- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast Finale Edition
- 0:10Speaker 2: Part two. Ben is at a conference right now, so
- 0:13Speaker 2: I'm going to meet with a panel of our Bachelor
- 0:16Speaker 2: faves and we're going to just get their opinion on
- 0:20Speaker 2: the finale. His his, uh, what would you call it? Rachel?
- 0:26Speaker 2: It's a Rachel rakia with us right now. Grants, it's
- 0:32Speaker 2: not a bad decision to pick somebody that you think
- 0:34Speaker 2: you're properly fit with. What's the bad decision here is
- 0:39Speaker 2: that you told the other girl it was her the
- 0:41Speaker 2: whole time.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Crazy crazy and going off that I don't even feel
- 0:47Speaker 3: like we were shown as like much as he did
- 0:50Speaker 3: say that, Like, I feel like I didn't realize so
- 0:53Speaker 3: she was sitting down on the couch. How much of
- 0:55Speaker 3: a switch up I guess this was. I don't know
- 0:58Speaker 3: the whole time I thought she was running away with it.
- 1:00Speaker 3: But as viewers like, we know, sometimes it's not how
- 1:05Speaker 3: you think it it. So I'm curious to hear your opinion.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Well, I gave my opinion for our audience to know
- 1:12Speaker 2: in the episode with Ben. Mine is just so I'll
- 1:16Speaker 2: just briefly summarize it here. I just I think that
- 1:22Speaker 2: he wanted somebody to date and not somebody to necessarily marry,
- 1:26Speaker 2: because he knew that Letia was like, we're on the
- 1:29Speaker 2: marriage path, We're on the kid's path within two years,
- 1:32Speaker 2: this is our timeline. I think he just knew that
- 1:35Speaker 2: with Juliana he could have more fun, he could kind
- 1:40Speaker 2: of play by year.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I also feel like there was I'm actually kind of
- 1:46Speaker 3: shocked they with this like confusion storyline because watching this
- 1:51Speaker 3: last episode, I feel like he could not be more
- 1:54Speaker 3: obvious it wasn't Letia.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, I didn't mention that. Yes, I didn't mentioned
- 2:00Speaker 2: that with Ben. I think that he was like really
- 2:04Speaker 2: happy to see that, like the Juliana's connection was catching
- 2:09Speaker 2: up with Latia because I think he started to feel
- 2:11Speaker 2: the Litia relationship was too heavy.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And the second he sat down with his dad, which
- 2:17Speaker 3: by the way, his conversation with his dad was probably
- 2:20Speaker 3: my favorite part of the episode, but not.
- 2:23Speaker 2: For me, not the not the final conversation with the dad,
- 2:28Speaker 2: but the conversation that he had during one of the
- 2:31Speaker 2: girl meet and greets where the dad started crying about
- 2:34Speaker 2: how he was going to be involved with his life going.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I know, and like, even after everything that he opened
- 2:40Speaker 3: up about on Gen season, like seeing this kind of
- 2:43Speaker 3: all come to a close for him, it was very nice.
- 2:45Speaker 3: But the second he started mentioning, he started like throwing
- 2:49Speaker 3: in seeds of doubt about Latia and about the king.
- 2:52Speaker 3: And I'm just so confused because Grant is thirty one,
- 2:56Speaker 3: and did he not say he wants kids? Like when
- 2:59Speaker 3: do you want those kids? It just felt like he
- 3:01Speaker 3: was looking for an excuse to pick Juliana. I don't
- 3:05Speaker 3: even know if it was that. It just felt like
- 3:08Speaker 3: he was looking for something.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I'm so glad you brought this up because this is
- 3:12Speaker 2: stuff that I didn't talk about with Ben. Yeah. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: think that he made that comment to his dad saying
- 3:19Speaker 2: like I played basketball my whole twenties, And it sounded
- 3:23Speaker 2: as if he wanted to say but couldn't say because
- 3:26Speaker 2: he's a bachelor. But it sounded like he wanted to
- 3:28Speaker 2: be like, and now I just want to have fun,
- 3:31Speaker 2: I want.
- 3:31Speaker 3: To travel, I want to like, you know, you're picking
- 3:34Speaker 3: your two decisions. Here are someone who is a little
- 3:37Speaker 3: bit older and who's ready for the family and ready
- 3:39Speaker 3: for every single thing that you said you wanted. First episode,
- 3:43Speaker 3: you stood there and you said, this is what I want.
- 3:47Speaker 3: But now you have this option. Okay, Juliana, she's a
- 3:50Speaker 3: little just a tiny bit younger, and it doesn't feel
- 3:53Speaker 3: like to him maybe as much pressure. And now that
- 3:56Speaker 3: this is really coming into the engagement, which all these
- 3:59Speaker 3: men too, I think don't realize they're actually getting engaged,
- 4:02Speaker 3: I know, like across the board. And I think now
- 4:05Speaker 3: he's like, oh shit, I'm getting engaged and now I
- 4:07Speaker 3: have to have a baby, Like he's just I don't know,
- 4:11Speaker 3: because I do think he has a great connection with Juliana.
- 4:13Speaker 3: But as a viewer, this definitely was a crazy switch
- 4:17Speaker 3: up at the end, but not at the very last minute.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I don't think he was conflicted at last minute.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I think that that was kind of built up too.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I think what he was conflicted about was that he
- 4:29Speaker 2: had said so many things Latia that he was like,
- 4:31Speaker 2: how do I get off the hook here? Uh huh,
- 4:34Speaker 2: I've just buried myself in lies, like this is what
- 4:37Speaker 2: I'm I'm scared about, not necessarily who I'm gonna who
- 4:42Speaker 2: I'm drawn to picking.
- 4:44Speaker 3: No, absolutely, and I'm I actually am shocked too that
- 4:47Speaker 3: they It feels like they protected him a lot with
- 4:50Speaker 3: this ending.
- 4:52Speaker 2: We think that they took a lot out of that,
- 4:54Speaker 2: like deciding term oil moment, because like he just they
- 4:59Speaker 2: teased it all season long, like he's gonna have He's
- 5:02Speaker 2: gonna go in thirty minutes beforehead not knowing. But we
- 5:05Speaker 2: didn't really see any of that emotional debate in his I.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Didn't see any debate. I saw him sit down with
- 5:13Speaker 3: Litia and basically try to get her to like have
- 5:17Speaker 3: doubt and he starts bringing up this kid's thing again
- 5:20Speaker 3: and she's like, no, it's fine, it's totally fine. We
- 5:23Speaker 3: could discuss how you feel in those three years, Like
- 5:26Speaker 3: she was literally saying, like anything you want, here's the plattern.
- 5:30Speaker 3: It just felt like he was trying to get hurt
- 5:33Speaker 3: a doubt because he was doubting. But then she said
- 5:36Speaker 3: that he was saying, I can't wait to get engaged tomorrow.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Why didn't they air that, like genuinely, where's the footage
- 5:42Speaker 3: of that? Because I believe her. I don't know.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Oh, I believe her too, and I'm dying to know
- 5:47Speaker 2: what was said in the finale. Yeah, I mean the
- 5:50Speaker 2: Fantasy sweep, the Fantasy sweep. And I also would love.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I mean, they would never do this to a lead,
- 5:56Speaker 2: though maybe there was like one lead, you know, maybe
- 5:59Speaker 2: like one.
