- 3:46Speaker 1: you can go out party, drink green beer, eat corn,
- 3:49Speaker 1: beef and cabbage, and just pretend like you're Irish for
- 3:52Speaker 1: the day or for the whole weekend. Actually, because it's
- 3:55Speaker 1: on Monday, you could be Irish Saturday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- 3:59Speaker 1: and Monday, four day Irish weekend. But make sure you
- 4:03Speaker 1: drink responsibly out there. I want everybody to have all
- 4:06Speaker 1: their fingers toes and lives intact. We are gonna have
- 4:10Speaker 1: fun today on the show. We got a lot to
- 4:12Speaker 1: talk about. Free agency is Oh wow, here's an alert.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Running back Careem Hunt is resigning with the Chiefs. So
- 4:23Speaker 1: that is breaking news right as I'm going on the air.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Kareem Hunt is resigning with the Kansas City Chiefs and
- 4:29Speaker 1: we'll be their running back. But let's go into an
- 4:32Speaker 1: NFL free agency. Since that happened, that was pretty crazy,
- 4:36Speaker 1: all right, So let's go into this and see where
- 4:40Speaker 1: everybody landed. Oh right, so let's look at first of all,
- 4:44Speaker 1: here's some released players that were released and where they went.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Davante Adams, wide receiver, signed a two year, forty six
- 4:51Speaker 1: million dollar deal with the Rams after being released by
- 4:54Speaker 1: the Jets. Joey Bosa defensive end signed a one year
- 4:58Speaker 1: deal twelve point six million dollars with the Bills after
- 5:01Speaker 1: being released by the Chargers on March fifth. Aaron Rodgers
- 5:05Speaker 1: was officially released by the Jets and became a free
- 5:07Speaker 1: agent on March twelfth. Still hasn't signed anywhere. Javon Hargrave,
- 5:12Speaker 1: defensive tackle, was released by the forty nine Ers on
- 5:15Speaker 1: March tenth. Signed a two year, thirty million dollar deal
- 5:18Speaker 1: with the Minnesota Vikings. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett released from
- 5:22Speaker 1: the Seahawks on March fifth, still a free agent. Jonathan Allen,
- 5:26Speaker 1: defensive tackle, signed a three years, sixty million dollars deal
- 5:30Speaker 1: with the Vikings after being released by the Commanders on
- 5:32Speaker 1: March seventh. Harold Laundry, the third linebackers, signed a three
- 5:37Speaker 1: year deal forty three point five million dollars with the
- 5:40Speaker 1: Patriots after being released by the Titans. And Cooper Cupp
- 5:44Speaker 1: was released by the Rams and is still a free
- 5:46Speaker 1: agent as of March twelfth when he got released. So
- 5:51Speaker 1: those are some guys that got released from their teams
- 5:54Speaker 1: in the last few weeks and signed right away with
- 5:57Speaker 1: a team or might still be free agents. Aaron Rodgers
- 6:00Speaker 1: is surprising me. Only because I believe if he's gonna play,
- 6:03Speaker 1: he would want to sign quick with somebody. But I
- 6:07Speaker 1: guess not so I guess he's either taking his time
- 6:10Speaker 1: or nobody's been interested. I know he was supposed to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be in calls with Pittsburgh and other teams. So let's
- 6:16Speaker 1: see where some of these top one hundred free agents landed.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Free agency obviously started the tampering period on Monday, and
- 6:24Speaker 1: on Wednesday you could officially sign. Chicago Bears made some
- 6:27Speaker 1: amazing moves in this offseason so far. We got a
- 6:31Speaker 1: new tight end, a new receiver, two new off three
- 6:34Speaker 1: new offensive linemen, and a defensive end. It is amazing.
- 6:39Speaker 1: The Bears have been spending the money, but they're doing
- 6:42Speaker 1: it strategically. They're not being stupid with it and just
- 6:45Speaker 1: going out and signing every big name that they can
- 6:47Speaker 1: find to try to see what sticks. They're actually going
- 6:50Speaker 1: for guys that they know can do something. But we'll
- 6:52Speaker 1: talk about that in a few minutes. Let's see where
- 6:55Speaker 1: some of these guys have went. Sam Darnold was with
- 6:58Speaker 1: the Vikings last year, and he signed with the Seahawks
- 7:01Speaker 1: on a three year deal for one hundred point five million.
- 7:04Speaker 1: My thing is why would Minnesota, who literally just made
- 7:09Speaker 1: the playoffs and had the one of the best records
- 7:14Speaker 1: in the NFL. Not the best record, that was Detroit,
- 7:16Speaker 1: but they were close. They were riding side by side
- 7:19Speaker 1: with Detroit for a long time in the division. Why
- 7:22Speaker 1: would you get rid of Sam Darnold who's twenty seven
- 7:25Speaker 1: years old. Why would you do that? He had an
- 7:28Speaker 1: amazing season for you. Why would you do that? Like,
- 7:33Speaker 1: is JJ McCarthy ready? He missed his entire rookie year.
- 7:39Speaker 1: You're just gonna throw JJ out there and just hope
- 7:42Speaker 1: he sticks Because I'm sorry, as much of a JJ
- 7:47Speaker 1: McCarthy fan I am from Michigan, Okay, being a diehard
- 7:51Speaker 1: Wolverine fan, there is nothing to me that says that
- 7:56Speaker 1: he can lead that team into a division title right
- 7:59Speaker 1: now his first real year. He's a second year player
- 8:04Speaker 1: who's technically a rookie. Okay, we know this. Sam Donald
- 8:09Speaker 1: should have stayed at least one or two more years
- 8:11Speaker 1: with them to see when JJ will be ready. If
- 8:15Speaker 1: I were them, I would have gave him a big
- 8:17Speaker 1: contract for at least two years just to see what
- 8:20Speaker 1: would happen. Because worst case, Sam Donald leaves at twenty
- 8:24Speaker 1: nine he still can go sign a really lucrative deal
- 8:27Speaker 1: somewhere else. Now Seattle's got him, and now he's gonna
- 8:30Speaker 1: do with the Seahawks what he did last year with Minnesota.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm telling you now, Minnesota is gonna be at the
- 8:36Speaker 1: bottom of the barrel this year. JJ McCarthy, coming off
- 8:39Speaker 1: of an injury like he had, is now ready to
- 8:41Speaker 1: lead that team. The Vikings will be last place in
- 8:44Speaker 1: the division. That division is gonna be fought for between Detroit, Chicago,
- 8:48Speaker 1: and Green Bay in that order. It's still Detroit's right
- 8:53Speaker 1: now until we see what Ben Johnson does. But I
- 8:56Speaker 1: can guarantee Ben Johnson is going to do way better
- 8:59Speaker 1: than Matt Lafleur because he's already owned him before. So
- 9:04Speaker 1: and we already beat Matt Lafleur in the last game,
- 9:07Speaker 1: which means that we're one up on him already, and
- 9:09Speaker 1: now with a new coach that's beating them, we know
- 9:12Speaker 1: we can win. Let's move on. We got T Higgins
- 9:16Speaker 1: staying with the Bengals on a franchise tag one year,
- 9:21Speaker 1: twenty six point two million. Josh Sweat, he was somebody
- 9:25Speaker 1: that kind of wanted in Chicago. He was from Philly.
- 9:28Speaker 1: He signed with the Cardinals on a four year, seventy
- 9:32Speaker 1: six point four million dollar deal. Trace Smith, the guard
- 9:37Speaker 1: that everybody in Chicago wanted, went on a franchise tag
- 9:41Speaker 1: with Kansas City for one year twenty three point four million.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Rodnie stan Lee, thirty year old offensive tackle from Baltimore,
- 9:49Speaker 1: stayed with Baltimore on a three year sixty million dollar deal.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Milton Williams, defensive lineman from Philly, went to New England
- 9:58Speaker 1: on a four year, one hundred and four million dollar contract.
- 10:02Speaker 1: This is my guy. I love him. I'm glad he
- 10:04Speaker 1: came out to Chicago. I've been watching him with Atlanta
- 10:07Speaker 1: this year because I knew that we were looking for
- 10:10Speaker 1: a new center. I saw a film on him. Amazing center.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Drew Dolman is a Chicago Bear. At twenty six years old.
