- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome on. Then it's off the edge with me, your host,
- 0:07Speaker 1: Kim Jordan. We got a lot of things to talk about.
- 0:11Speaker 1: I got a couple of friends joining the shows. You know,
- 0:15Speaker 1: I think that we're gonna have to just start off
- 0:18Speaker 1: with how we ended up losing to Kansas City, Pat Mahomes,
- 0:22Speaker 1: Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy, John Sherman, Schuster Smith. That's a
- 0:29Speaker 1: that's painful. I think there was chances where we could
- 0:32Speaker 1: have gotten Mahomes down, and somehow he made Mahomes types plays,
- 0:38Speaker 1: extended some drives. That's that's not what you want to
- 0:40Speaker 1: see as a defense. In terms of offense, you know,
- 0:45Speaker 1: we're just gonna have to we have to get more.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Whatever it is. It's the season of more. We put
- 0:50Speaker 1: up thirteen points. Shout out to my dog, Colin sanders
- 0:54Speaker 1: Man had a miraculous interception put thirty seven yards out there.
- 1:00Speaker 1: He was out there moving for a big big guy,
- 1:03Speaker 1: big guy. No knee left for Roland. Shout out to
- 1:07Speaker 1: my dog. But yeah, to lose the way we did,
- 1:10Speaker 1: hurts Man, we're officially lost the last three games after
- 1:13Speaker 1: starting off two and oh and now two and three.
- 1:16Speaker 1: We got to find a way to get back into
- 1:18Speaker 1: the win column. You think about what Derek Carr means
- 1:21Speaker 1: to the team and how he was playing, how he's
- 1:23Speaker 1: been playing even before even this game, until he was hurt,
- 1:28Speaker 1: we still felt like we had a chance. Yeah, So
- 1:31Speaker 1: if he's you know, whatever happens with his oblique, whether
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's he's out, you know, he's back this week, he's
- 1:37Speaker 1: out the next couple of weeks, it could pose an
- 1:39Speaker 1: interesting situation of who's up next. Jake Hayn, Spencer Rattler.
- 1:44Speaker 1: They both look good preseason, but preseason ain't regular season.
- 1:47Speaker 1: But as a leader, as somebody who's been a part
- 1:49Speaker 1: of the team for so many years, there's been a
- 1:51Speaker 1: season where we went through four or five different quarterbacks,
- 1:54Speaker 1: you know, whether that was teddy Bridge, Roger teddy Bridge
- 1:58Speaker 1: Roder or you know, going to Taysom Hill, Trevor Simeon,
- 2:02Speaker 1: Ian Brook, I think back to Trevor Simon, Jameis Winston.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You know, whatever that combo is. You've got to find
- 2:09Speaker 1: a way to win, and it has to start off
- 2:11Speaker 1: with the defense. So we can't have one hundred and
- 2:13Speaker 1: forty five yards put on the ground on us. That's
- 2:15Speaker 1: not what it takes. You know, we have to be
- 2:17Speaker 1: better and so we can be a great supporting cast.
- 2:21Speaker 1: But you think about wide receivers that we have in
- 2:23Speaker 1: Chris Olave, Rashi Shahed Rashi Shaheed has probably some of
- 2:27Speaker 1: the most number of explosive touchdowns in the league since
- 2:31Speaker 1: twenty twenty two or whatever that is. I think it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: aw stat He was tied with DeVante Adams for most
- 2:35Speaker 1: thirty yards plus touchdowns and that's that's a great stack
- 2:40Speaker 1: to have. That being said, you know, we got Tampa
- 2:44Speaker 1: Bay coming up. But before we get to Tampa Bay,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, let's get to my boys who are coming
- 2:49Speaker 1: on the show. We're gonna start off with my dog,
- 2:51Speaker 1: a legacy kid himself, Pats Certain Junior appreciate it coming
- 3:02Speaker 1: on in for this is Off the Edge with your
- 3:04Speaker 1: host Cam Jordan. I'm sitting here with the man who's
- 3:08Speaker 1: out here going rock star mode. Uh, you know, not
- 3:11Speaker 1: pass certained, the first, passcertained, the second When only bring
- 3:14Speaker 1: that up because you know, I'm a legacy myself. My dad,
- 3:17Speaker 1: Steve Jordan, plays for bikes for thirteen years. But we're
- 3:19Speaker 1: not here to talk about me. We're here to talk
- 3:21Speaker 1: about the man that that's making a huge name for himself.
- 3:24Speaker 1: We're talking about two time pro bowler. Two interceptions this
- 3:27Speaker 1: last game. One for a honey yard return for the
- 3:30Speaker 1: for the pig six past certained, the second a K
- 3:34Speaker 1: A PS two.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Appreciate you time, appreciate.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I should. I should also add a second time tapping
- 3:44Speaker 1: in with the pod. You know what I'm saying. That's
- 3:47Speaker 1: let's say that's two for two or two years.
- 3:49Speaker 2: First time was Lesten dere Off that jone for sure.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, hey look this, you know that this time you're
- 3:58Speaker 1: coming off of a hot game. That's just talk about it. Bro.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You go over to the to the raiders Gardner minshew,
- 4:03Speaker 1: thank you took two picks, one to the crib. I've
- 4:08Speaker 1: had a pick six, but I ain't have no yak
- 4:11Speaker 1: for my pick six. Boy, I got I got a
- 4:12Speaker 1: whole zero off the goal line. Thank you very much.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You were for a hundred piece. We had two different.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Because yeah, I went for the hunter ball man shoot.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I mean during that time of the game, obviously we
- 4:26Speaker 3: needed some momentum. We needed a momentum swim because they
- 4:30Speaker 3: was going down there to make it a two possessional
- 4:31Speaker 3: ball game, and obviously we don't want to be in
- 4:33Speaker 3: that deficit, especially in the divisional game.
- 4:35Speaker 2: You know what I mean, You're trying to win the game.
- 4:38Speaker 2: So at that moment, you know, I.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Just ran my keys well, seen the ball in the
- 4:42Speaker 3: air and had to capitalize on it.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And uh you.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Feel me to the back to the crib, ran my
- 4:48Speaker 3: block being shoot by. By the time we hit the
- 4:50Speaker 3: fifty y'alling, I was in plused control, you know what
- 4:52Speaker 3: I mean. I had to clear hit of grass, you
- 4:54Speaker 3: know what I mean. So you know, let it be
- 4:56Speaker 3: known I had the ball in the air, then score,
- 4:58Speaker 3: celebrating my teammates, you know what I mean. And so yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 3: that was that was a pivotal point in the game
- 5:03Speaker 3: that we definitely needed. And like I said, that momentum
- 5:06Speaker 3: shift was very clear.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, big time players come up and make big
- 5:11Speaker 1: time plays and big time moments and that's that's that's
- 5:14Speaker 1: them right there. I love that for you, bro. You know.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Then then after a Sunday Sunday game where you guys win,
- 5:20Speaker 1: of course, you know you got the young young and
- 5:22Speaker 1: you know young in yourself, but you got both knicks.