- 6:00Speaker 3: I thought they were like protecting him, like especially having
- 6:07Speaker 3: the panel of leads come up and to distuss that
- 6:14Speaker 3: was crazy and I feel like it was overlooked how
- 6:16Speaker 3: crazy that was.
- 6:18Speaker 2: You're right, that was a defensive mode.
- 6:21Speaker 3: That was them being like you love you love Charity,
- 6:24Speaker 3: you love Gary. Look they did it too, you hate Clayton.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It felt like that's exactly what they were doing.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I love getting your take on that. That is so
- 6:34Speaker 2: so true. See overlooked in a dirty way, like you
- 6:39Speaker 2: know how like they they totally produced Jen's finale in
- 6:42Speaker 2: a dirty way where it was like, how could you
- 6:44Speaker 2: do this to her? So it's almost like they did
- 6:47Speaker 2: the opposite here where they were like too kind to him. Yes,
- 6:50Speaker 2: because if we wanted to do him dirty, then we
- 6:53Speaker 2: would roll the footage which they have of him on
- 6:56Speaker 2: FaceTime with Lttia's mom being like, wrap up this sh
- 7:00Speaker 2: now it's her.
- 7:01Speaker 3: And him being like she said on their last chance date,
- 7:05Speaker 3: he said, I can't wait to get engaged tomorrow.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yeah, now aired.
- 7:09Speaker 3: If that actually aired and the FaceTime aired, the world
- 7:12Speaker 3: would be destroying him where now, I feel like I've
- 7:15Speaker 3: seen a lot of people like hating on Latia. Really, yes,
- 7:19Speaker 3: have you not seen people are like the switch up
- 7:22Speaker 3: of the Tia was crazy. I'm like, he's lucky she
- 7:25Speaker 3: didn't freak out on him. She thought it was her.
- 7:29Speaker 2: She used her brain and not a lots as much
- 7:31Speaker 2: sas as she could have. She did use SaaS but
- 7:34Speaker 2: it was well articulated.
- 7:36Speaker 3: She is so much class. I would have been first
- 7:39Speaker 3: of all, me and you would have just been crying,
- 7:41Speaker 3: like emotional message. She was in shock, and I thought
- 7:44Speaker 3: handled herself great.
- 7:46Speaker 2: She did, She really did, which is crazy. I love
- 7:49Speaker 2: I love your take care. So seeing Clayton up there,
- 7:53Speaker 2: having you been one of the ones that he said
- 7:55Speaker 2: basically I love you too? Did he say I love
- 7:57Speaker 2: you to you?
- 7:58Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 7:58Speaker 3: And she told me I'm the first one he said
- 8:01Speaker 3: it to an eight years So of course I also
- 8:03Speaker 3: thought it was just I'm like, oh, it's just me,
- 8:06Speaker 3: like you always.
- 8:07Speaker 2: It's just you. Yeah. So how do you feel in
- 8:11Speaker 2: Latilla's shoes having been in such similar shoes, I don't know.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I think for me, no matter what he said to me,
- 8:20Speaker 3: I always knew there was a chance, like.
- 8:22Speaker 2: It wasn't me because he said things like I love you,
- 8:26Speaker 2: but he didn't say you're the one stop the show.
- 8:29Speaker 3: No, she never said that.
- 8:31Speaker 2: And I don't know.
- 8:32Speaker 3: I just think I was so aware of like the environment,
- 8:34Speaker 3: and I knew it could switch up. I didn't think
- 8:36Speaker 3: it would like I really thought I was running away
- 8:38Speaker 3: with it. But I can't imagine how she felt being
- 8:43Speaker 3: told I love you, it's you. Yeah, like that's end game.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Cut the tapes, he said. I think he did say
- 8:52Speaker 3: something along the lines of that in his Fantasy Sweet interview,
- 8:54Speaker 3: but I have no idea how she held it together.
- 9:01Speaker 2: So well, Well, I would still love to see you
- 9:03Speaker 2: in Bachelor and Paradise, which I know that you probably wouldn't.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You're not gonna do That's okay, I respect it. You
- 9:09Speaker 2: know that would have been your fourth show and you
- 9:11Speaker 2: were a lead, so you don't want to do Bachelor
- 9:13Speaker 2: of Paradise twice. But listen, what do you think about
- 9:17Speaker 2: the whole adding the goldens in?
- 9:19Speaker 3: I was going to ask you that, No.
- 9:21Speaker 2: No, no, no, nobody cares about my opinion. I already
- 9:23Speaker 2: gave it your turn. I hate it, okay, Ah, that's
- 9:26Speaker 2: the general consensus. It seems like people really did want
- 9:30Speaker 2: the Goldens to have their own mingle show, but they
- 9:34Speaker 2: didn't want it to be mixed.
- 9:35Speaker 3: I think there is just a special thing about Golden
- 9:39Speaker 3: and what makes it different is that it is wholesome
- 9:42Speaker 3: and it truly is about like finding love, and it's
- 9:45Speaker 3: such a deeper message. And I think Paradise just is messy.
- 9:49Speaker 3: It's produced to be messy. That's why people like it,
- 9:52Speaker 3: and I don't think watching them be messy is going
- 9:58Speaker 3: to give me entertainment. So feel like we have to
- 10:01Speaker 3: realize that everyone on that beach is an adult. And
- 10:04Speaker 3: I feel like producers are looking at it like, oh, clearly,
- 10:07Speaker 3: you know the Goldens are just gonna be interested in
- 10:09Speaker 3: the Goldens and they're gonna do But it's like they're
- 10:13Speaker 3: all adults, Like who knows, Like what is going to happen? Like,
- 10:16Speaker 3: I don't know. It just feels like a mess waiting
- 10:18Speaker 3: to happen unless they are separate. I don't know. Not
- 10:22Speaker 3: that's something bad would happen, but it just feels like
- 10:24Speaker 3: unnecessary mess that I'm not gonna want to watch.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I think to them, it sounds like a show that's
- 10:30Speaker 2: enticing for people to watch who've never watched before, you're
- 10:33Speaker 2: gonna be like, wait, there's old, older people dating on
- 10:37Speaker 2: a beach, and it's like it's like Love Island with
- 10:40Speaker 2: young people like, I mean, with older people like I
- 10:43Speaker 2: gotta check this one out. So that's I think it's
- 10:46Speaker 2: for getting new viewers in. I mean, this sounds awful.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Maybe this sounds awful, maybe, but I don't want them
- 10:55Speaker 2: to like I'm tired of them stealing the younger people's
- 10:57Speaker 2: thunder there are it. I feel like I feel like
- 11:02Speaker 2: they're kind of just taking up space for there to
- 11:05Speaker 2: be more bachelor young couples that, like, I don't know,
- 11:09Speaker 2: maybe I'm obviously saying this from somebody who met my
- 11:13Speaker 2: husband on the show.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I agree. And I also I was talking
- 11:17Speaker 3: to someone about this last night, and I mean, if
- 11:20Speaker 3: you look even back at me, Gabby, season, having so
- 11:23Speaker 3: many storylines makes it not fun to watch because there's
- 11:27Speaker 3: so many things happening. There's so many characters you can't
- 11:30Speaker 3: keep up. It feels like there's going to be so
- 11:33Speaker 3: much that's buried when we're going over like love story,
- 11:38Speaker 3: love story, and then you have all these golden love stories,
- 11:40Speaker 3: which they're going to take so much time on as well,
- 11:42Speaker 3: like we're not gonna see anything.