- 10:18Speaker 1: He is going to be the best center we've had
- 10:21Speaker 1: since Cruits and Garza. Amazing three years, forty two million
- 10:25Speaker 1: dollar deal. Came from Atlanta. Signed with Chicago. Dj Reed,
- 10:29Speaker 1: corner corner out of the Jets, signed with the Detroit
- 10:34Speaker 1: Lions at a three year, forty eight million dollar deal.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Javon Holland, safety out of Miami, signed with the New
- 10:42Speaker 1: York Giants on a three year forty five million dollar deal.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Let's see. Chris Godwin is staying with the Bucks on
- 10:50Speaker 1: a three year sixty six million dollar deal. Carlton Davis
- 10:54Speaker 1: Corner out of Detroit is going to New England on
- 10:57Speaker 1: a three year sixty million dollar dollar deal. Nick Bolton,
- 11:01Speaker 1: no relation to Michael Bolton, staying with the Kansas City
- 11:06Speaker 1: Chiefs on a three year forty five million dollar deal.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Let's see. Looking at the list to see if there's
- 11:12Speaker 1: any other really big ones. Khalil Mack is staying with
- 11:16Speaker 1: the Kids, not Kansas City, with the Chargers on a
- 11:19Speaker 1: one year, eighteen million dollar deal. They're keeping him year
- 11:22Speaker 1: to year, I think because he's at the age where
- 11:24Speaker 1: he can retire at any time, so they're just doing
- 11:27Speaker 1: a one year deal here and there for him. Tevin
- 11:31Speaker 1: Jenkins is still out there. He was from the Bears.
- 11:34Speaker 1: He's still out there right now. Byron Murphy corner out
- 11:38Speaker 1: of Minnesota is gonna stay with the Vikings on a
- 11:41Speaker 1: three year sixty six million dollar deal. Let's see. I'm
- 11:46Speaker 1: looking through the list. I'm just looking for the bigger names,
- 11:49Speaker 1: but a lot of the big names are done. Running
- 11:52Speaker 1: back Rico o'dowdell is going from the Cowboys to the
- 11:56Speaker 1: Panthers on a one year, six point twenty five million
- 11:59Speaker 1: dollar deal. Let's see Ryan Kelly Center out of the
- 12:06Speaker 1: Colts decided to sign a two year, eighteen million dollar
- 12:09Speaker 1: deal with the Vikings. Aaron Jones, running back for the Vikings,
- 12:14Speaker 1: just signed back with them on it last night, on
- 12:17Speaker 1: a two year twenty million dollar deal. Amari Cooper's still
- 12:20Speaker 1: out there from Buffalo. He's not with anybody yet. I'm
- 12:24Speaker 1: actually surprised by that, to be honest. DeMarcus Lawrence Edge
- 12:28Speaker 1: out of the Cowboys went with the Seattle Seahawks on
- 12:32Speaker 1: a three year forty two million dollar deal. Chase Young,
- 12:37Speaker 1: we were hoping to get him to twenty five year old
- 12:39Speaker 1: Edge out of the Saints decided to stay with the
- 12:41Speaker 1: Saints on a three year fifty one million dollar deal.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Let's see Justin Fields, this is the big one, went
- 12:52Speaker 1: from Pittsburgh to the Jets on a two year forty
- 12:56Speaker 1: million dollar deal. My boy Justin got paid. That's awesome.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I'm glad for him. I hope he has a good career.
- 13:03Speaker 1: I don't wish bad on any former Bears players if
- 13:07Speaker 1: they don't work out here in Chicago. Then I'm happy
- 13:10Speaker 1: for them to go somewhere else and work out somewhere
- 13:12Speaker 1: else it happens. Let's see Stefan Diggs still out there
- 13:17Speaker 1: as a free agent. Let's see who's still out there.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Justin Sibbons, a safety out of Atlanta. Zach Ertz signed
- 13:27Speaker 1: a one year, six point two five million dollar deal
- 13:30Speaker 1: to stay in Washington with the Commanders. Let's see Mike Joseki,
- 13:38Speaker 1: a tight end from the Bengals, stayed with the Bengals
- 13:41Speaker 1: out a three year, twenty five million dollar deal. Darius
- 13:44Speaker 1: Slayton is staying with New York on a three year
- 13:46Speaker 1: thirty six million dollar deal. Mar Mark Keith Brown is
- 13:51Speaker 1: staying with the Chiefs on a one year, eleven million
- 13:53Speaker 1: dollar deal. I'm surprised that a guy at twenty seven
- 13:57Speaker 1: will only do a one year deal with the team
- 13:59Speaker 1: amazes me. I mean, if it's a franchise tagl there's
- 14:02Speaker 1: none you can do but to stay on a one
- 14:04Speaker 1: year deal at the age of twenty seven, Like I feel,
- 14:08Speaker 1: by that point he should have proved himself enough for
- 14:10Speaker 1: a three or four year deal, and if he didn't,
- 14:13Speaker 1: then what are you keeping him for? Najie Harris left
- 14:16Speaker 1: Pittsburgh and went to the Chargers on a one year,
- 14:19Speaker 1: nine point five million dollar deal. Let's see, Keenan Allen
- 14:25Speaker 1: is still out there. Who else we got? Xavier was
- 14:31Speaker 1: not the WWE star, but the football star safety out
- 14:35Speaker 1: of Carolina went to Tennessee out a two year, ten
- 14:38Speaker 1: million dollar deal. Russell Wilson is still out there. Russell
- 14:42Speaker 1: Wilson is surprising me, and so is Aaron Rodgers. Two
- 14:46Speaker 1: decent quarterbacks still out there. Let's see. Chicago Bears got
- 14:53Speaker 1: Edge Dale out of bingo or out of a diabo.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I look, you know he's gonna be a Bear for
- 15:02Speaker 1: three years. We'll learn his name. Twenty five year old
- 15:05Speaker 1: Edge from the Colts is now a Chicago Bear. I'm excited.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Though I watched his interview it was amazing. I will
- 15:11Speaker 1: learn how to say his name. Coleman Shelton, the Bears center,
- 15:14Speaker 1: went to la on a two year to be determined deal.
- 15:18Speaker 1: That doesn't sound good. And DeAndre Hopkins left Kansas City
- 15:22Speaker 1: to go on a one year deal for six million
- 15:26Speaker 1: dollars with the Baltimore Ravens. So those are some of
- 15:30Speaker 1: your top one hundred free agents and where they ended
- 15:33Speaker 1: up going Chicago Bears. Made some great moves. We're gonna
- 15:36Speaker 1: talk more about it next week. I'm gonna go into
- 15:40Speaker 1: finding out some big facts about these guys. Plus I
- 15:43Speaker 1: want to see if the Bears get any more free
- 15:45Speaker 1: agents in the next couple of days. But free agent
- 15:48Speaker 1: period's pretty much ending pretty soon now. A lot of
- 15:52Speaker 1: these guys that now are gonna be they're gonna be
- 15:54Speaker 1: preparing for the draft. The nice thing about what we
- 15:57Speaker 1: ended up getting is now our draft board is wide open.
