- 0:31Speaker 1: missed our conversations pop culture talk. But we're back here now.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I heard that you guys had your Star Wars pilot
- 0:40Speaker 1: was very well received. I heard on the interwebs. Oh
- 0:43Speaker 1: my goodness, the messages Instagram dms were such a delight
- 0:48Speaker 1: the past couple of days, like so wonderful. And then
- 0:51Speaker 1: of course our friends who run the Fake Doctor's real
- 0:53Speaker 1: Friends Instagram. I found this amazing artwork and I talked
- 0:56Speaker 1: to the artist this morning. He's really cool. We may
- 1:00Speaker 1: work some things out. Drawing someone did of you and
- 1:03Speaker 1: Donald Yeah yeah, they made and Donald Han and it
- 1:07Speaker 1: was so awesome, so cool. What Yes, it's myself Donald
- 1:12Speaker 1: cal Rissian, but you know, hey, yeah we can we
- 1:14Speaker 1: can talk, we can make a job. I'm sure the
- 1:16Speaker 1: artist could make you Donald cal Rissian if you want, no, no, no,
- 1:19Speaker 1: you could always draw me looking like Han Solo, but
- 1:23Speaker 1: just put the name cal Rissian on the back. Put
- 1:25Speaker 1: some respect on that name, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:28Speaker 1: Grow some respect on it. I'm excited for the prospect
- 1:31Speaker 1: of you guys doing this. I think that there's a
- 1:33Speaker 1: big demand out there. There are so many people like
- 1:36Speaker 1: you two who could just sit and talk about Star
- 1:39Speaker 1: Wars all day long. We did want to reassure the
- 1:42Speaker 1: fake doctors, feel friends listeners like this is not going
- 1:44Speaker 1: to be the space where we do the Star Wars podcasts.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I was worried that some people might be like, oh,
- 1:48Speaker 1: here it goes now, it's all Star Wars. If you're not,
- 1:51Speaker 1: it's most definitely it's most definitely not. I can assure
- 1:55Speaker 1: you this is gonna stay with This is and these
- 1:57Speaker 1: two might have a little side hustle and Daniel, maybe
- 1:59Speaker 1: you I should start a little side hustle podcast into that.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We have to find out you start a podcast called
- 2:05Speaker 1: you Honor Me Now. I actually was falling asleep last
- 2:10Speaker 1: night and I was thinking about being happy for YouTube.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Of course, a little jealous because that's my human nature.
- 2:18Speaker 1: But then I was like, well, what can dot Daniel
- 2:20Speaker 1: and I do? Like where's our ven diagram of overlapping interests?
- 2:25Speaker 1: And I thought it might be like, I mean, we're
- 2:26Speaker 1: not gonna do this, but I thought I was thinking,
- 2:28Speaker 1: like we could talk about gadgets. We both love electronics
- 2:32Speaker 1: and gadgets. I love that idea. Yeah, Like like you
- 2:37Speaker 1: know that guy, what's the name of that black guy
- 2:39Speaker 1: who's like the YouTube and he reviews cool gadgetry Marcus, Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 1: Marky's Brownley MKHD. I think it is. Yeah, that guy's awesome.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I love that guy. Yeah, And I thought you and
- 2:50Speaker 1: I could just like chat about camera toys and electronics.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's our side hustle everybody. You can help me fix
- 2:57Speaker 1: my camera? That would be great. Yeah. How are you?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Donald Phaison? My favorite human being? I don't know if
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm at the listen. Man, you told me to do
- 3:07Speaker 1: something and I did it today because you know what
- 3:09Speaker 1: it's time. Did you get on the peloton? Did you
- 3:11Speaker 1: get on the peloton? I peloton today, man, I'm peloton
- 3:14Speaker 1: like you wouldn't believe. Man. And I did it for
- 3:17Speaker 1: twenty minutes and I did Cody Yeah, and I did
- 3:22Speaker 1: his Black Girl group ride. Oh that sounds right up
- 3:27Speaker 1: your alley. Let me just put it this way. You
- 3:31Speaker 1: know what song was on there? What your favorite? Where
- 3:35Speaker 1: my girl's at? From there? You're feeling many one and
- 3:40Speaker 1: repeat that trying to take my man, I don't need that,
- 3:43Speaker 1: trying to play yourself where my girl? Where my girls?
- 3:47Speaker 1: That one and feeling that where my girls? Right? He
- 3:54Speaker 1: played that one and he finished with this is when
- 3:57Speaker 1: I was like, Cody, you read you just made my day.
- 4:01Speaker 1: But not only did he read my day, but he
- 4:02Speaker 1: also turned me out, man, because I was so tired,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Like I'm in the shower rinsing off to do the
- 4:06Speaker 1: podcast and like standing you remember I have to end
- 4:09Speaker 1: of Rocky four after he just went through the battle
- 4:12Speaker 1: with with Ivan Drago and he's standing in the shower
- 4:16Speaker 1: and he realizes I got brain damage, called the doctor.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's how I felt after the ride with with Cody today. Well,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you know it's twenty minutes. It's gonna it's gonna be
- 4:28Speaker 1: a lot more difficult than a See, I broke my toe.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm six weeks out of my my toe break, and
- 4:34Speaker 1: and so I'm I have to tiptoe for lack of
- 4:37Speaker 1: a better term, back. So I'm doing back to the basics.
- 4:43Speaker 1: But I encourage everyone listen. If you're listening, I encourage
- 4:47Speaker 1: you to join us on on healthy January. You don't
- 4:50Speaker 1: have to have a pelleton bike. You don't have to
- 4:53Speaker 1: you can literally walk around your block. But I encourage
- 4:58Speaker 1: you to, you know, join some movement, get some movement,
- 5:02Speaker 1: because well, I'm sure you know that. I'm sure you
- 5:05Speaker 1: all did what we did in December and just let
- 5:08Speaker 1: it all go. But it's January now, new year. We
- 5:12Speaker 1: all with with all that's going on with COVID. You know,
- 5:15Speaker 1: I think of working out most importantly for my mental health.
- 5:19Speaker 1: If you're not someone who's done a lot of cardio
- 5:21Speaker 1: in your life, I'm telling you that if you do
- 5:24Speaker 1: thirty minutes of it and get your heart rate up,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you feel so good. And don't be intimidated by going, oh,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I don't have a fucking peloton by zach or I
- 5:34Speaker 1: don't have I can't run, I have. You can. Anyone
- 5:37Speaker 1: can put on music, put on a podcast and walk,
- 5:41Speaker 1: and I encourage you to join us, right guys, absolutely So.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The last song that uh He played was I Need
- 5:53Speaker 1: Love love don't come easy. It'sing. It's a thing. You
- 6:04Speaker 1: can't hurry love. No, you just do wait. She said,
- 6:10Speaker 1: love don't come easy. It's a game of giving take.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You can't hurry love. No, you just have to wag dude.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That was the That was the outro. Yeah, I can't.
- 6:27Speaker 1: What is the reason? You just made me realize? What
- 6:29Speaker 1: is the reason in the in the lyricts mind that
- 6:31Speaker 1: you can't hurry love? Why do you have to wait?
- 6:34Speaker 1: Because it doesn't come easy. It's a game of give
- 6:36Speaker 1: and take. So if you're not ready to play the
- 6:38Speaker 1: game of love, you know you gotta wait. Dude. But
- 6:41Speaker 1: what happens when you're in love and you're excited and
- 6:43Speaker 1: you don't you just want to sprints towards it with
- 6:45Speaker 1: your arms open. You don't want to wait. Okay, there's
- 6:48Speaker 1: two things you don't play. You don't play like this song,
- 6:51Speaker 1: there's two things I understand. But there's two things in
- 6:54Speaker 1: life you don't play. You don't play love and you
- 6:56Speaker 1: don't play boxing. Okay, those are two things you do
- 7:00Speaker 1: not play. Period. You don't waste somebody's time, and you
- 7:04Speaker 1: don't get your ass kicked for being a dumbass by
- 7:07Speaker 1: playing boxing. Don't play boxing, y'all. Some people learn the
- 7:11Speaker 1: hard way. You don't play just because you're in a
- 7:13Speaker 1: boxing class learning how to do all of that tibo
- 7:17Speaker 1: shit and all that stuff. Don't mean you're gonna kick
- 7:19Speaker 1: somebody's ass. Man. Don't play boxing. That is real life.
- 7:22Speaker 1: A fight is a fight, is a fighting anyway. So
- 7:25Speaker 1: and you don't and you don't play that game. Don't
- 7:27Speaker 1: play with love. It's funny. I've heard that song He's
- 7:29Speaker 1: willion times, but I'm just analyzing the lyrics. You can't
- 7:31Speaker 1: hurry love. You just have to wait. Love don't come easy.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It's a game of give and take. Yeah, well, so
- 7:40Speaker 1: look if somebody, if you love somebody right, go ahead,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and you want to take it to the next level.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You can't just say, let's take it to the next level.
- 7:54Speaker 1: It has to gradually get there on its own. Meaning
- 7:57Speaker 1: you can't just feel like, if love is happening with
- 8:00Speaker 1: both people, then let it happen, and you gotta let it.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Then you have to let it happen. But why am
- 8:05Speaker 1: I taking? I mean, just why when you're in especially
- 8:07Speaker 1: in the new love, I just want to give. I
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't want to. I don't want to I don't want
- 8:12Speaker 1: modulate my love. I want to take a lot of
- 8:14Speaker 1: love too when I'm when I'm first in love, not
- 8:16Speaker 1: only do I want to give love, but I want
- 8:18Speaker 1: to take love too. Is good? Love is good when
- 8:21Speaker 1: you receive it. Yeah, it's good to give, but it's
- 8:24Speaker 1: good to Oh my god, Jaell, how is the dating
- 8:28Speaker 1: thing going? We really now that it's a new year, Joel,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I feel like new year knew you. And if listeners
- 8:38Speaker 1: will recall that you said you were open to finding
- 8:42Speaker 1: love and I just want to know where that was at.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I if there's anything Donald and I can do to
- 8:48Speaker 1: set in motion you finding true love. Uh, I'm moving.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I feel like Zach, you're such like a true like.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I don't like this phrase hopeless romantic because I feel
- 9:02Speaker 1: like that's not accurate. But you just want, like everyone
- 9:05Speaker 1: to be in love. You love love, and I love love.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I love that abouch you man, It's it's beautiful. I
- 9:13Speaker 1: have to get out of this living room and into
- 9:16Speaker 1: the house. Well, when's that happening? You and you're you
- 9:19Speaker 1: and your brother found a new spot right it's a
- 9:21Speaker 1: child house, yes, and it's three stories and I have
- 9:24Speaker 1: a balcony and it's so pretty, and you're gonna get
- 9:28Speaker 1: a puppy apparently, Oh, we are getting a freaking puppy
- 9:30Speaker 1: out here. I have to bribe or like, I don't know,
- 9:34Speaker 1: I'll pray to different gods, like whatever we need to do.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I tell you, you know, I always I follow the
- 9:41Speaker 1: LaBelle Foundation, which is a rescue organization where we rescued
- 9:44Speaker 1: Billy from and I'm always dming Joel pictures of cute
- 9:48Speaker 1: puppies cry and Jobelle's like Joel amongst my other friends too,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I do that. So they're like, yeah, Zach, we follow
- 9:54Speaker 1: LaBelle Foundation. We get it. But I'm but I'm still like,
- 9:57Speaker 1: I don't care. Look at this one. Zoom in, zoom
- 9:58Speaker 1: in on the eyes. They're all beautiful and I can't
- 10:02Speaker 1: wait to give one a home. We move in two weeks.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Over the three day weekends. Oh, I think I see
- 10:07Speaker 1: some boxes actually in the background of yourself of everything
- 10:11Speaker 1: in different states. Yes, having a room is going to
- 10:14Speaker 1: be just the best. So once I have like my
- 10:16Speaker 1: own bedroom and the weekend dating situation, oh Joe, well,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you're you're you you you don't you? You and your
- 10:26Speaker 1: brother are sharing a one bedroom right now? We have
- 10:29Speaker 1: a two bedroom apartment. I uh, fell on some really
- 10:34Speaker 1: hard times and you did a place to live like
- 10:36Speaker 1: a year and a half ago, and so my brother
- 10:38Speaker 1: and his best friend Andrew, like they were like, we
- 10:41Speaker 1: opened the house to you, and so I've been sleeping
- 10:42Speaker 1: on their couch for like a year and a half. Now,
- 10:45Speaker 1: you guys, but you've had such a delicious turnaround times
- 10:51Speaker 1: and had to sleep on a couch. Now you have
- 10:54Speaker 1: all these exciting things happening with your career, and I'm
- 10:58Speaker 1: just so excited for you. I think, first of all,
- 11:00Speaker 1: you have First of all, you have in my in
- 11:04Speaker 1: my opinion, you have one of the best Star Wars
- 11:08Speaker 1: podcasts in the history of Star Wars, like straight up,
- 11:13Speaker 1: like straight up, dude, like straight up, that ship was
- 11:15Speaker 1: so jo It was so much fun. It was so
- 11:18Speaker 1: much fun, and it was so much fun to re
- 11:20Speaker 1: listen to it. Also, I'm gonna be honest with you,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and then it was also so much fun that he
- 11:24Speaker 1: had a response from all the fans out there talking
- 11:27Speaker 1: about talking about you and I and our chemistry together.
