- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Everybody know Scott again on foul Territory today, which means
- 0:08Speaker 2: it's going to be a better day always. When Scott's out.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Scott's probably doing bicep curls as we speak right now,
- 0:14Speaker 2: Lucky Cratzy, I mean, he's probably he found his super
- 0:17Speaker 2: medium shirt and he's just standing in the mirror going
- 0:19Speaker 2: like this over and over again until it gets a
- 0:22Speaker 2: hurt neck. So Scott, we hope your neck feels better
- 0:25Speaker 2: after you get done with your bicyp curls, and hopefully
- 0:27Speaker 2: your shirt will actually fit still, even though you don't
- 0:29Speaker 2: have any to fit now. So before we get into baseball, Cratsy,
- 0:33Speaker 2: you have your USA flag on top of your hat.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Let's talk about how bad that game was last night.
- 0:38Speaker 2: And by the way, I don't know whether you like
- 0:40Speaker 2: Dave Portnoy or not, but I have one thing to
- 0:42Speaker 2: say about Dave Portnoy. He's a USA fan and also
- 0:45Speaker 2: he kind of summed up my feelings on soccer at
- 0:47Speaker 2: this point.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I watched the Premier League.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I'm a Tottenham fan, this and that, but every four
- 0:51Speaker 2: years we get hyped up that this American team is
- 0:53Speaker 2: going to be the one that finally gets through and
- 0:56Speaker 2: finally does this, and finally does that, and then they
- 0:58Speaker 2: play a team that's worth the crap and they crap
- 1:00Speaker 2: all over themselves.
- 1:02Speaker 1: I mean, it was it was close.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I felt like we talked about it last night because
- 1:05Speaker 3: there was a lot of It was a party with
- 1:07Speaker 3: a lot of people my age and their kids who
- 1:09Speaker 3: played soccer. I played soccer all throughout high school. I
- 1:12Speaker 3: hadn opportunity I could have played in college. I would
- 1:15Speaker 3: have played at a completely mediocre level, similar to baseball.
- 1:18Speaker 3: But in two thousand and two, when they make it
- 1:21Speaker 3: to the semi finals, you go, wow. I'm a'm twenty one,
- 1:25Speaker 3: twenty two years old at that point, and I remember
- 1:27Speaker 3: them saying my whole life growing up playing soccer, soccer's
- 1:31Speaker 3: getting huge. We're going to be one of the big
- 1:33Speaker 3: contenders on the main stage in the World Cup for years,
- 1:36Speaker 3: and two thousand and two they did it. They were there,
- 1:38Speaker 3: and I was like, wow, and here we are, twenty
- 1:41Speaker 3: twenty six, same place, easy path to the round of sixteen,
- 1:46Speaker 3: hope and pray you make it to the semi or
- 1:49Speaker 3: the quarterfinals, and really just a poor showing losing three
- 1:54Speaker 3: to one to Belgium, who I think is probably aging
- 1:57Speaker 3: stars right now. I get it, where the ranked in
- 2:00Speaker 3: the count, in the nation, or in the world right now,
- 2:03Speaker 3: but I just feels like we're still steps steps behind
- 2:08Speaker 3: now women's soccer, women's soccer is huge. America's doing it
- 2:12Speaker 3: in women's soccer, so there's that. But we're never gonna
- 2:15Speaker 3: come close to Germany France. I think France has like
- 2:19Speaker 3: seventy eight French people that are playing in the World Cup.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Just the dual citizenship things playing out.
- 2:26Speaker 1: By the way, it was.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Four to one because Lukaku scored at the last Oh
- 2:29Speaker 2: I forgot.
- 2:30Speaker 1: He came in.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Just to just to dunk onto the US's face in front,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and then he gave the he gave the who to
- 2:35Speaker 2: the fans and the whole coogan.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I can't hear you whole thing. So, yeah, you're right.
- 2:40Speaker 2: I mean, at one point we thought, hey, if we
- 2:42Speaker 2: could get our best athletes to play soccer.
- 2:43Speaker 1: It hasn't happened yet, and it's not gonna happen for
- 2:46Speaker 1: a long time. I'm sorry.
- 2:47Speaker 2: And by the way, Christian Polisics, you're supposed to be
- 2:49Speaker 2: the man we're gonna need.
- 2:52Speaker 1: To broke still. But before he broke his toe, he
- 2:56Speaker 1: was Belgium's best player. Sorry, every time he got the ball,
- 2:58Speaker 1: he gave it back to the other.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So listen, whatever, I don't know enough about soccer to
- 3:03Speaker 2: really get into it.
- 3:04Speaker 1: We don't have enough time. We got a lot more
- 3:05Speaker 1: important stuff to talk about. Like Ben Rice has announced
- 3:08Speaker 1: that he is going to be in the home run Derby.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Now we know, as former players and people that watch
- 3:13Speaker 1: this kind of stuff, crotzy, this can ruin a guy's season.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So are you surprised the Yankees are letting Ben Rice
- 3:19Speaker 1: do this? Because honestly, he's been their healthiest best hitter
- 3:22Speaker 1: all year.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I mean, you can't, you can't. You can't put that one.
- 3:26Speaker 3: You can't put that on him. Two Yankees fans are
- 3:28Speaker 3: in a tough place right now. They won their slitler start.
- 3:31Speaker 3: This video, though, is epic for people who aren't watching.
- 3:35Speaker 3: It's Ben Rice getting flipped to by his dad and
- 3:39Speaker 3: he's posted it on Instagram. So check out Ben Rice
- 3:41Speaker 3: twenty two on Instagram. And he said this was their
- 3:45Speaker 3: first practice round. So does that mean his dad's throwing
- 3:48Speaker 3: to him? I didn't fully read that.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Probably I think so, But also by that angle of
- 3:55Speaker 2: that video, he was hitting home runs. Look like behind him,
- 4:00Speaker 2: So he's training to be a cricket player.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Who knows. Yeah, I don't know what that video.
- 4:03Speaker 2: We got to clean that video up somehow, but yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 2: Ben Rice is in the home run derby. I think
- 4:08Speaker 2: if you can read it here citizens Bang Ballpark, Dad
- 4:11Speaker 2: and I are hitting the home run derby. Swipe to
- 4:12Speaker 2: see our first practice round. So I'm assuming that means
- 4:16Speaker 2: that his dad is going to throw him like you said.
- 4:18Speaker 2: And then Cam Schlitzler chimed in and personal gatorade boy here.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I hope the regression doesn't get Cam when he's given
- 4:23Speaker 2: out gatorade, and especially if Ben Rice keeps advancing in
- 4:27Speaker 2: this thing. But I think this is great. We need
- 4:30Speaker 2: he's a star, like people would say Judge Stanton, but
- 4:33Speaker 2: in New York people know Ben Rice. And this is
- 4:35Speaker 2: how you promote young stars of the game is by
- 4:38Speaker 2: getting them to do their signature event. The main signature
- 4:41Speaker 2: event in Major League Baseball is the home run derby
- 4:44Speaker 2: and the All Star Game, and he's going to be
- 4:45Speaker 2: a both and he gets to perform instance Sinnatti, excuse
- 4:48Speaker 2: me in Philadelphia in front of a large audience.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Who would you have had throw it to you? If
- 4:53Speaker 3: you were in the Big League Home run Derby, did
- 4:56Speaker 3: you have like a coach or somebody that you were like,
- 4:59Speaker 3: this person throws most money VP for me to be
- 5:01Speaker 3: able to win this.