- 5:24Speaker 1: A quarterback. How is it like having a young, a
- 5:27Speaker 1: young quarterback come in start and be able to handle
- 5:30Speaker 1: some of the pressures. Maybe not early on success, but
- 5:32Speaker 1: he's starting to grow.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah, he's definitely growing amongst hisself. Obviously, the guys around
- 5:38Speaker 3: him believe him. Obviously, when you got a guy back
- 5:42Speaker 3: there that's that confident in such an early stage in
- 5:45Speaker 3: his career, the sky's a limit for your team because
- 5:49Speaker 3: he displays it every week. You can just tell that
- 5:53Speaker 3: his composure, his chemistry is growing and growing within his teammates.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And obviously they got to clicking on all sill right now.
- 6:01Speaker 3: And like you said, sometimes it takes a while for
- 6:04Speaker 3: a young quarterback like that to really again in a
- 6:05Speaker 3: rhythm uh again and flow.
- 6:07Speaker 2: But it seems like everything's fine for him.
- 6:10Speaker 3: And obviously they're doing a great job offensively of making
- 6:15Speaker 3: sure he feels comfortable and making sure he's down up
- 6:17Speaker 3: the right place and at the end of the day,
- 6:19Speaker 3: is winning this ball game.
- 6:20Speaker 2: So bo, he's been great. You know, I'm learning a
- 6:23Speaker 2: lot from him.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Obviously, we played against each other in college for like
- 6:28Speaker 3: two years, so we definitely had some robbery bruin going
- 6:31Speaker 3: on because he went to Auburn and now in Taliban.
- 6:34Speaker 3: You know that robbery is uh, you know, it's pretty
- 6:36Speaker 3: pretty legendary. So being able to have him on my team.
- 6:40Speaker 3: My mind is that in the midst of that, it's
- 6:42Speaker 3: been pretty dope.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I forget that he started off at Auburn because you know, clearly,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I just know when he joined the pack. You know,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I'm aware of back, guys, which pack is dead or
- 6:51Speaker 1: maybe it's maybe it's been revived because the're about to
- 6:53Speaker 1: you know, I think like Fresno State and Boise State
- 6:57Speaker 1: joined the pack coming up. I don't know either way.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's it's weird now because now Oregon's are part of
- 7:02Speaker 1: the Big twelve ten.
- 7:05Speaker 2: The Big Big Ten. I don't know, it's crazy.
- 7:09Speaker 1: It's colors are crazy right now.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Bro.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Hey, but I knew bow was gonna be successful. Bro.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Sometime during that game. I've seen the clip where him
- 7:15Speaker 1: and Sean were yapping and Sean Payton, the head coach
- 7:17Speaker 1: for you guys over at the Broncos, We're reapping at
- 7:20Speaker 1: each other and both next to his ground. I said, oh,
- 7:22Speaker 1: Seawann's gonna love that guy like Sean get talking to.
- 7:26Speaker 2: That's just what That's what they don't understand, you know
- 7:28Speaker 2: what I mean. Competitive?
- 7:30Speaker 3: They both they both competitive at the end of the day,
- 7:33Speaker 3: I mean, and they that's how they get on the
- 7:35Speaker 3: same page. I mean, taxes may be fueling, but at
- 7:38Speaker 3: the end of the day, as long as you're on
- 7:40Speaker 3: the same page, you know you're good.
- 7:42Speaker 1: When you got an alpha and the alpha trying to
- 7:44Speaker 1: figure things out, it's gonna get heated sometimes, but as
- 7:47Speaker 1: long as it's coming out of there, you're gonna be
- 7:48Speaker 1: all right. I saw that on the sideline. I said, Oh,
- 7:51Speaker 1: I said, oh, fifty point game incoming. I said, I
- 7:53Speaker 1: don't know. The world may not know, but if Sean
- 7:56Speaker 1: Payton starts yapping and the quarterback starts yapping back, that
- 7:58Speaker 1: means they're really about to go to get other and
- 8:00Speaker 1: put something on, it's gonna get good.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yea, yeah, yeah, the game will be really crazy, you
- 8:05Speaker 3: know what I mean, really scary, right right, he.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Said, For those that don't understand, they don't understand, you know,
- 8:12Speaker 1: the outside world, the Twitter, Twitter is gonna is gonna
- 8:14Speaker 1: charge that thing up. But everybody who understands showing everybody
- 8:17Speaker 1: stands a game, we're gonna be like, oh, like from
- 8:20Speaker 1: from the class of you know, Saints two thousand and
- 8:23Speaker 1: six to twenty twenty and whenever he left twenty one,
- 8:25Speaker 1: when he left everybody was like, oh, yeah, that means
- 8:28Speaker 1: that means the mad hatters back, They're gonna go ahead.
- 8:32Speaker 2: And everything straight, business.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Man, But uh, you know, what is what are we
- 8:38Speaker 1: five weeks? Five weeks into the season. You know you're
- 8:41Speaker 1: already two time pro Boiler's clearly headed to your third
- 8:43Speaker 1: Pro Bowl playing at such a high level. Mister, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 1: strap him down. How is your game evolving from you know,
- 8:49Speaker 1: years prior to this year, because it seems like you
- 8:50Speaker 1: taking it to a whole nother level this year.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Yeah. I think experience plays a good factor into that.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I mean, uh, you know, you know just as much
- 9:00Speaker 3: as everyone you know what I mean, experience is a
- 9:01Speaker 3: huge factor. It's definitely critical towards your game, being able
- 9:06Speaker 3: to have the IQ to really go out there and
- 9:10Speaker 3: slow the game down for you. And I think that's
- 9:12Speaker 3: something that's been ingrained in my game so far, especially
- 9:15Speaker 3: this year, honing in on film study, understanding offensive tendencies.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I think the game has been crystal clear more than
- 9:23Speaker 3: has ever been in my young career. But like I said,
- 9:27Speaker 3: I look forward to really watch film and hone in
- 9:30Speaker 3: on the opponent because you know, Lion of Scott don't
- 9:32Speaker 3: lie at the end of the day and when you're
- 9:34Speaker 3: really lock in and you prepare the right way, things
- 9:37Speaker 3: go in the right direction for you. So I really
- 9:40Speaker 3: believe that IQ experience, all those go hand in hand.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Absolutely, bro. I mean, it clearly pays off because you
- 9:48Speaker 1: got guys like, you know, Christian Gonzalez saying that they
- 9:50Speaker 1: model their game after you. Now, you know, like, how
- 9:53Speaker 1: does like how do you how do you feel about that?
