- 7:55Speaker 2: Pop ups were everywhere, and the most disgusting pop up.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I just didn't know, dude.

- 8:47Speaker 3: How old is that? How old are you saying?
- 8:50Speaker 1: I was about twelve or thirteen years old?
- 8:52Speaker 2: That sounds about dude. I remember did your parents give

- 8:58Speaker 4: No? Never say, And still.
- 9:00Speaker 1: They never talked to you about it, dude.
- 9:02Speaker 3: So my dad here's what happened with me. My dad
- 9:04Speaker 3: got like pissed off, and because you know, pop ups
- 9:07Speaker 3: were happening, and you know, you're like young, you don't
- 9:09Speaker 3: you don't think that they know, but they know. And
- 9:11Speaker 3: he's like, uh, well, let me talk the outside for
- 9:13Speaker 3: a minute.
- 9:15Speaker 2: I have no idea like what he's about to say.
- 9:19Speaker 2: All right, hey dad, what's up? He's like, what is tits?
- 9:22Speaker 2: And ask Lord dot com.
- 9:27Speaker 1: No, he did not say that word to God.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Immediately, I'm thinking of the buddy you were talking about.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I'm thinking of my friend. I'm like a son of
- 9:33Speaker 3: a bitch, Trim, Trim Montgomery. He was on the computer
- 9:36Speaker 3: earlier and I was I was telling them to get off.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Of it because I didn't, you know, Wyatt, I didn't
- 9:40Speaker 2: want to hold your boy out. Yeah, he was never
- 9:43Speaker 2: allowed to come out the house again.
- 9:44Speaker 3: What a terrible that when fear is happening. Yes, he's
- 9:50Speaker 3: under the bus.
- 9:51Speaker 2: He was like, he was like, he wasn't like that
- 9:53Speaker 2: good of a friend anyway, but anyway, throw him under
- 9:55Speaker 2: the bus. And he's like, if I ever catch you
- 9:58Speaker 2: on the porn side again, I will box your jaws.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Your dad said that that was my talk.
- 10:03Speaker 3: So me, I was just a kid that you know,
- 10:04Speaker 3: you stay at your buddies out like, hey man, you
- 10:06Speaker 3: got to send them macts you get HPO. No, No,
- 10:09Speaker 3: I did all the time.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You guys got it. You look at his phone right now.
- 10:14Speaker 1: He is crazy.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Dude, dude, Oh man, I got so many getting caught
- 10:20Speaker 2: watching porn videos?
- 10:21Speaker 4: You did?
- 10:21Speaker 3: Would you always have it on the previous channel like
- 10:23Speaker 3: you have it on ESPN?
- 10:24Speaker 1: And that that's the oldest trick in the book, the
- 10:26Speaker 1: oldest trick in the book.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I remember that. Fuck it, dude, it's our podcast. I said,
- 10:30Speaker 2: I want the first time I like jerked off, Like, dude, dude,
- 10:35Speaker 2: but everyone, you guys all remember the first time you.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Guys jerked off?
- 10:38Speaker 3: All right, Yeah, my left leg went shake.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Okay, don't even so, dude about thirteen Like so like,
- 10:45Speaker 2: by the way, the story I just told, like, didn't
- 10:47Speaker 2: jerk off once. I'm just staring at it, dude, like
- 10:49Speaker 2: literally twelve hours.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Of my day, I'm just watching porn. Like I'm not
- 10:52Speaker 1: even I'm like, yeah, it seems like something's going on
- 10:54Speaker 1: down there. But okayh like so sexually frustrated around like
- 10:59Speaker 1: punching other d It's whatever.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So I figure out, dude. I'm on the bus. I
- 11:03Speaker 2: go to Desert Canyon in middle.
- 11:04Speaker 1: School and I go on this bus.
- 11:07Speaker 2: And these seventh these eighth graders, I'm in seventh grade,
- 11:09Speaker 2: these eighth graders are talking about jerking off, and I'm
- 11:11Speaker 2: like in my head, like I've literally googled, like how
- 11:14Speaker 2: do you make yourself do it? Because I think to myself,
- 11:19Speaker 2: I'm thinking at this age, I'm like, oh, it only
- 11:21Speaker 2: works if a guy and if a girl does it
- 11:23Speaker 2: for you, Like that's the only way it happens, because.
- 11:25Speaker 1: That's how babies are making.
- 11:26Speaker 5: Right.
- 11:26Speaker 2: So I'm like lost, and I hear these kids about, yeah,
- 11:29Speaker 2: jerked off last night, Yeah get that, like they were
- 11:32Speaker 2: talking about all that stuff all the time. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
- 11:34Speaker 2: oh yeah, yeah, you're time this week like all that krads.
- 11:36Speaker 2: I'm like yo, and I'm i'ma sit like two rows
- 11:38Speaker 2: in from I'm like, Yo, my mind is blown dude.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm like, my mind is blowing up. I'm like, holy shit,
- 11:44Speaker 1: you can do it yourself. You can do it yourself.
- 11:49Speaker 2: So I rip over to the house as fast as
- 11:51Speaker 2: I can, dude. I get home, parents aren't home, and
- 11:55Speaker 2: I start to start to watch them porn. But I'm like, ah, dude,
- 11:57Speaker 2: I don't want to get caught, So I like wait
- 11:58Speaker 2: till my I wait. My mom like comes home fifteen
- 12:00Speaker 2: minutes and I was like, dude, you're on top of it.
- 12:02Speaker 2: You knew she was coming home. Yeah, So I'll wait
- 12:04Speaker 2: till she goes asleep. I'm in the living room. Do
- 12:06Speaker 2: we have one computer in the living room? In the
- 12:10Speaker 2: living room now and moved and I'm watching do you
- 12:14Speaker 2: remember LimeWire frost wire? Yeah, just like just like HIV
- 12:18Speaker 2: and AIDS for all computers everywhere, and I was downloading
- 12:21Speaker 2: some shit. I don't even know what I was looking at, dude,
- 12:23Speaker 2: but I'm kind of like just like just tugging at it.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I'm not really doing nothing. I don't really know what's
- 12:29Speaker 2: going on, dude. And all of a sudden, like I'm
- 12:30Speaker 2: sitting there and I'm like watching it all right, cook
- 12:34Speaker 2: in my leg starts like going like shaking like this.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I'm like, yo, what is what is what is happening?
- 12:41Speaker 2: And I just made a mess? Dude made an absolute mess.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Keyboard was never the same. Hey, dude, that that was.
- 12:52Speaker 2: That was the first time dude been chasing that high
- 12:55Speaker 2: ever since.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Chasing that high. Dude out there, like God, I gotta
- 13:01Speaker 1: get back on to get back on that train.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Had I get back on the train where you can
- 13:03Speaker 2: do multi every once in a while, Every once in
- 13:05Speaker 2: a while you get one back back.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That was time of like it. That was like an
- 13:09Speaker 1: You're just like you're stoked about it.
- 13:11Speaker 3: You're distraught about the first time it happens.
- 13:13Speaker 1: You're like, what ye did I just do clean this
- 13:16Speaker 1: up now, dude, I have.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Some funny stories. Man, we can do it. We can
- 13:21Speaker 2: ruttle that off onother podcast.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I want to hear your story.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Go ahead, we got wrong, We got wrong. Yeah, he
- 13:29Speaker 2: wants to hear it, but rom hey, you better think
- 13:31Speaker 2: of yours too, because we're coming.
- 13:32Speaker 3: To your next You got you gotta think of yours.
- 13:34Speaker 3: You gotta have something, so I uh, he's kind of
- 13:38Speaker 3: the same. His coach gonna get pissed. I'm sitting there
- 13:46Speaker 3: figuring out.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Okay, my buddies told me this is how I do it.
- 13:50Speaker 2: So I'm gonna get you your buddies, Yeah, my buddies, Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 2: my buddy. So sitting in the bathroom, Run the shower,
- 13:57Speaker 2: obviously taking a shower, get out the lotion, make a
- 14:02Speaker 2: little scene about it.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Start, you know, going to work. Boys starts going to
- 14:06Speaker 3: work pretty quick, and obviously you know it doesn't It
- 14:08Speaker 3: doesn't last long for a young, youthful dude.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, or twenty seven years old and something like that.
- 14:13Speaker 1: If they keep going d my leg like yours did.
- 14:16Speaker 3: My left leg starts like twitching, and it starts like
- 14:19Speaker 3: leaning up like on the counter, and it's just like ah,
- 14:24Speaker 3: and it just goes everywhere fastward. The next night, can't
- 14:27Speaker 3: wait to do it again. I already start taking a shower.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm gonna do this, do this in the shower.
- 14:32Speaker 3: That's why I had to learn the hard way about shampoo.
- 14:34Speaker 3: So I'm like, oh, what can I use in the
- 14:36Speaker 3: shower because the lotion was falling off way too quick
- 14:38Speaker 3: the same work, and I gotta I can think, come
- 14:40Speaker 3: think shampoo. So I start going to work a shampoo. Well,
- 14:46Speaker 3: this one's hilarious because I didn't go the second time
- 14:49Speaker 3: calls a shot.
- 14:50Speaker 1: This one's.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I thought I was about to a and then I
- 14:55Speaker 3: just started pissing. Oh no, no, that wasn't it.
- 15:05Speaker 1: That, that wasn't it. That wasn't And as I.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Started going, that's when I started burning the shampoo.
- 15:12Speaker 3: And that's why. That's when you knew soap was just
- 15:14Speaker 3: off limits. After that point, I used to do some
- 15:16Speaker 3: weird ship though. Back in my day.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Man like, yeah, I feel like when you're that young
- 15:20Speaker 2: of an age, you'll try anything.
- 15:21Speaker 3: You're just an animal.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, oh dude, no question, You'll go dude, and you'll
- 15:25Speaker 2: just look at stuff. I remember being like eight and
- 15:28Speaker 2: looking at a shoe box and the little hole in
- 15:30Speaker 2: the shoe box being like I could that could be
- 15:33Speaker 2: saying like I'm like in my head, like that could
- 15:34Speaker 2: be something like I don't know or I don't know,
- 15:37Speaker 2: just a pillow laying there helplessly like there is stuffed animal, Like,
- 15:47Speaker 2: oh you're in what's happened to you?
- 15:50Speaker 3: Dude?
- 15:51Speaker 2: I'm tearing up, man, dude, So who you got taken
- 15:56Speaker 2: this thing? In Game seven?
- 15:58Speaker 3: Now, obviously by the time this releases, it's gonna be over, Like,
- 16:01Speaker 3: are gonna be decided Game seven tomorrow?
- 16:06Speaker 7: I think Boston Honestly, yeah, I think Boston's going to win.
- 16:09Speaker 7: They just have so much experience with game sevens and
- 16:11Speaker 7: a bunch of guys have been there.
