- 0:00Speaker 1: There's no way that's in our house, Like, what are
- 0:03Speaker 1: we doing? I feel like that's something I've thought of.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I feel like Meg's thought of plenty of times, like
- 0:09Speaker 1: what is that in our house? And I feel like
- 0:11Speaker 1: anybody listening has also questioned and even thought back like
- 0:16Speaker 1: why is this in here? Why is this in the cupboard?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Why is this six years old? It's probably not great.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Are we these people that are like doom and day preppers? Nope?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Maybe we should have everything going on in the world,
- 0:27Speaker 1: but we're not. So we thought, you know, what, kids
- 0:31Speaker 1: are busy. The oldest has thirteen softball games in fifteen days,
- 0:35Speaker 1: the middle kid a bunch of games and I don't
- 0:37Speaker 1: know how many days, and the youngest also has multiple
- 0:40Speaker 1: games and practices. So we didn't exactly have time to
- 0:44Speaker 1: go to a store or go buy some French fries
- 0:47Speaker 1: or anything like that. So after hours of contemplating and
- 0:51Speaker 1: coming up with idea, what did we decide to do?
- 0:53Speaker 2: Meg to clean out the coverage.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Clean out the cupboards, but call it a show. So
- 0:59Speaker 1: we each we grab five random things from around the house.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But the fun part is we don't know what the
- 1:04Speaker 1: other one picked, and we have to describe it without
- 1:07Speaker 1: saying what it is, and see if we can guess it.
- 1:11Speaker 1: And I found some interesting things that I had no
- 1:14Speaker 1: idea we're in our cupboards. It just shows you how
- 1:17Speaker 1: busy we are that we don't really take the time
- 1:20Speaker 1: to go through the cupboards. And I think that's a
- 1:21Speaker 1: good thing. I feel like there's a lot of people
- 1:23Speaker 1: in this world that are too busy to go through
- 1:25Speaker 1: their cupboards and it's not a bad thing. Maybe we're
- 1:28Speaker 1: the only ones, but I doubt it. Right, are we weird?
- 1:32Speaker 2: I mean yes, we also have a long commute, so
- 1:36Speaker 2: our days are a little longer than most people. I think.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I feel like our brain is always like, hey, we
- 1:42Speaker 1: have every intention of grabbing this, buying this, cooking this,
- 1:46Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, it's like seven point
- 1:48Speaker 1: thirty at night and we don't feel like cooking, so
- 1:50Speaker 1: we just buy something and then it just kind of
- 1:52Speaker 1: gets shuffled back into the cupboard and back into the
- 1:56Speaker 1: lazy Susan's And next thing you know, we're doing a
- 2:00Speaker 1: show about all this old stuff that we have in
- 2:02Speaker 1: our house. So some of mine's not old, some of
- 2:04Speaker 1: mine are just like what the heck were we think
- 2:06Speaker 1: of when we bought this. Okay, what do you think
- 2:10Speaker 1: it'll be interesting? So obviously the kids are busy. The
- 2:13Speaker 1: oldest at the time of the recording is getting ready
- 2:16Speaker 1: for probably I would say, the biggest game of the
- 2:19Speaker 1: year for sure in softball, Top two, top two for sure,
- 2:23Speaker 1: biggest game maybe to this point in the season, I
- 2:26Speaker 1: would say. And the youngest is well outbuilding fairy houses
- 2:32Speaker 1: with their cousins. Kind of cool.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Hey, you know it's been going on since what covid
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yes carried on. I was like an idea, Hey, go
- 2:41Speaker 2: do this. Your board can only use materials found yep around.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It was an idea to kind of just give them
- 2:49Speaker 1: something to do, kill some time and get them away
- 2:51Speaker 1: from us. And it's turned into a thing that they
- 2:53Speaker 1: continually do. And it's nice because they can actually play outside.
- 2:56Speaker 1: The sun is out and the temperature is above forty
- 2:58Speaker 1: degrees so not snow of your raining, haven't had snow,
- 3:00Speaker 1: having had rain? What a what a time to be
- 3:05Speaker 1: alive in the north country. So what do you think
- 3:07Speaker 1: we'll get into this? Who wants to lead off a
- 3:10Speaker 1: rock paper scissors? Who goes first?
- 3:11Speaker 2: You can just go first?
- 3:13Speaker 1: Oh, well, we've been watching squid games, and I feel
- 3:17Speaker 1: like we should do that right on three, Rock paper scissors. Shoot,
- 3:22Speaker 1: darn it, rock beats scissors. I'm bad at that, all right,
- 3:28Speaker 1: So you get to choose. Do you want me to
- 3:29Speaker 1: go first or do you want to go first?
- 3:36Speaker 2: I'll go first.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Okay, So you have an item I do. I don't
- 3:40Speaker 1: see the item. I know Megazin on camera. My items
- 3:42Speaker 1: are here. Hers are in a lovely aldie bag. I
- 3:47Speaker 1: cannot see. So let's just let's let's go. Let see
- 3:50Speaker 1: if I can guess it.