- 5:02Speaker 1: We had a guy named Mike Gellinger who was.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Of like a coach that was he wasn't He was
- 5:08Speaker 2: like an assistant hitting coach before there was an assistant
- 5:11Speaker 2: hitting coaches. And then he kind of he still works
- 5:14Speaker 2: for the White Sox, but he would he was money.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I mean, everybody wanted Frank Thomas hit off Gilly for
- 5:19Speaker 2: years Kinerko hit off Gilly. It was like, oh, we
- 5:21Speaker 2: want I want Mike Gellinger to throw to me. And
- 5:23Speaker 2: then when I got older, Eddie Perez when I was
- 5:25Speaker 2: with the Braves, Edie everyone he threw to Freddy for
- 5:27Speaker 2: years and everyone's like, oh, I want Eddie Perez to
- 5:29Speaker 2: throw to me because he just he had that catcher's
- 5:31Speaker 2: arm where he was like short and it was a
- 5:32Speaker 2: four seamer.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It was right over the top and it was like perfect.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Every time people think we're talking like no way, no way,
- 5:39Speaker 3: you know the person, it's a hundred. I don't know
- 5:41Speaker 3: who you're talking about, but I remember watching he threw
- 5:44Speaker 3: to frank In when he won it in Pittsburgh.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Correct, probably, yeah, I'm sure he did.
- 5:50Speaker 3: If you go back, people need to go back and
- 5:52Speaker 3: look at that. For the home run derby, he threw
- 5:54Speaker 3: from the mound. They put turf on the mound. Whoever
- 5:57Speaker 3: threw to frank I don't know if it was him
- 5:59Speaker 3: that year, but in Pittsburgh he was throwing from the mat.
- 6:01Speaker 3: It's something you we just don't see anymore. But a
- 6:04Speaker 3: good BP thrower is like gold. They create positions for
- 6:08Speaker 3: a good BP thrower. Well, they get now.
- 6:12Speaker 2: They get rewarded if they go to the home run
- 6:15Speaker 2: derby and the guy wins, right now, they get a check.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I mean, if Bryce Harber wins, he's probably cutting his
- 6:19Speaker 2: dad a check for what ten dollars or something, you know,
- 6:22Speaker 2: twenty dollars. Maybe might give dad, I'll pay for your
- 6:24Speaker 2: dinner tonight.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Hey, golf, it's ten percent. You tip your caddy ten
- 6:28Speaker 3: percent at least so of your winnings. Just saying, just
- 6:32Speaker 3: saying for everybody who's out there winning it a million dollars, but.
- 6:37Speaker 1: A Todd tip.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Next time Todd's on, you need to ask Todd what
- 6:40Speaker 2: he tipped his VP thrower. We gotta, right, we gotta
- 6:44Speaker 2: because does he get like one of the bats, the trophy,
- 6:47Speaker 2: you know, the trophy, So does he cut it in
- 6:49Speaker 2: half and give him half the true because his trophy,
- 6:51Speaker 2: you work? Does that thing glued together and his brother
- 6:53Speaker 2: actually has the other half?
- 6:54Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah, like a friendship, like a friendship necklace that comes together,
- 6:58Speaker 3: and yeah, they have to cut them together.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And put the bats together. Yes, exactly.
- 7:03Speaker 2: So congratulations ben Rice, good luck in the home run derby.
- 7:06Speaker 2: And by the way, you only get foot forty swings
- 7:08Speaker 2: or forty pitches or your VP thrower better be twenty money.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Twenty twenty twenty twenty swings.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Oh okay, I forgot the new rules are all? They
- 7:18Speaker 2: changed every year, so I got to I read up
- 7:20Speaker 2: on them. Then I went away for two weeks. Now
- 7:22Speaker 2: I got to read up on them again. Yeah, twenty
- 7:24Speaker 2: swings the last one. You can continue if you just
- 7:27Speaker 2: each swing that you make, you continue on, so to
- 7:30Speaker 2: sen Yeah, just twenty balls.

- 8:40Speaker 2: All right, here we go, Cratzy. It's an everyday thing.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Now on the show, we talk about the Mets. We
- 8:45Speaker 2: have to talk about the Mets. We can't just have
- 8:47Speaker 2: a show on foul territory and not talk about the Mets.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Why because they're the Mets. I mean, Freddy Parol to pitch,
- 8:54Speaker 2: Freddie Pearol does now calling his own pitches, He's possibly
- 8:58Speaker 2: going to be traded.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I mean, does this make a difference to you?
- 9:02Speaker 2: Because to me, like a guy calling his own pitches,
- 9:04Speaker 2: does that mean that Francisco Alvarez, I think he or lose.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Trenz whoever caught him yesterday, wasn't calling the right pitches before?
- 9:12Speaker 2: Or was Freddie Peerulta saying the guys will William Contreras
- 9:15Speaker 2: and Milwaukee was calling better pitches for me than And
- 9:17Speaker 2: that's why I'm struggling.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Is this just an excuse or is this a real thing?
- 9:21Speaker 3: I mean, you know it's a real thing. You know,
- 9:23Speaker 3: it's a real thing. He even said, he said sometimes
- 9:26Speaker 3: in a pit as a pitcher, this is Freddy's quotes.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I like to follow my instincts. Situations in the game
- 9:31Speaker 3: don't allow us or give us enough time to think
- 9:34Speaker 3: or to decide on one pitch or the other.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So I had it.
- 9:38Speaker 3: So I had it there talking about the pitch Colm,
- 9:41Speaker 3: just in case in any situation, if I had if
- 9:45Speaker 3: I had the trust in one pitch. Yes, he said
- 9:49Speaker 3: at the beginning, this isn't about the catchers, this isn't
- 9:51Speaker 3: about the pitching coach or anything like that. But then
- 9:55Speaker 3: he on the same breath he said, well, I have
- 9:58Speaker 3: to be convicted in what I throw, so you know
- 10:01Speaker 3: as well as anybody, AJA doesn't matter what fingers I
- 10:04Speaker 3: put down. If the pitcher isn't convicted in it, we
- 10:08Speaker 3: got no shot. So he didn't trust something that was
- 10:13Speaker 3: going on. He didn't say Luis Terrenz, he didn't say
- 10:17Speaker 3: Francisco Alvarez, he didn't say the pitching coach. But he
- 10:20Speaker 3: didn't trust the pitches that were being put down. So
- 10:23Speaker 3: it was clearly a problem. He didn't believe in it,
- 10:25Speaker 3: and he had so in my opinion, every pitcher needs
- 10:29Speaker 3: to be able to shake off. Every pitcher needs to
- 10:30Speaker 3: be able to have a pitch com for themselves so
- 10:34Speaker 3: that they get the pitch that they're like, I'm one
- 10:36Speaker 3: hundred percent behind this one.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Even if it's the wrong pitch. But okay. But then
- 10:40Speaker 1: that goes back to my original question.
