- 1:26[SPEAKER_26]: When you look at the evidence, one factor is that this is likely being shipped from an area that's endemic with this parasite, the warmer temperatures allow it to survive on that transport.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_26]: And that lands on our dinner tables.

- 4:56[SPEAKER_14]: Well, good afternoon.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_14]: What an all-I am Jeff Graham on the hotline?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_14]: Ah, hot day.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_14]: It's a hot Tuesday here in the North Country, and up.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_14]: good day to stay out in the breeze, but in the shade, baby, in the shade, or go into the air conditioning, he says, don't take any chances in this kind of weather, you know, you can be overcome.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_14]: None of us are no one's above the lawn, no one's above the weather either, or I help this you.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_14]: So that's a good thing.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_14]: So we've got lots of things in the news today.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_14]: I was just watching Channel 7 of the North Country's window on the world.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_14]: Of course, the
- 5:33[SPEAKER_14]: So if you want to see Jeff Cole, you can.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_14]: Um, yeah, whatever it is, it's that longest running fair and captivity.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_14]: So we're at Crafine Street for those who don't know within the sound of my voice.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_14]: And you can check it out if you want to wait a little evening when it's a little cooler that's not understandable.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_10]: But I guess the rides are open and everything else, so boom.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_14]: Now, what else we got going on, it was an announcement on Channel 7 that Watertown's police chief Charles Donahue is retiring at the end of the month after 33 years in the Watertown Police Department.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_14]: Well, we wish him well in retirement, was that begs the question, who's the next chief
- 6:29[SPEAKER_14]: know you don't like to hear it because you take it personally.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_11]: Well what's it matter, you can run the department by remote, you know, you gotta be part of the community.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_14]: So we're going to report another out of talent person, I think she's, I don't know what she lives, I do send her somewhere.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_14]: And I hear nothing but good things about the captain.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_14]: Smart, you know,
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: All of that stuff.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_14]: But it's just something I feel strongly about.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_14]: You know, something happens.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I pointed the instance last summer that tragic accident in the park with the lady was killed after the speed bump.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not getting into the recommendations on that.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_14]: But there was nothing in terms of there was somebody was killed
- 7:26[SPEAKER_14]: And in fact, I'm saddening by Monday, they still haven't put out a press release on it.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_14]: And you can say they don't have to, and they don't.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_14]: But I want somebody who's part of the community.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_14]: And we're not going to get that.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_14]: So I wish the new Captain Well and the job is cheap.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_14]: I'm sure she will be appointed.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_14]: My opinion.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_14]: And of course, we don't have any say in that.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_14]: And we've relinquished all control under this form of government to the city manager.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_14]: 755, 1240, the font.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_14]: It's, it's the Northside pool closed today.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_14]: I know they would, gonna have them closed Tuesday and Thursday as a budget saving measure.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_14]: But somehow having the pool closed on the hottest day of the year doesn't seem like a good idea.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_14]: You tell me in my run, is it closed if I'm wrong, I'll apologize on the air, but holy cow, you know, even if you have that crazy policy.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_14]: Sometimes you have to be able to react in real time.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_14]: Remember when,
- 8:27[SPEAKER_14]: fought fall and early winter of to that nineteen forty four in general patten was uh... head of i think the third army was down in the southern germany and all of a sudden the Germans rolled across in the aridans and the battle of the ballads was on and very nimble yeah very nimble the general moved his troops patented and uh... got him going up north and liberated boston
- 8:56[SPEAKER_14]: That's what you have to do.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_14]: That's when the good military person does, but he's been the forecast came down to hottest day of the year.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_14]: He was not Tuesday and our pool was closed.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know as I'd sit there and do nothing.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_14]: But I don't want to be overly critical.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_14]: I see where our cliff holding.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_14]: Remember him?
- 9:13[SPEAKER_14]: Remember him?
- 9:14[SPEAKER_14]: He's banned from everywhere.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_14]: But remember him?
