- 1:47Speaker 1: To reach out to us on one of my gmails,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and then we made it happen. We hopped on a
- 1:51Speaker 1: zoom call with the squad. And I love the NBA.
- 1:54Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I loved the NBA more
- 1:56Speaker 1: than any other sport. So to see it here dream
- 1:59Speaker 1: come true.
- 2:00Speaker 4: God, it's beautiful.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Got to replicate all the photos of the trophy.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Have to don't have a choice one way or the other.
- 2:06Speaker 4: That thing, by the way, sneaky heavy, sneaky heavy thing
- 2:10Speaker 4: right there, thirty pounds. The weight distribution is a little
- 2:13Speaker 4: bit crazy. I'm very surprised Kevin Durant was able to
- 2:15Speaker 4: lift that thing up after only doing one eighty five
- 2:17Speaker 4: zero times.
- 2:18Speaker 2: All the championship winners that have touched this trophy, it is.
- 2:22Speaker 2: We're sitting with history right now, right and by the way,
- 2:25Speaker 2: you know who else is a champion? Who's champion Clay Matthews.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Guess Matthews, Yes, sir, yes, sir, Thank you.
- 2:32Speaker 4: The great setup and there's something else is set up
- 2:35Speaker 4: to massive news in the bust one with the Boys
- 2:37Speaker 4: universe this fall the locker room, myself will Compton Delaney
- 2:43Speaker 4: Walker and our fourth chair, consistent fourth chair will be
- 2:46Speaker 4: none other than super Bowl champion with beautiful hair Clay
- 2:49Speaker 4: Matthews as well and week out dude, fired up, fired Up.
- 3:00Speaker 4: It turns into I meet you at a charity event.
- 3:03Speaker 4: We talk. I have sparkles in my eyes talking to
- 3:05Speaker 4: v Clay Matthews, the guy who gave you my Welcome
- 3:07Speaker 4: to the NFL moment to get to you on the bus.
- 3:10Speaker 4: You're so scared to come on the bus. You have
- 3:11Speaker 4: to bring your brother one time.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Then all of a.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Sudden you get on. You come in the locker room.
- 3:15Speaker 4: You loved it, You're about it, like I want. I know,
- 3:17Speaker 4: we're just hanging out. This is just the boys hanging
- 3:19Speaker 4: out today, but I do want to talk about like
- 3:20Speaker 4: the process of having you come and like be a
- 3:23Speaker 4: part of the locker room.
- 3:23Speaker 5: With us, because it is awesome Yeah. Well, I mean,
- 3:26Speaker 5: like I told you coming on the first time, I've
- 3:28Speaker 5: always been real reserved with the media. I just I
- 3:31Speaker 5: like to separate my public in private life. That's why
- 3:34Speaker 5: I don't really speak about you know, my wife and
- 3:36Speaker 5: kids and and kind of our day to day operations,
- 3:39Speaker 5: which is the exact opposite of you guys. You got
- 3:41Speaker 5: will farting in the mic. You know, you just doing
- 3:44Speaker 5: your things. So but yeah, I man, what was great
- 3:48Speaker 5: about the podcasting world and just being a part of
- 3:50Speaker 5: this is it there It's a comfortable environment where you
- 3:53Speaker 5: kind of just speak your mind. There's no producer in
- 3:56Speaker 5: your ear talking about best dressed or you know, other
- 4:00Speaker 5: hot button topics.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Hey, thirty seconds, they're coming to you next you have
- 4:03Speaker 4: a talk.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Yeah. So and then I had I had a great
- 4:06Speaker 5: time doing the locker room. It just I mean, you
- 4:09Speaker 5: presented the offer to me, and I jumped on it.
- 4:11Speaker 5: So I'm excited. I'm looking forward to it. I think
- 4:13Speaker 5: it'll be a good uh good mix of the boys.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Was it the little the little popper that brought you back?
- 4:18Speaker 5: No, that made me want to demand uh, you know, compensation,
- 4:22Speaker 5: guaranteed compensation. Yeah, yeah, but uh that's tonight yeah, we.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Need some injury guarantees in this deal.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Yeah, no doubt. But it was awesome. Like having you
- 4:32Speaker 4: on the first time and knowing you don't do a
- 4:34Speaker 4: whole lot of media, it was just cool to kind
- 4:36Speaker 4: of dive into that the USC world, the packers, all
- 4:38Speaker 4: that stuff, and then to see your curiosity and then
- 4:41Speaker 4: the locker room and then seeing how much like how
- 4:44Speaker 4: prepared you are as a human. Like when we're hey,
- 4:46Speaker 4: you should come in the locker room, we talk about bets.
- 4:48Speaker 4: She's like, okay, what do we do? It's like, really,
- 4:49Speaker 4: we just watched the games and we talked about who
- 4:51Speaker 4: we think is gonna win next based on the odds
- 4:53Speaker 4: for the next weekend. You came on did and you
- 4:55Speaker 4: you just flood with the boys like it was nothing good.
- 4:57Speaker 2: It was.
- 4:57Speaker 4: It was great.
- 4:58Speaker 2: You know who helps give give picks other than football?
- 5:02Speaker 2: Who Clay does for the NBA?
- 5:04Speaker 5: Well, my okay, so I mentioned this when we were
- 5:07Speaker 5: on the locker my brother. No, I'm not, I'm not.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't talk about your brother. We have a guy.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Oh all right, we'll just say we have a guy.
- 5:15Speaker 5: We have a guy who gives me picks right between
- 5:17Speaker 5: the lines here and he's a stud when it comes
- 5:20Speaker 5: to the NBA. He stayed with us for Thanksgiving one time,
- 5:22Speaker 5: him and his family. They're up there in Cleveland. But man,
- 5:25Speaker 5: the amount of research, it's not just a gut feeling,
- 5:27Speaker 5: the amount of research that goes into it. Minutes played
- 5:30Speaker 5: against zone defense, first man, when going up against the
- 5:32Speaker 5: seven foot defender, whatever it is in the NBA. And
- 5:34Speaker 5: so he has some some parlays that hit. Now we
- 5:38Speaker 5: we we've been unlucky lately, been unlucky. And then yeah,
- 5:42Speaker 5: it's been tough lately. That's why the NBA is so
- 5:44Speaker 5: difficult to predict. But but yeah, he's been helped me
- 5:47Speaker 5: out with some bets. And then I gave I should
- 5:50Speaker 5: have helped you with your UFC you know bets that
- 5:53Speaker 5: you put out this weekend because I'm a big UFC fan.
- 5:55Speaker 5: But man, that was That was a tough night for
- 5:58Speaker 5: tough card. Tough card took a few losses, but we're
- 6:01Speaker 5: gonna bounce back.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Parlay lost right away.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Yeah, the UFC, the UFC card and a i'll say names,
- 6:07Speaker 4: Zaid Zai gave me that parlay. I reached out to day.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Zaid is this cat from Chicago who's always in Vegas.
- 6:13Speaker 4: When I'm in Vegas, he's like, Taylor, I got all
- 6:14Speaker 4: the picks. I know, I know everything. And then every
- 6:16Speaker 4: time I don't bet with him, and he's like, you
- 6:18Speaker 4: should hit. I was seven for seven, blah blah blah.
- 6:20Speaker 4: If he parlayed that, you bet ten one hundred dollars,
- 6:22Speaker 4: there's a million dollars, all these different things. Then every
- 6:24Speaker 4: time I do bet with him, it never works out.
- 6:27Speaker 4: So Zay and I gotta do some sage or something
- 6:29Speaker 4: like that. It's it's just not good.
- 6:31Speaker 5: I would like you to come to me though moving forward,
- 6:33Speaker 5: not to say that was gonna be right, but I'd
- 6:34Speaker 5: like to give my impact. Yes, I'd like to give
- 6:36Speaker 5: my input.
- 6:36Speaker 4: So from here on out UFC series, every Ufcrian dual
- 6:39Speaker 4: parlay that we put together, Clay Matthews will have his
- 6:41Speaker 4: hand on me. Also, this interview is brought to us
- 6:44Speaker 4: by bud Light, but Light is always brewed for with
- 6:46Speaker 4: four simple ingredients for a clean Chris taste. Bud Light
- 6:49Speaker 4: is the official beer sponsor of the NFL, the NFL
- 6:52Speaker 4: Draft Tight End University UH, the UFC Shane Gillis is
- 6:56Speaker 4: twenty twenty five Tour, and bud Light has partners including
- 6:58Speaker 4: Peyton Manning, George kitt, Baker, Mayfield and Smith, Shane Gillis,
- 7:02Speaker 4: Post Malone, Dustin Porier stuck him now, and bud Light
- 7:05Speaker 4: had to www dot butt bud Light dot com, Ford
- 7:08Speaker 4: slash located to find a store near to you. Is
- 7:10Speaker 4: it a drink? He's doing joy? Sorry, we had to
- 7:12Speaker 4: get that out of that. We had to do that.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Love bud Light. But the boys are you see them
- 7:16Speaker 4: highlighting it on me?
- 7:17Speaker 2: Does our guy Brian?
- 7:19Speaker 5: Like?
- 7:19Speaker 2: Does our guy? Does he have a pick for the
- 7:22Speaker 2: NBA Finals? Like? Who's gonna win it all?
- 7:25Speaker 5: Do you want me to do you?
- 7:26Speaker 2: Do you have a Do you have a prediction? Well,
- 7:28Speaker 2: I know you like to follow it too.
- 7:29Speaker 5: I think the Celtics are gonna win. I know they're down,
- 7:32Speaker 5: you know they it's now two to one, but I
- 7:34Speaker 5: think the Celtics are just that good in Annapolis is looking
- 7:38Speaker 5: great right now, up three to one, but I think
- 7:41Speaker 5: it's gonna be Boston again.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Okay, how do you feel about that?
- 7:45Speaker 2: I love his pick? I love love pick. Yeah.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Like one of the reasons why you love that pick?
- 7:50Speaker 2: My boy JJ reddicks out of it. The Lakers are
- 7:52Speaker 2: out of it. So you know, I don't really have
- 7:54Speaker 2: a dog in the fight. So I'm gonna lean on
- 7:56Speaker 2: my dog Clay and our guy that we won't mention
- 8:00Speaker 2: in their picks, because last week we did. He had
- 8:02Speaker 2: a he had a He just drops every so often,
- 8:04Speaker 2: he'll drop a parlay and he'll say, this is it,
- 8:07Speaker 2: this is the one.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Yeah, but then hey, he doesn't give up. He's not discouraged.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Because even it was on Friday, and so it was like,
- 8:15Speaker 2: let's all consolidate, We're all gonna do pizza Friday together
- 8:17Speaker 2: to make sure this parlay hits. And I want to say,
- 8:20Speaker 2: every leg except one did not hit.
- 8:22Speaker 5: So it was it was close.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it was close.
- 8:24Speaker 4: He always want every single one except for maybe the
- 8:27Speaker 4: last one.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Yeah. But I don't necessarily have a dog in the
- 8:30Speaker 2: fight with the NBA. I'm more so just like watching
- 8:32Speaker 2: the athletes, do you guys see.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Uh, watching the athletes, just watching them boys around.
- 8:36Speaker 2: What's what's his name? And yeah, Anthony Edwards him going
- 8:41Speaker 2: up top. I didn't know he was only six three?
- 8:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, yeah, what college did he go there?
- 8:48Speaker 2: I have no clue.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Georgia, Georgia. Yeah, that dunk and the shout out to
- 8:56Speaker 1: the Minnesota team, their social media team because they crush
- 8:59Speaker 1: it with him. But Clay, how do you feel about it?
- 9:02Speaker 5: I like him, I like him up your alley swagger.
- 9:05Speaker 5: I like did you see the clip with when he
- 9:07Speaker 5: was in front of Obama? Yeah, Ron talking about he's
- 9:10Speaker 5: that man or that dude or whatever he said. I
- 9:13Speaker 5: love it. I think they need more of that in
- 9:15Speaker 5: the NBA. And then you saw him get after Lebron
- 9:17Speaker 5: kind of pushing him a little bit. Oh here he goes.
- 9:19Speaker 5: This is a great clip right here, just kind of
- 9:21Speaker 5: showing his mentality. I feel like we don't get that
- 9:23Speaker 5: enough anymore, at least viewership. You know, we're always trying
- 9:26Speaker 5: to go to we these athletes are trying to go
- 9:29Speaker 5: to the free throw line, you know, flopping and stuff,
- 9:32Speaker 5: and I feel like a man.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Is he's got some old school in him.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a there's a conversations that always takes place
- 9:39Speaker 4: around the bus, usually JP and Will about football and
- 9:43Speaker 4: NBA and NBA guys could play in the NFL. What's
- 9:47Speaker 4: your take on NBA guys playing in the NFL? NBA guys,
- 9:51Speaker 4: can they do it at a high level?
- 9:53Speaker 5: You mean, just like throwing them out there or if
- 9:55Speaker 5: they like trained to become trained to because I thin
- 10:00Speaker 5: them to become first of all, you have to have,
- 10:01Speaker 5: you know, somebody who can take the hits. And I
- 10:03Speaker 5: think that's that's hard to quantify, you know, without seeing
- 10:08Speaker 5: what they what they can handle. But from an athletic perspective, absolutely,
- 10:11Speaker 5: I think they could.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Athletically, they could, for sure, but there's something different about football,
- 10:16Speaker 4: the physicality of that, Like it's not it's not for everybody, right, you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Just can't do it.
- 10:20Speaker 4: And you can't just take a guy just because all
- 10:22Speaker 4: the athletic ability in the world and make him into
- 10:24Speaker 4: something special. In the NFL, obviously the trophies here, I
- 10:30Speaker 4: understand that, but I understand yeah, but I'm just saying.
- 10:33Speaker 2: As the better athletes.
- 10:36Speaker 5: Better athletes the NBA. You're talking about athletes though, like yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 5: like who can jump higher? Yeah, that's NBA.
- 10:45Speaker 4: Curious put a corner out there.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Look, there are some some elite athletes in the NBA.
- 10:51Speaker 2: All of them are elite athletes because they're in the
- 10:53Speaker 2: top one percent of their sport. But I've been coming
- 10:56Speaker 2: around to yeah, maybe these guys do have some ship
- 10:59Speaker 2: to them, especially Anthony Edwards.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you Russell Westover two people and yeah, Russell
- 11:04Speaker 1: Westbrook turning back the clock locking down. Uh, SGA. I
- 11:10Speaker 1: don't know if y'all saw that, but SGA probably league MVP.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Russell Westbrook locks him down like end of game pretty
- 11:18Speaker 1: much to seal the win. And Russell Westbrook is how old,
- 11:21Speaker 1: like thirty four thirty five?
- 11:23Speaker 2: No clue, he's thirty four to thirty five.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and locking down the best player in the league
- 11:28Speaker 1: in the NBA play.
- 11:29Speaker 4: It's so impressive. Hose guys played for so long. I
- 11:31Speaker 4: feel like ten years is like the average in the NBA.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Guys just go forever.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And he's toward his acls like that's better.
- 11:38Speaker 4: Than me, that is better than me. Yeah, I couldn't
- 11:42Speaker 4: you boys messed around with YMCA in third grade, I
- 11:45Speaker 4: had I was like one of the few kids that
- 11:46Speaker 4: could shoot a three, one of the few kids. But
- 11:50Speaker 4: that's that was it. That's as far as it went
- 11:51Speaker 4: from me.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Did you play any basketball growing up?
- 11:53Speaker 5: I played? Uh?
- 11:55Speaker 4: All right, we interrupt this episode to bring you something special,
- 11:57Speaker 4: something spicy in the bedroom and that what is it?
- 12:01Speaker 4: Rose sparks Roast sparks are two to one prescription treatment

- 12:49Speaker 4: to the episode, So.
- 12:50Speaker 5: I played all sports when I was a kid, and
- 12:52Speaker 5: then could you wrestle? Well, No, I didn't. That's that's
- 12:55Speaker 5: more like a Midwest thing. We didn't do that on
- 12:56Speaker 5: the West Coast. I wish I did the wrestlers or stuffs.
- 12:59Speaker 5: I've got all. I saw some some old video of
- 13:01Speaker 5: you're getting where you're getting pinned or where you know.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I was dog and the kid, Yeah yeah, hit him
- 13:06Speaker 2: with a fake cut, let him up, no heading aside,
- 13:09Speaker 2: cradled him.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Yeah no. And then then as I went to high
- 13:12Speaker 5: school and that ain't me, I started pictures houlding up
- 13:18Speaker 5: a picture of you. That's not me, sat Clay Matthews.
- 13:22Speaker 5: That's me on the right, and that's my brother Brian
- 13:24Speaker 5: on the left. But anyway, I played basketball, but I
- 13:27Speaker 5: developed late in high school and was getting tolate and
- 13:31Speaker 5: I wasn't getting a burned, so I just just retired.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Look at the football player, try to shoot a basketball.
- 13:38Speaker 5: Great on defense though, no easy buckets. People are scared
- 13:42Speaker 5: scared of the five fouls.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's always our go to as well. It's like, oh,
- 13:46Speaker 2: we can play some defense, we can play some we
- 13:47Speaker 2: can set some screens. Yeah, dude.
- 13:49Speaker 4: The wrestling thing is such a Midwest thing because I
- 13:52Speaker 4: never never crossed my mind growing up in Arizona. But
- 13:54Speaker 4: it is something you look at now. Like I've said
- 13:57Speaker 4: this so many times in the show, but every time
- 13:58Speaker 4: Will's put his hands on me and I think I'm
- 14:00Speaker 4: gonna he throws me around. Even when I was like
- 14:03Speaker 4: three ten, three fifteen, I would go and try to
- 14:05Speaker 4: wrestle them, and he would just pick me apart. And
- 14:07Speaker 4: this guy was on JV his senior year.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Oh man, stop, okay, well I was a JV. We'll
- 14:13Speaker 5: get back.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Didn't you say you were JV your junior or senior year.
- 14:18Speaker 2: No. Like when I first when my parents made me
- 14:20Speaker 2: go back into wrestling, they said I could either be
- 14:22Speaker 2: grounded for the winner or I could wrestle. So when
- 14:24Speaker 2: I got back into wrests, sitcher crazy. At the very
- 14:27Speaker 2: beginning of the year. They sent me to a JV
- 14:29Speaker 2: tournament to like earn my stripes or like I had
- 14:31Speaker 2: to stay back. I couldn't go on varsity. Went to
- 14:34Speaker 2: the JV tournament, did not get scored on with the
- 14:36Speaker 2: one of the worst hangovers of my life because I
- 14:38Speaker 2: threw a party at the house the night before. Uh
- 14:40Speaker 2: but that's the only time I was on I was
- 14:41Speaker 2: on JV. Oh qualified for statement?
- 14:43Speaker 4: Come on.
- 14:45Speaker 5: But like you mentioned the body control, like the Sayers
- 14:48Speaker 5: are offensive linemen who were former wrestlers. You'd just be like,
- 14:50Speaker 5: all right, I'm like, you just can't put hands on
- 14:53Speaker 5: them because they just they just baz.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Yeah, get around them a little bit. Because the wrestling
- 14:57Speaker 4: is my daughter, my youngest Willow. She's doing jujitsu right now,
- 15:01Speaker 4: and then she kind of like wanted to get away
- 15:02Speaker 4: from it for a little bit, and I was really
- 15:04Speaker 4: pressing her, just hey, sweetie, I promise, like you just
- 15:07Speaker 4: keep doing this, defend yourself. Now she's running around. We
- 15:09Speaker 4: put kung fu pan on this weekend, and then yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 4: she started throwing around some kicks and all these things.
- 15:15Speaker 4: I was like, you want to learn karate? She's like yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I was like, jiu jitsu is the way to go.
- 15:18Speaker 4: She's like, I'm back. So we had like three week
- 15:20Speaker 4: hiatus and now we're getting back into it on Tuesday,
- 15:23Speaker 4: which fires me up because my oldest there's just not
- 15:26Speaker 4: a competitive bone in her body.
- 15:28Speaker 2: She doesn't have it.
- 15:29Speaker 4: She doesn't have the stuff, which is heartbreaking because for me,
- 15:32Speaker 4: I mean, we all grew up in sports. We all
- 15:34Speaker 4: grew up in like you go, you play every single
- 15:35Speaker 4: sport depending on what season it is, and then you
- 15:37Speaker 4: just roll onto the next one over and over again.
