  Hello, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith Let It Begin. It is a Monday. It's August 25th, 2025.

  Wow. Can you believe it? Last week of August is here. We're about to say goodbye

  to August and hello, September.

  And today, I've been up since a good 4.45 this morning because ministry school
• 2:03
  started off with another semester, and it has been an interesting one.

  Already, right off the gate, we are ready to rock and roll with the Old Testament.

  I'm excited, energized, and so blessed to dive right into the Holy Bible and
• 2:18
  to go into the very beginning, since we're kind of going a little bit out of
• 2:23
  order. But you know what?
• 2:25
  There's no such thing as out of order as long as you're studying the Word of God.
• 2:28
  But yes, technically speaking, I should have done the Old Testament first, then the New Testament.
• 2:33
  But we are doing it in this order because when I first started,
• 2:37
  I wasn't able to get the class that I needed in a timely fashion.
• 2:42
  But you know what, guys? God works in mysterious ways.
• 2:44
  And so here we are, my third semester, and looking forward to it.
• 2:49
  Technically, it's my second semester, third class, but I always consider each course a semester.
• 2:56
  Just want to be kind of technically sound i

  want to sound correct so yeah it's been
• 3:02
  a rocky rocky road this to say
• 3:06
  the least right in the last couple of months dealing with so
• 3:09
  much try to keep you up to speed here i've had a long 40 well five days off
• 3:15
  and was supposed to do a lot of things unfortunately my kids got sick my wife
• 3:20
  got sick i did not get sick thank the lord i think a A lot of that has to do
• 3:25
  with the fact that I've been trying to keep myself at a healthier pace.
• 3:30
  And keep myself hydrated as much as possible.
• 3:32
  Ever since I got diagnosed as a diabetic, I realized that, you know, health is important.
• 3:38
  Even though yesterday was not a good, healthy eating day, I took the kids to
• 3:43
  McDonald's and I had a quarter pounder and a large fry.
• 3:47
  But I did have a Diet Coke. All right. So yes, I cheated a little,
• 3:52
  but it's been a while. So, yeah, I've been struggling.
• 3:58
  It's been tough, but we did get a lot of recordings done. So here's a programming note.

  The professor, Nick, will be back for another episode tomorrow.

  Dr. E is away on vacation, so that's why he's not joining us this Monday,
• 4:12
  but he'll be back, rest assured.

  And so Professor Nick will be back tomorrow with another part two episode of

  his two recording special.

  And then we have a two-parter coming up, Wednesday and Thursday.

  It's a surprise. I'm not going to tell you who they are, but we have two people

  coming onto the show to do a two-part episode, and it's for college students.

  We have a freshman of college and a junior of college, best friends,
• 4:45
  and they're going to talk to us as we start a new series called Reaching for the Stars.

  It's been something I've been waiting to do for quite some time,
• 4:53
  but I figured I'd go in a different direction.
• 4:56
  Reaching for the stars can be anything. Instead of being creators,
• 4:59
  we decided to go with a direction of where you want to be in life and how you
• 5:03
  want to reach for the stars.
• 5:04
  So I decided it would be in our best interest us to dive
• 5:08
  into college students and go and talk
• 5:11
  a little bit about in this segment of reaching the stars about
• 5:14
  what a person looks forward to as they enter their
• 5:17
  freshman year of college and how's it going
• 5:20
  for a person that's going into their junior year of college and we start to
• 5:24
  talk a little bit about how high school if they did or didn't prepare us for
• 5:30
  that and then we get my perspective on it and that's a two-parter that's coming
• 5:33
  out wednesday and thursday and guess what?
• 5:37
  There'll be video formats for that one. That's right.
• 5:40
  So I'm just finishing up editing those pieces and then we'll be back to Friday
• 5:45
  and then, yeah, then we'll kick off September, which it's going to be a tough one for me.

  Noah is going to school and I get to put him on a bus and it'll be the first
• 5:56
  time as a parent that I will have both kids in school and I don't know what
• 6:02
  I'm going to do that day. I have no idea.
• 6:05
  I haven't felt, I haven't been my own technically, unless of course my daughter
• 6:12
  and my son were out with, let's say their grandparents or my mom,
• 6:16
  my wife, let's say when I'm not home by myself, but usually those are like, what, an hour?
• 6:20
  Now I'm going to have them both gone for all day.
• 6:24
  When I have my days off, I don't even know what I'm going to do.
• 6:27
  And that's an episode we're going to talk about later on as I get into that.
• 6:32
  So where do we go with today's episode? It's really more of a catch-up.

  It's letting you know where I'm at, letting you know that we've been struggling.

  Want to talk to you next week about some really eerie things that have happened

  to me, things that I didn't think I would ever share on a podcast,

  but I think it's time to go there.

  You know, and it'll get a little creepy, not going to lie.

  life, into the doorsteps of your home, and even at times infiltrate the home.

  All right. So with that being said, everything is well.

  I am talking a little lower than usual because I am right now walking the dog.

  You probably don't hear the background, but there's beautiful birds chirping.

  The sun is just starting to come out and I'm walking Cody and I don't want to

  be too loud as I walk my neighborhood and everybody's still sleeping,
• 7:31
  enjoying what is probably the last week for all of us here in the Northeast.

  Many of the other places have already started school, but here in the Northeast,
• 7:38
  we haven't started yet officially until September 4th.
• 7:42
  Okay. Actually, September 3rd, excuse me. With that being said,

  how about we close today's episode out with a formal prayer? Let's do that now.

  Heavenly Father, thank you so much for what you give us.

  Oh my goodness, beautiful sun just shining right now as I say that to my face.

  Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

  Lead us not into temptation. Deliver us from evil.

  Heavenly Father, we thank you for another beautiful weekend,

  Lord, last night it looks like it rained over here in the northeast as I wake

  up. Some puddles, some wet grass.

  But it's 62 degrees and I'm wearing a tank top. And I thank you,

  Lord, for your kindness, your understanding.

  Lord, I also want to thank you for keeping Cody healthy.

  Cody was not doing well. He was sick. We had to take him to the vet.

  And he's doing better. We thank you, Lord, for the ability to come together each and every weekday.

  just found out myself and my wife that there's a house for sale in our backyard

  hopefully when we do the walkthrough this is something we want to purchase and

  we're praying and hoping that this will be the home because if it is,
• 9:46
  then I can move my parents closer to me and we'll literally have a street that we can actually call,

  I lost the whole train of thought there.

  When you want to have all your family in one spot, I can't think of the word

  right now, but yeah, it'll be kind of cool and I'm hoping that that works out, but if it's not,
• 10:07
  if it's not the place we want to be and if it's not the house that is meant for us,
• 10:14
  we will continue to stay where we are.
• 10:16
  And if we have to grow the home, we'll grow the home. And that's pretty much
• 10:21
  what we're talking about.

  let Him know that you are with Him because He's with you,
