Latest / Brett Keane and Eve Show / Elon Musk & Donald Trump Full Conversation (Uncensored)
Transcript
- 0:00As as this, this massive attack illustrates, there's a lot of
- 0:04opposition to people just hearing what President Trump has
- 0:09to say. And so, but I'm honored to have
- 0:12this conversation. I want to emphasize it's a it's
- 0:14a conversation and it's really intended to just get, get a feel
- 0:19for what Donald Trump is just like in a conversation.
- 0:23So it's hard to catch a vibe about someone if you just don't
- 0:26hear them talk in a normal way. And when you know, when there's
- 0:29when there's an adversarial interview, like no one's
- 0:33themselves in an adversarial interview.
- 0:36So for and this is really aimed at kind of open minded
- 0:41independent voters who they're just trying to make up their
- 0:45mind. And so you can understand like
- 0:49what what is, you know, what is it just like to have a
- 0:52conversation. So honored to Donald.
- 0:56Great, great to to speak. We had a great conversation
- 1:01yesterday. As as you mentioned yesterday,
- 1:03if we could just record that conversation and post it, it
- 1:06would have been excellent. I hope we can have something
- 1:08like that today. Well, I think we will.
- 1:10I'm pretty sure we will. And congratulations because I
- 1:13see you broke every record in the book with so many millions
- 1:17of people, and it's an honor. We view that as an honor.
- 1:20And then you do want silencing of certain voices.
- 1:23Usually those are voices that have something to say that are
- 1:27constructive, oftentimes constructive.
- 1:29And so we have to consider it an honor.
- 1:32But congratulations on breaking every record in the book
- 1:35tonight. That's great.
- 1:36Well, thank you. Well, maybe we can start off
- 1:41with, I mean, the assassination attempt, which was an incredible
- 1:46thing. And I have to say that your
- 1:50actions after that nest, that assassination attempt were
- 1:53inspiring. You know, you instead of shying
- 1:56away from things, instead of ducking down, you were pumping
- 1:59your fist in there and saying fight, fight, fight.
- 2:01And I think that's, I mean, you know, the president of the
- 2:05United States represents America.
- 2:08And I think that is that is America, that is strength under
- 2:11fire. And so that's, you know, a big,
- 2:16you know, part of the reason why I was excited to endorse you as
- 2:21the the the President of the United States for having another
- 2:24term here is that was that was just incredibly inspiring.
- 2:27But but I mean, what was it like for you?
- 2:30Not pleasant. I have to.
- 2:32Be. Honest, I said it was I had.
- 2:36I didn't know I had. I didn't know I had that much
- 2:39blood. The doctors later told me that
- 2:41the ear is a place that is a very bloody place if you're
- 2:46gonna get hit. But in this case, it was
- 2:48probably the best alternative you could even think about
- 2:51because it went at the right angle.
- 2:53And, you know, it was, it was a hard hit.
- 2:56It was very, I guess you would say surreal, but it wasn't
- 3:00surreal. You know, I was telling
- 3:02somebody, you have instances like this or like a lot less
- 3:06than this where you feel it's a surreal situation.
- 3:09And I never felt that way. I do immediately that it was a
- 3:13bullet. I knew immediately that it was
- 3:16at the ear. And because it, you know, it hit
- 3:19very hard, but hit the ear. And I also heard people shout
- 3:24bullets, bullets, you know, get down, get down because I, you
- 3:27know, I moved down pretty nicely pretty quickly and we had
- 3:30bullets flying right over my head after I went down.
- 3:32So I'm glad I went down. The bigger miracle was that I
- 3:35was looking in the exact direction of the shooter.
- 3:38And so it hit it hit me at an angle that was far less
- 3:41destructive than India angle. So that was the miracle that was
- 3:45for those people that don't believe in God.
- 3:47I think we got to all start thinking about that.
- 3:50You have to you know, I'm I'm a believer now.
- 3:53I'm more of a believer, I think. And a lot of people have said
- 3:56that to be a lot of great people have said that to me actually.
- 3:59But it was it was amazing that I happened to be turned just at
- 4:02that perfect angle and all because I put down a chart on
- 4:07immigration that showed that the numbers were so great.
- 4:10I I love that chart, even maybe it's.
- 4:12A sign, maybe that's a sign, you know.
- 4:15It's an immigration sign. You, you highlighted a serious
- 4:18issue. Yeah, at that moment.
- 4:21That's right, the. Bullet Mr. You know your ear
- 4:23but, but, but you know Mr. Mr. Mr. your head, I mean your.
- 4:27Well, the the amazing thing is that the sign I said, bring down
- 4:31that sign on immigration and it was literally about an eighth of
- 4:35a second where it would be good. And and after that it was going
- 4:38to be a disaster no matter which which way you were.
- 4:41But it just had that that perfect angle, which was exactly
- 4:45at this shooter. Very sad situation, such a sad
- 4:49situation. As you know, we lost somebody
- 4:51that was great Cory, who a firefighter, a great gentleman,
- 4:55a great, a great Trumper. He was a just a fantastic family
- 5:00and a fantastic man. And a friend of mine came up
- 5:03Elon and said I'd like to give the family some kind of help.
- 5:08And I said, that's great. He said do you mind?
- 5:10Said I don't mind at all. And he wrote out a check for
- 5:12$1,000,000 gave, gave it to the wife and you know, she said this
- 5:17is really nice, but I'd rather have my husband back, which is a
- 5:20nice thing to somebody to say, to be honest.
- 5:22She's, she's great. The family is great and we
- 5:25raised a lot of money for them and for two other gentlemen were
- 5:29unbelievable people. Also.
- 5:30They were hit really badly. They thought they were not going
- 5:33to make it and they did. The doctors in the Butler area,
- 5:36I tell you, they were incredible.
- 5:38They saved the two and they were really hit tough, both of them
- 5:42equally. And we thought my first question
- 5:46was because I heard bullets flying over me.
- 5:49I said how many people were killed?
- 5:50Because we had a massive crowd there, a tremendous thousands
- 5:54and thousands of people and there was no land.
- 5:56I mean, there was just, it was all people.
- 5:58So I said how many people have been killed because I knew there
- 6:01were other shots being fired. And they said we don't know yet,
- 6:06but some people have been badly hurt and I have to give the
- 6:10Secret Service. Sniper, they call him, or
- 6:13sharpshooter, but sniper, because he didn't know there was
- 6:17a problem. He's been, he's an extraordinary
- 6:20shot, obviously. And he didn't know there was a
- 6:22problem. And he was able to pick-n-pull
- 6:24out within 5 seconds. And he used one bullet from very
- 6:27far away, I guess probably about 400 yards.
- 6:30The shooter was 130, but he was on the, he was on the opposite
- 6:34side of the field and the podium and he saw the, the smoke and
- 6:40the flame from the gun, immediately recognized it and
- 6:43immediately took a shot. And it was one perfect shot from
- 6:47very far away. And if he, if he didn't do that,
- 6:50Elon, he would have, I mean, if he would have a lot of people, a
- 6:54lot more people have been, could have been badly hurt and killed.
- 6:58So I don't have to take my hat off to him because that's also a
- 7:01surreal, you know, you've been with them for 23 years and
- 7:05there's he's never had anything like this.
- 7:07And all of a sudden he has to act.
- 7:09And it's a very tough thing to act and to be shooting somebody.
- 7:12But he saw the, he saw the gun, saw the smoke, saw the flame
- 7:15from the gun very far away. I obviously has very good eyes.
- 7:19He's got very good vision, which I assume you have to have in
- 7:22that particular work. But he, he took aim very quickly
- 7:26and it was, they say it was approximately 5 seconds from
- 7:30long range one bullet. If that didn't happen because
- 7:33the shooter had a lot of bullets, he had a lot of a lot
- 7:36of cartridges are there with him.
- 7:38So what have been great? I mean, I mean that that that's
- 7:41clearly, you know, you know, he was he was very competent in
- 7:45taking that shot to stop the the assassin, the attempted
- 7:49assassination. But but I mean, there does seem
- 7:52to be, I mean, some pretty significant failings elsewhere
- 7:56in the system. Like there's just no way that
- 7:58like how on earth does a shooter get on a roof 130 yards away?
- 8:03That seems crazy. I think most people like what
- 8:07people are wondering how that on earth could such a thing happen.
- 8:09Well, you know, I view it as two ways.
- 8:11There should have been nobody in the roof.
- 8:13There were people because there were so many 10s of thousands of
- 8:16people there. There were people that were
- 8:18seeing him, and there was one woman with a red shirt and Trump
- 8:24all over it, and she's screaming that guys got a gun.
- 8:27You know, you saw it probably. Yeah, there's a guy with a gun.
- 8:32It's like I'm just, I'm just, I guess, I mean, fine for my part.
- 8:36And I think probably many members of the public are
- 8:38wondering how the heck are, you know, basically people wondering
- 8:43by pointing out there's a guy on the roof with a gun.
- 8:45Yeah. And they're seeing it, but
- 8:48somehow that's it's not being addressed.
- 8:52That does seem crazy. Well, they're going to learn
- 8:54from this. The communication between the
- 8:56local police who sort of had an idea and then ultimately a man
- 9:01lifted himself up to the roof, could barely do it because, you
- 9:04know, he was pulling himself up and he saw the man with the gun,
- 9:09the man with the gun pointed the gun at him.
- 9:11He thought he was probably going to get shot.
- 9:13But you know, who's like pulling himself up.
- 9:16And because of that he couldn't get to his gun.
- 9:19And he fell down actually very badly hurt his leg, his ankle, I
- 9:24hear very badly. But but he fell down and he did,
- 9:27you know, from what I understand, he did say there's a
- 9:30guy up there with a gun And the, the shooting started very
- 9:34quickly after that. I think it, I think it forced
- 9:37the shooter to go maybe quicker. You know, you're supposed to be
- 9:40a very good shot. Yeah.
- 9:42My sons Don and Eric, they, they can't believe what happened.
- 9:46But they said from 130 yards a bad shot would hit that target
- 9:51almost every time. They said it's like in golf
- 9:54thinking a 2 foot putt. Yeah, it's, it's not a hot, it's
- 9:56not a tough shot. It's not a, it's not a long
- 9:58shot. The Secret Service person had
- 10:01the long shot. He had a, you know, triple the
- 10:03distance actually. So, you know, it was a terrible
- 10:08thing. Look, it's hard, I have to say
- 10:12this about the Secret Service. When I went down and, you know,
- 10:15I went down based on, I think they're screaming.
- 10:18But other people also, because people saw this happen, you
- 10:21know, you had so many people. One of the miracles was that
- 10:24nobody ran. I mean, if a gun goes off, the
- 10:27crowd control people showed that, showed us this.
- 10:30When guns go off, and it does happen in stadiums, at a soccer
- 10:33match or some kind of a match, everybody flees.
- 10:36They call it a Stampede like cattle, but everybody and a lot
- 10:39of people get killed with those stampedes.
- 10:41We had more people than you'd have at, you know, some of these
- 10:45matches or these games and nobody left.
- 10:48You know, you had a small group behind us in the grandstand and
- 10:52that was full. And you look at it as it was
- 10:55taking place and normally they'd be running.
- 10:58They didn't leave. They saw that I was hurt.
- 11:01They saw a lot of blood and they saw that I went down and it's
- 11:04almost like they wanted to be with me.
- 11:06Well, out front you had thousands, 10s of thousands of
- 11:09people you as far as the eye could see.
- 11:11You had people in Butler as far as the eye could see.
- 11:14And and yeah, and a lot of press too.
- 11:17That was, you know, many cameras on watching this.
- 11:20It's what made makes it so different because normally
- 11:23things happen that aren't good, but you never have a picture of
- 11:26it. Here we have all these cameras
- 11:27shooting it. So, you know, sort of amazing.
- 11:30But one of the interesting things was that you didn't have
- 11:34anybody flee. You didn't have anybody Stampede
- 11:36nobody. And there was some people behind
- 11:38me. They stood up and they're
- 11:39looking like, you know, I mean, I'll say you want to have you
- 11:42want to have them in a foxhole with you.
- 11:44I want to meet some of those people because it's so different
- 11:46from what you heard. But so, so I was down, but the
- 11:50Secret Service guys, there were bullets flying right over my
- 11:53head. You could hear them go whizzing
- 11:54and, and these guys came jumping on top of me and a young lady,
- 11:59Kate would jump. They they moved so fast and let
- 12:04me tell you that took tremendous courage.
- 12:06Now there was a lack of coordination.
- 12:09There was, you know, obviously everybody understands that
- 12:12somebody that that building should have been covered.
- 12:14And yeah, I mean, that was the big thing.
- 12:16I mean, I mean, looking at the the aerial views, that building
- 12:20would be like the number one spot for a sniper.
- 12:22I mean, it's like, it's like the if you were to pick like what is
- 12:24the favorite if you so if the goal is to assassinate, what's
- 12:28your favorite spot that building?
- 12:29That building would be number. One that would have been the.
- 12:31Spot, it's like you can, you can ask for a, it's like no.
- 12:34That would have been this. You know, what people think is
- 12:37when the local policeman, who by the way, you know, he really, he
- 12:43did what he was supposed to do. He couldn't hold on any longer.
- 12:45And then when he got his head just peeking above this guy
- 12:48standing there with a gun at his head.
- 12:50And when he fell down again, hurt his ankle very badly.
- 12:54But he was making the calls. But what happened is the firing
- 12:57took place very soon. So what they think is that this
- 13:00guy ran to his site, which he had all planned out with the
- 13:03gun. He ran to the site and he
- 13:06started shooting fast. And maybe that's why he, well,
- 13:11he sort of missed. I mean, you know, he, yeah, but
- 13:15it could have been, it could have been, could have been a
- 13:18much bigger problem. But he totally would have hit if
- 13:21if you hadn't turned your head. So, but like, you know, there
- 13:23was a it was a very near thing. It was a.
- 13:26Miracle if I hadn't turned my head, yeah, I would not be
- 13:29talking to you right now, as much as I like you.
- 13:31Exactly. I would not, yeah, I would not
- 13:34be talking. To you from another realm pass.
- 13:37Yeah, that's right. We'd be talking from a different
- 13:39place. But it was a, it was a, you
- 13:43know, it was a very terrible experience.
- 13:44The the Butler Hospital. They did such a great job.
- 13:48The doctors were so good. Everybody was so good.
- 13:51There was there was a mistake. If if somebody knew, because
- 13:55people were hearing that, you know, there was just a bad
- 13:57feeling that there was somebody was around, you know, that story
- 14:00now it's been yeah. And if somebody could have said,
- 14:03because they've oftentimes said, you know, like there'd be a
- 14:05lightning storm or something because I've done I think over
- 14:08300. I think I did a lot more that,
- 14:10but we did a lot. And oftentimes they'll say, Sir,
- 14:12could you wait 10 minutes, please?
- 14:14Sir, could you wait 20 minutes? There's the storm overhead or
- 14:16lightning or something, right? And that happens often.
- 14:19And this would have been a perfect time for that to have
- 14:21happened. But it didn't.
- 14:23It didn't get coordinated. That was the problem.
- 14:26Well, it was your, I think your actions in the, in the heat of a
- 14:33fire in, you know, like what I find admirable there was that
- 14:37you can't fake bravery under such circumstances.
- 14:40The courage is instinctual or it is not.
- 14:42It's not a rehearsed action. And so I just want to say that I
- 14:45think a lot of people admire your courage under fire there.
- 14:48And yeah, so. Thank you very much.
- 14:51I appreciate it. I didn't.
- 14:52I don't think I didn't think of it.
- 14:53I just want to get up and I want to stand up.
- 14:56I want to let people know, you know, I felt I was good when
- 14:59when they were on top of me, covering me, actually very much
- 15:03covering me and very bravely. But I wanted to get up.
- 15:06I said, I want to get up. And they wanted, you know, they
- 15:10had, they have everything there. They have, they wanted
- 15:13stretcher. I didn't like the stretcher and
- 15:15I knew I was hit in the year, but I knew I wasn't hit anywhere
- 15:17else. They felt I was hit someplace.
- 15:19Yes, it was such as a lot of blood and they were sure that I
- 15:22was hit someplace else. And they were saying, Sir, what
- 15:25you, you, you were hitting more than the year.
- 15:27I said, Nope, I was hit in the year.
- 15:29I want to get up, let me get up. And so we, I got up and the
- 15:33crowd didn't know what to think. I mean, this was so, so many
- 15:37people. And they did, you could see they
- 15:38were confused. They didn't know what to think.
- 15:40And I wanted to let them know I was OK.
- 15:43It was very important for me to let them know that.
- 15:45And they went wild. You you've seen the after.
- 15:48They didn't go wild when I got up because they didn't know.
- 15:52Was I alive? You really couldn't tell when I
- 15:54stood up before the hand, before the, you know, the fist in the
- 15:58air. They didn't know if I was alive.
- 16:01Nobody did. And when I put the fist up, they
- 16:04were, they were just relieved and happy and thrilled and the
- 16:09place went crazy. It was pretty amazing.
- 16:12It was a it was a terrible thing, but.
- 16:14It was, it was incredible. Probably moving.
