- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Guardian Angel of talk radio is here. Curtis
- 0:05Speaker 1: Leewah guest host the Mark Simone Show on seven to ten.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Woor wow.
- 0:21Speaker 3: This is an early Christmas present for me to be
- 0:26Speaker 3: back on talk radio and the station that I listened
- 0:30Speaker 3: to all the time now war and to be substituting
- 0:34Speaker 3: for the best talk show hosts in all of New
- 0:36Speaker 3: York City, March Simon. Nobody's been doing it longer, and
- 0:39Speaker 3: nobody's been doing it better. I worked with March Simon
- 0:44Speaker 3: over at WABC, and then he was a competitor against me.
- 0:49Speaker 3: So is nobody who knows talk radio better than March Simon.
- 0:53Speaker 3: So it's a real honor to be able to come
- 0:57Speaker 3: in and substitute for this let And having met with
- 1:02Speaker 3: Tom Cutty, who's the program director who I knew at WPLJ.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I remember what happened when Cumulus, who owned a cluster
- 1:10Speaker 3: of stations, they had decided that they wanted to get
- 1:13Speaker 3: out of the business in New York. That made no
- 1:15Speaker 3: sense to me, and they turned off the lights on
- 1:18Speaker 3: the most iconic FM station with the call letters WPLJ.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Couldn't believe that, and Tom then obviously was picked up
- 1:28Speaker 3: by wor has been a great program director here and
- 1:32Speaker 3: I've had an opportunity to sample all of the hosts
- 1:37Speaker 3: and presenters here at woor from Larry Menty in the
- 1:41Speaker 3: Morning was so kind to me during the election cycle
- 1:45Speaker 3: to obviously mark them all my biggest fan. Both in
- 1:48Speaker 3: twenty twenty one when I ran from mayor against Eric Adams,
- 1:52Speaker 3: and I did warn you, didn't I say, is he
- 1:55Speaker 3: that he would be a crook and there would be chaos.
- 1:58Speaker 4: But nobody wanted to listen. Everybody said to me, you
- 2:01Speaker 4: were right, we should have listened.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you should have listened, and we suffered, and as
- 2:06Speaker 3: a result of his massive failure, we ended up with
- 2:10Speaker 3: Johan Mandami. We're gonna get into all of that and
- 2:13Speaker 3: a lot of the background that went into clearly what
- 2:15Speaker 3: is the most historic press I said, president setting election
- 2:22Speaker 3: that has ever taken place in the City of New
- 2:24Speaker 3: York for Maya. It took on international, national, regional, and
- 2:28Speaker 3: local ramifications for a number of reasons. We're going to
- 2:32Speaker 3: explore all of that, and I'm going to dig up
- 2:35Speaker 3: the bones, because nobody knows where the bones are buried
- 2:40Speaker 3: more than courteously, and I will dig them up, and
- 2:42Speaker 3: I will expose a lot of folks and what they
- 2:45Speaker 3: did during this election cycle to prevent a fair square
- 2:52Speaker 3: election in which people could go into the voting booths
- 2:56Speaker 3: and choose candidates based on the issues. On this desire
- 3:02Speaker 3: to have you constantly play dropout, dropout, drop out, drop out.
- 3:06Speaker 4: We're going to get into all of that.
- 3:08Speaker 3: And as you heard at the top of the news hour,
- 3:10Speaker 3: iHeart again this powerful owner of so many radio stations
- 3:14Speaker 3: in the nation to be able to broadcast here as
- 3:18Speaker 3: I have from many of the different programs both on
- 3:20Speaker 3: FM and AM over the years as a guest, and
- 3:23Speaker 3: to hear Larry the news Guy talk about where I
- 3:27Speaker 3: will be at two o'clock this afternoon. It is a
- 3:31Speaker 3: story that the local officials in New York City want
- 3:36Speaker 3: to go away. It is the most horrific case that
- 3:42Speaker 3: has ever occurred, a tragedy, a crime, an act of
- 3:50Speaker 3: barbaric proportion. And in all my years of riding the subways,
- 3:54Speaker 3: and I've been riding the subway since I was five
- 3:56Speaker 3: years old, by myself, nineteen fifty nine, took my first
- 3:59Speaker 3: ride on the L train. L stood for Lousey Line,
- 4:03Speaker 3: Rockaway Parkway, last stop in Kenarsi, where I was raised,
- 4:07Speaker 3: and I've been riding ever since. It'll be forty seven
- 4:10Speaker 3: years in February since I started the Guardian Angels to
- 4:13Speaker 3: protect people both in the subways and streets here, across
- 4:17Speaker 3: the nation and in thirteen countries around the world, and
- 4:23Speaker 3: increasingly having to come to the aid of women like
- 4:27Speaker 3: the brin and Kowam. Yeah, the Brina Kowam was homeless,
- 4:31Speaker 3: emotionally disturbed, like so many who live in the subways,
- 4:34Speaker 3: and she was sent on fire by that illegal alien,
- 4:39Speaker 3: Sebastian Zepeta that we were housing in a homeless shelter
- 4:44Speaker 3: at great expense in East New York Samaritan House.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I thought they took care of people with drug issues, but.
- 4:49Speaker 3: They were making a lot of money at our taxpayer's expense.
- 4:53Speaker 3: And he was a pyromaniac. We're going to go into
- 4:55Speaker 3: all of those details, but this is what I do
- 4:59Speaker 3: on a regular basis. Since the moment that I lost
- 5:02Speaker 3: the election, I haven't missed a beat. I've been down
- 5:05Speaker 3: in the subways and in the streets and taking care
- 5:08Speaker 3: of those poor lost souls, the homeless, the emotionally disturbed,
- 5:13Speaker 3: who shouldn't be there, and yet they lived there. They
- 5:16Speaker 3: reside there, no matter who the mayor was, whether it
- 5:19Speaker 3: was Comrade Bildeblasio, the part time mayor of the Dope
- 5:22Speaker 3: from Park Slope, along with his grift of wife Charlane.
- 5:26Speaker 3: We'll talk about that later on, because he owes US
- 5:30Speaker 3: one and a half billion dollars money that was taken
- 5:34Speaker 3: for a program called Thrive that was supposed to help
- 5:37Speaker 3: the emotionally disturb. I don't ever remember one person having
- 5:42Speaker 3: been helped, and then by Eric Adams Swagerman with no plan.
- 5:46Speaker 3: By the way, where is he? What country is Eric
- 5:50Speaker 3: Adams the cor up one in today? Sort of like
- 5:53Speaker 3: when Matt Lower used to do the morning show at NBC.
- 5:55Speaker 3: You know what country is Matt Lower in?
- 5:57Speaker 4: Today?
- 5:58Speaker 3: This guy is, I mean, a grifter like you can't believe,
- 6:04Speaker 3: and oo far soon he will be gone. But I
- 6:08Speaker 3: also want to talk about what happened behind the scenes,
- 6:14Speaker 3: and I'm doing it on a radio station Wor of
- 6:17Speaker 3: which I made my very first appearance back in nineteen
- 6:21Speaker 3: seventy one, having been named the newspaper Boy of the Year,
- 6:24Speaker 3: having delivered the daily news like so many people did,
- 6:28Speaker 3: and growing up saved five people in a burning building
- 6:31Speaker 3: at that time. That got the attention of then President
- 6:35Speaker 3: Richard Nixon, got an award in the White House, and
- 6:39Speaker 3: then my very first interview upon my return to New
- 6:42Speaker 3: York City was at fourteen forty Broadway, the mid morning
- 6:47Speaker 3: show hosted by Arlene Francis.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Boy. I've had the bug ever since talking on radio.
- 6:52Speaker 3: So actually WOOR provided me my baptism.
- 6:58Speaker 4: In radio with my very first interview.
- 7:00Speaker 3: As they escorted me around, I look at all the
- 7:02Speaker 3: various studios, the news room that had many men and
- 7:06Speaker 3: women that were processing the news back then, and it's
- 7:10Speaker 3: one of the most iconic symbols of talk radio in
- 7:15Speaker 3: the nation. With only three call letters WR everybody else right,
- 7:21Speaker 3: it's four like where I was from where I spent
- 7:24Speaker 3: most of my life in talk radio WABC close to
- 7:28Speaker 3: thirty years. There were some other stations in between. You
- 7:33Speaker 3: know how long you've been in talk radio by the
- 7:35Speaker 3: number of radio stations that you've worked at. But WABC
- 7:39Speaker 3: was the bulk of my time there. In all different
- 7:42Speaker 3: time slots. Morning Drive, it was Angels in the Morning
- 7:46Speaker 3: with my wife Lisa at that time. Then there was
- 7:50Speaker 3: a spot morning Drive with Ron Kooby, whose mommy was
- 7:52Speaker 3: a comedy for many years. I did mid mornings, I
- 7:57Speaker 3: did overnights, I did weekends. I was always available twenty
- 8:01Speaker 3: four to seven, three sixty five, so that the acronym
- 8:04Speaker 3: stood for WABC, always broadcasting Curtis and so going into
- 8:09Speaker 3: this election cycle, early on, I made it very clear
- 8:13Speaker 3: that I would seek the Republican nomination a run for
- 8:17Speaker 3: mayor again, as I did in twenty twenty one. By
- 8:20Speaker 3: the way, with no help from WABC back then. None
- 8:24Speaker 3: people should know that the orders came from management and
- 8:28Speaker 3: ownership that you were not to talk about Curtis Leewell
- 8:30Speaker 3: when he was running for mayor. In fact, you were
- 8:32Speaker 3: not to interview Curtis Lee were back in twenty twenty one,
- 8:35Speaker 3: there was.