- 9:55Speaker 1: Being you're still young, but you've had so much success
- 9:58Speaker 1: and now you've got guys that look up to you already.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Now that's dope, man.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Me and Christian we talked a few years back before
- 10:05Speaker 3: when he was entering the draft, and he's a great
- 10:08Speaker 3: player in himself.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Obviously he's making players out there. It just seems natural
- 10:13Speaker 2: to him.
- 10:13Speaker 3: He's a ball hawk, he could run, So I've been
- 10:16Speaker 3: a big fan of his game as well. But you know,
- 10:19Speaker 3: hearing that a Munshap peers it means a lot because
- 10:21Speaker 3: obviously you're doing something right at the end of the
- 10:23Speaker 3: day when you hear that, And yeah, I'm just looking
- 10:27Speaker 3: forward to continue success and I'm just building the building
- 10:31Speaker 3: blocks towards a great season and helping the boys out.
- 10:35Speaker 2: My teammates for sure, Yes.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Sir, yes, sir man. I mean, you know, we just
- 10:40Speaker 1: got done playing uh, the Kan City Chiefs already turned
- 10:44Speaker 1: the page. I'm trying to forget that game already. But
- 10:48Speaker 1: we played Kent City. You know, that's an indivision party
- 10:51Speaker 1: for you guys. What makes it so hard for, you know,
- 10:56Speaker 1: to defend against Pat Mahomes versus other quarterbacks?
- 11:01Speaker 2: I think.
- 11:03Speaker 3: With him being in that tight knit group with him,
- 11:07Speaker 3: Kelsey obviously Andy Reid, I think that helps a lot
- 11:11Speaker 3: because they obviously got a system going. But I want
- 11:15Speaker 3: to say it's just a system. Like Mahomes is probably
- 11:17Speaker 3: the most talented quarterback we haven't seen, uh in a while.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it's just.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Crazy the throws he could make on a consistent basis,
- 11:27Speaker 3: And like I said, no matter who's out there, as
- 11:30Speaker 3: long as you got him back there, you're gonna win
- 11:32Speaker 3: some ball games because like that's who he is, a
- 11:36Speaker 3: true competitor, a true leader, and he's just out there
- 11:38Speaker 3: making plays. But and I also think like him and Kelsey,
- 11:43Speaker 3: that connection helps a lot too. That's been successful for
- 11:47Speaker 3: a lot of years now and it's obviously still going on.
- 11:50Speaker 3: But yeah, what makes them so successful is I don't
- 11:53Speaker 3: think they changed the way they do. They stayed with
- 11:56Speaker 3: the same regimen, the same program, and it always works
- 11:59Speaker 3: out for him, you know me and I know people
- 12:00Speaker 3: be like, man.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Why these guys can't be beat?
- 12:03Speaker 3: But like you see the simplicity and the things that
- 12:05Speaker 3: they do, and they do at a high level, you
- 12:07Speaker 3: understand why they be winning super Bowls and stuff like that.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Man, Like they say, it takes what it takes. I
- 12:14Speaker 1: still try and figure out that that that recipe of
- 12:16Speaker 1: whatever it takes to get to the highest, highest platform
- 12:18Speaker 1: being the super Bowl. But yeah, I mean, you know,
- 12:21Speaker 1: we just got done playing them. It was like all
- 12:23Speaker 1: those motions and they're only running a few plays out
- 12:25Speaker 1: of all of that. You know, Like, so I get it. Look,
- 12:29Speaker 1: but I'm trying to tell people, bro, Pat Mahomes is
- 12:31Speaker 1: more elusive than you think he is. Like he may
- 12:35Speaker 1: be he may may be built unathletically, but he's athletically gifted.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's acceptive, definitely deceptive.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Bro. I've seen him out run some linemen. I said, look,
- 12:46Speaker 1: I think I think I thought, I think I almost
- 12:49Speaker 1: had him in the backfield and he sort of slipped
- 12:51Speaker 1: out of there. Even when you hit him as he's falling,
- 12:53Speaker 1: he's gonna let let go a laser. It's I mean,
- 12:56Speaker 1: it's one of those quarterbacks. It's gonna be forever frustrating.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be fun straighted and at the party, like, man,
- 13:03Speaker 3: you just gotta brush that one off off your shoulder,
- 13:05Speaker 3: Like man, I ain't gonna lie.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I don't know how made that happen.
- 13:09Speaker 3: But he's just one of those players, man, one of
- 13:11Speaker 3: those quarterbacks that you know we're gonna talk about for
- 13:14Speaker 3: years to come.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Obviously future Hall of Fame. Man.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I was saying, he's already got what two or three
- 13:20Speaker 1: super Bowls? Three, he's got three super Bowls, He's been
- 13:22Speaker 1: to four or five of them. I'm just trying to one.
- 13:27Speaker 1: We don't hunt for one. You know what I'm saying
- 13:30Speaker 1: is all you need. That's what I've heard. I'm out
- 13:33Speaker 1: here still fighting. We clamor for us, but you know,
- 13:37Speaker 1: super Bowl in New Orleans. Bro, let's let's get out
- 13:40Speaker 1: of NFL because at this point you know that that
- 13:43Speaker 1: that things can lead to a bad road. I just
- 13:45Speaker 1: lost to them, and I'm not I'm not excited about it.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Like I'm already flipping the page headed towards Tampa Bay. Uh. Uh.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna say Gardner minshew, I'm sorry the Baker Mayfield
- 13:56Speaker 1: and Tampa Bay.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Uh.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And then you know, but beyond that, let's just talk
- 14:00Speaker 1: about this weekend.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Bro.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Like we talked about disappointed, can we talk about Alabama? Y'all?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Good over there.
- 14:08Speaker 3: That was a tough one to come by because the
- 14:11Speaker 3: last shoot probably before he was born.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Shoe, I don't know.
- 14:17Speaker 3: It seemed like a century or something like that, I know,
- 14:20Speaker 3: but yeah, I was pretty surprised by it. I was
- 14:24Speaker 3: pretty shocked because we was we was definitely riding the
- 14:28Speaker 3: high horse just from beating Georgia and right obviously that
- 14:32Speaker 3: game you probably look at it as like a cupcake game,
- 14:36Speaker 3: but obviously Vanderbilt intentions was clearly different. I just they
- 14:41Speaker 3: they came out with the more urgency. Uh, there's more
- 14:44Speaker 3: physical at the end of the day. And that's what
- 14:46Speaker 3: it takes in football, the team that wants to more
- 14:49Speaker 3: any given Saturday.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So you said, you got it, That's what That's what
- 14:52Speaker 2: it means.
