- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best Music is nine and welcome to another
- 0:05Speaker 1: episode of Scotti and Abby Unfiltered. There are some updates
- 0:08Speaker 1: to get to today, and that's why I literally needed
- 0:12Speaker 1: to get a cup of tea for the studio because
- 0:14Speaker 1: I feel like we're all about to have a tea
- 0:15Speaker 1: session just to come together moment because we need some updates.
- 0:19Speaker 1: And I think the first thing we needed to address.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Is you boy wait, first of all, huns your tea.
- 0:25Speaker 1: It's it's hot right now, piping hot. It's delicious. But
- 0:28Speaker 1: I feel like what you're about to serve up is
- 0:30Speaker 1: going to be better.
- 0:31Speaker 2: We're on boyfriend watch with me.
- 0:33Speaker 1: It really is. It's like once a week. Okay, you
- 0:37Speaker 1: know what, let me I always find the positive. The
- 0:39Speaker 1: positive here is that there's been an increase in interest.
- 0:43Speaker 2: There's been a four hundred percent increase in men asking
- 0:46Speaker 2: me out, but a negative three hundred percent increase. And
- 0:49Speaker 2: then following through.
- 0:51Speaker 1: You know, it's kind of like I would say fishing,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and I'm not a fisherman, but this has to be
- 0:57Speaker 1: the equivalent of you throw your line in and then
- 0:59Speaker 1: you get a and you're like, oh sweet, like there's
- 1:01Speaker 1: fish here. Yeah, but you just can't never get that
- 1:04Speaker 1: fish to the top of your pole. You can't get
- 1:06Speaker 1: one in the boat.
- 1:07Speaker 2: The fish doesn't want to have dinner with me.
- 1:09Speaker 1: The fish doesn't want to be your dinner.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So our coworker Alexia has this new whiteboard and studio,
- 1:14Speaker 2: and I feel like I need to put on there
- 1:16Speaker 2: days since we've heard from what we need a nickname
- 1:19Speaker 2: for this guy that's not identifying.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Oh, that's not identifying, I would say, I mean he
- 1:24Speaker 1: does have great hair.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Sales set up because of our friend in sales setting
- 1:29Speaker 2: me up with this guy.
- 1:30Speaker 1: The sales king, sales set up guy. Yeah, okay, sales
- 1:33Speaker 1: set up guy.
- 1:34Speaker 2: We should put on the whiteboard days since sales set
- 1:37Speaker 2: up guys. Text to Abby because right now the counter
- 1:40Speaker 2: would be one, two, three days, three days now almost
- 1:44Speaker 2: three days. I guess by the time you're listening to
- 1:47Speaker 2: this a little bit more than three days.
- 1:48Speaker 1: And I was telling Abby because we're talking about this,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I mean, we have these meetings after work sometimes, and
- 1:52Speaker 1: you know, we're supposed to be talking about serious like
- 1:54Speaker 1: work stuff like how we're going to grow the show
- 1:56Speaker 1: and numbers, and we're like, no, no, no, how many
- 1:58Speaker 1: days has it been? Sindabi had to reply it with
- 2:01Speaker 1: the reasons of why.
- 2:02Speaker 2: It's been like Threeay, watch him actually be listening to this.
- 2:07Speaker 2: He's like, how long can I drag this out? Will
- 2:09Speaker 2: they keep talking about me? If I just don't text
- 2:11Speaker 2: this girl?
- 2:12Speaker 1: And I was saying, like he could just be really busy,
- 2:14Speaker 1: And there are people like this now, I always say
- 2:16Speaker 1: three days. There's a lot but that like are just
- 2:19Speaker 1: horrible textures, And there's always that cliche if you're a
- 2:21Speaker 1: horrible texture, then you're great in person.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Well, there's a difference between being a horrible texture and
- 2:27Speaker 2: an absent minded texture. And don't get me wrong, like
- 2:30Speaker 2: I am the queen of an appse. I will open
- 2:32Speaker 2: your text and then I will forget about it for
- 2:33Speaker 2: three weeks, and that I will say that is my
- 2:35Speaker 2: worst trade as a friend is I will open up
- 2:38Speaker 2: your text and then want to respond to it later,
- 2:40Speaker 2: so then I just forget about it.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I do that now a lot as an adult, Like
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'll go back and I have unread messages from like
- 2:46Speaker 1: weeks ago, yeah, and I'm like, I'm so sorry, But
- 2:47Speaker 1: if you're truly interested in someone, like, I'll tell you what.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Like I have never missed a message from a lady.
- 2:54Speaker 2: And that's what I mean is when a guy's really
- 2:56Speaker 2: into you, they're they're not playing games. They're responding to
- 2:58Speaker 2: you immediately. They're not a count three hours to respond
- 3:01Speaker 2: to you. And so I'm like, either this guy like
- 3:03Speaker 2: just really does not care, or he has a horrible
- 3:06Speaker 2: communication style, or let's.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Go down worst case scenario when he's dead.
- 3:09Speaker 2: He's dead, Hey, god, he's an actual ghost.
- 3:13Speaker 1: No, he actually maybe I had a friend that asked
- 3:15Speaker 1: this girl out, and like she literally gave him his
- 3:18Speaker 1: number at the place that we were at. She was
- 3:19Speaker 1: so excited to go on this date. He texted her,
- 3:22Speaker 1: never got a reply. We all go to like the
- 3:24Speaker 1: same like let's just call it a gym together, and
- 3:26Speaker 1: so he finally gets the courage and just to ask her, like, hey,
- 3:29Speaker 1: like what happened, and she's like, well, you know, I
- 3:32Speaker 1: was out and I lost my phone, and then for
- 3:35Speaker 1: some reason she had to throw in the extra anecdote
- 3:37Speaker 1: of and on my backup phone I also lost, and
- 3:40Speaker 1: we're like, we didn't even know you had two phones.
- 3:42Speaker 2: He has a.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Backup phone other than drug dealers, And that's why we
- 3:45Speaker 1: were like, Okay, you could have just said, you know,
- 3:47Speaker 1: you weren't interested. You didn't have to give us this
- 3:48Speaker 1: whole story that you lost both phones. But maybe he
- 3:52Speaker 1: lost his phone here God, and he just hasn't needed
- 3:54Speaker 1: one in three days.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I've gotten to the point where I'm
- 3:57Speaker 2: bargaining with the universe where I'm like, you don't you
- 3:59Speaker 2: know what? Maybe I don't be extraordinary. Maybe I don't
- 4:01Speaker 2: need a husband. Maybe I don't need to love my life.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Can I just have like a fling for like a
- 4:05Speaker 2: month that.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Was fun, something to spice things up, something to spice
- 4:08Speaker 1: things on, to pay for a drink? I know.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm really old, and it's been a really
- 4:12Speaker 2: long time. It's been ninety nine years. Like the last
- 4:16Speaker 2: time I had like an enjoyable romantic experience. I mean
- 4:19Speaker 2: it's been a bit.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Okay, hear me out. This is the home. Maybe I
- 4:22Speaker 1: don't always like this method, uh huh. But what if
- 4:25Speaker 1: you just follow it up on the past text?
- 4:26Speaker 2: I don't want to I okay, you want to know why?
- 4:29Speaker 1: It's it's giving desperate.
- 4:31Speaker 2: It's giving desperate for one and it doesn't feel aligned
- 4:35Speaker 2: with my spirit.
- 4:36Speaker 1: It does, and you wouldn't want that anyway, even if
- 4:38Speaker 1: it turned into something. You're like, really, you made me
- 4:40Speaker 1: text twice?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yes, And I like a guy who has a strong
- 4:43Speaker 2: sense of integrity and initiative, and this just feels like
- 4:46Speaker 2: none of those things.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And again, he could be I don't know what he
- 4:49Speaker 1: does for work. He could be very busy with work.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You know what he does for work?
- 4:52Speaker 1: Okay, Well, in his line of work, they do do
- 4:55Speaker 1: long shifts, long long.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Sh They also have long shifts off.
- 4:59Speaker 1: That's true. Actually, gotta go to sleep. And what do
- 5:01Speaker 1: we do before sleep? We scroll? You text, you have
- 5:04Speaker 1: Instagram or anything.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I think he just has a bunch of other girls
- 5:06Speaker 2: in his phone, if I'm being honest with you, all
- 5:08Speaker 2: these hoes, all these hoes, and I'm just I'm not
- 5:11Speaker 2: interested in, I don't know, competing for some man's attention.
- 5:13Speaker 2: And he is younger, so I'm like, I think I'm
- 5:15Speaker 2: just playing with boy boyfire and I'm looking for.
- 5:18Speaker 1: A man man fire. Yeah, man, that's gonna text me back,
- 5:22Speaker 1: take me to their sapphire. Well, okay, I guess that's
- 5:24Speaker 1: a dead cause. Then unless he gets back at the
- 5:26Speaker 1: end of this week, which I don't think that's gonna happen.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It is just comical. At this point, like how many
- 5:30Speaker 2: times have I been asked out in the last month
- 5:32Speaker 2: and they all just gope.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like, honestly, it's impressive because it's been like
- 5:36Speaker 1: four or five guys.
- 5:37Speaker 2: This is like guy number four.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I think that's amazing again, and that's my optimism. I'm like, hey,
- 5:43Speaker 1: I mean we're getting bites. We know the water is
- 5:45Speaker 1: good as in Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay water is good.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Now eventually you're gonna land one in the fish or
- 5:50Speaker 1: in the boat, okay, you know, or going the right direction.
- 5:54Speaker 1: These guys are just they're not the right fit. They're
- 5:56Speaker 1: not the right fish. So we're also talking about hopefully.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I mean, if this did work out, it could have
- 6:03Speaker 1: been a situation for the wedding that you're going to
- 6:06Speaker 1: to bring them as a plus one.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Oh yeah, because I did tell my sister in law
- 6:09Speaker 2: I was going to bring a plus one to the
- 6:11Speaker 2: wedding because I had this whole thing in my head.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I was like, I'm gonna be engaged by brother's wedding
- 6:14Speaker 2: and I'm going to make it happen.
- 6:15Speaker 1: I love the optimism. I love a good manifestation moment.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Shoot for the moon. You might reach the stars.