- 15:39Speaker 4: With my kids that are like I got my daughter
- 15:41Speaker 4: in soccer, didn't care for it. They love like art
- 15:44Speaker 4: and music and all these different things, which is great.
- 15:47Speaker 4: But now I'm as a father, Like I'm out of
- 15:48Speaker 4: my wheelhouse. I need to find something.
- 15:51Speaker 5: So we gotta we gotta stud flag football team. I've
- 15:56Speaker 5: got two girls on our on our team, we're you know,
- 16:00Speaker 5: accepting of all genders and uh, you know, we got
- 16:05Speaker 5: a good little squad. They're coached up. We got one
- 16:07Speaker 5: more game and then playoffs this weekend. Really we're going
- 16:09Speaker 5: to be back to back.
- 16:10Speaker 4: What's the what's the age group we're talking about here.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Like five six yeerals, it's it's considered pre K, but.
- 16:18Speaker 2: You're gonna move up with them as they get older.
- 16:20Speaker 5: Yeah, because that's that's my My youngest is in that.
- 16:24Speaker 5: And uh, it's like you had mentioned that was the
- 16:27Speaker 5: first time. I don't know if I had mentioned this
- 16:29Speaker 5: last time, but coaching them where I felt that yeah, adrenaline,
- 16:34Speaker 5: that rush. It was this first game like a year ago,
- 16:36Speaker 5: year and a half ago, we won on like a
- 16:39Speaker 5: touch Now I'm being honest, like we won, Like yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 5: I told my wife that, I'm like, this is why
- 16:47Speaker 5: people get back into coaching, because you just have this
- 16:49Speaker 5: wealth of knowledge that you want to give to everybody.
- 16:52Speaker 5: And that's where I'm at, like, like I love coaching
- 16:55Speaker 5: these kids. I coached them hard.
- 16:56Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:57Speaker 5: The first thing I tell them is like, we're gonna win.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Like I don't. I don't like the coaches who let's
- 17:01Speaker 5: have a good time. It doesn't matter if we know
- 17:02Speaker 5: we're out here to win, we're out here to be great.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Let's let's let's take advantage of our time, like they
- 17:09Speaker 5: will develop the skills. And then I got to lean
- 17:12Speaker 5: on the dogs on the team, like my son and
- 17:14Speaker 5: the other ones. You know, I'm just saying like who
- 17:18Speaker 5: do Yeah, he's a dog.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Or is it like that's the coach's son.
- 17:22Speaker 5: There's no, okay, he's he's got that dog.
- 17:26Speaker 2: It's a meritocracy.
- 17:27Speaker 5: But he's six years let's take that with a grain
- 17:30Speaker 5: of salt. But he knows what's being asked him. I
- 17:31Speaker 5: always talked to him like I try and talk to
- 17:33Speaker 5: him like a man at six years old, like, hey,
- 17:35Speaker 5: these other kids are looking up to you. You know
- 17:37Speaker 5: they might be in pre k you know, for what
- 17:40Speaker 5: are these So I need him to be the example
- 17:42Speaker 5: the role models. So I'm just trying to set the
- 17:44Speaker 5: tone moving for But I'm not like I got a
- 17:46Speaker 5: preface this and say I'm not that sports dad, like
- 17:48Speaker 5: I'm not. I'm not that Like, my kids have fun
- 17:53Speaker 5: you right there and the parents. No, and the parents
- 17:55Speaker 5: have fun too, and we have fun by winning, learning
- 17:58Speaker 5: the game, building car, confidence, having respect. Everything that you
- 18:01Speaker 5: would hope that your your child would be would be
- 18:04Speaker 5: taught from you know, a coach, a role models, a kid.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Or has there been a kid that hasn't wanted to
- 18:09Speaker 2: play sports.
- 18:10Speaker 5: On our team in your family? Oh yeah, my oldest
- 18:14Speaker 5: is probably the same as your daughter, where he's like
- 18:16Speaker 5: we you know, we try to mountain soccer, just being
- 18:18Speaker 5: like nah. But he's he's he'll probably you know, build
- 18:22Speaker 5: spaceships or something like that like Elon, or he's loving
- 18:25Speaker 5: fishing right now. I think they've got some fishing uh
- 18:28Speaker 5: you know clubs out here, which we didn't have on
- 18:30Speaker 5: the West Coast. So yeah, he'll find his niche. But
- 18:32Speaker 5: I tell my kids like, I don't care what you do.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Like my daughter, you know, she does play basketball on
- 18:37Speaker 5: some other sports, but she loves gymnastics and dance. I'm like,
- 18:39Speaker 5: just be the best at it. Just be the best
- 18:41Speaker 5: at whatever it is you do, and you'll be fine
- 18:43Speaker 5: in life Like that. That's that's all that comes back
- 18:45Speaker 5: to be the best podcasters. You know whatever it is, like,
- 18:48Speaker 5: you will have success. It doesn't. You don't have to
- 18:50Speaker 5: play football, you don't have to play sports, but naturally,
- 18:52Speaker 5: like I gravitate towards that because that's what I did
- 18:55Speaker 5: as a kid. Just be the best.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So your son he doesn't play any.
- 18:57Speaker 5: Sports my oldest, no are you don't keep the playing sports?
- 19:00Speaker 2: If he didn't like.
- 19:01Speaker 5: It, well, listen, I mean like kind of like my
- 19:04Speaker 5: dad told me, if we start something, we finish it.
- 19:06Speaker 5: But if you don't want to play after the season,
- 19:07Speaker 5: that's fine.
- 19:08Speaker 4: That's that's the move.
- 19:09Speaker 2: That is the move.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Because when I put my oldest in soccer, it was
- 19:12Speaker 4: very very quick. She was like, I don't this is
- 19:14Speaker 4: not really my back. And I just told her, you're
- 19:15Speaker 4: doing the whole season, right, and we're going to go
- 19:17Speaker 4: every single time. I'll go with you every single time,
- 19:19Speaker 4: but we have to go like you have. Your team's
- 19:21Speaker 4: waiting on you, they're relying on you. And so once
- 19:25Speaker 4: she was done with the season, it was over. But
- 19:26Speaker 4: sometimes to finish the.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Season, well, my son, my youngest who you know, his
- 19:30Speaker 5: first game playing flag football. He played two snaps and
- 19:32Speaker 5: cried the whole time on the sideline as I'm trying
- 19:34Speaker 5: to coach him, send him off to his mom, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 5: do this, and now he can't get enough, like when's
- 19:39Speaker 5: the next game? He's you know, he's he just loves
- 19:42Speaker 5: you know, sports, loves football right now. So I think
- 19:44Speaker 5: that comes from confidence as well.
- 19:45Speaker 4: So how does how does you take your kids? Who
- 19:47Speaker 4: plays two snaps, cries, goes to his mom to now
- 19:49Speaker 4: he loves it? Like, well, how did you work on that?
- 19:52Speaker 4: Because that's maybe where I need to fill in the
- 19:54Speaker 4: gap a little bit, is I don't know how hard
- 19:56Speaker 4: to push or how hard to push.
- 19:58Speaker 5: Yeah, it's consistency because every time I push too hard,
- 20:00Speaker 5: then I you know, you're like I go too hard,
- 20:02Speaker 5: And if I'm too soft, I'm like, oh, I'm being
- 20:04Speaker 5: soft on him. So I think we all have that
- 20:05Speaker 5: internal you know, kind of tug of war of parenting.
- 20:09Speaker 5: But I think just consistency and giving your kid kind
- 20:14Speaker 5: of the resiliency and courage to have confidence, you know,
- 20:17Speaker 5: that confidence, because I think that's what it stems from.
- 20:20Speaker 5: My kids tend to shut it down when they don't
- 20:22Speaker 5: have confidence when they're in a new environment. So it's
- 20:24Speaker 5: just filling them with that, like you know, like you
- 20:26Speaker 5: can do this, You're going to be all right, Everything's okay.
- 20:29Speaker 5: And then as they start to do it, you know,
- 20:30Speaker 5: they get better at and they learn to like it
- 20:32Speaker 5: and they learn the example. So yeah, I mean we're
- 20:35Speaker 5: having a good parenting talk, right.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it is good because it is like just fighting
- 20:39Speaker 4: to the fringe of the insecurity and fear wether than
- 20:42Speaker 4: you do it. My daughter, they they had a World
- 20:44Speaker 4: Day at school where they all had they did My
- 20:46Speaker 4: daughter did Panama. She had to make a whole thing
- 20:47Speaker 4: for the animals in there. And then she's talking to
- 20:50Speaker 4: me the night before about there's going be four hundred
- 20:52Speaker 4: people that I have to perform in front of and
- 20:54Speaker 4: her and I are going through her whole thing. Then
- 20:56Speaker 4: her mom gets home from like a little like an
- 20:58Speaker 4: outing for Nature and Nurture Company, and I find out
- 21:00Speaker 4: it's like everyone just goes into a room and the
- 21:03Speaker 4: parents kind of walk around and like, look, oh that's
- 21:05Speaker 4: real nice, and then you kind of keep going. But
- 21:07Speaker 4: when was like trying to dial in all the different animals,
- 21:09Speaker 4: all the different things to the point we're up we're
- 21:11Speaker 4: up to like ten thirty, and she's like, so, nurse,
- 21:13Speaker 4: I was speaking from people. She's like have you ever
- 21:15Speaker 4: spoken in front of people before, like sweetheart, especially a
- 21:18Speaker 4: couple of photos. This is me at the Grand Ole Opera.
- 21:21Speaker 4: You know, they starts showing her some stuff. But it
- 21:23Speaker 4: is like the pushing part to me, I worry about
- 21:27Speaker 4: because I don't want them to like get pushed so
- 21:29Speaker 4: far that they kind of just shit the bed when
- 21:30Speaker 4: it like it happens, so it's war.
- 21:33Speaker 1: You might need to put Willow on his team.
- 21:35Speaker 5: That's what I was Yeah, that's what I was alluding
- 21:38Speaker 5: to it at the beginning, is like we you know,
- 21:40Speaker 5: they're still at the age where they put the boys
- 21:41Speaker 5: and girls together before they separate them. And obviously it
- 21:44Speaker 5: means nothing to the boys right now, but there's a
- 21:46Speaker 5: part of me that loves it when our when our
- 21:48Speaker 5: girls get after it.
- 21:49Speaker 2: On the team.
- 21:50Speaker 5: Yeah, like yeah, I love it.
- 21:51Speaker 4: You know Will's will is definitely she has more coordination
- 21:54Speaker 4: right now than when Winds like built like me, Like
- 21:56Speaker 4: she just still got that baby deer movement, like she
- 21:58Speaker 4: kind of doesn't know how to run on her kick
- 22:00Speaker 4: or throw. Willow for whatever reason, just picks it up
- 22:03Speaker 4: a ghosts, so she might Yeah, we look into it.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Well, we're just finishing up so we'll have to get
- 22:08Speaker 5: you on the fall end. Yeah, yeah, tryout to try out.
- 22:11Speaker 2: To Clay's too young.
- 22:14Speaker 4: You're looking for an old line coach.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Have a play up. That's how you get back and
- 22:16Speaker 1: do that.
- 22:16Speaker 5: All we have is five.
- 22:18Speaker 2: It seems like this is a squad we got, you know,
- 22:21Speaker 2: with it.
- 22:21Speaker 5: And I enjoy it. I really enjoyed this.
- 22:22Speaker 2: We need to get under the mentorship of a Clay
- 22:25Speaker 2: Matthews now be the example. Yeah. Yeah, he's asking us,
- 22:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you're trying to build a Are you gonna
- 22:31Speaker 2: move up with him? Are you going to stick the
- 22:33Speaker 2: five and six year olds?
- 22:33Speaker 5: Trust me?
- 22:34Speaker 4: Could you imagine Clay's kids just like fifteen, sixteen years old,
- 22:37Speaker 4: and he's like still with the five and six year olds,
- 22:39Speaker 4: he might be just a random five and six year olds.
- 22:41Speaker 2: That's what uh Luke and them are doing. Yeah, they're
- 22:44Speaker 2: with Olsen's kid right there. Their kids like they grow,
- 22:48Speaker 2: they go up with them every time. I remember they're
- 22:50Speaker 2: in middle school right now. But when they get the
- 22:51Speaker 2: high school, it's almost like the high school's gonna get
- 22:53Speaker 2: fired and they're gonna come in and take over. You
- 22:55Speaker 2: got to know the high school.
- 22:56Speaker 5: That's what my dad did So when my dad retired,
- 22:59Speaker 5: I was in and I think I just finished fifth grade,
- 23:02Speaker 5: you know, somewhere in fifth grade, and he took over
- 23:03Speaker 5: as coach. He might not have been the head coach,
- 23:06Speaker 5: might have been decoordinated, whatever it is, but he stayed
- 23:07Speaker 5: with us the whole time, and we just, you know,
- 23:09Speaker 5: you just have that same group of kids who goes
- 23:11Speaker 5: through an NFL, you know, mindset of how to run.
- 23:15Speaker 5: I mean we were running like zone blitzes in high school,
- 23:18Speaker 5: just off you know, offense is just just putting a menacing.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Yeah, you were basically your dad was the first day
- 23:23Speaker 4: on Sanders.
- 23:25Speaker 5: I mean the first thing I love. I love coach Prime,
- 23:28Speaker 5: but I think they're two very different. But yeah, with
- 23:33Speaker 5: the whole entire time in respect, yeah, he was. He
- 23:35Speaker 5: was with us the whole time. And then as soon
- 23:36Speaker 5: as I graduated, he went to my other brother and
- 23:38Speaker 5: then went to his high school and worked his way up.
- 23:40Speaker 5: And they always had great teams and they were they
- 23:42Speaker 5: were coached well I mean coaching, so no doubt about it. Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 5: I mean, well they were.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Yeah in high school. Did you see guys with technique
- 23:50Speaker 4: in high school? It's like what are they?
- 23:52Speaker 5: Who they working?
- 23:52Speaker 4: With had a guy in high school with me. His
- 23:54Speaker 4: name is Craig Row played at Michigan with me. But
- 23:57Speaker 4: he was a kid in high school that like actually
- 23:59Speaker 4: had takenique in coordination. He was a d ND and
- 24:02Speaker 4: he would just know the body and he wasn't like
- 24:04Speaker 4: the most physically gifted guy in the world, but he
- 24:06Speaker 4: was a stud. And I was like, where is he
- 24:08Speaker 4: getting this because we're all kind of just running around
- 24:10Speaker 4: out there still even in high school. So there he is.
- 24:14Speaker 2: The coaches kid too, has always got kind of a
- 24:16Speaker 2: leg up initially when they're young. I wouldn't.
- 24:18Speaker 5: I wouldn't. Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were. I
- 24:20Speaker 5: thought you were, you know, just in the way that
- 24:22Speaker 5: you are taking you know, digs at it. I was
- 24:25Speaker 5: about to say, no, no, you're right, You're right in
- 24:28Speaker 5: that regard, because you know, they just they live it,
- 24:32Speaker 5: you know. But I felt like there was times when
- 24:35Speaker 5: I was in high school where like my dad was
- 24:36Speaker 5: just ruthless with not ruth as I shouldn't say that
- 24:39Speaker 5: won't get a better rat but just like he had
- 24:40Speaker 5: to make sure he wasn't showing me preferential treatment. So
- 24:42Speaker 5: it was always, you know, you gotta work a little
- 24:45Speaker 5: bit hard. You get treated a little bit different. Same
- 24:46Speaker 5: goals with my kid at this age. It's like, obviously
- 24:48Speaker 5: you build him up when they have good times, but
- 24:50Speaker 5: you just you know, other kids are goofing around. You
- 24:52Speaker 5: yell at your kid for like the one in there. Yeah,
- 24:54Speaker 5: you know, try and tighten him up.
- 24:55Speaker 4: In California, do you have to be a part of
- 24:57Speaker 4: like the school staff to be a coach as well,
- 25:00Speaker 4: or you can just kind of come in.
- 25:01Speaker 5: No, well I'm not sure how his public versus private,
- 25:04Speaker 5: But no, my dad wasn't a part of the wasn't
- 25:06Speaker 5: wasn't a part of the staff, So I'm not sure
- 25:08Speaker 5: how that worked. And he didn't take a salary or something. Yeah,
- 25:11Speaker 5: just like showed up, just showed out all doubt.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just always having to perform in front of
- 25:16Speaker 2: your old man too.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you got to give him the whole like you're
- 25:19Speaker 4: gonna be treating how you treat the team speech. Yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 4: that's the first thing you have.
- 25:22Speaker 2: With the kids.
- 25:23Speaker 5: That was tough because, like you know, naturally every kid
- 25:26Speaker 5: thinks they know more than their father. And you know,
- 25:28Speaker 5: when dad played nineteen years and I'm like, I just
- 25:30Speaker 5: didn't want to hear and it wasn't until even going
- 25:32Speaker 5: to college, Like it took a while for me to
- 25:34Speaker 5: be comfortable with him watching me and all that. I
- 25:36Speaker 5: don't know if you guys ever went through that, like
- 25:38Speaker 5: having your having your dad come and watch and being
- 25:40Speaker 5: embarrassed or you know, just not wanting to let him down.
- 25:43Speaker 2: So and then they want to talk to you, like
- 25:45Speaker 2: after the game, and you kind.
- 25:46Speaker 5: Of just like whatever day, yeah, exactly.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Very short answers, kind of your body language just kind
- 25:51Speaker 2: of turned away from him high school.
- 25:52Speaker 4: I figu you're more receptive because you know your old
- 25:54Speaker 4: man played high school ball.
- 25:55Speaker 5: So you think, like, here's the opposite for me. Because
- 25:57Speaker 5: in the NFL, where I was like, Dad, let's let's talk, yes,
- 26:00Speaker 5: talk like I need help.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Right, My dad would come to me when I was
- 26:04Speaker 4: in the NFL and be like, maybe you should do that,
- 26:07Speaker 4: but we're gonna be all right, Dave, don't worry, and
- 26:09Speaker 4: I have to go fine, I'll go to my coaches.
- 26:11Speaker 2: I enjoyed talking to my dad more like when I
- 26:13Speaker 2: was playing it, not even in college, but the NFL.
- 26:16Speaker 2: But yeah, if he brought up schematics or technique.
- 26:19Speaker 4: So do you think about punching with the outside on
- 26:21Speaker 4: first and then I'm like, Dave, no, I'm not doing that.
- 26:25Speaker 4: I'm not doing that. The dad though, how was your
- 26:27Speaker 4: dad like, I'm always bringing this up his Will. I
- 26:30Speaker 4: remember I tore my a cl and I went to
- 26:32Speaker 4: Will's house and then Will's dad spent two hours telling
- 26:36Speaker 4: me how much of a glue guy willis, like boasting
- 26:38Speaker 4: about in Will the best any awesome. I'm like thinking, like,
- 26:41Speaker 4: I think my.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Career is over.
- 26:43Speaker 4: I'm so sad and I just want to hang out
- 26:45Speaker 4: my boys. But was your dad like the proud dad
- 26:48Speaker 4: or was he like it could always be better dad?
- 26:50Speaker 5: I think it was somewhere in between. I don't think
- 26:52Speaker 5: he obviously he let me know, you know, when I
- 26:54Speaker 5: did a good job, you know, postgame, traveling to the
- 26:57Speaker 5: games and whatnot. And then you know, he was always
- 27:00Speaker 5: he was always careful about tiptoe and that like, hey,
- 27:02Speaker 5: can I can I offer you know, like he didn't
- 27:04Speaker 5: want to insert himself, knowing that I'd probably have. You know,
- 27:08Speaker 5: me and him are so much alike, were so like
- 27:09Speaker 5: I got this, but at the same token, like one
- 27:12Speaker 5: has to want to receive, you know, that type of coaching,
- 27:17Speaker 5: so to speak, parenting. So he was always like he
- 27:18Speaker 5: can I offer something? Yeah, sure, Dad, let's go like
- 27:20Speaker 5: tell me. So he was good about that. But at
- 27:23Speaker 5: the same token, you know, I mean, it wasn't like
- 27:25Speaker 5: he was telling me it was never enough or you know,
- 27:27Speaker 5: telling him I'm not to say that's not the right thing.
- 27:30Speaker 5: You should have all the confidence in your son, you know,
- 27:31Speaker 5: talking about me for two hours just like oh, yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 5: he's a good career, that type of guy.
- 27:36Speaker 4: I just yeah, nineteen years in the NFL. That is insane.
