- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Or is it day one of illegal free agency, but everybody just does it?
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think illegal tampering is just like the dumb it just opened it up, but you know, whatever we're here, people are at least committing to signings.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_02]: So it's an exciting time if you're an NFL fan.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_02]: Up until maybe 20 minutes or not, that exciting day for the Browns.

- 2:54[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like we started on time.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: Did we not at least pretty close to it?
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: We had like a minute passed and we're never not too bad for us.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, we are better than NBA games.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_02]: NBA games will say 7 pm start times like 7.40.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_02]: We're finally getting to tip off.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: We're at least better than that.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: You got we got the Browns earlier today.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Dress the offensive line again.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_02]: We signed Zion young to a three year four.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: John's why don't I keep saying I said young.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: The notes say young.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_04]: And you see, I've been doing it all day.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_04]: Do I've been doing Zion young?
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: Because I'm trying to trap prep and stuff.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's Josh Sabatochme.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: I want to on the record that in our Google notes, he had it as young as Sabatochme.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_04]: I believe I did it in there too.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_04]: Every time I type it out on social media posts or something, I'm double checking, like, did I put Johnson or did I put young?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's weird because normally Johnson's on my brain.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_04]: Or just somewhere in your face.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: Oh man, it's already getting off the rails.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have Justin here to reel us in, give us on track.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: But Zion, Johnson, three years, 49.5 million, 32.4 million guaranteed.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: What do we think about this one?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: I first thought check, oh, they're addressing the line, this is extremely important.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: We need five new starters.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_02]: I know for me, first thoughts was, we got them from where?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: not a great track record over there in L.A. in the the chargers offensive line, what do your thoughts on this one, Josh?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I will say coming from the chargers, it is interesting.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_04]: I saw people posting online and I can't disagree.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: One of the worst offensive lines in the league didn't want this guy back.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_04]: You know, they need help too badly at offensive line just like we do, but you know, I made a video earlier.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_04]: We need all five positions
- 4:52[SPEAKER_04]: like we need all five online new positions and everything and we can't get an all pro or a pro bullet every single one of them, you know, Titus Howard, you know, whatever.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_04]: It's about an average right tackle, I think is what we're getting there and then with this guy, I think we're getting an average guard.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he's, I've seen a lot of people posting well, his PFF grades were terrible with this and then people say, oh, he's terrible at run blocking.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_04]: Another guy says he's great at run blocking.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_04]: think he's just an average offensive guard.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to fill a spot.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_04]: I do think we probably had to overpay a little bit to get him.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say this.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to say here and pretend to know all the different offensive linemen around the league.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like I just, but, and I don't put, I do look at PFF scores, but I don't base everything off of a PFF score because,
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, even though they're not supposed to be subjective, the grading can just be really weird sometimes.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: That being said, his scores are not great.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: And the kind of the one telling thing for me is Aaron Watts in the discord posted a screenshot of a chargers fan page, they couldn't be more thrilled that this guy's not on their team anymore.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's not good, man.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's a nice team's Hudson kind of stuff for us, or Jed Will's like, oh.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: They, it's just like, thank you, they're laughing at us.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: They couldn't be more ecstatic that he's not there anymore.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's pf grade, the reaction to the chargers.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: Just the fact, I mean, it's tough to be like the same realm in terms of how poor offensive line play, the browns had last year.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: The chargers were right up there with the browns in terms of bad offensive line play.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_02]: And they're not bringing this guy back.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just,
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I'm not going to pretend to know his traits, his physical attributes, maybe he's a diamond in the rough.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that much.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: I know very surface-level stuff, but you're calling him an average lineman, at least it at first, that feels generous if we're being honest.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, you're right.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: I agree with the sentiment, though, in terms of, because I said the same thing in the discord, you need five new starters, you're not getting five pro-bullars.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to have to build this, if the Browns could somehow get average, every single position on the line this year, that would be an incredible upgrade over what we had last year.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_02]: So if we can just get average at all five positions, it's going to be an upgrade offensive line.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's their, they're, they're dressing the, the, the, the spot that need to be addressed.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: That being said, on paper, white, teller, and it was better.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: And he wanted to be here, you know, and we just get, it's not like we got this guy cheap.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_02]: No, and again, I'm not wanting to count somebody else's money for him.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: Jim, if Jim has some just wants to burn money, I mean, he's got it, burn it.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: But why do we have to give everybody we sign, like 90% of their money guaranteed?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it kind of tells me that in order to get them here,
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: We have to overpay and we have to guarantee their money, even to get mid-level players in the building.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe I don't pay enough attention to what other people are getting guaranteed, maybe some in the chat or in the comments, but our other teams giving even their mid-level signings like this,
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: 30 million.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's fully guaranteed.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the whole contract's only over 49.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting over half of it.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's fully guaranteed.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: Is that normal?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: But it just, it feels like you said like we have to overpay to get some of these guys in here.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: And if I'm going to overpay at like I would like him to at least be like average or above average.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like this guy might be
- 8:40[SPEAKER_04]: a tick below 16.5 million annual averages what this breaks out to that makes him the 14th highest paid offensive guard in the NFL and I don't think he's a top 14 offensive guard.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_04]: on the field in the NFL.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: I think for me, what I'm kind of gathering, reading and listening to things about Zion Johnson is he's got that reclamation project type thing for it.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: That Andrew Barry just seems to gravitate toward because he was a first round pick in 2022.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_04]: The charges took him 17th overall.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, I think he made the, the Pro football
- 9:20[SPEAKER_04]: started out okay, but it just never developed into what he was supposed to be.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he was touted as like the most pro-ready guard in that class and everything like that.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_04]: So I can understand from a chargers fan standpoint, you know, being disappointed.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_04]: We took this guy 17 overall.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: He's supposed to be a, you know, future asset for years to come and then four years out and it's like, get him off my team because he just never turned in anything.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: Could a change of scenery be what this guy needs to come in here.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe Paul Warhop can get a little
- 9:49[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes that works out.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes it doesn't.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes you just overpaid for average.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_04]: And that's all you can really hope for.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_04]: So I guess we'll just have to see how this one goes.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: We've said it a million times on this show over the years, over the half decade now we've been doing this.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: The best ability is dependability.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's a availability.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: And he is available.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I said that right, but I was reading by saying the best ability is availability.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: And he played over a thousand saps, over a play over a thousand starts all four seasons.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like that's a weird.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to do a lot of things, it was a crazy day.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: Sabotage.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's okay.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think I get to point.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: A thousand snaps every season, all four seasons.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_02]: I played thirty two hundred snaps at left guard and twelve hundred.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_02]: Right guard so you can go back and forth.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: So there's some versatility there.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: And.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_02]: based just on the fact that for the last two to three years now, the Browns have played what?