- 6:22Speaker 1: It's a hell of a shot though, because that was
- 6:23Speaker 1: a year ago.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm still on Earth, I do Okay.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Tangent, I'm still on Earth. I do like those stories though,
- 6:30Speaker 1: because sometimes it feels like what you got to engage
- 6:32Speaker 1: within a year. I don't think that's crazy. You find
- 6:34Speaker 1: the right person.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I think when you know you know, and I think
- 6:38Speaker 2: once I meet my person, it'll be a pretty quick engagement,
- 6:41Speaker 2: not like a two month situation, but it'll be like
- 6:44Speaker 2: it won't be much longer than a year.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But do you think you would have to live with
- 6:46Speaker 1: them first to really know?
- 6:48Speaker 2: No, I'm a big believer in when you know, you know,
- 6:51Speaker 2: you know what.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I like that.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Why ruin it with a don't responsibilities? Yeah?
- 6:55Speaker 1: Well, I mean it kind of gives you a sense
- 6:57Speaker 1: of what they're like. But I think if they are
- 6:58Speaker 1: truly the person like you will be able to handle
- 7:02Speaker 1: living together.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Controversial opinion. I think it's kind of lame to live
- 7:06Speaker 2: with somebody before, like you get engaged and get married.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Okay, that is kind of controversial. Why it is.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Controversial because I think it I think when you move
- 7:14Speaker 2: in with someone, it's basically a marriage. Well, when you
- 7:17Speaker 2: move out with someone it's literally divorce, you know what
- 7:19Speaker 2: I mean, Like you have to think about what with
- 7:21Speaker 2: furniture is yours, which furniture is mine? And you don't
- 7:23Speaker 2: have a prenup for that, like you have no, It's it's.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Going based off of like I hope we're on the
- 7:27Speaker 1: same playing field and we're still good hearted people.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're essentially just raw dog and marriage. Like you're
- 7:32Speaker 2: not married, but like you're essentially married.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I mean a lot of us have done that. We've
- 7:36Speaker 1: been in relationships, we've moved in together and the breakup.
- 7:38Speaker 1: That is a huge part of what makes it hard.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, if you like don't want marriage or whatever, that's
- 7:43Speaker 2: totally fine then just like no, you're getting into that
- 7:46Speaker 2: level of commitment. But for me, I'm like, I'm not
- 7:49Speaker 2: gonna move in with someone that I don't have legal
- 7:51Speaker 2: protections against.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I think the intent is when you move and
- 7:54Speaker 1: you have an idea that it might go that like
- 7:56Speaker 1: that distance. Yeah, maybe's the might, that's true.
- 8:00Speaker 2: That's what I mean. I don't fuck with might. I
- 8:03Speaker 2: don't be fucking with night.
- 8:05Speaker 1: But also the sad thing right now is it's also
- 8:08Speaker 1: like for many people it's also a way to save money.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So if you're together and you're like, we've been together
- 8:13Speaker 1: for your let's just move in. But that also is
- 8:15Speaker 1: where people decide like once they move in together. It's
- 8:18Speaker 1: why it's good to do before mariage. You see, wait
- 8:20Speaker 1: a second, now that we're together all the time, now
- 8:24Speaker 1: that we have very different living styles, I don't think
- 8:27Speaker 1: we could be together for life. Yeah, because it's easy
- 8:29Speaker 1: when you have a little like okay, like we hang
- 8:31Speaker 1: out every now and then, because then I efter hangout.
- 8:33Speaker 1: It's kind of like a highlight. But then you get
- 8:35Speaker 1: in those close quarters and you're like, wait, oh you're
- 8:39Speaker 1: you're like that.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, But I think that thought process cheapens the importance
- 8:43Speaker 2: of the relationship. Where if just because someone's a little messy,
- 8:47Speaker 2: you think that's gonna like that's a deal breaker for you,
- 8:50Speaker 2: then I think it doesn't incentivize you to work on
- 8:53Speaker 2: that because there's things I can improve on as a roommate.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm a horrible roommate. I'm honest with you.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I know that when I move in with someone there
- 8:59Speaker 2: will be things I have to work What is.
- 9:00Speaker 1: The thing that your future husband's gonna be like, Oh
- 9:02Speaker 1: my god, Abby again, I'm just messy.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Really, Yeah, I think mess just doesn't really bother me. Well,
- 9:07Speaker 2: not that it doesn't bother me, but it's the least
- 9:11Speaker 2: of my priorities.
- 9:12Speaker 1: That's valid.
- 9:12Speaker 2: But I understand when I move in with someone, they
- 9:15Speaker 2: it will need to be more of a priority.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you'll have to care about their space because now
- 9:19Speaker 1: it's a shared space. Yes, and it could get on
- 9:20Speaker 1: their nerves like it would for me. In a sense,
- 9:24Speaker 1: it just depends as long as it's like taking care
- 9:27Speaker 1: of equally, Like if we're both coming to the table
- 9:30Speaker 1: of like, look, i know I'm messy, but I'm not
- 9:32Speaker 1: gonna let you be the only one that's always picking up.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think you just have to have those conversations.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And I think that's why I'm I don't really take
- 9:39Speaker 2: moving in with someone lightly. And it's not a judgment
- 9:41Speaker 2: like if you live with someone you around my airship, I'm like,
- 9:42Speaker 2: oh my god, shame on you. Centers, center center. It's
- 9:45Speaker 2: more of like I think moving in with someone is
- 9:49Speaker 2: it's literally like you're married. It is, I accept without
- 9:51Speaker 2: the commitment for the rest of your life. But I
- 9:53Speaker 2: think the responsibilities you should go into as serious as like, oh,
- 9:56Speaker 2: this is someone who's a partner now, I think it
- 9:59Speaker 2: that's the difference between just dating someone or being engaged
- 10:03Speaker 2: to someone. When you move in with someone, that's really
- 10:05Speaker 2: when you become someone's partner, and it.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Is a very special moment. I will say, like, if
- 10:08Speaker 1: that's the case, like it's something to look forward to
- 10:10Speaker 1: as a married couple. I think for me, the equivalent
- 10:13Speaker 1: is like buying a house together. Yeah, like we might
- 10:15Speaker 1: live together beforehand, but then once we're married, it's like, oh,
- 10:18Speaker 1: let's let's go truly build our life. Let's go find
- 10:22Speaker 1: our dream home or at least our first starter dream home,
- 10:24Speaker 1: and let's do it together. That to me, that gets
- 10:28Speaker 1: me excited.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I knew it's beautiful. And so for example, my brother
- 10:30Speaker 2: and his fiance moved in together before they got engaged,
- 10:33Speaker 2: but they were going towards engagement.
- 10:35Speaker 1: That was gonna happen.
- 10:36Speaker 2: They knew they were going to get engaged. I mean,
- 10:38Speaker 2: could have something blown it up, sure, But my brother
- 10:41Speaker 2: bought a house, he moved his fiance into it, and
- 10:43Speaker 2: then they got engaged like a couple months later. Okay,
- 10:46Speaker 2: so as long as well, I get that, But they
- 10:48Speaker 2: were prepared to be partners they're like, Okay, we're we're
- 10:50Speaker 2: prepared to do this. They knew.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And that's very interesting because some people wait a long
- 10:54Speaker 1: time till after marriage. Some people are like, I were together,
- 10:57Speaker 1: let's move in right now, let's get together right now.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But also, I think, just naturally, with the way a
- 11:01Speaker 2: lot of relationships go, when you find that person, you're
- 11:04Speaker 2: with them so much that it's kind of basically like
- 11:06Speaker 2: you're living with them.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but also it could Yeah, but I see that
- 11:10Speaker 1: that also could be a double edged sword, because if
- 11:13Speaker 1: you're with each other all the time, that's where couples
- 11:16Speaker 1: usually get so irritated with each other because you can't
- 11:19Speaker 1: even feel like you could breathe anymore. You're always here,
- 11:22Speaker 1: You're always in my space, and it's like I thought
- 11:25Speaker 1: you loved me. Well, you still have to find that
- 11:28Speaker 1: balance of your own friend group, your own activities, spending
- 11:32Speaker 1: a little time without each other. Now that is not
- 11:35Speaker 1: like this is what's cool about relationships. It's like, maybe
- 11:37Speaker 1: that is your case, and you love it. You love
- 11:39Speaker 1: doing everything with your partner.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I think most people who are with the right person,
- 11:43Speaker 2: at least in the first couple of years, feel that way. Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 2: oh yeah, five years in Okay, different story, but which
- 11:47Speaker 2: have kids. Different story. But I feel like the first
- 11:49Speaker 2: couple of years, it's when you're like, oh my god,
- 11:50Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with this person. I never want to be
- 11:51Speaker 2: without this person, this greast person ever.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Yeah, what are your thoughts about? I saw this get
- 11:55Speaker 1: shared up on Instagram by me No. I saw a
- 11:58Speaker 1: couple other people liked it, and it was the idea
- 12:01Speaker 1: that your partner shouldn't be your best friend.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Oh I did see this girl talking about it. It maybe
- 12:05Speaker 2: kind of sad. If I'm honest with you, me too,
- 12:08Speaker 2: because I'm like, God, if you're going to spend every
- 12:10Speaker 2: day for the rest of your life with this person,
- 12:12Speaker 2: I would kind of hope they're your best friend.
- 12:14Speaker 1: That's what I thought. I was like, this is your partner, Like,
- 12:16Speaker 1: this is the person that you lay in bed with
- 12:18Speaker 1: and you share your deepest, darkest secrets, you share everything
- 12:22Speaker 1: that's happening in your life, like I and again, you
- 12:24Speaker 1: don't have to want that. But when I saw that,
- 12:26Speaker 1: I was like, uh, like, I do want my partner
- 12:28Speaker 1: to be my best friend. Like and when I get
- 12:30Speaker 1: up there and say my vows, like I want to
- 12:31Speaker 1: truly mean it to say like, no, you are my
- 12:33Speaker 1: best friend. Like, yes, I have other best friends in
- 12:35Speaker 1: my life, but like this is different. This is the
- 12:37Speaker 1: person I literally want to live with and I want
- 12:39Speaker 1: to die with. Like you make life truly worth living.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, the bare minimum, they should be your best friend
- 12:44Speaker 2: kind of I thought too. So there's this specific niche
- 12:47Speaker 2: brand of woman that is almost so girl's girl that
- 12:51Speaker 2: it's like, Okay, now you're just not even really making
- 12:53Speaker 2: sense because I've seen girls on TikTok who are engaged
- 12:56Speaker 2: in getting married who and this is beautiful And maybe
- 13:00Speaker 2: because I have struggled with female friendships in the past
- 13:02Speaker 2: that maybe I just don't relate to it and that's
- 13:03Speaker 2: why I have this opinion. But they like it's almost
- 13:07Speaker 2: like they value their female friendships so much more that
- 13:10Speaker 2: they're like, oh, I don't even need my fiance. I
- 13:12Speaker 2: don't I like find so much more fulfillment in my
- 13:15Speaker 2: female friendships. I'm like, then, I don't know, why are
- 13:16Speaker 2: you getting married to this guy? Like why are you
- 13:18Speaker 2: even messing around with marriage if you're if you seem
- 13:21Speaker 2: to value your female friendship so much more, which is
- 13:24Speaker 2: beautiful and great, and like I'm so envious that you
- 13:26Speaker 2: have relationships that you care so much about that you
- 13:28Speaker 2: have this opinion, but it's almost sort of like they
- 13:31Speaker 2: pooh pooh on their their fiance. I'm like, dude, I'm like,
- 13:34Speaker 2: you know, you're gonna spend every day of your life
- 13:36Speaker 2: with this guy, like I would hope that you almost
- 13:39Speaker 2: like him a little bit more.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It's kind of sad because I don't feel like it
- 13:42Speaker 1: needs to be like an either or situation.