- 8:35Speaker 4: A big sign in the newsroom. Yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 3: I mean, let's just say there was no excuse for that.
- 8:45Speaker 3: And I wasn't supported by anybody. They were at WABC
- 8:48Speaker 3: running for mayor. Although they weren't insulting, they weren't personally
- 8:53Speaker 3: attacking me. The owner and operator, John Katchimatidis was supporting
- 8:58Speaker 3: Eric Adams. Everyone was under the impress that he was
- 9:00Speaker 3: supporting me because he would say, oh, with family here, Curtis,
- 9:04Speaker 3: he knows more about the city than everyone else, and
- 9:08Speaker 3: let's face it, that's true. Whether you like my politics
- 9:10Speaker 3: or not, whether you like my style or not. There's
- 9:13Speaker 3: nobody who knows more about the City of New York
- 9:15Speaker 3: to me. But as it goes from twenty twenty one
- 9:22Speaker 3: to twenty twenty five, the drum beat for me to
- 9:25Speaker 3: drop out, and boy was a steady trump beat from June.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Excuse me, make that.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Just about July fourth, on our nation's birthday.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I remember, I was in Travis Staten Island, as I
- 9:39Speaker 3: am every year with the Guardian Angels, the longest running
- 9:42Speaker 3: Fourth of July parade in the nation. Eric Adams was
- 9:46Speaker 3: out there because he had been reborn, resurrected with the
- 9:51Speaker 3: failure of Andrew Cuomo, who threw in the tow when
- 9:57Speaker 3: losing convincingly to zor Modi. Just give you an idea.
- 10:01Speaker 3: On March first, when Andrew Cuomo announced that he was
- 10:04Speaker 3: running for Maya for the Democratic nomination, he was clocking
- 10:08Speaker 3: at forty percent in the polls. Zorhan Mondomi was dead
- 10:11Speaker 3: last in the Democratic primary at one percent. By June
- 10:15Speaker 3: twenty fourth, Zoron Mondami had beat him by thirteen percent
- 10:19Speaker 3: because Andrew Cuomo mailed it in, didn't run any kind
- 10:23Speaker 3: of a campaign, and so they resurrected Eric Adams, who
- 10:27Speaker 3: chose not to run. And this guy, right out of
- 10:31Speaker 3: the box, brought all the crooks back into the house
- 10:34Speaker 3: of Eric Adams and they were getting windyed in pocket
- 10:37Speaker 3: lined by the real estate interests. And he crashed and
- 10:40Speaker 3: burned and dropped out in September. And then boy did
- 10:44Speaker 3: they ratchet it up. The masters of the universe, the billionaires.
- 10:50Speaker 3: John Casimatidis, owner and operator, who was the the maestro
- 10:55Speaker 3: of the orchestra that was constantly banging a drum that
- 10:58Speaker 3: critically had to drop.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Out, to drop out for the good of the city.
- 11:02Speaker 3: And I remember he was saying, Oh, I'm gonna leave,
- 11:04Speaker 3: I'm gonna sell my businesses. I'm down in Florida. The
- 11:10Speaker 3: moment Johan Mandami was announced the winner on November fourth,
- 11:14Speaker 3: all of a sudden he would saying, oh, we got
- 11:15Speaker 3: to work with the mayor.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Oh for the good of the city.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Because these billionaires, along with Ackman and others, made it
- 11:23Speaker 3: seem like they would be fear fright, hysteria, and all
- 11:27Speaker 3: they did was hype that every day. But you see,
- 11:29Speaker 3: they always back channel, They always have a back door.
- 11:32Speaker 3: They always have a way to survive, whereas the working
- 11:36Speaker 3: class people that I represented in this election, because of
- 11:39Speaker 3: the fear in the fright, they had no options.
- 11:43Speaker 4: So it was an.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Election cycle dominated by the masters of the universe. Donald Trump,
- 11:49Speaker 3: the President, was no friend of mine. He went out
- 11:51Speaker 3: of his way to disparage me on a regular basis.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Talked about was Curtis a Republican?
- 11:57Speaker 4: Is he is?
- 11:58Speaker 5: He?
- 11:58Speaker 4: Really?
- 11:58Speaker 3: Is he ready for prime time? And what about all
- 12:00Speaker 3: those cats he and his wife Nancy have rescued and
- 12:06Speaker 3: kept from being euthanized in shelters. So many people out
- 12:10Speaker 3: there who do that for dogs and cats. He disparaged,
- 12:13Speaker 3: Really a nation of dog and cat lovers, But he
- 12:17Speaker 3: went out of his way to disparage me, along with
- 12:20Speaker 3: Elon Musk and Steve Miller and so many of the
- 12:23Speaker 3: other masters of the universe and the billionaires that he
- 12:26Speaker 3: came down in the last few weeks with twenty million
- 12:30Speaker 3: dollars spent in advertising.
- 12:32Speaker 4: The word was a vote for sliwa is a vote for.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Zoran Mandami, vote for Andrew evilized Coomo, a guy responsible
- 12:41Speaker 3: for the deaths of fifteen thousand elderly people at the
- 12:44Speaker 3: height of the pandemic, and the lockdown, and a man
- 12:48Speaker 3: was still paying his victims for sexual harassment, thirteen of
- 12:53Speaker 3: them who worked for him, including a female state trooper,
- 12:57Speaker 3: and the bill will probably get up to sixty million dollar.
- 13:00Speaker 3: And once again, you know, whenever you speak to Eric Adams,
- 13:05Speaker 3: I'm not guilty. I didn't do anything wrong. Andrew Cuomo,
- 13:10Speaker 3: I didn't do anything wrong. Donald Trump, I didn't do
- 13:13Speaker 3: anything wrong. Nobody does anything wrong. I'm somebody who is
- 13:16Speaker 3: a lot different when I do things wrong. When I
- 13:18Speaker 3: mess up, I fess up. And I certainly had a
- 13:20Speaker 3: lot of opportunities in my life to do that. But
- 13:24Speaker 3: this is an opportunity for all of you to be hurt.
- 13:28Speaker 3: In the words my great mentor Bob Grant, who actually
- 13:32Speaker 3: was broadcasting here at w OR on two separate occasions,
- 13:35Speaker 3: which we'll get into later on, feel free to give
- 13:38Speaker 3: me a cause. I welcome back to the airwaves of
- 13:42Speaker 3: New York City and the Tri State area and beyond
- 13:46Speaker 3: one of the most powerful radio stations that have ever
- 13:49Speaker 3: been created in this nation. Woor give a call to
- 13:52Speaker 3: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten. That's eight
- 13:59Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven ten. And there's so
- 14:05Speaker 3: much more to tell you about all my fairweather friends
- 14:09Speaker 3: at WABC, which the acronym has become always blaming Curtis
- 14:14Speaker 3: and always bashing Curtis. You don't want to go anywhere,
- 14:20Speaker 3: Keep it right here at seven ten WOR.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Street Smart Straight Talk. Curtis leewa guest host for Mark
- 14:28Speaker 1: Simone on sevent ten WOO.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I said I would be back, and I'm back.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Your's Julie Curtis Sliwa on WORR Radio, substituting for Mark Simone.
- 14:50Speaker 3: If you're just joining us right now. My wife Nancy
- 14:54Speaker 3: listening as she is going off to celebrate the birthday
- 14:58Speaker 3: of her mother Beth, wish I could have been with her,
- 15:03Speaker 3: but I would not turn down this opportunity, that's for sure.
- 15:08Speaker 4: And on my way here.
- 15:09Speaker 3: This morning, as I was riding on the subways as
- 15:12Speaker 3: I do each and every day, taking the car from
- 15:15Speaker 3: car to car, looking at the homeless, the emotionally disturb
- 15:18Speaker 3: any of them that I know by first name, and
- 15:21Speaker 3: walking down the block, and I know the outgoing mayor
- 15:25Speaker 3: he can't leave fast enough for me. Eric Adams, who
- 15:28Speaker 3: knows what country is in today a taxpayers expense, says
- 15:32Speaker 3: that there are no homeless settlements up in the street.
- 15:36Speaker 4: They were all over the area in Upper Midtown.
- 15:42Speaker 3: And one thing that was normal for me for quite
- 15:45Speaker 3: some time is I joined the morning show with sid
- 15:49Speaker 3: Rosenberg five mornings a week. And I must tell you
- 15:55Speaker 3: that he turned out to be like Tessio from the Godfather.
- 16:01Speaker 3: He was actually setting up meetings with Andrew Cuomo and
- 16:06Speaker 3: backstabbing me all through that campaign. And I remember he
- 16:10Speaker 3: had asked me originally could you come on one morning
- 16:15Speaker 3: a week, then two, three, four five. I loved it.
