- 0:37[SPEAKER_04]: What mark what but because he's also running for congressmen in our own district here in the state of Marcus shares on the show today Mark how are you?
- 0:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'm great guys.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks for having yeah You can't hear the applause, but we're giving it to you the producers given it to you Welcome to the show look we love having candidates like you on who and I hope you don't mind me saying this off the top but
- 1:04[SPEAKER_04]: Or rich enough that this job doesn't mean anything unless you're doing it for a reason.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_04]: It seems like you're doing this for a reason and it seems like it's for you and your family.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's, well, it's really for the country, you know, I mean, I truly believe that bureaucrats and lifetime politicians have ruined Washington D.C. too many candidates go up to D.C. to become rich and famous.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: God bless me with a baseball career.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm already rich in famous.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing this to serve this country.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: I believe very strongly in that.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: My faith is the most important thing in my life.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible tells us to serve and this is my opportunity to serve the country I love.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, there was a neighbor of mine.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_04]: There's a huge sign in front of our neighborhood for you.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_04]: And he said, hey, you got to get Mark on the show.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_04]: And I said, great, we'll reach out and go, is that real is he actually running for counters?
- 1:48[SPEAKER_04]: Because what I told him was, he definitely doesn't need it.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_04]: Dan and I know everybody, yeah, athletically behind the scenes.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_04]: And we know people who've blown their money, which I'm sure you know a ton of those guys.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_04]: And then people who've saved their money and done well, you don't need this job.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: No, and it's one of those things that, you know, I had a life after baseball.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I retired in 2016 for the last 10 years.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: I've been, you know, investing in real estate, investing in small businesses and startups, very involved in my church and my kids' school and my kids are older now.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've got three teenagers.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so I've had that second life as a non-athlete, non-based ball player.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you know, for the rest of my life, I want to serve the country and serve my God that I love.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: And this is a great opportunity for me to do that.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: How do your kids?
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I have a freshman at Texas A&M.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: He's my oldest son, my daughter.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_04]: Is he playing ball?
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, oh, my, oh, my boy, my two boys.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: They both retired from baseball after middle school.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: OK, baseball.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't love baseball, it's hard.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_04]: It is.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_04]: And especially in the theater, Texas.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so my kids, they, they played up until middle school and then they hung up the cleats.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: But, so my oldest is, they and my daughter is a senior in high school.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: She's going to university of Texas next year and then I have a freshman in high school.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: My youngest son.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: So kids are getting older and your parents came through college station when you were younger.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: I did.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: I did.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: I lived in college station for three years as a kid during the Jackie Cheryl days.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: So for, for all of the A and M fans out there when I told them when I lived in college station, they were like, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: Did those were like the glory you know.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: If you're going to be in college station, that would have been a good time.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: We went to every single game.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: We went to Yale practice.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: We went to the bonfires.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: We did it all.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: We, like, we immersed ourselves.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: We don't do the bonfire anymore, right?
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: Because something happened.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: Something happened.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_03]: Some shit went down.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_03]: They tried to, what was that Nick Cage movie?
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: Bob.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Wicker man.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was a hard way to find out that the engineering school wasn't as good as they thought it was.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_04]: It's engineering, sure was, but hell of a team back then, no doubt.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_04]: And I think it's smart that your kids don't play.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: I really do, to have that last name on the back of the jersey.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_04]: What's face?
- 3:53[SPEAKER_04]: You're the only to share an America that we know.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_04]: They're for it.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_04]: They would have to try to live up to that.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_04]: That could ruin their life and, I mean, he only had four or nine whole rounds.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't have seen that.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_04]: That's big shoes to fill for dad.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: It was not easy for them and I give my kids so much credit.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Well, first of all, they have an amazing mom.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's why they're such great kids, but, you know, they did feel that pressure and it was unfair.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they expected my boys to be the best player on the team to homerons every game.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: And like my kids just wanted to play and have fun, which is what sports are for.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_04]: And for me, I grew up with it, and I played with some of the brave kids all through growing up.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_04]: So Chris Chambles was the first.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: And he legends.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_04]: Legend of Land of Braves also shows my age there, but with that, it's a tough name to live up to, and then Jean Garber.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_04]: Jean Garber's kid also played after it, and it was just, it just kept going up, and it was like, Yeah, this is going to turn out.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my poor kids, like, I finally, like, they got out of the shadow of my baseball career, and now I'm jumping into politics.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: So they're like, oh gosh, now we're expected to go, you know, run for office someday.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, no, kids, you do whatever you want to do.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like my mom and dad have told you we want to give you every opportunity like my old son he's he's going into landscape architecture like he wants to work with his hands he wants to be outside my daughter's going to go into communication she loves working with people and my youngest son you know he's got to get his grades up so we can get into college so there's a but the kids always more of them I can't read so doesn't A&M have a golf course management uh... they have an A&M student to A&M yeah you can pretty much
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Get any degree you want there and it's it's an awesome school.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: I know somebody that line up there for golf course man You know how much money those fucking people make oh it is obscene.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_04]: It's like 150 year one 175 You go to some of the top courses.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's a more that's just for like
- 5:42[SPEAKER_03]: Driftwood golf course.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah talking about like a real one.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_03]: We started about country go with the South.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's you know, you used to make a 150 they are let alone like the bigger course.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's ridiculous.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_04]: And it's amazing.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_04]: But for you, let's get into some of the issues here because Dan and I have had issues when we moved to Texas.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_04]: They moved the top some big of shows here and around 2020.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_04]: We were one of them so we could split Gaston and Advertisers and all of their stuff with Rogan.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_04]: and it was your mom's house and, you know, two bears one cave and it was great.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's been fantastic for us, but over the years, just since 2020 to 2016, it has changed a lot in Texas, so it was a property Texas.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're a victim of our own success here in Texas.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: So people want to move here in droves.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the California policies.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: You look at the Illinois policies, New York.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: You have folks all over the country that are saying, I'm tired of, you know, pay in these taxes.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm tired of having my individual liberties taken away.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to move to a free state like Texas.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, one of the things I hear on the campaign all the time is how do we manage growth.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like we can't bury our heads in the sand and say we're just not going to let anybody in here because that's not the Texas way.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time we need to make sure that our infrastructure is staying up to date and we're building enough homes.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: So buying a home as a young family is affordable.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because if you look at it, let's take this property tax issues since we don't have the state tax.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_04]: Is that why they keep jacking up the property taxes on us?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's not why.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_03]: They keep doing it because it's controlled at the county level.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: Right?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody continues to lean on the taxes legislator and continues to lean on the governor to do so and about this, but it's not their job.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_03]: Frankly, it's up to you, Mark.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: While I want to give local authority to, you know, to school boards and to the city council, we want to make sure that they are working for the people.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's not a federal issue, but I'm out there trying to tell everybody I can't get involved in your local elections.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, get involved in your local politics and policy because if you don't like how your schools being run or your property taxes, vote the people out that are doing that.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_04]: Because, look, early voting is already started here in Texas.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_04]: We had been bringing her error on.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_04]: All that is other started.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_04]: You can start even vote right now from mark to share it today.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_04]: But who are the guys that we're looking for?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_04]: So let's take the property tax issue.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_04]: Who do we try to vote out or in regarding that issue?
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to touch on like individual people, but you need to look at so local school boards.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: county commissioners county commissioners city council members and really get down to all right do we like our school do we like how do we need that new gym do we need that football field that's that's one of the big ones is that you have two different groups that are fighting each other you got the the athletics families that are like we need the new facilities everyone else say we don't want higher taxes that's where the rubber meets the road
- 9:06[SPEAKER_04]: They just built another high school over here right by right in between me and Dan directly where we live They voted for the school.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_04]: They did not vote for the football field football field was going to cost an extra 38 million dollars So those issues were separate on the ballot and I remember voting form and this is how big sale That's how we used to do it back in the day for 38 million dollars
- 9:26[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you can't do that anymore.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_04]: You can't have a lemonade stance and hope for the best for that, I think, million.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_04]: But you know, like Travis, I'm sure you've been up there.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: Lower taxes, guys.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: I just lower taxes, lower tax, lower taxes.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you want to build something, let's figure out a way to pay for it without having to burden our families.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: I agree, but how do we do that is the question?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: Like, what is this solution?
