- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network.
- 0:03Speaker 1: This is Adrim Barbo. You're listening to tech Talk Radio
- 0:06Speaker 1: and you're gonna learn a lot. Well, come to another
- 0:09Speaker 1: episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean
- 0:13Speaker 1: de Weird, and we're the show that talks about computers,
- 0:16Speaker 1: technology and the Hitternet and video games, lots of video
- 0:19Speaker 1: games stuff. Actually, we invite you to follow us, subscribe
- 0:23Speaker 1: to us on YouTube tech talk Radio, and always be updated.
- 0:26Speaker 1: We have some special stuff coming, like stuff behind the scenes.
- 0:30Speaker 1: You know, we're like, oh, we gotta cut that, we
- 0:32Speaker 1: gotta no, we can include it. So we're gonna be
- 0:34Speaker 1: doing stuff, especially with your at Lenko Soccer Stadium, which
- 0:39Speaker 1: was kind of cool that you built that, and we
- 0:41Speaker 1: have the actually you went through and you took photos
- 0:43Speaker 1: of you building, Max and I built.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It because it's World Cup, right, That's why you sent
- 0:48Speaker 2: it to me, and I built it and Max and
- 0:50Speaker 2: I built it and it was it was fun to build.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It's this one was a little bit more actual. So
- 0:58Speaker 2: you sent me some snapstart and stuff before, right, which
- 1:00Speaker 2: was just like here's the spy Kit one, right, which
- 1:02Speaker 2: had like a speaker and a voice changer and an
- 1:07Speaker 2: LED and a motion detector of stuff. This one was
- 1:09Speaker 2: it's you build a little game. You build a little
- 1:13Speaker 2: soccer game that shoots. The little motors spin and they
- 1:15Speaker 2: shoot little soccer balls. And it was cool. It was
- 1:18Speaker 2: a lot more in depth. It was a lot more
- 1:19Speaker 2: wiring to do. And you scared me by saying that
- 1:25Speaker 2: the instructions were gonna be hard to follow. So I
- 1:28Speaker 2: don't know if I got a different set of instructions
- 1:30Speaker 2: or if it just made sense to me. But Max
- 1:33Speaker 2: and I didn't have any problems talking at all. There
- 1:35Speaker 2: was some missing pieces in the documentation, like it didn't
- 1:39Speaker 2: like there weren't there were wires that weren't label.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It was it was the wires, that's yeah, they weren't.
- 1:44Speaker 2: They weren't. They weren't labeled like they had He said, like,
- 1:47Speaker 2: you know, wire A goes to this and it's like,
- 1:49Speaker 2: well there's an A on this side, but there's not
- 1:50Speaker 2: an A on the other word, the other end goes.
- 1:52Speaker 2: We had to trace some wires and stuff. But yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 2: Max had a good time putting it together. I mean
- 1:57Speaker 2: he doesn't he doesn't fully understand the electronics concepts, but
- 2:00Speaker 2: he knows that this ware goes here and it's a
- 2:03Speaker 2: battery and positive negative that.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Kind of stuff.
- 2:05Speaker 2: So it was fun to put together. And Andy o'posts
- 2:08Speaker 2: a video toa but it's yeah, it's a little soccer
- 2:11Speaker 2: game with a goalie that moves and you know, a
- 2:14Speaker 2: linking to make sound effects. And it's cool.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Lenco makes these products. And you may have heard, you know,
- 2:19Speaker 1: being a parent or a grandparent, you may have heard
- 2:21Speaker 1: of STEM, you know, and that basically you know, science, technology, engineering, mathematics,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and it's the whole idea of using these theories to
- 2:31Speaker 1: help understand them. While you might not be doing math,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you're still helping to put stuff together. And what's nice
- 2:38Speaker 1: about the ones from Alenco is you don't you know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: there's no screwing in and there's there's like one you
- 2:44Speaker 1: have to do. I think you.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Probably it's like the battery compartment.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it, and but I mean other than that,
- 2:50Speaker 1: and it comes with everything you need to put it
- 2:52Speaker 1: all together. But it's pretty much snaps.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It's it's all snaps, and yeah, the motors, it's it's cool.
- 3:00Speaker 2: It's it's really well done for what it is, and uh,
- 3:05Speaker 2: it works really well. And Max and Daniel enjoyed playing
- 3:07Speaker 2: with it, so Daniel was a little more rough on
- 3:09Speaker 2: it and.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Used a real soccer ball.
- 3:13Speaker 2: He kept because it's like it's got a playing surface,
- 3:15Speaker 2: like it's got a little like plastic playing surface that
- 3:17Speaker 2: covers where the electronics are and Daniel just like take
- 3:21Speaker 2: rip that out and then it's the whole thing. But
- 3:24Speaker 2: it's a little bit of rewiring once Daniel plays with it.
- 3:27Speaker 1: How was the fourth of July for you? Last weekend?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Of course the show was on, but it was the
- 3:31Speaker 1: fourth How did you did you have fun? Did the
- 3:34Speaker 1: kids have a good time? Still have all my fingers?
- 3:37Speaker 1: That's good.
- 3:39Speaker 2: We had a good time. We didn't do much. I mean,
- 3:42Speaker 2: we went up north to my to where my parents
- 3:45Speaker 2: are because my mom's family always gets together for the
- 3:48Speaker 2: summer and it's just a summer cookout and you know,
- 3:52Speaker 2: some sprinklers, kids can run around it and stuff and
- 3:54Speaker 2: too much food. But my parents were traveling, so they
- 3:58Speaker 2: weren't even in town, and my brother was traveling and
- 4:01Speaker 2: my other brother, his guard unit got deployed to DC
- 4:04Speaker 2: for the two hundred and fiftieth celebration, so my brother
- 4:07Speaker 2: was actually my brother was actually still in DC supporting
- 4:09Speaker 2: the festivities going on down there.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He had to be sweltering. It was hot.
- 4:15Speaker 2: He said, it was hot.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah, people from Arizona that went and they were complaining
- 4:20Speaker 1: about the heat. I mean that that tells you something.
- 4:22Speaker 2: So you know, then they had the severe weather there
- 4:24Speaker 2: and stuff. So we you know, we cut We watched
- 4:27Speaker 2: it on TV after at the evening, and but we
- 4:31Speaker 2: had a bunch of weather to come through here, like
- 4:33Speaker 2: so it rained a bunch. Thankfully, it didn't rain on
- 4:37Speaker 2: the fourth, but it rained the day before, rain, the
- 4:39Speaker 2: day after rain, the day after that. It's been a
- 4:41Speaker 2: lot of rain since. So today it was the first
- 4:44Speaker 2: day we haven't had rain in like three days.
- 4:46Speaker 1: So, you know, it's really interesting because the fireworks show.
- 4:50Speaker 1: They do a firework show at Animax Park. It's a
- 4:53Speaker 1: combination fireworks and drones, which is pretty amazing. When you
- 4:57Speaker 1: see him all put together. People always say drones that
- 4:59Speaker 1: don't get it. But when you could put them together
- 5:02Speaker 1: and you could have them fashion, you know, a saying
- 5:04Speaker 1: like America two fifty and some of the other things
- 5:07Speaker 1: that were doing, people were pretty pleased with it. One
- 5:10Speaker 1: of the big shows that they do in southern Arizona
- 5:12Speaker 1: is the one in Tucson at a mountain, a mountain
- 5:15Speaker 1: of course, a for University of Arizona, and it's right,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, right across the freeway people park at the
- 5:21Speaker 1: convention Center and they watched this amazing show. One year
- 5:25Speaker 1: when I was working at another radio group, they actually
- 5:28Speaker 1: asked me to create the music from soundtracks and then
- 5:32Speaker 1: I had to send it to the fireworks people and
- 5:34Speaker 1: they did all the timing with it and it was great.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Man.
- 5:37Speaker 1: We had music in there from Sorry Rudy. I know
- 5:42Speaker 1: you're in South Bend, Indiana. You love Rudy, love it, yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 1: But I had music from Rudy, had music from Aliens,
- 5:49Speaker 1: from James Horner, had Gosh, I had Air Force one.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I had all kinds of really great, powerful soundtracks that
- 5:57Speaker 1: went well with the music, and they use that. But
- 6:00Speaker 1: they've talked that this year that they just did the
- 6:03Speaker 1: fireworks show. Final year for fireworks, they're not gonna do
- 6:06Speaker 1: They're only gonna do drones. And I'm I'm just wondering,
- 6:11Speaker 1: you know, with today's drones, because they're not using you know, mavicks,
- 6:15Speaker 1: are they I mean to make this happen.
- 6:17Speaker 2: I'm not. I don't think so. They're probably just carrying
- 6:20Speaker 2: a couple of LEDs and I don't know. I'd have
- 6:22Speaker 2: to do some research into it, but I know that
- 6:25Speaker 2: we had a drone show on campus last year or
- 6:28Speaker 2: maybe the year before, and it was like twelve hundred drones.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah, it's amazing, right, it's you. It's ridiculous.