- 11:45Speaker 2: That's what Ben and I were saying, where like we
- 11:47Speaker 2: already feel like we're having storyline problems, we're not sewing
- 11:52Speaker 2: things up properly. That like this is just going to
- 11:55Speaker 2: add in more like how many people are going to
- 11:58Speaker 2: be there? Are you taking away people from the younger Beach?
- 12:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it's the younger beach, And we also
- 12:04Speaker 2: don't know whether they'll be on the same beach.
- 12:07Speaker 3: But even then, what are we going to go back
- 12:09Speaker 3: and forth? Like just storylines Like, Okay, now we're at
- 12:13Speaker 3: the old beach, now're at the young beach. We're gonna
- 12:15Speaker 3: miss so much from what I want to watch, which
- 12:18Speaker 3: is the young Beach. I want to watch the mess
- 12:20Speaker 3: and screaming and the running up and down, Like we're
- 12:22Speaker 3: gonna miss so much if we're going back and forth.
- 12:25Speaker 2: We just didn't need extra in Paradise because Paradise already
- 12:29Speaker 2: has so much extra, so many storylines that you don't
- 12:32Speaker 2: even see because there are so many people there. I
- 12:37Speaker 2: really like, I would have been so down for them
- 12:39Speaker 2: to do a Golden Paradise esque thing where it's like
- 12:43Speaker 2: Golden and Paradise and they like go to Aspen or something,
- 12:46Speaker 2: and like they all like live in a cabin.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I don't even know if I would have watched that
- 12:49Speaker 3: because it's just not wholesome.
- 12:51Speaker 2: I feel it's like you feel like that's not wholesome.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Do you think it's gonna be wholesome?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it could be. I think a lot
- 12:59Speaker 2: of these people, well, like a lot of you're being
- 13:01Speaker 2: very generous. I think they are wholesome too. But I
- 13:04Speaker 2: also think that like they're gonna they're gonna eat up
- 13:06Speaker 2: the drama.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Like I know, but do people want to watch old
- 13:09Speaker 3: people drama?
- 13:10Speaker 2: I think that maybe they do. You don't think people. Okay,
- 13:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to get Bob and because Bob and
- 13:17Speaker 2: Tester are coming up next, and you know they're they're
- 13:21Speaker 2: not Golden's yet, but they're closer to them than they
- 13:24Speaker 2: are too.
- 13:25Speaker 3: No, I don't know, I don't know.
- 13:28Speaker 2: No in there, I'm talking about their actual physical age. Okay.
- 13:33Speaker 3: I'm just I am so so so happy that I
- 13:35Speaker 3: went last year.
- 13:36Speaker 4: That's all I'll say. Because if I was.
- 13:38Speaker 3: About to go when I heard this news, I'd be
- 13:41Speaker 3: I'd be so mad. And I wonder if it is
- 13:43Speaker 3: gonna affect decisions of some people.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Are they gonna be at the same Rose ceremonies? Like
- 13:49Speaker 2: that would be weird, now, that would be crossing a line. No, No, it's.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Just and it's also like these like I don't know,
- 13:57Speaker 3: it just feels like unnecessary, like everyone there as an adult,
- 14:01Speaker 3: like who knows what lines are going to be? Like
- 14:04Speaker 3: I don't know, Yeah, it just are uncomfortable. I would
- 14:07Speaker 3: be you're comfortable.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Rachel, thanks for giving me your take,
- 14:11Speaker 2: and I love that it was different than what HA
- 14:13Speaker 2: been and I had already discussed. All Right, So we'll
- 14:15Speaker 2: see you next thing. You the greatest, all right, We'll
- 14:16Speaker 2: see you next time. There will always be so many
- 14:18Speaker 2: next times with Rachel. All Right, see you, Rachel. Trista
- 14:33Speaker 2: Sutter's here, guys. I need to pick up where I
- 14:37Speaker 2: just left off with Rachel. Racky with you right now.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:40Speaker 2: We were talking about the Golden Golden's in Paradise and
- 14:43Speaker 2: I said, you were like somewhere in between what in
- 14:47Speaker 2: the age groups? What is your take on this? Like
- 14:50Speaker 2: I need to know, like do you think she thought
- 14:52Speaker 2: it wasn't wholesome enough for the Goldens? And I'm like
- 14:55Speaker 2: I don't know. I think the Goldens like their drama.
- 14:58Speaker 5: I do too.
- 14:59Speaker 6: And actually the fact that Leslie's going to be on there,
- 15:01Speaker 6: like she is super excited about doing it, and I
- 15:07Speaker 6: feel like so part of me kind of agrees with Rachel.
- 15:12Speaker 6: And maybe the reason one of the reasons that I
- 15:15Speaker 6: loved Golden was because it was so wholesome.
- 15:18Speaker 7: But I also.
- 15:20Speaker 6: Feel that, like I'm starting to feel kind of what
- 15:24Speaker 6: Joan expressed on Golden Bachelor, and that was they feel invisible.
- 15:30Speaker 6: I feel that sometimes at my age, and I feel
- 15:35Speaker 6: like as you get older, you just start to feel invisible.
- 15:39Speaker 6: And they deserve love, you know, they deserve to find
- 15:42Speaker 6: it again. And if this is a way that they
- 15:44Speaker 6: can do it while they're having so much fun, because
- 15:47Speaker 6: Gary and Leslie like social, They're super social.
- 15:51Speaker 7: They are great.
- 15:52Speaker 6: Television, and I think, why not, like let them not
- 15:58Speaker 6: feel invisible and and and give us a great summer,
- 16:04Speaker 6: you know, of entertainment.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you're saying the exact opposite of what
- 16:07Speaker 2: I just said. I go, I feel like they're they're
- 16:09Speaker 2: they're they're they're stealing the younger people's thunder, Like they're
- 16:13Speaker 2: not going to even like do why is everything Golden
- 16:17Speaker 2: infiltrated Now.
- 16:20Speaker 6: I think it is because it was such a success.
- 16:24Speaker 6: You know, that's I would I would think. But you
- 16:28Speaker 6: know what, we'll we'll have to see because.
- 16:30Speaker 7: It's never been done before.
- 16:31Speaker 6: We'll have to see if people like it, if they
- 16:34Speaker 6: actually like it, Like they might get there and be like,
- 16:37Speaker 6: what the hell am I doing here? Like I should
- 16:39Speaker 6: not be here. Who knows, Like, who knows what's going
- 16:42Speaker 6: to happen. It will all depend on the cast. And
- 16:45Speaker 6: it's really funny because we Bob and I just had
- 16:50Speaker 6: Jonathan Rohne on the podcast and I specifically asked him,
- 16:57Speaker 6: would you do Golden Bachelor in Paradise if it was
- 17:00Speaker 6: a show not knowing that this was coming, like that
- 17:04Speaker 6: this was an announcement.
- 17:05Speaker 2: And he had just broken up with his girlfriend.
- 17:07Speaker 6: Yes, basically I think that he was like, I don't know,
- 17:12Speaker 6: you know, maybe Golden.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Bachelor, like if I was asked to be the Bachelor.
- 17:17Speaker 6: But yeah, I think I think it'll be really interesting.
- 17:21Speaker 6: I love the cast members that they've had. The only
- 17:25Speaker 6: thing that I feel is maybe a stretch is the
- 17:31Speaker 6: fact that they don't have a lot of cast to
- 17:33Speaker 6: draw from. You know, if there's only been two seasons,
- 17:37Speaker 6: so they don't have a lot of cast to draw from,
- 17:42Speaker 6: and maybe that's why they're combining it, you know.