- 10:42Speaker 2: When he was on Milwaukee, we didn't hear about this,
- 10:44Speaker 2: So does that mean he believes contreras Or and or
- 10:47Speaker 2: whoever the other catcher was in Milwaukee was doing a
- 10:49Speaker 2: better job a of being prepared, be calling the pitches.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Or maybe it's an organizational thing. The organization was better
- 10:55Speaker 2: at it than what the Mets are. So then is
- 10:57Speaker 2: this an organizational thing? Because I mean, he didn't pitch
- 11:00Speaker 2: great last night, I mean foreign he only went four
- 11:02Speaker 2: and two thirds. It's like you went out and went
- 11:04Speaker 2: seven innings of shutty? So is that's more of my question?
- 11:09Speaker 2: Is is I understand it's the thing? Because listen, pitchers
- 11:11Speaker 2: I called their own game. Go get them, bro. If
- 11:14Speaker 2: you if you give it up, you can't blame me.
- 11:16Speaker 2: It's the easiest thing in the world to do. And
- 11:18Speaker 2: you know this crutch and I know this, and we've
- 11:20Speaker 2: been through this pitching coaches and pitchers, they give up hits.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Why'd you call that pitch? Right?
- 11:25Speaker 2: Hey, call your own game. It don't matter to me.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I'm just putting down my best suggestion. If you don't
- 11:29Speaker 2: agree with it, to throw whatever you want. And if
- 11:32Speaker 2: it gives hit and you only got one person blaming
- 11:33Speaker 2: you got, you lose the excuse when you call your
- 11:36Speaker 2: own pitches.
- 11:37Speaker 1: And I'm all for it. As a former catcher, for sure.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It's just like shifts. You can't you can't turn around.
- 11:42Speaker 3: And why, oh man, if we were playing our second
- 11:44Speaker 3: basement at the same spot that everyone else in the
- 11:47Speaker 3: whole league plays their second basement, but you could have
- 11:49Speaker 3: moved them if you knew he was gonna throw, if
- 11:52Speaker 3: you were gonna throw a pitch that he could hit there,
- 11:54Speaker 3: you could have moved him. And so I think fred
- 11:56Speaker 3: Obviously I played with Freddy when he was in Milwaukee.
- 11:59Speaker 3: This was his rookie year, so I got to see,
- 12:03Speaker 3: you know, how Milwaukee evaluated his stuff. Stuff changes, but
- 12:09Speaker 3: stuff doesn't change this drastically in my opinion, unless he's
- 12:13Speaker 3: dealing with something in one year. So to me, if
- 12:18Speaker 3: you're a team right now and you're looking at Freddie
- 12:20Speaker 3: p as a possible team that you want to you
- 12:24Speaker 3: want to acquire him as a pitcher at the trade deadline,
- 12:28Speaker 3: to me, I think you just look at the usage.
- 12:30Speaker 1: I think he's pointing you in the direction that, hey,
- 12:33Speaker 1: you know what.
- 12:34Speaker 3: I kind of feel like I'm a guy that threw
- 12:36Speaker 3: a lot more fastballs and cutters, and this year I've
- 12:41Speaker 3: been using my slider, my curveball a little bit more
- 12:44Speaker 3: than I usually do.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I get it.
- 12:45Speaker 3: I understand they're trying to make me the best, and
- 12:49Speaker 3: I understand that David Stearns is here leading this ship,
- 12:53Speaker 3: but it hasn't been working so good for him switching. Ultimately,
- 12:58Speaker 3: it's his, it's his career, as it is with anybody's.
- 13:02Speaker 3: But I just don't see the same dominant Freddy p
- 13:05Speaker 3: And I thought last year I thought he was taking
- 13:07Speaker 3: that next step to like be go from a number
- 13:11Speaker 3: one to possibly an ace if he would continue in
- 13:13Speaker 3: that direction, and he took a step back right now.
- 13:16Speaker 2: By the way, the strikeouts, ninety of strikeouts in one
- 13:18Speaker 2: hundred innings, that was a thing about Freddy Prolty. He
- 13:20Speaker 2: always has struck out more so that's that's that's the
- 13:24Speaker 2: biggest thing that I see when I look at that. So,
- 13:25Speaker 2: whether it's pitch usage, pitch selection, whatever it is, But
- 13:29Speaker 2: then what's his trade value? Is his trade value as
- 13:31Speaker 2: high if the Mets decide to go in this direction.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I mean there's teams out there that would love to
- 13:35Speaker 2: have Freddy Parolta. I mean there's a you could go
- 13:38Speaker 2: name a starting name, a contending team. They'd all love
- 13:41Speaker 2: to have a Freddie Perlty. Takes them all every fifth day.
- 13:43Speaker 2: They know that he can pitch in the postseason, they
- 13:45Speaker 2: know that he will well you think that he'll get better.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Maybe another change of scenery will clean it up. I mean,
- 13:50Speaker 2: there's a lot of things. I feel like that Freddy Parolta.
- 13:53Speaker 2: But will the Mets.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Make that move?
- 13:55Speaker 2: I don't know that I think they should because they're
- 13:57Speaker 2: not winning the division. Even if they get in the postseason,
- 13:59Speaker 2: they're not anywhere. I would I would think that David
- 14:02Speaker 2: Stearns would be willing to make that move. Or do
- 14:05Speaker 2: you try to sign him to an extension and say,
- 14:07Speaker 2: you know what, we'll give you five years to stay here.
- 14:09Speaker 3: No, No, I mean that's that's the thing David Stearns
- 14:12Speaker 3: has been staying away from is extensions. And I mean
- 14:16Speaker 3: he brought he brought in a guy he knows. So
- 14:19Speaker 3: I think this might have been the one person that
- 14:21Speaker 3: you're like, Okay, maybe they do give somebody seven years
- 14:24Speaker 3: a pitcher seven years, because they haven't been willing to
- 14:28Speaker 3: dip into anything longer than three years so far. So
- 14:31Speaker 3: but David Sterns knew him, so he's like, ah, maybe
- 14:33Speaker 3: it would have been But I don't think so. Now,
- 14:35Speaker 3: I don't think there's any way they can bring Freddie back,
- 14:38Speaker 3: and I think basically they're gonna trade him. Obviously I'm
- 14:42Speaker 3: not the insider, but it's either you get a first
- 14:46Speaker 3: round pick for him or because they're going to have
- 14:49Speaker 3: to give the qualifying offer, and if it continues to
- 14:51Speaker 3: go this way, he's not he may accept a qualifying offer.
- 14:55Speaker 3: I don't know, but they would get a first round pick,
- 14:57Speaker 3: so I think they'll get higher than what a first
- 15:00Speaker 3: round pick is valued at right now.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I just think some team that knows what's.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Going on understands that his usage is is not completely different,
- 15:09Speaker 3: but definitely skewed a little bit from where it was
- 15:12Speaker 3: the previous three years. I just think they're gonna find
- 15:15Speaker 3: value there. So I think the Mets will hold off
- 15:18Speaker 3: to the last possible second, but somebody's gonna come calling
- 15:21Speaker 3: with a with a nice little package. All right, real quick,
- 15:24Speaker 3: before we get to ken and discuss more trades and
- 15:26Speaker 3: everything happened in baseball, Luke Weaver traded or not?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Yes or no? Would they trade him? Yes or no? Yes? Okay,
- 15:33Speaker 1: what about Bashett Bobashitt? No, No, I don't think. I
- 15:38Speaker 1: don't think that.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I don't think they find the value for him in basically,
- 15:42Speaker 3: you just be dumping his contract. You know, the team
- 15:43Speaker 3: would have to know while I'm not locked in for
- 15:46Speaker 3: the rest of his contract, like I think there's I
- 15:49Speaker 3: think there's too much. I say no to Bobashett even
- 15:51Speaker 3: though he's hot since since June. But I just don't
- 15:55Speaker 3: think so.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Crouch.
