker 1: features a replica of the incredibly popular bog bags. Have
- 29:49Speaker 1: you ever owned a bog bag? No? I haven't either.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I just think you're past that prime. Yes, if I
- 29:55Speaker 1: was like in the sports mom era, I think it's
- 29:57Speaker 1: perfect for that. People use them for that. But I'm
- 29:59Speaker 1: a not in like the hauling a bunch of stuff
- 30:01Speaker 1: to the beach mom era either. But I do find
- 30:03Speaker 1: that ornament adorable and on trend. And then finally there's
- 30:08Speaker 1: a record player with a heart shaped record that says
- 30:11Speaker 1: they're playing our song on it. It's giving Taylor Swift
- 30:13Speaker 1: vibes to me. Oh with the color of the record player,
- 30:18Speaker 1: but I just think it's a cute one, that's all.
- 30:20Speaker 1: None of these are holiday themed, by the way. You
- 30:22Speaker 1: know what makes me laugh is I just pulled up
- 30:24Speaker 1: their website right now. You didn't even mention the like
- 30:28Speaker 1: Disney collaboration. There's so many Disney ones. Yeah, there always are.
- 30:33Speaker 1: There's a really cute Dumbo the Ride ornament that that's
- 30:37Speaker 1: seventy dollars I know for an ornament is in this
- 30:44Speaker 1: economy carez and they will sell out. Yeah, Ronzo insane
- 30:51Speaker 1: to me. But there are some really cute ones, for sure.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I have you gotten eyes on the Tyler one by chance? Yeah?
- 31:01Speaker 1: Is it is there? Like a I need to I
- 31:04Speaker 1: want to see it. I want to see it. We've
- 31:06Speaker 1: seen it, but you can you can just google on
- 31:07Speaker 1: the website. There's also a jingle cruise ornament, which is
- 31:12Speaker 1: Mickey driving a jungle cruise boat that has a red
- 31:15Speaker 1: and white striped awning. I gotta admit there's a Pixar
- 31:20Speaker 1: pal around which is the swinging Ferris wheel. Have I
- 31:25Speaker 1: seen this, Tyler? Yeah, we talked about it in another
- 31:29Speaker 1: a bust of him. Yes, what did you expect? The
- 31:33Speaker 1: candy camp behind the Ears diabroical. Yes, this was another
- 31:40Speaker 1: homemark headline episode. I'm buying it. I'm definitely buying it. Well,
- 31:45Speaker 1: you have the Lazy Shubert one you need to complete
- 31:47Speaker 1: the collection. No, we bought the Lazy Shabert one for
- 31:50Speaker 1: my brother in law, last Lazy Shubert fan for five days,
- 31:55Speaker 1: so we thought that was funny. Look, I recommend you
- 31:58Speaker 1: scroll through these because I find them adorable. A lot
- 32:02Speaker 1: of them are not the vibe of my Christmas tree,
- 32:05Speaker 1: which is like a little more classic Christmas, but they
- 32:08Speaker 1: do bring me a lot of joy to look at them.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Some of them are very nostalgic, or they have a
- 32:12Speaker 1: lot of tie ins with some of your favorite characters.
- 32:16Speaker 1: It's so funny. We talked about finding Mister Christmas a
- 32:20Speaker 1: little bit earlier. Yes, two of our finding Mister Christmases
- 32:26Speaker 1: have just had babies and they share a birthday. Angel
- 32:28Speaker 1: Garrett and his wife Mary Cameron Rogers revealed their first
- 32:32Speaker 1: time parents two daughter River Lynne, born on May twenty first,
- 32:38Speaker 1: as well as Gabriel Thaxon and his wife Andrea announced
- 32:42Speaker 1: the May twenty first arrival of their second baby, son Joa.
- 32:46Speaker 1: First of all, I need you to go look at
- 32:51Speaker 1: Angel and Gabriel's instagrams because these two men are married
- 32:55Speaker 1: to the most beautiful women you've ever seen. Didn't win fighting,
- 33:01Speaker 1: mister Christmas, but they are winning at life. These women
- 33:05Speaker 1: are so stunning. I can't get over it. Durable, absorable,
- 33:09Speaker 1: Oh gosh, I can't. Those bibis are so cute, Oh gosh. Okay, well,
- 33:15Speaker 1: I'm so excited for them. In news that may be
- 33:19Speaker 1: received with some side eye, I'm curious to see how
- 33:22Speaker 1: the Hallmark audience sideye from who, Well, I don't know.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I don't know. Laura Laughlin is returning to Hallmark's Garage
- 33:29Speaker 1: Sale Mysteries. So Laura Laughlin was at the Hallmark Christmas
- 33:34Speaker 1: Experience last year on the When Calls the Heart panel.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Laura Laughlin was in the finale episode of the most
- 33:41Speaker 1: recent season of When Calls the Heart because her character
- 33:44Speaker 1: is returning for this next season. And Laura Laughlin's Garage
- 33:50Speaker 1: Sale mystery series, which was shuddered in twenty nineteen because
- 33:55Speaker 1: of her college admissions situation, is returning with a new
- 34:01Speaker 1: movie this fall. She's back. We're going to cover it.
- 34:05Speaker 1: I guess right, Well, I can't imagine why we wouldn't.
- 34:07Speaker 1: We might need to watch some others, but it's been
- 34:10Speaker 1: seven years since they've had a new movie. We will
- 34:12Speaker 1: be getting three mystery movies this fall that we know of.
- 34:16Speaker 1: We have another Haunted Harmony mysteries that has already been filmed,
- 34:19Speaker 1: as well as another True Justice mystery. So those are
- 34:23Speaker 1: going to probably drop in the fall prior to countdown
- 34:27Speaker 1: to Christmas. I'm hoping that. I'm just I'm hoping it's
- 34:32Speaker 1: not just mysteries in the fall. Hm. I need some fall.
