- 0:00Speaker 1: The Big Show Extra sponsored by Farah and Farah. Here
- 0:04Speaker 1: for You, Here.
- 0:05Speaker 2: For Good WQIK. I met a woman named Emma. I
- 0:09Speaker 2: met her and she said she moved here maybe in
- 0:12Speaker 2: the last six months, and then in just the last
- 0:14Speaker 2: few weeks she found the Big Show and she fell
- 0:17Speaker 2: in love.
- 0:18Speaker 1: With the Big Show. Oh that's exciting, Emma. Thank you
- 0:20Speaker 1: so much.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I appreciate it.
- 0:21Speaker 4: Cool.
- 0:21Speaker 5: I do.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Hope you're doing well.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We are the Big Show with Country ninety nine one WQIK.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Megan's music City meant and what's going on?
- 0:29Speaker 4: Eric Church is doing something so cool for America's two
- 0:32Speaker 4: hundred and fiftieth birthday. His whiskey brand has this batch
- 0:36Speaker 4: that's out called Legacy Batch zero zero three. Maybe it's
- 0:39Speaker 4: a double O three, but it's really cool because he
- 0:43Speaker 4: sourced apple brandy barrels directly from George Washington's distillery in
- 0:48Speaker 4: Mount Vernon, and he tried his best to pretty much
- 0:52Speaker 4: bring back the same spirits that George Washington distilled. So
- 0:55Speaker 4: when you drink this whiskey, you're basically drinking George Washington's whiskey.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Okay, that's such an Eric Church thing, Ain't That's awesome?
- 1:03Speaker 1: That guy's cool though. I like that. Oh I tried.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I wonder if I can afford it?
- 1:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I wonder how he makes whiskey with the sunglasses
- 1:10Speaker 4: on in a dark, dark barrel Roomliar, people, that's your
- 1:14Speaker 4: music city minute.
- 1:15Speaker 6: Talking about American ingenuity? Didn't we great American inventions? You know,
- 1:19Speaker 6: we are the greatest country on earth, and we've invented
- 1:21Speaker 6: some really cool stuff.
- 1:23Speaker 1: How about that we.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Have like the corn dog that was my favorite. We
- 1:27Speaker 3: turned with mustard.
- 1:28Speaker 1: He learned a lot yesterday.
- 1:30Speaker 6: They're so excited about fair season. I know, I can't wait.
- 1:33Speaker 6: Give me the snaxtet get air conditioning.
- 1:36Speaker 2: That was the one I pulled away from yesterday. The
- 1:37Speaker 2: people who called air conditioning you know, yeah, that was great.
- 1:40Speaker 6: You know what I was surprised nobody mentioned was the telephone.
- 1:45Speaker 6: Oh yeah, that, I mean, the thing we're all strapped
- 1:47Speaker 6: with every single day. I mean, this phone has come
- 1:50Speaker 6: a long way since Alexander Graham Bell.
- 1:52Speaker 1: But the telephone is a big one.
- 1:54Speaker 3: So we're responsible for social media addiction.
- 1:57Speaker 1: We take the good with the bad.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I guess we have a lot of phone calls yesterday,
- 2:01Speaker 2: and we appreciate you. From nine oh four, three, eight
- 2:03Speaker 2: eight thirty six ninety nine, and John, you have one too.
- 2:07Speaker 7: About the number one American invention that has changed music worldwide,
- 2:13Speaker 7: and that is the electric guitar. We wouldn't have a job,
- 2:16Speaker 7: and we wouldn't have anybody to listen to in the morning. Now.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I know the great Less Paul did the solid body guitar,
- 2:26Speaker 2: but who were the like a first electric guitars.
- 2:28Speaker 7: That's Paul and Fender and reinvented the electric guitar. But
- 2:34Speaker 7: there was a guy in the twenties by the name
- 2:36Speaker 7: of beauchamp Okay who actually started fiddling around with electrics
- 2:42Speaker 7: for guitar and when.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Originally was on the.
- 2:47Speaker 7: Regular guitar bass and not the solid basse. But that's
- 2:52Speaker 7: where it all started out here.
