- 0:08Eight, six thirteen WIBA Madison in the morning and ask the experson. I
- 0:14think we've got a new theme walk up song for sure for Andrew Larson from
- 0:18Larsen Home Service, A little welcome to my house. Andrew, how are
- 0:21you doing this morning? Doing great? Can you believe that is mid November?
- 0:27No, it's beautiful outside. Hey, I gotta give a little plug
- 0:32here to my Lodie Blue Devils football team. They play Thursday at seven o'clock
- 0:38for the Division four state championship. I was looking at weather last night because
- 0:45I'm like, okay, evening game, seven o'clock, mid November. We're
- 0:48gonna have to break out it's winter gear. It's going to be fifty eight
- 0:52fifty eight degrees on November seventeenth, crazy seven pm for the Blue Devils to
- 0:59win the state championship. So good luck guys. And we've got about a
- 1:03high today is sixty four, a high tomorrow of sixty two, which means
- 1:07this is good roof and weather, isn't it? Andrew? This is fantastic
- 1:11roofing weather, which you know, kind of thanks for the lead in.
- 1:14You know, I really wanted to talk about the fact that so many people
- 1:18think you know it has to be done in warmarm weather. Has to be
- 1:23done in warm, warm weather. Well, it's not exactly true. What
- 1:26we need for a roof is we need forty five degrees for everything to seal
- 1:29down. It doesn't mean it has to be forty five degrees in the rook
- 1:32it'ts put on. It just means that we need some time at forty five
- 1:34degrees with some sun. A lot of people think that if the roof doesn't
- 1:38seal down, it is going to leak. Well, I can tell you
- 1:41this. The last two years, we have roofed all year long. And
- 1:46when I say all year, I mean December, January, February, in
- 1:49March. Now, if it's ten degrees, we're not out doing a roof.
- 1:53But you know we do get a lot of those nice sunny you can
- 1:57tell them from Wisconsin, those nice sunny days. Yeah, you know,
- 2:07those nice sunny days in the winter where it might hit twenty five thirty degrees.
- 2:10I know it sounds terrible, but it's actually really good, really good
- 2:14working weather. There's time to get your roofs done. In all the years
- 2:19I've been doing this, we really only used to do emergency roofing in the
- 2:23winter where it always happened, where we literally told somebody, hey, you
- 2:29really need to get this roof done. You shouldn't be waiting, and then
- 2:31we get a call in the middle of winter, hey, I got a
- 2:34spot on my ceiling. Get a spot on your sin That means it's got
- 2:37through the shingles, the underlayment, the OSB, it's gotten through the insulation.
- 2:42Now it's in your sheet rock. So now we have a bigger problem.
- 2:44We've done those and last year we just really actually just did roofing on
- 2:49the nice days and we never had a leak, we never had a blow
- 2:53off from wind. Everything worked out perfectly fine. And actually once it gets
- 2:58to be colder, you know, we slowed down. So we do offer
- 3:00some better deals as well. So my whole point of this is, is
- 3:04there still time if you think your roof needs a little TLC With a roof
- 3:08inspection. We do a three seventeen point roof inspection with every single estimate that
- 3:14we do, so you know exactly what's going on, whether that be a
- 3:19gutter shutter estimate or roofing estimate, we can still take care of it and
- 3:23if there are things that need to be fixed right now, a four winter
- 3:28as part of our roof restore program, we can get that done as well.
- 3:32It's a fantastic, fantastic call, fantastic data. Pick up phone.
- 3:36Give Andrew or the team at Larstome Services a call, get that seventeen point
- 3:39inspection on your roof, not going to cost you a thing, and you
- 3:43will learn some fantastic stuff. I'll cant just pick up phone, get a
- 3:45call six So wait five three five forty three forty three. That's five three
- 3:49five four three four three for lars Stome Services. The website Larsenhome Services dot

- 3:58Before we talk about dot you save one more thing about the roofs and I've
- 4:00got to ask you if this is part of it. One of the things
- 4:02that we've talked about this you did the roof on the beautiful prebol estate a
- 4:08number of years ago, and one of the things that was so impressive.
