- 0:00Hey there, folks, it's Jeff. Just wanted to let you know that
- 0:02this podcast episode was recorded on Wednesday night, October eighteen, twenty twenty three.
- 0:08Our interview this week was recorded on Tuesday, October seventeenth, twenty twenty
- 0:13three. By the time you hear this, some things may have changed here
- 0:15and there, but we hope you enjoy the show. All right, everybody,
- 0:43you're listening to the Philadelphia Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly
- 0:47Philly sports podcast show in the world. That's right over ten and a half
- 0:50year strong. I hope you are enjoying the world of Philly sports. At
- 0:54this particular point in time. Philadelphia Phillies obviously doing some good things. To
- 0:58Philadelphia Eagle, Yes, they had their first loss of the season against the
- 1:02New York Jets have at MetLife Stadium, but they still are five and one
- 1:06on the season, one of the best teams in the NFL, at least
- 1:08from a record perspective. And uh, Philadelphia seventy six ers, we're gonna
- 1:12starting their season very very soon. We got our sixer season preview coming to
- 1:19you this week. And I'm Jeff Warren and I'm here with my buddy Eric
- 1:23Leonard Man. Eric, you and I are exhausted right now doing this podcast.
- 1:26We are We are tired, boysoly lord. Yeah, I walked through
- 1:33the door at nine thirty, first time since I left at seven this morning.
- 1:38Set that. Yeah, it's one of those you know, you got
- 1:40two kids and just ones in a parade for the Halloween parade, and another
- 1:44ones has basketball tryouts, and yeah, just my daughter replays clarinet. Was
- 1:49a marching band thing at a middle school football game tonight, and I mean
- 1:55it was nice being there. It's just it was just a long day,
- 1:57a long night. And I do want to say for the folks that provided
- 2:00us some listener feedback this past week, thank you, thank you, thank
- 2:02you. We honestly we are so tired right now. We had to cut
- 2:06some stuff from the agenda, just letting you know, had to cut some
- 2:08stuff from the agenda, but we certainly wanted to talk about the Eagles,
- 2:10the Phillies of course, and gonna be getting into our sixer season preview.
- 2:15So that's what we got on the show this week. Here, Eric,
- 2:19let's just get into this Philadelphia Eagles team right off the bat, Game six
- 2:23against the Jets, the first loss of the season. My gosh. I
- 2:28mean, it was pretty shocking to see this team perform the way that it
- 2:31did. The fact that the defense just got oh my god, they just
- 2:37got killed in the short game with some poor linebacker play, and you know,
- 2:43just down to little things here and there. I say little things,
- 2:46but they added up Devonte Smith two just easy drops. Kenny Gainwell had a
- 2:52brutal third down drop with the Eagles deep in their own territory late in the
- 2:55third quarter. It was little small things, but then the big thing of
- 3:00Lane Johnson, you know, going out in the first quarter on the Eagles
- 3:04opening drive, like it was just Jack Driscoll was absolutely terrible at right tackle
- 3:08and against a very prolific Jets defensive line. So I felt like this loss
- 3:15was kind of coming. I felt like this loss was kind of right around
- 3:19the corner, and it it kind of sucked that it was in New York.
- 3:21Jets, a team that really just as one of the worst quarterbacks in
- 3:24the league ended up ended up not necessarily beating this team. Eagles ended up
- 3:29beating themselves, but it was it was just a rough watch, and I
- 3:32do think this team is going to be able to get back into some sort
- 3:35of form. But it goes to show that nothing is guaranteed, folks.
- 3:39Nothing's guaranteed. Eric Super Bowl is not guaranteed. NFC championship, that's not
- 3:44guaranteed at this point. How lost like this. They do have to go
- 3:46back to the drawing board on some things. Yeah, I didn't get to
- 3:52watch a ton of the game. I was busy doing you know, life
- 3:53stuff like we just talked about. Yeah, and I saw the highlights right
- 3:58enough articles where you can't let Jalen off the hook either. I saw that
- 4:02throw just an abysmal What third and nine was the in the fourth quarter interception.
- 4:09You also can't turn the you can't. You can't be minus four in
- 4:11the turnover column right the team I read I read a stat the other day
- 4:15teams minus four more and turnovers in the past. I forget the time frame,
- 4:20but one in twenty nine record like, it's it's death knell. You
- 4:25know, if you turn the ball over four times or more and it's beyond
- 4:30beyond lane Johnson. The defensive is a little shaky, yeah, and the
- 4:35secondary was shaky against a really awful quarterback. What scares the ship at me
- 4:41is I know we're back in Philly. But man, we're playing an offense
- 4:44that is very prolific, very fast, yes, this upcoming week, and
- 4:49they're gonna need Jaalen Carter. They're gonna need the They're gonna need the big
- 4:53guys up front to like make things uncomfortable for two because if not, I
- 4:57mean, we're gonna be it's gonna be Tiree Ill and Jaylen waddle up our
- 5:00asses. Absolutely most are just running us over. It's gonna be bad.
- 5:05So those guys got it. The whole defensive line's gotta be ready to go.
- 5:09They have to. Look. I don't necessarily think that the signing of
- 5:12Julio Jones from the offensive perspective is going to do much to move the needle.
- 5:15I mean, maybe it does a little bit. I don't necessarily think
- 5:18that the signing of cornerback Josiah Scott, who was on the team in twenty
- 5:24twenty one in twenty twenty two, is really going to move the needle either.
- 5:27I mean, he is a quote veteran, not the biggest name in
- 5:30the world, but he's very familiar with his teammates here. He's very familiar
- 5:35with the Philadelphia Eagles in general. I think that familiarity is important, but
- 5:41I don't think Josiah Scott necessarily is going to move the needle. Maybe provide
- 5:45some stability, which is what the team needs right now, especially in the
- 5:48secondary that has just been absolutely brutal. Sidney Brown's coming back this week,
- 5:55Thank god, He's coming back again to provide some stability. But that's that's
- 6:00what they need right now. They need stability. And it doesn't guarantee a
- 6:04win, it doesn't guarantee you some good defense. It just provides some stability
- 6:08here. And it's it's hard to believe that we're kind of talking about this
- 6:12way with the Philadelphia Eagles. At this point. I got nothing to add
- 6:15on those editions. The only thing I had to add is, if this
- 6:18is twenty seventeen, we signed Hulio Jones, that's exciting, absolutely, So
- 6:25I was like having six seven years ago. So now, yeah, exactly.