- 2:54Speaker 1: John, Thanks buddy, Thank you so much. Take care man,
- 2:57Speaker 1: Thank you, bye buye. There you go.
- 3:00Speaker 6: The electric guitar changed the world, Yes it did. I'm
- 3:03Speaker 6: a big fan of the electric first single, the way
- 3:05Speaker 6: I Talk. We ought to play that around here. Talking
- 3:07Speaker 6: about people's accents.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Country ninety nine one WQIK, Good morning, It's the Big
- 3:11Speaker 2: Show with Chumley, John, Meghan and Froggy.
- 3:14Speaker 6: You know in America we speak more than three hundred
- 3:17Speaker 6: and fifty languages here in US homes. Isn't that crazy
- 3:21Speaker 6: to think about? Yes, massive country, And if you've ever
- 3:24Speaker 6: traveled anywhere, people talk funny in.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Different states, Yes they do.
- 3:28Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:28Speaker 6: Down here we've got a North Florida, Lower Georgia, Alabama
- 3:32Speaker 6: type of accent.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But people in Wisconsin talk different.
- 3:36Speaker 6: New York Jersey, you know, Boston has its own way
- 3:39Speaker 6: of speaking.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And the funny thing is we don't think.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I don't think I have an accent, of course, because
- 3:44Speaker 2: most people don't think they have an accent because that's
- 3:46Speaker 2: the way they talk. But when you go somewhere else
- 3:49Speaker 2: and everybody can peg you. Yeah, So what part of
- 3:52Speaker 2: the South are you from? I'm like, how did you guess?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Because people in the South say I don't have an accent,
- 3:57Speaker 2: and when you go up north they hear it. Uh huh,
- 4:00Speaker 2: same problem.
- 4:00Speaker 4: It's so weird because both of you, to me, have
- 4:02Speaker 4: no accent, and I'm not a Florida native, but to me,
- 4:06Speaker 4: you sound normal.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you have a little bit of an accent. I
- 4:09Speaker 1: noticed sometimes.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I think I just have been around people like you
- 4:13Speaker 4: guys for a very long time.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Now, I think I picked it out.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Southerners who does sound southern? Is that what that is?
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:19Speaker 2: That is funny because a lot of people can can
- 4:22Speaker 2: tag that. I can see an Alabama thing, and I
- 4:25Speaker 2: think some people are chameleons if you hang around.
- 4:28Speaker 1: I hung around.
- 4:29Speaker 2: There was a guy who used to coach with Mike
- 4:31Speaker 2: Luton's and we coached on the North Side.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Mike's old country born.
- 4:34Speaker 2: He would get there and and so I'd find myself
- 4:36Speaker 2: after practice talking more like Mike. You know, you kind
- 4:40Speaker 2: of end up morphinge sometimes and talking the way you
- 4:42Speaker 2: hang out with your friends exactly.
- 4:44Speaker 4: My best friend she's flying in today from Kansas City,
- 4:47Speaker 4: and I promised after I'm with her for a couple
- 4:50Speaker 4: of days, my speech will get so crystal clear. But
- 4:54Speaker 4: I mean, I live with a man from Alabama, and
- 4:56Speaker 4: when my Alabama friends come, all of a sudden, I'm like, I.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Don't know, I don't know what you guys are saying.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm saying. Do you have a.
- 5:04Speaker 4: Wisconsin accent when your family's around, No, not at all.
- 5:07Speaker 6: But when I get with my friends on the West Side,
- 5:09Speaker 6: I start talking like I'm from the west Side.
- 5:11Speaker 4: See, that's that's only part of my problem too.
- 5:13Speaker 1: That's it.
- 5:14Speaker 2: We're just morphin this morphine. So we want to hear
- 5:17Speaker 2: from you. If you have an accent or you're from
- 5:20Speaker 2: somewhere else, we would love to hear from you. And
- 5:22Speaker 2: I know four three, eight, eight, thirty six ninety nine
- 5:24Speaker 2: as we celebrate the melting pot that is America.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah, love to try to guess your accent.
- 5:30Speaker 2: So k in the big show now in its six
- 5:32Speaker 2: big year, this Floridia that we play every week of
- 5:35Speaker 2: the fourth of July celebration week.
