Transcript
- 0:00Happy Sunday, everybody. I think it's around 2:00 and
- 0:07you're looking at it. Study it hard.
- 0:10Whose plane is that? Whose plane is that?
- 0:19The GOAT. The greatest of all time,
- 0:23Michael Jordan. Look at that swish on the back
- 0:26right there, huh? Michael Jordan's pilots are
- 0:30inside here at the fixed based operation, we call it the FBOFBO
- 0:38means fixed based operation. So we thought coffee with Kenny
- 0:43would be obviously very late. But look at aviation in NASCAR.
- 0:50These Gladiators race 39 races a year.
- 0:57When you run 39 races a year, you cannot get on commercial
- 1:00airplanes. It just doesn't work that way.
- 1:05These guys get done racing on a Sunday night.
- 1:07They got to be back to the shop on Monday working.
- 1:11They're coming to take me away today.
- 1:13Hey, hey, hey. Everybody's 60-70 years old.
- 1:18You'll know that. Who was that?
- 1:20They're They're coming to take me away today.
- 1:23Hey, hey. Because you know, I'm crazy.
- 1:25But anyway, I'll turn the phone around and I'll explain all the
- 1:30aviation to all of you. Are you ready?
- 1:33Are you ready to look at NASCAR aviation right now?
- 1:37Remember, this is not a waste of money.
- 1:40You can't take all the crew members and put them on
- 1:42commercial airliners. It does not work that way.
- 1:46So when you talk about the cost of NASCAR, you got to realize
- 1:50that this has got to be factored into it, no different than your
- 1:55professional baseball, football, hockey team.
- 1:58They they can't fly commercial because they got a hell, they're
- 2:01playing in Nashville, TN and tomorrow they might have to be
- 2:04out in Anaheim, CA. Are you ready?
- 2:12Put the coffee down. Here we go.
- 2:19Of course, we all know that's the great Michael Jordan's
- 2:22plane. Now, when you look at these blue
- 2:26and white planes over here, there's 123456.
- 2:32Then you got Hendrick planes. Now all the blue and white
- 2:36planes, those carry all the NASCAR teams and even NASCAR
- 2:42officials. So when you get on those planes,
- 2:46it could be anybody. It could be crew members, it
- 2:49could be NASCAR officials, it could be anybody with the sport.
- 2:53Now, when you look here at these 200 Motorsports planes, those
- 2:57are carrying obviously all the other hundred team members.
- 3:01So you see N5O9, RHS Rick Hendrick, you look over here,
- 3:10you're looking at Roger Penske's playing.
- 3:15That would be the captain N 500 PR.
- 3:19That might be the team playing. That's Penske Racing.
- 3:25There it is, the one we've all been waiting for.
- 3:30There's John, my dear friend. He went out.
- 3:33John just done a safety check. He made sure the plane was ready
- 3:37to go. This could be this.
- 3:43Could this could be Kevin Harvick.
- 3:45I don't know. Or Kevin.
- 3:48Kevin could own the plane and he's leasing it.
- 3:51Who knows that is Denny Hamlin's plane, DHR, Denny Hamlin Racing,
- 4:03beautiful plane Denny Hamlin. You go over here, all these are
- 4:11here's Joe Gibbs teams planes. So you got 2 Joe Gibbs planes
- 4:16and remember these seat about I don't know what 6060 people.
- 4:21Once again, you can never look at Michael Jordan's planes too
- 4:25much or plane and 23 six MJ. His pilots are dressed
- 4:33beautifully. His pilots are dressed to the
- 4:3510s. They're in there.
- 4:36They're very mature. They're watching the race.
- 4:40Michael Jordan's pilots are very seriously looking at the race on
- 4:43the TV, and Michael Jordan's pilots are dressed white shirts,
- 4:50ties, NASCAR. It's not that people are
- 5:02wealthy. It's that this is what it takes.
- 5:06I hope you all understand and you don't make fun of this.
- 5:08You don't. I hope you guys don't do that
- 5:10redneck stuff. Oh, if I had that kind of money.
- 5:14No, it ain't about that. This is what it takes, guys.
- 5:18This is what it takes. You know, sometimes we like to
- 5:23dumb NASCAR down like it's dumb, but it's a very, it's a very big
- 5:28sport. We're talking billions and
- 5:30billions of dollars. So Yep, looking good.
- 5:39I used to have a King Air 200. It was a military plane, twin
- 5:47turbos, prop turboprops. We put 10 people in it and all
- 5:54the all the luggage you wanted to.
- 5:58So we loved our airplane. We got rid of it when we knew my
- 6:02racing career was coming to an end.
- 6:04And here's the thing about an airplane.
- 6:12An airplane is a necessary evil. You can only own an airplane if
- 6:20you can afford it. And you know, like Michael
- 6:24Jordan, that guy, you just go watch the movie.
- 6:28Michael Jordan is still making like forty $44 million a year
- 6:33just off of the tennis shoes that you kids buy.
- 6:38So now, on the other hand, when you look at somebody like me,
- 6:44this is what I fly. Don't laugh, don't laugh.
- 6:53That's $1,000,000 airplane, $1 million airplane.
- 7:01Let me tell you a story about this airplane.
- 7:04It's fast, it's got an up to Rusty told me this, Herman,
- 7:20better safe than sorry. So when you live your life,
- 7:24whatever you do, I don't need insurance because I never use
- 7:30it. I said that to my life coach,
- 7:36Ashok Chadgar. I was bitching to Ashok one day.
- 7:39I said I never use my insurance. And Ashok, in that thick Indian,
- 7:45Indian accent, he goes, my friend, this is good.
- 7:49We don't want to use our insurance, do we?
- 7:54Damn, Ashok, you're right. You don't want to use insurance.
- 7:59You have insurance for catastrophic regions.
- 8:02Let me try that again. Hey, Herman, get the out of your
- 8:06mouth. We have insurance for
- 8:09catastrophic failure. So we have a parachute on this
- 8:13plane just in case you need it. Little insurance.
- 8:17We don't want to use it. This is called an SR22.
- 8:26All right, I hope you all enjoyed this.
- 8:28There's Denny Hamlin, there's John, John's Katoni.
- 8:36Somebody came up to me and they said, Herman, you need to do
- 8:38more videos with John's Katoni. I said, all right, so John's
- 8:43Katoni is going to be on Kenny Conversation.
- 8:46There's way more to John than a lot of people know.
- 8:49John holds a world's record. My friend, my pilot investor.
- 8:54John holds a world's record. He's in the Guinness Book of
- 8:57World Records. This man right here, he holds
- 9:01the Guinness Book of World Records.
- 9:03He landed in 48 states in 38 hours, and he was on WGN News.
- 9:10So we're going to have John on John, are you excited?
- 9:13Come on, Kenny Conversation. I have never been more excited
- 9:16about anything in my whole life. And we're going to talk about
- 9:19everything you've done. We ready to go?
- 9:21We're ready to go. All right, see y'all later.
