- 0:05Speaker 1: NFL Now is a production of the NFL in partnership
- 0:08Speaker 1: with I Heart Radio. Got a lot going on today
- 0:18Speaker 1: on a Wednesday, getting ready for week seven of the
- 0:21Speaker 1: two season. From our newsroom in Los Angeles. This is
- 0:24Speaker 1: NFL Now. By name is Andrews Siciliano. Coming up, we'll
- 0:28Speaker 1: talk to Bengals wide receiver Tyler Board. Don't look now
- 0:30Speaker 1: they could move to first in the a f C North. Also,
- 0:33Speaker 1: we're live in Arizona, head of TNF the Cardinals and
- 0:37Speaker 1: the Saints. And for the first time since his concussion,
- 0:41Speaker 1: we'll hear from Dolphins quarterback to a tongue of by
- 0:43Speaker 1: Lois set to get back on the field in Miami
- 0:46Speaker 1: this coming Sunday night. We begin with really a shock
- 0:50Speaker 1: or a bombshell, if you will, out of the NFL
- 0:53Speaker 1: league meetings yesterday, the quarterly meetings in New York. For
- 0:56Speaker 1: the first time, we heard an NFL owner take a
- 0:59Speaker 1: stand against that man that is Washington Commander's owner Daniel Snyder,
- 1:03Speaker 1: basically saying he thank Snyder should be out. It was
- 1:06Speaker 1: Jim er Say, owner of the Indianapolis Colts. You know,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I believe that there's a merrit to remove him as owner.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I think it's something that we have to review. We
- 1:22Speaker 1: have to look at all the evidence, and we have
- 1:25Speaker 1: to be thorough in going forward. But um, you know,
- 1:30Speaker 1: I think it's something that has to be given serious consideration. Certainly. Um,
- 1:36Speaker 1: that's something we had not yet heard from any NFL owner.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Ian Rappaport was there, Mike Gara Fola was there. Our
- 1:43Speaker 1: insiders are both now here with us on NFL or
- 1:46Speaker 1: Roger Goodell spoke a little bit later as well, um
- 1:49Speaker 1: as he normally does after a league meeting, saying that
- 1:52Speaker 1: the investigation Ian is still ongoing. But to hear an
- 1:55Speaker 1: owner and to hear Jim Mersey say that that was
- 1:58Speaker 1: pretty much unprecedented. It was unprecedented. It was surreal, I mean,
- 2:02Speaker 1: just to be in that room, to be in that environment.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Everyone was kind of looking at each other like, dude,
- 2:07Speaker 1: you're are you hearing this? He's saying the right thing,
- 2:10Speaker 1: looking at you know, league officials and colts officials standing
- 2:13Speaker 1: right there. It was it was something And for owner
- 2:15Speaker 1: jimmer said, to come out walking talk to the media,
- 2:19Speaker 1: laid all out there, clearly something that he had thought
- 2:21Speaker 1: very hard about, something he had planned out, and just
- 2:24Speaker 1: to do all of that in the way that he
- 2:26Speaker 1: did it was, Uh was a bomb show, like you said.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And the fact that an owner, Mike is now on
- 2:31Speaker 1: the record saying that at least it merits consideration that
- 2:35Speaker 1: Dan Sander be removed. Uh is nowhere that you know
- 2:38Speaker 1: he is not the only one. And the fact that
- 2:41Speaker 1: he said potentially they could get to twenty four votes
- 2:44Speaker 1: is significant too. And there's a lot of things that
- 2:46Speaker 1: need to happen. We need to find out what is
- 2:48Speaker 1: in Mary Joe White's report, but clearly the ball is
- 2:51Speaker 1: rolling here in a way. It just was not until
- 2:54Speaker 1: Jim Rcy started talking. It's because I did have an
- 2:58Speaker 1: exchange with a few folks on Twitter who maybe didn't
- 3:01Speaker 1: understand it because I said, well, look, he's not selling
- 3:03Speaker 1: the team. They said, well, if you get the any
- 3:05Speaker 1: four votes, he doesn't have a choice. Well, yeah, that's
- 3:07Speaker 1: how it's written in the by laws of the NFL
- 3:10Speaker 1: amongst ownership. But then beyond that, there is a legal
- 3:13Speaker 1: system and I would not expect Daniel Snyder to go quietly.
- 3:16Speaker 1: And I think it's Judy Batista did a good job
- 3:19Speaker 1: of really explaining this yesterday during the show. There is
- 3:22Speaker 1: in her opinion, I share the same opinion, because we're
- 3:25Speaker 1: talking to folks who have opinions on what that room thinks,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and there is the belief that there's enough owners to
- 3:32Speaker 1: get to that twenty four votes, but that they'd rather
- 3:35Speaker 1: not get there. They'd rather just Daniel and Ta Tanya
- 3:39Speaker 1: Snyder sell the team and go away quietly. There's been
- 3:42Speaker 1: no indication at any point along the way that that
- 3:45Speaker 1: will ever happen, including in the statement from a commander's
- 3:48Speaker 1: folkesperson yesterday that flatly stated they will not sell the team.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So if you get those twenty four votes, sure that
- 3:56Speaker 1: gets you closer to where you want to be, but
- 3:58Speaker 1: then you would expect that Daniel and Tanya Snyder would
- 4:01Speaker 1: then fight it as much as they could in the courts.