- 13:44Speaker 2: You need both.
- 13:45Speaker 1: You do need both if it's gonna be your partner.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And that's again, we were just talking about this off
- 13:49Speaker 1: the air, Like I think a big thing, at least
- 13:51Speaker 1: for myself, is like I want that person that I'm
- 13:53Speaker 1: truly just so excited to be around, like a lot
- 13:57Speaker 1: of people, and it's sad, but like if you settle
- 13:59Speaker 1: and you're like, well, it's just good enough, and the
- 14:03Speaker 1: back of my head is like I knew there was
- 14:06Speaker 1: something there. I knew that there is this I don't know,
- 14:09Speaker 1: like the shine of there's that relationship that's going to
- 14:12Speaker 1: just knock your socks off. I know it's out there.
- 14:15Speaker 1: And then when you finally get a taste to be
- 14:17Speaker 1: like I.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Forging knew it, I believed in it.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I'm glad I didn't listen to the na The naysayers
- 14:22Speaker 1: are like, oh, man, like what are you complaining about?
- 14:24Speaker 1: You got so much good stuff, And you're like, no, no, no, no.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I want to be in that relationship where it's like
- 14:27Speaker 1: you're truly excited to talk, you're excited to do things
- 14:29Speaker 1: together and build a life together, and you don't feel
- 14:32Speaker 1: like you have to hold anything back. That's exciting.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Now.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Some people used to call me naive for that.
- 14:37Speaker 2: People call me naive for that.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I don't think it's naive. Why would you hold yourself
- 14:40Speaker 1: back from something that could truly be that magical?
- 14:42Speaker 2: This is the frustrating you think about being as single
- 14:45Speaker 2: as long as I've been single, is you constantly and
- 14:48Speaker 2: any social gathering situation somehow get cornered into the conversation
- 14:52Speaker 2: of how your standards are too high or you're too picky,
- 14:55Speaker 2: or you're expecting perfection, And it's so condescending because I'm like,
- 15:00Speaker 2: why am I getting berated for having a standard for
- 15:03Speaker 2: my life or a high standard for my life? Because like,
- 15:05Speaker 2: the alternative is me being with some guy that I'm
- 15:07Speaker 2: just complaining about all the time. I'm like, would you
- 15:09Speaker 2: rather me be like oh, chasing fucking sucks.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I rather you go and just like be
- 15:15Speaker 1: patient and then if it doesn't really hit up to
- 15:17Speaker 1: the marks, it's like, Okay, that's fine, Like that's what
- 15:19Speaker 1: the things are for. Let that be a situation to
- 15:22Speaker 1: grow and learn from. But what I've learned is like
- 15:24Speaker 1: with every situation, what you should be doing is like
- 15:26Speaker 1: taking the qualities. And me and my buddy used to
- 15:28Speaker 1: talk about this all the time growing up. It's like
- 15:30Speaker 1: you're just taking the qualities that you like from all
- 15:32Speaker 1: these different people, and the goal is to find the
- 15:34Speaker 1: person that has all of them, and.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Of course, or at least a majority of a majority
- 15:39Speaker 2: of them, there's no to like build a girlfriend out there, Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 2: or maybe there is, maybe maybe Scott's really found the
- 15:44Speaker 2: Holy Grail.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Well then it's like, of course they're also going to
- 15:47Speaker 1: have flaws too, but it's like their flaws also make
- 15:49Speaker 1: them beautiful to you. Yeah, So you're like taking all
- 15:52Speaker 1: these qualities and you're like, oh, wow, I'm looking for
- 15:54Speaker 1: somebody that contains, like you said, a majority.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Of them, or they're flaws that you can handle exactly,
- 15:59Speaker 2: Can I ask you a question?
- 16:01Speaker 1: Sure?
- 16:01Speaker 2: So, I don't know if other girls do this. This
- 16:03Speaker 2: is very college of me. But whenever I have a
- 16:06Speaker 2: small crush on someone or a big crush on someone,
- 16:08Speaker 2: I always look up their astrology to see if our
- 16:10Speaker 2: stars are aligned, because I really do think there's something
- 16:14Speaker 2: to the astrological bs that can tell you who's right
- 16:17Speaker 2: for you. Because every guy I've every dated, I'll put
- 16:20Speaker 2: my chart in and then his chart in, and I'll
- 16:22Speaker 2: be like, tell me what a relationship between would be like,
- 16:25Speaker 2: and it's always spot on. So I always am like, so,
- 16:28Speaker 2: what's this guy's birthday? And then I go do do do?
- 16:30Speaker 1: Do? Do? Do do?
- 16:31Speaker 2: I would really like to look up you and your
- 16:32Speaker 2: lady's astrology right now. Yeah I won't. I won't put
- 16:36Speaker 2: your birthdays or her birthday on blast?
- 16:37Speaker 1: But can we?
- 16:38Speaker 2: Can we do it?
- 16:39Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean I'm I already know what it's gonna say.
- 16:42Speaker 2: But have you looked it up already?
- 16:43Speaker 1: No? I just know what do you mean? It's gonna
- 16:46Speaker 1: be good?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Okay? Oh that's I love the confidence. Okay, first I
- 16:49Speaker 2: need I'm not going to cut this out. By the way,
- 16:51Speaker 2: what is your birthday time in your location? Like, where
- 16:55Speaker 2: were you born? What time?
- 16:56Speaker 1: And what day I was born? October eighteenth, nineteen ninety six.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Okay, and do you know what at least her birthday is.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I believe it's like, see I got this wrong though
- 17:08Speaker 1: that I think I have it in my notes. I
- 17:09Speaker 1: think it's July twenty first.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Okay, as long as it's like within a day or two.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, you're ready. I'm ready.
- 17:15Speaker 2: So you're a Libra. I think she's a cancer.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Dated a cancer once. Ever, again he was too emotional
- 17:23Speaker 2: for me.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I think she's on the cusp. She's like a spur. Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 2: See, I'm a cusper too.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Oh then that's a good thing.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god, you literally knew because that's the
- 17:33Speaker 2: first thing that Chatchibichi just said. So you're a Libra.
- 17:36Speaker 2: And then it said she's a cancer right on the
- 17:38Speaker 2: cancer leo cusp, but still cancer. So this is a
- 17:40Speaker 2: air and water pairing.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Oh.
- 17:42Speaker 2: This pairing tends to feel deeply romantic at first, emotionally
- 17:47Speaker 2: intense but sometimes confusing. Libra charming, social idealistic about love.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Fuck fuck, it's right about read what's harmony? Beauty in
- 18:00Speaker 2: connection can avoid conflict or be indecisive. I feel like
- 18:04Speaker 2: you're indecisive.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I've grown past that. I will say that was accurate
- 18:07Speaker 1: in my past. Okay, I have now grown from those moments.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I can now be very decisive and I don't avoid conflict.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I could head on now.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Okay. So cancer emotional, intuitive, protective, crave, security and closeness
- 18:19Speaker 2: can get moody or withdrawn would hurt translation. Libra creates
- 18:24Speaker 2: the magic.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Any more nice, that's right.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Cancer feels the depth. Oh what works really well? Strong
- 18:32Speaker 2: emotional and romantic chemistrye Libra brings flirtation and lightness, where
- 18:37Speaker 2: cancer brings emotional depth together can feel like a movie
- 18:40Speaker 2: relationship that is so funny. Oh my god, do you
- 18:43Speaker 2: say that it feels sometimes?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Oh my god?
- 18:46Speaker 2: What both our relationship oriented? Neither is casual about love.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Both want something meaningful, and they both have nurturing energy.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Cancer takes care of Libra emotionally. Where Libra helps cancer
- 18:56Speaker 2: feel admired and desired. Oh my god, where it gets ricky.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Here's a little red flag. Hear communication mismatch. Libra talks
- 19:04Speaker 2: things out but avoids tension. Where cancer feels things deeply
- 19:07Speaker 2: but may shut down. Problems can go unresolved but still felt.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I think that's actually pretty accurate and based off of
- 19:14Speaker 1: what we've talked about in our pasts. But I think
- 19:16Speaker 1: because we've talked about it, we've understood, like we understand
- 19:19Speaker 1: those sides, So I could like now say that we've
- 19:22Speaker 1: already grown past that and there are going to be
- 19:24Speaker 1: challenges and tests. What makes me excited though?
- 19:26Speaker 2: About that emotional intensity gap cancer? Why don't you feel
- 19:29Speaker 2: this as deeply as I do, Libra? Why is everything
- 19:32Speaker 2: so intense your conflict style Libra avoids conflict where cancer
- 19:36Speaker 2: internalizes and then explodes later. This is the biggest issue
- 19:40Speaker 2: in this pairing attraction level? Very real? Oh yeah, this
- 19:44Speaker 2: combo often has strong emotional pull a sense of this
- 19:47Speaker 2: matters early on, a kind of soft intimate chemistry rather
- 19:51Speaker 2: than fiery chaos. Based on the exact birth detail you gave.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Because you included a precise time and location for the Libra,
- 19:59Speaker 2: they likely have a strong rising sign influence, which could
- 20:02Speaker 2: change everything about how they come across. Depending on that
- 20:05Speaker 2: rising and moon sign, they might be more emotional than
- 20:07Speaker 2: the typical Debra.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm more emotional. I mean, I'm
- 20:10Speaker 1: definitely more emotionally intelligent.
