- 0:01SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 30.

- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Plus, another hotel casino on the strip plans to open its doors by the end of August.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: We'll let you know which one it is coming up on Vegas Reveal.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: This week's Vegas Revealed podcast is sponsored by Vegas.pizza.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: It's city's best pizza delivered right to your door.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: It's time for Vegas Revealed.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: We got a lot to talk about today.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: I'm Dana Roselli.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: And I'm Sean McAllister.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: And you know, let's start out with a big old shout out to one of our uh geographic areas that's really spiked in listenership.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: We've had a lot of listeners recently in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: So Hotlanna, what up?
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: We are so excited going, yeah, Atlanta's really liking the Vegas Revealed podcast.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: And this month really has uh had some high numbers.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: Hello, Atlanta.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: This nickname is Hotlanta, right?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and some uh pretty exciting entertainment news coming out of Atlanta, too.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Uh, movie theaters are gonna be opening up on Thursday.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: So Atlanta, we love you.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: We're watching.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Let's get out to the movies.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: Enjoy your popcorn.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Atlanta's a great place, and we love that we have so many listeners from there now.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: So hopefully we'll see you back here in Vegas soon.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: We've got some exciting news.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: MGM Resorts just announced that they are opening up the Mirage.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: We weren't sure if they were going to start to announce more openings or we were just gonna kind of sit at this level for a while.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: But really exciting that they announced that the end uh the Mirage is gonna open August 27th.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: So Mirage is, you know, so iconic, you know, with the volcano out front and it's known for you know Siegfried and Roy and so many different things that people were wondering when that that huge property would open.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: It's it's huge.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it's been so strange to kind of uh drive down the the strip and see the blockades at the entrance to the Mirage because that's usually such a busy area.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: There's always so many cars going in and out of the uh entryway there at the Mirage.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So it's nice to see that uh the Mirage will uh, as you mentioned, Dana, be opening on August 27th.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And as part of their uh safe reopening, they'll be doing what a lot of other properties are doing.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Um, there will be touchless menus.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: So they'll be using QR codes that you scan with your phone uh at restaurants to bring up menus.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Uh also there uh if you have a reservation at a restaurant, they're going to send you a text message when your table is ready.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: That's to avoid people just like congregating and waiting around for their table.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: So they've got some uh and touchless uh check-in also.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: So there's uh some new stuff that that they're putting in place that we've seen at a lot of other resorts.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: But good to see.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, Mirage.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, uh it's it's a promising, it's promising.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: I guess they wouldn't open these resorts if they didn't see the potential to at least, you know, fill them up at 50% capacity and get some business in.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: So it's definitely promising news.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: We're uh excited to hear that things are moving forward in Las Vegas.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: And really, since our last podcast, not too much has changed as far as kind of our rules right now when it comes to the coronavirus.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: It's still wear a mask, gotta go into any any business or anything like that.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: You still have to wear a mask.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: If you sit down at a table to eat, you can take it off.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: And I know that this was uh one of your tips on uh a previous podcast, Dana, but I think it's worth noting that if you are planning to come here to Las Vegas, that reservations are kind of the new normal for everything you do.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: It's so true.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, literally, I feel like everywhere.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've even went to eat downtown off the strip and you know, made the reservation on my phone before we were gonna get there to make sure there was room because they do fill up.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: I went to Makers and Finders, which is like a kind of a coffee shop on Main Street.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: The other day there was a 40-minute wait.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: They said, you know, we're at 50% capacity.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: So we had to, which was good because we went antique shopping and and bought something, and so it worked.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Or bringing bringing life to the economy while you wait to get into the restaurant.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: But but yeah, even if something is a coffee shop that serves a little food, it was you know at capacity because they can only fill it 50%.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: So you're right, reservations, reservations, reservations.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: So whether it's uh, you know, going to a lounge at night or or dinner or going to a pool or uh any attractions that are open right now, keep that in mind.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Uh but Dana, I want to kind of skip back.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And just to let everybody know, Dana and I were pretty much either on the phone or chatting, texting somehow, like uh pretty much every minute of every day.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, all hours.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: We had this conversation the other day that that really just has been sticking with me.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: So uh Dana and I both grew up in Rochester, New York, and on one of the local TV stations there, every I think it was Saturday, it was either Saturday or Sunday morning, it was a weekend, one of the local stations would have bowling for dollars.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: This is where local people would go on TV and and bowl for cash prizes.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: And for whatever reason, that popped into my head, and I asked Dana about it, and she said, Oh my gosh, I was on that show.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: So, okay, Dana, pick it up and tell me all of the details because I'm fascinated by this.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I was on the bowling for dollars show in the audience, um, but I was asked to be on.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: There was another bowling show for like the real, like really good bowlers that wasn't cash related.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: It was like the best of the best that I was chosen for.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: And the funny thing is, I've been in TV for what, 20 plus years, and I was scared to go on the bowling show, Sean.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: My mom was like, What do you mean you don't want to go on?