- 6:35Speaker 2: It's a lot, and they're all synked up and they
- 6:37Speaker 2: were making pictures of the Golden Dome and touchdown Jesus
- 6:40Speaker 2: and other things, and it was crazy.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It was good.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It was very well done and it was sinking to
- 6:44Speaker 2: the music and all stuff, so it was really well done.
- 6:47Speaker 2: It's just I don't know. That's yeah, the money has
- 6:51Speaker 2: to be invested. The company that's doing it has to
- 6:53Speaker 2: make money. I get that fireworks are a liability, they're
- 6:57Speaker 2: a fire hazard, they're not always acceptab well for the weather.
- 7:01Speaker 2: That kind of stuff too, and you can be a
- 7:03Speaker 2: little more creative with drones. But I'm surprised we haven't
- 7:06Speaker 2: seen more of that. But the more people want to
- 7:10Speaker 2: do it, the less availability there is for people to
- 7:13Speaker 2: do it, because there's so manly, so many companies that
- 7:15Speaker 2: do it right right, So I can't imagine everybody is
- 7:19Speaker 2: going to move to that but it would probably save
- 7:23Speaker 2: some money.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It'll be it'll be interesting to see how it impacts
- 7:27Speaker 1: for Tucson. And people say it's just drones, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 1: because you missed the bang, you missed the pop. They're
- 7:35Speaker 1: not going to be doing that, of course, but it'd
- 7:37Speaker 1: be one show and then another and the oh wow wow,
- 7:40Speaker 1: a lot of those wow moments. I will tell you something, though,
- 7:43Speaker 1: ridiculous sean that I heard, and I'm not knocking them.
- 7:47Speaker 1: There's another guy that does like I do TV segments.
- 7:50Speaker 1: There's another guy that does TV segments that is a
- 7:54Speaker 1: national guy, and you know those segments are sometimes pretty
- 7:58Speaker 1: entertaining and informative. But he did one about fireworks, and
- 8:02Speaker 1: I kind of wanted to stay away from the idea
- 8:05Speaker 1: of how to take better pictures with your smartphone and
- 8:09Speaker 1: fireworks because, let's face it, you see it at firework
- 8:13Speaker 1: shows people do do it, hold up the camera the
- 8:16Speaker 1: entire time, capturing the entire show, taking pictures, trying to
- 8:21Speaker 1: get that one great picture to send too somebody who
- 8:23Speaker 1: doesn't care. I mean, maybe I'm just big jaded, right, No,
- 8:28Speaker 1: I mean I've.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Done my fair share of long exposure firework stuff. Yeah,
- 8:32Speaker 2: I'll pull some links together so you can share some
- 8:34Speaker 2: stuff from taking over the years. But it's not easy, no,
- 8:38Speaker 2: and you're not gonna be able to get you know,
- 8:42Speaker 2: everybody tries to replicate what they see in professional photography,
- 8:46Speaker 2: and you just got to put your phone down enjoy
- 8:48Speaker 2: the show. You're not getting maybe now with newer phones,
- 8:52Speaker 2: but you can't get that quality of picture.
- 8:56Speaker 1: With a phone, right, I mean you could try, but
- 9:00Speaker 1: again you're spending the whole time trying, not watching the show.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Well you said right there, put the phone down and
- 9:06Speaker 1: enjoy the show. I mean that's you know. And I
- 9:09Speaker 1: mean I was in our backyard and I've got a
- 9:12Speaker 1: clear view of the show that happens at Morana. What
- 9:15Speaker 1: did I do? I put on my soundtrack, was listening
- 9:18Speaker 1: to Rudy. I was listening to some great soundtracks while
- 9:22Speaker 1: the fireworks were going off, and it matched with it,
- 9:25Speaker 1: and that made it all the more better while I
- 9:27Speaker 1: was focusing on the fireworks itself. But here's the thing
- 9:31Speaker 1: that really threw me. At the end of the segment,
- 9:33Speaker 1: he said, and this is where I think we're just
- 9:36Speaker 1: over reliant sometimes, he said, if you're not happy with
- 9:39Speaker 1: your picture and you've got one that looks like it
- 9:42Speaker 1: could stand out. Pop it into Gemini and have AI
- 9:45Speaker 1: correct it. Then it's not a photo of the event.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I don't know. You know,
- 9:52Speaker 1: it's easy. I like AI. I love what Gemini does,
- 9:55Speaker 1: love with Topez, I love what you know Firefly can do.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But it's like, at that point, is it like is
- 10:00Speaker 1: that a little too much?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Maybe it all depends on what you go for if
- 10:05Speaker 2: you're trying to be creative, if you're trying to do
- 10:07Speaker 2: some stuff, it all depends on what you go for
- 10:10Speaker 2: because it's art. Yeah, and again I will say this
- 10:13Speaker 2: for the million time. You start taking the humanity out
- 10:17Speaker 2: of art and you're just going to get crap slop slop. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 2: it's you can't. The human element in art is what
- 10:26Speaker 2: makes it art.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 2: So anytime somebody tells you we'll just put in an AI
- 10:31Speaker 2: and we'll fix it, garbage, get out of here with that.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a It was a little frustrating because that's
- 10:37Speaker 1: the first thing I thought of. And again I'm not
- 10:40Speaker 1: saying that, you know, we shouldn't use Gemini for some things.
- 10:44Speaker 1: I just thought at that moment, I thought, maybe there
- 10:47Speaker 1: is a time where you say, don't worry about it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You know, recently I made a trip to uh, California.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I went to my mom's and I found I found
- 10:57Speaker 1: some pictures, some polaroids. Uh, and yeah, that's that's my
- 11:03Speaker 1: prom that's that's me. Yeah, I know, right, getting my
- 11:08Speaker 1: first radio, that was that was me. Actually it was
- 11:12Speaker 1: this is my fifth radio. And the thing is, with polaroids,
- 11:17Speaker 1: they did not hold color very well. You know, the
- 11:21Speaker 1: number one didn't take great photos, great photos. You know,
- 11:24Speaker 1: it just got the image all right. So I put
- 11:27Speaker 1: it in a photoshop, you know, light room, tried to adjust,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and I just there's so many different variations, so many issues.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So I went ahead and I I went ahead and
- 11:36Speaker 1: used Gemini. I popped it in a Gemini said, can
- 11:39Speaker 1: you enhance this for me? And the It's funny because
- 11:42Speaker 1: when you look at what you would have gotten, uh,
- 11:46Speaker 1: seven months ago, maybe even a year ago with Gemini,
- 11:50Speaker 1: versus what you get today because the engine, of course, sure,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm sure has been upgraded. It looks so much better.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So I'm pretty pleased with it. I'm still gonna hold
- 12:00Speaker 1: on to it because I figured, okay, I've scanned it,
- 12:02Speaker 1: which is Number one. That's good. Which that's a good
- 12:05Speaker 1: question I want to ask you. But I've scanned it,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and you know, I could try generating again in another
- 12:12Speaker 1: year and see where it's all at. But here's a question, Sean,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I have to ask for you. I've got all these
- 12:18Speaker 1: photos that I need to scan, scan it, and of
- 12:22Speaker 1: course I don't want to touch all of them up.
- 12:25Speaker 1: One thing I am doing is I am noting if
- 12:28Speaker 1: I do upgrade any of these If I do, you know, generate,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I write Jen on the I keep the original, and
- 12:36Speaker 1: of course I write jen, so I know it's generated.
- 12:39Speaker 1: But you know one thing he can't capture is the
- 12:40Speaker 1: writing on the back of the photo. Oh no, you
- 12:43Speaker 1: can how with the photo with the fast photo fast
- 12:47Speaker 1: photo six eighty.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Yeah, so the fast Photo six eighty has a dual
- 12:51Speaker 2: sensor in it. It'll scan both the front and the back.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Ah. Perfect.
- 12:55Speaker 2: And so there was actually just so somebody literated today
- 12:58Speaker 2: today I'm ready. Somebody asked the question, Hey, I inherited
- 13:02Speaker 2: gazillion photos and slides and all this stuff, how do
- 13:05Speaker 2: I do it? And there was a lot there was
- 13:06Speaker 2: a lot of people that had a very similar story
- 13:08Speaker 2: to the way I did it. I have a V
- 13:10Speaker 2: six hundred the flatbed scanner with the slate Senate, so
- 13:14Speaker 2: you can do you know, thirty five slides, you can
- 13:17Speaker 2: do thirty five mili negatives, you can do four by
- 13:19Speaker 2: sixes whatever. Then you came on the show, you know,
- 13:24Speaker 2: and you said, hey, I got I demoed this fast
- 13:28Speaker 2: you know epsence Fast Photos sixty sixty W and You're
- 13:32Speaker 2: like it was amazing. So I was like, you know what,
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'm just gonna buy one. So I bought one. Right,
- 13:37Speaker 2: it scans both sides, so you can you can put
- 13:40Speaker 2: your bulkkin so it's like thirty to forty pictures at
- 13:43Speaker 2: a time, right, and it'll scan it and it'll capture
- 13:45Speaker 2: both sides.
