  Speaker 2: you this morning man started off real crazy. But it's

  Speaker 2: just those little mishaps where we as people who are

  Speaker 2: striving to be successful, that makes all the difference in

  Speaker 2: the world. When you have those little minor things that

  Speaker 2: come up, you can't let the minor things stop you.

  Speaker 1: You've got to keep pressing forward. Now. Could I have

  Speaker 1: played the role of where is my car? Where is

  Speaker 1: my car?

  Speaker 2: Oh? Where is my car? Instead of hustling and grab

  Speaker 2: a cab?

  Speaker 1: So what am I?

  Speaker 2: Am I above a cab ride now? Or do I

  Speaker 2: have to look at the bigger picture and say, okay,

  Speaker 2: I could act like a little spoil brat some type

  Speaker 2: of star and go I don't ride in cabs or

  Speaker 2: where's my car? And then go to blaming people for

  Speaker 2: not having a car. Or do I make the adjustments

  Speaker 2: because it ain't like I ain't been in a cab before? Now,

  Speaker 2: slow down? Ain't like I ain't never been in a

  Speaker 2: in a beat up car before? Slow down? Ain't ever

  Speaker 2: like I ain't never had a car and rode a

  Speaker 2: bus before. Slow down, ain't like I ain't never been

  Speaker 2: homeless before, And they have nowhere to go.

  Speaker 1: Slow down.

  Speaker 2: So in those moments right there, always remember where you

  Speaker 2: come from, but even more importantly, always remember where you

  Speaker 2: trying to go, because it's important for me that I

  Speaker 2: get here as many mornings as I possibly can. It's

  Speaker 2: important because that's the goal. And so many people allow

  Speaker 2: a minor things to stop them on their road to success.

  Speaker 2: And I'm giving you this example today not to say, hey,

  Speaker 2: look at me, but to say to you, hey, listen

  Speaker 2: to me. There are going to be a lot of

  Speaker 2: things that's going to happen along your way to be

  Speaker 2: as successful. And if you a lot of small things

  Speaker 2: to stop you, there's no way you'll make it. You've

  Speaker 2: got to always press forward and stop looking at the

  Speaker 2: situation for what it is, and look, sometimes you have

  Speaker 2: to take your hour off right now and put your

  Speaker 2: eye in the future. You know, God has blessed me

  Speaker 2: in so many ways. I mean, what can I say?

  Speaker 2: You know, I ask God for this syndicated show. He

  Speaker 2: gives me a syndicated show. Niact like I don't want

  Speaker 2: to come to it. Hold on, man, slow down. Did

  Speaker 2: not you ask for this? Do I not realize that

  Speaker 2: there are certain people, man, who look forward to this message.

  Speaker 2: I've heard it from people, so from the hundreds that

  Speaker 2: I know. So if I think somebody's counting on me,

  Speaker 2: So today I didn't have any time at all to

  Speaker 2: think about what I might say. I just walk right

  Speaker 2: in and the jingle was playing, and so I decided

  Speaker 2: to just tell you about my day and maybe you

  Speaker 2: can relate it to something you going through along the way,

  Speaker 2: Because no matter who you are, you're going to have

  Speaker 2: some moment man, where things are going to happen. And

  Speaker 2: like I always tell my kids, and I just had

  Speaker 2: this conversation with my little girl, it ain't that things

  Speaker 2: ain't gonna happen. It's how you handle what happens that matters.

  Speaker 2: But it don't matter. It's how you handle what happens

  Speaker 2: that's the determining factor on where you get in life

  Speaker 2: and how soon you get there and how long you

  Speaker 2: stay there. That will always be a mishap. Something that's

  Speaker 2: gonna throw you off. There will always be something man

  Speaker 2: that could deter you. That will be something somewhere man

  Speaker 2: that will make you doubt it. Now that you know

  Speaker 2: that's gonna happen, then let's talk about how you handle

  Speaker 2: what happens, because it's going to happen. So now, what

  Speaker 2: do you do as a person when these moments come

  Speaker 2: about in your life? How do you handle? Oh?

  Speaker 1: Woe is me? Oh, I guess it wasn't meant to be. Well.

  Speaker 2: How many damn many times you hear people say that,

  Speaker 2: You know it really irks me. Man, Stop using God

  Speaker 2: as your excuse. God ain't no excuse. God is a reason.

