[upbeat rock music] Welcome, radio listener.
0:19
It's Full Spectrum Cycling, show number 243. I think I, I think I did that one time before, Tony. I pushed the record button thinking it was the music and then never turned it on again.
0:31
[laughs] That's why you got an extra pair of eyes watching you. That's why we got... And I even have this on the microphone thing here, just, "Recording in progress," to remind me to turn the thing on.
0:40
[exhales] Yeah, there goes Matt. All right, all right. Uh, well, it was warm. Oh, gorgeous. I had, I had the little engine cycle out today. Did ya? Did ya? Today, yesterday, two days ago, internet time warp.
0:54
[laughs] Tuesday, that is. Yeah, 'cause Wednesday's horrid. It's even, it's, well, 73 degrees I saw. I don't know if it got warmer than that somewhere else in the area.
1:04
Yeah But by cracky, it was warm out there in February. That's a high. February. It's definitely high for the date. I think that was definitely a record. And then the 50-degree dip. Shift. Yeah, it's gonna be 22 tomorrow.
1:16
Mm-hmm. Uh-huh. No, yesterday. Yesterday. Or whatever. I think it's still colder out today than it was Tuesday. Yeah. It's gonna- I don't know if this internet time, that's kinda goofing with me I know, but- [laughs]...
1:26
you'll get used to it I can say last weekend- Yeah, you can say that... doesn't matter whether it's Tuesday or Thursday. Right. Last weekend, uh, we had that Flat Out Friday and Mama Tried weekend. Mm-hmm. Oh, yeah.
1:39
Yeah. Mm-hmm. Did, did you guy- did either of you run into any, like, fallout or, you know, shrapnel from the show at any place you went? No. No. 'Cause there was parties all over the town.
1:51
It was the- I- It, it's quite the, it's quite the thing that... Okay, the actual event at Fiserv is great. Not sure I'd go again.
2:05
Maybe a few years, unless I was down on the floor in the thick of the action, having fun and either racing or helping someone race or doing photographs or something. Yeah. Um, sitting up in the stands was fine.
2:18
My buddy Frank had a free ticket, so I'm like, "Awesome, I'll go just about anywhere for free." Yeah, for free. Um- How did it smell? Is it two stroke everywhere? Not all, but some. Okay. It's, it's cool.
2:28
It smells like motors running. Okay. Or engines, in this case. Engines, no motors. There were some motors, too. There were some electric- Nice, nice... kids bikes and some other stuff going on.
2:37
Uh, beer though, so I thought, "Well, Frank got me that free ticket, I'll buy him a beer here at Fiserv." 12 bucks. 16 ounce. [laughs] Happy place. Okay. Smell Your Face, whatever their beer's called.
2:50
Yeah, I, I like it, I like it. Uh, 15 a can. Holy shit. Plus tax, plus tip. $37 for two beers. Come on. That was- No, I'm not going. I'm not going for that. I mean- I, I, I agree [laughs]...
3:05
that's just, that's just so wrong. Way better to pre-game, I would say. That is so, so freaking wrong. I looked at the economy of it and I was like, "You know what?
3:13
I'm gonna order the c- the wine," 'cause they had a Cabernet, "and while he pours, talk to him and distract him so the count's off." [laughs] So- So they don't have the auto pour? No, exactly. Was, and this is at Fiserv?
3:29
Yeah. Okay. I figured roll the dice with that. Yeah. Because- Well... I think all the, I don't know. I, um, for 15- That's disturbing... yeah. It's just, I- That's disturbingly expensive. I mean- It-... that's gouging.
3:40
Well, it w- what was it? 12 for- I kinda feel like it's just not making it... Busch Light? [laughs] Yeah, it was 12 for Busch Light. [laughs] Right. I mean, that, that is- And I saw a lot of fucking Busch Lights.
3:47
Oh, I couldn't believe it...
3:47
that is also, I mean, I think there was a, and, and I'm not gonna get into, I, I don't watch golf anymore, but, like, two years ago, uh, for a whole lot of reasons, but two years ago there was like, one of the golfers called out, like, how much Busch was,
4:01
you know, like, $20 a can. And he's like, "You're seriously charging our spectators $20 a can?" And you're seriously making a million and a half to play in this tournament, so- I, you know, right.