- 13:46Speaker 1: At the same time something on the other side.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Right, That's that's exactly. I literally specifically left this feedback.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I was like, you have to remember it can capture
- 13:57Speaker 2: both sides. Except every time time you recapture a new
- 14:01Speaker 2: batch of photos, it doesn't disable the backside scanning.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Some of you do a little separation, right, So I would.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Recommend if you have a bunch of pictures and you're
- 14:13Speaker 2: using the fast photo to bulk capture the ones, you
- 14:17Speaker 2: know you have writing on the back right, because I
- 14:21Speaker 2: went through probably two to three hundred pictures after I
- 14:25Speaker 2: had scanned a bunch of writing on the back right
- 14:28Speaker 2: and realized, oh, now I've got all these folders, individual
- 14:31Speaker 2: folders by month by year, because I organized it all
- 14:34Speaker 2: by month and year. And also that had two pictures
- 14:39Speaker 2: of each front and back front and back front back
- 14:42Speaker 2: with nothing on it. You know how much of a
- 14:44Speaker 2: pain in the river rend it is to go to
- 14:46Speaker 2: the imagine and just select every other file and a
- 14:49Speaker 2: folder delete it that may have eighty or ninety pictures
- 14:52Speaker 2: in it.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Wow.
- 14:54Speaker 2: So if you're using the fast photo to do it, yes,
- 14:58Speaker 2: you can scan both the front of the back, and
- 15:00Speaker 2: it's pretty cool. I'll pull up a sample during the
- 15:02Speaker 2: break and show you the front the back. But you
- 15:05Speaker 2: have to remember if you're not scanning something with backs
- 15:07Speaker 2: rich stuff right on the back, you don't want to
- 15:09Speaker 2: have because it's two. It scans two separate images and.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It retains them as as like one one image file,
- 15:16Speaker 1: so that an okay.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Photo one O one A, one on one B one
- 15:23Speaker 2: O two A one O two B.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Got it.
- 15:26Speaker 2: So it just generates a bunch more and if you
- 15:28Speaker 2: just have to go through delete all the blank ones.
- 15:30Speaker 2: It's annoying. So but yes, you can scan, and it
- 15:35Speaker 2: was great because it can do polaroids also, so you
- 15:38Speaker 2: can put polarids through that. You can you can shrink
- 15:41Speaker 2: down the paper size or the print size and it'll
- 15:43Speaker 2: scan polariights too. So if you get right down on
- 15:47Speaker 2: the back of pole ards, do polaroids. I did polaroids
- 15:50Speaker 2: postcards documents four by six is five by six is
- 15:55Speaker 2: all the way up to eleven by not elevens eifteen
- 15:57Speaker 2: eighty eight and a half by eleven.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Right, I have the EPs in V. Thirty nine, which
- 16:01Speaker 1: is flatbed, and I was wondering, you know, if you
- 16:05Speaker 1: don't clean the fast photo, which you have, right, they
- 16:10Speaker 1: can jam up, can't they? If you're you're so you
- 16:13Speaker 1: have to. You have to keep that clean, don't you.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, So it collapses from the front. It's got rubber,
- 16:18Speaker 2: little rubber pullers, rubber pulleys in it. Then you have
- 16:21Speaker 2: to clean and it it's very thin, right, so as
- 16:25Speaker 2: it pulls through all those old photos, you're pulling off debris,
- 16:28Speaker 2: you're pulling off mold, you're pulling off whatever. So I
- 16:32Speaker 2: reckon you'll notice it too. You'll notice it in your skins.
- 16:35Speaker 2: You'll say, well, why does that look blurry or why
- 16:37Speaker 2: does that look streaky? Because it's got the sensor glasses
- 16:40Speaker 2: is covered with some gunk. I made the mistake of
- 16:45Speaker 2: pulling out a bunch of pictures that were in an
- 16:47Speaker 2: album right that had been this weird adhesive in there,
- 16:51Speaker 2: cleaned most of them off, put a handful of them
- 16:54Speaker 2: through it. Just it just got gunked up. So I
- 16:57Speaker 2: just used seventy percent I sprople on a little cotton free,
- 17:00Speaker 2: lint free padru sub scrub, let it run and it
- 17:03Speaker 2: was fine. So but I did that perfect. I started
- 17:06Speaker 2: doing that after every bulk scale, like I would bulk scan.
- 17:09Speaker 2: You know, sixty pictures here, clean it, sixty pictures to
- 17:13Speaker 2: clean it. So I started doing it every time in between.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Can you clean like the photo your itself before you
- 17:19Speaker 1: do that or is it better just no, don't touch
- 17:21Speaker 1: the photo because you could, I mean I could think maybe.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Yeah. So you get varying feedback on whether or not
- 17:29Speaker 2: you should clean them or not right, and what you
- 17:31Speaker 2: should clean them with. Most people just recommend you using
- 17:33Speaker 2: water to clean them, but certain certain film reacts different
- 17:37Speaker 2: to water than it is alcohol. You can ruin the
- 17:39Speaker 2: emulsion in the film if you're not careful. So I
- 17:43Speaker 2: would do a little bit of research on your own
- 17:46Speaker 2: and figure out what works for you. It also depends
- 17:48Speaker 2: on what film stock you have. So yeah, I cleaned
- 17:53Speaker 2: them with alcohol. I cleaned all my slides with alcohol.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I clean all my negatives with alcohol. I didn't clean
- 17:59Speaker 2: any of my or by six is the loose stuff
- 18:01Speaker 2: because just the way the inklays on it, it started
- 18:04Speaker 2: getting weird and gummy and some other stuff. So I
- 18:07Speaker 2: ended up just like wiping them off with like a
- 18:09Speaker 2: microfiber cloth and getting any big chunks of debris off
- 18:12Speaker 2: and fingerprints. But because he had glossy Matt, not Matt,
- 18:16Speaker 2: it was weird, weird, mixed. But I'm sure, I'm sure
- 18:20Speaker 2: some film preservationists is out there screaming at me because
- 18:23Speaker 2: I have the way I clean my films.
- 18:24Speaker 1: But Epsen makes the the fast photo line and uh,
- 18:29Speaker 1: so far, so far, so good, you know, Uh, And like,
- 18:33Speaker 1: how would let me ask you, how would you adjust
- 18:36Speaker 1: a photo like this where you've got that orange tone.
- 18:39Speaker 1: It's an old film stock, you know, is that something
- 18:43Speaker 1: you could actually fix in lane or just leave it
- 18:45Speaker 1: like this? I mean, it all depends on what.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Your photoshop skills are, or if you want to trust
- 18:49Speaker 2: AI to do it. Yeah, I don't write, I have
- 18:55Speaker 2: a very it's it's I don't want to call the
- 18:57Speaker 2: mantra whatever, but it's it's I'm very aware of AI
- 19:02Speaker 2: and it's the way you can use tools with Photoshop
- 19:05Speaker 2: and all this stuff. And I don't edit my photos.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I do very minimal highlight, shadow, contrast adjustments. And the
- 19:15Speaker 2: only a I have used on my photos has been
- 19:18Speaker 2: AI Noise Production, which has existed for decades at a
- 19:22Speaker 2: specific level of reducing noise in the grain and stuff.
- 19:26Speaker 2: So I don't know. Some people ask me all the time,
- 19:29Speaker 2: can you edit these photos? And I'm like, no, you
- 19:32Speaker 2: can't even touch them up. No, I'm not doing it.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I don't believe in it. You can go to somebody else.
- 19:37Speaker 2: There's a bunch of places online you can go and
- 19:38Speaker 2: send them in and have somebody touch them up, or
- 19:41Speaker 2: for you know, somebody that's good as photoshop whatever. But
- 19:44Speaker 2: it's I like taking good pictures. I'm not editing good pictures.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I still have my Walkham pen, I still have my
- 19:51Speaker 1: Walkum tablet. And there was a photo recently that I
- 19:55Speaker 1: saw and I thought, oh, I want to I want
- 19:58Speaker 1: to fix that. I want to fix that. And rather
- 20:01Speaker 1: than just taking it and dropping that photo into Gemini
- 20:05Speaker 1: saying clean it up, which I know it could have
- 20:07Speaker 1: done in just a matter of you know, ten seconds,
- 20:11Speaker 1: it was fun to take it into Photoshop and the
- 20:13Speaker 1: new Photoshop tools. Let's let's face it, there's a certain
- 20:16Speaker 1: amount in there that have made it a lot easier
- 20:19Speaker 1: than the previous Photoshop versions if you've used those, or
- 20:22Speaker 1: even if you use something other, you know, Corel or
- 20:25Speaker 1: any of the other programs that are out there. But
- 20:27Speaker 1: it's fun to take it, you know, and adjust it
- 20:29Speaker 1: with the pen and draw right on the tablet and
- 20:32Speaker 1: look what you're doing on the screen. It takes a
- 20:34Speaker 1: little time, well, it takes a lot of time versus
- 20:36Speaker 1: what you get from generating it. But again you could
- 20:39Speaker 1: say you did it yourself. So I don't know, it's
- 20:42Speaker 1: something to think about.
- 20:43Speaker 2: So I did a quick search for tips on how
- 20:47Speaker 2: to clean for loose four y six's and I was right.