- 3:52Speaker 2: What kind of clues do you want?
- 3:55Speaker 1: I don't dealer's choice. How about anything that just doesn't
- 3:58Speaker 1: instantly give it away?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Okay? So this is an item? Should I say where
- 4:04Speaker 2: it's from?
- 4:05Speaker 1: Ken?
- 4:05Speaker 2: This is an item from the cupboard.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It's from the cupboard.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Okay, it comes in a box.
- 4:11Speaker 1: An item that's in the box in our cupboard. I'm
- 4:16Speaker 1: gonna say it is a cake mix. No, okay, cupboard box.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it's muffins.
- 4:26Speaker 2: No.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Speaking of muffins, I think we left muffins out on
- 4:29Speaker 1: the counter and the dogs are in the house.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I packaged them.
- 4:33Speaker 1: That's pretty smart.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I think you should be fine.
- 4:36Speaker 1: We got a dog his name's Bicky and he eats everything.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Box in the cupboard.
- 4:43Speaker 2: This is something that you have to prepare on stove top.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Is it a bab bah bah bah like a hamburger helper?
- 4:52Speaker 2: No, but you're heading in the right direction.
- 4:55Speaker 1: You have to prepare in the stove top.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Healthier Mmmm.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I was gonna say pasta salad, but I don't think
- 5:04Speaker 1: that's that's not healthier mac and cheese. No, it's not
- 5:07Speaker 1: healthy stovetop.
- 5:13Speaker 2: There are portions within the box.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Portions within the box that one throws me for a loop.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Portions in a box.
- 5:23Speaker 2: You might not even know that this was up there?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Has it been there? How many years ago did we
- 5:30Speaker 1: buy this is the over under on three years?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Ah No, I feel like it was not quite that
- 5:39Speaker 2: long ago. It's been a while though.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Portions in a box and a cupboard.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I forgot they were there.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Healthier portions. I'm confused. Tell me when you give, If
- 5:53Speaker 1: I give, do you get a point?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yes?
- 5:56Speaker 1: M portions in a box? How many closes at five?
- 6:02Speaker 1: Because I feel like we should stop it at like five?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Sure? Should I just reveal it?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Reveal it? And I'm gonna look this way just in
- 6:12Speaker 1: case you accidentally reveal the wrong thing. The heck is
- 6:15Speaker 1: that boil in a bag? Success success in a bag.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I would have never guessed that was in there, boiler
- 6:24Speaker 1: bag one hundred percent. How do you say it? Quenoa?
- 6:29Speaker 1: That's how you spell quen wa.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 1: On the back, it's got apple cinnamon breakfast quen wa
- 6:35Speaker 1: quenoa tabouli. Interesting. So first thing I always checked because
- 6:41Speaker 1: I grew up in a house where you know, the
- 6:43Speaker 1: same thing kind of happened. You'd get some old stuff
- 6:46Speaker 1: and you'd always check the date. So I'm trying to
- 6:47Speaker 1: check a date on this just for fun, because I
- 6:50Speaker 1: want I got an item I think is the oldest
- 6:52Speaker 1: one that's that's in our cupboard. I don't see a
- 6:55Speaker 1: date on I go through.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Like phases where hyper fixate them certain things, and I
- 7:02Speaker 2: was going through, like I wanted salad with queen wine
- 7:07Speaker 2: and strawberries.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Is quena? So those little uh, those little circle things?
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yeah, al rice?
- 7:20Speaker 1: Interesting? Did you know that you could add flavor with
- 7:23Speaker 1: fruit juices, apple, orange, tomato? You could add some brass.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I don't see a date on this. I think I'm blind,
- 7:30Speaker 1: or maybe it just I think everything has a date.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Maybe it just never goes bad.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That's a fun game though, too, right, try to find
- 7:37Speaker 1: the date on things. And when you get a little
- 7:38Speaker 1: bit older, Oh it's a good call. When you get
- 7:41Speaker 1: a little bit older, I don't think so it looks
- 7:45Speaker 1: like bird seed interesting. So I guess the question is
- 7:52Speaker 1: I guess you just said it. Every once in a while,
- 7:54Speaker 1: you just go in a phase. We try to eat
- 7:55Speaker 1: a little bit healthier. You like can Quenoa the oldest.
- 7:59Speaker 1: She likes kin wa.
- 8:00Speaker 2: So it turns out that the packets swell up and
- 8:02Speaker 2: make more than I thought it was going to be.