- 4:04Speaker 1: All right, and dro Goodell yesterday said the investigation stressed
- 4:07Speaker 1: in multiple times when asked about our essays comments, is
- 4:10Speaker 1: still ongoing. Mary Joe White, leading this investigation Ursay spoke
- 4:14Speaker 1: as well of a league meeting in March where maybe
- 4:16Speaker 1: there could be votes ian but they're gonna wait until
- 4:19Speaker 1: the end of this investigation. Do we have a timeline.
- 4:23Speaker 1: We do not have a timeline. And what Roger Goodell
- 4:26Speaker 1: said yesterday when I asked about that is it's ready. Basically,
- 4:29Speaker 1: when it's ready. When Mary Joe White decides that it's ready,
- 4:32Speaker 1: it will be ready and they're gonna make it public.
- 4:35Speaker 1: That is one thing that he made very clear. But yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: there's no firm timeline. There is a league meeting in
- 4:40Speaker 1: December in Dallas, the home of Jerry Jones, of course. Uh,
- 4:44Speaker 1: and perhaps that we get some news at that point.
- 4:48Speaker 1: If not, then a league meeting in March. But Mike
- 4:50Speaker 1: really hit on it though. The hope is that after
- 4:53Speaker 1: all these findings become clear, after the investigations get made public,
- 4:57Speaker 1: it is just too much and the owners can go
- 4:59Speaker 1: to Daniel Senter and Toni Sneider and say, look at
- 5:02Speaker 1: all these things. If the reports I've been them what
- 5:05Speaker 1: I think a lot of owners think they will, Uh,
- 5:08Speaker 1: it's time do the right thing. We'll see if that
- 5:11Speaker 1: ends up happening. Though, Well, we've got the workplace issues
- 5:15Speaker 1: that have already been documented that the Washington commanders and
- 5:17Speaker 1: Daniel Snyder have made it clear that they are making
- 5:21Speaker 1: steps to take care of that or to make amends
- 5:24Speaker 1: for what's happened in the past and make sure it
- 5:25Speaker 1: doesn't happen going forward. So you've got that part of it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Now if you find out that there's financial impropriety on
- 5:31Speaker 1: top of that, so you're gonna have personal conduct and
- 5:35Speaker 1: you're gonna also have business issues that certainly will register
- 5:40Speaker 1: with the folks in that room that Ian's talking about.
- 5:43Speaker 1: If it's in December during the league meeting then or
- 5:46Speaker 1: if it's in March once we get to that point
- 5:48Speaker 1: with the spring meeting. So uh many steps to go here.
- 5:52Speaker 1: But the next one is that investigation. Because Roger Goodell
- 5:56Speaker 1: and the other owners other than Jim Mercy who were
- 5:58Speaker 1: asked for their opinions, said well, let's wait until the
- 6:01Speaker 1: investigation comes out of the findings of the investigation, so
- 6:04Speaker 1: that it is the next step. That's where our eyes
- 6:06Speaker 1: are in this process right now. Andrews certainly want to follow.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Is the Commander's The football team are now switching quarterbacks
- 6:12Speaker 1: with Carson Wentz injured and Taylor Heinekey in and Aaron
- 6:16Speaker 1: Rodgers and the Packers coming to town. And we'll use
- 6:19Speaker 1: that to transition to the football guys and to the
- 6:21Speaker 1: week seven. We'll do quarterback injuries and Dak Prescott today
- 6:25Speaker 1: is a huge day for him if he practices Wednesday,
- 6:28Speaker 1: first real day of practice for the new week, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: he's good to go. Then the thought is he is
- 6:33Speaker 1: the quarterback this week for the Cowboys. Any insight there
- 6:36Speaker 1: not quite as simple as that. It's a step I
- 6:38Speaker 1: step process and every time he does one thing and
- 6:41Speaker 1: he's got to hit the next benchmark to be able
- 6:43Speaker 1: to do the next thing. So very big news today,
- 6:45Speaker 1: Dak Prescott is going to practice. And I was told
- 6:48Speaker 1: unless he practices Wednesday, he is not going to play
- 6:51Speaker 1: in a Sunday game. So there's list of his question.
- 6:53Speaker 1: The last week, didn't practice Wednesday, had no chance to
- 6:56Speaker 1: be able to play. Is going to practice today? If
- 6:58Speaker 1: he comes out of this with no issues, if his
- 7:00Speaker 1: thumb is still strong, if he's all good, then perhaps
- 7:03Speaker 1: you can get him to a point where he practic
- 7:05Speaker 1: this is fully in team drills at some point this week.