- 16:16Yeah. Well, and, and I mean, Speaking
- 16:19of the, the, the, the sort of slide that got you to turn that
- 16:23saved your life really was the illegal immigration slide.
- 16:28Maybe this, maybe this is worth talking about about that.
- 16:32It was. It was.
- 16:33That slide, that slide. Saved my life.
- 16:35Now the illegal immigration saved my life.
- 16:37You're right. But it would I had to be at that
- 16:40exact angle. I mean, that's that's a great
- 16:42one. Saved.
- 16:44Saved by illegal. You know the the incredible
- 16:46thing, though, when you're talking about the odds, you had
- 16:48to be exactly at that angle. But but the incredible thing is
- 16:53that the chart, I used it less than 20% of the time.
- 16:56It was just a moment. Yeah.
- 16:58It's always on my left, never my right, and it's always at the
- 17:01end of the speech. So here we have it.
- 17:04It's on the right, not the left. It's at the beginning, not the
- 17:07end. And even the people that put it
- 17:09up, they were unprepared and they did a great job.
- 17:11They got it up immediately, fortunately.
- 17:13But I looked to the right and and the bullet and the bullet
- 17:17came whizzing by hitting my ear. So it was the basic.
- 17:21But when you think of the odds of that and yeah, you know that,
- 17:25that normally you wouldn't use it.
- 17:27Normally I wouldn't have the thing.
- 17:28And then, you know, it would have been a very different
- 17:30story. It's, it's very much I, I say an
- 17:33act of God. It's a miracle that it happened
- 17:37and I'm honored by it. I'm honored by it.
- 17:40Well, what? What, what, what?
- 17:44What were you about to say about illegal immigration before you
- 17:47were rudely interrupted? Well, I was going to say how
- 17:49good the numbers were. By the way, we're going back to
- 17:51Butler and we're going to go back in October.
- 17:54We're all set up and we're the people are fantastic in Butler.
- 17:58It's a big, it's a great area. Great.
- 18:00These are incredible people like the three that in the case of
- 18:04Corey killed and the other two the the families are, I get to
- 18:07know him a little bit and the families are great.
- 18:09But we're going back to Butler, and I think I'll probably start
- 18:13by saying, as I was saying. Prior to being.
- 18:18So horribly interrupted, but. Yeah, so rudely interrupted by
- 18:22it and. Yeah, no, but the charm.
- 18:25Some people have to have no. Matter, Elon, the chart was just
- 18:28a chart that in my last week we had the best illegal immigration
- 18:33numbers, meaning stopping it was at the lowest.
- 18:36You've seen the chart. It's become a quite a famous
- 18:38Yeah, but that was the lowest point ever recorded.
- 18:42It was a really. I mean, I was very proud of
- 18:45those numbers. And then you see what happened
- 18:47with these people, Kamala and Joe, you see what happened.
- 18:52They just let it go. I had remain in Mexico policies.
- 18:55I had all these different policies.
- 18:57That was so good. Guys like Tom Holman and Brandon
- 19:02Judd from Border Patrol, all these are all people that
- 19:05they've been on television. They says the best numbers we've
- 19:08ever had. We had so many different checks,
- 19:10catch and release in Mexico, not the United.
- 19:12We had catch and release in the United States.
- 19:14We had it in Mexico. We had so many things.
- 19:16We had things where if people, many people come in there, they
- 19:20have contagious diseases. We had everything passed.
- 19:24If you have a contagious disease, I'm sorry, but we can,
- 19:27we cannot allow you into the country.
- 19:29So we were setting literally records and I all I was doing is
- 19:35showing that and I, I used it sometimes.
- 19:37And in this case, I'm glad I used it.
- 19:39I can tell you that. But but they were fantastic
- 19:43numbers. But I'm going to sleep with that
- 19:44chart always. I'm going to, I'll be sleeping
- 19:46with that chart. That chart was was very
- 19:49important, very important for a lot of reasons.
- 19:51Well, I mean, I mean, would it be accurate to, would it be
- 19:54accurate to say that you're supportive of legal immigration,
- 19:58but that, but we also need to shut down illegal immigration
- 20:03and especially unvetted illegal immigration because you, you
- 20:06know, and, and that's, that's not the same as saying that
- 20:08everyone who's an illegal immigrant is bad.
- 20:10In fact, I think most people who are illegal immigrants are
- 20:13actually good but but you can't tell the difference unless
- 20:16there's a solid betting of who comes across the board.
- 20:19Does that actually represent your?
- 20:22Position, I say it very simply, they have to come in legally,
- 20:25they have to be checked because look, Kamala was the borders are
- 20:29now she's denying it. Everything that I do, she's
- 20:32saying she was strong on the border.
- 20:35We're going to be strong. Well, she doesn't have to say
- 20:37it. She could close it up right now.
- 20:39They could. They could do things right now.
- 20:40It's horrible. No tax on tips and all of a
- 20:44sudden she's making a speeches and there will be no tax on
- 20:46tips. I said that months ago.
- 20:48And by the way, they had just the opposite, you know, they had
- 20:51not only tax on tips, but they hired 88,000 IRS agents and many
- 20:57of them were assigned to go get waitresses and caddies and all
- 21:01of this on tips. They have a policy.
- 21:03They had a policy. They were really going to go
- 21:05after you and we're really harassing people horribly.
- 21:09And then all of a sudden for politics, she says, you know,
- 21:11she comes out with with what I said, which I think is terrible.
- 21:14And I think it's also hitting them very hard.
- 21:16These people are fake. Now they're also saying they did
- 21:19a good job in the border. We had the worst numbers in the
- 21:21history of the world, not of our country.
- 21:23There's never been a country in history that has had a
- 21:27catastrophe like this. We've had I believe, and I think
- 21:30you believe this too. You know, you hear 12 million,
- 21:32thirty, I believe it's over 20 million people came into our
- 21:35country, many coming from jails, from prisons, from from mental
- 21:41institutions or a bigger version of that is insane asylums.
- 21:45And many are terrorists. And I'll tell you what, they're
- 21:48coming not just from South America, they're coming from
- 21:50Africa, they're coming from all over the world.
- 21:52They're coming from Asia, they're coming from the Middle
- 21:55East. They're coming from countries
- 21:57that are stupidly and horribly bombing Israel October 7th.
- 22:03They're coming from all over the world.
- 22:05They and you know, you look at it's so sad October 7th, because
- 22:09it should have never happened. Yeah, it's so sad when you look
- 22:12at Ukraine. It should have never happened.
- 22:14We have a defective government. These are defective people, and
- 22:17they're not people that should be running it.
- 22:19But where you see it the best is the border, because you had, you
- 22:23have millions of people coming in a month.
- 22:25And then she gets up and she tries to pretend like she's
- 22:29going to do something. She had 3 1/2 years.
- 22:31And by the way, they have another five months that they
- 22:34can do something, but they won't do anything.
- 22:36It's all talk. He's been competent and he's
- 22:39incompetent. And frankly, I think that she's
- 22:41more incompetent than he is. And that's saying something
- 22:44because he's not too good. Yeah, No, I I think it's, it is
- 22:48essential to have a secure border.
- 22:51I mean, you're, you're really not a country unless you're a
- 22:53secure border and. And secure elections you.
- 22:57Know absolutely secure elections and so it's just essential to
- 23:02have a real border or we can't function as a country and our
- 23:06service, you know, our central services are being overwhelmed
- 23:09in a lot of cities. And but I, as we were talking
- 23:13about earlier, I think having illegal immigration process that
- 23:19is smooth and efficient and done well.
- 23:21And I'm speaking as someone who is illegal immigrant.
- 23:25And I think that that I mean, like, one way to think of it is
- 23:29who do you want on your team? You know, who like who do you
- 23:32want on team America? And, and I think we want to just
- 23:35say, OK, we, we want to let in people who are going to, you
- 23:40know, be great contributors to our society and to our economy
- 23:45and, you know, and who do you want on the team?
- 23:48And it's, and it's not to say that like in my opinion,
- 23:52actually, I'd say like probably most of the illegal immigrants
- 23:55actually are, are, are actually good working people.
- 23:58That's my opinion. But some are not.
- 24:01And, and you just have this sort of adverse selection process
- 24:06where you know, if, if somebody's, you know, if
- 24:10somebody's like, you know, has a career in, in theft or robbery.
- 24:16I don't understand what's taken them so long to get here because
- 24:21we are such a target rich environment.
- 24:23I mean, you know, why aren't they, why aren't more people who
- 24:27have a career in, you know, bad things coming here sooner?
- 24:31Because it's, I mean, it's a piece of cake to go rob, you
- 24:34know, houses in LA or New York compared to other parts of the
- 24:39world. And, and, and in a lot of places
- 24:42in America, if if you try to stop the person who's robbing
- 24:46you, you'll be arrested, No. That's right.
- 24:50I mean, what what's happening with crime?
- 24:52And our police are so good, but they're not allowed to do their
- 24:55job. But I have to tell you, Elon, I
- 24:57hate to say because it's such a downer to say it.
- 24:59I hate to say it, I hate it, but you have a lot of people that
- 25:03just shouldn't be. I think it's a much bigger
- 25:05number than you think. They're allowing again, they're
- 25:08allowing people from their jails.
- 25:09And if you were running one of these countries where they're
- 25:11coming from, you would have had all of them.
- 25:14As an example of Venezuela, their crime is down 72%.
- 25:19They're taking their drug dealers.
- 25:21They're taking, frankly, their prisoners.
- 25:22They're emptying out their prisons, they're taking their
- 25:25criminals, they're murderers, they're rapists, and they're
- 25:28they're delivering them into. That's what.
- 25:30That's what cast Castro. Yeah, well, they did on a much
- 25:32smaller scale, you know, is this much smaller scale.
- 25:35But this is a massive scale because this is being done
- 25:38worldwide. But here's what's happening.
- 25:40Crime all over the world is down.
- 25:43And wait till you see the numbers that we have, You know,
- 25:46these, this is migrant crime. This is crime that's going to
- 25:48be. And I saw it today in New York
- 25:50where somebody was knifed with a raped the girlfriend of a man
- 25:55that stood there watching in New York in one of the shelters and
- 25:59started pulling out the knives and bad things happened today.
- 26:02But this is happening every day. These are rough people.
- 26:05These are people that are in jail for murder and all sorts of
- 26:08things. And they're releasing them into
- 26:09our country and they're telling them if you come back, we're
- 26:12going to kill you. We're going to give you the
- 26:13death penalty or kill you. So they don't want to come back.
- 26:16But these are rough people. These are criminals that make
- 26:19our criminals look like nice people.
- 26:21And it's horrible what they're doing.
- 26:22And and and she's in charge of it because, you know, now she's
- 26:25trying to say she had nothing to do with it and she's such a liar
- 26:29because she was called the borders are the first day and it
- 26:32was on the headlines of every newspaper.
- 26:34She's the borders are and she never even went there.
- 26:36She went to one location which had nothing to do with where the
- 26:39problem is. You know, she went in and out, I
- 26:41guess because she was getting a lot of pressure, but had nothing
- 26:44to do with the problems. But she was the borders are and
- 26:47you people can't allow them to get away with their
- 26:50disinformation campaign. Now she's trying to say that she
- 26:54wasn't. She wasn't really involved, and
- 26:58the whole thing is horrible. She was totally in charge.
- 27:01She could have shut the border down without him.
- 27:03He didn't know what he was doing anyways.
- 27:05He wouldn't have even know what happened.
- 27:06You could shut the border down, he wouldn't even know the
- 27:08difference. But the fact is that she was
- 27:12borders are. But if you don't have to call
- 27:14her that, the fact is you could just call her.
- 27:17She was in charge of the border, and the border was the worst
- 27:20ever. It's it's simply not working.
- 27:22No, it's horrible. Whether whether it's by whether
- 27:25it's by whether it's a question of, of intention or competence,
- 27:30either way, we, we, we, we don't have a secure border and we have
- 27:34people streaming over like it looks like a world World War Z
- 27:37zombie apocalypse at times. And, you know, sometimes you,
- 27:40you, you, you got to sort of wonder like, is it real or not?
- 27:43So I, you know, because you see things here like, is it real?
- 27:46I so I went to the border at Eagle Pass and I saw it for
- 27:49myself in Texas. And I was like, OK, it's real.
- 27:52I'm like seeing this in real time.
- 27:53I actually posted the video like just live.
- 27:55I just, I just flew there one day and just to see, hey, is
- 27:57this, is this, is this made-up or real?
- 28:00And I'm, I'm just seeing people stream across the border And,
- 28:03and I have to say, you know, at least the people that I saw did
- 28:06not look friendly. You know, so these people can
- 28:09look at my video and say, hey, you know, these people look
- 28:12friendly. I don't look super friendly so.
- 28:14These are people that Elon would not be the same man if he had to
- 28:18walk across the street and look these people in the eye.
- 28:20These are rough people. These are really rough people
- 28:23coming across. And I know rough people.
- 28:25And these are people that we don't want in our country.
- 28:28And you know, the caravans are coming in and they're putting
- 28:31and, and who's doing this as the heads of the countries.
- 28:34And you would be doing it. And so would I and everyone say,
- 28:37oh, what a terrible thing to say.
- 28:38The fact is it's brilliant for them because they're taking all
- 28:42of their bad people, really bad people.
- 28:45And I hate to say this, the reason the numbers are much
- 28:48bigger than you would think is they're also taking their non
- 28:51productive people. Now these aren't people that
- 28:53will kill you. We have enough of them.
- 28:55But these are people that are non productive.
- 28:58They they are just not productive.
- 28:59I mean, for whatever reason, they're not workers or they
- 29:02don't want to work or whatever. And these countries are getting
- 29:05rid of non productive people in the caravans in many cases.
- 29:09And they're also getting rid of their murderers and their drug
- 29:12dealers and the people that are really brutal people.
- 29:16And they're coming into our country at levels that have
- 29:18never been seen before. And I saw an ad just before I
- 29:22got on the air. I'm I'm walking over here and I
- 29:25saw an ad by Kamala saying how she is going to provide border
- 29:30security. Where has she been for 3 1/2
- 29:32years? For 3 1/2 years?
- 29:33Yeah. No, no, we have 20 million
- 29:35people. It's a.
- 29:36Terrible. Yeah, I think this, frankly, I
- 29:39think this is a fundamental existential issue for the United
- 29:42States. And if we have another four more
- 29:45years of, of open borders and it's going to be even with
- 29:49another four more years, it's going to be even worse than it's
- 29:51been for the past, you know, 3 1/2 years.
- 29:55I'm not sure we've got a country.
- 29:55You don't have a country at that point, Ilan.
- 29:58If they get in, you will have 50 to 60 million people from all
- 30:03over the world, not South America only.
- 30:06You know, we think of South America.
- 30:07We think of Honduras and El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico,
- 30:12you know, the four. But it's not that it's
- 30:14everywhere. They're coming in from
- 30:16everywhere and I had to stay in. Mexico, this is a super
- 30:21important point. Like people, it's like basically
- 30:24when I went down there, I was like, well, where are people
- 30:25from? It's like, it's like almost no
- 30:27one was from Mexico. No, Mexico left.
- 30:29It's just it's. Just, it's just the border.
- 30:31It's just the border with Mexico, but the people coming
- 30:33in, it's, it's, it's Earth, the rest of Earth and, and America
- 30:38is, is only, you know, about four, four or 5% of the
- 30:41population of Earth. It would only take a few percent
- 30:44of the rest of Earth to overwhelm everything.
- 30:45We're already overwhelmed, Elon. It's we're overwhelmed.
- 30:49You had to see the news tonight about New York, NY and I love
- 30:53that place and what they're doing to it is horrible.
- 30:56What they're doing to it and all the courts do is they try and
- 30:58focus on Trump. Okay, then let's focus on Trump,
- 31:01who did nothing wrong. I complain about our rigged
- 31:04election. Elon, what's happened is
- 31:07unbelievable. You have from Africa, from the
- 31:10Congo. They're coming from the Congo
- 31:12and 22 people came in from the Congo recently and they're
- 31:16murderers and they're dropped. They drop them.
- 31:18They take them out of jails, which is very expensive, you
- 31:22know, to maintain the jail. So they don't do too much
- 31:24maintaining, I can tell you. But they take them out of jails,
- 31:27prisons, they take them out and they bring them to the United
- 31:30States. They deposit them in the United
- 31:32States. Since they don't ever come back,
- 31:33you're going to be executed and they don't want to come back,
- 31:36but they won't come back. Sure, but but they're coming
- 31:39from Africa, they're coming from Asia, they're coming from the
- 31:43Middle East, they're coming from South America, they're coming
- 31:45from. Everywhere basically.
- 31:47And there are a lot of. Really bad ones.
- 31:49It's just a, it's just, it's just an everywhere on Earth
- 31:52thing and it's just, it's just not possible for the United
- 31:54States to absorb, you know, everyone from Earth or, or, you
- 31:57know, even a few percent of the rest of Earth is just not
- 31:59possible. So, Elon, we're gonna have.
- 32:02Just that's that's just. To finish this up, we're gonna
- 32:04have the largest deportation in history of this country and we
- 32:09have no choice otherwise. We're going to have a country
- 32:11what they're what they've done to our country.