- 6:30All right again, folks, it's going to be a bit of an
- 6:32abbreviated show for Eric and I, like I said, we are completely exhausted
- 6:35here for a lot of different reasons, but we just want to hear from
- 6:41you about this Eagles team. And like I said, we'll get into some
- 6:44u we're getting some listener feedback on the next show as well, feedback at
- 6:48Oh my gosh, I don't even know the freaking email address anymore, Gosh,
- 6:53Philadelphia Sports Table at gmail dot com. We will read your email here
- 6:57on the show and respond to it. It's the name of the show,
- 6:59right it is. But we used to have an email address that was feedback
- 7:03at Philadelphia Sports Table dot com. Yeah, and then I went to a
- 7:08Gmail thing anyway, So let's get into some Phillies talk, folks, because
- 7:13I mean, now, this is the one team where I'm like, holy
- 7:15shit, Eric, They're just hitting home runs and home runs and homer.
- 7:20They are a home run hitting machine at this point. If the home run
- 7:24hitting machine stops, this team is absolutely screwed. But my god, at
- 7:30this time of us recording this here on October eighteenth, they are up to
- 7:34zero in the NLCS against the Arizona Diamondbacks. And just like we said,
- 7:42Eric the last time you were on the pod, this is a team that
- 7:45is likely going to be going to the World Series. We had that feeling.
- 7:48They've had the momentum. It has been fun to watch this team,
- 7:53and I really do think they're gonna get it done. I cannot see the
- 7:56Arizona Diamondbacks, given what the Phillies have done to them so far, saying
- 8:00to themselves, Okay, we're gonna do it. We're gonna dig ourselves out
- 8:01of this hole, and we're gonna come back in this series. I just
- 8:05can't see it happening. No, they don't feel like that kind of team.
- 8:09I will say this for them, though. They they had no and
- 8:11I'm not the only person to think is, but they had no idea what
- 8:15was coming. Yeah, in terms of the fans and just the way that
- 8:18the team just is just so pumped up and is running over other teams right
- 8:22now. Like I know Arizona did really, I mean they swipped the Dodgers.
- 8:28Dodgers were great, Yeah, awesome season, but they just had There's
- 8:33no they just didn't. There's no way they knew. Like I was watching
- 8:35Kelly Merril Kelly before Game two in a press conference, He's like, Ah,
- 8:39the fans aren't that loud. It's like, dude, just shut your
- 8:43mouth. You don't know what's coming. Like they're gonna say things to you
- 8:46that you've never heard about your your mother, your father, your kids.
- 8:50Possibly, Like it's just it's just you're just not ready for it. And
- 8:52beyond that is just the talent of the team. The Phillies are. Just
- 8:56like if one guy, if bomb is having a horrible run like he is
- 9:03right now, Bryson stopp will step up, you know. Kyle Schwarber doing
- 9:07absolutely nothing, Castianos steps up, and I you know, I'm probably not
- 9:13the only person that did this. And because of how they play off one
- 9:16another, and the one will step up when the other one's just not there,
- 9:20Like I think I text a bunch of people right before first pitch game
- 9:22game one or yeah, game one, like Schwarber needs to do something here,
- 9:28you know, Yeah, and my god, just just like just destroying
- 9:35the ball like only he does. You know, he's such a strong dude.
- 9:39Some of his home runs last in the series so far, he's not
- 9:41even like in full swing, right, but they go four hundred and thirty
- 9:45feet, yes, like just that massive upper body. I don't know how
- 9:48he does it, and he batted one ninety this year, but it doesn't
- 9:50matter because there are where they are, and just you just need him now
- 9:52for what one to six more wins, that's all you need him for,
- 9:56and you need him for eight more. In the first two of those those
- 10:01eight he was tremendous and he helped win. He was the biggest reason we
- 10:05won Game one. So, I mean, I can't imagine Arizona coming.
- 10:11I've seen crazier things, right, but they did. They looked like deer
- 10:13in the headlights, not gonna lie. Especially last night when we went up
- 10:18what was eight to eight, when it got to like really bad, bad
- 10:24numbers, I was like, they look like they're just lost. Holy shit,
- 10:28we just got run over. Let's get back to Arizona and see if
- 10:31maybe we can get one or two there, Like maybe, But I can't
- 10:33believe. I mean, the Phillies can be intimidating. They definitely talk shit.
- 10:39They were massive ship talkers of the Braves. I'm sure they're doing the
- 10:41same thing to Diamondbacks. And I just don't think teams. I'm not sure
- 10:46teams are built like that that they can can like. There's not a lot
- 10:48of shit talking in baseball, which is why I love this Phillies team exactly.
- 10:52And part of it's that we've talked about it here on the podcast,
- 10:54but part of it is the fan base in the stadium, Citizens Bank Park
- 11:00of it is the entire ambiance of what the Philadelphia Phillies actually what they are,
- 11:05you know, including the fans, including what that ballpark you know down
- 11:11at the Sports Complex, what that is and what it means like everything in
- 11:16a package together, and teams just don't know how to handle it. They
- 11:20don't know how to handle it here. And I gotta tell you too,
- 11:24after last night's game, Aaron Nola recording seven strikeouts eric and six innings is
- 11:31awesome. It was amazing. His postseason has been awesome. His his pitching
- 11:37basically the past month has been awesome, and I think it is actually it's
- 11:43generating that buzz already. Oh my gosh. They need to resign him.
- 11:46They absolutely need to resign him now. Whether or not that's the case,
- 11:50we're gonna be talking about it on this show, of course, you know,
- 11:52once the season is over at some point. But I think Aaron Nola
- 11:58is making a great case that he should be coming back to Philly during this
- 12:01free agency period. Right now. He is. He is showing the organization,
- 12:07he's showing us fans that he actually still has it. Whatever happened to
- 12:13him earlier this year that is now in the past. It is now you
- 12:18know, you know in the rear view mirror here and Aaron Nola has been
- 12:22pitching lights out in the postseason, as we all hoped and expected him to
- 12:28do. He's getting it done. And what happens when guys end up getting
- 12:31it done, they end up getting a pretty damn good contract. Eric.
- 12:35Yeah, I mean, if he finishes this runout, I mean, how
- 12:37many times is he going to pitch? Now? Yeah, he might only
- 12:41have two more starts, maybe, depending how the series goes, maybe three.