- 8:04Speaker 2: So like one package lasted a few salads and then
- 8:11Speaker 2: I got sick of them.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, hey, good intentions there with the with
- 8:16Speaker 1: the food. I think that's pretty good. Still kind of concerned.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I do not see a date on there. I'm harshally
- 8:23Speaker 1: a little scared that I was going to dip that
- 8:27Speaker 1: over when I looked at the bottom. Yeah, there's a
- 8:30Speaker 1: not a clear date on there. But you got a
- 8:33Speaker 1: phone here, Let me ask, Let me ask the phone
- 8:35Speaker 1: to anybody there. The average what is a lifespan, the
- 8:39Speaker 1: average shelf life, shelf life? What's the average shelf life?
- 8:43Speaker 1: On success? Boiling a bag Quinwa. The average shelf life
- 8:51Speaker 1: is two years, three seven and thirty days from the
- 8:54Speaker 1: date of manufacture. The manufactured date, it just has packed four.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Maybe it's still good.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Maybe it's still good, maybe it's not. What's the worst
- 9:08Speaker 1: that happens once it's cooked, though, you only have three
- 9:11Speaker 1: to five days in the fridge to consume, which I
- 9:14Speaker 1: think the house I grew up with, we didn't play
- 9:16Speaker 1: the three to five day rule. We played like the
- 9:18Speaker 1: seven to ten day rule. So I'll keep this here
- 9:20Speaker 1: by me, and we'll say that this is Meg's one.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I'm zero, and we'll right at the end, what is
- 9:27Speaker 1: the craziest thing that we found in our fridge? So
- 9:29Speaker 1: this is number one because it's the first one. I
- 9:31Speaker 1: didn't do just their house, sorry house, I don't I
- 9:34Speaker 1: didn't grab anything from the fridge. My apologies. I should have.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That would have been the obvious. We're stay out of
- 9:38Speaker 1: my fridge. I didn't do anything fridge.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Related, Okay, all right, I did something that were not
- 9:43Speaker 2: food related.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Okay, I like this.
- 9:46Speaker 2: So it was just in the house, right.
- 9:48Speaker 1: This is the whole point of this is like we're
- 9:51Speaker 1: having stuff that's in our house. I know, there's things
- 9:53Speaker 1: in your house that you're thinking the same thing. Why
- 9:55Speaker 1: is this there? We're gonna tell you, all right, So
- 9:58Speaker 1: I'm up. I'm gonna stick in the same kind of lane.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Found this in the cupboard, in a box. Clue one.
- 10:09Speaker 2: In a box Hamburger helper.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I mean, I've guessed that, so it's probably pretty obvious, right,
- 10:17Speaker 1: was that what it was? No? Oh, okay, this, I'm
- 10:23Speaker 1: fairly certain I purchased on a whim Okay bad Clue
- 10:32Speaker 1: number two. Uh, I just realized that was terrible.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Clue Is it sweet? Oh?
- 10:39Speaker 1: You could ask questions, Uh, yeah, it's sweet, it's sweet.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Is it brown?
- 10:50Speaker 1: I don't think so. No, I don't think it's brown.
- 10:56Speaker 1: It could be, but it's not. Hmmmm. I probably bought
- 11:07Speaker 1: this with the intentions that one of the kids would make.
- 11:09Speaker 2: This hot chocolate.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Close ish.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure we have some of those kids.
- 11:20Speaker 1: There is a lot of hot chocolate, all right.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I always want it, but they never drink it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So that was three. Clue number four. Some people they
- 11:32Speaker 1: don't say that they make this, they say that they
- 11:35Speaker 1: build this. And wasn't a famous kind of couple lines
- 11:42Speaker 1: in a movie? Mm? Tricky corn bread? No, but this.
- 11:55Speaker 2: You feel the dreams this specific.
- 11:58Speaker 1: If they build, that's good. This specific one is almost
- 12:02Speaker 1: the same color as corn bread. Last one.
- 12:09Speaker 2: A cake.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's a cake exactly?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Is it fun? Fatty?
- 12:14Speaker 1: No and sorry for anybody that if you hear some
- 12:16Speaker 1: back row and noise there is a what appears to
- 12:19Speaker 1: be a gang of kids coming near the studio. If
- 12:22Speaker 1: we do a gaggle of goofyness, if they end up
- 12:26Speaker 1: coming into the studio, then it is what it is,
- 12:30Speaker 1: part of parent life. So cake it was. It was
- 12:32Speaker 1: a cake. I'm not sure why we bought this steak,
- 12:37Speaker 1: but it was a oh yellow yellow cake from Ginger Evans.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And I mean just a normal cake.
- 12:47Speaker 2: But you sure save a lot.
- 12:49Speaker 1: It's definitely a save a lot, A save a lot guy.
- 12:51Speaker 1: But this one was best by August thirteen, twenty twenty two.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So I'm wondering if this was it was. It goes
- 13:00Speaker 1: in August, so I would have to imagine I didn't
- 13:02Speaker 1: buy it in August unless I did. Maybe there was
- 13:03Speaker 1: every intention of making you or the oldest birthday cake
- 13:07Speaker 1: at some point, or maybe I just wanted to buy
- 13:09Speaker 1: a cake. But I have to imagine that everybody buys
- 13:13Speaker 1: one of these they were like a dollar. This is
- 13:15Speaker 1: almost like a like a like a little bit of
- 13:17Speaker 1: a life hack because you can go out buy one
- 13:19Speaker 1: of these for like a buck. You can buy some
- 13:21Speaker 1: frostings for like a buck. You could have a nice,
- 13:24Speaker 1: big dessert for the family for like two three bucks.