- 11:30Speaker 1: That felt so good because I know your passion for
- 11:33Speaker 1: the movie and you know my passion for the movies
- 11:35Speaker 1: and everything nervous. We didn't talk about it, but I
- 11:38Speaker 1: was really nervous about putting it out. I was like,
- 11:40Speaker 1: hem meanhawing, And we had talked about putting it out
- 11:42Speaker 1: on Christmas and then I was like, oh, I don't know,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I don't know. It was just so and then we
- 11:46Speaker 1: finally released it, and Yeah, to get like such a
- 11:47Speaker 1: positive response from everybody, I just want to say, I
- 11:52Speaker 1: didn't know that you fell on hard times a year
- 11:55Speaker 1: and a half ago, and I am so thrilled for
- 11:57Speaker 1: you that in this awful time for the earth, you
- 12:02Speaker 1: are are are are catching your stride, and you're You've
- 12:05Speaker 1: got a lot of cool projects going on, and you
- 12:08Speaker 1: just you're You're so talented and people love you. They
- 12:11Speaker 1: our fans are crazy about you. And so when you
- 12:16Speaker 1: when you did that one little host thing, there were
- 12:18Speaker 1: so many comments about like, oh my god, Joell needs
- 12:20Speaker 1: a rold show, Oh my god, Joell needs so I
- 12:23Speaker 1: just think the sky's the limit for you this year, Joel.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I think you're gonna accomplish so many things. And I
- 12:28Speaker 1: know you're also a writer and you aspire to uh
- 12:31Speaker 1: to do lots of different forms of writing, and I
- 12:34Speaker 1: hope that all that happens for you this year. Oh
- 12:36Speaker 1: it's gonna you know, That's what the energy is all behind.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And I feel like I feel like I do want
- 12:42Speaker 1: to like date casually, but I feel like I don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: want to always in pandemic. It feels weird. Just be like, yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I don't foresee it's going anywhere. I'm just trying to
- 12:48Speaker 1: like meet and talk to people, and it's it's fun
- 12:50Speaker 1: when you're single to have a crush. You can just
- 12:53Speaker 1: have a fun person to d m. Maybe I'll look
- 12:57Speaker 1: for I'll look for someone like that from a married man.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I love my wife and I know she loves me
- 13:02Speaker 1: and we have a wonderful thing going. But casual dating
- 13:04Speaker 1: sounds like so much fun. We're gonna live like Karsy
- 13:09Speaker 1: through Joel. No, it's taken. No, it's taken. So if
- 13:12Speaker 1: that's what you're gonna do, you need to you need
- 13:14Speaker 1: to definitely take notes. Will you mind our advertisers Joel
- 13:18Speaker 1: or will or somebody that we want the dating app
- 13:21Speaker 1: to sponsor us, because I have lots of ideas for
- 13:24Speaker 1: dating app segments called Joelle finds True Love. That's the
- 13:29Speaker 1: that's the rough title. I really do want to the
- 13:32Speaker 1: title should be The title should be sorry, Joe want
- 13:35Speaker 1: to cut you off, But the title should be Joel
- 13:37Speaker 1: found a house. Now she's ready to mingle. No, we
- 13:47Speaker 1: just finished jingle jingle. Now it's time for Joel to mingle. Right,
- 14:00Speaker 1: But we can get Charlie Poos to write a little
- 14:01Speaker 1: theme song for them for the segment. Please get Charlie
- 14:04Speaker 1: poo theme song about me trying to find one. We
- 14:06Speaker 1: will listen. Charlie, Charlie and I. Charlie and I, uh,
- 14:12Speaker 1: we text and he's very happy. The theme song is
- 14:14Speaker 1: so well received. So I think if I go to
- 14:16Speaker 1: him and say, look, I know that you're you're on fuego,
- 14:18Speaker 1: but I need a little jingle for Joelle's jingle jingle,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I would die. That would be amazing. It would be something,
- 14:26Speaker 1: It would be something. It would be something special to
- 14:28Speaker 1: hear do something like you know you made it through
- 14:34Speaker 1: and finish your hust. So called Joe ell up. She
- 14:40Speaker 1: just wants to tuss. So yeah, oh good, Yeah, that's funny.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I like that. That's funny. We could Donald and I
- 14:52Speaker 1: could riff all day on Joel dating segment theme song. No,
- 14:56Speaker 1: it's a casual dating segment. They can't catch feelings. It's
- 14:59Speaker 1: a casual dating sells. If one person, anybody who goes
- 15:03Speaker 1: on a date with Joel is gonna catch feelings, well
- 15:05Speaker 1: then they're gonna have to worry. They're gonna have to
- 15:07Speaker 1: worry about that, because my girl's not ready to do
- 15:09Speaker 1: that yet. You know what I'm saying, both of you
- 15:10Speaker 1: being very auntie right now. I also feel like Joelli.
- 15:14Speaker 1: One thing about being fluid, that's the correct way to
- 15:17Speaker 1: phrase it, is that you got it. You get to
- 15:20Speaker 1: throw a wire net. That is the bonus of bisexuality. Yes, yes,
- 15:26Speaker 1: by the way, I feel like that could be one
- 15:28Speaker 1: of Charlie's lyrics. This bone is sub bisexuality. I catch,
- 15:34Speaker 1: I throw a widen it word. I don't care if
- 15:41Speaker 1: it's a penis salt. Vagina. Well, I don't know what
- 15:48Speaker 1: rhymes with vagina, what rymes of vaginas Donald. All I
- 15:51Speaker 1: know is when we do it, I'm getting behind us.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Vagina is a hard word to rhyme. I'm a vagina listener.
- 16:01Speaker 1: It's hard. I'm just trying to get off kind of.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I got it, and that's why I'm gonna get Marinder Mariner.
- 16:32Speaker 1: When I put my face and I'm going to Grinder, Yeah,
- 16:36Speaker 1: Grinder's good. Or if you're trying to get late, if
- 16:39Speaker 1: you're trying to get laid, then I am trying to
- 16:42Speaker 1: find you up. Brinder. I don't fuck with any of
- 16:51Speaker 1: that ship like Brander, but I like Teenas and also Vagina,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but Janna and Penis, I mean this penis myneesier rhyme.
- 17:09Speaker 1: We might have to end the night. Alright, alright, alright
- 17:15Speaker 1: seven about sure we made about a bunch of docs
- 17:21Speaker 1: and nurses stories never so get around here, yea, around here, Donald,
- 17:39Speaker 1: you did, you did the perfect thing, you know, And
- 17:43Speaker 1: there's always when there's an improv group, there's always the
- 17:46Speaker 1: guy in the improv comedy theater that's job is to
- 17:50Speaker 1: know when to do the blackout on the improv segment.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And like you guys, you guys, just stop now. You
- 17:56Speaker 1: went out on a laugh blackout and Donald, you five
- 18:00Speaker 1: seven dated the right blackout moment. There was no more
- 18:04Speaker 1: penis and vagina segment. All right, So his story, guys,
- 18:10Speaker 1: it's Donald's turn to narrate scrubs. It was Can I
- 18:14Speaker 1: just say one thing really quick? Yeah, we talked about
- 18:18Speaker 1: this weekend and you know we haven't seen each other.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I want to highlight something that's really been awesome to me.
- 18:27Speaker 1: I know, last week I talked about or last episode
- 18:31Speaker 1: I talked about grab A Tracks. This week now I've
- 18:37Speaker 1: been I've been going to this place for a long time.
- 18:40Speaker 1: But it's so delicious. And I know of it because
- 18:43Speaker 1: Trevor Ferris and his wife, Kelly Ferris, his wife and
- 18:47Speaker 1: my wife are very friendly. And he once did a
- 18:51Speaker 1: like a pizza night at a friend of ours house
- 18:54Speaker 1: where he came and he made pizza for all of
- 18:57Speaker 1: us and it was delius. And he has this place
- 19:01Speaker 1: and I'm sure if you live in California you've heard
- 19:04Speaker 1: of it. It's called Hanks Bagels. It is so good.
- 19:07Speaker 1: If you are a bagel leader and you love to
- 19:10Speaker 1: eat bagels, Hanks Bagels is a spot. It's usually sold
- 19:14Speaker 1: out the spot and Burthens it's just in Burbank. There's appening. Yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 1: there's a spot opening up in Studio City that uh
- 19:25Speaker 1: January nineteenth, or you can go to Hanks Bagels dot com.
- 19:29Speaker 1: When I tell you these bagels are delicious, I want
- 19:32Speaker 1: him to do a pizza bagel. That's how good the
- 19:34Speaker 1: pizza was. If you could imagine how good, you know,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I don't know how important crust is to pizza. And
- 19:41Speaker 1: he made pizza for us and it was like it
- 19:43Speaker 1: was like the type of where you would just like
- 19:45Speaker 1: devouring it. Think about how it's like you're implying that
- 19:48Speaker 1: it was better than Florence's pizzas that she made for you,
- 19:51Speaker 1: which no disrespect to your girlfriend. No, I just I'm
- 19:54Speaker 1: starting to infer that you're saying no disrespect to your girlfriend. Yeah.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I love Florence and I love I love her pizza.
- 20:04Speaker 1: This dude's a professional chef. He's you know, he's been
- 20:07Speaker 1: doing this for a really long time. And when I
- 20:09Speaker 1: tell you, if you haven't tried Hank Spagels yet, Zach,
- 20:13Speaker 1: all right, I promise you I will, but I will
- 20:15Speaker 1: get I will go and I will because George, Well
- 20:19Speaker 1: that's part of it. Part of it's like, you haven't
- 20:21Speaker 1: tried Hank Spagels yet. Really I haven't, but I will.
- 20:24Speaker 1: That's like my grandmother when I was a kid, and
- 20:26Speaker 1: I would be at the house and she'd be like,
- 20:28Speaker 1: you want bread with the with the food? And I'd
- 20:29Speaker 1: be like, no, I'm good, Grandma. She'd be like, you
- 20:31Speaker 1: don't want no bread with it? Like it would just couldn't.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I didn't understand it. That's how I am with you
- 20:37Speaker 1: with bagels, man, I just don't understand it, how you're
- 20:39Speaker 1: not eating well. I don't eat much gluten. I try
- 20:41Speaker 1: not to eat gluten, and I don't have Celiac or anything.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I just feel better all around when I don't have
- 20:48Speaker 1: gluten in my body. I noticed that I thought I
- 20:50Speaker 1: had celiac because I've really that acid reflux. And I
- 20:53Speaker 1: once read a thing on celiac and I was like, Oh,
- 20:55Speaker 1: I've had that. Oh I have that. Oh I have that.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I was convinced I had. I got tested. I don't
- 20:58Speaker 1: have it, but I did not. That is that when
- 21:00Speaker 1: I don't eat gluten, I feel better. Of Course I
- 21:02Speaker 1: cheat like hell, because I'll just like say, I'll suffer
- 21:06Speaker 1: the acid reflects because that pizza looks so good or
- 21:08Speaker 1: that bagel looks so good. But I will get you.