- 5:38Speaker 1: This is in South Florida.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Evidently, there was some guy in the apartment complex that
- 5:43Speaker 2: had been firing off fireworks you know, you know the
- 5:46Speaker 2: ones that start firing them off on July first, Yep,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and it starts getting on the nerves of some of
- 5:50Speaker 2: the other neighbors. And so this guy had finally had enough.
- 5:53Speaker 2: This is on like July second, and he was just
- 5:56Speaker 2: really done with everybody else firing their fireworks off. So
- 5:59Speaker 2: he's in and upart and complex where you can look
- 6:01Speaker 2: out and see your neighbor on a balcony, or look
- 6:03Speaker 2: across the courtyard and see your neighbor right there. So
- 6:06Speaker 2: this guy goes out on his balcony and starts well,
- 6:09Speaker 2: he doesn't have fireworks to fire off, but he wants
- 6:11Speaker 2: to protest somehow, so he just does this. And so
- 6:22Speaker 2: that's that's funny enough as it is that he starts
- 6:25Speaker 2: making those noises, and.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So let me back him up a little bit and
- 6:29Speaker 1: we'll give it to you again.
- 6:29Speaker 2: And then you get the answer from a neighbor, and
- 6:41Speaker 2: happy forth to you.
- 6:45Speaker 1: W q i K.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Two hundred and fifty years. What do they call it?
- 6:48Speaker 2: The semi quincentennial? What's the thing?
- 6:51Speaker 1: What?
- 6:52Speaker 6: It's half of five hundred, so they call it something quasimoto.
- 6:55Speaker 4: That's what that sounds like to me. Quasimotive centennial. That's
- 6:58Speaker 4: too many.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Letters, the semi quincent Yeah, I can't spell that, to
- 7:01Speaker 6: be honest.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Well let's go half of five hundred. That's what we're
- 7:04Speaker 1: aiming for. Anyway.
- 7:04Speaker 2: We're celebrating it with the big show in Country ninety
- 7:07Speaker 2: nine one wq I K. And Aaron's got a fun fact, so, Aaron, Yeah,
- 7:11Speaker 2: I lay it on this man.
- 7:12Speaker 8: Abraham Lincoln was the only president that had a for
- 7:17Speaker 8: lifting riverboat out of.
- 7:21Speaker 1: De ay B. Lincoln the only US president to hold
- 7:23Speaker 1: a patent. I did not know that. That's interesting. We
- 7:26Speaker 1: appreciate you listen, thanks for calling in love your show. Brother, Yeah, man,
- 7:30Speaker 1: appreciate it love. Yeah, all right, thank you man.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yes, Abraham Lincoln has a patent and it's quote boying
- 7:38Speaker 2: Vessels over Shoals invention, a mechanical system of adjustable inflatable
- 7:43Speaker 2: bellows designed to be attached to a ship's hull to
- 7:45Speaker 2: lift riverboats.
- 7:46Speaker 6: I thought he was talking about flotation devices that he.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The Big Show with Country ninety nine one WQIK Megan,
- 7:53Speaker 1: let's get into three things.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Let's talk about our new Miss Florida, Alexandra Debruze.
- 7:59Speaker 2: She won.
- 8:00Speaker 4: This was the ninetieth Miss Florida competition, which is crazy.
- 8:04Speaker 3: We're getting close to one undred years of Miss Florida.
- 8:06Speaker 4: What's really really cool though, and surprising is she got
- 8:09Speaker 4: support from Reese. She's one of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader stars.
- 8:14Speaker 4: She's the biggest on the show, and I had no
- 8:17Speaker 4: idea that they were friends. So that was cool to
- 8:19Speaker 4: see support from a DCC for cheerleader.
- 8:22Speaker 6: I'm looking at her photo, she's pretty, okay beautiful.
- 8:25Speaker 1: She really is represent girl.
- 8:27Speaker 4: A couple is making headlines after they climbed to the
- 8:29Speaker 4: top of the Empire State Building for a proposal.
- 8:33Speaker 3: All the news stations.
- 8:34Speaker 4: That were recording this, like what are they doing? Thought
- 8:36Speaker 4: it was going to be some kind of big protests.
