- 0:00I got these creepy 3D printed cows and I opened them and I'm
- 0:04like who sent this to me? They're really cute.
- 0:09They're creep. Look at the eyes though, They're
- 0:11really. Cute.
- 0:12Are they? Yeah, are.
- 0:13They the big bulging. Eyes, yeah.
- 0:17Here it's. It's kawaii cow.
- 0:20It's literally kawaii. Cow.
- 0:21No, can't. Can you see it?
- 0:24Yeah, don't. I don't.
- 0:40Yeah, I see. We just get this one out and let
- 0:44everybody know what's going on in the updates and what we did
- 0:47and yadda yadda. But next week.
- 0:50It'll. Be a lot more polished.
- 0:52Psychic story. Neighbor.
- 0:56Meta Psychic. Yeah, we got to tell back.
- 1:03After she met a psychic, she's been having a lot of dreams that
- 1:07become reality and it's fucked up.
- 1:11It's like allegories for life too.
- 1:15She has a dream that I stabbed her in the back.
- 1:18Like that was the dream. And then the next day she's
- 1:20like, see, see, we're arguing and I'm like, don't you start
- 1:23with me? Don't.
- 1:25Don't, no. That's not that's not the same.
- 1:28You want to talk about that dream really quick?
- 1:30He he stabs me in the back. I like lay down, pass out for a
- 1:35second, get back up and he goes, oh, you're not dead.
- 1:38Let me clean up your wounds. And I'm like, I love you, wild.
- 1:47Like I'm just say, thankfully she's not one of those ones that
- 1:55I wake up and she's like staring at me.
- 1:59I'm so glad. That's what is it, Twilight?
- 2:06Was that twilight? He was staring at her like on
- 2:12her windowsill, wasn't she? No, in her bedroom.
- 2:16In her bedroom. And then she would wake up and
- 2:18he, like it, wasn't there anymore.
- 2:23Shout out to all our Twilight lovers.
- 2:26Let us know if you're a Jacob or an Edward fan.
- 2:32I went to school with a guy named Edward Cullen.
- 2:36You did not. Was he 111 years old?
- 2:43No. Speaking of movies, So I told
- 2:49everybody I wanted to go back to media and start ripping them so
- 2:52I can have my own streaming service like in house server.
- 2:57And for Christmas I got like a stack of 6 from somebody and
- 3:00then another stack of 6 from somebody and then another stack
- 3:03of 6 from somebody. So I doubled my movie collection
- 3:07in like a weekend. There you go.
- 3:11So now I've got like at least 40-50 something like that.
- 3:15So now I need a a Ripper and a whole lot of space.
- 3:23Yeah. I'm gonna, I don't even know
- 3:25what. Luckily if you do 1080P it
- 3:27shouldn't be too terrible. But I want that 4K, yeah.
- 3:34Was that 10 gigs? Fine.
- 3:37Depends. On a 4K.
- 3:39If you do a low bit rate 4K you can you can do smaller.
- 3:44Who wants a low bit rate? They already put it out in low
- 3:52bitrate. What are we, France Fair?
- 3:58Russia. Maduro.
- 4:01Maduro. Yes.
- 4:03We're a legend to He literally is getting off the plane with
- 4:07OPSEC and he's like happy New year.
- 4:09It's like what happened. My favorite is what was it like
- 4:162 months ago? He's literally like, I'm in
- 4:19Caracas, come get me and. Did he say that?
- 4:24Oh yeah, no, he full on. He was like Trump.
- 4:27I you won't come get me. You're too scared.
- 4:31And boom. And now the president of
- 4:34Colombia is saying, well, come get me next.
- 4:38And I'm just waiting for Trump to call his bluff.
- 4:42We don't actually go get him. We just act like we're gonna.
- 4:45He's like, wait, wait, wait, wait.
- 4:46Hang on, hang on. We.
- 4:47Said We send the, the SEAL team, whatever, and they go knock on
- 4:53his front door. Just knock on it.
- 4:55Just. Slide a letter under.
- 4:57We could've, yeah. Slide a letter Hello, we were
- 5:00here. We don't feel like we're.
- 5:02Watching your every move. I don't know what any of this
- 5:08means. We suggest you put mustard on
- 5:12that burger instead. Yep.
- 5:15I don't like mustard. We can't talk about food.
- 5:19I'm hungry. Mustard.
- 5:21I'm so hungry. I think I've had a single junior
- 5:26Wendy's burger today. I had some squash bread.
- 5:35We can't talk about food. And then some chicken, rice and
- 5:42peas with some of the hot honey sriracha.
- 5:50Sauce. She's so good, actively turning
- 5:53green. For those of you who may not
- 6:01know, because I don't know if Ryan's going to put it in there,
- 6:0320 minutes ago, I was just throwing my guts up.
- 6:06So no. I won't put that in there.
- 6:09On recording. It's pretty good.
- 6:13It's it's aggressive. Yeah, I could hear it.
- 6:17We're going to sell that audio to like an anime firm.
- 6:19Oh my God, they use it for a fight sequence.
- 6:23I love this conversation so much I'd.
- 6:27So, Justin, I do have a sound pad right here that I could put
- 6:31that on to. You know what?
- 6:32I saw the sound pad and I thought to myself, I have to put
- 6:37that away because I will not control myself.
- 6:40I will. I will do crickets every time
- 6:42you talk. I can't do it.
- 6:44Since we're already on the topic about it, what was that one
- 6:47thing that we were talking about?
- 6:50And then I looked it up and I couldn't even last four seconds
- 6:53with it. Oh, I told her who's got the
- 6:56best, like, gag noises in the industry.
- 7:02Yeah. And it's it's Adriana Chikek.
- 7:08So go. Ahead, I'm already right there,
- 7:10so we put. On a video we put on a video of
- 7:13like her, like most famous sound bites compilation, she lasted 4
- 7:19seconds. I'm not kidding.
- 7:23She turned the video on and at 4 seconds she paused it.
- 7:25She goes. I cannot listen to that.
- 7:27My brain, we were, we were talking about like, like gags or
- 7:32whatever, like like choking on the big biz.
- 7:38They're hilarious to me, by the way.
- 7:39I think it's hilarious. I don't know why in my brain it
- 7:43would sound so much different than the sound of throwing up
- 7:49and I can't stand she's having a hard time.
- 7:51Talking about it, she's actively like trying not to throw up.
- 7:56It's so funny. I.
- 7:56Do have a trash can next to me so if it happens kudos but.
- 8:01Oh, it's so funny. I literally like, I don't, I
- 8:03don't know what I was expecting and I'm like, he goes just
- 8:08search up like the best gag sounds or something like that.
- 8:12Were you? Expecting like sexy porn star.
- 8:14Yeah, OK, I got you. No, not not throwing up.
- 8:18And no, we're literally in the car and I'm just like, it's a
- 8:25like a 30 minute. No, it's a 30 minute like
- 8:28compilation of like the best. Bro 30 minutes.
- 8:32The best sounds. Who last 30 minutes?
- 8:36Down. Oh, we didn't have it connected
- 8:38to the car. It was just in my hand and we
- 8:43had the windows up and everything and it didn't
- 8:46register until 4 seconds into it.
- 8:49Yeah. So they made this sound.
- 8:51They made this sound again. And then there was like a really
- 8:53long 1 and I was like, no, absolutely not.
- 9:00You boys know what the sound is? That's so funny.
- 9:03Oh my God. Yeah. 4 seconds.
- 9:06She, she literally handed me the phone.
- 9:08She's like, please, please pause it.
- 9:10I can't even pause it. And I rolled the window down and
- 9:13I stuck my head out. Thankfully I didn't throw up,
- 9:15but it was down the streets of Sanford going to your house.
- 9:21That's so funny. Oh my God, we were talking about
- 9:27something with it though, and it was even funny.
- 9:30I'm. So hungry, right?
- 9:32Now, Oh my God. I'm starving.
- 9:35So we're slowly but surely moving everything from the back
- 9:43bedrooms to one of them instead of having both of them full of
- 9:47storage. And we're going to turn the left
- 9:51most back bedroom into her studio for her art and her paint
- 9:56and her candle making. Or I, I guess my candle making
- 10:01and then put the podcast in there as well, but do a do a
- 10:06corner that's actually sound deadened so we can talk into it.
