  Words that give life. Have you ever had a moment where
• 0:15
  just one sentence changed everything for you?
• 0:18
  Maybe it was a simple I believe in you when you felt like
• 0:21
  quitting, or a kind word that met you right in the middle of a
• 0:24
  hard day. And on the flip side, maybe
• 0:28
  you've also felt how one careless or harsh comment can
• 0:30
  sit in your heart far longer than it should.
• 0:33
  Words are never just words. They carry weight, they carry
• 0:36
  direction, they carry life or loss.
• 0:41
  Proverbs chapter 10, verses 20 to 21 says the tongue of the
• 0:45
  righteous is choice. Silver, the lips of the
• 0:47
  righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense.
• 0:51
  That's such a powerful image choice.
• 0:54
  Silver is valuable, refined, and intentional.
• 0:57
  God is saying that when your heart is aligned with Him, your
• 0:59
  words become something precious. They don't just sound nice, they
• 1:03
  nourish. They strengthen.
• 1:06
  They feed people who are hungry for hope, truth, and
• 1:09
  encouragement. Then we see this truth unfolding
• 1:12
  in Acts chapter 13. Paul and Barnabas face
• 1:16
  resistance, misunderstanding, and rejection as they preach the
• 1:19
  gospel. Not everyone wants to hear what
• 1:22
  they have to say. But Acts chapter 13, verse 24
• 1:26
  tells us something incredible. The Word of God increased and
• 1:29
  multiplied. Opposition didn't stop it.
• 1:32
  Criticism didn't silence it. God's Word kept growing,
• 1:37
  spreading, and reaching new hearts.
• 1:39
  And what was the result? Acts chapter 13, verse 52 says
• 1:43
  the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
• 1:46
  Notice that. Not bitterness, not exhaustion,
• 1:50
  Joy. When words are rooted in God's
• 1:52
  truth and empowered by His Spirit, they don't drain life.
• 1:56
  They produce it. They create joy even in
• 1:58
  difficult circumstances. This is such an important
• 2:02
  reminder for us today. We use words constantly in
• 2:05
  conversations, in messages online, at home, at school, at
• 2:09
  work. And every time we speak, we're
• 2:13
  either feeding something or tearing something down.
• 2:16
  Words aligned with God bring clarity instead of confusion,
• 2:19
  hope instead of fear, healing instead of harm.
• 2:23
  You don't have to be a preacher to give life with your words.
• 2:26
  A sincere apology, a gentle correction, a scripture shared
• 2:30
  at the right moment, a prayer spoken over someone who's
• 2:32
  struggling. These are the ways God's Word
• 2:36
  multiplies through ordinary people.
• 2:38
  When you let the Holy Spirit shape your heart, your words
• 2:41
  begin to carry more than your opinion.
• 2:43
  They carry God's life. The world is full of noise,
• 2:47
  criticism, and empty talk. But God invites you to be
• 2:51
  different, to speak with intention, to let your words
• 2:54
  reflect His truth, to be someone whose lips feed many, whose
• 2:58
  voice brings joy, and whose life points others toward Jesus.

  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 3:05
  reminding me that my words matter more than I realize.
• 3:09
  Shake my heart so that what comes out of my mouth reflects
• 3:11
  Your truth and love. Help me to speak life,
• 3:15
  encouragement and wisdom to the people around me.
• 3:18
  Fill me with the Holy Spirit so my words and my actions bring
• 3:22
  joy, hope and nourishment to others.
• 3:25
  Use my voice to point people to Jesus and to build what lasts in
• 3:29
  Jesus name, Amen. What if the way you pray changed
• 3:33
  because you truly knew who God is?

  raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified.

  Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you

  who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.

  For those who dwell in Jerusalem.

  And their rulers, because they didn't know Him, nor the voices

  of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by

  condemning Him. Though they found no cause for

  death, they still asked Pillate to have him killed.

  When they had fulfilled all things that were written about

  Him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb.

  But God raised him from the dead, and he was seen for many

  days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem,

  who are His witnesses to the people.

  We bring you good news of the promise made to the Father's

  that God has fulfilled this to us, their children.

  In that He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second

  Psalm. You are my Son.

  Today I have become your Father. Concerning that He raised him up

  from the dead. Now no more to return to

  corruption. He has spoken.

  Thus. I will give you the holy and

  sure blessings of David. Therefore he says also in

  another Psalm, You will not allow your holy one to see

  decay. For David, after he had in his

  own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was

  laid with his Father's, and saw decay.

  But he whom God raised up saw no decay.

  Be it known to you, therefore, brothers, that through this man

  is proclaimed to you remission of sins, and by him everyone who
• 9:35
  believes is justified from all things from which you could not
• 9:38
  be justified by the law of Moses.

  But we're therefore lest that come on you which is spoken in
• 9:43
  the prophets, behold, you scoffers, wonder and perish.

  For I work a work in your days, a work which you will in no way
• 9:50
  believe, if one declares it to you.

  So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged
• 9:56
  that these words might be preached to them the next
• 9:58
  Sabbath. Now when the synagogue broke up,

  many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul
• 10:04
  and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in
• 10:08
  the grace of God. The next Sabbath almost the
• 10:11
  whole city was gathered together to hear the word of God.
• 10:14
  But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled
• 10:17
  with jealousy, and contradicted the things which were spoken by
• 10:20
  Paul and blasphemed. Paul and Barnabas spoke out
• 10:23
  boldly, and said it was necessary that God's Word should
• 10:27
  be spoken to you first, since indeed you thrust it from
• 10:30
  yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life.
• 10:33
  Behold, we turn to the Gentiles, for so has the Lord commanded
• 10:37
  us, saying, I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you
• 10:41
  should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.
• 10:44
  As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the Word
• 10:48
  of God. As many as were appointed to
• 10:50
  eternal life believed the Lord's word was spread abroad
• 10:54
  throughout all the region. But the Jews stirred up the
• 10:57
  devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city and
• 11:00
  stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas and threw them
• 11:04
  out of their borders. But they shook off the dust of
• 11:06
  their feet against them and came to Iconium.
• 11:09
  The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
• 11:14