- 20:51Speaker 2: A microfiber or lint free, linten free cotton pad to
- 20:55Speaker 2: still the water. There is a photographic pit cleanup Peck twelve,
- 21:00Speaker 2: which I have some of that too. That's what I
- 21:03Speaker 2: used for when I cleaned mine, but always tested on
- 21:08Speaker 2: a non important photo because right, and especially jets. If
- 21:11Speaker 2: you frintage your own yeah, you are going to smear.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Like if you've printage your own pictures on any type
- 21:17Speaker 2: of paper ever, Yeah, you can't. You can't clean those.
- 21:20Speaker 2: They are just going to smear and it's gonna be awful.
- 21:23Speaker 2: But the things never used. Don't use glass cleaner because
- 21:25Speaker 2: it's got ammonia and other weird stuff in it. H
- 21:29Speaker 2: paper towel because it's a super abrasive, magic erasers because
- 21:32Speaker 2: it's basically sandpaper.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Yeah, that would not be good. Sand paper in your photo,
- 21:41Speaker 1: not good at all. Now did you buy the Super
- 21:45Speaker 1: eight from Kodak? I'm trying to think. Did you get
- 21:49Speaker 1: that the Super eight film Converter? I think, oh, so does.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Somebody asked me about that the other day and I said,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I think, Sean God, it's the.
- 21:56Speaker 2: One I have. Is called I don't think they it's
- 21:58Speaker 2: available anymore. You might be able to find it on Amazon.
- 22:02Speaker 2: There's other models that are almost identical. So somebody found
- 22:05Speaker 2: the patent and cloned it in China and there's a
- 22:07Speaker 2: bunch of different ones, right, mine is called the Wolverine
- 22:10Speaker 2: movie Maker. Pro got it. Kodek makes one. There's a
- 22:15Speaker 2: there's a bunch of other brands that are They look identical,
- 22:18Speaker 2: same process, right, but it's a it's a stepper motor.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It pulls in, does frame by frame spit you out
- 22:24Speaker 2: at twenty four frame per second MLV at the end,
- 22:28Speaker 2: so you don't have to do any of the post
- 22:29Speaker 2: processing on those. There's benefits, there's there's pros and cons
- 22:34Speaker 2: on that, but it was worth it.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you got your project done. So that's kind
- 22:42Speaker 1: of cool. Because I saw that Kodek has one. Somebody
- 22:45Speaker 1: had asked me about it. I said, you know, I've
- 22:47Speaker 1: never used it, but I think Sean has used one.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I think the Kodek one it looks I won't identical
- 22:51Speaker 2: to the what I used, so I can't imagine it's
- 22:53Speaker 2: what's different.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Huh. It's interesting. You know the people are are looking
- 22:58Speaker 1: to preserve their data. I mean, I you know, photos,
- 23:00Speaker 1: just stacks of photos and they were sitting in a
- 23:03Speaker 1: photo album that I brought back and that photo album
- 23:06Speaker 1: was falling apart. Wow, So first thing I did take
- 23:09Speaker 1: them out of the photo album and hold me to this.
- 23:11Speaker 2: What are we about to say, hold me to this right,
- 23:13Speaker 2: all right? How many times have I said there is
- 23:16Speaker 2: going to be analog film stuff coming back in stores,
- 23:19Speaker 2: and you're going to see more instant cameras and you're
- 23:22Speaker 2: gonna see film in stores again. How many times I've
- 23:24Speaker 2: said that, I've said that.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I've said it a lot, but I've always kind of been.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Saying, there's gonna be an analog revolution of some kind. Right,
- 23:30Speaker 2: We're gonna go back to shooting film. Went to Meyer
- 23:33Speaker 2: the other day. I had to buy an SD card. Okay,
- 23:36Speaker 2: my Nintendo switch.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Meyer is like a grocery. It's a grocery store.
- 23:39Speaker 2: It's like a Walmart, but it's a local to the Midwest,
- 23:43Speaker 2: and I want I just walked by all the stuff
- 23:45Speaker 2: and I was I was like, oh, I need to
- 23:47Speaker 2: pick up some film for my Polaroid camera, which I
- 23:49Speaker 2: They have in the store at Meyer because they have
- 23:51Speaker 2: the you know, since they really re released the poll rights,
- 23:55Speaker 2: they've had the film available.
- 23:58Speaker 1: They have they have we.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Add quick fujanan Fucifilm Quick Snap instant cameras. Kodak had
- 24:06Speaker 2: some instant cameras with the power flash. Yeah, they had
- 24:09Speaker 2: they had disposable cameras at Meyer. They also had individual
- 24:14Speaker 2: roles of two hundred and four hundred ISO film. Well,
- 24:19Speaker 2: so somebody in our area is buying film and it's
- 24:23Speaker 2: not me, but the fact that I didn't have to
- 24:26Speaker 2: go to Jean's Camera Store, which is where I bought
- 24:28Speaker 2: my film in the past for my Minolta, I'm very
- 24:32Speaker 2: happy about that.
- 24:33Speaker 1: You know what a lot of people are doing for parties,
- 24:37Speaker 1: whether this be weddings or I don't think they've done
- 24:41Speaker 1: him memorials, but they'll do a birthday parties is they'll
- 24:45Speaker 1: put the cameras on the t desks and say, people
- 24:48Speaker 1: take pictures, and that's rather I don't want to say,
- 24:52Speaker 1: rather than hiring a photographer because I know some great
- 24:54Speaker 1: photographers out there. They just let the people take the
- 24:57Speaker 1: pictures and they take them and then they drop them
- 24:59Speaker 1: at the end of the night into a bucket and
- 25:02Speaker 1: the person who's holding the party goes it, gets it
- 25:03Speaker 1: developed and it's kind of a cool thing. So if
- 25:06Speaker 1: you've ever thought it, that's one thing that people are
- 25:08Speaker 1: doing at weddings and yep, it's kind of cool. All right,
- 25:10Speaker 1: we got to take a quick break. We come back.
- 25:12Speaker 1: There's been backlash about something we talked about last week,
- 25:16Speaker 1: so we'll cover more of that. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm
- 25:18Speaker 1: shot a word.
- 25:19Speaker 2: You can follow us on Facebook at tech Talkers.
- 25:22Speaker 1: We'll be back now, back to tech talk Radio.
- 25:26Speaker 2: It's the end of an era, Andy, The era of
- 25:30Speaker 2: physical media for PlayStation is over.
- 25:34Speaker 1: We talked about this last week and then seriously, shun,
- 25:37Speaker 1: wasn't it like two days later everything we had said
- 25:40Speaker 1: this could happen, right, So it's happening.
- 25:43Speaker 2: We originally talked about the Sony store in the UK
- 25:46Speaker 2: losing the rights to five hundred and fifty something movies,
- 25:50Speaker 2: right and basically just yanking them out from under, pulling
- 25:53Speaker 2: the rug out from under people's feet, saying, yeah, you
- 25:56Speaker 2: didn't really buy that, you just bought a license, and
- 25:58Speaker 2: now you don't even known it. It's not even on
- 25:59Speaker 2: your anymore. You can't download it, you can't get it,
- 26:02Speaker 2: you paid for it, you don't know it anymore. Goodbye.
- 26:04Speaker 2: And then we talked about how with the release of
- 26:06Speaker 2: GTA six you can get a physical addition, but it's
- 26:09Speaker 2: just a code to box, and then PlayStation just doubles
- 26:11Speaker 2: down and says, we're ending physical discs forever. We've already
- 26:16Speaker 2: sold our disc manufacturing plants. They're moving on to someone else. Well,
- 26:21Speaker 2: we're never We're not making any more physical games period
- 26:24Speaker 2: for PlayStation done manned? Did that open the troll floodgates.
- 26:27Speaker 1: That's where that backlash came in.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Backlash is been hilarious. Not for PlayStation they're they're really
- 26:36Speaker 2: There are brands across every industry that are just coming
- 26:39Speaker 2: out throwing shade at PlayStation Dominos, g Fuel, Proton Mail.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Proton Sports Awards.
- 26:48Speaker 2: This one's great, it says. In response to trends in
- 26:51Speaker 2: the gaming industry. As of twenty twenty eight, the Sports
- 26:53Speaker 2: Awards will cease production of physical trophies and digital trophies.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Only winners will be able to download their trophy as
- 26:58Speaker 2: a JPEG or PNG to display in a virtual display.
- 27:01Speaker 1: What about Dominoes? Do you want to domo that one?
- 27:04Speaker 2: Fun?
- 27:04Speaker 1: Yeah, Dominoes are pretty good.
- 27:06Speaker 2: In response to trends in the gaming industry, as first
- 27:08Speaker 2: of April twenty twenty seven, Domino's UK will cease This
- 27:11Speaker 2: is from the UK. Domino's UK will cease the production
- 27:13Speaker 2: of physical pizzas and shift to production of digital pizzas.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Only consumers will be able to download our full range
- 27:19Speaker 2: of delicious piece of codes and using the power of
- 27:21Speaker 2: the imagination, enjoy them in an entirely virtual sense. I mean,
- 27:24Speaker 2: they're a company after company after company, and it's it's
- 27:27Speaker 2: hilarious because this is a dangerous shift in policy for
- 27:31Speaker 2: the gaming industry.