- 7:08Speaker 1: If that happens, then you were likely to see him
- 7:10Speaker 1: on the field on Sunday. It's not just snap your
- 7:13Speaker 1: fingers and he goes. But the hope from everyone involved
- 7:16Speaker 1: is that he continues to clear hurdles as he's been
- 7:18Speaker 1: and then right at the six week mark, the Cowboys
- 7:21Speaker 1: will get their starting all right, he can snap his
- 7:23Speaker 1: fingers though he was he was clapping the other day,
- 7:25Speaker 1: so he can snap and clap. Let me tell you, Mike,
- 7:28Speaker 1: and Mike was on it. Mike was on the sideline
- 7:32Speaker 1: there in Philadelphia. I mean he was. I mean, how
- 7:35Speaker 1: many you were posting I g stories of Dak Prescott
- 7:38Speaker 1: Row and football like you're a teenager on TikTok. Mike.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I meane, it was nonsense on Twitter. But listen, I'm gonna,
- 7:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna, I'm gonna take these flowers. I'm gonna get
- 7:47Speaker 1: him right back to you. Because you were texting me
- 7:49Speaker 1: while you were hosting Red Zone. I still don't understand.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Let's tell you have the time for that. Oh he
- 7:55Speaker 1: just kind there in the games playing, So like, I
- 7:58Speaker 1: watched the games and then I'm typing and I saw
- 8:00Speaker 1: your tweet and I texted you, yes, say teamwork behind
- 8:04Speaker 1: the scenes, thank you, Mike. Yeah, any and all right,
- 8:09Speaker 1: let's get to new right now. Images of to a
- 8:12Speaker 1: tongue of Valoa from cam Wolfe's Twitter feeds. He he
- 8:15Speaker 1: tweets while working as well back on the field, and
- 8:18Speaker 1: he seems to be good to go, starting for the
- 8:21Speaker 1: Dolphins Sunday night against the Steelers. What I want to
- 8:28Speaker 1: see is the same locked in guy that I know
- 8:34Speaker 1: when he's on it. He's um, he's laser focused, he's
- 8:41Speaker 1: in his normal mood, UM, but he doesn't lose a
- 8:47Speaker 1: tension span at the task at hand. It's been a process,
- 8:51Speaker 1: that's for sure. UM, having to deal with the UM
- 8:56Speaker 1: interviews with the NFL and the NFL p A, and
- 8:58Speaker 1: then having to go and see doctors outside with second opinions.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So a lot of it has has been I would say,
- 9:07Speaker 1: pretty stressful just watching watching my team, you know, go
- 9:13Speaker 1: go out to battle and I can't I can't do
- 9:15Speaker 1: anything to help them, UM on the field. Uh, there's
- 9:18Speaker 1: there's things you can do in the locker room to
- 9:20Speaker 1: keep the guys encouraged, to keep the guys going motivated. UM,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you know, but it sucks as a competitor. I want
- 9:27Speaker 1: to be out there with the guys. I want to
- 9:28Speaker 1: be able to go out there and uh, you know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: help our guys win games. And that that was a
- 9:35Speaker 1: you know, that's a terrible feeling that Uh I could
- 9:38Speaker 1: only watch from the sideline. A plot to unpack from
- 9:42Speaker 1: that presser there. Cam Wolfe Live with Us Now from
- 9:45Speaker 1: Miami was in the room when TWA for the first
- 9:47Speaker 1: time opened up. Cam said he remembers everything up to
- 9:50Speaker 1: that night, or up to the hit in Cincinnati. Um
- 9:54Speaker 1: doesn't remember the hit, kind of remembers the ambulance ride.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But but but says he still wants to go out
- 10:00Speaker 1: there and still wants to play football. Um, he's not worried,
- 10:03Speaker 1: but his parents are kind of worried. Andrew to a
- 10:05Speaker 1: ton of Valois said, essentially, he's learned more about the
- 10:08Speaker 1: concussion protocol over the last two or three weeks than
- 10:10Speaker 1: maybe any of us will know, and he feels comfortable
- 10:14Speaker 1: returning to the field. But Yeah, hearing him talk about
- 10:16Speaker 1: not remembering being able to be hit, remembering some parts
- 10:20Speaker 1: of the ambulance just kind of brought back how scary
- 10:23Speaker 1: that moment was for him. But it seems like the
- 10:25Speaker 1: Dolphins and two have done everything to get him back
- 10:28Speaker 1: on the field. It will be three and a half
- 10:29Speaker 1: weeks removed from that concussion when he's on the field Sunday,
- 10:33Speaker 1: assuming all goes well. And I just left the practice
- 10:35Speaker 1: field a few minutes ago and look to it was
- 10:38Speaker 1: out there maybe two minutes of stretching and he immediately
- 10:41Speaker 1: grabs a football wanted to throw the ball to his coaches.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Later on in practice, he went to about thirty five
- 10:46Speaker 1: the forty yard throws to Mike Casicky. You can hear
- 10:48Speaker 1: him choke chirping back and forth about his throws, how
- 10:51Speaker 1: Mike the Sicky is catching it, how the coaches are interacting,
- 10:54Speaker 1: And Mike McDaniel said it earlier today, the incredible aura
- 10:58Speaker 1: that too has on this team. You can tell from
- 11:00Speaker 1: talking to players inside the building and on the field
- 11:04Speaker 1: just what it's gonna mean for them to have their
- 11:06Speaker 1: starting quarterback back on the field. They were three and
- 11:09Speaker 1: oh when he started and finished games. Now they're on
- 11:11Speaker 1: a three game losing streak. And Tyreek mentioned in the
- 11:13Speaker 1: locker room that he is our leader, he's our captain.
