- 0:27Speaker 3: Yes, Hey, good morning Mark. It caught my attention. I
- 0:32Speaker 3: noticed in the town that I grew up in, Connecticut,
- 0:34Speaker 3: a blue state, that despite the fact that the student
- 0:38Speaker 3: enrollment from K to twelve has remained pretty much stagnant
- 0:42Speaker 3: at for static, I guess that's the word, at around
- 0:45Speaker 3: four thousand for take twenty five on the given year,
- 0:48Speaker 3: and yet the board of that is almost quadrupled in
- 0:51Speaker 3: the last thirty years.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just become a bull, you know, inefficient bureaucracy.
- 0:57Speaker 2: You're absolutely right.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Oh, and now they want to dig, you know, they
- 1:00Speaker 3: want a new building, they want everything.
- 1:02Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh my god, and where are you
- 1:04Speaker 2: driving to You sound like you're in your car.
- 1:06Speaker 4: I'm in Waterford now, Oh sorry.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I'm luck here where my son and daughter live. He
- 1:13Speaker 3: just finished up twenty three years in submarine duties.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Waterford is near New London. A big naval
- 1:20Speaker 2: base there.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Uh huh yeah, the coast Guard, the submarine base, two
- 1:25Speaker 3: other things.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Oh very good. All right, well thanks for calling. Let's
- 1:29Speaker 2: go to Kevin and Long Island. Kevin, how you doing.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Hey, Mark, big fan of the show. Listen all the time.
- 1:37Speaker 5: I wanted to touch base with you on.
- 1:39Speaker 6: Late night TV.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Yes, I go back to Carson. You know, I wasn't
- 1:44Speaker 5: around for before Carson, but then after Carson, when you
- 1:48Speaker 5: had Leno and all those other guys, my favorite was
- 1:51Speaker 5: actually Craig Ferguson. And you never mentioned Craig Ferguson. I
- 1:55Speaker 5: want to know what you think about him.
- 1:57Speaker 2: He was very very good, very very good, but he
- 2:00Speaker 2: was kind of the not the late night show. He
- 2:03Speaker 2: was the late late night show. Out of all the
- 2:06Speaker 2: late late shows. The Letterman, Tom Snyder, Seth Myers is
- 2:11Speaker 2: just awful, the worst, But you're right, Craig Ferguson very good.
- 2:14Speaker 2: A lot of YouTube videos watch Don Rickolson Craig Ferguson,
- 2:19Speaker 2: excellent stuff. Good point. Hey, if you haven't read the
- 2:23Speaker 2: New Carson book by Mark Malcoff, get the book. It's
- 2:27Speaker 2: called Love Johnny Carson. It is the greatest book ever
- 2:31Speaker 2: written on Johnny Carson, the Tonight show called Love Johnny Carson.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It's on Amazon. Mark Malcoff, get it. You'll love it. Actually,
- 2:39Speaker 2: we'll get him back on the show soon. Let's go
- 2:41Speaker 2: to Christine in Manhattan. Christine, how you doing?
- 2:45Speaker 5: Hi?
- 2:46Speaker 7: Mark, thank you for your great show. I have a question.
- 2:50Speaker 7: I live in Manhattan. I have not seen hide nor
- 2:54Speaker 7: hair of ice anywhere, and there's what I view as
- 2:58Speaker 7: a growing problem, more and more hostility from illegal aliens
- 3:03Speaker 7: that work in different businesses like a coffee shop or
- 3:07Speaker 7: a pizza parlor, and they're becoming very hostile and nasty.
- 3:12Speaker 8: You're white.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I think that's just you, and they're nice to all
- 3:15Speaker 2: of us. I think it's you. I'm kidding, I'm kidding.
- 3:18Speaker 2: What I'm kidding?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Well?
- 3:20Speaker 8: Where is ice? Why aren't these people being cleared out
- 3:23Speaker 8: of here?
- 3:24Speaker 2: What part of Manhattan? Are you in?
- 3:26Speaker 7: Lower East Side?
- 3:29Speaker 2: So? How long have you been there?
- 3:31Speaker 7: Many years?
- 3:32Speaker 2: So you saw the transformation. It used to be like
- 3:34Speaker 2: the Lower east Side, really old world stuff. Now it's
- 3:37Speaker 2: clubs and nightclubs and trendy restaurants.
- 3:39Speaker 8: It's probably driving well the clubs and disappearing. We're sort
- 3:44Speaker 8: of dead now because of the congestion pricing, so there's
- 3:49Speaker 8: nothing left uh here, and people are really suffering businesses
- 3:53Speaker 8: things like that.
- 3:55Speaker 2: All right, well, all of you illegals, did you ever
- 4:00Speaker 2: leave a tip? Do you ever leave a tip?
- 4:03Speaker 8: I don't want to talk about tips. I want to
- 4:05Speaker 8: know where was I.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I think she's not tipping. I think that's why they're
- 4:08Speaker 2: always nasty to you, son of your business. That nasty
- 4:14Speaker 2: to you? A little uh cold there, Christy, a little hostile.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Let's go to Nancy in New Jersey. Nancy, how you doing?