- 16:17Speaker 3: I love doing it. Do whatever kind of radio that
- 16:20Speaker 3: you want for unsue my veins and arteries. But he
- 16:24Speaker 3: pretended to be a friend, and like so many, turned
- 16:28Speaker 3: out to be a fair with a friend. And I
- 16:30Speaker 3: in that scene in The Godfather where Don Corleone tells Michael,
- 16:36Speaker 3: whoever set up the meeting, that's the trader Tessio sid
- 16:41Speaker 3: Rosenberg paranoid, I would say, low self esteem. And if
- 16:48Speaker 3: Bernard mcgirth, bless his soul, who was his partner, were
- 16:53Speaker 3: alive today, that never would have happened. In fact, I
- 16:56Speaker 3: was listening to Doctor lead him in Great Doctor, Save
- 17:00Speaker 3: so Many. I had stage four prostate cancer almost took
- 17:04Speaker 3: my life, but I remember sitting down with Bernard McGirk
- 17:08Speaker 3: when he was explaining to me his symptoms, and wow,
- 17:12Speaker 3: I knew by then it had metastasized and the last
- 17:15Speaker 3: year of his life.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Horrible way to live.
- 17:19Speaker 3: So that's why, if there's anything that should come out
- 17:21Speaker 3: of this program, men and ladies who are listening, force
- 17:26Speaker 3: your menfolk to get that simple PSA test, a prick
- 17:29Speaker 3: of the finger, that's all. It is, a simple blood test.
- 17:33Speaker 3: It has saved so many lives. It's something that Bernard McGirk,
- 17:37Speaker 3: or an iconic figure in radio for so many years,
- 17:43Speaker 3: as really the wingman for don Imus, who could never
- 17:46Speaker 3: have done what he did in the mornings without Bernard
- 17:49Speaker 3: McGirk in so many ways, probably would have been alive
- 17:52Speaker 3: and well now if he had taken a simple PSA test.
- 17:55Speaker 3: And we're coming towards the Christmas holiday New Year's some
- 18:00Speaker 3: of those rare occasions where family and friends get together,
- 18:03Speaker 3: feel free to get out that word. If you're forty
- 18:06Speaker 3: five or older as a male, you gotta get your
- 18:08Speaker 3: yearly PSA test.
- 18:10Speaker 4: It's a simple prick of the finger. And women, I
- 18:12Speaker 4: give you a.
- 18:13Speaker 3: License to nagman to just be non stop chattering and
- 18:19Speaker 3: nattering away and force them to do the simple thing,
- 18:22Speaker 3: because you would be amazed. The stronger the guy, and
- 18:25Speaker 3: Bernard McGirk was one of the strongest men alive. But
- 18:27Speaker 3: the stronger a guy is, the less likely they want
- 18:31Speaker 3: to go through that process because they feel what the
- 18:33Speaker 3: outcome may be.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Make sure you.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Spread out that word during this holiday gathering of so many.
- 18:42Speaker 3: And then also at WABC, whereas I had to deal
- 18:47Speaker 3: with Tessio in the morning, said Rosenberg, who I'm still
- 18:50Speaker 3: pulling the knives out of my back from him setting
- 18:53Speaker 3: up these meetings with Andrew Como and working on his
- 18:56Speaker 3: behalf every step of the way, like a five dinners
- 19:00Speaker 3: and five lunches with the guy before he ever came
- 19:03Speaker 3: on the radio. And then all of a sudden, WABC
- 19:06Speaker 3: turned into always blaming Curtis for the rise of Jorhan Mandami,
- 19:12Speaker 3: then always broadcasting Cuomo in the last month, and then
- 19:17Speaker 3: to this day, always bashing Curtis. And then there was
- 19:21Speaker 3: Greg Kelly in the afternoon. It's Greg Kelly who knew
- 19:25Speaker 3: his father father, great guy the sun huh. During the primary,
- 19:32Speaker 3: the Democratic primary, he was actually advocating to his listeners
- 19:36Speaker 3: that they support Jorhan Mandami over Andrew Cuomo.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah, him.
- 19:42Speaker 3: And then in the end, through the directions of John Katzimatitis,
- 19:45Speaker 3: the owners and operators and managers at WABC, he spoke
- 19:50Speaker 3: the party line. He said, oh, Curtis is running a
- 19:52Speaker 3: lazy campaign. Yeah, twenty hours a day of a twenty
- 19:55Speaker 3: four hour day, and obviously social networking that was getting
- 20:00Speaker 3: the message out in so many ways. But oh no, no,
- 20:03Speaker 3: Curtis is a lazy campaigner. He doesn't know what he's doing.
- 20:07Speaker 3: And then finally, the worst trader of all, Dominic Carter.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Dominic Carter would not be in radio today if not
- 20:16Speaker 3: for my intervention on his behalf. Without going into great details,
- 20:22Speaker 3: he had problems, like we've all had problems in our life.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I'm not going to get into the nitty gritty, but
- 20:28Speaker 3: he had done something that had basically made him an untouchable.
- 20:35Speaker 3: And I remember I went to the mat with management
- 20:38Speaker 3: and ownership at WABC. I said, look, give Dominic Carter
- 20:41Speaker 3: an opportunity. You know, he knows about New York City.
- 20:45Speaker 3: He had been the voice and the image of New
- 20:52Speaker 3: York one for so many years. Lost his job because
- 20:55Speaker 3: of that problem that I referred to. And then I
- 20:59Speaker 3: schooled him. I took him into what I called the
- 21:03Speaker 3: talk radio boot Camp at WABC because we really didn't
- 21:06Speaker 3: have a program director at that time, so I worked
- 21:09Speaker 3: as sort of the adjunct Oh yeah, have an adjunct
- 21:14Speaker 3: profession in college.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I was the adjunct program director.
- 21:17Speaker 3: There were a number of figures there who were in
- 21:19Speaker 3: the critically with talk radio boot camp, and he listened.
- 21:22Speaker 3: He was a reporter, and I said, you no longer
- 21:24Speaker 3: a reporter, Dominic. He got to be a talk radio shows.
- 21:27Speaker 3: He was the first to consistently cast the spurgeons against
- 21:33Speaker 3: me in this campaign. And it's not about just saying, oh,
- 21:36Speaker 3: I don't think you can win. That's fine. There was
- 21:39Speaker 3: some here at wr who said exactly that, but to
- 21:42Speaker 3: get personal about it, talk about how I wasn't running
- 21:46Speaker 3: a good campaign, talk about problems that I was having
- 21:49Speaker 3: in the campaign, things that he knew nothing about, and
- 21:52Speaker 3: doing it on a regular basis, so.
- 21:56Speaker 4: You should know.
- 21:58Speaker 3: And I just gave you a thumbnail scared of the
- 22:01Speaker 3: problems that I had at WABC. And probably first and
- 22:06Speaker 3: foremost the image that went out during the campaign is
- 22:10Speaker 3: that I was an employee of WABC. I was on
- 22:13Speaker 3: leave from WABC. I was part of the dysfunctional family.
- 22:18Speaker 4: No.
- 22:20Speaker 3: No, when you leave to run for office, you're gone.
- 22:23Speaker 3: You don't get paid, you don't get benefits, you don't
- 22:26Speaker 3: get anything. You're no longer an employee of WABC. But
- 22:30Speaker 3: they created that impression like somehow John Katzimatidis was still
- 22:35Speaker 3: pulling my strings that he could command me to drop out.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Ay, how did that work out? My former colleagues at WABC.
- 22:47Speaker 3: In the next segment, I promise I teased you enough,
- 22:50Speaker 3: We're going to go to the phone calls, our numbers
- 22:53Speaker 3: one eight hundred and three to two, one zero, seven
- 22:56Speaker 3: to ten. We're also going to talk about at least
- 22:59Speaker 3: the phonic he suddenly dropping out. I can give you
- 23:01Speaker 3: all the nitty gritty details of what is another shot
- 23:06Speaker 3: across the bow of a very weakened Republican party in
- 23:09Speaker 3: both New York City and in New York State right
- 23:13Speaker 3: here in my place to be for Mark Simone wor seventen.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Talk Radio with Street Crag.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Literally Curtis Leewa joined sevent ten WR the guest ohs
- 23:26Speaker 1: for Mark Samore.
- 23:32Speaker 6: Oh.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I know that so many are saying, Boy, can I
- 23:37Speaker 3: get what Curtis Lee was saying today in a podcast
- 23:39Speaker 3: because he sounds like Michael Corleone and the Godfather in
- 23:43Speaker 3: that baptism scene in the church where he says I'm
- 23:47Speaker 3: settling all scores. In fact, that church is actually a
- 23:51Speaker 3: Mount Laredo on the south shore of Staten Island.
- 23:54Speaker 4: That's where it was filmed. Amazing place if you've ever
- 23:59Speaker 4: been out there there. But no, no, no, no, no,
- 24:03Speaker 4: no no, I haven't settled all scores, is he My
- 24:07Speaker 4: enemies will die of a thousand cuts. This is just
- 24:12Speaker 4: a little bit of so much more to come.
- 24:15Speaker 3: In fact, Mark Simone was kind enough to allow me
- 24:18Speaker 3: to substitute for him till January two, along with Tom Cutty,
- 24:21Speaker 3: the program director and obviously the big mockers at iHeart.
- 24:26Speaker 3: So you're gonna be listening every day ten to twelve
- 24:31Speaker 3: and you will hear more information that you never got
- 24:36Speaker 3: before about this campaign that we just got through that
- 24:40Speaker 3: made headlines all across the world, and how when all
- 24:44Speaker 3: was said and done, the President of the United States,
- 24:47Speaker 3: Donald Trump was calling him remember Kami Mandami, Remember oh
- 24:51Speaker 3: the COMMI Oh, what a love fest at the White House,
- 24:55Speaker 3: And how he threw at least the phonic right under
- 24:59Speaker 3: the bush.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Well, you're gonna talk all about that in the next hour.
