- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Uh, I have to read 8992 text 90 8992's text.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: That's kind of a weird thing to get out.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: And I'm feeling f significantly better right now, so that's still weird.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: It's still a transition though, right?
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, it it it is.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've gone through what three days of extraordinary pain.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Well, you said it started on Saturday.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: It did Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, you're it really got going.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: What was the day that I went to go see Dr.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Menchin?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Was it Tuesday?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Monday?
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: No, because we weren't here Monday.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: I think it was Tuesday.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: So it was Tuesday that it was like at its peak performance, like it was rolling in.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: And then uh, and and frankly, I I don't looking back on it, I don't know how I would have made it to today had I not gone and gotten that script and everything.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I can I can't even imagine it.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: It was it was to the point where I just wanted to find a way to knock myself out.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Now, does it make sense when you see those old like Civil War movies and they they use the pliers to take their tooth out?
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Because you just want any kind of release.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Anything.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Anyway, uh 8992 says, good everyone.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: Uh, haven't been up this early in a long time, but my husband had to take my dad to an appointment in Rochester at eight, two hours away.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: Obviously, I've been up since 5:30, and I can't go back to sleep.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: We're here.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: But I will tell you, there's there's the polar opposite.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: If you live with dogs, anybody else having a hard time getting their pop up and out this morning?
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: See, we know we're rolling into showers.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Actually, it started a little bit.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Tomorrow's all rain all day.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: And I swear, last yesterday the dogs were full of energy.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Beautiful day again.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Today, nobody wanted to get out of bed.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: No, they just know.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Junior neither.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: And so I finally asked Zach this morning, could he let him out?
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Usually he doesn't, but just because I do, and Junior, he'll hold it forever.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: And so, and so uh he I said, Can you let him out?
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: He just doesn't want to go out for me.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And of course he said yes, but then finally Junior did the thing that he always does.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: He gets up and he's like, He has this cough.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Uh surprisingly, I I can't do it now all of a sudden.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: I've been coughing for the past three weeks, but I can't.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: He has this old man cough, and that's how I know, oh, Junior is awake because it sounds like he has emphasized.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: He sounds like he has emphysema.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, speaking of old man, is this this is a little bit of a battle in our house?
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Is an almond joy an old person candy?
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I freaking love almond joy.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Now I know that we I only love it once a year.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I love it when it's around Halloween time and we pay more attention to candy.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: I never get on almond joy or a mounds any other time of the year.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Never, but I enjoy the hell out of them when it's Halloween time.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: But when it you kids really don't care about those.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Proving my point.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Sort of.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, but that's what that's what I want to know.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: Because I get it.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Where there's original, that's the joke.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, it's in your grandma's purse.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: But now those older people are probably done.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: And now the older people are well, I mean, I'm 43 and I freaking love an almond joy.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: So Zach's like, that's an old person, candy.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: No, it's coming from the old person.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Oh my God.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: This man loves black licorice.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Oh gross.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: That is disgusting.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: So gross.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: And he goes, You're creeping in.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: You're creeping into the old people.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, just because I love almond joy?
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know that it's an old person candy.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: It doesn't transition to me like the joke about Werther's original being in your grandma's purse, the butterscotch, you know, uh thing that God forbid.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: I choked on one of those when I was a little kid, by the way.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Oh, I still remember my brother Jim holding me upside down over the toilet by my ankles, trying to get it out.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Nobody knew the Heimlich back then.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, luckily he got it.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Born before Mr.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Heimlich.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Uh, but yeah, no, it came out.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I still remember that though.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: I don't really go near those much anymore or have it since I was three.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: I would have PTSD from it.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: But um, I don't know that it's an old person candy.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: I think it's a mature intuit candy.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: And the reason I say this is every kid's gonna go number, this is in my brain, the way it goes.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Something sour if you have a kid that likes sour.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I don't understand that one.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: I never was that kid.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: For me, I don't like Gavin's always like, well, try this.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: It's one of these sour things.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I don't like it if it's not chocolate.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: No.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Warheads.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I think of like the sour gummies, just like squishies are the hottest thing right now, and I look at them and I'm kind of like, we're spending money on this, something filled with shaving cream.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: This is your highlight.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Think of it like that.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: So I it's either something gummy, something sour, or then you have like the Reese cup.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: I don't even know that Snickers is a first choice for a young person.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I know it.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Maybe a Milky Way, but uh, you know, I think we're we're really in that Reese era, you know, if you're under a certain age.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: But then as the pal as the palette, I bet I really gotta set this up.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: As the palate expands and becomes open to newer tastes, I think that's where, not an old person, we expand into the almond joy, the mouth.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Seasoned individuals.
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: Seasoned palettes.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: But think about this one.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And even a Snickers.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And and this is where I think Snickers is a great one because I can't even see Gavin or Lydia eating a Snickers.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Not their first choice.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: I love Snickers when I was a kid.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: When we went trick-or-treating, I loved Three Musketeers and Snickers.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: And and Milky Way.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and those were my two favorite.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: So now I freaking love an almond joy.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: I'm right there.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Here's another one.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: It cools the mouth.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: You never, you're never gonna see I don't think so.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: I don't think you're gonna see Gavin and Lydia eat a York peppermint patty.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Oh, I was just thinking that.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, it was gonna come out of my mouth.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: I love one of those.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: I do, and also kind of a more mature palate candy.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: So this is like uh another lifetime ago, you guys.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: I was in a relationship a long time ago, and his son was between the ages of five and eight when we were together.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: And Bryce Bryce is a little boy's name, who's well, now he went to college.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so Bryce used to love, as a five-year-old, loved York peppermint patties.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And I always thought that was so weird.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: It's I that is that does feel weird.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: Merle said it.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: He goes, I swear, kids only like sour gummies uh candies.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: Another one uh came in for the sour gummies.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Here's one for almond joys and peppermint patties.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I made my kids try uh both of those both of those.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: They love them.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Uh, I think they are just uh underrated candy bars.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, I agree.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Whoa.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: Um, but would your kids have gravitated towards that had you not introduced that?
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: I don't think they would have.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Their stock is taking a little bit, a bit of a dip.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Also, this I have loved almond joy since I was a kid.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Me too.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: But I also know that my mom introduced me to that because my mom loves almond joy.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Anyway, they said I would trade my Halloween candy with my brother just to get all of his.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Also, Natalie said that, and Natalie was born, and I'm just gonna be frank about this.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: She's old enough.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: Well, she's closer to your age.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: She's actually two years older than you.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I knew she was born in the 80s.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I think it was a different era.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I'm talking kids today.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: Natalie, your kid today, your young one.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Uh Cooper, he's three.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he can eat his candy now.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: I don't think he'd gravitate towards that.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Her other kid is like uh nineteen, I think.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Eh, maybe he's had him.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: What do you guys think?