- 9:48[SPEAKER_04]: How do we get to lower taxes when we don't have state income taxes?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great question.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: It really is, and luckily, because I'm running for a federal office again, I don't have a lot of say, but again, I am just for local control lower taxes.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: Let's figure it out.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_04]: So for the people moving here, let's take the Californians and the New Yorks that you just mentioned.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, Mom Downey's already regretting his decision less than two months, and they're going through.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_04]: another brutal snowstorm as we speak.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of people from New York are moving here, a lot of people from California are moving here.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_04]: Unfortunately, they're bringing the politics with them here.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_04]: Is there anything that you would like to see Dan and I of proposed, hey, you could you should live here for three years before you're able to vote and say you're an actual Texas residence before you can vote on some of these important issues in the state of Texas.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_04]: Is that something you would like to see potentially?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't love that.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'd have to think about that a little bit, you know, just off, you know, knee jerk reaction.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't love that.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: I do think there's a lot of people moving here that are conservative.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: I truly believe that.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, most of my friends from all over the country that have moved to Texas in the last five years since COVID are Republicans.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, we need to be very careful.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: I also don't believe that the federal government should just be imposing more rules on people.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: but what we should be doing is understanding the policies that are not working in New York and California and don't let them come here.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: Let them vote, but don't let them bring, you know, oh, hey, let's try rent controls in Texas.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because rent control doesn't work.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's let's try a million airs tax into.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, let's just tax Elon Musk.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Let's tax all the oil bearings.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's the reason they came in the first place.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: Elon Musk has already paid more taxes than any human being in history.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, as a professional athlete between agents fees, management fees, money that you have to spend on yourself, plus all of the taxes that I paid, I paid an enormous tax rate.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: And I am, so everybody that talks about taxes and how high they are, I'm with them.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with them a hundred percent.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: We do not, I'm not the first politician ever say this.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: We do not have a revenue problem.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: We have a spending problem.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: We tax our citizens way too much.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: We also spend and waste way too much money.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, one of the other top concerning issues here, and this is kind of creeping up in the background, little by little by little.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_04]: We see it on the news, and I see a lot of candidates running off of this, especially in their commercials, is this, islam thing.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_04]: Where you got more and more people who are joining the epic city and all this other shit, and it's quietly going on in the background, but in their campaign commercials, they're saying we're fighting against to real law.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_04]: I said this a few weeks ago, I was unaware that it was going on here in the state of Texas,
- 12:38[SPEAKER_01]: How bad is it?
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's probably worse than anybody thinks.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: And listen, if you are truly trying to bring down America, which I think the radical left is, there are a few ways to do it.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think George Soros is a perfect example of, and I think his organization is
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: uh... committing illegal acts i think it is evil what he is doing he's essentially going to every major city and bank rolling liberal dea's radical dea's and radical judges to win these elections one of them is here in awesome that's so that is absolutely happening
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: The other way to do that is to break down the moral fabric of our society and try to put laws on top of what is a Judeo-Christian country.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: In our 250 years, our country has been built on Judeo-Christian values.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you start bringing Sharia law into our communities, even quietly,
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: That is a problem.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sharia law has no place in it.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, it should be illegal because I can't just create a law myself.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: The church of text cannot create a law and then all of a sudden my community has to agree to those laws.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's illegal and we need to make sure that we codify that federally and at the state level.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_04]: How closely do you follow local politics here in Texas with the people that are on the state legislator and and everything else because we'd Brian Harrison on the show who we love he's one of the few that we love in the state of Texas because they switch a lot and nobody even governor wheelchair has always said this a thousand times i'm going to get rid of property taxes and i'm going to you know try to fix it
- 14:18[SPEAKER_04]: It hasn't happened yet here.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's not within this power to do that.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: That is true.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, don't say shit you can't do.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, at a certain point, though, can we not bring everybody together and say, hey, guys?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_04]: Well, we have this as you've disanest it in Florida.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, is he the guy that has the power to do it?
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the problem with what you said before about radical leftists wanting to bring the country down.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_03]: So we should focus on right wing people.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with that.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_03]: think that there's very little conversation to be had with people that are as a premise anti-american, which is what they are, frankly, it would be right.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_03]: They want to reimagine America in some new way.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_03]: It's just postmodernist bullshit.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's all it is, right?
- 15:04[SPEAKER_03]: But what's happened in Texas is going to happen in Florida very soon, which is that because it's such a deeply red state, the competition level is low, and that means that if you are popular enough and have enough money, you can call yourself a Republican no matter what you believe and run for office and win, because people don't look farther than the R at the end of your name, right?
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: This is a big problem.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_03]: This is a problem that is in the hands of the voters, that nobody can fix that for you.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to be the right Republican.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, the voters have to say, oh, you're not a fucking Republican, right?
- 15:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like you don't, you don't, you don't, a Republican.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very level.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, somebody, somebody that's a Republican believes in Republican values.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's what, you know, words have meanings.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and listen, I think this is what's happening, guys.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Is that, you know, Texas is a country in and of itself.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, 30 million people is the eighth largest economy in the world.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: So it's extremely important to global trade.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio are all very different cities.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: North Texas is different in South Texas.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: East Texas is different in West Texas.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: So you essentially have a country and the politics that we're seeing, some of the issues that we're seeing in Texas politics, the same things that have been happening in our country,
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: for 250 years.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: And so I totally agree, voters need to pay attention to who they are voting in.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then once you're into power, run on the record.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's the beautiful thing about voting is all public.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to look at all the issues that I care about and see how this represented a vote it.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: And if they didn't vote the way that I like, then vote them out in the primary or get out there and talk about, hey, this person has an R by their name, but they're actually voting like a D.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_04]: Right, and that's why I said the right Republican, take these primaries, Tony Gonzalez versus Brandon Herrera.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_04]: They're both Republicans, technically.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: But Brandon's the guy that, Brandon refused to, I'm sorry, Tony refused to sign on to the original plan from Governor Abbott to shut down the border.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_03]: He also supported Red Flag laws in Texas, right, that's not conservative, sorry.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's not at all.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: I can serve it a person can serve the traditionalist values of the Constitution of the American Republic and ownership of guns, self-defense, is chief among them.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: And where do you see it on the red flag?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: 100% red flag laws are terrible.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, listen, if I don't like you, if you're just a neighbor that bothers me and maybe I don't like the color of your shutters, I can call up the authority and say, I heard screaming at this house, I believe that my neighbor is about to hurt his wife.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: cops can come over.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Cops can come over and say there's a complaint and we believe that you're a threat give me all your guns.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: That is so wrong.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_03]: You know what's worse about that is that it's not a criminal complaint.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's a civil complaint which means you are required to provide your own legal team at your own expense and you can never recoup that money.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: It is expensive.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: If we allow red flag laws, they will be weaponized.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's conservative all across this country.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm extremely strong on the second amendment.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: And let's, I own seven guns.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: One of them is still in my bed.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: I would tell the hell's wrong with it.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: There's, there's been busy.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_03]: There's seven guns in this room.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: But if anybody comes and tells me how I can, whether it's by amunition, what type of gun I can own, where I can carry it, that's a huge problem.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys talk about all of these conservative issues.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like we should have a list as conservatives of the top 10 things that we really care about.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: And then we should vote accordingly.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's my biggest problem with Congress right now is that we have people that go there that say they're conservative or say they're Republicans.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, I know that there are some districts that are more moderate districts.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_01]: Texas 21 is very conservative.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Chip Roy wanted by 20 points, two years ago, right?