- 13:28Speaker 2: I think that's exactly why you got it though, because
- 13:30Speaker 2: you went through a phase where you were like, you
- 13:32Speaker 2: made a cake, and you were like, Wow, this was
- 13:34Speaker 2: so easy. Why won't why don't I do this more often?
- 13:36Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever done this, And you went
- 13:39Speaker 2: on like cake after cake after cake.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It did happen?
- 13:44Speaker 2: I feel like that did happen?
- 13:45Speaker 1: I mean, and then it turned out that the middle
- 13:47Speaker 1: kid just decided to skip making the cakes to just
- 13:51Speaker 1: eat the frosting. But remember in uh, what's the movie?
- 13:57Speaker 1: Having a brain fart? Vote for Pedro to build your
- 14:00Speaker 1: cake Poleon Dynamite. Remember then they say I'm gonna build
- 14:04Speaker 1: you a cake. So pretty sure that was it. But yeah,
- 14:07Speaker 1: so I don't know, looks good, I'd eat it. But
- 14:12Speaker 1: twenty twenty two, this was actually in our cover today,
- 14:15Speaker 1: deep in the back behind a bunch of other stuff.
- 14:18Speaker 1: So this one, I think this is a practical buy.
- 14:20Speaker 1: You're not super mad that you throw it away. It's
- 14:22Speaker 1: only a buck or so. Not happy.
- 14:25Speaker 2: But at the same point, in my defense, I can't
- 14:27Speaker 2: reach most of ourshelves.
- 14:29Speaker 1: That is true. That is true. But did you know
- 14:33Speaker 1: I didn't know this that when you're using a glass
- 14:36Speaker 1: pan to make this, obviously you spray it, but it
- 14:39Speaker 1: says that you also dust it with flour.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yes, I did know that.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Okay, I'm probably the only one that didn't know that.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So I don't use spray. I use crisco. So I
- 14:48Speaker 2: Chris wipe it with crisco and then dust it with flower.
- 14:51Speaker 1: See. I was always a just a quick little spray.
- 14:55Speaker 1: But also, do not consume or eat the raw cake batter.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Don't love it. I'm gonna I'm gonna lick the thing
- 15:01Speaker 1: when I mix it, right. I know you're not supposed
- 15:03Speaker 1: to do because there's eggs in it, right, But I.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Don't think it's because of the eggs. I think it's
- 15:06Speaker 2: because of the flour.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Oh, which makes sense, because I mean, you can crack
- 15:10Speaker 1: an egg and just eat it, right, Rocky does it
- 15:12Speaker 1: all the time.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it's because the flour.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You can't eat raw flour.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Right. Interesting, So like if you're making like edible cookie dough,
- 15:21Speaker 2: you have to bake the flour first.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Oh kill this whatever's in there? That just makes sense.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I mean everything that you do when you make with
- 15:30Speaker 1: flour has to be baked first.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Right yep, Okay, look at that.
- 15:34Speaker 1: We learned something.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Sure that's the only reason, but I'm pretty sure the
- 15:37Speaker 2: flower is a big part of it.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I'll catch you all right. So we got two items
- 15:43Speaker 1: we're gonna We're gonna go with the I still think
- 15:45Speaker 1: the quena is the This one's more relatable. I think
- 15:49Speaker 1: it happens. But this one, which one would you think?
- 15:53Speaker 1: Are we going on the more relatable scale?
- 15:55Speaker 2: What do you mean to eliminate one?
- 15:57Speaker 1: Not just to say which one's the top?
- 15:59Speaker 2: One? Like to be left in the cupboard?
- 16:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I feel like you buy this,
- 16:05Speaker 1: you bake it, you buy it for a purpose. This one,
- 16:07Speaker 1: I think you do one or more, especially because there's
- 16:09Speaker 1: bags in it. Maybe you do one or two and
- 16:11Speaker 1: then the rest just sit out there. I think this
- 16:12Speaker 1: is still our number one, Okay, quen wa quina still
- 16:15Speaker 1: number one. We do have to make sure that this
- 16:18Speaker 1: cake gets thrown away all right, Meg's backup.
- 16:24Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna stick on trend with this will
- 16:28Speaker 2: be a clue with my last item, Okay, quenoa. This
- 16:34Speaker 2: is an item that went with it quin Well, I didn't.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Really know what quenua was, so there's a good chance
- 16:39Speaker 1: I'm not gonna know what.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Goes with It's not the same kind of product.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Goes with quenoa. I'm gonna say, you got it and
- 16:50Speaker 1: you didn't tell me where you get it from. I'm
- 16:52Speaker 1: gonna guess canned chicken. No, but that would go with quenoa, right, Yes, Okay,
- 17:04Speaker 1: you said you put it in salad, so okay, I'm
- 17:06Speaker 1: ready for clue two.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Okay, hm hmm. It's tangy.