- 15:56Speaker 2: You see this yesterday Mike Burrows against the Nationals four
- 15:58Speaker 2: and two thirds, ten runs, seven earned, two walks, three ks,
- 16:02Speaker 2: eighty three pitches, ninety to one point nine average exit velocity,
- 16:06Speaker 2: worst start of a brutal first half. It's fair to
- 16:08Speaker 2: wonder if he will get another one. His ERA is
- 16:10Speaker 2: five point ninety nine. Doesn't this sum up the Astros
- 16:13Speaker 2: though they just can't find enough starting pitching or pitching
- 16:17Speaker 2: in general. They've been scoring runs and heck, the Nationals
- 16:19Speaker 2: hit the over all the time, so I mean they
- 16:22Speaker 2: score runs in they give up a ton of runs.
- 16:24Speaker 2: But doesn't this kind of sum up the Astros need
- 16:26Speaker 2: for pitching and will Dana Brown go out and get
- 16:28Speaker 2: the pitching he needs because.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They're in it?
- 16:30Speaker 3: I think it sums up the route that Dana Brown
- 16:32Speaker 3: and this front office went and it didn't work out.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Burls had like one hundred innings last year with the Pirates.
- 16:39Speaker 3: He was a guy that was like a one to
- 16:41Speaker 3: one strikeouts per inning type of guy for the year.
- 16:45Speaker 3: And that's down. He's leading the league in losses. He's
- 16:49Speaker 3: given the most earned runs of any pitcher in the league.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I just think, I think if there's a move made,
- 16:55Speaker 3: I think it would have been made sooner had a
- 16:57Speaker 3: lot of the other moves not worked out. Am I
- 17:00Speaker 3: Hunter Brown's missed most of the season. Now he's back.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Spencer r Geddy like you, you saw Mike Burrows as
- 17:07Speaker 3: a guy that was like, Okay, this could be a
- 17:09Speaker 3: nice piece. Oh, I wonder if Ami is gonna do well,
- 17:12Speaker 3: And it just wasn't that solid rotation that Dana Brown
- 17:16Speaker 3: maybe had other years, and they just kind of hoped
- 17:19Speaker 3: on this rotation and Mike Burrows was part of that. True,
- 17:23Speaker 3: but they're only three out of the division.
- 17:25Speaker 1: By the way, how are they How do they continue
- 17:30Speaker 1: their guy? How they are they hit? Hunter Brown's got
- 17:35Speaker 1: to be their guy. That's a lot you can do it.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Book In summertime, it's cool in the morning, hot during
- 17:47Speaker 3: the day, cool again at night. Rarely am I sitting
- 17:50Speaker 3: there going, oh, I'm just gonna do one thing at
- 17:52Speaker 3: a time. I'm bouncing from work, I'm bouncing in the yard,
- 17:56Speaker 3: I'm running to a game. Fabletics has got me with price,
- 18:01Speaker 3: comfort and versatility, with all the gear that I'm getting
- 18:05Speaker 3: from them.

- 18:45Speaker 2: Jeff Passen, Connor Griffin tore A Tendron is left ring
- 18:48Speaker 2: Finger Sources tele ESPN Well Griffin could play through it.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It rehab is the likeliest option. We keep him out
- 18:53Speaker 2: at least a month. Pirates already have O'Neil, Cruz and
- 18:56Speaker 2: Spencer Horowitz on the IL. How big of a blow
- 18:59Speaker 2: is this for Pittsburgh Eric, I mean, he was playing well,
- 19:02Speaker 2: he was starting to figure it out. He was playing
- 19:03Speaker 2: really good shortstop and the play he made it on
- 19:05Speaker 2: was a really nice catch over his shoulder going back
- 19:08Speaker 2: against the Nationals. How big of a blow is this
- 19:11Speaker 2: for a Pittsburgh team that's trying to hang into the race.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Massive?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Massive, just because they need his offense, which he's learning,
- 19:20Speaker 3: he's starting to get, just have better at bats, make
- 19:23Speaker 3: better swing decisions.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But you can't lose a guy like this at shortstop.
- 19:28Speaker 3: So I get it that they don't want to say, yes,
- 19:33Speaker 3: you know, going to IL rehab for a whole month,
- 19:35Speaker 3: you already have two of your key pieces.
- 19:38Speaker 1: This is this is part of the issue.
- 19:39Speaker 3: I mean, very few teams can deal with their shortstop
- 19:42Speaker 3: going down, let alone the twenty year old future feenom shortstop.
- 19:47Speaker 3: But I know the Pirates also needed to think about
- 19:51Speaker 3: more than just this year, So I get it.
- 19:54Speaker 1: But if he can play through it, maybe it's something
- 19:57Speaker 1: that we push it for a little bit.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think they're gonna do that, though. I
- 20:03Speaker 2: think they're gonna take their time with because you know
- 20:05Speaker 2: how organizations are now, they're not they want to They're
- 20:08Speaker 2: thinking seven years from now. They're not thinking about this
- 20:11Speaker 2: year and how we might have a chances. Hey, let's
- 20:13Speaker 2: hope Connor this doesn't become arthritis seven years from now
- 20:16Speaker 2: in his ring finger because he's already married so he
- 20:18Speaker 2: doesn't have to worry about taking his wedding ring on
- 20:20Speaker 2: and off. Right, So I mean they're just like, oh,
- 20:22Speaker 2: that knuckles, if that knuckle swows up too big for
- 20:24Speaker 2: our threat, it's it'll be fine.
- 20:26Speaker 1: But in seven years they don't got Paul Skiing. Sorry,
- 20:29Speaker 1: they need it now, agreed.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Alright, Cratzy, Let's talk Blue Jays baseball right now. They
- 20:43Speaker 2: just got stomped over their last three games. They got
- 20:46Speaker 2: out score twenty five to one. They're not doing anything
- 20:49Speaker 2: very well. They're clearly not pitching well, they're clearly not
- 20:51Speaker 2: hitting well. Here it is bluebird territory. Outscore twenty five
- 20:55Speaker 2: to one their last three games. The Blue Jays are
- 20:58Speaker 2: forty two and forty nine. They're eleven and a half
- 21:00Speaker 2: games out of the AL East behind the Tampa Bay Rays,
- 21:03Speaker 2: and they are three and a half behind a bunch
- 21:06Speaker 2: of teams in the AL Wild Card.
- 21:08Speaker 1: How bad are the Blue Jays this year? What has happened?