- 21:11Speaker 1: I will buy it for you as a matteract, you
- 21:13Speaker 1: won't have to buy it. I will go and buy
- 21:15Speaker 1: you a Baker's dozen't they are delicious. By the way,
- 21:18Speaker 1: I got your Your Christmas present is belated, but I
- 21:22Speaker 1: have to tell you it's pretty dope. And the one
- 21:24Speaker 1: one only hint I'm gonna give you is that the
- 21:28Speaker 1: reason it's late is because I bought it on stock X. Oh.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I mean you know what stock exits donald Yeah, I
- 21:38Speaker 1: know it's stock exits, all right, So just only hints
- 21:41Speaker 1: you're gonna get is stock X. It has to first
- 21:43Speaker 1: go to get verified before it comes to you, so
- 21:48Speaker 1: it's currently being verified for its authenticity. I can't wait.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I can't. I love getting presents. I love it. I
- 21:57Speaker 1: can I can't love. You know what's crazy, see though,
- 22:00Speaker 1: is that you got you got it off of stock
- 22:02Speaker 1: X and stuff. So now these sneakers that you bought
- 22:03Speaker 1: me are gonna immediately go right to the closet and
- 22:07Speaker 1: just sit there for the rest of their line. I
- 22:09Speaker 1: was just gonna rock him. First of all, you don't
- 22:11Speaker 1: know they're sneaker. Stock X verifies other things, but that
- 22:14Speaker 1: was the stock X verified. I don't everything everything they got,
- 22:17Speaker 1: big yo. They got the Millennium falcon on there. I mean,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I'm sure they're collectible. By the way I bought I
- 22:24Speaker 1: bought these. I bought these off white, Nike off whites,
- 22:27Speaker 1: and I didn't get them off stock X, and they
- 22:29Speaker 1: I like Nike off whites, they're like deconstructed, They're super dope,
- 22:32Speaker 1: and my girlfriend was cracking up. She's like, there's first
- 22:35Speaker 1: of all, those are fugly. Second of all, there's no
- 22:38Speaker 1: way there we all look at them. That thing's coming
- 22:40Speaker 1: off and that, and I was like, this was pre
- 22:42Speaker 1: pandemic and I was like a bat. In New York.
- 22:45Speaker 1: We live near flight Club, the sneaker shop, and I
- 22:49Speaker 1: was like, She's like, I want to go with you
- 22:51Speaker 1: when you bring them in to see if they're real,
- 22:53Speaker 1: because I'm gonna laugh so hard if you paid all
- 22:55Speaker 1: that money for those and they're fake. And I didn't
- 22:59Speaker 1: ever go in because I was worried. I was scared
- 23:03Speaker 1: I had been duped. But you know, it's funny because
- 23:06Speaker 1: off White's the whole thing. This style of Off White was.
- 23:09Speaker 1: Nike's were like meant to be deconstructed looking. We were
- 23:12Speaker 1: meant to look a little And so she was laughing
- 23:14Speaker 1: at him, like, Hey, I can't believe you bought those
- 23:16Speaker 1: for that much money. Be please, let's go to flight
- 23:19Speaker 1: Club because I think they have to be fake. Which
- 23:21Speaker 1: ones were they? Can? I ask? Yeah? There, I don't
- 23:24Speaker 1: know the name of them, but they were like they're
- 23:26Speaker 1: they were like I forgot the exact one, but they
- 23:29Speaker 1: were the mega deconstructed one Prestos maybe, yes, Nike Prestos.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Those are the ones that also looked the most and
- 23:36Speaker 1: they had an orange the swish was orange, and the
- 23:40Speaker 1: sneaker the late red tag. Yes, they're dope. They're very dope. Anyway.
- 23:45Speaker 1: The point is, Donald, I didn't want to put you
- 23:47Speaker 1: through that, so I went through stock X. I appreciate
- 23:50Speaker 1: your I appreciate your due diligence, but I mean, it's
- 23:55Speaker 1: really hard to tell fakes. They've gotten so good at
- 23:58Speaker 1: these fakes, so it doesn't matter if it's fake or real.
- 24:02Speaker 1: That's a very good question. That's a very good question.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But I think that's a that's a very good question.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I think it's just that if you're going to spend
- 24:10Speaker 1: a lot of money on a limited edition thing, you
- 24:13Speaker 1: want it to be the real thing. But what if
- 24:15Speaker 1: you didn't spend a lot of money and it looks
- 24:17Speaker 1: like that's fine? Yeah, I totally. I mean, I mean
- 24:21Speaker 1: that's like whether you want to support I mean, who cares, Yeah,
- 24:24Speaker 1: go ahead for it. Yeah, I mean, let's keep it.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Let's just keep it one hundred with everybody, you know,
- 24:29Speaker 1: sneakers don't cost a lot of money to make, but
- 24:31Speaker 1: they're sold at such a high price. You know what
- 24:34Speaker 1: I mean, They cost less than dollars to make. No
- 24:38Speaker 1: one is listen if you buy fake sneakers, No one
- 24:41Speaker 1: is sucking examining your sneakers. I just hope for you
- 24:43Speaker 1: and for fake shoes, fake sneakers. I don't give a
- 24:46Speaker 1: fuck if you buy fake shoes, fake sneakers. If it
- 24:49Speaker 1: keeps your feet warm or it keeps your feet protected,
- 24:52Speaker 1: good for you. Man. I'm glad you got shoes, don't.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck if you, like found found
- 24:56Speaker 1: fakes on purpose and they're cheap, I don't. I could
- 24:59Speaker 1: give two ships. I'm saying, if you're like me, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: you're the idiot who actually spent a lot of money
- 25:03Speaker 1: on them, you would hope that they were the real deal, right,
- 25:08Speaker 1: These sneakers, I mean, for you, these things that may
- 25:11Speaker 1: or not be sneakers that I got for you and
- 25:14Speaker 1: I spent a lot of money on them. I want
- 25:16Speaker 1: the guy at stock Eggs to be like, oh shit,
- 25:18Speaker 1: these are dope and they're real. You got me to
- 25:21Speaker 1: motherfucking lebron big apples, didn't you? You got me to Lebron.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You got me to space jams got jam. I'm not
- 25:27Speaker 1: gonna ruin it? Do you want me to ruin it?
- 25:28Speaker 1: I was hoping you would unbox on the podcast live
- 25:31Speaker 1: when they arrive. When they arrive, I will unbox on. Okay,
- 25:34Speaker 1: we'll do a live unbox thing on the podcast. Let's
- 25:36Speaker 1: take a break. We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 25:45Speaker 1: All right, are you ready for your recap? Why didn't
- 25:49Speaker 1: we get the time around for a graph? Guy? One seconds?
- 25:53Speaker 1: I haven't seen an update on the graph. And sometime
- 25:55Speaker 1: Joel check in on the graph and go, oh snap,
- 26:00Speaker 1: your man got the vo for this episode. Turks all
- 26:03Speaker 1: in his head about his upcoming nuptials. J D needs
- 26:06Speaker 1: a break from it all. Elliott missus Shawn so much
- 26:09Speaker 1: it hurts sometimes, and Cox is looking for an ally
- 26:12Speaker 1: in an ongoing battle with the evil Doctor Kelso, just
- 26:16Speaker 1: when you think you know someone is usually when they
- 26:18Speaker 1: give you cause to cast doubt. That's not always a
- 26:21Speaker 1: bad thing. Sometimes that good thing you need from a
- 26:25Speaker 1: friend is just a simple shift in perspective. That being said,
- 26:29Speaker 1: do you really want to always know what to expect
- 26:33Speaker 1: from someone? Seems a bit boring? Well, good work. I
- 26:39Speaker 1: don't I want to know that. First of all, Elliot's
- 26:42Speaker 1: a hoe. No, no, Elliott bad. I think no, hold on,
- 26:51Speaker 1: I think, hold on, I think I think. Right then
- 26:55Speaker 1: and there, Elliott realized she wants to be with j
- 26:59Speaker 1: D for the rest of her life, but it's not
- 27:02Speaker 1: time yet. And that's why when Sean comes, she's so
- 27:06Speaker 1: easily able from jump. She literally finishes having sex with him,
- 27:11Speaker 1: and then her boyfriend literally walks in the door and
- 27:15Speaker 1: then he swoops her bridal style and she shrugs as
- 27:19Speaker 1: the guy that she already had, like it's not like, oh,
- 27:22Speaker 1: we're just gonna sleep her, like we're but they were
- 27:24Speaker 1: even like sex buddies. They're like in an actual relationship together, Joel,
- 27:29Speaker 1: she's cheating on him. She's cheating on her boyfriend with
- 27:31Speaker 1: her old boyfriend. Joel's right. The semen on the sheets
- 27:36Speaker 1: isn't even dry D because you know, they didn't use
- 27:40Speaker 1: no condoms. They definitely didn't use a condom. They definitely
- 27:44Speaker 1: didn't use a con And then Joel's right, Sean shows
- 27:47Speaker 1: up and it's not She doesn't even give JD a
- 27:50Speaker 1: face like, oh my god, holy shit, hitty. She she's
- 27:54Speaker 1: in his arms, smiling and waving as he carries her away.
- 27:58Speaker 1: That's no fucked up on hold on. First of all,
- 28:01Speaker 1: there's a lot of things that are fucked up with
- 28:03Speaker 1: this situation. First of all, you knocked and then you
- 28:07Speaker 1: open the door. Nobody said come in. First of all,
- 28:11Speaker 1: nobody said come in. One two? How did you know
- 28:15Speaker 1: to find her at freaking j D's house. H right,
- 28:18Speaker 1: she's not at there, She's not at home. She must
- 28:20Speaker 1: be at j D's. What about the mother fucking hospital?
- 28:23Speaker 1: Sean as bullshit happened, And that was some bullshit as Elliott,
- 28:27Speaker 1: whole situation with Elliott in Maybe even in the car
- 28:31Speaker 1: is gonna have sex with Sean? I mean they were
- 28:33Speaker 1: about there, you know. He said, oh my god, you
- 28:36Speaker 1: switched to front season. Yeah, which means he's already was
- 28:38Speaker 1: taken off her shirt. Maybe they're gonna fuck in the hallway.
- 28:41Speaker 1: This has to be a fantasy at j D's. This
- 28:43Speaker 1: is gonna cut to a fantasy at j D's next.
- 28:45Speaker 1: This is real, bro, this is real. I don't know.
- 28:50Speaker 1: I just listen. I listen, I don't. You can be
- 28:52Speaker 1: one can be as promiscuous as you want to be.
- 28:56Speaker 1: That's your right if you're gonna have two different peeps
- 29:00Speaker 1: in you in one day, or as many as you want.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I just think it's pretty sucked up that she A
- 29:05Speaker 1: cheats on her boyfriend, then she knows that JD has
- 29:09Speaker 1: feelings for her. Then when Sean shows up, she's like peace. Later,
- 29:16Speaker 1: I think that JD knows it too deep down inside
- 29:22Speaker 1: at this point, well as A as A as A said, Okay,
- 29:25Speaker 1: how about this hindsight being twenty twenty and knowing how
- 29:27Speaker 1: the whole thing ends. This is a pivotal point in
- 29:31Speaker 1: their relationship. This is the point I feel like Elliott knows. Okay,
- 29:35Speaker 1: Sean's my boyfriend, and I enjoy spending time with him.
- 29:39Speaker 1: But this guy does a little bit more for me
- 29:41Speaker 1: than any man will. And I'm going to spend the
- 29:46Speaker 1: rest of my life with him, but not right now.
- 29:48Speaker 1: It's too soon, or I'm having so much fun. It's
- 29:52Speaker 1: fucking Scott Foley. Look how hot he is. Don't worry,
- 29:56Speaker 1: j D. I'm gonna settle down with you. I know
- 29:57Speaker 1: you love me more than any woman in the world.
- 29:59Speaker 1: But meantime, Scott Foley wants to fuck me in the hallway.