- 14:53Speaker 3: By preparing, you can't you can't let it off the hook,
- 14:57Speaker 3: you know, I mean, you gotta keep going.
- 14:59Speaker 2: But so I think the Boys gonna learn from it. Obviously,
- 15:02Speaker 2: you got a.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Twelve team playoff now, so I don't think that affects
- 15:05Speaker 3: their chances at the end of the day.
- 15:07Speaker 2: But I think I know what their standard is.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Obviously, they're gonna learn a lot from this game and
- 15:14Speaker 3: hopefully learn that that can happen again, because that's what
- 15:18Speaker 3: it takes to have a you know, bringing that winning culture,
- 15:23Speaker 3: and what comes with that is you know this disbelievers.
- 15:27Speaker 3: You know, obviously, lose to bandy, people are gonna start
- 15:30Speaker 3: being like, oh bam, this normal, ain't that. But I mean,
- 15:34Speaker 3: as long as you do what you do on a
- 15:35Speaker 3: consistent basis, I think they're gonna be fine.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Right. I just got told h Vanderbilt hadn't beat Alabama
- 15:43Speaker 1: since nineteen eighty four, sou Yeah, yeah, forty forty years ago.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Bro, before before you was born.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Definitely before I was born. Yeah yeah, long, that's crazy. Hey,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I feel I feel the bro at least, like you know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: you guys got surprised with you, But you guys just
- 16:04Speaker 1: came off of a super high wind. You know. My
- 16:06Speaker 1: my cow team Bro. I fell asleep Saturday watching the halftime.
- 16:10Speaker 1: We was up by seventeen. I was like, oh, I
- 16:12Speaker 1: could turn this off. This game's rap city. It's ten thirty.
- 16:15Speaker 1: I got working, man, I wake up. We look we
- 16:18Speaker 1: somehow lost, Bro, twenty three points. We gave up twenty
- 16:21Speaker 1: three points in the fourth quarter. I said, what do we.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Three or fourth quarter? That's crazy, man, that's aame man,
- 16:29Speaker 2: that's name.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I said, Bro, to lose by one.
- 16:34Speaker 3: Rather like people ask me, how would you have to lose?
- 16:36Speaker 3: I would hate to lose like that, like that guy hurt.
- 16:39Speaker 3: That gotta be like.
- 16:39Speaker 1: A whole what that's like you get made fun of
- 16:44Speaker 1: for the rest of your life. That's like the Falcons
- 16:46Speaker 1: when they went went to the Super Bowl against the
- 16:48Speaker 1: Patriots and was up twenty eight three and ended up losing.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because how could you use it? You it?
- 16:56Speaker 1: You fail? Yeah man, you foul camp man. Oh well,
- 17:01Speaker 1: you know that's just like I said, this makes it
- 17:03Speaker 1: makes things to think about it, like, that's just how
- 17:05Speaker 1: important it is to be locked in all sixty minutes
- 17:07Speaker 1: this game. This game you have to fight for every yard.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Yeah for sure, man, Literally it's crazy. But anyways, Bro,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you go. I appreciate you tapping in, Bro,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I mean, you know, continue balling to much success, to
- 17:22Speaker 1: the highest levels of success. You know, I hope your
- 17:26Speaker 1: skills helps your team out night in every way possible,
- 17:29Speaker 1: which I know it has. I mean, you take two
- 17:30Speaker 1: interceptions back, I know you want for the Tuddy, I
- 17:33Speaker 1: don't know how it don't Yo. So this this week, Bro,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I hope you just go even crazier, even more federal.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah, appreciate that you too, bro.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Hey man, my dog pass certain certified monster. He's out
- 17:52Speaker 1: there going now. I mean, he likes the way the
- 17:54Speaker 1: Pro Bow feels. But he won Super Bowl. Hopefully we
- 17:56Speaker 1: see him there this year, Broncos. Do you know what
- 17:59Speaker 1: I'm saying? Super Bowl. I'm gonna keep on manifesting New
- 18:01Speaker 1: Orleans and the Super Bowl. It's in the city.
- 18:03Speaker 5: Man.
- 18:03Speaker 1: All we gotta do is get find a way to win.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Starts with this week coming up next, we got Kirby Joseph.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I appreciate you for coming in. This is off the
- 18:23Speaker 1: edge with Cam Jordan and we back and here we are.
- 18:25Speaker 1: We got we got a young up and coming gunner
- 18:28Speaker 1: safety position. You know, Kirby Joseph. My dog had been
- 18:32Speaker 1: out here grinding the lee. He's already got three picks
- 18:34Speaker 1: on the season coming and tapping in with off the
- 18:37Speaker 1: edge of pot. Appreciate you, my boy.
- 18:39Speaker 4: I appreciate you for having me.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Man.
- 18:40Speaker 5: I just want to thank God for giving me this
- 18:42Speaker 5: talent and my teammates like just couldn't do it without him.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, I mean, you know, you gotta give God
- 18:50Speaker 1: the glory because without him, where will we be?
- 18:52Speaker 4: Right to God?
- 18:54Speaker 1: The facts? Bro? I mean, first of all, look, I
- 18:58Speaker 1: know you from Orlando, got family out in Orlando, you
- 19:01Speaker 1: got you know, the hurricane coming in. Is everybody good
- 19:05Speaker 1: your way?
- 19:06Speaker 5: You know, like yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody's moving, gating whatever
- 19:10Speaker 5: they needed, you know, just praying for everybody else in
- 19:14Speaker 5: their family.
- 19:15Speaker 4: I know other people got other situations going on, hopefully
- 19:17Speaker 4: the best.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Right. Look, I've been in I've been in a similar
- 19:21Speaker 1: situation in New Orleans where we had a hurricane coming
- 19:23Speaker 1: in and I dipped and still had to go grab
- 19:26Speaker 1: the like make sure the family was good and come
- 19:28Speaker 1: through and everything else. So it's scary times. You hope
- 19:32Speaker 1: that that you know, Cat five turned to a Cat
- 19:34Speaker 1: three dissipates wherever, but you never know, so major, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 1: major blessings and peace to anybody who may be affected. Yeah,
- 19:42Speaker 1: that's that's That's not a strong way to start that
- 19:44Speaker 1: part off. You know, we want to start off with
- 19:45Speaker 1: positive odds and better energy for day. I mean, uh, look, y'all,
- 19:51Speaker 1: are y'all in y'all y'all in the NFC, uh North?