- 27:39Speaker 2: But that was proud man. Yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I kind of reflected, like smile about it.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just like you said, nineteen Yeah, he played
- 27:47Speaker 2: nineteen years in the league. It's like my dad didn't
- 27:50Speaker 2: so him seeing his boy, like, yeah, he's a proud
- 27:54Speaker 2: he's a proud the same way.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Well, I always got these these times where I go
- 27:58Speaker 5: home and you know, I just I like to reflect
- 28:00Speaker 5: and think. And you had posted, you had posted like
- 28:03Speaker 5: a tweet or an you know whatever post on X
- 28:05Speaker 5: talking about how you were a free agent and you
- 28:07Speaker 5: played what nine allegedly ten years, Like that's remarkable, dude,
- 28:12Speaker 5: I truly mean that, like to go from a you know,
- 28:14Speaker 5: a free agent to playing that many years is impressive
- 28:17Speaker 5: because you know, as a first round pick, like you're
- 28:19Speaker 5: kind of handed the keys, like don't screw it up.
- 28:21Speaker 5: You get a guaranteed four or five years and you
- 28:23Speaker 5: know you got time to develop. But as a free
- 28:26Speaker 5: agent anyway, I just want to tell you a good job. Man,
- 28:28Speaker 5: that's awesome. I actually thought about that and I was like, man,
- 28:31Speaker 5: that's that's impressive. You know that's impressive you.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I was waiting for the butt I was taking about
- 28:37Speaker 1: to kill.
- 28:40Speaker 4: This man in the second.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Good job.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Receiving that compliment takes Man, you did a good job
- 28:44Speaker 4: with that.
- 28:44Speaker 5: You're the best.
- 28:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna need that clift too, and I'm gonna send
- 28:49Speaker 2: to my old man. Heye deck clean Matthews.
- 28:51Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, we're more Ray maunt Luga fan.

- 29:28Speaker 2: Wipes Best Clean Pants down. Back to the episode.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Dude Going on the free agency. It's like the first
- 29:34Speaker 4: time watching cuts happen when you are when you are
- 29:37Speaker 4: the first round pick, and you think, oh, we're all
- 29:38Speaker 4: just gonna be here together forever, like your whole like
- 29:41Speaker 4: draft class, you're together and you have the free agent guys,
- 29:44Speaker 4: and then that fourth preseason game comes and do just
- 29:46Speaker 4: come and dap you up. Guys are crying like that
- 29:48Speaker 4: was to me like shocking, so shocking to me seeing
- 29:51Speaker 4: guys like just gone. And then the next like two
- 29:53Speaker 4: days later, four or five guys are back.
- 29:55Speaker 5: Yeah, it's just you did it man. Yeah, well we are.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Yeah, we all had great careers. But yeah, thank you.
- 30:02Speaker 4: I need to receive the yeah due to the draft
- 30:09Speaker 4: was great, great execution. It was amazing than the whole
- 30:15Speaker 4: I had no idea. I saw you come out in
- 30:17Speaker 4: that bike, I saw you stand behind Goodell. I'm thinking
- 30:18Speaker 4: to myself, good company, man, he's doing this thing right now,
- 30:21Speaker 4: and obviously we saw you right before, yeah, and then
- 30:23Speaker 4: going to do the speeches you did. Can you just
- 30:26Speaker 4: run down that process a little?
- 30:27Speaker 5: Yeah, man. So I was, well, I'll just go back
- 30:29Speaker 5: to the beginning. So I don't know where you people are,
- 30:30Speaker 5: Like where'd you call them with that idea to you know, uh,
- 30:33Speaker 5: you know, mentioned Trump and then Bear still suck. So
- 30:36Speaker 5: my agent, you know, I was going to be out there,
- 30:38Speaker 5: you know, some endorsement opportunities, appearance opportunities. Light bud Light
- 30:43Speaker 5: was one of them, Shadow bud Light, and they had
- 30:46Speaker 5: asked if I wanted to come up, come up on stage,
- 30:48Speaker 5: much like last year's in Detroit, two years ago in
- 30:51Speaker 5: Kansas City. So I looked at last year's and it
- 30:53Speaker 5: was like Calvin Johnson, Barry Sanders, Aidan Hutchinson, Jared Goff,
- 30:58Speaker 5: you know, and I thought it was like obviously got
- 31:00Speaker 5: a mixture of legends and current players, and but they
- 31:03Speaker 5: all went up there and they just screamed into the mic,
- 31:06Speaker 5: you know, and I was just like, I don't really
- 31:08Speaker 5: just want to get up there and be like you baby,
- 31:10Speaker 5: make some noise. I was like, let's make this memorable.
- 31:13Speaker 5: So I don't know where it came from, but I
- 31:14Speaker 5: ran it by my wife. I go bit, you know,
- 31:15Speaker 5: she's always the voice of reasoning, obay, what do you
- 31:18Speaker 5: what do you think about this? You know, and she's like, yes,
- 31:21Speaker 5: you need to do this. So she's the master at photoshop.
- 31:23Speaker 5: So I went online and search for some letterhead with
- 31:27Speaker 5: you know, his President Trump's signature on it, and so
- 31:30Speaker 5: she was like, we need it bigger, we need this.
- 31:32Speaker 5: We need to make it look like handwriting if you're
- 31:34Speaker 5: going to hold it up. So she was, she was
- 31:36Speaker 5: behind it, and she did a great job right there.
- 31:40Speaker 5: But anyways, I didn't tell anybody because I knew the
- 31:43Speaker 5: NFL wasn't gonna improve it. You know, I knew just
- 31:45Speaker 5: you know, just in today's political climate. You mentioned ones,
- 31:49Speaker 5: you know, political affiliation left right, Like it's just not
- 31:51Speaker 5: going to go over well with with the NFL. So
- 31:54Speaker 5: I I man, I was, I was nervous. Backstage, I
- 31:57Speaker 5: was with Jordi am on Green, James Jones made some crosby,
- 32:01Speaker 5: Lil Wayne showed up back there, and meanwhile everyone's had
- 32:04Speaker 5: I'm just because I'm you know, I got this envelope
- 32:06Speaker 5: that I'm whole and just shaking because I didn't know,
- 32:09Speaker 5: and they didn't know. I didn't There wasn't so there
- 32:11Speaker 5: was a bunch of stuff going probably overthinking things. But
- 32:13Speaker 5: I go listen, this is a live event. They could
- 32:15Speaker 5: cut me off if I go too long past fifteen
- 32:18Speaker 5: twenty seconds, you know. So they had asked me, Hey,
- 32:22Speaker 5: is there anybody who wants to go up there and
- 32:23Speaker 5: say some things like last year? So I kind of,
- 32:25Speaker 5: you know, Mason and Georgia like, I'm not gonna do that.
- 32:27Speaker 5: I'll get it. I'll get him going, boys get I'll
- 32:29Speaker 5: get them going, you know. So I kind of fit in,
- 32:31Speaker 5: but I didn't know where I was gonna fit in with
- 32:32Speaker 5: Lil Wayne and whatnot as.
- 32:35Speaker 4: Far as when he was just a wild wrinkle him
- 32:37Speaker 4: out there.
- 32:38Speaker 5: We just showed up. So I'm like, well, is he
- 32:39Speaker 5: gonna say anything? I just thought like he should have
- 32:41Speaker 5: at least, you know, like Eminem did last year, like
- 32:43Speaker 5: he should have. He just kind of came up there.
- 32:45Speaker 5: But anyway, so then yeah, the opportunity just kind of
- 32:47Speaker 5: opened itself and I just I pulled this piece of
- 32:50Speaker 5: paper out and just and it it went overwhelm. It
- 32:52Speaker 5: went overwhelmed. My brother, who I you know, Kyle, who
- 32:54Speaker 5: was on here with me last time he tent out
- 32:56Speaker 5: of ten execution, delivery, everything was on point, so I
- 33:00Speaker 5: was I was happy with how it landed. The boys
- 33:02Speaker 5: all behind me, they enjoyed it. They had no idea,
- 33:05Speaker 5: so they were, you know, equally as fired up. And
- 33:07Speaker 5: then you know, anytime you can take a chance to
- 33:09Speaker 5: put the Bears down, you know, yeah, you gotta take it.
- 33:12Speaker 5: So one of the what I went, I went. Then
- 33:13Speaker 5: I went backstage. I'm like, oh, and I gotta face
- 33:16Speaker 5: I got to face the wrath of Godell and everybody else.
- 33:19Speaker 5: But they were immediately, they were super cool backstage. I
- 33:23Speaker 5: was like, you know, I kind of half heartedly apologized
- 33:25Speaker 5: while laughing. I said, hey, you know, I'm sorry, Like
- 33:27Speaker 5: I knew you were going to prove it, but this
- 33:28Speaker 5: and that, and so Roger was like, I just I
- 33:30Speaker 5: didn't want to laugh when I was, because you know,
- 33:33Speaker 5: I didn't want him to seem like he was he
- 33:35Speaker 5: knew what was happening, complicit whatever you would call it.
- 33:38Speaker 5: And but they were all like, there was a few
- 33:40Speaker 5: hat me, you know, because I had the sheet. They're like,
- 33:42Speaker 5: let me get a picture of you with this. So
- 33:43Speaker 5: they were super cool with about it. Yeah, so it
- 33:46Speaker 5: was good. It all went over. I told I'll probably
- 33:48Speaker 5: never be invited back again, but yeah, it was cool.
- 33:52Speaker 2: And then when you're riding the bike out there, like
- 33:55Speaker 2: how nervous are you?
- 33:56Speaker 5: I was so nervous because I told them like in
- 33:58Speaker 5: a week before, like are you opening to riding a
- 34:00Speaker 5: bike out there? And I was like, nah, I don't
- 34:01Speaker 5: want to ride a bike like I got my wife
- 34:03Speaker 5: put me in these tom Ford pants beautiful, you know,
- 34:06Speaker 5: like super super tight, you know, got these loafers on
- 34:10Speaker 5: and so, but everyone else was doing I don't need
- 34:12Speaker 5: one guy to walk my bike out. I wrote it
- 34:14Speaker 5: out there, But yeah, I was nervous not to be
- 34:15Speaker 5: on stage, but just to deliver something that I that, like,
- 34:18Speaker 5: like I was just fired up for, but that nobody knew.
- 34:21Speaker 5: So I was like, I just hope it comes goes
- 34:22Speaker 5: over as well as my wife thinks it's gonna come over.
- 34:25Speaker 5: I think you did. And then then the response I
- 34:28Speaker 5: got from it was was great too, because I'm like, oh,
- 34:30Speaker 5: this is a dig at the Bears. Right. Well, then
- 34:32Speaker 5: it turned political, you know it's like you know Trump,
- 34:36Speaker 5: like I've lost all respect for Clay you know this
- 34:38Speaker 5: and that and all right, but I was happy.
- 34:41Speaker 6: I went over, well, yeah, you're not going to please
- 34:44Speaker 6: them all, but exactly, well, it wouldn't have worked with
- 34:46Speaker 6: anybody else, Like it's just the joke wouldn't have worked
- 34:48Speaker 6: because I watched your guys, you know, your time up
- 34:53Speaker 6: there in Green Bay.
- 34:54Speaker 5: And when I went up there, you know, you're you're
- 34:56Speaker 5: filming yourself, and you hear me talk about you know,
- 34:58Speaker 5: Donald Trump, You're like, oh no, I give a sense
- 35:01Speaker 5: I sensing you. You're like, you're one hundred percent he's
- 35:03Speaker 5: gonna bomb or he's gonna like now is not the time,
- 35:05Speaker 5: you know.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Like when you're about to plant your flag in the
- 35:08Speaker 4: mega world, And I thought, this is a crazy time
- 35:10Speaker 4: to do that.
- 35:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I could just tell he was right about every
- 35:13Speaker 5: day shat it.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:19Speaker 5: But yeah, that's that's why I worked because I had you,
- 35:22Speaker 5: I had you out here, I had you out here.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:23Speaker 5: So I had fifty percent going, don't make it political.
- 35:26Speaker 5: I got fifty percent going what did he say?
- 35:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Take it a whole different.
- 35:32Speaker 4: In the pause too, like I just have the phone
- 35:33Speaker 4: with Donald Trump. He has a letter, let's see what
- 35:35Speaker 4: it says. And you took the time to open it up.
- 35:37Speaker 4: So everybody in the rooms like holding their breath, like, fuck,
- 35:39Speaker 4: what is about to happen. You had a bunch of
- 35:42Speaker 4: guys probably like what's he gonna fuck boys out there?
- 35:46Speaker 4: And then you for you to do that, like it
- 35:48Speaker 4: was the ten out of ten delivery.
- 35:49Speaker 5: It was awesome.
- 35:50Speaker 2: It was the Trump catch wind of it.
- 35:52Speaker 5: I'm assuming it's funny because my mom I talked to her.
- 35:55Speaker 5: I got home that night and uh she called me
- 35:58Speaker 5: and you know, oh my gosh, like we were we
- 36:00Speaker 5: were delayed. You know, Dad pushed pause and you know,
- 36:03Speaker 5: something was happening, and so their phone started blowing up
- 36:06Speaker 5: there and like some of their Chicago friends are like,
- 36:08Speaker 5: not cool, you know what happened? And so they were
- 36:11Speaker 5: just they were they were they were laughing. They were
- 36:14Speaker 5: thinking it'shysterical. But my mom was like, do you think
- 36:16Speaker 5: President Trump's going to see this? And I was like,
- 36:19Speaker 5: no way, Like he's got I mean we're over there
- 36:21Speaker 5: talking about tariffs and the Middle East and stuff. I go,
- 36:24Speaker 5: no way. And then you know, so the next night,
- 36:26Speaker 5: Friday night, it's like ten PM and Washington number text
- 36:31Speaker 5: me and I said like, hey, this is so and
- 36:33Speaker 5: so with President Trump, Like I think it's it's his
- 36:36Speaker 5: like right hand girl who does all the tweeting and whatnot.
- 36:39Speaker 5: And he delivered a nice text something along the lines of,
- 36:43Speaker 5: you know, you delivered your speech with the same fiery
- 36:45Speaker 5: approach that you took to the game. I was like,
- 36:47Speaker 5: oh yeah, So I let it sit that night because
- 36:50Speaker 5: I was like, I don't know if I'm getting pranked
- 36:52Speaker 5: or whatnot. So the next day, the packers pr was
- 36:54Speaker 5: calling me saying, hey, certain someone wants to get in
- 36:56Speaker 5: touch with you. So I just replied back and I
- 36:58Speaker 5: wrote something nice to him, and and uh, He's like,
- 37:02Speaker 5: all right, you know, stay in touch. I was like,
- 37:06Speaker 5: but like, listen, we won the super Bowl when Obama
- 37:11Speaker 5: was in office, and and Obama his wife Michelle, her brother,
- 37:14Speaker 5: I believe, was like the Oregon basketball coach or women's
- 37:17Speaker 5: basketball and I met him, so he you know, he
- 37:21Speaker 5: shook everybody's hands and was like, you know, nice to
- 37:23Speaker 5: meet you them. When he saw me, you know, it's
- 37:25Speaker 5: the whole key and key and pel sketch like that.
- 37:28Speaker 5: I think, yeah, I want to say he dapped me up.
- 37:29Speaker 5: We got to look back through the archives, but he
- 37:32Speaker 5: was so cool, Like he was so cool, just like
- 37:35Speaker 5: knew about my family history, knew about my brother going
- 37:37Speaker 5: to Oregon, and I was like, man, this is this
- 37:40Speaker 5: is great. Anytime you have the now here's me, you know,
- 37:43Speaker 5: anytime you have the the ability, the opportunity, I should
- 37:46Speaker 5: say to like meet the president, like it's it's awesome.
- 37:49Speaker 4: You take it as you get so so.
- 37:53Speaker 5: It was awesome. It was the joke landed, you know,
- 37:56Speaker 5: made a contact out of it, made a friend and
- 37:59Speaker 5: we carried on.
- 38:00Speaker 2: When you met Obama? Had you was the key and
- 38:03Speaker 2: peel sketch before Obama?
- 38:05Speaker 5: I think it was after, it was after? Yeah, I
- 38:08Speaker 5: have no clue, but I just wanted to know what side.
- 38:10Speaker 2: I'm wondering if it's like in your head the sketches
- 38:12Speaker 2: out there, like is he gonna try and shake my head?
- 38:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna make it known that we're dat.
- 38:16Speaker 5: I was reading his enterancy, you know. Yeah when he
- 38:18Speaker 5: had the little laugh you know, like and the hey,
- 38:20Speaker 5: and the hand was up, yeah, the elbows up by
- 38:25Speaker 5: yeah Obama.
- 38:26Speaker 4: He understood. Man, the whole thanks Obama thing, he like
- 38:29Speaker 4: he like leaned into that as well. When everyone was
- 38:32Speaker 4: like thanks Obama, did everything inflation so high?
- 38:34Speaker 2: Thanks Obama?
- 38:35Speaker 4: That and he had this bit where he had a
- 38:36Speaker 4: giant cookie and a glass of milk, and the COOKI
- 38:39Speaker 4: wouldn't fit in the glass of milk. He's like, thanks Obama.
- 38:41Speaker 4: He had a whole bunch of stuff like that, and
- 38:43Speaker 4: then the dapt thing I got. I got hands shook
- 38:46Speaker 4: by Obama. One time it was me, Donard Robinson and
- 38:49Speaker 4: Patrick o'mama. He was doing a commencement speech at Michigan
- 38:52Speaker 4: and he dapped up Patrick o'mammy. Black guy dapped up
- 38:56Speaker 4: Denar Robinson. Black guy gave me the stern white guy. Yeah,
- 39:00Speaker 4: so we are not on the same level.
- 39:01Speaker 5: Did you have you show though?
- 39:02Speaker 4: I think I was wearing like a blue Michigan collared
- 39:04Speaker 4: shirt and khaki pants and he's like this, yeah, cat clean, Yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 4: old linemen walked up. Nice to meet you, Nice to

- 40:38Speaker 4: You know, it was actually looking up stuff before this
- 40:40Speaker 4: episode on different NBA Finals stuff. But the thing that
- 40:43Speaker 4: comes to mind the most is Lebron's down three to one, yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 4: and coming back and winning it. That's to me, there's money.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah. We were in Mexico when I was watching those games,
- 40:54Speaker 2: and that was electric. Everybody's everybody's packed around the TVs
- 40:58Speaker 2: at the bar and seeing them come back as when
- 40:59Speaker 2: they went down three to one and then ray Allen
- 41:03Speaker 2: bangs at three to kind of ignite them coming all
- 41:06Speaker 2: the way back, that that was electric.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Might be mixing together finals?
- 41:10Speaker 2: Yeah, am I mixing together finals? Yeah?
- 41:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you're thinking of with Miami. When ray Allen hit
- 41:14Speaker 1: a three three to one, was with the.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Calves because that was his first year. He came back
- 41:21Speaker 4: from Miami, right, Yeah, came back and went with the
- 41:23Speaker 4: Calves and one of the.
- 41:24Speaker 5: Yeah you're thinking of Kyrie though, when I hit that
- 41:27Speaker 5: three to Okay, that was that the game was.
- 41:29Speaker 1: That was I don't think it was the last game,
- 41:31Speaker 1: but it was a game seven.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, I guess the Warrior block.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Yeah, because Lebron. That's that's right, Lebron.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Because that was the year the Warriors had like the
- 41:44Speaker 2: like arguably the best regular season of all.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Timer seventy three and nine.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Yeah, which is insane crazy, That is crazy.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Other than that, I think of like when m J
- 41:52Speaker 2: was playing back in the nineties, like because Space Jam
- 41:54Speaker 2: it came out.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I don't think I recognized how great MJ
- 41:58Speaker 4: was until The Last Dance came out because I was
- 42:00Speaker 4: taking a think in a way to like, how do
- 42:01Speaker 4: we bring up who's our goat? And my my answer
- 42:05Speaker 4: would be Michael Jordan. But the only reason why I
- 42:07Speaker 4: bring up that answer is because it would be because
- 42:09Speaker 4: the Last Dance. The Last Dance was one of the
- 42:11Speaker 4: best documentaries I've ever seen in my entire life.