- 34:38Speaker 1: I need some fall vibes. Here's my hot take, and
- 34:41Speaker 1: maybe it's not that hot college admission scandal. Laurie Laughlin
- 34:46Speaker 1: did her serve time for it. Yeah, she did her time.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Let her live. It's fine. I think so too. Have
- 34:53Speaker 1: we not all embraced Martha Stewart again after she served
- 34:57Speaker 1: her time she served her time. We're atrocities in happening
- 35:03Speaker 1: in our world right now. Yes, I'm not bothered by this.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Welcome back Lori Laughlin. Yeah, I like to see it. Look,
- 35:10Speaker 1: we have watched exactly one episode of When Cause the Heart,
- 35:12Speaker 1: and I thought Laura Laughlin was quite good in it,
- 35:14Speaker 1: so big fans of I did want the original Full
- 35:19Speaker 1: House to her. I saw her and her family in
- 35:22Speaker 1: Aspen once back when she was still married to Masimo.
- 35:25Speaker 1: But they're not together anymore. I don't think so. Did
- 35:27Speaker 1: the college scandal break them up? I mean, you know,
- 35:30Speaker 1: probably not great for the marriage. I could be wrong.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Maybe they're I'm living happily. They are separated and moving
- 35:36Speaker 1: toward a divorce after twenty eight years of marriage. Got it, Well,
- 35:41Speaker 1: it's real the year of Daniel Lissing. I think we
- 35:44Speaker 1: can safely declare Daniel Lissing is back on Hallmark. He
- 35:48Speaker 1: was away for a while, but the dude revealed that
- 35:52Speaker 1: he is in Vancouver to film a Hallmark movie. People
- 35:55Speaker 1: are speculating, and by people, I mean Sleepy Kitty Paw,
- 35:58Speaker 1: that that movie is for Getting Christmas. Here's what we
- 36:01Speaker 1: know about Forgetting Christmas. It is directed by Oh Wait
- 36:08Speaker 1: where did it go? Oh? It's directed by Jessica Harmon.
- 36:12Speaker 1: The premise of the movie is that a woman is
- 36:17Speaker 1: underwhelmed by her boyfriend's proposal. The boyfriend gets in an accident,
- 36:21Speaker 1: leaves them with amnesia, and of course that brings them
- 36:23Speaker 1: back to rediscovering their love for each other. This will
- 36:27Speaker 1: be his third movie of the year on Hallmark. The
- 36:30Speaker 1: first was This Past Weekends Christmas Under Construction, although of
- 36:34Speaker 1: course that was a free release of a Hulu movie.
- 36:39Speaker 1: He's also in August Assie at Heart, where he co
- 36:43Speaker 1: stars with rhiannon Fish. I like Daniel listening quite a bit,
- 36:49Speaker 1: so do I. This could be very I'm excited for
- 36:52Speaker 1: a Christmas Toby with it. Yeah, Mitya met too. I
- 36:54Speaker 1: did want to share one little additional bit of Christmas
- 36:57Speaker 1: movie filming in side by side Instagram images not side
- 37:01Speaker 1: by side, but released on the same day Instagram images.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Italia Ricci and Jonathan Bennett shared their first day on
- 37:07Speaker 1: set of the movie Single at the Wedding, where they
- 37:10Speaker 1: will star as siblings. I love this, me too. I
- 37:14Speaker 1: love this me too? When is this going? When is
- 37:18Speaker 1: this movie going to come out? This is the twenty
- 37:21Speaker 1: twenty six count Down a Christmas movie single at the wedding. Yeah,
- 37:26Speaker 1: I funk. Are they going to rename it single out
- 37:28Speaker 1: the Christmas wedding? Actually, you know what, I have no idea.
- 37:31Speaker 1: I have no idea what it's for. I lied. I
- 37:33Speaker 1: don't know why I said that, making up stuff. Huh.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Finally a few little tidbits of speculation from Sleepy Kitty Pot,
- 37:41Speaker 1: who suggests there will be twenty four to thirty new
- 37:44Speaker 1: Christmas movies this year on Hallmark. Do you like that number? Sure?
- 37:49Speaker 1: What was last year? Twenty four twenty one? It was
- 37:52Speaker 1: pared down last year because of all the series. Yeah,
- 37:56Speaker 1: what was it at its pea forty one too many?
- 37:58Speaker 1: So twenty four thirty six number includes these four Christmas
- 38:02Speaker 1: in July number movies. By the way, Oh interesting, look,
- 38:07Speaker 1: I ten toes down quality over quantity. Yeah, absolutely, Countdown
- 38:13Speaker 1: to Christmas will premiere on October twenty fourth, less likely
- 38:18Speaker 1: October seventeenth. Again, this is speculation. They were basing this
- 38:23Speaker 1: on the movies that they assume are coming out, including
- 38:27Speaker 1: those three mysteries that we discussed, as well as an
- 38:31Speaker 1: eight episode run of Mistletoe Murders. Again, this is all speculation,
- 38:35Speaker 1: but they do seem to know what they're talking about
- 38:38Speaker 1: quite a bit. Yees, Slippy Kitty Pot is one of
- 38:41Speaker 1: those other ones that, yeah, like always Ark enthusiasts, always
- 38:45Speaker 1: has the info we shall see. October seventeenth would be
- 38:48Speaker 1: incredibly early. It's the same weekend it has started the
- 38:52Speaker 1: past couple of years, but it is because of the
- 38:55Speaker 1: way dates work, it keeps creeping up earlier and earlier