- 9:17[SPEAKER_14]: He put out a statement the other day saying he regrets his votes.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_14]: on hiring the manager and getting rid of emergency requirements and all of that.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_10]: Well, nice time to tell us, Cliff.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_10]: Come on, man.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_14]: You were busy defending that.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, the boarder doesn't mean anything.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_14]: Talent doesn't stop at the boarders and all of that.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_14]: We don't want to hear your stuff now.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_14]: Anyway.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_14]: We could afford to have the pool open every day, friends, spend all that money trying to put Cliff only in jail.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_14]: 755-1240 is the phone number if it'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_14]: And we'll put you on the air.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_14]: You know these ice shootings, one in Houston, one in the main.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_14]: I guess they've changed their policy on pulling people over.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know why.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_14]: A lot of these people are provocateurs and all of that stuff and I get that.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_14]: I get that.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_14]: But you shouldn't get killed in a traffic stop even if you try to get away.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, you don't just just know who are these people and worse, or judgment, and you know, I think we get a good job closing the board of the rest of these people, we're trying to round him up there here, they're here.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_14]: Well, let's see.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_14]: here's the press release on the dot of the retirement uh... well you can see them in years i hope he's doing uh... but anyways got a long list of things but like anything he's gone now you look ahead so who's the next now that's everything
- 11:20[SPEAKER_14]: I don't forget, oh, this is where you had September 20th, I could even mention that, press release on it, but thanks for sending.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_14]: It's a suicide prevention box on December 20th.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_14]: Clayton volunteer fired up her, good for them for holding, good event.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_14]: uh... seven five five uh... twelve forty the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on a show of shows today uh... story in the news area but the audience works city manager putting out a pre- their budget comes out knocked over something he's already uh... sending out the parameters on a good for him but uh... and of course the maple city
- 12:05[SPEAKER_14]: they got high taxes and a lot of problems so I feel sorry for them couple fair workers county fair workers fell in the black river overnight they got rescue thank god yes the fair is open today i said it earlier in the show i you know i don't even have a press release or uh... or a schedule in front of me but
- 12:27[SPEAKER_14]: the way it's done here.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_14]: They got their interview with Channel 7 on with Mr. Cole and that's their public relation and that'll work well.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_14]: That'll get the people out.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_14]: But we have a hidden audience out there.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_14]: We have a lot of people listening who don't like to admit they listen to that line.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_14]: You know, the ones who call and say, well, I didn't hear, I don't listen to your show, but I heard you said this.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_14]: You know, those people.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_14]: But after you're on the air,
- 12:55[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, Jeff, I'm glad you had those comments about ice and the incident over in Maine.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_05]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_13]: This, this, this really needs a lot of public discussion for a number of reasons.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_13]: I'd like to just go down this a little bit here.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_13]: You know, ice last year got a hundred billion dollar budget and it was added this year, just added to it, 70 billion more, and these still don't have body camps.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_13]: It's still wearing masks.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, they had body cam.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_14]: They said, no, I don't wait a minute.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_14]: They had body cams for the milliesmith thing and they won't show them to you.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_14]: So I don't, I'm not impressed by that.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_13]: Well, I'm just saying the police normally, in most cases, across country, in all districts who would have had body cams.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_13]: Sometimes they don't work or hear, but they've got them.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_13]: I just don't even have them.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_13]: Now, what did they do as 170 billion dollars?