- 32:14Think of it with, with, you know, in Venezuela and in some
- 32:18of these other countries, crime is down 50, sixty, 7080%.
- 32:22And you would be the same. You would have, you would have.
- 32:25I'll tell you what, Venezuela has not gotten rid of all of
- 32:28them. They've gotten rid of about 70%
- 32:30of their really bad people. Their jails are about 50% put
- 32:34into the United States. Same with other countries.
- 32:37Some are 30%, some are at 50%. They're all different, but the
- 32:40bottom line is they're all going to be 100%.
- 32:42Why wouldn't you put 100% of? Yeah, and they're doing it right
- 32:46now while this third rate phony candidate, don't forget, I beat,
- 32:52I beat Biden. He failed in the debate
- 32:55miserably. And you know, some people said,
- 32:58oh, Gee, it's too bad. It's too bad he did so badly or
- 33:01I did well in the bed. You know, the first night they
- 33:03said, wow, one of the people at CNN said that was the greatest
- 33:06debate performance I've ever witnessed.
- 33:09And then two days later, they didn't talk about that.
- 33:11They just said he was bad. But that's OK.
- 33:13That's the way I get treated. And I don't mind that at all.
- 33:15What I can tell you is this. We cannot have a Democrat.
- 33:18We cannot have her. She's incompetent.
- 33:20She's as bad as Biden in a different yes.
- 33:23He hasn't done an interview since this whole scam started.
- 33:28And and say what you want, this was the coup.
- 33:31This was a coup of a president of the United States.
- 33:33He didn't want to leave. And they said we can do it the
- 33:35nice way or we can do it the hard way.
- 33:38Yeah, I'm they just took him out back behind the shed and
- 33:41basically shot him. You know what they did with this
- 33:43guy, and I'm no fan of his. And he was a horrible president,
- 33:46the worst president in history, and one of the reasons he was so
- 33:49bad. First of all, the Israeli attack
- 33:51would have never happened. Russia would never have attacked
- 33:54Ukraine and we'd have no inflation.
- 33:56And we wouldn't have had the Afghanistan mess, if you think
- 33:59of it well, and we wouldn't have had Afghanistan.
- 34:02But we think of it, we you take a few of those events away and
- 34:06we have a different world. We would also have no inflation
- 34:09was caused by oil. Yeah.
- 34:11No, no, I think you make an excellent point here, which is
- 34:14that when other countries can, you know, that that are, you
- 34:18know, are thinking about invading or doing bad things,
- 34:21when they're thinking about that, they're thinking about,
- 34:23OK, what's the American president going to do?
- 34:25And do they fear the American president?
- 34:28Or is there someone they they do not respect or and do not fear?
- 34:32And I think they they do, they do they would they have to put
- 34:36rightfully be I mean, but you know, look at that the footage
- 34:40of the assassination. They're like, OK, you know, the
- 34:44President Trump is it's like, don't mess with me.
- 34:47I mean, that's like, whereas I think people are not going to
- 34:51be. And they obviously have not been
- 34:52at all intimidated by Biden, and they certainly will not be
- 34:56intimidated by Kamala. And you have to really think
- 34:58about in the context of global security, that's that if the
- 35:03American president is someone that, like, you know, evil
- 35:07dictators are scared of, that makes a huge difference to the
- 35:11security of the world. So I had a good relationship
- 35:14with Putin despite Russia, Russia, Russia hoax that lasted
- 35:17for over 2 years. Just a hoax created by Hillary
- 35:20Clinton and Adam Shifty Schiff. Some just bad people, you know,
- 35:24just sick people, frankly. I mean, Schiff, Schiff is a sick
- 35:27person. He's going to end up probably
- 35:29being a senator. It's hard to believe.
- 35:31The whole thing is hard to believe, but that, you know,
- 35:33they put our country in danger with that stuff too.
- 35:36They actually when they make up stories and you have to fight
- 35:39your way out of it for a long time.
- 35:40But I know Putin very well. I got along with him very well.
- 35:44He respected me. And it's just one of those
- 35:46things. And he would we would talk a lot
- 35:49about Ukraine. It was the apple of his eye.
- 35:52But I said don't ever do it. Don't ever do it.
- 35:54You know, I shut down Nordstrom too.
- 35:56That was the big oil pipeline, the biggest, I think a biggest
- 35:58pipeline in the world going all over Europe.
- 36:00I shut it down. Biden came and then they say I,
- 36:03you know, I was, I loved Russia. I was a friend of Putin and I
- 36:05loved Russia. No, he actually said to me one
- 36:08time, he said, if you're my friend, I'd hate to see you as
- 36:10an enemy. I shut down his pipeline, the
- 36:12biggest pipeline. They were looking at that fund
- 36:15and this this pathetic president gets in there and the first
- 36:20thing he did, one of the early things he did is he shut down.
- 36:23He shut down Keystone XL pipeline, which is our pipeline
- 36:27that would have employed 48,000 people pipeline workers, shuts
- 36:32it down. That was, you know, a massive
- 36:35job that Obama refused to allow. I allowed it in my first week
- 36:41because it was jobs that had moved oil and by the way, in a
- 36:43much more environmentally friendly way.
- 36:45It's underground. It's not a truck that catches on
- 36:48fire or a train that catches on fire.
- 36:50But think of it. He shut down the XL pipeline,
- 36:55the Keystone XL pipeline. He shuts that down and he
- 36:59approves the Russian pipeline. Yeah, it doesn't make any sense.
- 37:03It's like it's inconsistent, certainly the, but I mean, I
- 37:07think it's just worth emphasizing to, you know, to
- 37:09listeners, the, the, the, the immense importance of, of
- 37:14whether the United States president is intimidating or not
- 37:18intimidating and how much that matters to global security.
- 37:22Because there's some real tough characters out there.
- 37:25And if they don't think the American president is tough,
- 37:28they will do what they want to do.
- 37:29I know everyone. And that puts that put that it
- 37:31puts the whole world in danger. Elon, I know everyone of them
- 37:34and I feel well. I know Putin, I know President
- 37:37Xi, I know Kim Jong Un of North Korea, I know every one of them.
- 37:40And let me tell you, people say, oh, this is terrible.
- 37:43He said, I'm not saying anything good or bad.
- 37:45They're at the top of the game. They're tough, they're smart,
- 37:49they're vicious, and they're going to protect their country.
- 37:52Whether they love their country, they probably do.
- 37:54It's just a different form of love, but they're going to
- 37:56protect their country. But these are tough people at
- 37:58the top of their game. And when they see a Kamala or
- 38:01when they see Biden, Sleepy Joe, thank, can't even believe it.
- 38:06They can't believe this happened.
- 38:08All the stuff that you're seeing now, all the horror that you
- 38:11look at Israel, they're all waiting for an attack from Iran.
- 38:14Iran would not be attacking, believe me.
- 38:17You know, when I was there, and I say it with respect because I
- 38:21think we would have been good with Iran.
- 38:23I don't want to do anything bad to Iran.
- 38:25But they knew not to mess around.
- 38:27Iran was broke because I told China, if you buy from Iran oil,
- 38:31it's all about the oil. That's where the money is.
- 38:33But if you buy oil from Iran, you're not going to do any
- 38:36business with the United States. And I meant it.
- 38:40And they said we'll pass. They didn't buy oil.
- 38:42Other countries likewise. You want to buy, you're not
- 38:45doing business with the United States.
- 38:46And they, they were at a point where they were, they had no
- 38:49money for Hamas. They had no money for Hezbollah.
- 38:51They had no money for any of these instruments of terror.
- 38:54And it was amazing. In fact, there were articles
- 38:58when I was leaving, which is hard to believe actually,
- 39:01especially when you look at what's happened to our country.
- 39:03Our country is so bad right now. It's such a different place.
- 39:06We were respected. Think of it four years ago, we
- 39:09were so respected to a point where when I said don't buy oil,
- 39:13they didn't buy oil, but they had no money and Israel would
- 39:16have never been attacked. It is zero chance.
- 39:20And again, I said to Vladimir Putin, I say don't do it.
- 39:23You can't do it, Vladimir. You do it.
- 39:25It's going to be a bad day. You cannot do it.
- 39:28And I told him things that what I do and he said no way.
- 39:33And I said way, and you know, it's the last time we ever had
- 39:36the conversation. He would he would never have
- 39:38done. I got along well with him.
- 39:40I hope to get along with well with them again.
- 39:42You know, getting along well with them is a good thing, not a
- 39:45bad thing. I got along well with you, Jong
- 39:47UN, when I met with President Obama just before entering, you
- 39:51know, it's a sort of a ritual. And I sat down with him and we
- 39:55talked. It was supposed to be for a very
- 39:56short period of time and turned out to be a long period of time.
- 39:59I said, what's the biggest problem?
- 40:00He said North Korea. I had that problem worked out
- 40:03very quickly. It was nasty at the beginning
- 40:04with. Rocket Man and you know all the
- 40:07different things, but all of a sudden I got a call.
- 40:09There was some epic tweets by the way.
- 40:11Yeah, they were. No, they were epic.
- 40:13Everything he said. He said that he has a red button
- 40:16on his desk. I said I have a red button on my
- 40:19desk too, but my red button is much bigger and my red button
- 40:22works. And then I called him Little
- 40:24Rocket man of Little Rocket Man. Anyway, here's the bottom line.
- 40:27All of a sudden I got a call from him and they said they want
- 40:30to meet. They want to meet me.
- 40:32And we met. Yeah, as you remember, we met in
- 40:34Singapore. We met and also in Vietnam, and
- 40:38I got along with him great. We were in no danger.
- 40:40But President Obama, President Obama thought we were going to
- 40:43end up in a war, a nuclear war with him.
- 40:46And let me tell you, he's got a lot of nuclear stuff too.
- 40:48He's got plenty of nuclear. He can do plenty of damage so.
- 40:52Yes, I mean, it's because, you know, I mean people like, like
- 40:56Kim Kim, you know, Kim Jong Un, they respond to strength, not
- 40:59weakness well, and he. And I got, he and I had a good
- 41:03relationship. You know, remember, I remember I
- 41:05met him and, and we walked onto his land.
- 41:07Nobody ever walked onto his land before I walked our kid.
- 41:10I wouldn't say, let's bring up Secret Service again.
- 41:13I wouldn't say they were thrilled when I did that.
- 41:15I walked onto his land and it was, it was an amazing period,
- 41:19but we were not in danger with him because of me.
- 41:22You know, I always say that we have enemies on the outside and
- 41:26we have enemies on the inside. We have some really bad people
- 41:29in our government and people that are and controlling of the
- 41:34people. I mean, I'd mentioned names, but
- 41:36I don't, I really don't want to give the credit, but we have
- 41:38some really bad and I say they're more dangerous than
- 41:41Russia and China. If you have a smart president, a
- 41:46president that gets it, we are not in danger from those
- 41:49countries because they need us and they need our help.
- 41:52I mean, we forced Obama. If you think about it, Obama and
- 41:55Biden and Bush to a certain extent, in all fairness, forced
- 41:59Russia and China together. And if you're a history student,
- 42:04the first thing you learn is you cannot let Russia and China
- 42:07align. But then they also got, if you
- 42:09take a look, Iran and they have North Korea, that's, you know,
- 42:13they caught the axis of evil. In the old days, you had the
- 42:16axis of evil. Here we have a modern day axis
- 42:19of evil. These are powerful countries,
- 42:22very heavy nuclear, which is the biggest threat.
- 42:25You know, the biggest threat, it's not global warming where
- 42:27the ocean is going to rise one 1/8 of an inch over the next 400
- 42:31years. The big and you'll have more,
- 42:33you'll have more oceanfront property, right?
- 42:35The biggest threat is not that the biggest threat is nuclear
- 42:38warming because we have five countries now that have
- 42:41significant nuclear power. And we have to not allow
- 42:46anything to happen with stupid people like Biden.
- 42:48You know, Biden did something with Russia.
- 42:52There was number chance of him ever going in.
- 42:54And when I left and then then after I left, they started
- 42:57forming big armies on there on the border with Ukraine, right?
- 43:01And I looked at that and I thought he was doing that
- 43:04because Putin's a good negotiator.
- 43:05I thought he was doing that to negotiate.
- 43:07But then Biden started saying such stupid things.
- 43:10For instance, he said that it can be a NATO country now put
- 43:16Russia for for as long as there's been NATO has said we're
- 43:19never going to agree to that. And we go right up front and say
- 43:23that. And we did things and said
- 43:25things through this president with a low IQ, very low IQ.
- 43:28He had a low IQ 30 years ago by the way, but now he might not
- 43:31even have a IQ at all. That there is no, there's
- 43:34nothing on the board that goes this law.
- 43:36He said things that were so stupid that that that war would
- 43:41have been that war had zero chance of happening if I were
- 43:45there, zero chance. He was saying everything the
- 43:48opposite, everything the opposite.
- 43:50And it's so sad because many more people have been killed in
- 43:54Ukraine than you read about. You don't read about how bloody
- 43:56it is and how does that they look just in the two armies.
- 43:59You lost a half a million people and and you know, Ukraine's
- 44:03having a hard time. Ukraine.
- 44:04I don't know if you saw the article recently and it's true.
- 44:07You don't hear the true story. But if you think about it,
- 44:11Russia's gone. You know, Russia defeated
- 44:13Germany with us and they defeated Napoleon.
- 44:16You know, they've been around a long time.
- 44:17They're a big fighting for, and it's very unfair.
- 44:21And Ukraine now doesn't have enough men.
- 44:24They're now using young men and very old men to fight.
- 44:27And it's it. We're in a very bad position.
- 44:30And I'm not going to blame exclusively, but I can tell you
- 44:34I could have stopped that. And a smart president could have
- 44:37stopped that. It wouldn't have happened.
- 44:38But we had it. We had a man that actually made
- 44:41it, it made it more prevalent. It, it, it was so bad, the words
- 44:45that he was using, the stupid threats coming from a stupid
- 44:49face that that he was using. I said, this guy's going to
- 44:53'cause this, the war, he's going to cause this.
- 44:55And let me tell you, it can lead to World War three.
- 44:57That can lead to World War three.
- 44:58The Middle East can lead to we have numerous places that could
- 45:02end up in a World War Three right now for no reason
- 45:05whatsoever. I think you're right.
- 45:07I think I think people under underrate the risk of World War
- 45:10three and it's just the the you know, when when looking at the
- 45:14risk of global thermonuclear warfare, it's game over for
- 45:17humanity. And, you know, that's it's
- 45:20something that people have, I think after the end of the Cold
- 45:23War, people have become complacent about, but they're
- 45:25actually have forgotten that there are currently a lot of
- 45:29nuclear missiles that that that are that that have targeting
- 45:32parameters for the United States from other.
- 45:34Countries. And one of the things we're
- 45:35going to do is we're going to build an Iron Dome over us.
- 45:38We're, you know, Israel has it. We're gonna have the best Iron
- 45:41Dome in the world. We need it.
- 45:42And we're gonna make it all in the United States.
- 45:44But we're gonna have, we're gonna have protection because it
- 45:47just takes one maniac to, you know, start something.
- 45:49We're gonna have protection and we're gonna have, why shouldn't
- 45:52we have an Iron Dome? Israel has one, some other
- 45:54place. You have one that nobody even
- 45:56knows about, frankly, but Israel has it.
- 45:58We're gonna have an Iron Dome. But you know, with all of that
- 46:01being said, to me, that's so important, the most important.
- 46:05But with all of that being said, the elections coming up and the
- 46:08people want to hear about the economy and the fact that they
- 46:11can't buy groceries because they don't have enough money to buy
- 46:14groceries. The inflation has killed them.
- 46:16Food prices are up 5060, even 100% in some cases.
- 46:20And this, this stupid administration allowed this to
- 46:24happen. And it's a shame.
- 46:26And that's the thing that people most care about, in my opinion.
- 46:28They care about the border a lot.
- 46:30And we discussed the border at great lengths.
- 46:32And it's nice to have a forum like this where I can discuss
- 46:34something at length. And by the way, you think Biden
- 46:37could do this interview? Do you think that Kamala could
- 46:40do this interview? They would take a pass.
- 46:42On you they could not. So they don't need Elon.
- 46:45They don't need Elon screaming out questions.
- 46:48It's it's pretty sad when you think that somebody that does
- 46:52this for a living can't answer a question or is afraid to do an
- 46:55interview. And in her case with a very
- 46:57friendly interview, she's got all friendly interviewers.
- 47:00It's pretty, yes. But the big thing now is the
- 47:02economy, Elon. And as much as I mean, and I
- 47:05viewed nuclear is the single most important thing, but a lot
- 47:08of people, a lot of people don't understand that.
- 47:10But it doesn't have to. If I understand that, that's all
- 47:13you need. Because if I was president,
- 47:15you're not going to have that kind of a problem.
- 47:16But the thing that they really is making them angry is what
- 47:21Kamala and Biden have allowed to happen to the economy.
- 47:24It's a disaster with inflation. The inflation, it doesn't matter
- 47:30what you make, the inflation has eaten you alive if you're a
- 47:33worker or if you're a just a, a middle income person you can't
- 47:39afford, you know, four years ago, five years ago, people were
- 47:41saving a lot of money. Today they used it all their
- 47:44money and borrowing money just to live.