4:11
But, but- Where's that come from? Comes from $20 [laughs] freaking Bud Lights. And lots of other things, but, you know, yeah. Yeah.
4:17
But still, I mean, it's, there, there's, there's making that money, but then there's also, we have them here, they're thirsty. Fuck it, 20 bucks a bottle, you know, can. Yeah. It's like, Jesus. Yeah.
4:28
You know, in a little- But whatever... in a lot some- I'm, I'm off my soapbox now. Yeah. And a lot's on the consumer who does end up- Mm-hmm...
4:34
paying the 20 bucks for the Busch, which I, I, I'm judging every time I see that in a paw, either there or at the Rave or something like that. Oh. I'm like, "You electively paid for that." Yeah. Yeah, that's true.
4:45
Where you could have one more dollar and had a beer that tastes like a beer. You know where had good beer for inexpensive was the pre-party at Fuel Cafe. Ah. I believe War Pig, which is an awesome
4:56
beer, the, uh, Foggy Geezer- Yeah... was, like, six bucks for a pint. That's fair. Right? That's really fair. And Robits was there. Robits. Mm-hmm. The other Corey band that I hadn't seen before. Moshie.
5:07
And, uh, they actually had mosh pitting going on. Moshie? I was- Yeah... like, pleasantly surprised because the band is more raucous than the, uh, Future Plan band- Yeah, yeah... that we saw before.
5:18
And it was perfect for the event and the venue and the people that were in there. It went off real well and I don't think young folks know what mosh pitting's all about though. No.
5:27
There seemed to be some little more aggressive than necessary mosh pitting. Probably seen it in, oh, gotcha. Some, yeah. It's, it's, yeah. There was a pit- Egg roll...
5:36
trying to, trying to get going, uh, for the, uh, Poison Hand after party at, uh, Cooperage. Oh, were you there? Yeah. Did you see Brita getting her tattoo up on stage? No, I saw her in the crowd, but then- [laughs]...
5:47
it didn't surprise me she was gonna get inked up there. Yeah. I was trying to figure out what they were doing up there and then I'm like, "Oh, I get it." Live, live tattooing- Yeah... during the show.
5:54
Yeah, so on stage were the tattoo artists- What could go wrong?... and the band was on the floor. Yeah. What could go wrong- Which was awesome...
6:00
with lots of vibrations and someone holding a needle to your leg or other parts? Z- For me, it's like- So you, you, uh, where did you win tickets to, the f- the Flat Out Friday? Yeah, yeah.
6:10
I, so I did not run into you then. No, did not. [laughs] I don't know where you were at. No, it was, it was like a effort just to get our asses there, and then hung out for a drink [laughs] and a little while.
6:24
And it was fun. But it was one of those like w- if we would've stuck around, would've probably had another $30 purchase of beverages- Right on, right... and go.
6:34
You know, it's like, "Oh, let's just get out of here and go," and... So, you know, it's usually the Milwaukee minute or five. Right. It's like seven now. Yeah. I got a, I got two other things, though.
6:43
A, some clown scraped my van parking and it irritates me 'cause he scratched my bumper. Oh, fuck. Yeah. Clown. I s- You should've seen the parking job. There was like two inches in the back, two inches in the front.
6:53
Somehow it, by scraping my bumper, he yeeked this car in there, and I really thought seriously about just backing right into it, but- Right... that would do my bumper harm and I'm not that way. But- [laughs] Right...
7:03
it's really, it's a plastic bumper That's what bumpers were for, for bumping. Yeah, but not for scratching. It's not a scratcher, it's a bumper. What year, what year is that thing? You got some ma- 24- 2014.
7:12
So same as my Fiat. It's not, it's only got a buck and a quarter on it. It's got another 10 years to go. I got 105 on the Fiat already.
7:20
I never, I don't think I ever bought a, a Grand Caravan, I've had several 'cause they're so great for carrying bikes, uh, with less than 200 when I bought it.