- 12:46I don't know if he think at three probably yeah, probably three.
- 12:50And if he pitches like you did tonight in three of those in the Phillies
- 12:54wind up winning the World Series. I can't envision a world where he doesn't
- 12:58get resigned. Yeah, he's not going to He's not going to get the
- 13:01ridiculous seven year two hundred like whatever. You know what the the shirt server
- 13:07or Inlanders kind of got. He's not. I don't think he's quite in
- 13:11that range. But if he's, if he's a key cog and he's only
- 13:16what I mean, he's only twenty nine. I was in his thirties.
- 13:20Isn't he in his thirties but super young? Thirty and he's been pretty healthy,
- 13:24still throws with a lot of velocity. You know, his curveball last
- 13:28night was just sick. It was just dropping. Oh my god. I
- 13:31I a couple of times I text you guys like, whoa did you see
- 13:35that? Right? But think about it. If he if he's if he's
- 13:37responsible for two more really good wins, maybe three, how did you've you've
- 13:45built this, you know, dynamite veteran team with awesome chemistry. You you
- 13:52have to resign him like he's part of it. It'd be I mean,
- 13:56DOMBRASKI would be like just be like Malfeasan's malpractice, like not recent absolutely all
- 14:01right, let us know what you're thinking about the Phillies folks here. It
- 14:03is a fun time to be a Phillies fan, fun time to watch this
- 14:07team. Philadelphia Sports Table at gmail dot com. We'll read your email here
- 14:11on the show and respond to it. And if you're listening to us for

- 14:43All right, folks, We are back and now we are going to be
- 14:46getting into our Philadelphia seventy six Ers preview. We've got an interview first that
- 14:50we're gonna be diving into with our guests this week. Tom West from Libertyballers
- 14:56dot Com. It's what we're throwing down on the table and now on the
- 15:01table, and it is great to have back on the podcast for our Philadelphia
- 15:07seventy six Ers season preview. Coming to us from England. One of our
- 15:13favorites from Libertyballers dot com. He is an associate editor over there Libertyballers dot
- 15:18com again and he's our good friend, mister Tom West. How you doing,
- 15:22Tom, I'm doing really good. Thanks for having me back on.
- 15:24It's been a while. It's really great to see you here and to get
- 15:28into this team. I said right before the record, before we hit the
- 15:31record button. I'm like, I'm looking forward to the season, but it's
- 15:33like I kind of wish I was a little more excited for it as well.
- 15:37It's gonna be bizarre because I think Sixers Nation in general is kind of
- 15:41thinking that way, where we're excited to see this team play, but we
- 15:46just know with all the drama and everything that's been going on behind the scenes
- 15:50that you know, there's some trepidation there for sure. Yeah, it's a
- 15:54tricky one. I think by this point everyone was hoping that Tolden trade would
- 16:00have happened a while ago, would be you know, heading into the season,
- 16:03maybe with a worst roster, but at least a kind of clean slate,
- 16:07a fresh start. You know where you're at and what the team is
- 16:08going to look like long term. But now it's just kind of this weird
- 16:11in between period where the team's not final. You know there's going to be
- 16:15a change at some point. It sounds like James Harden's going to play,
- 16:18but how you know, committed and how much of his a game is he
- 16:22going to bring night tonight? Right, There's a lot of uncertainty, which
- 16:26is never great. Although it feels like that's something we've got pretty used to
- 16:29of the Sixers. Absolutely, so yeah, absolutely, yep, yeah.
- 16:33Well, to get into our season preview here, I really wanted to start
- 16:37with one particular gentleman who we actually really haven't talked about too too much on
- 16:41this podcast. And well, certainly, you know you folks at you know,
- 16:45Libertyballers dot com, you've talked about him, You've written about him as
- 16:48well. I really want to talk about Nick Nurse and as the head coach
- 16:52of this team, brand new head coach, what is going to be bringing
- 16:55to the table, because he certainly has strength and he has weaknesses, and
- 16:57I was hoping we can get into that right off the bad here as we're
- 17:00staring down this regular season. So when it comes to Nick Nurse, Tom
- 17:04like, what, what do you think his biggest strength is going to end
- 17:07up being this season with the Sixers and his you know that that his first
- 17:12year with the team. What do you think I think just being a more
- 17:15experimental coach will be the main thing. And I think that will be a
- 17:18freshing change from Doc Rivers, you know, in the past with the Raptors.
- 17:23He's said these really like long, versatile rosters with tons of wings and
- 17:27he can get he can get really creative there. Obviously, the Sixers roster
- 17:32isn't shaped the same way like wing depth and options is kind of their main
- 17:36weakness at the moment. I still think Nurse can kind of bring a different
- 17:40sense of creativity. It sounds like he really likes the look of Paul Reed,
- 17:44which is which is good to hear. I think Paul Reid should keep
- 17:47improving this year. I really like his upside and I think he can he
- 17:51could do well under Nurse. It's the kind of long, versatile athletics,
- 17:55switchy defender that Nurse likes. And I think you know one thing Nurse might
- 17:59do, you know, use Read more at the fall, something we've not
- 18:02really seen yet. I think read needs to be the primary backup five.
- 18:04But I also think mixing him in at the four, maybe next to Embiid
- 18:07a bit more or something we haven't really seen. And I think Nurse could
- 18:11be the kind of guy who could unlock that. I think he'll probably mix
- 18:15up his defensive schemes a bit more, just be a bit more sort of
- 18:17funky and aggressive there. We've really seen some really nice positions from the Sixers
- 18:21in their preseason games. Just you know, everyone really shifting around the floor,
- 18:23irritating well, bringing a lot of energy. So I think just being
- 18:29a bit more creative, mixing things up defensively, not being afraid to go
- 18:33away from a typical scheme, whether that's just you know, not always sticking
- 18:37with embiiding a kind of deeper drop coverage, just mixing it up a bit.
- 18:40I think that I think that would be refreshing compared to what Rivers was.
- 18:42It's definitely going to be refreshing. I can't wait to see some of
- 18:45this new coaching style that we're going to be seeing from Nick Nurse. But
- 18:48on the flip side of things, Tom, what do you think is going
- 18:52to be the biggest weakness as a coach which we may actually get frustrated with
- 18:56as fans, you know, during Nick Nurse's first year here. So I
- 19:00think just looking at what I know is bother some Raptors fans, especially probably
- 19:06later on in Nurse's time in Toronto, was just minute management and some of
- 19:10his rotations. I think he did get into a habit of sometimes overplaying certain
- 19:14players, of upping players a little bit too high in the regular season,
- 19:18not necessarily. Tom Tivodeaux level, but kind of overplaying some guys more than
- 19:22you would like, maybe having a shorter rotation than you'd want to see.