- 25:02Speaker 4: It's part of the reason that she unexpectedly dropped out. Well,
- 25:06Speaker 4: you thought unexpectedly. I kind of figured that was going
- 25:09Speaker 4: to happen. I'll let you know.
- 25:11Speaker 3: But let's go to the phones, as I promised a
- 25:13Speaker 3: while back. First call her up is Rich who's calling
- 25:18Speaker 3: from icelip your turn to be heard here on wor Rich.
- 25:23Speaker 7: Well, Curtis, when they can mock you about the seven
- 25:27Speaker 7: to ten percent of the vote, but when you take seven, ten,
- 25:30Speaker 7: fifteen to twenty percent of their ratings, you'll get the
- 25:34Speaker 7: last one if you put it right up there. Took
- 25:35Speaker 7: a sh I don't know if you're going to get
- 25:38Speaker 7: a show there, you better get a show there.
- 25:40Speaker 4: I don't want.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Anybody to lose their job. But whoever you go against,
- 25:43Speaker 7: you're going to destroy Curtis. You're going to take them,
- 25:45Speaker 7: You're going to take them down.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Uh. Rich, You know my style of radio. I am
- 25:50Speaker 4: old school. I never forgive and I never forget. Oh.
- 25:57Speaker 3: I have a lot that I'm going to be sharing
- 26:01Speaker 3: with all of you over the course of the next
- 26:05Speaker 3: few days till January two and the welcoming in of
- 26:08Speaker 3: the new year. Let's go to Tony, who's calling from
- 26:10Speaker 3: white planes? Your turn to be heard at w or tone?
- 26:14Speaker 6: Yeah, Hi, Curtis. Curtis the biggest backstare row is Dominic Carter.
- 26:20Speaker 6: He's like Salasso. He kept saying from day one he
- 26:25Speaker 6: can't win, he can't win, telling the drop out every day.
- 26:28Speaker 6: You know, you know why he wanted you to lose,
- 26:31Speaker 6: because he said so. He didn't want to prove himself wrong.
- 26:34Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, I even called up and
- 26:36Speaker 6: I don't know if you remember, you were on the
- 26:38Speaker 6: air and I said, if Curtis wins, will you will
- 26:42Speaker 6: you apologize to Curtis? And you said no, he don't
- 26:45Speaker 6: have to apologize. But he kept saying from day one
- 26:49Speaker 6: that you can't win, you got to drop out. He's
- 26:52Speaker 6: the reason why we've got Zoran. And then then he
- 26:56Speaker 6: gets down the air and he lies and he says
- 26:59Speaker 6: that if you dropped out, that Cromo were one who's
- 27:04Speaker 6: like if he I can't believe they even thought of
- 27:07Speaker 6: him being.
- 27:08Speaker 3: A mayor after it, well, I got to tell you
- 27:11Speaker 3: that point you made, Tony to all of those naysayers
- 27:14Speaker 3: out there who maybe graduated school from social promotion and
- 27:20Speaker 3: need remedial training in mathematics. If you had taken every
- 27:24Speaker 3: vote that I got in this election and it had
- 27:26Speaker 3: gone to Andrew evilized Croomo, he still would have lost.
- 27:30Speaker 6: Curtis, That's exactly what I was going to tell you.
- 27:32Speaker 6: He got on the air and was saying that, like,
- 27:35Speaker 6: if you dropped out, that Clomo would have won with it.
- 27:38Speaker 6: So he's they're assuming that everybody that voted for you
- 27:43Speaker 6: would turned around and vote for Clomo. That was idiot.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Well it goes beyond that, Tony. It goes to the
- 27:49Speaker 3: fact that when Cromo was first running on March first
- 27:54Speaker 3: of twenty twenty four, whether it was Dominic Carter or
- 27:57Speaker 3: whether it was Tessio, said Rosenberg told they were saying, Curtis,
- 28:04Speaker 3: why you're knocking yourself out. There's gonna be a coronation.
- 28:07Speaker 3: They all predicted that Cuomo would win in a runaway
- 28:11Speaker 3: victory in the Democratic primary, and they all act as
- 28:15Speaker 3: if they are savants, like they know everything. They know
- 28:17Speaker 3: nothing about nothing. To be honest, they're not out in
- 28:20Speaker 3: the streets. They didn't watch the Zoronistas in all five boroughs,
- 28:25Speaker 3: in all the neighborhoods like I did, because I'm in
- 28:28Speaker 3: all the three hundred and fifty neighborhoods. I'm in every
- 28:30Speaker 3: subway station, on every subway line. I could see the energy,
- 28:34Speaker 3: I could see the passion. There was nothing for Cuomo,
- 28:37Speaker 3: and yet they pretended as if he would suddenly be victorious.
- 28:45Speaker 4: How did that work out? Uh? How come you didn't
- 28:47Speaker 4: all move away? How you after moment I'm selling? Oh, yeah, yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 4: they're all here. They're in.
- 28:55Speaker 3: What my grandfather Fidelo Bianchino used to say from about
- 28:58Speaker 3: the Italy Kiakia Pinocchio's let's go if we can. To Lily,
- 29:05Speaker 3: who was calling from Queen's your turn to be heard
- 29:07Speaker 3: here at WR.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Lily, Hi, Curtis, you made my Christmas gift, Curtis, and
- 29:14Speaker 5: I'll never put on ABC. Oh. I'd loved that for years,
- 29:20Speaker 5: but with what they did to you and Cindy Adams especially,
- 29:24Speaker 5: forget it, Curtis client issue something. I bought that Tony
- 29:28Speaker 5: Bennett book and Howard Beach at your campaign office, and
- 29:34Speaker 5: I wonder if you got it.
- 29:37Speaker 4: I got it. I got it. They were great to
- 29:41Speaker 4: Howard Beach.
- 29:42Speaker 3: I mean it was right up in fact, was right
- 29:45Speaker 3: up from Newpark Peacheria. I love Newpark Pecheria. That's why
- 29:49Speaker 3: I had my first slice of peacha. Also in nineteen
- 29:51Speaker 3: fifty nine, when visiting my aunt Mary and uncle Steven,
- 29:55Speaker 3: cousin Butchie.
- 29:57Speaker 4: And Joey g the chief from Howard Each nineteen fifty nine,
- 30:02Speaker 4: my first life of pizza was said New Park Pizzeria,
- 30:05Speaker 4: and I've been going there ever since. Don't worry about it, Lily.
- 30:09Speaker 4: You don't need to.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Listen to WABC. They've lost so many listeners. They're down
- 30:14Speaker 3: in the ratings. Just keep it right here to seven
- 30:16Speaker 3: to ten, Worr. It's your new home away from home.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Like for me, it's part of my radio listening familia.
- 30:26Speaker 3: Now this is my family. WABC stabbed me in the back,
- 30:33Speaker 3: like they did all the listeners. Don't listen to them.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Keep it right here at seven to ten WOR.
- 30:38Speaker 1: The Beret is back Curtis leewa guest host The Mark
- 30:42Speaker 1: Simone Show on seven ten woo.
- 30:48Speaker 2: Oh.
- 30:48Speaker 4: And you don't want to go anywhere.
- 30:50Speaker 3: He unexpected dropping out of the least Stephonic who would
- 30:55Speaker 3: have been a great governor here in the state of
- 30:57Speaker 3: New York. And nobody knows that situation better than yours, truly. Nope,
- 31:03Speaker 3: And I'll tell you why Aleis Stephonic was my biggest
- 31:07Speaker 3: supporter during this mayoral campaign. She was loyal with the
- 31:12Speaker 3: capital l She never vacillated, and she is a woman
- 31:16Speaker 3: of great character. And more importantly, in the two debates
- 31:22Speaker 3: that I had and running for mayor, if I had
- 31:24Speaker 3: to throw a lifeline at somebody that say I need
- 31:26Speaker 3: you to substitute.
- 31:27Speaker 4: For me, I would have wanted at least Stephonic up there.
- 31:30Speaker 3: She has eviscerated the presidents of Ivy League universities. She
- 31:37Speaker 3: eviscerated Andrew evilized Cuomo up on the hell in Congress,
- 31:41Speaker 3: she eviscerated Kathy Grifter Hockel, who couldn't even remember who
- 31:50Speaker 3: the migrant killers were. Of all the victims in New
- 31:53Speaker 3: York State, including Dobrina Kwam, who I will eulogize in
- 31:59Speaker 3: the next hour because from here Wor I will be
- 32:02Speaker 3: heading out to the f train platform in Coney Island.
- 32:07Speaker 3: We're on this date a year ago, at seven point
- 32:10Speaker 3: thirty in the morning, this monster set her on fire
- 32:15Speaker 3: like a human torch. The cops ran up and down
- 32:17Speaker 3: on the platform like the Keystone Cops.
- 32:20Speaker 4: People were filming it so it could be live at five.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Nobody helped this homeless woman from Tom's Riven, New Jersey.
- 32:29Speaker 4: It's quite a story. I am the Guardian Angels. We
- 32:32Speaker 4: will not forget. Unfortunately so many people did.
