- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to We Talk Back Podcast, a production of iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and the Black Effect Network. Talk, talk, talk to them.
- 0:08Speaker 2: We're just two unapologetically Black women with an opinion who
- 0:13Speaker 2: talk back.
- 0:16Speaker 1: What's up, y'all? It's your girl AJ Holiday. What's up, Tandem?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Y'all, it's Tandem. I love y'all so much. Thank y'all
- 0:23Speaker 2: for coming back again. Another week. For six fucking years
- 0:26Speaker 2: we've been doing this shit.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We're here to work.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I'm ready. No, I'm ready to blow.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah, that's nice. God, wait your turn.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You know, I ain't never impatient. I always get what
- 0:38Speaker 1: I want. Always. I just be having to work harder. Yeah.
- 0:44Speaker 3: I'm ready to blow.
- 0:48Speaker 2: How was your weekend?
- 0:50Speaker 1: I saw you this weekend. I was thinking, like, what
- 0:53Speaker 1: did I do this weekend? That's all I did this
- 0:55Speaker 1: weekend is think about what I got to do on Sunday.
- 0:57Speaker 1: That's it. So I prepared to come to Charlotte so
- 1:00Speaker 1: we can knock these videos out, these visuals for you guys.
- 1:05Speaker 1: So that's about it. I didn't do much of nothing, child.
- 1:07Speaker 1: I had all of you that I'm invited to. Oh, yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That food was so good. But what I wanted to
- 1:13Speaker 1: text your ass, because, y'all, I'm a fat ass, but
- 1:15Speaker 1: I also be calling Tammy fat ass, bitch, because why
- 1:18Speaker 1: the fuck you had all the lobster? Because I have
- 1:20Speaker 1: no lobster in my macaroni. So why did a waitress
- 1:23Speaker 1: do that? I don't know, because I had lots of
- 1:26Speaker 1: lobster in mine.
- 1:27Speaker 3: She did dirty.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I'm trying to compensate you for that lobster bisque that
- 1:31Speaker 1: only had that little claw in there. I was so mad.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I mean, I had my whole piece of fish, but
- 1:38Speaker 1: where is... I barely got any lobster while I was
- 1:41Speaker 1: in there. I know. I never ate there before. How
- 1:43Speaker 1: long has that place been open?
- 1:45Speaker 2: It's been open like maybe two years now.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Well, it's new. Yeah, that food, that's a new spot.
- 1:51Speaker 1: That's good. Morton's out there.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah. We went to Dean's Steakhouse. Shout out to Dean's
- 1:58Speaker 2: Steakhouse in Charlotte after we finished recording. It ate like
- 2:01Speaker 2: two fat drug dealers.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That's getting.
- 2:07Speaker 3: The fans crazy.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Okay, so this isn't, this is like bad, bad, bad, bad.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You know, there's only been a few viral little things
- 2:22Speaker 1: I've been like challenges I've been wanting to do. And
- 2:24Speaker 1: the Netflix one is it might be one of them.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'll probably never actually do it. But I like it.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I don't like when it
- 2:30Speaker 1: gets messy now. Like when we seen recently.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Right. Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 1: When our label meets. But I like the fun ones.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But this one is very messy and is very sad.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So a TikTok influencer. Sarah Duffy fatally shot after allegedly
- 2:47Speaker 1: calling her husband a PDF file in viral Netflix trend
- 2:51Speaker 1: before authorities say he took his own life. It says
- 2:57Speaker 1: hairstylist and TikTok influencer Sarah Duffy, also known as Sarah Gilson,
- 3:03Speaker 1: was fatally shot Thursday night in what police describe as
- 3:06Speaker 1: a murder-suicide involving her estranged husband, Jeremy Sean Duffy... in Oklahoma.
- 3:13Speaker 1: According to police, Sarah had been granted a protective order
- 3:17Speaker 1: against her husband just last month after alleging disturbing behavior.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Court records also indicate she had previously sought a protective
- 3:27Speaker 1: order against him in 2021. Authorities say the protective order
- 3:31Speaker 1: was violated the night of the shooting. Police say one
- 3:34Speaker 1: of the couple's children witnessed the shooting and ran to
- 3:36Speaker 1: a neighbor's home for help, prompting a 911 call. Investigators
- 3:40Speaker 1: say the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Y'all,
- 3:45Speaker 1: this shit hit like home for me. Let me tell
- 3:48Speaker 1: y'all about something. The school resource officer who worked at
- 3:53Speaker 1: my high school, I graduated in 2002. In 2004, he
- 3:59Speaker 1: was supposed to turn himself in for some sexual assault
- 4:04Speaker 1: charges against a minor under the age of 16. Instead
- 4:08Speaker 1: of turning himself in, he murdered his wife, shot her
- 4:12Speaker 1: in the head, a Hispanic woman, and then he fled
- 4:14Speaker 1: the country. He has been on the run and FBI
- 4:18Speaker 1: most wanted since 2024. I mean, sorry, since 2004. They
- 4:25Speaker 1: finally got that motherfucker right now. As of like Thursday
- 4:28Speaker 1: last week. But here's the thing. In 2019... I would periodically,
- 4:34Speaker 1: because he was fine as fuck. I couldn't believe that
- 4:37Speaker 1: he was a white man. Blonde hair, blue eye, gorgeous.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I couldn't believe that that man that, you know, had
- 4:43Speaker 1: been a school resource officer all this time while I
- 4:45Speaker 1: was in school had actually done this thing. So I
- 4:49Speaker 1: would periodically check to see if they found him and
- 4:51Speaker 1: he's been on the most wanted all this time, right? Girl,
- 4:54Speaker 1: I sent the state newspaper an email back in 2019
- 4:57Speaker 1: because when I was Googling him, a black man's image
- 5:00Speaker 1: from the 40s popped up. as a thumbnail when you're
- 5:05Speaker 1: Googling this blonde-haired, blue-eyed man. So I sent they ass
- 5:08Speaker 1: a long-ass email, like, this is strategically done. This is
- 5:12Speaker 1: not a mistake. This man has been, they not even
- 5:16Speaker 1: looking for this person anymore. He was the longest-running escapee,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and he was arrested on, like, entering somebody's home after dark.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Some little weird, you know, old-ass charge, right? Already y'all
- 5:27Speaker 1: have his image along with America's Most Wanted. Right. The
- 5:32Speaker 1: man who raped the child and killed himself.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Fled the country.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Right. Yeah. But they finally, he got arrested. And I
- 5:40Speaker 1: told them then, I told them then that he was
- 5:42Speaker 1: arrested in China. How does it take, like, what was that,
- 5:46Speaker 1: like seven years to extradite somebody back to the country?
- 5:51Speaker 1: And I understand some states doesn't allow, you know, they
- 5:55Speaker 1: don't extradite. And I would think maybe that's why he
- 5:56Speaker 1: ended up in China. He was in Shanghai. Right. But
- 5:59Speaker 1: why the fuck did it take y'all from 2019 to
- 6:01Speaker 1: 2026 to get this man back to the States? So
- 6:06Speaker 1: when I saw this, yeah, so when I saw this story,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm like, that is, that's wild, man. Same situation, but
- 6:13Speaker 1: this was a police officer, this guy.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I feel like something like that happened with a guy
- 6:17Speaker 2: that went to Benedict.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He killed himself?
- 6:21Speaker 2: Uh-huh, and that he might have been accused of child pornography.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And he just recently killed himself.
- 6:31Speaker 1: If this is a person I'm thinking about, I remember
- 6:33Speaker 1: he fucking karate kicked a nigga in his neck because
- 6:35Speaker 1: he was a black belt. But I could see that.
- 6:40Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying?
- 6:41Speaker 1: But I hope it's not that person. But... Yeah, we
- 6:45Speaker 1: was at a homecoming game one night in high school.
- 6:48Speaker 1: He fucking... He kicked a real nigga in his neck
- 6:52Speaker 1: and then was like, what? Like, what are you going
- 6:54Speaker 1: to do? Because nobody's expecting to get kicked. Right. In
- 6:57Speaker 1: the neck. Kicking somebody in uppercutting them? That is like
- 7:02Speaker 1: off-guard fighting.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Well, that's that. You just never know who you're married to, man.
- 7:09Speaker 2: You never know who you're with. That's scary. Like, you
- 7:12Speaker 2: go through a nigga phone and you find that he's
- 7:15Speaker 2: been harming children and this is your person?
- 7:18Speaker 3: Like, what?
- 7:21Speaker 2: I don't know. I'd probably end up in jail for
- 7:24Speaker 2: shooting them right there.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yes, right then and there, for sure.
- 7:30Speaker 2: It wouldn't have been no TikTok documentary. It might have
- 7:32Speaker 2: been one, but it would have been a real one.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Why are you sitting in jail?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah, if I have an inkling that I need to
- 7:39Speaker 1: go through your phone, I'm probably going to leave you.