- 27:32Speaker 1: This announcement they already have and I would hope it'd
- 27:36Speaker 1: be more than this, but they have over one hundred
- 27:38Speaker 1: and seventy thousand signatures so far saying that this is
- 27:42Speaker 1: a petition against their decision to end physical disc Now,
- 27:47Speaker 1: the disc won't completely end until January of twenty twenty eight, which,
- 27:53Speaker 1: you know, not that far away if you think about it,
- 27:55Speaker 1: I mean a year and a half that you know,
- 27:58Speaker 1: if you wanted to get your favorite game on a
- 28:01Speaker 1: disc loaded up anytime you wanted, you would not be
- 28:04Speaker 1: able to do.
- 28:04Speaker 2: That, right, No, I mean it's but I get where, why?
- 28:11Speaker 1: Why? When was the last So.
- 28:14Speaker 2: If I look back at the video games I've been playing,
- 28:16Speaker 2: what was the last physical copy of a game that
- 28:18Speaker 2: I bought?
- 28:19Speaker 1: Okay, that makes sense.
- 28:21Speaker 2: I have to think back, Okay, what was it? Well?
- 28:24Speaker 2: I think it was a copy of the Teenage Mutant
- 28:27Speaker 2: Ninja Turtles collection for my Switch that I bought because
- 28:29Speaker 2: I wanted a physical copy of it, Mario wonder. I've
- 28:33Speaker 2: bought most of my games on my switch physically, but
- 28:36Speaker 2: I've also bought probably double that in software only, meaning Nintendo.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Could you hate it from me at any time? So
- 28:46Speaker 2: all by Steam games? Right, the ones? The ones I
- 28:48Speaker 2: get on Steam. I can't download a DRM free version
- 28:51Speaker 2: of that installer just to play offline if I want to.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Right, But you have.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Things like good old games Goog that you can go
- 29:01Speaker 2: into go Og. In any game you buy on go Og,
- 29:04Speaker 2: you can get a d r M free installer offline.
- 29:08Speaker 1: You can't. Yeah, so you could take it.
- 29:10Speaker 2: You could. You could physically own it, move it, store
- 29:12Speaker 2: it whatever, burn it to a disc and then put
- 29:15Speaker 2: it on another machine or save it for a future event.
- 29:19Speaker 1: So but that's why isn't why why isn't Sony doing that?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Is it because of the size? Just like, Hey, you
- 29:26Speaker 1: bought the game, okay, cool here, you know you play
- 29:29Speaker 1: here on our on our platform. You could also download
- 29:32Speaker 1: it so you could play it on your you know,
- 29:34Speaker 1: your console.
- 29:35Speaker 2: It's a tricky scenario, right, because if you want a
- 29:38Speaker 2: game that's not bugged out and complete, you got to
- 29:45Speaker 2: get updates for it. Well, they're not shipping you another
- 29:48Speaker 2: disk with the updates, right, You got to get those
- 29:50Speaker 2: updates applied to your hard drive.
- 29:54Speaker 1: And they've been doing this.
- 29:55Speaker 2: This is the way it's been since early GTA for
- 29:57Speaker 2: the like the Xbox three sixty and the PlayStation three.
- 30:01Speaker 2: You got the disc, you installed it, and then you
- 30:03Speaker 2: installed updates from the web to play online and things
- 30:05Speaker 2: like that. So every not every game needs to be online.
- 30:11Speaker 2: But if a game ship, since it's got bugs, it's
- 30:13Speaker 2: got to get fixed.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Yeah, so you got to be able to get updates
- 30:17Speaker 1: for it.
- 30:17Speaker 2: But again, they're not shipping you a disc with the updates, right.
- 30:21Speaker 2: You got it, you know, back in back in the day,
- 30:23Speaker 2: if you will, Right when you got a game and
- 30:25Speaker 2: you bought it on a disc, it came with whatever
- 30:29Speaker 2: bugs it had and that was it.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
- 30:32Speaker 2: So we're in a world where everybody wants a perfect game,
- 30:36Speaker 2: everybody wants to be connected to the internet. Everybody wants
- 30:39Speaker 2: to have it immediately or you're not getting that with
- 30:41Speaker 2: a disc, and you're not getting these these incredible games
- 30:43Speaker 2: as these massive worldwide games on a Blu Ray.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So do you do you think this is a good
- 30:51Speaker 1: idea showing. I don't know.
- 30:53Speaker 2: I hate it because I grew up in an era
- 30:56Speaker 2: where physical games were a thing. But you can't get
- 30:59Speaker 2: it that way now. If I download the game, let
- 31:03Speaker 2: me download the installer and put it wherever I want.
- 31:08Speaker 2: But again that up those updates come from somewhere.
- 31:12Speaker 1: They have to.
- 31:13Speaker 2: There's a server somewhere that's hosting all these files. Right,
- 31:17Speaker 2: So it's it's a very complicated scenario. But there are
- 31:22Speaker 2: games that could be made physically. Sure, don't end disc
- 31:26Speaker 2: production for those games that want to be shipped physically,
- 31:31Speaker 2: and just don't just do it completely. But I get
- 31:34Speaker 2: that there are these huge titles that are out there
- 31:36Speaker 2: that won't fit on discs, and it's it's an inconvenience
- 31:41Speaker 2: for players, and people don't realize how much of an
- 31:43Speaker 2: inconvenience it was to have to load disc multiple discs.
- 31:47Speaker 2: You know, Final Fantasy seven on the PlayStation two was
- 31:51Speaker 2: four to seven whatever, gazillion discs, Soild Snake three discs.
- 31:55Speaker 1: You know, I have a flip side on the flip side, seohn.
- 31:58Speaker 1: There are games that I own, I can't play any
- 32:00Speaker 1: more that you know, we're for Windows ninety five. And
- 32:03Speaker 1: then ninety eight and whatnot. I can't play them, but
- 32:05Speaker 1: I couldn't go on to games and I can play
- 32:07Speaker 1: them there. Yeah, you know, that's but I'm I'm spending
- 32:11Speaker 1: money again. That's the whole point.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I just I don't know how to I don't
- 32:17Speaker 2: know how to feel about this because I agree that
- 32:20Speaker 2: the loss of physical media sucks, but at the same time,
- 32:23Speaker 2: the content that people want doesn't support being on disc.
- 32:27Speaker 1: I think Justin kind of nailed it a bit last week,
- 32:31Speaker 1: because then we have to look at everything in that respect.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I mean, let's face it, with games followed by you know,
- 32:40Speaker 1: movies and TV shows followed by books, we have seen
- 32:45Speaker 1: more and more people now using e readers and using
- 32:49Speaker 1: digital books digital media. We have a big, huge book
- 32:53Speaker 1: show here in Tucson, the Tucson Book Fair. People still
- 32:56Speaker 1: like to read books, but many people ingest that content online.
- 33:02Speaker 1: They download their book and they that they read it
- 33:05Speaker 1: at their leisure, whether they're you know, on their tablet
- 33:08Speaker 1: or whatnot. I'm kind of wondering. You know, Hideo Koshima
- 33:13Speaker 1: and I don't know if he pronounced his name right,
- 33:15Speaker 1: was quoted by GameSpot saying consumers at the mercy of
- 33:19Speaker 1: subscription streaming services, nations, politics, and various ways of thinking.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Access to films can be revoked at any time, and
- 33:28Speaker 1: this could happen to games too. He said, what is
- 33:29Speaker 1: happening to video games in twenty twenty eight might also
- 33:33Speaker 1: happen to movies, And he said, I'd like everyone to
- 33:35Speaker 1: keep that in mind. And you know, I'm again, movies
- 33:39Speaker 1: could be next. We like going to you know, our
- 33:43Speaker 1: the five dollars bin at Walmart, or we like going
- 33:45Speaker 1: to you know, the shelf where you can buy movies,
- 33:49Speaker 1: or like ordering them on Amazon and getting a physical
- 33:52Speaker 1: copy of a movie.
- 33:53Speaker 2: People have their I still go buy a physical copy
- 33:56Speaker 2: of the movies that I want, but then I immediately
- 33:59Speaker 2: rip it.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Of course we're down plex, right.
- 34:03Speaker 2: So I'm still supporting the physical media. I still have it.
- 34:07Speaker 2: I have a shelf right back here that's got tons
- 34:09Speaker 2: of movies on it, right and I just bought a
- 34:11Speaker 2: box full of VHS types of the yard sale, like
- 34:13Speaker 2: thirty Disney movies for five bucks.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Wow. So amazing. I mean, but if they take that away,
- 34:19Speaker 1: if they take the movies away, and whether from you
- 34:23Speaker 1: being able to buy them and only say no, you
- 34:24Speaker 1: could just download it, you know, are you downloading it
- 34:28Speaker 1: on their server that you could only watch it on
- 34:30Speaker 1: their server?