- 8:38Speaker 4: They had a black flag with some kind of text
- 8:40Speaker 4: on it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They were made up where you couldn't see their faces.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yeah, she looked like she was catwoman. She had like
- 8:45Speaker 3: a ski mask on with cat ears.
- 8:46Speaker 4: But they climbed up this building with their bare hands,
- 8:49Speaker 4: and they got.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Engaged, and then they got arrested, right, they did get arrested,
- 8:53Speaker 6: but she got pretty pictures. Couples that do time together
- 8:56Speaker 6: stay together.
- 8:57Speaker 1: That's what I've heard.
- 8:57Speaker 3: That's a good point.
- 8:58Speaker 1: That's what I've always heard.
- 8:59Speaker 4: The USA took home the victory last night against Bosnia.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Her goes Kevin, which I'm going to get it to zero.
- 9:09Speaker 4: We're moving on to the next round.
- 9:10Speaker 2: We won't have to say that name again because they've
- 9:12Speaker 2: been knocked out. I love the fact that once the
- 9:19Speaker 2: soccer players get all their hondshakes and hugs out, they
- 9:23Speaker 2: just stand there and sing along with the crowd.
- 9:26Speaker 1: They're just standing there in the middle of the field,
- 9:28Speaker 1: like let's do it. We did this together, man. I
- 9:32Speaker 1: love that.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Who knew the MVP of the World Cup twenty twenty
- 9:38Speaker 2: six would be John Denver.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Honestly, it gives me chills.
- 9:41Speaker 6: And we had a watch party last night with michelob
- 9:44Speaker 6: Ultra at Lynch's Irish Pub, and even when the national
- 9:47Speaker 6: anthem goes on, it was so nice to actually see
- 9:49Speaker 6: people stop. Everybody's singing along to the national anthem. The
- 9:54Speaker 6: national anthem ends everybody's chanting USA. I mean the energy
- 9:58Speaker 6: people are so excited about the World Cup and then
- 10:01Speaker 6: we have our next World Cup is this coming Monday
- 10:04Speaker 6: eight pm. USA versus Belgium in round sixteen and that's
- 10:08Speaker 6: going to be a tough one Belgia.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Belgium pulled it out of their tail yesterday.
- 10:12Speaker 2: They were down two with minutes to go and they
- 10:14Speaker 2: ended up beating Senegal and so come on, bring on Belgium.
- 10:17Speaker 6: It's going to be exciting. We'll be watching at Lynches
- 10:19Speaker 6: Iris Pub. We'll get there early six pm. We'll pregame
- 10:22Speaker 6: till eight pm, pass out some freemak culture as all
- 10:24Speaker 6: kinds of collector's World Cup swag. It's going to be
- 10:28Speaker 6: a good time. So excited about the World Cup. No
- 10:30Speaker 6: Belgian waffles until no, we beat them on Monday, right.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Nobody's eating those around here. I'm making this three things
- 10:35Speaker 4: you need to know.
- 10:36Speaker 2: We will take callers nine to ten right now at
- 10:38Speaker 2: nine oh four, three, eight, eight thirty six ninety nine
- 10:40Speaker 2: play the pop quiz for par of tickets to go.
- 10:42Speaker 1: See Megan, Marony and Orlando.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Way they talk and where they're from in this melting
- 10:46Speaker 2: Pot of America celebrating two hundred and fifty years with
- 10:49Speaker 2: the Big Show in Country ninety nine one WQIK.
- 10:52Speaker 6: So, let's call my cousin. His name is Justin, and
- 10:56Speaker 6: he's got an accent. It's very distinctive, and I want
- 10:58Speaker 6: to see if you guys can guess his accent.
- 11:01Speaker 1: That's what we're doing this morning.
- 11:02Speaker 6: Yeah, big country, lots of different ways that people say things,
- 11:06Speaker 6: a lot of different accents, definitely different from down here.
- 11:09Speaker 1: So let's give you a call.
- 11:10Speaker 7: Now.
- 11:10Speaker 2: We're going to play where You're from with this is
- 11:12Speaker 2: a relative? Yeah, he's a cousin, all right.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I think it's ringing now, Okay, Hello.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Is this Justin?