- 17:45Speaker 7: And I wonder also how that's gonna work, Like.
- 17:47Speaker 6: Are they all going to be in the same you know,
- 17:52Speaker 6: like resort or whatever you guys called it, or are
- 17:56Speaker 6: they going to separate them and have them join together
- 17:58Speaker 6: like just hanging out during the day. Like I'm really
- 18:01Speaker 6: curious to find out what the format's going to be,
- 18:04Speaker 6: you know, how they're gonna do dates, if it's going
- 18:07Speaker 6: to be like just golden dates and then and then
- 18:09Speaker 6: like Zoe was up there and I'm thinking, gosh, you know,
- 18:14Speaker 6: there are relationships where there's a huge age gap, Like
- 18:18Speaker 6: maybe there's going to be a golden like non golden.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Do you think that's their hope?
- 18:23Speaker 6: I mean maybe for the producers because it would get
- 18:26Speaker 6: people talking. I don't see it happening, but I'm just really,
- 18:31Speaker 6: really really curious to see a format and who's going
- 18:35Speaker 6: to show up and what's going to happen this summer.
- 18:39Speaker 6: It's actually kind of exciting and it's getting us all talking.
- 18:42Speaker 7: So I think that's smart.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Who has not been announced that you would most certainly
- 18:49Speaker 2: like expect to see there.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Oh, I don't even know who's been announced.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I would expect to see Nancy there. Well, I mean
- 18:55Speaker 2: I guess I always see is Leslie and Gary. Yep,
- 19:00Speaker 2: beat a big Gary, not no bachelor Gary. And I'm
- 19:05Speaker 2: just like assuming that, Oh my god, how I'm forgetting
- 19:08Speaker 2: her name? Who's the third woman?
- 19:10Speaker 7: Susan?
- 19:11Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Not Susan and Cathy.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Susan and Kathy obviously are going to be there, obviously.
- 19:16Speaker 7: Yeah, they'll be there for sure.
- 19:18Speaker 2: And then and then who was it April? Why don't
- 19:21Speaker 2: want to April? April?
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, April.
- 19:24Speaker 6: I wonder if they'll bring her back because there was
- 19:25Speaker 6: kind of some drama it seemed like between her and
- 19:28Speaker 6: the other girls.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that would be good. And then Nancy, of course,
- 19:32Speaker 2: I think all the men want to see Nancy. And
- 19:34Speaker 2: then what about Faith Faith?
- 19:37Speaker 7: I love Faith. I wonder if she would do it.
- 19:42Speaker 6: But you know, I feel like, if they don't have
- 19:46Speaker 6: anything going on, it is exciting to just go hang
- 19:49Speaker 6: out at the beach. Hopefully it's going to be at
- 19:51Speaker 6: the beach this summer, and and see if there's a
- 19:57Speaker 6: love connection to be had. I don't know, I I
- 20:00Speaker 6: also think Jonathan would be great. I don't know if
- 20:04Speaker 6: he knew about Bachelor in Paradise when we talked to him.
- 20:08Speaker 6: I would love to see him on there. Oh and
- 20:10Speaker 6: Jonathan from Gentran season, I don't know if he's been announced.
- 20:13Speaker 2: It's definitely been there. He's great.
- 20:16Speaker 7: Okay, Okay, what about like.
- 20:20Speaker 6: Not old school, but older school people like Mike Johnson
- 20:26Speaker 6: and right, like, yeah, I would love to see him definitely.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Anyone who's single who was a bigger name back in
- 20:34Speaker 2: the twenty tens.
- 20:36Speaker 7: Yeah, right, yeah, right, no.
- 20:38Speaker 6: I And I'm you know, I think it'll all work
- 20:42Speaker 6: out as it should. But this season, I wonder about
- 20:49Speaker 6: Letia because there's not going to be a bachelorette.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Well that's what I was telling Ben. I was like,
- 20:55Speaker 2: Latia has to be in Paradise, and he was like.
- 20:57Speaker 7: No, he doesn't think she'll do it.
- 20:58Speaker 2: I think that Ben has like thing about Paradise. He
- 21:02Speaker 2: was never there, so I think that there's like almost
- 21:04Speaker 2: sort of a stigma. Event I might be wrong. He
- 21:08Speaker 2: should be here to answer for himself, but he says
- 21:12Speaker 2: he doesn't see her doing that. And I'm like, if
- 21:15Speaker 2: there's no Bachelor Wrette, you gotta do.
- 21:17Speaker 6: It right, and it's another chance to meet somebody, especially
- 21:24Speaker 6: if you were pretty serious.
- 21:26Speaker 7: And it seemed like she was pretty serious.
- 21:28Speaker 6: I mean, she might still be heartbroken even though she
- 21:31Speaker 6: seemed very solid and.
- 21:33Speaker 2: No, she's done, she's done. That was the kind of
- 21:36Speaker 2: breakup where she like doesn't even have to mourn it
- 21:39Speaker 2: because he was, as she said, such a different person
- 21:42Speaker 2: than she thought he was. That like, she's like, oh, whoops,
- 21:44Speaker 2: I was in love with somebody who was like kind
- 21:46Speaker 2: of a figment of my imagination.
- 21:48Speaker 6: Yeah, it was heartbreaking to me, but I was like,
- 21:52Speaker 6: you go, like, just speak your truth. I loved. One
- 21:57Speaker 6: of my friends texted me and she's like, oh, oh
- 22:00Speaker 6: my gosh.
- 22:01Speaker 7: She is such a rock star.
- 22:03Speaker 6: And her clarity, like she really was just so clear
- 22:07Speaker 6: in her thought process and like her like the way
- 22:11Speaker 6: that she's arrested.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yes, I'm like why, I'm like, it's like the hand
- 22:16Speaker 2: of Brown moment, you know, Yeah, why can't I be
- 22:19Speaker 2: like that when I'm upset, Just be like boom boom boom,
- 22:23Speaker 2: they're my points. You can't retaliate.
- 22:26Speaker 7: Uh huh.
- 22:27Speaker 2: No.
- 22:27Speaker 6: She was so clear and very articulate and so mature,
- 22:32Speaker 6: and she had all the receipts, you know, like she
- 22:35Speaker 6: was like, you said this, you said this, you said
- 22:38Speaker 6: it then then, and you said it the day before.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Like I don't know, I don't know. Grant and.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Juliana seem really happy, and I'm happy for them, and
- 22:53Speaker 6: I hope that it works because that's just who I am. Like,
- 22:56Speaker 6: I want all the couples to work out. But I
- 23:01Speaker 6: feel like unless Julianna doesn't watch the show, which could
- 23:05Speaker 6: possibly be the case because a lot of them don't
- 23:08Speaker 6: watch the show, I think she might have a hard
- 23:11Speaker 6: time with what happened between Grant and Matia.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I was very interested. I was very interested by the
- 23:18Speaker 2: fact that they seemed so happy dory hunky dory when
- 23:23Speaker 2: they met at the end on the couch, because I
- 23:26Speaker 2: was assuming that they would be like, oh, we've gone
- 23:29Speaker 2: through it.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Right, you're so right.
- 23:32Speaker 6: I was expecting that too, and they seem really happy.
- 23:35Speaker 6: So I wonder if she hasn't watched the show and
- 23:38Speaker 6: she's just trying to stay away from the gossip and
- 23:42Speaker 6: people talking about it, who knows. I feel like that's
- 23:45Speaker 6: kind of the only way you can be successful.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Is if you just kind of it.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, look at like Dez and Chris.