- 4:12Obviously the finished product was amazing, but actually seeing the work that was done
- 4:16and how quickly that work is done. And I've got a guess that part
- 4:20of the reason why a large storm services you guys are able to work during
- 4:25these months is the fact that you don't have to worry about the elements because
- 4:29you're literally getting that roof done in I'd say a day, but I almost
- 4:33feel like, to your guys, that's an insult to say it takes all
- 4:36day because they work so darn fast, you know, it's it's incredible how
- 4:44I don't even like to say fast. I like to know they are fast,
- 4:46right, I mean, you know, they literally do five hundred to
- 4:50seven hundred roofs a year for crew. It's efficiency. It's from the time
- 4:57the truck pulls up, guys are getting equipment out, there's already guys backing
- 5:02up the dump truck, the dump trailer because we don't we actually don't use
- 5:06a dumpster. We use a dump truck. That way we can truly be
- 5:10in and out in the same day. Anybody's ever had work done, a
- 5:14roof done, so we've use a dumpster a lot of times. That dumpster
- 5:16can sit there for twenty four to forty eight hours. We're in and out
- 5:19in the same day. But it's efficiency. We actually just had someone who
- 5:23was upset the other day and it was part of their restore program where they
- 5:27basically they just had a little porch roof that was an add on. It
- 5:30really wasn't done right and it was completely shot and it needed to be done
- 5:36and OSB and everything. And it was four squares, so in roofing terms,
- 5:43that's like about five percent of a normal and it should stay five percent
- 5:49yea, yeah, about five percent of normal house. It's very it's very
- 5:53small. It's four hundred and four feet. And the lady was so upset
- 5:57because, I mean, it wasn't cheap. I mean, like anything,
- 6:02a restore, typically per square is going to be a little bit more expensive
- 6:05because we still have to bring the same amount of people out there, the
- 6:08same equipment out there. It's a much smaller Quaker job. Anyway, took
- 6:11them an hour and she's so mad that it only took an hour. And
- 6:16you know, my response was, you know, ma'am, we can do
- 6:19a full house in like five hours. Yeah. And I think that it's
- 6:26a test, and it's a test. It's to show that the guys are
- 6:30that experience, that they're that efficient that yes, we can come over in
- 6:36an hour and we can be in and out and done and everything's clean and
- 6:40it's good. And I mean, I don't really think that's something to be
- 6:42upset about. It's I mean, I think it's impressive. So yes,
- 6:46it's very quick. One house one day, one house, want half a
- 6:51day sometimes And then again, our guarantees, our home protection guarantee are no
- 6:56nail guarantee on our schedule guarantees. We guarantee we're going to be out there
- 7:00when we say we're going to be out there, we're going to clean up,
- 7:03and we're going to protect your home. So no matter how fast it
- 7:05is, those are the concerns that people have roof gits done properly and everything
- 7:10to protected and cleaned up. That was that's It's funny you mentioned the efficiency
- 7:14too, because that was the as and I brought this point up, but
- 7:16I'll bring it up again on previous shows. Is like most people that I've
- 7:20got a bunch of cameras outside my house and so watching on the cameras,
- 7:26watching the crew's work, and it's it's such a the coordination and like everybody
- 7:30knows exactly what like it's literally it's like this rigorous, very precise step by
- 7:38step. Everybody knows exactly what their task is. They they roll up,
- 7:43they start the job. Everybody is like in perfect synchronization and boom, it
- 7:47is done with an absolutely amazing product. That's the great thing about working with
- 7:50Andrew and the team at Largsnome Services. They are the pros. They know
- 7:54what they're doing. They are going to help you. They want to take
- 7:56a look at you, Riff. If you've got questions, that's seventeen point
- 7:59inspection today to day. To have that done all go to just pick up
- 8:01phone, gimme call six o' eight five three five forty three forty three.