- 34:31Speaker 2: No, you know, I'm raising the flag and sail on
- 34:34Speaker 2: the high seas, buddy.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Yeah. I think a lot of people think that, think
- 34:38Speaker 1: of that, but it will We'll have to see how
- 34:40Speaker 1: far this plays out. And again, I think a lot
- 34:42Speaker 1: of people would really be up at arms when it
- 34:45Speaker 1: comes to them doing that with books. We've seen it
- 34:48Speaker 1: happen to magazines. You know, you used to be able
- 34:50Speaker 1: to go to the store and you could still do it,
- 34:52Speaker 1: buy magazine, but mainly magazines now a lot of people
- 34:55Speaker 1: ingest that online.
- 34:57Speaker 2: That's the beauty of the Internet Archive too, right, so
- 35:00Speaker 2: content that you can't get anymore, right, I download. The
- 35:03Speaker 2: Internet Archive is a archive that people can upload content too,
- 35:08Speaker 2: and a lot of it is curated by Coppyred owners.
- 35:12Speaker 2: So Nintendo, you can go online and download the entire
- 35:16Speaker 2: collection of Nintendo Powers PDFs from the Nintendo portion of
- 35:19Speaker 2: the Internet Archive.
- 35:21Speaker 1: So there's no chart to use Internet Archive, no archive
- 35:26Speaker 1: dot org. Right, yes see. Yeah. You can also look
- 35:29Speaker 1: up old websites which is wayback machine, the wayback machine,
- 35:33Speaker 1: or even you can watch old TV shows. There are
- 35:35Speaker 1: certain TV shows you can find on there. But again,
- 35:41Speaker 1: I mean you make a good point about the magazines.
- 35:42Speaker 1: You can find those, but yeah, having I mean, then
- 35:46Speaker 1: what do we do over years you throw away the
- 35:48Speaker 1: magazines anyways? You get to a point, yeah, just chuck them.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I mean I had to intend to power for a
- 35:53Speaker 2: long time and I don't have any anymore. I'm sure
- 35:58Speaker 2: I destroyed them or you know, I was a kid,
- 36:01Speaker 2: or my parents were like, you don't read these anymore
- 36:03Speaker 2: and they got toss any yard sale or tossed on
- 36:06Speaker 2: the burn pile.
- 36:07Speaker 1: So yeah, oh boy, that's just that's no fun. I
- 36:12Speaker 1: saw a story I wanted to share with you this week.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Have you ever heard of builder dot ai or engineer
- 36:20Speaker 1: dot ai. So they were a startup and they said
- 36:25Speaker 1: that they could create an app building as easy as
- 36:31Speaker 1: ordering a pizza. And I was reading the story about it,
- 36:34Speaker 1: and they said, you know, the you tell the platform
- 36:38Speaker 1: what you wanted, let Ai handle the hard part, the coding. Right,
- 36:42Speaker 1: you could get an app built without you having a
- 36:45Speaker 1: no code or not having to have somebody that works
- 36:48Speaker 1: in your IT department. That's that's all they do, and
- 36:50Speaker 1: you pay them a lot of money for it. So
- 36:52Speaker 1: investors like the idea again, that's called Builder AI. Right.
- 36:56Speaker 1: The company reached a valuation of one billion dollars. Pretty
- 37:01Speaker 1: good stuff. But then they found out something The AI
- 37:05Speaker 1: did not exist. The AI was the name of Natasha,
- 37:10Speaker 1: at least that's what they called it. And it was
- 37:13Speaker 1: revealed that the AI was a front. It was actual
- 37:16Speaker 1: coding and customer interactions being manually handled by seven hundred
- 37:21Speaker 1: human engineers and developers based in India. And it's kind
- 37:27Speaker 1: of one of the stories, how you know you the
- 37:29Speaker 1: AI has become such a flashy term and flashy thing.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I saw some comments on being half Indian. I kind
- 37:36Speaker 1: of chuckled at them because AI actually meant not artificial intelligence,
- 37:41Speaker 1: it meant all Indian and that was that was creating it.
- 37:46Speaker 1: But it's a great story if you want to go
- 37:47Speaker 1: online and find a story about what happened to them.
- 37:50Speaker 1: And you know they since of course had gotten bankrupt
- 37:53Speaker 1: Builder dot ai or Engineer dot ai. But yeah, pretty
- 37:57Speaker 1: pretty interesting story how they raised that much mon and
- 38:00Speaker 1: then found out about false premise, not AI. All right,
- 38:04Speaker 1: we're gonna take it.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Maybe the rest of the AA bubble will go that way.
- 38:07Speaker 1: That's what people are saying, We're gonna take a quick
- 38:09Speaker 1: break week. Coming back, We've got some listener questions we
- 38:12Speaker 1: will share with you, and a brand new product coming
- 38:14Speaker 1: out from Insta three sixty. We have some infol on
- 38:17Speaker 1: that we'll share with you. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Seanda Weird.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Find us on your favorite podcasting platform and subscribe to
- 38:24Speaker 2: us on YouTube at tech talk Radio.
- 38:25Speaker 1: We'll grow back and now back to tech talk Radio.
- 38:29Speaker 1: We love the listener questions, and we got a great
- 38:32Speaker 1: one in from Regina in Salwadita. And I don't know
- 38:36Speaker 1: if Regina's given us some shade, Sean, but I wanted
- 38:41Speaker 1: to share it with you. Says I was gonna follow
- 38:43Speaker 1: your advice and try to build my own computer, but
- 38:47Speaker 1: a guy at work told me that was bad advice.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So the guys from tech talk Radio, we'll give out
- 38:52Speaker 1: bad advice because we've said that before. We've said what
- 38:56Speaker 1: a great experience that could be to build your own computer.
- 38:59Speaker 1: You know.
- 39:00Speaker 2: So I think we all built our own computers, Like yeah,
- 39:02Speaker 2: I think the machines we're all running the show on
- 39:04Speaker 2: you and me, justin Matt, everybody that's been on the
- 39:06Speaker 2: show has been running out of computers they built themselves.
- 39:09Speaker 1: The only thing I have that's not home built is
- 39:12Speaker 1: my laptop. That's probably it. This guy work told me
- 39:15Speaker 1: it was bad advice, that it was better to buy
- 39:18Speaker 1: and already put together computer because I would save money.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Depends yeah, Reginas, maybe we're giving bad advice. What is
- 39:26Speaker 1: your best thought on this, Regina and Celwaidiata.
- 39:29Speaker 2: It depends on where you can get it and what
- 39:31Speaker 2: kind of deal you can get. Yeah, I would say
- 39:35Speaker 2: if you live by a microcenter, they have incredible flash
- 39:40Speaker 2: deals on pre built computers. Oh yeah, I get emails
- 39:43Speaker 2: from them all time because we have one in it.
- 39:44Speaker 2: There's a microcenter in Indianapolis. It's like two hours and
- 39:47Speaker 2: forty five minutes away because it's on the South side Indy.
- 39:49Speaker 2: And I get really bad, really mad when I find
- 39:51Speaker 2: a really good deal and I want to get it,
- 39:53Speaker 2: but you can only pick it up in the store.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I'm not driving three hours to get it. But there
- 39:57Speaker 2: are some reputable pre built computer manufacturers out there.
- 40:01Speaker 1: But let's face that we like we like motherboards from Asus.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Asus has some pre built systems that you can buy.
- 40:08Speaker 2: So the problem right now is a lot of these
- 40:12Speaker 2: pre builts probably had deals and built ram and stuff
- 40:16Speaker 2: before the prices got out of control.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Well even so, Sean at you know, even then, So
- 40:22Speaker 1: here's the deal. And I'm gonna say to Regina that
- 40:25Speaker 1: the advice that her person is giving her is right.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I mean, the advice we gave and we have given
- 40:34Speaker 1: in the past about building your own was great, man,
- 40:36Speaker 1: it's it's fantastic. But honestly, the idea of building your
- 40:40Speaker 1: own right now is just too expensive. Because Dell and
- 40:45Speaker 1: Asus and some of the other manufacturers, alienware or whatever,
- 40:51Speaker 1: they actually have deals, long term deals that have been
- 40:54Speaker 1: written in that we get the memory for this amount
- 40:57Speaker 1: of dollars, we get the SSDs for this amount of dollars,
- 41:01Speaker 1: we get a motherboard, CPU's case, casework, you know. So
- 41:06Speaker 1: they're locked in. I bought, and I told you not
- 41:08Speaker 1: long ago, I bought got a great deal at Walmart.
- 41:10Speaker 1: I bought a processor A fourteen, you know, fourteen K
- 41:14Speaker 1: and it was like a nine to nine. I bought
- 41:17Speaker 1: a motherboard a Z seven ninety and I'm pretty happy
- 41:21Speaker 1: with that. But the problem is once I started piecing
- 41:24Speaker 1: everything together, Sean, the memory DDR five and then the
- 41:30Speaker 1: other day even I went, I was in office depot
- 41:33Speaker 1: and I was looking for a power strip, and you know,
- 41:37Speaker 1: not just power strip, but you know, Jewel rated the
- 41:39Speaker 1: whole bit. And I walked over by the as I
- 41:42Speaker 1: always do, I walked over by the hard drives and
- 41:45Speaker 1: I look at the SSDs and I had to double
- 41:47Speaker 1: take because a year and a half ago, I could
- 41:52Speaker 1: buy an SSD, a one terabyed SSD. I could even
- 41:55Speaker 1: get it as low as maybe I want to say,
- 41:58Speaker 1: seventy dollars. Yeah, maybe even cheaper. They're now going for
- 42:02Speaker 1: over four hundred and thirty dollars yep, for one just
- 42:06Speaker 1: one terrorbyte. Now it's interesting because you get a two
- 42:09Speaker 1: terrorbyte M two, you could get that for about the
- 42:13Speaker 1: same price. But SSDs right now are in demand. It's
- 42:18Speaker 1: not just memory crazy yeah yeah, and graphics cards too.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Graphics cards are hard to get. I mean, if you're
- 42:25Speaker 1: not gonna run games, okay, sure maybe you could run
- 42:27Speaker 1: it off the if you've got a graphic capable processor,
- 42:30Speaker 1: a graphic capable motherboard, sure you don't have to spend
- 42:33Speaker 1: the extra money on a graphics card.