- 11:16Speaker 1: We're excited to have him back. I mentioned it earlier
- 11:19Speaker 1: this week. The guys on the team they call him Goose,
- 11:21Speaker 1: which means brother in some mooing. And so this is
- 11:24Speaker 1: a guy who's opened up himself to his players. He's
- 11:27Speaker 1: more vocal, he's that leader. He's been that while he's out,
- 11:30Speaker 1: and now they get him back on the field. And
- 11:32Speaker 1: even when you were watching on the practice field, when
- 11:35Speaker 1: I was watching on the practice field, today, you notice
- 11:37Speaker 1: just little things. Guys coming up to him, smacking him
- 11:39Speaker 1: on his hip, joking with them, coaches making a comment
- 11:43Speaker 1: to him, him yelling out to a player across the field,
- 11:46Speaker 1: this is his team. And now the Dolphins hope they
- 11:48Speaker 1: get back to how they were on the start of
- 11:50Speaker 1: the season now that their quarterback is expected to return Sunday.
- 11:53Speaker 1: A lot to unpack from that press conference to it.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Says he may have to change the way he plays.
- 11:57Speaker 1: He's not wanted to throw the ball away. May have
- 11:59Speaker 1: to learn to do that a little bit better. Also,
- 12:02Speaker 1: very grateful for the neighborhood where he lives, said a
- 12:05Speaker 1: lot of kids brought him baked good and candies and
- 12:07Speaker 1: maybe you know, drew him get well cards at school.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Thought that was very cool, and grateful for the support
- 12:12Speaker 1: from those around him there in South Florida. Cam Wolf,
- 12:15Speaker 1: they're ahead of the Dolphins and the Steelers. Thank you, Cam. Now,
- 12:18Speaker 1: of course we're gonna be in Jacksonville this week as
- 12:20Speaker 1: well for the Giants and the Jaguars. But coming up
- 12:23Speaker 1: next we are live in Jersey. Sa Kwan's playing well.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Cavon Thibodeaux is pressuring the quarterback, but is anyone else healthy,
- 12:31Speaker 1: that's next. Oh I got the New York Giants or
- 12:39Speaker 1: five and one, partly because this guy has been ridiculous.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Sa Kwan Barkley leads to the NFL in yards from scrimmage.
- 12:46Speaker 1: He is only thirty three yards behind Nick Chubb for
- 12:50Speaker 1: the rushing lead. He is a huge part of the
- 12:54Speaker 1: emphasis this week in Jacksonville and Doug Peterson, you know
- 12:59Speaker 1: we need all hands on deck. I watched this guy
- 13:02Speaker 1: for you know, many years, run all over us, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: you know, he's one of those backs where it's like
- 13:08Speaker 1: you get two, you get three, you get one lost
- 13:11Speaker 1: maybe a lost artist place, and then bang, he'll hit
- 13:13Speaker 1: you for fifty. I mean that's just the type of
- 13:16Speaker 1: back he is. He's a he's an explosive running back. Um,
- 13:20Speaker 1: he's a downhill guy. He's got speed to circle the defense.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I mean, he's just a complete guy. Then you're seeing him,
- 13:26Speaker 1: you know, out of the backfield to make make plays there. Yep,
- 13:29Speaker 1: he's the guy you thought you were getting when you
- 13:31Speaker 1: took him in twenty eighteen. He's back to form, which
- 13:33Speaker 1: is great to see. Tom Pilo Sero at the Giants today.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Jaguar Bucky by Jaguars Radio for those who don't know
- 13:40Speaker 1: with us as well, Um Kuan is not a one
- 13:43Speaker 1: man band, Tom and it would be great to get
- 13:46Speaker 1: some other offensive pieces healthy. Are they anywhere close to
- 13:50Speaker 1: seeing that? Later, Let's start with se Kwon Barkley, who
- 13:53Speaker 1: did drop out of that game very briefly last week
- 13:56Speaker 1: against the Ravens, got slammed down on the same shoulder
- 13:59Speaker 1: that he had tweaked in London. Coach Brian Dable was
- 14:02Speaker 1: asked today did Barkley need any further tests on the shoulder.