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: I was too nervous.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: So I said, pass because here's the deal.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: I was a really good bowler.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Like I had like high score, high series, I have trophies, galore.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, I was like, it was my thing.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Friday, we would bowl Friday night.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: We would go to TJ Big Boy, and we would do the um do the buffet, and I would love to get the fried clams at TJ Big Boy, but the bowling for dollars thing, my dad was so it was a family thing.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: My dad was a really good bowler too.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: So my dad went on bowling for dollars.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: I was so excited.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Sat in the audience, and then they show, like, oh, oh, you know, they're like, hey, Pat Roselli, like, who's in the audience?
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: Who's here to watch you today?
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Oh, my son Patrick and my daughter Dana, and I'm sitting there with this awful haircut, and I wave.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: And that was my first big TV moment.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: Dad didn't do the best he could have done, but but he won a little something.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: I forget what.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: So hold on.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: Now that now that we know that you were like a a champion level bowler growing up, I'm just gonna say that.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Uh, did you have like the personalized ball and bag and the whole get up?
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Well, I definitely had my own bag and ball, you know, you gotta have your own.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to think.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: I think I remember mine was marble, like that marble-ish look, and it was like uh pinkish red.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: And it had my initials on it, I think above my personalized, you know, where you get your holes, yeah, the holes for your hand measured.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I was big time.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: It was big time.
- 7:44SPEAKER_01: I was also, Sean, at the bowling alley.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: I was also um pretty big time when it came to Miss Pac-Man.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: So before I bowled, everyone would gather around me playing Miss Pac-Man, and I'd have my cone comb in my back pocket, the whole nine, and I would play and get like a really high score, and people would cheer me on.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: And so, yeah, you know what?
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: The bowling alley has fond memories.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: It was called Bowl a roll in Henrietta, New York.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: Bowl a roll.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: I remember it well.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: And was the uh Miss Pac-Man, was that the the stand-up machine, or was it one of those sit-down machines that had like the four-player?
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, stand-up.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Sean, I'm 44, so you know, I don't we didn't have sit-down by then back then.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: I do have a Miss Pac-Man controller that I can plug into my TV and play, though.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, so my ex-boyfriend's yeah, got me that.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: The gaming stuck with you, huh?
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: So, fun fact, Unvegas related for anyone that's listening, but you know what?
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Sometimes we just got to kind of talk about you can get to know us, I guess.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, next week we'll find out something hidden of Sean's that we that I didn't know.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: I'll ask around trying to put something out of it.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, uh, coming up, we have a great interview with uh someone from MGM Resorts International because we're talking about this uh work from Vegas package that they have.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: So, all you listeners from around the world, from around the country, we want to let you know you can come to Vegas and work, and we'll tell you how they're gonna help you do that.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: Next on Vegas Reveal.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: Vegas Reveal is sponsored by Vegas.pizza.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: We know going out to eat may not be for everyone right now, and that's where Vegas.pizza comes in.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: Housemade dough and sauce, recipes from the old neighborhood in Brooklyn.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: It's only available on delivery apps like UberEats, Postmates, and Grubhub, but it's easy and delicious.