- 10:10And actually instead of Verberate and all that stuff.
- 10:13I know the mics are good in the the AI suppressions gotten
- 10:16better, but we're still trying to like, you know, keep it fresh
- 10:19and clear. Yeah.
- 10:21I mean, any, anything to provide support to that is going to
- 10:24help. It's good.
- 10:27But anything you can do in the room to sound Eden is just going
- 10:32to make it that much better. I mean, that's just how it
- 10:34works. No, we're doing.
- 10:35When it's spectacular. I'll say it's it's already a
- 10:39pretty soft room, but it needs stuff on the floor, stuff on the
- 10:43walls, maybe something in the corner all.
- 10:45You really have to do is take away areas for it to bounce.
- 10:52So if you when you set up, if you set up like those moving
- 10:58blankets or those curtains like we did in my office.
- 11:01I forgot about the moving blankets, yeah.
- 11:03Just hang them behind you. That'll that'll be perfect.
- 11:07Or take a clothes rack, literally a clothes rack with a
- 11:11bunch of clothes hanging on it and hang it behind you.
- 11:13That'll eat all the sound bouncing around the room.
- 11:16That's what we've got in here. Literally a massive closet with
- 11:19all of our like big fluffy stuff.
- 11:22Like out in the middle of the room, the closets it, it has to
- 11:27specifically go in there and once it goes in there it'll just
- 11:30kind of bounce around in there. So you won't get much echo from
- 11:33that anyways. But if you just had like a just
- 11:37some sort of like hanger system and hung a blanket over the top
- 11:42of that, that would kill 50% of the the sound bouncing.
- 11:48Yeah, as long as it's a heavy blanket.
- 11:51Ryan, we had to buy clothes. We had to buy winter clothes.
- 11:58Yep, we had to buy. You've seen all of our clothes.
- 12:03You know how many baskets of clothes we had?
- 12:06We had to. We had to buy more clothes,
- 12:08Ryan. I'm wearing my jacket right now
- 12:11inside. I see that.
- 12:13I see that. Brother, it's good.
- 12:15It's got lining and everything like.
- 12:19We bought a heated blanket. Yep, all the other fluffy
- 12:24blankets because, you know, he hates me having all those
- 12:27blankets. We have blankets now.
- 12:28There's so many blankets. There's two blankets per couch
- 12:32and I'm freaking out. Yeah, pretty much, yeah.
- 12:38We bought all the clothes. You should see the closet.
- 12:42It's literally like, how long would you say that is?
- 12:4512 feet. And it's stacked with all of my
- 12:50shirts mostly couple of his. I've big old dresser that barely
- 12:56fits our pants and my pants and shorts and everything and then
- 13:01he has 9 cubbies. Yeah, it's pissing me off.
- 13:07Full of clothes and then we still have a basket each of
- 13:11clothes that are clean and a dirty basket.
- 13:14Yep, that's pissing me off. So Speaking of how cold it is,
- 13:22my my parents came down this past weekend and when they came
- 13:27down it's one of the nights got down to 33°.
- 13:33In Florida. In Florida, yeah.
- 13:36So everybody that they saw and like I introduced them to, they
- 13:42all asked, why'd you bring the cold weather down here?
- 13:46But my mom got out of the car. She goes, this is not OK.
- 13:51She left. She left freezing weather only
- 13:55to come to slightly above freezing weather.
- 13:59Everybody's pissed. Different to like Florida cold
- 14:02is a lot worse than. Well, it's so it's just the
- 14:07humidity, it's. Wet.
- 14:09Yeah, it's a wet cold, so you feel like you're damp the entire
- 14:13time, whereas up there it's a lot drier, all the humidity kind
- 14:18of leaves. So it's a completely different
- 14:22type of cold. So I always say a 40° Florida
- 14:28cold would be equivalent to like a 15 to 20° Illinois cold just
- 14:36because. Of the.
- 14:37The wetness. I hate it so much.
- 14:39All of it. I don't care what where we are,
- 14:43every frickin morning, every frickin morning up here, the
- 14:46ground is frozen and then the fucking there's ice on the
- 14:49windshield and the fucking door handles are frozen and I just
- 14:52want to die like. And his feet are always ice.
- 14:55Scraper. You should have His feet are
- 14:59always His feet are always cold too.
- 15:01Yeah, my feet were like warm for a full week in Florida.
- 15:04I never once wanted to wear, like, heavy shoes or more socks.
- 15:08Dude, they have been. I'm not shitting you.
- 15:11She felt my toes last night. They are, they are a dead body
- 15:16cold. They are frozen cold and I can
- 15:19never get them to warm up. Like for like 2 months.
- 15:22We go down to Florida, they're warm, perfect warm.
- 15:24Never even thought about them for like a week.
- 15:26The second we come back they are ice cold again.
- 15:29I'm like, motherfucker, I can't stand it, dude.
- 15:33Classic. That's so funny.
- 15:36So I got to take my mom and dad to go see the manatees.
- 15:42And the Lantern Fest. We'll get.
- 15:45To that manatees. The manatees, we didn't go the
- 15:51day we went. We were planning on going New
- 15:53Year's Day, but there was like a 75 minute wait to even get up
- 16:00close to getting into the park. That was their estimate.
- 16:04I guarantee you it probably would have been like 2 hours
- 16:07with the amount of cars because it was down.
- 16:09It was, I don't know if you've been to Blue Springs, but it, it
- 16:13was down the dirt Rd. past the the entrance point and then
- 16:19wrapped back around, came all the way back down that dirt Rd.
- 16:23into the entrance. So there was when we got up to
- 16:27that front area, there was probably 100 cars in front of
- 16:31us. Blue Springs, the wall with the
- 16:35pancake place. No, that's Dalian.
- 16:38Blue Springs is there in Orange City.
- 16:40Oh no, I never went to Blue Springs.
- 16:42I'll say that I passed it constantly, but I've never been
- 16:45there because so many people. Exactly what you're talking
- 16:47about is the reason I never went.
- 16:49I would go north an hour and go to daily on instead.
- 16:53Yeah, yeah. So it's, it's a fantastic park
- 16:57if you can get in there. That's the only thing.
- 17:01So we went up there just in case we saw how many people we turned
- 17:04around. We're like, we're going to wake
- 17:06up first thing in the morning because we had already planned
- 17:08on hitting the beach the next day because that's what my mom
- 17:12wanted to do, which is fair enough.
- 17:14So we're like on our way to the beach.
- 17:17Let's just go there as soon as they open the gates so that we
- 17:21can get in and and see them. But the day that we had intended
- 17:24on going, they had 700 manatees in there.
- 17:29Yeah, they said that's insane, by the way.
- 17:32And they said recently they took it off the endangered list and
- 17:36now it's just protected. That's the first time in like 20
- 17:38years I've heard that I've lived there my entire life.
- 17:41Like that's nuts. But yeah, when we went, there
- 17:47was in the realm of 550 manatees, so there was still a
- 17:52ton of them, but they're some of the most adorable fat loafs of
- 17:59bread floating in the water. They're scary as shit when you
- 18:04don't know they're there. When you don't know they're
- 18:08there, man, that's the scariest thing in the world.
- 18:10They're super social too, because so they'll come up and
- 18:13bump the boat. The guys, the people out there
- 18:17counting and like tracking all the manatees out on the water in
- 18:20a canoe. They had manatees coming up and
- 18:23just bumping the boat. Like, no, you couldn't pay me to
- 18:27do that job. That's a damn good job.
- 18:31As as much fun as it would be to be around manatees all day, then
- 18:37just coming up and bumping their noses into the boat and just
- 18:41like spinning you like a top on the water, no, I couldn't do
- 18:45that. I think I could.
- 18:47Oh. Yeah, I love it.
- 18:51I'd just be afraid of tipping over.
- 18:55I'll say because the manatees will tip you and then the Gators
- 18:57are like, who's that? Because they're right next to
- 19:01them, like in the same water, right?
- 19:03Or on the bank, like I'll tell you what.
- 19:05So much fish in that that spring as well, there was so many gar.
