- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you're listening to the voice, come on,
- 0:09Speaker 2: dig me now.
- 0:10Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, Yeah,
- 0:13Speaker 1: I got one.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And I got a message for you today too, something
- 0:18Speaker 2: I was thinking about that might help you along the way.
- 0:22Speaker 2: The thing I appreciate about so many people that I
- 0:24Speaker 2: learned from Bishop Jakes, Kenneth Olmer, Donnie McClerkin, Kirk Franklin,
- 0:31Speaker 2: Joel Oldstein. I can't tell you, and many more than that.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I mean, you know I'm naming you know, famous people
- 0:40Speaker 2: because I know you know these names. But my father,
- 0:44Speaker 2: who you never met, was so great in my development
- 0:48Speaker 2: as a man. But my mother thought her mercy. My mother,
- 0:53Speaker 2: she taught me about faith. She gave me the things
- 0:56Speaker 2: I needed to know about. What I speak about every day.
- 1:00Speaker 2: That basis was given to me by hers. So it's
- 1:03Speaker 2: so many great people. But here's the thing that I've
- 1:06Speaker 2: had to learn, and that is that if God got
- 1:09Speaker 2: you through it.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It's done. Move on.
- 1:14Speaker 2: See, I can't tell you how many people don't really
- 1:17Speaker 2: pay attention to that close enough.
- 1:19Speaker 1: If God got you through it, it's done. Move on.
- 1:26Speaker 2: How many times have we as people allowed God to
- 1:30Speaker 2: get us through something, get us beyond something, get us
- 1:34Speaker 2: over something, get us through something, and then even after
- 1:39Speaker 2: its completion, we sit there and we dwell on it,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and we dwell on it to the point where it
- 1:46Speaker 2: becomes an anchor around our neck and we can't move on.
- 1:50Speaker 2: We can't move on because we just won't let it go.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's done. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Move on. Stop harboring on the past.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Stop hanging on to every time you fail, Stop hanging
- 2:09Speaker 2: on to every time you slipped up and messed up.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Stop hanging on to every time you didn't get it right.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So what everybody makes mistakes, Everybody messes up, Everybody don't
- 2:21Speaker 2: get it right. Everybody's struggling with something. You ain't the
- 2:27Speaker 2: only one, but my God, Man, if God got you
- 2:32Speaker 2: through it, it's done.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Move on.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You hanging on to it for it. That's why he
- 2:38Speaker 2: got it, got you through it, so you can move
- 2:40Speaker 2: on from it. See a lot of things that happened
- 2:44Speaker 2: to us that we think are negative or bad experience.
- 2:48Speaker 2: These are lessons and what not to do. This is
- 2:52Speaker 2: a way to have a now, a bearing on. Look
- 2:55Speaker 2: out for it. The next time you got me once
- 2:59Speaker 2: you can't get me again. I'm telling you, man, if
- 3:03Speaker 2: God got you through it, it's done.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Move on. You have got to move on.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I use this analogy all the time. I'm gonna add
- 3:11Speaker 2: a little bit to it. Bishop Jakes told me you
- 3:16Speaker 2: cannot drive your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 3:23Speaker 1: See. You know what your rearview mirror is actually for
- 3:25Speaker 1: in your car. Your rearview mirror is designed.
- 3:31Speaker 2: After I pass a car and I want to merge
- 3:34Speaker 2: into that lane, or I want to make another move,
- 3:39Speaker 2: I look up in the rear view mirror, and all
- 3:42Speaker 2: I use it for it shows me that I've gotten
- 3:46Speaker 2: past it. I've gotten past the vehicle I was passing,
- 3:49Speaker 2: and I got enough room now clear to make my
- 3:52Speaker 2: next move.
- 3:54Speaker 1: That's what I use my rearview mirror for.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I use my rear view mirror to just glance up
- 4:00Speaker 2: every now and then to see what's coming up on me.
- 4:03Speaker 2: That's all I use it for. Listen to me real
- 4:06Speaker 2: close now. Your rearview mirror on your car is after
- 4:10Speaker 2: you passing something, or you're passing by something, you can
- 4:15Speaker 2: look up in the rear view mirror and it lets
- 4:18Speaker 2: you know you're pasted. It you're beyond it.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It's clear. Now, it's in the past.
- 4:24Speaker 2: You no longer have to deal with it as the
- 4:27Speaker 2: car that was in front of you blocking your way.