- 7:42Speaker 1: That's where I'm at nowadays. Because obviously you're looking for
- 7:45Speaker 1: something because your intuition is telling you to go through
- 7:48Speaker 1: that motherfucking phone. And the worst shit, I don't want
- 7:51Speaker 1: to see no kids and I don't want to see
- 7:53Speaker 1: no fucking booty holes.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I don't like going through phones.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I don't like going through phones. I don't like people
- 7:58Speaker 2: going through my phone. I just always have been saying
- 8:02Speaker 2: I have no desire to ruin my own day.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That's it. I'm choosing to be happy. You will fuck
- 8:08Speaker 1: your day up.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And a nigga will fuck their day up going through
- 8:12Speaker 1: mine because obviously there's some shit in there that might
- 8:14Speaker 1: not be for your eyes. And you can create a
- 8:17Speaker 1: narrative around it based on what your thoughts are, and
- 8:20Speaker 1: it's not even what it is, right?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Let me ask you this.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Do you delete dick pics from, like, past dicks? I
- 8:27Speaker 1: don't save dick pics. They could be in a messaging,
- 8:31Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? I don't delete them out
- 8:32Speaker 1: the messages, but I'm, like, not saving them to my...
- 8:34Speaker 1: You could be saving cock shots to your, like, gallery?
- 8:38Speaker 2: I got a cockapedia on this one.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Whose dick is this? I'm just, all right. So I
- 8:50Speaker 1: just don't delete nothing, you know, so. I learned my
- 8:53Speaker 1: lesson with that shit when I had told my ex-boyfriend
- 8:56Speaker 1: one time that I had a video of another nigga
- 8:59Speaker 1: eating my pussy. He did not think that was funny.
- 9:01Speaker 1: And I'm like, I mean, I know it's in there
- 9:03Speaker 1: because I never deleted it, but it's not like I'm
- 9:05Speaker 1: revisiting it to go look at it. I'm just saying,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I got some videos.
- 9:09Speaker 2: This is just my, you know, everything that happened in
- 9:12Speaker 2: life is still in my phone.
- 9:13Speaker 1: You can't be honest with niggas. And you can't have
- 9:16Speaker 1: videos of nothing.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I'm like, when I get in a relationship, so does
- 9:19Speaker 2: that mean when I get in a relationship, I got
- 9:22Speaker 2: to delete everything?
- 9:23Speaker 1: Burn.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Burn.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You got to get the new number, burn the fucking phone.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Man, I'm going to get one of them calculator apps.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I'm kind of like a serial killer. Like, these are
- 9:34Speaker 2: my trophies, bitch. The fuck you talking about?
- 9:40Speaker 1: No, for me, like, cock shots have always, like, saved
- 9:42Speaker 1: the body, right? Like, nigga can send his dick and you,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I ain't fucking that. Like, that shit don't save your body. Like,
- 9:49Speaker 1: nobody likes surprises. Cock shots save lives.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I feel like me being so honest on the show.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Is going to keep me from ever having a man.
- 10:02Speaker 1: And that's the problem. You know what I'm saying? That's
- 10:04Speaker 1: why I appreciate that my nigga been listening to the
- 10:07Speaker 1: show so he know exactly who the fuck I am.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And I don't mean no harm, ever. And if we
- 10:14Speaker 1: discuss anything and it's a problem, I don't have a
- 10:16Speaker 1: problem adjusting.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 10:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I ain't trying to fight
- 10:19Speaker 1: for independence that fucking bad, like to keep dicks that
- 10:23Speaker 1: I probably never even had sex with. You know what
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm saying? like some now some head videos getting.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Put it in the calculator.
- 10:32Speaker 1: I like to see that shit i don't have any
- 10:35Speaker 1: right now but i have like went through an old
- 10:39Speaker 1: phone looking like i know i got that nigga give
- 10:45Speaker 1: me head somewhere like whatever all right so i don't
- 10:51Speaker 1: know if y'all saw this y'all probably saw this um.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It says, Usher seemingly kicks fan offstage after awkward moment. So,
- 11:01Speaker 2: Usher is officially putting future concertgoers on notice while co-headlining
- 11:05Speaker 2: the R & B tour with Chris Brown. He made
- 11:10Speaker 2: a pit stop in Birmingham, Alabama. While there, Usher made
- 11:14Speaker 2: sure to address his latest viral moment with a hilarious
- 11:17Speaker 2: unfiltered warning. Pausing mid-show to lay down the ground rules
- 11:21Speaker 2: before serenading another lucky lady. Usher cracked a smile and
- 11:25Speaker 2: told the crowd, before you get started, don't bring your
- 11:27Speaker 2: ass up here if you don't want to be here.
- 11:30Speaker 2: He added with a little chuckle, God don't like ugly,
- 11:33Speaker 2: but he most certainly don't feel too good about pretty
- 11:36Speaker 2: privilege either. So I don't know if y'all saw this.
- 11:38Speaker 2: It was a young lady that was brought up on
- 11:40Speaker 2: stage and Usher was like all sweaty with his top
- 11:43Speaker 2: off and he was like laying her down and she
- 11:46Speaker 2: looked like no means no. That's how she laid back.
- 11:50Speaker 2: She was not with it at all. And I guess
- 11:53Speaker 2: he read the body language. She was on the jumbotron,
- 11:56Speaker 2: like pretty much dissing Usher on his tour and like
- 12:00Speaker 2: sent her back to her seat, essentially. What'd you think
- 12:05Speaker 2: of that?
- 12:06Speaker 1: So I watched a video of her on TMZ and
- 12:08Speaker 1: she was saying how, you know, she was picked randomly.
- 12:11Speaker 1: to come backstage and have this experience, right? So somebody
- 12:14Speaker 1: pulled her out of a line somewhere or pulled her,
- 12:16Speaker 1: you know, in the stadium somewhere, right?
- 12:18Speaker 2: Well, no, first she said, so, you know, y'all would
- 12:21Speaker 2: never understand this pretty privilege. I was, my seats were
- 12:24Speaker 2: first upgraded to VIP seats and they told me I
- 12:27Speaker 2: might get pulled on stage.
- 12:28Speaker 1: She said that's for her city, for the people who've
- 12:30Speaker 1: been talking shit about her in the city. So she
- 12:33Speaker 1: talking directly, yeah, like, listen, she was popping her shit.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I'm mad at her.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And if she don't want, she didn't know who she
- 12:39Speaker 1: was going on stage She didn't know who they would
- 12:43Speaker 1: align her with. She said she's not an Usher fan.
- 12:46Speaker 1: She looks like a young girl, too. She said she's
- 12:48Speaker 1: more of a Chris Brown fan. She went to the
- 12:50Speaker 1: concert for Chris Brown. So she would have probably had
- 12:53Speaker 1: a different reaction had it been Chris Brown. She was
- 12:55Speaker 1: up on stage with. She probably was ready to sit
- 12:57Speaker 1: on a nigga face. You know what I'm saying? Because
- 12:59Speaker 1: we seen him licking legs and all type of shit
- 13:01Speaker 1: he got going on now. But Usher, you know, she
- 13:04Speaker 1: looked a little stiff. And we know Usher got that
- 13:06Speaker 1: shit going on. You know what I'm saying? What?
- 13:11Speaker 4: Because a lot of humans got that shit going on.
- 13:19Speaker 4: But maybe she don't got that shit going on and
- 13:20Speaker 4: she ain't want that shit going on.
- 13:22Speaker 2: First of all, if you not ready to put on
- 13:25Speaker 2: a show, don't go on stage.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Period.
- 13:29Speaker 2: You are part of a performance at this point. And
- 13:32Speaker 2: that's what you're signing up for by going on stage.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You have seen, you're not oblivious to what happens on
- 13:40Speaker 2: a tour with Usher and Chris Brown. You see how
- 13:44Speaker 2: the ladies behave. If you're not willing to behave and
- 13:46Speaker 2: be a part of this production, then keep your ass
- 13:49Speaker 2: in your seat.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Was Usher always doing this, though? I know he would do, like,
- 13:54Speaker 1: bitches with cherries and climbing on top of each other. Yeah, that, but, like,
- 13:59Speaker 1: him climbing on women like Chris Brown does? I never
- 14:01Speaker 1: seen that until now.
- 14:02Speaker 2: No, he's doing more now.
- 14:04Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I'm saying it's been viral. It's not like you didn't know.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Yeah, like him feeding bitches or like dancing bitches.
- 14:10Speaker 2: And all them hoes that was ready to put their
- 14:11Speaker 2: legs up for Usher and here you come being a robot.
- 14:13Speaker 2: That pissed me off.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Get out the way. You would do it? Girl. You'd
- 14:18Speaker 1: act out. Ankles in the sky.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Seven o'clock on the shot.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yes.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Working my hips for Usher.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Okay, please stop playing.
- 14:27Speaker 2: So I was very upset with her. It was a
- 14:31Speaker 2: wasted opportunity. Yeah, because she probably.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Ain't going to never get Chris Brown now. No. No,
- 14:38Speaker 1: Chris Brown probably in her DM right now. Because he
- 14:41Speaker 1: be all gone.
- 14:41Speaker 2: That ain't even his type. He like Asian looking bitches.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You ain't Asian looking. He got a baby mama that
- 14:45Speaker 1: look like her kind of.
- 14:47Speaker 2: She look a little Asian.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I mean, this girl just look biracial to me or
- 14:51Speaker 1: maybe Hispanic.
- 14:53Speaker 2: She look like she had her nose done a little bit.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Anyway, I was mad at sis.
- 15:02Speaker 1: But I get it.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I'm going to pop your shit. I was upset because
- 15:06Speaker 2: it was so many people who wanted that.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We were all rooting for you, baby. Hey, y'all. This
- 15:15Speaker 1: is a very unfortunate and sad, sickening situation. So there
- 15:20Speaker 1: is a content creator. His name is ATL Tay. who
- 15:24Speaker 1: is facing a jail sentence after allegedly violating his probation
- 15:29Speaker 1: by street racing while driving intoxicated. Now, behind bars, he's
- 15:33Speaker 1: been posting emotional updates from prison, claiming he's being forced
- 15:37Speaker 1: to have oral sex with every man in the dorm room.