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: So my district agrees with me, but even if you're in a district that you only won by two or three points,
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: You won because you're a conservative and you're a Republican and those people care about individual liberties and the second amendment and their pro-life and their pro-gun.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: They're all these things that you should be voting for.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's why you're in office.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that melt-toes bullshit because it was a close election doesn't make sense.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that's not how a republic is designed to work.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and by the way, again, because we don't have term limits, we have folks in DC that vote just to stay in office.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I've always said, you know, one of the messages that I've given from the very beginning of my race is that I'm an outsider.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't owe anybody anything in Washington, DC.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: If I get taken off of committees or not invited to the cool part, you know, cocktail parties, because I voted a certain way, so be it.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: like this isn't this hasn't been a stepping stone for my entire career that I've wanted to be a politician since I was five years old what to be a baseball player when I was five years old in the parties aren't that cool I'll be real we've been to them and yeah it's of DC is Hollywood for ugly people yeah you're you're looking for her to walk or somebody and you're like all right great there's somebody good looking
- 20:00[SPEAKER_04]: They're gonna be after you.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: I was at an event in DC, not long ago, and Cal Ripkin was there, and Me and Cal spent a bunch of time together and like everybody around there was talking about.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did you see cows here?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, hey, you know, Mark to share.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm running for Congress.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that's Cal Ripkin.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, you're right.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's taller.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's better looking.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_04]: You can get lost in those eyes.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's a total stud.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: Total stud.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_04]: We got bypass for Jay Cutler when we were there for the inauguration.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_04]: Jay was with us most the weekend.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: You're not beaten.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, this is why everybody loves athlete, athletics, and athletes.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: It is the last true meritocracy in our country.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: What, like, Cal Rip can earned everything that he got in this world.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: Jay Cutler earned everything he got in this world.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter who your daddy is, doesn't matter where you grew up.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: If you can make it in sports, professional sports is because you earned it.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I think America just loves that.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: They know that in business and politics and other other places around this country, that's not necessarily the case because it's a lot about just who you know.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: And we watched the power of it yesterday with US versus Canada and the in the hockey gold medal.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_03]: That was their game yesterday.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, a little game, a little game that it would be like.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_04]: God bless the USA, it looked like a lot.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_04]: God man, that is so cool.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_04]: It was awesome.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_04]: And all the videos come in in because I've had a chance to review all of them.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_04]: Trump called into the locker room.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_04]: uh... with cash but tell some people are coming after cash but tell for even being there was like no ma'am yes we're it's just enjoy america on the world stage yes for the biggest smashed there was we were all hoping for this weeks and weeks a week to go it happened and he was there with the team trump called into the team i believe they're going to be the state of the union tomorrow night because he uh... he invited him out there the men's in the women's team it was awesome to see uh... unbelievably patriotic
- 21:51[SPEAKER_04]: So we Keith did the party song afterwards.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, he didn't do it, right?
- 21:55[SPEAKER_03]: He was amazing.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_04]: He was coming down from above, dude.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I love TK, but I love moments like this.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_04]: And I think people root for people like you, who are willing to say, all right, cool man.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_04]: This is a guy who doesn't need the cash.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_04]: He wants to get in there and wants to help his community.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_04]: wants to change Congress.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_04]: Is there a part of you that's just kind of curious about what the job is?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_04]: Because Dana and I have been there so many times.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder what it's like on the other side.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_04]: And I just want the answer.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: No, no.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's definitely going to be a learning curve.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one of the reasons I've been pushing so hard.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: I fully expect to win without a runoff.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I need people to show up to vote.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_04]: But we've already got ours.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: Orally voting is already starting.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: I fully expect to win without a runoff because on March 4th, the day after the primary, I want to get to work.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I want nine months of being in DC, being all through the district, talking to every local leader in Texas, 21 and saying, all right, what are the issues that I can help you within Washington, DC?
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: And then go to DC and talk to different departments or different congressmen that are working on those issues.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_01]: So when I'm there in January, the learning curve has been flattened, but there's definitely curiosity.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: I've been there yet for me.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: I've been three times three different trips and I meet with a different types of groups, right?
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: I meet with Sid and Congressman.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: I meet with NRCC.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_01]: I meet with different departments on what they're working on.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: Just to say, okay, like when you are here, this is what you're going to be working on.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: So you might want to read up a little bit about it or
- 23:26[SPEAKER_01]: Colby's three people and talk to them about this issue because there's not a lot there's there's a lot that I can't do locally But there's a lot that I can't water infrastructure, you know, different types of issues like that That the federal government is going to need to get involved in whether it's funding, whether it's permitting I want to make sure that we can get stuff done here in Texas 21 Have you seen the offices because they're all tailored for the candidate or whoever is in
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: What Jersey goes up in your office Texas Rangers Jersey 100% okay, so it's funny like You know most of my careers with the Rangers and the New York Yankees now the Yankees you they're love him or hate him Right, that's just the way it is that being said there are a ton of Yankee fans in Texas But they're all quiet.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like they don't tell you their Yankee fans until you meet him and they kind of grab and they're like
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, my dad grew up in the Bronx, or my grandfather was a huge Mickey Mantle fan, and I, you know, Yankees Jersey's my entire life.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: So you can root for the Astros or the Rangers here in Texas, but you're side team for a lot of people's the Yankees because of just how he's stalked the franchises.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_04]: But you can't hang a Yankees.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: And it starts with my name in the hall of fame.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's right.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I always remember that.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, I've loved Robter O'Keeans since I was in college.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: And in my mind, I'm like, you know, the whole thing would be really cool.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: But like, it's not the end all be all.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, Hall of Fame probably never gonna happen, especially now that I'm running for, for office half the photos they have made from.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: But like my purpose is way bigger than this guy's.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like my purpose, I have two jobs as a human being right now.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, to fight for this country.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like we live in the greatest country in the history of the world because for 250 years men and women have fought and died for this country.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to fight for this country.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: And number two, I'm going to be disciple of Jesus Christ.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_01]: And every single day, I get to talk about my faith every single day.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: So when I'm in Congress, I'm going to do that every single day.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: Fight for this country, fight for Christ, and that's what I'm supposed to do.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_04]: Do you ever get...
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: the people that were fancy or is from baseball and say of shitties were a public in fuck that guy not to my face okay and so just so everyone that's a couple people to party over the weekend tell me that and that they were died how do yankies yeah they loved no no one says that to my face and by the way they're not going to vote for me anyway so listen if you don't like me because uh... i'm a conservative and by the way conservative policies of what is
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: Why America is so great liberal policies don't work like that's my biggest once I get into the general It's gonna be a really easy conversation because I'm gonna look at my opponent and go I'll tell me all the great liberal policies that work for this country that work for the state of Texas name one.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: Can't so so I know I'm on the right side People might on social media.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: They might attack me for for being a Republican.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't look at the comments.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry folks I don't either.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: I don't look at the comments on social media So please be as mean as you want.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not I'm not reading them
- 26:37[SPEAKER_04]: I would have done the same, because it's not helpful.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_04]: Like your focus on your job whatever it is.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_04]: I don't care if you're a podcast host, Congress, whatever.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's not helpful.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_04]: You want to wake up with a clean slate every day and be like, all right, I'm going to do what I believe today.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_04]: And then if people don't like it later, awesome.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, so before I decided to run, I'd called Sean Hannity.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Sean's a friend of mine.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: I said, Sean, am I crazy?
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: It said, yes, text, you're crazy.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_01]: But you're going to be as prepared for this as anybody else.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: As a major league baseball player, like I failed way more than I succeeded.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: Especially the first half of the seasons.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: Look at that.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a real fan.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: We all feel fan.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_03]: You hit 20 21, 22 points higher in the second half of the season.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know that fit is strong.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: I always started slow.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: Be in a switch.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it was.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: Switch it or.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: Sean's like, Mark, you already got this skin.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_01]: You've already been called every name in the book.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: So you should play it in New York.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: Going on the road.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going on the road and a Yankees uniform.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_03]: Fuck that.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: I've been booed by 50,000 away fans.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: I've been booed by 50,000 home fans.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: You're like a dark place when you're struggling in New York.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you get booed by your home fans.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to have this skin.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I agree, at least you got some cool people around you down here in Texas, that'll be up in there with you because you're up by quite a few points, I think.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: Ow, yeah, I feel good.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: Again, people need to go vote.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: I feel good about where we are right now, but our Texas delegation is really good.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_01]: It like very strong.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: We got August Fluger that's just north of us.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: You guys kind of from the Austin area all the way.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Brandon, you know, Brandon, you know, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon
- 28:18[SPEAKER_03]: I, Brandon, it's been lightning people to fuck up lately, but it's so, he's like so calm through the whole thing.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's not like some of these people at these committee hearings, it's all performative, and he's just like listing facts.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's basically like speaking in another language, you are an asshole.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think Brandon has a unique way of roasting people without them knowing it.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just using facts and it's got a little bit of Charlie Kirk there in that where Charlie Kirk, he could roast you very You know high class and like you wouldn't know it.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: He had matter of the subtle and you don't know it's happened Very very matter of the matter of fact to the point where someone goes I I don't have anything to say back where if I just say you're ugly or stupid Oh, you're ugly.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: You're just like that doesn't work.
- 29:10[UNKNOWN]: Uh-huh
- 29:10[SPEAKER_04]: Facts work and again I go back to conservative policies are working for Texas working for this country You know radical left policies are destructive when Charlie was on the show He actually predicted three to four-weeks in advance that it would be JD advances the running man Before it was announced and I go how do you know that?