- 16:01Speaker 1: We can go a running back like Ashton Gent. We
- 16:05Speaker 1: could go another offensive lineman, we could go another defensive ender, lineman,
- 16:11Speaker 1: we can go, we can go on a corner. We
- 16:13Speaker 1: can go anywhere we want on the board for our
- 16:16Speaker 1: draft picks. And that is the next big thing is
- 16:19Speaker 1: the end of April. We got the NFL Draft. I'm excited.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I think everybody is ready to go with this and
- 16:27Speaker 1: see what we get. I think that I'm happy with
- 16:29Speaker 1: what we've done. If we don't make any more free
- 16:31Speaker 1: agent moves, I am happy with that because I feel
- 16:34Speaker 1: like we got what we needed out of that. Now
- 16:37Speaker 1: we go to the left and what we don't get
- 16:39Speaker 1: in the draft, you can go back into the free
- 16:41Speaker 1: agent pool and see what's left of who's in there
- 16:45Speaker 1: or who gets released later, and you can still pick
- 16:48Speaker 1: up more guys because remember two, once the preseason starts
- 16:52Speaker 1: and training camp, more guys will get cut who they
- 16:56Speaker 1: may not be a fit for those teams. I hope
- 16:59Speaker 1: people say, but Robbie g why would you want somebody
- 17:02Speaker 1: that got cut that couldn't make the team in training camp?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Because they may not have been a fit for that team,
- 17:08Speaker 1: but will be a fit for yours. It could be
- 17:12Speaker 1: the coaching that they're getting on that other team. Maybe
- 17:15Speaker 1: they weren't good enough there, but maybe somebody like you know,
- 17:21Speaker 1: Ryan Poles, you know and stuff like that. Maybe them
- 17:25Speaker 1: him plus the coaching. I mean, you've got great coaching
- 17:29Speaker 1: and Ben Johnson, you got a great coach on defense
- 17:33Speaker 1: and Dennis Allen. So now we look at both sides
- 17:37Speaker 1: of the offense defense. You know who you want. Special
- 17:39Speaker 1: teams coaches they know who they like. They may see
- 17:43Speaker 1: a guy who is a fast receiver but doesn't do
- 17:47Speaker 1: good at catching the ball like that, But your special
- 17:51Speaker 1: teams coordinator might say he would be fast as a
- 17:55Speaker 1: punt returner or a kick returner. So I want to
- 18:00Speaker 1: try him out at that. When people say, oh, well,
- 18:03Speaker 1: this team signs too many receivers, as I saw somebody
- 18:06Speaker 1: post that yesterday night on Facebook, oh they get too
- 18:10Speaker 1: many receivers. What you don't understand is your receivers that
- 18:15Speaker 1: you're getting, that you're picking up aren't just to be receivers.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Your receivers can also be special teams guys, punt returners,
- 18:33Speaker 1: kick returners. So you know, you got to realize that too.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Like all these people don't understand football, there's more on
- 18:42Speaker 1: the field than just your offense and your defense. Your
- 18:46Speaker 1: special teams need people too, and a lot of times
- 18:49Speaker 1: you don't want to use your first string guys to
- 18:53Speaker 1: be punt and kick returners. You want to get guys
- 18:56Speaker 1: who are just good at that. When Devin Hester started,
- 19:00Speaker 1: he was just a kick returner. They tried him at
- 19:03Speaker 1: wide receiver, but he was a kick returner, and I
- 19:06Speaker 1: believe moving him to wide receiver was a bad mistake
- 19:10Speaker 1: by Lovey Smith. I think he should have kept him
- 19:12Speaker 1: as a as a kick returner because now you're putting
- 19:16Speaker 1: more work on his legs. I would rather save his
- 19:18Speaker 1: legs for kicking punts than use him just all the
- 19:23Speaker 1: time as a wide receiver. So people need to learn
- 19:27Speaker 1: why certain things happen in football. But that's it. Well,
- 19:32Speaker 1: let's talk about something else. Now, let's go into some
- 19:37Speaker 1: NBA talk. This is gonna be a good one. Buckle up.
- 19:44Speaker 1: So the NBA, this is what I wanted to talk about.
- 19:47Speaker 1: This isn't anything that has to do with standings. We're
- 19:49Speaker 1: gonna wait another couple of weeks before we really start
- 19:52Speaker 1: going into NBA stand because at this point, you know,
- 19:58Speaker 1: we got a couple of weeks until the end of
- 19:59Speaker 1: the season starts, so we'll start talking about it probably
- 20:03Speaker 1: first week in April as we get to like two
- 20:05Speaker 1: weeks left on the season. What I want to talk
- 20:08Speaker 1: about is defense, And oh my god, I swear, so
- 20:13Speaker 1: I go on DraftKings, I make bets on football, basketball,
- 20:20Speaker 1: you know, stuff like that. I haven't tried baseball. I
- 20:22Speaker 1: tried hockey. Didn't do too great with that, but I
- 20:26Speaker 1: never tried I do. I do. I do NBA and
- 20:32Speaker 1: once in a while I do okay at it. But
- 20:34Speaker 1: the problem is defense. Okay, I feel like the NBA
- 20:40Speaker 1: just has no defense anymore. Like I remember in the nineties,
- 20:43Speaker 1: like it was lockdown defense. NBA teams just playing rough
- 20:49Speaker 1: and tough on defense, the bad boy Pistons against the Bulls,
- 20:54Speaker 1: knocking Michael Jordan down. He didn't get the foul calls
- 20:57Speaker 1: all the time because they let him play. Okay, now
- 21:01Speaker 1: these guys are so worried about filing out of games
- 21:04Speaker 1: because everything is a foul. Last weekend I bet on
- 21:08Speaker 1: the Denver Nuggets game and they were playing Oklahoma City Thunder.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Both teams are decent. The Thunder is first place, and
- 21:17Speaker 1: I think Denver is like right behind them. So I thought, Okay,
- 21:20Speaker 1: Denver does have a chance because it's they're close. They
- 21:23Speaker 1: want to win more games so they could try to
- 21:25Speaker 1: get that number one spot. They came out of halftime,
- 21:28Speaker 1: it was only like a three point lead for Oklahoma
- 21:31Speaker 1: City at that point. They came out and had six
- 21:37Speaker 1: fouls in the first three minutes of the third quarter.
- 21:43Speaker 1: By the nine minute mark, they were already in the
- 21:46Speaker 1: penalty for the rest of the quarter. I was just like, whoa,
- 21:53Speaker 1: And maybe this is why teams don't play a lot
- 21:55Speaker 1: of defense because they're afraid they're just gonna get fouls
- 21:58Speaker 1: all the time. I mean, sometimes I feel like Adam
- 22:04Speaker 1: Silver needs to just let them play and I get it.
- 22:08Speaker 1: You know, some fouls you gotta call, But a little
- 22:11Speaker 1: tiny slap on the wrist when they're going up to
- 22:14Speaker 1: block a shot, you're not gonna always not be able
- 22:16Speaker 1: to do it. And to call fouls out of every
- 22:19Speaker 1: it slows the game down and it bores the fans.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Like Jordan had to be like literally molested by guys
- 22:29Speaker 1: to get good foul calls. Back in the day, Jordan
- 22:32Speaker 1: went to the Jordan went to the line. Don't get
- 22:34Speaker 1: me wrong, Kobe went to the line. But they did
- 22:38Speaker 1: not go to the line as much as these guys do. Now,
- 22:44Speaker 1: my other big beef, and this all came from from
- 22:47Speaker 1: betting we had. We have grade a beef right now
- 22:52Speaker 1: with Zach Levine and DeMar de Rosen. I literally only
- 22:57Speaker 1: needed them to score twenty three points in the game each,
- 23:02Speaker 1: okay against a playoff contending team when they are going
- 23:07Speaker 1: for a playoff spot. So you think that the two
- 23:10Speaker 1: superstars of the team who came from another team where
- 23:13Speaker 1: they were the superstars, could put up twenty three each.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I at one point would have taken either one of
- 23:20Speaker 1: them because I did a pick six on DraftKings, where
- 23:24Speaker 1: you pick six players and you pick the over under, Well,
- 23:26Speaker 1: they get over twenty three or under twenty three gives
- 23:30Speaker 1: you a number. You can do it for points, rebounds, assists.
- 23:33Speaker 1: So I did it for points for them. Think it
- 23:36Speaker 1: at least one of the two gotta get it, because
- 23:38Speaker 1: with the pick six, you only to get the full jackpot,
- 23:43Speaker 1: which is usually eight hundred dollars. If you bet ten dollars,
- 23:46Speaker 1: it's like an eight hundred dollars pot if you pick
- 23:49Speaker 1: all of If you pick all eight, you get eight
- 23:51Speaker 1: hundred dollars. Okay, if you pick if seven of them hit,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you get thirty dollars. Great eight, but you get twenty
- 24:01Speaker 1: dollars extra from what you bet. Okay. Cool. If you
- 24:05Speaker 1: can get six out of the eight, you get ten
- 24:10Speaker 1: dollars back, so you get your money back. I don't
- 24:13Speaker 1: know if you. I think you get whatever you put in.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So I just stay ten because that's what I bet. Now,
- 24:18Speaker 1: if you bet like fifty, you probably get your fifty back,
- 24:21Speaker 1: because I'm thinking that's how they do it. So anyway,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, at least one of them gotta
- 24:28Speaker 1: get it. One of them's gotta get to twenty three.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Had one of them gotten to twenty three, I would
- 24:33Speaker 1: have won my ten dollars back I missed. I guessed
- 24:37Speaker 1: five out of eight. Two of them were Demarta Rosan
- 24:42Speaker 1: and zach Levine. Zach Lavine had seventeen points and Demarta
- 24:48Speaker 1: Rosan had thirteen. How do you call yourself superstars? I
- 24:53Speaker 1: get players have bad games, but how often did Jordan
- 24:59Speaker 1: and Pippen get less than twenty points in a game
- 25:03Speaker 1: in a game of the season, especially towards the end
- 25:06Speaker 1: when it really counted. It got to the point Sacramento
- 25:10Speaker 1: was down by so much they pulled the players out
- 25:13Speaker 1: like five minutes left, and then I knew I was
- 25:15Speaker 1: done because I think had they been in that last
- 25:18Speaker 1: five minutes, at least one of them. I don't know
- 25:29Speaker 1: what to say. I feel that if I feel that,
- 25:36Speaker 1: if you're a superstar player, there's no reason to get
- 25:40Speaker 1: less than twenty three points in a game, especially in
- 25:43Speaker 1: an important game. And I'm not saying that even against
- 25:47Speaker 1: the band teams not important, but it's very important against
- 25:50Speaker 1: playoff contending teams. When you're this close to the playoffs.