- 47:46It's it's a horrible thing that's happening and we'll end
- 47:49that quickly a lot of. Yeah, a lot of people just don't
- 47:53understand, don't understand where inflation comes from.
- 47:56Inflation comes from government overspending because the checks
- 47:59never bounce when it's written by the government.
- 48:00So if the, if the, if the government that spends far more
- 48:04than it brings in, that increases the money supply and
- 48:07if the money supply increases faster than the rate of goods
- 48:09and services, that's inflation. So, so really we need to have,
- 48:15we need to reduce our government spending and we need to
- 48:19reexamine. I think we, I think we need like
- 48:21a government efficiency Commission to say like, Hey,
- 48:23where are we spending money that's sensible?
- 48:25Where is it not sensible? And we need to live within our
- 48:29means. We're currently adding, I think,
- 48:32a trillion dollars to the deficit every roughly every
- 48:35hundred days. And, you know, the interest
- 48:38payments on the national debt have now exceed the defense
- 48:41budget. It's on the order of a trillion
- 48:43dollars. It's interest.
- 48:44And it's and it keeps. It keeps.
- 48:46Growing. I rebuilt our military, largely
- 48:48rebuilt our military, did a great job on it, which was so
- 48:50important. You know, we had jets, we had
- 48:52fighters that were and bombers that was 70 years old and we did
- 48:56a great job in that. Then we, by the way, that we
- 48:58gave 85 billion of it back to Afghanistan, if you can believe
- 49:02it. We gave them 85 billion that,
- 49:04you know, they're one of the largest sellers of military
- 49:07equipment of the world. They're selling what we gave
- 49:08them. That was one of the most
- 49:11embarrassing days in the history of our country.
- 49:13But if you think about go, let's go back to the the economy, we
- 49:19have to bring energy prices down.
- 49:20Energy started it the price of gasoline now your cars don't
- 49:25require too much gasoline. So you know you're you have a
- 49:28good and you do make a great product.
- 49:29I have to say I have to be honest with you that doesn't
- 49:32mean everybody should have an electric car, but these are
- 49:34minor details but your your product is incredible.
- 49:37But but the gasoline, Elon, is the the cost of energy, not only
- 49:42gasoline, it's the cost of heating your house and cooling
- 49:45your house that has to come down.
- 49:47It it's gone up 100 percent, 150 and 200%.
- 49:52And that has to come down. When that comes down and we're
- 49:55going to drill, baby drill. You know, they stopped drilling
- 49:58and then they went back to drilling because they went back
- 50:01to the Trump policy. But if they won the day after
- 50:04they get into office, we're going to this country will go
- 50:08out of business because they're going to go to an energy policy
- 50:11that's not sustainable. Wind and different things.
- 50:15You're not gonna have anything. And, and I know you're a big fan
- 50:18of the AI and I have to say that AI, and this is shocking to me,
- 50:23but AI requires twice the energy that the country already
- 50:27produces for everything. So what you're gonna have to
- 50:30build, we're gonna have to build a lot of energy if our country
- 50:34will be competitive with China because that's our primary
- 50:37competitor for this on the AI, you're gonna need a lot of
- 50:41electricity. You're gonna need tremendous
- 50:43electricity, like almost double what we produce now for the
- 50:47whole country, if you can believe it.
- 50:48Sure. Well, just going, you know, back
- 50:51to this like this, this this basic thing which that people
- 50:55try to make it sound complicated is not, but inflation is caused
- 50:57by government overspending. Would you, would you agree that
- 51:01that we need to take a look at government spending and and and
- 51:05and have perhaps a government efficiency Commission that that
- 51:09just look tries to make the spending sensible and so the
- 51:11country lives within its means just like a just like a.
- 51:13Person waste is incredible and it's nobody negotiates prices.
- 51:19You used to have a lot of people making jets and you end up with
- 51:21two companies and they'll probably try and merge at some
- 51:24point. Yeah.
- 51:25I mean, I I went through it like air for just a thing like Air
- 51:30Force One. One of the first documents, they
- 51:32asked me to sign a general walks.
- 51:33And Sir, would you please sign this document?
- 51:35What is it? Air Force One?
- 51:37That's with Boeing, which is basically two planes, 2747 and
- 51:41the price was $5.7 billion for two planes.
- 51:44Now what? Now they're highly
- 51:46sophisticated. They're even nicer than your
- 51:48plane, OK, but much more sophisticated.
- 51:50They're very, I won't say what's on it, but they got a lot of
- 51:53stuff on it anyway. But it's 5.7 I.
- 51:56Listen, that's a crazy. It's.
- 51:57A crazy number, but I said I'm not going to pay 5.7, I'm not
- 51:59going to do it. I said who made the deal?
- 52:01Obama and his people. I said, well, then I know the
- 52:04deal is no good, I'm not going to do it.
- 52:06And over a course of about four weeks, by my saying I'm not
- 52:10going to do it, I got the price reduced by $1.6 billion for the
- 52:14exact same plane, other than we had a nicer paint job, if you
- 52:17want to know the truth. But for the exact same plane I
- 52:21got, I saved one. And I said to Boeing, man, you
- 52:23guys must make a lot of money if you can reduce the price by
- 52:26that. But now what I do here is that
- 52:28they're going back to the Biden administration and wanting big
- 52:33cost overruns, you know, because they see these dopey suckers in
- 52:36there and they'll end up getting some of the money back.
- 52:39But I shaved it by $1.6 billion for the exact same plan.
- 52:43And and you can now take that and multiply that out times
- 52:47thousands of other items. Multiply it.
- 52:49By the numbers and yeah, astronomical, I agree with you.
- 52:52Well, I mean, if so, so, I mean, I mean, I think it would be
- 52:57great to just have a government efficiency Commission that takes
- 52:59a look at at these things and, and just ensures that the
- 53:03taxpayer money, the taxpayers hard earned money is spent in a
- 53:08good way. And, and, and I'd be happy to
- 53:11help out on such a Commission. I'd love it if it were foam.
- 53:14Well, you, you're the greatest cutter.
- 53:16I mean, I look at what you do. You walk in and you just say you
- 53:19want to quit. They go on strike.
- 53:21I won't mention the name of the company, but they go on strike
- 53:23and you say that's OK, you're all gone.
- 53:25You're all gone. So everyone of you is gone and
- 53:28you are the greatest. You would be very good.
- 53:29Oh, you would love it. But you know, if you look at
- 53:32Argent. I'll be happy.
- 53:33By the way, congratulations, I just looked at the number of
- 53:36people that are listening to you and I chat, we'll call it a
- 53:38chat, but congratulations, this is very good.
- 53:42I mean, it's great. It's and and you're an
- 53:44interesting character. You know, the new head of a
- 53:49place called Argentina and he was, he's a big, you know, he's,
- 53:53he's great and he's a big mega fan.
- 53:55You know that he ran on Mega and he took it to an extreme too.
- 53:59He ran on Mega and I hear he's doing really a terrific job.
- 54:03It's called Make Argentina Great Again.
- 54:05It worked out perfectly. He came and he bought a lot of
- 54:07hats he brought over. But he's, he's doing a big job.
- 54:10He really cut and I'm hearing he's starting to do pretty well.
- 54:15Inflation's getting down. You know, they had like 2000%.
- 54:18They had inflation like, like not normal inflation.
- 54:21They had the the real deal. But we're going to have that
- 54:25pretty soon. We we have, I think we have the
- 54:27worst inflation we've had in 100 years.
- 54:29They say it's 48 years. I don't believe it.
- 54:32I think we have the worst. They don't include a lot of the
- 54:34items that should be included, you know.
- 54:36Yeah. Well, it's, it's, it's, it's
- 54:38just from, from government overspending and, and not just
- 54:41not spending taxpayer money. Yeah, effectively and, and
- 54:45having, you know, just depart like so many departments, you
- 54:48can't even name them all. And what Malay is doing is, you
- 54:53know, he's he's cutting government spending.
- 54:55He's he's simplifying things. He's having, you're putting in
- 54:58regulations that make sense. And I and, and, and Argentina
- 55:03overnight is experiencing a giant improvement in prosperity.
- 55:08But, but it's also a lesson for the United States, which is that
- 55:12Argentina used to be one of the most prosperous countries in the
- 55:14world, you know, in the, I think in the, in the 30s forties and,
- 55:19and because of bad government policy, it ruined the country.
- 55:23And, and if you take Venezuela, for example, Venezuela should be
- 55:26incredibly prosperous. They, they have, you know,
- 55:28phenomenal reserves of everything, oil everything.
- 55:33And it should be prosperous. But if the government's wrong,
- 55:36it, it impoverishes the people. And so I think we should not be
- 55:40complacent in the United States and thinking that and taking out
- 55:43prosperity for granted because if if with bad government policy
- 55:48run the country into the ground and that that's that's just
- 55:50something people should bear in mind.
- 55:51Don't take prosperity for. Granted, well, think of
- 55:54education. So we're ranked at the bottom of
- 55:56every list of the Top 40. We're ranked #40 #38 Norway,
- 56:03Switzerland, Sweden, as different countries are ranked
- 56:07good. Actually, China's pretty close
- 56:09to the top. There are top six or seven, but
- 56:11we're ranked at the bottom, almost at the bottom, 383940.
- 56:16In other words, horrible. And yet we spend more per pupil
- 56:19than any other country in the world.
- 56:20So we spend more. And what I'm going to do one of
- 56:23the first acts, and this is where I need an Elon Musk.
- 56:26I need somebody that has a lot of strength and courage and
- 56:29smarts. I want to close up Department of
- 56:31Education, move education back to the state where, where, where
- 56:35states like Iowa, where states like Idaho, you know, not every
- 56:40state will do great because states that basically aren't
- 56:43doing good. Now you look at Gavin Newscom,
- 56:46the governor of California, he, he's terrible.
- 56:49He's does a terrible job. So he's not going to do great
- 56:52with education. But of the of the 50, I would
- 56:55bet that 35 would do great and 15 of them or, you know, 20 of
- 57:02them will be as good as Norway. You know, Norway's considered
- 57:05great. You can name them.
- 57:07I mean, just they're so good. Some of these countries are so
- 57:10good. But if I if you go into some of
- 57:13these really well run states, you know, we have states that
- 57:15don't know what debt is. We have states that are have low
- 57:18taxes, no debt, everybody working.
- 57:21You know, they're really well run.
- 57:23And maybe they have certain advantages in terms of location,
- 57:26in terms of, you know, the land or the, the sun, the sun and the
- 57:30water and the whole thing. You know, there are a lot of
- 57:32advantages that some people, if you moved education back to the
- 57:3650, you'll have some that won't do well, but you'll have but it
- 57:39they'll actually be forced to do better because it'll be a pretty
- 57:42bad situation. But if you think about it, yeah,
- 57:45you'll have some of these states.
- 57:47I'll bet you'd have 3035 states. It'll be much better.
- 57:50And you know what, it'll cost less than half what it is in in
- 57:53Washington. And these people don't care
- 57:56about the students in these, you know, far away states.
- 57:59And it will be. It'll be unbelievable.
- 58:01Yeah, I think you're making a good point in and that if the
- 58:05states have to have to, if each individual, if each state has to
- 58:08compete against other states, then then people will naturally
- 58:11move to to states where it's better.
- 58:14Well, like California, you know, as we said, it's, it's a badly
- 58:17run state. I could go through.
- 58:19I got so many friends that are in those states, even if they're
- 58:22Democrats. I hate to mention certain
- 58:24states, but Illinois is badly run with Pritzker.
- 58:26He's a he's a real loser. But but you know, some of these
- 58:30places are just badly run, but you know, it's almost going to
- 58:34force them to run better and they won't do a good initially,
- 58:37but but can you're not going to do worse than you're doing right
- 58:40now. And I would say that the cost,
- 58:42you would cut your cost by 50 or 60% and you'd have a little
- 58:47monitor, you know, you want to make sure they're teaching
- 58:49English as an example, you know, give us a little English, Right?
- 58:52Sure, right. No, but I mean, I mean, I mean
- 58:54some of these governors are like are doing so badly.
- 58:57I mean they got so many people moving out of their state.
- 59:00They should. They should get U-Haul Salesman
- 59:02of the Year award because they're driving so much.
- 59:05You will. It's actually amazing.
- 59:06People, people move it. Out.
- 59:07Isn't it amazing to you as a businessman that they can even
- 59:11survive? Like Illinois, so many people
- 59:13are leaving and you wonder, how do they survive?
- 59:16I mean, how do they survive? I saw where you left California
- 59:20and you moved to Texas. Texas does a great job.
- 59:24But you know, I mean, I just wonder how do these states
- 59:27survive when big businesses, a big oil company just left
- 59:31California's, you know, and they moved to Texas.
- 59:33How do these big states survive when they lose so many
- 59:37businesses and their taxes are already really high?
- 59:40You know, the taxes are among the highest taxes.
- 59:43You almost wonder how do they, how do they continue on?
- 59:46And in many cases, the governor's don't do a good job
- 59:49and they're crime ridden places. You wonder how do they continue
- 59:52to just go on? It's, it's not, it's not a good
- 59:55situation. I mean, I think the thing that's
- 59:58the only thing that's going to force some of these states to
- 1:00:00change is if they risk bankruptcy and they're not
- 1:00:02getting bailed out by the federal government.
- 1:00:04Right. Well, that's the only thing
- 1:00:05that's going to. Get them changed.
- 1:00:07You remember the area in California where they had that,
- 1:00:09where I guess somebody had sticky fingers and they stole a
- 1:00:13lot of money and they went into a form of chapter and it was
- 1:00:18very nasty for a period of time, but now it's probably the most
- 1:00:21popular place in all of California.
- 1:00:23So so, you know, you at some point something like that may
- 1:00:26have to happen. But the problem is you can't
- 1:00:30penalize people that loan money to the state when you have
- 1:00:33incompetent people like a Pritzker.
- 1:00:35Look, the family didn't want him in the family business.
- 1:00:38And then he ends up being governor of Illinois.
- 1:00:40So, you know, what is he going to be?
- 1:00:42Is he going to be a great governor?
- 1:00:43And you know, you have people. I could name everyone of them.
- 1:00:46I got to know everyone of these. And some are very good and some
- 1:00:49are just horrible. Well, I think that I mean that
- 1:00:51larger point here too, you know, as you're saying, like the, you
- 1:00:54know, a lot of people are concerned about the economy, a
- 1:00:55lot of people are concerned about inflation and inflation is
- 1:00:58effectively a tax on people that, that, that save money.
- 1:01:01And, and, and for people that are working day-to-day, it's,
- 1:01:04it's, it's just, it's just a form of taxation.
- 1:01:07And, and if we can solve the government's spending problem,
- 1:01:10we'll solve the inflation problem, which means people will
- 1:01:13have a better standard of living.
- 1:01:14And that's that's a really big deal.
- 1:01:15The people that got hurt worse are the people that did it the
- 1:01:19way they were taught to do it all through, you know, their
- 1:01:22younger life and their their young life and their whole life.
- 1:01:25The people that saved money and then they got no interest on
- 1:01:29their money and inflation destroyed them.
- 1:01:32And frankly, they were almost better off if they didn't do
- 1:01:34anything like that. I mean, those people have been
- 1:01:36absolutely decimated. And we're going to bring those
- 1:01:39people back and help those people.
- 1:01:40We've got to get the prices down.
- 1:01:42You know, when I look at bacon costing 5, four or five times
- 1:01:46more than it did a few years ago, when when you look at some
- 1:01:49of the food products and groceries those people go, they
- 1:01:51can't believe it. They used to be able to buy a
- 1:01:54whole cart. And today, you know, a lot of
- 1:01:56people just don't have the money.
- 1:01:58They go in and they can't buy anything they they look at.
- 1:02:01Yeah. It's sticker.
- 1:02:02Shock. They call it sticker shock,
- 1:02:04right? I, I think it really just comes,
- 1:02:06like I said, things just comes down to, to, to really, I guess
- 1:02:08two really two things, which is, is that if, if you solve a
- 1:02:11government overspending, you solve inflation, which improves
- 1:02:14living standards of the, of the average person.
- 1:02:17And then, and then if, if you deregulate like have sensible
- 1:02:20regulations. So because a lot of the
- 1:02:23regulations are nonsensical and and cause the cost to be extreme
- 1:02:27for no reason. And but unless you've got
- 1:02:30effective deregulation like Reagan did, did a great job on
- 1:02:33deregulation in the 80s, but it's been 40 years since we
- 1:02:36hadn't had anyone. You really, I mean, during your
- 1:02:39administration, we made some progress, but I think the
- 1:02:42opportunity to make, I think radical progress with sensible
- 1:02:45regulation and and and and if well, you know, on we those two
- 1:02:50things, yeah, those are the big deal.
- 1:02:51We. Set a record, we said.
- 1:02:54We did more deregulation and more restrictions on all of the
- 1:02:59different businesses than any other president.
- 1:03:01I remember I had the rule for everyone we put in you have to
- 1:03:04get rid of at 10 or 12. And we we did radical cuts on
- 1:03:09all of that. And a lot of that's being put
- 1:03:11back by this administration. And we did radical cuts and
- 1:03:14things that weren't necessary, but we were, we were all set.