- 16:13Speaker 3: How much strategy is involved in like how much strategy
- 16:17Speaker 3: plays into hockey, because we were talking about one game
- 16:20Speaker 3: in a seven game series, Like, dude, if we played
- 16:22Speaker 3: seven game series, there would be so much frustration seven
- 16:26Speaker 3: because it's such a strategic game in football, like game
- 16:30Speaker 3: preparation everything on, like being on your p's and q's,
- 16:34Speaker 3: Like I don't know what you guys look at, but
- 16:36Speaker 3: I know from a defensive perspective, like it's all like
- 16:39Speaker 3: for what formations are coming out of what personnels, what
- 16:41Speaker 3: are their tendencies in this formation? YadA, YadA, YadA to
- 16:44Speaker 3: where you can kind of narrow some stuff down, and
- 16:46Speaker 3: by game seven, it's just like how many fucking trick
- 16:48Speaker 3: players are they gonna have or just tendency breakers that
- 16:50Speaker 3: they're gonna have?
- 16:51Speaker 2: Now, Like what is that?
- 16:52Speaker 7: It's a lot different in hockey. It's a it's a
- 16:54Speaker 7: lot more instinct. There's obviously some strategy, there's systems and stuff. Funny,
- 16:58Speaker 7: you try to trust your team, but honestly, like once
- 17:01Speaker 7: you're out there, you're just playing like you you know
- 17:04Speaker 7: the system because you play it all year, and then
- 17:06Speaker 7: once you're out there, it's all instincts, like you're just
- 17:08Speaker 7: trying to read the game and trying to read and
- 17:10Speaker 7: react and like just talking to a bunch of you guys,
- 17:13Speaker 7: Like the our meetings are so short to compare to
- 17:16Speaker 7: you guys. Yeah, yeah, we have a meeting eting, like
- 17:18Speaker 7: we have a yeah, oh yeah we don't. We we
- 17:21Speaker 7: have like on game days we have a maybe half
- 17:23Speaker 7: an hour meeting and that's about it. Like we we
- 17:26Speaker 7: meet about the other team and it's pretty much half
- 17:29Speaker 7: an hour, not even sometimes and.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Then you're sharpen your skill. You're like your skills up
- 17:32Speaker 2: and I had to work on this, I work on that. Yeah,
- 17:35Speaker 2: that's crazy. I can't imagine playing as many games.
- 17:37Speaker 1: You guys. How many we play?
- 17:38Speaker 4: Eight eighty two?
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah, how many?
- 17:41Speaker 3: How much in between each game?
- 17:43Speaker 4: Two days normally?
- 17:44Speaker 3: And you guys just have like a thirty minute meeting.
- 17:46Speaker 7: Yeah, well we have like we have meetings some on
- 17:48Speaker 7: practice days and we just go over the game for
- 17:50Speaker 7: like twenty minutes.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Just play.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's gonna be so much more fun than like football.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Like football, you're like, okay, boys, like the Monday meeting, Kay,
- 18:00Speaker 2: we played awesome or we played shitty and we had
- 18:02Speaker 2: to work on this. Tuesdays off, Wednesday practice, Thursday practice,
- 18:06Speaker 2: Friday practice, Saturday.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Walking and you guys are there from what we're eight
- 18:10Speaker 4: to five every day.
- 18:12Speaker 2: It's like it for us, it's really like seven seven
- 18:14Speaker 2: to five. Yeah, and like there's so much taking here
- 18:17Speaker 2: your body because you're banging all the time. Like we
- 18:19Speaker 2: got to hit I mean fun, but you guys hit
- 18:21Speaker 2: all time too.
- 18:21Speaker 4: We do.
- 18:22Speaker 1: But field, like April May, how's that feeling?
- 18:25Speaker 4: Honestly, it just depends on the games.
- 18:27Speaker 7: It's a it's not playoffs is playoffs is tough, Like
- 18:30Speaker 7: you get beat up in playoffs, but during the year
- 18:33Speaker 7: it's it's I mean, there's guys who play a different
- 18:35Speaker 7: way too.
- 18:36Speaker 4: There's guys who hit all the time.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Here's your here's your first train.
- 18:41Speaker 1: This should be an honor. Like every Bust with the
- 18:43Speaker 1: Boys podcast was always always a train that goes by. Dude,
- 18:46Speaker 1: we just fight through adversity around here.
- 18:48Speaker 7: But I'm sorry to interrupt you, but yeah, there's just
- 18:52Speaker 7: I mean, like I said, like on a on a
- 18:54Speaker 7: practice that we barely practice anymore. We just play games
- 18:56Speaker 7: and then the next day we might practice, but we
- 18:58Speaker 7: practice for them half an hour with the rink for
- 19:01Speaker 7: two and a half hours max. And then you can
- 19:03Speaker 7: get to go home and relax. So it's it's a
- 19:06Speaker 7: lot of games and not a lot of practice.
- 19:08Speaker 1: So your your days aren't very full.
- 19:10Speaker 5: No.
- 19:11Speaker 7: We we get to rink and maybe like ten the
- 19:15Speaker 7: day after a game and practice at twelve get out
- 19:18Speaker 7: of there by one.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Dude, Jesus, that was great.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Fun too, because like he said, instinct like you're trying
- 19:23Speaker 3: to kill myself right now, dude, because for us, he's
- 19:27Speaker 3: like a different Wednesdays. The focus is like first and
- 19:30Speaker 3: second down Thursdays is what third down, third down Fridays,
- 19:34Speaker 3: Red Days is red zone in some two minutes Saturdays.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Like you put it all together through walkers and stuff
- 19:41Speaker 3: like that.
- 19:41Speaker 1: If your first top ten players or whatever, yeah, your
- 19:44Speaker 1: top ten calls.
- 19:45Speaker 4: Well, it's impressive how many players you guys have to know?
- 19:47Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 19:47Speaker 2: It's dude, it is, but like you can do like
- 19:49Speaker 2: it's just like any studying anything, like the word association.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Like these these players are all grouped together in a
- 19:54Speaker 1: certain way.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Like all these are all outside zones. A couple of
- 19:57Speaker 2: nuances here the inside zones. Okay, these are the unique
- 20:00Speaker 2: pin poll schemes or the like the taxis and everything
- 20:02Speaker 2: like that. That's the stuff that's crazy. But do you
- 20:05Speaker 2: do you guys like have like defenses they obviously you do,
- 20:08Speaker 2: like power players. The guy chilling down there.
- 20:11Speaker 7: We got systems like and and our systems are all
- 20:13Speaker 7: like whoever, there's five guys on the ice, so there's
- 20:16Speaker 7: the system is like for the five guys, Like we
- 20:18Speaker 7: don't have like a defense and an offense. Obviously the
- 20:21Speaker 7: defense plays a little different than the offensive players.
- 20:23Speaker 4: But our city a team make sure behind our.
- 20:27Speaker 7: System is all team based, so it's like whatever we do,
- 20:30Speaker 7: like like playing defense, our forwards have to play defense too.
- 20:34Speaker 7: They they can't just play offense. Once we get the park,
- 20:36Speaker 7: they play offense. But if the other a team has
- 20:38Speaker 7: the park, everybody plays defense. So it's not just a
- 20:40Speaker 7: defend that played defense.
- 20:42Speaker 2: What was your what was your process like getting to
- 20:44Speaker 2: the league. Like my brother, My brother played juniors, he
- 20:47Speaker 2: got drafted by Corpus Christie. It was like playing for
- 20:50Speaker 2: Metro Moose and a bunch of stuff like that. And
- 20:52Speaker 2: then my brother in law he played juniors pay for
- 20:55Speaker 2: like the the Colowna Rockets. Oh he did, Yeah, he
- 20:58Speaker 2: played for the Colna Rockets, which he wheber. He also
- 21:01Speaker 2: played for them too, Right, So I kind of get it.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I've been around for hockey my whole life. My dad's
- 21:06Speaker 2: from me Diyna, Minnesota, And so I played hockey as
- 21:09Speaker 2: a mite.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I was eight. It was a stud dude. I could dangle. Yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 1: I was dec I was like, I was like, I
- 21:15Speaker 1: was the most coordinated eight year old. How's that sound?
- 21:17Speaker 2: And then we went to pee wee or whatever it is?
- 21:19Speaker 2: And I got we went to like do a travel
- 21:21Speaker 2: team and I got checked.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I got hit. You I got de iced, ord skated
- 21:25Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 21:26Speaker 2: I was out of there. I quit never played because
- 21:30Speaker 2: I got hit. Now I get it, it's awful. I quit, dude.
- 21:35Speaker 2: I quit football when I was younger too, for the
- 21:37Speaker 2: same reason. I got tackled. I was like, I'm out
- 21:39Speaker 2: here done.
- 21:40Speaker 4: You don't like getny hit?
- 21:41Speaker 1: I love it now. I don't mind it now, I know.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I think. I think it's all relative. I don't mind.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I think I like.
- 21:46Speaker 2: I like hitting someone way more than getting that is
- 21:48Speaker 2: not for But yeah, dude, when I was younger, I
- 21:51Speaker 2: was a little bitch. I would like I got hit.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I was like, fuck this, dude, I'm out of here.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I don't want I want nothing to do with this,
- 21:57Speaker 2: so I quit.
- 21:58Speaker 7: Well, hockey is different though. Hockey you can like kind
- 22:00Speaker 7: of you guys don't get hit. Yeah, you do, but
- 22:04Speaker 7: there's a couple of big hits once in a while.
- 22:05Speaker 7: But there's also games where you like, depending on the situation,
- 22:09Speaker 7: like you have to hit one a guy like every play,
- 22:11Speaker 7: Like we don't have to do that. Like there's some
- 22:13Speaker 7: place where you have to hit a guy or you
- 22:15Speaker 7: get hit, but it's it's not as often.
- 22:18Speaker 3: So your process growing, your process growing up.
- 22:21Speaker 7: Yeah, so I played. I played in Switzerland my whole life.
- 22:23Speaker 7: I grew up in burn, Switzerland, not Sweden.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yep, excuse me, Yeah, made that mistake before the podcast.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Never do that again.
- 22:31Speaker 7: But yeah, I grew up there and played for my
- 22:33Speaker 7: hometown team pretty much my whole life and played there
- 22:38Speaker 7: till I was sixteen, and then I turned pro in Switzerland,
- 22:41Speaker 7: played for my hometown team.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Again sixteen years old. You turn pro?
- 22:44Speaker 4: Well, seventeen was my first season, Yeah, jesus.
- 22:46Speaker 2: It happens young, like if you're not a hockey young like, yeah.
- 22:49Speaker 4: But it's different over here.
- 22:50Speaker 7: It's like like you said, like they played juniors over here,
- 22:53Speaker 7: and then you get drafted and then you make the
- 22:56Speaker 7: NHL or go to the AHL.
- 22:57Speaker 3: But so when when you said it's different over here,
- 22:59Speaker 3: you get and then they get drafted, what age are
- 23:01Speaker 3: they getting drafted to? The eighteen high in your pro
- 23:05Speaker 3: at like sixteen seventeen over seventeen?
- 23:07Speaker 7: Yeah, but then I got drafted. I was eighteen too,
- 23:09Speaker 7: and then once you drafted, you can play in the NHL.