- 14:05Speaker 1: They both said nope. He was asked, is this going
- 14:08Speaker 1: to give you any precautions here about giving him a
- 14:10Speaker 1: full workload? He said nope. So it does sound like
- 14:13Speaker 1: Barkley going to be full go coming up this week
- 14:15Speaker 1: against the Jaguars. As for some of those other guys
- 14:18Speaker 1: who have been out, particularly at the wide receiver position,
- 14:20Speaker 1: no signs today at least that there's going to be
- 14:23Speaker 1: reinforcements coming this week. Kenny Golladay once again not practicing,
- 14:27Speaker 1: Candarius Tony also not practicing. My understanding is Tony is
- 14:31Speaker 1: actually getting closer than Golladay is to returning to the lineup,
- 14:35Speaker 1: So worth monitoring Tony here over these next couple of days.
- 14:38Speaker 1: He is somebody they envisioned and being a pretty big
- 14:40Speaker 1: part of this offense. And this game is really interesting
- 14:43Speaker 1: on so many levels. Buck He thought the Jaguars are
- 14:45Speaker 1: going to close it out last week, obviously they could
- 14:47Speaker 1: not make the plays in the fourth quarter. What's the
- 14:50Speaker 1: key for them this week? They're back at home against
- 14:53Speaker 1: an upstart Giants team at five and one. No, this
- 14:56Speaker 1: is a great test for the Jaguars because the Jaguars
- 14:59Speaker 1: are in the process of trying to learn how to win.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Doug Peterson has talked to the team about you gotta
- 15:04Speaker 1: do the little things before you can win consistently, meaning
- 15:07Speaker 1: you have to avoid the self inflicted errors that have
- 15:09Speaker 1: shown up, the penalties, the turnovers, the inability to make
- 15:13Speaker 1: the plays on fourth down and in the red zone.
- 15:16Speaker 1: And so it has little to do about the Jats
- 15:18Speaker 1: and what they do, because they respect them as a
- 15:20Speaker 1: formidable squad. But it's about getting the Jaguars to play
- 15:23Speaker 1: to the standard, meaning that you do the little things
- 15:26Speaker 1: right in those key moments and you have success. And
- 15:28Speaker 1: the final part of that is your stars have to
- 15:30Speaker 1: play like stars in the fourth quarter. Can their guys
- 15:33Speaker 1: step up and make the plays that are there to
- 15:35Speaker 1: be made when they need to make that had to
- 15:37Speaker 1: leave and then couldn't get off the field, and Matt
- 15:39Speaker 1: Ryan to put together an amazing day, broke all kinds
- 15:41Speaker 1: in Indianapolis, records, throws that touchdown in Bam. The Colts
- 15:45Speaker 1: were a winner. Jaguars back at home trying to regroup
- 15:47Speaker 1: against the Giants this week. Thank you Tom, Thank you Bucky.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Would you believe, oh, by the way, that the Giants,
- 15:54Speaker 1: even at five and wand record and the DraftKings here
- 15:57Speaker 1: are underdogs? Nick Shook here after our underdog Guardians could
- 16:02Speaker 1: not pull it off against the Yankees. Nick talks and
- 16:04Speaker 1: writes about the underdog every single week. Uh, you kind
- 16:07Speaker 1: of like the Giants as a road underdog this week, Nick,
- 16:13Speaker 1: Every Giant's game manager this season has ended in a
- 16:15Speaker 1: difference of one possession their three and one in games
- 16:19Speaker 1: in which they trailed by ten plus points. This team
- 16:21Speaker 1: knows how to come back and win games, and they
- 16:23Speaker 1: do it in unlikely fashion. Often. You look at the
- 16:26Speaker 1: Ravens game last week, getting a turnover, producing points out
- 16:28Speaker 1: of that in a game and once their offense was
- 16:30Speaker 1: not moving the football, Well, I don't even care that
- 16:32Speaker 1: they're playing against the Jaguars defense that's pretty good against
- 16:35Speaker 1: the run, in fact, the third best defense against the
- 16:37Speaker 1: run in the league. Because while c kwon, Barkley is
- 16:39Speaker 1: a huge part of that offense, and I expect him
- 16:41Speaker 1: to continue to be. They've shown me that, Look, it
- 16:44Speaker 1: doesn't matter if we're trailing by ten plus, it doesn't
- 16:46Speaker 1: matter if we're down by just three, it doesn't matter
- 16:49Speaker 1: if for offense isn't rolling. We know how to go
- 16:50Speaker 1: win these games. The last time they won three games
- 16:53Speaker 1: in which they trailed by ten or more points two
- 16:55Speaker 1: thousand seven and two thousand eleven, they won the Super
- 16:57Speaker 1: Bowl both here. So I like him in this week. Okay,
- 17:00Speaker 1: the other New York team one finding success surprisingly here
- 17:03Speaker 1: for a lot of people. Four and to The New
- 17:04Speaker 1: York Jets are undefeated on the road. They are a
- 17:08Speaker 1: half point underdog as it stands now. Russell Wilson's shoulder
- 17:12Speaker 1: is and hamstring is certainly an issue here. Why do
- 17:16Speaker 1: you like the Jets? Well, healthy Russell or not. I
- 17:20Speaker 1: don't have a lot of confidence in this Broncos offense
- 17:22Speaker 1: because they've shown me this entire season that they cannot score.