- 23:56Speaker 7: You know, I feel like her.
- 23:58Speaker 6: I don't think she said it was isn't exactly the same,
- 24:01Speaker 6: but I feel like her, and I think it was Brooks.
- 24:04Speaker 6: You know there was something between them and I Chris
- 24:06Speaker 6: didn't watch the show and.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Look at them.
- 24:09Speaker 7: They've got three kids now, you know, very happy.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Good good point. This almost is the most similar. That's
- 24:16Speaker 2: the most similar scenario that I can think to this
- 24:19Speaker 2: because they were just the entire time it was Brooks,
- 24:22Speaker 2: give me Brooks, gave me Brooks, and then it was like, no,
- 24:23Speaker 2: it's Chris. And I was like, oh, was that your
- 24:25Speaker 2: default exactly? But we now know that we know that
- 24:29Speaker 2: Juliana was not his default girl. No, he definitely picked her.
- 24:33Speaker 2: But I do think that he picked her because he
- 24:36Speaker 2: wanted to date someone, because they said he said, I'm
- 24:39Speaker 2: looking to have fun now after playing basketball for like
- 24:43Speaker 2: my twenties, and it's like, wait a second, this is
- 24:45Speaker 2: what Rachel just brought up. Didn't you start this season
- 24:49Speaker 2: being like I am ready to be serious right now?
- 24:52Speaker 6: One hundred. He definitely said that, and I think that's
- 24:56Speaker 6: too bad. You know that he got to the end
- 24:59Speaker 6: and he was like, oh, well, this whole timeline like
- 25:02Speaker 6: like Lytia was saying, like, I told you about my
- 25:04Speaker 6: timeline the second week, why are you bringing it up
- 25:08Speaker 6: the day before?
- 25:09Speaker 2: It was his way of getting out of it.
- 25:11Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I bet.
- 25:13Speaker 6: And I wonder if like the compatibility between them in
- 25:19Speaker 6: you know, more intimate moments was.
- 25:24Speaker 7: Made him happier with Juliana.
- 25:26Speaker 4: Who knows.
- 25:28Speaker 6: Okay, maybe there was more physical compatibility between them, and
- 25:33Speaker 6: he realized that later on. I don't know, but if
- 25:37Speaker 6: I was Letia, I would be pissed too, because he
- 25:41Speaker 6: definitely if he said all of those things, and I
- 25:44Speaker 6: one hundred percent believe that he said those things to her,
- 25:48Speaker 6: that that is one hundred percent leading her on, like
- 25:53Speaker 6: and he was like, what do you think that I was?
- 25:56Speaker 7: Did he say leading you on or misleading? Do you
- 25:59Speaker 7: think that I was leading? And She's like, yes, you.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Said let's get engaged tomorrow.
- 26:08Speaker 6: I know, and actually I So it's funny because Ryan
- 26:12Speaker 6: ended up watching the last half of the show with me,
- 26:14Speaker 6: or the last little part, like maybe fifteen minutes, and
- 26:20Speaker 6: I was like, that is why you don't tell people,
- 26:22Speaker 6: at least multiple people that you love them, Like you
- 26:24Speaker 6: don't say all of these things you have to be
- 26:26Speaker 6: thoughtful about what you're saying. And with Ryan and I
- 26:31Speaker 6: it was similar in the well the opposite. So I
- 26:34Speaker 6: didn't say I love you to anybody, and I waited
- 26:37Speaker 6: to even tell him even though I was in love
- 26:39Speaker 6: with him until we were standing face to face and
- 26:44Speaker 6: getting engaged because Alex Michelle told me two days before
- 26:50Speaker 6: the final Rose ceremony that he was going to pick me,
- 26:52Speaker 6: and so I totally went into it thinking, like Letia,
- 26:55Speaker 6: like I'm getting engaged today and it just breaks your heart,
- 26:59Speaker 6: Like as didn't tell me all of the rest of.
- 27:01Speaker 7: Those things that Grant told Lytia. So I don't, and
- 27:05Speaker 7: I don't.
- 27:06Speaker 6: I don't claim to know what she's going through in
- 27:09Speaker 6: terms of that, but I do know that it is
- 27:12Speaker 6: heartbreaking when you are thinking one thing that your life
- 27:15Speaker 6: is about to change in the best way then the
- 27:18Speaker 6: way that you hoped for when you started the show,
- 27:21Speaker 6: and then all of a sudden you're like.
- 27:24Speaker 7: Whoa, whoa, whoa is this reality? Like what is happening?
- 27:30Speaker 2: Well, he just took it a step further because now
- 27:33Speaker 2: on the show you're like, oh, if you say I
- 27:35Speaker 2: love you doesn't mean it's necessarily me because we've seen
- 27:39Speaker 2: it before where it's not actually that person and if
- 27:41Speaker 2: you are a scholar of Bachelor history and you're on
- 27:44Speaker 2: the show, you could know that. Yeah, and the but
- 27:47Speaker 2: Grant really took it a step further by saying like
- 27:50Speaker 2: you're the one stop the show blah blah blah, and
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm like, totally they they protected him.
- 27:57Speaker 7: Yeah, no kidding.
- 27:58Speaker 6: They did not show any of that to us, just
- 28:02Speaker 6: until the very end. So I mean, Letia will land
- 28:06Speaker 6: on her feet. She is I feel like the whole package.
- 28:10Speaker 7: Oh yeah, my gosh. I just I love her. If
- 28:13Speaker 7: they were having Bachelorette she would be but never chee win.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I felt more connected to her than I felt connected
- 28:21Speaker 2: to a Bachelor contestant in a while.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I loved her.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Maybe I guess Joey. I guess we all like Joey. Actually,
- 28:28Speaker 2: I liked Joey on Charity season was great, Yeah, but
- 28:32Speaker 2: I didn't like wasn't like obsessed with it, Like, of
- 28:34Speaker 2: course not suss with Joey, but like I didn't think.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I didn't think like, wow, this is a great Bachelor
- 28:40Speaker 2: character until he was like announced as the lead. Then
- 28:43Speaker 2: he like had that haircut and like kind of a
- 28:45Speaker 2: glow up and he was, and everybody was making like
- 28:48Speaker 2: the tiktoks about it, and I was like, Oh, I
- 28:51Speaker 2: love what he's doing for the franchise, and I feel
- 28:55Speaker 2: like I love what Latilla has done for me. Is
- 28:57Speaker 2: a your as well. Finally somebody who I'm like, no, girl,
- 29:02Speaker 2: you rock. You find someone really really deserving of you.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Yes, she deserves it. And I really really really hope
- 29:11Speaker 6: that she opens up her heart again because when she
- 29:13Speaker 6: said that, I've never said I love you to anybody
- 29:15Speaker 6: I've ever been in a relationship with, because I feel
- 29:18Speaker 6: like it opens the doors to me being hurt or
- 29:21Speaker 6: it's more likely that I'm going to be hurt or
- 29:23Speaker 6: that's going to be taken away from me. Oh. It
- 29:26Speaker 6: broke my heart because I was like, she just opened
- 29:30Speaker 6: up and did this, and then she got her heart broken.
- 29:33Speaker 6: So I really really hope that that doesn't dissuade her
- 29:36Speaker 6: from opening her heart again.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah. All right, Well we have Bob coming on next.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Is there anything that you think that Bob would be
- 29:43Speaker 2: especially wonderful at talking about recording this episode.