- 23:12Speaker 7: But I played, uh two more years after that in
- 23:15Speaker 7: Switzerland and then I came over.
- 23:17Speaker 3: After getting drafted. You played two more years of Switzerland.
- 23:20Speaker 3: How did that work? How does that work?
- 23:21Speaker 1: It's is it similar to like like an go ahead?
- 23:25Speaker 7: I know, well, the leagues are good over there, like
- 23:27Speaker 7: the European leagues. The hockey leagues are pretty good. I
- 23:29Speaker 7: don't know if you know. Austin Matthews played in He
- 23:32Speaker 7: was the first oral pick. He played in Switzerland the
- 23:34Speaker 7: year before before he got drafted. Because it's a really
- 23:36Speaker 7: good league. It's fast and and you're playing against man
- 23:39Speaker 7: so it's they're all strong and it's a it's a
- 23:42Speaker 7: really good league. So I for me, I was gonna
- 23:45Speaker 7: make it right to the NHL. So I decided to
- 23:47Speaker 7: to play there one I think it was one more
- 23:49Speaker 7: year or two more years and and just try to
- 23:51Speaker 7: work on my game, get better, get stronger, and then
- 23:54Speaker 7: then I came over. But I mean, some guys make
- 23:56Speaker 7: it right to the NHL. But it's probably similar in football,
- 23:58Speaker 7: like it's only the real talent guy that make it
- 24:00Speaker 7: right away, like it takes time.
- 24:03Speaker 2: The difference between hockey and football is hockey, you get
- 24:05Speaker 2: drafted at a high school or when you're eighteen seventeen,
- 24:07Speaker 2: eighteen years old, and then you have the choice.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You can go.
- 24:11Speaker 2: You can go to the league, right, and then try
- 24:12Speaker 2: to make a team or go down to their minor
- 24:14Speaker 2: league teams. Or you can go to college and play.
- 24:18Speaker 2: And if you go to college, you can only play
- 24:19Speaker 2: one year and then you can go play NHL and football.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You have to be three years removed from high school.
- 24:25Speaker 2: So I so when whatever, I was seventeen when I
- 24:28Speaker 2: graduated high school, so when I was twenty, I was
- 24:30Speaker 2: eligible to play football. But like the dudes in the States,
- 24:33Speaker 2: because like in Canada, like you just play where you're from, right,
- 24:36Speaker 2: and you just do your thing. In Europe, like you
- 24:39Speaker 2: do this, like you play where you're from, and then
- 24:40Speaker 2: you you go pro there and then you do the
- 24:42Speaker 2: process you just said. Like in the States, like I
- 24:45Speaker 2: know some kids that are from Arizona that like fourteen
- 24:48Speaker 2: fifteen years old had to go move to like Michigan
- 24:51Speaker 2: or minnesot because I think the USA team plays in
- 24:54Speaker 2: Michigan in and our breast, so which is where the
- 24:57Speaker 2: school I went to. And so you're living with a
- 24:59Speaker 2: billet family, yeah, and you're like you live with a
- 25:01Speaker 2: different family at fourteen fifteen years old, and like your boys,
- 25:04Speaker 2: your hockey guys, and that's it. Then you go play college, Yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 2: and then at any time in college you can just dip.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:10Speaker 3: And like NHL, it sounds like you can have more development,
- 25:14Speaker 3: more of a developmental stage because in the NFL, like
- 25:16Speaker 3: if you're not ready to go once you're ready, once
- 25:18Speaker 3: you enter the draft, like you're not gonna there's only
- 25:21Speaker 3: gonna be very few guys who are on a practice squad,
- 25:24Speaker 3: Like I couldn't have been drafted by somebody and then
- 25:27Speaker 3: played somewhere else for a year, so they can kind of,
- 25:29Speaker 3: I don't know, they get better. Did that team help you?
- 25:31Speaker 3: Like when they drafted you, they knew you were gonna
- 25:32Speaker 3: play in Switzerland for another year or two and wanted
- 25:34Speaker 3: you to develop more and work on certain aspects of
- 25:36Speaker 3: your game.
- 25:36Speaker 7: And then I came over and I played in Milwaukee
- 25:39Speaker 7: for a year in the AHL. So for me, it
- 25:42Speaker 7: was like that's in hockey. It's it's pretty nice because
- 25:45Speaker 7: you can, like you can play if you don't make
- 25:47Speaker 7: it the NHL, you can play in Europe and it's
- 25:49Speaker 7: a pretty good league, or you can play in the
- 25:50Speaker 7: AHL and the AHL is good too, like it It
- 25:52Speaker 7: was great for me because I came over from Switzerland
- 25:55Speaker 7: and the game is a lot diff from over there
- 25:56Speaker 7: because it's a bigger ice rink and stuff. So there's
- 25:59Speaker 7: so many things I had to learn and just get
- 26:01Speaker 7: stronger and get used to the North American game.
- 26:03Speaker 4: And for me, playing the walker from for one year
- 26:06Speaker 4: was huge.
- 26:08Speaker 2: That's a wild game. And so you from Milwaukee went
- 26:11Speaker 2: to the Predators. Yeah, and you've been here the whole time? Yeah,
- 26:14Speaker 2: how has that been like when you're your first year?
- 26:16Speaker 1: What was that like?
- 26:17Speaker 4: It was awesome.
- 26:17Speaker 7: Well, when I got drafted, I got drafted by Nashville,
- 26:20Speaker 7: I was like, where's Nashville?
- 26:24Speaker 4: Like never so.
- 26:26Speaker 7: Yeah, and then I came my first year he was
- 26:29Speaker 7: it was unreal, Like, to be honest, like everybody thinks
- 26:32Speaker 7: hockey is only growing the last couple of years because
- 26:34Speaker 7: he made it to the finalists. But even even my
- 26:36Speaker 7: first year here playing at bridgetone was was unbelievable. Like
- 26:39Speaker 7: it was loud, it was wild. The fans, the fans
- 26:42Speaker 7: are unreal. And obviously with making it to the finals,
- 26:45Speaker 7: we got the whole city kind of came behind us.
- 26:48Speaker 4: But even before it was awesome, Like.
- 26:51Speaker 2: You guys are studs, dude, the way you guys like,
- 26:55Speaker 2: I don't know, you guys got this energy about you,
- 26:56Speaker 2: like the well, the first off, all the fans are crazy,
- 26:59Speaker 2: like they're they're unbelievab.
- 27:00Speaker 1: They're all so cool.
- 27:01Speaker 2: How everyone's so close, and like if you go and
- 27:03Speaker 2: talk to somebody from Nashville, they have no idea what
- 27:06Speaker 2: hockey even, like you know what I'm saying, But they've
- 27:08Speaker 2: educated themselves and they know, like, hey, well the puck
- 27:11Speaker 2: goes pesta blue line, everyone's gotta go back. You got
- 27:14Speaker 2: to shill for a second and then they gotta go back,
- 27:16Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. And it's just like it's
- 27:18Speaker 2: wild and like growing up watching hockey like that was
- 27:20Speaker 2: a sport to me, Like that was my favorite sport
- 27:22Speaker 2: to watch. And to come and watch you guys and
- 27:25Speaker 2: kind of get to know you guys a little bit.
- 27:26Speaker 2: That's been that's been the coolest thing. Like my dad
- 27:28Speaker 2: and my brother are like, okay, you know Romanosi.
- 27:32Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, we're actually boys. Got his phone number
- 27:35Speaker 1: right here, dude, Yeah, am I going to his wedding?
- 27:38Speaker 2: I can't make it. I must have got lost in
- 27:40Speaker 2: the mail. Took my AOL account.
- 27:42Speaker 3: Yeah to me, I was like, I'm like, the guys,
- 27:44Speaker 3: you explained like I didn't most I know about hockey
- 27:47Speaker 3: is like playing it on the video game and just
- 27:48Speaker 3: kind of learning and bandwagon rooting for freaking Alex Ovechkin
- 27:54Speaker 3: being up and out in DC. So, dude, being in
- 27:57Speaker 3: hockey games are It's my favorite sport to watch live.
- 28:00Speaker 3: I mean the energy like it.
- 28:01Speaker 2: It's fast paced, like dude, you get.
- 28:04Speaker 4: But Bridgestone is not a level too like Bridgetone. Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 4: it's like it's Andrea.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Like, have you played?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Have you played in Washington? And Bridgetone is better?
- 28:13Speaker 4: I think?
- 28:13Speaker 7: So, Okay, Washington's good too, but Bridgestone is just it's
- 28:17Speaker 7: a different atmosphere, like it's it's like a college game
- 28:19Speaker 7: like deaf Chance and everything.
- 28:21Speaker 4: That that doesn't have.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Awesome, man, I haven't been to one yet in Bridgestone.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Oh you haven't.
- 28:25Speaker 3: No, I haven't been. When you haven't slept the catfish?
- 28:28Speaker 3: I have watched the boy role.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Play given what a cat fish?
- 28:33Speaker 3: The catfish? Catfish? Ain't that what you do?
- 28:35Speaker 1: You slap them? You slap them?
- 28:37Speaker 2: Do you you chucked from the catfish?
- 28:39Speaker 3: What you're talking about?
- 28:40Speaker 4: Go fish? The catfish with the term ironic on time?
- 28:42Speaker 1: Dude, that was the coolest thing ever. Well, No, we
- 28:44Speaker 1: had like a we had like an already dead one
- 28:46Speaker 1: in there.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Oh really yeah, And like with that pond where we
- 28:48Speaker 2: were out outside of the tits facility, the whole facility
- 28:51Speaker 2: used to be a dump, like there's like trash and
- 28:54Speaker 2: they turned into a pond. And I guess there's like
- 28:57Speaker 2: a rumor like they paid in off its alignment, like
- 28:59Speaker 2: fifteen K to swim across the pond and ain't it
- 29:02Speaker 2: ain't no like basic swim, like you got to know
- 29:05Speaker 2: your ship a little bit to get across that thing.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And the guy swim across it and he was like dead,
- 29:11Speaker 2: Like he was like so sick for weeks because that
- 29:14Speaker 2: water is so contaminated really, and so like they're like
- 29:17Speaker 2: they're like, hey, they want you because we just did
- 29:19Speaker 2: the the catfish thing with the I think it was
- 29:23Speaker 2: the first time we already we only did it once.