- 25:54Speaker 1: We're literally like a month away from the NBA playoffs
- 25:57Speaker 1: starting in the middle of April. This is the crunch
- 26:01Speaker 1: time now for these teams to go out there and
- 26:03Speaker 1: do it. That's my beef with the NBA. No defense
- 26:06Speaker 1: and these players just not giving a shit anymore. As
- 26:09Speaker 1: that's how I feel. I feel like a lot of
- 26:11Speaker 1: these teams, these players just don't care like they used
- 26:14Speaker 1: to care. They get these big deals with guaranteed money,
- 26:18Speaker 1: and they're like, well, if I have an off game,
- 26:20Speaker 1: it's no big deal. It is a big deal. It's
- 26:23Speaker 1: a very big deal. Not just because I could have
- 26:25Speaker 1: won eight hundred dollars if all of them got it right,
- 26:28Speaker 1: but just the fact that this is what you should
- 26:31Speaker 1: do for your team, for your fans that pay money
- 26:35Speaker 1: to go see you and buy your jerseys. I'm wearing
- 26:38Speaker 1: my DeMar DeRozan is in jersey still because I like
- 26:40Speaker 1: him as a player, but he really let me down
- 26:43Speaker 1: in that game. The fact that he only got thirteen
- 26:45Speaker 1: points in a big game. Why go to the basket more,
- 26:51Speaker 1: go to the line at least at least you get
- 26:53Speaker 1: free throws there. If you can't, if you're if you're
- 26:57Speaker 1: taking a few threes and you're missing, try to the basket.
- 27:02Speaker 1: These players are allergic to driving to baskets. It's like
- 27:05Speaker 1: a lot of three pointers and I just don't understand why,
- 27:11Speaker 1: because guys hit threes back in the day. Not saying
- 27:13Speaker 1: they didn't, but I feel like it's just three after three.
- 27:17Speaker 1: After three, you're down by six with ten minutes left.
- 27:20Speaker 1: You don't have to throw up threes. Go to the basket,
- 27:24Speaker 1: get fouled, make a layup, dunk the ball if you miss,
- 27:29Speaker 1: at least you really try to get fouled to get
- 27:31Speaker 1: to the line to have two free throws. You're down six,
- 27:34Speaker 1: even if you're down ten, you it's five baskets. It's
- 27:39Speaker 1: five to two point baskets. If you score a basket,
- 27:42Speaker 1: come back down, play defense, get the ball back and
- 27:45Speaker 1: score again. Boom, you got it. I just don't get it.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't understand it. Maybe it's just me, but I
- 27:56Speaker 1: don't know. But that's it. That's there for the NBA
- 27:59Speaker 1: talk because is making me mad again. I'm bringing up
- 28:02Speaker 1: old things that made me mad back then. All right,
- 28:04Speaker 1: last thing we're gonna talk about in sports before we
- 28:06Speaker 1: switch over to entertainment is WrestleMania coming up. We had
- 28:10Speaker 1: the last pay per view before WrestleMania with Elimination Chamber
- 28:14Speaker 1: last weekend or a couple of weeks ago, and I'm
- 28:17Speaker 1: telling you now it was huge, John Cena, what the
- 28:20Speaker 1: heel turned. But now let's go over some possible WrestleMania predictions,
- 28:28Speaker 1: and let's see if any of these are gonna come
- 28:30Speaker 1: to fruition. And I think they were because one of
- 28:33Speaker 1: the matches i'll tell you about in a minute. I'll
- 28:35Speaker 1: tell you guys about in a second. We'll talk about
- 28:37Speaker 1: it now. Remember WrestleMania is a two night event, so
- 28:42Speaker 1: there's plenty of days for this too, for you know,
- 28:46Speaker 1: these kind of matches. And I think we're gonna have
- 28:48Speaker 1: a big card this year. According to this card that
- 28:50Speaker 1: I'm seeing, there's two four, six, eight, ten, twelve, fourteen matches.
- 28:55Speaker 1: That would be seven a night. That's not bad. And
- 28:58Speaker 1: you know, Triple H goes for like the five a
- 29:00Speaker 1: night for like the smaller pay per views. But this
- 29:03Speaker 1: is WrestleMania. You gotta make it big. These fans want
- 29:06Speaker 1: to be there, they want to sit. Seven matches you
- 29:09Speaker 1: could probably be done in like three three and a
- 29:11Speaker 1: half hours if you really pushed it. You could probably
- 29:14Speaker 1: do about three and a half to four hours a night,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and the fans will love it. It's WrestleMania. This is
- 29:18Speaker 1: that time WrestleMania SummerSlam to do your big matches. So
- 29:22Speaker 1: here's matches that are guaranteed or ones that are rumored
- 29:26Speaker 1: and I think are gonna happen. We'll talk about each one.
- 29:28Speaker 1: We already know John Cena and Cody Rhodes that matches set.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Sino won the Elimination Chamber. He's gonna be the man
- 29:37Speaker 1: taking on Cody Rhodes, Jay Ouso the Royal Rumbo winner
- 29:41Speaker 1: versus Gunther. We already know Tiffany Stratton putting her strap
- 29:45Speaker 1: on the line against the Royal Rumbo winner Charlotte Flair.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And of course now we know that EO Sky will
- 29:52Speaker 1: face off against Biako, but there could be a twist. Yeah,
- 29:58Speaker 1: we haven't seen yet. I think that's gonna go. Rha Ripley,
- 30:02Speaker 1: EO Sky and Bianca. I think you need a little
- 30:05Speaker 1: more star not that Bianca can't hold the match with EO,
- 30:09Speaker 1: but you gotta have a little more star power. This
- 30:10Speaker 1: is WrestleMania. Really doesn't have really anything going into WrestleMania,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and she's one of your big acts, so definitely we
- 30:20Speaker 1: need to see Ria Ripley in that match. I'm still
- 30:23Speaker 1: all for Bianca winning it and take the strap off
- 30:28Speaker 1: of EO that quick. I think EO Sky is just
- 30:32Speaker 1: a holder until Bianca wins it, but I think that
- 30:35Speaker 1: it would be cool to see that. Other matches, I
- 30:38Speaker 1: think we're gonna see this is a This is a
- 30:40Speaker 1: definite see them Punk South Islands and Roman Reigns. After
- 30:44Speaker 1: Roman Reigns pulled South Allans out of the cage and
- 30:48Speaker 1: souther Allands won the match, and then he stomped them,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and then Paul Hayman Huggins see them Punk and that
- 30:55Speaker 1: he spirits them Punk. We're definitely gonna have a triple
- 30:57Speaker 1: threat match now here is what I want to see happen.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I want that to be a number one contenders match
- 31:06Speaker 1: for the champion one of the championships. I don't know
- 31:10Speaker 1: how they're gonna do it because technically Seth and Punk
- 31:15Speaker 1: are on Raw and Romana is on SmackDown, so technically
- 31:20Speaker 1: it would be kind of weird. They could do it
- 31:22Speaker 1: where whatever whoever wins, it's whatever show title you have.
- 31:26Speaker 1: So if Roman wins it, he could go after you know,
- 31:33Speaker 1: Roman could go after Cody Rhodes or John Cena. If
- 31:37Speaker 1: Seth or Saam Punk win, Gunther or jay usso, so yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 1: we'll see how that happens. But I think that match
- 31:45Speaker 1: is definitely gonna be made official by Adam Pierce, Jacob
- 31:50Speaker 1: Fatu and Solo Socoa. That is a definite. These two
- 31:54Speaker 1: are gonna come to a head by wrestle Media. We
- 31:56Speaker 1: had about what five weeks left until WrestleMania, so yeah,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I can definitely see that happening. Hold on one second, alright,
- 32:07Speaker 1: so yeah, I think they're gonna definitely make that match
- 32:10Speaker 1: official too. Let's see what else. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton.