- 21:10Speaker 2: Dylan Ceese is pitching well, and Ernie Clement's playing well
- 21:15Speaker 2: and Trey Savage, Yeah, okay, what happened to him? This
- 21:24Speaker 2: is exactly why analytics does not like building a team
- 21:28Speaker 2: like the Blue Jays. They created what they were last
- 21:31Speaker 2: year by not striking out, by putting the ball in
- 21:36Speaker 2: play and doing enough damage in big spots.
- 21:40Speaker 3: You know why else they why? The other reason they
- 21:43Speaker 3: were doing good George Springer was getting MVP votes. Addison
- 21:47Speaker 3: Barger came out of the minor leagues. People knew him,
- 21:51Speaker 3: but it was a guy that started in the minor leagues.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Nathan Lucas started, Ernie Clement wasn't starting to start the
- 21:57Speaker 3: year like guys stepped up up and they were having
- 22:02Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say career years because nobody can play
- 22:04Speaker 3: better than what they are.
- 22:07Speaker 1: But George Springer kind of.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Leading that offense last year, Vladdie having MVP type of
- 22:13Speaker 3: year like those are the things that they need to
- 22:16Speaker 3: have happen. The answers for this team are in their roster,
- 22:20Speaker 3: and it's exactly what Gosman said. Gosman said, we just
- 22:23Speaker 3: got to get back to consistency and fundamentals. John Schneider,
- 22:27Speaker 3: their manager, said, we have to start.
- 22:31Speaker 1: We have to.
- 22:31Speaker 3: We suck today playing in simple from start to finish. Offense, defense,
- 22:36Speaker 3: walks damage. Needs to get better and we will get better.
- 22:40Speaker 3: We're confident that we will. Well, you know what, the
- 22:43Speaker 3: American League has allowed you to stay in it. So
- 22:46Speaker 3: are they just not good enough? Because Vladdie's not having
- 22:49Speaker 3: MVP year even though he's an All Star right or wrong,
- 22:52Speaker 3: he's still an All Star. George is not having an
- 22:54Speaker 3: MVP type of year. So are there are they? Were
- 23:01Speaker 3: they a team that got lucky last year or were
- 23:05Speaker 3: they a good team that is about to get lucky
- 23:07Speaker 3: or about to get better this year?
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you can make the argument they just
- 23:14Speaker 2: got hot at the right time last year, right, and
- 23:16Speaker 2: had a lot of things to go. I mean, glad
- 23:17Speaker 2: he not hitting home for any power is definitely a
- 23:20Speaker 2: big thing. They lost bo and you can say whatever
- 23:23Speaker 2: you want about bo Okamoto is coming and been okay,
- 23:26Speaker 2: But the rest of the guys haven't been up to
- 23:27Speaker 2: what they were last year. Any Clements really the only
- 23:29Speaker 2: one that's been pretty good. Their pitching has been banged up.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Gosman hasn't been as good obviously, Beaver Scherzer have been down.
- 23:36Speaker 2: You Savage missed a bunch of time at the beginning
- 23:38Speaker 2: of the year. Barrios isn't there. The back end of
- 23:41Speaker 2: the bullpen Bleue a bunch of saves early. Now, Louis
- 23:43Speaker 2: Arlan stepped up. They lost Kirk Vealezuela did a nice
- 23:47Speaker 2: job for him for a while. They're just not the
- 23:49Speaker 2: same team. They don't have the same mojo. I hate
- 23:52Speaker 2: to say that, just you can't put that, you can't
- 23:55Speaker 2: analyze that, you can't put that into a number, right,
- 23:57Speaker 2: But they had a mojo last year. They figured something
- 23:59Speaker 2: out and they got hot, and everybody had career years.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Not everybody, but a lot of guys had good years
- 24:04Speaker 2: or great years. And this year they're not doing that.
- 24:06Speaker 2: And that's why they're not in the same position they
- 24:09Speaker 2: were in. And plus the Raids are playing much better.
- 24:12Speaker 2: The Yankees are playing fine. They're hanging in there until
- 24:14Speaker 2: they get their guys back. But the Blue Jays just
- 24:17Speaker 2: haven't done the same thing. They don't have the same mojo,
- 24:20Speaker 2: and analytics people are gonna hate that. But mojo is
- 24:22Speaker 2: a thing. There is a thing to players and teams
- 24:25Speaker 2: having a certain something about them where it just all
- 24:28Speaker 2: comes together and you get on an incredible run.
- 24:31Speaker 1: And again, they were this close from winning the World
- 24:33Speaker 1: Series last year. Is it too late for them?
- 24:35Speaker 2: Absolutely not, because it's the American League, right, and the
- 24:39Speaker 2: American League, as we have talked about over and over again,
- 24:41Speaker 2: isn't very good. So they can go on a run.
- 24:43Speaker 2: If they win eight Let's say they get to fifty
- 24:45Speaker 2: and forty nine. Guess what, they're right there for a wildcard?
- 24:48Speaker 2: That was it too late to win the division?
- 24:50Speaker 1: Possibly?
- 24:50Speaker 2: But if they get to fifty and they win the
- 24:52Speaker 2: next let's say they go on a ten game winning street,
- 24:54Speaker 2: which you could see the Blue Jay's doing. If lad
- 24:56Speaker 2: gets hot and they get hot, and all of a
- 24:58Speaker 2: sudden they're three games over five hundred, we're talking about
- 25:01Speaker 2: them like, man, what a turnaround, Josh Schneider manager of
- 25:03Speaker 2: the Year, right. But until that happens, it's tough to
- 25:07Speaker 2: talk about them. Instead we're talking about them possibly selling
- 25:11Speaker 2: and moving some guys, which I don't I don't think
- 25:13Speaker 2: the Blue Jays are gonna do. If anything, I think
- 25:14Speaker 2: they try to bring in a guy and get better.
- 25:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, based on their offseason, I would say
- 25:19Speaker 3: they're into making moves. They made a lot of moves
- 25:22Speaker 3: this offseason and it hasn't worked out. But you know,
- 25:26Speaker 3: you talk about mojo, and they came this close to
- 25:28Speaker 3: winning the World Series. They came this close to not
- 25:31Speaker 3: being in the World Series, like the Tigers, you know,
- 25:34Speaker 3: I mean, the Mariners. They should have they should have
- 25:37Speaker 3: beaten them in my opinion, but it's one of those
- 25:39Speaker 3: things that things in the playoffs went really well. But
- 25:42Speaker 3: I think they won ninety four games or ninety three
- 25:44Speaker 3: games last year, so it was it was a good
- 25:46Speaker 3: team that dominated the Yankees. I just don't see them
- 25:50Speaker 3: going into a series right now, or I haven't seen
- 25:53Speaker 3: them yet. And they could, like you said, they could
- 25:55Speaker 3: do it, but I haven't seen them this year go
- 25:57Speaker 3: into a series and say this is our series. We're
- 26:01Speaker 3: gonna take this series and then we're gonna go and
- 26:03Speaker 3: we're gonna take the next one. They just seem like
- 26:05Speaker 3: they really seem like they're suffering from the whole World
- 26:10Speaker 3: Series hangover. Maybe I don't know, but it's not too
- 26:13Speaker 3: late because the American League is just not good.