- 29:28[SPEAKER_04]: He's one of my best friends and I go that's great, but he is I don't think he knows and he's brilliant yet Yeah, and I go I don't think he knows I don't think Trump knows or whatever and he goes I'm telling you man
- 29:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think this is the dude and he goes, you'll owe me at the next thing.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, Charlie had a pulse of an entire generation of kids, like when Charlie was assassinated, my son called me right away from Texas A&M.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: He was the first person that called me and he was shaking, like he was, I could tell.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: you hear it from your parents at home all the time like my wife and I my wife is extremely conservative you know we talk about politics we talk about faith all that stuff in our house all the time it becomes white noise to your kids after a while sure but when they get outside of the house and all of their friends are following turning point yeah following Charlie
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's another way for kids to go, hey, maybe my parents aren't crazy.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe my generation should be thinking this way and shouldn't be scared to talk about our faith and our values.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: So, man, just what an incredible human being Charlie Kirk was.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_04]: Now, we were on air that day live.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_04]: It was horrific, obviously.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_04]: But was there any part of you that was watching that live that said, I'm about to hop into,
- 30:43[SPEAKER_04]: a roll that's, you know, a little bigger than this and like people could become an after me and it's happened in the past, you know?
- 30:50[SPEAKER_04]: They came out, what was this, the softball game, Dan?
- 30:53[SPEAKER_04]: Steve Skulls, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_04]: Like, was there any part of you or your wife that had a pause during that and said, hey, do you really know what you're getting into here because this is not the potential for that at all?
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Not at all, because listen guys, like my days are numbered on the, on the, on the, on the, surf, like,
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: I could live to a hundred, that'd be great, or like God could take me tomorrow.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: My faith tells me that right now today, this is the worst it's ever going to be for me.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: that when I go to heaven it's going to be it's going to be totally different it's the greatest thing in the world and it's it's why I have the faith that I have.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: So if I you know God forbids something happens to me because I'm serving my country and trying to protect you know innocent lives and protect our borders and protect our our children.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: Someone kills me because of that I'm okay.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay that and by the way my wife's okay with that because you know our days are numbered anyway God knows he's got to play in for us he knows what we're going to be.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: Be doing the rest of our lives and I just have to be faithful to that.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because that was my first thought when I was watching it, where I was just like, man, uh, today with politics, we were so divided that there is an opportunity for somebody crazy to show.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it just happened again, uh, somebody trying to get into the White House in the dark zone.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think we're politically divided, I think that people don't know what the fuck they're talking about or what they believe, frankly.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Mark, you've been on podcast before you know we got some sponsors.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_04]: Gotta give some love to, gotta show some love to, or else we'll be able to keep the lights on over here.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_04]: All right, first and foremost, firstform.com forward slash drinking brosah.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_04]: Best supplement company on the planet, and if for sale it's really doing it right and tight over there.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_04]: What's this new power pro bar, Anthony?
- 32:40[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the one that I like is coconut chocolate chip.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_03]: and here are the ingredients correct almond butter honey protein which is half way and half milk protein casing dates chocolate chips coconut flakes coconut oil egg whites and sea salt amazing and that's it that's it if you could find yourself supplemental products
- 33:10[SPEAKER_03]: Especially high protein stuff where you can pronounce all the ingredients, you don't have to look anything up.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's a win.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it is.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_04]: It is.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_04]: And also, another win right now, if you order any supplement, you can get five free meat sticks, these protein sticks, or the bomb, Italians, my favorite, jalapeno chetters, my second favorite.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_04]: You might have your own.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_04]: Pruiser and tire website, do it.

- 42:29[SPEAKER_03]: Like what does it mean to be liberal?
- 42:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know and it means that my definition now is way different and I don't know that that matches up with all the words are captured down people are just distracted or intellectually lazy to do the work and understand what our system of government is.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's a culmination of 2,000 years of western civilization.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_03]: The words conservative liberal have meanings.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_03]: Conservative means I want to conserve this as close as to its creation as possible and liberal means simply that I want to make sure it is flexible enough to meet the needs of modernity, not to cut kids dicks off.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: or support fucking terrorists coming into our country.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think you bring up a great point is that I don't think conservatives have moved that much further right.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, the radical left has moved the Democratic party so far left that we don't even know to your point.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: Like we don't even know what it means to be a Democratic anymore.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I go back to what's happening in New York City right now with a socialist mayor like we have a socialist mayor at all too in Seattle Yeah, we have one of the most important cities in the world arguably the most important city in our country from my financial standpoint from our economy has a socialist mayor The radical left is cheering because they want socialism in our country and my answer to anybody is what's your favorite Socialist country name it like where has it worked and it has it and they don't want to hear that
- 43:55[SPEAKER_04]: No, no and it's clearly not working.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_04]: I would see in New York and they're finding out the hard way and they're like, oh shit We still have almost four years.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there are there are two months in and it's already going off the rails there Well the good news is he's asking for ID Not for voting for people to fucking clean up snow and garbage stop it.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_03]: What does that get you?
- 44:18[SPEAKER_03]: You have to show two forms of ID to get a job as a so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so-so
- 44:34[SPEAKER_01]: You asked me a question earlier about my curiosity.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_01]: I am curious how many, let's just say we keep the house and we have to keep the house in November.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: But let's say it's 2018, 2017, right on the margin.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: Out of 217 Democrats, I would love to see how many are actually normal people that don't believe in the far left craziness.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_01]: When I say can a man get pregnant, they actually say, of course not.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: So if you say that,
- 45:01[SPEAKER_01]: let me talk to you about all the other ridiculous things that your party is trying to push like no ID to vote and men and women sports all these different things and so if you believe that there is a way to come together as a country and make our country safer and protect our daughters
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: Why aren't you fighting against your radical left?
- 45:21[SPEAKER_01]: And my guess is the answer is because if I do fight against radical left I won't I'll get primary Yep, and I'll probably lose that primary because the billions of dollars that left wing You know donors are are putting into these races all over the country
- 45:37[SPEAKER_04]: And that's what I think, you know, being there, you see the, I hate to say, it's like segregated launches.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_04]: You can still tell who the Democrats are still wearing masks when they go out to eat.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm not.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: Two masks sometimes.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_04]: And it's true.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_04]: And then you'll see the Republicans on the other side.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_04]: You're like, okay, cool.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_04]: And then once you go in there to eat,
- 45:57[SPEAKER_04]: There's an RNC thing, chowhole, there's a DNC chowhole, and then, you know, you guys' office is way far away from the White House.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_04]: They always tell you to bring sneakers.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't understand the sneakers thing until you actually get there, and then you're like, oh, I gotta walk miles to get to this and this and this.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_04]: And we had heard behind this thing, that was part of Trump's frustration in 2016, where he was used to calling board meetings.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, let's just all get in a room and figure this out, and we can do it, and it's like,
- 46:24[SPEAKER_04]: And then, no, it doesn't work like that.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_04]: You got to go through a bill, a vote, a thing, a thing, a thing, a thing, a thing.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to be pushed and pushed and pushed.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_04]: You can't actually talk to people face-to-face with you.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_04]: I think you'll actually be able to do that.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_04]: Because most people feel like they know you.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, when you walked in today, I already felt like I'd know for 20 years, but I didn't, obviously.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a beautiful thing I think about my candidacy is that I think voters feel the same way.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: I've met thousands of different voters over the last six months.
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: Put 13,000 miles on my car to, oh my god.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, in this area, that's a lot all over the district.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, but that's like a lot of district.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this district goes all the way out to Lakey, which is a three-hour drive, you know.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: But my point is, is that when I go meet people, they feel like they know me.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm myself.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm genuine.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm authentic.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know any other way to be because I've been on TV since I was 21 years old.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: And so when you have a track record for 25 years as being a normal person who loves his family, who loves his country, and now wants to step up and serve, they're like, oh, okay, this is actually a breath of fresh air.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's why you're seeing the momentum that I have in my campaign.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree, and is there other players that are reaching out to you, who say, hey, hey, okay, so I'm thinking about doing this, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna name names because I don't want to, you know, sure, there are multiple major leaders that have reached out to me that are like, God bless you, once my kids are older, I'm thinking about doing this thing.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I love that, because we need different people.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: Totally, we got enough lawyers in Congress.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we need different people.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: We need people that have been a part of a team that have worked their tail off.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the other thing about me.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, no one's gonna outwork me.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: Like my rookie, I remember my rookie year.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_01]: I would go to early work for infield work and outfield work.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_01]: Then take all of my normal batting practice and whatever, like by the end of the day,
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was exhausted, I worked my tail off and until midway through my second season, I established myself as a big leader, like nothing was handed to me.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to keep working my tail off and whenever I become an established member of Congress where people are now coming to me, asking advice, it's because of the work that I put in because I earned that respect.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_04]: And there's a lot of people behind the scenes that said you stayed and did all the interviews, all the press, signed everything for kids.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_04]: You were the guy who did that, where a lot of major leaders don't.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_04]: And you always did that, so it feels like this for you is almost a natural fit.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: It is.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: There are a lot of similarities where the voters and the fans are the people I need.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: I need fans to show up and watch the games by to share jerseys, right?