- 30:05Speaker 1: She already gave you some He's getting sloppy seconds. Oh man,
- 30:09Speaker 1: what if he goes down on her and, like Semen,
- 30:11Speaker 1: just falls out on his face. That's mine. Best day ever?
- 30:16Speaker 1: This is this is this is, this is what I
- 30:19Speaker 1: dream about. It's not too much. I don't cut that.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I dream. I dreamed that this happens on television shows,
- 30:26Speaker 1: just so I could be like, best day ever, best
- 30:29Speaker 1: day ever. Oh, you can't beat you can't beat that.
- 30:34Speaker 1: You can't beat that, you can't beat that visual ever ever.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm America, America, the rest of Earth. I'm sorry,
- 30:44Speaker 1: but it did cross my mind. So wait a second,
- 30:49Speaker 1: you think JD is that insensitive? Also, you think JD
- 30:53Speaker 1: was like I'm gonna put a baby in her two
- 30:55Speaker 1: not only not imagine not in my imagination. They probably
- 30:59Speaker 1: didn't use for section and JD I'm sure probably pulled out.
- 31:02Speaker 1: He wasn't trying. He's a doctor, he's intelligent, he's not
- 31:04Speaker 1: trying to. So therefore your you're a little statement about
- 31:07Speaker 1: Seaman falling on his face, Well, what if there's a
- 31:09Speaker 1: world where he knows she's on the pill, their former
- 31:12Speaker 1: lovers u in the heat of the moment, it just happens,
- 31:16Speaker 1: and there's you know as as they just had sex
- 31:21Speaker 1: and all of a sudden the door knocks. If Sean
- 31:23Speaker 1: starts going down on her in the hallway, there could
- 31:27Speaker 1: be a little splash zone. Daniel, do we have to
- 31:35Speaker 1: cut this? No? No, it's rad and explicit for a reason.
- 31:42Speaker 1: All right, explicit they come for this. Let's best if
- 31:45Speaker 1: you're in your mini van. If you're in your minivan
- 31:48Speaker 1: and the kids are in the back seat, I'm sorry, sorry,
- 31:51Speaker 1: a lot of terms to explain. Yes, but we warned
- 31:55Speaker 1: you not to listen in the minivan with the kids
- 31:57Speaker 1: in the back seat. So dude, you just get You
- 32:00Speaker 1: just called it a splash zone. I was laughing. I
- 32:04Speaker 1: was I was working out listening to our podcast, the
- 32:07Speaker 1: one that came out today to listen back to see
- 32:09Speaker 1: if I had any notes, and I'm just cracking up,
- 32:12Speaker 1: and Florence is like it was kind of embarrassing because
- 32:14Speaker 1: Florence like, what are you listening to? And I had
- 32:16Speaker 1: to be, like my podcast and I'm just sitting there
- 32:22Speaker 1: in the gym doing like crunch is cracking up at us.
- 32:27Speaker 1: At least we find it funny, right, Well, look if
- 32:30Speaker 1: we don't laugh, shit, what are we doing? What are
- 32:33Speaker 1: we doing? It's funny at us. All right, so give
- 32:35Speaker 1: me all right now, listen, I have a lot to
- 32:38Speaker 1: say on this episode. It's in some your your performance
- 32:41Speaker 1: is great. You did a very funny job, and I
- 32:44Speaker 1: think it's a very funny episode, and you're particularly funny
- 32:47Speaker 1: in it. There are a couple of weird ass things. Now.
- 32:50Speaker 1: One thing I remember, trivia wise is I had just
- 32:52Speaker 1: gotten back from Sundance and sold Garden State and had
- 32:56Speaker 1: a huge momentous career, life changing moment. Bill, who was
- 33:00Speaker 1: always worried that my head was going to get too big,
- 33:04Speaker 1: decided that the very first scene that I would be
- 33:06Speaker 1: shooting would be in full clown makeup getting sprayed with
- 33:10Speaker 1: a Seltzer bottle. It was. It's actually really funny, though, Man, no,
- 33:15Speaker 1: it's funny. But I remember he even joked about it openly.
- 33:18Speaker 1: He's like, oh yeah, how a suddenance I heard it
- 33:20Speaker 1: went really well. Okay, first scene up, you're in a
- 33:22Speaker 1: clown suit and jatter spranging with Seltzer. Humboo pie. But no,
- 33:30Speaker 1: so it's great. Now. You had said in the last
- 33:32Speaker 1: podcast Donald that you thought I didn't appreciate a nice
- 33:36Speaker 1: big booty, and there was this rare moment that opens
- 33:39Speaker 1: up the show that JD sees a woman with giant bress,
- 33:42Speaker 1: he appreciates them. She turns around, she's got what I
- 33:45Speaker 1: what forty five year old me would tell you right
- 33:47Speaker 1: now is a delicious leap juicy booty, And for some
- 33:51Speaker 1: reason JAD reacts like you, and then we're supposed to believe, Like,
- 33:55Speaker 1: first of all, we're supposed to believe he would find
- 33:57Speaker 1: that woman unattractive in any way and be bullshit, what
- 34:01Speaker 1: was you about her having a juicy booty? I didn't
- 34:03Speaker 1: understand it. There's nothing back, there's nothing too sorry. Let
- 34:06Speaker 1: me just finish the thought. I assumed that what was
- 34:08Speaker 1: going to happen, and maybe it was cut was that
- 34:09Speaker 1: then we'd be in your head. You'd see the exact
- 34:11Speaker 1: same woman and you'd be like, damn, you only comment
- 34:17Speaker 1: on Elliot's but which was weird? Like what Turk's never
- 34:20Speaker 1: seen Elliot's ass before. No, it's just it thinks about it.
- 34:24Speaker 1: I think Turk thinks about that ship all the time though.
- 34:26Speaker 1: It is the thing I think. If anything, I think
- 34:29Speaker 1: this is where I remember you not liking big booties
- 34:32Speaker 1: from then, right, Maybe I evolved because there's nothing wrong
- 34:38Speaker 1: with that young lady's back. There's nothing I don't understand.
- 34:40Speaker 1: I don't understand the point of the joke. Yeah, because
- 34:43Speaker 1: it didn't even have a payoff, no like that. When
- 34:46Speaker 1: when I saw it, I went, Okay, they're gonna make
- 34:48Speaker 1: a black guy, white guy appreciation of butts thing. And
- 34:52Speaker 1: then it would cut to Turk having the vo see
- 34:54Speaker 1: the same woman and be like, oh, and that never happened.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I don't know if that was edited out or but
- 35:00Speaker 1: it didn't have it. It It didn't have a yang do
- 35:01Speaker 1: its yang? You know what I mean? Well, well, I'm
- 35:04Speaker 1: glad that didn't happen, first of all, because that stereotype
- 35:06Speaker 1: no longer holds up. I think everybody appreciates a nice
- 35:09Speaker 1: big button, yes, yes, but the stereotype used to be
- 35:13Speaker 1: that African American males appreciated a large booty more than
- 35:17Speaker 1: Caucasian male. Yeah, we would, just we were just ahead
- 35:20Speaker 1: of you were ahead. Well that that that young woman was,
- 35:28Speaker 1: that young woman was stunning, and every every aspect of
- 35:30Speaker 1: her was stunning. I laughed out loud when I fell
- 35:33Speaker 1: on all the files that I dropped right, that was
- 35:36Speaker 1: a that was a very good, uh set up. It
- 35:40Speaker 1: was very uh what's the word I'm looking for. It
- 35:43Speaker 1: was telegraphed and you saw it coming. Yes, but well done, well,
- 35:48Speaker 1: very well. Made me think about you know, in two
- 35:50Speaker 1: thousand and four when this was made, that things were
- 35:53Speaker 1: still that paper based. You know, now all that's computerized.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Imagine I think I would hope so right, maybe not,
- 36:02Speaker 1: I don't even know I remember, I mean, but I imagine,
- 36:05Speaker 1: but I remember thinking, like, imagine dropping all those files
- 36:08Speaker 1: and all that being fucked up and then he fucking
- 36:12Speaker 1: falls on it. That was funny, very it was very funny.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I don't think that joke holds up as far as
- 36:17Speaker 1: the technology, but as far as well executed and the
- 36:23Speaker 1: droppage of the paper, and it's like classic. It's like
- 36:28Speaker 1: a number one joke telling you know what I mean,
- 36:31Speaker 1: Like there's you know what I mean, it's it's good jokes.
- 36:34Speaker 1: We just we just I slipped first of all. The
- 36:36Speaker 1: sound effect of the slip was funny, and then crash,
- 36:39Speaker 1: and then I just get right back up like nothing happened.
- 36:41Speaker 1: I leave like one hundred and whatever five hundred files
- 36:45Speaker 1: on the ground that people's private documents, right all of
- 36:48Speaker 1: their all of the right right right right all of
- 36:51Speaker 1: your patient doctor confidentiality whatever, whatever it is the window. Now,
- 36:56Speaker 1: is this Lonnie's first appearance as my intern? I don't know,
- 37:01Speaker 1: I know he it's it's not his first appearance on
- 37:03Speaker 1: the show because he's in the pilot. Yes, for those
- 37:05Speaker 1: of you who don't recall that bit of trivia, Mike Hobert,
- 37:11Speaker 1: who was the little brother of Tim Hobert, one of
- 37:14Speaker 1: our great writers, played the pizza delivery guy in the
- 37:19Speaker 1: MRI machine or a Cat's cam machine whenever it was
- 37:22Speaker 1: in the pilot. When when when Turk jokingly says I
- 37:25Speaker 1: love you and and now he's back. Now, do you
- 37:30Speaker 1: think that that pizza delivery guy went to know he
- 37:33Speaker 1: couldn't have gone to med school that quickly because it's
- 37:36Speaker 1: only been three years later. So it's one of those
- 37:39Speaker 1: experiences of of of a unless he was already in school.
- 37:44Speaker 1: And that's true. That's I like. I like that explanation better.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Lonnie is is Lonnie was paying for med school delivering
- 37:56Speaker 1: pizzas and and and and now he's Jad's intern. But
- 38:02Speaker 1: this is the first time he is yea, this is
- 38:04Speaker 1: the first time he's linning the intern. Okay, uh, let's
- 38:10Speaker 1: talk about Carlin not being funny. This is something that
- 38:12Speaker 1: Judy would talk about all the time. Yeah, Judy wanted
- 38:16Speaker 1: it more comedy, and Bill was always like, no, you're
- 38:19Speaker 1: like the heart of the show. You're like that you
- 38:20Speaker 1: really she's everyone. And she was like, fuck that shit,
- 38:22Speaker 1: I want jokes, right, So he gave her a joke
- 38:26Speaker 1: and then made it so that she wasn't funny. She
- 38:29Speaker 1: gave her a joke and the joke was that she
- 38:31Speaker 1: wasn't funny. It so fucked up. That's like Machiavellian shit, Like, okay,
- 38:37Speaker 1: you know what you joke is that you're not funny.
- 38:45Speaker 1: That's pretty funny. Let's what about what about j D?
- 38:48Speaker 1: I mean, in what world would JD have the balls, audacity,
- 38:52Speaker 1: disrespects to be trying to get trying to get it
- 38:55Speaker 1: was I think it was a golfers trying to get
- 38:57Speaker 1: it in LaVerne's cleavage, Like, in what world is that happened?
- 39:03Speaker 1: But that fantasy where she daggles me is hilarious. She
- 39:06Speaker 1: gets up on the god they would make Aloma do
- 39:08Speaker 1: some crazy shit. Yeah, yeah, she she randy macho man,
- 39:13Speaker 1: savage elbow drops you. I mean she had a don't
- 39:16Speaker 1: get me wrong, Aloma had a good stunt double. But
- 39:18Speaker 1: they but they, but Aloma was game to do like
- 39:21Speaker 1: the Okay, Aloma, you're gonna get up and jump on
- 39:24Speaker 1: these mats. She was down the right, let's go, let's cut.