- 26:16Speaker 2: If they were in the National League, you could probably
- 26:18Speaker 2: put dirt on them. But being in the American League,
- 26:20Speaker 2: they have a chance and they could run into the
- 26:22Speaker 2: right teams and win a bunch of games and next
- 26:24Speaker 2: thing you know, we're talking about, Oh, what a great
- 26:26Speaker 2: turnaround for the Blue Jays.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Camp.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I've been looking for the best deals for the All
- 26:33Speaker 3: Star Game tickets in Philly.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Where are you gonna get some tickets from?
- 26:38Speaker 6: I'm going straight out to rife field. If Harper and
- 26:40Speaker 6: schwarbur both joined the home run derby, I want to
- 26:42Speaker 6: be catching the hometown guys hitting them, So I'm going
- 26:44Speaker 6: out to the right field kind of where I think
- 26:46Speaker 6: I could get the best chance of catching one of
- 26:47Speaker 6: those home runs.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Maybe in the second deck.
- 26:50Speaker 3: You can go on the app and you can look

- 27:27Speaker 3: and we'll see you at the game.
- 27:29Speaker 2: All right, Robert Murray, another FT insider, Ken will be
- 27:32Speaker 2: having a feud with him later. We're hearing plenty of
- 27:34Speaker 2: talk about Derek Scoogl, Freddie per Alter, Reed, Debtmers and
- 27:37Speaker 2: others in Rumor Mill over the next few weeks, but
- 27:39Speaker 2: one named to monitor. Foster Griffin TFA alumni used to
- 27:42Speaker 2: wear my shoes in high school. The Nationals left Handerwill
- 27:45Speaker 2: who has a two point eighty seven ERA and eighteen
- 27:47Speaker 2: starts this year. Foster Griffin name a lot of teams
- 27:50Speaker 2: with life, but the Nationals are alive. Crats, Well, the
- 27:53Speaker 2: Nationals really do this. They're alive, They're live, They're in
- 27:57Speaker 2: this thing. Foster Griffin has been great. He went over
- 27:59Speaker 2: to you for a few years and he's come back
- 28:02Speaker 2: and he's been really good for this team.
- 28:04Speaker 3: He's limited, he's limited, a lot of damage and his
- 28:07Speaker 3: striking for a guy that doesn't throw real hard. That
- 28:09Speaker 3: would be My only fear is that these analytical teams
- 28:13Speaker 3: would say, no, we don't want him so because he
- 28:16Speaker 3: doesn't throw very hard, but he eliminates He essentially eliminates
- 28:19Speaker 3: hard conduct. It's it's been impressive. But why why are
- 28:24Speaker 3: we even talking about Dustin May? Why are we talking
- 28:26Speaker 3: about Foster Griffin? Those teams are in it, Like, if
- 28:29Speaker 3: you want to talk about somebody, the Blue Jays should
- 28:31Speaker 3: trade Dylan Cees like teams that are more out of
- 28:35Speaker 3: it than these two teams.
- 28:36Speaker 1: I get it. I get it.
- 28:37Speaker 3: They're rebuilding and nobody wants to lose their job because
- 28:40Speaker 3: they traded Foster Griffin.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But he's had a great year. Yes, yes, he's listen.
- 28:48Speaker 2: This is one of those cases where he went over
- 28:49Speaker 2: to Japan. He was a first round pick out of
- 28:51Speaker 2: high school, went over to Japan, had some injury battles. Actually,
- 28:55Speaker 2: I think he got a Tommy John before he ever
- 28:57Speaker 2: made his big league debut, and then he went over
- 28:59Speaker 2: to and figured it out and came back and he's
- 29:01Speaker 2: learned some It's Miles michaelis right.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Went over to Japan or Korea.
- 29:05Speaker 2: They go over to the Far East and they have
- 29:07Speaker 2: to figure out how to pitch a different way than
- 29:08Speaker 2: what they've been taught, and then they come back and
- 29:10Speaker 2: they're successful. It's a great story for Foster Griffin.
- 29:15Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Jason do Mingez the Martian denied an ABS challenge because
- 29:18Speaker 2: the umpire wasn't looking when he tapped his helmet. I mean,
- 29:22Speaker 2: we've seen all kinds of ridiculousness with this ABS stuff.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Kratz I like ABS in general. But umpire blinks and
- 29:29Speaker 2: he misses the guy going like this. We got guys
- 29:31Speaker 2: getting ejected for fake tapping their helmet. We get guys
- 29:35Speaker 2: doing I mean, come on, umpires, be better. Just ask
- 29:38Speaker 2: your buddy. Hey, mister umpire at first base, did you
- 29:41Speaker 2: see him do this? Yes, okay, then that's challenged.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Not Oh no, I didn't see it, So come on,
- 29:46Speaker 1: let's be better.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Stuff comes up. Obviously when this first happened, they're like, oh,
- 29:51Speaker 3: what's next. We're gonna go all robo umps, completely against
- 29:54Speaker 3: robo umps. But when a situation like this, you still
- 29:57Speaker 3: see that they're human. But where were the other guys?
- 30:00Speaker 3: You got three other guys on the crew. It's not
- 30:02Speaker 3: like high school baseball where the guy down at second
- 30:05Speaker 3: base is looking in the crowd at like whatever the
- 30:09Speaker 3: umpires look at in the crowd when they're not watching
- 30:12Speaker 3: the game.
- 30:12Speaker 1: But like, I get it, I get it.
- 30:14Speaker 3: He missed it, he missed it, he did it quick,
- 30:17Speaker 3: somebody one of the other umpires. They see everything, according
- 30:21Speaker 3: to them. Why couldn't they have just said, hey, I
- 30:24Speaker 3: did see him get it that in in time.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Because then they they might prove one of their buddies
- 30:29Speaker 2: didn't do the right thing. Krutz And we all know
- 30:31Speaker 2: how umpires are and real I know, I agree, I
- 30:37Speaker 2: agree it should be let's get it. Really, it's the
- 30:39Speaker 2: same thing as I don't know if you watch the
- 30:42Speaker 2: Braves Mets Friday night, there was a ball that was
- 30:44Speaker 2: hit that was clearly fair down the left field line.
- 30:47Speaker 2: And we don't have a camera that MLB can put down,
- 30:51Speaker 2: and you can't replay balls fair and foul balls between
- 30:56Speaker 2: the lines or between the bases or whatever it is,
- 30:59Speaker 2: because they don't know where to place the runners or
- 31:01Speaker 2: come on, like if the ball sit down the left
- 31:03Speaker 2: field line, it's a double. Do you have the guy
- 31:05Speaker 2: two bases and move? But it was clearly the umpire
- 31:08Speaker 2: said the ball went the I think a right handed
- 31:11Speaker 2: hit or hit it. The ball went around the base
- 31:14Speaker 2: and then landed back on the chalk. I'm like, wait, what,
- 31:16Speaker 2: I never heard that. So anyways, there's a lot of
- 31:18Speaker 2: things that with uh yeah, exactly exactly exactly, I don't know.
- 31:24Speaker 2: And it was a ground ball, it wasn't it hit
- 31:26Speaker 2: hit And then he said it bounced around the base.