- 42:13Speaker 5: I love when former players give, Like I always enjoy
- 42:18Speaker 5: seeing former players give like Jordan his his praise or
- 42:21Speaker 5: flowers or his prop same with Kobe. It's fun to watch,
- 42:25Speaker 5: you know because as a fan of the game, and
- 42:26Speaker 5: I hope when it's all said and done, because you know,
- 42:29Speaker 5: when football it's tough. It's like, you know Taylor was,
- 42:31Speaker 5: you know, I beat him a couple of two. You know,
- 42:32Speaker 5: it's like we have such an ego. It's always nice
- 42:35Speaker 5: when you know, you see the guys on like the
- 42:36Speaker 5: TNT de desk or whatnot kind of let their guard down,
- 42:39Speaker 5: so to speak, and you know, give praise to other
- 42:42Speaker 5: great players. It's fun to watch as a fan, Like
- 42:45Speaker 5: you only hope that the NFL can tee because I
- 42:47Speaker 5: just find like in the NFL world, everyone's so guarded that,
- 42:50Speaker 5: you know, we're always so worried about.
- 42:51Speaker 4: The pastring always going on.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:53Speaker 5: Yeah, Like it was like that that interview you did
- 42:56Speaker 5: with like Luke Keikley. I was like watching that, like, dude,
- 42:58Speaker 5: that was like, what a great guy. Now, you know,
- 43:00Speaker 5: I'm just sitting here like, dude, great guy. Like I
- 43:03Speaker 5: just you know, you want to give someone their flowers
- 43:05Speaker 5: and their praise and stuff. That's just just a separate
- 43:07Speaker 5: I wonder.
- 43:07Speaker 2: And taking the approach too of like you just being
- 43:10Speaker 2: a fan of the game and realizing it's like you know,
- 43:13Speaker 2: anytime we've had you on a being around you out
- 43:15Speaker 2: like I mess around with you. But it's like appreciating
- 43:17Speaker 2: the game and art that you had on the field.
- 43:19Speaker 2: I love to refer to it as art. But just
- 43:22Speaker 2: giving guys their praise like you are a fan because
- 43:24Speaker 2: we were all we were all those little kids growing
- 43:26Speaker 2: up watching these players play just because you played with
- 43:29Speaker 2: them against them where they're older and you younger and
- 43:31Speaker 2: you same age, it's like it's still the same approach.
- 43:34Speaker 2: I feel like people mess with that because again, your
- 43:36Speaker 2: fans watching the game, and when you see other greats
- 43:38Speaker 2: or other players that are sitting there taking it from
- 43:40Speaker 2: like the fan perspective and just appreciating it, because it's like, uh, yeah,
- 43:44Speaker 2: your ego getting the way of like throwing some flowers
- 43:46Speaker 2: somewhere right right, and he guess what, you just want
- 43:48Speaker 2: to be like, yeah, I played pretty good.
- 43:50Speaker 4: Right, Especially when you're playing like you you feel like
- 43:53Speaker 4: you shouldn't give it. I don't know if you feel
- 43:54Speaker 4: like you shouldn't get people flowers, but like the thought
- 43:56Speaker 4: of giving somebody else flowers, like it almost takes away
- 43:58Speaker 4: from you when it shouldn't be that way at all.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Because you see these X basketball players and they do
- 44:03Speaker 4: definitely give more flowers than like football players do. And
- 44:06Speaker 4: then Keithley coming on, I'm just watching this guy like
- 44:08Speaker 4: he was the ultimate team guy. Just the way he's talking.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Is he so accomplished that he's not worried? Or is
- 44:13Speaker 4: it was he always this way? Because the way he
- 44:16Speaker 4: even talks about his career, It's.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Like, Bro, you don't.
- 44:18Speaker 4: You don't understand, Like how good, how fucking good you were.
- 44:21Speaker 4: He was incredible. Even when he had concussions and he
- 44:24Speaker 4: couldn't be physical anymore, he was just as productive, like
- 44:27Speaker 4: keeping his head out of everything, which to me is impossible. Yeah,
- 44:30Speaker 4: to be able to transition.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Like that, even just giving this teammates as flowers too,
- 44:35Speaker 2: Like it could have been so easy for him to
- 44:36Speaker 2: talk about how they checked to two there and not
- 44:39Speaker 2: really brought up Thomas Davis, but how he goes into
- 44:41Speaker 2: each guy and how it made the play work and
- 44:43Speaker 2: everything else. It's, yeah, it was. It was awesome, JP.
- 44:50Speaker 2: I know you're a big NBA guy. Your fondest memory
- 44:53Speaker 2: of the NBA Finals.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Every actually comes from one of my dreams because I'm
- 44:58Speaker 1: a big Heat fan. And in this dream, I guess
- 45:01Speaker 1: I was in college, but I'm in the huddle, I'm
- 45:05Speaker 1: on the team, and it's Coach Spoe. He's he's coaching us,
- 45:09Speaker 1: and we're drawing up the final play. We're down by
- 45:11Speaker 1: two and we're all thinking it's going to Lebron and
- 45:14Speaker 1: Coach Poe is like, no, JP, it's coming to you.
- 45:17Speaker 1: D Wade is gonna inbound, Lebron is gonna set the
- 45:19Speaker 1: screen at the top of the key, You're gonna come
- 45:21Speaker 1: around the screen, You're gonna bang it home, and we're
- 45:23Speaker 1: gonna bring a championship to a three oh five. I was,
- 45:25Speaker 1: all right, let's do it. Knock it down, knock down
- 45:29Speaker 1: the three get lifted up on Lebron and d Wade's
- 45:31Speaker 1: shoulders and legit. My dream ends as I'm like walking
- 45:34Speaker 1: out or on their shoulders with the trophy and just
- 45:38Speaker 1: like this is the greatest day of my life. And
- 45:40Speaker 1: then I wake up and how to go to class.
- 45:44Speaker 1: I'm not aware of what I just accomplished, but that's
- 45:47Speaker 1: one of my favorites. That is beautiful growing up, I mean,
- 45:50Speaker 1: so many summers like June. I feel like the NBA
- 45:53Speaker 1: Finals to me is summer growing up where like June hits,
- 45:57Speaker 1: you're out of school, you're with all your friends, you're
- 45:59Speaker 1: watching it's hopefully a great series, and we had so
- 46:02Speaker 1: many good series growing up, so that.
- 46:06Speaker 5: A little emotional back there. That's good. Yeah, that was
- 46:08Speaker 5: a great, great dream. I remember growing up in LA
- 46:13Speaker 5: just walking watching the Lakers Kobe Shack even before them,
- 46:16Speaker 5: Nick nam Xul but I remember big shot Bob Robert
- 46:20Speaker 5: Orry nailing down a three. I want to say it
- 46:22Speaker 5: was against the Kings or something that was always a
- 46:24Speaker 5: heated rivalry versus the Kings Vlade Divac but uh yeah,
- 46:30Speaker 5: who was uh Derek Fisher too hitting that shot against
- 46:33Speaker 5: Was it San Antonio with point point something seconds?
- 46:37Speaker 2: Like?
- 46:37Speaker 5: Just lots of good memories.
- 46:40Speaker 2: NBA.
- 46:40Speaker 5: It's fun to watch.
- 46:42Speaker 4: I gotta get into it more.
- 46:43Speaker 2: We would have.
- 46:44Speaker 4: I gotta be more intentional about watching the NBA.
- 46:46Speaker 2: And Nebraska, like when we were doing the summer training
- 46:49Speaker 2: and everything else, like be in June and all the
- 46:51Speaker 2: guys would get together. It was back back when Lebron
- 46:53Speaker 2: was young and they had that series, remember against the
- 46:56Speaker 2: against the Spurs.
- 46:57Speaker 1: Yeah, when they just started killing him.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah, Bro, they were killing him because you're either just
- 47:04Speaker 2: like now, you're either pro for Lebron or you're against Lebron.
- 47:07Speaker 2: And when that went down, the Spurs end up beating him.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Oh that was tough.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I was fighting for my life as a Lebron Yeah.
- 47:14Speaker 1: You still almost average a triple double?
- 47:15Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and then just shelled up, Yeah, shelled up.
- 47:22Speaker 2: All Right, We're gonna take a quick break. We'll get
- 47:24Speaker 2: into this ad read because we got to get the
- 47:26Speaker 2: Larry O'Brien trophy out of here. NBA. Thank you guys
- 47:29Speaker 2: for bringing this trophy. Yes, and we'll be right back
- 47:32Speaker 2: up to this. We interrupt this episode because we were
- 47:35Speaker 2: brought to you by Neutral Vodka Seltzer. Have you tried Neutral?
- 47:38Speaker 2: If not, you were missing out. Neutral is so much
- 47:40Speaker 2: better than any other seltzer that I have ever tried.
- 47:43Speaker 2: It's made with real vodka, real juice. That's what makes
- 47:46Speaker 2: it delicious. Neutral comes in a variety of flavors, a
- 47:49Speaker 2: couple of my personal favorite, watermelon and pineapple. I say
- 47:52Speaker 2: it every week, watermelon and pineapple. They also now have
- 47:55Speaker 2: new flavors, lime and strawberry. Neutral is the perfect drink
- 47:59Speaker 2: to bring when hanging with friends because it is such
- 48:02Speaker 2: a crowd pleaser. Whether you're at a bar, watching the game,
- 48:04Speaker 2: in the backyard with friends, at a tailgate, doesn't matter.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Have some Neutral in hand. Neutral, Keep it tasty. Boys.
- 48:10Speaker 2: How was how was Mother's Day? Weekend?
- 48:13Speaker 4: It's good? Yeah, it's nice. Yeah yeah good yeah yeah, Like, uh,
- 48:19Speaker 4: we didn't really do nothing.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Good.
- 48:24Speaker 4: No, I literally I turned Mother's Day into Mother's Weekend
- 48:29Speaker 4: and we just basically me and the kids. I had
- 48:30Speaker 4: like a sit down conversation with my kids Friday night,
- 48:32Speaker 4: and I was like, when you wake up in the morning,
- 48:33Speaker 4: you wake me up. Mom is not doing anything. Anything
- 48:36Speaker 4: she doesn't want to do, She's not doing And so
- 48:39Speaker 4: it was just like treetailing like a queen for forty
- 48:42Speaker 4: eight hours. And in my head I was like we
- 48:44Speaker 4: got so we had like mulch done and stuff like
- 48:46Speaker 4: that for like the property, but I didn't like get flowers.
- 48:48Speaker 4: I didn't get a card, and I was like trying
- 48:50Speaker 4: something new. And last night she was fired up on it.
- 48:53Speaker 4: She's like, I really appreciate the way you did this
- 48:54Speaker 4: Mother's Day.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Was what was to trying something new?
- 48:57Speaker 4: Try something new, like usually just get like the cards
- 48:59Speaker 4: and the floor hour and you do something the kids
- 49:01Speaker 4: make a craft, which the kids did make a little something.
- 49:03Speaker 4: But we just kind of just was like, Hey, this
- 49:05Speaker 4: weekend's about you. Whatever you want to do.
- 49:07Speaker 2: What's we're gonna do.
- 49:08Speaker 4: We had antique stores, we got a nice little coffee
- 49:10Speaker 4: in the morning, like just do whatever she wanted. And
- 49:12Speaker 4: then like Sunday night, her friend Natalie came over and
- 49:14Speaker 4: she's like, yo, I I this was an awesome Mother's
- 49:17Speaker 4: Day weekend. I appreciate the way you did it intentionally
- 49:19Speaker 4: as supposed to just handing me whatever, because something that's
- 49:22Speaker 4: so easy to kind of like, hey, here's something, here's
- 49:25Speaker 4: something happened Monesday. Let's go back to our regular, you know,
- 49:27Speaker 4: regular scheduled programming. But yeah, Taylor was, she was happy,
- 49:31Speaker 4: and that's all it matters. I can't I set the tone.
- 49:34Speaker 4: I can't wait for Father's Day, can't wait for Father's Day.
- 49:37Speaker 2: What you believe putting Mother's Day together with Father's Day
- 49:40Speaker 2: in mind, it's a real thing, though it's a school
- 49:42Speaker 2: board thing. You kind of played a game a little bit,
- 49:45Speaker 2: see what y'all do. Woke Uh, we did a sleepover
- 49:50Speaker 2: with Rue on Saturday, nice, which was you know, fun.
- 49:53Speaker 2: She had you know, she didn't want to go to
- 49:55Speaker 2: bed the whole time. But I was giddy because it
- 49:56Speaker 2: was kind of my first time doing a sleep over
- 49:57Speaker 2: with Rough because she's done it with Charlie before. Woke up,
- 50:02Speaker 2: brought Ru out to kind of bring her out, bring
- 50:04Speaker 2: her out of the room and surprise her. Got her flowers,
- 50:06Speaker 2: better flowers than I have in the past. And Rue
- 50:09Speaker 2: had a little craft thing made for and then I
- 50:11Speaker 2: took the kids like I got Scotti, got the kids ready,
- 50:14Speaker 2: took them to Bingi's Bagels to pick up Charles' favorite
- 50:17Speaker 2: bagel because she loves benji No free shout us to Benji's.
- 50:20Speaker 4: What's Benji' where's Benji's at?
- 50:22Speaker 2: It's over in on the west side, kind of we're
- 50:24Speaker 2: our old, Uh, we're our old the church warehouse.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's yeah, they see where they make it. Yeah, okay,
- 50:30Speaker 4: I think.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Down that road on the right. Came back to her.
- 50:33Speaker 2: She's reading outside on the front porch, and then we
- 50:36Speaker 2: went to Whole Foods to shop for She loves doing picnics,
- 50:40Speaker 2: so we got everything needed for a picnic, went out,
- 50:42Speaker 2: did the whole picnic, had a good time for a
- 50:44Speaker 2: couple hours out there, put the kids down for a nap.
- 50:46Speaker 2: She got up, she had like a sound bath. Have
- 50:49Speaker 2: you ever heard of those? She had like a sound
- 50:51Speaker 2: bath at like four point thirty, So had a few
- 50:53Speaker 2: hours to herself where ripping with the kids, and then
- 50:57Speaker 2: made her to where it's like a sound bath is
- 51:00Speaker 2: essentially yeah, like you take your own pillow, you got
- 51:04Speaker 2: a blanket, and you're just sitting in a room with
- 51:06Speaker 2: just sounds to where you meditate, fall asleep, take like
- 51:08Speaker 2: a nap. Well, I guess whatever you want to do.
- 51:11Speaker 2: And she came home. I had some steak and shrimp
- 51:13Speaker 2: with some some with a garlic cream sauce getting made.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Oh shit.
- 51:17Speaker 2: We had steak and shrimp and asparagus, had a nice
- 51:20Speaker 2: little dinner. I put Scottie down. Rue was adamant about, hey, mama,
- 51:25Speaker 2: mama putting me.
- 51:26Speaker 4: To that's a slish mind.
- 51:28Speaker 2: So Charlie had to kind of put I had to
- 51:30Speaker 2: kind of put Rude down. And Scotty's been a little
- 51:31Speaker 2: under the weather. She's got like a little cold going on.
- 51:33Speaker 2: So we were kind of ended a little bit last night,
- 51:35Speaker 2: but overall, very solid, very good, well executed Mother's Day.
- 51:39Speaker 2: I brought Rue because you guys know, the flowers got
- 51:41Speaker 2: chipped to the shop last week. So on Saturday, I
- 51:44Speaker 2: want to go pick him up because I couldn't. I
- 51:46Speaker 2: didn't want to like put him in the truck, so
- 51:48Speaker 2: I used Charles's car to come over and pick him up.
- 51:50Speaker 2: And I'm kind of telling Rue, like, obviously you know
- 51:52Speaker 2: it's gonna fall through with the three year old, but
- 51:53Speaker 2: I'm just telling Rue, like, hey, this is a secret.
- 51:55Speaker 2: This between you, and that you can't tell mom about
- 51:57Speaker 2: the flowers. When we go inside, we don't tell her
- 51:59Speaker 2: about the flowers. You can say she has a surprise,
- 52:00Speaker 2: but we don't tell her until tomorrow. She's like, one
- 52:03Speaker 2: more sleep and then we tell her tomorrow. I'm like,
- 52:04Speaker 2: you will go to bed tonight, we'll have a sleep,
- 52:06Speaker 2: and then we'll surprise her tomorrow with the flowers. So
- 52:08Speaker 2: she comes in and she's kind of like, oh, well,
- 52:11Speaker 2: what got you a secret? And then we're kind of,
- 52:13Speaker 2: you know, playing it cool, like hey, play it cool,
- 52:15Speaker 2: and we're kind of sitting there on the couch and
- 52:17Speaker 2: she's like, one more sleep and then we show you
- 52:20Speaker 2: the flowers. Look around. God, damn it God, and Charles
- 52:26Speaker 2: starts laughing. But the good Mother's day man, the.
- 52:29Speaker 4: Three year old being adamant about mom putting them down.
- 52:31Speaker 4: There's no doubt my kids choose my wife over me,
- 52:34Speaker 4: There's no doubt about it. But for whatever reason, it
- 52:36Speaker 4: clicked this year and I was like, guys, like, I
- 52:38Speaker 4: know you want them to put you down, but it's
- 52:40Speaker 4: about mom. Like, wouldn't mom want to put us down
- 52:42Speaker 4: on Mother's Day? Great wrinkle, great wrinkle? Went nice job. However,
- 52:48Speaker 4: no yeah, no, I'm gonna do it. So they were.
- 52:50Speaker 4: They were all on board, which is nice. Hopefully they
- 52:53Speaker 4: continue to do it. Hopefully they continue to handle business.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Said a good showing what is your Father's Day gift
- 52:59Speaker 2: that you like my Father's Day? Like, hey, here's how
- 53:03Speaker 2: I kind.
- 53:03Speaker 4: Of like, I don't know because we've done the that
- 53:06Speaker 4: one year we had with you and Dennis and everybody
- 53:09Speaker 4: when we went and just like had had a boys
- 53:11Speaker 4: day set up at a whole boys day that was sick.
- 53:14Speaker 4: But I feel like my kids, like because when's older
- 53:17Speaker 4: and like the second just being more developed because they
- 53:19Speaker 4: just watched their oldest the oldest sibling, like they like
- 53:22Speaker 4: are really intentional about like Mother's Day, fathers like celebrating
- 53:26Speaker 4: that person. So like I kind of just want them
- 53:28Speaker 4: to have fun with it, like whatever you guys think,
- 53:31Speaker 4: because to me, it's like got to sleep in, like
- 53:33Speaker 4: let me sleep as long as I want. And then
- 53:35Speaker 4: after that it's like.
- 53:36Speaker 5: You can do that as usual for me. Yeah, like
- 53:38Speaker 5: I feel like she lets me sleep in. My wife
- 53:41Speaker 5: will make me breakfast, which is really nice. Kids, will
- 53:44Speaker 5: you know, give you cards, and then after that, by
- 53:47Speaker 5: about lunch, it's like all right, I'm cooking mac and
- 53:49Speaker 5: cheese from my girl, you know, and then then then
- 53:53Speaker 5: it's business as usual. Man. She might let me sneak
- 53:55Speaker 5: away for anap, But I think it's all about expectations,
- 53:57Speaker 5: you know. It's just just knowing what you're getting yourself.
- 53:59Speaker 5: And if you think the whole day is gonna be
- 54:00Speaker 5: about being pampered and whatnot, it's like, just just be real.
- 54:03Speaker 5: If you get to sleep in, that's a win in
- 54:05Speaker 5: my book.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Yeah, the way that the sleepy let me go sneak off.
- 54:11Speaker 4: I'm not a big nap guy. You love the nap,
- 54:13Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 54:14Speaker 2: I just I get a little mid day of sleeping.
- 54:15Speaker 5: How long is you nap?
- 54:17Speaker 2: From forty five minutes to an hour?
- 54:18Speaker 5: Perfect?
- 54:19Speaker 2: It's like when the kids go down, like we were
- 54:21Speaker 2: in a rhythm when we put Root down for a
- 54:23Speaker 2: nap on weekends where it's like, I'd give me a
- 54:25Speaker 2: little nap in on the love sack. I fall asleep
- 54:27Speaker 2: for a good forty five minutes phil rejuvenated nap while
- 54:30Speaker 2: they're napping. Gosh. So that's kind of my vibe.
- 54:34Speaker 4: See, I can't do that if I go like take
- 54:35Speaker 4: a nap at like two three o'clock I'm up. I'm up,
- 54:39Speaker 4: Like I can't fall asleep at night. For me, it's like,
- 54:41Speaker 4: let's just grind through this midday sleepiness.
- 54:43Speaker 5: What's your sleep time? On time you go to sleep
- 54:45Speaker 5: at night? What time you wake up?