- 15:43Speaker 1: This is fucking disgusting. Like, people was laughing in the
- 15:46Speaker 1: comments and stuff like that. I mean, a lot of
- 15:48Speaker 1: people also had the same sentiments. this is fucking horrible. Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: that's deplorable.
- 15:54Speaker 2: But I needed to know what his crime was before
- 15:58Speaker 2: I felt bad for him. Is that wrong?
- 16:03Speaker 1: No.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I needed to know. After knowing that his crime
- 16:07Speaker 2: was nonviolent, I mean, he could have hurt people with
- 16:11Speaker 2: his crime, but he did not hurt anyone. Now I
- 16:14Speaker 2: do feel bad for him because he's a young man.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yes, he's a young man.
- 16:19Speaker 2: And then there's everybody in the dorm. Well, everybody in
- 16:23Speaker 2: the dorm ain't gay, but.
- 16:25Speaker 1: They are gay. For sure. So women, ladies, please be careful.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But they say, what, if you gay in jail, it
- 16:32Speaker 1: don't count. Yeah, see, that's the bullshit, right? I feel
- 16:35Speaker 1: like they think if nobody knows, it doesn't count. If
- 16:37Speaker 1: it's just you and the people you having sex with.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Nobody else knows.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Quiet on the street. No, exactly.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So I commented, I said, he's about to get solitary
- 16:49Speaker 1: confinement for sure after this hit in the breakfast club.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I said, these niggas is punks. And that's the gist
- 16:54Speaker 1: of the story. Ladies, please be careful. So one of
- 16:57Speaker 1: our mutual friends, Chuck T, he commented, he was like,
- 17:00Speaker 1: he a punk for real. I said, he's not hiding
- 17:03Speaker 1: being a punk. It's the quote-unquote heterosexual men in the
- 17:08Speaker 1: dorm wanting dome from a punk. That's the issue.
- 17:13Speaker 2: So let me, I need.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Because it's punk. Is it P-U-N-K or is it P-O-N-K?
- 17:21Speaker 2: It's punk, P-U-N-K, right?
- 17:25Speaker 1: But the hood, we say punk, P-O-N-K, and that is
- 17:29Speaker 1: like a flamboyant boy girl.
- 17:32Speaker 2: And is that a term that they use for themselves?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Yeah, they use punk.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Okay.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Okay, I wasn't sure if we were... That's a fucking...
- 17:42Speaker 2: I didn't know we were slurring these motherfuckers while I
- 17:44Speaker 2: advocated for them at the same time.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Them dudes in the comment, I mean, those dudes in
- 17:48Speaker 1: the jail are fucking punks. Mm-hmm. Why are y'all sexually
- 17:54Speaker 1: assaulting this boy?
- 17:54Speaker 2: Assaulting that man, yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 1: In jail.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Why have to slur everybody dick in the door? He
- 18:00Speaker 2: must be really good at it. So, he got to
- 18:03Speaker 2: be good at it. But he shouldn't be forced. Nobody
- 18:06Speaker 2: should be forced to do sexual favors except for people
- 18:09Speaker 2: like George Zimmerman.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Somebody commented on this post, the Breakfast Club post, and
- 18:17Speaker 1: said something like, y'all need to see this nigga, this Twitter,
- 18:22Speaker 1: his Twitter, his ex account. I guess he be going
- 18:24Speaker 1: ham on ex. But I mean, even if I want
- 18:27Speaker 1: to be a hoe today, I don't want to be
- 18:29Speaker 1: a hoe every day. I shouldn't have to be forced
- 18:30Speaker 1: to be a hoe any day. Exactly, for anybody. Right.
- 18:34Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? Like, these niggas is in
- 18:37Speaker 1: prison running out. And then they're going to come home.
- 18:40Speaker 1: They got kids out here. They're going to come home
- 18:43Speaker 1: and act like they wasn't in there getting their dick
- 18:46Speaker 1: sucked by a man.
- 18:47Speaker 2: They say if it's, they also be like, it's not
- 18:51Speaker 2: gay if they getting their dick sucked.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Man, they, they, who the hell is they?
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm just playing devil's advocate.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 19:01Speaker 1: They also say, and we say, that's a punk. Okay.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I seen a video where this dude was tearing the
- 19:09Speaker 1: bathroom door down because his.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Girlfriend said that.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Definitely had some gas in there.
- 19:15Speaker 1: Yes. It's either some kids or it's a punk. Right.
- 19:20Speaker 1: In that phone. Okay. I remember I met this Hispanic
- 19:23Speaker 1: dude and he kept sending me his butthole.
- 19:27Speaker 3: His butthole?
- 19:29Speaker 1: I'm a woman.
- 19:30Speaker 2: What am I supposed to do with that? He kept
- 19:33Speaker 2: like bonking up like and opening his butt. Oh yeah,
- 19:38Speaker 2: that's wild.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Eat ass.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Ew.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yuck. What the fuck is happening? I was so confused.
- 19:46Speaker 1: So from that, from that point, and then I went to,
- 19:50Speaker 1: I remember I went to Puerto Rico one year and
- 19:53Speaker 1: I had got this Hispanic guy phone number and I'm
- 19:55Speaker 1: texting him like, hey, he was like, are you a
- 19:58Speaker 1: boy or a girl? Like trying to determine who it
- 20:00Speaker 1: was texting him. Like he probably gave multiple sexes and
- 20:04Speaker 1: multiple people his phone number. Mm-hmm.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. But I appreciate someone who's openly gay because there's
- 20:14Speaker 2: some women who are okay with bisexual men. They're okay
- 20:17Speaker 2: with dating bisexual men, and that's fine. But that's just
- 20:20Speaker 2: not my cup of tea. And not because I just
- 20:23Speaker 2: don't like you to like the same thing as me.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I like that we like opposite shit, you know?
- 20:28Speaker 3: Right. I don't want you to like dick like.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Me, you know?
- 20:33Speaker 2: And then I can't compete with dick.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You know? You kind of can. I mean, you got
- 20:37Speaker 1: it in the store. Yeah, but it's not the thing.
- 20:39Speaker 1: You can't compete with a real dick. You just put
- 20:42Speaker 1: it in the... Yeah, because you don't got the hip
- 20:44Speaker 1: thrust down, probably.
- 20:46Speaker 2: No, I got some thrust.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You saw that comment I had said 1,500 pumps. Like,
- 20:51Speaker 1: 1,500 pumps is just an hour of sex.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Who got time for that?
- 20:55Speaker 1: If you Google, like, the average pumps during sex, it's
- 20:58Speaker 1: a lot.
- 20:59Speaker 3: I'm not fucking for no hour.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Get out of here.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I mean, sometimes I like a marathon.
- 21:05Speaker 2: You probably be on drugs.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Uh, weed. That's it. Say what you be on.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Girl, I ain't going to sleep. I got 10 minutes.
- 21:16Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 21:18Speaker 2: Why would somebody want somebody to stroke them 1,500 times?
- 21:21Speaker 2: You're an animal. Get off of me. I'm calling the police.
- 21:28Speaker 3: That's excessive. What we talk about today.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Means Save that shit. I want to talk about Carisha's
- 21:38Speaker 1: song finally, y'all. I want to talk about all the
- 21:41Speaker 1: controversy surrounding Spin That. You know, one of the biggest
- 21:45Speaker 1: summer records of the 2026 games.
- 21:51Speaker 2: All right, let's get into it. We'll be right back.
- 21:59Speaker 2: I'm glad y'all came back to visit with us. And
- 22:01Speaker 2: I'm so glad we're filming again. You happy about it?
- 22:04Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll try to be more consistent. That's the thing.
- 22:06Speaker 1: We're going to film, but it might be like a
- 22:08Speaker 1: few or far in between.
- 22:09Speaker 2: No, we're not doing that.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Because it's a podcast, man. Like, why the fuck we
- 22:13Speaker 1: got to do visuals anyway?
- 22:14Speaker 2: We got to commit to filming every single episode from
- 22:18Speaker 2: here on out. Pinky, give it.
- 22:22Speaker 1: First of all, the Bible says that you are not.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Don't do that. You are not supposed to make oaths.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I'm not taking an oath. No, I'm not taking no oath.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Why? Come on.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You be calling out more than me. It don't even
- 22:36Speaker 1: be me. So don't pinky swear. I'm trying to save
- 22:38Speaker 1: you from the oath.
- 22:39Speaker 2: No, don't do that.
- 22:40Speaker 1: No.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Come on, let's do it.
- 22:41Speaker 1: No. Give me... It's forced. It's under duress. Bitch.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Give me that motherfucking pinky, bitch.
- 22:48Speaker 1: My pinky is... Look how little my pinky is. Right there.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Put your pinky up. Yeah. Okay. You heard it cracked? Yeah.
- 22:55Speaker 1: But look at my pinky compared to yours. My pinky
- 22:57Speaker 1: is like little and retarded.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Look how you.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Yo, I don't know why... Why is it? It's a
- 23:02Speaker 1: midget pinky.
- 23:03Speaker 2: It's ill.