- 17:25Speaker 1: They're one of the worst teams in the league when
- 17:27Speaker 1: it comes to scoring offensively, and the Jets on the
- 17:30Speaker 1: other side, are playing very complimentary football. They're rising from
- 17:34Speaker 1: what we expected to be another, you know, disappointing season
- 17:37Speaker 1: for them. All of a sudden, they're looking like they're
- 17:38Speaker 1: for real. They've got too emphatic wins in the last
- 17:40Speaker 1: two weeks. They turned a close game against the Dolphins
- 17:42Speaker 1: into a blot, then they stifle the Packers and win
- 17:44Speaker 1: by seventeen at lambeau Field. Their young cast of players
- 17:47Speaker 1: are all playing really well, Soce Gardner, DJ Reid, Jermaine Johnson,
- 17:51Speaker 1: who is likely going to miss this game, and Quinn
- 17:53Speaker 1: and Williams all playing really well on the defensive side
- 17:55Speaker 1: of the football. So you combine that with the Broncos
- 17:58Speaker 1: struggling offense, the Jets are just playing better football. I
- 18:00Speaker 1: got them in that one, yeah, and three and all
- 18:02Speaker 1: on the road. For the first time in twelve years,
- 18:05Speaker 1: there's only one nick game on the Week seven schedule
- 18:08Speaker 1: between two teams that right now have winning records. It's
- 18:11Speaker 1: the Colts, who, according to Draft Kings, are underdogs on
- 18:14Speaker 1: the road here in Nashville. What do you like about
- 18:17Speaker 1: the Colts? I don't have as much confidence in the
- 18:20Speaker 1: Colts as in the New York teams, just because they've
- 18:22Speaker 1: been very up and down offensively. Statistically, they've been good passing,
- 18:25Speaker 1: they have not been good at putting points on the board,
- 18:27Speaker 1: kind of like the Broncos. But this matchup tends to
- 18:29Speaker 1: be a little strange. It's between division rivals. Often it's
- 18:32Speaker 1: decided the division at the end of the season, and
- 18:35Speaker 1: the Colts might get Jonathan Taylor back this week. By
- 18:37Speaker 1: the way, they've won their last few games without him,
- 18:39Speaker 1: so you add him into the mix and I'm feeling
- 18:41Speaker 1: a little bit better. I'm also feeling good about their
- 18:42Speaker 1: offensive line. It seems like after shuffling around for a
- 18:44Speaker 1: few weeks, they found a good group that I think
- 18:47Speaker 1: is going to make a difference. And their defense is
- 18:49Speaker 1: quietly playing really good football. Derrick Henry had a slow
- 18:52Speaker 1: start of the season. He's had back to back a
- 18:53Speaker 1: hundred plus yard games. He's always been a factor in
- 18:56Speaker 1: these matchups and I expect him to be the same.
- 18:58Speaker 1: But if the Colts can kind of continue to bring
- 19:00Speaker 1: that offense upward with that offensive line and with Jonathan
- 19:03Speaker 1: Taylor coming back, potentially, I like that coming up next.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Oh Yeah, pretty good game in San Francisco this Sunday,
- 19:11Speaker 1: Chiefs Niners. The laces on that one. It's week seven.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Oh the look, but he's gonna score. Oh my goodness,
- 19:35Speaker 1: that's how you do it. Bing bang boon tra kwon
- 19:38Speaker 1: the b off hims out. It's picked up by my
- 19:40Speaker 1: remembering dot down here, touchdown to tok. Taste of TV.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever seen, but players entertaining? Is
- 19:49Speaker 1: that that is picked off? Yes, picking on the prom kid.
- 19:54Speaker 1: It's gonna sling him down the carts win. The full
- 20:00Speaker 1: game Week seven begins tomorrow on Prime Video. It's the Saints,
- 20:06Speaker 1: It's the Cardinals, two teams that have combined for only
- 20:09Speaker 1: four wins. But what if I told you they are
- 20:13Speaker 1: both only one game back in the win column from
- 20:17Speaker 1: first and their respective divisions. The NFC South from the
- 20:20Speaker 1: NFC West. Omar ruise with us live now from Arizonta.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Talking a little bit here about the Cardinals, and the
- 20:26Speaker 1: one topic they're talking a lot about there in Phoenix
- 20:29Speaker 1: is getting DeAndre Hopkins back finally, Omar, the first time
- 20:33Speaker 1: we have seen him on the field since December a
- 20:36Speaker 1: year ago. Yeah, certainly a jolt in that locker room
- 20:40Speaker 1: on the practice field, in the entire organization. DeAndre Hopkins
- 20:45Speaker 1: has returned and he couldn't be more excited to be
- 20:48Speaker 1: part of this team once again. Cliff Kingsbury says he
- 20:51Speaker 1: doesn't have to be the savior for this organization, but
- 20:54Speaker 1: they certainly can use them to find whatever is bothering
- 20:57Speaker 1: them on offense. They can't pinpoint it. There's no specific answers.