- 19:26I know, Doc wasn't a guy who played young guys a lot necessarily.
- 19:29He was often resistant to that, So it's not like that's a huge change
- 19:33per se. But I do think monitoring Nick Nurse's rotation, how many players
- 19:38he uses, how quick he is to maybe try some of the younger,
- 19:42more unproven guys like Jayden's Springer for instance. He's had some nice fashies,
- 19:47but is he going to get many chances on the Nurse to kind of show
- 19:48what he can do to break into the mix. I don't know. So
- 19:52yeah, it'd be interesting to see if Nurse does favor anyone and if he
- 19:56maybe overplays certain guys. All right, very good, Well, you wrote
- 20:00as we're moving along here, you wrote recent article on Liberty Ballers about PJ.
- 20:04Tucker's and James Harden's friendship, and you know, I mean, look,
- 20:08we all know the drama that's surrounding James Harden. You know, I
- 20:11personally thought he was going to be out out of the building at this point.
- 20:15I thought, you know, possibly, you know, second first,
- 20:18second week, of October, he would have been traded. But it's interesting
- 20:22to look at the dynamics with James Harden, the relationships that he does have
- 20:26on this team still and PJ. Tucker and he very good friends. You
- 20:30highlighted it very well in your recent article, and PJ. Tucker said that
- 20:33his personal emotions do not factor into how he feels about playing for the Sixers
- 20:38moving forward. And I know that he has to say this to the press,
- 20:42of course, but I do question how he can't let it affect him
- 20:47in some way, shape or form, because, like he said, you
- 20:51know, he came here to play with James, you know. So I'm
- 20:53wondering, is this just another piece of the puzzle that's kind of getting ready
- 20:59to fall. Do you think in terms of possibly PJ. Tucker's productivity based
- 21:04on that personal relationships, because personal relationships are so important in the game of
- 21:08basketball. What are your thoughts? Yeah, no, they are super important.
- 21:11And I think Tucker, you know, with his sort of social media
- 21:15posting in the off season and his recent comments, he's made it clear he's
- 21:18faithful to James Harden, and you know, they have a lot of history
- 21:22and they have a good friendship. I don't think there's anything to be too
- 21:26concerned with at the moment. By the sounds of it, and you know,
- 21:29we're reporting and comments coming out of training camp and pre season, it
- 21:32sounds like the vibes are actually pretty good relatively speaking, considering what's going on
- 21:36with James, and it sounds like his approach has been pretty good so far.
- 21:41And I know it's really early days, but it sounds like his approach
- 21:44and how he's kind of engaged in training and kind of you know, mix
- 21:47in with the rest of the team has actually been fairly good. I feel
- 21:51like if there was a bit more discomfort there, you know, with Tucker
- 21:55or you know, anyone else who might have heard more about it. So
- 21:57I think, at least for now, it seems, you know, very
- 22:00positive. And I think Tucker's going to keep being a professional. He's got
- 22:04a good role here. You know, he's got a good contract. Yeah,
- 22:07there aren't going to be loads of teams lining up if he wanted to
- 22:10throw in his own trade requests considering how much he's getting paid at you know,
- 22:14his very late thirties. So I think I think it should be okay
- 22:18now, you know, something to keep an eye on but I think if
- 22:21there was going to be more you know, disruption, you know, with
- 22:23those sort of relationships, I think we might have heard a bit more at
- 22:26this point. Yeah, I would agree with that too. It's just I
- 22:30just know how personal relationships affect a lot of different stuff, whether it's in
- 22:33the locker room or whether it's on the court play as well. Those personal
- 22:37relationships really do matter. And as we're moving along here, the next topic
- 22:44I wanted to dive into with you, Tom, the NBA themselves, they
- 22:48have made it clear how they want teams to implement, you know, quote
- 22:52load management due to TV contracts, especially nationally televised games, and I thought
- 22:57I thought it was interesting how Joe Ellenbiid recently said he's never he never load
- 23:03managers at all. I found that to be entertaining actually and saying that it's
- 23:07like okay, all right, Joel. But you know, I do wonder
- 23:11if that changes this coming season based on their opponent any any given day,
- 23:17you know, like what is going to happen with Joel Embiid, because I
- 23:19do think as he is getting a little bit older, I think as he
- 23:22is looking at his own career, there will be some sort of perhaps enhanced
- 23:27load management. And again reflecting on what we were talking about with regard to
- 23:30Nick Nurse, how Nick Nurse is going to coach him as well. So
- 23:34what type of load management do you think we're gonna end up seeing from Joel
- 23:37Embiid this season? I think there could be a bit more low management.
- 23:41I think it's a fair point. You know that we said with Nurse,
- 23:44is he going to play beat a couple more minutes? And maybe he should.
- 23:47You know, that's going to be up to the whole coaching staff,
- 23:48so we'll see. They know how crucial he is to the team and how
- 23:52important his health is, so be interesting to how they learn him personally.
- 23:56But then also, yeah, you know, the league has made it tough
- 23:57enow for teams to rest stars. You know, it's you know, you
- 24:00can't really kind of rest everyone at once. Now. You can't keep resting
- 24:04players back to back or giving them all their rest games on the road.
- 24:07So things have got more tricky in that from that viewpoint, and I think
- 24:11the Sixers are going to have to consider that obviously if they trade for you
- 24:17know, if they do trade hard and get players back, who aren't you
- 24:19know, the sort of definition of the star player as the league is defining
- 24:22it by these new sort of load management rules, then that could help them.