- 1:03:17You know, we had the best economy ever maybe in the world.
- 1:03:21And then what happened is Kovac came in and we had a focus on
- 1:03:24that and nobody knew what it was.
- 1:03:26And I always say I got good marks on economy, good marks on
- 1:03:29military. We knocked out ISIS.
- 1:03:30We did so many different things. We rebuilt.
- 1:03:33But you know, I never got the credit that we really deserved
- 1:03:37on what we did with with covered.
- 1:03:38We never got the credit. But we were, if had that not
- 1:03:42happened, a gift from China, from Wuhan, came in from Wuhan,
- 1:03:47the Wuhan labs and I always said it and it turned out to be
- 1:03:51right. But had that not, had that not
- 1:03:53happened, we were set to start reducing debt.
- 1:03:57We're going to reduce taxes further.
- 1:03:58I gave the largest tax cuts and we were going to reduce taxes
- 1:04:01still further for middle income people, not only businesses, but
- 1:04:05we did it for businesses because they're the ones that that's why
- 1:04:07we had the great job numbers. But we were set to really start
- 1:04:11reducing debt. And you know, we, we're sitting
- 1:04:14on the, the biggest pile of liquid gold anywhere in the
- 1:04:18world, bigger than Saudi Arabia, bigger than Russia.
- 1:04:21And we were going to drill and we were going to make so much
- 1:04:23money. We wouldn't supply Europe with
- 1:04:25oil. I had stopped the Russian
- 1:04:27pipeline and we were going to supply them with oil and gas.
- 1:04:30We were going to, we were going to make a fortune.
- 1:04:32And then the COVID came in and we had a, we really had to
- 1:04:37divert. Then what happened is when they
- 1:04:39came in, you know, we, we kept a lot of businesses alive.
- 1:04:42If I didn't do what we did, we would had a 1929 type
- 1:04:45depression. But the problem is when Biden
- 1:04:47came in, he got trillions of dollars and just started
- 1:04:51spending it stupidly. You didn't need it anymore.
- 1:04:53You know, we got over that bad period where it was everybody
- 1:04:56was dying and you know, it was, it was just not a good period.
- 1:05:00Interestingly, you know, during his administration, many more
- 1:05:05people died during his administration of COVID than
- 1:05:08during my administration. And we really got the brunt of
- 1:05:11it. But people don't realize more
- 1:05:13people died during his administration than ours.
- 1:05:16But it diverted us from doing what I wanted to do.
- 1:05:20But we had the greatest for, you know, almost three years.
- 1:05:23We had the great, and you know that probably better than
- 1:05:25anybody. So many of your friends said to
- 1:05:27me, the best years we've ever had in business were during the
- 1:05:31Trump years. And and also said that African
- 1:05:35American, Hispanic American were so incredible.
- 1:05:40They were having the best Asian American women, men, young
- 1:05:43people without a diploma, young people that graduated from the
- 1:05:47best colleges from from MIT, from the Wharton School, from
- 1:05:51all of the great colleges, Harvard.
- 1:05:53They were doing better and people without a diploma were
- 1:05:56doing better and everybody was was happy.
- 1:05:59And then COVID came and we had the problem is they spent
- 1:06:02trillions and trillions of dollars they wasted.
- 1:06:05They shouldn't have taken any money and we wouldn't be having
- 1:06:08inflation right now, which is killing our country.
- 1:06:11Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. I mean, I should probably say
- 1:06:14something about like, you know, maybe my views on, you know,
- 1:06:17climate change and oil and gas, because I think I'm probably
- 1:06:22different from what most people would assume.
- 1:06:25Because my, my views are actually pretty, I think
- 1:06:28moderate in this regard, which is that I, I don't think we
- 1:06:31should vilify the oil and gas industry and the people that
- 1:06:34have worked very hard in those industries to provide the
- 1:06:36necessary energy to, to support the economy.
- 1:06:39And, and if we were to stop using oil and gas right now, we
- 1:06:43would all be starving and the economy would collapse.
- 1:06:46So it's, you know, I don't think it's right to sort of vilify the
- 1:06:49oil and gas industry. And, and I, and I, you know, the
- 1:06:53world, the world has a certain demand for oil and gas.
- 1:06:56And it's probably better if the United States provides that
- 1:06:58than, than, than some other countries.
- 1:07:01And, and it would, it would help with prosperity in the US.
- 1:07:04And at the same time, obviously my view is, is like we do over
- 1:07:08time want to move to a sustainable energy economy
- 1:07:11because eventually you do run out of, I mean, if you run out
- 1:07:15of oil and gas, it's not therefore it's not infinite.
- 1:07:18And there is there is some risk. I think it's not the risk is not
- 1:07:22as as high as you know, a lot of people say it is with respect to
- 1:07:26global warming. But I think if you, if you just
- 1:07:29keep increasing the cost of a million in the atmosphere long
- 1:07:32enough, eventually it actually simply gets uncomfortable to to
- 1:07:36breathe. People don't realize this.
- 1:07:37If the, if the, if you go to, if you go past 1000 plus per
- 1:07:40million of, of CO2, you start getting headaches and nausea.
- 1:07:45And so we're, we're, we're now in the sort of 400 range.
- 1:07:48We're adding, I think about roughly 2 plus per million per
- 1:07:52year. So I mean, still gives us.
- 1:07:54So what it means is like we still have quite a bit of time,
- 1:07:58but but so there's not like we don't need to to rush and and we
- 1:08:01don't need to like, you know, stop farmers from farming or,
- 1:08:05you know, prevent people from having steaks or right, basic
- 1:08:09stuff like that, Like like you leave the farmers alone.
- 1:08:11I agree. How crazy is that?
- 1:08:13Where I mean, you have farmers that are not allowed to farm
- 1:08:16anymore and have to get rid of their cattle and the whole the
- 1:08:19whole world is a little crazy, but it's largely taken its lead
- 1:08:23from us. I just say, though, I've heard
- 1:08:26in terms of the fossil fuel, because even to create your
- 1:08:31electric car and create the electricity needed for the
- 1:08:34electric car, you know, fossil fuel is what really creates that
- 1:08:38at the generating plants. And, you know, so you sort of
- 1:08:41can't get away from it at this moment.
- 1:08:43I mean, someday you might be able to.
- 1:08:45But I do hear we have anywhere from 100 to 500 years left.
- 1:08:48You know, much of it hasn't even been found yet.
- 1:08:50Yeah, but there are tremendous like Anwar.
- 1:08:53I got Anwar in Alaska approved. Ronald Reagan couldn't do it.
- 1:08:56Nobody could do it. Everybody tried.
- 1:08:58Nobody could do it. I got it approved.
- 1:09:00The 1st the thing that Biden did was unimprove it to get rid of
- 1:09:05it. He ended it.
- 1:09:07His his secretary went in and she ended it.
- 1:09:11And what a what a disgrace. That's Anwar that's bigger or
- 1:09:15they, they think it could be bigger than Saudi Arabia in
- 1:09:17Alaska, could be bigger than Saudi Arabia.
- 1:09:20But they went in and they terminated it.
- 1:09:22And I'll get it going very quickly because not only is it
- 1:09:25big for Alaska, I mean, you talk about economic development that
- 1:09:29for the United States. I mean that that is they say
- 1:09:31bigger than Saudi Arabia or the same size and pure really good
- 1:09:37stuff. And you know, they ended.
- 1:09:39So I think we have, you know, perhaps hundreds of years left.
- 1:09:42Nobody really knows, but during that.
- 1:09:45During. That time will come around that.
- 1:09:47Will be very good. Yeah.
- 1:09:49Well, I mean, my estimate would be, you know, a little more
- 1:09:53aggressive than that, but it's not the sort of like we're all
- 1:09:55going to die in five years stuff that that's obviously BS.
- 1:09:59But I mean, my view is like if you just look at sort of the
- 1:10:02posture million that increments every year, you know, you get
- 1:10:06sort of two or three posture million every year of CO2.
- 1:10:10I mean, my, I think some of that it's problematic if it
- 1:10:13accelerates, if you start going from two or three to say five.
- 1:10:17And then there may be some situations where you get to just
- 1:10:22a step change increase in the CO2.
- 1:10:25And, and I think we don't want to get too close to 1000 PPM
- 1:10:30because like that's, that's actually makes it uncomfortable
- 1:10:33to, to, to, to breathe, like just existing in, in 1000 PPM
- 1:10:37CO2 is, is uncountable. That's like, that's like a,
- 1:10:40that's considered like an industrial hazard, right?
- 1:10:42Just so, so it's, you know, that's, that's actually start
- 1:10:47getting headaches and stuff. So it's even without global
- 1:10:49warming, It's not, it's not comfortable.
- 1:10:51So you don't want to get too close to that.
- 1:10:53But I mean, I think we've got, I think we want to just move over
- 1:10:56like, and if, if I don't know, 50 to 100 years from now we're,
- 1:11:01we're, I don't know, mostly sustainable, I think that'll
- 1:11:05probably be OK. So it's, it's, it's not like
- 1:11:08the, the house is on, on fire immediately, but it, I think it
- 1:11:11is something we, we need to, to move towards and on, you know,
- 1:11:16on balance, it's probably better to move there faster than
- 1:11:20slower. But, but like I said, without
- 1:11:22vilifying the oil and gas industry and, and, and without
- 1:11:26causing hardship in the short term, I think this can be done
- 1:11:30with, without, you know, people can still have, you know, a
- 1:11:34stake and they can still drive gasoline in cars.
- 1:11:38And this, you know, it's, it's, it's OK.
- 1:11:39It's like, it's not. I don't think we should vilify
- 1:11:42people, but I think we should just just generally lean in the
- 1:11:44direction of, of sustainability. And I actually think solar is
- 1:11:50going to be a majority of, of Earth's energy generation in the
- 1:11:54future. And it's certainly trending that
- 1:11:56way. And, and so you get the solar
- 1:11:58power mind that with, with, with batteries.
- 1:12:01So because obviously the sun doesn't shine at night and, and
- 1:12:04then you use that to charge the electric cars and you have a
- 1:12:07long term sustainable solution. And you know, that's, that's
- 1:12:09what Tesla's trying to move things towards.
- 1:12:11And I think we've made a lot progress, progress in that
- 1:12:13regard. But when you look at our cars,
- 1:12:16we like, we don't believe that environmentalism, that caring
- 1:12:19about the environment should, should mean that you have to
- 1:12:20suffer. So we make sure that our cars
- 1:12:22are, are beautiful. If they drive well, if they're
- 1:12:24fast, they're, you know, sexy. I mean, they're, they're,
- 1:12:27they're cool. In fact, literally, I mean, the
- 1:12:29sexy joke Model S, Model 3 Model X&Y spells out sexy is probably
- 1:12:32the most expensive joke out there.
- 1:12:36But I, you know, I just, I don't know, I like cheesy humor, you
- 1:12:38know, so, and, but I'm, I'm, I'm a big fan of like, let's have an
- 1:12:43inspiring future and let's, let's work towards, you know, a
- 1:12:47better future And, and, and we can do so without demonizing.
- 1:12:50Right. I'm, I'm OK.
- 1:12:52You know, it's very interesting. You use the word global warming
- 1:12:55and today they use the word climate change because, you
- 1:12:57know, you have some places that go up and stuff.
- 1:13:00So they were getting themselves in a little trouble with the
- 1:13:02word global warming because not every place is warming.
- 1:13:05Some places are going the opposite direction.
- 1:13:07But, you know, I'm, I'm sort of waiting for you to come up with
- 1:13:10solar panels on the roofs of your cars and on the trunks of
- 1:13:13the cars. And it just seems like something
- 1:13:16that at some point you will come up with.
- 1:13:18I'm sure you'll be the first. But it would seem that a solar
- 1:13:21panel on on the roofs, you know, on flat surfaces, on certain
- 1:13:24surfaces might be good. Yeah.
- 1:13:26At least in certain areas of the country.
- 1:13:28We have the OR the world where you have the sun.
- 1:13:30But I would, I would think, and I have no idea because that's
- 1:13:34not my world, but I would think that this would be something
- 1:13:37that would be interesting. But, you know, the one thing
- 1:13:40that I don't understand is that people talk about global warming
- 1:13:43or they talk about climate change, but they never talk
- 1:13:46about nuclear warming. And for me, that's an immediate
- 1:13:50problem because you have, as I said, five countries.
- 1:13:53We have major nuclear and, and you know, probably some others
- 1:13:57are getting there and that's very dangerous.
- 1:13:59That's where you need a strong American president because you
- 1:14:01just you don't want to have this proliferation, but you have five
- 1:14:06countries and getting more. You know, China is much less
- 1:14:09than us right now, but they're, they're going to catch us sooner
- 1:14:12than people think. They're way lower.
- 1:14:14Russia and us are #1 and we were sort of tied and China's far
- 1:14:19behind. But they're developing at a
- 1:14:21level that, you know, you're not surprised to hear very fast.
- 1:14:24It's going to, they'll end up catching up, maybe even passing.
- 1:14:28But to me, the biggest problem is not climate change.
- 1:14:32It's not and, and and everything's, you know, a
- 1:14:35problem, but it's degrees. To me.
- 1:14:36The big problem is the nuclear power.
- 1:14:38The power of nuclear is so great.
- 1:14:42And when I talk about I'll prevent world, yeah, I'll
- 1:14:44prevent World War three. I will.
- 1:14:47But. But the truth is that you have
- 1:14:49to, because this is no longer army tanks going back and forth
- 1:14:52and shooting at each other. This is, yeah, a level of
- 1:14:55destruction and power that nobody's ever seen before.
- 1:14:59Yeah. And actually there's there's the
- 1:15:01bad side of nuclear, which is a nuclear war, very bad side.
- 1:15:03But there's, there's also, I think, nuclear electricity.
- 1:15:08Generation, you're right. And it's actually, you know,
- 1:15:11people have this fear of nuclear, nuclear electricity
- 1:15:14generation, but it, but it's actually one of the safest forms
- 1:15:18of electricity generation. It's, it's just a huge
- 1:15:20misunderstanding. And if you look at the injuries
- 1:15:24and desks, you know, caused by say, I mean, I'm not going to
- 1:15:27try to pick on coal mining, but just any kind of mining
- 1:15:29operation. And this was the number of
- 1:15:33injuries and desks per year. You compare that to nuclear,
- 1:15:36Nuclear is actually way better. So it's, it's underrated as a,
- 1:15:40as an electricity source. And I think it's, it's something
- 1:15:42that's worth reconsidering, but there's so much regulation that
- 1:15:45people can't get it done so that, you know.
- 1:15:48Maybe they'll have to change the name.
- 1:15:50The name is just, it's a rough name.
- 1:15:51There are some areas like like when you see what happened.
- 1:15:54In good bad. Branding.
- 1:15:55We have to rebrand it. We'll have to give it a good
- 1:15:57name. We'll name it after you or
- 1:15:59something, you know? No, hey, it has a branding
- 1:16:03problem. You know when you see what
- 1:16:04happened. It does have a branding problem.
- 1:16:06When you see what happened in Japan where they say you won't
- 1:16:09be able to go in the land for about 3000 years, did you ever
- 1:16:12see that? And in Russia, where they had
- 1:16:14the problem, where they, you know, the a lot of bad things
- 1:16:17happened and they have a problem.
- 1:16:19And they say that in 2000 years people will start to occupy the
- 1:16:23land again. You know, you realize it's
- 1:16:25pretty bad, but but there's, you're right about it.
- 1:16:27It's amazing. It's actually not that bad.
- 1:16:30So like after Fukushima happened in Japan, like people were
- 1:16:33asking me in California, you know, are we worried about like
- 1:16:36a nuclear cloud coming from Japan?
- 1:16:37I'm like, no, that's crazy. It's actually, it's not even
- 1:16:40dangerous in Fukushima. I actually flew there and, and,
- 1:16:43and ate locally grown vegetables on TV to prove it.
- 1:16:46And I donated a solar water treatment.
- 1:16:50Yeah, a solar powered system for a water treatment plant and.
- 1:16:53Yeah, but you haven't been daily so well lately and I'm worried
- 1:16:56about it. No, no.
- 1:16:57But I mean, I'm only getting I'm.
- 1:16:58Fine, you know, it's, it's like, you know, Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- 1:17:03were bombed, but now they're, they're like full cities again.
- 1:17:06So it's really not something that, you know, so it's not,
- 1:17:11it's not as scary as people think, basically.
- 1:17:12But let's see. I mean, I mean, are there's some
- 1:17:15other topics we should touch on? Oh, you know, like a law fair.
- 1:17:19I think you know well we need to be concerned about.
- 1:17:21What they've done to this country.
- 1:17:23Obviously, yeah. Yeah, well, we just won the big
- 1:17:25case in Florida. This was a Biden administration
- 1:17:29did something that's never been done in this country.
- 1:17:32And let's go after their political opponent, me with this
- 1:17:35nonsense and just nonsense. And the big case in Florida, we
- 1:17:39won. But they've always they always
- 1:17:41pick a judge and a juror and they used local DA's.
