- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. Today,
- 0:05we're going to talk a little bit more about Leon
- 0:08Black's trip to court and add some context to what
- 0:12went on at that hearing. Now, yesterday we had a
- 0:15bit of an overview about him going to this hearing,
- 0:18about this hearing taking place, but we didn't really know
- 0:21the details yet as far as some of the arguments
- 0:24that went on and some of the animosity being traded
- 0:30back and forth. Now, this is a battle of the titans, folks,
- 0:34Leon Black and Harris. I mean, we're talking two of
- 0:39the biggest of the bigs in the financial sector and
- 0:44watching them lock horns like this pretty epic, honestly. Now,
- 0:49there aren't many people that can stand up to Leon
- 0:51Black and take him on head on, but Harris is
- 0:56certainly one of the very few people that is situated
- 1:00to do that. Now, according to Harris, he has nothing
- 1:04to do with Miss Ganieva and her lawsuits. His beef
- 1:09with Leon Black stems from other things, the fact that
- 1:13he was passed up for Mark Rowan, and mainly the
- 1:16fact that Jeffrey Epstein and Leon Black were so close.
- 1:22So that's where the animosity is coming from. That's where
- 1:24it stems from, and you see it pouring over into
- 1:29every situation that you find Leon Black in at this point. Now,
- 1:34as far as Leon Black's concerned, like we talked about
- 1:37the other day, just another one of these oligarchs, right. Look,
- 1:40let's if the roles were reversed right now, if we
- 1:43were living in a different world and say it was
- 1:45America attacking say Mexico, leon Black would be one of
- 1:49the oligarchs that the world was sanctioning. Can I make
- 1:53that any clearer to people out there? I know it's
- 1:56the en vogue thing right now to you know, hate
- 1:59on the Russian people, But to be very clear, all
- 2:03of us in the West have our own oligarchs. And
- 2:06when I bash these people, these one percent of the
- 2:09one percent, I'm talking about all of them, not just
- 2:12the Russians, not just the Americans, not just the English.
- 2:14The whole entire so called elite ruling establishment is who
- 2:18I have a problem with. And I'm not talking about
- 2:22a group of people in a room, the illuminati. They
- 2:25save that for somebody else, man. I'm talking about the
- 2:27people in the financial sector who really have their finger
- 2:30on the pulse, who really control what goes on and
- 2:34what doesn't go on. Let me ask you a question,
- 2:37would any of these government sanctions work if the banks
- 2:40weren't on board? You know the answer to that, and
- 2:43the answer is no. So we have our own oligarchs here, folks.
- 2:48And while I think it's a great thing to sanction
- 2:50the Russian oligarchs, I've been saying that for years. We
- 2:53have to pay mine to our own problems. And this
- 2:56scumbag Leon black is certainly that caused a lot of
- 3:00grief for a lot of American companies. They're vultures over
- 3:03at Apollo Global. Now, don't get me wrong. They do
- 3:05some good work right, some good investments, blah blah blah,
- 3:08But their bread and butter is to go in take
- 3:11over companies, make some money, and then jettison those companies.
- 3:15What they did with Caesar's Palace here in Vegas is
- 3:17an absolute travesty. And now they got their hands on
- 3:21the Sands, one of the jewels ridiculous man used to
- 3:26be one of my favorite properties. When I worked for
- 3:29counter Fitzgerald. We owned the sportsbooks, the rights to the
- 3:33sports book inside of the Venetian, which is a Sands property.