- 10:55[SPEAKER_02]: 870 different combinations up front because how many just the amount of injuries that have piled up every single year.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: So if we get a guy who can just come in and just it like you, hopefully we can just get average guard play out of him and he's going to play every game on this contract, that's a win for the Browns.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: So it would be interesting to see, can we get that average play out of him?
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: If you ask, obviously, the Browns think so, if you ask Chargers fans, you know, they don't think so.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what happens as we get closer to the season here.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_04]: Another thing to keep in mind with this that I found Tom Talesco was the GM in Los Angeles when the Chargers drafted Zion Johnson in 2022.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_04]: So if you guys remember, Talesco was the guy that was brought in to help with the G or the head coaching search.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_04]: And everything, one of the, one of the other GMs that came in to kind of length sizeer.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, as an advisor consultant or whatever.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_04]: So maybe he had a little input on this guy too.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, he scouted him, liked him, drafted him and everything.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I think there's really good potential here.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's, I think he's like an athletic guy.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_04]: He can move.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_04]: I think he can climb like to the second level and things like that.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like, from what I understand again, I haven't.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's been a couple hours.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a watch tape or anything on this offensive lineman from the chargers, but I think that he was improving in the run game.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_04]: I think where a lot of people were frustrated with him was in pass protection.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: I saw some stuff where he was like, hey, a lot of the hits that Justin Herbert took were kind of due to this guy.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_04]: So I again, we need bodies on the offensive line.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we had to get somebody.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: No, in all pro linemen at every position, they're not just falling out of trees.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_04]: You know, they're not free ages, they really know.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: No, so if I do kind of under, unless, obviously, we're what, we're 8 hours into, to free agency.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_02]: So there's obviously still a lot to go, trades can happen, all that kind of thing.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: But the way that we've traded for linemen, we've added the linemen,
- 13:02[SPEAKER_02]: feel like we're going to go receiver in the draft a little bit.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_04]: I'm kind of starting to get that vibe, man, because we talked about this on the show for like the last two months.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_04]: You cannot go into a bidding war in free agency with these wide receivers, because you are going to grossly overpay for a wide receiver, too, at best.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, did you see what Alec Pierce got from the cults just to go back there?
- 13:24[SPEAKER_04]: It was insane.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember the number off time ahead.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_04]: I have to go look at it.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was like 27 million a year.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_04]: or something like we're not paying it out like pierce twenty seven million dollars and and he's I don't know maybe I'm crazy but like he's like a really nice piece yeah but he's not Jamar Chase he's not a wide receiver one he I don't know it's as crazy and then I mean Rashid she got a bag a little bit ago like seventeen million and it'll be curious to see what the seahawks do with him because
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: you add a receiver midseason.
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's, you know, kind of tough to expect them to just dive into your offense and be like a go-to receiver right away.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: So, but he was almost like a jet sweep gadget got return guy for them.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously like they have maybe they can acclimate him to the offense better, but like you said, you're not.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: you're most likely going to lose in the long run.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: If you go into free agency, trying to out bid for one of these guys.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_02]: And a lot of times, if the team is willing to let them go, there's a chance of getting to a little older.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: So you're overpaying for a guy who's now a little bit older, more injury prone.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's just, it's tough.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that and then, or you got the case like a one-dale Robinson, who is a very good slot receiver,
- 14:43[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, that's always ever going to be.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: And he, I forget what his contract was now, too.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'd have to pull it up.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_04]: It was big.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, Jesus, this is why you don't, you cannot set your sights on free agent, why do receivers, cause I always tell you guys, the good ones, the really, really good ones, the high end receivers, never hit free agency.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_04]: They are traded or they are extended.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: That is it.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_04]: See, only way you get those guys, which, by the way, if I had to make a prediction right now,
- 15:08[SPEAKER_04]: I could see Andrew Barry signing another tackle or making a trade for a tackle and making a trade for a wide receiver kind of a maybe a splash trade will see, but I could see him setting it up where he can go BPA, best player available in the draft, where it's like we're to go to receiver.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have to take one at six.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_04]: We are to go to our tackles.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have to take one at six.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_04]: And then.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_04]: Then it does become that.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_04]: Well, is it gale of downs and sunny styles?
- 15:35[SPEAKER_04]: Is it, you know, Ruben Bain, who's fallen to six that he wants?
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: So this week is going to get real interesting.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: I do think I think he's cooking something up, or at least trying.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: He always seems to have like the one move.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like it's like,
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: like that one trade where we get really excited about it so I could see it a high-end starting lineman or like an actual number one rod receiver could be in play but the one that has me intrigued is like this Marvin Harrison Brian Thomas Jr. kind of thing how would take Marvin Harrison in a heartbeat especially especially if it's for like
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like I don't what what was that draft the the scenario you put out 30 or we've been a second-round pick 39 Yes, take my money take it You know mean like yeah You mean tell me we can get a guy who seen as a generational prospect who started slow But like his numbers comparable everybody loves once Brian Thomas their numbers are pretty comparable and
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: Can you have Trevor Lawrence in, you know, um, he had freaking Kyla Murray and Jacobi were set thuring to him.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_04]: If you follow anything with Arizona Cardinals and like their fan base, that coaching staff did not utilize Marvin Harrison correctly.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_04]: That could all at all.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Half time it's like he wasn't even part of the game plan.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_04]: No, he was basically just running nines.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_04]: Like just run, go deep, every play.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, that's, he can do that.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_04]: You want this guy moving all over the field.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, that's a guy that I could see taking like in the right situation, a huge leap.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: If for 39,
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: So if A.B.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: could pull that off, now I'm kind of in the world where like if we give up 39, I'm still taking Cardinal Tate.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Now it's sudden you're rolling out Cardinal Tate, Marvin Harrison, Fanon, I gotta say his name, Jerry Judy, and then take it, you know, take another alignment right there, what 24, I think is the second pick there in the first round.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I do think that he could have, he could be working something for a receiver or an offensive alignment.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: So, the other move we made, which I don't have a ton of information on this, maybe you guys have been pulled up, but we signed Quincy Williams, what, if a linebacker out of from the jets, I think I saw what?