- 1:17:44They use the local attorney general's like Fani, you know,
- 1:17:49Fani spelled FA and I Fani and it's all a big hoax and it's all
- 1:17:54run from there. Like in Manhattan, the one of
- 1:17:58the top people from the Justice Department went in, ran
- 1:18:00Manhattan, ran the state. The Letitia James Deal was run
- 1:18:04by a person from the Department of Justice Biden.
- 1:18:07They've never done this before. And they set up a very bad
- 1:18:11precedent. It's it's called lawfare
- 1:18:14warfare. It's, it's a terrible thing and
- 1:18:17never happened in our country. It does happen in banana
- 1:18:20republics and 3rd world countries, but it's never
- 1:18:23happened. And the incredible thing is it
- 1:18:25actually drove my numbers up because people see, you know,
- 1:18:28fortunately I have a platform like you or, you know, in all
- 1:18:32fairness, like a conversation like this where I can talk about
- 1:18:35it if people understand. I mean, you, you fight for
- 1:18:38election integrity and you end up getting indicted because
- 1:18:42you're fighting for election integrity.
- 1:18:44And when the day comes that you can't fight for election
- 1:18:46integrity, you don't have a country anymore.
- 1:18:48So what happens? What happens is they went after
- 1:18:51their political opponent, me. Now Biden's have, you know,
- 1:18:55close to vegetable stage, in my opinion.
- 1:18:57OK, I looked at him today on the beach and I said, why would
- 1:19:01anybody allow him? The guy could barely walk.
- 1:19:04Why would anybody allow him? He have a political adviser that
- 1:19:08thinks this looks good. You know, he thinks this looks
- 1:19:11good because it looks so bad. And it's, it's ridiculous.
- 1:19:15I mean, and he's been doing that for a long time.
- 1:19:18You know, he can't lift the chair.
- 1:19:19The chair weighs about 3 oz. It's meant for children and old
- 1:19:22people to lift, and he can't lift it.
- 1:19:25The whole thing is. Crazy.
- 1:19:27It's clearly not. I mean, it's clearly like we
- 1:19:28just don't have a president. You don't have a president and
- 1:19:31she's going to be worse than him because he is a San Francisco
- 1:19:35liberal who destroyed San Francisco and then as the
- 1:19:39attorney general, she destroyed California.
- 1:19:41You talk about location and we're talking about the sun and
- 1:19:44the water and all. There's nothing better than
- 1:19:47California. She has destroyed that.
- 1:19:49She was the original DA. She was the original in San
- 1:19:52Francisco. She was the original attorney
- 1:19:54general in California. What she has done to California
- 1:19:57is, well, you know better than I do.
- 1:19:59You just left California for a lot of those reasons.
- 1:20:03And what he's done with, with crime, with, with cashless bail.
- 1:20:08Will you kill somebody? I mean, we have states there you
- 1:20:11kill somebody and they let you out right away.
- 1:20:12I mean, you don't have to even put up.
- 1:20:14And then they never find the people unless they kill again.
- 1:20:16And then they let him out again. Our country is becoming a very
- 1:20:20dangerous place. And she is a radical left San
- 1:20:24Francisco liberal. And now she's trying to protect.
- 1:20:27Now she's looking like she's she wants to be more Trump than
- 1:20:31Trump, if that's possible. I don't think it's possible, but
- 1:20:34he wants to be more Trump than. Trump.
- 1:20:35Yeah. I want a wall.
- 1:20:37I want. You know, he wants to release
- 1:20:39all the prisoners that are in detention and some of these guys
- 1:20:42are really bad, right? That just came out today.
- 1:20:45She wants she doesn't want to build the wall, even though the
- 1:20:47walls work walls and wheels, you know, in your business,
- 1:20:50everything you do is obsolete almost or not the tunnels, but
- 1:20:53everything is obsolete. Even your rocket ships, they're
- 1:20:56like a month later, they're obsolete.
- 1:20:58You find a better way to the only thing that's not obsolete
- 1:21:01is a wall and a wheel and the wall.
- 1:21:04You know, I built hundreds of miles of wall and that's why we
- 1:21:07had such good numbers. I was going to add 200 miles.
- 1:21:11We bought it. We could have flipped it,
- 1:21:12flipped it up in three weeks and they sold it for $0.05 on the
- 1:21:16dollar. That meant I said, wow, that
- 1:21:19means that they actually do want to have open borders.
- 1:21:21She wants to have open borders and now she's going like she's
- 1:21:25tough on the on the border. It's such a lie.
- 1:21:28Yeah, this is simply not true. This is something.
- 1:21:29Not everybody knows it's not true.
- 1:21:31It's a disgrace that she yeah, saying.
- 1:21:33No, I mean, obviously what's happening sort of overnight is
- 1:21:37they're they're rewriting history and and making Kamala
- 1:21:41sound like a moderate when in fact she is far left, like far,
- 1:21:45far. Left worse than Bernie Sanders,
- 1:21:46she is considered more liberal by far than Bernie Sanders.
- 1:21:51She's a radical left lunatic. And if she's going to be our
- 1:21:54president, very quickly, you're not going to have a country
- 1:21:57anymore. And she'll go back to all of the
- 1:21:59things that she believes in. She believes in defunding the
- 1:22:02police. She believes no fracking 0 Now
- 1:22:06all of a sudden she's saying no, I, I will, I really want to see
- 1:22:10fracking the day the if they got in the day she got in, she'll
- 1:22:14end fracking. And by the way, if people didn't
- 1:22:17think that the lunatics that what that really believe in that
- 1:22:21they won't vote for her, you know, like like the Palestinians
- 1:22:25and Israel, She is so anti Israel and she's bad for both.
- 1:22:30Biden actually just something that was impossible.
- 1:22:33Both sides hate him. You know, both sides.
- 1:22:36That was a hard thing to do, unification.
- 1:22:38Yeah, no, no, I mean, I mean, the, you know, Netanyahu came to
- 1:22:42give a talk to a joint Senate and House sitting and I was
- 1:22:47there and, and, and Kamala stood him up.
- 1:22:50You know what does that say? I think.
- 1:22:52It's highly disrespectful. And I say if you're a Jewish
- 1:22:55person or if you believe in Israel, if you're a, a person
- 1:22:59that you know is a very pro Israel, if you vote for her,
- 1:23:03it's worse than Biden and Biden was bad.
- 1:23:06But if you vote for her, you ought to have your head
- 1:23:08examined. And you see tonight, I mean, as
- 1:23:10we're doing this, I'm seeing reports coming that they expect
- 1:23:13an attack tonight or tomorrow from hundreds and maybe
- 1:23:16thousands of rockets. You know, their Iron Dome, as
- 1:23:20they call it, as we all call it. But their shield that they
- 1:23:23built, that can be swamped. We'll use the term that's
- 1:23:27appropriate, swamped. But they swamp it by shooting
- 1:23:30enough missiles. You know this better than
- 1:23:32anybody, by shooting enough missiles, they can't defend
- 1:23:35themselves, you know, they just obliterate the whole place.
- 1:23:38And that's what some people think they're looking to do.
- 1:23:42And we have no leadership. There's no respect for the
- 1:23:45United States of America with these people.
- 1:23:47And I'm telling you, you'll be worse than him because he's a
- 1:23:50believer in being radical left and he wasn't.
- 1:23:53I, I think you're right. I mean, you really, it's
- 1:23:55important for the poor, the public that may be listening to
- 1:23:58this to say to look at Kamala's track record, you know, before
- 1:24:02the last like month and say, is that a track record you agree
- 1:24:06with? And I think if you're an
- 1:24:08independent moderate, you definitely would not agree with
- 1:24:11it because it is her behavior has been far left.
- 1:24:15And we're seeing just an overnight propaganda attempt to
- 1:24:17rewrite history and make it sound like Kamala is moderate
- 1:24:20when she in fact is not moderate.
- 1:24:22Well, her, her running mate approved, signed into
- 1:24:26legislation tampons in boys bathrooms.
- 1:24:29OK, now that's all I have to hear.
- 1:24:32Tampons in boys bathrooms. And that means she believes in
- 1:24:35that too. I mean, he, he picked this guy
- 1:24:39because he was the closest to her.
- 1:24:41A lot of people thought she'd pick sort of the opposite, but
- 1:24:44she picked an anti Israel radical left person.
- 1:24:48But she is far worse, they say, than Bernie Sanders.
- 1:24:51If we have her as a president, if we have a demo at this
- 1:24:55moment, does the president? I don't think our country can
- 1:24:58survive. I think it's, I think it's a
- 1:25:00massive, I think, I think we're in massive trouble, frankly,
- 1:25:04with, with a Kamala administration.
- 1:25:06And that's my honest opinion. And, and I think I think really
- 1:25:11it's essential that that you win for the good of the country for
- 1:25:15this election. And I mean, that's understating
- 1:25:17my opinion. Now, you know, you may have seen
- 1:25:22this, but I got a letter from the, the, the EU Commission like
- 1:25:26saying, you know, to not have disinformation on the like
- 1:25:31during this discussion that we're having.
- 1:25:32Like, and you know, there's like there's, there's a lot of
- 1:25:35attempts to do censorship and to force censorship even on
- 1:25:39Americans from other countries. And you know, what do you think
- 1:25:43about that? Well, I know the European Union
- 1:25:46very well. They take great advantage of the
- 1:25:49United States in trade, as you know, we through a different
- 1:25:53form, NATO, we protect them. And yet if you build a car in
- 1:25:59the United States, you can't sell it in Europe.
- 1:26:01You just can't sell it. It's, it's impossible.
- 1:26:03The same thing with our farmers. Our farmers find it very
- 1:26:06difficult to do business. You know, we have a deficit with
- 1:26:09them of $250 billion, which people don't know.
- 1:26:12It sounds so nice, the European Union, but let me tell you,
- 1:26:15they're they're not as tough as China, but they're bad.
- 1:26:19And I let them know it and that's probably why they
- 1:26:22notified you. No, they don't treat our country
- 1:26:24well. We defend them, you know, with
- 1:26:28Ukraine. So we're in for 250 billion and
- 1:26:31they're in for about 71 billion and they have the same size.
- 1:26:34This if you add up the European nations that you know for terms
- 1:26:38of an economy, it's about the same size when you say as us and
- 1:26:41they're in and and they're in much greater risk.
- 1:26:45They they're right there. We have an ocean separating us
- 1:26:49from, in this case, the enemy would be Russia, used to be for
- 1:26:52the Soviet Union. But let's assume they're close
- 1:26:55enough. And what happens is they're in
- 1:26:58for 70 something million, I think, I think even less than
- 1:27:02that billion. And we're in for about 250
- 1:27:06billion. And it could be a lot higher
- 1:27:08than that. And I say, why aren't you going
- 1:27:10to equalize? Why aren't they paying what
- 1:27:12we're paying? And they're in much more, you
- 1:27:14know, they're, it's much more important for them because of
- 1:27:17the fact that, you know, they're right near there.
- 1:27:19I mean, they're all sort of in that location.
- 1:27:21We're not, but they should. They should.
- 1:27:23And I did it with NATO. We were, there were only seven
- 1:27:27countries that were paid up in NATO out of 28 at the time.
- 1:27:31And the United States was subsidizing, the United States
- 1:27:34was subsidizing NATO, tremendously subsidizing NATO.
- 1:27:38And I said, I went in and I said you got to pay up.
- 1:27:41If you don't pay up, I'm not going to defend you any longer.
- 1:27:43I took a lot of heat. But you know what happened?
- 1:27:45Billions and billions of dollars came flowing in and.
- 1:27:49Yeah, I think, I think a lot of the public isn't, isn't aware of
- 1:27:52the fact that the United States pays a disproportionate share of
- 1:27:55of the NATO expenses. And then we get taken advantage
- 1:27:58of on trade. So think about.
- 1:28:00Well, I mean, the point of NATO is defending Europe and it's,
- 1:28:03you know, it's like then, OK, well, why is the United States
- 1:28:07paying disproportionately more to defend Europe than Europe?
- 1:28:11That doesn't make sense, that's unfair, and that that is an
- 1:28:14appropriate thing to address. Well, you know, when you talk
- 1:28:17about cost cutting and savings and everything else, I mean,
- 1:28:20honestly, look, there's nobody that feels worse about the
- 1:28:23Ukraine situation than I do because I know it would have
- 1:28:26never happened. I know Zelensky, he was very
- 1:28:29honorable to me because when they went with the Russia hoax
- 1:28:32and they said I had a phone call with him, he said it was a
- 1:28:34perfect phone call. It was a great phone call.
- 1:28:36He could have grandstanded and, you know, said, oh, he, he was
- 1:28:39very threatening. He said no, it's a very nice
- 1:28:41phone call. I call them up to congratulate
- 1:28:44him on his win. And you end up getting impeached
- 1:28:47because these people are lunatics.
- 1:28:49You know, I was talking about the difference from the people
- 1:28:51within and the enemies on the outside.
- 1:28:53In many cases, the people from within are more dangerous for
- 1:28:57our country than the Russians, than the Chinas.
- 1:29:00If you have a smart president, you're not going to have a
- 1:29:02problem with them. You're going to make, you're
- 1:29:04going to do things. Yeah, now they've taken
- 1:29:06advantage of incredibly, but you're going to do things with
- 1:29:08the right person. Yeah.
- 1:29:10Well, I, I think, I think it's obvious that you're, you're,
- 1:29:12you're a believer in an advocate of, of free speech because
- 1:29:15during your first time as president, you were attacked
- 1:29:18relentlessly every day, often very unfairly with false, you
- 1:29:21know, with false attacks. And, and you didn't try to shut
- 1:29:25down the media. You didn't try to inhibit their
- 1:29:28freedom of speech. And I think that's his lot.
- 1:29:31Well, the good thing is that you and I have and some people, very
- 1:29:34few, we can get the word out. Although sometimes it's hard
- 1:29:39because they don't want to print it.
- 1:29:40You know, like, like we're having a great conversation
- 1:29:43right now. Kamala wouldn't have this
- 1:29:45conversation. She can't because she's not.
- 1:29:47Smart. You know, she's not a smart
- 1:29:48person by the way. She can't have this
- 1:29:50conversation. And Biden, we don't even have to
- 1:29:53talk about it. I mean, he couldn't have this
- 1:29:55conversation. He he would have given up on the
- 1:29:57first half of a question. He would have walked out.
- 1:29:59He would have said where am I? Where am I going?
- 1:30:02So anyway, but no, he wouldn't have this.
- 1:30:04That's true. Not a lot of people would have
- 1:30:06this conversation. But you know, we cover a lot of
- 1:30:08territory. But the beauty is that you, you
- 1:30:11know, we can have a conversation and yes, I'm able to get it out
- 1:30:14without because I get to. Be this is a really big point,
- 1:30:17you can actually have a conversation with you.
- 1:30:20Yeah, it's nice. Isn't it?
- 1:30:21And you can't have a conversation with Biden or
- 1:30:23Kamala. It's like not it's not possible.
- 1:30:25Yeah. So this is like talking to an
- 1:30:28MPC. So it's just.
- 1:30:29Impossible, but think of it, we need a man or person who's
- 1:30:33unbelievably sharp in order to stop all the nuclear danger and
- 1:30:38all the dangers that I'm talking about.
- 1:30:40And I got along with all these, you know I got along with Kim
- 1:30:42Jong Un. We had dinner we had everything
- 1:30:45and he he really liked me and I got along with him really well.
- 1:30:48By the way, he's he's the absolute boss over there.
- 1:30:51You know a lot of people said, oh, do you think he really let
- 1:30:53me tell you, I saw things that you don't want to know about.
- 1:30:57He is the boss, but we had a good relationship and and he
- 1:31:01doesn't like Biden. He considers him as a stupid
- 1:31:04man. He said he's a stupid man.
- 1:31:06Well, at least he speaks his mind.
- 1:31:08But you know, in this country, you're not sort of allowed to
- 1:31:10say it, but I guess you are. You should be allowed to say
- 1:31:12that's true. But we need really, we need
- 1:31:15smart people and we need people that have an ability to lead.
- 1:31:19And she doesn't have that ability.
- 1:31:21Can you imagine that, you know, Chairman XI very well.
- 1:31:24Can you imagine her and him negotiating or even standing
- 1:31:28together? It is the whole concept is she
- 1:31:31is terrible. She's terrible, but he's getting
- 1:31:33a free ride. I saw a picture of her on Time
- 1:31:36magazine today. She looks like the most
- 1:31:38beautiful actress ever to live. I it was the drawing and
- 1:31:42actually she looked very much like a great first lady Melania.
- 1:31:47She didn't look, she didn't look like Camilla.
- 1:31:50That's right. But of course, she's a beautiful
- 1:31:51woman. So we'll leave it at that,
- 1:31:53right? Yeah.
- 1:31:54Well, you know, maybe it's like, I think part of what, you know,
- 1:31:57people in America wanted, you know, people in America want to
- 1:31:59want to feel excited and inspired about the future.
- 1:32:02We want to feel like the future is going to be better than the
- 1:32:04past and that this that America is going to do things that are
- 1:32:06greater than we've done in the past, reach new heights that
- 1:32:10make you proud to be an American and and excited about the
- 1:32:14future. They want the American Dream.
