- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: This is the almost famous podcast. Yes, it's almost famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: And we could not be happier to be here. You
- 0:11Speaker 2: know why, I'm really happy to be here, Ashley.
- 0:14Speaker 3: I think you're done with work for like the next
- 0:17Speaker 3: two weeks.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm getting close after this, I'm getting very close. I
- 0:20Speaker 2: got a ski day in front of me, I got
- 0:21Speaker 2: a golf day hopefully in front of me. And then
- 0:24Speaker 2: it's the holidays. Works has been wild generous. It's busiest
- 0:29Speaker 2: time of the years this year obviously with the holidays,
- 0:31Speaker 2: and now we're pretty much past shipping date, so I
- 0:34Speaker 2: can kind.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Of it's because people gift it.
- 0:35Speaker 2: It's they gift it, Yeah, they gifted They buy it
- 0:37Speaker 2: for friends, they buy it from themselves, maybe to do
- 0:40Speaker 2: like a holiday party, and then corporations do it for gifting.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And once you reach this date, like we're not shipping
- 0:47Speaker 2: coffee and getting it there by the holidays, we have
- 0:49Speaker 2: five days. Some people like I can put my hat
- 0:52Speaker 2: up and just kind of kick my feet up and
- 0:54Speaker 2: say it is what it is. But here's the other
- 0:57Speaker 2: thing I'm really happy about, Ashley. You know when you
- 1:02Speaker 2: have those days where like gratitude just kind of flows
- 1:07Speaker 2: out of you, where you just feel thankful, Like you
- 1:10Speaker 2: wake up and the day goes on and throughout the day,
- 1:14Speaker 2: you lay your head and your pill out that night
- 1:16Speaker 2: and you're just like, I'm really grateful for a few things,
- 1:20Speaker 2: really grateful for you. No, And here's why. Because this
- 1:26Speaker 2: last weekend, my in law's, my brother in law, my
- 1:30Speaker 2: sister in law, my wife and myself went to Rhode
- 1:34Speaker 2: Island for the holidays. My mother in law's family had
- 1:40Speaker 2: a holiday celebration. It was important for us to be
- 1:42Speaker 2: there because Jess, because Nana was there, and we stopped
- 1:46Speaker 2: at Audrey's on the way out there.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I was there for everybody out there. We had a
- 1:50Speaker 3: nice Yeah.
- 1:54Speaker 2: But not only is Audrey's just absolutely spectacular. You guys
- 1:57Speaker 2: are crushing it, you and Jared both, but it's it's
- 2:00Speaker 2: really fun for me.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Ared. There was a moment.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Where Dawson kind of ran to the back and I
- 2:05Speaker 2: followed him, and you were sitting eating your sandwich around
- 2:08Speaker 2: the table with my family, and I just looked back
- 2:11Speaker 2: and I was like, this is so special to me,
- 2:13Speaker 2: Like somebody is a part of my life for so long,
- 2:15Speaker 2: Like you have been spending time with now my family
- 2:19Speaker 2: like you are.
- 2:20Speaker 4: And them just like enjoying it.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I would say, now, the celebration at the at the
- 2:25Speaker 2: holidays was spectacular. I would say that most of my family,
- 2:30Speaker 2: if I asked him what was their favorite part of
- 2:31Speaker 2: the day, they would say just sitting at Audrey's with
- 2:34Speaker 2: the baby, baby Jade, and with you and Dawson and
- 2:39Speaker 2: Jared and just hanging out.
- 2:42Speaker 4: It was spectacular.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Oh, thanks, Ben, I'm so glad you had a great time.
- 2:46Speaker 3: We did too. Was the best part of my week
- 2:49Speaker 3: for sure.