- 32:38Speaker 3: And I remember that moment when Congressman Elise Stefanic was
- 32:43Speaker 3: cross examining Kathy Hoklunn said, tell me the.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Name of the person who set Debrin and Kuam on fire.
- 32:55Speaker 4: She didn't know, like she didn't know any of.
- 32:57Speaker 3: The other migrant names. You're not gonna I want to
- 33:00Speaker 3: miss this, ladies and gentlemen, because everyone is in shock
- 33:04Speaker 3: that Elis Stephonic is no longer running to become governor
- 33:08Speaker 3: or the state of New York to save us. And
- 33:11Speaker 3: there is a reason, and I trace it to President
- 33:17Speaker 3: Donald Trump. Oh yeah, oh yeah, threw her right under
- 33:21Speaker 3: the bus, and that woman was not going to take it.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Are you going anywhere? Keep it right here at seventen Wor.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Now the Red Beret has returned to radio. Curtis leewa
- 33:35Speaker 1: guest host the Mark Simone Show on sevent tenor.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Doesn't get any better than this, beyond this iconic radio
- 33:52Speaker 3: station where the call letters the only place I know
- 33:56Speaker 3: of in America, and I've been on most stations from
- 33:59Speaker 3: time to time.
- 34:00Speaker 4: It's only three letters wo r.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Oh.
- 34:05Speaker 3: And I remember the time that I had to carry
- 34:09Speaker 3: all the items from Bob Grant to King of Talk
- 34:12Speaker 3: Radio from the studios of WABC, where he had been
- 34:15Speaker 3: fired by Bob Iger of Disney. When Disney owned WABC
- 34:20Speaker 3: and other talk radio stations, why would they be in
- 34:22Speaker 3: the talk radio business.
- 34:24Speaker 4: It's controversial, but they were.
- 34:27Speaker 3: And nobody would help Bob Grant, who had helped so
- 34:31Speaker 3: many people at WABC. Nobody could touch Bob Grant, and
- 34:36Speaker 3: so I said, I'll bring it over, and I took
- 34:40Speaker 3: some of the hand trucks. I made trips back and
- 34:43Speaker 3: forth from WABC, which was the seventeenth floor to two
- 34:47Speaker 3: Penn Plaza right by Madison Square Garden up to fourteen
- 34:50Speaker 3: forty Broadway.
- 34:51Speaker 4: And everybody was amazed that I would do that. They say,
- 34:54Speaker 4: you know, if Bob Iger he is about this, he'll
- 34:57Speaker 4: fire you. You know what we're I gave in his direction?
- 35:02Speaker 4: So are you kidding? Are you kidding for this?
- 35:05Speaker 3: A guy who put us on the map WABC, A
- 35:08Speaker 3: Bob Grinner, by the way, just a little bit of
- 35:11Speaker 3: information in the past. In nineteen seventy seven, Barry Farber
- 35:16Speaker 3: the great Barry Farber, no longer with us, was the
- 35:19Speaker 3: overnight host here at wo R. He had just run
- 35:24Speaker 3: against Bella Abzick for Congress and had lost as a
- 35:27Speaker 3: Conservative Republican, and then he decided he was going to
- 35:31Speaker 3: run for mayor, as obviously I have twice, and in
- 35:36Speaker 3: nineteen seventy seven he was running against Ed Koch. Mario Como,
- 35:43Speaker 3: by the way, Andrew, I knew your father, Mario. You
- 35:47Speaker 3: know Mario Cmo. He was on the Liberal party line.
- 35:51Speaker 3: There was Barry Farber on the conservative line, and Roy Goodman,
- 35:55Speaker 3: who was the Republican state Senator of the Upper east Side,
- 35:58Speaker 3: the heir to the exit Lacks fortune. He was a
- 36:01Speaker 3: Rockefeller Liberal Republican. They had twelve debates. Gabe Pressman was
- 36:07Speaker 3: the moderated twelve debates, and it was a catch who won.
- 36:13Speaker 3: I think Barry Farber got four percent and Roy Goodman
- 36:16Speaker 3: got about four percent. It was Koch and Mario Ocomo
- 36:19Speaker 3: who split the rest of the votes. But it was
- 36:22Speaker 3: a great race to follow. So Barry Farber had left.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Bob Grant was the overnight host at war that I
- 36:32Speaker 3: listened to, and then later on he was to return
- 36:35Speaker 3: to WOR as I had mentioned when being fired by
- 36:38Speaker 3: Bob Igar of Disney, and I had a substitute for
- 36:43Speaker 3: him for the first month. Uh, those fax machines didn't stop,
- 36:50Speaker 3: you know, it was like NonStop back then.
- 36:52Speaker 4: The fax machine would run, you, Trader, why you there?
- 36:57Speaker 4: Bob Grant is your mentor. You wouldn't be on tour
- 37:00Speaker 4: Cradio WABC without him. I said, exactly right, but this
- 37:04Speaker 4: is the business we have chosen.
- 37:08Speaker 3: And if I got fired, Bob Grant would say, why,
- 37:11Speaker 3: I hope he lands on his feet, and I knew
- 37:14Speaker 3: he would. Those fax machines kept running twenty four seven,
- 37:18Speaker 3: three six y five for like three straight weeks with
- 37:21Speaker 3: the most vile invectives that people could scratch out and
- 37:25Speaker 3: write out. And then of course there was Barry Gray
- 37:30Speaker 3: mid mornings. But I remember the personal situation involving Barry Gray,
- 37:35Speaker 3: who was missed the Second Amendment. Tough guy, but also
- 37:38Speaker 3: he was the leader of those that wanted to remove
- 37:44Speaker 3: the horse drawn carriages from Central Park, which I and
- 37:47Speaker 3: my wife Nancy were in favor of, and so many others.
- 37:50Speaker 4: He was ahead of his time. On the morning.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Of June nineteenth, nineteen ninety two, on my way to
- 37:57Speaker 3: WABC to do the morning show Angels and the Morning
- 38:00Speaker 3: with my wife at the time, Lisa, now Lisa Ever's
- 38:03Speaker 3: over at Channel five. I was shot five times with
- 38:07Speaker 3: hollow point bullets on the orders of John Gotty Senior
- 38:09Speaker 3: to John Gotti Junior and the Gambino crime family. The
- 38:13Speaker 3: guy Michael Ianatti was the guy who shot me five times.
- 38:17Speaker 4: He did twenty years for that.
- 38:20Speaker 3: But the interesting thing is, since I was being rushed
- 38:24Speaker 3: to Bellevue Hospital, they didn't know if I would live
- 38:26Speaker 3: or die. Lisa was on her way there, and my
- 38:30Speaker 3: producer at that time, Mike Thompson, took over the show.
- 38:34Speaker 4: And the first person to call.
- 38:36Speaker 3: In that morning was Barry Gray, who had just finished
- 38:40Speaker 3: the overnight, said w Orr, concerned about what had happened
- 38:44Speaker 3: to me. Weeks later, when I came back on the air,
- 38:47Speaker 3: the first caller into the show.
- 38:51Speaker 4: Was Arry Gray.
- 38:53Speaker 3: I mean, these are the men and in some cases
- 38:59Speaker 3: women like had men. Arlene Francis Lynn Samuels over at WABC.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Eclectic as she was.
- 39:06Speaker 3: They paved the way for all of us in talk radio,
- 39:10Speaker 3: and I will always honor that tradition because without them,
- 39:15Speaker 3: there would be no talk radio as we know. It
- 39:17Speaker 3: now or podcasts or all the other affiliated ways that
- 39:22Speaker 3: you can get your news, your information, your talk.
- 39:25Speaker 4: And remember, above any and all things, this is entertainment
- 39:31Speaker 4: because if it's not entertaining, you're not going to be listening.
- 39:34Speaker 3: I guarantee. But this is my homage to Wor because
- 39:39Speaker 3: I've listened to wr In fact, does anybody know is he?
- 39:43Speaker 3: Where's Eric Adams today? What country is he in? His
- 39:46Speaker 3: tax payers expense? A man who got windined in pocket line,
- 39:50Speaker 3: the Swagerman with No Plan. There was a crooked mayor
- 39:54Speaker 3: many years ago. Bob Hope actually played him in the movie.
- 39:59Speaker 3: You should get that movie. It's absolutely incredible. Bob Hope
- 40:03Speaker 3: did a magnificent job playing the Swagerman with No Plan.
- 40:07Speaker 3: At that time with the Flappers during the time of
- 40:10Speaker 3: Speakeasy's Jimmy Walker, he had, like Eric Adams, about fifty
- 40:15Speaker 3: customized suits, and he had ladies galore. And FDR was
- 40:21Speaker 3: the governor who wanted to run for president on the
- 40:24Speaker 3: Democratic line, and he knew he had a problem because
- 40:26Speaker 3: Jimmy Walker was so hopelessly corrupt with the guidance of
- 40:31Speaker 3: Tammany Hall. And so he tells Jimmy Walker, you know
- 40:36Speaker 3: I'm going to have to use the power of the
- 40:37Speaker 3: governorship and fire you, which a governor can do. Governor
- 40:41Speaker 3: can fire the mayor, and Jimmy Walker understanding that his
- 40:46Speaker 3: days were numbered and that FDR needed to get Jimmy
- 40:49Speaker 3: Walker out of here so he could run for president
- 40:51Speaker 3: without having to also explain how that kind of corruption
- 40:56Speaker 3: could exist while FDR was the governor.