- 23:04Speaker 1: All right, let's get on with it. I don't know why.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Let's go on with our episode. Sorry.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Take my strong hand.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I don't know why the fuck my pinky's so little, dog.
- 23:15Speaker 1: It is little.
- 23:17Speaker 2: All right, what are we talking about?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Look, we saved this particular topic so we could talk
- 23:24Speaker 1: about it live.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Spin that. Spin that shit. Okay, listen. That is the
- 23:31Speaker 1: song of the summer, whether you like it or fucking not.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Right.
- 23:34Speaker 1: My homegirl getting married in the next couple weeks. I
- 23:36Speaker 1: cannot wait for that shit. I'm about to get a
- 23:37Speaker 1: gold grill and all that type of shit, just so
- 23:39Speaker 1: I can act bad when Spin Nat come on. And
- 23:42Speaker 1: record it. Yeah, so I wanted to talk about all
- 23:46Speaker 1: the controversy surrounding Spin Nat. And I also want to
- 23:52Speaker 1: put a little razzle-dazzle in the conversation also, because I
- 23:56Speaker 1: want to talk about Quiet on the Creek. Or did
- 24:00Speaker 1: we mean creep?
- 24:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Okay. But the controversy surrounding Young Miami, Spin That. Now,
- 24:08Speaker 1: that's the only part about the song I don't like.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Spin That. Because, you know, I literally be trying not
- 24:12Speaker 1: to say. When I talk about spending money or using
- 24:15Speaker 1: money because it's a tool, I try to say circulate.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Because if you say Spin That, it's not coming back.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So now this song got all black people chanting Spin That.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Spin that. And we already at the bottom of the
- 24:26Speaker 1: totem pole. Okay. So when it comes to like words
- 24:29Speaker 1: and spells, we know the quickest way, the easiest way
- 24:33Speaker 1: to possess black people is through music. You know what
- 24:37Speaker 1: I'm saying? So she got all the black people saying
- 24:39Speaker 1: spin that. She may not be consciously aware of what
- 24:42Speaker 1: she's partaking in, but you got to know what you're
- 24:45Speaker 1: hearing and seeing it when it's happening. Yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 2: But outside of the title, which I don't mind.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 24:52Speaker 2: I love the song. It's fun. It's catchy. I don't
- 24:54Speaker 2: feel like I'm about to go scam anybody.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 25:00Speaker 2: But I also understand that it's entertainment.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:03Speaker 2: So when we have people like, who was it? NDIRE.
- 25:07Speaker 2: There was another popular.
- 25:10Speaker 1: The girl from Brownstone, Nikki Gilbert.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:13Speaker 1: One of the artists from Brownstone.
- 25:14Speaker 2: They were going so hard against the song. And I
- 25:16Speaker 2: just was confused as to why this song. Right.
- 25:20Speaker 1: I think because, you know, the controversy isn't because the
- 25:24Speaker 1: song is a fucking flop. It is the biggest rap
- 25:27Speaker 1: song of summer 2026 games. Okay. And I think the
- 25:31Speaker 1: backlash more so centers about like what people believe the
- 25:35Speaker 1: song celebrates. Right. The people who are allowing the song
- 25:40Speaker 1: to be put out, please know that they are the
- 25:42Speaker 1: biggest scammers. There's no black person alive.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Scam more than these people.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Right?
- 25:48Speaker 1: So we be holding the heat on each other.
- 25:51Speaker 2: This country was built on.
- 25:52Speaker 1: On scam. Yeah. Okay, scam and thievery and mischievous bullshit. So,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I feel like we should sing the national anthem of
- 26:00Speaker 2: the game and then spin it directly behind it. Because,
- 26:03Speaker 2: I mean, it applies.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Right. So when the song opens up, it's dedicated to
- 26:10Speaker 1: scammers and my get money bitches, whatever that means.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 26:14Speaker 1: And it includes lyrics about scamming, spending money, and luxury purchases.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Critics argue it glamorizes credit card fraud and online schemes,
- 26:24Speaker 1: illegal ways of making money, materialism as a measure of success.
- 26:29Speaker 1: That's probably the only little piece that I would agree with.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Behavior that could influence younger listeners. So I remember Young
- 26:37Speaker 1: Miami was on Jason Lee's podcast, and he asked her
- 26:41Speaker 1: if she would want her daughter to be a city girl.
- 26:44Speaker 1: She was like, absolutely not. Like, my daughter is going
- 26:46Speaker 1: to be a college girl. That's because though she makes
- 26:48Speaker 1: this music, she's parenting her child. She's not expecting rap artists, actors, McDonald's,
- 26:57Speaker 1: you know, like to feed and parent her child.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Well, see, what I'm confused about is because music has ratings,
- 27:05Speaker 2: just like movies. You're not going to take your young
- 27:07Speaker 2: child to see Training Day with Denzel Washington.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:11Speaker 2: You're not bringing your baby there. So why are you
- 27:14Speaker 2: letting your baby listen to spin it?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Because it be that you like it, and now you're
- 27:19Speaker 1: playing it in the car with the kid in the car?
- 27:21Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:21Speaker 1: You need to have more discipline.
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's on you. And that's why they don't do
- 27:26Speaker 2: actors like that. Nobody's giving Denzel a hard time about
- 27:29Speaker 2: these roles. Nobody's giving any of these actors a hard
- 27:32Speaker 2: time about the roles that they play and say, oh,
- 27:35Speaker 2: how it affects the children.
- 27:36Speaker 1: The gangster roles. Yeah.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:38Speaker 1: When it comes to black movies, though, because just think
- 27:40Speaker 1: about Boys in the Hood or Menace to Society. We
- 27:42Speaker 1: know for a fact that Menace to Society played a
- 27:45Speaker 1: major role in black culture. And also how, you know,
- 27:49Speaker 1: I feel like that shit influenced a lot of black men,
- 27:51Speaker 1: a lot of black boys at that time, because for
- 27:55Speaker 1: whatever reason, we celebrate the bad shit in our culture.
- 27:59Speaker 2: But was it really a celebration? If you think about
- 28:02Speaker 2: that movie.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I think a lot of niggas went and got pistols.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Niggas died. All the main characters died. They went outside.
- 28:08Speaker 2: All these movies, they go outside. I don't see where
- 28:11Speaker 2: the glamour is.
- 28:14Speaker 1: On the streets, the street life, you oftentimes go outside.
- 28:18Speaker 1: You either go out in the pine box or you
- 28:20Speaker 1: go to prison.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but what I'm saying is, what about that makes
- 28:24Speaker 2: you want to do it?
- 28:25Speaker 1: That's what I said in our culture, which the root
- 28:28Speaker 1: word of culture is cult. So in our cult, we
- 28:32Speaker 1: be glamorizing all the bad things about society. It's just
- 28:36Speaker 1: true through music. And I think if we want to
- 28:39Speaker 1: change as a people, the music does have to change.
- 28:43Speaker 1: So people like India Reid, like this is what they're
- 28:45Speaker 1: leaning towards. Like this, this song isn't no different than
- 28:48Speaker 1: any other song. This is more blatant about what she's
- 28:50Speaker 1: talking about. But I think because it's so big, it's
- 28:55Speaker 1: a huge record. She went to the BET Awards. Everybody,
- 28:58Speaker 1: she was up there just to give out her award.
- 29:00Speaker 1: And my fucking started singing the song, chanting it.
- 29:02Speaker 2: You see what I'm saying?
- 29:05Speaker 1: I know JT like... I just don't think she has
- 29:09Speaker 1: the machine behind her. Like Young Miami does. For whatever reason.
- 29:19Speaker 1: She might have aligned with the wrong machine. Yeah. Is
- 29:23Speaker 1: what I think.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Perhaps. But it would have been nice if JT hopped
- 29:26Speaker 2: on the remix.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I know.
- 29:28Speaker 2: It would have been so beautiful.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Because JT is a rapper. Yeah.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Okay?
- 29:31Speaker 1: I can't say the lyrics to Spin That is so spectacular.
- 29:34Speaker 1: My favorite favorite part is uh what's your face called
- 29:38Speaker 1: nigga were you good at that's my favorite part I don't.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Even really know any parts of the song except for
- 29:43Speaker 2: the chorus I don't know none of the lyrics but
- 29:46Speaker 2: then I don't be knowing the lyrics and shit for
- 29:48Speaker 2: real because.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I know movies I know music what was.
- 29:50Speaker 2: That song that we were all singing and dancing to
- 29:53Speaker 2: adults as well and it was definitely about just killing
- 29:57Speaker 2: each other It was like, it was, which is a
- 30:00Speaker 2: lot of songs that didn't narrow it down very well.
- 30:03Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, which one?
- 30:05Speaker 2: It was really huge. And it was like a dance
- 30:08Speaker 2: that went with it.
- 30:10Speaker 1: And I know I remember. I'm glad.
- 30:12Speaker 2: It was like real drill music. Like, I think it
- 30:15Speaker 2: was drill.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I'm glad I make space for like things I need
- 30:18Speaker 1: to remember. And that's probably why I know exactly what
- 30:20Speaker 1: you're talking about.