- 54:47Speaker 4: If it was my world, I'm going to bed a
- 54:49Speaker 4: nine thirty about sleep. I'm more like that ten ten thirty,
- 54:54Speaker 4: intentionally winding everything down at ten because my wife, she
- 54:57Speaker 4: she's a little night owl. I like to get up
- 54:59Speaker 4: a little earlier so you fall sleep after eleven. Usually
- 55:02Speaker 4: it's eleven that the TV's going off, which sucks. Which
- 55:06Speaker 4: sucks because I do really just want to like, hey,
- 55:08Speaker 4: if we just go to sleep at nine thirty, week
- 55:09Speaker 4: up a little earlier, we get more out of the day. Yeah,
- 55:12Speaker 4: you know, I'm all about that night falls. As soon
- 55:14Speaker 4: as night falls, I see that sun starting to set,
- 55:16Speaker 4: my brain turns into ah, yeah, I'm the same. How
- 55:20Speaker 4: do I figure out a way to get everyone to
- 55:21Speaker 4: sleep so I can also go to sleep. I'm kind
- 55:23Speaker 4: of a nightmare at night.
- 55:24Speaker 5: See. My mind is about getting the kids to sleep
- 55:26Speaker 5: so I can have some me time, some US time
- 55:28Speaker 5: between the life and I between me. Even if it's
- 55:30Speaker 5: just like mindless, like watch or whatever it may be.
- 55:34Speaker 5: But I'm I I feel like I put myself in
- 55:37Speaker 5: a in a pickle, so to speak. That like I
- 55:39Speaker 5: don't go to sleep until like midnight or something. Our
- 55:41Speaker 5: kids school starts like an hour early before everyone else.
- 55:44Speaker 5: So I'm up at six am. And then I do
- 55:46Speaker 5: that for about four or five days, and then I
- 55:48Speaker 5: just crash one.
- 55:48Speaker 4: Yeah, the crash is real too.
- 55:50Speaker 5: Nine thirty ten o'clock sleep into like eight the next day,
- 55:53Speaker 5: but then it powers me through the next four or
- 55:54Speaker 5: five days. I know, I know it's not you know,
- 55:57Speaker 5: it's not great for longevity, but you know, I'm just
- 56:00Speaker 5: trying to get these kids right.
- 56:01Speaker 4: It makes you look at like the Rock and like
- 56:03Speaker 4: Kevin Hart, but like, how the fuck do they do that?
- 56:05Speaker 4: They're sleeping four hours a night. They're optimal, man. Yeah,
- 56:09Speaker 4: they're on that medicine three point Oh, medicine three point.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Doctor Gabriell lyon can It's referred to as like, yeah, yeah.
- 56:17Speaker 4: We're on that.
- 56:18Speaker 2: I'm about to be on it. I'm diving in this week.
- 56:21Speaker 5: What's this?
- 56:22Speaker 2: So on the sleep thing, I can get good sleep
- 56:25Speaker 2: and I'll still have like midday sleepiness. Yeah, Like it's
- 56:28Speaker 2: just I don't know. For whatever reason, I just get
- 56:30Speaker 2: like a midday crash. But the medicine three point oh
- 56:32Speaker 2: stuff is like preventative medicine versus reactionary where it's like
- 56:37Speaker 2: you'll go to primary care or you'll go to a dock.
- 56:39Speaker 2: By the time you go to a dock, you already
- 56:40Speaker 2: got something going on. But like all those fool on
- 56:42Speaker 2: one hundred plus blood panels. There's a spot down in
- 56:45Speaker 2: Franklin called Paradigm. No free shoutouts to Paradigm, but I'm
- 56:50Speaker 2: diving in this week because as you know, I've I've
- 56:53Speaker 2: hurt my back so many different times, and this last time,
- 56:55Speaker 2: I'm just I'm legitimately so pissed off that my back
- 56:58Speaker 2: keeps getting re injured. And I'm at the point too
- 57:01Speaker 2: where it's like I'm thirty five, like if I keep
- 57:04Speaker 2: doing the same habits that I'm doing, like I could
- 57:06Speaker 2: have some actual problems by the time I'm forty. So
- 57:08Speaker 2: it's like I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.
- 57:11Speaker 2: So now I'm going to this spot. I went to
- 57:13Speaker 2: this pt shut out Griffin down at a Paradigm, and
- 57:17Speaker 2: they have this whole thing to where it's like they'll
- 57:19Speaker 2: have like this medicine three point zero type of approach,
- 57:22Speaker 2: so we'll do all these labs, Dexa scans like things
- 57:25Speaker 2: to where it's like what your goals are and Taylor
- 57:28Speaker 2: like lifestyle towards those goals. So that is what this
- 57:31Speaker 2: week I'm diving into. I'm getting Charle on board too, really. Yeah.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Yeah, when you brought it to me last week, it
- 57:36Speaker 4: fires me up because we've been doing the Gabrielle line
- 57:38Speaker 4: for a little bit, but it's always zoom calls and
- 57:40Speaker 4: then you have to do blood samples and then those
- 57:42Speaker 4: takes a couple of weeks and then by the time
- 57:43Speaker 4: it's like a month past.
- 57:44Speaker 2: I'll get lazy.
- 57:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and you get a little lazy with it. But
- 57:47Speaker 4: having somewhere to go in town is the move. Yeah,
- 57:50Speaker 4: And they have the Dexa scans, they have all that
- 57:51Speaker 4: stuff apparently, Like, we'll just fill me in on this
- 57:54Speaker 4: a little bit, and I think I'm gonna get the
- 57:55Speaker 4: family on that too. It's might reach out soon because
- 57:58Speaker 4: it is nice, like dude, being able to operate cognitively, energy,
- 58:02Speaker 4: all that stuff. It's like, it's what you're seeking. Twenty
- 58:04Speaker 4: four seven when you start to get older, once thirty hits,
- 58:08Speaker 4: back starts to hurt. Things just start to hurt more
- 58:10Speaker 4: than ever. And I just don't understand it.
- 58:12Speaker 2: Dude. I'll sneeze and I get nervous when I sneeze.
- 58:15Speaker 5: Hey, So like right now, today's like the first day
- 58:17Speaker 5: I'm coming off back spasms last week.
- 58:19Speaker 4: Hey, I'm saying you when you got here, you kept
- 58:21Speaker 4: like doing something with your back.
- 58:22Speaker 5: Like I'm sitting in this chair at an angle because
- 58:24Speaker 5: this is not a Herman Miller lumbar support chair, yeah
- 58:28Speaker 5: that I have at the house. But uh yeah, so no,
- 58:30Speaker 5: we my wife and I we took a little early
- 58:33Speaker 5: Mother's Day, her birthday, my birthday vacation to BlackBerry Farm
- 58:37Speaker 5: and you know, in East Tennessee. And man, that I
- 58:40Speaker 5: was driving out there, I feel that my left extensor
- 58:43Speaker 5: start burning in the car.
- 58:45Speaker 2: Now you're just suggesting while you're driving.
- 58:47Speaker 5: I'm sitting forward. So finally let her drive. I'm like
- 58:49Speaker 5: completely flat, and the whole time I stave it off,
- 58:53Speaker 5: like you know, she wants to do pickleball. I rallied
- 58:55Speaker 5: mountain biking, I rallied hiking. You know, let's go. It was, yeah,
- 59:01Speaker 5: and then as soon as I get home, I'm like,
- 59:03Speaker 5: all right, I dodged a bullet and then that Monday
- 59:05Speaker 5: just just and then I'm on the ground for two
- 59:08Speaker 5: full days until the spasm gives out or gives up,
- 59:12Speaker 5: and now I'm working on pushing that inflammation out. So
- 59:15Speaker 5: like right here, I'm just like buddy, yeah, yeah, And
- 59:18Speaker 5: it's crazy because I'm thirty eight year younger than me
- 59:21Speaker 5: and I've had scans on my back and they're like,
- 59:23Speaker 5: I remember the word was capacious. You have a capacious
- 59:26Speaker 5: like uh, you know, like spinal whatever. Because I'm almost
- 59:29Speaker 5: hoping they find something so we can surgically fix it
- 59:31Speaker 5: because it happens about four times a year to where
- 59:33Speaker 5: I'm just my wife knows I'm out of commission, but
- 59:36Speaker 5: don't ask anything for me.
- 59:37Speaker 2: You're looking at a merror right now.
- 59:39Speaker 5: But here's here's my problem. I'm excited to hear you
- 59:41Speaker 5: talk about that, but here's where it gets me. It's like,
- 59:43Speaker 5: it's going to take a commitment from you. It's yes,
- 59:46Speaker 5: But the thing is like every time I think I
- 59:47Speaker 5: want to make a commitment, I'm going to do physical therapy.
- 59:50Speaker 5: I'm going to get my core right. Then I go
- 59:51Speaker 5: and I start feeling better. I go ah, just getting that.
- 59:54Speaker 4: Is every man. It's like the stretching thing. It's like
- 59:57Speaker 4: I'm going to stretch ason asy wake up in the
- 59:59Speaker 4: morning'm gonna stch the day. I say, hey, when I
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: before I go to bed tonight, I'm gonna stretch. And
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: then you're laying better. You're like tomorrow we start and
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: it's just a vicious circle over and over again.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: But I feel like I'm not ready to make that
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: commitment to a healthier lifestyle.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's all too. It gets where it happens
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: again and then you start bringing up the surgery, and
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: that's the one thing I want to just get far
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: away from because they'll bring something back. Oh you got
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: some degeneration going on your L four and L five,
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: like just that kind of stuff.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Yeah, but everyone has like some sort of herniated disc's thirteen. Like,
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: luckily I haven't had any back pain like you guys
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: are dealing with. But I got little, this little new thing.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: But the spine is the most terrifying thing.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: And once you start once what he says, that not
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: the same conversation that I've kind of had with you
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: on Like it'll happen four or five times a year.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: Once a month, Will and I have a conversation about
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: his back and what we both need to start doing
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: more and better.
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: But it'll be something. I remember I was getting my
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: shotgun out because it was like Turkey season. I went
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: to go put it on the table, you know, like, oh,
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: I just threw it on the ground like I was like, well,
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: I wasn't load or anything like that. That was just
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: what I was doing. But it's it's the most like
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: I was getting a cutting. We're out one time, and
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: you know, like you just throw everything, Yeah, just grabs
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: on you. But I can work at my property and
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: lift something incredibly heavy and brace you know, brace the
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: core and whatnot. But it's always the little things like
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: bending over to you know, help your kid out of
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: the back, whatever it may be. Where it's it's you know,
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: you feel like it shouldn't happen. And then of course
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: you're like why I'm you know, I'm thirty eight, Like
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: this shouldn't be like this. And then I go back
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: to my and I'm like, I'm good, I gotta quit, bitch.
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: And but it's a bad cycle, and.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: It's a territ it's a nasty cycle. Like you're talking
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: about just the smallest things. I'll pick ru up out
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: of bed and it'll just fucking grab me and then
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: I drop like I'll lift, drop, rude down, drop the guns,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: drop the babies dead. That hurt his back. And she's
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: back from surfing because when we were out in Hawaii,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: we surfed and I had to end up stop surfing
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: because I was say, hey, my back is an absolute
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: help from surfing, but you grind it out. Wife wants
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: to surf, grind it out. She wants to play tennis,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: grind out in the whole entire next week. Back from Hawaii.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm in fucking hell right nowh God.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: I don't envy that because I'm younger than you know.
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: I feel like I'm two years away from that happening.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: I just feel like we're all in different state.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: A yeah, but it's it. You know. When I was
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: in Vegas and I got rolled out by the big
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: big Bertha, which I love doing. Oh you did the
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: body tempering units body tempering? Yeah, and my man went
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: over my low back and it just it spasmed on
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: me right there and I'm kind of sitting there. It
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: was before the very first practice that I got there
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: probably from flying, and you you do the workout, and
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I'm sitting there like I cannot be hurt, literally before
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: I even go out to walk through. So I'm doing
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: all the band stuff to warm my gluee through practice
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: and come come back after practice, and so I'm gonna
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: do like band distraction to help like decompress my spine.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Bro I got down to decompress my spine to where
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: I I get it like this, I crawl out and
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: then I was just like letting go back decompress. And
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: when I go back in and it compresses back down,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I could not get up off the floor.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: This is exactly. Hey, So I used to have one
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: of those inversion tables. So naturally you get on it
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: and where you like lay backwards and it just fine.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: So you think about it. You lay in that and
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: it hurts a little bit at first, and you get
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: there like, oh, this is so good. I love it.
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: And then the second you start your those muscles that
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: are already in spas and they start to contract your oh,
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: and then you get it's even worse. So you're on
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: the ground. You can't even get off the ground. You
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: have to slowly inch like army crawl your leg up
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: to your side so that way your back the muscles
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: don't fire.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Play the strength coach is coming over. Hey, well you
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: need somethings on. Oh no, I'm just I'm just warning too,
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: something out done here, trying to just fake it, like again,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: I cannot be right now and end up inching my
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: way upd standing, breathing and getting in and I just
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: fucking hobble back, just getting the car, go to the
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: to the hotel, just being like But since that moment,
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: I feel like that area of my back has never
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: been right. When when we that was the time when
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: we wrestled in the in the pool and I got
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: you bodied me but lifting you up and that activated.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: I feel like that lower right side of my back
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: has been in hell ever since.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: Twenty twenty twenty. But you have to laugh at it.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I've had one back thing. We were we went
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: to Arizona to play the Cardinals. We went to Arizona
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: play the Carls. I stayed there the week before, the
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: whole week and then played San Francisco and I played
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: like like fourteen maybe twenty snaps of the game, and
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: my back was in such a pretzel. I had to
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: go back, and I was fucking on all these different
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: by muscle relaxers so much, all these things, and so
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: now I can't shit. I get up in the morning,
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: Like getting out of bed is just like the hardest
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: thing ever. Brushing your teeth. It just even a sneeze.
- 1:04:30Speaker 4: You feel a sneeze coming, You're like, I'm if this comes,
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: it might actually kill me.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: You guys could have saw me on the weight room floor,
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: like just trying to inch up.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: And yeah, yeah, it's embarrassing.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: He uh, you need help doing anything of it. I'm
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: just do some floor work.
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: Let's just do it some floor work.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: But even we were in Green Bay. You were in hell,
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: weren't you.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Yeah, a little bit. Ever, all the travel we did
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: in the springtime, it's like when we went to uh, Nebraska,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: I'm getting stuff to calm me down anytime inflammatory wise,
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: and I just know in my head this is gonna
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: to make me feel good to where it's like I've
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: gotten away with another one and then the next one
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: pops up. So I'm just like I'm battling with myself. Bro.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: When we were in Nebraska, the team was waiting on
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: Will in the locker room and we Will's in the
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: training room and I got one of those closed doors,
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: like he's talking at the doctor right now. I have
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: to go. Jack walks in there like, hey, the team's
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: waiting on you. Guys like, oh for real. So I
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: knock on the door and open up. I Hey, Will,
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: they're waiting on you. And he's like oh really yeah,
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: And Will starts this speech with the entire team and
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: he goes, just got my back looked at. It's not
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: good speak. Start ends up being like an incredible speed.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: This starts the whole thing like that. It was just yeah,
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: this whole trick. Literally, this is the end of the night.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: At the draft. There's still photo and I'm doing something
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: for me doing shirms like it was a name age
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: body count and Will this is Will, that's this is his.
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: Have you ever taken like water bottles and just put
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: it under your lumbard just so when you're sitting like
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: on a like on a plane or something, just to
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: give you just.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: But that's smart. I'll like roll up the hoodies and.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Stuff and just put it. That's desperation mode right there.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Because you just you just know when I'm gonna be
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: in hell.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: I had my like yetti mug, driving big old thick.
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: When I put it right here, I'm gonna drive my mind.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: She's like you, Okay, maybe you should take over. There's
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: only funny in heist when you're going through it and
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: then you have no you're under You're in so much
- 1:06:24Speaker 5: pain and so uncomfortable. Everything pisses you all. You're just
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: yelling at everybody. You're just miserable, and you're.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: Not telling your wife that hey, like, yes, please, foruld
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: love of God, switch me out driving.
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: But you'll move enough to get out of let's go. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I mean if you play with her.
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: Guys that BlackBerry Mountain or BlackBerry Mountain, that's what we did.
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: How was that? Because I've been to farm, but I
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: haven't been the mountain.
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: It's just different. It's it well still it's still an
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: older demographic, but it's more like everybody's in like yoga
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: pants and like active, where whereas like the farm is
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: more eating and yeah, but I like the farm a
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: little bit more, just because you know, with the mountain. Yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: it just it depends. My wife says, the farm the
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: spas there is the best, but the food at the
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: mountain is so good. Everywhere it's really good at the mountains,
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: so good. They got to off the puss up there
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: at the at the fire tower.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: It's really good. SOMEU have you been?
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: You've been a farm, BlackBerry Farm that you need to
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: take the girls there, dude, because it is good. The
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: farm's awesome, Like everything's like farmer table there. It used
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: to be.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: Ruby was it Ruby Tuesdays? Yeah? Ruby Tuesdays. The owner
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: of that bought that land to do like business stuff there.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: What's up Archie Lodge? Just you're what's about BlackBerry Farm?
- 1:07:46Speaker 7: Archie Lodge also the Ruby Tuesdays farms and family owned
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: a bunch of I was just in a Knoxville wedding
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: three weeks ago at the Ruby Tuesday's Lodge was also beautiful.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: But continue basically guys doing well. Yeah, they like all that.
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: Yeah, that's BlackBerry Farm. That's the barn, right, No, that's
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: the No, that's the storry. That's the spa at BlackBerry Farm.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: Spa goes hard there. They could have a better weight room.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: They can definitely have a better We'll hit South Hall. Yes,
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: everyone's the South Hall is the closer farm.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: It's you've been in the South Hall too. I've been
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: to South It's apples and oranges though. Okay, yeah, I'm
- 1:08:20Speaker 5: just helping you out. That's a good birthday weekend, Mother's
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: Day weekend. Probably take a second loan out on your
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: house type weekend.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: But it's yeah, you're dropping a bag to go there. Yeah,
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: it is crazy. And then the Barn, I don't know
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: how the mountain is with the barn is like a
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: five star restaurant where like chefs come from all over
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: the world to like cook there for a season and
- 1:08:42Speaker 4: then they leave.
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: Jesus, Yeah, it's it's nice. The only thing I don't
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: like is like you pay all this money and you
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: can get as much food.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: As you want.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: You know, you start with your appetis. You can get
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: two entrees if you want. I want to try this
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: gallops with my you know, my lambull, and the surfaces
- 1:08:57Speaker 5: are very small, and but then they charge you for
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: the alcohol. You know, I get someone might take advantage
- 1:09:02Speaker 5: of you buying a bottle of wine. But if I
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: just want a beer or two, like you're can charge
- 1:09:05Speaker 5: me for that.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: Do leave a review.
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: I'm not a yell Google review type of guy. I
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: just feel like you just scroll.
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: For you.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: I just if it's if it's all inclusive, make it
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: all inclusive, because I hate paying for something. You spend
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: all this money, then you feel like get nikeled and dimed.
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: You know, Yeah, yeah, it's.
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: How I feel. It's just how I feel. It's like
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: it's like chartering a flight and then they go, hey,
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: do you want to get food on there? I go,
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: absolutely not. I got to draw the line somewhere. They're
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: gonna charge you two hundred bucks to put those sandwiches
- 1:09:37Speaker 5: on the plane. I'm not gonna eat them all, but
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: I will pay X amount for the ride up there.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: There is nothing better than private aviation. Nothing beats it.
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: I've said this speaking up to get into it.
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: Ultimate bro move, Ultimate bro move by you, because I
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: had to go fly back to Nashville from Green Bay
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: and for you to even send that text, hey, I
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: got room if you want to jump on this plane.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: And I was trying to figure out any way to
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: get on that plane for it. But once I real
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: lized it was gonna you'll be waiting for me. Just
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: just you reaching out. That was huge. That's that's big. Anyway,
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: that's onward.
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: Well, well, I knew you had to stay though, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: I had to go to Yeah, we had to get
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: the Lincoln the next morning.
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: But private aviation, Hey, let's uh, this is this is
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: Super Bowl Champion. That's how I talked to the beer
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: in the room. Should be free.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, the aviation thing.
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: Do you know it's called Nickel. I forgot Nickel actually
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: might actually think it's me. Oh man, yeah.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: The private Yeah, the private aviation. We can pull off
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: some trips like we did with Nebraska and Michigan.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: Would you would you Okay, let's say you win the lottery.