- 19:15I don't think I've seen that much GAR in one place.
- 19:19They're massive too. They're huge.
- 19:22They're literally called alligator car.
- 19:24Do they get up if you let them? They'll get up to like 6 1/2
- 19:27seven feet. They look like arapaima or the
- 19:32the toothed fish out of the Amazon.
- 19:34It's insane. The same fish that's in Sword in
- 19:39the Stone. They're, yeah, they're crazy and
- 19:45and being so close, 'cause like right on the right on the water.
- 19:51It's it's something else. I say we don't have pretty much
- 19:57anything out here. It's it's like I don't even know
- 20:00how to describe it. It's you got like a swan park,
- 20:04like a lake, but it's like a man made thing literally called Swan
- 20:08Lake and that's pretty much it. You do whatever you want.
- 20:13There's a there's a giant lake right in the middle of the state
- 20:17and everybody just goes there. There's no, they don't have
- 20:22springs. Like it's a weird state.
- 20:25I say, I'm sure it's like every other state, but I don't know.
- 20:28I got spoiled. Greenville, If you guys get the
- 20:34chance to go up to Greenville, beautiful, beautiful downtown,
- 20:39they've got a. Kentucky.
- 20:41No Greenville, SC. Oh.
- 20:45They've got a river that runs through the downtown that that
- 20:49cascades in these little waterfalls.
- 20:51It's amazing. That's cool, I got family in
- 20:56Lancaster. Lancaster.
- 20:58Lancaster. It's Lancaster.
- 21:02But apparently the people in South Carolina, you say it wrong
- 21:06and they yell at you. Tell me how Lancaster You say it
- 21:10Lancaster. Lancaster.
- 21:13I got yelled at by Grant. So do they call it Charlotte?
- 21:17That's what I'm saying. Yeah, 'cause that's the same
- 21:19spelling. Finland.
- 21:21Get out. That's what they call it.
- 21:27Man, I tell you what they I tell you would.
- 21:32They had the damn fireworks going off for fucking 20 minutes
- 21:36last night. At like 7.
- 21:38I was literally just laying down, just just sleepy, just
- 21:41laying down on the weekend. And for a good like 20 minutes.
- 21:45I mean, it was a solid doom, doom, doom DOOM DOOM DOOM doom
- 21:48doom. Like just.
- 21:50Back-to-back. Forever, man, I was I was like,
- 21:53what are we doing here? They got they had nothing to do.
- 21:55Nobody. Nobody rides 4 Wheelers.
- 21:58Nobody has dirt bikes, nobody side by sides.
- 22:00Like it's not like it's not like fun Florida, like woods.
- 22:05These people were just in the woods, like there's no, there's
- 22:07no fun here. You should tell them about the
- 22:10big firework that went off on. Oh yeah.
- 22:14So it was probably maybe 30 minutes into like everyone
- 22:20shooting their stuff off and out of nowhere, dude, it was like it
- 22:26was, it was bigger than you can imagine, she said.
- 22:30Like when you see the videos of explosions and like rockets,
- 22:34like going off in another country and you're like damn,
- 22:36that must be crazy being that close to it.
- 22:39This mother fucker do when it went off, you immediately like
- 22:42OK, that's I know that's not a firework.
- 22:44That was a bomb like. Somebody ran into the house,
- 22:47'cause it shook. The whole house shook and it was
- 22:50like, you know, when the windows rattle from like extended
- 22:54reverb, like it keeps rattling. It was so big 'cause we live on
- 22:59the bombing range. I thought they were doing like a
- 23:02New Year's Eve run where they drop a bomb for New Year's.
- 23:06It was, it was the biggest, loudest explosion I've ever felt
- 23:10in my life. I was like, that's not
- 23:11Tannerite. That's not, that's not a a
- 23:15gallon of gas. That was a bomb.
- 23:18Like that was, it was like for a second there I was like, uh oh,
- 23:22like that's not good. Like, like when people talk
- 23:28about like, a house exploding because of a meth lab.
- 23:32Yeah, it was like that. Like, shook the shook the county
- 23:35line. It was crazy.
- 23:40I saw somebody put a pound of tannerite in one of the Roomba
- 23:45like dust pans and he's like just for a future reference, you
- 23:53can fit an entire pound of tannerite in here.
- 23:56Yep, that's so good. It's just, it's just packed
- 23:59down. Say, and that's loud, looks like
- 24:03fun like that, that's loud. But it's not like this dude like
- 24:08Tannerite is a harsh piercing sound like bang this was this
- 24:13was something has fallen out of the sky loud like it was unreal
- 24:18dude. I can't even explain it.
- 24:20So it wasn't one of the what are what are they even called?
- 24:27The small like flashes basically the I can't think of the name of
- 24:32them. You're talking about firework.
- 24:35Yeah, the firework. No, dude, like you know, you
- 24:39know when they get like illegal mortars that are like 100 grain
- 24:41or like 200 grain, like like big boys, big mortars, you could
- 24:45launch off 10 of those and it wouldn't be this loud.
- 24:49That's what I'm trying to tell you.
- 24:50It was not like it wasn't like a harsh like bang.
- 24:54It was like goo goo like the whole county shook.
- 24:59It was insane. We found out it was a cannon.
- 25:04Makes sense then. Yep, we found out it was a
- 25:07cannon because yeah, I know. I asked Mom, I'm like, what the
- 25:12hell was that? And she goes, Oh yeah, I forgot
- 25:14to tell you all about that. I should have let you know.
- 25:16He does that once a year or twice because he does it on.
- 25:21It's Frank. Yeah, he does it on July 4th
- 25:24too, obviously. 1776 baby USAUSAUSAUSA he he does it twice
- 25:33a year and people call the cops when they move in and then the
- 25:35cops tell them, hey man, we don't know who it is.
- 25:40Clearly it's a cannon. He only does it once or twice a
- 25:43year. He's not hurting anybody and
- 25:45you're not. You're fine.
- 25:47So get used to it. So yeah, it it was abrupt.
- 25:52W jumped out of his skin. Right jumped out of my skin.
- 25:56Onto me like help me father like it.
- 25:59It was one of those ones like as the wave goes by the window
- 26:02shake for a few seconds after like it was nuts dude like
- 26:08that's crazy. The only way I can describe it
- 26:11is like that Beirut explosion where they were had all the
- 26:15sulfur phosphate or whatever like that, that amount of boom
- 26:20like it, it was nuts. But no, that was cool as shit.
- 26:24I I went to a show with my marketing job in who cares one
- 26:29of these places up here and it was like a not a confederate.
- 26:34It was just old timey, like they were just talking about like the
- 26:41American Revolution and like like how it worked and all that.
- 26:48And then they had like 3 little cannons, little like 10
- 26:52pounders, and they were fucking blowing those off like once an
- 26:56hour. That was nothing compared to
- 26:58this. It was crazy.
- 26:59He's got to have a damn barrel's got to be, you know, 18 inches
- 27:03round. It was unbelievable.
- 27:05But no, I was cool as shit. I can't wait for 4th of July.
- 27:09I'm going to wait for it all day.
- 27:10He's. Going to make friends with this
- 27:13person. I'm going.
- 27:15To interject like the sound with seismic meters, I'm like, he's
- 27:18over there. No, I was cool as shit.
- 27:23Man, yeah, that's that's one of those things I would would love.
- 27:29I love those those big explosions.
- 27:33I love being out. Here.
- 27:36I love being out here. Like I love.
- 27:38That's my neighbor. That guy.
- 27:40Yeah, with the cannon. That dude's my neighbor.
- 27:43Like I like this. It's not bad.
- 27:46Yeah, that's that's not bad at all.
- 27:49It's pretty sick out here. We're 20 minutes from town and
- 27:54it's a tiny town, but it's got everything you need for the
- 27:56day-to-day, and when you need more, 45 minutes in the opposite
- 28:02direction is the main like city. Columbia, Yeah, the College.
- 28:06Town like the university, the whole 9 yards like it it's it's
- 28:09a massive hub. I don't know about Orlando size,
- 28:14but it's it's a city. I mean it's.