- 39:31Speaker 1: You know this episode when this, this whole episode reminded
- 39:35Speaker 1: me when I was a kid, I was like, I
- 39:37Speaker 1: want this to be like the corn Pops commercial for me,
- 39:40Speaker 1: because those commercials were always really dope. It was awesome
- 39:44Speaker 1: that you did the voiceover for the show and everything,
- 39:48Speaker 1: but I didn't want to sound like you, you know
- 39:50Speaker 1: what I mean. More than anything, what I wanted to
- 39:52Speaker 1: do was I want to make it sound different. I
- 39:54Speaker 1: wanted to be if I were, you know, on the
- 39:57Speaker 1: show and the one thing that I grew up loving.
- 40:01Speaker 1: And I think maybe that's why my voice is so
- 40:03Speaker 1: energetic when I'm doing the voice over and stuff. And
- 40:06Speaker 1: I always wanted to be in it, and none of
- 40:09Speaker 1: my I never got to be in it, but all
- 40:11Speaker 1: of my friends, like Duley was in one. A young
- 40:14Speaker 1: lady by the name of Chinnana from my neighborhood was
- 40:17Speaker 1: in one with the corn Pops commercials. You're talking about
- 40:20Speaker 1: gotta have my pops. I gotta have my pops. Dude,
- 40:24Speaker 1: I wanted to be in one of those commercials so bad, right, Yeah,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and so when this came about, I was like, Yo,
- 40:30Speaker 1: this is my gotta have my Pops moment. And so
- 40:33Speaker 1: that's all. You were very funny, and you didn't You
- 40:36Speaker 1: definitely did put your own spin on it. You didn't
- 40:39Speaker 1: you know, you didn't do like the oh, I'm just
- 40:41Speaker 1: gonna do JD's version of it. I thought you made
- 40:43Speaker 1: it your own. Yeah, I tried to. Now, all of
- 40:45Speaker 1: a sudden, there's a mailbox in the middle of the
- 40:47Speaker 1: parking lot, which which is like the weirdest, like, why
- 40:50Speaker 1: not put the mailbox in a place that we have
- 40:53Speaker 1: not established as I mean that's basically a parking spot. Yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 1: I mean when you finally do mail the invitation is
- 41:00Speaker 1: at the end, it wobbles, like, come on, guys, now,
- 41:06Speaker 1: did you pick up the IT references in this episode? No,
- 41:10Speaker 1: because I hadn't seen it at the time. No, I'm
- 41:13Speaker 1: saying now I didn't even I've never seen it even
- 41:16Speaker 1: the latest incarnation. But well, there's there's both clowns. There's
- 41:21Speaker 1: both clowns and Judy hiding in the mailbox. A law
- 41:25Speaker 1: of the sewer thing. Well that reference does remind me
- 41:29Speaker 1: of it? That did remind me of it. And the
- 41:31Speaker 1: clowns I didn't put the clown I didn't either. Scrubs
- 41:34Speaker 1: wiki yeaow. Good job, Good job, Trevor. So some of
- 41:37Speaker 1: this is written by Mark Stegman, a very funny man,
- 41:41Speaker 1: and somewhere I mean, I'm assuming it might just be
- 41:44Speaker 1: a coincidence, but I'm it might be some many people
- 41:48Speaker 1: read it. Speaking of reading it, I want to just
- 41:50Speaker 1: digress for one moment, because remember last week we were
- 41:52Speaker 1: talking about wish I was here, And I think because
- 41:55Speaker 1: we talked about wish I was here, a lot of
- 41:57Speaker 1: people finally watched it. It's on Netflix. If you weren't
- 42:00Speaker 1: one of those people, but a woman wrote a comment
- 42:04Speaker 1: that really moved me, and I want to read it
- 42:07Speaker 1: to you, guys, because it's it's it's a perfect example
- 42:10Speaker 1: of you as an artist. You put something out there
- 42:13Speaker 1: and then people experience it in completely unique ways. And
- 42:18Speaker 1: you and I were I was saying to you on
- 42:20Speaker 1: the podcast that aired today that there was no love story,
- 42:24Speaker 1: and this woman on my Instagram wrote, wish I was
- 42:27Speaker 1: here was one hundred percent a love story. Love for
- 42:31Speaker 1: his art, love for himself, love for his dad, redefining
- 42:35Speaker 1: the relationship with his wife, redefining self respect, his wife
- 42:39Speaker 1: redefining her own self respect, love for his kids. Every
- 42:44Speaker 1: single relationship and character is exploring what it means to
- 42:47Speaker 1: have love. Oh wow, And I was like, that made
- 42:53Speaker 1: my day. She watched your movie better than you watched
- 42:56Speaker 1: your own. Now she saw some thing that I didn't. Now,
- 43:01Speaker 1: of course I read that, and I go, yes, you're right,
- 43:04Speaker 1: of course, and I did comment. I said, well, said,
- 43:06Speaker 1: that's amazing. But my point is is that there's that's
- 43:11Speaker 1: just so cool to me that I put that out there.
- 43:13Speaker 1: I say something like, well, there's no love story, and
- 43:15Speaker 1: someone who the film meant a lot too, is like, oh,
- 43:18Speaker 1: I disagree. It is about love. It's not. It may
- 43:20Speaker 1: not be about romantic love, but it's about love anyway.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I wanted to share that because you, you listening, may
- 43:27Speaker 1: not think that we see the nice things you say
- 43:32Speaker 1: and the and the mean things you say, and we don't.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Occasionally some weeks I don't read any of it. But
- 43:35Speaker 1: some weeks I do read it, and I love that,
- 43:38Speaker 1: and it meant a lot to me. You know, I
- 43:40Speaker 1: always see the mean shit the nice shit always, for
- 43:43Speaker 1: some reason, just goes over my head. You probably do
- 43:46Speaker 1: what a lot of people in the public eye do.
- 43:48Speaker 1: You just scroll for the mean thing, like where's the
- 43:51Speaker 1: motherfucker that hates me? What I used to do? And
- 43:53Speaker 1: then I stew over it, I write something back to that.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Now what you do is you scroll through nice things
- 44:00Speaker 1: to find one mean thing and then you click on
- 44:04Speaker 1: that guy's link and just like look at him, and
- 44:06Speaker 1: then I wanted I signed them up. It's like I
- 44:11Speaker 1: wonder if I could beat this one. Sarah Silverman posted
- 44:13Speaker 1: this thing. Uh, I mean, you cannot believe the shit
- 44:17Speaker 1: this guy was writing on her Instagram. She's screenshot if
- 44:19Speaker 1: you if you're listening, go to Sarry Silverman's Instagram page
- 44:22Speaker 1: if you want, and it would be you know, from
- 44:25Speaker 1: you know, roughly the beginning of the year, and this
- 44:28Speaker 1: guy wrote the most graphic, horrific fucking shit to her.
- 44:32Speaker 1: And then so she, like like a lot of people,
- 44:35Speaker 1: was curious. She clicked on his thing and his thing
- 44:37Speaker 1: is like Dad Christianity, like like like like believe believing,
- 44:44Speaker 1: you know, set your goals and you can achieve your dreams.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Oh my god. The shitty road to her was like
- 44:50Speaker 1: I won't even say what he wrote to her. It's
- 44:52Speaker 1: so bad. I'm just gonna say. Some of the most
- 44:57Speaker 1: vile and inhumane people will out there hide behind religion
- 45:02Speaker 1: as they're freaking why they're a good person, but then
- 45:06Speaker 1: when they step out say some of the most evil
- 45:09Speaker 1: things you could ever say, and then say, but I'm
- 45:11Speaker 1: a Christian. That shit is Oh my god. It doesn't
- 45:14Speaker 1: make me upset because you know, to eat your own
- 45:16Speaker 1: you are who you are, and you do what you do,
- 45:18Speaker 1: whatever whatever. But I always find that really interesting. Take
- 45:21Speaker 1: the Proverbs quote out of your bio if you're a
- 45:24Speaker 1: fucking asshole, right, like, come on, man, because like generally like, okay,
- 45:29Speaker 1: so let's say you're not a religious person, et cetera,
- 45:32Speaker 1: et cetera. But if you listen and you were to read,
- 45:35Speaker 1: you know, the Bible, or you were to read the Koran,
- 45:38Speaker 1: or you were to read the Torah, the message that's
- 45:44Speaker 1: given is a positive message. And so it's like, well,
- 45:48Speaker 1: why not Why wouldn't you want to live that way?
- 45:50Speaker 1: Why didn't wouldn't you want to be a happy person
- 45:52Speaker 1: and treat people with kindness and be of love and
- 45:55Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and and and and and
- 45:58Speaker 1: and believe in a higher purpose and power. So the
- 46:02Speaker 1: people that I believe that and then walk out into
- 46:04Speaker 1: the street and say some of the things that they
- 46:05Speaker 1: say about other people in their religion and other people
- 46:08Speaker 1: in there, you know, beliefs and other people. It's just like,
- 46:11Speaker 1: oh my God, how can you freaking then go back
- 46:13Speaker 1: home and say all praises due to Allah or praise
- 46:17Speaker 1: be to Jesus, or you know what I mean. I
- 46:20Speaker 1: heard Garcetti say on the news this weekend that in
- 46:24Speaker 1: Los Angeles every six seconds someone knew gets COVID nineteen.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Not only that one in five people tested has COVID
- 46:34Speaker 1: nineteen in Los Angeles. Yeah, that's a scary thought. There
- 46:39Speaker 1: are five, there are more than five people living in
- 46:42Speaker 1: my household. And I had to explain to my kids, no, no, no, no, no,
- 46:46Speaker 1: that's not what it means. It doesn't mean, you know,
- 46:49Speaker 1: every five people in America has COVID. It means if
- 46:53Speaker 1: you're tested, most likely every five people in it. The
- 46:57Speaker 1: statistics say that every five one in five people has it.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I can't believe there's still shooting things. I mean, the industry,
- 47:03Speaker 1: with the industry would say, you know, we test every morning.
- 47:07Speaker 1: People learn faiths and shields and we don't want to
- 47:10Speaker 1: shut down this economy. I don't see how we can
- 47:13Speaker 1: go back to work. I don't, well, do they shut
- 47:15Speaker 1: SAG and the other unions shut down commercial production, but
- 47:19Speaker 1: film production and TV production is still happening. I mean,
- 47:23Speaker 1: I feel like it's unsustainable. They we'll see, we'll see
- 47:27Speaker 1: what happens when test. We're at a point where you
- 47:28Speaker 1: should just not even be I mean, unless you're going
- 47:31Speaker 1: to the grocery store. Yeah, you shouldn't be around anyone.
- 47:35Speaker 1: You're absolutely but it's we're at that point. Are you
- 47:38Speaker 1: surprised that film production is still going? Yeah, No, I don't.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I don't. I don't necessarily want to comment on that,
- 47:44Speaker 1: but I do want to comment on the fact why
- 47:46Speaker 1: you're worried somebody's gonna hire you, Like, oh, you know what,
- 47:48Speaker 1: Donald talk shit? I don't want to Hill never talk shit. Well, no,
- 47:54Speaker 1: if dule gets a job over me, so be it.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Man Duley is I love Duley and he deserves some
- 47:59Speaker 1: director was like, you know, I was about to hire
- 48:01Speaker 1: Donald for this giant dot job I'm doing, and he
- 48:04Speaker 1: was talking shit about why film production is still happen
- 48:06Speaker 1: in La. So I hired La you're welcome to lay
- 48:13Speaker 1: your welcome. You're welcome to know. But yeah, I just
- 48:20Speaker 1: I don't see how it's possible. I don't think. I
- 48:22Speaker 1: think once they start doing the testing and stuff again,
- 48:24Speaker 1: and crew members and stuff are starting to come back positive,
- 48:28Speaker 1: because that's what's gonna happen. When they start testing, is
- 48:31Speaker 1: when you will know again if the if the industry
- 48:34Speaker 1: will open up, when the first time they go tests
- 48:37Speaker 1: and ten people from the cast are asymptomatic, or ten
- 48:41Speaker 1: people from the crew or whatever it is are asymptomatic
- 48:45Speaker 1: and have tested positive, that's when they'll be like, oh shit,
- 48:48Speaker 1: uh we need because that's what's happening right now. At
- 48:52Speaker 1: least that's what the news is saying. And you're right,
- 48:54Speaker 1: you know, I'm I'm taking it from the news, and
- 48:57Speaker 1: you know, Denzel says it best. If you don't read
- 49:00Speaker 1: the news, you're not informed, and if you watch the
- 49:02Speaker 1: news or read the news, you're misinformed. So you know,
- 49:06Speaker 1: I don't know what the exact number is, but well
- 49:09Speaker 1: we do know that Garcetti, our mayor, did say that
- 49:12Speaker 1: every six seconds in Los Angeles someone's getting COVID. I'm
- 49:17Speaker 1: just saying, no, who, you know, there are that's like
- 49:20Speaker 1: zombie apocalypse numbers. Dude, it is speaking of zombie That's
- 49:24Speaker 1: what Kobe was talking about today. Kobe was like, dude,
- 49:27Speaker 1: if the zombie apocalypse happened right now, America's done for man,
- 49:31Speaker 1: all these other places might do better than we are
- 49:33Speaker 1: because we fucking keep fucking. All we do is just go.