- 32:16Speaker 1: I think that's a definite matchup. We're definitely gonna have that.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Let's see Damien Priest and Drew McIntyre not too excited
- 32:27Speaker 1: about it. I think they're just kind of doing it
- 32:30Speaker 1: because both of them need to be there. I don't
- 32:33Speaker 1: really think there's a great reason for that match. But
- 32:36Speaker 1: we'll see Bailey taking on what's that girl's name from
- 32:42Speaker 1: that xt Roxane Perez. I think that's rox and Perez.
- 32:47Speaker 1: That'd be kind of cool. I would like that. A
- 32:50Speaker 1: lot of these are just filler matches. I mean, obviously, WrestleMania,
- 32:53Speaker 1: you go big, there's gonna be lots of matches. You know,
- 32:57Speaker 1: some will make sense, some won't Naomi and Jade Cargill. Definitely,
- 33:03Speaker 1: they need to. They need to wrestle each other at
- 33:05Speaker 1: Wrestle Media. That's the culmination of this whole thing. The
- 33:09Speaker 1: only thing is Bianca I think would have fit better
- 33:13Speaker 1: in the storyline during the match, but with her, excuse me,
- 33:17Speaker 1: with her having a match, she can't really do much
- 33:21Speaker 1: in that one. Let's see Livin Raquel versus Alexa Bliss
- 33:27Speaker 1: and I don't know who. I don't even see somebody there.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Oh is that Nikki Cross. Oh that'd be cool. That'd
- 33:37Speaker 1: be cool. I like that, that'd be cool. For the
- 33:42Speaker 1: tag team titles, Let's see Logan Paul and aj Styles.
- 33:47Speaker 1: That's definitely gonna happen. Let's see the tag team titles.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Looks like we've got the Motor City machine Guns, the
- 33:56Speaker 1: Street Profits DIY pretty deadly, and there's another team I
- 34:04Speaker 1: don't know who they are. Five tags to five tag teams? Wait, one, two, three, four? Yeah,
- 34:09Speaker 1: five tag teams for the tag team titles and then
- 34:14Speaker 1: the intercontinental title bron breaker. I see Seamus, I see
- 34:22Speaker 1: Pete Dunn, Penta, Finnbaaler and the guy Ludwig Kaiser. Yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 1: For the inter Continental title. Make that. If you're gonna
- 34:35Speaker 1: do it, triple h make it a ladder match. Let's
- 34:38Speaker 1: bring back the IC title ladder match, because we want
- 34:41Speaker 1: to see that. We love those matches. Those were like
- 34:44Speaker 1: the best Russell Media matches. You could do the tag
- 34:48Speaker 1: titles like that too, that'd be cool. One on each night,
- 34:50Speaker 1: do the tag team titles in a ladder match and
- 34:54Speaker 1: then that that'll be cool. I would love that. But
- 34:57Speaker 1: it's a good card, and I hope this happens all.
- 34:59Speaker 1: I think a lot of them will well, they may
- 35:01Speaker 1: not do fourteen matches, they might do twelve, and they'll
- 35:04Speaker 1: pick from this list. Maybe a few will be on
- 35:07Speaker 1: Rawn SmackDown or on SmackDown the night before. You know,
- 35:11Speaker 1: obviously your big matches are gonna be on the card,
- 35:14Speaker 1: but maybe you do Jade and Naomi the night before
- 35:18Speaker 1: WrestleMania on SmackDown. And if you don't want to throw
- 35:21Speaker 1: them in, some of these have to be on there though.
- 35:25Speaker 1: And I think seven matches on each night will be good.
- 35:29Speaker 1: It's gonna be at least a good four hour paper.
- 35:31Speaker 1: You six to ten. Where are they at? They're gonna
- 35:34Speaker 1: be in Vegas. Vegas is two hours behind everybody, so
- 35:38Speaker 1: two hours on the Midwest and three hours on the
- 35:42Speaker 1: East coast. So there you go. I would actually like
- 35:45Speaker 1: that if they did that because they could start at
- 35:48Speaker 1: If they start at six, it would start at four
- 35:51Speaker 1: and then a four hour of that would be over
- 35:53Speaker 1: by eight o'clock for the wrestlers, they would get to
- 35:55Speaker 1: go home, all right. So that is it for our
- 35:58Speaker 1: sports talk. So if you just listen it at my
- 36:00Speaker 1: show for the sports, that's it. It's done. I'm going
- 36:03Speaker 1: into my entertainment stick around, and let's talk about some entertainment.
- 36:07Speaker 1: I want to talk about the movie Fast eleven. It's
- 36:10Speaker 1: going to be filming soon. There's been reports that Vin
- 36:13Speaker 1: Diiezel said it was already filming a little bit. I
- 36:16Speaker 1: don't think so, because I haven't seen anything about it
- 36:19Speaker 1: being but it says pre production, so it doesn't say filming.
- 36:23Speaker 1: But here we go, so Fast eleven. There's rumors about
- 36:28Speaker 1: Cody Walker coming back to play the character of Brian O'Connor,
- 36:36Speaker 1: who was the late Paul Walker's character in the movie.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Here's where the Fast saga I believe went wrong. And
- 36:44Speaker 1: I've been saying this for a long time. Okay, I
- 36:49Speaker 1: love the ending. I thought it was cool with them
- 36:52Speaker 1: staring each other down and smiling at each other. You know,
- 36:56Speaker 1: it was cool with to see you again and everything
- 37:01Speaker 1: one thing. And I love the end with the fork
- 37:05Speaker 1: in the road. Vin Diesel won one way, Paul Walker
- 37:08Speaker 1: went the other way. It was cool. It was a
- 37:11Speaker 1: good ending. But to make sense for the movies, I
- 37:16Speaker 1: believe Paul Walker should have died in that movie. Brian
- 37:20Speaker 1: O'Connor should have passed away in that movie in some form,
- 37:25Speaker 1: whether I mean, you could have did it in other
- 37:27Speaker 1: ways than a car crash. And I get people would say, well,
- 37:30Speaker 1: if he dies in a car crash, he died in
- 37:32Speaker 1: a car crash in real life. That's gonna be really
- 37:35Speaker 1: bad and people aren't gonna like it. Okay, it's an
- 37:37Speaker 1: action movie. He could have died getting shot. There's like
- 37:41Speaker 1: millions of ways they could have killed this character off
- 37:43Speaker 1: in that movie. Because here's the conundrum that you're in.
- 37:49Speaker 1: He has to be in the finale movie if he's alive. Okay,
- 37:53Speaker 1: his character has to be there because his character was
- 37:57Speaker 1: a huge role in all all those movies leading up
- 38:01Speaker 1: to when he died in real life. So you can't
- 38:05Speaker 1: have an ending with al Brian O'Connor there if he's
- 38:09Speaker 1: still alive. You're telling me a guy who spent his
- 38:12Speaker 1: entire life saving Vin Diesel's character and his wife's character
- 38:19Speaker 1: go from being a cop to being a criminal, back
- 38:22Speaker 1: to being a cop, back to being a criminal again.
- 38:26Speaker 1: You're telling you're telling me that he could just retire
- 38:30Speaker 1: and never come back to help them again when they're
- 38:33Speaker 1: in trouble, and the way it's gonna end would have
- 38:38Speaker 1: to be like a big, huge trouble that they get
- 38:43Speaker 1: in to end the movie. So you're telling me he
- 38:45Speaker 1: ain't gonna come back. In real life, if this were
- 38:48Speaker 1: a real life saga, the person wouldn't come back to
- 38:51Speaker 1: save their family, especially if his wife Mia isn't it,
- 38:58Speaker 1: which she will be because she's a big part of
- 38:59Speaker 1: that franchise. You're telling me that he would not come back,
- 39:05Speaker 1: so he has to be there. So now what you
- 39:08Speaker 1: did was you put it in a position where now
- 39:10Speaker 1: we have to see a cgi Brian O'Connor with his
- 39:14Speaker 1: brother playing the role. Not that I'm complaining, because I
- 39:19Speaker 1: love Paul Walker, one of my favorite actors of all time.
- 39:22Speaker 1: But you're telling me, now we gotta see this, and
- 39:25Speaker 1: we got to do it. This way, because yeah, you
- 39:33Speaker 1: have to he has to be in the finale now.