- 24:26Only having one you know, star per Se on the roster and Embeed
- 24:30would would be helpful. It would be easier to kind of get him the
- 24:33rest when he needs it. But you know, for as long as Harden
- 24:37is around and depending on who they get back for him, they're going to
- 24:38have to be more wary of that and choosing when they rest guys. So
- 24:42I don't know how much it's going to affect his total games played in his
- 24:45minutes. You know, that's up to nurse and the staff and how they
- 24:48manage that in the coming months. But the six are definitely going to have
- 24:51to be a bit more careful with how they sort of plan ahead and think
- 24:53about when he gets his time off. They absolutely will, and I think
- 24:56it's going to be interesting too the dynamic that we see with Joel Embiid as
- 25:02it relates to the next gentleman that I wanted to talk about, and that
- 25:04is Tyrese Maxey. And the last time that you were on the podcast,
- 25:10we talked about Maxie. We talked about his development and for the past couple
- 25:14of years, Tom, I mean, Maxi has really flashed as kind of
- 25:17a pesky defender who wiggles over screens, chase around off ball shooters, and
- 25:22dart you know, into space for some takeaways here and there. And I
- 25:26think now it is the time to see that defensive development manifest more from him
- 25:33and where he could potentially shine. And given the James Harden likely won't be
- 25:37on this team for too much longer, I mean, I'm I'm kind of
- 25:38crossing my fingers here at this point. How do you see Tyrese Maxey's development
- 25:44and role progressing, especially from a defensive standpoint, you know, if James
- 25:48Harden isn't here anymore. I mean, I really think tyres is just going
- 25:52to keep getting better, you know it has improved so consistently and kept adding
- 25:56to his game throughout his his you know short so far, and it really
- 26:02feels like he's just energy and vibe and everything about his game is kind of
- 26:06the most fun thing of the Sixers right now. To be honest, I'm
- 26:10looking forward to watching him, you know, I think offensively, playmaking is
- 26:15the big thing. You know, he can up his scoring if he needs
- 26:18it. He can already play well off embiads. So how he you know,
- 26:23he's going to have to be handling the ball more now that Harden's not
- 26:26around, So how he kind of handles making more diverse pick and roll reads,
- 26:29how he kind of handles his usage there in terms of being more of
- 26:32a playmaker. That's the main thing to watch. And I think he's not
- 26:34a super advanced playmaker yet, but I think if you give him time,
- 26:37he's going to keep getting used to doing more different reads. Nurse is going
- 26:41to use him a little bit differently and increases usage. So I think in
- 26:45time he can you know, not be an elite passer, but I think
- 26:48he can grow there. And then defensively to your question, and I think
- 26:52you know there will be more pressure on him to step up. It helps
- 26:53you know, Harden isn't a plus defender, so it can help there.
- 26:57You know, if Melton's more starting opportunities, you know that that kind of
- 27:03shows up the back court defensively, Like Maxie and Melton is a pretty good
- 27:07duo. Maxi is always going to be limited. There's some things that he
- 27:10can't work on. You know, his size, he can't change that.
- 27:12You know, there's going to be guards that are just bigger than him,
- 27:15and you know, when it comes to kind of defending drives against those bigger
- 27:18guards or if he get switched onto a forward, there's not much MAXI can
- 27:22do there. But you're right, I think he has kind of improved through
- 27:26his career in terms of just how he can test, how he stays on
- 27:29the ball, how he navigates screens. So again, I think I think
- 27:33he can keep working on that, and I think, you know, maybe
- 27:36spending more time next to someone liked Anthony Melton is going to help him.
- 27:38Having a more you know, reliable backcourt defensive partner is going to be good.
- 27:44And how Nurse mixes up the defense, you know, if they do
- 27:47do any more switching, if they switch up their coverages, how they defend
- 27:49around ball screens and that sort of thing, that will all be things for
- 27:52MAXI to learn as well. So you know, there could be a bit
- 27:53of a learning curve in there, depending how much sort of schematic things change.
- 27:59But I think Maxi's up for the task in terms of his IQ and
- 28:02how he approaches things. So I think within his limitations and what he can
- 28:06do for I think he'll keep the improving. I really think I honestly,
- 28:08aside from Joel Embiid, you know, over the past ten years, Tyrese
- 28:14Maxi's probably the next best draft pick. Is that like, seriously, is
- 28:18that what it like when we analyze it over the past ten years? Is
- 28:22it really like Joel Embiid and then Tyrese Maxley at this point. Yeah,
- 28:26I mean, I think how everything ended with Ben Simmons, I mean yeah,
- 28:30I mean, Maxy was such a home run pick, and I think
- 28:33it's just the value of getting him twenty first overall, it makes it even
- 28:37better. It's not like, you know, you had the first or second
- 28:40pick and you've got a really good player, that's kind of a given.
- 28:41But getting someone who's kind of potentially pushing for kind of All Star consideration and
- 28:45someone who's become such a good score and improved so quickly. I'm also key
- 28:51to the team already, and he's made their future so much better than it
- 28:52would be if they didn't get him. Getting that guy twenty first overall is
- 28:56such a massive win, and it's really kind of changed their you know,
- 29:02recent outlook and their outlook for the near future, because without Maxi, things
- 29:06would look very different right now. Absolutely again, folks, we're talking to
- 29:08Tom West. He covers the Sixers as the associate editor for Libertyballers dot Com
- 29:15at Liberty Underscore Ballers on Twitter and you can follow Tom on Twitter at Tom
- 29:19West NBA. He is a great, great follow And moving along here,
- 29:25I wanted to talk about a gentleman who's coming back to the Sixers for a
- 29:27second time, and that's Danny Green. And I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing
- 29:33him on the court in the Sixers jersey again. I mean, we know
- 29:36that he's been a connecting piece on winning rosters in the past, and he'll
- 29:41be able to give this team a boost every now and again here and there.
- 29:44He's probably not a twenty minute per night type of guy anymore, as
- 29:47we know, But I'm wondering, you know, do you think we'll see
- 29:48maybe at least, you know, fourteen to fifteen minutes per night from him?
- 29:52And what does this season mean for the Sixers? What does he mean
- 29:57for this Sixer season coming off the bank. I think it may not even
- 30:00be quite that much. I think it could be a little less. I
- 30:07yeah, I think, and I think it's going to be a bit on
- 30:08and off and and not necessarily the same throughout. I feel like Nurse is
- 30:12going to mix things up a bit, and I think the Kellyubray addition kind
- 30:15of changes in rotation quite a bit. I feel like he's going to have
- 30:18a fairly solid role. I also think just in terms of like this team
- 30:22needs to be, it's quite an old, slow, not the most athletic
- 30:26team, isn't it. But I feel like you kind of need whatever players
- 30:29can give you that. So I think, you know, someone like Daniel
- 30:32House as well, I think it would be good for him to get a
- 30:33little bit more run than he had a lot of last season. I don't
- 30:37have huge expectations for him, but you know, he did fairly well when
- 30:41he got some chances kind of late in the year. He had a couple
- 30:42of good moments in the playoffs. So I think Nurse could use House a
- 30:45bit more too, just to get a bit more speed and athleticism. But
- 30:48you know, Green has looked good, like you know, the start of
- 30:51the preseason has been looking good. Is moving fairly well. The shootings are
- 30:56always reliable, Like he knows how to relocate so well off the ball.