- 42:34Speaker 2: But yeah, right, I mean, right now, I tell Regina
- 42:37Speaker 2: to buy a pre built right now for one. It's
- 42:39Speaker 2: gonna save you some time because you're not going to
- 42:42Speaker 2: build it, but you might just be able to get
- 42:44Speaker 2: a better deal on some of the higher end components
- 42:47Speaker 2: that they have in stock. Now, that doesn't mean the
- 42:49Speaker 2: prices haven't gone up on free builds. Motherboards and cases
- 42:55Speaker 2: and other peripherals are dirt cheap right now because people
- 42:58Speaker 2: aren't building computers right now because they're said that, you know,
- 43:01Speaker 2: the RAM and the memory prices are so expensive.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean if you want to get it and
- 43:06Speaker 1: maybe not build and just put it away for a
- 43:08Speaker 1: little bit, but we don't. I mean, we have to
- 43:10Speaker 1: hope that these prices are going to come down. But
- 43:12Speaker 1: the reason for this, and everybody tells you the same
- 43:17Speaker 1: thing AI data centers. What are they building computers and
- 43:21Speaker 1: just using it all up? Or well that's how's that working.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Everybody's all confused because they're like, oh my god, why is
- 43:27Speaker 2: AI eating up memory? All AI is just computers that
- 43:31Speaker 2: live in somebody else's building that you're using compute time on. Yeah,
- 43:36Speaker 2: so that those those all that cost is going into
- 43:41Speaker 2: building the pieces that are needed for those huge multi
- 43:44Speaker 2: billion dollar factories that are just cranking out data.
- 43:48Speaker 1: It's compute power, well, it's it's frustrating. So yeah, Regina,
- 43:54Speaker 1: I think microcenters we don't have here. I think the
- 43:57Speaker 1: nearest one they might have in Phoenix. I'm not sure.
- 44:01Speaker 1: I'd recommend Costco if you've got a Costco membership. Sam's
- 44:06Speaker 1: best Buy and what I would recommend with best Buy
- 44:09Speaker 1: if you go in there, look at their open box steals.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I've had good I've had really good success with open
- 44:18Speaker 1: box steals. My last laptop I bought, I got an
- 44:21Speaker 1: open Box price on it that was mind boggling. Somebody
- 44:25Speaker 1: told me the other day they bought themselves a computer.
- 44:28Speaker 1: They got it for five hundred bucks. Normally that computer
- 44:31Speaker 1: would be about a grand and it has everything they need,
- 44:34Speaker 1: what they need to do, one terabyte, you know, hard
- 44:37Speaker 1: driving it. It had sixteen gigabytes of RAM. So again
- 44:41Speaker 1: they were pleased with that. So, you know, check the
- 44:43Speaker 1: open box steals and if.
- 44:45Speaker 2: You're willing to deal with people, Facebook Marketplace always has
- 44:52Speaker 2: hidden gems. People don't always know what they're selling. People
- 44:55Speaker 2: don't always know what they have, but you take a
- 44:57Speaker 2: big risk on buying used guidbit So if you're right
- 45:00Speaker 2: willing to take the risk on used equipment, Facebook Marketplace
- 45:03Speaker 2: is a great opportunity to get some some killer deals
- 45:06Speaker 2: on something that you know, somebody's needs money real quick
- 45:10Speaker 2: and they need to get rid of something and a loss.
- 45:13Speaker 2: You might be able to find something good there. But
- 45:15Speaker 2: you know your miles, baby, yeah.
- 45:19Speaker 1: I also wouldn't you know SWS Electronics. They're here in
- 45:24Speaker 1: the Tucson area, Sean. They sometimes will take computers when
- 45:28Speaker 1: somebody has to upgrade or needed to upgrade, and they
- 45:31Speaker 1: have a bevy of used computers as well, so you
- 45:34Speaker 1: may take a look if you don't have to have
- 45:36Speaker 1: a new computer. I mean, having a new computer is great.
- 45:38Speaker 1: You know, you could run everything you needed to run.
- 45:41Speaker 1: But if that's the case, I'm not sure what you know,
- 45:44Speaker 1: Regina was going to build one, So I'm sure she
- 45:46Speaker 1: was going to build for something that she really wanted
- 45:48Speaker 1: to benefit from and get the best bang for the buck.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Your best bang for the buck right now, maybe to actually,
- 45:56Speaker 1: unfortunately just buy your own rig. And while you may
- 45:58Speaker 1: lose some of that that the ability to say I
- 46:02Speaker 1: built it myself, this might still be a good solution
- 46:05Speaker 1: for you. I saw this one on threads Sean this,
- 46:11Speaker 1: and I thought, well, it's not asking us the question,
- 46:14Speaker 1: but it made me smile. So I wanted to share
- 46:16Speaker 1: it and wanted to see what you thought it's from.
- 46:20Speaker 1: It's Lynn Mama's baby girl. They have the greatest names
- 46:24Speaker 1: on threads. On threads. The question that you posted to
- 46:27Speaker 1: everybody was what's the best way to clean out the
- 46:30Speaker 1: inside of your computer? Any helpful videos or how to tips?
- 46:35Speaker 2: Wait, you're supposed to clean the inside of your computer?
- 46:37Speaker 1: I guess you are. Yeah, I guess you know once
- 46:40Speaker 1: in a while enough. If Justin was here, we know
- 46:41Speaker 1: he would say, just shoot it with a hose of.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I mean, so like my routine, I've got I've got
- 46:50Speaker 2: it right here. Actually, I bought this fancy little blower.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I love that thing. Yeah, put the.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Brush on it. Go to every month or so. I
- 46:59Speaker 2: just open up the side of my can and just
- 47:02Speaker 2: hit it with this with the compressed air and kind
- 47:03Speaker 2: of brush over the components a little bit, get all
- 47:05Speaker 2: the dust out of there. And you know, the tip
- 47:10Speaker 2: I would give everybody is if you're going over the fans,
- 47:13Speaker 2: just to hold the fan down so it doesn't spin
- 47:15Speaker 2: because they don't like to free spin on the bearings.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Just to not because they're you know, if they're doing
- 47:20Speaker 2: don't do it. Don't do it when it's on. That's
- 47:23Speaker 2: a static and all that stuff. So power it off,
- 47:25Speaker 2: unplug it, press the power button to discharge the capacitors
- 47:28Speaker 2: if you need to. But I recommend going, you know,
- 47:30Speaker 2: opening the side of the case, brushing it with that,
- 47:32Speaker 2: but then also like laying it on its side and
- 47:34Speaker 2: getting the fan underneath, because a lot of computers have
- 47:37Speaker 2: their power spy fans that are on the bottom to
- 47:40Speaker 2: pull air in. So sometimes people forget the power spy
- 47:43Speaker 2: fans and stuff, but you know, they obviously the obvious
- 47:46Speaker 2: things are one, don't clean it with water. No, don't spray,
- 47:50Speaker 2: don't don't spray it with chemicals, don't do any of
- 47:52Speaker 2: that stuff. Now, the outside of the case different, different story, right,
- 47:56Speaker 2: but you shouldn't clean electronics with water ever.
- 48:00Speaker 1: And if you're doing it on the outside of the
- 48:01Speaker 1: case and you're gonna you know, you want to use
- 48:04Speaker 1: some wosh, which I think is great, you know, or
- 48:06Speaker 1: any other product, put it on the microfibercloth. Don't put
- 48:10Speaker 1: it on. Don't spray it onto the computer because you
- 48:13Speaker 1: might have not have a fan there and that liquid's
- 48:16Speaker 1: going to go inside the computer. So don't do that,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you know, always on the cloth and then wipe.
- 48:20Speaker 2: But I mean, if you do that once, you know,
- 48:23Speaker 2: once a month every other month, unless you're a smoker
- 48:28Speaker 2: or you have you have a lot of pets and
- 48:30Speaker 2: you don't do good job of cleaning your house, you're
- 48:33Speaker 2: not gonna have a crazy ton of build up, right.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I see all these horror stories online of people that
- 48:38Speaker 2: have inches of an inch of dust on their fans
- 48:41Speaker 2: or you know, hey, my mom was a smoker, and yeah,
- 48:45Speaker 2: it's just that tar and that's not.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Just dust that Actually I've seen it before on a
- 48:49Speaker 1: on a video card and to pull the video card
- 48:53Speaker 1: and look and it was it would not free spin
- 48:56Speaker 1: at all, you know, and it was brown. It was
- 48:59Speaker 1: like it was like, yeah, so you don't want to
- 49:02Speaker 1: do that around your computers. So if you do, I mean,
- 49:04Speaker 1: or cigars.