7:28
This one I bought brand new, and I will drive it until it falls off the road hopefully. [laughs] Speak, speak of that, um, Sam, Strongman Sam, back from birthday, and happy belated birthday, Sam. Yeah.
7:41
Uh, even though you don't listen to the show 'cause you're a jackass. Oh. Oh, sorry, I'm trying to be nice to him this year. Anyway, he's looking... Have you seen the Nissan, like, I think it's a
7:54
13-passenger van or 11-passenger van that has the, the V8. You can get it four-wheel drive, I guess. I have not. I have to look into this. And all the seats come out.
8:06
He's like, "I could literally not have to pull a trailer ever again in my life." [laughs] Seats coming out is one thing. Seats going into the floor and disappearing's- I agree... another.
8:15
Yeah, but he was hoping to fit all his toys in. He can't quite fit his motorcycle. The big... Yeah, his motorcycle is huge. Unless he gets a, unless he gets the tall. Yeah, that's a biggun'. But yeah, what a...
8:26
Y- you, you should look up this thing. It's a- Speaking of motorcycles. Vroom. Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba. Uh, there's a, it's a pretty seriously cool-looking vehicle. You know, it's a big Nissan van.
8:37
Excellent. Anyway, there. Uh, one more Milwaukee thing. How 'bout that bench at Uptowner? It is there. Oh, you have, [laughs] you have stuff too, I guess. [laughs] Uh, boy, it's an i- it's an interesting bench.
8:48
It's, I think, Tom Wilson's swan song here in Milwaukee before he goes to Italy- Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah... to be an expat forever, and said we can come over and darken his doorstep. Nice. Like, [sings] I'll go there.
8:59
So it's- Italy'd be fun to visit for sure... go there. He said gonna be in Northern Italy, kinda Switzerland, Spain. Jump on the- Portugal... jump on the Vespa. [imitates Vespa] Ciao. Or the train. Ciao, bella. Ciao.
9:10
Ciao, bella. [imitates Vespa] So yeah, I, I, I'll have a picture- We should get Damian on the show, speaking of ciao, bella... Damian Skardina? Yeah. I don't see why not. Right?
9:20
Uh, we have, uh, I don't know who we have lined up next week yet. Big Sexy maybe today, maybe not. I don't know. We got a new job. Hopefully he'll call in.
9:27
Next week, don't know, but the second Tuesday, the 12th or whatever that is, of March will be Mr. Steve Booth is gonna join us in the booth. Beef Stooth? Beeble- Beeble Bobble's- [laughs]...
9:40
Blittle Plab, whatever his [laughs] Facebook... He's not Beef Stooth anymore. He's like- Yeah... Bibble Bobble whatever, whatever.
9:48
Uh, someone who's a very, you know, daily type bike rider type, and also awesome artist of the block printing variety. Hmm. Yeah, I know the, uh, the Michael Neubauer that we had on a while ago- Yeah...
10:04
uh, show 177, he... The one who did RAGBRAI. Oh. Oh, right, right, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. We should get him back on. Yeah. He's the- Fun dude. Yeah. He's been in and out of country. Oh, nice.
10:18
That'd be great to get an update from him. I love people who travel. Yeah. Comes across my radar on occasion, but I'll- J- Joshua's... Where the fuck is Joshua? Did you see that post? He's like in- No. I don't-...
10:28
Nepal or something... commuting with the waters. I don't understa- Facebook shows me, like, you guys and a couple other people, and never 898 of the other friends I have for some reason.
10:38
We, we just, I just missed his birthday, but yeah. Well, I mean, I didn't miss, I gave him a birthday wish and shit, but- [laughs]... yeah, he's, he's somewhere really cool. All right. Because he's Joshua.
10:49
Moving, moving out of Milwaukee and- Moving out... and into the shop. [laughs] Right here. Yeah. I had a very nice conversation today with Brandon at Omnium Cargo US.
11:01
We are going to be, or are on our way to being an Omnium cargo bike dealer. You need to look at that site and see how awesome these Omniums are. Put it in the show notes. They sound expensive.
11:14
They're not too bad, actually. [exhales] Geez. I think they're, they're- This is Greg's "not too bad". Well, they're affordable- Spends not too bad... versus some of the really ridiculous stuff out there.
