- Lucas: Luna, welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo. Ready for another tiny step? Luna: Definitely. I've been practicing the weather phrases from last time. Hace sol, está lloviendo... Lucas: Nice. Today we're going to add a couple more and really get them stuck in your head. We'll do a little story at the end. Luna: Perfect. I love stories. So what are the new ones? Lucas: We already know 'Hace sol' — it's sunny. And 'Está lloviendo' — it's raining. Now let's add 'Hace frío' — it's cold. Luna: Hace frío. Hace frío. That one feels familiar from winter. Lucas: Exactly. And the opposite: 'Hace calor' — it's hot. Say it with me: Hace calor. Luna: Hace calor. Hace calor. That sounds like a nice summer day. Lucas: And one more: 'Está nublado' — it's cloudy. Try it. Luna: Está nublado. Está nublado. Hmm, that one's a bit longer but I think I've got it. Lucas: You do. Let's do a quick run-through. Repeat after me: Hace sol. Luna: Hace sol. Lucas: Está lloviendo. Luna: Está lloviendo. Lucas: Hace frío. Luna: Hace frío. Lucas: Hace calor. Luna: Hace calor. Lucas: Está nublado. Luna: Está nublado. Lucas: Now let me tell you a tiny story. Imagine it's a weekend and you're at the park. It's a bit cold. How do you say it's cold? Luna: Hace frío. Lucas: Right. So you decide to walk a bit and then the sun comes out. Now it's sunny. How do you say it's sunny? Luna: Hace sol. Lucas: But then clouds come in. It's cloudy. What do you say? Luna: Está nublado. Lucas: And suddenly it starts raining. How do you say it's raining? Luna: Está lloviendo. Lucas: You run for cover. Then it stops and the sun returns. Now it's hot. How do you say it's hot? Luna: Hace calor. Lucas: Perfect. So you just described a whole day at the park in Spanish. Luna: That's awesome. I can really see myself using these. Lucas: And you know what, if Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with this language, a couple of dollars a month is genuinely what keeps these going — buy me a coffee dot com slash fexingo, if you've gotten something out of them. Luna: Yeah, it really does make a difference. We love doing these. Lucas: Okay, back to the weather. Let's do one more quick practice. I'll say the English, you say the Spanish. Ready? Luna: Ready. Lucas: It's sunny. Luna: Hace sol. Lucas: It's raining. Luna: Está lloviendo. Lucas: It's cold. Luna: Hace frío. Lucas: It's hot. Luna: Hace calor. Lucas: It's cloudy. Luna: Está nublado. Lucas: You did it. Practice these till we chat again. See you next time. Luna: Thanks, Lucas! Bye everyone.