- 13:50[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_13]: Check out, secondly, they still wearing masks, they don't identify themselves, they have more rest, they go to people's houses without warrants, sometimes partying in their house.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_13]: And they have a quota set to keep order to obtain, export or deport what you want to call people that was set by Stephen Miller, who is on the White House, that was just bad.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_13]: I said a quarter of 10,000 a week or a month or something like that, I feel it is month or a week.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_14]: Here's the problem now.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_14]: It's sad.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_13]: It's sad.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_13]: It's sad.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_13]: It's sad.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_13]: and he wants to have ice agents go to different localities to monitor people going into the sea.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_13]: That's illegal.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not in favor of that, but you know it's a funny thing, it's tragic as these two shootings and killings were, and it's tragic as the previous were two in Minneapolis.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_14]: We'll have more than that killed this weekend in Chicago, including, you know, people of color, kids and everything else.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_14]: your side doesn't care about that.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_14]: And that's the, that's what bothers me.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_14]: The lack of equivalency among tragedy.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_14]: It's bad the guy was killed in Bitterford, Maine.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_14]: And it was bad the guy was killed in Houston.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_14]: And I'll say that.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_14]: But you say nothing about the little children killed in Chicago, a little black kid under under front porch or something.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_14]: Takes a bullet and you don't care.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_13]: Don't, don't, don't say that.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_13]: Let me tell you how much I do care.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_13]: That issue.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_13]: of guns in school.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_14]: No, don't play.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_14]: The mayor blames Indiana for selling guns.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_14]: No, it's the people.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_14]: The guns aren't killing them.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_14]: The people are.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_13]: It's that's right.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_13]: The people lost those probably.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know all the cases because I'm not investigating.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_13]: Obviously, probably have illegal guns or a purpose to use the gun.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_13]: I don't care.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_13]: Don't go.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_13]: Don't say I don't.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_14]: I don't care if the gun's quote illegal or not.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_14]: I could have an illegal gun in my head.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_14]: That just means I'm going to go kill somebody.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_14]: I'm going to grab poor woman from my sister county I think it was a college student shot in the head while I'm looking at the Aurora Borealis.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_14]: Did you care about her?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_14]: You care about her more than a guy in Bitterford, Maine?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_13]: I don't care about people getting shot.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, I spent two years in combat don't tell me about get people shot okay.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_13]: Okay.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_13]: I don't want to hear that I don't want to hear that crap from you.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_13]: I know where to get in shot.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_13]: I was losing three times myself to be an option.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_13]: So just crap you'll still let shit out their own Don't throw that crap out of the table saying I don't care about people getting shot.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I don't know.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_14]: I just had it.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_14]: I don't can't use that language I look what happened to the whole thing.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_13]: I'm sorry that slipped out and it was a moment of anger in man anger
- 17:01[SPEAKER_14]: Well, no, I'm just trying to draw the equivalency here.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, I mean, on people getting killed, I feel bad about people, your field bad about it.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_14]: I also feel bad about other people.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_14]: But the left doesn't feel bad about the people in Chicago or the people elsewhere.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_14]: They don't care about those people.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_13]: A lot I care about.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_13]: I care about anybody killed that necessarily like that.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_13]: One final note, what do you think I should be able to come to water down and go to the polling places in monitor?
- 17:28[SPEAKER_14]: No, I don't.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_14]: I don't agree with this crap.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_14]: No, I don't.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_13]: But that's why I want you to discuss it more with the callers that call in, see why they don't want to discuss this.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_13]: This is a national serious issue.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_14]: Well, they don't care about the angry man, not finding a bathroom in the park.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, I agree with him on most of the things that he says, and I wish he wouldn't get so hyperboid as he seems like a pretty nice guy overall.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_13]: He's knowledgeable.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_13]: I kind of like the guy.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_13]: I just leave it at that, and this ice is serious, serious matter, and now it's going to cross-order into the DNI using them to go into voting places and monitor people that are voting and control that.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_13]: That is illegal.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_13]: No, you can't even campaign around a voting spot.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_13]: You can't even campaign.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_13]: But there's something you go into voting.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_13]: You know that, don't you?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_14]: I know that.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_14]: I don't think it's right here.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_14]: I don't have any problem with our voting and Jefferson County.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_13]: I know you agree with it, and that's why I'm saying I hope it's
- 18:29[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not really a fan of just mailing ballots out all over the place to people who don't even want them, but as far as the voting and Jefferson County, I don't have a problem with it.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_13]: No, I think you should have to request a bail-in ballot for a ballot in reason.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_13]: I don't think it should be just in our willy-dally.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_13]: Well, that's what they do.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_13]: I agree with that.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_14]: Alright, I got a run.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_14]: I got a call, but Danny, thank you.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, thank you.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_11]: Good afternoon.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_14]: Good afternoon, Ronnier.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_11]: How you doing?