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Probola?
- 18:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this Quincy Williams, man.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_04]: So for anybody who's
- 18:09[SPEAKER_04]: been watching the free agency like preview episodes that Kenny Mac and I have put together.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_04]: I did Quincy Williams is one of my guys and Kenny was sitting there chuckle in the whole time because he's like yeah Quincy Williams on my list too.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_04]: I was going to talk about him because this guy, uh, 511, 225 pounds, I think he's 29, closing in on 30 but played 13 games in 225, 83 tackles, 8 TFLs, 3 and a half sacks.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_04]: And the four seasons before that, all four seasons, he was over 100 tackles and he had 130 nine tackles in 2023.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_04]: I've been I've did a whole bunch of reading on him.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_04]: One of the fastest linebackers in the NFL.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_04]: He's very good in coverage.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_04]: Seven past break ups last season.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_04]: He's got that sideline to sideline range that you know, J.O.K.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_04]: was so good at that.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_04]: And Devon Bush gave some of that back to us.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_04]: where he could draw back in coverage and make things happen.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_04]: But this guy is a playmaking linebacker.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_04]: It gets people down behind the line of screen image.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_04]: He attacks the line.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_04]: He's just, I think he's going to be a great fit in this defense.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_04]: I'm very excited for this signing.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like, I feel like we were all a bit bummed earlier today when in Devon Bush signed with the bears.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because we all loved what he did for the Browns last two years, especially this past season.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_02]: He played great.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: But then we go out and get a guy who's almost like a J.O.K.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: clone and to pair him up with Carson Schrochinger now in that linebacker course, it's in cheaper than what Devin Bush got paid.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I just think I think that's a great move.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a great signing.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I know like I was kind of joking in the discord because the Browns were doing nothing earlier in the day and I was like four and 13 season loading and all this stuff.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of times, and I was just kind of being facetious a little bit, you got to be patient because a lot of times these teams who come out to get swinging like crazy at first, they end up overpaying like crazy on some of this stuff, and a lot of times it does not pan out.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: The patients kind of rewards these teams are willing to like really do their due diligence look for a good value fit that kind of thing This feels like a really good value fit for the Browns Um, it is in terms of a JOK replacement to a defense that doesn't really have a lot of holes You know, we maybe we need another interior defensive linemen now another corner or safety back there, but like the core of this defense is very good Um, and this is this just makes it even better Oh, it does absolutely have
- 20:36[SPEAKER_04]: if we couldn't get Dev and Bush back, which that was my top guy.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_04]: I just love how he played for the Browns and this defense a last couple of seasons.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_04]: Quincy Williams was like, that's the guy, if we're gonna go get a linebacker, get Quincy Williams.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'm very excited that they were able to pull this off because I just, I like you said, with Swesinger as as the inside linebacker that middle linebacker spot, this guy on the knee and playing that outside linebacker, sideline to sideline roll, he's gonna be.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_04]: He can, and the thing is,
- 21:06[SPEAKER_04]: I love the TFL, you know, getting guys behind the line.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_04]: Guys, for J.O.K.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_04]: did so well.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_04]: It was get behind that line so fast and take guys down and we're gonna get some of that back here with Quincy Williams.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: and I would like the amount of tackles he's had each season throughout his career.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like it's almost, it's almost being a good tackler.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's almost a lost art and football in his days.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you just see so many people just try to push them out of bounds or just shoulder them to the ground.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: And it,
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: the way to stop being a sure tackling football team keeps people from getting first down.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that sounds like very elementary, but how many times you see a guy catch the ball short of the sticks, guy comes in, misses a tackle and the guy gets two yards and it's a first down, they convert, they go down the score on that drive.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: And if that guy just breaks down and makes the tackle, it's third and three, they're putting the ball away.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: Like a
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: a mistack when we cost you a football game.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like it's kind of the the Browns have gotten much better at tackling like when we brought in Jim Schwartz.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: Before Jim Schwartz, I feel like my entire life we've been in awful tackling football team.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_02]: So to add a guy who just doesn't miss tackles, gets guys to the ground, gets TFLs.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: I just think that's a great addition for the Browns.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_04]: Absolutely, man.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: I totally agree, but interesting.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_04]: I guess that these were the only two signings.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we have what 31, 32, expiring contracts on this team and day one of free agency.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_04]: Just two guys.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_04]: But.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_04]: Again, what kind of bidding wars do you want to get into with your cap space and everything?
- 22:40[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we do have cap space.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_04]: We're okay there.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_04]: But we still have to be smart.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_04]: We just can't sign everybody for everything.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I know we talked about offensive line.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: We obviously did not get Tyler Lindervom went to the Raiders on the $3 year, $81 million dear for $27 million.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_04]: He's the highest paid interior offensive line.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_04]: Not just center, but
- 23:00[SPEAKER_04]: Guards and Senaries, the highest paid ever in NFL history.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_04]: So I, the Browns were going to weren't going to outbid the Raiders on that one.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: Raiders are spending like crazy for their new head coach.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: They go and they add him and that they signed a Clay Walker and who was the other good linebacker.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, I just saw before we jumped on here, but they're spending like crazy.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_04]: They are, I mean, they're, they're low enough.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_04]: And I guess when you know who your quarterback's gonna be and you believe it's your franchise guy,
- 23:33[SPEAKER_04]: kind of gives you that motivation to start spending too.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: You're, you're, I mean, as of now, they plan on having a rookie quarterback contract starting for them for the next, you know, four, four years.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, do we want to take a quick break, maybe we can, on our break, we can do the professional thing.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we pull up a list of remaining for agents or something, we can get into that a little bit.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: Also, gotta talk about some of the moves around the league and around the AFC North.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_04]: Sounds good.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_04]: We'll be right back, guys.