- 17:13Speaker 1: It's tangy. It goes with it, and it's tangy. Uh
- 17:23Speaker 1: barbecue sauce.
- 17:25Speaker 2: No, but you're on the right track.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Okay, Do I get clue three? It's tangy and it
- 17:35Speaker 1: goes with quinoa. I have no idea what goes with quenoa.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Full disclosure.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Not just think about what I used the quinoa for
- 17:43Speaker 2: a salad?
- 17:46Speaker 1: It goes with a salad. It's tangy, it's salad dressing. Yes, yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 1: did I want or do I have to guess specifically Italian? No,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I don't have to guess. What do we got here?
- 17:57Speaker 1: What is this? Maple ball samic?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Okay, the best dressing I've ever had, but I went
- 18:05Speaker 2: through like four bottles of it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Oh did you know this is bad?
- 18:08Speaker 2: Yes?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Okay also went bad three thirty, twenty twenty five over
- 18:13Speaker 1: a year old, unsealed. I feel like this is pretty common,
- 18:17Speaker 1: not only the condiment, but I think a salad dressing.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I think every single person that eats salads could go
- 18:23Speaker 1: to their fridge right now and find a salad dressing
- 18:27Speaker 1: that is half full, has a little bit left that's
- 18:29Speaker 1: been used, and it's just sitting right there on your
- 18:32Speaker 1: on probably believe the side thing. I know, we have
- 18:35Speaker 1: a fridge that's from like nineteen eighty, so it's much different.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Than has the doorshelves.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, much different than the cool guy new kind
- 18:42Speaker 1: of wave of fridges. But I feel like this is
- 18:45Speaker 1: very common. I feel like this would be more relatable
- 18:47Speaker 1: and common than quinwa to be around a house.
- 18:51Speaker 2: What do you like to use the same dressing every day?
- 18:54Speaker 2: Unless it's that one.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Unless it's what else? Could you use? Maple balsamic vinegar?
- 19:00Speaker 2: For chicken, like I think I did that one time.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I thought you could do that.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I wonder what it's like, probably put it.
- 19:08Speaker 2: On like vegetables like sauteed zucchini.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Can We talked about this logo for a minute on here.
- 19:14Speaker 1: What are they trying to accomplish? See the B and
- 19:16Speaker 1: then it's got a ladle with like flames. How many
- 19:19Speaker 1: times would you have a ladle that's on fire? I
- 19:21Speaker 1: don't know if you guys can see that it's bows.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I believe I like the logo full discretion, but yeah,
- 19:27Speaker 1: it's like a bee with a ladle that's got flames
- 19:30Speaker 1: coming from it. Right, maybe it's some hot soup, some
- 19:33Speaker 1: hot tea, but it's maple bilsonic vinagarette. I wonder if
- 19:37Speaker 1: they have like a recommendation on here what I like
- 19:39Speaker 1: to know allergens, so you could use this if you
- 19:43Speaker 1: got any. They don't really tell you here, but they
- 19:45Speaker 1: do tell you about bows. But then it says questions,
- 19:49Speaker 1: suggestions or congratulations that you could call the number, visit
- 19:52Speaker 1: the website. It's different. I like it. Guess how many
- 19:56Speaker 1: years at the time that this label went on that
- 19:59Speaker 1: not Victoria who made people happy with good honest food
- 20:04Speaker 1: that was lovingly prepared. Started this on her stovetop and
- 20:09Speaker 1: served the neighborhood for how many years? Twenty three close
- 20:16Speaker 1: seventy five. That's interesting, right, so shout out it was.
- 20:21Speaker 2: A really good dressing. No, no, I'm kind of sad
- 20:24Speaker 2: that I let it expire.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Yeah, everybody wants to buy this office. I'm just kidding.
- 20:28Speaker 1: We can't probably sell. I feel like this is number one.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I think this is the most relatable object, not this
- 20:35Speaker 1: one specifically, but the genre salad dressing. I feel like
- 20:38Speaker 1: everybody's got an old one or half used one. Right,
- 20:42Speaker 1: do you agree or disagree?
- 20:44Speaker 2: I agree?
- 20:45Speaker 1: All right, So we're gonna go with that as our
- 20:47Speaker 1: number one. All right, Wow, time flies when you're having fun.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna go this one in my brain because I'm
- 20:58Speaker 1: not really sure what this is. I got this from
- 21:01Speaker 1: the cupboard. The cupboard, a cupboard, Okay, this I think
- 21:11Speaker 1: I know what.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I just have a feeling.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I don't guess it.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Then, is it from the medicine cabinet covered.