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: You can try the classic New Yorker or try the Barstool Pizza.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: You can't sit at the bar and share it, but you can still have the pizza.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: Vegas.pizza, find it on Uber Eats, Postmates, and Grubhub.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Let's go.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to Vegas Revealed.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: So, you know, since March, pretty much like everybody else across the country and around the world, Dana and I have been working from home doing this podcast remotely.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: So we haven't been able to be in an office environment.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: And Dana, that's kind of become the new norm.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, it really is.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: And so many people are, you know, almost getting a little bit bored of it.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: So we've got a great option for everyone that's listening.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: It's called Work from Vegas.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: It's something that MGM is doing, and we're lucky enough to have Sarah Moore on the line with us.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: She's the VP of brand marketing for MGM Resorts.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: Hey, Sarah.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Hi, good morning.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Good morning.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Listen, I love this option.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about work from Vegas.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: And I know that you've got to be, you know, innovative right now and think about how can we get people here to Las Vegas to enjoy what we have, but be able to do what they have to do when it comes to work.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: And this is something you guys came up with, right?
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: Yes, absolutely.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: Uh, so knowing that there's millions of people working from home right now, we wanted to come up with a way in that we can package up some of our best adventities and experiences for them so they can have, you know, a little work from home away from home and still have a productive remote work environment, but also give them some options to recharge and refresh when they get a chance to, you know, take a break or step away.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: So, really, if you have to work remotely, what better place to do it than right here on the Las Vegas strip?
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: So, exactly uh how does this Viva loss office program work and uh what properties are participating?
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: So um it's uh you're it's available at our uh Aria and Bellagio properties, and you can go right online and book.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: So visit mgmresorts.com backslash viva, and there's three different packages and three different levels.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: And so you can start with a three night and work up all the way to a five night, and it all include incredible uh food and beverage credits, as well as you know, depending on the package that you choose.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: There's there's pool passes and poolside massages and great room product with uh the perfect setup for working from home, and you can book it right online.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: And the best part is once you do book, you actually get an executive assistant to help you take care of all those details, make all those reservations and do all the things that you know you don't want to deal with.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: And that's what I was gonna kind of say like what is the work part?
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: How does that come in?
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: So you so you have an executive assistant.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: So basically, if you need to work from your room for say like eight hours before you, you know, whatever, maybe you head down to the pool in the morning, you hit a restaurant at night.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Uh, what are some things that'll make working from the hotel room a little bit easier?
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Will there be there'll be printers and that kinds of thing that you can take advantage of?
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: So each of the rooms will be set up with, you know, an appropriate desk and all of the Wi-Fi and the things you need to be productive.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: We've also actually altered the for these packages, specifically the check-in and checkout times from as early as 8 a.m.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: to as late as 6 p.m.
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: So you can get right in and get to work.
- 12:57SPEAKER_02: Um, and for in terms of additional materials or equipment, you can work with your executive assistant to obtain, you know, whatever it might you might need to make your time more productive.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: And talk about being a baller and rolling into this Viva Lost Office experience, feeling like an executive, even though you you may just have a normal desk job, even the transportation to and from uh your hometown to Las Vegas, I mean that's a pretty cool uh experience too, with the the partner that you have for travel.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: Yes, exactly.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: So for those that are comfortable flying, we have partnered with JSX, which is the semi-private hop-on hop off air service.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: And so you each depending on the package that you choose, there is a credit available to use with JSX.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: So, you know, the seamlessness and will start even before you get to Vegas.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: And uh JSX is dog friendly as well as Aria and Bellagio.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: So if you can't be too far from your, you know, four-legged friend, you can bring them with you.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's interesting because I have a friend that works in New York City.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: He has a condo in Miami and he just decided to, you know what, if I've got to be in four walls, I'm gonna go to Miami, set up camp there, and you know, use the pool and the restaurant and my building and just take advantage for a while.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: Don't you feel like a lot of people just need a change of scenery?
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: And that's why this works.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: That's exactly right.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: Uh we can affectionately say, let's look at some different walls, and we can give you an incredible view and again give you those experiences to set you up to be incredibly productive, but also, you know, step away when you need that break.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: And and this is even, I mean, obviously, it's a great option for uh people who are who live out of town who are looking for an escape from their normal environment.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: But even for for workers here in Las Vegas, this is still a great option to kind of break out of the norm, get some of that new scenery, and and have an experience that makes you feel like you're getting away on a working vacation.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: Yes, that's exactly right.