11:24
Um, a fully equipped Elphine, Elphine, Elpha, Shamano, Flamano, Elphine 8 belt drive, very well-equipped, nice tires, nice rims, you know, not crappy shit, three grand. Not dreadful. I'm guessing it's hub drive.
11:43
It's not electric yet. Oh, [laughs] fuck that. [laughs] Sorry. It's cool.
11:49
Uh, it, the, the electrics are about 55, which is cheaper than a lot of other ones out there, and I think it's, I think they're competitive with the market of good stuff. I was relating to him how ma- [laughs] smoosh.
12:02
How many, um, crap bikes we've had in the shop of people that buy junk and then- Yeah, absolutely... they can't put it together, and it comes here, and we're like- This sucks...
12:12
I feel real bad about giving this back to a mom with two kids in it. Y- there's one that has a bar across... the front with a, with two wheels, so it's a trike kind of an arrangement.
12:23
But it is the most ill-handling thing- Oh, I remember that. Yeah. That's, that's a hard one... and I just feel bad for those people getting such junk. Well, hopefully they're only going, like, six miles an hour.
12:33
Well- Speaking of feeling bad, did you see the Mr. Adler ride? Is that like a- Elliptigo... Ellip- yeah. [laughs] But it's not as weird as the ones I've seen before. No, it's, uh, that- But it's weird enough looking...
12:47
that looks like, um- Whoa... it's much closer coupled. You know? Yeah. It's not like it's... Well, the one- I've seen the ones where they're actually almost like- Yeah... a ski thingy. Right. I don't know.
12:57
It's kinda weird. That's painful looking. I'm not sure I like that idea. I d- no. None. It... I mean, basically you could just never sit down. Yeah. Well, now also- Yeah. Yeah... for- What's the point?
13:07
What about putting a motor on there? Wouldn't that be cool? [laughs] No. No, that'd be terrible. [laughs] That is hell music. 'Cause you know what you wanna do sometimes when you got a motor? Sit down. Yeah. You know?
13:17
Yeah. Hey, can we do this? [bell rings] We can do that. I'm almost ready for a beer anyway, so, uh- That's why I did it... why don't you reach in the thingy and, uh, grab... Well, these are- Oh... the pre-beer beer.
13:29
Yeah, the... Oh, so these are not the show beer. Well, they're show beer f- because it was a, a multi-pack, but the exclusive- Dun, dun, dun... um, the exclusive beer is, uh, a Deschutes. It's Skees.
13:43
What the hell is it called? [laughs] These were Mountain Time. These were the, uh, Fluffer beer with the- A quotation... four- IPA... the 4.4%, um- Whoa...
13:53
these are, yeah, these are an exclusive, and they came from Otto's, so they should be, uh, they're good 'til June of '24, not- [laughs]... not October of '23 like that Furious sitting right there.
14:06
[laughs] Mount, Mount Furious. [laughs] Thanks to the people at, uh, Discount Liquor, we got out-of-date beer.
14:14
All right, I don't know if I should open the door and go ahead and get some towels out for Tony to open his beer. I'm letting you open my beer. Look at that. See? Oh, here. Here's my beer. Oh, thank you.
14:24
Thanks for opening my beer, Greg. All right, I opened his beer. From here on in, I'm not opening my own beers in this room. [laughs] [laughs] 'Cause it's cursed. It's cursed, I tell you.
14:32
Well, I could see maybe that's why that Furious- I'll just leave it... because it's seven months old, you know, spilled all over the floor. At least it was outside on a concrete floor. Right.
14:40
[laughs] Not inside in our fancy-ass carpeting we got here on the floor in this room. Right. Again. [laughs] Again. Again. It doesn't smell like beer in here yet, though, does it, on the floor?
14:50
[laughs] Um- There was a great, uh, Puddles Pity Party song on WMSC on Tuesday if you were listening, JK, for, speaking of, uh, smells, because he uses Febreze in a song. Oh. No, I missed that.
