- 0:16of yourself you could ever imagine.
- 0:18Join Kim every morning from one of her favorite happy places,
- 0:21her chicken coop along with all her chickens.
- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:30coop. So today we are talking about
- 0:33the fact that we all have these little little tiny pieces of
- 0:39chatter that go off in our head and this chatter is either
- 0:46making or breaking you. So we've talked about mindset so
- 0:50many times we've I mean that's why we're here, right.
- 0:52That's what this that's what this whole purpose is for what
- 0:55I'm doing with all of you. But this mind chatter, these
- 0:58little tiny things that go off behind the scenes that are just
- 1:03insidious, The termites in the house, so to speak, the ones
- 1:06that are eating through things, are something I want to call out
- 1:10to everybody today because it seems to be a theme this week
- 1:13and I want to address it across the board.
- 1:16So first and foremost, how do you identify these little tiny
- 1:20thoughts that are as my British client says?
- 1:25They just niggle at you. They just pick at you.
- 1:28They're just always there. And the truth is, they're part
- 1:33of the defense mechanisms, the hardwiring that we have set up
- 1:37to protect ourselves. And they think they're doing a
- 1:39good job, but they're driving us insane and part of that.
- 1:44The way it shows up is when you feel frustrated that you are
- 1:47taking two steps forward and one step back.
- 1:49Like you think you're working on something and it seems to be
- 1:51going well, but then all of a sudden your negative thoughts
- 1:53show up again. Or there's just a seed of doubt,
- 1:58Something small, a little teeny wee piece of doubt that shows
- 2:02up. That's one of them.
- 2:04And when you don't undress them, when you don't pull yourself to
- 2:09the. You know, out of the mock of
- 2:11having the thought and say I need to address this ASAP.
- 2:15Because if I don't address it, it's just going to grow.
- 2:18It takes over and it it's like that.
- 2:20Drop and the drop grows and grows and grows and grows and
- 2:24grows and before you know what you're having, not one thought,
- 2:27not two thoughts, but seven thoughts, ten thoughts.
- 2:30And they multiply and they move on.
- 2:33And then you start getting frustrated because you're like,
- 2:35I'm doing the things, I'm doing, the actions, I'm listening to
- 2:39the right books, I'm doing all this and nothing's working.
- 2:43So when this shows up, people always ask the question, you
- 2:49know, what am I? What's going on?
- 2:51This isn't working. I need a different strategy, and
- 2:54it's not a drift, different strategy that you need.
- 2:57It's to clear up those moments when your head is.
- 3:01Up your proverbial butt and you're not getting your mind
- 3:05clear on the fact that you are the beacon you are calling it
- 3:09in. You are magnetizing yourself to
- 3:12the exact opposite of what you want.
- 3:15And I This is such a difficult concept to catch because it's
- 3:20like asking you to say, pay attention to your thoughts and
- 3:23the ones that are toxic, realize that they're toxic and then
- 3:27shift away from them. And it's like herding cats.
- 3:31It's like running around chasing ants.
- 3:33It's it's so challenging, but it has to be done.
- 3:36If you want to shift away from this, you have to train your
- 3:40brain to not go down those roads.
- 3:43So one thing that I want to be very clear with everybody on is
- 3:46that if you are struggling to catch all the negative thoughts.
- 3:51A strategy that works really well is to just work on
- 3:55concentrating on not staying alone in your own head and
- 3:58focusing on the positive things that you're putting in.
- 4:01So you know one of my tricks, put one earbud in, put on an
- 4:05audible of something great. That's reprogramming your brain.
- 4:09A mindset 1. Anything with affirmations,
- 4:13anything spiritual, anything that you want to listen to
- 4:16that's filling you with good energy, you put that in doesn't
- 4:19mean you can't interact with anybody around you.
- 4:21Just means that you've got that ear button and you're listening
- 4:24to something else that's putting you on a different trajectory.
- 4:27Those work. Those strategies work.
- 4:29So try that one and recognize that when you don't course
- 4:36correct it at that level and you just let it stay.
- 4:41It's going to spread. So yes, you can try to collect
- 4:45all the negative thoughts and move past them.
- 4:49That's a very noble attempt to do something like that.
- 4:53And it's very hard even for me doing it all the time.
- 4:56It's hard work and if you want to make progress with it, you
- 5:00have to just accept the fact that it's a longterm strategy
- 5:03and you just work at it every day.
- 5:07The Putting the positive and drowning out the rest of it is a
- 5:10quicker strategy and sometimes it works best for people because
- 5:15it's something that gives them the opportunity to try to gain
- 5:18some control quicker. And it's one that I can implore
- 5:22myself and I do believe in it. So there you have it.
- 5:26You can try it either way, but you've got to clean up the
- 5:28thoughts. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:31you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:34Bye.