- 39:36Speaker 1: So if you would have killed his character off, there
- 39:38Speaker 1: would have been no way to write him into the
- 39:40Speaker 1: finale except for maybe some images like they did in
- 39:45Speaker 1: the last movie where they showed some images of him
- 39:47Speaker 1: and stuff, But like, as for him being physically in
- 39:50Speaker 1: the movie, you wouldn't have to have him be in there. Yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 1: I you know, like I said, they should have just
- 39:59Speaker 1: did what I thought they should have did, and I
- 40:01Speaker 1: would have been happy with it. They could have killed
- 40:04Speaker 1: them off in any way. It didn't have to be
- 40:09Speaker 1: a car accident. It could have just been, you know,
- 40:14Speaker 1: a gunshot wound by one of the criminals, and that
- 40:18Speaker 1: would have made Vin DE'SI even more mad. That could
- 40:22Speaker 1: have made for a better movie. I don't know. But
- 40:25Speaker 1: we're talking about a movie that sent people, two people
- 40:28Speaker 1: into space in their car, So you know, we're we're
- 40:32Speaker 1: not really going for like the big like, oh, this
- 40:35Speaker 1: isn't a shocker that they're doing this. No, we're not
- 40:38Speaker 1: shocked at all by that. But yeah, so I can't
- 40:42Speaker 1: wait for it to come out. I want to see
- 40:43Speaker 1: how it ends. I love the fast movies, but I'm
- 40:46Speaker 1: glad it's ending because I feel like, you know, you
- 40:50Speaker 1: could do another Hobs and Shaw. You may even be
- 40:53Speaker 1: able to do a movie with like Luda and ty
- 40:55Speaker 1: Reese together with their characters. I think it'd be funny
- 40:58Speaker 1: to see Roman and Teje in a movie together. I
- 41:01Speaker 1: think it'd be funny. You know, there's ways to do
- 41:04Speaker 1: all that. But as for Fast to Fast saga, it
- 41:07Speaker 1: just needs to go now. After this just be done
- 41:12Speaker 1: because you're really running out of things to do with it.
- 41:16Speaker 1: So I mean, at this point, you just gotta go
- 41:24Speaker 1: and you just gotta end it the way it needs
- 41:26Speaker 1: to end, and I hope it's a happy ending. I
- 41:29Speaker 1: hope all of them have one last big familia dinner
- 41:33Speaker 1: around Down's table in La. I'm hoping that happens. But
- 41:37Speaker 1: we'll see. Maybe they'll kill tom Off and that'll really
- 41:41Speaker 1: make it so though it's never gonna be another movie,
- 41:44Speaker 1: you know, I don't know, we'll see what happens. But yeah,
- 41:47Speaker 1: so that's it for that. I mean, this is just
- 41:49Speaker 1: what my thoughts were when I was reading it. I
- 41:51Speaker 1: actually wasn't even gonna talk about that. It just happened
- 41:55Speaker 1: because I saw the story at four o'clock in the
- 41:57Speaker 1: morning last night before I went to bed, I saw
- 42:00Speaker 1: that story and I'm like, I gotta talk about this
- 42:02Speaker 1: because I don't know if I'm a huge fan of it.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I'll see it, but yeah, I wasn't
- 42:07Speaker 1: too big on that. So Lallapaluza announces their big reveal
- 42:12Speaker 1: next Tuesday on all the bands and artists that are
- 42:15Speaker 1: gonna be at Lollapalooza in Grand Park in Chicago this year.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I'm excited for that. We'll have the full list for
- 42:23Speaker 1: you guys next Friday when I do my show or Thursday,
- 42:26Speaker 1: whichever day I do it. So we'll talk about that.
- 42:29Speaker 1: But right now, let's go over some predictions of who
- 42:31Speaker 1: they think maybe at Lollapaluza this year from different genres
- 42:37Speaker 1: of music. And some of these are pretty big names.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I was actually very shocked by it, but they do
- 42:42Speaker 1: get very big names at Lollapalooza, because I mean, we've
- 42:45Speaker 1: had Metallica, We've had Green Day, you know, at a Lollapalooza,
- 42:50Speaker 1: So I mean we do get some big ones. Okay,
- 42:53Speaker 1: So Lollapalooza's confirmed her return to Grand Park this summer.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Lineup is expected to be announced next Tuesday. I already
- 42:59Speaker 1: got the text message saying it was so I get
- 43:02Speaker 1: like the lot of stuff updates on my phone, so
- 43:05Speaker 1: we will definitely get to see who's going to be
- 43:07Speaker 1: doing it. It's become a tradition for fans to guess
- 43:13Speaker 1: who they think is going to be headlining the festival
- 43:16Speaker 1: based on clues like touring dates, album releases, and other
- 43:19Speaker 1: musical festival lineups. The funny thing is the reason I
- 43:22Speaker 1: knew last year that Blink one eighty two was going
- 43:25Speaker 1: to be at Lollapalooza was because they were on tour
- 43:28Speaker 1: at the time when they were going to be here,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and they had a date in Milwaukee the day before,
- 43:35Speaker 1: and then on a Monday, they were going to Minnesota
- 43:40Speaker 1: while Chicago wasn't on the list, and we all know
- 43:44Speaker 1: that Chicago was a big stop for all big bands
- 43:49Speaker 1: to be here, and so I was just like, damn,
- 43:54Speaker 1: they're gonna be at Lollapalooza, and sure enough they were.
- 43:57Speaker 1: So that's why fans can do that. They can kind
- 43:59Speaker 1: of tour dates, music album releases, and they kind of
- 44:03Speaker 1: put it together like they're gonna be there. Let's see.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Some artists are too big to play the festival in
- 44:09Speaker 1: Grand Park, which draws over fifty thousand attendees, a show
- 44:13Speaker 1: that includes Beyonce, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny, neither
- 44:17Speaker 1: of those three of I don't think I've ever been
- 44:19Speaker 1: at a lallapalooza, but they should. I mean, it's a
- 44:23Speaker 1: big concert, it's huge. Why wouldn't you want to be there?
- 44:28Speaker 1: Like seriously, Like I get that you're big. You're this
- 44:31Speaker 1: big country star now. Beyonce, which I mean to me,
- 44:36Speaker 1: she's not a real country singer, but you should be there.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Taylor Swift, do a lava make the Chicago fans happy.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You sold billion dollar tours. You can afford to do
- 44:49Speaker 1: one smaller because fifty thousand is small compared to what
- 44:53Speaker 1: she gets. But come on, you could do a show
- 44:55Speaker 1: and Bad Bunny. Come on, dude, really, I mean you're big,
- 44:58Speaker 1: but damn you could do it. But there has been
- 45:05Speaker 1: it says that doesn't preclude the festival from making a splash.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Some Rubert stars include Olivia Rodrigo, Charlie XCX, and Lizzo,
- 45:15Speaker 1: who are all available for concerts. In early August. Lady
- 45:20Speaker 1: Gaga to just dropped a new album and just hosted
- 45:23Speaker 1: SNL last weekend, so she could be there too. She's
- 45:26Speaker 1: already played it twice, but the last time was in
- 45:29Speaker 1: twenty ten, so it's been a while. Lola loves to
- 45:32Speaker 1: book headliners hip hop headliners. Recent examples, I mean I'm
- 45:39Speaker 1: Kanye Wez, J Cole at Outcast, I mean em did
- 45:42Speaker 1: all La Paluza a long time ago, but don't expect
- 45:46Speaker 1: hip hop stars on the biggest hip hop stars on
- 45:49Speaker 1: the planet, Kendrick Lamar to come back to the festival.
- 45:52Speaker 1: He plays at Soldier Field in June. Usually, stars who
- 45:55Speaker 1: are on the summer tours aren't eligible for a lot
- 45:58Speaker 1: of Palooza, so you're not gonna see Kendrick Lamar. He's
- 46:00Speaker 1: not gonna be yelling Mustard, He's not gonna diss Drake
- 46:03Speaker 1: in front of the Chicago fans at Lallapalooza, but you
- 46:07Speaker 1: can't get tickets to see him at Soldier Field in June.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Same goes with Tyler the Creator. He's gonna be at
- 46:13Speaker 1: the United Center in July, and Post Malone, who's been
- 46:15Speaker 1: at Lallapalooza, is gonna be at Wrigley Field in May,
- 46:19Speaker 1: so they're already gonna be out here so they won't
- 46:21Speaker 1: do it twice. The choice of the article that I
- 46:26Speaker 1: got this from was do Chi the Rising Star one
- 46:29Speaker 1: Best Rap Album at the Grammys and isn't touring in
- 46:33Speaker 1: early August, so he could be there. Lallapalooza could also
- 46:37Speaker 1: get Chapel Rowan to come back for rock and roll.