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: I need voters to show up to the polls to vote for me to donate to my campaign, be supporters.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: And they're all, they're all different types of people.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: Like I say, I was just as comfortable in the cheap seats as I was in the owners box.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I can talk to everybody I meet them where they are.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: So when a lot of politicians go out on the road for their campaign, they just talk talk talk talk talk talk.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to do this, I'm going to do this.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: I want to listen.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you need?
- 49:37[SPEAKER_01]: Right, oh, Mark, what are you going to do for me in Frederick'sburg?
- 49:40[SPEAKER_01]: What do you need?
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is your town, this is your district, this is your state, what do you want your representative to do for you and D.C. And I think people appreciate that.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_04]: And one of the biggest issues on our show is obviously veterans, Dan, and you're going to Black Rifle Coffee in Bernie, you know, I believe on Wednesday.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I want to say, which is obviously our old homies there, and it's fantastic, and you're doing something with veterans on Wednesday.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_01]: Tell the audience which you guys have been so veterans have been huge for me, you know, my very first campaign video.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: I told my team, I said, most political commercials are boring.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: political commercial and it's all about name ID, look at me, look at me, I already have name ID.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to tell people what I'm about and what I'm about is I'm not a hero because I played baseball.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_01]: Men and women in uniform are heroes.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, teachers, hard work in them at ranchers that work from sun up till sundown, trying to make ends meet.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_01]: Those are my heroes.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_01]: So that was my first campaign video and it's on the website, textforcongress.com.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_01]: You can go and you can look at my first campaign video because veterans to me, if not for our men and women in uniform, we would not be sitting here today.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_04]: And right now, we're having a lot of problems with the VA.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_04]: So when you get in there, Dan, what are the key issues there that people need to start voting on and changing?
- 51:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think the VA should even exist.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_03]: Why should it?
- 51:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it should be a pastor system for funding, maybe, because we're entitled to that on a percent.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_03]: But why do we have a parallel health care system for one group of the community?
- 51:22[SPEAKER_03]: They never understood that.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_03]: You know, let's take all the money we have and make a great health care system for all people.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's what veterans believe.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: Totally agree.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_03]: We believe in making the fucking country better.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's not about just taking care of one group of people.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_01]: So if you are in a car accident and lose a limb, you're going to go to physical therapy and whatever to take care of yourself.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you have a lot of choices, most likely.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a veteran, you've got to go to the VA and maybe wait in line and maybe not have the best doctor
- 51:54[SPEAKER_03]: or you go to the emergency room and hope they fucking pay for it.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_01]: Artists, art veterans deserve the best service possible.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_01]: So as a former Major League baseball player, I pay for my health insurance and it's the best of the best.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: We, that health insurance should be paid for for our veterans like 100% agree.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: If you put your life on the line, you should have the best possible health insurance in our country.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_01]: And it should go like to your point.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: It should go directly to you.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_01]: And then you can go to any hospital, any doctor, any therapist that you need to.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's the same as school choice.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is kind of an odd comparison to make, but separate but equal is never equal, right?
- 52:33[SPEAKER_03]: And it doesn't matter if it's for good reasons or nefarious reasons, it always ends up the same.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_03]: The second problem is if you put the government in charge of something, it's a no fail, right?
- 52:42[SPEAKER_03]: So if I run a private business in my business sucks,
- 52:45[SPEAKER_03]: people stop using it and I go out of business.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_03]: If I run a shit division inside of the government, they just keep throwing money on to it.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: No matter what the performance rate is, that's nothing, right?
- 52:56[SPEAKER_03]: You're not providing a service to anybody anymore.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_03]: You're just employing a bunch of incompetent people.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and it's strange the way that it's separated like that because what makes you different like you're a we're all a mirror nothing I mean, it's not like the top doctors in the world are going to work in the VA. Let's be frank about that Right, right.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_03]: It's just not true like if you go to a lot of these clinics It's retired got a older guys who have retired doctors who retired or it's a teaching hospital where it's younger people and look those people exist and they need to exist but
- 53:28[SPEAKER_03]: what I consider to be the most professional or most important professional athletes in our country which are fucking people that gun fight for a living.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 53:37[SPEAKER_03]: We go to Jiffyloob.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we should be going to the dealership.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_03]: You want to mean?
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of fucked up to be honest like the entire premise is fucked up So how do you fix that problem you fix it by removing the problem entirely yeah and you touched on something health care for me Like you know whether it's veterans or whether it's seniors on medicare The insurance company shouldn't be getting the money from the government
- 54:02[SPEAKER_01]: They should go directly to the people and then let them decide what type of coverage they need.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: There are certain 70-year-olds that are in great shape and they might buy a little bit more of a skinny-down plan with a catastrophic injury or catastrophic protection.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: And there's other folks that are always sick that are going to need something a little different, but you should have that choice and the money shouldn't be going to the insurance companies because
- 54:26[SPEAKER_01]: It creates a system where the incentives are all messed up.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_01]: Because if I'm an insurance company and I just keep telling the government, I need more money.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_01]: I need more money.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_01]: Guess what?
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's why our healthcare is so expensive and it's so inefficient.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: But they don't just say we need more money.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: They say we need more money or else.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_03]: Right?
- 54:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_03]: And the or else is you don't get healthcare.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have a healthcare system in this country.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: We have sick care.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_03]: We have insurance.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_03]: And it's, but because of the Supreme Court ruling in 2012,
- 54:56[SPEAKER_03]: Right, the Affordable Care Act is not a health care program.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_03]: It is a government tax where all the proceeds of that tax go to private companies.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_03]: Sure, that is fucked.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_03]: There's no other situation like that in all of government.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_03]: It only exists there.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_04]: And with health insurance, it keeps going up and up and up.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, we offer it here and in our other company, Hardy F. Seltzer, it's kind of 126% last year.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_04]: You're starting to get to a point where this is untenable.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_04]: is going to be able to offer this to people and the rates are through the roof.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and these are the questions I'll be asking in Congress.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a few things that if we don't fix our country will fall.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_01]: Health care is one of them.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: Education is another one.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_01]: I give President Trump as administration a ton of credit for pushing school choice.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_01]: I believe in school choice because a lot of folks think school choice is going to take away from public schools.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_01]: We'll take away from the failing public schools.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_01]: Why do we allow, this is our inner cities, this is mainly, the focus is mainly on our inner cities.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: Why should we allow entire generations of kids to essentially graduate high school with
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: And we just keep throwing money at the problem.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_01]: That's malpractice.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_01]: So if we don't fix education, if we don't fix health care, we're going to have so many problems in later generations.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like our kids need to understand that AI is going to create more competition.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_01]: So if an entire generation of kids is getting dumber because they're not getting the right education.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_01]: And AI is making jobs harder to get because it's easy
- 56:41[SPEAKER_04]: We've got some problems here, and you see it happening, I mean, daily.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_04]: AI is catching up, I believe they said it's 12 times every single year.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_04]: So it's 12 to 1 every single year, and it keeps growing and growing.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: Now, Dan and I have used it, it's a useful tool and a lot of aspects if you can learn to do it.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_04]: However, you're already behind if you're not learning about it now, in my opinion.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_04]: So that's something else that's kids and high schools and everywhere else needs to be aware.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: And for my district as well is like so you need to learn how to use AI, you need to learn how to use computers, but you also need trades.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: So not every kid should go to school, go to college, get $200,000 in debt, and then be unemployed and not your college.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_01]: So we need trades, like we need pipe fitters.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_01]: Texas is the energy capital of our country.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_01]: What does the energy sector need?