- 25:50[SPEAKER_02]: We want to go a little bit around the A.C. Norr talk about some of the stuff that's happened here in our own conference.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: We have a voice mail to kind of get us going with that.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: So here we go.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_04]: That's a place from, you know, actually, Stacey left a, she'd typed a message up.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_04]: This one, the voice mail's embarrassing.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_03]: My bad, this is a price of my calling in from the sunny state of California and the city of Sanana.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_03]: And the first time I'm ever sending a voice mail in, you know, listening to the show for about a couple months now, really liking the content.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: You guys have put it out there.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's good stuff.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: But I wanted to talk about the news that just broke reacting to it about five minutes ago.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_03]: Max Krauseby being traded to the Baltimore Ravens for a couple of first-round picks.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_03]: This has sort of changed my opinion on the draft pre-advocacy process.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: Originally on a draft at at pick six, I was looking for a wide receiver like Carnal Tate, or maybe tracking down and getting
- 26:46[SPEAKER_03]: But now I'm I'm I'm almost all the way in on Monroe Freeling or Maui Noah Fano, whatever it is it's six or trade back to 10 or 11 and get low moon or if Maui Noah Fano or so there whatever it may be I'm I'm looking to Lean heavier on the draft for offensive one, but now that I wasn't originally and maybe targeting more wide receivers and free agency
- 27:08[SPEAKER_03]: like a like a one-dale Robinson or maybe even a BTJ for a trade bar of something like that.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I just wanted to hear you guys a thoughts on how you feel about the draft of 3D and see you after this news.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Bye.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_02]: Well, one way appreciate your voice.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, we appreciate you checking out the show.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'll tell you my first reaction was when I saw that they traded for Max Kraus videos.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_02]: That was my first reaction because I was like, yeah, I'd be kidding me.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's like the freeschkin ripples they did.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_02]: But he, he, quickly, if I'm wrong, he's like a left side edge pressure, like a TJ walk, correct?
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: I believe so.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: So we did just trade for a new starting right tackle, presumably.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: A good tackle.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_04]: That's why I'm talking right tackle.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't pass blocking right tackle.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully that helps.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think when it comes to the draft and deciding between receiver or tackle, I just think it all depends for me where you value that next tier of either tackle or wide receiver, because if the drop off in that second tier, it's whatever
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: You think is the bigger drop-off.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: This is the one I think you're going to take early.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_02]: So if you think that second tier of wide receivers is a huge drop-off from like those top four, then you're going to take your receiver early because you think you can still get a pretty good tackle there at 24.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_02]: Or vice versa.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's kind of the way you have to look at it.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_02]: But I do think it's advantageous for us that we did just sign for new
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: good right past blocking rate tackle that does help.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think if there's anybody that should be really concerned about Max Krauseby, it's Joe Burrow.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: For he, Joe Burrow is now in a division with Miles Garrett Max Krauseby and TJ Wat.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: And his team just let Trey Hendricks and walk for nothing.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_02]: nothing.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's, it'll never happen, but I've been trying to speak into existence for a year, but it's Trey Hendricks into the Browards.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: Wouldn't be something, man.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_02]: Could you imagine, could you imagine miles with Mason in our interior?
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I expect Mason Graham to take like a big leap in his second year, four-year starting, swishing her, it lined back or just add Quincy Williams.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_02]: Could you imagine if we could pair Trey Hendricks in with that?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_02]: That could be, and he just gets a, you know, he wants to, he would rush hop at the bit to play the Bengals twice a year, because he thinks they totally undervalued him, they cheap-skated out on him, they paid all the offensive guys, didn't want to give him any money.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: I just think, like, I don't know, I would be on the phone.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be like, hey, man, maybe we can't give you like the insane deal you're looking for, but we can give you a pretty good one, and we can give you the chance to play the Bengals twice a year.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_02]: And we already dominate them for the most part.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: So you can come be a part of that.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: I just, that to me, like, that's what makes, that's what gives me a flutter.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and by the way, you get to play opposite miles, Garrett, which means,
- 30:27[SPEAKER_04]: They ain't double-team in you.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_04]: They ain't double-team.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to double-team you.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: Him?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: What are they going to do?
- 30:31[SPEAKER_04]: And then you got to.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_04]: Moldy Collins and Mason Graham in the middle.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: Nice.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_02]: That would be sweet.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_02]: You come play next to the defense of player the year and the defense of rookie the year and a top and a top five pick it defensive tackle.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_04]: So that would be something.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_04]: What about that would be good?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_04]: Good.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_04]: No, go ahead.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_04]: I said, what did you think about the sealers trade today?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: Pippman.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's a nice move for them.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: That is a, I don't know what to make of the Steelers because it's, it's going to be so weird for them to not have Tomlin.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: And he's, it's kind of like you just could bank on the fact they were, even if they weren't real contenders, you knew they were always going to be competitive and a tough out no matter of what whenever they had Tomlin.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: Um,
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think McCarthy is a good enough football coach to keep them as a competitive football team, and I think they'll be better offensively.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think there's any question they'll be better offensively.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like, Mike McCarthy knows offense better than Mike Tomman.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's just, you know what I mean?
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: Mike Tomman might be a better head football coach, but Mike McCarthy knows offense.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: offense was never really a problem in Dallas when he was there.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what to make in the Steelers, but him and DK, that's a nice, that's a nice parrot.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_04]: They've got, you know, Jalen Moore and they're running back and they just signed Rico doubt, I saw, as well.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_04]: What happened to Caleb Johnson?
- 31:59[SPEAKER_04]: That's his name, right?