- 29:25Speaker 2: It was before like we chugged it off the catfish
- 29:27Speaker 2: or whatever. And they like they're like, hey, NHL is
- 29:30Speaker 2: coming for the finals. They want to do a thing
- 29:32Speaker 2: with you and Ronick. And I'm like, Jeremy Ronick, you
- 29:35Speaker 2: mean the guy who played for the Coyotes, who was
- 29:38Speaker 2: like I mean he played for the Fly the Flyers
- 29:41Speaker 2: Philip phil Flyers for a little bit. Yeah, and he's
- 29:46Speaker 2: like a legend. Yeah, and so I was like, yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 2: I was fired up about it. But this dude was
- 29:50Speaker 2: started like uh, he gets into it. And we were
- 29:53Speaker 2: out at the pond. I'm like, hey, you should, uh
- 29:55Speaker 2: just just know that that's some dirty water.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Be careful.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And he was like I appreciate ate that. And the
- 30:00Speaker 2: guy's like, all right, here's what we're gonna do. You're
- 30:02Speaker 2: gonna get in the water. And they said action and
- 30:04Speaker 2: Ronick dives into the water. Dude like mouths the water
- 30:08Speaker 2: and like spits it up at home and I'm like,
- 30:10Speaker 2: this man is gonna die, dude, He's gonna and I'm
- 30:12Speaker 2: gonna be.
- 30:15Speaker 1: And dud. It was fun, dude.
- 30:16Speaker 2: He like he gets into it. He's a fun time
- 30:18Speaker 2: for sure. Yeah, he definitely gets after it, dude. I
- 30:22Speaker 2: do you know a guy named Bob Corkham. He was
- 30:25Speaker 2: like a fourth line guy for the for the Coyotes forever.
- 30:27Speaker 2: But like when I was really young, his hint, his kid,
- 30:30Speaker 2: his family lived in our neighborhood and we'd play like
- 30:33Speaker 2: roller hockey every single day together after after school.
- 30:37Speaker 1: It was the best. It's like one of Dude.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I went to a couple, went to a couple of
- 30:41Speaker 2: Coyotes games, went to Roadrunners games, like, we had a
- 30:44Speaker 2: lot of fun out there. But I never like really
- 30:46Speaker 2: invested into hockey until I got to Nashville. And when
- 30:49Speaker 2: I got to Nashville, I mean, we did the Catfish
- 30:52Speaker 2: thing and that was awesome.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Like I remember.
- 30:57Speaker 4: The Finalists, wasn't it.
- 31:01Speaker 2: No, the I think the Finals was the That was
- 31:03Speaker 2: the loge thing we did. Do you guys watch that stuff?
- 31:06Speaker 2: Do you realize you guys, guys the boys up, they're
- 31:11Speaker 2: just pounding beer?
- 31:13Speaker 1: Dude?
- 31:13Speaker 4: I had that's for sure.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Do you guys really dude?
- 31:16Speaker 2: Because I was stay in my head, I'm like, yeah,
- 31:18Speaker 2: I gotta get these boys, like, you know, you gotta
- 31:20Speaker 2: pump yourself up, like give yourself a reason. I mean,
- 31:22Speaker 2: I get so fired enough to pump you dudes up.
- 31:24Speaker 2: And we're like, I remember, we're sitting back there and
- 31:26Speaker 2: it's all the boys and they're like wives or girlfriends,
- 31:28Speaker 2: and really it was like, a we want Marcus to
- 31:31Speaker 2: be there, but Marcus is not the most outgoing guy
- 31:33Speaker 2: in the world. So we'll bring the off to line.
- 31:35Speaker 2: And like, as soon as I knew we were in it. Well,
- 31:38Speaker 2: I bought a catfish. I'm gonna go through security and
- 31:41Speaker 2: I'm talking to the boys and I'm like, all right, boys,
- 31:43Speaker 2: Like what do you guys want to do?
- 31:44Speaker 1: And like, well, maybe we should just wave towels like
- 31:47Speaker 1: everybody else.
- 31:47Speaker 2: And I'm like, let's go, like, we're not gonna do that,
- 31:50Speaker 2: like y be basic af Like let's get this thing going.
- 31:53Speaker 2: It's like we're chugging. I'm gonna, we're gona, I'm gonna
- 31:55Speaker 2: hold this thing up. We're gonna, we're gonna slap the
- 31:57Speaker 2: twenty four ounces and we're gonna put those things down, dude,
- 32:00Speaker 2: as fast as we can. And they were kind of
- 32:02Speaker 2: iffy about it. And then they bought in dude, and
- 32:04Speaker 2: it just it totally took.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Off after Yeah, it kind of did.
- 32:09Speaker 4: Remember we came to your game, dude, I was gonna
- 32:12Speaker 4: bring that up. They all brought catfish up, you.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Guys will I remember it was like it was right
- 32:16Speaker 1: before you renounced captain.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Right, yeah, the next season right after it, because yeah.
- 32:21Speaker 2: What fish or not Fish and Weber were gone right
- 32:24Speaker 2: or maybe fish before and and so I remember, like
- 32:28Speaker 2: you guys came out. I was kind of watching on
- 32:30Speaker 2: you like put the sword down, And in my head,
- 32:32Speaker 2: I'm like, Yo, that dude, he's gonna be captain. Like
- 32:34Speaker 2: he's going to for sure be captain. That you guys
- 32:36Speaker 2: already knew, didn't you. No, you didn't know, you lion.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Cent, We didn't know. But I remember, like, was it
- 32:43Speaker 1: like halftime or something like that. It wasn't halftime.
- 32:45Speaker 4: It was before the game.
- 32:46Speaker 7: It was it was before you guys up in the Yeah,
- 32:49Speaker 7: it was like during the game, I think, yeah, because
- 32:51Speaker 7: it all brought Catfishop and we're all like getting.
- 32:55Speaker 3: They did they did? They display it on the screen.
- 32:56Speaker 1: They put it on the screen and they were all
- 32:58Speaker 1: like holding the calf fish up and the boys are
- 33:00Speaker 1: slamming and I'm like, I'm gonna fucking run through. That's
- 33:04Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do for the boys right here.
- 33:06Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 33:07Speaker 4: I was so fired up. That's what it is.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Though, How like how sick is it if you see
- 33:11Speaker 7: like we see you guys yeah in our suite, like
- 33:13Speaker 7: just finding the boys up and we come to your
- 33:16Speaker 7: game like it's the best, Like when you see our
- 33:18Speaker 7: athletes there and like you appreciate like the boys coming
- 33:21Speaker 7: out and because.
- 33:22Speaker 3: You're like, oh, did you see that? I'm just thinking, bro,
- 33:24Speaker 3: we were sitting on the I guess you guys already did,
- 33:26Speaker 3: but if we were sitting on the on the bench
- 33:28Speaker 3: and look up and the freaking hockey teams are pounding beer,
- 33:31Speaker 3: like yeah.
- 33:32Speaker 4: You're.
- 33:33Speaker 1: No doubt, no doubt. And then we did it again. Yeah, dude,
- 33:37Speaker 1: I got me so fired up.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I was so stoked you guys did it because in
- 33:40Speaker 2: my head, I'm like, yo, the boys, like we got
- 33:41Speaker 2: a little thing going. That's pretty cool now, and so
- 33:44Speaker 2: we did it like for the finals year, we did
- 33:47Speaker 2: the catfish lose thing and like we like they they
- 33:50Speaker 2: put the beers on top, and I'm like drowning literally
- 33:53Speaker 2: that catfish was like I didn't drink one ounce of
- 33:56Speaker 2: that beer, dude. I was just like trying to breathe
- 33:58Speaker 2: the whole time. And finally I get the fish. I'm
- 34:00Speaker 2: like holding it up and I'm so fired up, but
- 34:02Speaker 2: I'm also like trying to catch my breath and I
- 34:05Speaker 2: see their goalie and I just give them the bird.
- 34:08Speaker 2: And I gave him that bird so hard and I
- 34:10Speaker 2: came off, and uh, one of our PR guys goes
- 34:13Speaker 2: texts me, goes a little too much. And I was like, dude,
- 34:18Speaker 2: got the GM gave us a talk, Rabel gave us
- 34:21Speaker 2: a talk.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Dude.
- 34:22Speaker 2: They were like, hey, maybe just tone it down a
- 34:24Speaker 2: little bit, a little too much WWE or whatever. And
- 34:27Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know, man, I kind of
- 34:28Speaker 2: love it, love but there's like there's a there's a
- 34:32Speaker 2: big difference in like hockey etiquette and football etiquette.
- 34:35Speaker 1: I feel like for you guys to be able.
- 34:37Speaker 2: To fight and come off, go to the other box,
- 34:41Speaker 2: get out, like, that's gotta be like you gotta have
- 34:44Speaker 2: some self control to not just go back at that
- 34:45Speaker 2: dude and fight them again. And football, like, I don't
- 34:48Speaker 2: know if it's where like like a lot of dudes
- 34:51Speaker 2: in football, like we like everybody came from a different part,
- 34:54Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. I feel like hockey, I
- 34:56Speaker 2: don't know, it's it's a different situation, you know what
- 34:59Speaker 2: I'm trying to say.
- 35:00Speaker 7: But well, the fights are kind of like the fights
- 35:03Speaker 7: are more part of the game than aggression. Sometimes they're aggression,
- 35:06Speaker 7: like sometimes you I guess like the guys who actually
- 35:09Speaker 7: fight a lot, it's kind of part of the game.
- 35:11Speaker 4: They're trying to get the momentum for the for the
- 35:13Speaker 4: team or the boys. Yeah.
- 35:15Speaker 7: Yeah, they try to get the momentum, like you down,
- 35:17Speaker 7: like you're fighting someone you win to fight, it's like
- 35:20Speaker 7: something everybody gets fired up. And but but there's definitely
- 35:23Speaker 7: fights from aggression. Like there's some some players who don't
- 35:26Speaker 7: fight a lot. Sometimes they get into it with a
- 35:27Speaker 7: guy and and you fight. But that's I mean, that's
- 35:30Speaker 7: what's good about hockey, Like you can settle it right there. Yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 7: it's it's one against one. It's all like it's it's
- 35:36Speaker 7: not like both both guys have like a fair like
- 35:39Speaker 7: the same the same rules and stuff.
- 35:40Speaker 3: So they square.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Yeah, how's that's done? Like you go to the box
- 35:44Speaker 4: and implement it's pretty much sell.
- 35:47Speaker 3: That power play stuff like that. How is that coached?
- 35:51Speaker 3: Like how is that in the room coach? Because like
- 35:53Speaker 3: when we're coach, they're like not fight, not that guys
- 35:55Speaker 3: want to scare up and fight. Yes, yeah, yeah, but
- 35:58Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like when you're guys are
- 36:00Speaker 3: shoving after the play and basically can get a penalty.
- 36:02Speaker 3: We go through situations where you know he's basically you'll
- 36:06Speaker 3: walk away like you're not gonna do anything here besides
- 36:09Speaker 3: make it worse, like, how is that coach? How was
- 36:11Speaker 3: fighting coach and implemented in like a strategy or as
- 36:14Speaker 3: his locker room.
- 36:15Speaker 7: Well, it depends, like you you normally know the guy.