- 18:56[SPEAKER_14]: Good.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_14]: What's up?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, apparently.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_11]: Mr. Francis calls up, acting all intelligent, knowing so much about the issue with ice.

- 25:48[SPEAKER_14]: I don't really have a, I thought that was, but you know, you've got to leave his office in place for constituent work and all of that.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_14]: So I think that gets the, you know, if they put somebody in who was gonna be in the primary or something that has to be scheduled now, I don't think that'll be there.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_14]: And for those people, if she qualified, anybody listening to the sound of my voice is qualified.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_14]: Yes.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_14]: Whether we would want you, that's for voters to decide.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_14]: So anyway, oh, somebody said about these temperature things.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_14]: It's all scare climates to promote the climate agenda.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_14]: I agree with that, too.

- 27:40[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not, I don't mean to be supposing anything.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_14]: Because I don't really, it's been so long.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, it used to be, I knew a lot of the officers there.

- 28:33[SPEAKER_14]: I saw a city police car with a black officer at it.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_14]: I think it's good we got some diversity.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_14]: I don't think that's, I am not one of those people who thinks, you know, that's a bad thing.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_14]: So, as far as who's going to be next.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_14]: Well, it's a crazy process.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_14]: You've got to pass it.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_14]: There's a civil service thing and all of that.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_14]: I don't really know how that works.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_14]: But they don't really have a list of the top employees here on their website.

- 39:13[SPEAKER_14]: They're like 20 taffy and there's waffle cakes or whatever They have those are delicious.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my goodness.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I watch it sandwich.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, that's all great stuff
- 39:24[SPEAKER_14]: It's the old.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_07]: It pulls out my crowns.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_07]: You've got a $2,000 dollar crown.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_07]: You've got to watch out.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_14]: Well, you know, I remember, I hate to say this, so I was a teenager.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_14]: Used to go there.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_14]: There was more to it then.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_14]: I'll grant you that, times have changed.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_14]: But they used to have those Hoochie Koochie girls.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_14]: Remember, you probably don't remember that.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_14]: They come out on the stage.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_14]: There was a carnival barker.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, a carnival barker talking about it.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_14]: I'm a beautiful A.R.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_14]: and all that.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_14]: And then you could go back and they get a show in the tent.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_14]: That type of thing.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_14]: It wasn't high speed.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_07]: It wasn't like this little dance.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, I wasn't anything.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_07]: Did that want to talk to them?
- 40:07[SPEAKER_14]: It wasn't as good as the clock grill, but it's back when we had a little things to do here in town.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, okay.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_07]: I remember they had some weird people like you like not weird people, but like Wasn't a bearded lady or that you know a head of a man body of a snake all that.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, that was for the days Freak shows.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I can't have freak shows anymore No, no Anyways, man, I just I love the show and rock I'm and thanks a lot.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, well, thank you
- 40:43[SPEAKER_14]: One of the, one of the masses out there, the, well, he speaks up and says he likes it.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_14]: Not like the hidden listeners.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_14]: I hate to think you have to go into your closet or something to listen to the hotline.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_14]: So the other people in the office won't know.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_14]: Some people do, yeah.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_14]: 755.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_14]: Well, 40, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call, you watch in Channel 7,
- 41:11[SPEAKER_14]: is that young and restless as this lady with patches over her eyes with the whole turp.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_14]: Some of you were well, that's the guy that was on rap patrol.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_14]: It's an a German guy.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, rap patrol in color.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, those were the days to that's when television was television.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_08]: But after noon around the air, that can
- 41:35[SPEAKER_08]: makes some comments about your comments about the windshield chart and the heated advisory chart and the feel good the feel good temperature and all that crazy stuff you know I've worked outside and I've played outside my whole life I never used any of those windshield charts or what I want to know if I'm working outside or playing outside
- 42:04[SPEAKER_08]: digging a ditch or whatever it is.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_08]: I want to know what is the air temperature.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_08]: Not the field of the temperature, but the air temperature, I want to know the wind speed, and I want to know the wind direction.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_08]: Because if you're on the lease, if you're working on the lease side of a building or a mountain or in a valley, the wind is going to be all different than what they say it is on the TV.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_08]: I want to know why heights above the ground, am I going to be on a step ladder?
