Ohio’s tornado count just went up — a third path was found in Washington County, adding to the already wild storm sequence that slammed the state earlier this week. With eight confirmed tornadoes in Ohio and more in neighboring states, this July storm system was unusually powerful, bringing torrential rain, lightning, and damaging winds. The strongest confirmed tornado was an EF2 with 115 mph winds, ripping through Washington County and crossing into West Virginia.
