Speaker 1: to take place at the what we call the Last Supper.

Speaker 1: We saw Judas is Scariot leave the table to go

Speaker 1: and do. Jesus said to go, whatever you do, do

Speaker 1: it quickly. And he was on his way to betray him.

Speaker 1: And even though Jesus he knows that these are his

Speaker 1: final hours, he turns his attention to his disciples. He

Speaker 1: want to prepare them. He wanted to let them know

Speaker 1: that they're not leftist orphans. He's not leaving them by themselves.

Speaker 1: But he must go back to the Father. He desires

Speaker 1: to be with the Father. As a matter of fact,

Speaker 1: he told them, you would rejoice if you love me,

Speaker 1: because I said, I go back to the Father. It

Speaker 1: is an amazing and a beautiful place to be in

Speaker 1: the presence of the Father. Hallelujah. I can't wait until

Speaker 1: I get there, hallelujah. But before I get there, I

Speaker 1: need to bring as many people as possible. Hey man,

Speaker 1: we are here to prepare of people for Heaven, for

Speaker 1: Heaven's courts. Prepare ourselves as we prepare one another. Amen.

Speaker 1: So we're gonna look at the heart of Jesus. This

Speaker 1: is right before his crucifixion. He knew that he was

Speaker 1: getting ready to leave, and this is his prayer, and

Speaker 1: this is his heart towards his disciples in towards us

Speaker 1: as well. Amen. So let's start off in verse one.

Speaker 1: And it says Jesus spoke these words, lifted up his

Speaker 1: eyes to Heaven and said, Father, the hour has come,

Speaker 1: glorify your son, that your son also may be glorified

Speaker 1: in you. Amen. Hallelujah. Now Jesus looks towards Heaven, the

Speaker 1: place of authority and communion. The hour he spoke of

Speaker 1: is the cross, the moment of suffering that will ultimately

Speaker 1: glorify by the Father. And it's through redemption, the redemption

Speaker 1: of the human race. This right here is deep. You see,

Speaker 1: Jesus didn't pray with his head down, even though he

Speaker 1: was on his way to be crucified. He knew what

Speaker 1: was coming. He knew the persecution and the physical abuse

Speaker 1: that he was about to undertake. But he prayed with

Speaker 1: his eyes lifted up this confidence and connection. He wasn't

Speaker 1: praying to escape the cross, but to fulfill his purpose

Speaker 1: through it. Sometimes our hour of testing is actually.

Speaker 1: third person. That kind of threw me off for a second.

Speaker 1: He was speaking of hisself in the third person. And

Speaker 1: eternal life isn't about endless existence, It's about relationship. Knowing

Speaker 1: God personally is the very essence of life ever lasting.

Speaker 1: You know, this verse kills the idea that salvation is

Speaker 1: just about going to heaven. It's not just about going

Speaker 1: to heaven, it's about knowing God.

Speaker 1: Eternal life begins when your relationship with him begins. When

Speaker 1: If you notice here Jesus speaks of his mission as

Speaker 1: already completed. The cross was certain it was gonna happen.

Speaker 1: This reveals his divine preexistence and unity with the Father.

Speaker 1: This is Jesus saying mission accomplished right before the cross

Speaker 1: even happened. That's faith in full maturity. And notice he

Speaker 1: remembers his heavenly glory. That's where he was headed. He

Speaker 1: was headed back to heaven to the very glory that

Speaker 1: he left, and that is the same place where he

Speaker 1: is bringing us. Hallelujah. Amen. If you know him, if

Speaker 1: you have a relationship with him. He's bringing us. As

Speaker 1: a matter of fact, the Bible says that we are

Speaker 1: already seated in heavenly places in Christ. Jesus verse six

Speaker 1: whom you have given me out of the world. They

Speaker 1: were yours. You have given them to me, and they

Speaker 1: have kept your word. Hallelujah, Oh God, let this be

Speaker 1: our prayer. Hallelujah. Let us be men that the Father

Speaker 1: has given to Christ. Let us be men that will

Speaker 1: keep his word. Amen. Now they have known that all

Speaker 1: Jesus declares that he has revealed the Father's name to

Speaker 1: his disciples. They received the word and they believed it.

Speaker 1: There's one thing to receive the word, and it's a

Speaker 1: whole nother thing to believe the word. These are two

Speaker 1: separate things. Make sure that once we receive it, that

Speaker 1: we believe it as well. God's truth is given to

Speaker 1: those who are ready to receive. Faith is the open

Speaker 1: door to revelation. And you say that again, your faith

Speaker 1: is the open door to revelation. Jesus poured into his crew.