- 30:21Speaker 2: And the song was like very dark.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And everybody was just jigging. It was a dance that
- 30:26Speaker 2: went with it. So everybody was just kind of.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Knock your head off. The little boy from Florida with dreads.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Something knock your head off. Make your body jerk. Fuck,
- 30:40Speaker 1: what is this? We old! I just can't think of it, baby.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Tell Auntie what the song was. It's like... That's the something, something. Mm, mm, mm, mm, mm.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I don't know. It was like, that was the sound
- 30:55Speaker 2: of the gun or something like that. That's how we
- 30:57Speaker 2: ride on niggas. Something like.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Oh, one, two, three. I don't know.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Anyway. I felt like it was a Chicago drill song
- 31:04Speaker 2: and we was just all singing that shit with our
- 31:06Speaker 2: whole soul. And I was like, I had to stop
- 31:08Speaker 2: and listen. That's the whole soul. See? Exactly. And I
- 31:10Speaker 2: had to listen to the lyrics and I was like,
- 31:12Speaker 2: oh my, auntie don't need to be singing this.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So the biggest public criticism came from NDRV, like we mentioned,
- 31:19Speaker 1: who commented that the widespread popularity of the song says
- 31:23Speaker 1: something troubling about today's culture. Music influences people's thinking and values.
- 31:28Speaker 1: People should be mindful of what they consume. I'm always
- 31:31Speaker 1: on that, but I know how to transmit energy. And
- 31:34Speaker 1: we can't say a younger generation knows how to differentiate,
- 31:38Speaker 1: you know, real from fake.
- 31:40Speaker 2: So do you feel like music is more of a,
- 31:44Speaker 2: energy-pulling than movies?
- 31:46Speaker 1: Absolutely. The vibrations, the frequency in the music, and they
- 31:49Speaker 1: know what they're doing when they manufactured. There's no more
- 31:53Speaker 1: acoustic instruments and stuff like that. It's not live anymore.
- 31:57Speaker 1: They use Pro Tools to create these beats that has
- 31:59Speaker 1: the devil in it, essentially, right? And we get to move,
- 32:02Speaker 1: and our bodies get to move into it. Like, what's
- 32:05Speaker 1: the movie Sinners? That is a great depiction of how
- 32:08Speaker 1: we put our soul into the music. Now they got
- 32:12Speaker 1: AI artists creating soul.
- 32:13Speaker 2: So with that being said, Do you feel like the
- 32:16Speaker 2: song should be done with?
- 32:18Speaker 1: No, I don't. I think all things are permissible. I
- 32:21Speaker 1: think all things can exist. You just have to know
- 32:24Speaker 1: how to transmute the energy of the thing. And I mean,
- 32:27Speaker 1: it comes with You know, this can sound like gibberish
- 32:31Speaker 1: to people, and they don't even realize how the song
- 32:33Speaker 1: is actually affecting their lives. We know that drill music
- 32:36Speaker 1: is a real thing, that these little boys are out
- 32:39Speaker 1: here committing crimes, and they go rap about it before
- 32:41Speaker 1: or after the crime. And they go do it while
- 32:43Speaker 1: on drugs, under the influence, you leaving your portal open.
- 32:46Speaker 1: the outside entities just walking, and you listening to the
- 32:50Speaker 1: music simultaneously while you're going to go drill and kill somebody.
- 32:53Speaker 2: But then you also got people who listening to it
- 32:56Speaker 2: just to lift weights.
- 32:58Speaker 1: That's me. Bitch, I be a whole drug dealer in
- 33:00Speaker 1: the gym.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Exactly. So, I mean, it's just like.
- 33:03Speaker 1: It's all about the individual. I sell hella weight in
- 33:06Speaker 1: the gym, okay?
- 33:07Speaker 2: You live hella weight.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Same thing. Whatever, bitch. I be feeling like the biggest
- 33:12Speaker 1: trap star of the year. Like, at Jeezy concert last weekend, bitch,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I sold hella bricks, okay?
- 33:18Speaker 2: And it makes you feel good.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Yes. I don't know why.
- 33:21Speaker 2: It makes you feel powerful. It makes you feel stronger.
- 33:24Speaker 2: But you're not, you didn't leave the gym and go
- 33:27Speaker 2: try to buy a brick.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:29Speaker 2: No. You know?
- 33:29Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. The bill's kind of making
- 33:31Speaker 1: me feel like I need.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I mean, she.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Listen, if you like our age right now, it's too,
- 33:36Speaker 1: we too old to be going to prison, dog. Like
- 33:37Speaker 1: you go to, you go to jail now, buy the brick.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Like you coming home in the future. the fuck it's
- 33:43Speaker 1: total recall for your ass yeah it's over so you
- 33:45Speaker 1: better figure something else out so all right what's one
- 33:48Speaker 1: song you absolutely love even though you know the lyrics
- 33:51Speaker 1: are just despicable ah um i love all kodak black
- 34:01Speaker 1: shit like I don't know none of them. I'm a
- 34:04Speaker 1: big Kodak Black fan. He a Gemini. I like all
- 34:08Speaker 1: Kodak Black songs, all them Ratchet-ass songs.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Name one song in specific.
- 34:13Speaker 1: That's the thing, shit. I know the beat. You don't
- 34:15Speaker 1: know the name of the song? No.
- 34:17Speaker 2: The one Auntie like, you don't know that?
- 34:19Speaker 1: I like Lil Baby shit. You know what I'm saying?
- 34:21Speaker 1: I don't be knowing the lyrics. Let me look at
- 34:23Speaker 1: my playlist. My gym playlist I got.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And maybe that's why I ain't got no nigga. You
- 34:28Speaker 2: might be the music, might be right. Because I still love,
- 34:31Speaker 2: I still will play real loud. What's this?
- 34:34Speaker 1: Boom, boom, boom.
- 34:37Speaker 2: The bass start like that?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Go ahead.
- 34:39Speaker 2: You don't know what I'm talking about?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Go ahead. Keep it.
- 34:41Speaker 2: You put your trust in the niggas through the hole
- 34:43Speaker 2: how you figure.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Those are great lyrics. Yeah, but- Very educational.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It's still dark. It's not uplifting. It's divisive, for sure.
- 34:55Speaker 2: It does not promote togetherness, but I still would throw
- 34:58Speaker 2: that bitch on real quick.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I guess maybe I don't really
- 35:03Speaker 1: listen to songs that are that bad, per se. Shit.
- 35:07Speaker 2: If you're listening, I know Kodak got some songs.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't be knowing the lyrics for half that.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I mean, not the lyrics. I know the lyrics, but
- 35:14Speaker 1: I don't know the titles of half of these damn songs.
- 35:17Speaker 1: But I do like to listen to songs about finessing.
- 35:20Speaker 2: I feel like everybody- I love Kinderman and all her
- 35:22Speaker 2: songs are very like.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Fuck them niggas.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Yes.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Gemini.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I love her.
- 35:27Speaker 1: She a Gemini too.
- 35:28Speaker 2: I love all her songs. Those are like, Kinderman is
- 35:31Speaker 2: my gym go-to. I'm listening to her. I'm listening to
- 35:34Speaker 2: Mona Leo.
- 35:36Speaker 1: She's positive.
- 35:37Speaker 2: But she got, what's the song? All the white folks
- 35:40Speaker 2: to the back.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:41Speaker 3: I love that song.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't
- 35:45Speaker 1: listen to, like, drill music. And some of these younger rappers,
- 35:48Speaker 1: I don't know who the hell they are. My shit
- 35:49Speaker 1: probably stops at Kodak Black and Lil Baby Generation. And
- 35:53Speaker 1: they might be millennials.
- 35:54Speaker 2: I was just listening to, like, even their love songs. Like,
- 35:58Speaker 2: these young niggas, I was listening to this love song
- 36:00Speaker 2: by G Herbo. And I guess you call it a
- 36:03Speaker 2: love song. It was just so aggressive. And it just wasn't, like,
- 36:07Speaker 2: no passion or romance. It's just no romance.
- 36:09Speaker 1: What I don't like... From the younger generation of rappers
- 36:13Speaker 1: is them taking our classics like Sade.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a classic song too.
- 36:16Speaker 1: No, hold on. Like the one nigga taking Sade and like,
- 36:20Speaker 1: there must have been an angel by my side. There
- 36:23Speaker 1: must have been an AK.
- 36:25Speaker 2: What?
- 36:26Speaker 1: You're making a love song about killing another man? Like
- 36:29Speaker 1: y'all gay. Fuck are we talking about? Why would you
- 36:32Speaker 1: take this classic?
- 36:33Speaker 2: It's a beautiful song.
- 36:34Speaker 1: And I commented on a nigga page. I said, no, period. Period.
- 36:37Speaker 1: And he said, why? I said, nigga, you know why.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Fuck out of here.
- 36:40Speaker 2: What are you doing? He don't know.
- 36:41Speaker 1: They do know why. Like, why are you fucking with
- 36:43Speaker 1: this song? Like, y'all will take, everything is inverted in
- 36:47Speaker 1: a negative way. Like, y'all will take the most positive
- 36:49Speaker 1: songs and make it about killing somebody. That shit is
- 36:53Speaker 1: fucking weird to me. So, I mean, young Miami song
- 36:56Speaker 1: doesn't do that.
- 36:56Speaker 2: And listen, they don't push, like when Lil Baby Hat
- 37:01Speaker 2: is bigger than black and white, they did not push
- 37:03Speaker 2: that song. And they didn't push it on purpose.
- 37:06Speaker 1: No, and it was a good song.
- 37:07Speaker 2: And it was a good song.
- 37:09Speaker 1: God wrote some of Lil Baby music. Like, I don't
- 37:12Speaker 1: know if he came up with some of them lyrics, man.
- 37:14Speaker 2: You said God wrote it?