- 2:50Speaker 2: It's so it's so wild when I get to be
- 2:53Speaker 2: with you kind of outside of the craziness of maybe
- 2:56Speaker 2: an event, to be kind of in your home, to
- 3:00Speaker 2: see you as a mom, because you're an incredible mom.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Jared's an incredible dad. Right, you have a young child.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It's not easy, and he's running crazy and he's asking
- 3:08Speaker 2: for everybody to everybody in my family laughed. The idea
- 3:12Speaker 2: that he calls Nam Nam. She like, that's cheese, and
- 3:15Speaker 2: he just said, I want nam name. And then he
- 3:17Speaker 2: got a slice of cheese and he ate a piece
- 3:18Speaker 2: of cheese and he was so happy. He's such a
- 3:22Speaker 2: cute kid, but he's not easy, and you guys just
- 3:24Speaker 2: do it so well, and it's so cool for me
- 3:27Speaker 2: to see after you know, I'm I don't want to
- 3:31Speaker 2: like forget that. Like when we first started doing this,
- 3:34Speaker 2: we both were very single.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Yeah, well, yeah, that's actually very sweet that you say
- 3:41Speaker 3: like that you have such a good time when you
- 3:43Speaker 3: like watching all that, because usually from a mom's point
- 3:45Speaker 3: of view, we'll leave being like, oh, I wasn't present enough.
- 3:50Speaker 3: You know, I was running around with him. I couldn't
- 3:52Speaker 3: have like a solid, like sit down conversation. So I
- 3:54Speaker 3: feel like moms are always a little bit insecure to
- 3:57Speaker 3: make sure that everybody had a good time, because you know,
- 3:59Speaker 3: it's all always more chaotic with the toddler.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Sure it is, No, that's not the case. We it
- 4:03Speaker 2: was absolutely spectacular. Here's the second really funny part of
- 4:08Speaker 2: the day, Ashley.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And I'm just that I wasn't there for.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yeah, that you weren't there for and.
- 4:13Speaker 3: So okay, well, I know Santa showed up.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Santa did show up. I was so excited about Santa.
- 4:18Speaker 4: I had a few Martinez by then.
- 4:20Speaker 1: But.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Ashley, so when we were going to Rhode Island to Newport,
- 4:26Speaker 2: I had told my family. I was like, you know,
- 4:29Speaker 2: would be really fun since we're in Newport, we should
- 4:31Speaker 2: drive by. We're actually, yeah, we're actually and Jared got
- 4:36Speaker 2: married because it's so beautiful spectacular. The house that we
- 4:41Speaker 2: celebrated at was across the street from Rostliff.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Street, same freaking street.
- 4:49Speaker 3: So we were right when we saw the name of
- 4:51Speaker 3: the street. Yeah, it rings a bell. I think that's
- 4:53Speaker 3: the Mansion Row. Yeah, you guys should see if you
- 4:57Speaker 3: could only see the Zillo listing for this house that
- 5:00Speaker 3: he just celebrated his Christmas. Holy, holy moly.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And it's so cool to see somebody living in one
- 5:06Speaker 2: of these homes like they live in it because it
- 5:08Speaker 2: looks like it's out of the Gilded Age. Eighteen fifty
- 5:11Speaker 2: six was one of.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Eighteen Yeah, so just around that time. So did they
- 5:15Speaker 3: keep the furniture. Does it look authentic to the time
- 5:18Speaker 3: or is it modern in there?
- 5:20Speaker 4: Both?
- 5:21Speaker 2: So, like different rooms are kind of designed differently, and
- 5:25Speaker 2: so some rooms are kind of throwbacks or they've just
- 5:28Speaker 2: continued this tradition, and other rooms have been modernized, like
- 5:31Speaker 2: the kitchen and the living room and the TV room.
- 5:33Speaker 4: And those type of things.
- 5:35Speaker 2: But then like the Grand dining Room, which I didn't
- 5:37Speaker 2: know existed in homes very much throwback and very beautiful
- 5:42Speaker 2: and spectacular.
- 5:44Speaker 4: It was an incredible day. It was so special.