- 8:05That's five three five four three four three. The website Larsenhomes Services dot com.
- 8:11That's l A R. S o N Home Services dot com. Madison
- 8:15dot COM's people Choice winner for best roofing and gutter company, Larsen Home Services.
- 8:20Again the tough number six so eight five three five forty three forty three.
- 8:22That's five three five four three four three. And Andrew, as much
- 8:26as we love days like today, in the next few days, we know
- 8:31ups and downs here in Wisconsin this time of year. As we head towards
- 8:33winter, there's going to be very cold days, there's going to be very
- 8:37a little bit warmer days, and you really want to make sure that your
- 8:41house is ready to perform through all of those all of those climate changes,
- 8:45and can serve that energy, can serve that money that you put into your
- 8:48house exactly. It's like I had a talk with the insulation production team a
- 8:56couple of weeks ago, and I said, listen, guys, you've been
- 9:00busy all year, but we are now approaching the playoffs for your seat,
- 9:05for your season, Like this is playoff time, This is go time when
- 9:07it starts to get cold. Even though I try to educate people as much
- 9:13as we can on our podcast and on this show that insulation in your attic
- 9:16is actually more important in this summer and it is in the winter. Air
- 9:20ceiling is more important in the winter. But it all goes together. But
- 9:24like now is now is when people really really think about you know, you
- 9:28think of insulation, you think of you know, wrapping your home in a
- 9:33blanket, putting a coat on your home. It mean, it makes sense,
- 9:37I get it. But yes, doctor, energy saver is it becomes
- 9:41very, very very important, and it's very important for everybody who lives in
- 9:46a climate that we live in where you know, we're going to see negative
- 9:50twenty in the year and we're going to see one hundred in a year.
- 9:54Those type of temperature swings you don't get many other places on Earth's so making
- 10:00sure that your home performs properly. And I always call it instead of just
- 10:05calling it insulation and air ceiling and what I like to call it home performance.
- 10:11How does your home perform? How does the HVAC unit interact with all
- 10:16of the things that are put in your home to help you contain that heat
- 10:20and that cool That's what we do. We come in and make sure that
- 10:24your home is going to perform as efficiently as it possibly can. We use
- 10:30moisture meters, we use humidity measurements, we take thermal imaging to go through
- 10:35your house and show you where your leaks are, where you're missing stuff,
- 10:39and then we show you how we can solve all of it, some of
- 10:43it or just a portion of it. But the big thing is is educating
- 10:46a homeowner on hey, if we just do part C, that can actually
- 10:52affect the rest of your home in a negative way. So sometimes it's kind
- 10:58of an all or none, but sometimes is just one little thing that we
- 11:01can get in and do that can make a huge, huge difference. You
- 11:03go into a house nowadays, people love to put can lights in how many
- 11:07addicts that we get in that have a dozen can lights with no insulated air
- 11:13sealed covers on. I mean, they're literally six inch holes in your ceiling
- 11:18and a lot of them don't have any insulation around them because an electrician got
- 11:22up there and put them in and that's not of their concern and a lot
- 11:26of times they don't want the insulation touching them, so little things like that,
- 11:30and we can show homeowners with thermal imaging and endoscopes and some of the
- 11:35different tools we have exactly where they're losing all of their energy and then show
- 11:39them what it will cost to get it fixed, make their home more efficient
- 11:43and more comfortable, so the whole year. It's such an amazing thing Doctor
- 11:48Energy Saver with Larsen Home Services. And there I know Andrew years ago when
- 11:52you brought on doctor Energy Saver, there's other there's other products out there,
- 11:56there's other things you could have done, and you said, you know what,
- 12:00this is the best one and that's why you chose. And of course
- 12:03doctor Ergie Saver really wanted to work with you guys at lars Home Services as
- 12:07well and be part of all the great work that you guys do so.
- 12:09Today is the day when it comes to home performance, when it comes to
- 12:13your roof, you need anything looked at, checked out. Today is a
