SPEAKER_01: This is a pretty timely warning right now, because we have, you know, still quite a few uh kids that are getting ready to get out and go and uh do school and all that, and their parents are with us right now.
• 0:09
SPEAKER_01: So I want to make sure you guys hear about this.
• 0:11
SPEAKER_01: Have you heard about the squishy toys exploding in hot cars?
• 0:14
  SPEAKER_01: No.
• 0:14
SPEAKER_01: Alright, this is a big one for you.
• 0:16
SPEAKER_01: So uh Money Talks News actually put this out, and it's interesting because squishy toys like the Nido, which is extremely popular right now.
• 0:24
SPEAKER_00: I gotta Google this because I don't have a kid, so Lydia wants one so bad.
• 0:27
SPEAKER_01: She brings it every weekend.
• 0:29
SPEAKER_01: Can we go to Walmart and see if they have a Nido?
• 0:31
SPEAKER_01: Uh although we have one coming for her, I believe, from uh somewhere else.
• 0:34
  SPEAKER_01: But anyway.
• 0:35
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
• 0:36
SPEAKER_01: They're exploding in hot cars this summer.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_01: Now, a this one happened in New Mexico.
• 0:41
SPEAKER_01: It was a teenager recently uh suffered third-degree burns after a Nido toy sat in a hot car for hours.
• 0:48
SPEAKER_01: Now, of course, New Mexico ridiculously hot.
• 0:52
  SPEAKER_00: Right, right, right.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_01: But I'm not saying it can't happen here.
• 0:54
SPEAKER_01: And then it exploded when they squeezed it.
• 0:56
SPEAKER_01: Uh, Nito's maker basically says, kind of what you'd expect.
• 1:01
SPEAKER_01: Well, we're saddened by the incident and warn uh not to heat the toys or leave them uh in cars.
• 1:06
  SPEAKER_01: Sure.
• 1:07
SPEAKER_01: You tell any kid not to leave something in a car.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_01: If you put it onto my car right now, you'd be like, what tornado blew through your vehicles, guys?
• 1:14
SPEAKER_00: My friend Jessica's car is so gross.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_00: Like, she will randomly in our group message be like, Well, I found Autumn's milkshake from like three weeks ago or whatever.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_01: You know, my God, there was half a burger in my car, I swear, for a week and a half.
• 1:27
SPEAKER_00: Oh, speaking of, I have to read this to you.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_00: So this has to do with car cleanliness, which I think is so timely for this.
• 1:33
  SPEAKER_00: Uh, where is it?
• 1:35
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_00: Uh, 73% of dating Americans believe car maintenance reflects personal care habits and revealing that messy vehicles are indicators of disorganized lives.
• 1:46
  SPEAKER_00: I disagree.
• 1:48
SPEAKER_01: I really hope you're aiming this at me.
• 1:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm aiming no, I'm aiming it at myself.
• 1:52
SPEAKER_00: Because I have the most disgusting car.
• 1:55
SPEAKER_01: Well, you are a whole different level of gross.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_01: You are a rolling dumpster.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_00: I have, and my it's gotten a lot better.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_00: But in my car, there has it's it's like that um the what's the stuff that you put on my floors whenever you were staining my floors.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, uh polyurethane.
• 2:11
SPEAKER_00: I have polyurethane that has accidentally dumped down so now my well protected.
• 2:17
SPEAKER_00: My seat has a nice clear, dripping coat.
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, love it.
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 2:22
SPEAKER_01: But I've been in your car where my feet haven't even touched the floorboard because I don't even know what I'm they're on.
• 2:27
SPEAKER_00: I have to get my mess somewhere and it will not be in my house.
• 2:32
SPEAKER_00: Even Zach the other day was like, You are the most chaotic, clean person I've ever met in my life.
• 2:37
  SPEAKER_01: That's a great description.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_00: It really is.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_00: So I really disagree with this as far as just because I have a messy car does not mean my life is disorganized, disorganized.
• 2:46
SPEAKER_00: Maybe for most, but not all.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna agree with you though, too, because having kids makes it an impossibility.
• 2:52
SPEAKER_01: Now, the easy answer is make them clean up after themselves.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_01: Okay, genius, go write a book on parenting and shut up.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think you you obviously try.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_01: You say I mean you do what you can do.
• 3:04
  SPEAKER_01: You remind them.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_00: Right, Lydia, grab it because you have you want to impart in them to be responsible for their own things.
• 3:10
SPEAKER_00: So, Lydia, don't forget your book bag and your thermos.
• 3:13
  SPEAKER_00: I remember.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_01: The big fix is when it's time to uh vacuum out the car and clean it all out, about the only way to get around it is you get them involved so that they can be like, wow, we're gross.
• 3:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, my mom wouldn't even say to me as a younger child, it I I it's not my responsibility, I'm not taking care of this.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_00: So one of the things that I would bring to school, sometimes you'd bring like super raviolis in the thermos.
• 3:33
  SPEAKER_00: Do you remember this?
• 3:34
SPEAKER_00: You had your you had like a softer lunch box and it had whatever the thing was.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_00: It could have been like my little ponies and whatnot.
• 3:42
SPEAKER_00: And there was a matching thermos that went inside there.
• 3:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_00: Well, for some reason, that thermos would never make it back in the box, and it would be like underneath my mom's seat or rolling around, or it would be in the back of a cubby somewhere, and then at one point you find it.
• 3:57
SPEAKER_01: And you know what you do with that?
• 3:59
  SPEAKER_01: Throw it out.
• 4:00
  SPEAKER_00: That's exactly it.
• 4:01
  SPEAKER_01: Don't even open it.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_00: I hated the fact that my mom would open it and she'd be like, Alicia!
• 4:06
SPEAKER_01: You gotta be kidding me.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_01: It's time to play around.
• 4:09
  SPEAKER_01: Thank you, 3386.
• 4:11
SPEAKER_01: Still co-hosting the show since Monday.
• 4:13
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_01: It's time to play around of what's in Allie's car.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_01: So you get to text us and we will acknowledge is it in the car presently or has been for an extended period of time.
• 4:26
SPEAKER_00: Most everything is sitting in the trunk right now, but yeah.
• 4:29
SPEAKER_01: But there have been times and it's elsewhere.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_01: So feel free to text whatever comes to mind and we'll play Is It in Allie's car.
• 4:36
SPEAKER_00: Should I walk down there and call from my car?
• 4:39
  SPEAKER_00: Root around.
• 4:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I got a text from this one.
• 4:42
  SPEAKER_01: Let's you have this.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_01: We could do it that way.
• 4:44
  SPEAKER_01: Kind of like that.
• 4:44
SPEAKER_01: That's kind of a funny way to do it.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_01: Uh oh, and in in a minute, you gotta find you gotta ask if if uh this is actually stepping over the line too far.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_01: A little invasive, if you will.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, and I gotta tell you the next thing.
• 4:56
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that's right.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_01: All right, we'll do it next.