- 3:36And if you've ever been to the Venetian and seen
- 3:39their sports book. You know how epic it is. So
- 3:42it sucks that Apollo Global is in charge of Sands
- 3:45now because that means I'll never go back to that
- 3:47casino again. Just like I was talking about yesterday with Barclays,
- 3:52I'm not big on like the whole boycott thing. I'm
- 3:54not going to sit here and tell anybody else what
- 3:56to do but me personally. You know, I'm going to
- 3:59do whatever I want to do with my money. I
- 4:01earn my money. It's hard to earn, and I'm gonna
- 4:03spend at how I damn well. Please. And if you
- 4:06think I'm giving Leon Black, Mark Rowan or any of
- 4:09these scumbags over at Apollo Global one red cent, you
- 4:12got another thing coming all right onto the article. If
- 4:18you had to pick two major law firms particularly known
- 4:21for fierce aggressive tactics, you could do a lot worse
- 4:25than naming Quinn, Emmanuel Erkhart and Sullivan and whigdor So
- 4:28again Battle of the Titans. What you could expect when
- 4:31you're dealing with people with this kind of money, folks, Again,
- 4:34that's what it comes down to me or you, we'd
- 4:37be going through the phone book right better call Sauw,
- 4:39not these guys. And that's why it's laughable when Leon
- 4:43Black talks about, oh, I gave Jeffrey Epstein one hundred
- 4:45and fifty eight million dollars for advice. Yeah right, bro,
- 4:50you have all the money in the world. You don't
- 4:52need to give Jeffrey Epstein money for advice. Call on
- 4:54one of your lawyers over here and have them set
- 4:56you up with somebody. Legit. I'm not sure which one
- 5:01is the immovable object and which is the unstoppable force.
- 5:05But when the two collide, as they have in litigation
- 5:09over rape allegations against billionaire Leon Black, well, let's just
- 5:13say it's not pretty. That is definitely the case. Whenever
- 5:17you get these big ass law firms going head to
- 5:20head locking horns, it's always a bloodbath. We saw it
- 5:23with Prince Andrew, David Boyce, Sigared McAuley, even Bradley Edwards
- 5:30and the way that they, you know, clashed with Epstein's
- 5:34lawyers and then Maxwell's lawyers, Prince Andrew's lawyers. When you
- 5:37have these kinds of lawyers out up there and they're
- 5:40litigating cases, let's remember we got to think about and
- 5:43remember that these people all have you know their own ideas.
- 5:49As far as these lawyers go, they're looking to establish
- 5:52more prestige, looking to get more clients, and a lot
- 5:56of these big law firms are super combative. The hostilities
- 6:03escalated in a Quinn filing on Wednesday that accuses Wigdor
- 6:07of making inaccurate representations about when it began representing Black's accuser,
- 6:12former model Guselle Ganieva, and of helping Ganieva promoter claims
- 6:17about Black to journalists. Wigdor partner Geen Christiansen told told
- 6:22me Quinn's latest assertions are so freaking ridiculous and total
- 6:26and utter nonsense. You know what, folks, We live in
- 6:29the age of disinformation, right, So me, I don't trust
- 6:34anything I hear anymore. I have to dig in myself
- 6:36and verify shit, and if I can't verify it, I
- 6:39put it onto the back burner. Right. It's just so
- 6:41hard to discern the real from the fake at this point.
- 6:47So when you're talking about a situation like this with
- 6:50Leon Black and missus Ganieva, you know that there's going
- 6:53to be all kinds of misinformation thrown from these lawyers.
- 6:57They're gonna try and throw people off the scent. They're
- 6:59gonna make it accusations such as this so that you
- 7:02don't pay attention to what Leon Black was up to.
- 7:04So my advice, unsolicited as it may be, is be
- 7:09very very cautious of what you're letting into your brain
- 7:12these days, very cautious. We have nothing to hide, said Christiansen,
- 7:19who was responding to an email query to her and Wigdor.
- 7:22I can't even imagine what a judge is going to
- 7:25think of this. Look. We have seen a lot of
- 7:27weird ass behavior from people around Epstein, Epstein's friends, people
- 7:32who are being charged in relation to Epstein, as far
- 7:35as their legal decisions go and the way their legal
- 7:38teams move. And this might be another one of those
- 7:41crazy ass moves like hell Mary almost because again, let's
- 7:45be clear, Leon Black knows he's cooked. Oh boy, don't
- 7:48have nothing really good friends with Epstein. He had a
- 7:51consensual relationship with this lady. He's already admitted it. Now
- 7:55he has to prove that he's being extorted. Good luck,
- 7:58bro Ranker and outrage have been hallmarks of this litigation
- 8:04since it began in June twenty twenty one, when Wigdor
- 8:08filed the lawsuit for Ganieva in New York State Supreme Court.