  Speaker 2: He's a reason why the good happens. He's a reason.

  Speaker 2: He's not an excuse. God don't have no excuses, and

  Speaker 2: none of his scriptures or writings not that He just

  Speaker 2: don't make excuses. I would have done this. But you

  Speaker 2: know there's a scripture that says the poor will all
• 4:28
  Speaker 2: shall always be amongst us. Why that's got to be you. Yeah,

  Speaker 2: he said the poor will always be amongst us, Because
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: you know everybody ain't gonna follow the principles of success.

  Speaker 2: But he also said he came to give you life
• 4:40
  Speaker 2: and give it to you more abundantly. He said that too,

  Speaker 2: But oh no, you don't want to hear that because

  Speaker 2: your life kind of trip it out a little bit.

  Speaker 2: So now what you do with it? Now you twist

  Speaker 2: it and you go to that one little scripture that say, well,

  Speaker 2: the poor shall always be amongst us. Well, that's put
• 4:56
  Speaker 2: in there because that suggests in case, see that's a

  Speaker 2: just in case y'all don't want to follow the scriptures.

  Speaker 2: That's just in case you don't understand that faith without
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: works is dead.

  Speaker 1: That's just in case you have not because you ask.

  Speaker 2: Now, it's just in case you don't believe, and shall

  Speaker 2: not doubt he got all that in there.

  Speaker 2: Want to do that, there is a scripture that tells

  Speaker 2: you what will happen if you don't do it, And

  Speaker 2: here it is the poor shall always be amongst us.

  Speaker 2: But then you get that when they say, well, that's

  Speaker 2: I guess that's the Lord's will. Lord's will, really, really,

  Speaker 2: really really that's amazing. I just don't believe that about him.

  Speaker 2: I don't believe that God created your life to be
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: a life of misery. I think that we make decisions
• 5:46
  Speaker 2: along the way that cause us to have lives of misery.

  Speaker 2: But I really really just don't believe that God created

  Speaker 2: you for that. I've heard Nelson Mandela speak, and you

  Speaker 2: know you gotta go while all those years in prison, man,
• 6:04
  Speaker 2: what was it about. When you hear him speak, you
• 6:07
  Speaker 2: understand what it was about. He said he always knew
• 6:11
  Speaker 2: he would be free one day. Now what he said
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: he never knew was he said, he never knew that
• 6:17
  Speaker 2: he would be the president of that country. Oh my goodness,

  Speaker 2: what a long way around. But he could have set

  Speaker 2: there and got involved in prison activities that wasn't up
• 6:30
  Speaker 2: to par and things like that. And they said whenever
• 6:34
  Speaker 2: young inmates used to come in. He was telling the

  Speaker 2: story one time of how young inmates used to come
• 6:38
  Speaker 2: into the prison. They all sit around and talk to
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: him about what they were doing and how many kids
• 6:43
  Speaker 2: they had in their lives, and it helped them keep
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: track of the outside a little bit, and it kept
• 6:48
  Speaker 2: a sense of time for them, and it reminded me
• 6:51
  Speaker 2: to talk about what they left behind, and it kept
• 6:53
  Speaker 2: them going because something was greater on the other side.

  Speaker 2: Had he allowed that to star. Had he allowed the imprisonment,

  Speaker 2: which is a pretty major deal. Oh, by the way,

  Speaker 2: then guess what he would have never been the Nelson
• 7:08
  Speaker 2: Mandela that we know today, a martyr, a leader, a
• 7:11
  Speaker 2: great force. People want to go around him. Even people
• 7:14
  Speaker 2: that imprisoned him could not understand his staunch strength, his faith,
• 7:20
  Speaker 2: his unwavering commitment. They couldn't understand it. So things are
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: going to happen in your life, but it's how you
• 7:26
  Speaker 2: handle what happens doesn't matter. So keep pushing, y'all. Don't
• 7:29
  Speaker 2: let the little things get in the way. Okay, And

  Speaker 2: if you just sometimes you just don't know. I got

  Speaker 2: in a cab thinking I wasn't gonna make it, but

  Speaker 2: at least let's go see, let's try.

  Speaker 2: Guess what that gives me another piece of information that
