  Speaker 1: see is the deity of Christ. We go back before

  Speaker 1: the creation, is that the Word was with God, and

  Speaker 1: the Word was God, and the word we're gonna see

  Speaker 1: has become flesh. Jesus is the logos, the Word of God.

  Speaker 1: We see the powerful deity. We see that he is
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: the light of the world, and darkness cannot comprehend it.

  Speaker 1: Darkness Satan can do nothing with Jesus Christ. There's no counsel,

  Speaker 1: there's no strategy. The only thing he can do is

  Speaker 1: try to come after us. All that pent up frustration,

  Speaker 1: draw all men hunting me. So if you want to

  Speaker 1: grow and you want a healthy in a effective ministry,

  Speaker 1: make sure you're lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ, and

  Speaker 1: If you receive opposition in your ministry, you want to

  Speaker 1: a sudden, out of nowhere, people are hating on you.

  Speaker 1: couldn't even get out there.

  Speaker 1: Well, that's a good sign that you're doing the will

  Speaker 1: of God. Amen. That is a good sign because Satan

  Speaker 1: priests and levit's from Jerusalem to ask him, who are you? Now?

  Speaker 1: Let me let me say this, John the Baptist, he

  Speaker 1: created such a stir when he was preaching and he

  Speaker 1: was baptizing that the religion leaders in Jerusalem had to

  Speaker 1: what's going on? And I can relate to that. When

  Speaker 1: we started the club back in twenty twelve, I've had pastors,

  Speaker 1: I've had people, even had a person come and tell

  Speaker 1: me that. You know what, there's a particular woman in
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: our city. If she does not give you the approval
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: or legitimize your ministry, then like you don't get credit.

  Speaker 1: And I'm like, man, I wouldn't want her job for
• 12:33
  Speaker 1: all the money in the world. You know what I mean.
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: I'm legitimized by the Holy Spirit. You know what I'm saying.

  Speaker 1: And so yeah, the opposition out of the priests and
• 12:45
  Speaker 1: the levice came not out of hunger for truth, but
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: out of suspicion. They were suspicious of John the Baptist. Now,
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: see that's the system, and the system respond when God
• 13:02
  Speaker 1: starts moving. So stay encouraged. I've heard people call it
• 13:07
  Speaker 1: the Christian Illuminati online. Right, there is a system out
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: there that is designed against the moving of God. Now

  Speaker 1: instead of people celebrating revival that people are getting healed,

  Speaker 1: delivered and set free. Nah, people want to investigate. They

  Speaker 1: want to watch your life. There's people watching me right now.

  Speaker 1: of God. Right. That just comes with the territory. Man.

  Speaker 1: The Baptist religion gets nervous when truth shows up a man, hallelujah.

  Speaker 1: John was a humble servant. He didn't let people elevate

  Speaker 1: him beyond his role. You see, sometimes the biggest trap

  Speaker 1: is letting people call you something you're not. John was
• 14:57
  Speaker 1: quick to shut it down. I am Christ. He knew

  Speaker 1: his lane. You know what I'm saying, And I've dealt

  Speaker 1: with that. I ain't gonna lie. That was probably one

  Speaker 1: of my biggest struggles. You know. I felt I was something.

  Speaker 1: I was somebody. I have the only club in Las Vegas,

  Speaker 1: people calling me left and right, phone ringing off the hook,

  Speaker 1: and I'm like, you know what, it is better to
• 15:28
  Speaker 1: stay humble and allow God to guide us then to

  Speaker 1: try to think we can take the wheel and do

  Speaker 1: better than God. Amen. We gotta stay humble first twenty

  Speaker 1: one And they asked him, what then are you Elijah?

  Speaker 1: He said, I am not. Are you the prophet? And
• 15:52
  Speaker 1: he said no. See he still he could have had
• 15:57
  Speaker 1: some status. He's still denying. Right here. He said, I

  Speaker 1: am the voice of on crying in the wilderness. Make

  Speaker 1: straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet. Isaiah said. Amen.

  Speaker 1: So he quotes scripture here. Now, the Jews expected Elijah

  Speaker 1: to return before the Messiah. The word a guy says

  Speaker 1: it based on Malachi chapter four, verse five. For homework,

  Speaker 1: look up that verse. Read that as a background Malachi

  Speaker 1: chapter four, verse five. They also expected the prophet from
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: Deuteronomy eighteen fifteen. Now, Moses speaks of a prophet that

  Speaker 1: will come that was just like Moses, and Moses told
• 16:58
  Speaker 1: the whole nation to take heed and listen to this prophet.