- 32:00[SPEAKER_04]: Kid from Iowa.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he was supposed to.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I wanted him last year, and when he went to the Steelers, I just, oh, it's just great.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's like a perfect fit, and then just just nothing.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like that is, that's that's that's crazy to me.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_02]: It happens.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: That happens to guys.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: I was talking to a guy at the Y the other night, he's a big Ravens fan, and I just just like, I don't know what to make of the division this year, you know, three new coaches going to be a lot of roster turnover on, especially the Browns, the only coach coming back is the coach, this arguably was the worst coach in the division, you know, you could make the argument, the worst coach in the division is the only one who kept his job last year.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: Definitely could make that argument so it's just so it's just I don't know what to make it I feel like it's it could go It could go anywhere so like if Lamar gets back to playing like Lamar and Derek Henry has You know another good season left in him the Ravens are gonna be right there with adding crossbeat the Steelers can figure out like what the forward pass is The you know they're gonna be good so it's just I don't know what to make as it seems right now like
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: We're not going to be good, but, you know, it's so hard to tell.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_02]: We have a brand new head coach.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: All of our coordinators are brand new.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's just talent-wise.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we're up to snuff yet with some of these other teams in the division.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_02]: But it could get this division can go anywhere.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_04]: One, you look at like Browns and Steelers, who are the quarterbacks.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: We don't know.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we think that Shidorah Sanders has a good opportunity to be the starter,
- 33:44[SPEAKER_04]: We don't know for sure.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they could do something or they could somehow sign Kyler Murray.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think there's a chance that happens, but something like that could make a trade for a guy who knows what they decide to do there.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_04]: I know that I may be I'm wrong about this.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_04]: We'll see how the season plays out.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_04]: I was excited to see the Malique Willis signed with the Dolphins or
- 34:04[SPEAKER_04]: anybody else, so we had to quit listening to people talk about how he was the perfect fit for the Browns and everything.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_04]: He got paid three years, 67.5 million dollar deal, 22 and a half million dollars per year.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: The dude has started six games in his end of the world.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_04]: Only three of those games were where he was an actual like starter.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_04]: The other three starts were in Green Bay where he was the back up.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if he's good though, that's a bargain.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's what, yes, it's a bargain if he's good, but I'm just like, what do you want of the Browns to get him?
- 34:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, like this is gonna, I guess it's kind of talking about free agents.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_02]: If we're gonna go a free agent quarterback to bring in and compete with Shador and God forbid to shine.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_02]: This is a guy I have never been high on at all.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: So like if you've watched the show, you're like, you're like, I can't believe he's saying this, but like, I would maybe kick the tires on a Kyler Murray just if we had to pay him anything more than like what the vet minimum's gonna be, I would say definitely not.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: But...
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, for a million dollars, do you bring a guy in with, like, he's got a great arm.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: He's athletic.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: Do you kick the tires on that and bring him in?
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: We know that Todd Munkin likes a guy who can improvise and move and make plays with his legs.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: So again, all right.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: I like Shador more than Kyler and basically every department except for where Kyler is much as low as I am on him, he's played good football in this league before.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: He's played at a higher level in this league than Shador has ever played in this league.
- 35:44[UNKNOWN]: So
- 35:44[SPEAKER_02]: for essentially free, do I keep the tires on that?
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: And if it was going to be anything, if it was going to be five million here, no, I don't really want it.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's the fact that it's going to be basically free for him to come play on your football team this year.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_02]: What do you have to lose?
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: Even if you sign him and you get him to camp and you're like, this guy is atrocious.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's gonna cost you like nothing somebody else.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you not keep the tire somebody else is gonna be paying all of his money?
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: So To me that's a that's a better route to go then to hand a guy like Malik you know 22 million dollars a year and maybe he's gonna be good Maybe he's not gonna be good, but you're gonna be on the hook for 22 million dollars a year as opposed to this to one year and
- 36:29[SPEAKER_02]: If you you pay him a million dollars this year and he's great in Todd Munkin system, he's still young.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now you can give him a good call.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: Now you can next year.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: The Sean's going to be gone.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully, we're going to split up the money over the two years.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: Give Kyler the contract next year then.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, I don't know.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's that's one and there's been a lot of smoke with the Browns on Kyler Murray.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if any of it's true or not or if it's just
- 36:51[SPEAKER_02]: Mary K. Stirring the pot.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but that's one that if you would have asked me a year ago, I would have been a hundred percent out on until you find out somebody else is going to be paying them.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_04]: Mary K with this free agency, the last like week or so has been rough because it's like the other day she was writing articles and posted about how the Browns are going to go after Mike Evans and there's a very real chance like he could be interested in coming here.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like,
- 37:19[SPEAKER_04]: Mike Gavin's ain't coming to Cleveland.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_04]: He's not ending his career here.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_04]: What are you smoking?
- 37:24[SPEAKER_04]: I don't care if he had Todd Munkin as his O.C.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_04]: and Ytersever coach, you know, whatever 10 years ago.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_04]: No, like he was never coming here.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_04]: So she, I don't know.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_04]: But the smoke stuff.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes I know they need their clicks.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_04]: I know they got a, you know, article quoted a fill.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, this is coming a soda.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: I, that's the thing too, like if he has, why would you come play here when you don't even know who you're going to throw to or you can go throw to Jordan Addison, Justin Jefferson TJ Hawkinson, you know, like, yes, you're going to, you're going to go and get to play inside.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I know we're going to be who's a proven head coach.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_04]: You know Todd Monk has never had coach before.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_04]: So I mean, that's every Minnesota is just a much better landing spot for a quarterback like that.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: I 100% agree.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: Um, it says Kyler isn't a team that that that's basically been one I've just never thought he was like,
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Amazing.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's played good football like he's definitely played it at a high level for stretches just no consistency for like you know always get that he's little always an injury pops up always something you know a new Call of Duty is gonna be coming out at some point.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean like so and like that's real.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: I love I think Shidorah's like Want to be great how much he puts in like I think if Kyler had even half of that how good he could be who knows So, but there's no denying that
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: In their times in the NFL, Tyler's played at a higher level in the store.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, there's reasons why I should do our struggle.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's a rookie, zero supporting cast.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we all know the reasons, but I'm just stating the fact that we've watched Tyler Murray play pretty good football before.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: He could be a good fit with Todd Munkin.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: But like, it scares me how much I think the Browns reputation, especially offensively, is terrible.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: you're not getting anybody to come here.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, there's a stink on the franchise.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_02]: Isn't like, like, my Kevin's wasn't coming here.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of the Murray's most likely not coming here.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody is going to come here.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_02]: Even Todd Munkins, unproven, all our coordinators are unproven.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: We as Cleveland fans are cautiously optimistic and kind of excited by some of the things we're hearing.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 39:42[SPEAKER_02]: it's so it's all on proof at all what ifs right now.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_04]: Well, like I saw a lot of people going after the the Michael Pittman trade to the dealers for it was like a late round, I don't know what it was, you know, it's come out, but they said late round picks swap was what that deal was to get Michael Pittman.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_04]: But they had to extend him because on the last year of his deal.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, even if Andrew Barry calls, the call says, hey, we'll do that deal with you or whatever to get Michael Pittman over here.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_04]: Michael, I mean, if you don't have like a commitment from the player, their agent that hey, once they get there, they're going to sign the extension with you, you're not going to trade form.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_04]: It doesn't make any sense.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, I think we're really in a bad spot right now with our reputation with the way the offense is performed last couple years with the personnel on the offense, the lack of personnel, I should say, yeah, it's going to be really difficult to get people to willingly come here and not have to overpay them to do so like we do a Zion Johnson.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: And Todd, we touched on the Todd monkey thing a little bit.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: We all like him so far, but doesn't he have a reputation is not he's not necessarily a player's coach, you know, that's what I'm Quint Shawn said he was Quint Shawn liked him.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's not gonna talk crap about his new head coach, you know what I mean?