- 31:28Speaker 2: But then you could clearly see the ball behind the
- 31:30Speaker 2: base hit right on the line. So unless there's a
- 31:33Speaker 2: weird matrix airbender thing that's happening in mid air, I
- 31:37Speaker 2: don't know how it did it either, but I hit
- 31:42Speaker 2: a ball like found near them that end up fair.
- 31:46Speaker 2: But I didn't see the play. We got to be
- 31:48Speaker 2: able to get it right. Come on, we got so
- 31:49Speaker 2: much technology.
- 31:52Speaker 1: All right, we're back. We're back.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I don't know what to say because I was supposed
- 31:55Speaker 2: to apparently say what we said in the break right now,
- 31:58Speaker 2: so I guess I'm supposed to repeat it. I guess
- 32:00Speaker 2: I'm Ron Burgundy because the producer lady put that in
- 32:02Speaker 2: the teleprompter for me. So, uh yeah, Okay, we're gonna
- 32:06Speaker 2: hear from Jeff Potts about Louis Laura, what to expect
- 32:09Speaker 2: for the Brewers, fans with Luis Laura in his contract
- 32:12Speaker 2: getting called up, and they're down to nothing right now
- 32:15Speaker 2: to the Cardinals as the miss's gun taken de from
- 32:18Speaker 2: George Walker.
- 32:18Speaker 1: But uh yeah, oops.
- 32:21Speaker 7: The Brewers called up their number four prospect, Luise Laura
- 32:24Speaker 7: to the major leagues for the first time on Tuesday.
- 32:28Speaker 7: The switch hitting outfielder inked a seven year, thirty one
- 32:31Speaker 7: million dollar contract earlier in the month of June, and
- 32:34Speaker 7: his fueled speculation of a potential call up over the
- 32:37Speaker 7: last thirty plus days. Well Brewers fans. Luis Laura is here,
- 32:41Speaker 7: and after an outstanding run with TRIPAA Nashville, where Laura
- 32:44Speaker 7: hit three twenty one, four thirty two, four seventy with
- 32:48Speaker 7: nine home runs and twenty four stolen bases, he's set
- 32:52Speaker 7: to join a very talented Brewers outfield group. Laura has
- 32:56Speaker 7: always garnered praise for his plus plus defense in center field,
- 33:00Speaker 7: plus plus running ability an advanced hit tool, but with
- 33:03Speaker 7: nine home runs in twenty twenty six, Laura has nearly
- 33:06Speaker 7: eclipsed his career total entering the season of ten home runs.
- 33:11Speaker 7: With the added power, Laura is now looking like a
- 33:13Speaker 7: more well rounded hitter. While he'll never be a slugger,
- 33:16Speaker 7: he does provide more impact and presents a dangerous opponent
- 33:20Speaker 7: for opposing pitching. With a plus hit tool, plus plus speed,
- 33:25Speaker 7: and plus plus defense in center field, Laura has the
- 33:28Speaker 7: ability to impact the game in a variety of ways,
- 33:31Speaker 7: almost immediately for the Brewers, and the team showed their
- 33:34Speaker 7: face by inking Laura to a thirty one million dollar
- 33:37Speaker 7: expenditure earlier this summer. Laura's here.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Let's see what happens, all right, Tim heally our friend.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Red Sox activated Patrick Sandoval. Yes, that Patrick Sandoval from
- 33:47Speaker 2: the sixty day il. He has lined up to pitch
- 33:49Speaker 2: in the second half of this week. I don't know
- 33:51Speaker 2: what that means, whether that's Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, for whatever.
- 33:54Speaker 2: He's pitching this week. Kratz his first game in the
- 33:56Speaker 2: majors in more than two years. Alet Gamboa was optioned
- 34:00Speaker 2: a Worchester. I know it's Worcester, but there's an R
- 34:02Speaker 2: and a C and all kinds of letters in that
- 34:04Speaker 2: that they don't they don't accentuate. Jack Anderson was designated
- 34:08Speaker 2: for assignment. Patrick Sandoval. Does he help the Red Sox?
- 34:10Speaker 2: Do we know what we're gonna get from him? Listen
- 34:12Speaker 2: they're last place, they're only a half game behind the Orioles.
- 34:16Speaker 2: In the Blue Jays, they're twelve games behind the Rays,
- 34:18Speaker 2: but they're kind of in the wild card race.
- 34:20Speaker 1: So was Patrick Sandoval plus for them?
- 34:23Speaker 3: I mean, you hope he's a plus or you're not
- 34:26Speaker 3: not making all these moves. Obviously, this isn't really about
- 34:29Speaker 3: Patrick Sandoval's like how he does. He's back, he's back
- 34:33Speaker 3: in the big leagues. At some point, he'll be back
- 34:35Speaker 3: in the big leagues this week. It's kind of odd.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I'm not sure why you would make a pitching move
- 34:41Speaker 3: with two guys because maybe his rehab assignment was over.
- 34:44Speaker 3: I'm not one hundred percent sure, But if he's not
- 34:47Speaker 3: gonna start, don't you wait to put him on the
- 34:49Speaker 3: roster until the day he's actually starting. But you know what,
- 34:52Speaker 3: the front office they know more than me. Yes, they
- 34:55Speaker 3: need him. Ranger left his last start. They have no
- 34:58Speaker 3: Garret Crochet. Sonny Gray is most likely going to be gone.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Like this is an important two weeks for the Red
- 35:05Speaker 3: Sox if they truly think they're, as Aj said, fool's
- 35:08Speaker 3: gold or if their actual gold will be determined in
- 35:12Speaker 3: the next two weeks and Patrick Sandoval is going to
- 35:14Speaker 3: get these starts, so he's part of it. So, yes,
- 35:17Speaker 3: he's huge.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Ye what day though, why don't we just come out
- 35:20Speaker 2: and say he's starting Friday or so sometime at the
- 35:23Speaker 2: end of the week.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I mean, that's why put him on the roster.
- 35:26Speaker 2: That doesn't make sense. Why wait, I know, but they're
- 35:29Speaker 2: playing the White Sox, so they're probably gonna get swept
- 35:31Speaker 2: just saying at home on the road.
- 35:34Speaker 1: So it could be. It could be. This could be
- 35:35Speaker 1: the dagger for the Red Sox. This could be cell.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Time after the White Sox get done, because you know
- 35:40Speaker 2: Teal's back. Murakami's ninety nine percent healthy, even though he's
- 35:44Speaker 2: got to go on a rehab assignment. Could be a
- 35:47Speaker 2: could be a trade could be a trade piece then,
- 35:49Speaker 2: I mean, if you look at Patrick Sandoval, any any
- 35:52Speaker 2: pitcher on an expiring contract. This is the second year
- 35:55Speaker 2: of his two year deal that he signed with the
- 35:57Speaker 2: Red Sox. Possibly he throws three it starts. Maybe he's
- 36:01Speaker 2: a trade piece, all right. Cam Schlitzler didn't hold back
- 36:15Speaker 2: about when asked about bouncing back from his last start.