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: Would you rather have a yacht or a plane in
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: the world with that? Yeah?
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: The plain thing is that people will talk all the time,
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: but when have you made it?
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: What you listen, there's some people like that, like shot
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: Con or whatever down in Jacksonville, you know, who have
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: these these yachts that look remarkable, but you can only
- 1:11:04Speaker 5: get so far right, you know what I mean. It's
- 1:11:05Speaker 5: like with a plane, dude, I don't know if it's
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: called window. I watch YouTube videos on like the latest
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: Gulf streams, like the G seven hundred or the G
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: eight hundred, and I'm like, when I win the lottery, right,
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: we're getting.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: This is yours only ninety eight million dollars, Like, w
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: how do I make ninety eight million to just fit
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: on this fucking plane? How do I do that? Because
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: it is the best man. The first time I ever
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: flew private, I was with Gay Bikert and his wife
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: and their family. Both sides like one side the family
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: start American Fidelity Insurance, the other side of the family
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: started Loves Gas Stations. So both families very well off.
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: I fly to La Commercial and then like, hey, we're
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: gonna fly from LA to Maui. And I get on
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: this plane and it is as big as this fucking warehouse.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: The bathroom was as big as this bus. And I thought,
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: this is the most incredible thing ever fly to a
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: private airport Maui.
- 1:11:52Speaker 5: Or private fbo.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: God, I'm hammered. I was hammered. I threw up in
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: the bathroom. We go look it up at the stars.
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: I don't even know what's going on.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Wake up in the morning.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: There's like this giant I'm in this giant house and
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: it's like in this bay during grey whale meeting season,
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: and they're like splashing in the air as I'm sipping
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: on a coffee nursing a hangover, and I thought, this
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: is this is.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: This is the life, and this is the content your
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: fans are gonna love to Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: And then I flew back on Southwest and still to
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: this day, Yeah, that ship is wild. But yeah, you
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: can't beat that man, can't beat aviation.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: What else do we got, boys?
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: We got a beaufree shout out. Oh, shut out, shout out,
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: boufree shout out. Oh yeah, oh first yeah, if I
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: have it, I let's see here, Let's see here, let's
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: see here. Okay, well it's final, Okay, shut out. Boufree

- 1:13:01Speaker 4: legendary sweet tea, and amazing fixes fixes. Bo Jingle's Breakfast

- 1:13:09Speaker 4: iconic Cajun file A, bo Jingle Supremes are always a
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: good choice, especially when paired with the sauce like homemade

- 1:13:26Speaker 4: I'll go first to my shout no free shot out.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: My shoutout, no free shotout, shout out bow free shoutout
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: goes to this winning a bet against your boys and
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: having it last a long time. And unfortunately I was
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: on the receiving end of losing this bet. But Bert
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: Kreischer at the super Bowl in February able to bench
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: a three hundred and twenty pounds and then again three
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: hundred and twenty five pounds, where he has conned us
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: into promoting his show, his tour, his everything on this
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: on this bus with the boys program for an entire
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: year is a great bet to win. I wish so
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: badly that that Burt torres peck and just completely failed
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: on that bench fest. Unfortunately he did not. So with
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: that being said, his new special is out. Unlucky. Yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: tour dates? What else you got going on? What does
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: Burt gott Well, let me get those tour dates, requ.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Will it's getting pulled up. One of my friends in
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Greenville sold a house to a massive Burt Kreischer fan
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: who went on Burt and Tom's cruise, and so I
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: promised him I shout him out. His name is Tony.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: He just moved to South Carolina.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Bought Tony.
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: Shout out Tony. All right, So Burt Crusher's tour is
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: July eighteenth, Winnipeg August ninth, Halifax August twenty third, Spokane, Washington,
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: August twenty fourth, Calgary shut out, Burt Kreusher. You're the man, dude,
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: you beat us.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: How's that biscuit phenomenal? Yeah, you guys want a little
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: because people can get a free little Cajun biscuit, right.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: Yeah, ended up free Cajun biscuit Partici participating partners using
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: code busting.
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that is it. So when you get that Cajun
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: free biscuit, here's my low Cajun free biscuit hack, Ken,
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: I've already talked about it, but it is put honey.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: It is drizzling honey on your Cajun fil a on
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: your Cajun file a biscuit. That's my hack. My shoutout,
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: boufree shout out. This week is going to go to
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: snot suckers.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: For your kids.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Yeah, for the kids, Scottie. We at first he's very
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: congested and using those little bulls that kind of suck
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: it out. They kind of just don't kind of just
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: don't do it. And you just feel like you're torching
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: them the entire time. But hopped on Amazon, got a
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: little snotsucker to where you kind of set it by
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: your nose and you you like suck it up out
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: of there. Yeah, and it's it works wonders. So if
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: you're out there in the parenting game and you're using
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: that little ball and you get a little frustrated with it,
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: just pop on Amazon get yourself a little snot sucker.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: It does wonders wonderful. Yeah, wonder that's my shotou boufree
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: shot out.
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: I love that. Well, speaking of hacks, anytime I get
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: my cage and file a biscuit, I do think more
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: protein the better, So I like to throw the leg
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: on there, a little cheese with my sandwich.
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: Eat a sandwich.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm meeting it.
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: Cajun Fla, got.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: The egg on there.
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: It looks fantastic.
- 1:15:56Speaker 5: Buddy.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: You guys got shoutouts, all right.
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: My shout out boufree shout out goes to uh when
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: you go to a concert like the light show that
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: they put on Garrett g or g Jack and I
- 1:16:13Speaker 8: we went to Rufus Dessoul last Tuesday and the light
- 1:16:17Speaker 8: show that they had going on, Like I I caught
- 1:16:20Speaker 8: myself watching the lights more than I was like enjoying
- 1:16:23Speaker 8: the music, and like they had like this smoke go
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: off and then like these lasers go through it and
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: it looked like the sky was like you could like
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: touch it, Like it was one of those things where
- 1:16:33Speaker 8: you like, I should be on drugs right now. I
- 1:16:35Speaker 8: was completely sober, and I was like this would be
- 1:16:38Speaker 8: this is so awesome.
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: But then also, don't have one drink.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: No, No, he's trying to do his craft, I guess,
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: So I guess he is committed to his craft.
- 1:16:47Speaker 8: But then also like another side shout out when you
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: see your friends enjoying stuff like I me and like
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: our crews were right near each other, and G was
- 1:16:55Speaker 8: standing right in front of me the entire time, and
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: G was just vibing the entire time, like he's having
- 1:16:59Speaker 8: the best time his life right now. And it was
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: like I was happy seeing him happy, just like enjoying
- 1:17:04Speaker 8: you just like grooving. And G can dance too, so.
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: He was, oh shit, okay, gee, he was doing his thing.
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: Let's fucking go.
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: There's not like.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: That's just a fls a flow. Yeah, it's just rhythm.
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: Uh shout out Bope.
- 1:17:24Speaker 7: Shout out to staying on property at a travel wedding
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: as a single man, like you typically get in these
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: flows where you get an airbnb outside of said property
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: for a venue because it's cheaper or it's whatever. In
- 1:17:37Speaker 7: the last few weddings that I've been traveling for, I've
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: been saying on property and the convenience factor is amazing,
- 1:17:43Speaker 7: and on top of it, it's usually a beautiful location
- 1:17:45Speaker 7: to go celebrate love and you with your friends. Our
- 1:17:48Speaker 7: friends were in Miramar Beach and Destin where I was
- 1:17:50Speaker 7: just at this weekend. We were staying closer towards like
- 1:17:54Speaker 7: the Alabama state line side, but we were in this
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: like twenty story hotel. We're on the night floor, had
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: this beautiful view of the bay. Every time I've been
- 1:18:03Speaker 7: in Destin, I'm very much used to being on the beach,
- 1:18:06Speaker 7: so it was a different destined experience for me. But
- 1:18:09Speaker 7: we have this beautiful view, a beautiful room, tons of
- 1:18:12Speaker 7: good places to eat and hang out and drink around us.
- 1:18:15Speaker 7: But yeah, when when a wedding party wants you to
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: stay where the wedding is happening, it's usually for the
- 1:18:21Speaker 7: right reason. And so I think I'm just growing up,
- 1:18:24Speaker 7: and I'm about to just stay on property every time
- 1:18:26Speaker 7: I go to a wedding nice because they take care
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: of you. And the wedding was six floors below where
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: we were staying, and all of our friends had to
- 1:18:33Speaker 7: drive twenty minutes and I was staying with three single guys.
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: And it's like, hey, singles are kind of up right now.
- 1:18:40Speaker 7: But yeah, shout out to staying on property. Shout out,
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: bow free, shout out. Also, are we supposed to be
- 1:18:45Speaker 7: doing something with our Cajun flay hack?
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: You can have a Cajun f a hack.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: Yeah it was said earlier because I don't know.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: You can't.
- 1:18:52Speaker 7: You don't want to go too outside the box on
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: a Cajun flay hack. But if you throw honey on
- 1:18:56Speaker 7: a Cajun ful a biscuit, especially a hot agent fl
- 1:19:00Speaker 7: a biscuit, the sweetness of the honey paired with the
- 1:19:03Speaker 7: heat level of the chicken.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Is a really good combination.
- 1:19:07Speaker 7: So I wouldn't necessarily call it a hack because it's
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: been done. But we don't need to reinvent the wheel either, Like,
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: let's just stick to what we know. So shout out, yeah,
- 1:19:16Speaker 7: a little honey, it's been done.
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: Yeah more than once on this bus.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: Jameson the wheel, Nope, I know my bow free shoutout
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: hack would be I love honey mustard with my Cajun
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: file a biscuit, and another shout out to Bojangles just
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: because for me, Bojanles I think immediately related to college
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: football because South Carolina there's a Bojngles right next to
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the stadium, and every single game day morning go to Bojangles,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: get Cajun file, a biscuit, combo the bow rounds dunklem
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: in some honey mustard, and it's just college football is
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: the best time of the year and Bojangles makes me
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: think of it. Love that Cox and shout out Spencer Rattler.
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: He's been Orleans in it's his time.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: Yeah man.
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: Also shout out beaufree Shadow Vegas. This weekend, Jackie hitting
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: the cards hard. We're gonna see what happens. Hit the
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: little apexel ufc aft, hit the sphere. I think the
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: kids would love to see that.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: I would.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll tell you what. I'll get you a single ticket.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: I will and I know you will well.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: I know that one man.
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: I swear all right, fair enough, I pulled you like enough.
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: You're going, baby, that's it Vegas. Yeah, anybody else, but
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: I'm not. Here's why you can go.
- 1:20:35Speaker 5: For the first half, first song.
- 1:20:38Speaker 4: Saturday night, I will be playing cards and then as
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: soon as I'm done playing cars, will be going to
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: sleep because we have a five am flight. And then
- 1:20:44Speaker 4: the next Monday, Tuesday, we got a big couple of
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: days here, not gonna say what. We had a big
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: couple of days that I need to be I need
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: to be ready and heady for ye.
- 1:20:56Speaker 5: I'll tell you after the show. But I see it.
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that is big. Yeah, yeah, that Monday on Tuesdays.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: Yes, yes, So I want to be available. I want

- 1:22:46Speaker 2: com slash bussing shout out True Classic AJP. You think
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: it's gonna be a big year for w Retler.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, I mean last year you look at their roster.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Obviously there was a whole issue with their head coach,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: the coaching staff. The roster was not a good roster.
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: He did break Archie Manning's record rookie record passing yards
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: of the season, but no, I think it's uh Kellen
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Moore's down there. I think they'll be a great, a
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: great duo. And I believe, of course, I believe in
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: Spencer Rally because he's a game cock. But I just
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: think he is. I mean, he's so talented. He was
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: highly talented as a young kid. He played well in college,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: and I think if you can just have a decent roster,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: he's gonna be good.
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know how the Saints will do it.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: Feels like they just need to reset the entire thing.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, because who's the who's their draft pick? Tyler
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Tyler should right shuck right, yeah, shuck well, and they
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: have Jake Hayner as the as also in the room.
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like I feel like they're divisions all
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: Tampa this year, all Tampa.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: But hopefully he takes a step where the like this
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: is our guy for the future. He just can play
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: for ten fifteen years. I know other quarterbacks should Sanders?
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: What sure? What are you saying? The Cleveland Browns bringing
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: up a bunch of stats up the entire world.
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: The trolling by the Cleveland fan base.
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: Cleveland fan base is getting weird because they were going
- 1:24:11Speaker 4: after Mason Graham too, showing him in some drills like
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: there's no way this is the fifth overall pack.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: So they're trolling by talking about he has these record
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: breaking numbers for a rookie mini camp. And now it's
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: obviously working everybody up because Sanders has been such a
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: talk since the whole draft. But you gotta respectus yards.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: I love this one because it's very obviously a forty
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: yard pass.
- 1:24:36Speaker 5: It's just I read that last night and I'm like,
- 1:24:38Speaker 5: this guy's not eighty one. Like I'm now putting it together,
- 1:24:44Speaker 5: like I'm.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: Not gonna lie watch that video several times it's back. Yeah,
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it's a troll because that's insane.
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: And I'm like, wait, Baker, this pass I was. I'm
- 1:24:54Speaker 5: literally like racking my brain because I'm like, it was
- 1:24:58Speaker 5: a nice pass. I hope he does well.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: That is gonna be That's gonna be news forever.
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: Oh bro, this.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: Media coverage for that quarterback room throughout training camp is
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: going to be insane.
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: Were you surprised that he went in the fifth round?
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: I was. I think from a talent standpoint, he obviously
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: is greater than rounder. I don't know, I don't know
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: how you know what happened in the meeting room. He'll
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: prepare whatever it may be. But yes, I was, to
- 1:25:30Speaker 5: answer your question, definitely surprised. I'm not you know, I'm
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: not one of those guys talking about collusion or anything
- 1:25:35Speaker 5: like that. But I hope he does well. I've like
- 1:25:38Speaker 5: I I've watched more Colorado Ball than I have like
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: any like, you know, being a former USC trojan, like,
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: I watched them, and I watched Colorado because they were
- 1:25:46Speaker 5: like must see TV. I want to see what Dion
- 1:25:49Speaker 5: was doing, Chador Travis, and so, you know, I hope
- 1:25:55Speaker 5: he does well. I hope he does well.
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: Yeah. I feel like he's put in the best position
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: to do well now because he's learned early in his
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: career how not to handle things. If some of these
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: things are true, like the way he was handing himself
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: in the meeting room, they just the photo that Trimmers
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: had up with him, the sideway, the hat backwards and
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: sideways while you're at the combine doing press like there's
- 1:26:15Speaker 4: if you're a NFL quarterback, there's only thirty thirty two
- 1:26:17Speaker 4: of you that start. Like there's a way you handle yourself,
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: the way you operate everything, and if you're a billion
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: dollar corporation, you want to put your hands, you know,
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: you want to put everything on this guy. It's like
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: you want him to represent your team in a certain way.
- 1:26:28Speaker 4: So I hope he crushes.
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: I'm kind of mixed because Dylan was a Dylan Gabriel right,
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: like the Oregon cat he just being around him for
- 1:26:37Speaker 4: the short amount of time I was for the Oregon
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: housetake game, he was. He's a dude that seems like
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: he's got a good head on the shoulders, works super hard.
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: Dan Lanny had a lot of good things to say
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: about him. So I hope they're both successful. I don't
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: know how that happens, but it'll be interesting to say
- 1:26:50Speaker 4: the least, see how that all goes down.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: Joe Flacco.
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: You think they're both on the roster week one?
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah, over both?
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: And who was and who was the other buddy.
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: Kind Deshaun Watson woll Deshaun Watson is not going anywhere,
- 1:27:04Speaker 4: Kenny pay So Watson will be on I R.
- 1:27:06Speaker 5: And then you got to get rid of either one.
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: But you just don't give up on rookies like that, especially.
- 1:27:12Speaker 4: I think if they showed enough promise you, you might
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: get rid of Joe.
- 1:27:16Speaker 5: And he's not I know, but you need Joe to
- 1:27:21Speaker 5: be the the you know, to be in that locker room,
- 1:27:24Speaker 5: the quarterback room, to show these guys how to be
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: a professional.
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: I don't disagree with you, because you take Joe out
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: of that, out of that locker room, it'll definitely gets weird.
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: It'll be Dylan Gabriel should pick it that get cut,
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: like Joe is gonna be on.
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: The it would would probably be Pickett.
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: If you have to have both those young quarterbacks showing up.
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: But you're looking at You're looking at five quarterbacks here,
- 1:27:44Speaker 4: really it's four like Deshaun Watson, like that's he's gonna
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: be on I R and there. I feel like even
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: with the Browns with the money there, yeah he's gonna
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: be on the roster, but he's not really in the room.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: And Mitch, to your point, like fifth round, you're a
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: draft pick, but yeah, you will probably.
- 1:28:00Speaker 5: Be on the roster because he was a third round Yeah,
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: third round they went and got him at third round. Yeah,
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: you know.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:28:06Speaker 8: My thing is, though, why would you waste a draft
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: picked on him them? I feel like you're like your
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: draft picks should not should stay on the roster unless
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: they have like a poor preseason. But like, if you
- 1:28:15Speaker 8: cut a draft pick, you just wasted a pick. That
- 1:28:20Speaker 8: can happen though I know, but like that just seems
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: like in my head, that just seems like dumb for
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: a franchise to waste a fifth, sixth, seventh round.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: They're probably not going into it thinking they're gonna cut him, like.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: They it's a waste too. Obviously they were happy with
- 1:28:34Speaker 5: their third round pick and Gabriel, but you know, now
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: you have somebody who for whatever reason, has fallen to
- 1:28:39Speaker 5: the fifth You're like all right, let's let's take a chance.
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: Let's see, let's see if he can but he can
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: do if pick it exceeds their expectations, that's where it's
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: like you you got to picket Dylan Gabriel, Joe Flacco,
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: and maybe you try and get Schaduro on the practice squad.
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: If that's how we're to play out. Like again, it's
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: like they're all gonna they're all gonna be in a
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: spot to where they can win a job.
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: Did you imagine Shader gets cut the frends, the media
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: friends that will have and or if he's a practice
- 1:29:00Speaker 8: squad guy, I don't think.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: What it's going to be a media frenzy no matter what,
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: matter what.
- 1:29:04Speaker 8: I don't think they'll allow him to get cut just
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: because of who he is. And like I know the
- 1:29:10Speaker 8: NFL doesn't really care about that, but like I.
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: Just bro, they won't operate like that.
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: They won't. I think if you see, if you see Pickett,
- 1:29:20Speaker 4: Shouldure and Dylan all show promised to we're like, okay,
- 1:29:23Speaker 4: one of these guys could be our quarterback a long term.
- 1:29:26Speaker 4: There's a world you get rid of Flacco because you
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: have all of Campbell Flacco. They learn from Flacco then,
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: but like he's a short term answer and these are
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: some long term guys. So as a franchise, you want
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: to invest in the long term options. I mean, it
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: sucks for Flacco because he is a dog still.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: But to Clay's point, it's like you have somebody in
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: there who would be a pro and teach them how
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: to be a pro, like I think Jobion the roster
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: no matter what Hey.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: Show, can you look up how many years Flako has been.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: In the league.
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: He came in two thousand and eight, I believe right.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: Also, it looks like Adam Scheffner ten minutes ago, Trey
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Hendrickson says, Bang have cut off contract talks.
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: Bro Hey, just real quick, Why does it always seem
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: like the Bengals, going back to Andre Smith maybe even
- 1:30:07Speaker 5: before then, always seem to have an issue signing their players.
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: Now there's a kid, a first round pick to the Bengals,
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: sitting at a rookie camp. Who's sitting at a rookie camp,
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: and listen, he has all the he has every right
- 1:30:16Speaker 5: to do it, but it's because his let's just say,
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: guaranteed money, whatever it may be that they're fighting over,
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: is less than the twenty twenty four pick at the
- 1:30:23Speaker 5: same slot at twenty fourth pick, Like, why is it
- 1:30:25Speaker 5: always an issue?
- 1:30:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: I mean, well, listen, I mean that's but I'm talking
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: like this has been this has been going on for
- 1:30:34Speaker 5: some time now. Whether I remember, like when two thousand
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: and nine was a Andre Smith from Alabama, you know,
- 1:30:39Speaker 5: like Darius Hey where he was slotted somewhere. I don't
- 1:30:41Speaker 5: know if he was asking for too much. I'd have
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: to educate myself a little bit more if he was
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: asking for what was appropriate. But now Hendrickson making Jamar
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: chase and then make him wait another it just seems
- 1:30:50Speaker 5: like there's always.