- 21:01Speaker 1: If they had the answers, they'd know it. DeAndre Hopkins,
- 21:04Speaker 1: for his credit, says he knows he is still one
- 21:07Speaker 1: of the best receivers in football. He says he has
- 21:09Speaker 1: no anxiousness to prove himself. He said it might be
- 21:12Speaker 1: a little more nervousness on opposing defenses preparing preparing for
- 21:16Speaker 1: this Cardinals offense now offense that has been anything but scary.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Kyler Murray says they've got to be better situationally, the
- 21:23Speaker 1: twenty eight in the league in third down offense. He
- 21:26Speaker 1: says they're spreading the football around. They have uh tied
- 21:30Speaker 1: for the league lead in the NFL with six players
- 21:33Speaker 1: that have twenty or more targets, so they're just shooting
- 21:35Speaker 1: themselves in the foot. Cliff Kingsbury saying he is open
- 21:38Speaker 1: to giving a play calling. Uh, it's gotten to that point, Andrew,
- 21:42Speaker 1: where they're searching for answers. They're hoping DeAndre Hopkins provides
- 21:45Speaker 1: a big one tomorrow night against the Saints. The Saints
- 21:47Speaker 1: are also kind of searching for answers Omar as to
- 21:49Speaker 1: who's going to be available. You know, Jamis has been
- 21:53Speaker 1: out a couple of weeks. Andy Dalton has filled in,
- 21:54Speaker 1: but they've had so many injuries at wide receiver, whether
- 21:57Speaker 1: it's Thomas or Landry or a LaVey, They've had to
- 22:00Speaker 1: rely a lot, understandably on the run game. They ran
- 22:03Speaker 1: it more than thirty times last week. It seems like
- 22:06Speaker 1: they've found their identity in that run game the last
- 22:08Speaker 1: few weeks with Andy Dalton at quarterback. These last three games,
- 22:12Speaker 1: they have led the league in rushing. Taysom Hill and
- 22:15Speaker 1: his monster game against Seattle big part of that. Alvin
- 22:18Speaker 1: Kamara has found his footing, averaging better than a hundred
- 22:21Speaker 1: yards on the ground the last couple of games since
- 22:24Speaker 1: he's returned from injury. Andy Dalton in at quarterback now
- 22:28Speaker 1: is turning the ball over fewer, has taken less sacks
- 22:31Speaker 1: than Jamis Winston did earlier. But it still hasn't translated
- 22:34Speaker 1: to the winds that they obviously like to see. Their
- 22:37Speaker 1: record under jamis the record under Dalton still the same
- 22:40Speaker 1: at one and two gets to that too and four
- 22:42Speaker 1: mark Andy Dalton saying they have to do a better
- 22:45Speaker 1: job in the red zone scoring touchdowns. He felt that
- 22:48Speaker 1: was the victim of circumstance against the Bengals. They got
- 22:51Speaker 1: off to the big lead. They led most of the game,
- 22:53Speaker 1: but after those two touchdowns early will Lutz four field
- 22:57Speaker 1: goals after that, he said, that's what costs them against
- 23:00Speaker 1: the Bengals. Are looking to get into the end zone
- 23:02Speaker 1: a little more frequently. And Chris Olive will be back
- 23:05Speaker 1: tomorrow night. He has been cleared from the concussion protocol.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry Saints are on the
- 23:10Speaker 1: field as we speak, but the last two days they
- 23:12Speaker 1: have not been a part of those simulated practice all right,
- 23:15Speaker 1: So great to get a Lave back. Also good certainly
- 23:18Speaker 1: to get DeAndre Hopkins back from his six games suspension
- 23:21Speaker 1: for p e D s violating that policy. The p
- 23:24Speaker 1: D policy that is thank you Amrui's live in Arizona.
- 23:28Speaker 1: There are four games in the four pm Eastern time
- 23:30Speaker 1: window coming up on Sunday, Perhaps none more attractive than
- 23:33Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco forty Niners.
- 23:36Speaker 1: The number one scoring offense and the number one total defense.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Is this more though, than the Mahomes and Kelsey show.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Bucky Brooks with US now once again on NFL Now
- 23:48Speaker 1: kind of felt like it last week, Bucky. You know,
- 23:51Speaker 1: Juju got into it and VS made some plays as well.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Is this still a one man band? No, that's not
- 23:57Speaker 1: a one man band. I don't think they wanted to
- 23:59Speaker 1: be a one man band. I think they would like
- 24:01Speaker 1: to have Travis Kelsey obviously in the lead role, but
- 24:03Speaker 1: they want some of these other guys to step up.