- 36:17Speaker 7: The guys who are fighting know when a good time
- 36:19Speaker 7: is to fight. Yeah, And it's always like if you
- 36:22Speaker 7: have a tough guy on the team, it's he's fighting
- 36:24Speaker 7: another tough guy. Like he's not gonna go after some
- 36:26Speaker 7: guy who never fights. Yeah, so he's going after the
- 36:28Speaker 7: other tough guy. And they're they're pretty much know when
- 36:32Speaker 7: when a good time is to fight. And it depends
- 36:34Speaker 7: on big games, the playoffs, there's not as many fights
- 36:36Speaker 7: because you want to you don't want to take a
- 36:38Speaker 7: penalty just for a fight and then then you're on
- 36:41Speaker 7: the box play So but yeah, are you a fighter
- 36:45Speaker 7: or you do?
- 36:46Speaker 3: You fight on?
- 36:47Speaker 1: Too skilled? Too skilled to fight one fight.
- 36:49Speaker 3: You gotta keep him sharp, man, you gotta keep him short.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Who's the who's the I hate that I don't know
- 36:53Speaker 3: this tough guy on the Predator, who's the one who.
- 36:55Speaker 7: Fights well, I would say Austin Watson, Cody McLeod. Last
- 36:59Speaker 7: year Austin Watson.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Brian Man. That guy was legendary.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Brian mcgrant. That's he used to be like really really tough, like.
- 37:09Speaker 3: The Yeah, is there conversations on the bench like, hey man,
- 37:12Speaker 3: we might need you to whoop somebody's ask to get
- 37:14Speaker 3: this thing going.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Like that, dude, if you guys have an opening, I
- 37:18Speaker 1: would absolutely love.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Are you coming for finding like happy Gilmore?
- 37:23Speaker 1: Well, have you ever seen the documentary Ice Guardians?
- 37:26Speaker 4: No?
- 37:27Speaker 1: Have you seen it?
- 37:28Speaker 2: No? It's unbelievable. It's about hockey like enforcers and how
- 37:31Speaker 2: like literally they'd be sitting there like their only role
- 37:33Speaker 2: like is the fight and then once once you get
- 37:35Speaker 2: to the playoffs or games that matter, you're at hs.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Yeah you're healthy.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Scratch, that doesn't happen.
- 37:41Speaker 7: There's there's not many guys like that anymore. Now everybody
- 37:44Speaker 7: has to play like everybody. There's a lot of like
- 37:47Speaker 7: tough guys like yeah, probably not documentary. Those guys were
- 37:50Speaker 7: like the cats.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Tom Wilson fights a lot.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Yeah, he's tough too.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Yeah he swings.
- 37:56Speaker 4: He's a really good player too.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Yeah, is there ever like, uh, you know, I should
- 38:00Speaker 2: funk with him because when you're at the games and
- 38:03Speaker 2: in between whistles, that's when guys are kind of trying
- 38:05Speaker 2: to off each other.
- 38:06Speaker 4: A little bit.
- 38:07Speaker 7: But it's almost like you like, guys know who's tough
- 38:10Speaker 7: and who's not. So it's like somebody if I go
- 38:13Speaker 7: up to a tough guy and go like he's gonna know,
- 38:16Speaker 7: like okay, like you're not going to fight me.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Or like a tough guy picks on you, not saying
- 38:22Speaker 3: you're not tough, but so the tough guy on the team,
- 38:25Speaker 3: he hey, like, you know, don't be a bitch like
- 38:27Speaker 3: you want to fight somebody fight me?
- 38:28Speaker 2: How did you?
- 38:29Speaker 1: How did your fight out? But how did your first
- 38:30Speaker 1: fight go?
- 38:31Speaker 7: It was okay, actually did you Yeah, I don't know,
- 38:35Speaker 7: it was it was more like wrestling match in the fight.
- 38:38Speaker 7: I didn't get any punched in but he didn't either.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Did you win the takedown? Did you win the takedown?
- 38:43Speaker 1: That's how you would go?
- 38:44Speaker 2: And you you were never a big fighter, Like do
- 38:46Speaker 2: you get after the gym or anything like that?
- 38:48Speaker 4: What fighting in the gym? No?
- 38:50Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Like, you know, you gotta
- 38:51Speaker 1: get in the gym a little bit if you want
- 38:54Speaker 1: to know.
- 38:54Speaker 7: But I was always I'm I was always kind of
- 38:57Speaker 7: weak a little bit, you know, I was I was
- 38:59Speaker 7: never strong guy, never strong guy, So I just never
- 39:02Speaker 7: and growing up in Europe, fighting is not like it's
- 39:04Speaker 7: more in North America than it is in Europe.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Americans, this is you, this is your fighting.
- 39:09Speaker 3: This is your fight.
- 39:11Speaker 1: Let's see, dude, let's see yos throw something bows here.
- 39:15Speaker 3: He's back there is it gonna go back?
- 39:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 39:22Speaker 2: Okay, let's go.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Boy there he's got him up against the boards.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Dude, that's.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Came over with a little chuck late dell over the top.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Of the tail of the tape. Yosi six one two
- 39:40Speaker 1: one five eight.
- 39:42Speaker 2: That's that sixty three guy that he talks about ship
- 39:45Speaker 2: he does yeh, he talks a lot of ship out there.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Do you chup?
- 39:49Speaker 3: Yeah? Do you chure?
- 39:50Speaker 4: Not really, dude, you got terrible.
- 39:53Speaker 1: What do you mean you're terrible at all?
- 39:54Speaker 4: I can.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Yeah, big, I'm big into I love it.
- 40:00Speaker 4: You're quick. You're probably just quick.
- 40:02Speaker 2: And like, yeah, well, dude, I get a lot of
- 40:03Speaker 2: my my ship from videos like this. I'll watch it
- 40:06Speaker 2: because my wife's from Canada, my brother and I've said
- 40:09Speaker 2: the whole thing. I literally grew up like watching hockey
- 40:12Speaker 2: and like football players like just say like rich like
- 40:16Speaker 2: n word, I'll shoot you. That is little I've been
- 40:18Speaker 2: told that I probably weak ass.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. I'm like, okay, whoa a little aggressive?
- 40:25Speaker 2: But like hockey players, dude, they say the fun they
- 40:27Speaker 2: call people wagons, like hockey lingo is the best, dude,
- 40:31Speaker 2: but they're like guys are wearing advisors back and then
- 40:33Speaker 2: they're like, hey, roll down your window before you talk
- 40:34Speaker 2: to me, bud, like just saying stuff like that, Oh dude,
- 40:38Speaker 2: it's so funny.
- 40:39Speaker 1: But everyone wears a visor.
- 40:40Speaker 4: You gotta have to quick like to be you kind
- 40:42Speaker 4: of have to be funny.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so many I'm just.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Like, well, I mean it's a second language too, right, English,
- 40:48Speaker 2: Like you gotta like, I'm sure you get some Russian
- 40:50Speaker 2: guyut there you're like, hey, what's up your pileon Guy's.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Just like dah, yeah, this guy doesn't want to talk
- 40:56Speaker 1: at all.
- 40:56Speaker 2: You're noble, somebody who probably thinks about it, not thinks
- 41:00Speaker 2: about it, but you just kind of know what you're.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Gonna go to.
- 41:02Speaker 2: I feel like, if you're gonna chirp, you gotta have
- 41:03Speaker 2: a couple in the back pocket.
- 41:04Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. Like, I don't know, I'm not
- 41:05Speaker 3: a big like.
- 41:06Speaker 4: You just to like she says something you gotta come back,
- 41:10Speaker 4: have something.
- 41:11Speaker 3: You know.
- 41:12Speaker 1: You got a couple who chirps in the team.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Austin Watson.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Watson sounds like a boy.
- 41:20Speaker 4: PK is good too?
- 41:21Speaker 1: Does he chirp?
- 41:21Speaker 4: He's quick?
- 41:22Speaker 1: Is he quick? Way?
- 41:23Speaker 3: Quick? And waity?
- 41:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 41:24Speaker 3: Did you say something good? One pussy?
- 41:28Speaker 1: Who's this just fighting?
- 41:30Speaker 4: That's Watson? Ye?
- 41:32Speaker 5: So yeah, this is Austin Watson fighting and it's a video.
- 41:35Speaker 5: They go to the box and they start hanging out
- 41:37Speaker 5: like or they start having a good conversation and there
- 41:40Speaker 5: the words come up on the screen.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Dude, it's the best water buddy, he was, We're gonna
- 41:52Speaker 1: work on our cardio this summer.
- 41:55Speaker 3: I'm dying after like ten seconds.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Man, Yeah, that's so funny, dude. They were really going
- 42:01Speaker 1: at it though. They were kind of like.
- 42:05Speaker 4: They know, it's kind of like.
- 42:07Speaker 7: It's it's just a fight, and it's not like I'm
- 42:10Speaker 7: sure there's aggression sometimes, like sometimes you get into it,
- 42:13Speaker 7: but a lot of times they fight to get the
- 42:14Speaker 7: momentum and stuff, and I remember then it's it's not
- 42:17Speaker 7: after the fight.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Oops.
- 42:20Speaker 2: No, I was just gonna say too.
- 42:21Speaker 8: It's like part of the culture to protect your like
- 42:24Speaker 8: you're like you guys Like I heard, uh what we
- 42:29Speaker 8: were talking. Wayne Gretzky was talking about his enforcer, that
- 42:32Speaker 8: mc sorlely guy, and he's like, I wouldn't have been
- 42:35Speaker 8: Gretzky without this guy.
- 42:36Speaker 3: You know, he protected me on the ice the whole time.
- 42:38Speaker 7: No, it's that's what it is, like, you like they
- 42:41Speaker 7: protect the star players, like they make sure everything everything
- 42:44Speaker 7: is like in order. Like guys don't like do any
- 42:48Speaker 7: cheap shots on on the star players. And I mean,
- 42:50Speaker 7: I have so much respect for those guys. It's it's
- 42:53Speaker 7: I mean, they're tough, and you're out there on the
- 42:55Speaker 7: ice and you see them fight, You're like, wow.
- 42:57Speaker 2: Dude, there's there's such a respect factor in hockey that
- 42:59Speaker 2: I pre shades so much. Like I love it when
- 43:02Speaker 2: guys will skate up on the goalie ica gooy a
- 43:04Speaker 2: little bit, and you guys are just on them.
- 43:06Speaker 1: It doesn't matter how big the dude is. You guys
- 43:07Speaker 1: just take care of your boys.
- 43:09Speaker 2: At the quarterback, they hit the quarterback, everyone's around them, dude.
- 43:14Speaker 2: You gotta look out for the boys, dude. That's that's
- 43:16Speaker 2: one thing.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Dude.
- 43:17Speaker 2: This is a lung buss. That's one thing you gotta
- 43:20Speaker 2: uh yeah, long train. Sorry, dude, I am literally CT
- 43:24Speaker 2: right now.
- 43:26Speaker 1: It's bad, dude.
- 43:28Speaker 2: You gotta like, I don't know, it's just crazy how
- 43:30Speaker 2: you guys look out for your own out there and
- 43:32Speaker 2: like the boys are always looking.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Out for the boys.
- 43:34Speaker 2: What uh did you see that video in the finals
- 43:36Speaker 2: a couple of years ago when p K was just
- 43:38Speaker 2: like jabbing Crosby in the head in the back of
- 43:41Speaker 2: the What was going on with that?