- 30:59His classics Danny Green Baseline Cup, he can run that for you know,
- 31:03another ten twenty years and still get open, I'm sure. And you know,
- 31:06he obviously his history playing off in Bead, he knows how to kind
- 31:08of work around him find his spots off the ball, and he's always a
- 31:12trigger shooter and he's efficient from the arc still, so that's really helpful.
- 31:18He's even making up some good outlook passes in pre seasons so far, like
- 31:21he's looked really good. I just think, you know, at this point
- 31:23of his career, like we saw it when he was with the Sixers before
- 31:26as well, like he has slowed down quite a bit defensively. Yes,
- 31:30he's still smart with his positioning, he knows where to be, He's not
- 31:33going to be making big mistakes, and his size helps him contest shots as
- 31:37well. But I just think, you know, he's not going to be
- 31:40as spry and quick on the ball, So I think that that does limit
- 31:42him at this stage of his career quite a lot, which is where I
- 31:45think mixing an new brayn House just for a bit more atholeticism is going to
- 31:48help on the wing. But yeah, I definitely think he can contribute,
- 31:52you know, as a kind of old vector have. He's a good locker
- 31:55room presence, throw him in there for some shooting here and there and kind
- 31:59of rely on him and know that he's going to be in the right spot.
- 32:01So I think he's a pretty good signing, you know, at this
- 32:04stage of the season. And yeah, for a cheap gun and old bets
- 32:07to you know kind of add at this late stage is pretty good. Yeah.
- 32:10Absolutely. And when we take a look at this bench, folks,
- 32:14the Sixers bench is it's not a bad bench, It really isn't. They
- 32:17do have some depth on the bench and it's something that's going to be interesting
- 32:21to follow, especially early on in this season, to see what some of
- 32:23these minutes are going to look like for some of these bench players. And
- 32:28as we're closing out our conversation here, Tom, I have to ask just
- 32:31in terms of, you know, where the team is looking to fall in
- 32:37terms of the Eastern Conference. It's just it's something we've talked about on this
- 32:42podcast, and you know, we don't have a crystal ball, of course
- 32:45nobody does. But when we look at this Eastern Conference, man, it's
- 32:49gonna be hard for the Sixers to compete at a high level against the Bucks
- 32:52and the Celtics, two teams that arguably got a lot better. And it's
- 32:58ridiculous, I know, to talk about the postseason considering there hasn't been one
- 33:02ball dribbled in with regard to the regular season. But I mean, how
- 33:07do you think things are going to take shape in the East and where do
- 33:12where did the Sixers fit into the playoff picture if they even do here?
- 33:15If you had a crystal ball, I think, yeah, like you said,
- 33:17it's tough, and like some of their top competitors got better and the
- 33:21Sixers just haven't. And like I said, we're in this kind of limbo,
- 33:24unknown period of wondering what they're going to get for James Harden. So
- 33:28it's tough. I mean, I think I think realistically kind of around the
- 33:31sort of mid playoff picture, like fourth seed is kind of their ceiling at
- 33:36the moment with where things stand. Like like, you know, like we
- 33:40said, the teams have just got better, Like the Celtics have a lot
- 33:44of changes to kind of work through. You know, trading Mark as Smart
- 33:46is a huge deal for them, is so big for their their culture and
- 33:50their defensive identity. But you know, adding pausingis brings them a new kind
- 33:54of scoring look and a bit more space offensively, and you know the size
- 33:59and room prot actually has, so that's going to be interesting. Obviously,
- 34:01Drew Holiday is an awesome addition for them, like their defense is still insane,
- 34:07and having more playmaking with him and you know, his shooting. He's
- 34:12a fantastic fit there as you would be anywhere really. Obviously, the Bucks
- 34:15have got Dame Lillard, Like I mean, they were already good enough as
- 34:21is, and now they've got this Dame Yannis combo, like their pick and
- 34:24roll play, having that really elite perimeter scoring and you know, shot creation
- 34:30from deep. Having that range to go alongside Yannis is going to be huge
- 34:34for their offense and make them you know, so much harder to stop in
- 34:37the postseason as well, and just in general. So that's tough. And
- 34:40then the Cavs have also got better. You know, they're already young and
- 34:44improving, and I know their season didn't end as their hope, but they've
- 34:47got young guys like you know, Darius Gardland and Evan Mobley who are really
- 34:51just going to keep getting better. I think Mobley in particular has a lot
- 34:53so much room to keep growing. They've already been improving, so you factor
- 34:59in that sort of growth and the fact that they improve their depth and they're
- 35:01shooting this off season, They've got Max Strus, they got former sixer George
- 35:06Yang to give them some extra shooting, so they've kind of improved their wing
- 35:08play, which was a big need for them. They've got a bit more
- 35:12defense in shooting there, so they're looking stronger and deeper. So I think
- 35:15those three teams could really look like the top three, and then if the
- 35:17Sixers are fitting in after them, I think, you know, at least
- 35:22in terms of regular season standings, I think that's kind of a pretty realistic
- 35:25and fair expectation for them right now. You know, maybe the six is
- 35:29knocked out of the park with a hardened trade, and some things go their
- 35:32way that we're not expecting, or there's injuries that come into play, but
- 35:36I think kind of mid tier below those three top teams is kind of where
- 35:39they're looking right now. Darryl Moury is not settling at this point for anything.
- 35:45In terms of James Harden, He's just not settling right now, and
- 35:49I remains to be seen whether or not that's going to be a positive attribute
- 35:53or something that's going to really hurt the franchise in the future, but remains
- 35:59to be seen what happens again, folks, Tom West, Libertyballers dot Com.