- 1:32:17Back, you know, they want the American dream back more
- 1:32:20important than anything else. It's it's like you don't have
- 1:32:23that today because the people they've been just sucked.
- 1:32:26They see incompetent people running our you know, the the
- 1:32:29Biden thing is very people just found him to be incompetent.
- 1:32:33And when I debated him, I was like, is this for real?
- 1:32:37It was. Yeah, It was just absurd.
- 1:32:40But, you know, I think that there are like, you know, some,
- 1:32:43some, you know, grand projects that that that we could do.
- 1:32:46I mean, I think like, you know, we could, we could build a base
- 1:32:49on the moon. We could send American
- 1:32:50nationalists to Mars. We could both high speed
- 1:32:54connections that are, you know, more advanced than anything else
- 1:32:57in the world between our cities. So people have fast transport.
- 1:33:01You know, it's possible to solve traffic with tunnels.
- 1:33:05We've we've, you know, we already made great progress in
- 1:33:08Vegas doing that and, you know, and, and, and just do things
- 1:33:12that are exciting and inspiring to make the future feel like
- 1:33:14it's better than the. Past Well, I saw what you did in
- 1:33:16Vegas and I'll tell you, it was amazing.
- 1:33:18I I got to see, I took a big glimpse at it and it's
- 1:33:21incredible. What you, you know, it's
- 1:33:22incredible. And you could do that all over.
- 1:33:24You could do that all over. It's it's deep.
- 1:33:27Yeah. You don't even need much
- 1:33:28structure, you know, assuming you're in the right area.
- 1:33:30No, it's, it's straightforward. It's amazing.
- 1:33:33So and and like, I think we could do some, some things that
- 1:33:36like like China's got incredible high speed rail between its
- 1:33:40cities, but I think it's actually possible with with with
- 1:33:43tunnels. If, if, if it was deregulation
- 1:33:45with with an ability to actually where it's like legal to, to
- 1:33:49actually do the tunnels, then you could have high speed
- 1:33:53tunnels that are actually better than than anything else in the
- 1:33:56world for high speed transport between cities.
- 1:33:59And that would be something that, you know, Americans can
- 1:34:02say, wow, OK, we've, we've got something that's cooler than
- 1:34:05anyone else in the world. That's that's the kind of thing
- 1:34:07that makes you proud to be. Much safer than surface trains
- 1:34:11where there is a danger there, you know, with people, with
- 1:34:13crazy people. It's much safer, much better.
- 1:34:16And you know, it's sad because I've seen some of the greatest
- 1:34:19trains. I find it fascinating.
- 1:34:21And I've seen the systems and how they work and the bullet
- 1:34:24trains they call them, I guess. And they go unbelievably fast,
- 1:34:28unbelievably comfortable with no problems.
- 1:34:31And we don't have anything like that in this country, not even
- 1:34:34plus. And it doesn't make sense that
- 1:34:36we don't. Doesn't make sense.
- 1:34:38Yeah. And I, I think also like the,
- 1:34:40because, you know, I just kind of hopping on the excess
- 1:34:43regulation. But I think something that, that
- 1:34:46I think people can generally understand is that what happens
- 1:34:49with laws and regulations is that they just, there's more and
- 1:34:51more of them every year. And unless there's a process to
- 1:34:54clean them up, eventually everything becomes illegal.
- 1:34:56And, and that actually slow, it slows down the development of
- 1:34:59new technologies. I mean, if you take the sort of
- 1:35:01like, I think we this, this, there's room for some reform at
- 1:35:04the, at the FDA for improving the speed with which we, you
- 1:35:09know, approve drugs that that could help save lives and
- 1:35:13improve people's lives. And I.
- 1:35:15Worked very hard on that. You know, we got that down to,
- 1:35:17to the lowest number ever and we got therapeutics approved in the
- 1:35:22FDA that people can't even believe the speed.
- 1:35:25But I, I took them on I, I don't think they like me too much, but
- 1:35:29I got things approved and the FDA at, at, at numbers that they
- 1:35:33wouldn't believe. And you know, it's a very
- 1:35:35bureaucratic group. Actually, it's a fine group of
- 1:35:38people in many cases. I got to know a lot of them, but
- 1:35:41I was pushing them really hard for Regeneron for so many
- 1:35:44different things that that were really pretty amazing.
- 1:35:47But but the FDA takes too long. They would it's 12 years to get
- 1:35:51a product approved. I got it down to four and I got
- 1:35:54some things done very quickly. But it's it's really something
- 1:35:58that is going to have to be worked on because it takes too
- 1:36:01long, just takes too long. Yeah, it just takes too long and
- 1:36:05it's, you end up in the same with, with the approval, but it
- 1:36:08just, it's just, you know, it takes years instead of something
- 1:36:11that that I think could potentially take months and that
- 1:36:13improves people's lives. I think, you know, and, and,
- 1:36:16but, but I just wanted to hop on this point that like there has
- 1:36:20to be an active process for reducing rules and regulations
- 1:36:25because otherwise they just keep building up every year and you
- 1:36:28get like hardening of the arteries and eventually
- 1:36:30everything's illegal or takes forever.
- 1:36:33And, and then, and then we, we just, we just ossify as a
- 1:36:38society. We just, we can't make any
- 1:36:41progress. And and that's it's a really
- 1:36:43big. Deal, Elon, just getting back to
- 1:36:45the FDA for one second. I got something done called
- 1:36:47right to try. This is where you can go in and
- 1:36:50if you're terminally ill, you can use a space age, you know,
- 1:36:54medicine or whatever it may be. We have the best doctors, the
- 1:36:57best labs in the world. We really do.
- 1:36:59And but people would go to other countries because you couldn't
- 1:37:03use this, the product, even if they thought it worked, because
- 1:37:06it's going through the FDAI got it approved where you can.
- 1:37:09Yeah, you, you basically you. Look, nobody want the doctors
- 1:37:12didn't want it because of the liability.
- 1:37:13The country didn't want it, Our country because they didn't want
- 1:37:16to get to these are people terminally ill.
- 1:37:18The insurance companies didn't want it, and the pharmaceutical
- 1:37:21covers nobody wanted it. I got everybody into a room and
- 1:37:24we came up with an agreement that you won't get sued.
- 1:37:27And also they didn't want it on their record.
- 1:37:29If somebody's terminally ill and they die after taking a drug,
- 1:37:32they didn't want that on their record.
- 1:37:33So we set a second, a separate list if somebody was so it
- 1:37:37wouldn't count as the negative. OK.
- 1:37:39And as you know, we got it done. We have saved, right to try.
- 1:37:42They've been trying to get this done for 58 years.
- 1:37:46And it sounds simple, but it wasn't because of, you know, I
- 1:37:48mean, you know, the insurance companies, nobody wanted it, but
- 1:37:51we got it done. Somebody signs you sign a
- 1:37:54document that you're not going to sue the insurance companies,
- 1:37:57the country, you're not going to sue anybody.
- 1:37:59And we got it done and we're saving 10s of thousands of
- 1:38:03lives, right, to try Hopefully you never need it.
- 1:38:05But if you do, you don't have to travel to Asia.
- 1:38:08You know, people, if they had money, they go to Asia, they go
- 1:38:11to Europe. If they don't have money, they
- 1:38:12go home and die. That's what happened.
- 1:38:14They'd go home and. Die Well, I mean, and actually
- 1:38:17to give you some some props here, it's like if a drug is
- 1:38:20improved, it approved in the in the in Europe, which has a crazy
- 1:38:24amount of regulations, it should obviously be approved in the USI
- 1:38:27mean they get more regulations than we do.
- 1:38:29So what why would a drug be approved in Europe and not in
- 1:38:32the US? That that's crazy.
- 1:38:33Well, we did it. We did something that really
- 1:38:35they've been trying to do it for 50 years.
- 1:38:37Then they just couldn't get it done.
- 1:38:38And I got it done and it's it's really something.
- 1:38:41But you're right, some people go to Europe because a drug isn't
- 1:38:44approved here, but it's approved in Europe and it's a drug that
- 1:38:47generally speaking would work. It's pretty crazy, Absolutely.
- 1:38:50Right. And I think so, as long as
- 1:38:52people are properly informed of the pros and cons and like these
- 1:38:55are the risks, this, you know, this is the risk and like you
- 1:38:58make your own decision that that makes sense.
- 1:39:01Well, I think just, you know, in sort of closing up and by the
- 1:39:04way, I'm looking at the numbers, you get a lot of people
- 1:39:06listening. I hope you don't get nervous
- 1:39:09because you got a lot of people listening to you right now.
- 1:39:11Like 60 million or something. What is that number?
- 1:39:14That's crazy. It's amazing how you can see
- 1:39:17that right away. How many?
- 1:39:18What is the number? Wow, what is it?
- 1:39:21Well, I think. That's a big, that's bigger than
- 1:39:24you said you, you said 25 and you're more than much more than
- 1:39:28double that #25,000,000. I think you're going to be 60 or
- 1:39:3170. And I guess over a period of
- 1:39:32time. Hey, that's, I congratulate you.
- 1:39:35Do I get paid for this or not? Well, I think actually in terms
- 1:39:42of a number of people that will hear this conversation over the
- 1:39:45next few days, two weeks, it's going to be hundreds.
- 1:39:50That's what they say. Yeah, that's good.
- 1:39:51Well, look, it's an honor, but I just asked this, are you better
- 1:39:55off now or well, you're better off when I was president?
- 1:39:58Nobody's better off now. People, you know, we put out
- 1:40:01polls on that and nobody's better off now.
- 1:40:04Inflation has killed it. And you know, they also feel
- 1:40:06very unsafe. You look at what's going on with
- 1:40:09a lot of different things. You look at the riots we had in
- 1:40:11the colleges over. I mean, it's ridiculous, but
- 1:40:14right, All of the rights, they just feel unsafe.
- 1:40:16And now they really feel unsafe because you have a new form of
- 1:40:19crime. It's called migrant crime.
- 1:40:21I call it Biden migrant guy. Maybe I'll call it Kamala
- 1:40:24migrant crime. But.
- 1:40:26You know, I mean, all these things I always try to like, try
- 1:40:28to get to the ground truth by just asking people.
- 1:40:31And, you know, my mom lives in New York and I was like, you
- 1:40:34know, mom, you know, do you know, have any of your friends,
- 1:40:37you know, been attacked or assaulted?
- 1:40:39And she said, yeah, three of her friends in three separate
- 1:40:41incidents were assaulted just just just in recent months, just
- 1:40:45walking around the streets in New York.
- 1:40:46And I and I, and I said, well, did what, what happened to the
- 1:40:50people that assaulted them? Oh, nothing.
- 1:40:51They they, they got away like and and they, they're just they.
- 1:40:55Always get away. And they don't ever, and they
- 1:40:57don't even bother reporting it because there's not, they know
- 1:41:00that there's not, they're not going to, you know, people are
- 1:41:03not going to get prosecuted. They just, they just let you
- 1:41:06know, violent criminals out in New York.
- 1:41:08The only one that gets prosecuted is Donald Trump.
- 1:41:11They don't. They prosecute Trump.
- 1:41:13Yeah, I mean, it's, it's just obviously messed.
- 1:41:15Up. It's terrible.
- 1:41:16If filing criminals are being I've been getting off Scott free
- 1:41:20and, and, and meanwhile that the, the, you know, New York
- 1:41:23spending massive resources prosecuting you.
- 1:41:25And it's like, what's this? You know, and, and I think the,
- 1:41:29the, the sort of sensible public said, looks at this and said,
- 1:41:33what the heck's going on here? This is obviously abuse the
- 1:41:35legal system. You know, the, the legal system
- 1:41:38is supposed to be protecting the public from violent criminals
- 1:41:42and it, it should be obviously allowing the public to make
- 1:41:45their own decision about who should be president as opposed
- 1:41:48to, you know, some, you know, legal case.
- 1:41:52Once they start this precedent, because this can go on with the
- 1:41:55next one. I mean, this is a very bad
- 1:41:57precedent what they're doing in terms of, you know, going after
- 1:42:00their political opponent. And that's all it is.
- 1:42:02It's going after their political opponent.
- 1:42:04And then you get a judge who's, you know, was a strong Democrat.
- 1:42:08And I'm being nice when I say that in many cases, crooked as
- 1:42:10hell. But you get a judge and you go
- 1:42:12into an area where a Republican gets 3 or 4% of the vote and you
- 1:42:17know you'll have a jury pool with people that hate
- 1:42:21Republicans or hate it could also be the other way, though,
- 1:42:24because it could start the other way in areas where they hate
- 1:42:27Democrats. And you get into a Pandora's box
- 1:42:29is a very dangerous thing for this country and a very
- 1:42:33dangerous thing even for the state.
- 1:42:35New York City is losing. New York City and state lose a
- 1:42:38lot of business over what they did to me because these people
- 1:42:41say we don't want that to happen to us.
- 1:42:43There's no justice system. You have an unfair system of
- 1:42:46justice. And it's costing New York State
- 1:42:48a tremendous amount of money. People are leaving and companies
- 1:42:52are leaving, and they won't come back.
- 1:42:54So, you know, all of that stuff is important.
- 1:42:55But the economy now is the big thing.
- 1:42:58And we can turn that economy up so fast, and people are going to
- 1:43:01be back again. We're going to get rid of this.
- 1:43:03I think there's a lot, a lot of opportunity, absolutely so.
- 1:43:07And I just want to, I want to congratulate you.
- 1:43:09You've done an amazing you are. You have definitely got a
- 1:43:12fertile mind. You know, we can talk.
- 1:43:14You and I can talk about rockets.
- 1:43:16It's kind of you to say. Thank you.
- 1:43:17Tunnels. We can talk about tunnels and
- 1:43:19rockets and and electric cars, so many things.
- 1:43:23And now you're you're into the AI and that's going to be
- 1:43:25another beauty, I'll say. So it's yeah, it's an amazing,
- 1:43:29it's an amazing thing you've done, Elon.
- 1:43:31It's an amazing thing. And I congratulate you.
- 1:43:34I mean, thank you. And well, I mean, I just to say
- 1:43:36here, you know, here's to an exciting, inspiring future that
- 1:43:39people can look forward to and be optimistic and excited about
- 1:43:42what happens next. And that's the kind of future
- 1:43:44that I think you will bring as president, and that's why I
- 1:43:47endorse. You well, I appreciate that.
- 1:43:49That endorsement meant a lot to me.
- 1:43:51Not all endorsements mean that much, to be honest.
- 1:43:53Your endorsement meant a lot. And you know, we have a phrase
- 1:43:56make America great again. It's pretty simple, but it
- 1:43:58really says that we want to make America great and we can do it.
- 1:44:01We can do it now, but if we were going to suffer for another four
- 1:44:05years like we've suffered for the last four years, I'm not
- 1:44:08sure the country can ever come back.
- 1:44:10That's how bad it is. It's so bad.
- 1:44:12We have to, we have to do a lot of I.
- 1:44:13Think that's a very real? Risk.
- 1:44:14It's a. Big risk.
- 1:44:15It's a very real risk. And, and you know, I just like
- 1:44:18to, to note to people listening like I've not been very
- 1:44:21political before. And, and I've just, if you look
- 1:44:23at my track, my record, it's, I've actually been, I'm, I'm,
- 1:44:26I'm not like, since I try to paint me as like a far right
- 1:44:29guy, which is absurd because I'm like making electric vehicles
- 1:44:31and, you know, solar and batteries, helping them with the
- 1:44:34environment. And, and, and I actually, I, I,
- 1:44:38you know, I, I supported Obama. I stood in line for six hours to
- 1:44:41shake Obama's hand when, when he was running for president.
- 1:44:44And, you know, so it's not like I'm like some sort of died in
- 1:44:47the wool long term Republican. I'm actually, I call myself, you
- 1:44:51know, historically a moderate Democrat.
- 1:44:53And but now I feel like we're really at, at a critical
- 1:44:57juncture for the country. And, you know, I, I think a lot
- 1:45:02of people thought, you know, that Biden administration would
- 1:45:04be a moderate administration, but it's not.
- 1:45:06And, and obviously that we were just going to see an even
- 1:45:12further left administration with, with Kamala.
- 1:45:16That's, that's my honest opinion.
- 1:45:18I mean, her dad is literally, I mean, she was brought up as a,
- 1:45:21as an actual, her dad is a, is a Marxist economist.
- 1:45:24That's, you can Google it. I mean, it's not a, we're not
- 1:45:27making this up. You know, that's how she was
- 1:45:30brought up. So and, and we, we, we just, we
- 1:45:33want to have a future that is prosperous.
- 1:45:35And, and I think we're just at this critical juncture.
- 1:45:38And, and I think this is a case of the America is, is kind of at
- 1:45:46a fork in the road. And, and I think it will take,
- 1:45:49it will take if the path like you are the path to prosperity.
- 1:45:53And I think Kamala is the opposite, then that's my, I
- 1:45:56mean, that's my honest opinion. I'm going to, I'm going to get
- 1:45:58attacked like crazy. And you know, I've also
- 1:45:59experienced quite a bit of low fear myself.
- 1:46:02And, but I'm just trying to tell people my honest opinion.