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: But like, like, if, you know, there's a, like, it's kind of like it was him or hardball or Lamar in Baltimore and they kept Lamar and like these guys go, like so there's clearly friction there, it's just,
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: So we don't know what his reputation is with players around the league.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: We're all excited about because it's a change.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's new.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's the shiny thing.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: The new coach, everybody's tired of Kevin.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: But we don't know what players think of him.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: Because we all know what our media reaction was when we hired him.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people were like, what?
- 41:28[SPEAKER_02]: So like, we don't know what players are thinking about.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: What is the Brown's offense going to be?
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: They don't who's the quarterback going to be?
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: No, we're just like, no why quarterback wants to come here.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: you know, and play behind this offensive line, no wide receiver wants to come to play with who they don't know who the cornerback's going to be.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_04]: This episode is sponsored by Butcher Box.

- 43:13[SPEAKER_04]: You're absolutely right.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_04]: And then I guess we can look at some free agents that maybe we're still hoping the Browns will go after, but I just want to get your take on the two-est situation.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_04]: We knew the dolphins were gonna move on from Tua, but it was just interesting the news came out.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_04]: Like, first thing this morning that they've, you know, they cut them.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_04]: They released him.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_04]: Couple hours later, I mean, this early afternoon, he is in Atlanta, Falcon.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_04]: He will be Kevin's defense case, new quarterback.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_04]: I just thought that was interesting.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's a terrible move by the falcons to go get another left handed.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think pennicks, pennicks is their starter if he's healthy.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would think.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: You think so.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: I wonder about that.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: And now like you don't have to change everything.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: You got another left handed quarterback and I know like a lot of people will bag on to it, but when he's healthy, I mean, he just led the league and passing two years ago and he'll probably be the best quarterback Kevin's had in the last
- 44:12[SPEAKER_02]: two years.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: And the closest thing, whether he's healthy, the closest thing to a healthy baker he's going to have.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_02]: You got good off inside a baker for two years.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think it's another one of those things.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: The dolphins are going to be paying for him.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you not bring a guy who led the league in passing two years ago if you're literally not even paying him.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's a one year deal.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_02]: And if he plays good, cool, and if not, he's gone.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: So they don't have a first round pick this year.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so there's a little bit of question mark at Pennix's health.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's a terrible move by them to add him.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: There's kind of like I wouldn't think it's terrible move.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: We had to kind of somebody else to pay him for.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_04]: And I know another left handed quarterback that would go real well in that QB room down
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: So you have all three, it'll be interesting, if they make a move, I don't know, I feel like there's just a lot of brown stock, but it would be very funny, it would be very funny if that happened.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_04]: The thing is, Dylan Gabriel was,
- 45:19[SPEAKER_04]: Clearly it was Kevin's pick.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_04]: It was Kevin's guy.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_04]: We got no use for him.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_04]: Everything you read or hear about now is how it's, it's a battle between Deshawn and Shador, and that's the competition all this stuff.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, Dylan Gabriel still on this roster.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_04]: He was taking in the third round last year.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_04]: So you know that they're, Andrew Barry in the Browns, like they have moved on.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't, I call me crazy.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: Wouldn't be shocked to be stuck.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, neither.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it wouldn't even be shocked.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: This says the Browns will be better in the Falcons this year.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not here to get into that debate, but I take that bet.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: I take that bet.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: Weird how quick to went to the Falcons.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's kind of a good natural fit.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's going to fit in that kind of offense.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's where he's played good football.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: Run game.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's got weapons.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see what happens.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: I do bubblegum shrimp.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: The Falcons are going to be better in the browser ship, but that's just less a miracle happens, that's already done, that's already been decided.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because we've got so many holes, like who are some of these reagents left that?
- 46:30[SPEAKER_04]: You know, do you have anybody with your eye on for the Browns?
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: So I touched on Kyler and Tray Hendrickson.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Romeo dobs would be a nice addition for the, to the Browns.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously he's not a number one, but I think these, you got to overpay for him, dude.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he's not signed yet.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: I was married out of, I read out of overpay time.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like what's an overpay for dobs?
- 46:55[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to find him here on the list.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_04]: Trying to remember what they had him, oh, here it is, projected it.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they got him projected.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_04]: This is spoke track, 12 million a year, but they're always under.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_04]: Everything that has happened so far has been way over.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_04]: Four year, $48 million deal.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_04]: My thing with him is he's got such a drop problem.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_04]: To bring him in with Jerry Judy, I feel like we're just inviting a whole lot of frustration.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Debo Samuels out there.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting old.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: What about we bring our guy great new some back.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: How funny with that be by the way?
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: How funny with that be?