- 29:47Speaker 6: I think the Golden stuff for sure, because he's met
- 29:50Speaker 6: a lot of those people you know with you or
- 29:53Speaker 6: you know, I don't. I don't know that you were there,
- 29:55Speaker 6: but I feel like he's met a bunch of the
- 29:57Speaker 6: Golden people, so I think he'll have a good insight
- 30:03Speaker 6: into how that's going to go down. And I think
- 30:07Speaker 6: he'll he'll speak his mind when it comes to how
- 30:09Speaker 6: he feels about Golden Bachelor in Paradise just in general,
- 30:13Speaker 6: you know, yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah, alrighty, thanks Trista. We're going to get him on now,
- 30:19Speaker 2: talk about I know he'll be so good. Oh yeah, Trista,
- 30:23Speaker 2: thank you so much for all of your thoughts.
- 30:25Speaker 7: Of course, thanks for having me.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Bob.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Hello there, Well, hi, Hi, how are you?
- 30:33Speaker 5: I am great? How are you doing today?
- 30:35Speaker 2: I'm doing fine. I wanted to ask you because Trista
- 30:39Speaker 2: told me that you would have some interesting insight into
- 30:42Speaker 2: this announcement that Paradise is going golden.
- 30:46Speaker 8: So yes, I'm actually very excited about this, and I think,
- 30:53Speaker 8: you know, I've had some conversations with people where they
- 30:56Speaker 8: think it could be a little gross.
- 30:59Speaker 5: I think it could be a little awesome, you know.
- 31:02Speaker 5: I mean, I love the building cast.
- 31:04Speaker 8: I spent a lot of time with them, and I
- 31:06Speaker 8: feel like there's a couple of people there in particular
- 31:08Speaker 8: who will be really fun and make it very memorable.
- 31:11Speaker 5: So you know, I don't know. I mean, what are
- 31:14Speaker 5: your thoughts on it?
- 31:15Speaker 2: Well, my thoughts are probably unpopular. I just like, I
- 31:18Speaker 2: don't want more, I don't want time taking away from
- 31:20Speaker 2: the Traditional Paradise. I would have liked a totally separate
- 31:24Speaker 2: Golden Golden in Paradise. Yeah, or at least like a
- 31:28Speaker 2: separate show. So we have two hours of Traditional Paradise
- 31:31Speaker 2: and then like an hour of Golden Paradise. That'd be
- 31:34Speaker 2: fun on a different day. Usually it's like Monday and Tuesday.
- 31:37Speaker 2: So I'm down for that. Do you see there being
- 31:41Speaker 2: a possible problem with like there being a crossover couple?
- 31:47Speaker 8: Wait a minute, are you telling me that they're going
- 31:49Speaker 8: to have Goldens on the same season with the traditional.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Yes?
- 31:57Speaker 5: Oh, I thought it was going to be all Goldens.
- 32:00Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 32:01Speaker 5: Oh boy, Young Young and there's a crossover couple.
- 32:04Speaker 3: What in the world.
- 32:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, now I'm bothered.
- 32:11Speaker 8: No, I wouldn't say that I'm bothered, but now I'm like,
- 32:14Speaker 8: I'm a little taken aback.
- 32:16Speaker 5: Okay, I'm a little little taken aback. That's interesting, that's interesting.
- 32:21Speaker 8: Okay, now I see why why there's uh, I see
- 32:25Speaker 8: why there's.
- 32:25Speaker 5: The apprehension now, all right, So.
- 32:28Speaker 8: Yes, I can see the apprehension. I don't foresee a
- 32:32Speaker 8: crossover couple. I foresee everybody staying in their lane.
- 32:36Speaker 2: It could be across flirting.
- 32:38Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I could see that.
- 32:40Speaker 8: A couple of the a couple of the you know,
- 32:42Speaker 8: the golden guys will probably flirt with everybody, right, especially
- 32:45Speaker 8: if they cast a few people on there.
- 32:47Speaker 2: I could see that double standard. It'll be sort of
- 32:50Speaker 2: sweet to see if the younger guys are flirting with
- 32:54Speaker 2: the older ladies, but it would be so creepy to
- 32:58Speaker 2: see the older guy looking at the younger women.
- 33:02Speaker 8: Yeah, there's gonna need to be some camp counseling prior
- 33:06Speaker 8: to arriving to that island, and it's gonna have to
- 33:09Speaker 8: be like, okay, guys, look, stay in your lane, don't
- 33:12Speaker 8: be that creepy grandpa. And then you know, all right,
- 33:16Speaker 8: young young dudes, you can be flirty and fun, but
- 33:20Speaker 8: don't go you know, don't.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Yeah, be ridiculous. I don't know. It's gonna be interesting.
- 33:26Speaker 5: It's definitely gonna be interesting. Now that. Wow, I totally
- 33:28Speaker 5: misunderstood what was happening here.
- 33:31Speaker 8: Oh my God, Okay, I got a whole new reboot
- 33:35Speaker 8: on my thought process, I was thinking full golden Paradise,
- 33:38Speaker 8: and I thought that'd be awesome. And then but I
- 33:40Speaker 8: also thought, like you were saying, like a conventional paradise
- 33:43Speaker 8: or dare we say, a younger paradise as well. And
- 33:45Speaker 8: so that's kind of what I was thinking, was two
- 33:48Speaker 8: separate shows running at the same time. I didn't realize
- 33:50Speaker 8: that they'd be running at the same place at the
- 33:52Speaker 8: same time that that could be interesting.
- 33:56Speaker 2: It's it's unclear how they will handle where, who's day where,
- 34:01Speaker 2: and it'll be at a new resort. So what's your
- 34:03Speaker 2: general takeaway.
- 34:05Speaker 8: You know, I mean, okay, I feel I watched I
- 34:10Speaker 8: watched an episode that you invented recently about your thoughts
- 34:14Speaker 8: on I'm not really feeling like you've gotten to know
- 34:17Speaker 8: this bachelor. And I feel the same way like I
- 34:19Speaker 8: feel like i'm sort of I feel like I like them,
- 34:22Speaker 8: I like what I know, but I don't feel like
- 34:24Speaker 8: I'm not to that next level where I feel like
- 34:26Speaker 8: I know this dude, super nice guy yep. And so
- 34:30Speaker 8: I'm hopeful, you know, I'm hopeful about this one that
- 34:32Speaker 8: it all works out and and you know, I mean
- 34:35Speaker 8: I was. I was hoping for that union. I was
- 34:38Speaker 8: hoping for the two of them to end up together.
- 34:40Speaker 2: You were hoping for Juliana.
- 34:42Speaker 8: I actually was, yeah, And I know I think I was.
- 34:45Speaker 8: I was a rarity there as well, right, because everyone's
- 34:48Speaker 8: sort of but see, here's my here's my thought process.
- 34:50Speaker 8: Like I feel like, you know, what's old is new again, right,
- 34:54Speaker 8: And what The Bachelor did on this particular season was,
- 34:57Speaker 8: I think was what they used to do back in
- 34:58Speaker 8: the early seasons, where they always make you think the
- 35:01Speaker 8: runner up is going to be your you know, the
- 35:05Speaker 8: final Rose recipient, and so you buy it's by everything
- 35:10Speaker 8: that you're watching on the show. You're like, oh, it's
- 35:11Speaker 8: obviously going to be Letia, Whereas I, on the other hand,
- 35:14Speaker 8: was like, I feel like this is an old school
- 35:15Speaker 8: bait and switch move they're doing to me. I think
- 35:17Speaker 8: Juliana is the one that he's vibing with, and they're
- 35:20Speaker 8: trying to make me think it's the other one l
- 35:23Speaker 8: And so I was sort of like banking on Juliana,
- 35:27Speaker 8: and I do think they have like, you know, here's
- 35:30Speaker 8: what's going to be tough, right, is that every season
- 35:33Speaker 8: and we know of one in particular very well. That
- 35:36Speaker 8: ends with the guy saying he loves both women.