- 15:03SPEAKER_02: No, we're so many of us are working from home that even just stepping out and kind of changing your scenery, even within your own city, is is refreshing and you know might be good for the soul.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: And I was gonna say, I mean, obviously, during these times, it's it's difficult when it comes to travel and vacationing.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: I know you have a lot on your plate.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Do you think you'll continue to come up with these kind of unique ideas?
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Because right now it's it's a time where we have to sit at the table and say, okay, the norm it's not the norm.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: So what are we gonna do to adjust?
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: Everything we're doing right now, we're quite honestly, we're looking through the COVID lens.
- 15:37SPEAKER_02: We're really understanding our consumers' mindset and how we can use what we do best to give them opportunities and experiences uh during this kind of new normal.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: And so we are exploring, uh, developing lots of other packages and opportunities.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: So there will be more to come on that for sure.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Well, and it we're obviously not in uh a time where uh anyone would consider it ideal circumstances, but uh given what we have in front of us right now, uh do you feel like it's given you an opportunity to look at everything you have at your disposal at MGM Resorts and say, how can we rethink this?
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: How can we uh repackage this?
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: How can we deliver new experiences in exciting ways for people?
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: It's kind of a new opportunity to uh look at all your resources, isn't it?
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: It's the number one opportunity, and quite honestly, it's critical that we look at our business that way right now.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: Uh, we are a business that thrives on bringing lots of people together and congregation, but we also have so many experiences that are more intimate that allow you to kind of experience it on a personal basis.
- 16:50SPEAKER_02: And so taking those experiences, highlighting them, packaging them up for consumers appropriately, that's really where we're thinking right now and looking to develop those opportunities further.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: And and Sarah, just go over for us what um, because a lot of people on Twitter always ask me that don't live here, like what's open in Vegas?
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: So if we go to the Aria and Bellagio, you don't have to get specific, but there are, you know, the pools are open, right?
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: The restaurants are open.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: There may be just a select bunch, but there are options.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 17:21SPEAKER_02: The the strip and our resorts are very much open.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: The pool's open, the casino floor is open, the restaurants, the majority of them are open.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: And whereas the experience might be a little bit different as we focus on putting health and safety at the forefront of every one of our uh spaces and venues, they are open and you can still enjoy them and and experience the Vegas you know and love.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I know that people still are kind of chomping at the bit to get out here to Las Vegas.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Just last night I I got a message from a former work colleague in South Carolina who's here in town right now with a big group of people.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: So you know people are still wanting that Vegas experience, albeit it'll be a different experience from what they've known before.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: People are still coming and our our properties are open.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: And so again, it's just providing them the experience that they absolutely love, but ensuring that we can make it as safe as possible.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, Sarah, listen, thanks so much for joining us and filling us in on this Work from Vegas program.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: We love it.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: We look we look forward to to hearing about more things and more ways to get people back here in Las Vegas.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: Um, I know it's gonna bounce back, it's just gonna take a little bit longer.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Thanks so much, Sarah.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: And uh Dana, what do you say we uh change our scenery and have a Viva Los Office experience for our next podcast?
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Listen, uh, you know I'm all about the pool and checking out different pools.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: So yeah, let's do it.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Let's do it.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: Listen, everyone nicely.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Oh, I hope so.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: I love the Arya pool too.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: It's beautiful.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: What a great place.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: All right, thanks so much, Sarah, and stay with us here on Vegas Revealed.

- 19:55SPEAKER_01: So we appreciate you.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: We thank you for listening.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: And if you could take a moment and do that, we would love it.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: Also, again, check out our website, Vegas-Reveals.com.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: It is time for our tips of the week.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, Dana, being home so much over the the last several months, you it's kind of gotten to the point where you're like, uh, okay, what else am I gonna do to to pass some time?
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: There's not a ton of outside stuff that that is going on.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: You know, and some lots of people aren't comfortable with going out and doing stuff.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: So while we're home, uh a tip this week is to go back and relive some of your favorite shows of years past.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: And I know that's what uh we've been doing it at my house.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: We've been watching uh old episodes of Friends on HBO Max.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: We've gone back and uh watched, I think, every single season and every episode of Shit's Creek.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: It's one of our favorite shows.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: That's a more recent show, but um, even the Golden Girls.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Like, I love sitting down and watching full chunks of Golden Girls episodes.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: What a show! That one is great.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: No, it's so true.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: I think that um a lot of times I see people online asking, like, what should I watch now?