- 8:12Ghanieva alleged that Black had sexually abused her for years
- 8:15before coercing her into signing a non disclosure agreement. Look, folks,
- 8:20whenever I hear a man has a woman sign a
- 8:22non disclosure agreement about their sexual relationship, I am automatically
- 8:28automatically suspicious. Why do you need someone to sign a
- 8:32non disclosure agreement over your sexual relationship? Oh wait, you
- 8:36cheated on your wife? Bro? We all know stop it.
- 8:39Is there any of these guys out there, any of
- 8:41these rich, scummy sons of bitches that aren't cheating on
- 8:45their wives. My guess is most of them are. Okay,
- 8:49So what do you mean? What do you need the
- 8:50non disclosure for? Not like your wife's gonna leave you anyway,
- 8:55Leon Black? Really, what it was is because he wanted
- 8:59to control, he had to continue to have control even
- 9:02when the relationship ends. That's what this non prosecution bullshit,
- 9:05I mean, non disclosure agreement bullshit? Is Black, who is married,
- 9:13has said that he and Ganieva had a consensual affair
- 9:16and that he paid her millions of dollars to keep
- 9:19it a secret. Why look again, millions of dollars to
- 9:23keep it a secret. Bro, Why are you getting yourself
- 9:25into this situation in the first place. If you ever
- 9:29find yourself in a situation where you're paying millions of
- 9:32dollars for other people not to find out, you're probably
- 9:35not in the right situation. Thank you for coming to
- 9:38my ted talk. Are these people for real, folks? Honestly?
- 9:41How do they have so much money, so much power,
- 9:43so much prestige and they're so fucking dumb? But that's
- 9:48not all. Last October, Quinn filed a racketeering suit for Black,
- 9:53the former CEO of the private equity fund Apollo Global Management, Incorporated,
- 9:57in federal court in Manhattan. Black suit accused Ganieva and
- 10:02her lawyers from Wigdor of conspiring with unknown defendants to
- 10:06smear the billionaire's name. To smear the billionaire's name, Like
- 10:09he needs any help with that shit, Brah, You and
- 10:12Jeffrey Epstein were BFFs. Nobody needs help to smear your name.
- 10:17All we have to do is run an article about
- 10:19you and your pal Jeffrey Epstein. Think that's sufficient. Black
- 10:26later elaborated on his conspiracy theory in an amended federal
- 10:30court complaint filed in January. The new complaint claimed that
- 10:34Ganieva was in cahoots with Josh Harris, a business rival
- 10:37of Black, who was allegedly scheming to use Ganieva's account
- 10:41of sexual assault to incapacitate Black. Look, it's amazing that
- 10:46Black would even attempt this move. Honestly, you know, he's
- 10:50very brazen and very arrogant. But I think this is
- 10:55gonna fil miserably for him. I think he's barking up
- 10:58the wrong tree with Harris, folks, Honestly, I really do.
- 11:01And it's not very often that someone like Leon Black
- 11:04meets their match. But Harris knows all of Black's tricks.
- 11:07This is kind of like the paddle on fighting the
- 11:10Jed High right. The Sith rule of two. There can
- 11:14only be two sith, one dark lord and then the
- 11:17one apprentice. So is Harris looking to get rid of
- 11:21the Sith Lord Leon Black to ascend to his throne.
- 11:25Very possible, folks, Very very possible. Both Harris and Ganieva
- 11:30said last week in dismissal motions that Black's racketeering conspiracy
- 11:34claim was completely preposterous because for starters, Black had not
- 11:39offered a shred of evidence that the two of them
- 11:41ever even communicated with each other, let alone formed a conspiracy.
- 11:47So Leon Black's out here like he's part of the
- 11:49q anon group talking about all kinds of wild conspiracies.
- 11:53Next thing, you know, you folks know what's coming next. Right,
- 11:56next thing, you know, he's gonna bring the lady Victoria
- 12:00Heavy around so she could tell you about her conspiracy
- 12:02theories too. Wigdor responded to Black's racketeering allegations with e
- 12:08motion for Rule eleven sanctions against Black, Quinn and co
- 12:12counsul from Estrich Golden, arguing that Black's accusation against Wigdoor
- 12:17was an outrageously scandalous attempt to scare the firm away
- 12:21from representing Ganieva. Big time move by rich people. They'll
- 12:25try and get your lawyer not to represent you, right,
- 12:27they don't give up. Do you really think these people
- 12:29care about you? I don't know how much I have
- 12:31to how clearer I need to be. None of these
- 12:34corporate giants care about you. If you work for a
- 12:36large corporation, they do not care about you. Don't feel
- 12:39bad if you have to call in sick. None of
- 12:41that nonsense, because these people do not care and people
- 12:45like Leon Black will use their exquisite power, their extreme
- 12:49amount of prestige, and they will crush people who are
- 12:53smaller than them, and they won't care for one single
- 12:56second you think they're gonna miss any sleep over it chants.