- 43:44Speaker 7: They were, Yeah, they're going at it for a couple
- 43:48Speaker 7: of times, and a couple of big name guys too,
- 43:50Speaker 7: because he said something about I don't know if you
- 43:52Speaker 7: guys saw that about his like he p K said
- 43:57Speaker 7: something that Crosby called him out that he has brath and.
- 44:00Speaker 4: If he got shot up.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Amen, amen, you want to men?
- 44:05Speaker 4: Then they had like the whole they were kind of
- 44:07Speaker 4: going at it.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Oh sh no, it was opposite. It was super getting.
- 44:11Speaker 4: But is good he gets like like I said, he's
- 44:14Speaker 4: good at chirping to.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you not beat the ship out of
- 44:17Speaker 1: that guy for that? Dude? You can't be fucking tired
- 44:19Speaker 1: man loom hold him in the headlock. Yeah, I'd be
- 44:23Speaker 1: so mad if I was supern was he going? That
- 44:29Speaker 1: was a tough series to watch, man.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I was there for all those games, every game you
- 44:32Speaker 2: guys had a Yeah, well all all these final games
- 44:36Speaker 2: for sure, because I got those the I got season tickets,
- 44:40Speaker 2: and I'm like two rows behind the bench. Every once
- 44:41Speaker 2: in a while, we walk on, I know. Yeah, we
- 44:43Speaker 2: gotta give each a little nod.
- 44:44Speaker 1: We do, we move on.
- 44:45Speaker 7: I remember that picture you posted a butt when you're
- 44:48Speaker 7: standing behind Phil and you were staying like this.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, just like just staring at Phil.
- 44:53Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, he's he good, dude, Yes, yeah, he's awesome.
- 44:57Speaker 1: That's a couple of years ago. Dude.
- 44:59Speaker 2: I didn't make it one game this year. I know,
- 45:01Speaker 2: I know I'm a bastard, but I should have definitely
- 45:04Speaker 2: made it.
- 45:06Speaker 4: Will have got one? Yeah, we gotta. I know.
- 45:08Speaker 3: I want to go to one.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:09Speaker 2: I love the hockey environment.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Do you also?
- 45:11Speaker 1: You make it to a lot of Titan games.
- 45:14Speaker 4: I tried to at least once or twice a year.
- 45:17Speaker 4: Did you this year?
- 45:20Speaker 5: No?
- 45:20Speaker 4: I didn't. I didn't last year either, actually, but we
- 45:23Speaker 4: tried to.
- 45:23Speaker 7: But it's tough for our schedule because you guys play
- 45:27Speaker 7: what eight home games, so sometimes we're on the road
- 45:30Speaker 7: or like we play Saturday night. But I love watching
- 45:33Speaker 7: you guys play. It's awesome. Yeah, I mean I want
- 45:35Speaker 7: to come to a couple more if if you have
- 45:37Speaker 7: a chance, for sure, Dude, you.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Ever need tickets, you let me know. I got you.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Are you? Do you understand the game? I do?
- 45:43Speaker 3: Ye?
- 45:44Speaker 2: Did you know before you came over here? I did not?
- 45:47Speaker 7: Actually, well, we we used we used to watch the
- 45:49Speaker 7: super Bowl in Switzerland. It's like a thing to watch
- 45:51Speaker 7: the super Bowl. Does it come on there like three am?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Perfect time.
- 45:56Speaker 7: We would only watch the super Bowl. We didn't see
- 45:58Speaker 7: any other games. And then I came over and uh,
- 46:00Speaker 7: like I said, I played in Milwaukee and that year
- 46:02Speaker 7: playing in Milwaukee Green Bay on the.
- 46:04Speaker 4: Super Bowl, which is pretty cool.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 7: Yeah, so yeah, I started watching football more and more
- 46:09Speaker 7: and then yeah, I'm pretty I don't know all the rules,
- 46:11Speaker 7: but I would say.
- 46:12Speaker 4: I'm pretty good at it. Now. That's awesome. Yeah, it's
- 46:15Speaker 4: fun to watch. I love it. It's carot red Zone
- 46:17Speaker 4: on Sunday. It's just really Yeah, it's.
- 46:19Speaker 2: A relatively easy game to watch. Like, you understand the
- 46:22Speaker 2: concept pretty fast. Yeah, it doesn't take very long to learn.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Hockey is it's definitely tough to pick up, like when
- 46:29Speaker 2: when you're icing, like it takes a while.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Why is it? Why is the ref just blowing it dead?
- 46:34Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 46:34Speaker 2: And then there's so many lines involved. I feel like
- 46:36Speaker 2: it's kind of like soccer, but I don't even understand
- 46:38Speaker 2: the soccer.
- 46:39Speaker 4: But it took me as I.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Don't really know soccer. I know hockey decent, but like
- 46:45Speaker 2: I wouldn't know how to play.
- 46:46Speaker 7: But football is hard for like for me to understand
- 46:49Speaker 7: like all the plays a different plays and like and
- 46:51Speaker 7: why you run the ball right now or why you're
- 46:53Speaker 7: drawing it?
- 46:53Speaker 4: And then yeah, that took me a while too, Like.
- 46:55Speaker 3: He's watching somebody, he's watching us running on like third
- 46:58Speaker 3: and long. We're like, you know, backed up or just
- 47:00Speaker 3: get better.
- 47:02Speaker 5: Do it?
- 47:03Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 47:03Speaker 3: You have a fantasy team? Do you play fantasy?
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 47:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I played the last year for the first time.
- 47:08Speaker 1: You guys playing with the offensive lenman or No, No,
- 47:13Speaker 1: there's no offensivement in fantasy football.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Did you have anybody from the Titans on your team?
- 47:19Speaker 4: No? I have Mariota, Yeah, get married.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Have you met him?
- 47:24Speaker 4: No, I've never met.
- 47:25Speaker 1: It's an awesome guy, dude, I've heard we got it.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Like that's the thing. I love, Like that little community
- 47:29Speaker 2: has got going. We got going on, like the Prads
- 47:31Speaker 2: and the Titans. I feel like we got a little something.
- 47:33Speaker 4: I know. I agree. Yeah, it's awesome.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I was talking to we're talking to Butch, who was
- 47:37Speaker 2: a guest. We haven't really state yet or maybe we
- 47:40Speaker 2: have it this time. We're all over the place. But
- 47:43Speaker 2: I was talking to him about doing like a softball
- 47:45Speaker 2: game like Predators versus Titans. And then I know, like
- 47:49Speaker 2: Caleb's really close to you guys, and so like, do
- 47:51Speaker 2: you like the Kings of Leon like to on your side?
- 47:53Speaker 2: And then I'm close to Jared, so do too. And
- 47:55Speaker 2: that's that as captain's and we do like a do
- 47:57Speaker 2: a sloping softball game. You guys are like kick your ass,
- 48:01Speaker 2: your hands coordination is crazy the Europeans.
- 48:05Speaker 4: No, there's no way we played.
- 48:09Speaker 2: I think it'd be I think it'd be a close
- 48:11Speaker 2: game because because football players ego everywhere. Dude, we would
- 48:14Speaker 2: try to go yard every time, No doubt that is over.
- 48:17Speaker 2: But you guys, like I've seen like dudes take the
- 48:20Speaker 2: stick and like just bake it in.
- 48:22Speaker 4: But I don't know we played. We played.
- 48:24Speaker 7: We played a baseball game at Bandy this year at
- 48:25Speaker 7: the beginning of the year and we played Europe against
- 48:28Speaker 7: North America and we got no chance. Like it was baseball,
- 48:33Speaker 7: you guys played a base guys oping, but like not
- 48:37Speaker 7: ripping it.
- 48:38Speaker 4: It was more like a home run derby kind of
- 48:40Speaker 4: like the coach was, do you get.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Some kegs there?
- 48:43Speaker 1: I think, dude, that's what we gotta do is gotags.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I think it'd be awesome. But what's a good time
- 48:48Speaker 1: for you guys?
- 48:50Speaker 7: Probably well it probably guys right well, guys are not
- 48:54Speaker 7: in town. Guys don't get into like end of August.
- 48:56Speaker 1: But terrible for we would never be able to do it.
- 49:00Speaker 3: But if you guys, like do you guys, do you
- 49:02Speaker 3: guys thro right away right after the seasons over?
- 49:04Speaker 4: Yeah, like most guys leave like a week after.
- 49:08Speaker 2: What we should do is feel it out, Like if
- 49:10Speaker 2: you guys are doing really well and we know, like hey,
- 49:13Speaker 2: like they got a chance, then we should do it
- 49:15Speaker 2: like around this time. You know what I'm saying, because
- 49:17Speaker 2: all the football players are in right now, Like we're
- 49:19Speaker 2: all here, and you get enough guys to come back,
- 49:21Speaker 2: nine to ten of your guys, like, we're.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Be so much fun.
- 49:26Speaker 2: It'd be so much fun because I've been I've spent
- 49:28Speaker 2: a lot of time with you guys, but I've been
- 49:29Speaker 2: around a couple of you guys, and you seem like
- 49:31Speaker 2: good dudes. But hockey has always been a super tight
- 49:33Speaker 2: community at my house. Uh in college, we we're on
- 49:38Speaker 2: State Street and like Yost Arena was right across the streets,
- 49:40Speaker 2: So the hockey boys were my next door neighbors. And
- 49:43Speaker 2: like it'd be spring, Like it'd be like maytime. We
- 49:45Speaker 2: all be hanging out and we play poop dollar. You
- 49:48Speaker 2: el play poop dollar?
- 49:49Speaker 1: Dude? You're missing out, dude. You guys ever heard poll Dude?
- 49:55Speaker 2: We would literally so like, well, you take a ship
- 50:00Speaker 2: and then you like take a little bit of it
- 50:02Speaker 2: out and you put it on a dollar, and then
- 50:04Speaker 2: you go across the street and you put it face down,
- 50:07Speaker 2: and then you and the boys, a couple of thirty
- 50:09Speaker 2: packs just.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Hang out and wait for people to pick up the dollar.
- 50:15Speaker 1: And that's and that's poop dollar, dude, the hockey story.
- 50:18Speaker 4: Well and the boys.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so me and the hockey boys would just sit there, dude.
- 50:24Speaker 2: It just be like literally me and all those guys
- 50:26Speaker 2: and like a couple of the dudes from the track
- 50:28Speaker 2: ting because I live with track guys in college, and
- 50:30Speaker 2: we just we'd wait and we'd like hide under everything,
- 50:34Speaker 2: and like some old man and his like granddaughter would
- 50:37Speaker 2: be walking by, just enjoying their Saturday afternoon.
- 50:40Speaker 1: And then old man we.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Get super greedy. Dude, you get greedy, swipe it up,
- 50:45Speaker 2: poop all over his head. So we'd start yelling at him.
- 50:51Speaker 2: He'd start yelling back at us.