- 40:59Speaker 4: You know what Jimmy.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Walking did is he he took an ocean liner with
- 41:03Speaker 3: one of his gumadas, one of his many females, went
- 41:06Speaker 3: to Paris, who lived there for about ten years, came
- 41:10Speaker 3: back in the early forties, and you know what his
- 41:13Speaker 3: first job back was a talk show host here at WR.
- 41:20Speaker 3: You see, when you listen to me, you're gonna learn stuff.
- 41:23Speaker 3: You're gonna hear things that you probably wouldn't have heard
- 41:27Speaker 3: from other than March Simone himself, who knows more about
- 41:30Speaker 3: radio than any other person alive. Just to give you
- 41:32Speaker 3: an idea, I sat with March Simon early on in
- 41:35Speaker 3: the campaign, after I had announced for the Republican nomination
- 41:39Speaker 3: with my very dear friend Paul Carlucci aka Johnny Legit
- 41:43Speaker 3: at Nicolas. For three hours we sat there. They were
- 41:46Speaker 3: gonna give me advice politically. We spoke for two and
- 41:49Speaker 3: a half hours about radio. That's all we talked about.
- 41:53Speaker 3: That's the love that Marc Simone has for radio. Paul Carlucci,
- 41:57Speaker 3: who at the time was the publisher of The New
- 42:00Speaker 3: York Post, now actually he had already left that position,
- 42:03Speaker 3: he had retired, and yours truly imagine two and a
- 42:06Speaker 3: half hours all we talked about was radio. All we
- 42:09Speaker 3: talked to because that when you love radio, like so
- 42:12Speaker 3: many of you do, who listen to it morning, noon
- 42:15Speaker 3: and night, you understand what's good talk radio, and you
- 42:20Speaker 3: understand what's bad talk radio. I need you all to
- 42:23Speaker 3: do me a favor, though, when I run into you
- 42:25Speaker 3: in the streets, which I do quite often, so many
- 42:28Speaker 3: people in so many places, do not, Please, do not treat.
- 42:31Speaker 4: Me like a gabon.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Do not tell me, oh, I voted for you, because
- 42:37Speaker 3: so far since the end of the campaign and the
- 42:40Speaker 3: announcement of the results that Zarroon Mandami would be sworn
- 42:43Speaker 3: in as mayor on January first of this year, everybody
- 42:46Speaker 3: comes up to me and says, I voted for you,
- 42:49Speaker 3: and then, being the Weisenheimer than I am, I do
- 42:52Speaker 3: a pivot in shift and I say, oh really, Oh yeah,
- 42:56Speaker 3: my family voted for you too. Where you from I'm
- 42:58Speaker 3: from Scarsdale.
- 43:00Speaker 4: I'd to do that. He couldn't vote for mayor.
- 43:03Speaker 3: So don't tell me you voted for me, because I
- 43:06Speaker 3: will have to end up embarrassing you sometimes in front
- 43:11Speaker 3: of family and friends, because you're trying to pull my
- 43:15Speaker 3: chain and chew my shorts.
- 43:17Speaker 4: Don't do that.
- 43:18Speaker 3: If I had gotten every vote that people claimed that
- 43:21Speaker 3: they had cast on my behalf, I would have been
- 43:24Speaker 3: the mayor of the City of New York. So please, now,
- 43:29Speaker 3: let's get to the other key subject today. Give you
- 43:32Speaker 3: a little background information on what was a terrible loss
- 43:37Speaker 3: for the Republican Party nationally, the Republican Party in the
- 43:42Speaker 3: state of New York, and the Republican Party in the
- 43:44Speaker 3: City of New York, where we are extraordinarily weak. It says,
- 43:48Speaker 3: if we had been exposed to kryptonite by mostly Republicans,
- 43:55Speaker 3: never mind the Democrats, by mostly Republicans, they go out
- 43:58Speaker 3: of their way to damage the brand and to damage
- 44:02Speaker 3: their candidates.
- 44:03Speaker 4: You certainly saw that with me. Oh, vote for Aslee
- 44:07Speaker 4: was a vote for Zoran. Vote for Cromo.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Yeah, Cromo, who did that President Donald Trump, who did that?
- 44:15Speaker 3: Elon Musk, who did that? The billionaires, the masters of
- 44:18Speaker 3: the universe spent twenty million dollars doing that in the
- 44:21Speaker 3: final weeks of the campaign. But put me aside. We
- 44:28Speaker 3: had a star in the Republican Party who could touch
- 44:33Speaker 3: at least Stephanic. Do you not remember when she was
- 44:41Speaker 3: cross examining the presidents of the Ivy League schools?
- 44:44Speaker 4: Do you not remember?
- 44:46Speaker 8: You know?
- 44:47Speaker 3: It was two years ago, December, two years ago, one
- 44:51Speaker 3: by one.
- 44:53Speaker 4: First there was the Harvard president, Claudine Gay. She knocked
- 44:58Speaker 4: her out. Ding Gay resigned after being crush examined by
- 45:03Speaker 4: Elis Stefanic. Number two was Elizabeth Magill University of Pennsylvania.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Knocked her out. She resigned right after that interrogation by
- 45:16Speaker 3: Elis Stephonic.
- 45:17Speaker 4: The only one who suffered a TKO at the hands
- 45:21Speaker 4: of Elis Stephonic was Sally Cornbluff of MIT. She somehow
- 45:26Speaker 4: held on. And what was it about? It was simple.
- 45:31Speaker 3: All that Elis Stephonic asked them is would you call
- 45:38Speaker 3: would you suggest that calling for genocide of Jews violated
- 45:44Speaker 3: the code of conduct at your university? And they all
- 45:48Speaker 3: did the chicken dance and said, well, depends.
- 45:51Speaker 4: On whether you're this was amazing.
- 45:57Speaker 3: It depends on whether you're speech crossed into action. After that,
- 46:05Speaker 3: they were dead on arrival.
- 46:07Speaker 4: But that was the first of many cross examinations to.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Come from one everyone realized was the star of the
- 46:16Speaker 3: Republican Party. Tough, smart, young, think she's a millennial, who
- 46:22Speaker 3: think she's like forty or forty one, gave up a
- 46:27Speaker 3: prestigious position as the US ambassador to the United Nations.
- 46:34Speaker 3: She would have been a clone of Jeane Kirkpatrick.
- 46:38Speaker 4: Oh, we have a lot to talk about, because there
- 46:40Speaker 4: were so many other situations that were taking place behind
- 46:43Speaker 4: the scenes that none of you are aware of.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Why oh, why you saying to yourself. Would at least
- 46:48Speaker 3: stephonic have dropped out on this late Friday in an
- 46:53Speaker 3: election she had a real chance to win and really
- 46:57Speaker 3: the only person who could have totally turned this state around.
- 47:01Speaker 4: They're not going anywhere. You're going to keep it right
- 47:03Speaker 4: here on the dial.
- 47:04Speaker 3: If you're just discovering seven to ten WOORR, this is
- 47:08Speaker 3: your place to be. Forget WABC always bashing Curtis and
- 47:14Speaker 3: by the way, sinking in the ratings. Nobody giving them
- 47:18Speaker 3: the kind of attention that they were used to. But
- 47:22Speaker 3: thank you iHeart, thank you Tom Cuddy, thank you WR
- 47:25Speaker 3: for extending me this microphone till January second, because I
- 47:29Speaker 3: am going to be blazing and I'm gonna be glazing
- 47:33Speaker 3: some and I think is he most people would want
- 47:37Speaker 3: to be glazed by Curtis Sleewer. They would not want
- 47:40Speaker 3: to be put on blast, as you've heard some of
- 47:44Speaker 3: the people earlier today right here on your New Place
- 47:47Speaker 3: to Be seven ten wor the.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Pulse of New York Now on the Voice of New
- 47:54Speaker 1: York Curtis Sleewald, guess hos for Marx them on seven
- 47:59Speaker 1: ten double.
- 48:03Speaker 3: At the station that I listened to now seven ten wooh.
- 48:08Speaker 3: You don't need to be over at WABC. Don't waste
- 48:10Speaker 3: your time, just keep it right here. In fact, it's
- 48:14Speaker 3: soon your turn to be heard in this hour. If
- 48:17Speaker 3: you call eight hundred three two one zero seven ten,
- 48:22Speaker 3: that's eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten.
- 48:26Speaker 3: We're talking about Alista Phonic, star of the Republican Party,
- 48:32Speaker 3: dropping out unexpected to sum on Friday, not to me.
- 48:38Speaker 3: She was my most loyal supporter during the mayoral campaign.
- 48:44Speaker 3: I can remember we were at the Union League Club.
- 48:49Speaker 3: Was in the summer and she was speaking to a
- 48:52Speaker 3: group of people and she called me up from the
- 48:54Speaker 3: audience and she gave me the microphone. Midway through her speech,
- 48:58Speaker 3: she said, this is the guy that I'm supporting for
- 49:00Speaker 3: Maya Curtis Lee and nobody else. And don't ever, don't
- 49:04Speaker 3: ever say he should be dropping out. He's the Republican candidate.