- 36:18Speaker 2: They want to say there's bleeping regression because I have
- 36:22Speaker 2: had one bad outing. So again, it was personal to
- 36:25Speaker 2: go out there and have a dominant start and put
- 36:27Speaker 2: this team in the right position. Also against the Rays,
- 36:30Speaker 2: I might add, who's the team there behind? And whatever
- 36:33Speaker 2: gets you motivated. Listen, if it's some if it's Jared
- 36:36Speaker 2: Carrabas saying that you regress because you had one bad start,
- 36:39Speaker 2: then you know what Cam Schlittler good for you? Is
- 36:42Speaker 2: someone that played put their hair on fire and looked
- 36:44Speaker 2: for any opportunity to get pissed off and play like that.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Good for you, Cam Schlitzler, because now baseball is dead.
- 36:52Speaker 2: And Jared Caravas they got some to put on their website.
- 36:55Speaker 2: So way to go Jared, Way to go Cam. And
- 36:58Speaker 2: you know what, I love this kind of Stuff's have
- 37:00Speaker 2: a little trash talking in baseball.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Bring it back the more more barking. Is that what
- 37:05Speaker 3: you're looking for? Aj more barks. I mean you said
- 37:08Speaker 3: it a long time ago. You had to you had
- 37:11Speaker 3: to play with that edge. And if that's what makes
- 37:14Speaker 3: Cam Schlittler great, that's what makes Cam Schlittler the starting
- 37:18Speaker 3: pitcher for the American League in the All Star Game,
- 37:21Speaker 3: then you know what, let's start fire. Now some tweets
- 37:25Speaker 3: that he can see clearly he was listening. Clearly that
- 37:29Speaker 3: motivated him, or maybe his last two starts he actually
- 37:32Speaker 3: didn't pitch bad. And Jerry Crobbas was just being sarcastic,
- 37:36Speaker 3: and you know what he kind of you know, he
- 37:40Speaker 3: used it whether if that's what you need, you know what,
- 37:44Speaker 3: that's what you need. Not everybody plays that game. Some
- 37:46Speaker 3: people read that stuff and they get deeper into a hole.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Cam's like, no, no, I bring it on.
- 37:52Speaker 1: I want it.
- 37:52Speaker 3: He wanted to smoke in the in the playoffs last
- 37:55Speaker 3: year too, and he's shown up every time.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Listen.
- 37:58Speaker 2: I played Golf Day with Oz again and he had
- 38:01Speaker 2: a great quote and he said he was talking about
- 38:05Speaker 2: handling different players and having players it or this and that.
- 38:08Speaker 2: He said, you know what, there was one thing about you,
- 38:09Speaker 2: and he was talking about me that I always knew
- 38:11Speaker 2: if I went to you and he would always do
- 38:13Speaker 2: this and he would challenge me and he would say
- 38:15Speaker 2: you suck or you're not doing this right. He's like,
- 38:18Speaker 2: I knew that you would bust your ass to prove
- 38:21Speaker 2: me wrong, no matter what it was like, if it
- 38:23Speaker 2: was whatever it was, I was like, screw you, I
- 38:26Speaker 2: am going to prove you wrong. And it is going
- 38:28Speaker 2: to take all my being to prove you wrong. And
- 38:30Speaker 2: that's what that's what Camp. If that's what Cam Schlittler needs,
- 38:33Speaker 2: then hey, I'm all for it. If that's what Dalton
- 38:35Speaker 2: Rushing of the Dodgers needs, Hey, Dalton, if that's what
- 38:38Speaker 2: it takes for you to get a walk off hit
- 38:40Speaker 2: against Colorado is to get in the guy's face who
- 38:43Speaker 2: ties the game, You be you, Dalton. This world is
- 38:46Speaker 2: full of people that are different. Whatever it takes to
- 38:49Speaker 2: get yourself motivated and be a good Major League baseball player,
- 38:51Speaker 2: I am here for it.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Just as long as that stuff doesn't get in the way.
- 38:56Speaker 3: That's the biggest that's the biggest thing for people who
- 38:58Speaker 3: don't agree with Cam reading what Jared Carabas is saying,
- 39:03Speaker 3: or Dalton chirping at everybody or mouthing different things and
- 39:07Speaker 3: like playing it a certain way. If it gets in
- 39:10Speaker 3: the way, then people are gonna be the first. Oh,
- 39:12Speaker 3: then then all we gotta jump on top. We gotta
- 39:14Speaker 3: jump on this guy. You know, no way he's he's
- 39:17Speaker 3: doing that. You know what, he's successful. Cam's successful. Play
- 39:23Speaker 3: with that edge, and you know what, have the best
- 39:26Speaker 3: career you.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Can have agreed, agreed all right.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Uh, I don't know. I don't know what else. But
- 39:33Speaker 2: by the way, cratch hats today. I can't believe you'd
- 39:35Speaker 2: wear a USA hat after that embarrassing showing last night.
- 39:38Speaker 1: But let's see your USA hat. Well.
- 39:41Speaker 3: You you bullied me into not saying that I was
- 39:45Speaker 3: betting on Belgium. So I feel American wearing the hat
- 39:48Speaker 3: and having and having my Belgium money because I didn't
- 39:52Speaker 3: see them advancing pasted. Okay, so you're a trader, so
- 39:56Speaker 3: you're officially That's why I'm wearing your hat, your Benedict's,
- 40:01Speaker 3: your Benedict Crafts from now on because you you sold it.
- 40:04Speaker 3: You sold your country out and everyone behind you for money.
- 40:08Speaker 3: You're judas I saw the last Supper. You're judas in
- 40:11Speaker 3: the picture. You sold out your buddy, your country for
- 40:14Speaker 3: a few silver shackles. But you've come up to Philly,
- 40:17Speaker 3: when you come up to God's country. Now I can
- 40:20Speaker 3: pay for your burger that you've been pining for each
- 40:22Speaker 3: one of our guests except for Mike Rizzo to buy you.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Now I can get you your burger and he'll be
- 40:27Speaker 3: from mac as you say, MacDonald's from MacDonald's.
- 40:30Speaker 2: I played with a guy named what was his name,
- 40:34Speaker 2: John McDonald? No, no, no, he was no there. Oh my gosh,
- 40:38Speaker 2: I just blanked Adrian.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 40:42Speaker 2: But I played with him in the minor leagues and
- 40:44Speaker 2: we were in I don't know, bum fuck somewhere.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Oops.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Sorry, we were in bf E and uh it was
- 40:51Speaker 2: Easter Sunday and he you know, this is when we
- 40:54Speaker 2: made ten dollars a day for meal money. And he said,
- 40:56Speaker 2: it's Easter Sunday and all that we can afford is
- 40:59Speaker 2: MacDonald donald's. And so it's always McDonald's to me. It's
- 41:03Speaker 2: always it's always McDonald's for me until the end of time. Gosh,
- 41:08Speaker 2: Adrian Gordon, gosh what was his name? He's outfit or
- 41:11Speaker 2: he could hit a little bit, but he went.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Anyways, meal money went. Meal money went up to twenty
- 41:17Speaker 3: five dollars a day at one point. Wow, could almost
- 41:21Speaker 3: tip a klubby off that. Uh well, thanks, thanks, Kratz.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Players only hot sheets coming on next. You can hear
- 41:26Speaker 3: all about the prospects coming up.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Drafts here almost here, and yes, Skratz, I will hold
- 41:31Speaker 2: you to that. You're gonna buy me a burger at
- 41:32Speaker 2: McDonald's when I get to Philadelphia next week.