- 5:47Speaker 2: It was so fun, and Jessica and I both left
- 5:49Speaker 2: and we said one of the coolest things, because that
- 5:51Speaker 2: had to be at this point in my life at
- 5:55Speaker 2: least the top three, if not the craziest coolest house
- 5:59Speaker 2: I've ever been in. The thing that Jessica and I
- 6:02Speaker 2: said was it was just cool to see them like
- 6:05Speaker 2: not like acting like it's their home, right. They had
- 6:07Speaker 2: a bunch of little kids running around with like red
- 6:10Speaker 2: sauce and spilling it and there was red wine ever,
- 6:13Speaker 2: and nobody was freaking out, and it was like it
- 6:15Speaker 2: was just cool to see them using this as a
- 6:17Speaker 2: home still and not being like super uptight and like
- 6:20Speaker 2: it was just fun. But yeah, those homes in Newport
- 6:26Speaker 2: on Mansion Row.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the best.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I mean, here's the crazy part. This is probably the
- 6:32Speaker 2: like least nice home and like it is so nice.
- 6:36Speaker 2: It's the nicest time I've ever been in.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's it's like amongst these like Rockefeller houses. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 3: Rockefeller didn't have a house there. Vanderbilts are very well
- 6:49Speaker 3: known for their houses there. Yeah, it's well, you guys,
- 6:52Speaker 3: if you are ever in Rhode Island, definitely, Like I know,
- 6:55Speaker 3: it sounds kind of like weird, go visit mansions. It's there.
- 7:00Speaker 3: It's really awesome. It looks like something out of a
- 7:02Speaker 3: time period film. It's one of my favorite things to
- 7:05Speaker 3: do when people come visit.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I think it's absolutely awesome. So visit Audrey's visit the mansions. Well, Ashley,
- 7:09Speaker 2: you and I have headlines to get to today. It
- 7:12Speaker 2: is going to be a very interesting episode to break
- 7:17Speaker 2: down because there is some big news that I really
- 7:20Speaker 2: want your opinion on. But we'll start with the top story,
- 7:24Speaker 2: which is this Will's Adams asked for a Bachelor in
- 7:27Speaker 2: Paradise reunion, says Aaron Bryant and Eliza split surprised him.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah, so he said. He reached out to production and
- 7:37Speaker 3: he was like, so, what are we doing the after show?
- 7:39Speaker 3: And then he was like, oh, LI said to him,
- 7:42Speaker 3: We're not doing one this year. And then he was like,
- 7:45Speaker 3: never has there been a time where I actually wanted
- 7:48Speaker 3: answers from all these people that have now broken up
- 7:50Speaker 3: since the show ended. I am shocked about Aaron and Eliza.
- 7:54Speaker 3: They were cute and they were perfect for one another.
- 7:57Speaker 3: We stopped filming them because once you get really really
- 8:01Speaker 3: comfortable with someone, you gotta get boring to watch. He said,
- 8:04Speaker 3: I also thought that for sure that was going to
- 8:08Speaker 3: be the next wedding we did on the beach. I
- 8:11Speaker 3: can't say that I'm shocked with Kat and John Henry
- 8:15Speaker 3: because I love them both, don't get me wrong, but
- 8:18Speaker 3: they are just such different people. I know opposites attract,
- 8:21Speaker 3: but I don't know. When you're like a welder, deep
- 8:25Speaker 3: sea diver and then like the other one is scared
- 8:28Speaker 3: of water, you know, maybe this isn't going to work.
- 8:30Speaker 3: He also said that he's sad by how Aven and
- 8:32Speaker 3: Kylie's relationship ended. He said, I hate to see how
- 8:36Speaker 3: stuff like that is so easily just put into the universe.
- 8:39Speaker 3: You Now, it's so easy with social media to air
- 8:41Speaker 3: your a grievances and stuff. And I'm just hoping for
- 8:44Speaker 3: the best of both of them. And just an interesting tidbit,
- 8:48Speaker 3: I heard that opposites attract initially, but then long term
- 8:53Speaker 3: couples and like successful marriages, tend to have more similarities
- 8:56Speaker 3: and differences in their personality. What do you think about that?