15:07
Which, it was pretty freaking awesome. All right. So I'm trying to pull this out. So, uh, Koozie shout-out to- Yep... uh, Fattoberfest over there in Mitchell- Nice... County, uh, Iowa. Mm-hmm. Mm.
15:19
That would be a good thing for you to do. Uh, those folks are doing a good job on trails. There's, uh, uh, Fattoberfest 2023. See that right there? Let's see. I would, I would say... That's in October, of course.
15:29
Um, there are several other events throughout the year there in, um, the, Osage is the, uh, the town- Oh... in Mitchell County down there. I, I like that they have, um, measurements on the side of this.
15:42
This is a well-thought-out- [laughs]... decorative beer. Yeah, this is as many- Hopefully it's tasty, because-... inches of snow as we've had for the whole year: four. Yeah.
15:48
Which- Hopefully it's, uh, maybe, maybe having these- Oh... will give us- Oh. Oh, there we go. [laughs] I, I forgot I opened it already. [laughs] We're gonna spill no matter what, folks. That's just- Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm...
16:00
maybe that's on camera. Ooh, now, that's delicious. Holy crap. Oh. Oh. Mr. Gray. It is... Oh, that is good. Mr. Gray. I like Deschutes. Pretty often they make a pretty decent beer over there at the El Deschute.
16:15
They, they- The Deschutery... I would, I would like to visit Deschutes. This is New Belgium, though. Oh, yeah. Oh, wait. New Belgium. Oh, I was looking... Yeah, New Belgium. My, my bad.
16:24
[laughs] I was looking at Deschutes, and then, uh, the, the shiny object, uh, showed up- They're both New Belgium... and- That's also New Belgium... they're all New Belgium.
16:31
But the Deschutes was there, and I was gonna... I had that one in my hand, and then this one, they're in the cooler over there at Otto's, in the cooler. Oh. Oh. That one there. Oh. So, uh, yeah. [laughs] So- Wow...
16:40
but this shiny object, in fact, that, that shiny object right there- [laughs]... that, uh, that exclusive, I said, "exclusive," and I put the Deschutes back, got the New Belgium. So it's New Belgium, folks.
16:52
I'll have to change that- This is really delicious... show notes. I don't even know if I'll remember. Here. New- I don't know about the Mountain Time. That's okay. Mm-hmm. It's drinkable- Oh...
17:01
after I had a couple of sips of it and realized, oh, it's only 4.4, so okay, yeah, that's a PBR. Um, or as JK observed. Oh, Greenbelt. A Greenbelt. Sorry, I forgot about the Greenbelt reference. Um, Belglum. Belgium.
17:15
It's so peppery. There we go. Belgium. Peppery. I spelt it. All right. Belted it. Um, buddy, buddy, buddy, boo, boo. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay, folks. Okay.
17:26
I threw a video up last week, I don't know if we talked about it, that just is, like, a zip tie tip- Mm-hmm... and how not to screw it up. Did I talk about that last week? I watched it and liked it. Yeah.
17:35
I think I need to put that on there because it also shows this early Instigator that is so badass. You did mention how much you liked this sudden I will now, now I will. I, I'll put that in the show notes.
17:45
Oh, gee, thanks. That, I think somebody should buy that, but you know what? Then I was thinking, what if I put my electric system from the Roll on that and sold the Roll? There you go.
17:54
You know, because, uh, that's a pretty cool bike. That's... And it's way cooler than the Roll, and I like the Roll. The Roll rides really nice, though. Yeah. The, the, uh, the Instigator rides well. I don't have...
18:06
The wheels on the Roll are way better 'cause I built them f- with the electric hub and all that, so they're much better rims and spokes and tires and all. Um, that is a 7 1/2 pound frame on the old Instigator, though.
18:18
That's a lot of steel. That's beefy. It's beefy. But it, I like the look of it. I like that curvy top tube. I like, I like a lot about it. Wow. And that fancy White Brothers carbon fork. How much? Seven what? Ooh-huh.
18:30
Seven-and-a-half pound frame somewhere. It was a dirt jump bike. It was made to- I suppose... beat on and- Yep... be silly with. Uh, do, doo, talked about Omnium. Hmm. Oh. Well, I, I- Omnium... I don't know if Mr.