- 42:29[SPEAKER_08]: Or up on a roof, or am I going to be on the ground?
- 42:32[SPEAKER_08]: It all makes a big difference and you don't need a windshield temperature thing to figure that out.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_08]: Am I going to be working or playing in the shade, or am I going to be in the sun?
- 42:43[SPEAKER_08]: Is it partly cloudy or really sunny?
- 42:48[SPEAKER_08]: You know, when the sun, whether it's summer or winter, has a big influence on how you see it when you're outside.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_08]: the sun and the summer sun, they both have an effect on you.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_08]: So bottom line is I think all that stuff is just confusing and some people when they hear the feel good temperature, they don't know whether it's the real air temperature, the ambient temperature of it, or I think it adds confusion to the thing that's good.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's good.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_08]: People need to get out of their
- 43:22[SPEAKER_08]: climate control environments and spend some time outside and learn things about wind direction when speed, whether you're in the shade or in the sun or you're working up on a roof or you're working on the ground.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_08]: They all play a role.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_08]: It's different for each day, each wind direction and so on.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_08]: So those are my thoughts for the day and I'm sticking to it and I don't
- 43:48[SPEAKER_08]: any of these windshield charts or feel good charts to know what I should be doing when I'm outside what I should wear or not to go or remember.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_08]: So my thoughts and I keep up the good work there at community broadcaster.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_14]: All right, thank you so much.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_14]: All righty, yeah, I'm just trying to look and see if
- 44:15[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, this is something from something old.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_14]: Well, anyway, we don't know who the new police she's going to be.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_14]: We really don't.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_14]: You know, whoever it is, will not be living in the city.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_14]: That's, I go to say.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_14]: 755, 1240 is a phone number.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_14]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on the hotline today and put you on the air and talk about things.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_14]: all of that stuff um oh let's see what else we got going on that's not sighting calls they know radical people on there and they'd like to have a little more of that but no you're not gonna get that every day you can't have in terms of energy level the angry man is great but you can't sustain that kind of energy
- 45:14[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, uh, let's see, um, are the, uh, for it, is everybody in their pool today?
- 45:25[SPEAKER_14]: Is that what they're doing?
- 45:27[SPEAKER_14]: But after you're doing it on the air.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, on the next police city, should have delivered the city.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_14]: No, it's not gonna happen.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_04]: Right, but if you're gonna make a big salary, or the taxpayers in the city, you should have delivered the city in the same as the city manager.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_04]: and the D.P.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_04]: and W.S.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_04]: and P.P.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_04]: they all should have to live in the city if they want to take money other city taxpayers' pockets.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_04]: And the last increase of this 11 percent increase and they've been done because they got miles of sidewalks that haven't been fixed.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_04]: And they need to close the zoo up there because the city taxpayer can no longer sustain that zoo and the taxes are out of sight.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_04]: in the city of Mayor and the council all ran out being disrespectful, they're not disrespectful, they're not disrespectful, he's possible at all and have a good day, bye.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_14]: Thank you.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_14]: No doubt about it.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_14]: I was talking to somebody yesterday, you know, she's a teacher and stuff now.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_14]: You know, they're just people that have a nice home on the south side, 7,000 a year and for property taxes, only count, yeah, they can afford it, sure, we know that, but that's a lot of money.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_14]: That's a lot of Mura.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_14]: You know, most of them, you get your property tax bill and you get three of them a year and you've got to then think about how you can, why don't they just build you every month in the aggregate?