- 8:58Speaker 2: I mean, I think so I think that, you know,
- 9:02Speaker 2: at least in my experience same there's a there's very
- 9:07Speaker 2: little that like we shared at the beginning other than
- 9:11Speaker 2: the competitive drive. Uh, and now as we've gone like
- 9:15Speaker 2: into our marriage, we both really like I enjoy the
- 9:19Speaker 2: same things Jessica enjoys, and she tries to do the
- 9:21Speaker 2: same for me. She doesn't love golf, but I love golf,
- 9:24Speaker 2: and she at least supports me and then asks me
- 9:26Speaker 2: what I shot, and that's about all I need.
- 9:29Speaker 3: There's differences, so there's a difference between having like.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Shared, but like, yeah, you know, we have the same
- 9:34Speaker 2: and I think for us this has always been a
- 9:36Speaker 2: big deal and not everybody has it, but like, our
- 9:39Speaker 2: faith is a foundational like point for us, right, That's
- 9:43Speaker 2: that's the thing we always come back to, and that's
- 9:45Speaker 2: what like the filter at which I attempt to live
- 9:48Speaker 2: my life through unsuccessfully many times. But when it comes
- 9:52Speaker 2: down to it, like jess can I share the same faith,
- 9:54Speaker 2: which I think is very important to us? And I
- 9:56Speaker 2: would imagine that, you know, if you shared totally two
- 9:59Speaker 2: different per perspectives on the world and what exists in
- 10:02Speaker 2: the world, it would be hard. So yes, I agree,
- 10:06Speaker 2: opposites may attract, but the common denominator has to be found. Well,
- 10:24Speaker 2: we've talked many times now about the Golden Bachelor finding
- 10:29Speaker 2: his common nominator, and here's a headline. We're going to
- 10:33Speaker 2: talk more about the Golden Bachelor and kind of about
- 10:35Speaker 2: Bachelor and Paradise as the episode continues, as most can imagine,
- 10:39Speaker 2: but here's the headline. The Golden Bachelor producers are here.
- 10:43Speaker 2: That's in quotes. That must be kind of new term.
- 10:46Speaker 2: They're here for Bachelorette and Bachelor and Paradise spinoffs.
- 10:51Speaker 3: We're here for it, you know. Yeah, So I've never
- 10:56Speaker 3: been able to read a headline and then see Bennett's
- 10:59Speaker 3: name and you know as the quota. Sure, it's kind
- 11:04Speaker 3: of cool. So Bennett is one of the show runners
- 11:07Speaker 3: and a friend of ours for almost a decade, and
- 11:09Speaker 3: he said this, nothing would make us happier dot dot
- 11:13Speaker 3: dot pause, stay tuned. And this was at the Producer's
- 11:18Speaker 3: Guild consideration panel on December eleventh.
- 11:21Speaker 4: That feels like a text I would get from Bennett, Like.
- 11:25Speaker 3: He talks the way. That's why I said. That's why
- 11:29Speaker 3: I said. It says nothing would make us happier. It's
- 11:33Speaker 3: not like he said, do dot dot. That's I said, pause,
- 11:35Speaker 3: stay tuned all I get. And then also Jason Erlick
- 11:40Speaker 3: Claire Freeland to producers that weren't there for our entireties.
- 11:46Speaker 3: They said that I'm here for the Golden for Golden Paradise.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Bennett said, We're ready for it, alrighty Ashley.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Do you know that Jason Erlick was the executive producer
- 11:59Speaker 2: unhappily ever after the show I did post show.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Yes, so you know him quite well.
- 12:03Speaker 4: I know him quite well.