- 19:54Speaker 1: You know your division seems like everybody's winning right now somehow,
- 19:58Speaker 1: some way, you know, Uh, Vikings are undefeated. You know,
- 20:01Speaker 1: you guys are are going and strong. Chicago's Chicago's got
- 20:06Speaker 1: a winning records just like Green Bay. What do you
- 20:09Speaker 1: think you gotta do to keep on fighting and fight
- 20:12Speaker 1: for that, uh for the number one spot in your division.
- 20:14Speaker 5: I feel like we just got to take it one
- 20:16Speaker 5: game at the time. That's what we're doing. Just keep
- 20:18Speaker 5: doing what we're doing, and just you know, when we
- 20:22Speaker 5: see our opponents, we just gotta make less mistakes and
- 20:26Speaker 5: make more players facts.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I mean, are you are you surprised to see the
- 20:31Speaker 1: Vikings undefeated? I mean, you know, year and year out
- 20:35Speaker 1: they're good five five and oh that's a hot start.
- 20:39Speaker 4: I don't feel like I would say I'm surprised.
- 20:41Speaker 5: I feel like, you know, we're all pros, and I
- 20:44Speaker 5: feel like the Vikings they got talent over there, So
- 20:46Speaker 5: I'm not surprised, But yeah, so kudos to them.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Right, they had nothing to do with you y'all out here,
- 20:53Speaker 1: y'all here trying to get these wins together too.
- 20:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, how you guys we got we got
- 20:58Speaker 6: talent on absolutely so yeah, I mean, you guys sort
- 21:02Speaker 6: of took the world by surprise last year with how
- 21:04Speaker 6: strong you guys came in finishing, made to a deep
- 21:06Speaker 6: run to the Playoffs's what's the mentality?
- 21:09Speaker 1: What's the motive this year?
- 21:10Speaker 5: I feel like the mentality is that it takes more,
- 21:16Speaker 5: you know, because I feel like we did all that
- 21:19Speaker 5: and just to lose it at the last second or
- 21:22Speaker 5: just to not be able to come up within those
- 21:24Speaker 5: last seconds during the game.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Like I feel like we did the preparations.
- 21:28Speaker 5: We knew what we had to do, but now we
- 21:29Speaker 5: really truly know it takes more because you can do
- 21:32Speaker 5: all that instill win.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Man, you could trust your process, do everything the right way,
- 21:37Speaker 1: and have a thirteen to three season, and then do
- 21:40Speaker 1: the very next year, trust your process, do everything the
- 21:42Speaker 1: right way, and have a seven and nine season. At
- 21:44Speaker 1: seven and ten season, now, I mean, you know, there's
- 21:47Speaker 1: there's definitely you know, it's definitely a method that you
- 21:51Speaker 1: have to believe in the way you take to the game,
- 21:53Speaker 1: the way you go ahead and progress. But you never
- 21:56Speaker 1: know the results until you know until the final weeks
- 21:58Speaker 1: where you're like were you're building a alter, you're building
- 22:00Speaker 1: a locker room, you're building a team. Then you know
- 22:02Speaker 1: everybody's either healthy or you see those years where sometimes
- 22:05Speaker 1: you know the key guys you need get hurt and
- 22:08Speaker 1: it's always the next man up mentality. You never know
- 22:09Speaker 1: what's gonna happen in the football.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Season, right right, And like you said, like next man
- 22:15Speaker 5: uh man talent, Like I feel like that's nothing we're
- 22:17Speaker 5: working on. Like we had a situation last week where
- 22:21Speaker 5: Brian Branch went down and Brandon Joseph had stepped up,
- 22:24Speaker 5: and I'm so proud of him because he did real
- 22:25Speaker 5: good in that game. You know, got the first his
- 22:28Speaker 5: first game under his belve man, So shout out to him,
- 22:30Speaker 5: and you know, now it's just like it shows the
- 22:33Speaker 5: younger guys like we need everybody to win.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Like I tell him all the time, we need everybody
- 22:37Speaker 4: to win.
- 22:37Speaker 5: It's just not up to the starters like we need
- 22:40Speaker 5: we need our second strains, our thirst, we need everybody.
- 22:43Speaker 5: So just because you're on practice squad. Just because you're
- 22:45Speaker 5: on like scout team, it doesn't mean you're not a
- 22:47Speaker 5: part of this team like you're a part of the Lions.
- 22:49Speaker 4: That's why you're here. You're here to help us win.
- 22:51Speaker 1: You're an integral part of this team. Because any which
- 22:54Speaker 1: way this could go, spraying ankle, spraying risks, you know, whatever,
- 22:58Speaker 1: whatever it is, there's got to be all right. It's
- 23:00Speaker 1: my time now, you know. They can't be Oh, I
- 23:02Speaker 1: I wasn't expecting this. No, you fought your way to
- 23:05Speaker 1: get to the league. If you have a chance, you
- 23:07Speaker 1: have to earn it each and every time you touch
- 23:09Speaker 1: the field, or each time there's a chance you touch
- 23:12Speaker 1: the field.
- 23:12Speaker 4: Right, That's why I tell him.
- 23:13Speaker 5: I tell them every day after practice eight ten minutes
- 23:16Speaker 5: in the cold to minimum ten minutes.
- 23:20Speaker 1: No, no, lord, no, yeah, you gotta get ten minutes.
- 23:28Speaker 1: You're you're in Detroit. So you play Green Bay in Chicago,
- 23:31Speaker 1: which is a cold weather team. You've always believed in
- 23:34Speaker 1: the cold.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Tub bleed in the Colt Colta A kep me going.
- 23:40Speaker 5: And and just you said, I played the teams in
- 23:42Speaker 5: the cold. I'm from Florida. I don't like the cold.
- 23:47Speaker 4: I look at you. I don't like the cold. I
- 23:49Speaker 4: don't like the gold.
- 23:50Speaker 1: No, you chose to go to Illinois. Now stop playing
- 23:57Speaker 1: do no cold now, no fact, Hey, these are facts.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Whatever gets you here. So ten minutes in the cold man,
- 24:05Speaker 1: my D line knows I'm touching the cold I'm touching
- 24:07Speaker 1: the cold tub. Once a year, round playoffs with the
- 24:11Speaker 1: D line the only way I'm getting in there.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Why wait?
- 24:14Speaker 4: Why wait? You know you gotta be pro. You know
- 24:16Speaker 4: what I'm saying.
- 24:17Speaker 1: You gotta be pro a hot, hot tub, sauna, you know,
- 24:22Speaker 1: steam room. I'm a firm believer runs.