- 46:52[SPEAKER_14]: That'd be easier.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_14]: That easier for them.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_14]: But given the aversion to work in government, now of course not.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_14]: I say the same thing about sales tax and all these other things they rip you off for you.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_14]: You know, the millionaires leaving New York is cost $11 billion in tax revenues for New York City.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, that's okay.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_14]: Pick them out, yeah.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_14]: But after you do, you're on the air.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_09]: Hi, Mayor.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_09]: Hey.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_09]: Hi, afternoon out there.
- 47:22[UNKNOWN]: Listen, I just wanted to mention where the old Brownville Bridge was.
- 47:27[UNKNOWN]: The one they tore out.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_14]: Right.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_09]: place a walking bridge in there.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_09]: It's been there about a week now.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_27]: Oh, good.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_09]: They had to wait to get the excavator out.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_09]: And it goes from the one side, the other, just like the bridge.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_09]: So that's going to be kind of nice, I think.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I think that's nice.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, obviously, you know, a lot of people to get over to the convenience store and all that, I don't know why they didn't put the new bridge in there.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_09]: Make a lot of sense.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_09]: That is the other one is a little inconvenient.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, it's a beautiful bridge, but it's way up the road.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_14]: You know, most people don't know it's there.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_14]: It's alright if you're going to the airport, I guess.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, it's true.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_09]: So I just thought I'd mention that.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_14]: So the bridge you can walk across it now?
- 48:19[SPEAKER_09]: No, I don't think it's open yet.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_09]: The barricades are still up and everything.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_14]: Oh yeah, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all right, all the piles are being down there celebrating their bad decision, where the bridge should go.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_14]: 755, 1240, the phone number, I'd like to give us a call to be on the hotline today.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, Cliff is the only busy putting out.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_14]: Now we watch the downtown River Entertainment District.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_14]: He's good with the,
- 48:57[SPEAKER_14]: Hey, I pictures, where's he?
- 48:58[SPEAKER_14]: Who's he get the money for all this?
- 49:00[UNKNOWN]: No.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_14]: When are we going to meet this candidate for Attorney General?
- 49:06[SPEAKER_14]: He's running against Tish.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_14]: Sirritha, I don't know if you can't pronounce your last name.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_14]: We should come to Crosswell, smart, very smart, works as the U.S. Attorney down in Southern District.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_14]: I think, but, well, most of you people up here, you'll be voting for Tish James.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_14]: Yep.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, but what if you forward to her visiting watertight?
- 49:31[SPEAKER_14]: You either one of them does anybody come here anymore?
- 49:34[SPEAKER_14]: Used to be watertight was a must-go stop for Polaris politicians, editorial board.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_14]: There's no editorial board anymore.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_14]: There's no nothing.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_14]: There's no reason to come here.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_14]: Terrible.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_14]: What have to do there on the air?
- 49:46[SPEAKER_10]: Hey, Joe.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_10]: Hey.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_10]: Is that just called about the bridge?
- 49:50[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_10]: Well, you're not going to be able to access this.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_10]: That's only for the water and the sewer lines that are running across, so the maintenance people can access it.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_14]: I thought it was supposed to be a fuckbridge in addition to the utility lines.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_10]: No, it's just going to be their access doors to go across, so they can maintain the water lines and stuff going across there.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_14]: That's a stupid idea.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_10]: It's going to be locked on both sides.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_14]: Oh my god, what's wrong with these people?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_10]: I said I should've done what's open to, but I thought they're supposed to be doing blocking that.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_14]: Okay.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_10]: Just for access for the water and sewer line to go on a cross.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_14]: Well maybe the town supervisor, Carlos and Tom, is there a town supervisor anymore?
- 50:35[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, for the maintenance department or the town, town of Brownville.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, the mayor's pet cottage.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_14]: Is there a town supervisor?
- 50:50[SPEAKER_14]: You don't, you used to be I knew all these people.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know anybody anymore.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_14]: Okay, all right, thanks.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_14]: By now, you used to be your town supervisor.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_14]: Everybody knew it was a big deal, but I don't know what it is now.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_14]: Anyway, let's take a break, do a commercial break, and then we'll be back with more in a moment.