- 12:06Speaker 2: He is back and he ran Paradise this year. So
- 12:12Speaker 2: Nick Viles fiance Natalie asks Victoria Fuller to be her
- 12:19Speaker 2: maid of honor. Now crazy shocking to me, but this
- 12:27Speaker 2: was now posted and public.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, damn made of honor. I thought when I saw
- 12:33Speaker 3: this on social that it was just one of the
- 12:36Speaker 3: bridesmaids game it is, but it's not. I'm looking at
- 12:39Speaker 3: the s whey right now, she said. When getting this
- 12:44Speaker 3: gift box from Natalie, Victoria said screaming, crying, throwing up,
- 12:54Speaker 3: and then she lived on the lid. It says, will
- 12:55Speaker 3: you be my maid of honor? You know, I think
- 12:57Speaker 3: it's just like a gen Z sort of thing, you know,
- 13:00Speaker 3: like just like all the things are coming out of me,
- 13:03Speaker 3: all the emotions.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Okay, that makes sense. Yeah, throwing up always used to
- 13:07Speaker 4: mean like sick, like.
- 13:09Speaker 3: This guy's not good, like gross you. It's like, I
- 13:13Speaker 3: think it's coming out.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Ok.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Yeah, So they I mean she was there with Greg.
- 13:19Speaker 3: They're the only people that were super intimately involved with
- 13:22Speaker 3: the proposal. So I suppose I suppose it's not that surprising. Yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 3: because like basically they're pretending like they were going with
- 13:31Speaker 3: Greg and Victoria to a movie premiere and instead they
- 13:34Speaker 3: were going to this little theater where Nick proposed. So
- 13:39Speaker 3: to have somebody that involved with your engagement, it's yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 3: that makes sense.
- 13:47Speaker 4: I mean they're obviously very close.
- 13:49Speaker 2: This is just I was. I was like, this is wild.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Bachelor Nation is coming full circle again. Well, we have
- 13:56Speaker 2: some baby announcements. Obviously in Bachelor Nation we talked about
- 13:58Speaker 2: Sean Booth having a baby, and now while we're getting
- 14:01Speaker 2: a glimpse of their beautiful child, Sean Booth and Audrey
- 14:07Speaker 2: call Son the greatest thing that's ever happened to us.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Yes, Locke's Joseph Booth was born on December twelfth, at
- 14:21Speaker 3: they said thirteen thirteen military time. Because I guess because
- 14:25Speaker 3: it was twelve twelve at thirteen thirteen, and he is
- 14:29Speaker 3: the greatest thing that's ever happened to us. Sean Johnson's
- 14:32Speaker 3: baby was also born at the same hospital in the
- 14:34Speaker 3: same non exact time, but same day, and the pictures
- 14:39Speaker 3: of this baby are so cute. So congratulations to Sean
- 14:44Speaker 3: Andre He's beautiful.
- 14:48Speaker 2: We're going to bounce back down to some Bachelor in
- 14:50Speaker 2: Paradise News Bachelor Nations. John Henry Spurlock says he didn't
- 14:57Speaker 2: make a mistake proposing to cat Izzo.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, that's really sweet. It's honestly sweet that
- 15:03Speaker 3: he says this, because a proposal obviously means a ton
- 15:08Speaker 3: and it's something that people don't want to do multiple
- 15:11Speaker 3: times usually, and it's also something that people like, you know,
- 15:17Speaker 3: you'd hope that you propose and at least think it
- 15:19Speaker 3: lasts more than six months. But anyway, let's just get
- 15:22Speaker 3: to what John says. He says, thanks for all the
- 15:25Speaker 3: kind words, and to those of you who have nothing
- 15:27Speaker 3: nice to say based on what was shown on edited
- 15:30Speaker 3: reality dating show, just know that I don't feel like
- 15:34Speaker 3: I made a mistake choosing her. Okay, so it actually
- 15:38Speaker 3: the headline which is what people love to do with headlines.
- 15:43Speaker 3: It's a little twisted. He said. He didn't make a
- 15:45Speaker 3: mistake choosing her now proposing it's possibly a different thing.