- 50:53Speaker 1: It was so much fun. I played poop dollars. I
- 50:56Speaker 1: played in Nashville.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Yeah, just get the cardboard out, we get the get
- 51:02Speaker 2: the film crew out, play poop dollar What do you think?
- 51:05Speaker 2: I know?
- 51:06Speaker 3: You definitely played invisible rope?
- 51:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I played invisible rope.
- 51:09Speaker 3: Have you played in visible rope? We're like a car
- 51:11Speaker 3: is coming up on like a stop sign, and like say,
- 51:13Speaker 3: me and Taylor out in the middle of the road,
- 51:15Speaker 3: and you're like, by the stop Sidney, come and me
- 51:18Speaker 3: and Taylor act like we're getting this rope set up.
- 51:20Speaker 3: And we stand there and act like we're pulling on
- 51:22Speaker 3: each end of the road and the car comes to
- 51:23Speaker 3: a complete stop. Well, I guess it's not a stop
- 51:25Speaker 3: sign just in the middle of the road. Yeah, wouldn't
- 51:27Speaker 3: be a stop just be like ongoing traffic and you
- 51:29Speaker 3: act like you're pulling this rope and they all stop
- 51:31Speaker 3: and then we you know, you act like you dropped.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Oh, there's no rope.
- 51:34Speaker 3: It's invisible losing.
- 51:35Speaker 1: I would just be shaking a damn kids, what's that?
- 51:41Speaker 4: Don't they see that there's no rope?
- 51:42Speaker 2: No?
- 51:43Speaker 1: But they all they see is two people like just
- 51:45Speaker 1: pulling super hard.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, and you're like pulling on each side and
- 51:49Speaker 3: they just come to a stop and you drop the rope.
- 51:51Speaker 4: Hot got you never played that?
- 51:53Speaker 2: Did you guys have anything in Switzerland? Did you guys
- 51:56Speaker 2: have anything any games like that?
- 51:58Speaker 3: Any ding? Dunk ditch?
- 52:00Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 52:01Speaker 2: What do you call it?
- 52:02Speaker 3: Over there?
- 52:05Speaker 2: What do you really call what do we call it?
- 52:09Speaker 4: Louty ste that's the one you go off? Yah?
- 52:16Speaker 1: What do you go?
- 52:19Speaker 4: You a good king? Yeah? I would say so. I was.
- 52:25Speaker 7: I was always kind of like I knew when there
- 52:27Speaker 7: was time to stop. Like so my mom always told me, like, see,
- 52:32Speaker 7: like I never got in trouble because I always knew
- 52:34Speaker 7: like when to stop.
- 52:35Speaker 2: But I don't know, you'd be a class clown. I
- 52:38Speaker 2: guess it was time to stop being a class clown.
- 52:41Speaker 7: U till I knew I was gonna get in trouble.
- 52:42Speaker 7: I was like, Okay, I'm gonna stop.
- 52:44Speaker 3: He's definitely probably a good dude.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Di Roma is the best, the nicest guy in the world.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Didn't get too much trouble.
- 52:51Speaker 8: I was just gonna ask the difference between uh, like
- 52:54Speaker 8: the transition from Barry trot to uh, you know, love
- 52:58Speaker 8: love you lit Yeah, and what like, how how are
- 53:01Speaker 8: they different coaches?
- 53:06Speaker 7: Well, I don't know. Trozzi was my first coach. He was,
- 53:09Speaker 7: I mean, he was awesome for me. He's uh, I
- 53:12Speaker 7: don't know if he ever met Rozzi, No, but he's
- 53:15Speaker 7: he was like the best guy ever.
- 53:16Speaker 4: Like, he was awesome and.
- 53:19Speaker 7: He was a he was a great coach too, he
- 53:21Speaker 7: was I I only had him for two years, I think,
- 53:26Speaker 7: and he was awesome and I mean he was in
- 53:28Speaker 7: Washington they won the Cup. Yeah, and he's a great coach.
- 53:31Speaker 7: He's been in the league for so long. And I
- 53:33Speaker 7: think there's a lot of similarities. I think Lav's more.
- 53:37Speaker 7: He's he's really intense. He's he's great with pregame speeches.
- 53:41Speaker 7: He gets the boys fired up, which is not easy.
- 53:44Speaker 7: We're playing eighty two games and the coach has to
- 53:46Speaker 7: come in there like every day and say something, and
- 53:49Speaker 7: he's unbelievable. Like he he always finds something to to
- 53:52Speaker 7: get the boys going. And I mean they're in a
- 53:54Speaker 7: lot of ways, they're they're really similar, but they're they're
- 53:56Speaker 7: still a little different, but they're they're great, both great
- 54:00Speaker 7: coaches and like I said, Trotty was my first coach
- 54:03Speaker 7: and he helped me get in the league. So yeah,
- 54:06Speaker 7: they're they're both awesome, but they're definitely a little different.
- 54:11Speaker 3: What year did you come in the league?
- 54:13Speaker 4: That was twenty eleven.
- 54:15Speaker 3: So you're part of the lockout?
- 54:18Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 54:19Speaker 3: How was that? What was that like?
- 54:21Speaker 4: Two years? Two years before the lockout?
- 54:23Speaker 3: Yeah, so you were a part you were in the.
- 54:25Speaker 4: I played one year and then the lockout happened.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Right, What was it like going through the lockout?
- 54:29Speaker 2: Like, what was that?
- 54:30Speaker 3: What was that? Yeah?
- 54:32Speaker 7: It was it was I mean I only played one
- 54:35Speaker 7: year and I got to play in Europe after that,
- 54:37Speaker 7: I played in I played in Switzerland, So you were
- 54:40Speaker 7: able to I went back to my hometown team and
- 54:41Speaker 7: played in vern Yeah, which was which was really good
- 54:44Speaker 7: for me. But there's there's a lot of guys who
- 54:45Speaker 7: didn't play, so they just kind of worked out and
- 54:48Speaker 7: skated on their own and for those guys, it was
- 54:51Speaker 7: it was long.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Like what was the big reason for the lockout? I
- 54:54Speaker 3: forget was it getting like contracts guaranteed or.
- 54:57Speaker 7: No, all our contracts are guaranteed. It was more at
- 54:59Speaker 7: the share between players and owners.
- 55:02Speaker 3: But your contracts were already guaranteed before the lockout. I
- 55:04Speaker 3: got you, I got you. That's always interesting because you
- 55:07Speaker 3: guys went into season with that stuff.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:09Speaker 7: Yeah, we we we messed half of the season and
- 55:11Speaker 7: then we started in Channel and played forty eight games.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, going through a lockout.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Yeah, did you get paid the same amount?
- 55:20Speaker 4: You don't get paid?
- 55:20Speaker 1: Well, I'm saying when you went.
- 55:22Speaker 4: Back Oh no, no less, Yeah that's a bummer.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you get it.
- 55:26Speaker 4: It was.
- 55:26Speaker 7: It was for me it was tough because I only
- 55:29Speaker 7: played one year in the league, so you just want to,
- 55:30Speaker 7: like you just get into the leagues even to play
- 55:32Speaker 7: played play, Yeah, and there's a lockout.
- 55:34Speaker 4: But for me it was good.
- 55:35Speaker 7: I mean I got to go back home and play
- 55:38Speaker 7: in the Swiss League, which was good for me. But
- 55:39Speaker 7: there's a lot of guys didn't play, so you.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Can go and play somewhere else while things are going on.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 55:44Speaker 2: That's something that they're able to do that. If the
- 55:46Speaker 2: NFL ever did, like guys are able to do that.
- 55:49Speaker 1: Well, you would.
- 55:49Speaker 2: You also wouldn't want to because in the NFL, the
- 55:52Speaker 2: season so short and the injury rate is so hot. True,
- 55:56Speaker 2: you're not gonna go get play for pay on the dollar.
- 56:01Speaker 2: You would get paid like like an AFF or whatever
- 56:04Speaker 2: Candada League or something like that. That's way different. I
- 56:07Speaker 2: don't think I don't think football will ever get to
- 56:09Speaker 2: that point where they have like a minor league like
- 56:11Speaker 2: hockey or baseball or anything like that. It's just because
- 56:15Speaker 2: that's what college is, and it's free, and it's a
- 56:17Speaker 2: billion dollar business that somehow they've the NCAA has gotten
- 56:21Speaker 2: away with for such a long time. Like we you're
- 56:24Speaker 2: a professional athlete, dude, and not a professional I'm sorry,
- 56:27Speaker 2: you're an amateur athlete. And I was getting like twelve
- 56:29Speaker 2: hundred bucks a month and my rent was like five
- 56:32Speaker 2: fifty six hundred bucks, you know, and so like you're
- 56:35Speaker 2: you're playing for nothing and you get you know, free meals.
- 56:38Speaker 2: You can't even have cream cheese on a bagel. It's
- 56:40Speaker 2: a violation. It's just crazy. And so with that and
- 56:43Speaker 2: like you're not. I feel like if you were allowed
- 56:45Speaker 2: to go right from high school to the NFL, then
- 56:48Speaker 2: there would be an opportunity for like a minor league.
- 56:51Speaker 2: But if you already everyone's already going to college, then
- 56:54Speaker 2: like we've got it, you know what I'm saying.
- 56:56Speaker 3: And you only have so much milea jone the tires
- 56:58Speaker 3: anyway in the football career, like you you get banged
- 57:01Speaker 3: up a lot easier, sooner faster if you're playing amateur
- 57:04Speaker 3: right out of so you've got a fifth year senior,
- 57:06Speaker 3: it goes to an amateur league and plays like three years.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Then he's like, what twenty six years old, trying to
- 57:11Speaker 3: be trying to make the minimum more be a rookie. Yeah,
- 57:13Speaker 3: trying to be a rookie.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I'm twenty seven, like like I got in the league
- 57:17Speaker 1: last year.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you what you have the average career anyways,
- 57:21Speaker 3: only like three and a half years is the average
- 57:23Speaker 3: career in the NFL.
- 57:25Speaker 7: So it's like I feel like that's just a lot
- 57:27Speaker 7: of guys who play and then they can't play, Like
- 57:30Speaker 7: they're really talented, but all of a sudden they don't
- 57:32Speaker 7: play football anymore because there's no league for them.
- 57:34Speaker 5: Right.
- 57:34Speaker 3: I think you're talking about after three and a half years.
- 57:36Speaker 4: Like let's say they're playing college and they don't make
- 57:37Speaker 4: it the NFL, and then what do you do?
- 57:39Speaker 2: Like you you have to quit pretty much, right, Yeah,
- 57:41Speaker 2: Well you can go different paths, like there are leagues
- 57:44Speaker 2: like the CFL, the Canadian Football League. Yeah, you can
- 57:46Speaker 2: go to there's an arena football league, like the XFL
- 57:49Speaker 2: has been a thing and not been a thing about
- 57:51Speaker 2: forty times.
- 57:52Speaker 3: They've always been trying these leagues.
- 57:53Speaker 2: They try a bunch of leagues for guys to get opportunities.