- 11:19Speaker 6: This is good morning, sir. You're on with Chumley, John,
- 11:23Speaker 6: Meghan and Froggy.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Hey, guys, how you doing good?
- 11:26Speaker 1: How are you?
- 11:27Speaker 6: So we're trying to guess people's accents, and if you're
- 11:30Speaker 6: not from Florida and you're from where you're from, I
- 11:33Speaker 6: feel like you've got a pretty thick accent. I think
- 11:35Speaker 6: to you guys, when I go visit you, you think
- 11:37Speaker 6: I have a Southern accent, which is kind of funny.
- 11:40Speaker 1: We do believe that yet.
- 11:43Speaker 6: So Megan John, let's see if we can guess where
- 11:47Speaker 6: this guy's from. Feel free to ask him a couple
- 11:48Speaker 6: of questions so you can get the linguistic nature of
- 11:51Speaker 6: his dialect exactly.
- 11:53Speaker 1: We're not going to try to get geography answers from you.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Just tell us. Tell us what you do for a
- 11:58Speaker 1: living or what you've done for a living.
- 12:00Speaker 5: I've done for a living. I used to work in manufacturing,
- 12:03Speaker 5: uh in the engineering department, but currently I do marine
- 12:08Speaker 5: canvas and upholstery.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Can I ask you to say a phrase because I'm
- 12:11Speaker 4: hearing something that sounds a little.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Familiar to me. All right, go ahead, will you say,
- 12:17Speaker 3: don't you know?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Don't you know? I'm taking it up into the area
- 12:21Speaker 1: of can we pinpoint it.
- 12:22Speaker 2: It's some from the Dakota's over to Wisconsin of some sort.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Or Canada. Even it kind of sounds a little Canadian.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Oh he didn't say a boat, did he? Yeah? How
- 12:33Speaker 1: do you pronounce boat? Yeah? How do you pronounce a
- 12:37Speaker 1: b o U T?
- 12:39Speaker 5: I might plead the fifth on this one. I've been
- 12:41Speaker 5: laughed at.
- 12:42Speaker 3: But do you ever say boat? The word op op op?
- 12:49Speaker 5: Yes, that is common in my my daily burbage.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I got him, I got him.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I know a fellow Midwesterner when I hear one, I'm
- 13:01Speaker 4: gonna guess Michigan.
- 13:03Speaker 6: Oh, you're close, I'll go, I'll go Minnesota. Gosh, you
- 13:08Speaker 6: guys are so close. But Wisconsin. It's Wisconsin.
- 13:16Speaker 3: I love it.
- 13:19Speaker 1: That would have taken your northern yeah, a little further north.
- 13:22Speaker 1: So Justin's my cousin.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Great guy lives in South Carolina, but from fon du Lac, Wisconsin,
- 13:29Speaker 6: which is Indian for foot of the lake, right across
- 13:31Speaker 6: Lake Winnebego from Oshkosh Bagosh.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Don't you know? Oh?
- 13:34Speaker 6: Yeah, Oh that is so cool, Justin. Thanks for the
- 13:37Speaker 6: time this morning. Man.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I hope you're doing well.
- 13:39Speaker 7: Thanks Justin, Kenny, what about you?
- 13:44Speaker 1: Good answer? Oh my, I.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Okay, Well that's good. You don't want to say that
- 13:50Speaker 2: without his lawyer present. Let's dive into the pup quiz
- 13:55Speaker 2: Courtney on the West side.
- 13:56Speaker 1: We start with you first. Here we are the America
- 13:59Speaker 1: two fifth week.
- 14:00Speaker 2: What percentage of American adults know that George Washington was
- 14:04Speaker 2: our first president?
- 14:06Speaker 5: Courtney, Gosh, I'm going to say seventy five percent.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Kenny, do we go higher or lower? Higher?
- 14:14Speaker 2: You're right, We'll give them credit. They're eighty seven percent
- 14:17Speaker 2: of American adults. No, George Washington was our first president.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I'm so proud of us.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I'm proud of us too. And Kenny, Kenny went in
- 14:24Speaker 2: the right direction. Right, Kenny went the right direction. So
- 14:27Speaker 2: Kenny gets that point. Kenny, you get this question first.