- 28:16Like Charlotte, NC full. Full skyscrapers, parking
- 28:20structures, the whole 9 yards. It's a city like 45 minutes in
- 28:24the other direction. It's pretty nice, but you got
- 28:29the Air Force Base, you've got the hospital, you've got, that's
- 28:35pretty much it on one side. And then everything in between
- 28:39is just rural and it's farms. And they, they throw up a couple
- 28:42houses every now and again, like 5 or 6 in a row.
- 28:45And then they'll move on to, you know, down the road a mile,
- 28:49they'll throw another 5 or 6 new houses.
- 28:51These are like brand new block houses, go another mile down the
- 28:54road, 5 or 6 houses. But other than that, it's, I
- 28:57mean, it's just roll as it gets, man, It's great.
- 29:00I say everybody's got their, you know, it's not even that big,
- 29:03but like some of these farms are massive.
- 29:05Some of them are hundreds of acres, but the majority of them,
- 29:09they're little parcels where they're, they might be 5 acres
- 29:13and they're doing peanuts, cotton and something else, corn.
- 29:19That's pretty much it. There's not a.
- 29:22Whole lot of space that's like truly flat up there, no?
- 29:27And even even it's really. Rocky.
- 29:29It's really hilly. Even the farms, I mean you, you
- 29:32can look at the farms and it is a rolling plain.
- 29:35It's not flat, it is full blown. There's hills all through it, so
- 29:39it's nice. Foothills of the Appalachian.
- 29:42That's right, I. Forgot about that.
- 29:44Yep, I'll say we rode through a we rode through Columbia today
- 29:47and even Columbia is, you know, it's a 200 foot drop from the
- 29:50top of the hill down to the bottom of the city like it's,
- 29:53it's nice, but no, it's, it's great.
- 29:56Man, I I miss it. Beautiful.
- 29:57Up there too. I miss it like hell, but this is
- 30:02pretty good. This is pretty good for a second
- 30:04home. This is nice.
- 30:05I think it's better than Florida, I say I'm.
- 30:08I'm happy with it so far. I'm.
- 30:10I'll say it, I don't care. Yeah, When we came back, I was
- 30:14like, fuck this. I'm so happy to be home.
- 30:19Like when we came back to South Carolina, I was like, I'm happy
- 30:21to go home. Yeah.
- 30:23I say it still doesn't feel like home home, not yet.
- 30:26But it's it's grown on me, it. It might take a little bit, but
- 30:31once you get your studio set up. Yep.
- 30:35Once you get kind of more roots into the ground, it'll it'll
- 30:40begin to feel like it. And that that's kind of what it
- 30:42is too. It's like we're we're kind of
- 30:44moved in, but not really. Like we haven't actually done
- 30:46anything. We haven't hung a single I have
- 30:48nothing up you. I say I haven't.
- 30:51You actually hung up my cow head.
- 30:54Oh yeah, our cow head's up and that's the first.
- 30:57How about that? Yeah, buddy, the first thing I
- 30:59hung up in the rural like the woods is the cow head.
- 31:04That's fantastic. And then I hung up the magic
- 31:09boards. Magic.
- 31:11Boards. The witchy boards.
- 31:14Oh yeah, yeah. So she does have a studio but
- 31:17it's like 1/2 of 1 office. Would you say like a 7 by 9 or
- 31:22something? Yeah, 7 by 9 maximum, and we're
- 31:25going to move her into like 15 by 15 like.
- 31:29Oh, that'll be fantastic for you.
- 31:31Oh yeah, and. We're going to have one corner
- 31:32is going to be the candles, one corner is going to be the art,
- 31:34one corner is going to be the podcast, the other corner is the
- 31:37door. Yeah, tattoos.
- 31:39I'm excited for the tattoos, man.
- 31:41I've been, I've been begging her for months.
- 31:43I can't wait to get one done. You're getting one done by me.
- 31:48Oh yeah, absolutely. Hell.
- 31:49You trust me? He didn't say that.
- 31:51Hell. Yeah, it'll just be a dot.
- 31:55I said I'm getting one done. It'll just be a dot on your like
- 31:59pinky or your toe or something. You're like, oh, that's it.
- 32:03Well, he's got. It don't screw this up.
- 32:07I say you've got it already. You know what it feels like.
- 32:09I have an idea where the cow head is and it's kind of crazy
- 32:14and I don't care what anybody has to say.
- 32:17I might move the cow head or have you move the cow.
- 32:19That's what I want, a wall dedicated to cows.
- 32:28You can do. That so I have I have this thing
- 32:32apparently with cows now. What are you looking up?
- 32:36No, no. I'm.
- 32:37I'm just like we do it. For future gift ideas.
- 32:42Oh God. OK, so.
- 32:44'Cause I I don't know if you know where I'm from, but.
- 32:48Wisconsin. Know how to.
- 32:50Wisconsin. I hate you guys so much.
- 32:54Minnesota. But I I know how to find some
- 32:59good cow themed. Themes.
- 33:04Could you give me a cow skull and and tell me that it's
- 33:07pretend that it's not real, but it's real?
- 33:11I can look into that, yeah. Does that make sense?
- 33:13I honestly, to be completely honest with you, I probably know
- 33:18exactly where to find one. Really.
- 33:22But you got to tell me it's. Also butter season.
- 33:24But you got to tell me it's bake and it's 3D printed out of real
- 33:29bone. It's it's fake.
- 33:32It's totally fake. So I'll.
- 33:34Text my dad it it. It would be massive.
- 33:36I don't think you understand how big.
- 33:38Cows heads are well, my grandma's doing like beadwork or
- 33:44mosaic work and she's using like a real bullhead, so.
- 33:50It's a big boy. It's a big boy.
- 33:51It's but. Yeah, they're big.
- 33:53I want to we'll talk about it. I don't know if I'm I want to be
- 33:57that dedicated just yet to I want to be that that person that
- 34:01collects. Excuse you, you're very loud.
- 34:04I know I'm trying. I'm going to pass out.
- 34:06I kind of eat, OK. I want to be that person that is
- 34:14very edgy and just collects like tiny animal skulls and like, oh,
- 34:20ah, but the thought of having like an animal skull kind of
- 34:25freaks me out. So that's why I said you have
- 34:27you have to tell me it's plastic or whatever.
- 34:31But anyways. I I I almost was able to get you
- 34:36a Chihuahua skull. I like that, but I hate that at
- 34:41the same. I'll take it.
- 34:43Time. I got, I got an idea.
- 34:45I'll take it. You can't fuck it.
- 34:48You can't fuck it the neighbors. The neighbors I I.
- 34:54Don't the one that does the the grill smoking or the ones that
- 34:58Jay doesn't like. My no, it wasn't the ones that
- 35:04that Jay doesn't like. It was the ones.
- 35:06Let's be honest out, I don't like any.
- 35:08Side door, Yeah. You don't like anyone out the
- 35:12side door, you're looking at the house.
- 35:14Yeah, I thought they do the smoking on like the girl
- 35:18smoking. Well, they they, they grill, but
- 35:21they. That's not the same people.
- 35:23Oh, OK. No, the smoking is across the
- 35:25street. What happened to their
- 35:27Chihuahua? They some relation came home and
- 35:33they had three Chihuahuas that they put in a cage outside for
- 35:39whatever reason but one night. Is this a trigger warning for
- 35:45some people? OK.
- 35:47No, I think it, it was everybody was leaving and they couldn't be
- 35:50in the house, so they had to be outside in a pen.
- 35:54Like the pen was more than large enough for them.
- 35:57And they, they have been outside of the pen most of the time.
- 36:01So it's not like they're just like holed up in tiny little
- 36:05pens, you know? They're being treated fine, but
- 36:09I wanted to strangle those freaking dogs.
- 36:13Because I'm sitting here like waiting for a story that like,
- 36:18you're like, this person had some sort of relations and then
- 36:21they left. And I'm like, what happened to
- 36:24these dogs? How long were they gone?
- 36:26And why do you have heard? OK.
- 36:29I wanted to strangle them. Well, yeah, Chihuahuas, Yeah.
- 36:34How long? For like 7 hours straight.
- 36:40So little. Yapping.
- 36:42You know that they've been doing that since like May, April or
- 36:51May, Yeah, 'cause. They come and go.