- 47:41[SPEAKER_04]: That would crack me up pretty good.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: We shot white.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_02]: The third down.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's not it.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: That would be kind of a nice.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's a great blocking and receiving back.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I felt like in Tampa, they're always looking to replace him.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_02]: And then all their other running backs would always get hurt and Rashad White would come in and play well for them.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so that's like, uh,
- 48:05[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously we have Quinn Chine and Dylan Samson, but Rashad White's a nice third down blocking receiving back.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's not terrible.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: Dallas got her to free agent, but I just don't know if he's the kind of tenant.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_02]: We need a, we need a, we need a K-doughten.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: That kind of thing.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's who I want to.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_02]: So, but yes, in terms of, I don't think there's any really like,
- 48:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's no high level free agents left that like really peak my interest.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_04]: Now the only one that I guess would be like high level if you were just talking to, you know, and ESPN top ranked free agents list writer would be Rashid Walker that left Tackle out of the Packers who
- 48:48[SPEAKER_04]: I was never big on the Browns really forken over the amount of money they would have to pay for him.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if you had to overpay Zion Johnson like that to get him to come here, you'd really probably have to overpay Rashid Walker.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_04]: My guess is he's got a lot of suitors right now and there's a bidding war going on for him.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_04]: But if they did,
- 49:05[SPEAKER_04]: Well, then there's your tackles, your tackles are in place and paid and that kind of takes it off the board in the first round.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_04]: There's also a couple of guys just from that we highlighted me and Kenny Josh Jones is the offensive tackle from the Seahawks, a little bit older, but he could be like a swing tackle, like a backup for you, or if you need to slot him in to start, he could probably hold it down.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_04]: I saw Jalen Naylor was a wide receiver I highlighted, but he just got signed.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_04]: earlier today.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_04]: What about iron?
- 49:32[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, go ahead.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_04]: Let's see.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_04]: What about Elijah Vera Tucker?
- 49:36[SPEAKER_04]: I've been reading some stuff about him and like he's been injured a lot.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_04]: I think the last couple years, three years in a row or something.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: Torn tries tips like right before the start of the season last year, but he's like a borderline, probable guard.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_04]: So I mean, depends on the contract, really.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that's a man.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's only 27.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't get him.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: but I try Hendrickson and I wishless.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's never happening, but that's my wishless.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_02]: Do we want to, we're getting close to the end here?
- 50:12[SPEAKER_02]: Do we want to read Stacey's message about McCoy?
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have it up.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: So Stacey, this is for you, you shy folks, which Stacey is usually not shy, but she wrote it into the show.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_02]: So you can do this.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's the dogspodcast.com.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: You can find the link there to message us.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_02]: She says, just wondering after seeing McCyleman's interviews at the combine and the way he responded to questions, does it change your mind on him at all?
- 50:37[SPEAKER_02]: It did a little bit for me.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_02]: He gave me the attitude of a Steelers receiver, which is always something I hated about the receivers and the Steelers like picking at the time, for example, sort of an entitled and cocky.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: What about us?
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I actually didn't see any of it.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_04]: I just heard about it.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't, and again, I didn't sit down and watch like all of his interviews or anything like that.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_04]: I don't necessarily think it's what he said.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's more the way he did.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_04]: Everyone calls him like the slithery snake.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_04]: Like he was doing this like slithery thing with his head and like his eyes.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_04]: And he's like, yeah, I'm competitive and I'm the best when I get, you know, and all this stuff and it's like, okay, real whatever.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, maybe somebody coached him to be a little edgy.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it's just how he talks.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_04]: Hell, I don't freaking know, but who cares?
- 51:24[SPEAKER_04]: Mackay Lemon is a freaking dog.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_04]: He's a beast.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's going to be a very, very good professional wider seaver.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if he actually ascends to like elite level status, like a JSN did after a couple seasons, but I think that's definitely in the range of outcome for him.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_04]: But I think he's got such a safe floor in the NFL that he's going to be a a strong contributing piece for an offense for many years to come.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say this too, at least as far as I know, no issues at USC in terms of like the heavier locker room.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's no negative reports about that.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_02]: So like George Pickins, he was a head case.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like we knew he was a head case.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_02]: There's reports, we saw it.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_02]: Like a guy who's maybe just not great in a job interview or great at the podium.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: like I just I trust more like the entire body of work in history than I do maybe like a flute thing at a podium you know one time or maybe a guy's not comfortable and you know whatever so I don't think it would really
- 52:31[SPEAKER_02]: like interviews are important but like his entire college career has been an interview and in teams are going to if they like him he's going to go visit them and they're going to get a chance to spend like quality one-on-one time with them.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_02]: These interviews are the comment and like 10 or 15 minutes or something like that I'm pretty sure like they're pretty rabbit fire at least as far as I know.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: you know, so I'm not going to hold that against him.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm way more I would be way more interested in seeing like what a team what what are teams saying about him after there their top 30 visits where they're spending you know an entire afternoon with this guy and that kind of stuff.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: So as of now like he's still and he's still top for me in terms of like he's right up there with Taiton, Lemon and Boston.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, for sure.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_04]: And then I saw, there's people that, I don't know if they just didn't catch everything that was going on at the combine.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_04]: They're kind of dog-in-on, Casey, concepts he owned for the way he was talking in his interviews and the dude has a speech impediment.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's had a stutter problem like his entire life or something like that.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_04]: So he struggles speaking to people.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_04]: So
- 53:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think people need to chill out a little bit on, hate in him for the way he answers some of his questions.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's a very good receiver as well.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody that could be in consideration of 24 for the Browns or maybe early second round.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_04]: There were some in the chat here I wanted to, as see people talking about Nick Chub and that would be interesting.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, they said, are there any centers?
- 53:57[SPEAKER_04]: Any free agent centers were signing.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I was going to talk about.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I'm seeing people posted on social media and I can't strongly disagree with anybody thinks that Luke Whippler might just kind of be penciled in right now as the week one starter at center.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_04]: I think maybe, because as far as free agents go, I don't know, man, there's, I mean, even postsick might be the best one out there.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_04]: So it might be Luke Whippler and then we'll probably draft somebody.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_04]: I would imagine.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that Luke Wythler and Ethan Pocic and Tyler Lindembaum.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's the only centers I know.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_02]: So, this is one of the priorities of life and come on now.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_02]: Is one of the palty twin still playing?