- 1:46:06And, and I haven't been active in really active in politics
- 1:46:08before. And I'm just trying to point out
- 1:46:11that my track record historically has been moderate,
- 1:46:13if not moderate, slightly left. And, and so this is to people
- 1:46:17out there who are in the moderate camp to say, I think
- 1:46:20you should support Donald Trump for president.
- 1:46:24And I think it's actually a very important junction in the road.
- 1:46:26And and we're deep travel if it if, if it goes the other way.
- 1:46:30Well, I want to thank you. And you know, I actually always
- 1:46:32did think of you as somewhat left, I must say that.
- 1:46:35So it's, it's even more of an honor to have your endorsement.
- 1:46:39I know how strong you feel about it.
- 1:46:41But you know, when you think of her, San Francisco, 15 years
- 1:46:44ago, I had a great friend, Bob Tisch, she said it's the
- 1:46:46greatest city in America. And now it's it's not, it's
- 1:46:50almost not livable there. And California likewise.
- 1:46:53And she was involved in the destruction of San Francisco and
- 1:46:56the destruction of California. And she will be involved in the
- 1:47:00destruction of our country if people are so unwise as to elect
- 1:47:06her. And I hope that doesn't happen.
- 1:47:08And I hope the elections are going to be run honestly.
- 1:47:10And we're going to turn this country around.
- 1:47:13We're going to we're going to do things that and we can do it
- 1:47:15fairly quickly. And we have to get rid of the
- 1:47:18criminals that have been, you know, given to us by other
- 1:47:20countries as they laugh, they laugh at us.
- 1:47:22They think we're stupid to accept these people.
- 1:47:25These are radical stone cold killers in many case cases, and
- 1:47:29terrorists. And they're in our country by
- 1:47:31the hundreds of thousands. Yeah.
- 1:47:34And we have to take them out. Yeah.
- 1:47:36I mean, if I could summarize it, perhaps, you know, I think these
- 1:47:39are issues that I think most people in America would agree
- 1:47:43with, which is that we want safe and clean cities.
- 1:47:46We want secure borders. We want sensible government
- 1:47:49spending. We want to restore both the
- 1:47:53perception and reality of respect in the in the judicial
- 1:47:56system. Just, you know, stop the low
- 1:47:58fare. And I think that's like, and how
- 1:48:04are those even right wing positions?
- 1:48:05I think those are just that's just common sense.
- 1:48:08And that's, I mean, would you agree with that?
- 1:48:11100% I don't understand, you know, the whole, they call it
- 1:48:15progressive, they don't like the word liberal anymore, but call
- 1:48:18it liberal or progressive. I don't understand how somebody
- 1:48:21could say that it's OK for them to empty prisons into our
- 1:48:24country. And again, I told you that crime
- 1:48:26rates all over the world are going way down, which makes
- 1:48:29sense. In fact, the next time, what
- 1:48:30we'll do is if something happens with this election, which would
- 1:48:33be a horror show, we'll meet the next time in Venezuela because
- 1:48:37it'll be a far safer place to meet than our country.
- 1:48:40OK, so we'll go. You and I will go and we'll have
- 1:48:42a meeting and dinner in Venezuela because that's what's
- 1:48:45happening. Their crime rates coming down
- 1:48:47and our crime rates going through the roof.
- 1:48:49And it's so simple and it's, you haven't seen anything yet
- 1:48:52because these people have come into our country and they're
- 1:48:54just getting acclimated and they don't know about being
- 1:48:57politically correct law enforcement or lack of law
- 1:49:01enforcement. And our police.
- 1:49:03I, I have to just end with this. We have great police, we have
- 1:49:06great law enforcement, but they're not allowed to do their
- 1:49:08job. They have to be able to do their
- 1:49:09job without being destroyed. Well, absolutely.
- 1:49:13And it's obviously demoralizing if you're a police officer
- 1:49:15risking your life to, you know, to, you know, to arrest violent
- 1:49:20criminals who could kill you and do kill you sometimes.
- 1:49:23And then you arrest the violent criminal and then the the DA,
- 1:49:27you know, doesn't prosecute and and that's left the guy out
- 1:49:30willing. Like why?
- 1:49:31Why should a police officer risk their life to arrest a violent
- 1:49:36felon? Well, even worse.
- 1:49:37If there's nothing's going to happen.
- 1:49:39Even worse, they prosecute the police officer.
- 1:49:42They they go after it and they prosecute the police officer and
- 1:49:45they take away his pension, they take away his job.
- 1:49:48He loses his family, he loses his house.
- 1:49:51Well. I, I, I thought it was very
- 1:49:53telling, like incredibly telling that, you know, when that there
- 1:49:56was a case where, you know, sort of a gang of thugs beat up
- 1:50:01police officers. I think it was in Times Square
- 1:50:03in New York and, and, and then nothing happened to those guys.
- 1:50:07They were, they were let out zero bail and I think lunch and
- 1:50:10were given free tickets to California.
- 1:50:12Well, what is the I mean that that is that is there's a gross
- 1:50:16indignity against the United States and and that's how I
- 1:50:19mean, this is insane. Like, have we lost all pride?
- 1:50:22What that? How can such a thing be allowed
- 1:50:25to? Occur.
- 1:50:25I've never seen anything. You know, we see where they get
- 1:50:28shot. It's a very dangerous
- 1:50:30profession, but something they're very proud of and they
- 1:50:32want to be able to do their job. But I've seen them get shot.
- 1:50:35I've seen a lot of things, but I've never seen where these guys
- 1:50:38are standing in the middle of a big St., everybody watching
- 1:50:40them, and they're literally boxing, like punching stand up,
- 1:50:44fighting a police officer. There were two of them, and yet
- 1:50:47about six of these guys and they're punching the hell out of
- 1:50:50them. And in their own country, they
- 1:50:52would be dead if they did that. They'd be shot.
- 1:50:55Yeah, they would be shot instantly.
- 1:50:57And, you know, they come from these countries and it's taking
- 1:50:59them a while to realize that we don't do that in this country.
- 1:51:02But in their own country, if they stood on a street and had a
- 1:51:05fight with a police officer, they would be shot.
- 1:51:08There's no political correctness.
- 1:51:10And it's such a sad. Yes, it's such a sad thing to
- 1:51:13see. And that's the reason we have,
- 1:51:15by the way, because we don't do anything about it.
- 1:51:17Yeah, We just cannot have a situation where our police
- 1:51:20officers beaten up on camera by, you know, a gang of illegal
- 1:51:25immigrants and then nothing happens to the guys that beat up
- 1:51:28the cops. I mean, and they're let out.
- 1:51:30This is unexpected. We're going to change it and
- 1:51:32we're going to get them out of the country.
- 1:51:34You know, when I first got involved, they said you couldn't
- 1:51:37get them back to these countries.
- 1:51:38You couldn't take them back In the case of Guatemala, Honduras,
- 1:51:42El Salvador, some others, you couldn't get them back.
- 1:51:45And I said, really? Oh, you can't get it back
- 1:51:47because under Obama, he couldn't get them back.
- 1:51:49They'd put up, they'd fly them in and they put planes on the
- 1:51:52runways in these countries so you couldn't land the plane.
- 1:51:54They'd bring them back. And the general told me, the
- 1:51:56generals told me, you sure we can't bring them back.
- 1:51:58The countries won't accept MS13 gang members.
- 1:52:01They won't accept them. And I said, really, how much do
- 1:52:04we pay these various countries in terms of economic aid, which
- 1:52:07is also somewhat ridiculous. And the answer, it was $750
- 1:52:11million. I said, good, tell them they're
- 1:52:14in default, they're delinquent. We're not going to do, we're not
- 1:52:16paying them anymore because they won't accept it.
- 1:52:19And you know what happened? They all called me, every one of
- 1:52:21them. They said we would be honored to
- 1:52:23take them back, Sir, we would be honored.
- 1:52:26It was so easy, but it's one of those things, and we got it
- 1:52:28back. We took in so many.
- 1:52:29You know, the MS13 is probably the worst gangs in the world.
- 1:52:33They're the most vicious violence.
- 1:52:35We took them out of here by the thousands and got them out of
- 1:52:38here and their countries took them back.
- 1:52:40And because I said you're not getting anymore economic aid.
- 1:52:44And once I said that they were nice, they wouldn't take them
- 1:52:47back for Obama. They wouldn't take them back for
- 1:52:49anybody. And now we have a problem
- 1:52:51because we have this guy and they again, they don't take them
- 1:52:54back anymore with the Biden because they don't respect him.
- 1:52:57Yeah, yeah. It's so it's just, it's just
- 1:52:59gotta, it's gotta be done. We, we just can't, can't have,
- 1:53:02uh, whether they're citizens or not citizens, we can't have
- 1:53:06because they weren't prosecute citizens either.
- 1:53:08Not, not just, not just illegals.
- 1:53:10So if it's, you can't have violent, repeat violent
- 1:53:15offenders that are not that, that, that don't get
- 1:53:19incarcerated because they will, they will obviously by
- 1:53:23definition continue to, to, to, you know, hurt people.
- 1:53:29And, and, and I, I think where part of this comes from is that
- 1:53:31there's, and I, you know, I do sort of concern myself liberal
- 1:53:34in some ways. I mean, it's just that you want
- 1:53:37to have empathy for people. Obviously you want to have
- 1:53:39empathy for people. I totally agree with that.
- 1:53:41You want to have empathy, but you also have to have empathy
- 1:53:44for the victims of the criminals.
- 1:53:46And if you, if you just have empathy for the criminals, it's,
- 1:53:48it's actually shallow empathy. It's not real.
- 1:53:51You're not thinking, you're not, you have one layer deep empathy.
- 1:53:55You got to say, like, what if you don't incarcerate this
- 1:53:58person? Who are they going to hurt?
- 1:54:02Who are they? They might kill someone.
- 1:54:03They might rape someone if you don't incarcerate them.
- 1:54:06You have to have empathy for the victims.
- 1:54:09And there's a lack of empathy for the victims of the criminals
- 1:54:12and too much empathy for the criminals.
- 1:54:14It doesn't make sense. That's why you want to have deep
- 1:54:17empathy for society as a whole, not shallow empathy for
- 1:54:21criminals. And we have to give our police
- 1:54:23officers the dignity and the respect that they deserve.
- 1:54:27And we have to let them do their job.
- 1:54:29They can do a great job, but we have to let them do their job.
- 1:54:33And if we don't do that, you know, it's it's going to all,
- 1:54:35it's going to all disappear. There's never been a society
- 1:54:38like this where you're allowed to do anything you want and
- 1:54:42nothing happens. And I'm talking about violent
- 1:54:44crime. And it's going to get more
- 1:54:46violent because these are really, really violent people.
- 1:54:49And we're going to get them out of our country and we're going
- 1:54:52to get them back to where? Because they were sent here by
- 1:54:54the presidents and by the various people that run those
- 1:54:57countries. And I know every one of those
- 1:54:58guys and they're smart people and they're streetwise people
- 1:55:02and really think that the USA is stupid.
- 1:55:05They think we're run by stupid people.
- 1:55:07And they happen to be right. But when I was there, we had no
- 1:55:10problem. We got them out.
- 1:55:11We took out thousands of MS13 gang members.
- 1:55:14We brought them back. And now again, they it's the
- 1:55:17same old story. We don't do it.
- 1:55:18And they actually gave them a big increase in aid.
- 1:55:21They raised it up to billions of dollars and they get nothing for
- 1:55:25it. So, you know, it's, it's I hope
- 1:55:28everybody's going to vote for Trump and we're going to get
- 1:55:30this country straight. And I didn't need this.
- 1:55:32I'm like, I didn't need this. I had a very nice life.
- 1:55:35I didn't need to to go through court systems and go through all
- 1:55:38the other stuff and run at the same time.
- 1:55:40I have to run. I have to go through fake trials
- 1:55:43with in some cases, corrupt judges, totally corrupt judges.
- 1:55:47I didn't need it. I had a nice life.
- 1:55:49I have great locations, I have beautiful oceans that I have
- 1:55:52places. I, you know, I, this was, but I
- 1:55:55felt it was important. And if I had it, if I had to do
- 1:55:58it over again, you probably think I'm crazy for doing it
- 1:56:01actually. But if I had to do it over
- 1:56:03again, I would have done it over again because this is so much
- 1:56:06more important than me or my life.
- 1:56:08This is we're going to save this country.
- 1:56:10This country is going down and these people are bad people that
- 1:56:14were running against and they're liars.
- 1:56:16They make statements. They, they, they do things that
- 1:56:19are so bad they they say they're going to make a strong border.
- 1:56:23They say they've been great on the border and they've been the
- 1:56:26worst in history. They say they're.
- 1:56:28Going to stop crime, In fact, speak for themselves.
- 1:56:30It's so incredible. Speak for themselves like it's
- 1:56:33got the point where people just don't even bother reporting
- 1:56:35crime in a lot of right because they know nothing that's going
- 1:56:37to happen. You know, that's what I hear
- 1:56:39anecdotally from from people all the time.
- 1:56:42So, you know, it's just, you know, my values.
- 1:56:44I'm just saying to to people out there like my, you know, the
- 1:56:47things I think are important for the future is like, we've got to
- 1:56:50have safe cities. We're going to have secure
- 1:56:52borders, we're going to have sensible spending and and we
- 1:56:55have and we've got to have, you know, deregulation and so we can
- 1:56:59have a prosperous future. And then we want to have some
- 1:57:01exciting, you know, sort of moon shot projects that that people
- 1:57:05can get fired up about. And you know, that's, that's the
- 1:57:08future I'm looking for. And you know, I'm pro
- 1:57:11environment, but but I'm not against, you know, I'm not like,
- 1:57:15I don't think we should vilify the oil and gas industry because
- 1:57:18they're keeping civilization going right now.
- 1:57:21And but I do think we want to move, you know, you know, a
- 1:57:24reasonable speed towards a sustainable energy economy.
- 1:57:27Those are my values and, and, and I think, you know, and, and
- 1:57:31so I mean, that's why I'm supporting you for president,
- 1:57:37you know. Well, I appreciate we're going
- 1:57:38to make, we're going to give incentive to companies to come
- 1:57:41into our country, not to leave our country.
- 1:57:44We're going to be be giving tremendous incentives.
- 1:57:47We want companies to build here, not to build in other locations
- 1:57:51and we want to create jobs. And again, it's about the
- 1:57:54American dream. You don't hear about the
- 1:57:56American dream anymore, Elon. You don't hear you're the
- 1:57:58American dream, who says, but you don't hear about the
- 1:58:01American dream anymore and you're going to hear about it.
- 1:58:04People, they need that incentive to go out and, and do it.
- 1:58:08And they're going to love their lives.
- 1:58:10I mean, they're going to love, they're going to look forward to
- 1:58:11getting up in the morning and going to, you know, going to a
- 1:58:14job that they love, not a job that they can't stand or not any
- 1:58:18job at all, where they have no money, where they literally have
- 1:58:20no money. And then they end up with
- 1:58:21violence and lots of other problems.
- 1:58:23No, we're going to do we're going to do some great things.
- 1:58:25And I learned a lot in the first.
- 1:58:27We had a great economy and all of that.
- 1:58:29We rebuilt the military did so much, but I also learned and I
- 1:58:32also learned the best people. I learned the good people, the
- 1:58:35the smart people, the dumb people, the people that can do
- 1:58:38things, the people you know, you learn.
- 1:58:39When I first came in, I, I tell people I was in Washington, DC
- 1:58:43only 17 times, according to the fake news media.
- 1:58:46I was in 17 times. I never stayed over.
- 1:58:50And you don't know people. You rely on other people to give
- 1:58:52your names. And then you realize the people
- 1:58:54you relied on weren't so good. Now we had great people, but we
- 1:58:57also had somewhere I wouldn't have, you know, used them had I
- 1:58:59know, now I know everybody. And I think we're going to,
- 1:59:03we're going to really turn things around fast.
- 1:59:05We have no choice otherwise we're not going to have a
- 1:59:07country. And I really appreciate this has
- 1:59:10been to me, it's been a lot of fun being with you.
- 1:59:12You're an amazing guy. You've done an incredible job
- 1:59:15and a great inspiration to people, a great inspiration.
- 1:59:18And I hope you keep going and just continue to do well.
- 1:59:22And we're going to have a big election coming up.
- 1:59:24And I think November 5th will be the most important day in the
- 1:59:29history of our country. I think that election will be
- 1:59:31the most important election and I think it'll end up being maybe
- 1:59:34the most important day in the history of our country because
- 1:59:38we don't win. I just feel so sorry for
- 1:59:41everybody. No, we're, I think we're at a
- 1:59:43folk in the road of destiny of civilization.
- 1:59:46And I think we need to take the the right path and and I think
- 1:59:52you're the right path. So I think that's what it comes
- 1:59:54down. Thank you very much, Elon.
- 1:59:56It's a great honor. And we'll we'll do it again
- 1:59:58sometime. And it's been really fun.
- 2:00:01And I hope you got a lot of viewers.
- 2:00:03I hear you got a lot, but I hope you got, yeah, I know you got a
- 2:00:07lot of them, so I appreciate it. I'll see you soon.
- 2:00:11All right. Sounds good.
- 2:00:11Thank you. Thank you, Elon.
- 2:00:13Thank you very much. Bye.