- 15:51Speaker 4: He said.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I never watched this back and guessed things weird to
- 15:55Speaker 3: say and guest things I guess he meant like, never
- 15:59Speaker 3: thought that I would end up with cat, because then
- 16:01Speaker 3: he goes, I fell for the real Cat is the
- 16:03Speaker 3: cat who always puts my feelings first and did everything
- 16:06Speaker 3: she could to make this work. That cat is a
- 16:10Speaker 3: lot that that cat the cat that a lot of
- 16:15Speaker 3: people truly know, but unfortunately the cat at the Bachelor
- 16:17Speaker 3: Nation doesn't know. Although we decided to go different paths
- 16:21Speaker 3: or an amazing woman and someone will be very lucky
- 16:23Speaker 3: to have you keeping you keep accomplishing your goals and
- 16:26Speaker 3: enjoy the sext chapter in your life in San Diego
- 16:29Speaker 3: working as a nurse practitioner.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I want to know why they didn't stay together, Like
- 16:34Speaker 2: that's the part that not being answered here is what happened,
- 16:37Speaker 2: Like this happened so fast and if they really like
- 16:41Speaker 2: they are engaged, and yes there's time between filming and
- 16:46Speaker 2: airing of the show, they broke up, And so I
- 16:49Speaker 2: just want to know what happened in between then and
- 16:52Speaker 2: how did this fall apart if they were so confident,
- 16:55Speaker 2: And neither of them are saying anything negative, which is great, yeah,
- 16:59Speaker 2: but we're not getting any glimpse set to like how
- 17:01Speaker 2: this fell apart, which would have been great again to
- 17:04Speaker 2: go back to Wells's point for reunion, to say where
- 17:06Speaker 2: did this go wrong? How did this not? Where did
- 17:10Speaker 2: this not continue? And we won't get that. But good
- 17:14Speaker 2: for them. They're supportive of each other, they're proud of
- 17:17Speaker 2: the decisions they made.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Just neither of them are together any longer.
- 17:22Speaker 3: We'll get the answers from one of them in an
- 17:23Speaker 3: interview sometimes soon.
- 17:25Speaker 2: This kind of segues us Ashley into kind of the
- 17:29Speaker 2: next set of headlines, talking about some of some big
- 17:32Speaker 2: headlines around the Golden Bachelor, but also Bachelor and Paradise.
- 17:37Speaker 2: So here's the headline, and then I want to hear
- 17:40Speaker 2: your opinion. Golden Bachelorette may come in spring. Now again,
- 17:45Speaker 2: hear me here may come in spring twenty twenty four,
- 17:48Speaker 2: but Bachelor and Paradise might get shelved.
- 17:52Speaker 3: This is not something that I want to hear just because,
- 17:54Speaker 3: like obviously I met my husband on the Bachelor on
- 17:56Speaker 3: Bachelor in Paradise. It's a very very meaningful show to
- 17:59Speaker 3: me and to show that I do really enjoy watching. Still,
- 18:04Speaker 3: I know that this season wasn't successful as far as
- 18:06Speaker 3: couples go. I'm sure that the ratings are probably the
- 18:08Speaker 3: lowest that they have been and the ratings of obviously
- 18:12Speaker 3: do not compare at all to what Golden is getting. Now,
- 18:18Speaker 3: this is all coming from Reality Steve. So while the
- 18:22Speaker 3: article that we're getting as our source is heavy dot com,
- 18:26Speaker 3: which is a pop culture, you know, news site, it's
- 18:30Speaker 3: Reality Steve that's reporting this, so you know it could
- 18:33Speaker 3: always take it with a grain of salt. So he
- 18:37Speaker 3: was sharing information he heard about what ABC is considering,
- 18:42Speaker 3: but nothing has been confirmed yet. He also noted that
- 18:45Speaker 3: it would be probably at least two or three months
- 18:48Speaker 3: before anything official emerges. Okay, so he's being careful in