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: You know, it's like we've watched the new stuff, everything's you know, the Ozark and all that kind of thing, but like should we re-watch old ones?
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: And a lot of people think, well, I've already seen it, you know, it might be, I don't want to re-watch it.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: But you and I have been getting a lot of joy out of watching old shows, and we want to let everyone know that you know what?
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: If you loved it, you will love it again.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Because Sean's loving friends, which is brilliant.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: I've been re-watching Gray's Anatomy from the very beginning because you don't realize I know.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Wait, because you don't realize like that was like 2007 or something, it's a long time ago.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: So I rewatched it and I'm loving it.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: I'm on season four, but there's like 20 episodes in every season.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: There's like, I don't even know, like 13 seasons.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: So I got my other friends, Rocco.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Modic, I've got them watching Grace and Adammy, they have never seen it.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: So we're we're texting each other.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: And but it's so much fun to relive because you kind of remember it so you feel close to the characters.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: But the one-liners and the and the the different moments are are so great because you you also are like, Oh, I forgot about that.
- 22:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, I forgot about that.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: And so it's been really fun.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: You know what just popped into my head?
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Desperate Housewives.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, that was a great one.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: That show was.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: And also Brothers and Sisters.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: They were on the same night.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Brothers and Sisters with Sally Field.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: If you go back and watch that show, it is amazing.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: I still want to be part of the Walker family.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, that was such a great show.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: I'll have to re-watch that when I'm done with Grays because that was good.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's fun to watch these shows too, because we used to watch them and then it would go to commercial, you know, and then you'd have to wait, or it would end maybe on a cliffhanger or something, and then you'd have to like, but now you just keep on rolling, you know?
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: And I was joking the other day on Twitter because I don't know how many times my Netflix asks me at like 1 a.m.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Like, are you still watching Grays Anatomy?
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Yes, I'm a loser.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: I'm on episode four in a row.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: I started at 7 p.m.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: But listen, and I was telling you, like, it's really affects you.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Like, like George on Gray's Anatomy got killed in the episode I I watched last night, and I feel traumatized this morning and sad.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: It is so sad.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: You become so close to all these characters.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: So Gray's Anatomy is a good, they're coming back actually um in the fall with new episodes.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: And I think they're gonna tackle uh COVID.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: It's gonna be kind of, you know, because it's a hospital, obviously.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: So it should be really interesting.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Shonda Rhimes is is brilliant at what she does.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: And yeah, when you were talking about Friends, I don't know how many times my mom has re-watched Friends, like all the time.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: I watched a bunch.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: It the one-liners and the writing, it's incredible, right?
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: It's so good, and it's one of those shows where I feel like it doesn't age.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Like there's some shows you go back and watch.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's God, how long has it been off the air?
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: A long time.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: A decade at least, and more than that.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: Um but it's one of those shows that just is timeless.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: And it's so I mean, it's funny to go back and see like some of the old technology and that they you know sometimes use a phone booth, and you know, like looking at the environment, obviously a lot's changed, but um the the comedy, the the writing, it is it's amazing, and those characters I just uh fall in love with them over and over again.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: So who's your favorite friends character?
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Uh if you had to just pick one.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, I really like Rachel.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: I think Rachel and Joey are my favorites.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Joey's great.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: This is weird, but I I'm a huge fan of Ross.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know why.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: I just find him very I find him like innocently funny.
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: I I love Ross.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Well, I know he annoys a lot of people, so I don't know.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: It's probably why I like him.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: I feel bad for him with his, you know, going to work and doing talking about the dinosaurs and trying to be romantic and his jokes aren't funny, and you know, he got spray tanned and didn't realize that you're not supposed to wear the goggles.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Remember, remember that one?
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: That was a funny one.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: He gets stuck in his pants and gets all pasty.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, that's a good one.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Well, listen, we recommend that you watch old shows.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: That's our tips this week.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: They're not necessarily Vegas related, but if you live here and if you're lit and if you don't live here and we're all at home, um, you know, re-watch some of your favorites.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: It's not that bad.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: It's actually very, very enjoyable.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Our tips this week transcend location.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: That's right.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: That's right.