Speaker 1: He didn't just preach to them, He revealed God to them. Leaders,

Speaker 1: listen up. Your calling is to reveal God to your circle,

Speaker 1: not just speak about Him, not just talk about them,

Speaker 1: not just say the right things. But we are to

Speaker 1: re ill God to our circle. Amen. That means pastors,

Speaker 1: spiritual leaders, people, mentors, evangelists, all of us. If we're

Speaker 1: going into our community and we're not revealing God and

Speaker 1: then we are not fulfilling the mission. Amen. Verse nine

Speaker 1: through twelve. I pray for them. I do not pray
16:33
Speaker 1: for the world, but for those whom you have given me.

Speaker 1: Now that's interesting, I wonder why he chose not to

Speaker 1: pray for the world. But this is exclusively for those

Speaker 1: whom the Father has given. And he said, for they
16:52
Speaker 1: are yours, and all mine are yours, and yours are mine.

Speaker 1: And I am glorified in them. Hallelujah. See He's even

Speaker 1: glorified in us. Now I am no longer in the world,

Speaker 1: but these are in the world, and I came to you,

Speaker 1: Holy Father. Keep through your name, those who you have

Speaker 1: given me, that they may be one as we are one. Amen.

Speaker 1: Now that's a point important, that is very important. We're

Speaker 1: going to drop back to that in a minute, as

Speaker 1: we are one. While I was with them in the world,

Speaker 1: I kept them in your name. Those whom you gave

Speaker 1: me I kept, I have kept, And none of them

Speaker 1: is lost except the son of tradition that the scripture

Speaker 1: might be fulfilled. And right there he's talking about judas

Speaker 1: a scariot. So there's a lot of meat right here.

Speaker 1: So let's break this down on more time. I mean,

Speaker 1: not one more time, but you know what I mean.

Speaker 1: Jesus prays specifically for his disciples, not for the world yet,

Speaker 1: but for those entrusted to him. He asks a father

Speaker 1: to keep them in unity. His prayer covers spiritual protection

Speaker 1: and it covers unity. Now key elements for the church

Speaker 1: to thrive spiritual protection in unity, unity is protection. You see,

Speaker 1: division opens the door to the enemy. Jesus knew the

Speaker 1: importance of keeping his people won. I mean, let's think
19:08
Speaker 1: about it like this. You got lions out on the
19:14
Speaker 1: savannah right looking for their next meal, their next prey,
19:20
Speaker 1: and so what they want to do is they want
19:22
Speaker 1: to scare the herd. They want to get them into panic, right,
19:31
Speaker 1: and then they want them to begin to break apart.

Speaker 1: They're looking for the stragglers, for the one to stray
19:40
Speaker 1: away from the herd, because there's power in the herd,

Speaker 1: there's power in unity. If they heard, if they all
19:51
Speaker 1: band together and fight the enemy, they would get away.

Speaker 1: But once we are divided and split and isolated, that's

Speaker 1: when he will devour his prey. And the Bible warns

Speaker 1: us that Satan rooms around like a roaring lion, seeking

Speaker 1: whom he may devour. And so I'm thinking, you know,

Speaker 1: I'm thinking of my own household. You know, if you

Speaker 1: heard the podcast yesterday, you know that we're going through
20:26
Speaker 1: a situation right now with one of my step children,

Speaker 1: my stepdaughter, and she has left the house. She called

Speaker 1: her dad, he called, they called the police. And this

Speaker 1: they're trying to accuse us of stuff. You know, she
20:45
Speaker 1: just doesn't want to submit to the to the rules

Speaker 1: of the house. At this point, God is working on her.

Speaker 1: Please keep her in prayer. But before we got to

Speaker 1: this point, she would isolate, lead herself to her room.

Speaker 1: She would not be a part of the family. She

Speaker 1: would go and isolate ourselves and see teenagers. Be careful,

Speaker 1: Be careful. Don't allow your teenagers to lock themselves up

Speaker 1: in the room and isolate themselves. That is a dangerous

Speaker 1: place to be alone with your own thoughts like that.