- 36:54Oh, I was like that, that massive van, like that RV thing.
- 36:59They keep them in that in that vehicle all freaking day.
- 37:04They'll, they'll do that. They'll take them into the house
- 37:07too and bring them out. I've never seen them for.
- 37:11Whatever reason they were outside for like 7 hours and
- 37:15just non-stop barking, I wanted to do something about it.
- 37:22He. Triggered something in me
- 37:24because I instantly remembered that I know I know exactly what
- 37:29you're talking about because when we were there it yes and I
- 37:33thought about it too. I was like this is insane, but
- 37:39we have this go. There's two dogs that our
- 37:44neighbors next door recently got and they're puppy.
- 37:49They're so cute. They're so cute but they're so
- 37:52annoying and they keep them outside the whole entire time
- 37:57and they go all day. Lose my mind, Lose my.
- 38:04Mind we've got like it's gotten to the point where like I've
- 38:07learned how to just kind of tune it out unless I'm outside and
- 38:10then I can't hear them anymore I.
- 38:12Don't hear it at all. Anymore.
- 38:14Yeah, I don't. Hear anything?
- 38:15But anyways, back to the cow thing.
- 38:19So I'm going to do a whole wall full of cows.
- 38:22We have the cow head. I have 3 diamond arts of
- 38:26highland cows. My grandma got one of those
- 38:29like, you know, those banner things that like, not to sound
- 38:36any type of way, but like older white women put in front of
- 38:38their house where it's like Happy Easter or Merry Christmas
- 38:42or like celebrating like a holiday.
- 38:45You know what I'm talking about. Live, laugh, God.
- 38:47Yeah, so my, my grandma bought me one of those where you're
- 38:50supposed to like, stick it in the ground in front of your
- 38:53house or outside or something. I'm not going to do that 'cause
- 38:55I don't want to be that person. So I'm going to hang it like a
- 38:58banner on the wall underneath the cow things and then I'll
- 39:04send you a picture. But my dad sent me these.
- 39:09They're cool, they're cute, but they're really freaking creepy
- 39:123D printed cows. And they're like right there.
- 39:16I didn't know I was getting them.
- 39:18So I was ordering things off of TikTok at the time and I got
- 39:24those packages and then out of nowhere I got these creepy 3D
- 39:28printed cows and I opened them and I'm like who sent this to
- 39:33me? They're really cute.
- 39:35They're creep. Look at the eyes though.
- 39:37They're. Really cute.
- 39:38Are they? Yeah, are.
- 39:39They the big bulging eyes. Yeah.
- 39:43Here. I can't it's I can't kawaii cow.
- 39:46It's literally. Kawaii cow.
- 39:47No, can't. Can you see it?
- 39:50Yeah, Don't I don't. It's creepy.
- 39:53They're they're cute if you don't look at the eyes right.
- 39:55I can't do. That 100%.
- 39:57Bulging. Eyes.
- 39:58Yeah. And they are like, they look
- 40:00like human eyes. Is that not what cows look?
- 40:03Like no, their eyes, their eyes are like jet black.
- 40:06Every time I'm near a cow, they look like that at me.
- 40:09No. Are they scared of me?
- 40:11Yes. Yes.
- 40:13Every time I'm near a cow, they're they're just terrified.
- 40:15They're like human eyes and I'm like, I don't, I don't like
- 40:19human eyes on animals. It it freaks me out.
- 40:23I'll tell you soon here, man, soon, soon, soon.
- 40:26I'm going to go to this ranch down the road.
- 40:29They've literally got the sign out front by local beef.
- 40:32Here's our number. I'm like, yes baby, I'm so
- 40:36ready. Oh, they're so cute black.
- 40:40We'll have to make sure you get a smoker and then I no come up
- 40:43and visit. No, absolutely not.
- 40:46No, the last time I smoked on your smoker.
- 40:48Dude that was the dumbest shit in the world.
- 40:50Listen. He hated it so much.
- 40:53It is. So good, it's.
- 40:54Delicious. I think it was like I don't even
- 40:57know if it was burnt ends. It was.
- 41:00I don't even know. It was like cubed back strap or
- 41:02something. It was.
- 41:02You like literally told him how to do it and he goes, I don't
- 41:06know how he does this, this. So we're living with you.
- 41:09So because you like to sit out there and like enjoy the day and
- 41:12soak up the sun and like and watch the grill.
- 41:14I have no time for this shit dude.
- 41:17I want my food to cook and then be done when I'm ready for it to
- 41:20be like the 80. It was delicious.
- 41:22OK, it was unreal, but I'll never smoke again.
- 41:25That was so stupid. It's fine, people.
- 41:28Will do it. People are like here get you a
- 41:30Traeger that will automatically feed pellets to smoke and I'm
- 41:33like go kill like don't talk to me, I don't care like.
- 41:37He literally was like, I don't know how much to open it, I
- 41:39don't know how much to close it. I've done everything.
- 41:42This thing is pissing me off all.
- 41:43Over the place, so mad it's 125. Now it's 500.
- 41:47Like, yeah, I remember. Every time I did something it
- 41:50was like it was never up to temp.
- 41:52And then when I would turn around I was like God up to
- 41:55temp. I was like, I'm done.
- 41:56I don't care, it's really good. Don't want to do it again.
- 42:00Meanwhile I I did pork loin, chicken and and brats on the the
- 42:09smoker. And I'm with it like it's, it's
- 42:11delicious. Meal.
- 42:13I saw it and. That that temperature gauge
- 42:17stuck right where it needed to be because I am good at what I
- 42:20do. Speaking.
- 42:25Of being good at what I do, I have a surprise for you guys.
- 42:31Oh no. And you guys have already heard
- 42:34part of it because I accidentally hit the wrong
- 42:36button. Yes.
- 42:41So are you going to play the Adriana?
- 42:43Managed to pull some strings and whoops hang on, I thought wrong
- 42:49button again. I thought you were going to play
- 42:51the Adriana Chaquet clip right in your ears.
- 42:55That's fine, I'll throw up. I don't care.
- 42:57Go for it. So I've managed to pull some
- 43:01strings and we have our very first listener voice memo that
- 43:07came in and. You can't see it, Amber shocked.
- 43:13She is now a gape shopped. Oh my gosh.
- 43:17I'm going to hit the button and see if it plays.
- 43:19If not, then I'm going to have to do a different setting to
- 43:21make sure, because I I tested the audio to make sure that it
- 43:24was loud enough. So it said, hey, let's see if it
- 43:26plays, Yeah? Hope.
- 43:30J&A are back to jars so it's no longer just an R.
- 43:35It's great to hear you guys back in my podcast feed.
- 43:38I hope you're all doing well. High hopes here.
- 43:41Just want to drop this little memo.
- 43:42Wouldn't say what a blast it has been to have you guys come back
- 43:46into the feed. Loving the stories.
- 43:48Can't wait to hear the rest. I was going to tell a joke about
- 43:53the layoffs, you know, lighten the mood, but sadly none of them
- 43:56work. So thanks for fading.
- 44:01Oh my God. I love it.
- 44:06We have officially gotten our very first voice memo.
- 44:10For those of you listening and wish to throw down a 32nd to one
- 44:15minute voice clip a minute, you can find it at memo dot FM
- 44:22slash. Thanks, hated it.
- 44:25The the link will be in the description of the show and
- 44:31yeah, go ahead and throw it in. I didn't even know we could do
- 44:34that. Thank you, High hopes for
- 44:37sending our first one. Getting it tested out for me,
- 44:39yay. Thanks, high hopes, that was
- 44:41dope. Love you that.
- 44:42Was a that joke was cringe. That's what we are, though.
- 44:47Don't you? Don't you?
- 44:48Oh. It's so good, it's so good.
- 44:52I think I think he's right though.
- 44:54Like yes thanks, hated it. Like it's perfect.
- 44:58It's yeah, it worked. It worked so well.
- 45:00I love it. That was dope.
- 45:04I can't wait for more. I'm excited.