- 49:36Speaker 1: We just keep fucking up. This is zombie apocalypse. We
- 49:38Speaker 1: wouldn't stay in and we're away from the zombies. We
- 49:43Speaker 1: don't make some money with us. I know this is
- 49:46Speaker 1: our test, this is our zombie apocalypse test, and we've
- 49:49Speaker 1: really failed. I do want to speak to zombie apocalyps.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I want to give a shout out to two podcasts. Now,
- 49:55Speaker 1: you should never listen to another podcast before you listen
- 49:57Speaker 1: to this one. Agreed. But and I took a road
- 50:01Speaker 1: trip and up to the North Bay and binged two
- 50:06Speaker 1: podcasts that were amazing. One is called Chameleon the Hollywood
- 50:10Speaker 1: con Queen, which is this true story of a woman
- 50:15Speaker 1: who is conning film production people and making them fly
- 50:20Speaker 1: to Indonesia and taking their money. But it's fascinating. And
- 50:25Speaker 1: then the other one we binged for the road trip.
- 50:28Speaker 1: If you're if you're going on the long road trip
- 50:29Speaker 1: or even by the way, since I was trying to
- 50:31Speaker 1: inspire everyone to exercise. Podcasts again after you've listened to
- 50:35Speaker 1: this one are great for just getting on the treadmill
- 50:38Speaker 1: or walking around your neighborhood or whatever. The other one
- 50:40Speaker 1: we binged was oh called Dirty John, which is now
- 50:47Speaker 1: I believe a TV show which we're gonna watch. But
- 50:51Speaker 1: this was the La Times reporting on this guy. And
- 50:56Speaker 1: I don't want to ruin anything, but both of those
- 50:59Speaker 1: are as binge worthy as your favorite TV show. Donald,
- 51:03Speaker 1: I laughed out loud when Carl's in the mailbox and
- 51:05Speaker 1: she starts pulling you in and you did your I
- 51:10Speaker 1: think this is where the Donald Fason scream came from.
- 51:12Speaker 1: I think that's where Donald screams that. I first saw
- 51:15Speaker 1: it on Clueless when you're in the when you're in
- 51:16Speaker 1: the jeep knowing the gem, I go ah, I screamed
- 51:19Speaker 1: like A. I screamed like A. I don't scream with
- 51:21Speaker 1: the high pitch. I don't do that scream. Oh. I
- 51:24Speaker 1: think this is the first time. Anyway, it's hilarious. There's
- 51:27Speaker 1: something so funny about you doing that face and screaming.
- 51:30Speaker 1: It makes me laugh. It was funny, And I don't
- 51:33Speaker 1: think Judy was really in the mailbox when we're doing that,
- 51:36Speaker 1: so I'm pretending that I'm being grabbed by someone, right.
- 51:39Speaker 1: It would have been a lot funnier if you ask me,
- 51:42Speaker 1: if I could if there was a hand that pulled
- 51:44Speaker 1: out when I pulled away, that came out and then
- 51:47Speaker 1: pulled me back in. But you know, not so much. Well,
- 51:50Speaker 1: the mailbox was I mean, I don't know why who.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I really don't remember this director, but I don't I
- 51:55Speaker 1: don't agree with his choice of just putting a mailbox
- 51:58Speaker 1: randomly in a parking lot that everyone who knows the
- 52:01Speaker 1: show knows. I mean, there was no mailbox there. It
- 52:05Speaker 1: was recently added. Okay, we're gonna take a break, and
- 52:08Speaker 1: when we come back, we have lots more to talk about,
- 52:10Speaker 1: and we have a beautiful fan who better be in
- 52:12Speaker 1: a onesie because the guy last week really set the
- 52:14Speaker 1: bar high wearing. All right, we'll be right back and
- 52:25Speaker 1: we're I don't know, in light of today's conversation, if
- 52:34Speaker 1: we should do the gurgle joke. Okay, that's gurgle, gurgo.
- 52:42Speaker 1: San's gonna be like gegel gurgle Elliott, Alright, that's too much.
- 52:48Speaker 1: It's so gross. Alright, gurgel, gurgel. Listen, have you ever
- 52:53Speaker 1: not laughed when you say the word pianist. I'm forty five.
- 52:56Speaker 1: We still giggle at the word pianist. Laughs at that.
- 53:00Speaker 1: It's hard to slapped at you trying to at JD.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Jumping Jones Creek. That was hilarious. That was really funny.
- 53:06Speaker 1: How much how far did you make it? Well, I'm
- 53:07Speaker 1: not exactly sure in terms of a feet and inches,
- 53:09Speaker 1: but let's just say halfway. First of all, Jumping Jones Creek.
- 53:18Speaker 1: This is the weirdest storyline for j D. He has
- 53:21Speaker 1: some free time. Okay, this is this is j D's storyline.
- 53:25Speaker 1: He was thought he was going to be working with
- 53:27Speaker 1: doctor Cox on a on a project on a paper.
- 53:30Speaker 1: He's relieved of his duties because Lonnie takes over. So
- 53:33Speaker 1: he has enough free time that he's hanging out with
- 53:35Speaker 1: teenagers and on a biker skateboard, a bike, a bike
- 53:41Speaker 1: and it's like the Simpsons when he jumps the canyon,
- 53:43Speaker 1: JD's gonna jump Jones Creeks, Yeah, and the kids are
- 53:48Speaker 1: all amping him up and calling him a whimp. Right,
- 53:51Speaker 1: So he first he stopped by the hospital Yeah, he's
- 53:54Speaker 1: got his helmet on, he's got his pads on, and
- 53:57Speaker 1: then and then he and then he only made it
- 54:00Speaker 1: halfway over the Greek. Right, It's so stupid. It's like
- 54:04Speaker 1: it's it's like a cartoon. It is a cartoon. This
- 54:06Speaker 1: is what we're talking about. This was a time, This
- 54:08Speaker 1: was at the time where the show really started to
- 54:10Speaker 1: become like a cartoon where it was like, dude, we
- 54:13Speaker 1: are We're starting to say things and do things that
- 54:15Speaker 1: don't I think end of the end of season three,
- 54:18Speaker 1: I think they were like, how far can we can
- 54:21Speaker 1: we push the wackiness and the stunners craziness. Yeah, to
- 54:25Speaker 1: the point where we eventually get to you as a
- 54:27Speaker 1: goat goat turk. But that's bad. I don't know what
- 54:31Speaker 1: season that was, but that's one of the carry Russell episodes. Yeah,
- 54:36Speaker 1: all right, stay away from my woman, goat turk, My bad, bad.
- 54:41Speaker 1: All right. Elliott is shocked that missus Dawson is hot
- 54:45Speaker 1: with an unattractive husband. That's pretty judgmental of her. Why,
- 54:48Speaker 1: I mean, what the fuck? Ah, I don't, I don't,
- 54:53Speaker 1: you know. I think nowadays it's you know, this has
- 54:56Speaker 1: been something that's always been an issue for I guess
- 55:02Speaker 1: uh people people like when you really think about it,
- 55:08Speaker 1: because it is shocking because you you know, in the
- 55:13Speaker 1: words of Woody Allen, the heart wants what the heart wants,
- 55:16Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Well he said that after
- 55:18Speaker 1: he fell in love with his stepdaughter. But yeah, but
- 55:21Speaker 1: you know exactly what I'm talking about. Who a person
- 55:24Speaker 1: falls in love with. This who a person falls in
- 55:26Speaker 1: love with, and it is nobody's unless it breaks laws,
- 55:31Speaker 1: unless it breaks laws and breaks you know what I mean,
- 55:33Speaker 1: and and and causes harm to people. You know, who
- 55:39Speaker 1: I love is who I love. Dude. You can't people
- 55:41Speaker 1: do when there's a very person, whether it's the man
- 55:44Speaker 1: or the woman. And it's not just that, it's other
- 55:47Speaker 1: things too. It's races, it's freaking it's there, this list, this, this, this,
- 55:52Speaker 1: But let's just focus on the thing that Scrubs is
- 55:54Speaker 1: talking about, which it's no but I'm saying it's nobody's business.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Bombshell of a woman and then her sort of short, nerdy, heavyweight,
- 56:02Speaker 1: you know, not you know, traditionally universally attractive husband walks
- 56:07Speaker 1: in and Elliott is shocked. Yeah, that's the plot point.
- 56:11Speaker 1: That's the plot point. That doesn't make sense to me nowadays.
- 56:14Speaker 1: Maybe it did back then, and I forget that it
- 56:17Speaker 1: did back then, But nowadays it's like yo, you you
- 56:21Speaker 1: know when first of all, when you marry somebody, they
- 56:24Speaker 1: don't look like they look you know, ten years later,
- 56:28Speaker 1: you know, I don't. I don't know how you could
- 56:31Speaker 1: use this as a as a form of comedy. I
- 56:36Speaker 1: think people could do this joke now you were talking
- 56:38Speaker 1: about last time, about punching down and all that stuff.
- 56:41Speaker 1: I wonder if a comedy would do this joke today.