  Speaker 1: And John also rejects that title. Now, notice Don John,

  Speaker 1: Don John did not try to inflate himself with a

  Speaker 1: grand title. He was in try to flash his title

  Speaker 1: in front of people. I mean, he could have said, yeah,

  Speaker 1: I'm Elijah, I'm Elijah, like I'm just like Elijah. He
• 17:26
  Speaker 1: could have said that, and that would have been true
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: because he came in the spirit of Elijah. But he
• 17:32
  Speaker 1: just kept as simple Kingdom. Workers don't need hype. Just obedience. Man,

  Speaker 1: don't need hype. All we need is to be obedient

  Speaker 1: to the call. Hey man. Twenty two to twenty three.

  Speaker 1: give an answer to those who sent us? What do

  Speaker 1: you say about yourself? And he said, I am the

  Speaker 1: voice of one crying in the wilderness. Make straight the

  Speaker 1: way of the Lord. As a prophet. Isaiah said, now

  Speaker 1: John identifies himself only by the word of God. That

  Speaker 1: is a safe thing to do. As a matter of fact,

  Speaker 1: I want to share a quick story. I went down

  Speaker 1: to minister to the juvenile detention center last Saturday, and

  Speaker 1: we had an open discussion. Right we put the tables

  Speaker 1: in a circle, a semi circle, and we dig into
• 18:52
  Speaker 1: the Word and I invite questions. And there was one
• 18:57
  Speaker 1: particular guy who had a lot of questions, and he
• 18:59
  Speaker 1: was like, well, what about the guy in the island

  Speaker 1: who don't know never heard the gospel? You know, I've
• 19:04
  Speaker 1: heard it, said that if you don't believe in Jesus,
• 19:06
  Speaker 1: you're going to go to hell. Well, that guy go
• 19:08
  Speaker 1: to hell. And they're saying, well, what about this, what
• 19:11
  Speaker 1: about that? What about this? And then they said, well
• 19:15
  Speaker 1: I think this, this is that, this is this, and
• 19:17
  Speaker 1: this is what I said. Look, be careful. There's one
• 19:20
  Speaker 1: thing that you're doing that is a huge mistake. You're
• 19:25
  Speaker 1: going off of your own opinion. You're trusting your own heart,
• 19:30
  Speaker 1: your own thoughts. You're grabbingmself out of the air. We

  Speaker 1: need to come back to the Word of God and
• 19:37
  Speaker 1: allow the Word of God to speak to instruct The
• 19:40
  Speaker 1: only way we're going to learn about God is by revelation,
• 19:44
  Speaker 1: by God revealing himself to us. God has to reveal truth,
• 19:49
  Speaker 1: and once we hear the truth, then we cannot resist it.

  Speaker 1: The Book of Roman says that people will resist, they
• 19:59
  Speaker 1: will fight again against truth, and that's dangerous. And they

  Speaker 1: kept going off their own opinion and just off the stuff.

  Speaker 1: And I'm like, look, I'm gonna keep bringing to the Word.

  Speaker 1: He says, every question you ask, I'm coming to the Word,

  Speaker 1: and a few of them they are just not happy
• 20:19
  Speaker 1: with my answers. I'm like, look, this is the word,
• 20:24
  Speaker 1: and so Amen, let's not make that mistake. And I'm

  Speaker 1: excited to see John the Baptist is doing the same thing.

  Speaker 1: He identifies himself by the word. He begins to quote
• 20:35
  Speaker 1: Scripture and Isaiah forty chapter three. He quotes that and
• 20:42
  Speaker 1: he says he is not a celebrity, He's a servant,
• 20:47
  Speaker 1: pointing the way. Amen, Now what do you say about yourself?

  Speaker 1: What do I say about myself? That is the big question.

  Speaker 1: John said, I'm just a voice, not a brand, not

  Speaker 1: a big name, just a voice for Jesus. And this

  Speaker 1: is the model. Amen, And I am honored to be

  Speaker 1: that voice. If that's all I am is his voice?

  Speaker 1: What do they call it in the choir the crier.