- 4:30Speaker 2: You have passed it. You look up in the mirror,
- 4:33Speaker 2: you've cleared it. Now if you want to switch lanes,
- 4:38Speaker 2: you could.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Slide on over. You got room.
- 4:41Speaker 2: But that rearview mirror also lets you see if anything
- 4:44Speaker 2: is coming up on you, and you just need to glance,
- 4:47Speaker 2: because if you moving forward, ain't a whole lot can
- 4:50Speaker 2: come up on you. You just glancing every now and then,
- 4:53Speaker 2: and it reminds you that you got through something and
- 4:56Speaker 2: you got beyond something. That's what the real view mirror for. Now,
- 5:00Speaker 2: let's talk about that windshield. Why you think that windshield
- 5:05Speaker 2: so big on your car. That's the biggest window on
- 5:09Speaker 2: your car. You know why the wind shield so big
- 5:14Speaker 2: because it's where you're going. Because even the automobile makers
- 5:20Speaker 2: want you to have a wide view of where you're
- 5:22Speaker 2: going so you can see what's up ahead. They put
- 5:26Speaker 2: lights on the card night so you can have night
- 5:29Speaker 2: vision and see what's up ahead.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But you can uh, oh man, oh see not why
- 5:35Speaker 1: is that looking? Think about that now before I move forward.
- 5:37Speaker 1: With this one.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Think about that wind shield, man, why is that wind
- 5:41Speaker 2: shield so big so you can see where you're going.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's way more important where you're going than where you being,
- 5:49Speaker 2: don't you see that. That's why the rear view mirror
- 5:53Speaker 2: is so small, because it is nowhere near as important
- 5:55Speaker 2: as it is as to where you're going. While you
- 5:59Speaker 2: being just allows you to take a glance so you
- 6:01Speaker 2: can make sure you cleared it, so you can see
- 6:04Speaker 2: if it's room enough for you to make your next move,
- 6:06Speaker 2: so you can know that you've gone through it and
- 6:08Speaker 2: go ahead on about your business. But that windshield, that
- 6:12Speaker 2: windshield is for vision. A man without a dream of
- 6:16Speaker 2: vision shall perish. That windshield is for somebody going somewhere.
- 6:20Speaker 2: That windshielding for somebody else there trying to make another move.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I'm gonna go right, I'm gonna left, I'm gonna get
- 6:26Speaker 2: off on this exit. I'm gonna take this detail. I'm
- 6:28Speaker 2: gonna handle this sign. There's a new route. There's only
- 6:31Speaker 2: so many miles left to go. That's what the windshield got.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, man, when you see a
- 6:36Speaker 2: mile sign, you're driving on the freeway, you're on the interstate,
- 6:39Speaker 2: and you Let's say you driving to a particular city
- 6:42Speaker 2: and you see a sign that says that city is
- 6:45Speaker 2: thirty eight or one hundred and thirty eight miles away.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That lets you know where you're going, and you're on
- 6:50Speaker 2: the right path.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Now. If you keep looking.
- 6:53Speaker 2: In the rear view mirror, you'll never know how close
- 6:57Speaker 2: you are. You'll never know because you're driving your car
- 7:02Speaker 2: looking in the rear view mirror. You all on the shoulder,
- 7:04Speaker 2: you hear them rocks up under your car. You just
- 7:06Speaker 2: scared yourself to death because you know why, because you
- 7:09Speaker 2: keep looking in the rear view mirror. Get out the
- 7:13Speaker 2: rear view mirror. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Move on.
- 7:17Speaker 2: So what he don't love you no more? And man,
- 7:22Speaker 2: let's move on. If God got you through it, it's done.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Move on. God got something for you.
- 7:28Speaker 2: If you get out your real view mirror and get
- 7:30Speaker 2: up in that windshield, God's got something for you upp ahead.
- 7:34Speaker 2: But you can't see what's up ahead because you in
- 7:36Speaker 2: that rear view mirror. If God got you through it,
- 7:39Speaker 2: it's done. Let's move on. Come on, y'all, don't let
- 7:43Speaker 2: the pass beat you up. That's the ingredients in the cake.
- 7:47Speaker 2: You done, made that already, that's done. Let's go God,
- 7:50Speaker 2: look in the windshield, see what God probably got something
- 7:53Speaker 2: new for you. If you get out the rear view
- 7:55Speaker 2: mirror and look, open up your eyes and see. All right,
- 7:57Speaker 2: let's go today.