- 49:07Speaker 3: I said to elist, you really want to give me
- 49:09Speaker 3: the microphone, You may never get it back. She said,
- 49:14Speaker 3: go for it. She remained loyal. She was a woman,
- 49:19Speaker 3: a character, and you may have remembered in September twenty
- 49:23Speaker 3: twenty four the performance up on the Hill when she
- 49:26Speaker 3: eviscerated Andrew evilized Cromo at that Coronavirus Committee hearing in
- 49:32Speaker 3: which she said, you will never be elected to anything
- 49:36Speaker 3: ever again. And boy, has she been so right on that.
- 49:41Speaker 3: And let's not forget all the other appearances she made
- 49:45Speaker 3: at the behest of the Republican Party for a very
- 49:49Speaker 3: weak Speaker of the House Johnson, who is having problems
- 49:53Speaker 3: with female members. That's become quite apparent. And she gave
- 49:57Speaker 3: up the prize. She was announced to be our next
- 50:03Speaker 3: UN Ambassador United States UN Ambassador Boy Shades of Jeane Kirkpatrick,
- 50:10Speaker 3: shades of Adleist Stevenson. The cameras would have been there
- 50:14Speaker 3: every time it would have been indicated that at least
- 50:17Speaker 3: Aphonic in the General Assembly or before the Security Council
- 50:21Speaker 3: was speaking on behalf of our nation. But because she
- 50:26Speaker 3: is the ultimate team player, she gave up that position
- 50:30Speaker 3: so she could come back and be the deciding vote
- 50:33Speaker 3: for President Donald Trump's legislation. He needed that vote because
- 50:39Speaker 3: the margin in the House was so slim, and it
- 50:42Speaker 3: was anticipated that that favor would be returned to her
- 50:47Speaker 3: at some point.
- 50:49Speaker 4: And then when she announced that she was running for
- 50:51Speaker 4: the governorship on the Republican line, so many Republicans, myself included,
- 50:57Speaker 4: was so happy.
- 50:58Speaker 3: You got a superstar here. Fundraising machine. She had twelve
- 51:02Speaker 3: million dollars that she had already raised. And the President
- 51:07Speaker 3: Donald Trump realized that he had to clear out any
- 51:12Speaker 3: competition in a primary, so he convinced Congressman Mike Lawler
- 51:16Speaker 3: to bow out, and he did so, and he cleared
- 51:19Speaker 3: the field. But then things began to go arrived. I'll
- 51:25Speaker 3: never forget this state for me. It was a day
- 51:27Speaker 3: in infamy. November twenty one.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Zoran Mandami has been invited to come to the White House.
- 51:33Speaker 4: Four months.
- 51:34Speaker 3: President Donald Trump had been calling him the Kami. Mandami
- 51:40Speaker 3: had cast all kinds of aspersions, talked about how he
- 51:44Speaker 3: would move in, he would run the city of New York.
- 51:47Speaker 3: He would not give him an opportunity. In fact, he
- 51:50Speaker 3: was with whole federal funds. If the voters elected Joran Mondami,
- 51:54Speaker 3: that was a mistake because that just strengthened Jorhan Mandami
- 51:58Speaker 3: because it was now David versus Kala Zoron MONDAMMI didn't
- 52:01Speaker 3: have to campaign against Eric Adams, didn't have to campaign
- 52:04Speaker 3: against Andrew Cuomo, didn't have to campaign against me. He
- 52:07Speaker 3: could campaign against Donald Trump, who couldn't keep himself out
- 52:11Speaker 3: of the race.
- 52:14Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, it's love fest at
- 52:16Speaker 4: the White House. It was sort of like Barney talk.
- 52:19Speaker 4: I love you, you love me.
- 52:21Speaker 3: I tell you all the times that I watched Barney
- 52:23Speaker 3: that cartoon with my sons growing up. I wanted to
- 52:26Speaker 3: pull a forty four magnum mountain blow Barney away on
- 52:29Speaker 3: the TV. I hated Barney with a passion, and there
- 52:32Speaker 3: it was Barney talk. Oh, Zorn, you want to call
- 52:34Speaker 3: me a fascist, go ahead, You're gonna be a great mayor.
- 52:39Speaker 4: In fact, you may be the best mayor ever.
- 52:41Speaker 3: And then, all of a sudden, towards the end of
- 52:43Speaker 3: the one hour sit down the love fest that President
- 52:47Speaker 3: Donald Trump had doing Barney Talk with Johan Mondami, a
- 52:52Speaker 3: reporter asked, mister President, do you agree with Congresswoman Elistefanik
- 52:57Speaker 3: who calls Zorhan I'm the ag hottest? In fact, they
- 53:03Speaker 3: think her nickname was the Gehti souran Oran?
- 53:06Speaker 4: Does she hot?
- 53:08Speaker 3: And he could have sidestep that, he did not. He's
- 53:12Speaker 3: very good at side stepping questions and ignoring questions, but no, no,
- 53:16Speaker 3: on this one. He threw at least the fonic under
- 53:18Speaker 3: the bus. He goes, I disagree with her. In fact,
- 53:21Speaker 3: he'll probably turn out to be the greatest mayor of
- 53:24Speaker 3: New York City. He's a very reasonable guy. Hey, you
- 53:27Speaker 3: want to call me fascist again, go ahead, Zorn, throw
- 53:31Speaker 3: it right under the bus. Okay, that was bad, but
- 53:38Speaker 3: the worst was just about ten days ago. He was
- 53:43Speaker 3: asked at the White House, you know, your friend Ruce Blakeman,
- 53:46Speaker 3: who just won reelection as a Nassau County executive as
- 53:49Speaker 3: a Republican, says he wants to run for the Republican nomination.
- 53:54Speaker 3: What do you make of it? Oh, I like Elise,
- 53:56Speaker 3: I like Bruce Blakeman. He never bothered to try to
- 54:01Speaker 3: convince Bruce Blakeman not to run. There's no doubt that's
- 54:06Speaker 3: why Alis Stefani dropped out. Could you have been any
- 54:10Speaker 3: more loyal and a team player than Elise Stephonic The
- 54:16Speaker 3: answer is no. In fact, you know what the campaign
- 54:20Speaker 3: would have been if she went into the primary. I
- 54:22Speaker 3: guarantee you somewhere along the line, a vote for Elise
- 54:25Speaker 3: Staphonic is a vote for Kathy Hocal, vote for Bruce Blakeman.
- 54:29Speaker 3: I guarantee you that. And so now she'll serve out
- 54:34Speaker 3: her term in the House. She will not run for reelection.
- 54:38Speaker 3: She s dropped out. So although she wasn't asked to
- 54:42Speaker 3: drop out, wasn't that pretty.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Much the same thing? Come on, ladies and gentlemen, I
- 54:46Speaker 4: know how many of you are.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Come on, we can't say anything bad about President Donald Trump.
- 54:52Speaker 3: This was done on purpose, and the Republican Party, which
- 54:57Speaker 3: is hurting in New York State, is hurting now even more,
- 55:01Speaker 3: and boy has lost a real star in the Republican Party.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Elise Stefanic, when we return your phone calls one eight
- 55:10Speaker 3: hundred and three to two one zero, seven ten, and
- 55:14Speaker 3: your place to be from now on as it is
- 55:16Speaker 3: mine seven ten WR.
- 55:19Speaker 1: The Voice that fights for New York Literally Curtis leewa
- 55:24Speaker 1: guest HOS for Mark Simone on sevent ten WOR.
- 55:30Speaker 3: All right, let's make sure h Wow, those phone lines
- 55:35Speaker 3: are blazing. He is he, But don't be glazing. I
- 55:39Speaker 3: mean when you get on, I don't need to be glazed.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Let's just say what is on your mind. That's what
- 55:47Speaker 3: talk radio is all about. And now you have a
- 55:49Speaker 3: friend of your own, WR seven ten. And if you
- 55:52Speaker 3: listen to anyone else, you don't need to listen to
- 55:55Speaker 3: them anymore. Let's go to Phil, who is calling from Brooklyn.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Your turn to be heard here at WOR seven ten, Phil.
- 56:05Speaker 9: Great Curtis. There's one part of the story that hasn't
- 56:08Speaker 9: been told yet that a lot of people are very
- 56:10Speaker 9: curious about. And that is why didn't the Conservative Party
- 56:15Speaker 9: give you their nomination for mayor after you had been
- 56:18Speaker 9: loyal to them and had such great relations with them
- 56:20Speaker 9: for decades.
- 56:22Speaker 3: Well, to be honest with you, I'm not a conservative.
- 56:26Speaker 3: They are purists. To their credit, you have to agree
- 56:29Speaker 3: with them on all their policy positions. As you have stated, Phil,
- 56:34Speaker 3: I got along with them all the time. I went
- 56:36Speaker 3: to the same events. But you know, Rudy Giuliani didn't
- 56:40Speaker 3: run on the conservative line. He wasn't a conservative, at
- 56:43Speaker 3: least when he was running for mayor of the City
- 56:45Speaker 3: of New York. I've never really been a conservative. I
- 56:48Speaker 3: disagree with them on some subjects, but I respect them.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Let's go if we can to Kevin, who's calling from Putnam?
- 56:57Speaker 4: Your turn to be heard here at seven wo.
- 57:01Speaker 10: R oh, Curtis. Uh, we love you. There's no better
- 57:08Speaker 10: way to say that we love you up in Putnam.
- 57:12Speaker 10: I wish we could have voted for you for other things,
- 57:17Speaker 10: but maybe should consider a run for governor. I don't know.
- 57:21Speaker 10: Call me crazy, but no, no.