- 14:30Speaker 2: You're trying to win tickets to see her at the
- 14:32Speaker 2: Kia Center in Orlando. Megan Marony? How old does country
- 14:36Speaker 2: star Megan Morony?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Kenny? Sorry? Five thirty five? Courtney? Is she older or
- 14:41Speaker 1: younger than thirty five?
- 14:42Speaker 8: I'm going to say younger.
- 14:44Speaker 2: You are correct, she is twenty eight years old. Oh,
- 14:46Speaker 2: we're tied up. If you know the answer to this question,
- 14:51Speaker 2: shout your name. The multiple choice is baked into the question,
- 14:54Speaker 2: So here the whole question before you jump in, but
- 14:57Speaker 2: shout your name. Here we go, which man was president
- 15:00Speaker 2: before the other Richard Nixon or John F.

- 15:18Speaker 3: Great job, Thank you.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I love a good score.
- 15:23Speaker 2: And Courtney per tickets to see Megan Maroney at the

- 15:33Speaker 2: and the Big Show now in its six big year.
- 15:35Speaker 2: This Floridia that we play every week of the fourth
- 15:38Speaker 2: of July Celebration week.
- 15:40Speaker 1: This is in South Florida.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Evidently there was some guy in the apartment complex that
- 15:45Speaker 2: had been firing off fireworks you know, you know the
- 15:48Speaker 2: ones that start firing them off on July first, yep,
- 15:51Speaker 2: And it starts getting on the nerves of some of
- 15:53Speaker 2: the other neighbors.
- 15:54Speaker 1: And so this guy had finally had enough.
- 15:56Speaker 2: This is on like July second, and he was just
- 15:58Speaker 2: really done with everybody's firing their fireworks off. So he's
- 16:02Speaker 2: in an apartment complex where you can look out and
- 16:04Speaker 2: see your neighbor on a balcony, or look across the
- 16:06Speaker 2: courtyard and see your neighbor right there. So this guy
- 16:09Speaker 2: goes out on his balcony and starts, well, he doesn't
- 16:12Speaker 2: have fireworks to fire off, but he wants to protest somehow,
- 16:14Speaker 2: so he just does this. And so that's that's funny
- 16:26Speaker 2: enough as it is that he starts making those noises,
- 16:29Speaker 2: and so let me back him up a little bit
- 16:31Speaker 2: and we'll give it to you again. And then you
- 16:32Speaker 2: get the answer from a neighbor, and happy forth to you.
- 16:46Speaker 6: A ninety nine one w Q I K and Megan,
- 16:49Speaker 6: this is a great idea of yours. Where are you from?
- 16:52Speaker 6: We're trying to guess your accent to figure out if
- 16:55Speaker 6: we can figure out where you're from, what state, that.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Kind of thing we've got. Sharon can get lucky and
- 17:01Speaker 4: get Sharon right.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Let's ask some questions to share. We've we've batted about
- 17:04Speaker 2: I don't know two fifty. You know, we haven't done
- 17:06Speaker 2: so great. We're not Hall of Fame numbers. We when
- 17:09Speaker 2: you make an.
- 17:09Speaker 3: All star team right now, we're losers.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Okay, so yeah, simply put all right, Sharon, let's ask
- 17:14Speaker 2: you a few questions.
- 17:15Speaker 6: What's your favorite food? Sharing from your hometown.
- 17:19Speaker 8: Oh my favorite food, I don't really have a favorite food.
- 17:26Speaker 8: I guess you'd say oysters.
- 17:27Speaker 6: Oysters, Okay, somewhere along the coast. That's what I'm thinking.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's what I'm guessing.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Tricky accent.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Sounds like a southern coast though. Are we getting close?
- 17:38Speaker 4: What do you call your your your grandparents? What's the
- 17:41Speaker 4: name for your your grandmother and grandfather?
- 17:44Speaker 8: My mind? What Nannia, Papa?
- 17:47Speaker 3: I'm going to guess Arkansas.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Oh, you're going in the middle. I was thinking Carolina. Yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 2: I was going Carolina's okay.