- 37:15Speaker 1: Yes!
- 37:15Speaker 2: I've been writing most of this shit. But I really
- 37:20Speaker 2: feel like they didn't push it because... It's too positive. Yeah,
- 37:23Speaker 2: it's too positive. And if someone like Lil Baby is
- 37:25Speaker 2: creating positive music and they latch on to it, and
- 37:29Speaker 2: it starts like a cultural shift, a paradigm shift of sorts...
- 37:33Speaker 2: That's not what they want.
- 37:35Speaker 1: They want us to kill each other. Did his career
- 37:37Speaker 1: kind of go down after that?
- 37:39Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't feel like he... I don't
- 37:41Speaker 2: know if we just aged out.
- 37:45Speaker 1: I think Lil Baby just came out with an album.
- 37:46Speaker 1: That's why I'm saying that.
- 37:48Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 37:48Speaker 1: And, you know, people not really listening. Well, I haven't
- 37:51Speaker 1: listened to it. Now, I would say, like, even Gucci Mane.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Gucci Mane came out with one of the best albums,
- 37:55Speaker 1: hands down, last year. November, October, somewhere around then. I
- 38:00Speaker 1: didn't start listening until, like, March. Really? Yes. I don't
- 38:03Speaker 1: even listen to Gucci Mane. When I tell y'all Gucci Mane.
- 38:06Speaker 2: You used to listen to all Gucci though, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 38:09Speaker 1: But not a whole album. I listen to all the singles,
- 38:12Speaker 1: all the singles you love. You know what I'm saying?
- 38:14Speaker 1: I'm talking about song for song. Gucci had one of
- 38:17Speaker 1: the best albums last year. This year, Wale.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Wale. I was about to say Wale.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Shit.
- 38:22Speaker 2: That's Wale.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I watched him at the BET Awards and I was so.
- 38:25Speaker 2: I've loved Wale since forever. He is so underrated.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:28Speaker 2: He don't get the flowers he deserves.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And it is almost likened to... Did you ever watch
- 38:33Speaker 1: Kanye West's documentary he had on Netflix that time? I
- 38:36Speaker 1: forgot the name of it.
- 38:36Speaker 2: No.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Maybe it was Through the Wire is what the name
- 38:39Speaker 1: of it was. I saw that. And, you know, he
- 38:41Speaker 1: had footage. He had somebody with him with a camera
- 38:44Speaker 1: for many years. And he had footage in the studio
- 38:47Speaker 1: with Jay-Z and all that. And they was all acting
- 38:49Speaker 1: like he wasn't who the fuck he was. And I
- 38:51Speaker 1: feel like. You know, he had to say, fuck y'all
- 38:54Speaker 1: and be the God that he is. And I just
- 38:55Speaker 1: feel like that's what Wale needs to get to that
- 38:57Speaker 1: place that I think he's very insecure. I think he's
- 38:59Speaker 1: a cancer. So I think he's like, he cares about
- 39:02Speaker 1: what people... Look, man, you better tap in, bitch. He
- 39:07Speaker 1: need to tap in. He cares about what his peers think. Nigga,
- 39:10Speaker 1: you're great. You are better.
- 39:12Speaker 2: If you ever hear this, Wale, that album you put out.
- 39:16Speaker 1: He's better than most of these rappers out here. I
- 39:19Speaker 1: had a whole argument with one of my homegirl's best friend,
- 39:22Speaker 1: because I'm like, she's like a super Jay-Z fan, right?
- 39:25Speaker 1: And I'm like, Jay-Z is not the best lyricist to me.
- 39:29Speaker 1: If we're talking about rapping and lyricism and actual meaningful
- 39:33Speaker 1: articulation of culture, life, and all that shit, it's not
- 39:38Speaker 1: Jay-Z for me. 444, yes, I related to that album
- 39:41Speaker 1: as some grown adult shit.
- 39:44Speaker 2: I mean, he has been a storyteller with his music, though.
- 39:47Speaker 2: He is one of the greatest.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Yeah, he is, but not the greatest.
- 39:51Speaker 2: So who is the greatest to you, then? I like
- 39:55Speaker 2: Kanye West.
- 39:56Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? I'm a big Kanye West fan.
- 39:57Speaker 1: I like Kendrick Lamar.
- 39:58Speaker 2: So you think Kanye tells stories?
- 39:59Speaker 1: Wale. No, it's just different. That's what I'm saying. To
- 40:02Speaker 1: compare one to the other is just, it's too much
- 40:05Speaker 1: nuance and it's just different. It's just different. All these
- 40:09Speaker 1: people are different. Their messages are different. Flow, all that shit,
- 40:14Speaker 1: just the energy behind the music is just different.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Did we have B.Dot on?
- 40:19Speaker 1: I think he was supposed to. I don't think he,
- 40:21Speaker 1: did he?
- 40:22Speaker 2: I feel like we should bring him back if he
- 40:24Speaker 2: didn't already come on the show. I feel like we
- 40:26Speaker 2: need to bring him back.
- 40:26Speaker 1: What, to have this conversation? Yes. I think we did
- 40:28Speaker 1: do an episode on Virtue.
- 40:29Speaker 2: He does his rap review. And, like, people care.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Or Nyla.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Nyla, too.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Nyla would be excellent.
- 40:37Speaker 2: To discuss these things with because I'm not the perfect
- 40:40Speaker 2: person for it.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, you got a perspective. I
- 40:44Speaker 1: do have a.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Perspective, but I just feel like I'm not a hip-hop,
- 40:49Speaker 2: what is it, aficionado, is that the word?
- 40:57Speaker 1: All right, so the supporters of Spin That perspective is
- 41:03Speaker 1: rap has always included exaggerated storytelling and criminal themes. Male
- 41:08Speaker 1: rappers have made songs about hustling, drug dealing, and scams
- 41:12Speaker 1: for decades with far less backlash. The criticism of Young
- 41:17Speaker 1: Miami reflects a double standard for women in hip hop.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I agree with that. The song is simply a club
- 41:22Speaker 1: anthem and not a guide for how to live, okay?
- 41:26Speaker 1: And young Miami, she has not provided any perspective on
- 41:30Speaker 1: anything y'all niggas think. Like, she like, my song is hitting.
- 41:33Speaker 1: We can't expect these people to have all this social responsibility. Right.
- 41:38Speaker 2: And when I'm like, if shit is fucked up in
- 41:40Speaker 2: the world, I don't be like, what is young Miami
- 41:42Speaker 2: thinking right now?
- 41:43Speaker 1: Like, or Cardi B for that matter.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Or any of them. I'm not, you know, like, they're
- 41:47Speaker 2: not my go-to for my decisions on real life.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Um.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Yeah, so she hasn't apologized, which I don't think there's
- 41:58Speaker 1: anything to apologize for. Rap has been outlandished for a
- 42:04Speaker 1: very fucking long time. But when women start doing things,
- 42:07Speaker 1: because a society, a nation is only as good as
- 42:10Speaker 1: the women, this is when people get up in arms
- 42:14Speaker 1: about shit. And also because how big the record is.
- 42:17Speaker 1: So black people, they already... White people have convinced the
- 42:20Speaker 1: entire world that we do all the shit that they
- 42:22Speaker 1: actually be doing. So here it is. We're outright saying
- 42:27Speaker 1: the scamming shit. Like, I like gray area shit. I
- 42:30Speaker 1: like a little mortgage fraud bait. I don't like how
- 42:33Speaker 1: black people got to put everything on a podcast, everything
- 42:36Speaker 1: in a song that we doing.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Like the girls that was stealing those bags and they
- 42:41Speaker 2: posted a video with the bags.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Even down to business credit, why the fuck is that
- 42:47Speaker 1: on a podcast about how to, you know, do the
- 42:49Speaker 1: little greary, finessey little things that white folks have always
- 42:52Speaker 1: been doing because they built the system? Why are we,
- 42:55Speaker 1: we cannot ever do anything in silence. Which leads us,
- 43:00Speaker 1: I'm thinking about now, Saucy Santana, Quiet on the Creek.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Why is he not getting as much backlash? Because to me,
- 43:09Speaker 1: that song is also about scamming. But to me, in
- 43:13Speaker 1: a more.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Sexual manner.
- 43:15Speaker 1: No, dangerous manner. To me, Young Miami's song is not
- 43:19Speaker 1: promoting killing anybody. And this might be very controversial.
- 43:23Speaker 2: He's not promoting killing nobody.
- 43:26Speaker 1: DL men are killing black women. Let's be clear. Okay?
- 43:31Speaker 1: The reason why HIV is very high amongst black women
- 43:34Speaker 1: in particular is because black men are very promiscuous with
- 43:39Speaker 1: women and men. Not all, but a good bit. It's
- 43:43Speaker 1: a culture. The DL culture is a real thing.
- 43:48Speaker 2: It is.
- 43:48Speaker 1: And we're not going to pretend like it's not.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I can't.
- 43:50Speaker 1: So now you have an outward gay man creating a
- 43:53Speaker 1: song called Quiet on the Creep, talking about how he
- 43:56Speaker 1: a capper, but he spend that bag. Shit like that.
- 43:59Speaker 1: We're not going to act like we don't know what
- 44:03Speaker 1: Saucy Santana. And it's a catchy song.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I like it.
- 44:06Speaker 1: But why isn't he getting backlash like Young Miami's getting?