- 35:39Speaker 2: He's already done his rant about it today.
- 35:41Speaker 8: Yes, yes, yes, but I understand it, like I really
- 35:44Speaker 8: do understand it, and I don't think people who don't
- 35:47Speaker 8: go through a show like this could possibly understand it
- 35:51Speaker 8: that how is it at the end of the season,
- 35:52Speaker 8: I end up saying I love you to two different people.
- 35:55Speaker 8: I will say on my season, I definitely had very
- 35:58Speaker 8: strong feelings for both of my final too, and so
- 36:00Speaker 8: I almost did the opposite, Whereas you know, because of
- 36:04Speaker 8: my fear of emotional commitment at that time, I like
- 36:07Speaker 8: put the brakes on completely and didn't propose to anybody.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Right was that the right answer? I don't know.
- 36:12Speaker 8: But you see these people that go through this experience,
- 36:14Speaker 8: and at the end of it, they're like sitting there,
- 36:16Speaker 8: really torn between two people, and it doesn't seem like
- 36:20Speaker 8: that should be the case that anyone would have that
- 36:22Speaker 8: kind of feeling. But when they do, you know, and
- 36:25Speaker 8: then they make their decision, I feel like maybe that
- 36:29Speaker 8: gives them a better chance of you know, they they've
- 36:32Speaker 8: been through a little bit of trial and tribulation. They
- 36:34Speaker 8: had to make a decision that wasn't obvious. And you know,
- 36:36Speaker 8: I mean I always think about for me, you know,
- 36:39Speaker 8: I mean I was unlucky in love until my wife now.
- 36:42Speaker 5: And you know, I when we first were.
- 36:45Speaker 8: Together, I remember thinking, well, this is just gonna be
- 36:47Speaker 8: casual because I don't I don't want this, you know,
- 36:49Speaker 8: to I don't want to be in a serious relationship.
- 36:51Speaker 8: And you know, the whole time, like jokingly, twelve years
- 36:54Speaker 8: later with two children, and she's always like, yeah, we
- 36:56Speaker 8: got two casual kids. We spent twelve casual years. You know,
- 36:59Speaker 8: she mess with me. But you know, sometimes I feel
- 37:02Speaker 8: like maybe people go through that challenge early and then
- 37:06Speaker 8: they end up on the other side of it and
- 37:07Speaker 8: they're so thankful they went through it, you know. And
- 37:10Speaker 8: I mean, I don't know, I think that there's something
- 37:12Speaker 8: to it. I don't know, if you're outside of the
- 37:14Speaker 8: circumstance of the Bachelor, Aura, does that argument stand. No,
- 37:19Speaker 8: it doesn't, but you know, in these circumstances, maybe it does. Bob.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I appreciate that perspective because it is different than what
- 37:25Speaker 2: us ladies have been talking about earlier in the episode.
- 37:28Speaker 5: So thank you for that, and I get it.
- 37:30Speaker 8: I think I think if I'm a lady and this
- 37:32Speaker 8: dude is told and I have to watch this finale
- 37:35Speaker 8: where I know I'm going to be the one with
- 37:37Speaker 8: the ring at the end of this thing. And I
- 37:38Speaker 8: see him telling another girl the same thing he told me,
- 37:41Speaker 8: I would lose my mind.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah, Bob, thanks for joining us. We're gonna get Susie
- 37:46Speaker 2: on here next and awesome. See we'll see her take
- 37:50Speaker 2: on all of this.
- 37:51Speaker 8: I'm excited to hear it. Thank you for having me, Ashley,
- 37:53Speaker 8: always a pleasure.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Joy Mexico. Bye, Nah, Susie Evans is joining us. Now, Susie,
- 38:09Speaker 2: you were the winner of a season in which the
- 38:13Speaker 2: lead said I love you to multiple people, led on
- 38:17Speaker 2: multiple people. You might want to say, how does it
- 38:20Speaker 2: feel being in Juliana's shoes?
- 38:21Speaker 5: Now?
- 38:22Speaker 8: Oh?
- 38:23Speaker 4: I had so much empathy for her last night and
- 38:28Speaker 4: compassion for both of them because it was just it
- 38:32Speaker 4: was so sad to watch here because you're like watching
- 38:35Speaker 4: Letia go through this and you're like rooting for her
- 38:37Speaker 4: and you're like, grand so worse, Oh my god, how
- 38:39Speaker 4: did he do this? And then you see that he
- 38:42Speaker 4: also like has this strong relationship with Juliana and he
- 38:46Speaker 4: loves her too, and that she's this beautiful, kind person
- 38:49Speaker 4: and like she just yeah, it's so it's so complicated.
- 38:52Speaker 4: It feels like it feels like shit. If I'm being honest,
- 38:55Speaker 4: like I remember that feeling, and it's like, Okay, nobody
- 38:59Speaker 4: wants to celebrate us. Nobody wants to, you know, embrace us,
- 39:04Speaker 4: like we came off and we felt Me and Clayton
- 39:06Speaker 4: felt like the rejects of like Bachelor Nation for a
- 39:08Speaker 4: long time, to be honest, and it's like it's a
- 39:11Speaker 4: really hard position to be in, but it's tough. I'm like,
- 39:16Speaker 4: I just sent to your message before getting on here,
- 39:17Speaker 4: like you did amazing and you know I'm here for you.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Oh that's sweet, because yeah, that's my issue. It's like
- 39:24Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Julianna, have absolutely nothing against you. I'm just
- 39:27Speaker 2: not thinking about you today. I'm just thinking about let
- 39:30Speaker 2: yeah I know.
- 39:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 39:32Speaker 4: That was like the press little press thing we did
- 39:35Speaker 4: after our season. Every it's like we joined. It's like, okay,
- 39:38Speaker 4: we're the happy couple and it's like so Gabby and
- 39:41Speaker 4: Rachel and I was like, oh no, we're not going
- 39:43Speaker 4: to talk about Clayton. I okay, cool, coo cool, Like
- 39:45Speaker 4: it's it really is like you know, that's just how
- 39:48Speaker 4: it goes for in these scenarios. Specifically, I think.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Mm hmm, you saw Clayton last night. You were in
- 39:54Speaker 2: the audience.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, we sat like kitty corner to each other's
- 39:57Speaker 4: right behind me.
- 39:59Speaker 2: How U how long has it been since you guys
- 40:01Speaker 2: saw each other?
- 40:02Speaker 4: I think I saw him last summer.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Okay, So it's not like super awkward if you guys
- 40:07Speaker 2: get put together in a moment like that.
- 40:10Speaker 4: We talked so much shit. Literally, the producers were like, hey, like,
- 40:14Speaker 4: is Clayton's going to be there? I don't know, And
- 40:16Speaker 4: they texted him and I was like, oh my god,
- 40:19Speaker 4: no worries. And he wrote back, was like she's the worst.
- 40:21Speaker 4: Don't sit here by me. And they're like, oh god,
- 40:23Speaker 4: what's gonna happen. He's like, you guys, I'm kidding. We're fine.