- 21:19Speaker 1: The medicine cabinet cover like in the bathroom? Yeah no, no, no,
- 21:22Speaker 1: this is in a kitchen.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Okay, never mind.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Then this is something you definitely consume this is something
- 21:27Speaker 1: that would I you bought this, I should use that
- 21:32Speaker 1: you bought this. I can tell you I was gonna
- 21:36Speaker 1: say ninety eight eighty seven percent sure that you bought
- 21:39Speaker 1: this as a quick hit option meal.
- 21:47Speaker 2: It's not mac and cheese, because that goes flying off
- 21:50Speaker 2: the shelf every.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Not mac and cheese. I will give you another clue.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Not the cupboard. You're maybe thinking the cupboard next to
- 21:59Speaker 1: the fridge.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Hmmmm is it vacuum sealed?
- 22:06Speaker 1: Uh? Maybe think so. I don't know what you would
- 22:12Speaker 1: describe a form of pasta. It is in the Italian genre.
- 22:18Speaker 2: The tartalini is that it.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I don't really know what this is, but I'll go
- 22:22Speaker 1: with yes, you win. And I think you're thinking your
- 22:26Speaker 1: even I grabbed this. It's the expired. It's a potato.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Oh nan chi yoki, yoki, that's yoki. It's got Is
- 22:38Speaker 1: this expired? That's the question of the day.
- 22:41Speaker 2: No.
- 22:42Speaker 1: July twentieth, twenty twenty six.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I think I thought those were Turtellini's. I'm not sure
- 22:46Speaker 2: why about those?
- 22:48Speaker 1: I mean, I buy those?
- 22:49Speaker 2: Or did you buy that?
- 22:50Speaker 1: There's no way I bought this. I would have never
- 22:53Speaker 1: looked at this and said I'm gonna buy a yochi
- 22:55Speaker 1: because I thought it was Ganacci Ganucci.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Well, what's just this good? Yeah?
- 23:01Speaker 1: Something with them July twenty, twenty twenty six, so should
- 23:05Speaker 1: be good, right, yes today? Yeah it's not July, right.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Potato puree, so, I mean it's like a potato. It's
- 23:10Speaker 1: like a like a little perogi, right kind of.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Yeah, there's sometimes in soups.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Or like they're not supposed to be liquid in here, right, No,
- 23:18Speaker 1: because if there is, there is none. They look like
- 23:21Speaker 1: some kind of insect, like a slug, but like a
- 23:25Speaker 1: really edible looking good.
- 23:26Speaker 2: They take like a little pieces and they roll them.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I mean, I'm down for this potato batter.
- 23:32Speaker 1: So the reason I got this. I feel like this
- 23:35Speaker 1: is it was a quick hit meal because it says
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's ready in one to two minutes cooking time, so
- 23:40Speaker 1: you just drop it in some boiling water, drop it in.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I know, Isla's not eating this, maybe avery depends on
- 23:48Speaker 1: the day Sissy's eating this, we're doing this, or probably
- 23:51Speaker 1: gonna drop it with some marinera, maybe an alfredo sauce,
- 23:54Speaker 1: maybe a little of leach. But uh yeah, proud product
- 23:58Speaker 1: of Italy. I kind of just grabbed this. It was
- 24:00Speaker 1: on a radar to eat soon. Yeah, but I think
- 24:02Speaker 1: this is relatable. This is a quick hit meal for
- 24:04Speaker 1: a busy family just landed in here. I'm assuming you
- 24:08Speaker 1: saw this. You were like, that looks good. Let's try it.
- 24:11Speaker 1: It's different, it's good, it's good. Okay, all right, I'm
- 24:15Speaker 1: still saying the salad dressing most relatable. Okay, all right,
- 24:21Speaker 1: you are killing this game. I am not. Okay, all right,
- 24:26Speaker 1: Oh blay.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Also in a.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Box, also in a box, okay, uh, crewtons?
- 24:36Speaker 2: No, that's usually in a bag.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Oh I thought I saw a box crewton Nope, okay,
- 24:42Speaker 1: not a crew toon.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Also has individual packets in it.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Gosh, darn it, Ramen. No, they don't have an individual
- 24:51Speaker 1: pack Well, they have an individual packet. They don't come
- 24:55Speaker 1: in a box either. Well, they come in a box,
- 24:57Speaker 1: in a bag, in a bag, in a box.
- 25:00Speaker 2: This is a particularly large box of this item.
- 25:03Speaker 1: It's a large box of this item with individual I
- 25:10Speaker 1: have no idea.
- 25:13Speaker 2: We did not purchase this item.
- 25:15Speaker 1: We did not purchase this. That doesn't help. I'm assuming
- 25:22Speaker 1: my parents are your parents. Correct, crackers? No, m.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Also needs water added, also needs water added.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Potatoes? No, what is it a give Oh my goodness,
- 25:47Speaker 1: why would my parents buy this? They don't bet anything healthy.