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: Do we need more electricians?
- 57:39[SPEAKER_01]: Do we need more people that can work on oil fields and natural gas fields to be able to continue this energy dominance that we have in our country?
- 57:48[SPEAKER_03]: I think we just found a new 1.5 trillion-toned deposit of LNG.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_03]: Boom.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_03]: And West Texas.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, never quite.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to require a couple of those.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of jobs.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_04]: That's going to require jobs.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_03]: Good paying jobs.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_03]: In terms of activity.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_03]: There will not be a time in any of our lifetimes or our children or our grandchildren's lifetimes.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_03]: We're not pulling fossil fuels out of the ground.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_03]: That's not a thing.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_04]: And 80% of our listeners are military and first responder and we, the doors are always open and they come in and watch live shows.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_04]: All day, obviously we're doing this earlier for you, but when they come in, over the years, we've seen the shift from people making fun of people with manual labor jobs to say, oh hey man, you work in this, you work in this, and now those jobs are double and triple what they used to be, and now they're able to look down on everybody else saying cool man, you made fun of me all those years, guess what, I make triple your salary now.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_01]: You're exactly right, and you look at higher education, and if you get an engineering degree,
- 58:43[SPEAKER_01]: good chance that you're going to get a job.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you get a degree in, you know, 18th century poetry, probably not a lot of jobs out there that that pay well.
- 58:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so we have to get away from this every kid has to go to college.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: No, every kid needs to find a skill.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_01]: And in my
- 59:04[SPEAKER_01]: We have lots of different industries that are going to need high-skilled, like I said, pipe fitters and plumbers and electricians and people to work on oil fields and natural gas fields to make sure that these C's come from the economy need to keep, keep humming.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: So I care about in our district.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_03]: We're also going to build a shitload of houses here over the next 10 to 15 years.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_03]: Um, we know that he's richer than G.C.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: is.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: Are they?
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: Now we need we need we also need people that are very competent and engineering for the assembly of nuclear reactors, which we're going to build a lot of coming and there's no that we don't have the personnel for right now.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I know everybody's given Trump some heat about the way he's handled all the H1B stuff.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_03]: But I agree that we should prioritize American citizens, but you can't turn off a faucet until the other fucking faucets running and like there's got to be some transition period.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_01]: You're right, so the globalists, or whatever you want to call that section of our country are essentially keeping our kids from learning the skills that they need and then pushing foreign workers.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_01]: to bring in.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so we need to rebalance that and listen I'm a my grandfather was an immigrant from South America to share a is not an English name is a Brazilian what is it Brazilian what is it it's Portuguese Portuguese and so so there's a lot of like I said a lot of Portuguese people see we'll see it's a for Brazil it's it's actually there's Portugal's not in South America my friend nobody speak Portuguese there yeah so so my my grandfather grew up in Guyana
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, cool, and so he didn't grow up in Brazil, but how would the image of Guyana speaks Portuguese?
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a big percentage of, I couldn't tell you, I've never been.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, I'd love to go someday.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:00:49[SPEAKER_01]: People ask me if I speak Portuguese, I'm like, no.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't know.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Brandon Harid doesn't speak Spanish either.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was here.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: But my point is, is that,
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: We need certain immigrants here that are going to be above and beyond the call of duty, right?
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: Like Elon Musk is the perfect example.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm glad Elon Musk is here.
- 1:01:09[SPEAKER_03]: If you can create a couple of million jobs over the course of your career, that's probably a good life.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: If you're just here from India or Asia,
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: Replacing a job that can go to an American just because you're willing to take 25% less salary.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's not right.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the part the way that the conversations had just doesn't work so it's It's everybody's all or nothing on that issue all the time because the left will say, well, we've got to have this so we got to have this guy.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, okay, well for how long How long does it take to train an American to do that job and kick this motherfucker out, right?
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like, thanks for your help.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_03]: Get the fuck out of here.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's the conversation.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_03]: I like because from the right wing saying, no, we can't have any foreign help right now is also not a solution.
- 1:01:54[SPEAKER_03]: What do we get to turn the fucking lights off for the next two years when we train people?
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_01]: We need to be conservatives and need to be pro-business and pro-bus getting, like I said, the above and beyond immigrants that can come and do incredible jobs, we should have a way for them to come here.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: But pay for it.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: I like President Trump saying 100,000 bucks, if you want to H1B visa.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_01]: because now as an employer, I have to do that math and go, is this person so qualified that I'm willing to pay $100,000 for this visa?
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_01]: And the answer is yes, great.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's more money into the system and we can pay for VA benefits.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: So we can strengthen our border, whatever it might be.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to change those incentive structures up.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, for example, if an H1B cannot send remittances back home, are they still coming?
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_03]: And if the answer is no, then you're not welcome.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_03]: Like our money stays here, bro.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's how it gets.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_04]: And your tax done.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, that's right.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, they're already taxed on it.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_03]: But if your sending remittances back home, if 90% of your cell, which is the case for most H1B, 90% of your cell is going out of our economy, that's not a terrible for us, right?
- 1:02:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a telephone for any country.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, if you're in a Democratic state, you don't even have to show ID to vote.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_01]: So it's all part of the plan.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's all part of the plan and Democrats have been stealing elections for decades.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: Using this kind of work around where let's bring in a bunch of people from overseas.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_01]: Let's tell them that Democrats are the way to go and we're going to take care of you if you vote our way.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_01]: And oh, by the way, you don't even need to show a voter or you should give for any type of ID to vote and that's a big problem.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_04]: It is, and they'll give you all this free shit.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be like, isn't this awesome?
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_04]: And you're like, yeah, I mean, I get a weekly salary.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_04]: I get phones, I get a, you know, access to businesses, and everything else.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_04]: And then once people start checking, this Minnesota thing really unraveled everything else.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_04]: I saw Nick Shirley in California today.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_04]: And then you've got, you know, 60, 80 people registered at one church to vote at an LLC to vote and everything else.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_01]: I love that Minnesota was uncovered early enough.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: before the November midterms because now we've got no excuse as Republicans to not fix this stuff and whether it's voting, whether it's the fraud waste and abuse, you know, whether it's attacking ice like that.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_01]: To me that was the biggest
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_01]: that the saddest thing about what's happening in Minnesota is that we have many women putting their lives on the line and they're being attacked by antifa and sorosled protests keep in you know keeping criminals on the street that like what are you fighting for like that's evil yeah if you're willing to go um keep ice from doing their jobs just so criminals violent criminals can stay on the streets
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's absolutely insane and, you know, Dan and I have shattered about this over the last month.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_04]: I think the biggest vote in our lifetime is the save act, which is currently going on right now.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_04]: No, I know Congress passed it.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's a house, the house, the house, the house, the house.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, but it's my knowledge.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_04]: I don't believe that the Senate is close.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_01]: Not on the floor yet.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_04]: Why?
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, one McConnell's holding it in committee right now, because I'm not sure he knows where he is.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_03]: No, he definitely does not.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_03]: He can't walk without falling down.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_04]: He's worse than Biden right now.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, he can held up.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, literally by two eighths.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_04]: After he gets to meet you.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_03]: You know, do you know how like, um,
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_03]: If you buy your kid a phone or an iPad or something, you can make the unlocked code of math problem that they have to solve.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think we should do that with all members of Congress.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_03]: You have to answer five basic questions to even get into the fucking building in the first place because there's too many old people that don't belong there.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's very odd to me that we're doing.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I would need to turn on this.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, one of the things you think to say back to actually passes.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think eventually it does.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure what you got a small one there.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know what for him, but I want to put Democrats on the record.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then, and then if they do vote it down, so if it doesn't get codified through Congress, we need to figure out a legal way, like the administration needs some sort of executive or like we've got to figure it out.
- 1:05:57[SPEAKER_04]: There's a filibuster where you go the nuclear option on this.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_01]: I see both arguments.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: I really do.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_01]: And depending on the day, and depending on who I listen to, give their opinion, certain days on like new kit, let's new kit.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: And other days I'm like, oh, this might be a slippery slope.
- 1:06:14[SPEAKER_01]: I will say this.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_01]: If I had to lean one way or the other, if you nuked the filibuster, chances are we're never gonna have a Democratic president again.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: Because if you look at the way the electoral college I have more people or move into Texas and conservative states.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna pick up, we would have Democratic presidents again, but they would be
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_03]: Josh Shapiro, or Rahman Manual, and not AOC, right?