- 13:02Black ended up dropping the conspiracy claim against Wigdor in
- 13:05his amended complaint, though he continued to allege that Wigdor
- 13:09defamed him and in peculiar in an end. In a
- 13:12peculiar turn of events, Quinn Emmanuel withdrew as Black's counsel
- 13:16in the federal case, citing an undisclosed conflict. It's always
- 13:21something right, It's always something behind the scenes. There's always
- 13:24some kind of connection. All of these law firms are intertwined,
- 13:29and that's why when they do these internal reports, we
- 13:31always talk about That's why I always find that shit laughable.
- 13:36Quinn Manuel, which remained in the federal case to defend
- 13:39Wigdor's sanction motion, said that Black's amended complaint mooted the
- 13:43call for sanctions. Wigdor fired back with a brief doubling
- 13:47down on its allegations of misconduct. It claimed that Quinn
- 13:51Emmanuel tried to pressure Wigdor to betray Ganieva by providing
- 13:55incriminating evidence linking her to Harris Black's nemesis at Apollo.
- 14:00So you see how this happens behind the scenes, right,
- 14:02and just take a look at what's going on here,
- 14:06and then times this by about fifty thousand, okay, And
- 14:09that's the kind of pressure that Epstein's lawyers put on
- 14:12the girls in Palm Beach the first time around. And
- 14:15guess what those girls they didn't have the lawyers to
- 14:18protect them that Harris has. They had some shitbag prosecutor
- 14:23named krisher who really didn't care about them, or Marie
- 14:27Villa Fana, who is all of a sudden some sort
- 14:29of hero. But this is the kind of shit you're
- 14:32dealing with with these high power lawyers. Folks. These got
- 14:34these people that look they're coming for blood, They're coming
- 14:38for your throat. And these are the same kind of
- 14:41folks like Marty Singer. It claimed that Quinn Manuel tried
- 14:50to pressure Wigdor ex excuse me pass that quinn partner
- 14:54Michael Karlinsky called the assertion ridiculous. He told me he
- 14:58was simply responding to question from Wigdor's lawyer. Wigdor moved
- 15:02last week to dismiss Black's defamation claim, which it called
- 15:06wasteful and retaliatory see what I mean about hostilities. In
- 15:10the latest round, Quinn has homed in on discovery Wigdor
- 15:14recently produced in Ganieva's state court case. The evidence, as
- 15:19Quinn laid it out in a brief in the state case,
- 15:22is a series of WhatsApp exchanges between Ganijeva and New
- 15:26York Times reporter Matt Goldstein in October and November of
- 15:30twenty twenty. That was months before Ganieva publicly accused Black
- 15:34of sexual abuse in March twenty twenty one and signed
- 15:38a retainer agreement with Wigdor in April twenty twenty one.
- 15:42So what they're trying to assert is that this was
- 15:44all made up and that this lawyer, mister Goldstein here
- 15:49played a part in facilitating this whole entire ordeal. That
- 15:53is exactly what Quinn, the law firm Quinn, is zeroing
- 16:00in on at this point. And what's that message is
- 16:05Goldstein repeatedly told Ganieva he was talking to Wigdor. He
- 16:09did not expressly say that those conversations involved Ganieva, although
- 16:13he did ask Ganieva if she was okay with him
- 16:16talking to me on background. Ghanieva told Goldstein in a
- 16:20follow up message, I will let Wigdor know that if
- 16:23you want to speak with them, you can. The Times
- 16:26did not publish a story about Ganieva's allegations before she
- 16:30tweeted about Black, and you know why, right The New
- 16:32York Times is filled with cowards. Oh, they act like
- 16:36they aren't, but let's be real. The Gray Lady is
- 16:39not what it once was. And I'll never forget the
- 16:42way they dog walked us into the war in Iraq.