- 24:26Speaker 4: The best available ability is availability.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Is availability, right right? Okay. Saying you believe the cold
- 24:33Speaker 1: tub is gonna get you through, I love that for
- 24:34Speaker 1: you because me, I feel like I played about two
- 24:38Speaker 1: hundred or something games cold tubin' never helped me. In fact,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I believe the one time I got in the cold tub,
- 24:43Speaker 1: I think I got hurt. I said, oh, I'm never
- 24:45Speaker 1: getting back in there again. That was a college like
- 24:47Speaker 1: I sprayed my ankle, hey, like literally, I was like
- 24:50Speaker 1: everybody was like cold to hot to the cold tub.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Like a week later, I wrote my ankle and said,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know what I think I'm good off of cold tubs.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't know what it does, but my body doesn't
- 24:59Speaker 1: compute the way everybody else does. You know I'm a
- 25:01Speaker 1: desert monster. I'm from Arizona. Okay, you know I'm from
- 25:05Speaker 1: the heat. I went to went to California for college,
- 25:08Speaker 1: went to Louisiana for for fourteen years. I don't believe
- 25:11Speaker 1: anything subs seventy five.
- 25:15Speaker 5: I just like, I just like, I'm a I'm a
- 25:17Speaker 5: tough guy. Like I'm gonna getting the hot tel, I'm
- 25:19Speaker 5: getting the cold. Yeah, I'm always contrasting, like I just
- 25:22Speaker 5: like I feel like, but I mean, everybody different. But
- 25:26Speaker 5: if you're on, if you're on, if you're a DV
- 25:28Speaker 5: ten minutes go to I ain't here.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Yeah, if that's what it gets you, then interception. You
- 25:34Speaker 1: got three on the season already. I mean that's what
- 25:36Speaker 1: works for you. I love it for you. And I'm like,
- 25:38Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, make sure you're getting that cold, tough brother,
- 25:41Speaker 1: let me let me get you a hot talent, right
- 25:44Speaker 1: he speaking of speaking of interceptions. Uh, speaking of interceptions,
- 25:46Speaker 1: brother brought it brought to my attention that you keep
- 25:49Speaker 1: every interception like every ball you get an interception, like
- 25:52Speaker 1: you keep it at the crib. You bring it on
- 25:54Speaker 1: a shelf. You high low that thing, like where do
- 25:56Speaker 1: you put these uh intercepted ball?
- 25:58Speaker 5: So right now I got them crib then like it's
- 26:01Speaker 5: like a little troph for I got them in. I
- 26:03Speaker 5: got them in cases like football cases and stuff like that,
- 26:07Speaker 5: just in.
- 26:08Speaker 4: On the shelf.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Eventually, eventually I'm gonna get these guys, uh, these jerseys
- 26:13Speaker 1: behind me and uh and in some cases, I got
- 26:15Speaker 1: a Pro Bowl jersey from mine and then Pops pops it.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Pops is on this side. You know what I'm saying.
- 26:20Speaker 1: He played thirteen years for the Vikings Pro Bowler. You
- 26:22Speaker 1: know I got I got a couple. I got a
- 26:24Speaker 1: couple of my way to but you know what I'm saying,
- 26:26Speaker 1: Like I'm gonna have to eventually frame him.
- 26:28Speaker 4: I'm lazy. They got.
- 26:31Speaker 5: I just ordered a whole cause I be jerseys swapping,
- 26:34Speaker 5: you know with my boys and stuff. Yeah, I got
- 26:36Speaker 5: a whole and cases and stuff.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Man, I got a whole bunch of those plastic bands
- 26:41Speaker 1: of like jerseys I swapped out over the years. I
- 26:44Speaker 1: was like, I gotta do better.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Like I'm doing it for like my forever house. When
- 26:49Speaker 5: I get like my forever house. Like my basement, like
- 26:52Speaker 5: it's gonna be like the best basement.
- 26:55Speaker 1: You're gonna look over you be like, dang, you knew
- 26:57Speaker 1: all them.
- 26:59Speaker 4: From I bring my around a little tit dad. You
- 27:02Speaker 4: know what I'm saying.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Right, I'm in the processing now, bro, my forever home.
- 27:07Speaker 1: When when it gets built out, that's how I'm gonna
- 27:09Speaker 1: get them jumps frame like the next year or two.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Whenever this house gets done, I'm gonna go ahead that
- 27:13Speaker 1: that basement is gonna be a lead or maybe maybe
- 27:16Speaker 1: the weight room. By the way, the wall gonna be stupid,
- 27:20Speaker 1: but but so so the intercepted balls whatever? I heard you?
- 27:23Speaker 1: And keep one, bro, What's what's up with the mas
- 27:25Speaker 1: Stafford situation? Explain to me, No, no band energy in
- 27:29Speaker 1: the house. That's how you keep all the intercept the
- 27:32Speaker 1: balls except that one? Is it because it used to
- 27:34Speaker 1: be a former lion?
- 27:35Speaker 2: Like?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Tell me? I said, wait, I said, we messed that
- 27:38Speaker 1: for do the man.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Okay, we'll talk about Okay, I just say this.
- 27:48Speaker 1: I just say, huh, how PC can we go? How?
- 27:53Speaker 1: How how proper? How how how proper?
- 27:56Speaker 4: I really don't be going for none of that?
- 27:59Speaker 1: Mm hmm, all right, brings me to the next situation.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Does that mean are you a high level junk talker
- 28:06Speaker 1: on the field.
- 28:07Speaker 5: I don't really be talking. Nobody really talked to me
- 28:09Speaker 5: for real. But you know, if somebody say something I
- 28:13Speaker 5: ain't saying. You know what I'm saying, I ain't quiet
- 28:18Speaker 5: A gonna be quiet.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Last year, bro, Hey, look last year he was. He
- 28:23Speaker 1: was on radar. I'm watching I'm watching Chauncey go, Chauncey
- 28:26Speaker 1: Gardner Johnson go after somebody jaw jacket and I see,
- 28:29Speaker 1: I said, you slide in. I said, oh, he's got
- 28:33Speaker 1: an accomplished I'm just saying I don't do too much.
- 28:37Speaker 4: I won't do too much talking. I get straight.
- 28:41Speaker 1: We were here for the business, absolutely, betness proper. Hey,
- 28:45Speaker 1: have you ever heard anybody talk as much trash as
- 28:48Speaker 1: my dog Chauncey or Is there is there any one
- 28:50Speaker 1: player in this league that can probably out talk Chancey
- 28:54Speaker 1: man Man. He was my teammate for three three three
- 29:03Speaker 1: years and change.