- 24:05Speaker 1: You talking about ju Ju Smith Schuster who had a
- 24:07Speaker 1: hundred yard game a week ago, MBS being able to
- 24:10Speaker 1: contribute maybe as a big play specialist, being able to
- 24:13Speaker 1: also use the running backs as a part of the
- 24:15Speaker 1: passing game, but also running the football. This should not
- 24:19Speaker 1: be one where you just have one person doing the
- 24:21Speaker 1: heavy lifting. You want to balance it out, and I've
- 24:24Speaker 1: said that after Tyreek Hill's departure, this should allow Patrick
- 24:28Speaker 1: Mahomes to grow into being a complete quarterback. The evolution
- 24:31Speaker 1: have been playing quarterback within the system. That really makes
- 24:34Speaker 1: it easy for playmakers to step up and have opportunities
- 24:38Speaker 1: is is incumbent upon Patrick Mahomes to trust the other guys,
- 24:42Speaker 1: Let those guys go to work, and then those guys
- 24:44Speaker 1: have to deliver the results. Bucky. On the other side
- 24:46Speaker 1: of things, we know that Nighters have a great defense statistically.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Obviously they passed the eye test. But last week was
- 24:50Speaker 1: a really bad week to face what Arthur Smith is
- 24:52Speaker 1: doing on the ground considering all the bodies that were out.
- 24:55Speaker 1: No Bosa, no kin Law, no Armstead. I mean, this
- 24:57Speaker 1: entire defense here is banged up. Are you concerned considering
- 25:02Speaker 1: the injuries despite the talent obviously that is still there
- 25:06Speaker 1: this week for that defense, I absolutely am concerned because
- 25:09Speaker 1: anytime you give up over a hundred and fifty yards
- 25:11Speaker 1: on the ground, uh, the next opponent is going to
- 25:14Speaker 1: copy the formula and see if you fix the issues.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And so if you don't get any of those bodies back,
- 25:19Speaker 1: I would expect the kN City Chiefs to at least
- 25:21Speaker 1: test the running game. That's not their m O. They
- 25:23Speaker 1: don't want to necessarily be a ground and pound team,
- 25:25Speaker 1: but if you put that weakness on tape. They absolutely
- 25:28Speaker 1: should exploit it so early in the game to San Francisco,
- 25:31Speaker 1: forty Niners are going to have to show the Kann
- 25:33Speaker 1: City Chiefs. Then they resolved their running game bols because
- 25:36Speaker 1: if not, you can get a heavy dose so the
- 25:38Speaker 1: running game, and if you can't stop the run, then
- 25:40Speaker 1: that's going to open up more big plays in the
- 25:42Speaker 1: passing game. Because a lot of people like to defend
- 25:45Speaker 1: the Kann City Chiefs playing too deep coverage, make sure
- 25:47Speaker 1: to take away the big ball. But if the Chief's
- 25:49Speaker 1: able to run the game, it changes the equation. It
- 25:52Speaker 1: changes the way Damiko Ryans has to defend the kan
- 25:54Speaker 1: c the Chiefs. The forty nine is have to stop
- 25:56Speaker 1: the running game. So it's not an issue. It is
- 25:58Speaker 1: a super Bowl rematch of sorts if we like this.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Obviously not the same teams. I mean the Panthers and
- 26:04Speaker 1: the Rams were Super Bowl rematch last last week. We're
- 26:06Speaker 1: not a super Bowl rematched on this book. There you
- 26:08Speaker 1: get my point. We see one every week. Uh this
- 26:10Speaker 1: week it's this one time for one more thing before
- 26:14Speaker 1: we go. TRT one fifteen, Garret full will go first
- 26:18Speaker 1: eagle center, Jason Kelsey, Lane Johnson his Linemate as well
- 26:21Speaker 1: as Jordan made a lot of the unmasked singer. They
- 26:24Speaker 1: are releasing a Christmas album produced by Charlie Hall, the
- 26:28Speaker 1: drummer of War on Drugs. I Love Them. They're from
- 26:30Speaker 1: Philly and Connor Barwin, the former Eagle. He executive produced.
- 26:33Speaker 1: It proceeds benefiting the Philadelphia Children's Crisis Treatment Center. There's
- 26:38Speaker 1: a baby Please Come Home Darlene love song on there.
- 26:41Speaker 1: There's also Merril Reaese, the voice of the Eagles, reciting
- 26:44Speaker 1: the Night Before Christmas, which I imagine is Merry Christmas
- 26:47Speaker 1: to all and to all the night. There also seemed
- 26:52Speaker 1: to be alcohol in the making of that album. Okay,
- 26:54Speaker 1: Dale's one more thing. I don't know how to follow that,
- 26:58Speaker 1: but I will try to follow it with a man
- 27:00Speaker 1: of strength, an iron man if you will, a safety
- 27:03Speaker 1: we all know and love X Savior McKinney. Folks hasn't
- 27:07Speaker 1: missed a defensive snap since Week three of last season one,
- 27:12Speaker 1: that is twelve, and he retweeted that, and he wrote
- 27:15Speaker 1: on his retweet, my sanctuary. He's one of the best.
- 27:18Speaker 1: The Giants are five and one. Hello, Hello, Hey, careful