- 44:09Speaker 2: I don't know. That's a good question.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Is it because it's a man? doing it you see
- 44:17Speaker 1: because that shit is detrimental to the community is also
- 44:21Speaker 1: you know what also.
- 44:22Speaker 2: The song is very new let's see what happens because
- 44:24Speaker 2: it ain't as big as i think if it got
- 44:26Speaker 2: to the level that spin that got to it we.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Might it's platinum on tiktok it's platinum on instagram it's
- 44:33Speaker 1: platinum on facebook right is it on the billboard you
- 44:36Speaker 1: seen spin that on a billboard Yeah, she was, like.
- 44:39Speaker 2: She got up there. Like, she got, like, they were
- 44:41Speaker 2: trying to keep up.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Oh, that's, oh, you mean, like, I mean, like, a billboard.
- 44:44Speaker 1: You're talking about billboard, like, music billboard.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Yeah. I think it could be heading there. It's a
- 44:49Speaker 1: very catchy song.
- 44:50Speaker 2: So, I think that's when people might start having something
- 44:52Speaker 2: to say.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Really?
- 44:53Speaker 2: Because that's what they waited for when she started, like,
- 44:56Speaker 2: doing numbers. That's when they start having problems.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I feel like that song was doing numbers out of
- 45:00Speaker 1: the gate.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but when they start getting really big, you know,
- 45:03Speaker 2: that's when they started having something to say. And I
- 45:05Speaker 2: don't think Saucy Santana's song has made it that far yet.
- 45:08Speaker 2: So we'll see.
- 45:10Speaker 1: We'll see. I just, I can't stand the double standard.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I thought the song was about fishing. That's how I
- 45:16Speaker 2: know I don't be. Apparently it is.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Yeah. So he would say that he'd explain that literally came,
- 45:23Speaker 1: the song literally came from childhood when he would go
- 45:26Speaker 1: fishing with his uncle and his uncle would be like
- 45:28Speaker 1: quiet on the creek. Like you gotta be quiet so
- 45:30Speaker 1: you can catch the fish. He turned that into, to me,
- 45:34Speaker 1: creek is creep.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Right?
- 45:37Speaker 1: I don't know when DL, down low, because a number
- 45:39Speaker 1: of people used to be like, girl, keep down to
- 45:40Speaker 1: down low, don't tell nobody. But now, I guess, down
- 45:43Speaker 1: low is damn near exclusive, exclusively to down low DL men. No,
- 45:49Speaker 1: trade is actually a gay man who just doesn't present
- 45:52Speaker 1: as super flamboyant. He's gay, though. He's just not out
- 45:55Speaker 1: here telling everybody he's gay. Down low are men who
- 45:58Speaker 1: got families, kids... and maybe dibbling and dabbling on the side.
- 46:03Speaker 1: When we did the trade show, an episode with an
- 46:06Speaker 1: openly gay man, one of my friends who's, he's bisexual essentially,
- 46:11Speaker 1: but he was supposed to do the episode, I don't
- 46:13Speaker 1: know how many times, but he told me the reason
- 46:15Speaker 1: why he didn't is because he was actively in a
- 46:17Speaker 1: relationship with a man, a nigga who was on a DL,
- 46:22Speaker 1: who was also like controlling what he can do. Like
- 46:24Speaker 1: how the fuck you controlling two households, one man, one woman, like.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Well, that's not uncommon.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Jeez, let me tell you.
- 46:33Speaker 2: It's not uncommon.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Just tell people who the fuck you are. DL culture
- 46:38Speaker 1: does not need to exist. You have to be honest
- 46:40Speaker 1: with yourself. And we had a whole episode. I feel
- 46:44Speaker 1: like people, for whatever reason, women get blamed for everything.
- 46:49Speaker 1: We get blamed for having gay men as friends. But
- 46:52Speaker 1: men are actively sleeping with the men. And these are
- 46:55Speaker 1: also still men. So why are women even in the
- 46:58Speaker 1: topic of discussion?
- 46:59Speaker 2: And the thing is, we love our kids. We love
- 47:01Speaker 2: our sons. We love.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yeah, we are the nurturers. So however you come, like
- 47:05Speaker 1: you're going to get love from a woman. Like we
- 47:08Speaker 1: birthed these men, but they actually came out of your
- 47:10Speaker 1: nuts first. So who you mad at? That gay ass sperm.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I don't give a damn. It's the truth. And I
- 47:22Speaker 1: feel like in society, we don't like the truth. We
- 47:25Speaker 1: don't like for people to tell you who you are
- 47:27Speaker 1: to your face. You just want to hide and creep
- 47:29Speaker 1: and do low slick shit. And when somebody find out
- 47:32Speaker 1: you want to kill him, that's the pussy shit. Yeah.
- 47:35Speaker 3: That part.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Now that's the, that's the bitch ass shit.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Be yourself. Don't hurt nobody because your truth came out.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Saucy Santana is an outwardly gay man. I think
- 47:45Speaker 1: he gets a lot of support from heterosexual men and
- 47:49Speaker 1: gay men. The trades, everybody. Saucy Santana is funny as fuck.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we love Saucy.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Saucy Santana is funny, but I just want to understand
- 47:57Speaker 1: why Carisha is getting so much.
- 48:02Speaker 2: More hate for her song. It's because she doing well.
- 48:06Speaker 1: I don't listen to the radio, so I haven't heard
- 48:08Speaker 1: Quiet on the Creek on the radio yet. I think
- 48:11Speaker 1: the song is like, what, two weeks old now right now?
- 48:14Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 48:15Speaker 1: But every reel on Instagram is.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Quiet on the Creek.
- 48:19Speaker 2: And I love that for saucy.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Quiet on the Creek. All right.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Critical thinking. Huh?
- 48:27Speaker 1: You got that on here. Where did that come from?
- 48:30Speaker 2: That's it. It's on here.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Finish these statements.
- 48:34Speaker 2: If your favorite song was admitted... into evidence what girl
- 48:39Speaker 2: what you put on him.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I don't even get it if my favorite song was
- 48:45Speaker 1: admitted into evidence it would probably be some scam shit
- 48:48Speaker 1: it would probably be like a good like a little
- 48:53Speaker 1: blend of party and like some bad shit selling pussy
- 48:59Speaker 1: shit mine would be like on.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Snapped you like killing niggas Like, some woman that killed
- 49:07Speaker 2: a man.
- 49:08Speaker 1: And rapped about it?
- 49:09Speaker 2: The song, like, you know, like, I just said Kaya.
- 49:12Speaker 2: She was listening to that on the way to, like.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Oh, what's the dude, the big boy? The biggest, the largest,
- 49:18Speaker 1: but he got the new song where he. like big
- 49:20Speaker 1: extra plug thinking he caught his girlfriend cheating and he
- 49:24Speaker 1: got the Ronald Isley beat it's 2am but he like
- 49:28Speaker 1: it didn't really happen he was hallucinating that his girl
- 49:30Speaker 1: was cheating but the whole thing was storytelling him pulling
- 49:33Speaker 1: up and hair moaning and shooting his girlfriend but then
- 49:36Speaker 1: he woke up it wasn't even real.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Glad that nigga woke up. That's scary. That's one of
- 49:43Speaker 2: my biggest fears, though.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I don't want to.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Go out like that.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Right? The worst advice I've ever learned from music was?
- 49:52Speaker 2: The worst advice? Bitches ain't shit, but hoes are.
- 50:00Speaker 1: That is not the worst advice. That's terrible.
- 50:03Speaker 2: It is. Because that's not true.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Well, I'm not a bitch, so I'm not the whole auditory.
- 50:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but some men would look at all of us
- 50:10Speaker 2: as bitches. Not on an individual basis, but in general.
- 50:14Speaker 2: Ain't that what Cat Williams said?
- 50:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 50:17Speaker 2: So.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:20Speaker 1: I don't know if I ever let that affect me.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I mean, I guess.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't feel like none of that shit really...
- 50:30Speaker 2: Because I separate music from my reality.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Right. But there's a lot of people who don't because
- 50:34Speaker 1: I do think that men rapping, they created ho culture.
- 50:39Speaker 1: They created the hoochie culture. All that shit. Like, yes,
- 50:42Speaker 1: people was always doing like little creepy, little nasty shit.
- 50:45Speaker 1: But like to be outright, like body suits, your titties
- 50:48Speaker 1: out like you're in a music video. The way shit
- 50:50Speaker 1: is now. Like y'all created the ho. And now y'all
- 50:53Speaker 1: mad at the ho.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Do y'all secretly want to be the hoe? I think
- 50:57Speaker 1: niggas got pussy.
- 50:58Speaker 2: They are the hoe. They were the original hoes, you know?
- 51:02Speaker 1: And they mad because women are no longer like adopting
- 51:06Speaker 1: the behavior. Yeah. And I don't think that's not, that's
- 51:08Speaker 1: not our right place though. We should never stoop down
- 51:11Speaker 1: to a man's level of being because we are supposed
- 51:14Speaker 1: to be better. We are, we just better. We supposed
- 51:17Speaker 1: to be better. So now they try to lump us
- 51:20Speaker 1: all in. So now, All the women are bitches and hoes,
- 51:23Speaker 1: and I guess their daughters and moms and sisters are exempt?
- 51:27Speaker 1: Hell no. If I'm a hoe, your mom is a hoe.
- 51:31Speaker 2: The biggest scam people willingly participate in? The American economy
- 51:36Speaker 2: and government.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Shit. Student loans. College.