- 18:51Speaker 3: his words too. Based on what he hears, he thinks
- 18:55Speaker 3: that there will be a Golden Bachelorette in twenty twenty four,
- 18:59Speaker 3: and then the regular Bachelorette season in March like we
- 19:02Speaker 3: usually get, and then following that there will be the
- 19:04Speaker 3: Golden Bachelorette. He says that he expects the next season
- 19:09Speaker 3: of The Bachelorette to film in March and then until
- 19:12Speaker 3: early May, the way it usually does, and then production
- 19:15Speaker 3: will immediately jump into filming a debut season of the
- 19:18Speaker 3: Golden Bachelorette. Fans who are rallying for their favorite ladies
- 19:23Speaker 3: from Garys season will get a chance to be the
- 19:25Speaker 3: Golden Bachelorette lead, but no firm decision hasn't made yet
- 19:29Speaker 3: though so reality Steve is saying that the two people
- 19:34Speaker 3: that would make sense as the Bachelorette lead, which is
- 19:38Speaker 3: just obvious to everybody out there, would either be Faith
- 19:42Speaker 3: or Leslie. He says that his guests, if it means anything,
- 19:46Speaker 3: would be Leslie, just because of how everything went down,
- 19:50Speaker 3: everything she said, the final rows. And then, in my opinion,
- 19:53Speaker 3: because there has been more time that has passed and
- 19:55Speaker 3: a lot of times they don't choose the runner up
- 19:57Speaker 3: because it's too fresh of a breakup. Given all this,
- 20:01Speaker 3: it seems like producers would probably like to film a
- 20:03Speaker 3: little longer of a season for a Golden Bachelorette this time,
- 20:06Speaker 3: perhaps build some travel in which is something that they
- 20:09Speaker 3: did not do for Gary season. And then he says
- 20:13Speaker 3: that if that falls into place, does that mean the
- 20:15Speaker 3: Bachelor in Paradise is gone forever reality, Steve doesn't necessarily
- 20:21Speaker 3: think that's the case. It's just that they wouldn't be
- 20:24Speaker 3: prioritizing it. They would make sure that after Bachelorette goes
- 20:28Speaker 3: right into Golden instead of right into Paradise.
- 20:31Speaker 2: There's two things I see here. One is I would
- 20:34Speaker 2: be bummed if Bachelor in Paradise doesn't come back. I
- 20:36Speaker 2: think this was a hard season. I think it had
- 20:38Speaker 2: new producers who were kind of figuring out their way,
- 20:41Speaker 2: and I think the cast was in a sense tired,
- 20:47Speaker 2: meaning you had a lot like some repeats and then
- 20:49Speaker 2: some people that we've never known before. What I would
- 20:52Speaker 2: love to see, I'm not saying this is what would happen,
- 20:54Speaker 2: but what I would love to see would be take
- 20:59Speaker 2: a year off of Bachelor in Paradise. Maybe that's fine, Yeah,
- 21:03Speaker 2: you get some excitement around it again. Then you would
- 21:06Speaker 2: have maybe two groups of people plus and maybe some
- 21:10Speaker 2: vets to bring in, so you get like the all
- 21:12Speaker 2: stars back on the beach. But actually the only thing
- 21:15Speaker 2: I can think about here is we used to have
- 21:18Speaker 2: Bachelor Pad and that went away and never came back.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Yeah, yep, it didn't spark as much success as Paradise has.
- 21:28Speaker 3: I think Paradise wouldn't be necessarily over, but I do
- 21:31Speaker 3: think it might need just a little bit of a refresh,
- 21:33Speaker 3: Like you're saying, because we need to get the people
- 21:36Speaker 3: that are in the top four on the beach.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Yeah, you have to.
- 21:40Speaker 2: And so maybe if you take some years off, a
- 21:42Speaker 2: year off, come back and they're still trying to figure
- 21:45Speaker 2: out where this Golden thing fits in. They don't know yet.