  Speaker 1: I'm gonna know I'm saying it wrong. But basically, when

  Speaker 1: the king sends going out to make announcements or announce

  Speaker 1: certain things about the king and the kingdom, that's all

  Speaker 1: we are. We're just supposed to go through our village

  Speaker 1: and announce what the king has already said. Amen. All right?

  Speaker 1: Twenty four and twenty five. Now those who were sent

  Speaker 1: were from the Pharisees, and they asked him saying, why

  Speaker 1: then do you baptize if you are not the Christ,

  Speaker 1: or Elijah or the Prophet. Now, the Pharisees mindset was legalistic.

  Speaker 1: There's that religious, legalistic religious spirit that the Church has

  Speaker 1: been fighting from day one. A man, I personally had

  Speaker 1: to fight the spirit and didn't even know I was
• 22:28
  Speaker 1: in a battle. It says, who gave you the authority?
• 22:32
  Speaker 1: They couldn't understand that God himself had called John. They
• 22:37
  Speaker 1: could understand the relationship peace that God wants to have
• 22:41
  Speaker 1: with every one of us. The world don't understand it.

  Speaker 1: They don't get it, and religious people don't understand the
• 22:50
  Speaker 1: personal relationship, the intimacy part. This is the biggest thing
• 22:55
  Speaker 1: that we have. This is our biggest weapon, our biggest
• 22:58
  Speaker 1: privilege is we we get to go and spend time
• 23:03
  Speaker 1: with God. You just don't know how much of a
• 23:09
  Speaker 1: blessing that is. We get to a lot of people
• 23:12
  Speaker 1: like the name drop right, especially here in Vegas. It's
• 23:15
  Speaker 1: about who you know and not what you know. People
• 23:18
  Speaker 1: want to name drop and once you are connected or
• 23:21
  Speaker 1: know a certain person, then yeah, you could possibly go
• 23:25
  Speaker 1: to the next level. Well, how about the creator of
• 23:30
  Speaker 1: the universe. We get to spend time with him. Now,
• 23:39
  Speaker 1: this right here shows how people question your authority just
• 23:46
  Speaker 1: like me. People question my authority to do the ministry
• 23:50
  Speaker 1: that I was involved in. But when God sends you,
• 23:54
  Speaker 1: you don't need man's stamp of approval. And that's my
• 23:59
  Speaker 1: whole point. There's a lot of people who disapproved of

  Speaker 1: me opening and operating a Christian nightclub in Sin City.
• 24:08
  Speaker 1: Even the most opposition was from inside the church. Go figure,
• 24:14
  Speaker 1: and people felt that I needed their approval or I
• 24:19
  Speaker 1: needed their head nod or whatever, and I was just
• 24:23
  Speaker 1: trying to do what God called me to do. Now,
• 24:27
  Speaker 1: I'm not saying I did everything perfect, but what I'm
• 24:31
  Speaker 1: saying is that I live this. This is real talk
• 24:35
  Speaker 1: right here now verse twenty six and twenty seven. John
• 24:39
  Speaker 1: answered them saying, I baptized with the water. But there
• 24:44
  Speaker 1: stands one among you whom you do not know. It
• 24:49
  Speaker 1: is he who coming after me, is preferred before me,
• 24:56
  Speaker 1: whose sandal straps I am not worthy to lose. Hey man,

  Speaker 1: Now that's humility right there, and that's us. That is
• 25:05
  Speaker 1: our position. This is where we need to stay. We
• 25:10
  Speaker 1: need to stop, and I'm preaching to myself right now,
• 25:13
  Speaker 1: we need to stop trying to get the glory for
• 25:16
  Speaker 1: ourselves and realize that we're not even worthy to loosen
• 25:23
  Speaker 1: his sandal straps. Amen. Now, John pointed away from himself
• 25:33
  Speaker 1: and pointed to Christ. Even the lowest servant had the
• 25:41
  Speaker 1: job of loosening sandals. But John said he wasn't even
• 25:46
  Speaker 1: worthy of that capacity compared to Jesus. Christ, the lowest
• 25:54
  Speaker 1: servant will loose sandals traps. He wasn't even at that level.

  Speaker 1: That is humility on a whole another level. He basically said,

  Speaker 1: I'm lower than the lowest of servants when it comes
• 26:11
  Speaker 1: to Jesus, and that's how he keep pride from creeping in. Amen,