18:47
Worker is, uh, is too busy. What do you guys got? Yeah. I don't... Oh, did you see the women's cycling team got busted? Our- Uh, the US-...
18:55
United States women's- The US women's cycling team got busted because they, uh, one of the racers was sick, so they told the mechanic to suit up and wear a mask and stuff, and try and pretend like she was one of the racers so they could qualify for this race.
19:12
No. [laughs] Yeah, it was all the news today. It's all, and, and yeah. Oh, we need to find out who. Yeah, they, they, uh- We got a link in the show notes for that... she, they, they be busted. That's not a- Yeah...
19:21
good look. The, the racer was sick, and they didn't wanna withdraw from the race. And yeah, and the coach [laughs] is the one that told them to do it, so they're definitely, like, he's out of a job for sure.
19:34
Yeah, it's just- That sorta seems like a bad decision. Yeah, that's, that's a, yeah, you don't, you don't do- [laughs] Bad, bad decision people. Yeah.
19:41
Then I was, I didn't get a chance to read it, but there was also the case where Florida is doing some sort of, certain areas of Florida are banning electric bikes because of some sort of accident that killed somebody, and- [clears throat] Don't go to Florida- And-...
19:55
ever... yeah. R- well, that's, that was- [laughs]... of course, as I was looking at the article- Yeah... I'm like, well, I'm, that's not gonna go to Florida.
19:59
It was like last week or the week before, I think we established that the 17 or whatever of the top 20 places to get killed on your bike is in- Is in Florida... Florida. Sort of don't go.
20:08
I, uh, we should have somebody Florida call in and defend your state. Mm-mm. Defend your state. [laughs] Let's see how we can do [laughs] with that. Yeah. I don't think it's gonna happen. Uh- God, this is a good beer...
20:19
we used to have some Florida listeners, 'cause there's some good, uh, there's some good sandy, swampy stuff to ride down there on your fat bike. That's a good beer right there, a hazy IPA. That's a really nice beer.
20:32
Let's see. Skeller Accumulation IPA. [clears throat] So yeah, they get mad props on... New Belgium generally makes a good beer. This is true. Do you know I used to live seven miles from this brewery?
20:41
Ooh, I did not know that. I did. I could ride it. Of course, it was a freeway. Last time I was out there, I, I, I went to it, and it's Fort Collins, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
20:49
Fort Collins, where they got some good bike builders and some decent beer. Well, it was, when I was there, and that was a long time ago, it was, there was parking for I think like six cars and like 100 bicycles.
21:01
That's a good ratio. You know? Yeah. And then it was, if you worked there, they had free daycare and doggy daycare. That's when women own companies, that's the kinda stuff they do.
21:12
They make it nice for everybody instead- Oh, it's-... instead of greedy- Yeah. [clears throat]... male fucks. They, well, they, they, it was a husband and wife team technically. Well, still.
21:20
But they definitely, I mean, they retired, well, have they, they s- it's all employee-owned now is what I was getting at. Right on. Which is a great... And they do make...
21:28
And this is proof that they're still making fantastic beers. They, I believe they have the most women brewers of breweries in the United States. Oh, okay. So there's that. [clears throat] If- They're cool...
21:41
here's so- here's something I didn't even- They're cool... see on the list before. Uh, if you're really into fat bikes, which, you know we all are kinda sorta,
21:49
uh, that old, uh, ITI up there in Alaska's either going on still or being run shortly or has been run or within an whatever, whatever, uh, the Iditarod Trail Invitational. There is a [clears throat]...
22:01
If you like fat bike porn, this is where you wanna go. [laughs] It's a bikepacking.com story, we, we know those guys do a good job, uh, of the, all the bikes that all the good fancy people ride.
22:13
And I was surprised at the breadth of the companies making them. It's not everybody's not riding a carbon salsa whatever, whatever.
22:25
Uh, there are some people riding bikes that are 10 years old that they had built out of titanium, so they last- Whoa... forever. Mm. But- Whoa. Um- Really? Yeah. I would, I would- Oh... go ahead and watch that.