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like the left would be forced to come back to where the fuck they belong.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_03]: This is good for them, whether they'll admit it or not, getting rid of all this stupid shit.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_03]: They've been cowards, this is worse case scenario.
- 1:06:52[SPEAKER_01]: This is why I do go back and forth.
- 1:06:55[SPEAKER_01]: Worst case scenario is we don't do it.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: We don't pass all the things that we want to pass over the next three years.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_01]: And as soon as Democrats get all three levels of government in the White House, the House, and the Senate, they nuke it, and they pass all of their craziness.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, not only the first thing they'll do is stack Supreme Court.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_03]: That would be the first thing they do.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: Do you see in Puerto Rico become a state?
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a lot of bad things are going to happen.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_04]: So if you don't do it now, and look, history tells us, you know,
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_04]: During these mid-terms, it doesn't usually go our way, it'll flip, you know, for either whoever's in the White House, it'll flip either way, so in my opinion, you've got seven months to pass this, and that's about it.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_04]: You call John Thun and live on air, and just say, he didn't get this pass.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't answer, he answered, Mark, you can't be cool, but here's the other thing.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: If you, if you passed it, how many of those swing races would we win as Republicans?
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_03]: Well, a lot of those races would exist in the first place because one of the issues in your title, like you're talking about stealing elections, it's one thing to hack a voting machine or to have people who aren't eligible vote or do ballot harvesting or all these like very obvious inferior things.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_03]: But another way to stealing election is to redraw the districts.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_03]: counting them on them and counting them on the sense because once you get the set between 7.50 and 7.80 that's a new district you can carve out and we think there's probably like somewhere between 15 and 30 Democratic districts it should not even exist.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_04]: Part of the save act is cleaning the roles of of non-citizens and then also it's at the Supreme Court now whether or not they get rid of you know those extra districts that are carrying two is just that black people are disabled.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's what can taunt you Brown Jackson's.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_01]: And did you see Gavin News from?
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, boy.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_01]: I love that one listen I I believe that I believe there is a lot of racism in this country and a lot of it comes from the Democrats Yeah, what like what he said like his that was the quick air shit over here against
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_01]: And just his disdain for people that aren't like him is really sad.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, how many white people have to say things like black people don't even know what a computer is or if you don't vote for me, you're not black, or poor kids are just the same as white kids, or what Gavin Newsom said, which is like, I'm a retard just like you guys.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, is that I can't read?
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I have 960.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's the answer.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_03]: That's the answer.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just like you guys.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_03]: What does that mean, exactly?
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_01]: And here's the thing, like, if I had a magic wand to do all my conservative policies, it would help all Americans.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_01]: It wouldn't help 50.1% of Americans that happened to vote Republican.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_01]: It would make all Americans safer, it would give them better education, it would give them better health care, it would make them be able to feel freer in this country, like,
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is, that's the thing that's upsetting to me, is that I, I won't get 100% of the vote, but once I am in Congress, what I vote for, what I will be pushing as a member of Congress, will help 99.9% of the people in my district.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_04]: And hopefully you get in.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_04]: So you can go out and early vote right now.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, since we have here, when I ask you some baseball.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_04]: which is about the Atlanta Braves.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_04]: I think you should have one or no seven, not gonna say anything more than that.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_04]: The Anthony Will, I'm sure, but, do you have any Ricky Henderson stories, but you see what is my thing?
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so growing up as a kid of the 80s, early 90s Ricky Anderson was the greatest player in baseball for a while.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: I absolutely love Ricky Henderson, right?
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a, there's a great story.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_01]: So Ricky Henderson and John Olderude played together on the Blue Jays, and we're only in a career.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Rick Anderson played like 25 years.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_01]: So played for E-17.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_01]: For ever, late in their careers, they were both members of the Seattle Mariners, and in spring training, John Olderude shows up to spring training, first day of workouts, and everyone's kind of saying hi to each other.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's a bunch of people in camp, and John Olderude's wearing his skull cap.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, John Olderwood had a brain injury earlier in his life, and so he'd always wore this skull cap just in case he hit his head in the field.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: And no one in baseball did that, right?
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_01]: So Ricky Anderson goes out and look at a better stomach.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, hey, John, why are you wearing that helmet in the field and John tells the story about, you know, how to injury, and so I've just always worn it during my career.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_01]: And Ricky goes,
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_01]: Man, there was a guy when I played for the Blue Jays, it did the same thing, and the Mickey goes, our junk goes, yeah, Ricky, that was me.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_03]: They totally forgot that he had played with John Older for years, but there's a lot of great stories where he, like his first check, his million dollar bonus, checking, never cash.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, he just like framed it.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, hey, you got to go cash that one, bud, you got it.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_03]: We can't do our, we can't close out the year.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_01]: If you unless you don't catch this guy, someone told him that he, he was the most tenured player on the team.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, 10 year, shoot, Ricky got 20 year.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_04]: The other one was, they were talking about John three, third scene and there was like, John three, third scene.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_04]: Ricky hit three, third, three.
- 1:12:25[SPEAKER_04]: I don't give shit about John.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a reason.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was 328.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, whatever it would be.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_03]: P.C.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_03]: 28 home runs.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_03]: P.C.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_04]: He did win 1 MVP.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_03]: It was that year.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was in 1991 or 92.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_04]: World Series A's and the Blue Jace.
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_04]: On that Joe Carter walk off.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_04]: What year did you win?
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, nine.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_01]: Nine.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Nine.
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_04]: Eight.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_04]: Eight.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_04]: Eight.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_04]: Eight.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:54[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:56[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:03[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:04[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:08[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Eight.
- 1:13:12[SPEAKER_01]: two different personalities but like I love Alex.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_01]: After I watched the documentary I texted him right away, told him, hey Lee and I want my wife Lee, we watched it and just proud of you and just wish you the best.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_01]: He texted right back and said, you know it's been a tough journey.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_01]: He said that was very difficult to do.
- 1:13:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah documentary.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_01]: But man like
- 1:13:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's not easy being the greatest prospect in history.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_01]: 18 years old and being on sport-silestrade and all of the family stuff, like, it's just not easy.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_01]: And what I just, I want for all of my teammates and everyone in America, it's like, just to be comfortable in their own skin.
- 1:13:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, be who you are, because that allows you to then go out and live your life, not feel like you have to play some sort of role.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_04]: My thing with with him is I could never figure out who he really was.
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_04]: It seemed like he wanted to be super famous, but then when the fame caught up.
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_01]: I will say that.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_01]: Much like politics.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_01]: This is all a numbers game.
- 1:14:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't have to tell you guys this.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_01]: No matter what organization you're in, whether it's a small company, a big organization.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_01]: There's about 10% of the people you don't want to hang out with.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_01]: They're just like, not good guys, they're just like, yeah, I'm just on your team.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_01]: And like, that's going to be the same way in Hollywood movies.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:14:25[SPEAKER_01]: Same way in Congress.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_01]: Same way in Congress.
- 1:14:27[SPEAKER_01]: There's going to be certain people you just don't get along with.
- 1:14:30[SPEAKER_01]: On baseball teams, there was one or two guys on every team that are like, I'm not a great guy.
- 1:14:35[SPEAKER_01]: Alex was not one of, like, he was a great guy.
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_01]: He was a great teammate.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_01]: Really?
- 1:14:39[SPEAKER_01]: He absolutely.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 1:14:41[SPEAKER_01]: great teammate because when you see him you know he's throwing balls to Madonna with his phone number on it and all the other shit you're like okay that's erot you know and he did a lot of this is great Alex was a great teammate and especially towards the end of his career when you know interesting thing is and he tells it in the documentary like
- 1:15:01[SPEAKER_01]: As I got more humbled, I became a better person.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_01]: And that's, by the way, that's biblical.
- 1:15:07[SPEAKER_01]: We all have to humble ourselves because it keeps us hungry.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_01]: It keeps us understanding that we are just a small part of this crazy world.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a higher power that's in control.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_01]: And we are not in control.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_04]: Who's somebody you didn't like playing with?
- 1:15:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to name any names.
- 1:15:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I will say this.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_01]: One or two guys per team.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_01]: We had good groups of God in all these teams.
- 1:15:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because here's the thing, you all have the same goal.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like the goal is to win a championship.
- 1:15:38[SPEAKER_01]: The teams that fall apart are the teams that by June, you're like, this team stinks.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:15:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so you're kind of all out for yourself.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're trying to get your contract, you're trying to get your status.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, exactly, exactly.