- 56:48Speaker 1: Where where is it funny? Though? But where is it funny? Well,
- 56:53Speaker 1: the joke is the joke of the show, which leads
- 56:56Speaker 1: to her saying, what's your secret? And she and she
- 56:58Speaker 1: gives her the plot, the plot device of Oh I
- 57:02Speaker 1: just want someone. I don't care. You know, all I
- 57:04Speaker 1: care about is that I found the guy who's there
- 57:06Speaker 1: whenever I need him, and I love him, love, blah
- 57:08Speaker 1: blah blah. But I wonder in today's climate, if you
- 57:11Speaker 1: would do a story that's that at the heart of
- 57:14Speaker 1: it was Wow, it's shocking how unattractive her partner is.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I mean, probably a fool story. But if you think
- 57:22Speaker 1: about every adult animating cartoon is that plotline essentially absolutely
- 57:27Speaker 1: In margin family Guy, Yeah, bos Burgers has it a
- 57:33Speaker 1: little bit sometimes on the Linda is much more of
- 57:35Speaker 1: a down to earth mom than most of the other
- 57:37Speaker 1: cartoon moms. But but it's like that with all of them,
- 57:40Speaker 1: you could go back from my dream of Genie to
- 57:43Speaker 1: freaking Uh, those weren't Those weren't bewitched? Those weren't I mean,
- 57:47Speaker 1: I guess you could say that the traditional these are
- 57:50Speaker 1: guys king of queens when you look at it, dating
- 57:53Speaker 1: way out of your league. Every and every sitcom it's
- 57:56Speaker 1: like that though the dad is dating is somehow way
- 58:00Speaker 1: out of his league, whether it be not only and
- 58:05Speaker 1: not only physically physical attributes, but mental attributes also. But yet,
- 58:11Speaker 1: you know, I think you guys are missing my point, right,
- 58:13Speaker 1: Those are just examples of like, of course they put
- 58:15Speaker 1: the shlovy guy with the hot white My point is, uh,
- 58:19Speaker 1: in today's climate where people are are are being more
- 58:23Speaker 1: sensitive to people's feelings and quote unquote punching down. If
- 58:29Speaker 1: you if that's the right term, would you would you
- 58:32Speaker 1: do a joke that's about like, oh my god, I
- 58:34Speaker 1: can't believe how ugly her husband is. I mean, I
- 58:36Speaker 1: don't know I just, I just I don't think so, yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 1: I just don't think that. I don't think that joke
- 58:42Speaker 1: is funny anymore. I think it's humor at the expense
- 58:44Speaker 1: of someone else in and with a you know, a
- 58:47Speaker 1: situation that is out of their control, you know, right,
- 58:51Speaker 1: because like it's it's clear, it's clear that Brad Pitt
- 58:53Speaker 1: didn't do it for the young lady we meet in
- 58:56Speaker 1: an hour and a half of we made it in
- 58:57Speaker 1: an hour with that. You bring it up, Brad Pitt, Well,
- 59:00Speaker 1: I just know you love him. I do, but I
- 59:01Speaker 1: feel like you have. I feel like my crush is
- 59:03Speaker 1: rubbing off on you. No, I still love I still
- 59:07Speaker 1: love Leo. All right, should is the guy still out
- 59:11Speaker 1: out here? Let's invite the guests in all Let's welcome
- 59:14Speaker 1: them to our to our home high to Santana Gully,
- 59:18Speaker 1: Santana Gully Santana. That yeah, teletherapy. So his name is
- 59:37Speaker 1: like saved in there Forever, Courtney and Keisha, listen, everyone's favorite,
- 59:53Speaker 1: every guest favorite part of the being on the show
- 59:56Speaker 1: is getting their Oprah voice from Donald. So we don't
- 59:59Speaker 1: we don't want to. I want to make sure you
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: get it right. I hear everybody else's, you know, introductions.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I hear you guys doing the random names. I'm waiting
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: for the random Courtney. But I guess Courtney is a
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: random enough yet, Courtney. Let's shout out Courtney, y'all, shout
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: out all the courts and Courtney's one of those names.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Courtey's one of those means you can have both for
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: men and females, male and females, so to Courtney's of
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: all genders. Yes, Hi, guys, what's going on? Guy in
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the show? Where are you? Where are you? Where are
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you calling from? All right enough to be on here.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: We're in a Phoenix Arizona Beatnix, Arizona with the baby
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and the back. I need you to say, right right now,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: that's my life. Right now. Come get these kids because
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: they bat Ain't nobody coming to get your kids? Are
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: young kids. I got kids already. I ain't going to
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: get your kids. Oh my god, what a beautiful Hello Sebastion, Sebastion, baby,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: say what's up? Say hi, what's up? Sebastian? Hey, beautiful hair, Sebastian.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Sebastian has beautiful hair. No, we appreciate you guys having us.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: This is uh this is awesome. It's pretty surreal. Well,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I know I'm actually the Scrubs fan in the house.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: We are both the Scrubs fans in the house. I'm
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: the I'm the bigger, better one, but you know we
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: appreciate you. All right, Guys, do you have a question
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: after all this fun introduction, Yes, we do. So. Like
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I said, I'm trying to put us on and I
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: already like do the longing thing and kind of like
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: social media stuff. So I keep telling him, like I
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: won't ever get life say this ever again. But he's
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: kind of funny. He's kind of funny, Guys, Explain funny
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: because you know that down real quick. Sometimes he says
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: funny things like, oh, and so I'm telling him, I
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: said we could do something together. We can work together.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: She bakes something funny. Now she thought we was funny funny.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Well we met and now she don't think I'm funny ever.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: She's just doing this. I'm telling him we could just
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: to work together a podcast something, and he just won't
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: let me have my dream. He won't. He won't work
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: with me. And we met through work, so I don't
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: know why he won't work with me anymore. So Wait,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: what's your question is? Is this fix your life? Can
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: you give me some advice? How can I get this? Man? Oh,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: we got to fix your life already. Okay, all right,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: let's start with fix your life. Hold on, we need
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: our fix your Life music. It's time to fix your lie.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: All right, you're at the right place, guys, because we
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: can tell you how to work together. You want to
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: work together, and it's very easy. You need to have
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: someone who's gonna take care of those children for you
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: while you take an hour and a half. Do you
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: have someone who can help out? Nope? I mean you
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: could work it out, or you can do while they're sleeping. Yes.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: If I was you, guys, I would. It's very easy
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: to just hurt. I mean, just do it. Put your
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: phone on the record and sit down and have a conversation.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: Give yourself a couple of promps, like things that you
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: guys both find funny. You know what I mean, the
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: same stuff. So if you said, all right, we're going
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: to talk about these ten areas that make us both
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: laugh and then just start talking, you don't have to
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: mean this is in the example of collaborating for a podcast.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: You don't have to worry about if it's all good
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: because you can edit it down. But if you guys,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: if you have areas, like the perfect example is Joel
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and Donald have an area that they find interesting, star Wars.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: They can go off and talk about Star Wars for
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: hours and hours and hours. Now if you and your
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: husband have like, oh my god, we find these subjects
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: funny and this makes us laugh. And we have a
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: unique perspective because we're parents. We can talk about it
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: from a parenting point of view, we can talk about
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: it from a phoenix point of view. You know, all
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the other aspects of your life, and then just riff,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: just talk like you do and crack each other up.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: And then of course you'll want to go back and
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: edit out the slow parts or edit out the stuff
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: that wasn't funny. But bam, there's your first episode. See Joel,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: you're a you're a producer. Give them more advice. Yes,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: as you guys work together, don't be afraid if your
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: first pilot is not great. Donald and I recorded two
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: or three pilots before we got it right. I feel
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: like there's uh not everybody has a fortune of having
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: the Zack and Donald like banter back and forth that's
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: very easy to follow. So instead of trying to make
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: it perfect from the get I would say, make it
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: something that you enjoy doing and coming back to because
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: a lot of people are like, oh, podcasts it's easy.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: It's not easy. It's it's actual work, especially by the
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: time you're in the fiftieth or sixteenth episode and you're like, gosh,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: talk about the same stuff today. So making something that
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you guys enjoy doing. And I think you're fortunate that
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: it's a couple like you guys are a couple and
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: you get to like set aside time and you can
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: make it a fun thing instead of something that's a
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: chore and then something you enjoyed doing for like a
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: long time hopefully. Yeah, And it's a great way. I
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: love that you guys want to do it. It's a
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: great way to uh communicate also and talk about and
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: talk about things that you wouldn't necessarily talk about, uh
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: when the microphone isn't recording you. You know, Uh, there's
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: there's something really freeing and uh liberating about being behind
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: a microphone and talking to your best friend and uh
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: and uh you know, expressing yourself and you wind up
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: saying things that you necessarily wouldn't say because one you're
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: showing off for the audience. One even though you mean it,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you're and two you have a platform to say it now.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: And so, uh, there's an and that's kind of what's happened.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Like listening to your show, there'll be times with sitting
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: back and like he'll start cracking up as something you
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: guys have said, and I'm just like, I don't think
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: that was really funny. He's like, because you didn't get it,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: because this is what happens. And so but that's good.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: By the way, I always find, you know, when we
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: when we have fuck ups here or we're talking to
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: the behind the scenes stuff, we we for the most
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: part keep it in because people, I think find that interesting.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: If I was if I was producing a podcast with
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: a funny couple like I can already tell you guys
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: are and then you and then ship got serious and
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: it got into like a real heart to heart about
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: something in your life, I would I would lean in.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: I'd be more interested. There's a great there's a great podcast.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Actually it was the podcast that started there was the
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: inspiration for the show. I did. Alex Sink and the
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Alex who was the star of his podcast first season
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: of a startup. He would record, like his real conversations
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: with his wife when when shit was heated and and
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: she knew satan it wasn't doing it so secretly, but
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: but when they would get into it, he'd be like, Babe,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: this is sorry, this is part of the podcast. I
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: gotta record, and she would she was begrudgingly. She'd be like,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: all right, well then let's have it out. And it
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: was fascinating. It was really good. All right, good, I'm
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: glad to hear that. So I cannot now that you've
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: co signed, Donnie, I'm sure gonna be on board because
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: we can't wait to listen. Courtney, do you have a
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: question for us? Because I know you were on kid Patrol,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: do you have a question for us? Ask how about that?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, all right, they're switching. Oh I wanted
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: to hear that. You're gonna listen to it back? Yeah,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I got it back. I wanted to hear that. So
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: we were also discussing if you guys have the chance
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: to be on a reality show together, like which show
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Amazing Race, we donald have to be Amazing Race, be
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: Amazing Race. That would be a good one Amazing Race
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: because Donald will be good with the athletic aspects. I
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: not now not, I'd be good with the planning. You'd
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: have to listen to me. Shoo. I'd be like, we're
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: catching that bus. Run run, run, like I'd be good
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: with the planning if you're counting on me for athletics
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: right now, Oh buddy, no you The thing that would
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: get us both would be the puzzles. And if you
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: ever watch Amazing Race, but all of a sudden, they're like,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: solve this puzzle to win the next thing, and then
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I can never solve the puzzle, and I'm like, oh,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I'd be I'd be lasting that puzzle. What other reality
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: show will be gone? I would love to be like
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: on real role, you would fucking win Dancing with the Stars.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: He would win, Donald would win, or something like that.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Donald would win Dancing with the Star. No, no, no, no, no, no, yeah,
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: my my, the ultimate, the ultimate one Dancing with the Stars. Already,
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: there is no need for another black man to ever
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: be on Dancing with the Stars. After Alfonso Verberro has
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: shared down, it is shut down. It is a rap
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: for anyone else. Listen, I don't care who you are
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: if you were on a sitcom ever in the history
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: of sitcoms, and you are African American, there's no need
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: to go on Dancing with the Stars anymore. Alfonso shut
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: it down, of us. I'm just saying, I know you,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I know you don't want to go on Answer the Stars.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: But of course you know. His question is which show
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: would you go on? And I what about the mask Dancer,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: that new one. No, I wouldn't go on Mask Dancer,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: a mass singer either. Man. If I had to do
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: a reality show, it would be one of those ones
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: like win Massinger two. Donald, you could win mass Singer two.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Donald, I haven't seen the mask dancer.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: How do they dance with their masks on? I don't
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: know either popular It's like the same kind of concept
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: with masks. These are reality shows though these are game shows.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: You know, we should go on, we should go on.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: We should on a feud. Oh my god, Oh my god,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: that'd be so much fun. That would be hilarious, like
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: it was for charity. If it was for charity, and
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: like our cast gets back together and we do like
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: family feud, that that would be so dope. Us us first,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: the office, Oh, my gosh, Oh my god. First Malcolm
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: in the middle verse, Oh my gosh. You remember Richard
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: Dawson with Richard Dawson would kiss every woman? Do you
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: remember that anymore? Not in the COVID time? No, no,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: But do you remember the old school family feud, like
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: like three hosts ago when we were growing up, it
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: was Richard Dawson. If you guys can look on YouTube,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: just put in Richard Dawson family feud, creepy kissing, and
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: every woman would get like a sensual kiss sometimes on
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: the lips. I'm watching like old school prices, right, and
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Bob Barker is doing the same thing. Really, Richard Dawson.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Can you name that movie? Can you name that Arnold
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Schwartzenegger movie? Yea, Dawson was running, running, running Man, Running Man.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: That's right where he goes back. He's the one he
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: said I'll be back to you. He no, he said,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: he said, Aldom said to him, I'll be back, and
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Richard Dawson looks at him and goes Only in a rerun,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Pal only, Richard Dawson was great in that movie. Yeah
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: he was. Yeah, he was the biggest guy in it.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: Only in a rerun Pal that's right. That anyway, what
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: we've learned today on the show is that Donald should
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: go on Mass Singer and win. Yes, thank you all,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: no plug it, plug your plug looking us. She's done
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: a good job. She's advocating for our son. I do
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: a lot of the blogging and influencing stuff I do
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: is about, you know, the Black experience with autism, because
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: our experiences attend bit different than everybody else's. We have
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: a couple of extras with our children. Can you explain
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: that Wait, we want to plug your blog about it,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: but can you explain in Layman's terms for people who
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: know nothing about it, including myself, how is the Black
