Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Cubby, Christine, Kristen, we're here. Happy Friday. Getaway Friday. So,
- 0:04Speaker 1: every winter, the country looks to Puxatawney Phil for a
- 0:08Speaker 1: glimpse of hope, Christine. Will winter rage on for six
- 0:12Speaker 1: more weeks, or will spring deliver us from misery.
- 0:15Speaker 2: A little early?
- 0:16Speaker 3: Right.
- 0:17Speaker 4: So.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Phil is the predictor of that.
- 0:19Speaker 2: That's in February. Yes. But now we have a new predictor.
- 0:22Speaker 4: We have a lobster.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:28Speaker 2: What's going on? Like, what does this lobster do?
- 0:30Speaker 3: Don't question Patsy Pete. He is going to predict whether
- 0:34Speaker 3: we have six more weeks of summer or an early winter.
- 0:39Speaker 3: So Patsy Pete lives in Belfast, Maine, and he gets
- 0:44Speaker 3: pulled from the bay, brought ashore, and chooses between two squirrels.
- 0:48Speaker 3: One predicts six more weeks of summer. Another picks an
- 0:50Speaker 3: early winter. And apparently this clairvoyant crustacean has been doing
- 0:55Speaker 3: this for quite some time. He communicates his prophecy to
- 0:59Speaker 3: a select group of local residents. They will then turn
- 1:02Speaker 3: and tell us what he had to say. So that
- 1:04Speaker 3: is happening this weekend. We're waiting for his prediction.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And I wonder if it'll be on TV like Phil is,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know, will there be a whole like chant going on?
- 1:14Speaker 3: It doesn't seem like that's happening. Maybe more of a
- 1:16Speaker 3: local thing, but you know, we're spreading the word. We'd
- 1:19Speaker 3: like to make them world famous.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Passy Pete.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Passy Pete.
- 1:22Speaker 2: The lobster.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 2: That will be eaten probably on Tuesday.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Which way does his claw go or does he like
- 1:27Speaker 3: crawl towards it? I don't know exactly what he does.
- 1:30Speaker 2: And do you want six more weeks of summer or
- 1:32Speaker 2: do you want an early fall?
- 1:34Speaker 3: I'm ready for fall. Me too. Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm ready for fall too. All right, your weather
- 1:37Speaker 2: today though, it's hot, sunshine, high 86.