- 25:50Speaker 1: It's old meal, Quaker goodness.
- 25:53Speaker 2: You can taste, but original flavor.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Original flavor. There's a reason they're sitting in there and
- 26:00Speaker 1: seeing our kids eat oatmeal.
- 26:01Speaker 2: In a hot minute, I don't think it's expired.
- 26:04Speaker 1: April nine, twenty twenty six. It's expired.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Okay, it's expired.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Found another thing to throw away here, twenty four value
- 26:12Speaker 1: pack Original. Let's be honest. If you absolutely love the
- 26:17Speaker 1: original instant oatmeal, you are healthy, you are raised. Yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 1: you're raised in a healthy family. You're just built different.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Our kids love oatmeal, I will say that, but not
- 26:31Speaker 2: original flavor.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Correct, And I feel like oatmeal is a very acquired taste,
- 26:35Speaker 1: not only because there really isn't a taste, but the texture.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Like for me, I've tried to love oatmeal. It's good
- 26:42Speaker 1: for you, it's healthy, it's got some stuff in it,
- 26:44Speaker 1: but I just can't eat it. I have to like
- 26:48Speaker 1: make sure I don't taste it in the texture, and
- 26:50Speaker 1: I gotta go home, so.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I have to make it and eat it quickly because
- 26:55Speaker 2: I don't like it when it gets like I like
- 26:57Speaker 2: it to have bite to it, so I usually just
- 27:00Speaker 2: use like the hot water from the sink instead of
- 27:02Speaker 2: boiling water, because I don't like it overcooked too hot
- 27:06Speaker 2: to where it gets mushy. I don't know about the oldmeal,
- 27:09Speaker 2: and I would have baked something with them. I think
- 27:12Speaker 2: I could have used those to make like cookies or something.
- 27:15Speaker 2: But one of the children said, I love that, so
- 27:20Speaker 2: I didn't touch it. And there it's set.
- 27:23Speaker 1: There it's set. All right, we got time for one more.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I feel like you should go. Mine are kind of boring.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I feel like you've got a good one because I
- 27:34Speaker 1: just said, we got time for one more, and oh yeah,
- 27:37Speaker 1: all right, let's do them both.
- 27:38Speaker 2: I still had a lot left.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I still I'm gonna do my big item.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Oh big item, big ticket item.
- 27:48Speaker 2: It was a health choice.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Okay, well that's probably why were not from the kitchen.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Health choice not from the kitchen.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Oh mmm, all intentions of using this item every day?
- 28:08Speaker 1: M M. Is it a product like eric, something you consume.
- 28:13Speaker 2: No, it's a it's a something you use, health product
- 28:18Speaker 2: that you use. It's fairly large.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Like something that you would use to work out with. Correct,
- 28:26Speaker 1: something you would use to work out with uh resistant bands.
- 28:33Speaker 2: No, but in the right direction.
- 28:36Speaker 1: The push up thing, no, you got it for you
- 28:40Speaker 1: to use or us for me to use.
- 28:43Speaker 2: I think the girls used it a little bit too.
- 28:45Speaker 1: But the hula hoop, yeah, you get the hula hoop thing.
- 28:48Speaker 2: So I actually do love this product, but I can't
- 28:50Speaker 2: use it because my dog chases the ball on it.
- 28:54Speaker 1: So it's a yeah, we'll bring this over here. This
- 28:58Speaker 1: is a good one. This is a big ticket item.
- 29:01Speaker 1: So this is a hula hoop thing that has a ball,
- 29:04Speaker 1: so I guess it weighted. So the object is you're moving,
- 29:07Speaker 1: You're you're using your core, you're using everything, and.
- 29:11Speaker 2: That hooks around your stomach.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Doesn't this didn't this like leave bruising?
- 29:16Speaker 2: Well, I have a band that I wear underneath this is.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I do like it, but the dog chases the ball
- 29:23Speaker 2: around in a circle as it's going around and bites it.
- 29:25Speaker 2: So I can't find a good place to use this item.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I want to do the living room where he can't
- 29:32Speaker 1: get true problem solved, we're hula hooping later. That's a
- 29:39Speaker 1: good one. I would I was gonna say I would
- 29:41Speaker 1: have never guess it, but I did. Do you want
- 29:43Speaker 1: to go one more. No, that's okay, Okay, I'll do
- 29:46Speaker 1: one more. This item is it's in a bag, it's
- 29:54Speaker 1: in a bag, it was in the cupboard.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Uh, egg noodles.
- 30:02Speaker 1: No. I think it was unique and a healthy option.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Air quotes healthy.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Tuna packets.
- 30:15Speaker 1: No, I'd say it's more of a snack than a meal.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Hmmm.