- 45:05I'm glad we're doing it again and I wish we could have done it
- 45:09for the last couple months. I just, there was absolutely no
- 45:12way we're still right now, like just trying to put it together
- 45:17like. We're trying to get our shit
- 45:18together. And it's, it's probably still
- 45:20going to be a challenge for a little bit just to make sure
- 45:26that the technology is working and understanding how the
- 45:28technology is supposed to work, because this is only the second
- 45:32podcast with these new recorders that.
- 45:35I have. So it's it's going to be a
- 45:39matter of definite, definitely some trial and error.
- 45:43There's going to be mistakes. We have backups though, so
- 45:50hopefully that will provide some safety net for us, but I think
- 45:56we'll be able to roll roll pretty, pretty steadily into
- 46:00this. Now we got it, I say.
- 46:03It's already a flawless setup and it's the first time.
- 46:06I mean, we're killing it. Yeah, you guys got new mics too.
- 46:14They're good. They're they sound great.
- 46:16I mean, the the last episode you wanted to have thought that we
- 46:19were using brand new Mike's brand new recorder.
- 46:25It it sounded fantastic. No, it sounds amazing, so I
- 46:30think it looks good too. Yeah, I'm excited though.
- 46:35We're we're going to just casually make it better, make
- 46:40improvements, take one step at a time and get it going.
- 46:46But. I can't wait to have high hopes
- 46:49on. Yeah, we'll have high hopes on
- 46:52at some point. Absolutely.
- 46:56Especially since he does his own podcast.
- 47:00We gotta hear his. His his podcast is a is a
- 47:04Minecraft interview podcast. So he interviews creators in the
- 47:10Minecraft space and it's phenomenal.
- 47:12He's he, I was actually on one of his episodes, not to brag or
- 47:17anything, but he's one of the best interviewers that I've ever
- 47:23heard. Just kind of makes it flow.
- 47:27But it's, it's a real just really nice conversation.
- 47:32I'll listen to it. Couple of them then, because I
- 47:35don't like Minecraft. Rude.
- 47:38But it's not just, it's not just Minecraft, it's, it's all about
- 47:42the creator itself. So like, yeah, the basis is
- 47:45Minecraft. So he uses, you know, Minecraft
- 47:49as the jumping off point. But it talks about everything
- 47:53they do and everything so. I'll check it out.
- 47:55How about that? Yeah, the beacon is what it's.
- 47:59Called. So the other thing is too, I've
- 48:02got my machine here, my rig, and we're going to put that up as
- 48:06well. So I'd like to do the reacts.
- 48:09I'd like to do Ryan, you and I play some games together.
- 48:16I would also I anytime you're ready, I will set it all up and
- 48:20we will have her play Arachnophobia.
- 48:24No. I'm dude, I'm so excited.
- 48:26Phasmophobia. Let's say Phasmophobia is the
- 48:29one with the like co-ops looking for ghosts.
- 48:32I'm talking about the single player, where it's the Oh yeah.
- 48:35Yeah, yeah. Bro, I will murder you guys.
- 48:38It's. So good.
- 48:39No, you know, I hate spiders. It's so good.
- 48:42I don't care. I hate spiders.
- 48:44No. Whenever we're ready, you let me
- 48:48know how to screen record and do all that good jazz and we'll
- 48:50start doing that too and put it up on the channel.
- 48:53Absolutely. Not that game.
- 48:56I'll play that other game, not the spider one.
- 49:00I mean, a potato got streamer of the year, so I think we can do
- 49:05something. I think we can do something.
- 49:09Yeah, I'm excited though. Lots of lots of fun stuff.
- 49:12That that voice memo is is exciting though.
- 49:17That was so cool to hear. Working.
- 49:19It was super. It's super easy to to work with,
- 49:23so I'm I'm excited about that. Yeah, it was cool.
- 49:27It was nice. It was.
- 49:27It was cool. That was really cool to hear.
- 49:30Do we have time for one more story?
- 49:33Oh yeah, we got plenty of time. Oh, OK, good.
- 49:35I say I'm gonna cut it off after this.
- 49:36I have to eat. I'm gonna die, dude.
- 49:41We met a psychic. Old psychic.
- 49:47In one of those, what are they called?
- 49:51Not a wheelchair scooters. Hoveround.
- 49:54Yep. We were at a a flea market and
- 50:00for whatever reason she decided to cut right in between us.
- 50:05There's a whole last thing, but she decided to cut right in
- 50:08between US and it's. Like a 2 foot gap.
- 50:10She was like, I'll, I'll split the difference and go right in
- 50:12your booths. I think she said she was 86 or
- 50:1687 years old. Yeah.
- 50:18And yeah, just cut right in front of us.
- 50:21And mind you, I'm at a booth with the candles, but it's his
- 50:28business. I don't lift a finger.
- 50:31I sit there on my butt, on the chair.
- 50:34And then at the very end I sit in the car and he puts
- 50:37everything away. So.
- 50:38She does the the the money while I run my own company on the
- 50:42side. So I mean I make the candles but
- 50:45he pretty much sells them so. But anyways, I'm sitting at the
- 50:51booth and the lady cuts in between US and she stops,
- 50:58doesn't smell any of the candles or anything, she just starts
- 51:02talking to what was she talking about?
- 51:04God knows the the war. She was talking about.
- 51:09The Great War she was a nurse in.
- 51:11It was crazy. She used to dance.
- 51:14She lived in New York, Florida, California and something else.
- 51:24One of the middle ones. She did, I think Colorado.
- 51:28Yep. And then she did, I don't know,
- 51:32she's telling us her whole entire life.
- 51:34And she's like, no, I don't even have to work, but I want to work
- 51:37because this this and this and this.
- 51:39It was a good 3035 minutes, yes, that she just stood there.
- 51:43Talking. Talking at us.
- 51:45This was. And I was responding, but it was
- 51:47more like, hey, I'm working. Yeah.
- 51:49Right now. Yeah.
- 51:50I, I would love to hear your story.
- 51:52I just can't do it right at this right Right now.
- 51:55Meanwhile there is nobody that was walking by at this point.
- 51:57No, like not a single person. It's literally the Sunday before
- 52:04Christmas. Yep.
- 52:05So I mean. The last.
- 52:07Show dead. Yeah.
- 52:09And I don't even remember how like this conversation started,
- 52:15but we started talking about astrology and Zodiac and stuff
- 52:19like that. And she looks at me and she's
- 52:24like, what's your sign or what's your what's your like?
- 52:28Are you a fire water? What airbender are you?
- 52:32And I was like, what do you think?
- 52:35And she was like, I think you're like a water sign or something.
- 52:39And I don't know. I'm in Gemini.
- 52:41That's all I know. I know like the 123.
- 52:45I'm a Gemini, Aquarius, Scorpio, which is crazy, crazy pants.
- 52:53She's like, oh, that makes sense, blah, blah, blah, blah,
- 52:55blah, blah. And then she started telling me
- 52:57that she could read like palm read into the future and stuff
- 53:03like that. And she looks at me and she's
- 53:05like, Oh my God, your hands like your lines don't connect, which
- 53:09means you're ahead or something. I can't remember.
- 53:15But she was like, she said something like that means you're
- 53:18ahead. And literally, I don't think
- 53:20I've ever met another person that has had it separated.
- 53:23I'm like, what the hell are you talking about?
- 53:26OK, cool. And she's like, I bet you he
- 53:28doesn't have or he has it connected too.
- 53:32And I'm like, do you have it connected?
- 53:34And he's like, I don't. Know what?
- 53:37What? Do you mean?
- 53:40So I'm like, go give her your hand because this is like
- 53:43grandma talk at this point, like this is now our grandmother,
- 53:46like we have to do what she says and she like opens her mouth and
- 53:52she's just like, Oh my God, you're a head too or something
- 53:56like that. So it was weird.
- 53:59And then what was the the whole conversation though, like the
- 54:04the one that you remember? Oh, I don't remember any of it.
- 54:07No, that why do we call her a psychic?
- 54:10She said she was a psychic. She had a joke.
- 54:13What I'm trying to set you up for your.
- 54:15Joke. Oh no, I have no idea.
- 54:17The Angels. Oh God.
- 54:21Damn it, dude. Brother, you're so far off.