- 20:13Speaker 2: I would say that, okay, or more detached, which could
- 20:16Speaker 2: make cancer feel insecure. If you want, I can calculate
- 20:19Speaker 2: their full chart and get way more specific.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Nah, you're good chat. Thanks.
- 20:22Speaker 2: The bottom line, the potential is very high emotional and
- 20:25Speaker 2: romantic compatibility. The reality is that it works only if
- 20:29Speaker 2: they handle emotions maturely. This is the kind of relationship
- 20:32Speaker 2: that feels really special when it's good and really confusing
- 20:35Speaker 2: when it's not. And that's it.
- 20:36Speaker 1: There you go. I think that's actually very spot on.
- 20:39Speaker 2: See, I'm telling you there's something to it.
- 20:41Speaker 1: There is something to it, and I love that it
- 20:42Speaker 1: brings up the things to look out for. But what
- 20:45Speaker 1: I really love about it is like these are things
- 20:46Speaker 1: that we've literally talked about, where it's like we know
- 20:49Speaker 1: those things about ourselves because of the chapter of life
- 20:52Speaker 1: that we're in. It's like we talked about like every
- 20:54Speaker 1: chapter before this, I had to learn those things about myself.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Was I indecisive in the past? Absolutely void? Conflict in
- 21:01Speaker 1: the past, one hundred percent? Not no more? Though I'm
- 21:04Speaker 1: a man now, baby, let me come out now. I
- 21:07Speaker 1: grew already, so that makes me really excited. A good
- 21:10Speaker 1: I told you I was gonna work out. I did.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Come on now, written in the stars.
- 21:13Speaker 1: It is literally written in the stars. So going back
- 21:17Speaker 1: a second, now that we're trying to find your matching star,
- 21:20Speaker 1: what is the going to be the deal with the
- 21:22Speaker 1: plus one? Since since we had this, you know.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, how did I get on this?
- 21:26Speaker 1: Well, we were hoping that this uh what do we say,
- 21:28Speaker 1: sales set up?
- 21:29Speaker 2: Sales setup was gonna work out.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It could have been like it would have been a
- 21:31Speaker 1: month in a little bit, a half lit, fun, fun
- 21:33Speaker 1: little date.
- 21:34Speaker 2: So literally we talked about this on Monday, where I
- 21:36Speaker 2: was telling you that my sister in law asked me
- 21:38Speaker 2: for a plus one or what the name of my
- 21:40Speaker 2: or if I was going to have a plus one?
- 21:42Speaker 2: And I said, yeah, just just put put it down.
- 21:43Speaker 2: His blank put it out is John Smith. So literally
- 21:47Speaker 2: I left the office that day and a couple hours
- 21:49Speaker 2: later she texted me she said, so about this plus
- 21:51Speaker 2: one and I was like, yeah, I just get rid
- 21:52Speaker 2: of it. Oh, just get this plus one. I know.
- 21:55Speaker 2: So I've kind of I've just resigned, and you know what,
- 21:58Speaker 2: you know, what's really messed up is now that I've
- 21:59Speaker 2: res I'm going to meet somebody.
- 22:01Speaker 1: That is actually, honestly it is, You're gonna be like,
- 22:04Speaker 1: oh my god, this would have been so perfect. But
- 22:06Speaker 1: can't you just sneak them in? It's literally your family.
- 22:08Speaker 2: No, literally, if I met someone and I was like,
- 22:10Speaker 2: oh my god, like I love this guy, they would.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Figure it out. Yeah, they figure it out, get it together.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Maybe that's the right thing. Let it not be even
- 22:16Speaker 1: an option. Yeah, and then mister Wright will come walking
- 22:18Speaker 1: in the door. Maybe right now what happened, Oh, somebody
- 22:21Speaker 1: did to walk by. I was hoping somebody is going
- 22:22Speaker 1: to walk in as mister Wright.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Oh no, wouldn't that be great. It's like summary though
- 22:25Speaker 2: from like hello, a new guy.
- 22:28Speaker 1: It's like a Hallmark movie. I was just I was
- 22:30Speaker 1: looking for the Farmer's market station.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I don't know how I ended up here between all
- 22:35Speaker 2: these the layers of security, and how did I get
- 22:37Speaker 2: this programming badge?
- 22:39Speaker 1: I guess I'm supposed to be here. Okay, so nobody's
- 22:43Speaker 1: I think it'll still be a great time though. I mean,
- 22:45Speaker 1: it's you on a beautiful place, a beautiful resort.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yep, we're seeing an Amelia Island at a really nice resort.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Get a nice little lot of bubbles. Anybody in your
- 22:54Speaker 1: family you really like vibe with?
- 22:55Speaker 2: I love my cousins. There you go. My cousins are fun.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I feel like me and my girl, my girl cousin,
- 23:00Speaker 2: my girl cousin, Aliy and I have gotten some good
- 23:02Speaker 2: bonding time recently because of the Bachelorette, and we're also
- 23:04Speaker 2: doing pilates together on Thursday.
- 23:05Speaker 1: See that'd be fun. What are the men you looking
- 23:08Speaker 1: like for this wedding?
- 23:09Speaker 2: Like beef tenderloin or like an almond crusted chicken.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I know. I was really excited for the cake. Here's
- 23:15Speaker 2: what I'm really upset about. They're not taking the cake
- 23:18Speaker 2: as seriously as I take the cake.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Here's the tough thing about the cake.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I'm a big cake out.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I get it. But here's where, like, I've gone to
- 23:25Speaker 1: so many weddings now and I still say that, not
- 23:27Speaker 1: because I've been invited, because I've worked them, But you
- 23:29Speaker 1: do this whole thing for a cake, and then everyone
- 23:32Speaker 1: forgets about the cake and you're like, oh my god,
- 23:34Speaker 1: it's the cake song. Everyone cuts the cake song, and
- 23:37Speaker 1: then you never see the cake again. Like you either,
- 23:39Speaker 1: if you're a guest, you forget to go get a piece.
- 23:41Speaker 1: If you're the couple. Half the time and more than
- 23:44Speaker 1: half you won't even get a piece of your cake
- 23:46Speaker 1: because you're just so busy doing other things. So you
- 23:49Speaker 1: do you spend one hundreds of dollars on this damn
- 23:51Speaker 1: sweet treat to never see it again, I.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Know, But then you save it and it's a moment
- 23:56Speaker 2: for your anniversary next. But I get it. So people
- 23:58Speaker 2: don't love cake as much as I do. But from
- 24:00Speaker 2: my cousin's wedding last year or not last year, two
- 24:02Speaker 2: years ago, literally the only thing I remember eating other
- 24:06Speaker 2: than the steak, which I just remember, was being like
- 24:07Speaker 2: a wedding steak. I remember that cake so vividly. I
- 24:10Speaker 2: remember the cake and the sauvignon blanc. It was a
- 24:12Speaker 2: red velvet cake and it was so good. It was
- 24:15Speaker 2: it had no business being that good, because you know,
- 24:17Speaker 2: wedding cake typically isn't that good because they have to
- 24:19Speaker 2: freeze it. They put the fond in on it. Their
- 24:21Speaker 2: cake was delicious.
- 24:22Speaker 1: See. I like the idea of doing something different than
- 24:24Speaker 1: a cake, like, well, you get I've gone to when
- 24:27Speaker 1: we have a place here, nothing butN cake? Is that commercial?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Is that like around the country?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a franchise.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Okay, Well that I've had people do like the little
- 24:34Speaker 1: ones of that that's amazing. I've had people do like
- 24:36Speaker 1: little pieces of like Tara Masou incredible, like where it's
- 24:40Speaker 1: a bunch of different options instead of one gigantic cake.
- 24:43Speaker 1: I get that because that's hard to nail. So what
- 24:45Speaker 1: is the deal with their cake?
- 24:46Speaker 2: So they are getting theirs? And you know what I do?
- 24:49Speaker 1: You have to say I love a Public's caake, me too,
- 24:52Speaker 1: But they have surprised me recently where it's like I've
- 24:55Speaker 1: gotten what Maybe it was the last wedding I went
- 24:58Speaker 1: to where it's like took a bitle that.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I was like, Holy, public stake is great, You're not
- 25:02Speaker 2: effing around. They have a really good banana pudding cake.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Have you had their banana pudding cake.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I'm not usually a fan of banana pudding, but I
- 25:07Speaker 1: out f it up.
- 25:07Speaker 2: I love banana pudding. Bana putting is my favorite dessert
- 25:10Speaker 2: other than ice cream. But they weren't as enthusiastic about
- 25:13Speaker 2: the cake as I wanted them to be.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Really.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I was like, so what flavor are you getting tears?
- 25:17Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, We're just gonna like go to
- 25:19Speaker 2: PUBLICX and try some. I was like, okay, that's that's great.
- 25:21Speaker 2: But like what flavors? What did you decide? I think
- 25:23Speaker 2: they just cho just like vanilla or something you like.
- 25:24Speaker 1: When people do like the they do interesting parents, Like
- 25:27Speaker 1: I've had like lavender cake.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I love a fancy cake, so you have fun
- 25:31Speaker 2: with it. Yeah, I like a little freaky with egg.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Can you like a raspberry coolie?
- 25:35Speaker 1: See if I was to Oh see, I love raspberry
- 25:37Speaker 1: filling in.
- 25:37Speaker 2: There with a little chocolate cake. Come.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good stuff. See, I like it. If if
- 25:42Speaker 1: I could have my dream cake would either be like
- 25:44Speaker 1: a Tara Masou or a carrot cake.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Oh, I love a carrot ca I do love a
- 25:47Speaker 2: carrot cake.
- 25:48Speaker 1: But that is controversial, Like seventy five percent of the
- 25:50Speaker 1: guests would not like it. Yeah, even though it's not
- 25:52Speaker 1: meant for.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Them, it's who cares, It's it's your wedding cake.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Maybe I'll just have a side one on the piece.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm planning my wedding even though I'm not even engaged,
- 25:57Speaker 1: Like I just I want that lit one else kut
- 26:00Speaker 1: of the public cake. I want the carrot cake.
- 26:01Speaker 2: How does your lady feel about the carrot cake?
- 26:03Speaker 1: Oh my god, I a fan?