- 30:30Speaker 1: This would be another option instead of like something that
- 30:35Speaker 1: you would go for a quick side, maybe with a sandwich,
- 30:39Speaker 1: maybe with something like a quick I didn't know this
- 30:43Speaker 1: was even a thing. And I'm not sure you know.
- 30:47Speaker 2: That this was oyster crackers.
- 30:49Speaker 1: No, I know oyster crackers. Are thinking like it was
- 30:51Speaker 1: a soap. I never had a sandwich and some oyster crackers.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And I'm fairly certain you bought this. This doesn't scream.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I bought this.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Seaweed.
- 31:02Speaker 1: M you would have bought that, But that's not it.
- 31:07Speaker 1: It would be in the same mile. Is one of
- 31:09Speaker 1: my favorite snacks and sides in the entire world, which
- 31:13Speaker 1: is pratzels.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I say, popcorn pretzels or.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Trailex same same mile, I would assume, hm hm.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Hmmmm. Veggie straws close.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I'm gonna show you it is apple chips.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Oh, I did buy those.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Yeah, gluten free apple chips. These went bad a year ago.
- 31:43Speaker 2: We did go through a few bags of those.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Yeah, Granny Smith apple chips from Seneca. Which is it Seneca,
- 31:50Speaker 1: New York where these are made Seneca Foods. Nope, Seneca
- 31:54Speaker 1: Snack Company and Joakima Washington gluten free. I mean maybe
- 32:00Speaker 1: it's another You know, the chips are made from freshole apples.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Pretty cool thing. You can try them all. They got
- 32:06Speaker 1: original caramel, cinnamon, Granny Smith Golden Delicious, and shower Apple
- 32:10Speaker 1: and make a great salad topper.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Caramel would be good.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Yeah, so made from fresh apples, healthy alternative. I would
- 32:18Speaker 1: imagine one hundred and forty calories per serving total fast,
- 32:22Speaker 1: seven grams, some sodium, total carbs, all that good stuff.
- 32:25Speaker 1: So h one hundred milligrams of potashium. Yeah, this was
- 32:30Speaker 1: an option that also was going to get in there.
- 32:31Speaker 1: But what I grab this is I feel like chips
- 32:34Speaker 1: in our house For some reason. The biggest thing is
- 32:37Speaker 1: tortilla chips, and they'll be all the little crumbs on
- 32:40Speaker 1: the bottom, and nobody wants to be which is funny.
- 32:44Speaker 1: One either nobody wants to be the last one or
- 32:46Speaker 1: two people don't want to going because you can dip them.
- 32:49Speaker 1: But we do a lot of taco salads where it's
- 32:51Speaker 1: perfect for you just dumple the crumbs in there. But
- 32:54Speaker 1: for some reason, I think chips is a common thing
- 32:56Speaker 1: that just stack up, that get old, they get there,
- 32:58Speaker 1: somebody just doesn't want to either finish them.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Or chuck them, because it's like that weird decision where
- 33:04Speaker 2: it's not empty, but I don't really want to eat
- 33:06Speaker 2: the crumbs and.
- 33:06Speaker 1: They're not bad, but then they turn bad. So I
- 33:09Speaker 1: think that one so well, I guess we're gonna wrap
- 33:11Speaker 1: this up. What would you say is the most relatable
- 33:14Speaker 1: item that everybody can find in their fridge and their
- 33:16Speaker 1: kitchen in their house. I think it's down to either
- 33:18Speaker 1: the chips, not specifically the Granny Smith chips or salad dressing.
- 33:22Speaker 1: What do you think is in there that just just
- 33:25Speaker 1: kind of piles up a little bit more the chips
- 33:26Speaker 1: are the dressings?
- 33:27Speaker 2: I think it's the dressings.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Yes, I think, all right, we'll go with the dressings.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Number one. Most kind of object that's in a fridge
- 33:36Speaker 1: in a house, in a in an area. So all right,
- 33:41Speaker 1: the kids are screaming, that's our cue that we got
- 33:43Speaker 1: to get out of here. So if anybody is in
- 33:45Speaker 1: my house and they're hanging out, make sure you stay
- 33:48Speaker 1: out of my fridge. We'll be back next week, maybe
- 33:51Speaker 1: with the kids, maybe with not but something a little more.
- 33:53Speaker 1: That was fun, right, that was fun. Well, we'll get
- 33:56Speaker 1: something that'll hook the kids that they't want to do.
- 33:57Speaker 1: So that's all we got.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Cool cover.
- 34:00Speaker 1: So we cleaned out our car. All right, that's all
- 34:03Speaker 1: we got. Take everybody, bye, bye, bye knocking. Who's there?
- 34:07Speaker 1: It's the podcast the doors. Stay out of my fresh
- 34:11Speaker 1: well that ready to store. Gotta tell the tale, Gonna
- 34:14Speaker 1: make you laugh and make you smile. So tuckle up, tie,
- 34:18Speaker 1: it's gonna be above. You're tiving deep into your fresh
- 34:23Speaker 1: were SECRETI