- 51:39Speaker 2: All of that shit.
- 51:41Speaker 3: Mortgage.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Like, these things are way bigger than doing some credit
- 51:46Speaker 1: card scam.
- 51:46Speaker 2: That's the biggest scam is America.
- 51:48Speaker 1: The whole life. Yeah. Whole life is a scam.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Every time I have to give you money to pay
- 51:53Speaker 2: a bill, that shit never sits right. $ 3.
- 51:56Speaker 1: 50.
- 51:57Speaker 2: $ 4. 95 to pay you.
- 51:59Speaker 3: 3%.
- 51:59Speaker 1: That's fucking stupid.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Or iPhone. I have to get another phone over time.
- 52:06Speaker 2: Why do I have to?
- 52:07Speaker 1: I want to have a whole other, I don't know
- 52:10Speaker 1: what kind of guests we can have on, but I
- 52:13Speaker 1: want to talk about, you know, because just think about it.
- 52:16Speaker 1: The symbol for the iPhone is a bitten apple the
- 52:21Speaker 1: prefer the forbidden fruit adam and eve and it's the
- 52:26Speaker 1: iphone like last week he was like they want to
- 52:28Speaker 1: chip us they that is the chip for sure.
- 52:31Speaker 2: But i could throw this out the window.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Can you you're gonna be on camera somewhere all of
- 52:35Speaker 1: this shit is now like your watch but if i
- 52:38Speaker 1: wanted to.
- 52:39Speaker 2: If i wanted to disconnect i could you know Do
- 52:43Speaker 2: you want to?
- 52:44Speaker 1: No. We're all tethered. No, I don't. That's what I'm saying.
- 52:47Speaker 2: Somebody took my phone from me. It's a fight.
- 52:49Speaker 1: This is bigger than crack. This is bigger than cocaine.
- 52:52Speaker 1: It is so hard to disconnect.
- 52:54Speaker 2: If you wanted to, you could. I just don't want to.
- 52:56Speaker 1: It's tough, man. I have tried to go days without.
- 52:59Speaker 1: I guess nowadays I am on social media less, but
- 53:02Speaker 1: then when I finally get it, it's like I'm waiting
- 53:05Speaker 1: all day to get on there. When I get on there,
- 53:07Speaker 1: I spend... All night on there.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Scrolling. You be watching dumb.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Catching up.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Watching dumb shit, too. Like, I love rug cleanings.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Oh, yes. The dirtiest ones.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Like, how does it get that dirty?
- 53:18Speaker 1: Pimple popping. Oh, love it. I actually like the coochie ones.
- 53:22Speaker 1: I like to see the, literally yesterday, you know, you
- 53:24Speaker 1: only see the sides, though. But it be like big
- 53:27Speaker 1: balls of hair coming out of some people's crotch. And
- 53:32Speaker 1: yesterday I bought a grooming kit with the little needle in.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Because I got a couple blackheads. Too much. See? Too much.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Next thing.
- 53:42Speaker 2: The biggest flex today isn't spending money.
- 53:45Speaker 1: The biggest flex today isn't spending money.
- 53:48Speaker 2: It's what?
- 53:50Speaker 1: Acting like you got money.
- 53:53Speaker 2: No, the flex. Like, a real flex. Like, that's a
- 53:58Speaker 2: real flex.
- 53:59Speaker 1: Oh, health. Health is the biggest flex. Being old and
- 54:02Speaker 1: looking young is a big ass flex. The goal is
- 54:05Speaker 1: to get old, but we want to look.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Truly being at peace.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Yes.
- 54:09Speaker 2: That's the flex.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Yes.
- 54:10Speaker 2: You just peaceful no matter what. Can't nobody rattle you.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:14Speaker 2: No reason, nothing or nobody. Yes. You're living in a
- 54:17Speaker 2: Zen life and I'm jealous.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. Some of this shit I
- 54:22Speaker 1: got on here and I got into a whole nother
- 54:24Speaker 1: something else shot. Yeah, I don't know what the fuck
- 54:26Speaker 1: this shit say. All kind of shit. But yeah, I
- 54:31Speaker 1: really just wanted to just, you know, give our opinion, right?
- 54:36Speaker 1: You know, we are entitled to that on the Young
- 54:40Speaker 1: Miami Spin That Shit because I love the album. I
- 54:45Speaker 1: do think that People should have more social responsibility for,
- 54:50Speaker 1: you know, society. But you cannot, that's a high expectation
- 54:55Speaker 1: to have out of somebody who, you know, a lot
- 54:57Speaker 1: of these people who actually make it to these levels
- 54:59Speaker 1: of success, they come from the fucking slums, from the hood.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Some of them are willing to do any and everything,
- 55:05Speaker 1: never to go back there. So you can't count on
- 55:08Speaker 1: them to have integrity there. to even give a fuck
- 55:11Speaker 1: about how they're affecting the community. They're only concerned about
- 55:15Speaker 1: their immediate, you know, household and family.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Well, I do think that's something that we as Black
- 55:20Speaker 2: people need to find a way to get away from
- 55:22Speaker 2: because our parents and our parents' parents who had less
- 55:25Speaker 2: than us did, you know, prioritize community a bit more
- 55:29Speaker 2: than we do, you know? So that's unfortunate. But, I mean,
- 55:33Speaker 2: she from Dade County, Miami, like, This is what she knew.
- 55:37Speaker 1: She's singing about what the fuck she seen. And that's
- 55:39Speaker 1: what rap has always been.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Storytelling.
- 55:41Speaker 1: JT went to prison for a year and some change
- 55:44Speaker 1: for stealing. Like, Carisha ain't even the one who was
- 55:46Speaker 1: doing the stealing, but she get to make a song,
- 55:47Speaker 1: a hit song about it. She ain't even the one
- 55:50Speaker 1: who did the time behind the shit. Well, that's all
- 55:52Speaker 1: it was about doing time. That's all it was about. Right.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Maybe the bitch ain't never get caught. That ain't her fault.
- 56:03Speaker 2: Alright, what's your last name?
- 56:06Speaker 1: Um, parents or children, it is not anybody else's responsibility
- 56:11Speaker 1: to do so. If you're looking for artists in any
- 56:15Speaker 1: capacity to educate your kids, you are sadly mistaken. I
- 56:19Speaker 1: do not think it's their responsibility. It's 100% the parents' responsibility.
- 56:24Speaker 1: If the artists themselves, Young Miami, can say, hell no,
- 56:28Speaker 1: my baby ain't about to be a city girl. My
- 56:29Speaker 1: baby gonna be a college girl. You should do the
- 56:32Speaker 1: same and make sure that they do not have, um,
- 56:36Speaker 1: They don't have access to this shit. You know what
- 56:38Speaker 1: I'm saying? It's up to you. It's not up to
- 56:40Speaker 1: the artist. It's just not. There are some who have,
- 56:44Speaker 1: they take social responsibility seriously and there's some that aren't.
- 56:47Speaker 1: And unfortunately, the music that gets put out oftentimes is
- 56:51Speaker 1: the most detrimental to the community. It just is. And
- 56:55Speaker 1: I don't think that one song, I don't think NDRR
- 56:58Speaker 1: was calling for a boycott. I think they were saying like.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Don't push the song to be on.
- 57:04Speaker 1: It's too late. Some things just have a life of
- 57:07Speaker 1: its own. You know what I'm saying? So yes, we
- 57:09Speaker 1: know there's a mechanism, but that is a, it's a
- 57:11Speaker 1: little bit of crack. in Spin That. There's a little
- 57:14Speaker 1: bit of crack in that song. There's something in that shit.
- 57:16Speaker 1: There's something in that fucking song. It's not the lyrics,
- 57:19Speaker 1: because the lyrics ain't where the damn, it's the fucking beat.
- 57:21Speaker 2: And like, even old ass people, my mom be like.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Spin that shit. Spin that shit. It's about to be 70. Yeah.
- 57:28Speaker 2: It's just very catchy. It's a little gram.
- 57:31Speaker 1: Yeah. A little gram of crack in there. We love it.
- 57:33Speaker 1: We're proud of you. So keep doing your thing, girl.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Because, all right, let's be clear. Young Miami just had
- 57:38Speaker 2: like a rough couple of years now.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 57:40Speaker 2: She did.
- 57:41Speaker 1: She did.
- 57:41Speaker 2: And we got to witness that. So we love witnessing
- 57:43Speaker 2: the glow up and the goodness and all the energy
- 57:46Speaker 2: that's coming.
- 57:46Speaker 1: That's a whole nother part. That's a whole nother part
- 57:49Speaker 1: of this conversation. We ain't get into it.
- 57:51Speaker 2: It's too late, bitch. So don't even try to start.
- 57:53Speaker 2: You ain't excused.
- 57:56Speaker 1: We know what you did last summer and some before last.
- 57:59Speaker 2: I don't know shit.
- 58:00Speaker 1: That pink powder. That's some pooly shit. I'm sorry, y'all.
- 58:07Speaker 2: All I know is I'm proud of her right now.
- 58:09Speaker 2: And I want her to have all the wins. You know,
- 58:11Speaker 2: we all go through peaks and valleys. This is like
- 58:13Speaker 2: one of her peaks, man. More power to you.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Y'all need to put your expectations down a little bit.
- 58:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 58:20Speaker 2: Of other people.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Yes. Yes. Absolutely. That's your last laugh? Shut up, bitch.