- 54:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_02]: So, I'm not going to, I'm not going to just sit up here and fake and be like, Oh, I know this guy.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't freaking know.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: I know like I'm probably don't want to roll into the season with Luke Whiplers the only the only viable option.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like I did at least like to find some way to bring in some competition form, you know, whether it's a late-round draft pick of, you know, fourth to throw on draft pick, whether it's trading for a second string guy right now.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe there's a second string guy on a team somewhere who's just stuck behind somebody who's a tad bit better or something like that.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_02]: I'm at least bringing in some competition form.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm not
- 55:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, no, I agree, and then who said that in the chat?
- 55:22[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Kenny Mack.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, thanks, man.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_04]: He says a green bay just cut their center.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_04]: What was his name?
- 55:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'm trying to find it real quick.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_04]: Shoot.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_04]: Now either way, somebody that Browns could probably make a phone call on and see if there's any interest there.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_04]: But again, a guy like that who gets cut on the first day for agency and then you got other teams that are like, hey, we could use a center.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_04]: Where's he going to pick?
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, all right, do we have anything else before we're done?
- 55:57[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's Elkton Jenkins, can he say that?
- 56:00[SPEAKER_04]: I hope I'm saying that.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_04]: Elkton.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I don't know anything about him.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know either.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_04]: I just, I know that I, I was reading that he'll probably have a strong market now for his services.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_04]: So.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe we'll be in there.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_04]: I know we, we were in on Tyler Lindervom.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_04]: I just, the, the price, the bidding got beyond the point we were willing to go.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_04]: So we had to back out.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_02]: I also think you're spending really depends on your expectations for this season and what kind of assurances as a GM you have that you'll be here for for the following season.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like point man, just because like if you're playing right now is to just be bad again, maybe not as bad, but bad, which if we're just a little bit better,
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: are we still bad because we end up winning five games.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: So if we only, you know, if we went three more games, two more games, like we're at least competitive, I don't know.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: But if the plane is more 20, 27, 20, 28, then you're just going to kind of roll with what you got this year, especially if you have assurances for a ownership that you're going to be here, you know, once like the Shawn's gone and you know, we're getting further, you know, closer to the end of that.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_02]: But you're not going to go crazy this year.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to wait a next year of the draft class.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: The draft class could be very good next year in terms of quarterbacks in.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Jeremiah Smith is going to be sitting out there, possibly Julian Sane.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_02]: I archmaning in terms of like, at the beginning of last season, we are all laughing that off.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: But he got a lot better.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_02]: And if he continues to his send, like, he's going to be right back in the conversation of a number one overall pick again, if he continues to get better, like he did last year in healthier.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_02]: that the draft and all that in free agency everything could be better next.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_02]: So if you have assurances like, you know, just make sure we're stuck in competitive, give these guys some pieces, but it's really a two more year rebuild.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't think you're going to spend a ton of money on on that.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_02]: What's the point like why would we give Tyler Lindemob, $27 million a year?
- 58:02[SPEAKER_02]: Right now we don't think that changes us.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're only going to win six games.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_02]: That you're just probably not going to do that.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_04]: No, I mean, if the price obviously was in range and we were able to acquire in for what we were comfortable with, we would have done it.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_04]: But like you're saying, we just can't do what the raiders didn't say, screw it, we're going big or we're going home.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_04]: You know, we just can't really do that right now because we went big.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_04]: And now we're going home every freaking year and Andrew Barry did say in his press conference while during, I forget when it was, but he did say next season, 2027, we'll be hyper-aggressive infre agency.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_04]: And when I saw that quote, that did make me think, oh boy, this year's probably going to be.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, a bunch of one-year contracts to fill out the roster will make a couple bigger signings like the Quincy Williams thing is really nice to help out the defense and all that kind of stuff.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_04]: But it's going to be draft.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to be a young team is going to be draft UDFA's maybe trades for some younger guys that are backups right now that, you know, look at like we do a white teller back in the day.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe they pan out.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe they don't.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_02]: Is it worth it to win four games this year?
- 59:04[SPEAKER_02]: If it means we get to draft share my Smith next year.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: I get I've watched just suck for a lot of years without the promise to Jeremiah Smith being there.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I can suffer through one more season.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: If it means I'm going to have a top four pick to know to land that guy.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: So why so pessimistic because we're Browns fans like
- 59:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think we're being pessimistic.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're just, I feel like we're in a situation, man.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_02]: Realistic.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like, it's in my lifetime.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_02]: We've been good for two years, competitive for five.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_04]: in the last 30 years.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, losing seasons in what like 22 out of 27 or I forgot what it is.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_04]: It's 24 out of 27, since we came back.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_04]: It's been, it's been bad.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's been bad.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_04]: And we're just out of point with the roster right now, too, where it just, I'm excited to have to be able to see what we're dealing with.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'm excited for Todd Monkey and in the changes that we're gonna see hopefully.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_02]: It does, I'm not, there's just no way I can sit here in good conscious and say, how good we're going to be.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, any, I guess, you know, anything can happen, but it's just based off historical data.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to not be a great season.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_04]: And I mean, obviously, we're, we're excited about Shador Sanders.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I, I really liked what I saw from him last year.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, there was a turnover problem.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, he was playing, but he, you know, he played with the worst offense in the league, so I'm I am excited to see what he can do in year two.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_04]: It's really hard to expect a lot out of a rookie quarterback, whether they're taking one overall or not.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's just a lot.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_04]: So he's got a year under his belt.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_04]: Hopefully things go smooth through this offseason, training camp and all that stuff for him.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_04]: And maybe he takes it, maybe he takes a big leap.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_04]: And and everybody's just like, wow, okay, we got something here.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_04]: That could really help us for the future as well.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_04]: So
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, we're being real.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_04]: There are things to be optimistic about.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's one of them.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, so.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we're going to wrap this thing up here.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, we appreciate everybody who's here.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, day one free agency.

- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's hit the dog's podcast.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully we'll be able to have Justin back next week.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but I almost ran out of breast sing that.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'm not healthy.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not healthy.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_02]: You look at me, but, you know, maybe I'm not maybe I'm not a
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_02]: We appreciate everybody who's here watching with us, been here throughout the entire off season.