- 29:04Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like I feel like that's just
- 29:05Speaker 4: who Chauncy is. You know what I'm saying, You just
- 29:07Speaker 4: got right.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Heil. He built to get on people's skin, and he
- 29:11Speaker 1: gonna find a way he's gonna.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Keep doing until he does great, because you know, like
- 29:15Speaker 5: as a DV, you want to get in the receivers head,
- 29:17Speaker 5: you want to get in the offensive head. So I
- 29:19Speaker 5: feel like, you know, when he gets to talking like
- 29:21Speaker 5: it kind of knocks people off their game, you.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Know, right and on it only only hypes him up.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Once he gets hyped up, the energy gets infectious cause
- 29:30Speaker 1: you're like, yeah, yeah, don't get him. Tell people like
- 29:34Speaker 1: Chauncey really like one of the best teammates you're gonna
- 29:36Speaker 1: have or one of the worst enemies you're gonna face, right,
- 29:39Speaker 1: which one of the two?
- 29:40Speaker 5: Right, But it was like I remember when he was
- 29:44Speaker 5: first here and you know, we had a joint practice
- 29:47Speaker 5: with the Jacks and I ain't evenna se receivers, but
- 29:51Speaker 5: he had hit this one receiver so hard, like all
- 29:54Speaker 5: I have to do is just there like yo, like.
- 29:57Speaker 4: It was crazy. And then and started started talking to
- 30:02Speaker 4: it like it was just amazing. Like I feel like
- 30:04Speaker 4: that just brings the energy, bring the violence back football.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Right. And on the reverse side, you out there like
- 30:10Speaker 1: you're just playing post safety out here being a silent killer.
- 30:13Speaker 1: You're silent assassine, trapping boys up and you said you
- 30:15Speaker 1: ain't talking none.
- 30:16Speaker 4: You just I'm back. I seen hey, I I was calling.
- 30:24Speaker 4: I already had an incident. I already had an incident.
- 30:26Speaker 4: I ain't seen nothing, I ain't doing nothing.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I yeah to to Now I'm focused. I'm locked in, okay, sir,
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah absolutely. Man. Look I used to be a trash
- 30:40Speaker 1: talker these last like three four years. Whether I don't
- 30:43Speaker 1: earn too much respect. Ain't nobody talking trash to me
- 30:46Speaker 1: like that no more? And I used to go out
- 30:47Speaker 1: my way and now I'm just like they're like, dang,
- 30:50Speaker 1: o gee, you still got it. I'm like thanks.
- 30:57Speaker 4: I really just be like, so your game, I just
- 31:01Speaker 4: be like into the game for real, you know. But
- 31:04Speaker 4: that's that's that.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Everybody got their own type of game, like like that's
- 31:07Speaker 5: tons of the game.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Like my game might just be cooling.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Right, I mean talk about your game just I mean,
- 31:12Speaker 1: how have you embraced that challenge from you know, from
- 31:16Speaker 1: from years prior to now where you're you've improved your
- 31:18Speaker 1: your man coverage skills, even stepping up as like one
- 31:21Speaker 1: of the vocal leaders.
- 31:23Speaker 5: I love it, you know, Like me, I love to
- 31:26Speaker 5: get talented because I know talleges make you better. You
- 31:28Speaker 5: know what I'm saying, You're not getting better. If you're
- 31:29Speaker 5: not getting you're not challenging yourself. I feel like I
- 31:33Speaker 5: wanted to be complete as a safety to where I
- 31:35Speaker 5: can cover down or where I could pick the ball
- 31:38Speaker 5: off if it's in the coverage, or get better at
- 31:41Speaker 5: my man and my tackling. Like I just wanted to
- 31:42Speaker 5: be a complete all around safey. I wanted to be
- 31:44Speaker 5: as versatile as I can so I could be the best,
- 31:47Speaker 5: because that's all I want to be, is the best, right.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I mean, you strive for great he should strive for greatness.
- 31:53Speaker 1: We strive for perfection every day. We always gonna fall short,
- 31:56Speaker 1: but we can always strive for perfection. You know, would
- 32:00Speaker 1: you with the with last year's success, what you guys
- 32:03Speaker 1: seem elevated on almost every position, you know, just in
- 32:07Speaker 1: terms of experience or or talent level. I mean, where
- 32:10Speaker 1: do you where do you see your season headed towards now?
- 32:13Speaker 1: Would you consider your self a failure if you don't
- 32:14Speaker 1: take the number one spot in your division? In fact,
- 32:16Speaker 1: let's go even further, if you don't make it to
- 32:17Speaker 1: the super Bowl? Would you be like, what more could
- 32:20Speaker 1: you do? What more could you ask?
- 32:21Speaker 2: For definitely.
- 32:22Speaker 5: Definitely, we don't make it to the Super Bowl, like
- 32:23Speaker 5: I feel like we failed because that's the highest you
- 32:26Speaker 5: can go. There's nothing beyond that, you know what I'm saying.
- 32:29Speaker 5: And like I'm a team player. I'm not too much
- 32:32Speaker 5: worried about Pro.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Bowl or I could. I could.
- 32:34Speaker 5: I could make it to the Pro Bowl and not
- 32:38Speaker 5: make it to the Super Bowl, and I won't be satisfied,
- 32:40Speaker 5: you know, Like I want to win as a team
- 32:42Speaker 5: because you know, I grind with these guys, like these
- 32:44Speaker 5: guys are my brothers. So it's like, man, like I'm
- 32:47Speaker 5: putting an artists in so we can win, not so
- 32:49Speaker 5: I can win, so we can win.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Absolutely. I tried. Look, I've tried to tell people. I said, look,
- 32:54Speaker 1: I've been to Pro Bowls. I've seen I've seen I've
- 32:57Speaker 1: been all Pros. I've seen all the greatest accolades you
- 32:59Speaker 1: can personally, But what I want to see is a
- 33:01Speaker 1: Super Bowl. I've been to the NFC Championship Game one
- 33:04Speaker 1: year and then the next year, like you don't make
- 33:07Speaker 1: it even as far, you know, like it's it's it's
- 33:09Speaker 1: climbing back up to the top of the mountain just
- 33:11Speaker 1: to see if you can reach the peak. Like that's
- 33:13Speaker 1: that's half the battle, because mentally that's draining to be like,
- 33:16Speaker 1: oh man, we were just right there.
- 33:18Speaker 5: And it's not like you don't put in. You don't
- 33:20Speaker 5: put in the blood and sweat and tears all through
- 33:23Speaker 5: ot is, all through training camp, just to make it
- 33:25Speaker 5: to NFC Championship. You know what I'm saying, Like, you
- 33:28Speaker 5: put all that work in to make it to the
- 33:29Speaker 5: super Bowl and win the Super Bowl, not just winning,
- 33:32Speaker 5: not just playing it, but win it right.