- 46:42Speaker 1: Lallapalooza loves to pick a vintage rock headliner. Red Hot
- 46:45Speaker 1: Chili Peppers, food Fighters a Metallica have all headlined recently,
- 46:49Speaker 1: So yeah, food Fighters, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers. I
- 46:53Speaker 1: think we're last year. Actually they were just here. Batallico
- 46:56Speaker 1: was here before. There's rumors that Green Day, Vampire, Weekend,
- 47:01Speaker 1: Tame and Paula and Avril Levine might be there. These
- 47:05Speaker 1: are rumors, though, but Green Day and Avril Levine that
- 47:09Speaker 1: would be huge. Somebody said, how about Nirvana the bandmates
- 47:13Speaker 1: reunited for the SNL fiftieth concert. Would post Malone replacing
- 47:17Speaker 1: Kirk Cobain? They only did one song at the reunion,
- 47:20Speaker 1: but how hard can it be to learn all in? Nevermind?
- 47:23Speaker 1: The problem is, though, post Malone's already gonna be on tour,
- 47:27Speaker 1: so if you did get Nirvana back together for it,
- 47:31Speaker 1: who are you gonna have doing the Kirk Cobain part
- 47:35Speaker 1: where he sings that might be a little hard to do.
- 47:42Speaker 1: It says that Laala also loves local favorites. So here's
- 47:45Speaker 1: something that we can see Smashing Pumpkins. Chance the rapper
- 47:51Speaker 1: Little Dirk might be going to jail so he won't
- 47:53Speaker 1: be there, but Fallout Boy, that might be a good one.
- 47:57Speaker 1: The emo pop band has reunited, and although they are
- 48:00Speaker 1: loyal to Riotfest, we could see them rocking a Saturday
- 48:04Speaker 1: night in Hutchington Field, so that would be big too.
- 48:08Speaker 1: So that's a list of some of the possibilities for
- 48:11Speaker 1: Lo La Paluza this year. You know, I would love
- 48:17Speaker 1: Lo La Plauz that I have ever Levina green Day.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I would love it to be out of Friday because
- 48:22Speaker 1: maybe I'll get tickets because I would love to go
- 48:24Speaker 1: see Avril Levin and Green Day. I don't know if
- 48:26Speaker 1: they do the same night, though they're big headliners, they
- 48:28Speaker 1: probably would have their own night. But you can still
- 48:31Speaker 1: get your LOLLA tickets. You can go to La Paluza
- 48:33Speaker 1: dot com and get your tickets. Get them now because
- 48:36Speaker 1: once that lineup is announced and people know who's gonna
- 48:39Speaker 1: be there, they're gonna want to get their tickets for it.
- 48:42Speaker 1: I love lollapaluz I've never been to it, but I
- 48:44Speaker 1: watch it on Hulu because Hulu does their Lallapaluza stuff,
- 48:49Speaker 1: so I've watched it before that I enjoy it. Let's
- 48:52Speaker 1: move on to our last two topics of the day.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Oh oh, one day I want to talk about. I
- 48:59Speaker 1: just saw this today on March eighth, Disturbed, seven Dust
- 49:04Speaker 1: and three days Grace. We're at the United Center performing
- 49:07Speaker 1: a concert, and I guess they accidentally burn the banners
- 49:13Speaker 1: for the Bulls championship banners that were hanging there. So
- 49:17Speaker 1: if you were at the United Center this last week
- 49:20Speaker 1: and all the way through the end of the season,
- 49:23Speaker 1: you will not be able to take pictures of the
- 49:25Speaker 1: iconic championship banners. They had to take them down because
- 49:29Speaker 1: they set up the pyro I guess underneath the banners,
- 49:33Speaker 1: and I guess from the flames going too high. It
- 49:36Speaker 1: must have did damage somehow to all the banners and
- 49:40Speaker 1: they had to take them all down and get them
- 49:42Speaker 1: redone because of that. So, yeah, if you go to
- 49:45Speaker 1: the United Center for Bulls or Hawks games or anything
- 49:49Speaker 1: right now until the end of April. You won't see
- 49:51Speaker 1: the championship banners hanging up right now, so you're definitely
- 49:54Speaker 1: not gonna get your photo op there, you know where
- 49:56Speaker 1: you take a selfie with the banners behind you. Yeah,
- 49:59Speaker 1: not gonna happen for a little while. That's crazy. I'm
- 50:01Speaker 1: sure Disturbed feels bad because it's their tour and I
- 50:06Speaker 1: believe the lead singer of Disturbed as from Chicago, so
- 50:10Speaker 1: that's even harder for him, you know, being a lifelong
- 50:14Speaker 1: fan of Chicago. Yes, I just looked it up while
- 50:17Speaker 1: we were doing it. He was born in New York,
- 50:19Speaker 1: but he lived in Chicago as a kid, so like
- 50:22Speaker 1: they moved from New York after he was born, and
- 50:24Speaker 1: he grew up in Chicago, so he wasn't born here,
- 50:27Speaker 1: but he was raised here. So for him, I mean,
- 50:30Speaker 1: let's let me look really quick at this. He was
- 50:33Speaker 1: born in nineteen seventy three, so by the time the
- 50:36Speaker 1: Bulls were already winning championships in the nineties, he was
- 50:39Speaker 1: already like twenty years old, seventeen to twenty years old
- 50:44Speaker 1: when they started winning their first three. So yeah, he
- 50:48Speaker 1: David Draymond, I'm sure the dude feels really bad about that.
- 50:52Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if it was necessarily from
- 50:54Speaker 1: just his show a part of it. I mean, I'm
- 50:56Speaker 1: sure Avenge Sevenfold and Three Days Grace, I'm sure they
- 51:02Speaker 1: used the pyro too. Most of them do. So yeah,
- 51:05Speaker 1: that's crazy. And really, if you think about it, if
- 51:10Speaker 1: you really, if you really really think about it, they
- 51:16Speaker 1: the company that sets up the pyro should have known
- 51:20Speaker 1: where to put it, Like why would you put it
- 51:23Speaker 1: right under the banners for the bulls like you see them?
- 51:26Speaker 1: I mean, you can't miss them. And it's a Chicago
- 51:29Speaker 1: company that does it. Because the companies that they use
- 51:33Speaker 1: pyro from. The Pyro's not coming with them in the
- 51:36Speaker 1: trucks when they deliver the stage and all that that's
- 51:39Speaker 1: from a local company. Every singer, every band, every wrestling
- 51:44Speaker 1: show that uses pyro, they use local companies for it.
- 51:49Speaker 1: So like when WWE's SmackDown comes to Chicago in April
- 51:55Speaker 1: on April fourth, I think it's a Friday, they're gonna
- 51:57Speaker 1: be here for SmackDown, Triple H's and bringing his own
- 52:00Speaker 1: pyro with them. They buy the pyro from a Chicago
- 52:04Speaker 1: company and they're the ones that blow off the pyro
- 52:07Speaker 1: because they know how to do it. When to do it.
- 52:10Speaker 1: They're cute when to do it, they know what to do.
- 52:13Speaker 1: So yeah, I mean, come on, there, should know better
- 52:17Speaker 1: than to stick it underneath the banner of the Chicago Bulls.
- 52:19Speaker 1: That was stupid. So that's not I'm disturbed. That's on
- 52:22Speaker 1: more on everybody else. But let's go into the box
- 52:25Speaker 1: office reviews and see where everything landed last week. Let
- 52:31Speaker 1: me find it. But yeah, I do feel bad for Disturbed.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I'm sure they feel bad about it. They're probably like,
- 52:39Speaker 1: oh man, you know, nobody wants to nobody wants to
- 52:43Speaker 1: mess up like that and something like that. So here
- 52:46Speaker 1: you go. Here was the box from last week. Let's
- 52:48Speaker 1: see where all the movies landed. Number ten last weekend
- 52:51Speaker 1: did one point one million dollars in the weekend and
- 52:54Speaker 1: total gross. In its first week, it was called in
- 52:57Speaker 1: the Lost Lands. Number nine was Rule Breakers. That was
- 53:02Speaker 1: their first week out. It did one point five million
- 53:05Speaker 1: at the weekend gross two point one million total gross.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Move fast to The Lion King, still at number eight,
- 53:12Speaker 1: still coming in the top ten. It's twelfth week out
- 53:15Speaker 1: already weekend gross of one point seven million, two hundred
- 53:18Speaker 1: and fifty one million total. The movie and Nora did
- 53:22Speaker 1: one point eight million, coming in at number seven at
- 53:25Speaker 1: the weekend gross nineteen million total gross in twenty one weeks. Wow,
- 53:30Speaker 1: twenty one weeks. Oh my gosh, that's a lot of weeks.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Why is it still at the box office? They're really
- 53:37Speaker 1: try nineteen million? They didn't even make a million a week.