- 54:24So I can't recall how it got there, but she was letting us
- 54:29know that she's in touch with the other side and she can do
- 54:33this and she can do that. And she said, and you know the
- 54:37angels, and I looked at her and I said, you mean Saint Michael,
- 54:41St. Anthony and my mother.
- 54:45And that was just, she was like, what did you say?
- 54:50That's so good. It was so good.
- 54:54He said it slower. He was like Saint Andrew, St.
- 54:58Michael's and Oh, my mother. My mother, yeah, she that was it
- 55:06for her. That's good, good stuff.
- 55:09Thing And she was just like, OK, well, I'm going to go walk
- 55:11around now. I was like, OK.
- 55:13Yeah, it was, it was interesting.
- 55:14It was very what is that movie with the the red demon man?
- 55:20Inception. Insidious.
- 55:23It was very insidious. I was like, this is this.
- 55:26She's been around, man. She was telling us.
- 55:28She's like, I've been doing this, I've done that.
- 55:30I've had a business. I've had not, I've been there,
- 55:33been not like it, just just everything.
- 55:35She told me what she wants to do now and I can't remember what it
- 55:38was. She was a.
- 55:40Teacher she was. Did this, did that.
- 55:42She wants so she said she works like 2 weeks in the summertime
- 55:51in New York doing like an admin thing or something like that.
- 55:56I'm like, OK, and at one point she was like, and then this lady
- 56:01just dropped off like 90 Barbie dolls.
- 56:04I'm like, OK, she goes, I want to like make outfits for these
- 56:12Barbie dolls and then give them away to people who need them in
- 56:15like hospitals and shit like that.
- 56:17I'm like, who are you? Crazy interaction.
- 56:23Very cool. Person just completely insane
- 56:26interact. It was a it was definitely a
- 56:27Florida interaction. Oh yeah, We've had a bunch of
- 56:31those at that flea market too. Like there was this one guy I
- 56:35think like two or three weeks before.
- 56:37It was the one of the coldest days in South Carolina
- 56:43apparently ever that year or something like that.
- 56:45Oh. I was pissed.
- 56:47And it's like, it's a technically it's an quote UN
- 56:52quote indoor flea market, but it's like big garage doors that
- 56:56separate the inside from the outside.
- 56:59Some people had them open, we had them close, but it's still,
- 57:03it's very, very cold. And there's this guy and he's
- 57:08wearing shorts and like almost like a nursing shirt or
- 57:14something. I'm bored and I'm cold at this
- 57:16point. So I just look at him and I'm
- 57:18like, how do you do it, man? And like, he immediately comes
- 57:23out of like his walking trance and like just stands in front of
- 57:26the booth and it's like, what'd you say?
- 57:29I'm like, I was just wondering how you were doing it, but now
- 57:32I'm kind of like wondering if I should have just.
- 57:35Left you. Alone left you alone.
- 57:38So he just randomly starts talking to me, realized that
- 57:42he's Canadian, but comes down here.
- 57:47Yeah, comes down here. Used to own a business or
- 57:51something like that in South Florida, close to where I used
- 57:56to live back in the 80s or 90s. And he was a motorcyclist.
- 58:02So they would literally just do trips on the bike from Florida.
- 58:07And I'm like, how do we end up just randomly talking to these
- 58:12people? I'm trying to figure out how we
- 58:13randomly become them. Like I want to do that.
- 58:16Yeah. I would like a business in South
- 58:18Florida where I motorcycle up. Well, it's not the 80s anymore.
- 58:22That's so true. There's.
- 58:25Not the 80s anymore. You boomers.
- 58:27This guy was probably like 50-6 fifties or 60s or something like
- 58:32that, but he looked good for an old man.
- 58:34Pulling that ladder up behind him.
- 58:37He was like, he was talking to us for like quite a minute and
- 58:40then I'm like, OK, I'm done talking to you.
- 58:42And then he just started talking to him.
- 58:44I tell you I got 1 today man we were walking around goodwill
- 58:47looking for we go to goodwill and instead of buying pre made
- 58:52like chintzy or or cheap like. Either.
- 58:57Containers like like candle containers, like the glass
- 58:59containers you put the. Wax or the tins or whatever we.
- 59:02Don't want the cheap stuff, We want the good crystal.
- 59:06The good. That's the thing.
- 59:07It's not even cheap. Like if you go online and you
- 59:09order like a four thing of those tins, yeah, they're like 3 to $5
- 59:15apiece. So even for the thin tin that
- 59:18doesn't like actually, yeah. So we go to the Goodwill and we
- 59:22get the real crystal, the thick glass, the real.
- 59:25These are stuff that's been sitting in a curio for 40 years.
- 59:28And somebody donated because they passed or something like
- 59:31that. And we clear the shelf to give
- 59:34me everything, give me all the good stuff.
- 59:35They're like $0.50 a piece or a dollar a piece.
- 59:39We're in there and we're not talking to this guy.
- 59:42He's talking away from us. I know he's talking away from
- 59:47us, but like to us kind of kind of the whole like area that
- 59:51we're in and he goes he. Picked up something that was
- 59:53Christmas. He goes ha ha ha, in his way,
- 59:57Santa's coming. And I was like, I'm pretty sure
- 1:00:00he's come and gone and the guy goes, well, he's going to come
- 1:00:04back. Or at least he's breathing hard.
- 1:00:09Yeah. I was like holy shit dude, this
- 1:00:14guy is 82 years old. I find out later. 82 or 84?
- 1:00:17Yeah. And we're sitting there talking
- 1:00:20and he walks down the aisle again.
- 1:00:22Like we're standing like in the area ish for a solid like 10-15
- 1:00:27minutes. We're looking at rugs.
- 1:00:30We found this lady who's also standing in like the same area
- 1:00:33as us since we got there. Who has she's got?
- 1:00:35Her little dots in with her. A Wiener dog.
- 1:00:38It was a service dog. She was a precious thing ever.
- 1:00:41She finally leaves where I'm trying to look at.
- 1:00:45So then we go back over to like where the the crystals are and
- 1:00:49stuff and I'm just literally like scanning the shelves, like
- 1:00:52which ones do I want my candles to look like?
- 1:00:56And then? So he comes back the same guy
- 1:00:59and he says like everything's made in China.
- 1:01:03Yeah. And now everything in China's
- 1:01:05$2.00. And I was like, Yep, thank
- 1:01:08goodness Cambodia is still nice. And he goes, you were in
- 1:01:12Cambodia and I go to, I was not in Cambodia.
- 1:01:15He goes, oh, that's a shame. I was in Thailand just across
- 1:01:18the border. And I was like, holy shit, this
- 1:01:20guy, like he goes, yeah, yeah, they had us over there with all
- 1:01:24the Agent Orange. And I'm like, all right, we
- 1:01:26we've gotten much too deep for this passing glance
- 1:01:29conversation. So he's telling me how he used
- 1:01:33to run with the the guys in the planes with the Agent Orange.
- 1:01:37And he's just telling me everything.
- 1:01:39And I'm, I'm 84 and I'm still kicking and I'm strong as hell
- 1:01:43and I'm everything, everything goes down except for the price.
- 1:01:49I was like, Yep, that's true. And he, as I'm looking at him,
- 1:01:51he's gesturing to his Dick like putting his hand lower.
- 1:01:55And he goes, everything's down but the price.
- 1:01:58And I'm like, brother, you have got to chill like.
- 1:02:00I didn't see that. I'm sitting here looking at like
- 1:02:03stuff to make candles. He is just whiling in this
- 1:02:06goodwill and he was like, where'd you serve?
- 1:02:10I was like, I didn't, thank God. Like he goes, are you a Marine?
- 1:02:13He. Was like, no, thank God.
- 1:02:15I was like, no, I got picked up by UPS before I could,
- 1:02:18thankfully. And we're just sitting there
- 1:02:20talking for a minute and he's just going off, man.
- 1:02:23I was just, I'm just listening to him.
- 1:02:25Like Yep, uh huh. Yep, this guy is wild.
- 1:02:29Like we just get him all the time, dude.
- 1:02:32All the time. I felt like it was a Florida
- 1:02:34thing. It's not.
- 1:02:35It's anywhere we go kind of thing.
- 1:02:37And then he starts, he starts talking about how he was retired
- 1:02:41or something by the time. Did he say he was retired?