22:35
You know what else, you know what else makes a titanium bike? Omnium Cargo. Is there a- They make a titanium-... titanium cargo bike? You gotta look at these things. They're like $18,000.
22:45
They're not like a, they're not like a bullet. They're not a low slung thing. They're a little more bikey than cargoey, I would say. They lean more towards riding like a real bicycle. Like a light cargo?
22:58
Like cargo light, but they, the cargo can still carry a f- a really decent load. Uh, our buddy Dave up there, Hayward Way, I'm gonna spoil it for Dave. He's gonna call in and say it. Um, but he's into the...
23:12
So his dog Cowboy is getting older, and he wants to do a, a newfangled thing. They got a thing now with dogs and bikes. They call it dog packing. Aw. They- Oh, I'm sure they do...
23:24
because the carb, ca- Carboy [laughs]- Cowboy... Co- Cowboy, um, just is getting old enough, he can't run the, you know, 10, 15, 20 miles with Dave when he's out riding, so Dave's gonna get a bike.
23:37
So car- cargo [laughs] cargo, Cargo Dave. Cargo Dave's gonna get Cargo Cowboy. Cargo Cowboy. [laughs] Cowboy's not that heavy. Throw him in a backpack. He's 50 pounds-ish. [laughs] That's not bad... 40, 50 pounds.
23:51
But anyway, uh, so and he wanted a bike that wasn't like a Bullet or something, because gravel roads up there, wanted to ride more- Right, right, right... like a bike than a actual full-on cargo bike. So check that out.
24:08
Omnium, uh, Omnium Cargo- I'm excited to see what the-....us is the US version. Oh. And them omniumcargo.com is they're made in Denmark or at least the company's in Denmark. Yeah, owned in Denmark.
24:19
I could probably say when it's- Dahan is designed in California. Okay. And they're made in Taiwan, so there you go. [laughs] Everything else is made elsewhere. [laughs] But yeah. I mean, it's marketing people.
24:29
Hey, Apple is designed in California as well. Yeah, look at... Yeah Apple c- you know what they did today at, over at their deal? Apple Computer Probably made some money Made juice?
24:37
Besides making lots of money, I don't know how much they make a day. They make a lot every single day. Yeah. However, after 10 years- Yeah... they stopped a product. Hmm.
24:45
Which- One that never, ever got off the ground, or down the road in this case Lisa? They stopped their car program. Oh. They're ending, they no longer are going to make an automobile. [laughs] After 10 years.
24:59
After [laughs] Apple- With 2,000- That would be bad... 2,000 people on, on the project. Okay. I, I'm sure they got pretty far. Yeah? I'm sure they had a lot of good stuff, and then they said, "Nah." Nah.
25:09
"We're gonna do some- All right... we're gonna do something else. We're gonna make these goofy things that you slap on your face."
25:16
[laughs] Yeah, I wanted to, I- Okay, without saying anything about where I work or what I do, but perhaps someone at the place I work bought one of these on a card and tried to get it reimbursed for the four plus- [laughs]...
25:34
thousand dollars. It wasn't Andrew, was it? No, I m- we're not g- no. [laughs] We're not gonna... No, no. He was- This was way better than that... no, that would be funny.
25:43
Uh- No, it's, it's for after the show, but yeah, it, it, yeah, it's a, it's, it's, it's epic. All right, so Sam Pilgrim's a, a pretty popular YouTuber, bike guy, trick dude, kinda does a lot of cool stuff.
26:00
If I can find the link to this, I'll put it in the show notes, but he got a s- uh, he, he got a pair, a set, a deal- He's got himself a pair... of the goggle, you know- Oh, yeah. Uh... Vision Pro goggles.
26:10
Uh- And then he's trying to ride in a pool or around a bike park with the goggles on [laughs] while he's doing tricks. Please tell me he pukes or something- No, it's just-... or he smashes them...
26:18
but it's, it's, it's entertaining. I would... I'm not gonna spoil it for everybody. Nah. That would be rude. Yeah.
26:24
Some friend of his was in the States, bought the thing, said, "You wanna try these and do some stupid stuff with them?" He's like, "Hell yeah I do." So. It's legit. Yeah. Right? For your $4,000 worth of eye goggles.