- 53:41Speaker 1: They made less than a million a week. I think
- 53:42Speaker 1: it's time to pull that from the theater and try
- 53:44Speaker 1: your luck on maybe streaming services or something. Dog Man
- 53:49Speaker 1: number six at the box office last weekend with a
- 53:52Speaker 1: weekend gross of three point four million ninety million total gross.
- 53:57Speaker 1: In six Weeksington in Peru a weekend gross of three
- 54:03Speaker 1: point seven million, total gross of thirty eight million, and
- 54:06Speaker 1: four weeks number four was The Monkey did thirty nine
- 54:10Speaker 1: or thirty three point nine million total gross we got
- 54:14Speaker 1: gross and thirty two million total gross and three weeks
- 54:18Speaker 1: Last Breath came in at number three, four point one
- 54:21Speaker 1: million total gross of sixteen million. In two weeks. Captain
- 54:25Speaker 1: America a Brave New World still coming into the top two.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Actually this is its first week that was number two.
- 54:33Speaker 1: It was number one for three weeks in a row.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Eight point four million last weekend one hundred and seventy
- 54:40Speaker 1: nine million total gross in the four weeks, and the
- 54:43Speaker 1: number one movie at the box office was Mickey six
- 54:47Speaker 1: or Mikey saying seventeen nineteen million total gross in its
- 54:52Speaker 1: first weekend, twenty five million total gross in the first
- 54:55Speaker 1: week release. What is that movie about? What's Mikey seventeen? Huh?
- 55:07Speaker 1: Says Mikey seventeen known as an expendable goes on a
- 55:12Speaker 1: dangerous journey to colonize an ice planet. Never heard of
- 55:16Speaker 1: that movie. Robert Pattinson's in it, though, so it does
- 55:19Speaker 1: have some big stars in it. Yeah, well, it came
- 55:22Speaker 1: in at number one at the box office. It beat
- 55:24Speaker 1: out Captain America. Captain America though, did three weeks at
- 55:27Speaker 1: number one and the fourth weekend number two, so they're
- 55:30Speaker 1: not hurting at all. One hundred and seventy nine million
- 55:32Speaker 1: in the first four weeks is not a bad total,
- 55:35Speaker 1: all right. So let's see now it's Saint Patrick's Day weekend.
- 55:39Speaker 1: A lot of stuff to do this weekend. Make sure
- 55:42Speaker 1: that you get out there. Supposed to be like sixty
- 55:44Speaker 1: two on Saturday. Sunday is supposed to be cold forty
- 55:47Speaker 1: two degrees, so you might not be able to do much,
- 55:49Speaker 1: and I think it's gonna be in the fifties on Monday,
- 55:52Speaker 1: on actual Saint Patrick's Day. So let's look at a
- 55:55Speaker 1: list of things to do this weekend on Saint Patty's
- 55:57Speaker 1: Day weekend. Of course, tomorrow morning early, they are going
- 56:01Speaker 1: to die the Chicago River green. So if you want
- 56:03Speaker 1: to get there, you gotta get there early because I
- 56:06Speaker 1: think they do it around like nine in the morning,
- 56:08Speaker 1: so you gotta be there early to watch. But that's cool.
- 56:10Speaker 1: They take the boat across the river and they die
- 56:13Speaker 1: in all green. So let's look on and see what
- 56:16Speaker 1: they got going this weekend. Let's see, all right, So
- 56:25Speaker 1: we've got dying of the Chicago River, a tradition since
- 56:28Speaker 1: nineteen sixty two. Representatives of the Journeyman Plumbers Local one
- 56:32Speaker 1: thirty pour die into Chicago River on the morning of
- 56:36Speaker 1: the annual Saint Patrick's Day parade, turning the water a
- 56:39Speaker 1: bright shade of green, not the dark, misty shade of
- 56:42Speaker 1: green that it normally is. The die is vegetable based,
- 56:46Speaker 1: so the river typically reverts to its usual murky staved
- 56:50Speaker 1: shade by the end of the weekend. That sounds bad.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Some countries got crystal clear water We've got friggin' nasty
- 56:57Speaker 1: green water, all right. The Chicago River dying takes place
- 57:01Speaker 1: between Columbus Drive and Orleans Street, So snag as spot
- 57:05Speaker 1: along Upper Whacker for the best site. You got to
- 57:09Speaker 1: get there early, like I said, because they do it early.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Also this weekend, the Chicago Saint Patrick's Day Parade is
- 57:15Speaker 1: going to be March fifteenth, which again that Saturday, the
- 57:19Speaker 1: same day it says for that one. After the Chicago
- 57:22Speaker 1: River has died a murky shade of green, the city's
- 57:26Speaker 1: big Saint Patty's Day celebration moves to Grand Park for
- 57:30Speaker 1: a parade on Columbus Drive. You'll see bagpipes, drum corps,
- 57:34Speaker 1: Irish dancers, and politicians at this festive procession celebrating its
- 57:39Speaker 1: seventieth year, so they've been dying the river for sixty
- 57:42Speaker 1: two years and seventy years of a parade. The parade
- 57:45Speaker 1: will start at Balboa Drive and Columbus Drive and proceed
- 57:52Speaker 1: north with a viewing stands situated in front of Buckingham Fountain.
- 57:56Speaker 1: For more info, including where to watch and the best
- 57:59Speaker 1: places of the eden, check out the go to Timeout
- 58:03Speaker 1: Chicago dot com and go check out the guy to
- 58:06Speaker 1: Chicago's Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Let's see what else this weekend.
- 58:12Speaker 1: The South Side Irish Prede is gonna be Sunday, not
- 58:15Speaker 1: the same day. This one's gonna be Sunday, March sixteenth.
- 58:18Speaker 1: The South Side hosts its annual Saint Patty's Day celebration,
- 58:21Speaker 1: champion the holiday in some of Chicago's most historically Irish neighborhoods.
- 58:27Speaker 1: The procession of floats, bagpipes on marching bands moves south
- 58:30Speaker 1: a Western Avenue, beginning at one hundred and third Street
- 58:33Speaker 1: and ending at one hundred and fifteenth Street, so make
- 58:36Speaker 1: sure you check that out. The Northwest Side Irish Parade
- 58:39Speaker 1: is March sixteenth. Also, the Loop and the South Side
- 58:42Speaker 1: of Chicago host well known Saint Patty's Day celebrations, but
- 58:45Speaker 1: the city's northwest side gets in on the festivities too.
- 58:49Speaker 1: Pray kicks off at noon in front of William j.
- 58:51Speaker 1: Onen School and goes southwest on Neola Avenue and northwest
- 58:56Speaker 1: on Northwest Highway to Harlem Avenue, So make sure you
- 58:59Speaker 1: check that out. The Archer Avenue Saint Patrick's Day Parade
- 59:03Speaker 1: is Saturday. My God, there's parades all over the city.
- 59:07Speaker 1: The South Side commonly community parade put on by the
- 59:10Speaker 1: International Union of Operating Engineers Local one P fifty and
- 59:15Speaker 1: the clear Ridge Men's Social Athletic Club, steps off at
- 59:18Speaker 1: noon and it runs east down Archer Avenue from oak
- 59:22Speaker 1: Park Avenue to Merrimack Avenue. Proceeds from the event will
- 59:26Speaker 1: benefit local organizations. The Avondale Saint Patrick's Day Parade March fifteenth,
- 59:33Speaker 1: Popular Irish pub Chief O'Neals host the third annual Saint
- 59:37Speaker 1: Patrick's Day Parade in Avondale. The march kicks off at
- 59:41Speaker 1: ten am on March fifteenth, followed by live entertainment and
- 59:44Speaker 1: an Irish buffet all day long at Chief O'Neills. That's
- 59:48Speaker 1: Awesome Saint Patrick's Day at Timeout Market. After the dying
- 59:53Speaker 1: of the river and the parade, head out to Timeout