- 49:06Speaker 2: But you know, the other recommendation is if you haven't
- 49:08Speaker 2: cleaned it in a while and it is pretty dusty,
- 49:10Speaker 2: unplug everything, take it outside and hit it with the
- 49:14Speaker 2: brush and you know, the the airbrush and or a
- 49:17Speaker 2: can of compressed air or something and do it outside
- 49:20Speaker 2: so you can at least get the dust bunnies back
- 49:21Speaker 2: on their home. Yeah, well, he's got a can.
- 49:24Speaker 1: He's still got to be careful with this because this
- 49:26Speaker 1: number one, these little nozzles at the end of the
- 49:29Speaker 1: compressed air cans can shoot off into the computer. Again,
- 49:33Speaker 1: do it when the computer's off. Uh, just good recommendation.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Don't have it on and be careful because if you
- 49:40Speaker 1: hit it too close. The jumpers there are little jumpers
- 49:44Speaker 1: that can tell your motherboard okay, do this, or it
- 49:47Speaker 1: could do that, or it can't do that. They can
- 49:49Speaker 1: fly off. Yep, and that's happened. So definitely the head.
- 49:53Speaker 2: Of the header pins will come off with enough force
- 49:55Speaker 2: of the compressed air.
- 49:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and then your computer won't start. Then you have
- 49:59Speaker 1: to do tell you how to clean it? What's that?
- 50:02Speaker 2: Then you're gonna blame.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Us told yeah, exactly, give it bad advice again. There
- 50:08Speaker 1: we go. All right, Well, another one we got from Larry.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I want to say we get to this one. What
- 50:14Speaker 1: do you think about this one? Larry says, wanted to
- 50:16Speaker 1: get your thoughts on this. I was thinking about thinking
- 50:19Speaker 1: for security and the ability to watch some BBC and
- 50:23Speaker 1: Canadian channels, about getting a VPN. VPN stands for virtual
- 50:28Speaker 1: Private network, so I kind of understand the concept. Is
- 50:31Speaker 1: there something I can do with software or should it
- 50:34Speaker 1: just go ahead and buy a hardware router with VPN.
- 50:37Speaker 1: We have Verizon as our provider and they don't have
- 50:40Speaker 1: that type of thing with a question mark Larry in Tucson.
- 50:43Speaker 2: So there are tons of VPN providers, right, yeah, and
- 50:47Speaker 2: I use the one that is included with my malwar
- 50:50Speaker 2: Bite subscription, which I can connect to any pretty much.
- 50:54Speaker 2: There's a huge list of countries that I can connect
- 50:57Speaker 2: to where they have servers based in and it'll out
- 51:00Speaker 2: my informations are there. So if I'm blocked by something
- 51:03Speaker 2: that I want to watch on Netflix that's only available
- 51:06Speaker 2: in the UK, I can connect to a UK based
- 51:09Speaker 2: VPN and get that content through there.
- 51:11Speaker 1: And I know Canada has had some good music specials,
- 51:13Speaker 1: so maybe that's the deal, you know, and you can
- 51:16Speaker 1: only watch them in Canada.
- 51:17Speaker 2: It's weird because like here in Michigan and Indiana, we're
- 51:20Speaker 2: so close to Canada. Like you, you would think that
- 51:23Speaker 2: that kind of stuff would filter across the mid know,
- 51:25Speaker 2: it's all regionally based, So even because we're so close
- 51:28Speaker 2: to Canada that you still don't get that content. You
- 51:31Speaker 2: still have to connect to a VPN. But the vps
- 51:33Speaker 2: are also just good for security, right. So it's like
- 51:35Speaker 2: if you're remote on a laptop and you're at a
- 51:39Speaker 2: private at a public place, your information is going through
- 51:42Speaker 2: their service provider, through their service provider servers. Being able
- 51:46Speaker 2: to connect to a VPN just helps you feel a
- 51:48Speaker 2: little bit more secure and you know where your traffic's going.
- 51:51Speaker 2: So again, I use the one for Meller Bytes, but
- 51:53Speaker 2: there's tons of free ones, there's tons of paid ones.
- 51:56Speaker 2: You're just got to do a lot of research and
- 51:57Speaker 2: there's guides and stuff.
- 51:58Speaker 1: But I know semant is one, nord is another, and
- 52:01Speaker 1: it's a matter of turning on when you want. Now
- 52:03Speaker 1: a hardware router though, is that would be a situation
- 52:06Speaker 1: where the VPN is on all the time and then
- 52:08Speaker 1: you just tell it which server you wanted to jump
- 52:11Speaker 1: to if you need to. Right.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Yeah, So I have a Netgear Nighthawk and there's a
- 52:15Speaker 2: there's a Netgear VPN I can connect to. I've never
- 52:17Speaker 2: used it because I just prefer a software version gives
- 52:21Speaker 2: me a little bit more flexibility, So it's not always on.
- 52:23Speaker 2: A lot of the major hardware providers for routers and
- 52:27Speaker 2: stuff have hardware VPNs built in. But I mean, if
- 52:30Speaker 2: you really want to go crazy. You can buy standalone
- 52:33Speaker 2: hardware VPNs or build your own using open pfsense or
- 52:37Speaker 2: something along those lines. Do your own firewall routers and
- 52:40Speaker 2: stuff like that. Your own VPN. That's getting a little
- 52:42Speaker 2: home labby.
- 52:42Speaker 1: And a little expensive too. And it gets a little expensive. Yeah,
- 52:45Speaker 1: all right, We're going to take a break, come back,
- 52:47Speaker 1: brand new product will do that when we come back
- 52:49Speaker 1: with tech talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Sean de Weird. Find us on next sit tech talk Radio.
- 52:53Speaker 1: We'll we're back and now back to tech talk Radio.
- 52:57Speaker 1: It's the three sixty.
- 52:59Speaker 2: You talked about them on the show before with their
- 53:00Speaker 2: handheld gimbal camera and stuff like that. The Luna hasn't
- 53:03Speaker 2: officially announced their new camera yet, but they're announcing a
- 53:06Speaker 2: new three sixty camera called the X six. What's known
- 53:09Speaker 2: about it right now comes from FCC filings and other
- 53:11Speaker 2: patent filing stuff, so it's an industry league, not an
- 53:14Speaker 2: official product launch. Why does the X six matter? It's
- 53:17Speaker 2: image quality if they're bumping it up to a massive
- 53:20Speaker 2: eight K, and it's weird because people are like, oh, ak,
- 53:23Speaker 2: it's gonna be really good. Well, yeah, when you're shooting
- 53:26Speaker 2: two lenses and eight K and you're shooting spherical, you're
- 53:28Speaker 2: punching into a four K image out of that AK.
- 53:31Speaker 2: So having the higher resolution of the higher pixel dentcy
- 53:34Speaker 2: is going to be huge for quality, and the frame
- 53:37Speaker 2: rate is higher. So the biggest piece of this rumor
- 53:39Speaker 2: upgrade THO is a larger image size. There's no real
- 53:42Speaker 2: specs yet on it, but they're saying it's going to
- 53:44Speaker 2: be larger, so one more pixel dentsy or larger pixels
- 53:47Speaker 2: meaning better light dynamic and then rumored is are all rumors.
- 53:51Speaker 2: They're saying it's going to bump up to sixty frames
- 53:53Speaker 2: instead of thirty, so ten bit color, better HDR, better
- 53:57Speaker 2: image processing, faster frame rate, and eight K. You've been
- 54:00Speaker 2: seeing this trend go on. If you've watched anything on
- 54:03Speaker 2: YouTube with shorts of stuff, you see these all the time,
- 54:05Speaker 2: These weird stick cameras sticking off of stuff right.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Yeah, off Carys time. Yeah.
- 54:12Speaker 2: Those are these types of cameras where they can then
- 54:14Speaker 2: post they can basically record in three hundred and sixty
- 54:17Speaker 2: degrees and then in post processing pick which where they're
- 54:20Speaker 2: looking based on what they want to show.
- 54:22Speaker 1: So and that's all done through the Insta three sixty editing. Uh,
- 54:26Speaker 1: they have like a program that helps you edit. I've
- 54:28Speaker 1: never actually had a chance to check that out. I know,
- 54:31Speaker 1: uh Premiere, you know, supposedly you could work with that,
- 54:34Speaker 1: but I don't know how you would bring that footage in.
- 54:36Speaker 2: It's an Instant three sixty etache software, so you can
- 54:39Speaker 2: pick where your image is based on logic or if
- 54:42Speaker 2: you are tracking somebody or something. So they have their own.
- 54:45Speaker 2: GoPro has their own, DGI has their own. They all
- 54:48Speaker 2: kind of have their own.
- 54:48Speaker 1: So pretty good stuff. All right, that's it for this
- 54:51Speaker 1: week's show. Hopefully, if you've got a question, feel free