- 4:22Speaker 4: Okay? Mark? I just wanted you to know that the
- 4:25Speaker 4: nickname for Elizabeth Warren originally was faux Cahantas, as in
- 4:30Speaker 4: fake Pocahontas Pocahontas, and nobody's using that anymore. Did you
- 4:34Speaker 4: call your pocahontas Pocahontas?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Is better pokemon? But it was because it's a fake, right,
- 4:40Speaker 2: No Pocahontas. She's a fake Indian, so you call her Pocahontas.
- 4:44Speaker 2: But it was how He Car that started that. President
- 4:46Speaker 2: Trump's a big Howie Car fan. He picked it up
- 4:49Speaker 2: and started using it and it really caught on I know.
- 4:51Speaker 4: But originally was Pocahontas.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Anyway, not as good as Pocahonas. I like Pocahontas. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 2: all right, thanks for calling. Let's go to uh Bill
- 4:59Speaker 2: and Jersey Bill, how you doing good?
- 5:02Speaker 1: Thank you? Mark? Mark? How many more Americans have to
- 5:06Speaker 1: be killed and injured because the Democrats insist on giving
- 5:12Speaker 1: large truck licenses to illegals who cannot read road signs.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a big problem. A lot of illegal aliens
- 5:19Speaker 2: thanks to Democrats, are getting driver's licenes they can't read English,
- 5:22Speaker 2: and it's caused major accidents. And he's right, it's caused
- 5:26Speaker 2: a lot of deaths around the country. Hey, now there's
- 5:28Speaker 2: another caller named Bill in New Jersey. Maybe we'll make
- 5:31Speaker 2: that a feature. We'll just take calls from people named
- 5:33Speaker 2: Bill in New Jersey. Let's go to the other Bill
- 5:35Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Bill, how you doing good?
- 5:39Speaker 4: Good?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Good?
- 5:39Speaker 6: And that is William J. My full name, But great
- 5:43Speaker 6: calls from the previous callers the Johnny Carson Show and
- 5:46Speaker 6: Greg Ferguson is good. I wish you would come back
- 5:50Speaker 6: on a mainstream station to make people laugh. But my buddy,
- 5:56Speaker 6: my old high school. Buddy held a cute cards for
- 5:59Speaker 6: the Johnny Carson Monologue show, and I was on the
- 6:03Speaker 6: show a lot because I was working on the thirty
- 6:05Speaker 6: nine floor at thirty Rock. But Johnny Carson would never
- 6:09Speaker 6: go to Sardis with the gang. He would go home
- 6:12Speaker 6: to Park Avenue and he would drink a lot of vodka.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Well, yes, that was entirely accurate. When Johnny Carson before
- 6:20Speaker 2: the Tonight Show, he did a game show called who
- 6:22Speaker 2: Do You Trust? It was next door to Sartys, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: he spent a lot of time in Sardis. And then
- 6:27Speaker 2: in later years when he was doing the Tonight Show
- 6:29Speaker 2: in New York, he was out a lot of nights.
- 6:31Speaker 2: He was in Gilly's, he was in Danny's Hideaway, he
- 6:33Speaker 2: was in Michael's Pub, he was in Basin Street East.
- 6:36Speaker 2: He was quite the party guy all over New York,
- 6:40Speaker 2: out a lot.
- 6:43Speaker 6: And he used to say once he admitted he was
- 6:46Speaker 6: an alcoholic. Somebody said, well, why don't you drink anymore?
- 6:50Speaker 6: And he said, I'm not a happy drunk, I'm a
- 6:53Speaker 6: bad drunk.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Yeah, he got in a lot of fights with He
- 6:56Speaker 2: had an incredible talent for Dangerfields, the place he went
- 7:01Speaker 2: he had an incredible talent for when he got drunk
- 7:03Speaker 2: and he go out, he'd hit on some woman, like inappropriately,
- 7:07Speaker 2: like drunkenly. He had an incredible talent for the woman
- 7:10Speaker 2: he would hit on for always picking the girlfriend of
- 7:13Speaker 2: a mobster who had just gone to the men's room.
- 7:15Speaker 2: So a couple of times he almost got killed. The
- 7:20Speaker 2: most famous one was in Jilly's where he hit on
- 7:22Speaker 2: this woman and started groping her. He was drunk, very drunk,
- 7:27Speaker 2: and she was the girlfriend of Joey Gallo, and he
- 7:31Speaker 2: was going to kill him. An official contract was out
- 7:34Speaker 2: on Carson. He had to leave. He couldn't do the
- 7:37Speaker 2: Tonight Show for a few nights. They had to hide
- 7:39Speaker 2: him away and lock him up. It finally got settled.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Somebody at NBC had enough mob connections to try to
- 7:45Speaker 2: get it setled, and it was Frank Sinatra who stepped
- 7:48Speaker 2: in and convinced Joey Gallo to drop the hit on Carson.
- 7:52Speaker 2: It took him like a week before he could come
- 7:54Speaker 2: back to work. Hey, when we come back, Bill O'Reilly
- 7:57Speaker 2: will be with us. He's got a great new book out.
- 7:59Speaker 2: We'll talk to Bill O'Reilly next about Graham Plattner about
- 8:03Speaker 2: all sorts of stuff coming up on seven to ten
- 8:05Speaker 2: wor