- 57:24Speaker 4: No, you're not.
- 57:25Speaker 3: You're not crazy, Kevin. But I am so upset with
- 57:31Speaker 3: my Republican party and I am a Republican.
- 57:33Speaker 4: I'm nothing else. Even though you will hear you know
- 57:37Speaker 4: that detractors at my old place of business, WABC, said
- 57:43Speaker 4: that I was working for Johan Mandami, I was being
- 57:45Speaker 4: paid by to throw the election to him.
- 57:50Speaker 10: I was listening to all of that from w ABC,
- 57:54Speaker 10: and I can tell you the guy you picked out
- 57:56Speaker 10: to be the I won't say it.
- 58:02Speaker 3: Well, I will see you hesitate, but as you know,
- 58:05Speaker 3: I don't have a filter. It starts with the owner operator,
- 58:07Speaker 3: John Katzmatitis. He gave the signal to attack and undercut
- 58:12Speaker 3: courteously when create the image that Zoron Mandami was somehow
- 58:17Speaker 3: paying me off to deprive Andrew Cmo of an opportunity
- 58:22Speaker 3: to destroy the city of New York like he did
- 58:24Speaker 3: the State of New York. And then naturally sid Rosenberg,
- 58:28Speaker 3: Tessio and Greg Kelly and Dominic Carter, they all follow
- 58:32Speaker 3: because whatever John tells him to do, they do. They're dutiful,
- 58:36Speaker 3: you know, They're like little dancing bears. Whereas when I
- 58:39Speaker 3: worked there, I had an agreement with John was if
- 58:42Speaker 3: I'm wrong, I'm gone. And I broke a lot of
- 58:45Speaker 3: news there and the station benefited. They went right to
- 58:49Speaker 3: number one. They will no longer be number one because
- 58:52Speaker 3: if I have to, I'll be listening to w or morning,
- 58:55Speaker 3: noon and night wherever I go, and I'm everywhere in
- 58:58Speaker 3: this city. Let's go if we can to Mike, Who's
- 59:02Speaker 3: calling from Queen's your turn to be heard here at
- 59:05Speaker 3: seven to ten wr Mike.
- 59:07Speaker 8: Yes, sir, welcome back to the seven Never Ends. I'm
- 59:10Speaker 8: glad to hear you on the aircutter. That's what counts. Listen,
- 59:13Speaker 8: the staphanic thing is making my board boil because I
- 59:17Speaker 8: could read the teelies on the whole thing. We finally
- 59:20Speaker 8: get a star who can beat Hulko, and now she's gone.
- 59:23Speaker 8: And let me tell you something, Pal, one of the
- 59:25Speaker 8: big reasons you lost, in my opinion, is the chickens
- 59:29Speaker 8: voted for Colonel Sanders, if you know what I mean,
- 59:31Speaker 8: so they can't blame you for everything. And if you
- 59:33Speaker 8: would have withdrawn, then what do you have here? Have pocus?
- 59:36Speaker 8: You either have a Republican party or you don't have
- 59:39Speaker 8: a Republican party. I'd never heard of any Democrats throwing
- 59:42Speaker 8: their elections to get a Republican elected. So anyway, welcome back, kid,
- 59:46Speaker 8: and you're doing a great job, and happy New York
- 59:47Speaker 8: and tell them missus we all said hello too. By night.
- 59:50Speaker 3: I liked that he called me kid. I'm seventy one
- 59:53Speaker 3: years old. That makes me feel great. That's that's that's
- 59:57Speaker 3: other than substituting for Mark Simon to January tewod, that's
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: the second best Christmas present. I've gotten so far being
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: called kid, and it really is a president. This is
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: such a powerful vehicle, and that again, I want you
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: to understand what's happening here. The Republican Party in New
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: York City and New York State is being destroyed by Republicans,
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: not by the Democrats. Republicans put me aside. Obviously, I
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: can't compare with Elis Stefani. She was the star of
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: all stars. There's nobody out there they could do combat
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: with her, verbal combat in the ring and survive a
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: cross examination and interrogation by Elis Stefani. Everybody would agree that.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: Look at the three presidents of the Ivy League schools
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: who went down. Claudia Gay Harvard after that retired Elizabeth
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Megel of University of Pennsylvania. After her cross examination by Elist,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: retired Sally Cornbluff was holding onto the ropes TKO.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: The referee said, no, bos no us, it's over. It's over.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: Released no more or she would have retired.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: She eviscerated andrew evilized Cuomo at the Corona's Virus Committee hearing.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: And then remember it was June of this year, she
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: crossed examined Kathy Hokel on the hill and said, who
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: are these migrants who are killing citizens in New York State?
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Who are these illegal aliens?
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: Do you know any of them? Uh? Do you know
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: who that woman was who was turned into a human
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: torch on January twenty second on that f train in
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Coney Island?
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: Do you know what inn is say? Her name?
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: No?
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: No, you know who the migrant killer was. They was
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: being housed that It's Amaritian House shelter in East New York.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: I thought they only deal with drug issues, but they were.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: They were in it for the money, that's for sure.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: You know his name, Kathy Hokel, mhm Sebastian Zapeta.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: Of Guatemala, that pyromaniac. Oh, I'm gonna you don't want
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: to go anywhere. I'm gonna give you more.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: Details on the how quickly everybody forgets Nobody could step
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: into the ring with at least Stefani and survive. Nobody
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: wanted to. They hesitated.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: You really think that Bruce Blakeman would have stood up
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: in a debate against at least Stefanic. Come on, guy
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: like Bruce, I like some of his policies. If given
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: the choice to vote between Bruce Blakeman and Kathy Hokele. Obviously,
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: I'm gonna vote for Bruce.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Blakeman, but I'm not excited like I was with Eli Staphonic,
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: who also had a lot of young followers. Young you know, millennials,
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: gen zs. They are the majority of the population.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: I hate to tell you baby boomers out there, and
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: I'm one of you, we are no longer the majority.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: We are no longer the majority of the voters. We
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: are no longer going to be the shot callers. Baby
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: Boomers may have most of.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: The equity and wealth, but that will soon change too.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Bruce Blakeman is not going to be able to attract
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: younger voters. That's just not his style. It's not what
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: got him elected the county executive in Nassau County.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: And you really think that Kathy Hokele could have stood
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: on a debate stage and survived the withering cross examination
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: of Elis Staphonic, Say in a bazooka and what were
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: Kathy hoklovd a pop gun? In return?
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: And now we're being deprived of all that. Who did that?
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Not the Democrats, the Republicans. It goes right to the
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: White House itself. Donald Trump flipped the script on at
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: least Stephonic. You knew he was gonna do that to me.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: I was not his most loyal maga following at least
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: the Phonic was uber maga. Could you have been any
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: more loyal to the president? Any more of a team player?
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: Stop drinking the kool aid. The problem of a Republican
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: party is that, depending on what mood the President is
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: in on any given day, he will side against the
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: Republican candidates.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: You don't cross the line. You don't cross the line,
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: and you.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Don't listen to any other stations other than seven to
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: ten wor now.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: More with New York's iconics straight shooter Curtis Leewah guest
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: hosting from Mark Simone on sevent ten WOOR.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: I can assure you, ladies and gentlemen, this is live
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: in local. There's nothing in these past two hours there's
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: been pre recorded.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: I don't do that kind of radio.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: No does Mark Simon, who I'm substituting for till January
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: tewod and you know tomorrow, I think I gotta delve
- 1:05:38Speaker 3: into this. The new WWE Worldwide Wrestling Exhibition like the
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: old ww FA. Vince Mcmahonsenior and Bruno Sammartino that I
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: grew up with Turning Point USA and the annual gathering
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: in Phoenix. I know most of the players who appeared.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Boy is anything more contrived nowadays it's like the old WWF,
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: like the WWE Come on. I'll bring it down for
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: you tomorrow. But right now I'm not going to be
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: hanging out with influences or insiders, or billionaires.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: Or the masters of the universe. I never do.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: I'll be heading out to Coney Island with the Guardian
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Angels to commemorate and memorialize the most horrific killing that
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: ever has occurred in the subway system.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: And that says a lot. Say her name.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: How come nobody in the city is saying her name,
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: DeBie Kwam To bring a Kwam from Tom's River who
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: had a great growing up period, which I'm going to
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: get into tomorrow. Things you didn't know about her, And
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: you say to yourself, somebody who suffered a mental health
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: lapse and ended up being on a f train, homeless,
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: suffering emotional setbacks and set on fire by a monster,
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: A monster migrant from Guatemala, a pyromaniac boy the city
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: officials here, Eric Adams, a swaggerman with no plan, Jessica Tish,
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: the rest Governor, Kathy Hoko. They don't even they don't
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: even want to.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: Mention the name that we've seen the woman in the
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: CTA in Chicago set on fire. They keep talking about
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: that story, and rightfully so. The man was set on fire,
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: the homeless man in Times Square, in the subway station,
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: he was reunited with his long lost son. That's a great.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: Story, and we keep talking the moment that occurred. He
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: couldn't close that story fast enough. It is a fascinating story.
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: And I and the Guardian Angels we honored Debrina Kwam
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: by going out and helping the homeless and the emotionally
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: disturbed every day, those lost souls in the subways and streets.
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: I can't wait to be back with all of you
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: tomorrow at my favorite radio station, and it should be
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: yours now sevent ten wor