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: experience different with autism? With autism, we like it's especially
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: when it comes to the things you hear in the news.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: When Black people don't just have to worry or teach
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: our children about the special needs. We also have to
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: worry about how they interact with the police. Because my
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: child he has sensory processing disorder as well, so there
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: are a lot of sensory issues and things that he
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: might not respond to very well. And I don't feel
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: like white parents really have to worry about these things
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: because you see it in the news. Remember when the
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: guy in Florida got shot and he was the behavioral
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: therapist for the kid and all he had was like
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: a train in his hand. Our son recently was called
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: a racial slur at therapy and it's like, see, on
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: top of him being a therapy now he's getting bullied
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: because of his race. And that's not something that other
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: people have to worry about. And some of the resources
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: that are lable for other people. People feel like these resources,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: when you use them, it makes you kind of less
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: than and that's not always the case. So it's an
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: example what an example of some of the resources that
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: people think like, especially for people with special needs, Like
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I recently did a video for the City of Masa here.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: The city of Masa's is actually the country's first autism
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: certified city, So that means that everybody has training on
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: how to de escalate situations, including the police department. So
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: if you tell the police department, hey, my child is autistic,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: they don't come in guns blazing. They come in knowing
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: what they're dealing with and their first priority is to
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: de escalate the situation. So we recently did some stuff
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: with Mason. We went out and we tried out different
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: things so they could so I can see firsthand. I
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: know you said it's a autism certified city, but like
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: you know, I wanted to know what that meant exactly
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: what does that mean for me and my family? So
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: they give you like sensory guides so I know that
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: if my kid has a sensitivity that loud noises, then
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: this might not be the best fit for him. Or Yeah,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: so you're saying, are you the community is sort of
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: a laboratory in a sense where they're saying, so there's
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: signage like I'm just making it up like this this
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: experience is it could be could be triggering for an
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: autistic child. I see. That's fascinating. Yeah. The president and
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the CEO of this of the visit masays what it's called.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: He kind of reached out to me via Instagram and
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: he's like, I see what you're doing over here. I
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: want you to come and just try out everything we
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: have here because we're we are an autistic certified city.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: So when you come and check into the hotel, if
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: you tell them that you have a child with special needs,
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: they're going to make sure to accommodate you, to make
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: sure that they are accommodating to make sure that they
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: speak certain language so that you can understand if they
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: see my child being loud, They're not just going to
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: assume I'm being a bad parent or something like that.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: They know that they're extra. There's something extra going on there.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: But yeah, what's what's the blog? What's the blog so
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: people could find out more about it's very interesting. I'm
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: sure our listeners would say. It's called the Keisha project
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: dot com. And my name is spelled k I s
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: H eight And what's your Instagram handle? Panama Kish and
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: that's a Panama And then k I s h Yes,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: all right, look my husband plugged me. Yes, well you're
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: doing I think it's a great cause. Now I'm just
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: trying to make the world a better place for our
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: child and everybody else's children too. Well, thank you for
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: what you're doing. And your children are both beautiful and
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: have the most beautiful smiles, and your husband and you
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: seem like you have a very good relationship. I would
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: listen to the podcast see you guys talking. Thank you,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: But now that we know the thing about the autism,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: I would I would also say, you know, you can
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: have that be a part of the of your podcast,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: ask where you guys. You know, you talk about you know,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: your your your own personalities, and you're funny and you
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: and you have your banter, but then you have serious
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: chats about what it's like to be parents of an
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: autistic child. I mean, there's so many parents I think
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: that would listen to that and and and get related
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: to that, especially when he's out flying all day long.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: So you know, my husband's a pilot. So you guys,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: just like you guys, leave a lot of information out
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: when your husband's a pilot. Yeah, that's how we met.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I was a flight attendant and he's a pilot. Okay,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: So as a cliche, get together, but it Kesha. It's
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: called burying the lead when you when you leave the
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: headline for the last thing, She's like, oh and also,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: my my husband's a fighter jet pilot and uh oh
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: did I mentioned that I'm the mayor of Mason. Well anyway,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: thank you guys so much, Fly safe, thank you for
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: coming on. Take care of y'all. But bye. That was lovely.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: That was very sweet. Yeah, can we talk about Mickhead
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: once again? With the timing coming in with the timing,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Mickhead's back not only is he back, he comes through
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: with the joke you are you hitting it with the
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: whole without having to say that. Yeah, and then Kelso
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: now's Kelso's trying to have everyone in the hospital think
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: he's having an affair with Bellamy, right, which is a
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: conversation we didn't talk about. Doctor Cox sees that Kelso
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: is trying to rope in this new doctor in the
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: hospital to the dark side, and he tries to intervene,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: and at the end of the day, she's like, no, wait,
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: hold up, you I get it. Yeah, he's a bad man,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: but if it benefits me in any way, you best
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: believe I'm taking a ride with the bad man. Cox
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: has met his match. Yeah, and Bellamy young Yeah and
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Cox and she's beautiful too. I honestly forgot if they
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: get together. No, they do, they do not. He's he's
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: married to Jordan and everything like that. Oh yeah, but
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I out if I forgot, if there was ever like
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: a v I'm not falling you. No no, no, no,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: no no no. Uh. Krista was not going to allow
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Bill to write that Johnny, she would ever choose another
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: woman over doctor Jordan. No, no, no. Can we talk
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: about how beautiful Bellamy youngest. Yeah, she's a knockout. She really,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: she really is. And she's a great actress, and she's
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: funny and she's she's the whole We all know she's
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: a great actress. She was on Scandal for so long.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I mean, doesn't she become President of the United States
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: on Scandal at some point? Something like that. Nelly certainly
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: does love Joelle. Are you you must be into Seawan Lanner?
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Are you watching them? The British one? Whatever it's called? Oh?
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I binged it? Yeah, it's a journey. It's really intense.
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: Is it like a soap opera? It's like or is it? Yeah,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: it's it's basically like you're standing called novel romance thing.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: What really stunned me. The wigs and the costumes are
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: like out of the park. Good is there? Sensational? I
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: could watch just the gowns coming and going and that
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: could be the show and it would be wonderful. What
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: about go ahead? What about go ahead? Go ahead? Okay?
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: What about what about Christopher? You go ahead? You go ahead?
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: What about this one? Christopher? What about there you go Christopher?
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: We could do that for a half hour. What about
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: when she goes Ristopher and then turns around and goes, Christopher.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: You only call me Christopher when you're mad or when
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: we're having sex. Baby, are you mad when we're having sex?
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: A little yeah? Or she goes sometimes sometimes that's funny.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: That's real talk, though, because you know, listen man, listen man.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: My wife loves me, and I know she loves me,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: and I know there are times where we're having sex
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: and she's so pissed off that she's having sex at
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: that moment in time, where she's like, this motherfucker made me.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: Don't ask. Don't you have the skills to bring her around?
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Turn around? I don't think any man does. I'm gonna
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: be honest with you. I don't think any I don't
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: listen you. That's a fantasy, that's bullshit. I disagree with you, homeboy.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: I feel like I feel like we are men are
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: the weak ones when it comes to sex. We're the
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: ones that has to freaking if anything changes in a situation,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: the man will be like, at least in my situation,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I can't speak for everybody. I'll speak for me that
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: I'll never take this back. I speak for me. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: could be like, baby, let's have sex and she's like no,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: I don't want to be like come on, and she'd
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: be like, fine, no, have it and we'll have sex,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: and she'd be like, all right, you're done. Good. Fine.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: She could be like you want to have sex and
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: I'll be like no, I don't want to have sex,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: and she'd be like really, and I'll be like no,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: I don't want to have sex, and then halfway through
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: I'll be like, I'm so glad we happened sex. This
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: is the best thing ever. This was the best thing ever.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Thank you. Ever. I didn't know. I didn't know this
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: was what I wanted. This is what I wanted, and
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: I should have known it. She'll be has it ever
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: happened that Casey's wanted sex and you've not wanted sex? No?
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I didn't think so I had to think about it.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I had to think about it. There have been times together,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: uh shit, eleven, thirteen, fourteen, something like that, a lot
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: of a long time. We've been together for a really
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: long time, fourteen, somewhere in between eleven and somewhere between.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Sound that something like that. We were together six years
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: before we got married. Right, Well, I think you met
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: you started flirting at my thirtieth birthday party. That's when
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: we started flirting, which would be sixteen years ago. And
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: you're forty six now. So yeah, no, I'm forty five, motherfucker.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: You'll be forty six this year and a couple of
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: months and a couple of months, I made them as
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: a clown. I made them. The only thing JD could
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: make in terms of balloon animals was eels. He made
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: balloon eels. I also laughed out loud when JD is
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: trying to tell the family that their grandfather died in
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: clown makeup and all of a sudden his boats highest.
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: That was very funny. I laughed at that too. I'd
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: like to finish the episode Donald by talking about something controversial.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I have never seen judge dread. Okay, of the versions,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: no version about every do I need to? I mean,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: they're fun. I'm gonna say no, I just don't. I
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: don't think Zach's gonna like them. Well, of course he's
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: not gonna like them. Suggests watch them. He's saying, for like,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: the nostalgia can't be fact, Like if you want to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: laugh at like, you want to see Stallone with his
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: really blue eyes in h So the premise is that
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: he doesn't. There's no time for a judge and jury anymore.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: The cop decides your sentence on the spot. He is
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the law. Well, Zach, here's a very brief history. Jeff
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: Dread was a satirical comic written in Britain about the
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: United States police and and somewhat about their police officers too.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: So it's like it's a really wonderful satire about like
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: what if you lived in a police state? But oftentimes
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: when it gets retold or reinterpreted, the satire part floats
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: out the window and they take it very seriously and
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: he's viewed as a hero. And so those movies are
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: like very comedic because you're like this, the entire point
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: of the comic book, which was trying to make a
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: point about it, feels like somebody should remake it with
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: with they did? They did me remake it? They did?
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: Did they take the satire the same ship again as
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: the same movie again? I would say they even went further.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Who was really a really good actor the dude from Yeah,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: the dude from Lord of the Rings and all of
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: those other thing. He's on the Boys right now, the
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: lead on the Boys. Should I watch the Boys? I
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: hear the Boys never watched it. I keep hearing Carl Urban,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: Carl Urban, Carl Urban's Donald Boys is good. Donald, you
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: would love the Boys. It's about superheroes. Yeah. So wait,
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: it sounds like Damian Lindeloff, with his skills for doing
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: the Watchman, should take on Judge Dread. That's a great idea, dude. Nice.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: By the way, Joel, did you see that I tweeted
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: at you a gift of that that very handsome man.
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: What's I did? What's his name? He's doctor Manhattan in
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: the series. Yeah, is it? Joel? Was like someone carrying
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: me off to bed. I'm exhausted, and I sent her
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: the gift of him and then and then but they
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: cropped off where his blue penis would be. There was
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: no blue peen in it, which was you know, I
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: appreciate it. I have a question when you're in the makeup,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: when you're in the makeup trailer and they're doing your
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: whole body and turning it blue and they're like, all right,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: now it's time for your penis. Do you think they're like,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: all right, man, why don't you do your penis? Or
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: someone down there? There's no there's no way that that's
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: his Penis that should a CG? Dude? No, I think
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: he's fully makeup up blue. Have you seen it, Donald,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: because you probably didn't want It's very accurate, is it?
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Is it like ginormously big? It's a very nice pens large.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: He's a shower, but like he's a shower. It's not monstrous.
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: It's not like commonsly long. It's not like it's it's
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: not like distracting. And I guess it is distracting to
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: some people. You guys are talking about it. Why did
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: you watch Watchman? I can't believe it. You haven't. I watched.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: I watched the first episode and I was really into it,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: and then something happened and I stopped watching, and I
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: haven't watched the rest of it. You know, I don't
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: watch you know, I don't watch anything. I watched watch
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: Men twice. Also, by the way, for the record, I've
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: now seen Soul, which I enjoyed. But but but aside
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: from that Watchman, Donald, if you don't got watch one thing,