- 26:05Speaker 2: Okay, she didn't care.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Yeah, indifferent. I'm the one obsessed with it.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I'm the one that actually I am in charge of
- 26:11Speaker 2: the groom's cake though, so I will say cake. Yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 2: the groom gets a cake for the rehearsal dinner. So
- 26:16Speaker 2: my mom and I are tagged teaming the rehearsal dinner.
- 26:18Speaker 1: What have you guys decided what it's going to be?
- 26:20Speaker 2: So we have not decided on a flavor. I want
- 26:22Speaker 2: to do like a whole tasting situation, but then that
- 26:24Speaker 2: means I have to go up to like Florida or whatever,
- 26:26Speaker 2: or up to Jacksonville.
- 26:27Speaker 1: So just gonna but then you get to try cakes.
- 26:30Speaker 1: I know.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I love to try cake.
- 26:31Speaker 1: See that looks. I love hearing the stories when couples
- 26:33Speaker 1: are doing all their not even just the cake testing,
- 26:35Speaker 1: but like they're going out to like where they're gonna
- 26:37Speaker 1: get married, and they get the tasting for the foods.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, that sounds so fun. And they give
- 26:42Speaker 1: you like the bubbles and they get to try all
- 26:44Speaker 1: the dishes and you decide what ones you're going to have,
- 26:46Speaker 1: and then it's like the day of and you barely
- 26:48Speaker 1: eat any of your meal because you're talking to everyone
- 26:49Speaker 1: in your guests. But that seems so fun.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I know, it's like a BONDI moment you're like, which
- 26:53Speaker 2: one do you like? I love watching those videos on
- 26:55Speaker 2: TikTok where they're like, we're trying our cake box to
- 26:57Speaker 2: see which one we want to have for a weddy.
- 26:59Speaker 1: See. I don't have that on my TikTok. I mean
- 27:01Speaker 1: that is not on my algorithm yet.
- 27:02Speaker 2: You kind of boost your FYP.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I need to get a little I'm not really in
- 27:05Speaker 1: the looking at weddings right now. It's a little a
- 27:08Speaker 1: little soon. Couldn't be me.
- 27:10Speaker 2: My mom called me yesterday. She's like, I'm concerned you're
- 27:12Speaker 2: not sending me any photos of wedding dresses anymore, because
- 27:15Speaker 2: that's how me and my mom bond. So my parents
- 27:17Speaker 2: and I communicate like we're in college and at Snapchat,
- 27:20Speaker 2: like we just send each other photos back and forth
- 27:22Speaker 2: or memes or tiktoks. So my dad and I communicate
- 27:25Speaker 2: purely through food that we eat. So my dad, I
- 27:27Speaker 2: won't hear from him for like three weeks, and then
- 27:28Speaker 2: all of a sudden, he'll send me a photo of
- 27:30Speaker 2: an omelet. I'm like, yeah, I hear your god. Dad,
- 27:32Speaker 2: and my mom and I communicate by sharing photos of
- 27:35Speaker 2: wedding dresses that we both like, Oh.
- 27:36Speaker 1: That would be fun. So that's like a really cool
- 27:38Speaker 1: moment that you get to look forward to wed.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I gotta get a boyfriend first, guy, I.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Mean, it's gonna be you know what do we say?
- 27:45Speaker 1: It could be in a year? Who knows?
- 27:47Speaker 2: Six months?
- 27:48Speaker 1: That sounds fun. That seems fun too. Like I'm trying
- 27:51Speaker 1: to think, what do guys have the equivalent of? Like
- 27:53Speaker 1: the bride and the bride'smaids get through a lot of
- 27:55Speaker 1: cool stuff, Like you go and you do the wedding
- 27:57Speaker 1: shop or the dress shopping, and then you know, you
- 28:00Speaker 1: do the little like I don't know, flower shopping like
- 28:03Speaker 1: guys like I literally got a link sent for the
- 28:06Speaker 1: tucks that I'm wearing in a month and it's like,
- 28:08Speaker 1: all right, just click order and they'll just show up.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm like, do you want a big hoopla? Because the
- 28:12Speaker 2: hooplah's fun once.
- 28:13Speaker 1: That's just like the idea of getting everyone together. Yeah,
- 28:16Speaker 1: Like that's the fun for it because you think about
- 28:18Speaker 1: it and you only have so many times. This is
- 28:21Speaker 1: so sad, but where everybody comes together, Like I've seen
- 28:25Speaker 1: this so many time where people talk about the wedding.
- 28:26Speaker 1: That's like the last time like all of your friends,
- 28:28Speaker 1: all of your family are all together in one time.
- 28:30Speaker 2: I know, it's beautiful. It's a big moment.
- 28:32Speaker 1: It is a big moment.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I'm excited for it. But I mean we did something
- 28:34Speaker 2: like that for my brother. We went to Hyde Park
- 28:36Speaker 2: and we went to suit supply. Oh my god, that
- 28:38Speaker 2: was a hoopla we I made plans for them to
- 28:40Speaker 2: go to Leila afterwards. So I was like, Okay, I'll
- 28:43Speaker 2: meet you guys in like an hour and then we'll
- 28:45Speaker 2: uber do Ulelea together. And so I go down thinking
- 28:47Speaker 2: I missed the appointment. I'm like, oh my god, I'm
- 28:49Speaker 2: so late, like a camp life. It took me way
- 28:51Speaker 2: longer than I expected to come down here. And I
- 28:53Speaker 2: get there and they're like picking out buttons. They're looking
- 28:54Speaker 2: at seven different shades of a crew to figure crazy,
- 28:57Speaker 2: I know, because my brother's doing a custom suit and
- 28:59Speaker 2: he's doing a blue suits. That's the color scheme, blah
- 29:01Speaker 2: blah blah blah. And I'm like, they're the amount of
- 29:03Speaker 2: options on this freaking suit. I'm like, we've been here
- 29:05Speaker 2: for three hours, what are we doing?
- 29:07Speaker 1: And I've had friends that are like, you need to
- 29:10Speaker 1: go to suit supply, you need to get a custom suit.
- 29:12Speaker 1: I'm like, that seems too much.
- 29:14Speaker 2: But if it's your wedding, if it's your wedding, then
- 29:16Speaker 2: I think it's you know, because guys don't really get anything.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Like you said, when you're a girl, you go to
- 29:20Speaker 2: fifteen different bridal salons, you trou on seventeen dresses that
- 29:23Speaker 2: all look exactly the same, but they have a different fabric,
- 29:25Speaker 2: and you get to have that moment and it is
- 29:28Speaker 2: it is a fun moment. I will say, after like
- 29:29Speaker 2: the third salon, you're like, Okay, let's wrap this shit up.
- 29:31Speaker 2: But it is fun.
- 29:33Speaker 1: I would like, Okay, if I was going to get
- 29:34Speaker 1: something as the groom like, I would like that, like
- 29:37Speaker 1: get together. I'd like everyone getting fitted together. I want
- 29:39Speaker 1: everyone to looks sharp, and I hope I'm at a place.
- 29:41Speaker 1: This is definitely manifesting that I could just like pay
- 29:44Speaker 1: for everyone's suits. I could bring them out, get them fitted,
- 29:48Speaker 1: get them something that they truly like that they could wear. Again,
- 29:50Speaker 1: that is the advantage that we have versus women and
- 29:53Speaker 1: wedding dress wear. That again, it's.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Annoyed because you buy this dress and you do it
- 29:57Speaker 2: because you love the bride and you want to execute
- 29:58Speaker 2: her vision. But it is a lo lot of money
- 30:00Speaker 2: for address that you're literally gonna maybe sell on Poshmark
- 30:03Speaker 2: one time.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Where unless this is gonna be my style, I'm not
- 30:08Speaker 1: even joking like I'm going to have brand like maybe
- 30:10Speaker 1: every anniverse. I don't know. You act like you get
- 30:12Speaker 1: married again and you go around town such I know,
- 30:15Speaker 1: I freaking love it. I am a sign. And here's
- 30:17Speaker 1: the thing in a little tangent here we've been talking
- 30:19Speaker 1: about off campus. I know how much of them a
- 30:21Speaker 1: romantic I am because I watched that show and I'm
- 30:23Speaker 1: like tearing up at scenes. I'm like, I love this.
- 30:25Speaker 2: That's been what's been the most romantic scene that you've
- 30:27Speaker 2: loved so far?
- 30:28Speaker 1: Well? Okay, spoiler alert, spoiler alert when she's playing piano
- 30:35Speaker 1: in the ice rink.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, their song.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I save that song on my phone. I've listened to
- 30:39Speaker 1: it probably like eighty times already.
- 30:40Speaker 2: That's my favorite thing about finding a show that I
- 30:42Speaker 2: love is it introduces me to new music that I
- 30:45Speaker 2: now have memories attached to. Like I probably could have
- 30:47Speaker 2: heard these songs and been like whatever, I don't really
- 30:49Speaker 2: care about the song, But now when I hear it,
- 30:51Speaker 2: I think about how I felt watching those scenes, like
- 30:54Speaker 2: the g Flips, the g Flip song bet on Fire.
- 30:56Speaker 2: It's the sexy montage scene. Oh yeah, but I'm like,
- 30:59Speaker 2: oh my god, I remember seeing that scene and being
- 31:01Speaker 2: so excited that they got together that every time I
- 31:02Speaker 2: hear that song now, I'm.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Like, yeah, like that, Like literally that scene, I was like,
- 31:08Speaker 1: oh my god, Like I love the idea of just love.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Like I watch romantic movies just because I'm like, I
- 31:14Speaker 1: love the like the story of it, the passion of it,
- 31:16Speaker 1: And people are like, that's just the movies, and I'm like,
- 31:19Speaker 1: here's my thought. It technically doesn't have to be if
- 31:22Speaker 1: you don't let it. Yes, there's gonna be real life
- 31:24Speaker 1: things that pop up if we're I sound like such
- 31:26Speaker 1: a hopeless romantic. But for me, the thing I say
- 31:31Speaker 1: to myself is like, you have to keep that intention
- 31:33Speaker 1: behind it. There's no reason why you can't do some
- 31:35Speaker 1: of those things in the movies. Yes they're corny, Yes
- 31:38Speaker 1: they're a little silly, maybe they're a little outlandish, but
- 31:41Speaker 1: why the hell not that I love doing that crap?
