- 1:01Speaker 2: of Positively three sixty five. Today we're focusing on one
- 1:06Speaker 2: of the simplest practices with the biggest impact, gratitude. We
- 1:12Speaker 2: often associate gratitude with big moments, a promotion, a celebration,
- 1:17Speaker 2: a surprise gift, But real lasting gratitude is found in
- 1:23Speaker 2: the every day the smile of a stranger, a good
- 1:27Speaker 2: cup of coffee, a quiet moment of peace. It's about noticing, appreciating,
- 1:34Speaker 2: and acknowledging the good that already surrounds us every day.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So today we're exploring why gratitude isn't just a nice idea,
- 1:46Speaker 2: it's a game changer. But first, it's time for our
- 1:50Speaker 2: trivia question of the day. Are you ready for it?

- 3:45Speaker 2: Welcome back. Do you know the answer to this week's
- 3:48Speaker 2: trivia question? The question was which US president declared Thanksgiving
- 3:54Speaker 2: a national holiday in eighteen sixty three. The answer President
- 4:00Speaker 2: Abraham Lincoln. That's right. During the height of the Civil War,
- 4:05Speaker 2: President Lincoln issued a proclamation naming the last Thursday in
- 4:09Speaker 2: November as a day of thanksgiving and praise. What's powerful
- 4:16Speaker 2: is that he made this declaration not during a time
- 4:19Speaker 2: of peace and prosperity, but in the middle of one
- 4:22Speaker 2: of the darkest chapters in American history. Even then, Lincoln
- 4:27Speaker 2: understood the importance of gratitude not as a reward for
- 4:31Speaker 2: good times, but as a source of strength during hard times.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Now you know, gratitude is one of the few things
- 4:47Speaker 2: in life that multiplies the more you practice it. When
- 4:52Speaker 2: we're intentional about noticing what's good, even when life is messy,
- 4:57Speaker 2: your heart something shifts, our focus changes, our perspective expands,
- 5:04Speaker 2: and often our mood improves. Gratitude doesn't erase problems, but
- 5:10Speaker 2: it does give them context. It helps us remember that
- 5:14Speaker 2: we still have what still matters and what's still possible.
- 5:20Speaker 2: A daily gratitude habit, even just naming three things each day,
- 5:26Speaker 2: can reduce stress, boost resilience, and deepen our relationships. It's
- 5:32Speaker 2: not about being blindly positive. It's about training your mind
- 5:36Speaker 2: to see both the challenges and the gifts, because even
- 5:42Speaker 2: on the hardest days, there's still something to be thankful for.
- 5:47Speaker 2: A breath, a friend, a lesson, a sunrise. Gratitude anchors
- 5:53Speaker 2: us in the present, and in the present we're far
- 5:57Speaker 2: more powerful than we realize. Let's end with this reminder.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Esop once said, gratitude turns what we have into enough.
- 6:38Speaker 2: So today, take a moment, look around, notice something small
- 6:44Speaker 2: and good. Say thank you, even if it's just in
- 6:48Speaker 2: your heart. That one act can shift your whole day,
- 6:54Speaker 2: And the more you practice it, the more you'll find
- 6:57Speaker 2: that you can be grateful for.