- 57:55Speaker 2: There's a spring league this past year. It was like
- 57:58Speaker 2: four weeks.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Long, and you would have bought it. It was gonna
- 58:01Speaker 3: potentially be something.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and it just tanked springly be it would probably
- 58:05Speaker 1: be the best bet.
- 58:06Speaker 4: Yeh.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Like something that's honestly like that. Oh yeah, go ahead,
- 58:10Speaker 1: Well are you do you need that? Is that another
- 58:12Speaker 1: phone call?
- 58:13Speaker 2: It's my it's a Redskins strength coach?
- 58:17Speaker 1: Oh is its weird flex?
- 58:20Speaker 3: Was gonna say, it's chat.
- 58:22Speaker 1: It's a really weird thing to say.
- 58:24Speaker 2: All right, who's Chad Redskins strength coach?
- 58:27Speaker 3: Weird flex? What the fuck?
- 58:30Speaker 5: So I got a question if if you're done to
- 58:32Speaker 5: go ahead. So I want to ask about like traveling.
- 58:35Speaker 5: I mean, you're playing eighty two games this season, but
- 58:37Speaker 5: more I want to look at the twenty sixteen Stanley
- 58:40Speaker 5: Cup Playoffs Round one, you're playing Anaheim. That game goes
- 58:44Speaker 5: to seven games. Well, the last four games of that series,
- 58:47Speaker 5: you're going back and forth from Nashville to Anahem, Nashville
- 58:50Speaker 5: to Anaheim. Traveling wise, is that pretty like tough on
- 58:53Speaker 5: you because I mean they're in uh, they're in a
- 58:56Speaker 5: different time zone than that's two different time zone, so
- 58:58Speaker 5: I think puck was dropping here at like nine or
- 59:00Speaker 5: eleven o'clock at night. Then you all have to come
- 59:03Speaker 5: back after games and then play a day after next.
- 59:05Speaker 4: So yeah, that was that was tough. You're right.
- 59:07Speaker 7: I mean we like it's a four hour flight every day,
- 59:10Speaker 7: and so we pretty much we played two games there.
- 59:14Speaker 7: I think we won the first two, lost two at home,
- 59:17Speaker 7: and then you play like you play every other day.
- 59:19Speaker 7: So every other day, so you play at home, you
- 59:22Speaker 7: go to bed pretty late because I don't know how
- 59:24Speaker 7: you guys, I can't sleep after games.
- 59:26Speaker 4: Well, you guys play earlier, which is nice.
- 59:31Speaker 7: Yeah, we played at seven, so I can't sleep after games,
- 59:33Speaker 7: so you go to bed late, get up, travel four
- 59:36Speaker 7: hours to Anaheim, play the next day, fly back again
- 59:38Speaker 7: four hours again. And then the second round we played
- 59:41Speaker 7: San Jose.
- 59:41Speaker 5: Hey, and they only played five games the first round.
- 59:44Speaker 7: Yea, And I remember we played game seven in Anaheim
- 59:47Speaker 7: and the Islands were only playing their second round match,
- 59:51Speaker 7: so we we were like the last first round match
- 59:55Speaker 7: up to finish. So two days later we played in
- 59:57Speaker 7: San Jose. We didn't even go home after the m
- 59:59Speaker 7: series playing San Jose and then when not the saving games,
- 1:00:03Speaker 7: and that was that was hard. I mean, it's just
- 1:00:05Speaker 7: I feel like traveling is just it's it's hard on
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: your body.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Like, yeah, dude, it is being up in a plane.
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: How how important or how serious is like the performance
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: side recovery side for like you guys individually, or how
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: much of a priority does the team make that Like
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: when you guys have a quick turn around, like are
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: they in your face and in your ear about doing
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: the right things.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: To Yeah, yeah recover, Yeah, it's it's for us. It's
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: all about recovery. Like that's why I said, like we
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: don't practice much anymore, like even the coaches, like it's
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: all about the games, like you can practice once in
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: a while, but it's it's pretty easy. Like the the
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: days we don't play, it's it's pretty much just to
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: recover and work on some system stuff. But on that
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: it's especially like traveling like that, it's huge, like getting
- 1:00:45Speaker 7: getting a lot of water and you getting a lot
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: of sleep and all that stuff. And I mean, it's
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: it's probably the most important part in the playoffs filed.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: Out is your guys, do you do get your recovery
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: through a lot of stuff at the facility or do
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: you source a lot Do guys like kind of source
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: people around Nashville or cities.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: They go to both.
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: Yeah, we get it through the facility, but a lot
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: of guys have half their own people for for massages
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: or treatment.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: But yeah, it's a little bit both.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: I mean, you know Bobo, do you use Bubbo?
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: No, you don't know, you're yeah, yeah, I used I
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: used him one time.
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: But it's a it's a it's a preference, yeah, right,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: I mean getting stuck all the times tough.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I love the ivy stuff. I like that stuff.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I got like trendmarks, definitely a heroin addict.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: You guys, you guys, you can take when you talk
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: about not sleeping that you take a lot of like
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: pre workout and some uppers before the game.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the boys all about that.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Yeah you got who's got the pre workout? Do you
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: guys say that?
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Yeah, take some pre workout for sure.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: You guys doing coffee before games?
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, sau we hit Starbucks on the way
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: to the stadium.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: If we played it in noon, we go like what
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: seven thirty in the morning. Yeah, we go to the
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: facility seven thirty already.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Well we go cold tub, hot tub, cold tub, hot tub,
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: like contrast for probably forty five minutes. Yeah, roll out
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: a little bit and then.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Stop at the Starbucks, get myself in a mil there.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: We go, no sugar and just bang some music.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: On our way to the facility or going a little.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: Taylor got me on mess up because with the Redskins,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: our games are in d C. But we would are
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: where we lived in our practice facility. It was like
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: an hour away, so I never we never had access
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: like that. We'd just be in the hotel before a game,
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: even on home games. So Taylor got me on the
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: bid of going in the facility like hours before and
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: it's a lovely dude, have playing for a team that's
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: in town.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: Like, I mean, what time, what time you guys have
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: to be there.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: It's usually if it's two hours before a game starts.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: So if it's at noon, you had to be in
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: the stadium at ten. Yeah, checked in to go out
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: of your clothes and ship changed, and we have like
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: a little team meeting, and then you kind of go
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: about your business like I'll go on the field for
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: a little bit, kind of do a couple of things,
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: make sure I feel good, go up and I don't
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: usually and Ivy. I get Ivy the night before, Yeah,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: with Bobo because you're just, dude, I can't like I
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: can't imagining eighty six games and like just skating all
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: that wear and tearing the legs. But I mean it's
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: but you get to a certain point of the season.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: It's just like at week eight, you're just like, all right,
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: get myself to the next game. Make sure you feel
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: good at the next game.
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: It's almost when you don't play for a couple of days,
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: you get tight because you like get in the rhythm
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: of playing every other day and you just keep playing.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: That's like people like bye weeks.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I'm not like I don't know how I would actually
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: feel about it, But if there was no bye week,
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: it almost be easier for me because I could just
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: I could just transition and like just because eventually, like
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: you take enough hits, your legs get sore enough, like
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: it just kind of gets stagnant. It's like plateaus and
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: you're solid. But I don't know, I mean, people might
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: kill me for not wanting to buy a week get
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: killed out there.
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: We just got a bye week like three years ago.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Yeah, we at the Full Star Break too, you.
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: Know, but they started to have a bye week now,
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: so you get either like three days off after game
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: or before.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: So it's your guys, is bye week's a three day
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: off thing?
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: Yeah, three or four days?
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Yeah that's crazy.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's so much.
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: It's yeah, it's like with the also game it's like seven.
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: It's like a week pretty much. But guys love it.
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: It's like a little break and kind of seas do
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: the boys go out when hears to Vegas after game?
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: We did?
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, Vegas will steal a soul. Dude, what hotel
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: do you guys stay in? Uh?
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: Blacho? Yeah?
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: Yeah, will?
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Do you know who the Blago is?
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Yeah, but yeah, I know where it is.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: I feel like because like the Raiders are going to
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: the Vegas dude, people are gonna lose some paychecks. Things
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: are gonna go down. Vegas is a tough state. It's
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: a place that will steal your soul. I'll spend I'll
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: spend three days there.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, get me the fuck out of Vegas.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: Dude.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Unless you're winning, dude, Well, I mean yeah, but like
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: sometimes you're just so hungover, you're like, I.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: I gotta go home when you guys get their whole
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: entire life.
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: Do you guys get there the night before the game? Well,
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: we don't, they don't have a but you would get
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: there tonight before games?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Yeah, and guys, will you get there at like four o'clock.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: You can go out for a couple hours and go
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: down what they want.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: But you know, like the coaches, everybody would be pretty up.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: You know, they're probably be a little more strict.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: A little more strict for sure, But like living there,
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: like outside the strip, there's not a lot like in
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Vegas and like really there's nothing.
- 1:05:21Speaker 7: Yeah, but James Neill played there last year and he
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: said it was awesome. He loves it like there's so
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: many nice neighborhoods and like he lift right on a
- 1:05:28Speaker 7: golf course.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: He said, it was pretty nice.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Actually, you play a lot of golf.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: I'm starting to.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I started like two years ago, so now I'm terrible,
- 1:05:37Speaker 7: but getting lessons right now.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: It's fun, though, man, Just get out, get some beers, cigars,
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: play some music.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: Yeah. Not take it too serious, I know, but it's
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: hard not to take it serious.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: Yeah, where do you guys play?
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: No, I don't go.
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: I haven't. I haven't played here. I would play with
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: I would play when I was on the skins all
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: the time, like in the off season around this time.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: But I mean, I'm not that good. I got my
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: I got my own clubs and stuff, and you'll hit
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: shots that keep you coming back. Yeah, but I'm not
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: like some scratch golf or.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Anything like that.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: No, I'm terrible.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: It's fun though, I enjoy it. I like the camaraderie
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: around the boys.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: And it's nice being outside for five or six hours.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: And for sure, just golf. You gotta we gotta get
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: you into golf.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I say, I don't know, dude, Like I have this
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: weird thing like you'd come with us.
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: I just remember, like I grew up poor and now
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: I'm watching and I watch all those assholes part of
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: country clubs.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't want to be a part of that.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: I was at a country club a couple, like a
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: couple of years ago, and the guys like and the
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: guys like, oh, you should be you should.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Be a member. And I was like, can I just
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: like this?
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: And I was wearing a T shirt jim shorts. He goes,
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: you gotta wear a collared shirt, you gotta wear kakis.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I'm like, get me out of here, dude, I don't
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: want to be a part of it.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Golf. I had this stupid joke that like golf.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: Before I grew up.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't want to be in a country club.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: I don't want to be in a country club. I'll
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: be a sellout if I ever joined a country club.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Don't even want to live on a golf course.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: That'd be nice, though, I mean, you're gonna live on
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: the continent.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: What's that.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: I would love to live on the golf of course,
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: would you? Yeah?
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I think it'd be Where are you gonna live after