- 31:44Speaker 1: Catch me outside with the guitar throwing a rock out
- 31:46Speaker 1: the window, catch.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Me outside being romantic. I'm on that.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I will. I will straight up do all that crap.
- 31:51Speaker 1: But I that show has been very fun for me
- 31:54Speaker 1: because it's very predictable. But at the same time, I'm like,
- 31:57Speaker 1: I love it.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's predictable in the sense that it doesn't like.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Your Cortisol, Yes, and I like that. I just want
- 32:03Speaker 1: there to be loved, like that's it, Like that'd be
- 32:05Speaker 1: a cool love story that you're like, yes, I love that.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Happy for you guys. So if you want to live
- 32:12Speaker 1: like the movies, I say, go for it.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah. So anyway, find a good suit for your for
- 32:16Speaker 2: your guys, it is very expensive. The suits are expensive.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Well, hopefully I don't have Like, I don't plan on
- 32:20Speaker 1: getting married anytime soon.
- 32:22Speaker 2: What is your timeline? Like, do you want to be
- 32:23Speaker 2: like dating for a while, because I feel like you're
- 32:25Speaker 2: so head over heels for this curly that I'm like,
- 32:27Speaker 2: oh my god, they could be engaged next year.
- 32:29Speaker 1: This is such a public conversation. Oh my god.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Should we not be having this conversation publicly?
- 32:33Speaker 1: No, I would say it's I mean, it's definitely a
- 32:34Speaker 1: two way street. That's how it would be like, obviously
- 32:36Speaker 1: there's we're in the beginning of a relationship. Yeah, there's
- 32:38Speaker 1: a lot of stuff to talk about. There's a lot
- 32:40Speaker 1: of stuff to grow through. I'm at the point now, though,
- 32:43Speaker 1: where I used to Okay, I'll speak on my old beliefs.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I used to think that I wanted to kind of
- 32:48Speaker 1: recreate what my parents did. They dated for three years,
- 32:51Speaker 1: you got engaged, and then got married.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Damn.
- 32:53Speaker 1: So in my head growing up, I always just thought
- 32:56Speaker 1: that was the casey date for three years, you get
- 32:59Speaker 1: engaged and get As I've gotten older, I realized, Wait,
- 33:01Speaker 1: it's like I don't have to live on that timeline.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I think that's how old were your parents when they
- 33:06Speaker 2: dated and not engaged.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Kind of fun brown this age. So I think my
- 33:09Speaker 1: mom was twenty seven, my dad was twenty eight.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Okay, a little bit younger though, because your lady's a
- 33:13Speaker 2: little bit older. Because I was about to say, I'm like,
- 33:15Speaker 2: things do speed up once you hit like thirty Yeah,
- 33:17Speaker 2: oh yeah, way, haint got sam to waste.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Well, that's what I think is really cool about the relationship.
- 33:21Speaker 1: You get to this part where it's when you're with
- 33:23Speaker 1: somebody you know you're not wasting time. Yeah, you're like,
- 33:26Speaker 1: I know that you're looking for something and I'm looking
- 33:29Speaker 1: for something, and we both know that if this is
- 33:31Speaker 1: not the right fit, we will call it quits. We
- 33:33Speaker 1: will go ahead and say that this is not going
- 33:35Speaker 1: to be the right the right person for this time.
- 33:38Speaker 1: And we both looked at each other. We're like, that
- 33:40Speaker 1: is not the case. Definitely not the case. When you know,
- 33:43Speaker 1: you know, you know, I know exactly.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I mean, my brother met his lady two years ago.
- 33:47Speaker 2: When they're getting married. Like literally, think about your first
- 33:50Speaker 2: day with someone in two years you could be getting
- 33:51Speaker 2: married to them.
- 33:52Speaker 1: See, I think that's very realistic. Especially like again, like
- 33:55Speaker 1: what I said, it's like, there doesn't need to be
- 33:56Speaker 1: a certain amount of time that goes by. It's what
- 33:59Speaker 1: I think I think will be the cases. You just
- 34:01Speaker 1: have that feeling of like, Yep, we're going to move
- 34:04Speaker 1: forward with this. Yeah, do your due diligence and talk
- 34:06Speaker 1: to everybody and kind of make sure everybody's like on agreeance.
- 34:09Speaker 1: But like you said, it doesn't necessarily mean you got
- 34:11Speaker 1: to live together beforehand. You don't have to have all
- 34:14Speaker 1: those boxes checked.
- 34:14Speaker 2: But again, like you know, don't take my blanket statement
- 34:17Speaker 2: as you know this how you live your life again,
- 34:19Speaker 2: I'm done controlling how to live, how to tell people
- 34:21Speaker 2: how to live their lives.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Well that's kind of like okay, well that, but also
- 34:24Speaker 1: I think I'm done trying to control a certain timeline.
- 34:27Speaker 1: That's where I've come into this. I'm like, you know,
- 34:30Speaker 1: some people if they heard the situation, like if you
- 34:32Speaker 1: heard the podcast in January versus the podcast now, like
- 34:36Speaker 1: what the hell, Scott, what do you do? I'm letting
- 34:39Speaker 1: life show me how this journey is supposed to go.
- 34:41Speaker 1: It's beautiful, that's literally it. Instead of fighting it because
- 34:44Speaker 1: I had a certain timeline in my head, No, just
- 34:47Speaker 1: let go and when it feels right, go for it.
- 34:51Speaker 1: One of the things we talked about before we even
- 34:53Speaker 1: hopped on this was I like this idea of the
- 34:56Speaker 1: things that you find that you're insecure about no one
- 35:00Speaker 1: knows about. Oh yeah, I made a note about this,
- 35:02Speaker 1: and I do want to talk about more off campus
- 35:04Speaker 1: stuff because we still need to talk about the scenes
- 35:06Speaker 1: that are like what are the scenes that especially for
- 35:09Speaker 1: a woman mind, They're like, that is it.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I guess we have to finish. You have to finish
- 35:13Speaker 2: the series. I've watched it like four times already, I'm
- 35:15Speaker 2: like lapping you.
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'm very close to being I'm on episode six. What
- 35:18Speaker 1: is there eight episodes?
- 35:19Speaker 2: There's eight episodes. Episode six is really fun. Episode seven
- 35:22Speaker 2: and eight are a little bit heavier. And then in
- 35:24Speaker 2: the beginning of episode eight, Oh my god, I need you.
- 35:26Speaker 2: When you start episode eight, I just want you to
- 35:29Speaker 2: set up your iPhone camera for like the first five minutes,
- 35:32Speaker 2: so I just want to get your live reaction.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Oh boy, Okay, So we'll get to those things. And
- 35:36Speaker 1: also this is a good like if you somebody who's
- 35:38Speaker 1: messaging me on Instagram, they're like, what's that show off
- 35:41Speaker 1: campus Amazon Prime? That's one we're talking about probably tomorrow.
- 35:44Speaker 1: So I feel like I'm going to finish it today.
- 35:46Speaker 1: But I do want to go back to the topic
- 35:47Speaker 1: of the things that no one knows that we're insecured about,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and I'm very curious of because Abby brought this up.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Why did you bring this up?
- 35:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so I made a note of this in my
- 35:55Speaker 2: phone because when Scott and I sit down to the podcast,
- 35:57Speaker 2: I think I just find it so easy to just
- 35:59Speaker 2: get in a conversation with you that I don't really
- 36:01Speaker 2: think about topics specifically. But I've started making notes where
- 36:04Speaker 2: I'm like, I feel like last year we were trying
- 36:05Speaker 2: to figure out what we wanted to or now last
- 36:07Speaker 2: year last week we wanted to we were trying to
- 36:09Speaker 2: figure out what to talk about. So I'm like, when
- 36:10Speaker 2: I have something that I think would be interesting to
- 36:12Speaker 2: bring up, I'm like, let me just make a note
- 36:14Speaker 2: of it. And so all my notes app just has
- 36:17Speaker 2: unfiltered notes, and it just has the dumbest headlines. My
- 36:21Speaker 2: first one platismal bands, second one abduction story, third secret
- 36:25Speaker 2: Tampa club, like all these dumb things that I'm like, oh,
- 36:28Speaker 2: these are things I should bring up. And so I
- 36:31Speaker 2: was watching one of our Instagram videos that we posted
- 36:35Speaker 2: for Beatbox, because you know how we're giving away that Bonnaroo. Yes,
- 36:38Speaker 2: that we're giving away a Bonnaroo pass for four people
- 36:42Speaker 2: to be able to go to the music festival. You
- 36:44Speaker 2: will give you one thousand dollars five hundred dollars to
- 36:47Speaker 2: drive there for a guest gift card. So shout out Beatbox,
- 36:50Speaker 2: thank you for everything you've done for us.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and sign up for that mymagic ninety four to
- 36:53Speaker 1: nine dot com if you want that trip.
- 36:55Speaker 2: And so on Instagram, our sales team was like, Hey,
- 36:57Speaker 2: we really need you guys to be pushing this Beatbox
- 37:00Speaker 2: because they were one of our new clients. We're like, yeah, absolutely,
- 37:02Speaker 2: So we put like fifteen videos out all in one day,
- 37:04Speaker 2: and one of them was a video that it was
- 37:07Speaker 2: shut and directed by me ex kidding. It's the one
- 37:10Speaker 2: where I'm talking about Beatbox for the best Summer Ever.
- 37:13Speaker 1: You know that video? Yeah, like the office kind of themed.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I would love for you to watch that video, and
- 37:18Speaker 2: I've seen it so many times because I always do
- 37:21Speaker 2: that when I create something. I'm like, how are people
- 37:22Speaker 2: perceiving this? Watch this video, and I would love for
- 37:26Speaker 2: you to pinpoint what you think I'm insecure about from
- 37:29Speaker 2: this video?
- 37:29Speaker 1: You want me to pinpoint your insecurity? Okay, now that's
- 37:32Speaker 1: this could get messy. That could get very messy because
- 37:34Speaker 1: I have definitely there's things in my life that I
- 37:37Speaker 1: think I've grown to be able to handle, but I
- 37:40Speaker 1: still don't want somebody to point it out. That's okay.
- 37:43Speaker 2: So it's something that I have plans on fixing. So
- 37:45Speaker 2: that's why I'm comfortable talking about it.
- 37:47Speaker 1: You have plans on fixing, h it is.
- 37:49Speaker 2: A part of It's on me. There's something I'm insecure
- 37:52Speaker 2: about that. I'm ready to handle.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, let me go.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Ahead and call me ugly in fifteen different languages.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I'm not gonna call you. I'm watching the video right now.