- 33:35Speaker 1: And I mean that locker room culture is real. That
- 33:37Speaker 1: plays a huge part of it too. I mean, I mean,
- 33:39Speaker 1: I know for me, like my locker room is great,
- 33:42Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying tomorrow, Davis Tire, Matthews myself,
- 33:45Speaker 1: you got a k you know, you got Derek Carr,
- 33:48Speaker 1: you got leaders at so many different positions, Eric McCoy
- 33:51Speaker 1: over at center on the officer side of the ball.
- 33:52Speaker 1: But then, like you know, when you talk about your
- 33:55Speaker 1: your locker room culture, your culture where it started off
- 33:57Speaker 1: as Dan Campbell talking about he was gonna bite people
- 34:00Speaker 1: kneecaps often, you know, the you know whatever whatever that
- 34:03Speaker 1: was to even Jamal Williams at the time, you know,
- 34:06Speaker 1: talking about some dogs to Now where has that culture
- 34:09Speaker 1: elevated and evolved into.
- 34:11Speaker 5: I feel like it really evolved into accountability, you know,
- 34:16Speaker 5: like we had to accountability before, but now it's to
- 34:19Speaker 5: the point where it's like I'm gonna call you out
- 34:22Speaker 5: because I know.
- 34:23Speaker 4: You can be great. I'm not eve gonna let you
- 34:25Speaker 4: do that to yourself, you know what I'm saying.
- 34:27Speaker 5: So like like for the DVS, like I'll call out
- 34:29Speaker 5: brands or branch will call me out, r T, I'll
- 34:31Speaker 5: call T. A cdo call me, I'll call CD the CEO.
- 34:34Speaker 5: Like there's no there's no there's no there's no like
- 34:38Speaker 5: pride or I'm not gonna say there's no pride, but
- 34:40Speaker 5: it's like everybody's able to take critical you know, and
- 34:44Speaker 5: able to learn and to understand. Like yo, like this
- 34:47Speaker 5: guy's not trying to tell me that, he's just trying
- 34:48Speaker 5: to help me, you know, elevate my game.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there's definitely pride in the game, but there's no
- 34:53Speaker 1: pride in one one's personal self.
- 34:55Speaker 3: You know.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Like I think that the greatest thing I heard the
- 34:58Speaker 1: other day was David talking about you know, there's the NFL,
- 35:02Speaker 1: which is a winning like a win or lose business.
- 35:05Speaker 1: And then there's the NFL player who has the methodology,
- 35:08Speaker 1: the practice, the ability and has to go perform to
- 35:12Speaker 1: curate this. I mean, it doesn't mean that you're going
- 35:14Speaker 1: to win. It just means a methodology is practice enough
- 35:16Speaker 1: to where your routine gives you the best chance to succeed, right.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And it's like, shout out to my dog who said that. No, no,
- 35:23Speaker 1: go ahead, shout out to my dog.
- 35:24Speaker 5: W But it's like it's like, really, like what I'm
- 35:28Speaker 5: like what you said, Like, what you're doing practice is
- 35:31Speaker 5: really what you're going to do in the game.
- 35:32Speaker 4: So it's like you really want to practice hard, and
- 35:34Speaker 4: I feel like.
- 35:35Speaker 5: We'd have been doing a great job of that, like
- 35:37Speaker 5: just being aware of knowing what's going on within practice.
- 35:40Speaker 4: So it's like once you go to the game, it's easy.
- 35:43Speaker 4: You know, practice should be harder than the game.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Absolutely, it shouldn't be. I mean practice practice is two hours.
- 35:51Speaker 1: You got the you got the individual loan that could
- 35:53Speaker 1: wipe you out, and then you go to you know,
- 35:55Speaker 1: those different team periods where you out there full pass
- 35:57Speaker 1: smacking folks like bro, we could have just played a
- 36:00Speaker 1: game if we was gonna go this crazy, we could
- 36:03Speaker 1: have we could have really had something go ahead, but
- 36:07Speaker 1: sure yeah, no, no, Hey, it's all you, bro, Like
- 36:10Speaker 1: I really I really want to hear your mentality because
- 36:12Speaker 1: when I think about our practice, I know what got
- 36:14Speaker 1: me here. Now I'm seeing guys like you thrive, bro,
- 36:17Speaker 1: and I want to know your mentality.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Go hard every play. I feel like, really, just never
- 36:23Speaker 4: take no play for granted.
- 36:25Speaker 5: Every play count, every integrass count, Like you never know
- 36:28Speaker 5: what's going to happen, so you never want to let
- 36:30Speaker 5: off the guys.
- 36:31Speaker 4: You want to go full speed everything.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Absolutely. I gotta I gotta love it, gotta respect it.
- 36:36Speaker 1: You know, we only get one life in this thing,
- 36:38Speaker 1: and for real, you know what the NFL stands for.
- 36:40Speaker 1: It stands for not for long, and that account you
- 36:43Speaker 1: have to go get it each and every play, each
- 36:44Speaker 1: and every down, no matter if you're playing out a position,
- 36:47Speaker 1: in position, practice, squad, starter, whatever it is, there's always
- 36:50Speaker 1: a chance that you can improve or just improve upon
- 36:53Speaker 1: your own abilities.
- 36:54Speaker 5: Right, And it's like you never want to give up
- 36:57Speaker 5: because it's not over until you give up. You know
- 36:59Speaker 5: you will always get better, Like I feel like, if
- 37:01Speaker 5: you're not getting better, like I always tell myself, if
- 37:03Speaker 5: you're not getting better, You're getting worse. I remember my
- 37:06Speaker 5: my rookie year I came in. They said I was
- 37:09Speaker 5: under developed, like I wasn't as crafty as a safety
- 37:12Speaker 5: or whatever. That didn't stop me. You know, I always
- 37:15Speaker 5: look for ways to learn to get better, you know
- 37:17Speaker 5: what I'm saying. And I ended up real pretty good
- 37:19Speaker 5: like so I just never stopped. I'm always willing to learn.
- 37:22Speaker 5: I'm always learned. I'm always willing to learn from people
- 37:24Speaker 5: good or bad, like I'm always willing to take a bus.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I love that for you, my boy. We'll
- 37:30Speaker 1: keep on grinding. I appreciate you tapping in with the

- 37:42Speaker 5: I just want to say, I just want to say
- 37:44Speaker 5: I appreciate you for having me and man if y'all