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: They've always kind of messed around with their players.
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it seems like I don't know if I'm putting
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: words where they shouldn't be, But I don't think they're
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: like a cash heavy franchise, Like they're a cash poor franchise.
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: So they have to like manipulate and handle these things.
- 1:31:03Speaker 4: And they've kind of run into a good problem to
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: have where they have all these great players and they've
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: got to pay him relatively. On the same time, the
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: Trey Hendrickson thing, didn't he get paid already?
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: He's gotten way. I feel like that's always been kind
- 1:31:14Speaker 2: of a drama, that's always been kind of a beef
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: between them because he's always he's always wanted to kind
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: of extend this contract. They've always kind of been in talks,
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: out of talks, saying stuff in the media.
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: The Bangles put themselves in a bad position waiting this
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: long because you had Miles Garrett, Max Crosby, all these
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: other guys, I mean Vianna's team, Jamar Chase, like Max
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: Croffy was the highest paid non quarterback guy in NFL history,
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: and a week later he was like the fifth highest.
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: So the market's gone crazy. Now Trey Henderson is probably thinking, well,
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: I'm up there with Max and Miles. I want to
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: beat them. And so it's probably.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: Probably as they paid Jamar Chase, they paid t Higgins.
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Uh did they? Are they franchise?
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: No? I'm pretty sure they just like the highest paid
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: number two receiver in the league. Yeah, but they've tried
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: taking care of their guys on offense, and it's come
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: time for Tray. It's just like, you know, how the
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: business kind of gets in the way or priorities wherever
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: they're at. Because like Trey probably could command somewhere close
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: to you know, those guys that are getting paid at
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: the top, obviously their agent. The market's kind of working
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: in that favor. But the Bengals might be Stratford cash.
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: The rookie sitting, the rookie sitting out of rookie mini camp.
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: Though I don't understand, because my understanding of the new
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: CBA is every pick is slotted right with a five
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: percent increase every single year. So there is nothing that
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: you're you're negotiating over, like minor details, smaller things like
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: the price kind of is what the price is. So
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: I just got to sit out, Like, I don't know.
- 1:32:34Speaker 4: You you were the old CB when you got drafted,
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: but you went to rookie MINTI camp without being signed.
- 1:32:38Speaker 5: I yes, that's correct. Yeah, I mean you have the
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: right to so I like, I don't know. I think
- 1:32:46Speaker 5: it depends on the situation. So I don't know what
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: they're fighting over. I think I had something to do
- 1:32:50Speaker 5: with guarant you know, some type of guarantee in there.
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: But I definitely think as a rookie you want to
- 1:32:54Speaker 5: put your best foot forward. But at the same token,
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: that's I mean, you just got to stand up for
- 1:32:59Speaker 5: you the.
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: Agent the advice there don't don't don't you don't risk
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: injury when there's no.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but you but you are like it's already there,
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: Like I agree, I'm understanding your first round picks still,
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: Like when I got drafted, it was like, ty, this
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: is how much you're.
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: Going to make.
- 1:33:14Speaker 4: It's guaranteed. It can't go away unless like I, you know,
- 1:33:17Speaker 4: you get a d U Y or something like that,
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: like something crazy has like if you get injured, you're good.
- 1:33:22Speaker 4: Through the four years I did, I didn't sign till
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: two days before camp started, and that was the only
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: time my agent was like, hey, you might have to
- 1:33:29Speaker 4: like not go in for the first day and just
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: and then come in the next day. But I got it,
- 1:33:33Speaker 4: got done. But I did rookie minicamp, but I did
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: OTAs I had like twelve dollars in my bank account.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: I'm thinking to myself, I can't wait for this fucking
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: phone number.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: It's gonna look different.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Remember Sean Merriman, he said he held out of camp
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: and then his rookie year. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. And
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: then he showed up like that's right, day one practice
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: and went nuts and.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what he talks about going after Lorenzo Neil.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, but it doesn't make.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: A whole lot of sense because they they're that's like
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: a fragile. It's such a unique franchise because Burrow is
- 1:34:04Speaker 4: so good and their team is like super Bowl caliber,
- 1:34:08Speaker 4: but there's always something up, like they're always losing the
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: games they shouldn't lose. They're always fighting to get in
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: the playoffs the end. Not always like this happened last year.
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: But they are just a team that, like it.
- 1:34:17Speaker 5: Seems like some bullshits around them that they don't need Carson,
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: you know, when Carson was there and demanding a trade.
- 1:34:23Speaker 5: You just always think there's yeah, it's like a franchise. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:34:27Speaker 5: the franchise, you know, with just a little instability. So yeah, yeah.
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: Well Joe too. It's like you've got the tools, like
- 1:34:35Speaker 4: you guys are a team in the AFC are it's good.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: The kids shows up to every single day and he's
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: in the jersey. He just doesn't do the actual drill,
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: but he's like there on the field.
- 1:34:46Speaker 5: Yeah, that's his agent rights do everything you can figure.
- 1:34:51Speaker 5: It feels like the end of the world when you're
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: not going through it. But once he starts, if he
- 1:34:54Speaker 5: starts making plays, it's you know, right, But I would
- 1:34:57Speaker 5: like as an like as a former player, I'd be like,
- 1:35:00Speaker 5: I want to be out there all right, the boys.
- 1:35:02Speaker 5: I want to give off a good impression first impression.
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: You never held out?
- 1:35:06Speaker 5: No, but my contract got signed, I think my rookie one,
- 1:35:10Speaker 5: like right before the first day. Hey, you might have
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: to hold out the first day. Got signed in my
- 1:35:13Speaker 5: second one five year deal. I played four years and
- 1:35:19Speaker 5: we just pretty much to them, we're not showing up
- 1:35:21Speaker 5: until we get a new contract. Obviously nicer than that,
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: and they was, they were that's what was going to happen.
- 1:35:27Speaker 5: So we got signed in the off season at some point.
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: That was it.
- 1:35:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it was easy.
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: I mean there was no like it was going to happen.
- 1:35:34Speaker 5: I was playing well. I deserved it. I was you know,
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: it was it was gonna happen.
- 1:35:38Speaker 4: Yeah, so you you you had full faith in that. Yes,
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: I had to hold out for a mandatory mini camp
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: and I was stressed out about it. Yeah, I was
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: so stressed because they were kind of starting the negotiations
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: going on. They sent off. They picked up my fifth
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: year and so I played my fourth year. So going
- 1:35:52Speaker 4: into my I believe going into my fifth year, they
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: started the negotiations, but like the season ended, and obviously
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: it's like all you're thinking about. It's like the second contract.
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: You're like, bro, I've done it, Hayes in the Barn,
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: I've done X, Y and Z, like I know what
- 1:36:04Speaker 4: I'm kind of worth it. You're excited about it. And
- 1:36:07Speaker 4: then February nothing, March nothing, April you show up for
- 1:36:10Speaker 4: OTAs and you're like, all right, I mean, let's see
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: what happens. You kind of try to be in the
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: best shape possible, like yell tan On, You're in the
- 1:36:16Speaker 4: gym a little extra long a couple of days leading up,
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: and then they send like some offer that's like bullshit,
- 1:36:21Speaker 4: like it's still it was still a good like it's money,
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: but you're also thinking, like you know what you're worth
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: and I knew what I was like supposed to beginning.
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: And then like John Robinson's like, you know, we just
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: sent you a big offer blah blah blah.
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: I'm like, oh shit, for real.
- 1:36:32Speaker 4: So I called my agent. They're like this is a
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: terrible offer, this is awful blah blah blah. So we
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: kind of go through it back and forth a little bit,
- 1:36:39Speaker 4: and then Tom Conning, my agent's like, hey, maybe you
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: should think about not going to mandatory mini camp, and
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: I was like stressed about it, and so I ended up.
- 1:36:47Speaker 4: It was that was Rave's first year, but Raves like
- 1:36:51Speaker 4: he came up to me during OTA's and he's like, Hey,
- 1:36:54Speaker 4: I know that you guys are negotiations. I want you
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: to know that I'm not touching any of that. Like
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: you want talk about football, we talk aout football. He
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: went up to me about contract. You go talk to
- 1:37:01Speaker 4: John about that. Like Ravee cut it down the middle
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: really quick to where he was totally not about it,
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: which I actually appreciated. But this is like eighteen rapes.
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: So yeah, I held out for that mandatory mini camp
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: and I made that mistake of going on one to
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: four to five the zone that first day and just
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: kind of listening, they're like this guy blah blah blah.
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: I'm thinking, Ah, did I fuck up? Should I not
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: have done that? And then like literally it was kind
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: of the same thing as my rookie. My rookie deal
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: is John Robinson goes, He's not going to be here.
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: We're not ghost negotiating with guys that aren't here, so
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: they cut it off. So all of June and then
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: half of July, like I think it was like July
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: like fifteenth until camp's in like a week. They called
- 1:37:39Speaker 4: and then they got that they got it done, Like
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: I think you're doing like minor detail stuff. So like
- 1:37:43Speaker 4: this kid who's like sitting out my first day of camp,
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: I was like, hey, just to protect myself, I'll be here,
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: but I'm not gonna do I'll do drills. I'm not
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: gonna do any team stuff because that the last thing
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: I want to do is get hurt. I was like
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: very transparent, like if I get hurt, like you guys understand,
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: and John was like, yeah, we totally get it. So
- 1:37:58Speaker 4: I kind of just like chilled that day, which was
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: so nice, so nice that first day camp dudes are
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: just dying. I'm like, you could be right to get
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: a sip of water. And then I got done the
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: next day. But it's so uncomfortable to say, yeah it is.
- 1:38:09Speaker 4: You feel like you're just letting everybody down.
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: Oh they're taking advantage, you know, because you've never been
- 1:38:12Speaker 5: in a business negotiation before, so you have no idea
- 1:38:15Speaker 5: and you feel like everybody's looking at you, especially as
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: a high draft pick. You're like, I need to be
- 1:38:19Speaker 5: out there. I need to show my worth and what
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: you got, you got to do it's best for you, though. Yeah,
- 1:38:23Speaker 5: it's hard at that age though, at you know, twenty two.
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it's interesting though because the nil like everyone's got agents.
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: They've all had agents for three four years now, so
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: they kind of like understand the business a little bit
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: more now.
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, but until you go through the experience,
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: you don't have any experience.
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: Yeah, so you can.
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: Sit there and talk about with your agent, but once
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: the chaos and the posturing and everything else starts, is
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: still brand new to you. And everybody's living in their
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: own world. It's like you're in your own movie. So
- 1:38:46Speaker 2: the panic and anxiety or how are they seeing me?
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: How are my teammates seeing me? How the coaching staff
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: seeing me? By doing this, because I'm listening to my agent,
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: I feel like I'm second guessing my agent a little bit. Yeah,
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: because I want to I want to be out there
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: with the boys. So you're kind of pressing him, he's
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: pressing back. It's like you don't know until you actually
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: go through.
- 1:39:01Speaker 4: That's the thing you brought up at the beginning too,
- 1:39:03Speaker 4: of like you're in your own story, like no one
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: actually gives a fuck what you're doing. Everyone's so focused
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: on their own OTAs their next contract, they're making the team,
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: and they're like, hey, Will's holding out. It's like, oh,
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: for real, I hope he gets his money. And then
- 1:39:15Speaker 4: they go back to whatever the fuck they're doing. But
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: you're just playing this game in your head of like
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: oh fuck, yeah, dude, did you uh with the draft
- 1:39:22Speaker 4: this year? Did you feel any type of way with
- 1:39:24Speaker 4: the Packers taking a receiver for the first time in
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: like twenty two years?
- 1:39:26Speaker 5: It that never really affected me in the simple sense
- 1:39:29Speaker 5: that like we were always so close. Although see they
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: hit on a bunch of second rounders, Randall Cobb, DeVante Adams,
- 1:39:37Speaker 5: Jordy Nelson. I mean all those guys went on to
- 1:39:41Speaker 5: Will and are currently in like the Packers Hall of Fame,
- 1:39:44Speaker 5: like they're they hit on those, but they they haven't.
- 1:39:47Speaker 5: We were so close for so long, and then even
- 1:39:49Speaker 5: after when I my last year was eighteen, they I
- 1:39:51Speaker 5: think nineteen twenty had two of those NFC championship games
- 1:39:53Speaker 5: and you're sitting there going off we had just you know,
- 1:39:56Speaker 5: one more wide receiver one or wide receiver two to Davante,
- 1:40:01Speaker 5: But no, to me, it meant nothing. But I think
- 1:40:02Speaker 5: it was the perfect pick for the crowd for that energy.
- 1:40:05Speaker 5: For like to it was electric the way the draft.
- 1:40:10Speaker 5: I mean, I just assumed you'd have equal parts fan
- 1:40:13Speaker 5: base of all you know, thirty two franchise, but it
- 1:40:15Speaker 5: was like ninety five percent Packers fans.
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: It was a celebration for Green Bay.
- 1:40:20Speaker 5: It was unbelievable. You think, like on a game, then
- 1:40:22Speaker 5: there's seventy seven thousand fans, two hundred thousand on like
- 1:40:24Speaker 5: day one. I mean, it was. It was awesome. It
- 1:40:26Speaker 5: was electric, and so I tried to tell everyone lost
- 1:40:28Speaker 5: my voice. I'm like, it was it was fun. We
- 1:40:30Speaker 5: had a good time.
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: I can't believe how they were able to get everybody
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: in there because it seemed like it was easy for
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: everyone to move around. But it's just crazy how it's
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: a small town and it was just big historic stadium
- 1:40:39Speaker 4: just sitting there.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: It was.
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: It was awesome to see.
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: We got to before we wrap up. The NFL schedules
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: do release on May fourteenth, and fan Duel has NFL
- 1:40:48Speaker 2: futures which can be parlayed. Do you have any early
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: predictions for future parlays.
- 1:40:56Speaker 5: On what only?
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: Yeah, like on the season, the schedule has not came
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: out yet, it comes out.
- 1:41:02Speaker 5: Well, we we know the season opener, right, Dallas and
- 1:41:05Speaker 5: the Eagles, or we could we could we could bet
- 1:41:07Speaker 5: the money line on that or.
- 1:41:09Speaker 4: Well, I'm thinking, like, what do you think wins that game?
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: I think Commanders take the NFC East.
- 1:41:16Speaker 5: I think Philadelphia is still the big dog there.
- 1:41:19Speaker 4: What about the.
- 1:41:22Speaker 5: Man? They still got their saint. No, did they lose
- 1:41:25Speaker 5: a couple of the D linemen right, I think in
- 1:41:27Speaker 5: free agency and they lost they lost.
- 1:41:30Speaker 2: I mean but there were some young Yeah, they got
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: some they got some young. Yeah, they're just Philly. When
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: they draft, they're just reloaded.
- 1:41:37Speaker 5: When you think of how they wont I mean, Jalen
- 1:41:38Speaker 5: Hurts played smart, Say Kwon did his thing. They had
- 1:41:41Speaker 5: arguably the best O line in D line. I mean,
- 1:41:44Speaker 5: you know, yeah, they're going to be the favorite going on.
- 1:41:46Speaker 5: Well that's what I think. I mean, Yeah, what's his name?
- 1:41:48Speaker 5: Jayden uh Daniels was It was fun to watch, but
- 1:41:51Speaker 5: like he had to put the team on his back.
- 1:41:53Speaker 5: I feel like with Philadelphia they're more sustained. It it's
- 1:41:57Speaker 5: a full team there, they're gonna be able to sustain
- 1:41:59Speaker 5: success provided their no you know, hangover. But I feel like,
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: you know, Hurts doesn't seem like a guy. He seems
- 1:42:04Speaker 5: like he's got his head on straight. Say you know,
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: they seem like they got to the right pieces in
- 1:42:08Speaker 5: place to do it, to go after it again.
- 1:42:10Speaker 4: It seems they feel least like ten years the Eagles
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: have had great leadership and that has been a great
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: like they've just been handling their their stuff well.
- 1:42:17Speaker 2: Everywhere they go. You got the Eagles winning the East.
- 1:42:21Speaker 2: What other team do you have taken their division?
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:42:25Speaker 5: Bills, let's talk about NFS. Okay, you have AFC Uh yeah, Bills.
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I gotta.
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: Take on the Bills.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: I think the Bill.
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: I think this is the Bill's year super Bowl. I
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: think this is finally the year they get done. This
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: is finally the year Josh Allen gets over the hump.
- 1:42:41Speaker 5: What did Who's digs with? Is he with?
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: He's with the Patriots? Which I think the Patriots. Let
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: me see there over unders on wins this year.
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: I think the Patriots can get a little spicy.
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: I think so too. Do you think they're winning the division?
- 1:42:56Speaker 5: But I think do you think they'll get better because
- 1:42:57Speaker 5: of talent acquisition or I think both.
- 1:43:01Speaker 4: Yeah, they definitely have more talent. They've spent more in
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: the in salary than they have I think since Tom
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: was there early and Rabel like he gets he has
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: the voice understand like he's a great coach. Seven and
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: a half is a lot.
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: There is their quarterback Buddy Yeah, which he played well.
- 1:43:21Speaker 4: People are talking about is.
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: Who do you think is gonna take the the NFC North.
- 1:43:30Speaker 5: I think Detroit. I'm interested to see how Buddy from
- 1:43:34Speaker 5: Michigan does for uh J J. McCarthy Minnesota. You know,
- 1:43:37Speaker 5: they've obviously got a great team of Vikings, but Detroit
- 1:43:40Speaker 5: is just they've got that it factor right now until
- 1:43:44Speaker 5: someone the yeah, until someone you know, deep rosters are
- 1:43:52Speaker 5: right there, you know, I think that'll be the best division.
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: I NFC North, in the NFC East.
- 1:44:02Speaker 5: I love watching the AFC North, though.
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: I feel like the AFC West is gonna be fun
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: this year too. With bow Nicks in the second year,
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: you got the Chargers, Harball in his second year with
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: Herbert Pete Carroll with the Raiders still they're probably like
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: you know, they'll probably have the worst are the longest
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: odds going in to win the division. But I feel
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: like between the Chiefs, Broncos, and Chargers, like, that's gonna
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: be a really fun division to watch.
- 1:44:24Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Broncos would be cool. I just I could
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: see the Chargers winning that division. You see Harball on
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: rich Eisen telling about how he's having dreams like JP
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: was having. He's had a dream. I woke up in
- 1:44:39Speaker 4: the morning. I was like, I got to get Justin
- 1:44:40Speaker 4: Herbert to the Hall of Fame. I've gotta do it.
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: He's the best man is man, He's got it, He's
- 1:44:47Speaker 4: got his guys. Yeah, let me get the Chargers on
- 1:44:49Speaker 4: that future. Let me get the Chargers taking the AFC West.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: I'm jumping on that trail.
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: And I kind of want to jump on the Broncos.
- 1:44:57Speaker 4: I kind of like the biggest question mark for me
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: is the a FC South.
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: Like, yeah, buddy, the a FC South is.
- 1:45:06Speaker 4: But it's like, yeah, Texans is your obvious choice to
- 1:45:10Speaker 4: win that division. But then Jacksonville like they're always like
- 1:45:13Speaker 4: good but not good. The Titans have like everything but
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: said out loud there in a rebuild, the Coults are
- 1:45:20Speaker 4: kind of lost as a franchise right now.
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: Texans are winning that one.
- 1:45:24Speaker 4: I think it's gonna be closer than you think. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:45:27Speaker 4: that does mean they're gonna lose.
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: Ah.
- 1:45:31Speaker 4: Fuck, that ain't andy. I can see the Titans making it.
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: It really just depends on camera.
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: Can see the Titans making it, depends on wars Is
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: stud It seems like he you know.
- 1:45:45Speaker 4: I'll tell you what. He came out with the what
- 1:45:47Speaker 4: was the Savannah Savannah bananas. There's a clip a couple
- 1:45:53Speaker 4: of months ago about him and should have Saner, should
- 1:45:55Speaker 4: have Sanders want to make a song and he goes, no,
- 1:45:57Speaker 4: I do football. That's what I do. I do football.
- 1:46:00Speaker 4: Now he's coming out with the Savannah bananas.
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: Let's keep the main thing the main thing, right, Yeah,
- 1:46:04Speaker 5: it's all the rookies.