- 38:02Speaker 1: This is tough because I didn't see anything. Oh what,
- 38:07Speaker 1: I don't know. This feels really rough. I don't like
- 38:09Speaker 1: to I don't like this.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Be gentle, That's what I'm saying.
- 38:13Speaker 1: You told me to call out your insecurity. Is it
- 38:16Speaker 1: your is it your fingernails? Oh?
- 38:19Speaker 2: Because I was talking about the manicure thing. Yeah, no, okay,
- 38:22Speaker 2: that I do need to start getting weekly manicures after
- 38:24Speaker 2: that interview, because I'm like, I realize they're.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Looking honestly, I might be doing the same thing. What
- 38:27Speaker 1: is it?
- 38:28Speaker 2: It's my plaitismal bands.
- 38:30Speaker 1: What does that even mean?
- 38:31Speaker 2: So? Your platismal bands are the muscles that connect your
- 38:35Speaker 2: neck to your chest. I think I'm probably getting this
- 38:38Speaker 2: wrong anatomically, but when I'm talking, I have these really
- 38:41Speaker 2: thick plaitismal bands and my neck that are like pulling
- 38:44Speaker 2: down on my face and you can fix them with botox.
- 38:47Speaker 2: And the whole time I'm watching this, I'm like, oh
- 38:49Speaker 2: my god, my platismal bands are I look like. I'm like,
- 38:52Speaker 2: you know that meme of the guy with the vein
- 38:53Speaker 2: popping out of his forehead, and he's like, that's what
- 38:56Speaker 2: I look like when I talk about because my plotitismal
- 38:58Speaker 2: bands are so strong, I'm like, gee.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I would have never have guessed that.
- 39:02Speaker 2: But that's what's so funny is I'm watching this and
- 39:04Speaker 2: it's the only thing I can see in this video
- 39:06Speaker 2: is my fucking platismal bands go like like screaming out
- 39:10Speaker 2: of my neck that I'm like, I need to go
- 39:11Speaker 2: to my talks lady immediately see.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I like the intensity of it, but I didn't know
- 39:16Speaker 1: you could actually do anything to fix it.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you can do botox in it. It's supposed to
- 39:20Speaker 2: snatch your jawl in a little bit.
- 39:21Speaker 1: You know what, if that's what makes you feel, If
- 39:24Speaker 1: it makes you feel better than who am I to
- 39:26Speaker 1: say that you don't need it? But you know what,
- 39:28Speaker 1: I get it because I have like videos of me
- 39:30Speaker 1: speaking and I have a vein on the side of
- 39:31Speaker 1: my neck that looks like the Grand Canyon.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I don't know that you can fix your.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Vein that I can't fix, but I have noticed it.
- 39:37Speaker 1: But I'm like, watching this video, I'm like, okay, I mean,
- 39:39Speaker 1: but you're supposed to have that intention.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I don't say that you notice every kidding.
- 39:43Speaker 1: No, I don't see anything.
- 39:44Speaker 2: But the thing is, I'm not even being that intense.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I'm just kind of like getting into it. But my
- 39:48Speaker 2: platismal bands are so strong that it looks like I'm
- 39:50Speaker 2: having an aneurysm every time I open my mouth. I'm like,
- 39:53Speaker 2: do I look like that all the time?
- 39:55Speaker 1: Gosh, well, you know what, then I guess get that
- 39:57Speaker 1: botox girl.
- 40:00Speaker 2: I'm not even arguing with you on that.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I'm like, I would never have noted. I literally didn't
- 40:04Speaker 1: think that one time. It's so funny, but I do understand.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I think something that let's see something that I get
- 40:09Speaker 1: insecure about that nobody would ever notice. And I wrote
- 40:12Speaker 1: this down, I said, I hate and this is I
- 40:15Speaker 1: talked to Abby about this because I learned this hack
- 40:17Speaker 1: way too late in life that my lips get way
- 40:19Speaker 1: too dry, like all of a sudden, they get like
- 40:21Speaker 1: cracked up, and I'm like, ew, I okay.
- 40:24Speaker 2: The thing is, I wouldn't notice that because I'm not
- 40:25Speaker 2: over here with a microscoping, like I wonder how much
- 40:27Speaker 2: dead skin Scott he has on his lips.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Well, what it does make me wonder if like people
- 40:30Speaker 1: are looking at it like the corner of my mouth, like,
- 40:32Speaker 1: oh my god, like bro get some chaffstick, and I'm
- 40:34Speaker 1: like I do. But I was telling Abby, I was like,
- 40:36Speaker 1: what the big hack I learned is I went on
- 40:38Speaker 1: CHATCHBT and I was like, I want to fix this.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I want to make sure, especially when I kiss my lady,
- 40:42Speaker 1: that is really nice, it's always enjoyable. And it was like,
- 40:45Speaker 1: get this thing of vacoline, do a whole bunch of
- 40:48Speaker 1: it before you go to bed, wake up, put more on.
- 40:51Speaker 1: So I'm a vacalline fiend right now.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I remember how you're calling it a hack, and it's
- 40:54Speaker 2: just a basics of hygiene.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Skill because I feel like there are things that, especially
- 40:58Speaker 1: as you grow up as a woman, that like it's
- 41:00Speaker 1: like a whole skin care routine. I didn't start wearing
- 41:03Speaker 1: face moisturizer until I was like twenty three.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Well, you're way ahead of most guys, because most duds
- 41:08Speaker 2: aren't even wearing face moisturizer until they're like in their eighties. Well,
- 41:11Speaker 2: they're like, oh, maybe I should do something about this.
- 41:12Speaker 2: They're like halfway in the grave. They're like, maybe I
- 41:14Speaker 2: should moisturizein could I get that there's a couple of
- 41:16Speaker 2: age spots showing. Let me get some vitamin C.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Well, that's something that's definitely come to my attention over
- 41:20Speaker 1: the past year. And the other thing is, and I've
- 41:23Speaker 1: did this for a long time, like I don't like
- 41:24Speaker 1: my feet, so like your feet. With your feet, I
- 41:28Speaker 1: don't know, I just don't like them.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I'm just looking at your feet.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I don't know. But if we were at a pool
- 41:32Speaker 1: or we were at a pool party on Sunday, what
- 41:34Speaker 1: was I wearing? I was wearing shoes. No, I wasn't
- 41:37Speaker 1: wearing flip flops.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Oh you did have sneakers on.
- 41:39Speaker 1: You didn't catch me. I've gotten better about this, but
- 41:42Speaker 1: for a majority of my life I was not a
- 41:44Speaker 1: big fan of like having my open toes out.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Well, yeah, men with their toes out is a little iky.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I think so too, And I don't want to be
- 41:51Speaker 1: that guy with his toes out. Now I don't have
- 41:54Speaker 1: bad looking feet, yeah, but for the most part, I'm like,
- 41:56Speaker 1: I'm not gonna let these, especially if the talents are out.
- 41:59Speaker 2: I just assumed you weren't get them away for free.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Oh no, I'll now, no, I have had somebody offer
- 42:03Speaker 1: to pay, and so they are you did and how much?
- 42:07Speaker 1: Well I told them five hundred dollars and they said,
- 42:10Speaker 1: oh I gotta get is this Oh this is years ago.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Five hundred dollars is cheap as hell?
- 42:15Speaker 1: Well, I mean, if you're gonna get one picture of
- 42:17Speaker 1: my foot five hundred bucks, that's all I gotta do
- 42:19Speaker 1: is go click said I'll take a five hundred dollars
- 42:21Speaker 1: little payment, and venmo Hell yeah, not anymore. I don't
- 42:24Speaker 1: know who's gonna hear this and say like, oh I
- 42:25Speaker 1: want to get that. I'd have to talk to that
- 42:26Speaker 1: with my partner. I'm not And that was when I
- 42:28Speaker 1: was a producer and barely making anything. I was like,
- 42:32Speaker 1: I will take a little chatter if it goes that distance,
- 42:35Speaker 1: but those would be like the two things. I don't
- 42:37Speaker 1: know if I'm necessarily. I was insecure about my teeth
- 42:39Speaker 1: for a while and then I got in VISI line
- 42:42Speaker 1: and thanks to the radio station, that kind of fixed
- 42:45Speaker 1: that problem.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Yeah, your tee look great, thank you.
- 42:47Speaker 1: And whenever I go to the dentist, that kind of
- 42:49Speaker 1: fix Like every now and then I get like coffee
- 42:51Speaker 1: stains and then the dentist just takes care of it immediately,
- 42:53Speaker 1: and that insecurity goes right out the door. But I
- 42:56Speaker 1: don't know if anybody notices those things. Those are little things.
- 42:59Speaker 2: I mean, maybe your lady because she's uplose and personal
- 43:01Speaker 2: with you.
- 43:02Speaker 1: M yeah, I guess, but that makes it even worse.
- 43:06Speaker 1: I'm like, now I really want to fix it. I'le
- 43:08Speaker 1: go me go ahead and call my dentist and get
- 43:09Speaker 1: that appointment moved up. That's in a couple of weeks.
- 43:11Speaker 1: But those are like usually the only things. Is there
- 43:13Speaker 1: any other el Is there any other things that you've
- 43:16Speaker 1: noticed that nobody else would notice.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Well, I just remember watching that video over and over
- 43:20Speaker 2: again and being like, oh my god, my polotismal bands
- 43:22Speaker 2: are like going insane. And I do realize I have
- 43:25Speaker 2: started to notice. I like, I pulled down on the
- 43:27Speaker 2: lower half of my face a lot. I'm like, I
- 43:28Speaker 2: really do need to get that handled with some talks.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I didn't know talks could do that. I guess ToxS
- 43:33Speaker 1: could handle everything.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Talks can do a lot of things, Like I'm finally
- 43:36Speaker 2: settling into the bowtox I got in my forehead because
- 43:38Speaker 2: I didn't like it at first. Actually told my therapist,
- 43:40Speaker 2: I'm like, I think it's making me dumber the bowtox. Yeah,
- 43:43Speaker 2: because it freezes your forehead. That I felt like it
- 43:45Speaker 2: was making me feel less expressive and therefore like more
- 43:48Speaker 2: emotionally numb. Oh, and so I was like, I don't
- 43:50Speaker 2: think I like it, but I'm starting to get a
- 43:52Speaker 2: little bit more movement to where I think I do
- 43:54Speaker 2: like it, because I will say I do love not
- 43:57Speaker 2: having the elevens. I had really aggressive elevens.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Now, are you going to do it again?