- 17:54Speaker 8: Never been to Arkansas, never lived in the Carolinas.
- 17:58Speaker 6: Ah, okay, let me throw this out there. Alabama.
- 18:04Speaker 8: Never been to Alabama?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Are you from the South?
- 18:06Speaker 8: I am from the South. I was born and raised
- 18:09Speaker 8: in Jacksonville, but I've got a lot of family that
- 18:12Speaker 8: was from Chiefland, Lake City, Southern that northern, so.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It's our official northern Florida accent.
- 18:23Speaker 8: I grew. I mean, I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee for
- 18:25Speaker 8: four and a half years, so I think that's where.
- 18:29Speaker 1: My gosh, well, Sharon, thank you so much. Goodness to
- 18:33Speaker 1: hi w Q I K.
- 18:34Speaker 6: Who's this Brendy we're gonna try to guess where you're from.
- 18:39Speaker 2: So he sounds Southern from the get go, which I love.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I love this accent.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Thanks, I do. Thank you sound southern.
- 18:48Speaker 4: How do you say the holiday where we all eat turkey?
- 18:52Speaker 8: Thanks doun.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Well, let's just roll this out. Are you from Florida?
- 18:59Speaker 6: I am.
- 19:04Speaker 8: Born and raised right here in Jacksonville.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Yeah, Jacksonville, North Florida does have its own accent.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Man.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I think I we used to attribute it to other states,
- 19:12Speaker 2: but I think we need to start making our own.
- 19:13Speaker 6: And I think Brenda right here is our lynch pin. Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 6: so we got two backs to back. You sounded like
- 19:18Speaker 6: the last lady that called, and we were assuming she
- 19:21Speaker 6: was from another state. But obviously Yeah, that's the Florida accent,
- 19:25Speaker 6: which sounds a lot like Lord Georgia.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Yah ma'am, it's a pretty accent.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I love it. Well, we love it, Brenda fan raised
- 19:31Speaker 1: on the west side. There you go, now side, the
- 19:34Speaker 1: best side. We're pinpoint neighborhoods now.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I like that, is that a Cedar Hills west side
- 19:39Speaker 2: or is that a Normandy west side?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Right? That's the packs and West northwest.
- 19:45Speaker 6: That's a that's a packs and one packs and I
- 19:49Speaker 6: could be proud to say that.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Brenda, Thank you, You're awesome. Brenda.
- 19:55Speaker 2: A good day listening to count Stop Big Show rolling
- 19:59Speaker 2: right now with Country nine one w q I, K Shumley, John,
- 20:03Speaker 2: Meghan and Froggy and Jenna.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Jenna got a guess, Yeah, we're your friend.
- 20:07Speaker 2: This is Jenna. She just started on the sales side
- 20:10Speaker 2: of things here. And so this is what second week here?
- 20:14Speaker 3: First week?
- 20:14Speaker 1: First week? So you're at the end of the first
- 20:16Speaker 1: week here, Yes, sir.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I started on Monday. I actually start my regular training
- 20:20Speaker 4: next week. This is just getting to know everybody and
- 20:22Speaker 4: kind of seeing what iHeartRadio is all about.
- 20:25Speaker 1: That is very cool. So what did you do before this?
- 20:27Speaker 4: Before this, I was a designer for a closet factory,
- 20:30Speaker 4: and before that I was the sales and marketing manager
- 20:33Speaker 4: for Chophouse at Naktya and Chophouse thirteen.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Cool.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Okay, very cool.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Now the reason you're here one one of the reasons
- 20:40Speaker 2: you're here is that we want to play where you're from.
- 20:42Speaker 2: All right, all right, so we'll have to guess where
- 20:44Speaker 2: you're from. So, gosh, you had a lot of work
- 20:47Speaker 2: here already. Are you from Are you from Florida?
- 20:51Speaker 4: Yes, sir, I am from Florida.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Okay, now we know that's the first question.
- 20:57Speaker 4: From now are we guessing neighborhoods now at this point.
- 21:01Speaker 1: From the south side.