- 36:01Tom Buddy, it was great talking to you. Thank you so much
- 36:05for taking the time to come on the PSD podcast show. And I hope
- 36:07we can talk down down the road for sure. Oh yeah, no,
- 36:12of course, it's always a pleasure. Thanks having me. All right,
- 36:15great discussion with Tom as always across the Pond, Eric, Yes, Eric
- 36:20is back with us, folks across the Pond. I didn't say that to
- 36:23him, but I wanted to. I wanted to be like, how many
- 36:27times do people say when they're talking to you over here in America that they're
- 36:30talking to Tom across the pond? Did you ask him? I didn't say
- 36:36across the pond? No, I didn't. I couldn't do it because I
- 36:37know people have to do it to him all the time. I think that
- 36:40next time the interview you should probably just ask, like, how many times
- 36:44do people actually just say that to you? I know, I know he's
- 36:45such a nice guy. I know he is, and he'll answer politely,
- 36:50and but it's we love cliches on here in Podcasts are full of cliches.
- 36:53And that would be the biggest one to describe someone who lives across the pond
- 36:58exactly. There you go. All right, We'll sticking with our Philadelphia seventy
- 37:02six Ers season preview here. It's bizarre to be doing this preview, Eric,
- 37:07because we kind of just like even talking to Tom and toward the end
- 37:12of our discussion there, I mean, we all kind of just know how
- 37:14this season, you know, may go, and who knows what's gonna happen
- 37:16with the Bucks and the Celtics with regard to injuries and different dynamics. With
- 37:22this, I know, I'm trying to talk myself into the fact that the
- 37:25Sixers might actually be able to do something this year more than getting out of
- 37:30the second round of the playoffs. But who knows what will happen with these
- 37:35other teams. You know, maybe Dame just goes crazy, Maybe he goes
- 37:37nuts and the Bucks just falter. I don't I don't know. I'm trying
- 37:44to pull something out of a hat here. Wait, yes, Dame goes
- 37:47crazy, like like Kyrie Irving crazy, or like scoring crazy. No,
- 37:52like Kyrie Irving crazy. Okay, like things just shit the bed for him?
- 37:58Yeah, Okay, Kyrie Irving or James Harden crazy. Yeah that's true.
- 38:02Yeah, that is true. So all right, we're gonna get into
- 38:05some predictions here and close out the show. So, I mean, I
- 38:09think this first one here, who's gonna be the MVP of this Philadelphia seventy
- 38:15six ers team. I think it's probably pretty self explanatory that the reigning NBA
- 38:21MVP will likely be the MVP of this team. But it was interesting in
- 38:25talking about Joel Embiid talking about, you know, the possible load management with
- 38:30him and how it might actually be a little bit different this year with Nick
- 38:35Nurse, And it might be a little bit different because be ball Paul,
- 38:37you know he is, He's gonna have some probably more larger type, I
- 38:44don't want to say larger role, but more of a role on this team.
- 38:47It was interesting how Tom was talking about the fact that, you know
- 38:50what, he may he may. He may be on the court with Joel
- 38:52Embiid every now and again, he may be playing the four. Who knows,
- 38:55you know, Nick Nurse may implement that a little bit more this season.
- 39:00But anyway, getting back to the MVP aspect of what the who that
- 39:04was going to be that on this team, I think it's Joel Embiid,
- 39:07right, Eric, Yeah, in what might be his final season with the
- 39:12Sixers. Yeah, and he goes out and plays well and is possible finally
- 39:16finally goes You know, I really don't want to hear about load management.
- 39:22You you completely faltered in the second round of the playoffs once again, uh,
- 39:25Joel and h I don't think load management is going to help that,
- 39:30honestly, So if give me a reason why I should like be happy about
- 39:37load management because it's going to get you further along and better performing in the
- 39:39playoffs. But I have yet to see it. So if you can tell,
- 39:43Jeff, I'm really down in this team right now, Yes, exactly
- 39:45excited for their start of the season. I think it's gonna I think there's
- 39:50a potential of an absolute meltdown from the top to the bottom. I absolutely
- 39:53think that's possible. Tom and I didn't get into that aspect, but I'm
- 39:57glad we did because it is absolute possible. Because I wonder how many wins
- 40:01this team actually could have this year. So I'm gonna let you go first
- 40:06with your prediction, buddy, Like, like, what are your thoughts on
- 40:08what the actual win total could be this year if everything stays the way that
- 40:14we hope that it will, you know, and again that's not saying that.
- 40:19Well, I mean maybe these are our predictions. So if you think
- 40:22this team is going to absolutely collapse and it's gonna fall into the ground,
- 40:25then yeah, maybe they're only gonna win, you know, forty games.
- 40:30Who knows? What do you think the wins are gonna look like this year?
- 40:36I forget what the record was last year. I think they got to
- 40:37fifty some right, fifty somewhere in the fifties, early fifties. Yeah.
- 40:43Yeah, the over unders came out. Vegas had him at forty nine and
- 40:46a half. Initially I thought that was completely preposterous and was going to jump
- 40:52on the under to my my favorite basketball team in the NBA, but it
- 40:57quickly dropped to forty seven and a half. Is kind of however, is
- 41:00forty seven and a half forty seven and a half over under? Yeah?
- 41:04Oh my god, I take the under. I think they're gonna win about
- 41:07forty six to forty seven games. Forty seven and thirty five sounds like a
- 41:12really good number for this team, especially if Joel I mean, the East
- 41:15is just so much better. It is it's a it's a gauntlet up top.
- 41:22The bottom teams didn't get much better, but the teams up top are
- 41:24really damn good, and we're not really one of them anymore. We're kind
- 41:28of that. We're we're back into that five six range of the playoffs.
- 41:32Probably, Yeah, forty seven wins is probably where you're gonna land right probably
- 41:37probably right in the four or five or six hole. Man, I was
- 41:38actually gonna take fifty one wins. It's gonna do that because I think that's
- 41:44what in terms of and again, you know, going back to my conversation
- 41:46with Tom, we were saying that their ceiling is probably going to be number
- 41:51the number four seed in the East, you know, and if they're a
- 41:54number four seed, because I think I think the last time they were the
- 41:58number four seed, it was what twenty twenty one, twenty twenty two,
- 42:01and I think they won fifty one games that year. So like that,
- 42:05I'm thinking that's where I'm at right now. I'm thinking that it's probably fifty
- 42:08one games. I mean, it's not too far off from where you're at,
- 42:12but it's still that still could be significant. Okay, hold on,
- 42:17I'm looking at where they were last year. Yeah, so they won fifty
- 42:22four games last year, forty seven and a half over under. They would
- 42:27have to lose seven more games to be just to be the under is Nick
- 42:34Nurse. I mean, there's no either better than were last year. I
- 42:37just don't feel that way, just because I don't think James Harden. I'm
- 42:40so sick of talking about him, but he's like the he's like the I
- 42:45can't wait to hear Tom's points on Harden because basically, if he decides to
- 42:51hold his team hostage and not play, well, what is your ceiling?