- 1:02:44Yeah. Oh, I heard something.
- 1:02:46Else, oh, he said he was retired before he was even born in 88 or
- 1:02:53something like that. And then he goes something about
- 1:02:57like when's your birthday or something like that.
- 1:02:59And he goes, ohh, yeah, by the way, my birthday is in 10 days.
- 1:03:02I'll be 87. I.
- 1:03:04Was like happy birthday. Happy birthday Just.
- 1:03:08Anything to Get Me Out of this, Like, yeah.
- 1:03:11That's kind of what we did all. All entertained for a minute but
- 1:03:15after like a good 5-6 minutes of him cornering me in the aisle,
- 1:03:18I'm like but I'm so sorry I have to keep it moving.
- 1:03:21Like I'm honestly trying to get home to do a podcast.
- 1:03:25I gots to go man. But.
- 1:03:29It was so funny. Yeah, I thought these
- 1:03:31interactions were like Florida interactions because I had them
- 1:03:34all the time in Florida too. And they're not.
- 1:03:37It's just me. I just bring in the the people,
- 1:03:40man. Same here I.
- 1:03:42Don't know what it is. Same here.
- 1:03:45You guys have too much of A inviting aura.
- 1:03:49Aura. Something like.
- 1:03:52That you need to you need to tone it down.
- 1:03:56Become more of a Dick. Everybody wants a piece.
- 1:03:59To develop that RBF. I can teach you.
- 1:04:04No, I can't. In public, I don't have it.
- 1:04:08I was just telling him we were in a Dollar General the other
- 1:04:10day and I was like, kind of like walking by myself because he
- 1:04:14doesn't like when I do like the different aisles at a time.
- 1:04:17Like I'll go from one aisle to another one and then back and
- 1:04:20then all that other stuff. I think she did three circles in
- 1:04:24one like corner of the store at the same time today and I
- 1:04:28literally just stopped moving. Yeah, I waited for her to go on
- 1:04:32to the next area and then I just followed.
- 1:04:34Yeah. And as I was doing that, like
- 1:04:38I'd normally if like nobody's looking at me, I don't look at
- 1:04:40anybody else. And I keep this like, somewhat
- 1:04:43mean mug on my face. But the people pleaser in me,
- 1:04:47apparently if I look at a person, I immediately like, kind
- 1:04:51of like half smile, half smirk. And I did it to this crackhead
- 1:04:56and I swear to God he was following me all throughout good
- 1:05:01Dollar General. And like I said, I don't just go
- 1:05:04from aisle to aisle like a normal person does.
- 1:05:07I go from one aisle all the way to the back and then right to
- 1:05:10the middle and then back to this one and then back into like the
- 1:05:12half middle. And this guy was there every
- 1:05:16single time. And I finally looked up at one
- 1:05:18point and I didn't realize like he was staring at me.
- 1:05:21So I'm just like, and he just kind of smiled back and I was
- 1:05:25like, OK, I've looked down, picked my things out, went over
- 1:05:28to like the beauty department where it has like all the nails
- 1:05:30and stuff. He comes right behind me and I'm
- 1:05:33like, Nope. And I go to the cash restaurant
- 1:05:35and immediately like wave him to come over.
- 1:05:38He immediately fucks off. I was like OK, completely reeked
- 1:05:42of weed. Oh yeah, Oh my God.
- 1:05:44Yeah. Somebody mentioned it to him,
- 1:05:47like in the store when I went by.
- 1:05:49He was like, me, Yes, bud, you man, you, me.
- 1:05:53I could smell you halfway down the aisle.
- 1:05:56It was crazy. Same day, same Dollar General.
- 1:06:01Before all of that happened, I went to go and ask one of the
- 1:06:04people that worked there up front if they could help us
- 1:06:07reach the Welch's sparkling grape juice at the very, very
- 1:06:13top, because we're idiots and couldn't see where it was.
- 1:06:16Like right in the middle on a different aisle.
- 1:06:19We want the. Top shelf.
- 1:06:20Apparently this this like super tall guy is like pacing back and
- 1:06:28forth in front like trying to figure out where these cookies
- 1:06:33and cream Hershey bar is. Also tweaking.
- 1:06:37Kind of, yeah. And he's like, man, don't you
- 1:06:42all got this? And they're like, I don't know.
- 1:06:45We've been, you know, literally like out of it for a minute and
- 1:06:49out of a lot of stuff. He goes, man, if I don't have my
- 1:06:51cookies and cream, I'm going to be pissed.
- 1:06:53And I immediately just kind of like looked over and I saw that
- 1:06:57it was like right next to me. So it's like, sorry, it's right
- 1:07:00there. He goes, oh, bless you, you're
- 1:07:02an Angel, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:07:05And I'm like, no problem. And then I went to ask the lady
- 1:07:10behind the register if she could help me reach something that was
- 1:07:13on the very top shelf. He goes, no, baby, I got you
- 1:07:16what you need. And I was like, I can have them
- 1:07:19help me. He goes, no, no, no, they're
- 1:07:21busy. What do you need?
- 1:07:22I'm like, fuck, man. I'm like.
- 1:07:26He walked in front of her. He's like, show me the aisle,
- 1:07:28show me the aisle. It was crazy, dude.
- 1:07:31I'm like, all right, if you insist, he goes.
- 1:07:34You help me find my chocolate, I'll help you reach something I
- 1:07:37wish I hadn't. OK.
- 1:07:38I really wish I hadn't. He was nice, he was sweet and
- 1:07:41then he fucked off afterwards. So he like, I immediately showed
- 1:07:45him where it was. Hey, I was like, can you pass me
- 1:07:48that grape juice? And he like immediately went for
- 1:07:51like like some sort of like hot sauce that was next to it or
- 1:07:53something. I was like, no, no, no to the
- 1:07:55left. And he's like, OK.
- 1:07:58And then it's just so weird. And then he was like, you need
- 1:08:02anything else up high? And I was like, no, Sir, thank
- 1:08:06you. And he goes, not a problem,
- 1:08:07baby, you have a good one. Happy new Year.
- 1:08:09So like, OK. I am done with it.
- 1:08:12I'm so done with it. I don't want anybody messing
- 1:08:14with me anymore. Leave me alone.
- 1:08:16And I'm not trying to make fun of anybody's accent.
- 1:08:19It's just how I how I talk whenever I hear somebody with an
- 1:08:22accent so. It's also how people talk up
- 1:08:24here like it's. Not 100%.
- 1:08:26I'm not making fun of. People have a southern droll
- 1:08:29here. Like I'm starting to pick it up.
- 1:08:31I don't like it. Yeah, you are.
- 1:08:33I don't like it, but I'm good. Well, yeah, you're it.
- 1:08:42It's time to get dinner. Yep, I'm hungry.
- 1:08:44Nom. Nom.
- 1:08:44Nom. Nom.
- 1:08:45Nom. Nom.
- 1:08:45Nom. It's late guys.
- 1:08:46Here it is 9:30 at night. Yes, it is.
- 1:08:50We're we're doing it for y'all. Yep.
- 1:08:53We'll, maybe we'll try to record to next week to get ahead of
- 1:09:00things and work back that backlog that we had beforehand
- 1:09:05just in case. But we're rolling now.
- 1:09:09It's it's happening. We're back.
- 1:09:11It works. Everything works.
- 1:09:13I'll say we, we had some issues in the beginning and some other
- 1:09:15issues that Amber can talk about, but we, we, we got it
- 1:09:21working and it's working. I think it's working pretty
- 1:09:23well. I've been watching the levels
- 1:09:25the whole time and, and we'll see what we'll see what you can
- 1:09:30hear through the recording when you start to edit.
- 1:09:32But I mean, if it worked, man, that's freaking awesome.
- 1:09:34And I'm happy and we can start doing, like you said, two or two
- 1:09:38at a time and getting it back to where we were.
- 1:09:41Absolutely. But.
- 1:09:43Thank you guys so much. We appreciate you all.
- 1:09:45Hugs and kisses, I love you all. Mommy and daddy's biscuits came
- 1:09:50by I. Hated it.
- 1:10:15Do I press the big red button?