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_01]: But when you are on a great team that has a chance to go to the playoffs or win a world series,
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's pulled in the same direction doesn't mean you go out for beers after the game together Sure, but like in the clubhouse, we are all pulling for each other and one of the great things about the second half of my career So from 08 to 2016 I was on good teams by large that that whole time of my career and even though seven with the brakes Yeah, that was a very good team.
- 1:16:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so I knew I had a chance to go to the playoffs and it allowed everybody to be pulling on the same road
- 1:16:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and what you just described, by the way, is a lot like Washington, D.C.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_04]: So what I noticed, one of the biggest shocks from me on the like day one, when I was there for the first time, they're in clicks.
- 1:16:32[SPEAKER_04]: So you see him in clicks, and you're like, all right, cool, there's people who are friends and get along, who are genuinely looked like their friends in real life.
- 1:16:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then there's the others and you're like, well, shit, I still get a vote with them and everything else.
- 1:16:43[SPEAKER_04]: Looking at the political landscape as you see it from pretty much the same birds I view that we have right now.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_04]: Are there people that you're curious about meeting or you're like, man, alright, I really like this guy and I admire him in Congress or Senate.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'd really like to pick his brain about something.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like there are two things, I think, so the one that I've spent a little bit of time with that I really want to get to know better is Jim Jordan, like this guy is a total stud, total stud, and he's somebody that has decided to stay in the house, where, I mean, this guy could be, he could be governor, he could be senator, he could be a part of the administration, but he knows he has a job to do in the house, and when I talk to him,
- 1:17:22[SPEAKER_01]: like this guy gets it.
- 1:17:24[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, former athlete, NCAA champion wrestler, right?
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_01]: So he's somebody that I want to spend more time with outside of Texas, but I really want to dive into this Texas delegation.
- 1:17:34[SPEAKER_01]: So we have a Texas caucus now that, you know, everyone, there's different caucuses everywhere.
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_01]: There is a Texas caucus that if we are a huge voting block, we are an important voting block, especially for energy, right, especially for the border.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_01]: If we can stick together, if we can all get on the same page, the 25 to 30 of us that will be Republicans, we can wield a lot of power in Congress.
- 1:17:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that's my first priority when I'm in Washington, D.C. is to get really tight with my Texas delegates and make sure that we're on the same page because what's good for Texas is probably good for the rest of the country.
- 1:18:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, let's see, who do you get, uh, Crenshaw, uh, not for one.
- 1:18:16[SPEAKER_01]: We got Pat Fallen Morgan LaTrelle, yeah, Greg Goldman Morgan's, uh, actually he's not running.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
- 1:18:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't think Crenshaw's going to win either to be honest.
- 1:18:27[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, in this upcoming, I think Tooth is going to be being in, but we'll see.
- 1:18:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think Hurricane August Fluggers is a stud.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's an ex Air Force pilot.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_01]: We've got a couple new guys that are going to be coming in.
- 1:18:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, Jody Airintons is leaving.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_01]: So, there's a guy Tom Sell who's in the lobby area.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_01]: Chris Gober is right next door here in Texas 10.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's Elon Musk's lawyer.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_01]: the coolest guy of all of his Roger Williams.
- 1:19:01[SPEAKER_01]: You guys know Roger, it's like old school, like just he is a statesman.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's a legend in Fort Worth, by the way.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like absolute legend at TCU.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_01]: So he's kind of like fatherly figure for us that will be a very good calming presence.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because, you know, guys, I'm gonna be more of a fire thrower probably.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna be more like, why do we do it this way?
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm an outsider.
- 1:19:21[SPEAKER_01]: Why do we do it this way, right?
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_01]: Relax, text.
- 1:19:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 1:19:25[SPEAKER_01]: This is just the way the votes go and you got to do this and you've got to.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, but guys, like, I think Brandon Gill, we talked about earlier, and we're not going to spend a lot of time together.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_04]: My one suggestion for you if you get in, uh, because I love what Harrison is doing here is he's video taping the process.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_04]: So you get to see it behind the scenes like I didn't know there was talk at Tuesday.
- 1:19:44[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know there was Marriottchy bands.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_04]: I didn't know all the things that were happening.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_04]: He's like that.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_04]: I think that side of it, seeing it on Capitol Hill would be awesome.
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_04]: Then there's a handful of them that do it, but we all have become a lot more interested in the process over the years because there is this division.
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_04]: And now you guys are becoming really fucking famous over nights.
- 1:20:05[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, you're already famous because of baseball, but it's simply because this
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like Republican and Democrat has become like a world series game now, which it shouldn't.
- 1:20:19[SPEAKER_04]: It shouldn't be working together, but they aren't.
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, first of all, what's the goal?
- 1:20:23[SPEAKER_01]: And if we all have the same goal, what's your position on the team?
- 1:20:26[SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
- 1:20:27[SPEAKER_01]: When I was a first baseman, I didn't go to try to pitch.
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't go try to play center field.
- 1:20:32[SPEAKER_01]: I knew what my role was, and I think just as an outsider looking in, a lot of members of Congress try to be everything to everybody.
- 1:20:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:20:40[SPEAKER_01]: You can be an expert in one, maybe two things at your job.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_01]: If you try to do everything, you're not going to do anything well.
- 1:20:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm going to, depending on the committee that I'm on and a lot of it is out of my hands, but depending on the committee I'm on, I'm going to dive into that committee and even inside of that committee, try to play my role and be like, I'm going to be the best at this because I know that they're small banks in
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_01]: in Texas 21 need help.
- 1:21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Or I know that the border is is closed, but it's not fully secure.
- 1:21:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like whatever wherever you put me, I'm going to dive into something and try to be expert in that.
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_01]: And if we have 218 members of Congress all throughout the Republican delegation that are playing their part as a part of a team, they grow better all.
- 1:21:25[SPEAKER_03]: I think people should look to the administration right now and see Trump is a good business manager.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_03]: And you need all those components, right?
- 1:21:32[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, whether it's your coaching a team or a managing a team or whether you're running a business, you need people who are creative, you need people who are logistics, you need people who are executors.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_03]: You need all those stuff, right?
- 1:21:43[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise you can't do shit.
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you just sit around and talk about stuff a lot and never get anything done.
- 1:21:47[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing on a baseball team, we knew who to put on camera.
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Like after games like Derek Jeter was always on camera after games when I played for the ring They were like well young was always on camera because they were well-spoken They weren't gonna throw their teammates under the bus.
- 1:22:00[SPEAKER_01]: They were really we need to there are certain members Yeah, why don't you guys put Nick's pressure on the fucking camera
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_03]: He's Blair, I love, I love, we're the third guy from that 2019 to be on the show because Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, Damans, but he can't put Johnny up.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Johnny, he was all right during his career.
- 1:22:17[SPEAKER_03]: Right now, don't put him on camera.
- 1:22:20[SPEAKER_01]: If you had, if you had to give me my top, you know, 10 or 15 teammates of all time, Johnny Damans and Nick Swisher would be on that list.
- 1:22:28[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody says it about Swisher.
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_01]: He should run.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_01]: He's so positive.
- 1:22:33[SPEAKER_03]: He should be in a fucking band.
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_01]: What I love about swish is that no matter what the media question was, hey, somebody needs to go to Fox Studios before the game and do Fox and friends to plug this thing and all of us are like, oh man, it's just like I'll do it!
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we loved about Swiss because he wanted to be on camera.
- 1:22:54[SPEAKER_01]: He wanted to have that energy and he goes, I'll be a good teammate.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_01]: You guys don't want to have to do this.
- 1:22:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go do that stuff.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_01]: But like back to my point in conversers, certain people that shouldn't be on camera.
- 1:23:04[SPEAKER_01]: No, because they are not, they're not doing a good job of putting out our message.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I do, like I said, I've met thousands of voters.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the complaints that I get about Congress is our messages mixed, our messages is muffled.
- 1:23:17[SPEAKER_01]: And all it takes is for one person to either say the wrong thing or say it the wrong way.
- 1:23:22[SPEAKER_01]: And now all of a sudden, the voters are going, wait a second, I didn't think conservatives believed in that or thought that way.
- 1:23:29[SPEAKER_01]: So we should have a list of members and maybe I'm on that list, maybe I'm not,
- 1:23:36[SPEAKER_01]: to put the message out there because we need to keep winning elections.