- 42:54You know, as a team, it's pretty it's pretty damn low. But
- 42:58I think I agree with Tom. The playoff ceiling is a four seed.
- 43:02I think they're gonna be. I think they're gonna be a five seed.
- 43:05I think the Cavaliers are going to improve and kind of take that four spot.
- 43:08You're gonna have like Bucks, Celtics, Heat Calves, maybe even the
- 43:15Knicks when the Sixers would drop into like the six hole. Yeah, yes,
- 43:20I unfortunately, and there's always one team's going to make a leap that
- 43:23you're not. You're not, you weren't expecting like the Magic possibly and if
- 43:28the Sixers really falter, and Harden just holds his team hostage and we just
- 43:32can't make a move and you're just stuck with him and he's just not playing,
- 43:37you know. And And how many wins is Nick Nurse worth on a
- 43:42team that's already kind of feel like it's in turmoil? Are they really worth?
- 43:45Like, I mean, it's fifty fifty three wins last year, that's
- 43:49a that's a that's tough to maintain, whether a roster, it's not as
- 43:52good, they're older, embied, We're already talking about load management with him.
- 43:57Harden could be a complete disaster. Like Nick Nurse have to be the
- 44:00greatest coach in the NBA history is kind of what I'm getting at for them
- 44:02to approach what they did last year. So that's why I'm thinking, like
- 44:06forty seven wins like a five or six seed in the playoffs. Okay,
- 44:08all right, you got forty seven wins. I'm still going with fifty one
- 44:13wins and I'm probably crazy for that. So all right, So where where
- 44:20are they gonna Well, we kind of just basically said where we think they're
- 44:22gonna finish in the East. I'm with Tom and I think they're gonna actually
- 44:25finish the number four. I mean, I'm thinking it's probably gonna be Bucks
- 44:29Celtic's Cavaliers. I don't know about the heat. I don't necessarily know about
- 44:34the heat. We didn't Tom and I didn't get into the heat at all.
- 44:36But I think that this team's ceiling if things do turn out to be
- 44:42if things work out for the Sixers, and what I mean by workout is
- 44:45man that ceiling is the number four seed. If things work out and Nick
- 44:51Nurse can actually be a coach that really isn't as stubborn as Doc Rivers,
- 44:57then I'm gonna go with number four. I'm gonna I'm gonna go with number
- 44:59fo It sounds like you're going with like number six. I mean, either
- 45:05way, I probably put the heat too high just because they're not They don't
- 45:09really care about the regular season. They just want to get to the playoffs.
- 45:13They do and then they kill and just start kicking people's asses exactly.
- 45:15So maybe the Sixers I'll bump up a spot to four or five, but
- 45:20that sticks you in the Nicks Cavaliers area, which you could you could probably
- 45:27win the first round, but yeah, you're just destined for a complete ass
- 45:32kicking in the second round from either the Bucks or the Celtics. Yep,
- 45:37they're just so much better. You can, I can look at it fifty
- 45:40times here, but they're they're they're absolute ceiling is getting losing in five games
- 45:45in the second round no matter who they play. Yeah, so well,
- 45:50folks, it's gonna be a fun season. Fun season. Preview folks,
- 46:00come on back, subscribe. Well here's here's the problem too, Like,
- 46:02okay, so this is why this team is like kind of sad. I
- 46:07can't believe it got to this point because the process was fun at times.
- 46:09Yeah, you know, throughout the process, Like, oh my god,
- 46:14we got these two rookies. This is gonna be so except Daro sarach right
- 46:17or uh and or Ben Ben's back. Ben is in, he's smiling on
- 46:22the court. We have no rookies. We have Tobias Harris on an expiring
- 46:29deal. Is that exciting to you, Jeff, No, yeah, points
- 46:35last year, Like, like, nothing about this team is exciting or fun
- 46:38anymore, except except I will say that Max. He's awesome. Maxi's the
- 46:43absolutely highlight of the team. He's the bright spot. He's the guy you
- 46:46watch night and night out it's like, damn, he just he can get
- 46:50to the hole, he can finish. He's six feet tall, but he's
- 46:52got some dog in him. He's just he's he can be kind of an
- 46:54asshole. Love him, But the rest of the team, man like Pat
- 46:59Pat Patrick Beverley, people are going to get sick of Fast, even even
- 47:02Sixers fans, because he's it's it's it's not real, like it's kind of
- 47:07a put on. It's kind of a show. Yeah, e J.
- 47:09Tucker's fun to watch, but PJ. Tucker thirty nine years old ain't gonna
- 47:14be fun to watch, especially in the playoffs. Man and again, and
- 47:17just to watch that slob bring the ball up and just not care his head
- 47:25is down. Slob his he's on defense, his guy goes right by him,
- 47:31stand like you. He's going to be getting bowed so hard and he's
- 47:37gonna fake an injury. So it's to deal with it. It's just it
- 47:39just sucks that Nick Nurse is a really damn good coach and he's going to
- 47:45come into this situation and probably so frustrated thirty or forty games in like what
- 47:49the hell did I sign up for? It sucks? Yeah, and and
- 47:52and and and just the the chance of him being like getting really unhappy quickly
- 47:58and saying I've had enough, I'm a superstar. I want to go play
- 48:00somewhere else. And we know how the NBA works. Now, second that
- 48:05happens, it's over. He's not coming back. Like as soon as Dame
- 48:08was like I kind of wanted to go play somewhere else, it was done.
- 48:12He was going to get traded. Yeah, and every superstar now gets
- 48:15their way, And I mean, it'll be fun trying to figure out as
- 48:20the Sixers fan, like what can they get for him, Like what's the
- 48:23what team do we not want him to go to because I don't want to
- 48:25face him like the next couple of years. But but that like then then
- 48:30we're just like then we're we're looking at like how many years of like we're
- 48:35twenty five and you know, fifty, just awful, We're back to those
- 48:39days. Like it's just we're right on the precipice of that. So I
- 48:44guess I'm excited that this might be the last run, but it could be
- 48:47one of the ugliest last runs and just the team just implodes. So we're
- 48:52leaving on high hopes for folks it's high hopes here, folks at PSD,
- 48:58Yes, high hopes. Yes, let's go Phils. We thank you for