- 40:27Speaker 2: That's hilarious. Yeah. So what do you think about the
- 40:32Speaker 2: fact that they seemingly I want to say that they
- 40:36Speaker 2: kind of they protected they protected Grant by like having
- 40:42Speaker 2: a panel with Clayton on there, just just to kind
- 40:45Speaker 2: of show like, hey, guys, this happens. Sometimes people are
- 40:50Speaker 2: really confused at the end and they say, I love
- 40:51Speaker 2: you to two people. And then they also didn't show
- 40:54Speaker 2: us a lot of the times that Grant had said
- 40:59Speaker 2: really affirming things to Latia.
- 41:02Speaker 4: I know, well that's the hard part because as as
- 41:07Speaker 4: much as I do want to celebrate Grant and Juliana,
- 41:11Speaker 4: I also am like realistically it felt messed up like
- 41:16Speaker 4: watching it and it's just really complicated. But I do
- 41:21Speaker 4: have a lot of compassion because I know, like first hand,
- 41:25Speaker 4: I read Clayton's journal. He literally sat down and he
- 41:29Speaker 4: like like showed me the pages of his journal where
- 41:31Speaker 4: he like genuinely thought he was in love with three
- 41:35Speaker 4: people and was so confused. And so I obviously don't
- 41:40Speaker 4: know the position Grant was, and it seemed like he
- 41:41Speaker 4: was like Julia or you know, all in on Latia,
- 41:44Speaker 4: and then it seemed like there was a switch up.
- 41:46Speaker 4: I don't know, but I think the show, I mean
- 41:52Speaker 4: to an extent, I feel like people didn't embrace this
- 41:54Speaker 4: season entirely, which I feel like Clayton went through that
- 41:57Speaker 4: same thing, where like from the get go, like people
- 42:00Speaker 4: weren't really like into it, and you have to have
- 42:04Speaker 4: something to root for, and we don't have a Bachelorette season,
- 42:07Speaker 4: so we don't so Latia is just going out into
- 42:09Speaker 4: the world right now, so it's like you got to
- 42:11Speaker 4: root for somebody, so they're really like they have to
- 42:14Speaker 4: do something. And I think Grant is a good person.
- 42:16Speaker 4: He I do just think he was confused. So I think, yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 4: I think the panel was a good idea because it
- 42:22Speaker 4: is true even like Charity, who I think is like
- 42:24Speaker 4: so respected and so like she's, you know, just this
- 42:29Speaker 4: great person in bacheloration that people like look to and
- 42:31Speaker 4: are like, oh, she's like her relationship is working. She's
- 42:35Speaker 4: a good human. But she told to people that she
- 42:37Speaker 4: loved them too, and she's like it is very confusing
- 42:40Speaker 4: when you get to the end.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I know, I know, I just feel like it was
- 42:45Speaker 2: I know that I feel like a broken record. We've
- 42:47Speaker 2: been recapping this episode for like two hours now, and
- 42:50Speaker 2: I just keep coming back to the fact that like Clayton,
- 42:53Speaker 2: even he was a very flawed bachelor, but he seemed
- 42:59Speaker 2: to be like racked over his decision making, and like,
- 43:03Speaker 2: you know, we had like these huge emotional moments from him. Yeah,
- 43:07Speaker 2: and with Grant, it was just kind of like, Okay,
- 43:10Speaker 2: here's my decision. It was hard. Yeah, we didn't we
- 43:14Speaker 2: didn't get a lot of emotion from Grant.
- 43:17Speaker 4: I yeah, you know what. I thought that too. I
- 43:19Speaker 4: felt like there wasn't a jump the fence. He wasn't
- 43:23Speaker 4: saying I'm so broken we didn't get sat But I
- 43:28Speaker 4: will say, and this is just me looking at the
- 43:32Speaker 4: at his face. He looked sick to his stomach the
- 43:34Speaker 4: last like two episodes, I know, and like every time
- 43:38Speaker 4: I would see him, I was just like, he either
- 43:40Speaker 4: has a stomach bug or like he has major anxieties.
- 43:44Speaker 4: I was like, I've been there and I know that feeling,
- 43:46Speaker 4: because his face just looked like he just looked unwell.
- 43:50Speaker 4: Even when he was like talking to both the girls,
- 43:52Speaker 4: I was like, he doesn't look good. But I don't
- 43:55Speaker 4: know if that's because he was like so stressed about it.
- 43:59Speaker 4: But yeah, we never saw this emotional breakdown. But then
- 44:01Speaker 4: I'm also like, some people aren't like that.
- 44:03Speaker 2: It's probably what it was. He probably very vocal about
- 44:07Speaker 2: his anxieties.
- 44:08Speaker 4: That's true, but I know, I mean, you're a crier.
- 44:11Speaker 4: I'm a crier. I'm a baby, so it's like I
- 44:14Speaker 4: can't relate. I'm like I would literally be in shambles.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Maybe that's why I'm so weirded out. By it. Yeah,
- 44:21Speaker 2: it keeps it all in. I can't really Susie any
- 44:26Speaker 2: final thoughts about this season.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Oh man, I guess just like my thoughts are like
- 44:32Speaker 4: to everybody, I'm like, be kind. It's like, it is
- 44:34Speaker 4: so hard to be in that position. It really is
- 44:37Speaker 4: so hard to be on such a public platform and
- 44:39Speaker 4: not feel like people want to celebrate you or your love.
- 44:42Speaker 4: And like, yeah, you know, I hope that it's the
- 44:45Speaker 4: right they're the right match, you never know, but if
- 44:47Speaker 4: nothing else, I hope that they're both okay and that
- 44:50Speaker 4: people are nice to them online for the most part.
- 44:52Speaker 4: You know, you can give Grant a little bit of
- 44:54Speaker 4: a hard time, but like, but don't give Juliana anything.
- 44:57Speaker 4: She's she's apposed.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Yes, Juliana is one percent out of this equation. It's
- 45:02Speaker 2: glad that they're moving to Boston to be close to
- 45:04Speaker 2: her family because I just think that was a non negotiable.
- 45:07Speaker 5: I love that.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and I would love a follow up with her
- 45:11Speaker 2: dad to see like what he really thinks after watching this.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Yeah, it's painful, I'm sure.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Yeah, all righty Well, thank you Susie, and thank you
- 45:21Speaker 2: to everybody on this panel, and thank you all out
- 45:23Speaker 2: there for listening to us recap Grant season, and up
- 45:27Speaker 2: next we have Actulor in Paradise, which, Susie, are you
- 45:30Speaker 2: going to be there with Justin?
- 45:32Speaker 4: Oh gosh, we'll throw Clayton in too, why not, let's all.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Both of them. I know that you and Clayton won't. Ever,
- 45:40Speaker 2: that's not a reconcilable path. I don't think that I
- 45:43Speaker 2: with Justin. I think that would be some big emotions there.
- 45:47Speaker 4: I'd be sick to my stomach. Yeah, I got I
- 45:49Speaker 4: think everyone has big decisions to make.
- 45:51Speaker 2: I'm sure, and I think I'll see you all there.
- 45:54Speaker 4: You think so?
- 45:55Speaker 2: Yeah? I think so, all of you, all three of us,
- 45:59Speaker 2: all three of you.
- 45:59Speaker 4: It's X on the Beach.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I like that already. Yeah, let's call it Bachelor of
- 46:04Speaker 2: Paradise meets X on the Beach. See you guys, bye.