- 21:03Speaker 3: I am from the south the trouble.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Well done, my friend, But you're actually a little late today,
- 21:10Speaker 6: and I'm not trying to give you a hard time,
- 21:12Speaker 6: but we are kind of giving you a hard time.
- 21:14Speaker 1: You had a reason.
- 21:15Speaker 6: You've moved somewhere new in our area, correct I did.
- 21:18Speaker 4: I just moved to green Cove Springs. If anyone knows
- 21:21Speaker 4: the area, they know that there is a heavy police
- 21:24Speaker 4: presence there.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Doesn't know me the lay of the land and knowing
- 21:29Speaker 2: where the police do hang out and where they don't
- 21:31Speaker 2: hang out. You did find out where they do hang out. Unfortunately,
- 21:34Speaker 2: it's going to cost you a penny.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Unfortunately, they love that Russell Road.
- 21:39Speaker 6: So if you're driving right now green Cove and you're
- 21:41Speaker 6: going to take Russell Road, know the police are out
- 21:43Speaker 6: because poor Jenne I got a ticket this morning.
- 21:46Speaker 1: She's paying the price for you.
- 21:47Speaker 2: So are other people hearing this for the very first
- 21:50Speaker 2: time and going Jenna, you got a ticket?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Did you alert people in your life that you have
- 21:54Speaker 1: a ticket.
- 21:55Speaker 2: No, I did not.
- 21:56Speaker 3: My husband, Nathan, I'm so sorry about that. How fast
- 21:59Speaker 3: were you?
- 22:00Speaker 4: I was only going like eleven miles per hour over officially?
- 22:04Speaker 1: Is that what he wrote down? Or what were you doing?
- 22:06Speaker 3: That's that is officially what he wrote down.
- 22:09Speaker 6: Yes, see, a nice answer. What was the speed limit
- 22:12Speaker 6: there on Russell Road? I believe it was fifty five okay.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah, so you were doing at least seventy.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I was going seventy one.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:20Speaker 3: I mean that's in the that's.
- 22:21Speaker 4: In the acceptable range though of speeding. I feel like
- 22:24Speaker 4: ten over, no big deal. Fifty seventy seventy yeah, they'll
- 22:31Speaker 4: pull you over. Nine nine is nine miles per hour
- 22:34Speaker 4: over right after that, that's when they start pulling you over.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Okay, okay, that's good to know. That is good. I
- 22:40Speaker 6: appreciate that they educated you on that. While they were
- 22:42Speaker 6: writing the ticket but still educating you.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I was curious.
- 22:45Speaker 4: I was like, I really don't feel like I'm going
- 22:47Speaker 4: that much over. We did have a little bit of
- 22:48Speaker 4: a conversation, but I was just being nosy. I'm curious
- 22:51Speaker 4: because it's great planning for next time.
- 22:53Speaker 6: If you're a prospective client, you know, and somebody that
- 22:56Speaker 6: wants to buy advertising on this fantastic radio station which
- 22:59Speaker 6: really works.
- 22:59Speaker 1: How people get a hold of you?
- 23:01Speaker 4: Yeah, they can email me at Jenna Bryant at iHeartMedia
- 23:05Speaker 4: dot com.

- 23:31Speaker 2: who go, I don't know country music, but I live that.

- 23:43Speaker 3: I think so too. Are you having fun this morning?
- 23:46Speaker 3: I'm having a great time.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Y'all didn't even give me too much hassle when I
- 23:48Speaker 4: spilled on myself.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I did see it, and I just didn't want
- 23:51Speaker 1: to give you a hard time.

- 24:09Speaker 4: the world because this flag is the size of a rug.
- 24:12Speaker 3: It's eight by five, it's massive.
- 24:15Speaker 1: It is huge. Man, that's a huge flag, man, and
- 24:18Speaker 1: I love it.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Every time I look at you this morning, John, I'm like,

- 24:35Speaker 6: I've seen online people flying an upside down American flag,
- 24:38Speaker 6: all this stuff. We should be proud of this country,
- 24:40Speaker 6: the American flag. I've got a big one in front
- 24:42Speaker 6: of my house all weekend long, unless it reigns. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 24:47Speaker 6: I follow the rules. It does not touch the ground.