- 54:30[SPEAKER_17]: Depend on it.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_14]: The pendant is indeed.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_14]: A young 1240 W-A-T-N. Um... What do we got going on here?
- 54:42[SPEAKER_14]: There's a headline city school district hires fully, you know, to ensure that they hired another executive principle or something.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_14]: I'm stuck in a couple of veterans of local teaching.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, good people, friends of mine.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_14]: I'm not a high teacher, but even they were agreeing that it's crazy what's going on.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_14]: All of these, uh, you know, they have a superintendent that five deputy superintendents and executive principle and then principles.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, how much can we afford?
- 55:09[SPEAKER_14]: You say, well, they're the professionals.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_14]: They're the professionals.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_14]: How much can we afford?
- 55:15[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, you people who are paying 7,000 a year in property taxes on the south side.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_14]: How much can you afford?
- 55:27[SPEAKER_14]: You just got to wonder, and it's not that you don't like these people or respect them, or, but like I said, there was a situation in Syracuse.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_14]: That's about 70 miles to the south.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_14]: If they have a city school district, the number 3 person in the department earning $216,000 a year and they discover she lived in Maryland.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_14]: Well, what's that, man?
- 55:48[SPEAKER_14]: Or do you still mean anything?
- 55:51[SPEAKER_14]: Come on, knock it off.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_14]: We can't afford this crap any longer.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_14]: And, you know, at some point, somebody's got to say enough enough.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_14]: Nobody's going to, because they're afraid.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_14]: And the unfortunate thing, and the same was true in Syracuse with this lady, the school boards, get elected, well-intentioned, nice people, community-minded, but they are scared, blankless of these administrators, this like our city council is.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_14]: They are going to say anything that, like we should hire at least chief of the lives in the city, they're not going to tell that guy
- 56:26[SPEAKER_14]: tell him screw you I'm a point in who I want you won't say it in those words we're diplomatic in that but yeah it's just out of control out of control and the amount of fluff and management in a city school district and you know we get on a city hall and all that but city schools it's not that I don't like children I know I'm baron it's not that I don't like teachers
- 56:52[SPEAKER_14]: it's this how many layers of this stuff can we have slathered on the system and our ability to pay for it executive principle there's nobody who works in a district who thinks that was needed yeah and of course there's the tax measures what do you have against teachers they like to simply they like to simplify it that way the children then when they say this is all about the children
- 57:15[SPEAKER_14]: and all of that uh... somebody wants to know if i can stop by to look at the sure oh yes i'll be right over i'll just put the over shortly yeah we're gonna some new t-shirts but we you know we keep up up on thing we keep up on things uh... let's say what else we get going on here
- 57:43[SPEAKER_14]: The big thing is, stay cool today, okay?
- 57:48[SPEAKER_14]: Stay cool!
- 57:50[SPEAKER_14]: It's odd out there, temperature is near 90 or at 90 or whatever it is, and you can easily be overcome.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_11]: Stay inside, drink plenty of fluids.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_14]: If you've got AC, stay in there, keep the pets in, all of that stuff.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_14]: If you look at that,
- 58:11[SPEAKER_14]: Bison thing from Yellowstone part of it they all tried to write it off as he was in you know it was brought him to use it or some horny they tried to give a horny excuse to it I don't know as that was a excuse it was hot he had bugs bite them and everything and he was mad he was rolling around the dirt trying to get comfortable and then he uh... those people just pissed them off and I don't really blame it you know
- 58:42[SPEAKER_14]: This is just the press release on the police chief.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_14]: Nothing about the new one.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_14]: They'll wait a day on that Yeah, it wouldn't be well, it's not polite first of all What's the retiring guy ever's day in the sun and all of that stuff so But I'm glad he's safe and doing okay.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_10]: He hadn't been seen in a while, so
- 59:10[SPEAKER_14]: of that.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_10]: All righty, uh, we're running out of time.