Speaker 1: Make sure you're feeding your children the word. I don't

Speaker 1: care how old they are. Make sure you're renewing their

Speaker 1: mind with the word. Wash your family with the word. Amen,

Speaker 1: because that is the battle, and that is what the

Speaker 1: enemy attacks. He attacks our thought life. Amen. Remember, unity

Speaker 1: is protection. All right, let's go to verse thirteen. We're

Speaker 1: gonna take it between thirteen and nineteen. But now I

Speaker 1: come to you, and these things I speak in the world,

Speaker 1: that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I

Speaker 1: have given them your word, and the world has hated

Speaker 1: them because they are not of the world, just as

Speaker 1: I am not of the world. Amen. All right. Actually,

Speaker 1: I mean, I've given them your word. In the world

Speaker 1: the world, that you should keep them from the evil one. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: Thank you for this prayer. We need to rejoice, which

Speaker 1: evil one. They are not of the world, just as

Speaker 1: I am not of the world. Sanctify them by your truth.

Speaker 1: Your word is truth. As you sent me into the world,

Speaker 1: I also have sent them into the world, and for

Speaker 1: their sakes I sanctify myself that they also may be

Speaker 1: sanctified by the truth. Amen. Hallelujah. That was a lot

Speaker 1: by the truth. Your word is truth. Sanctification means to

Speaker 1: If you're following Christ, you cannot blend in with the world.

Speaker 1: You can't compromise. You can't Light and darkness cannot fellowship together.

Speaker 1: You have been set apart, like clean dishes ready to

Speaker 1: You're not a dirty dish. Anymore. When we were in

Speaker 1: the world, we were filthy. But God has cleansed us

Speaker 1: but also for those who will believe in Me through

Speaker 1: their word. Now this is us. Pay attention, perk up

Speaker 1: would believe that they all may be one as you

Speaker 1: Father are in me and I in you. This unity

Speaker 1: isn't organizational, right, We're not talking about community organizers. This

Speaker 1: unity is spiritual. True oneness comes from abiding in Christ.

Speaker 1: Let me say that again. True oneness comes from abiding

Speaker 1: in Christ. That's powerful. Jesus prayed for you before you

Speaker 1: were even born, and man, Jesus knew your life. He

Speaker 1: knew that you would be here, that I would be here,

Speaker 1: and he prayed for us. You're part of his eternal vision. Hallelujah.

Speaker 1: his eternal vision. He wants his people to walk in harmony,

Speaker 1: not in competition, and his heartbreaking to see so much

Speaker 1: competition out there in the body of Christ and man,

Speaker 1: even in our genre. And when I had the physical

Speaker 1: building operating club, his hop, our youth gospel club that

Speaker 1: we open back in twenty twelve, there were other hip

Speaker 1: hop ministries in the city. And what would happen, You know,

Speaker 1: I would establish a day to do an event. I

Speaker 1: established the second Fridays of every month so that everyone

Speaker 1: would know that hey we're doing an event. We got

Speaker 1: this this planned out, we got a schedule, and then

Speaker 1: other ministries would decide to do their event on the
29:24
Speaker 1: same day and then would get offended because I would

Speaker 1: not cancel my event. They felt that my event should

Speaker 1: be canceled. They looked at me as I'm, you know,

Speaker 1: competing against them, and I couldn't already had people coming.

Speaker 1: I had people that already booked their planes, people had

Speaker 1: already made arrangements to travel, the artists to come out

Speaker 1: and to minister at the club. So I couldn't do it.

Speaker 1: And they we could have, you know, we could have

Speaker 1: maybe try to bind the events together or something.

Speaker 1: But that was like out of a spirit of competition.

Speaker 1: And I don't know, maybe I was wrong, Maybe I

Speaker 1: should have canceled my event. I don't know. I'm not

Speaker 1: saying I'm perfect, that I've done everything right, but as

Speaker 1: the Body of Christ, we should have been loving on

Speaker 1: each other, being more supportive and trying to work together.

Speaker 1: Because a lot of this stuff I heard through the grapevine.

Speaker 1: But anyway, that's in the past. This prayer is for

Speaker 1: us to be united now present day. I'm not bitter

Speaker 1: I'm not angry, and if I am, I will repent.

Speaker 1: I like to be transparent and honest about everything, especially

Speaker 1: you know, as I go before the Lord, and you know,

Speaker 1: do these podcasts and minister and all that, and you know,

Speaker 1: I'm convicted myself. The Word is working through me as well.

Speaker 1: That's the power of the word. It's a mirror. And

Speaker 1: so yeah, it was offensive. I felt offended that they

Speaker 1: should have known my schedule, like I made it clear

Speaker 1: and plain, and how is it that I'm the one

Speaker 1: in the wrong. So, Father, I released that. I give

Speaker 1: that over to you. I put it on the altar.

Speaker 1: I cast down imagination, and I take every thought captive.

Speaker 1: Oh Lord, I am to walk in love as your

Speaker 1: word says, and as you prayed for us as a body,