- 44:02Speaker 2: I will have to know. I probably will in August,
- 44:04Speaker 2: right before I go to Italy.
- 44:06Speaker 1: M okay, and yeah, nobody has four headlines in Italy. Yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 1: they're all just perfect. It's all a oil thing over there.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I was trying to what is the other thing that
- 44:15Speaker 1: I had that was insecure about, as like it was
- 44:18Speaker 1: something with my head or something with my face. Now
- 44:21Speaker 1: it just completely left my brain. It's gone. So is
- 44:24Speaker 1: there something you see in me that you should?
- 44:26Speaker 2: Well? Sorry? Chapter one. It's just funny the dys morphia
- 44:30Speaker 2: that we had with ourselves because I remember going on
- 44:33Speaker 2: my sister in law's bachelorette party and feeling so just
- 44:36Speaker 2: like gross and icky, and then someone showed me a
- 44:38Speaker 2: photo of me and a bikini. I was like, I'm hot, yeah,
- 44:41Speaker 2: but like you would never know from the photo that
- 44:43Speaker 2: I posted that I hadn't like shat in seven days.
- 44:45Speaker 2: I was like, Oh my god, I'm a gonna look pregnant.
- 44:47Speaker 2: And I also just kind of feel a little ichy
- 44:48Speaker 2: and gross and my diet hasn't been on point. And
- 44:50Speaker 2: then someone took a photo of me. I was like, oh,
- 44:52Speaker 2: I look amazing. I actually get that like every time,
- 44:54Speaker 2: all the time. Body just morphia is crazy.
- 44:56Speaker 1: It is crazy. But then it's like I think what
- 44:59Speaker 1: I had I have to I remind myself of is
- 45:01Speaker 1: like the bodies that we're in right now, we're gonna
- 45:03Speaker 1: get like ten years older and be like, the hell
- 45:05Speaker 1: were you complaining about it?
- 45:06Speaker 2: I know, but ten years from now, I'm not in
- 45:08Speaker 2: this body because it is I think it's less about
- 45:10Speaker 2: how you look and more of how you feel in
- 45:11Speaker 2: your body. That's it, And it's just like are you
- 45:13Speaker 2: doing the things you know you need to do to
- 45:15Speaker 2: feel good? And I think a lot of times when
- 45:17Speaker 2: I feel ichy my body, it's because I know I'm
- 45:19Speaker 2: not being as disciplined as I could be. I get that,
- 45:21Speaker 2: and I don't mean that like an eedy type way,
- 45:23Speaker 2: like I need to be more stricter, but just like
- 45:24Speaker 2: you know, if I'm if I'm not like eating the
- 45:27Speaker 2: right foods, I'm gonna feel gross.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Correct, that's literally just because the food of quality. Like
- 45:31Speaker 1: I do the same thing if like I'm not sleeping,
- 45:33Speaker 1: which I haven't been great really recently, or like getting
- 45:35Speaker 1: consistent workouts in, or if I'm eating kind of all
- 45:38Speaker 1: over the place, Like it's a feeling. It's not even
- 45:40Speaker 1: a look, Like the look is one thing. I felt
- 45:42Speaker 1: that way. It's so stupid, but I got it. Like
- 45:45Speaker 1: at the pool party, I was like, hmmm, I'm not
- 45:48Speaker 1: feeling my best. You didn't, no, not really, I mean
- 45:51Speaker 1: I I don't know. I didn't feel like it was
- 45:54Speaker 1: my best kind of deal. I kind of felt like
- 45:56Speaker 1: I was like just all over the place. My consistency
- 45:59Speaker 1: has been all over the place. I get that in
- 46:01Speaker 1: my life. But I was like I saw like some
- 46:03Speaker 1: pictures and like videos, I was like, okay, you're in
- 46:05Speaker 1: your head.
- 46:06Speaker 2: It was a feeling, yeah, Because it's hard when you
- 46:08Speaker 2: feel that way because then you just don't think that
- 46:10Speaker 2: everything is tinted by that, you start seeing your body
- 46:12Speaker 2: through the lens of oh I feel icky. Yeah, whereas
- 46:15Speaker 2: then like you look back in two weeks and you go, oh,
- 46:16Speaker 2: I look fine.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Yeah, You're like, oh wait, that's what I was complaining about,
- 46:19Speaker 1: Like I'm good.
- 46:20Speaker 2: You take those glasses off and you're like, oh, I
- 46:21Speaker 2: actually look fine. Yeah. Except for these plaitismal bands, My
- 46:24Speaker 2: political bands still look bad.
- 46:26Speaker 1: The one thing I could think of myself is I
- 46:30Speaker 1: don't like when people make comments about my lips. That's
- 46:33Speaker 1: the one.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Who's making comments about your lips.
- 46:34Speaker 1: I've been told I got little lips, and I'm like.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Who told you that? Multiple people, like girlfriends uh in
- 46:41Speaker 2: the past, Like you have normal sized lips for your face?
- 46:44Speaker 1: I think so too. Imagine if they were gigantic, you're
- 46:46Speaker 1: gonna get lip filler. No, I'm not gonna get it.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I can't think of anything more unattractive than a man
- 46:50Speaker 2: would lip filler.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Could you imagine I come in here with big, old,
- 46:53Speaker 1: perfect lips? Yeah? I didn't know even has it that?
- 46:56Speaker 1: And then friends would make like little comments, I'm like
- 46:59Speaker 1: what I'm I think they're fine. I've grown to love them.
- 47:03Speaker 1: But it is one of those things where I'm like, oh.
- 47:05Speaker 2: That's crazy that someone would say that to you.
- 47:07Speaker 1: People have said the craziest things to me, like what
- 47:09Speaker 1: else the other one?
- 47:10Speaker 2: Oh?
- 47:10Speaker 1: Wow, this is fun. Let's see. Growing up, I had
- 47:14Speaker 1: multiple skin problems and so friends would call me like Rudolph,
- 47:18Speaker 1: that was fun.
- 47:19Speaker 2: That's pretty messed up.
- 47:20Speaker 1: That was pretty messed up. That one sucked because that
- 47:22Speaker 1: one I couldn't do anything about. My face is just
- 47:23Speaker 1: constantly read all the time, and people would be like,
- 47:26Speaker 1: what's wrong with your face? I'm like, I don't. I
- 47:29Speaker 1: don't know what do you want me to do? I
- 47:31Speaker 1: have no idea? All right, well do you think I
- 47:32Speaker 1: was gonna say it and fix it? That sucked? You know?
- 47:36Speaker 1: That led into acne problems. That sucked. But we grown
- 47:39Speaker 1: past those things. Mm hm Now I don't really care now.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm kind of pretty happy with how it
- 47:43Speaker 1: turned out.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think most women are cognizant enough to
- 47:46Speaker 2: not say something and be like, hey, have you thought
- 47:48Speaker 2: about blah blah blah blah blah, which is nice. I
- 47:50Speaker 2: do get a lot of comments. People are very opinionated
- 47:52Speaker 2: about my hair in a good way. I mean in
- 47:55Speaker 2: like they have strong opinions. About it, like, some people
- 47:58Speaker 2: want me to chop it. Some people don't like my bag,
- 48:00Speaker 2: some people don't think I style my bang's right, and listen,
- 48:02Speaker 2: here's hard. If you ever true style it before, it's tough.
- 48:04Speaker 2: And sometimes your hair looks great, sometimes it doesn't.
- 48:06Speaker 1: M I feel like I'm in that chapter right now.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Like as we talked about the float thing, I was
- 48:10Speaker 1: just in the mirror in the bathroom. I was like, oh,
- 48:12Speaker 1: this is gonna be a rough chapter as like trying
- 48:15Speaker 1: to grow it out. But then you got to like
- 48:17Speaker 1: go through the phase of like in between.
- 48:19Speaker 2: So worth that hockey hair is so big right now
- 48:21Speaker 2: with off campus, I.
- 48:22Speaker 1: Just it's kind of one of those things. It's like
- 48:23Speaker 1: a gamble. Does it end up like that? I don't know.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing. You can cut it off and
- 48:27Speaker 2: then you'll have that memory of, oh, remember when I
- 48:29Speaker 2: was trying to get hockey flow.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Well that's why I want to see what your
- 48:32Speaker 1: girl says about the I needed you to go see her.
- 48:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna first shoot her a message and say, hey,
- 48:40Speaker 1: I'm a dude. Do you think you could like see me?
- 48:44Speaker 1: And is this a possibility?
- 48:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 48:45Speaker 1: And she's like absolutely, like come in, or she can refer.
- 48:48Speaker 2: You to somebody at her salon and be like.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Hey, this person would be able to get it right. Yeah. Yeah,
- 48:52Speaker 1: because I have no idea about the first steps of
- 48:54Speaker 1: being like layers.
- 48:56Speaker 2: No, it's not layers. I think it's just letting it grow,
- 49:00Speaker 2: like not cutting it so much, like you know, really
- 49:02Speaker 2: being chill with the scissors and the buzzer or whatever,
- 49:05Speaker 2: the razor, and but just cutting it in a certain
- 49:07Speaker 2: way that when it grows out, it doesn't look weird,
- 49:10Speaker 2: like she'll probably have to like trim the sides a
- 49:12Speaker 2: little bit. Yeah, but maybe it's a trimming of the
- 49:14Speaker 2: sides rather than a full on like biz.
- 49:17Speaker 1: That's what I'm thinking. Because I looked at the mirror,
- 49:18Speaker 1: I was like, God, I'm sorry to get a little
- 49:20Speaker 1: poofy headed. Yeah, I don't want that.
- 49:21Speaker 2: But I wasn't aware this was something every man could accomplish.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I thought you were just born, like, oh, you came
- 49:26Speaker 2: out the womb with hockey.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Hair or not.
- 49:28Speaker 2: I didn't realize like guys like you could grow it out.
- 49:31Speaker 1: I don't know, I literally don't. I have no idea.
- 49:33Speaker 1: That's why we're going on this adventure.
- 49:34Speaker 2: But I love it. I love that hockey hair is
- 49:36Speaker 2: taking off because that's my that's my style.
- 49:37Speaker 1: And I love that. And that's what I was telling
- 49:39Speaker 1: my lady. I was like, if I have it right now,