26:35
I don't know. I guess a lot of people have a lot more money than I do is what this amounts to. There's a whole lot of people have a lot more. But then again, there's a whole lot of people that don't have as much.
26:43
That's true. Not, not... Yeah. N- still, I'm not buying any. As much of an Apple fanboy as I am, you will not catch that crap on my face. [clears throat] [laughs] Until n- until next year.
26:55
I was gonna say, I can't wait until I get a picture- [laughs]...
26:57
of you doing this so I can make me- Oh, no, I'm gonna have to, uh- You're waiting for the Borg in planet- [laughs] I'm gonna have to s- I'm gonna have to sell a lot of Om- Some strengths like this...
27:05
Omnium cargo [laughs] bikes Gonna end up with, like, the alien face hugger after a while. He's virtual reality skiing. [clears throat] Ah. I don't know.
27:14
Somehow it's a goofy thing because when I look at you, if you're wearing them, it looks like your face is there, but it's really not.
27:21
It's like showing your eyeballs from cameras from the inside, and it's being all weird and stuff. Oh, see, it sounds really bad. It just sounds weird. Yeah, I, I can't. I wanna try it.
27:27
And when you look through it though, you see the world, and you can, uh, you know, you, you can do the, uh, the Tom Cruise thing and the [mimics blades]. I don't wanna- [mimics blades]...
27:38
I don't wanna do anything Tom Cruise does if he has one of them. He's shorter than you. I know that. [laughs] He's also douchier than me, and I'm pretty douchey. You're... You, you border on douchey, that's for sure.
27:48
I... Yeah. I mean, he's, he's- He's like, he's like five of these beers high. [laughs] Right? He told his wife to have, to... Ah, g- I... Change the subject. I don't wanna get into this right now. Matt Gaetz.
28:01
[laughs] Oh, wait. Here's something I'm gonna do before I forget, even though it's just barely before the end of the show. [clears throat] The button.
28:10
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. [clapper board claps] Clap on. It sets the tone for people. Clap off. It's the clapper. [claps] I don't know.
28:20
This is hopefully the last... I thought we were gonna be done with these cameras this week, but [clears throat] like Cracky, it takes a lot more- They're not bad. No, I... You've watched the show, haven't you?
28:29
Yeah, I watched them all. Well, two. We've done two- Well, this, this is-... with the camera... this is the fourth. Oh, is it? Then I've watched three. Yeah.
28:37
So, uh, it was a lot more work to swing the table around and do everything in, like, an hour.
28:43
I'm like, I don't think I wanna risk not being able to do it, so I'm gonna do it- Oh, I thought that was you making the noise... over the next week. [laughs] No, that was the growly sound of a motorbike.
28:53
Just thought that was [laughs] I will say this about this- Although sometimes it is... I'll say this about this New Belgium, it's a little burpy. It's delicious, man. You burp, you burped him.
29:02
I'm telling you, this is, uh, it's so nice and crispy and sweet and, you know, it's got a really, like, yeah, citrusy [smacks lips] It's tasty. It's good. I like it. It's damn good. I mean- I wish I had more.
29:14
We should've just bought a 12 pack of this. It's just- Right? And we would've all been happy. All right. The perils of the multi-pack- Right on... or variety pack, whatever It's true. It's true. Yeah.
29:22
It's usually a good pull though 'cause you get the, kinda the, the fluffer in the beginning. There's two more in there that are more- They're, they're brutal... they're more.
29:31
Like the Oskar Blues- They're more, they're way more... super pack where it's like, "Oh, here's the 1050." They're aftershow beers. Yeah, we might have to do that 'cause I think our blue cooler's empty of beer.
29:40
I think you're right. And so we'll have to go in there and get one. It's, it's partially open, so it's clearly empty. The cover is bare. All right, everybody, somehow we did it again. Oops.
29:47
Uh, even without Big Sexy's help, thank you very much. Uh, we'll, we'll talk to him again soon I would imagine. Hopefully. Right on. All right. Well, we'll do it again next week. Bye. Yeah.
29:58
[upbeat music]