- 1:46:07Speaker 4: I'm just saying, man, he has that viral clip that
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: goes out about him being, hey, I'm a football player.
- 1:46:12Speaker 4: When you look up Kim Warden.
- 1:46:13Speaker 7: It's all the draft class and he's the leader of
- 1:46:16Speaker 7: that class. But he's just gonna act like he's too
- 1:46:17Speaker 7: good to be with the boys.
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: Get in the film room, man, why.
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: Does it feel like you're you're going against Jack right now?
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: Like jack'sro he's.
- 1:46:24Speaker 4: Going against the city I'm not going against the city.
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: I love Nashville. I love the Titans.
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:46:34Speaker 4: It's a joke. Relax. He want to make a song.
- 1:46:38Speaker 4: He says, he doesn't do anything but football, but now
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: he's out the Savannah Bananas.
- 1:46:42Speaker 7: With his football team, weird football.
- 1:46:46Speaker 4: In his football stadium. Weird take bro weird take all
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: Boys onward.
- 1:46:51Speaker 5: But a curse.
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: What's the first name? Javon Curse? Did just video?
- 1:46:56Speaker 4: Yes, Oh my god, he's like forty something, dude. He
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: is still he stacked.
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: Stacked dude, Like I feel like Terrell Owens is always
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: the guy that gets resurfaced of how they're still jacked,
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: which I don't know if y'all saw him racing Tyreek Hill, No,
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: dude barely lost to him.
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: Is this a cat that kind of looks like Drell?
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: I'm saying like he's like yeah, it's like, okay, there's
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: Curse your percentage.
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: He is, He's got it, rookie highlights. Insane dude. He
- 1:47:33Speaker 4: is his his movement, his bend was crazy. Yeah. See
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: if you can pull that photo up, s Dvon Curse,
- 1:47:43Speaker 4: Savannah Bananas. He's on the he's on the pitching mound.
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: And after this, we'll we got to get into Cam
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: Newton and.
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, you're absolutely right.
- 1:47:58Speaker 5: What do you want to get into.
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: We'll talk about it.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: I did see a click of Clay too that I
- 1:48:03Speaker 4: sent to will Or then I said to Will and
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: I was just thought I was admiring Clay's effort but
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: kind of pulled off on a play during the super Bowl.
- 1:48:12Speaker 5: Super Bowl, we won that game. Let's get over it all, right,
- 1:48:16Speaker 5: Look at this man? Oh yeah, oh yeah, looks like
- 1:48:20Speaker 5: how old is he? Like mid forties?
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: Yeah, at least, I.
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: Mean good for him man. Yeah, from and the nickname.
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: Ah yeah, play of yours Clay. We always hear the
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: breakdown from Cam Newton on the one where he's like,
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: you're like, watch the wheel, watch the wheel roun He's like, oh,
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: you've been watching film us too, watch this.
- 1:48:43Speaker 5: Yeah, Like I like, I know people people think like
- 1:48:46Speaker 5: that should be well, yeah, people think I should be
- 1:48:49Speaker 5: upset about that. But so we always had signals in
- 1:48:53Speaker 5: the we go through a meeting and your DB's and
- 1:48:56Speaker 5: linebackers would be tipped off the signals, you know, like
- 1:49:00Speaker 5: I'm sure they'd be watching a rod we be watching Cam.
- 1:49:02Speaker 5: So one of his things was I think when he
- 1:49:04Speaker 5: went like, you know, Hulkogan flex and they run the
- 1:49:07Speaker 5: wheel route off that. So the bigger issue is how
- 1:49:11Speaker 5: is me as a pass rusher alerting the DBS and
- 1:49:15Speaker 5: linebackers about you know, route concepts. Cuse watch watch McCaffrey here, Kay,
- 1:49:19Speaker 5: he runs the angle route now without talking with without
- 1:49:23Speaker 5: talking with Cam or you know, is he running that
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: wheel route right now or does he break it off?
- 1:49:28Speaker 5: Because Olsen pins either Martinez like you can see right there,
- 1:49:33Speaker 5: they don't take it, and then three looks like he's
- 1:49:36Speaker 5: becoming the new number two. He cuts back in he's
- 1:49:38Speaker 5: white ass open like, so, yeah, it looks bad to
- 1:49:41Speaker 5: me because I study my play film. I knew the
- 1:49:43Speaker 5: route that was coming. As a pass rusher, I'm not
- 1:49:45Speaker 5: even coverage and he he makes it happen. But to me, like,
- 1:49:48Speaker 5: I'd love to have a conversation with Cam be like
- 1:49:50Speaker 5: because he you know, Cam hasn't sad anything because he
- 1:49:52Speaker 5: knew I was watching film. That's why he said, oh,
- 1:49:54Speaker 5: you've been watching film, like watch this, Like, yeah, I
- 1:49:57Speaker 5: don't know if they if they switched it up that week,
- 1:50:00Speaker 5: if he just if cmc ran an option route off it.
- 1:50:03Speaker 5: But what I'm most disappointed in is why I'm the
- 1:50:07Speaker 5: one calling it. You know what I'm saying That gets me.
- 1:50:10Speaker 5: It seems that's me fire that because I'm I'm a
- 1:50:12Speaker 5: pass rusher, right, but I'm in I'm in meeting rooms,
- 1:50:16Speaker 5: you know, being my little student of the game. Because
- 1:50:17Speaker 5: there's times when I got to be in coverage and
- 1:50:19Speaker 5: I go, oh, okay, hey, we got the we got
- 1:50:20Speaker 5: the wheel route coming. Nobody else is clued into it.
- 1:50:24Speaker 5: That's what gets me fired about the club, Like I like, yeah,
- 1:50:26Speaker 5: I Cam made a great play, Like I'll, you know,
- 1:50:28Speaker 5: let me give the guy his flowers, like we just
- 1:50:29Speaker 5: talked about at my expense. But you know what I'm saying,
- 1:50:33Speaker 5: Like everybody wants to make it a big deal, like oh,
- 1:50:35Speaker 5: I'm like, bro, I'm a pass rushing on this. And
- 1:50:37Speaker 5: in fact, I'm pissed because I went to do a
- 1:50:38Speaker 5: spin move and I saw the guard lining me up
- 1:50:40Speaker 5: and I tried to pull out of it and got,
- 1:50:42Speaker 5: you know, thrown out the club right here. Nobody's upset
- 1:50:44Speaker 5: about that, but he knew, Yeah, he knew. I was
- 1:50:46Speaker 5: watching a film. I love to chat with Cam about that.
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: I got nothing and you're on the other side of
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: the field too. So I went to it.
- 1:50:51Speaker 5: He watches I'll go, I go for a spin move
- 1:50:53Speaker 5: and I see the guard just like oh nope, and
- 1:50:55Speaker 5: then I just get thrown out.
- 1:50:56Speaker 2: Like damn, you're right too, because either way, even if
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: it was a wheel rode like that would have still been.
- 1:51:01Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying, guys. That's so I'm on the
- 1:51:03Speaker 5: side of looking at it before I know it goes
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: ro and I'm like, like, you know, it's tough to
- 1:51:09Speaker 5: be a field captain when you're you know, you're on
- 1:51:11Speaker 5: the first line of defense. That's why playing that inside
- 1:51:13Speaker 5: spot was always so much fun because you can get
- 1:51:16Speaker 5: guys move and you can talk about route concepts. I
- 1:51:18Speaker 5: was That's what I'm most disappointed in right there.
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they probably did. Honestly, they probably had such
- 1:51:23Speaker 2: a one that they probably sell.
- 1:51:25Speaker 5: But that's why I.
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: Cam.
- 1:51:28Speaker 5: I want to holler at him and be like, yeah, hey, hey,
- 1:51:30Speaker 5: on this play, Like, let me know, was that the
- 1:51:31Speaker 5: actual play? Did they did you option off it? Did
- 1:51:34Speaker 5: you know? Because I called it? You know, whatever it
- 1:51:36Speaker 5: may be, but I knew that, like, that's that's the
- 1:51:38Speaker 5: type of stuff I stud I'd rather people be like, helay,
- 1:51:40Speaker 5: how did you know that route concept?
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: Yeah, study my film tell you like, yeah, we were
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: one hundred percent. We knew we had to change.
- 1:51:46Speaker 5: Something and not that which I'd feel a little bit
- 1:51:48Speaker 5: more like all right, good, you know, like I knew it.
- 1:51:51Speaker 5: I knew it was coming.
- 1:51:54Speaker 4: Yeah, my boy, is that one of those things After
- 1:51:57Speaker 4: the game you sit in the team meeting room, you standalo, Hey, fellas,
- 1:52:00Speaker 4: we got to be we gotta be more away of We.
- 1:52:02Speaker 5: Were so young right there. I think we had like
- 1:52:04Speaker 5: a rookie at safety and you know, it's like it's
- 1:52:07Speaker 5: just I forget what year that was, like seventeen, you
- 1:52:11Speaker 5: just you know, we I think we didn't win many
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: games that year. It just it was the beginning of
- 1:52:16Speaker 5: the end, so to speak.
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: Yeah, that's tough.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: Point the bud light question. Then we ask every guest,
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: you know, how people would do anything for a bud light?
- 1:52:26Speaker 2: What would you do anything for?
- 1:52:29Speaker 5: I heard the floor safe family. I would I do
- 1:52:33Speaker 5: anything for a private jet.
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: Big turkey if your big Turkey hunter?
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: Yeah no, I do enjoy turkey. Yeah, sure, I like
- 1:52:41Speaker 5: I like, uh, dude, every time I drive past, you know,
- 1:52:44Speaker 5: on sixty five, I see those big billboards for the
- 1:52:47Speaker 5: power Ball in the mega millions. Like, man, so I
- 1:52:50Speaker 5: love to I love to think I'm a dreamer, you know.
- 1:52:53Speaker 5: So I put myself out there three hundred, four hundred
- 1:52:56Speaker 5: and five hundred million, you know, like what you would
- 1:52:59Speaker 5: do with that? And I played my My wife just like
- 1:53:00Speaker 5: laughs at me when I do this, I'm like, babe,
- 1:53:02Speaker 5: what would you what would you do? What would you
- 1:53:03Speaker 5: do if you had this much money? So yeah, I
- 1:53:06Speaker 5: guess well, I mean that doesn't sound good when you
- 1:53:10Speaker 5: say it like that. But you guys team me up.
- 1:53:12Speaker 5: When I'm coming on with questions, I'm gonna be asked too,
- 1:53:14Speaker 5: so I can have good answer.
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: We do a better job of that. We can do
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: a better job.
- 1:53:18Speaker 5: I mean, I'll give you my honest take on it.
- 1:53:19Speaker 5: But like some of the stuff like what is your
- 1:53:21Speaker 5: like what is your whatever you call it? And you're
- 1:53:25Speaker 5: fixed with your sandwiches, like you could.
- 1:53:27Speaker 4: Have done a better job, done better.
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: Du For sure, for sure we'll learning because you are
- 1:53:31Speaker 2: part of the family.
- 1:53:31Speaker 5: Hey, you know, you know what I do anything for
- 1:53:33Speaker 5: is it is a good back. Right now, is a
- 1:53:35Speaker 5: healthy back. You know, I'm thirty eight, this bad I
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: gotta I gotta go up that l seven right there
- 1:53:42Speaker 5: is just acting up a nice back, you know, a
- 1:53:45Speaker 5: younger back.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: Hey, we're gonna get it right.
- 1:53:47Speaker 5: We will some accountabilit buddy act.
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: That's good. One one surgery, the other ones doing anything.
- 1:53:51Speaker 5: But I don't want surgery. I'm just saying there. I've
- 1:53:54Speaker 5: gotten so desperate that you almost hope that they're like, oh,
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: you got something pushing on you know your nerve here?
- 1:53:58Speaker 5: You just real quick.
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: You don't want it to be in the game where
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: you have to kind of play the long game and
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: have to stay disciplined.
- 1:54:05Speaker 5: I recognize that that's it, but as I'm not ready
- 1:54:08Speaker 5: to commit to that, right, Okay, I'm not ready to
- 1:54:10Speaker 5: commit to that.
- 1:54:11Speaker 2: We'll work together.
- 1:54:12Speaker 5: Let me know how each other. Let me know when
- 1:54:14Speaker 5: you start going to four to three to two to one,
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: and then I'll buy in.
- 1:54:17Speaker 4: Okay, all right, let me ask you this, going back
- 1:54:20Speaker 4: on the power Ball, if you did win and it's
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: at five, not tell you, but what's the first purchase
- 1:54:26Speaker 4: you're buying.
- 1:54:28Speaker 5: I'd probably try and buy the land around my current property.
- 1:54:33Speaker 4: Try or just do do. Yeah, it's just fucking happened,
- 1:54:37Speaker 4: and make it happen. Yeah. Sorry, what do you want this?
- 1:54:39Speaker 5: Okay, yeah, no problem. Seems like the bestments are doing
- 1:54:42Speaker 5: really well, doing very well.
- 1:54:44Speaker 2: How much have you spent in one visit for the lottery,
- 1:54:48Speaker 2: like get in lottery?
- 1:54:49Speaker 5: One hundred dollars actually when I was in Green Bay,
- 1:54:52Speaker 5: not this last time, but I go in there. I
- 1:54:53Speaker 5: just dropped. Let me get fifty tickets. This is back
- 1:54:56Speaker 5: in Green Magasin. You know, if it gets up to
- 1:54:57Speaker 5: like a billion dollars, like that's.
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: Usually anytime you see the b did you guys?
- 1:55:00Speaker 5: He says, And then I sit there, I sit there
- 1:55:03Speaker 5: and then I get no numbers. I'm never playing this again.
- 1:55:05Speaker 5: I'm never hey, I'm never doing rehab on my back again.
- 1:55:07Speaker 5: And then I get hurt. You know, it's.
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: To win the lottery.
- 1:55:13Speaker 5: Yeah, god, that would be that's hundreds of millions.
- 1:55:18Speaker 4: Just in your pocket. Yeah, you want the lump sum
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: or you want to do it monthly, give me that
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: lump Yeah, oh it's actually six percent text.
- 1:55:25Speaker 5: Don't care. I'll take four hundred million.
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: Yeah right there. Just imagine.
- 1:55:32Speaker 5: That's what I like doing. I like imagining. I hate
- 1:55:34Speaker 5: all the people you've already been blow so all right, okay,
- 1:55:37Speaker 5: let me dream, all right, Let me dream.
- 1:55:40Speaker 4: Sorry, you were super talented and hard working. It all
- 1:55:42Speaker 4: worked out for you.
- 1:55:42Speaker 5: But let me get some luck as well. Yeah I
- 1:55:44Speaker 5: got six bucks in my pocket. Yeah, I want three tickets,
- 1:55:47Speaker 5: random numbers. I'll share it with you up front, buddy,
- 1:55:50Speaker 5: make friends with all at the quick trip out there.
- 1:55:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you do got to break off whover bought you
- 1:55:55Speaker 4: those tickets.
- 1:55:57Speaker 5: I think, well, I think they do. I think that
- 1:55:59Speaker 5: you know, who ever sells it, they get a cut
- 1:56:01Speaker 5: of it, not of yours. But like you know, the lottery,
- 1:56:03Speaker 5: I think.
- 1:56:04Speaker 4: We need to look that up. When you look that up. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: all the really nice gases just like they won, they
- 1:56:11Speaker 4: want it.
- 1:56:11Speaker 5: There's always like an incentive and then more then more
- 1:56:13Speaker 5: people will go there to buy the ticket, thinking there's
- 1:56:15Speaker 5: a lucky ticket.
- 1:56:16Speaker 4: And it's never in like a busy area. It's always
- 1:56:18Speaker 4: like some right.
- 1:56:19Speaker 5: Got to drive out in the middle of Yeah, somewhere.
- 1:56:22Speaker 4: Might be a ball for us too. We just all
- 1:56:23Speaker 4: drive out three hours some random spot and buy a
- 1:56:25Speaker 4: But like a ten thousand were the lottery tickets. Could
- 1:56:29Speaker 4: you imagine I'm buying a plane, That's the first thing
- 1:56:32Speaker 4: I'm doing.
- 1:56:33Speaker 5: I've thought about this, go ahead. I don't know if
- 1:56:35Speaker 5: i'd buy it or just would you just because think
- 1:56:37Speaker 5: about it. You know you're gonna spend seventy three million,
- 1:56:41Speaker 5: give your tab.
- 1:56:42Speaker 4: I'm gonna get one that's about five six years old.
- 1:56:44Speaker 4: Oh really Yeah, because the appreciation is crazy.
- 1:56:46Speaker 5: Yeah, more thirty forty thirty five. Well why don't you
- 1:56:49Speaker 5: just pocket that and then just have it on like
- 1:56:51Speaker 5: a golf stream, you know, whatever it is, and that
- 1:56:53Speaker 5: way you just charter it at whatever. You don't have
- 1:56:55Speaker 5: the upkeep pilots. I think there's something nice about having that,
- 1:56:58Speaker 5: But are you going to use it as much as
- 1:56:59Speaker 5: you think you are?
- 1:57:00Speaker 4: If I'm still doing that, This.
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: Is how deep I dove into this.
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but think about this. You're sitting there, we're all
- 1:57:05Speaker 4: hanging out in your backyard. You own all the land,
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: and we're talking like, man, you know what, UF she's
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: going down to Miami tonight, and it's.
- 1:57:11Speaker 5: Like, let me call my broker. No, let me call
- 1:57:14Speaker 5: my pilot.
- 1:57:14Speaker 4: My pilot, Hey, get the jet ready, the boys are
- 1:57:16Speaker 4: coming over right now. Because a broker, it's like there's
- 1:57:18Speaker 4: a bunch of back and forth or running numbers on you,
- 1:57:20Speaker 4: all this stuff. You just call the guy, Hey, someone
- 1:57:23Speaker 4: you know yes, mister Matthews. And by the way, we
- 1:57:26Speaker 4: want sandwiches and I'm not paying to hundred dollars for
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: thank you.
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:57:31Speaker 4: It's called the call pack.
- 1:57:33Speaker 5: What happens here? Will? I don't know what are you mind?
- 1:57:38Speaker 2: Oh? With the with the money?
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: Oh, I'd want to get a jet, the jets jet.
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you ain't going anywhere?
- 1:57:46Speaker 4: Bust it? What happened man? Bus? What happened jet?
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: Where would you go anywhere?
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: We'll just go to Bontare come back.
- 1:57:56Speaker 2: Yo're tripping, y'all are stuck to something that's not even there. Shay,
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: I don't go outside. You say it. On travel, I
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: hit the I hit I hit the streets all the time.
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: We travel all the time.
- 1:58:06Speaker 4: We do travel all the time.
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: Aren't you taking your first trip to Europe this year?
- 1:58:10Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: Your first trip?
- 1:58:12Speaker 4: How mantime has you been in.
- 1:58:13Speaker 1: Europe when I was twenty two years old?
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: Hey?
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: Actually?
- 1:58:18Speaker 2: Three?
- 1:58:18Speaker 5: Three times?
- 1:58:19Speaker 4: Oh for real?
- 1:58:19Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:58:20Speaker 1: You've been to Europe three times, two.
- 1:58:21Speaker 4: More times than me.
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:58:23Speaker 4: And mine was for football?
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: Yeah, do what?
- 1:58:27Speaker 5: Actually?
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: No, I went to Munich, Germany, foot London and uh Italy.
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: You've been to Europe one time on your own time.
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: I've still went three times.
- 1:58:41Speaker 4: He's crossed that pond.
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: I've still hit the Hoper House in Munich, Germany. I've
- 1:58:44Speaker 2: still like enjoyed the culture and complaining about everything being small.
- 1:58:50Speaker 5: My When I was with the Rams, I was supposed
- 1:58:51Speaker 5: to but I was nursing a broken jaw, so I
- 1:58:54Speaker 5: missed that. But uh no, I'm been. I'm been to Europe.
- 1:58:59Speaker 5: Good old boy it up. I'd like to, But I
- 1:59:01Speaker 5: got these kids. You know, they need to learn how
- 1:59:03Speaker 5: to eat better so that way I can take them
- 1:59:04Speaker 5: on mymorifications. This is the this is what I talk
- 1:59:07Speaker 5: to them all the time about, Like we can't just
- 1:59:08Speaker 5: have macaroni pizza, French fries and act like we're gonna
- 1:59:11Speaker 5: be okay for seven days. We're not. You know, you