- 16:45I will never forget the dishonesty, the lying, and how
- 16:50untruthful they were to the American people into the world.
- 16:54So it doesn't shock me that they didn't run this.
- 16:56Too scared to go after Leon Black, too scared to
- 16:59stand up to Black. The implication, Quinn said, is that
- 17:04Wigdor was already advising Ganieva about going public with their
- 17:08accusations against Black, perhaps in a splashy news article, before
- 17:12she tweeted about her alleged abuse. Quinn argued that the
- 17:16Goldstein evidence proved Wigdor was communicating with reporters on Ganniheva's behalf,
- 17:21bolstering Black's assertion that Wigdor and Ganieva were plotting to
- 17:25gauge the media's appetite for Miss Ganieva's false claims before
- 17:29they were made public in March of twenty twenty one.
- 17:32So basically, in Layman's terms, terms that we can understand
- 17:35here on the East side of Las Vegas is they
- 17:38were just fishing. They were trying to see the interest
- 17:43of the newspapers in a story such as this, and
- 17:47most times you would think that a newspaper would jump
- 17:50on a story like this, but you know how it goes.
- 17:54The New York Times is not a reputable source at
- 17:56this point, sorry, folks, just the way it is. In
- 18:00a parallel filing in the federal case, Quinn's co counsel,
- 18:04Susan Estrich argued that the Goldstein text undermined Wigdor's claim
- 18:08for sanctions. Wigdor has engaged in precisely the activity that
- 18:12is the subject of the complaint in this action, not
- 18:15just the pursuit of sham litigation activity, but promotion of
- 18:19Miss Ganieva's false narratives to the press, The filing said.
- 18:23Goldstein declined to comment on his conversations with Ganieva and Wigdor.
- 18:27That's probably a good idea, I mean, you know, usually
- 18:31you get these journalists who get scared and they start
- 18:33burning their sources and turning everything over. But at least
- 18:36Goldstein clammed up here. Wigdor partner Christensen said, the WhatsApp
- 18:42messages show nothing. Ganieva was consulting with many advisors, including
- 18:47Wigdor and another law firm, about her allegations. There was
- 18:51nothing unusual about Wigdor speaking to Goldstein, a prominent reporter.
- 18:55For all you know, Goldstein was asking Doug why we
- 18:58did not represent Gazelle. Christiansen's said Matt had been calling, texting,
- 19:02and emailing with her for months. She added, all this
- 19:05does is show she wrestled with the decision. She knew
- 19:08how tough it would be to go against Leon Black
- 19:10and his lawyers and his lawyers, but hers are just
- 19:14as tough. Look, there's no doubt she got the right lawyers.
- 19:17If she's gonna battle against Leon Black, she's in the
- 19:19right place. And make no mistake, folks, this is going
- 19:23to be a long, arduous struggle for her. This is
- 19:26not going to be easy. She's not gonna get a
- 19:28settlement dropped in her lap, nothing like that. So we're
- 19:32going to continue to follow this one because it's a
- 19:34big deal. It has a large shadow cast over Epstein's
- 19:39criminal enterprise. And as you all know, I believe Leon
- 19:42Black was a key member in facilitating these financial moves.
- 19:47So he's always been somebody that I have had my
- 19:50eye on, and seeing him in court here and watching
- 19:54him sweat a little bit is certainly an enjoyable experience
- 19:58for me. But with that said, I really hope that
- 20:02we get to see this all play out. I want
- 20:04to see it go to discovery and all of that,
- 20:06because missus Ganieva's claims are very, very serious and they
- 20:10deserve a real look, not some BS nonsense, but a
- 20:14real look, and also a look from the authorities as
- 20:17far as criminal charges. I know that Leon Black was
- 20:20allegedly under investigation or they were looking into these charges
- 20:24as far as a criminal matter, and I really hope
- 20:27that the clown show down at the SDNY pursues this shit.
- 20:30But like usual, we will have to see all right, folks,
- 20:34that's gonna do it for this update. As usual, some
- 20:37more episodes are on their way and I will be