- 21:49Speaker 2: This is you know, the Golden Bachelor was very much
- 21:51Speaker 2: an experiment. If they would have known that it would
- 21:54Speaker 2: have been this big of success, they would have done
- 21:56Speaker 2: it four years ago when they started announcing that they
- 21:58Speaker 2: were going to try to do it, But instead they
- 22:00Speaker 2: waited because I don't think they really know what it
- 22:03Speaker 2: is yet.
- 22:04Speaker 4: I think I know what it is. I think you, yeah,
- 22:07Speaker 4: what do you mean?
- 22:08Speaker 3: It's huge and can go on for a long You.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Said it the whole time, but it's whoever's in charge
- 22:13Speaker 2: is not like full. I mean, they might be fully
- 22:15Speaker 2: convinced now, but if again, if they were fully convinced,
- 22:19Speaker 2: they would be like announcing the next Bachelor and saying, yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 2: we're still filming it next year, but here's Leslie, Uh,
- 22:27Speaker 2: you know, she she's gonna be around.
- 22:31Speaker 4: I don't know. It just feels like they're still trying
- 22:33Speaker 4: to figure it feels.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Like, but yeah, it's just weird that they have Eddie hesitance.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I guess, yeah, definitely.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Here's an interesting headline to me Ashley the Golden Bachelor winner.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Teresa NIST's daughter reveals mom's reaction to Gear Turner's ex scandal. Now,
- 23:02Speaker 2: if you aren't familiar, there was some information that was
- 23:08Speaker 2: shared about Gary and his past relationships. Gary spoke to
- 23:13Speaker 2: it in some interviews, specifically with Katie Curic. We didn't
- 23:19Speaker 2: really dive into it here because there seems to be
- 23:22Speaker 2: a lot of nuance and a lot of things unknown
- 23:24Speaker 2: and a lot of different opinions. And at the end
- 23:27Speaker 2: of the day, Gary and Teresa are together and they're
- 23:29Speaker 2: happy and they're planning a future together and that's really
- 23:34Speaker 2: what it's all about. Like, he wasn't cheating on anybody
- 23:37Speaker 2: on this show, and so there's nothing to talk about,
- 23:39Speaker 2: but it still is a little bit shocking, and Teresa's
- 23:44Speaker 2: daughter is talking about it.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's something that the things that came out in
- 23:49Speaker 3: that article, I would definitely have brought up with a
- 23:55Speaker 3: future father. I guess stepfather if it were if I
- 23:59Speaker 3: were in this woman's shoes. So this is what Teresa's
- 24:03Speaker 3: daughter says. She said, my mom and Gary had a
- 24:06Speaker 3: conversation about it, and I don't exactly know the full story,
- 24:09Speaker 3: but you know, she's absolutely good with whatever they talked about.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I think that there's some bit of truth to some
- 24:15Speaker 3: parts of it, and they're on the same page about that,
- 24:18Speaker 3: and that's kind of good enough for me.
- 24:22Speaker 2: And it's kind of the philosophy that we took here
- 24:25Speaker 2: is you know, they spoke about it. Teresa seems to
- 24:29Speaker 2: be down to continue on there with this relationship, and
- 24:31Speaker 2: so if she's down and she's excited, then it's good
- 24:34Speaker 2: enough for us.
- 24:36Speaker 4: We're not going to be the gatekeepers.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, except that I'll say this, okay, I will say
- 24:41Speaker 3: this the story and while yeah, we were only getting
- 24:46Speaker 3: one side of the person's story, it would just make
- 24:51Speaker 3: me be like, I don't know if I want to
- 24:53Speaker 3: rush into marriage. Like That's what's shocking to me with
- 24:56Speaker 3: Teresa is like, okay, because some of these things that
- 25:00Speaker 3: came out about what possibly allegedly happened with Gary and
- 25:03Speaker 3: this other woman that he dated after his wife died.
- 25:06Speaker 3: It seemed to happen a little bit later into the relationship.
- 25:09Speaker 3: So if I'd known him for just four or five
- 25:11Speaker 3: months and then I was jumping to the altar, it
- 25:12Speaker 3: would have made me be like, Okay, I can press
- 25:14Speaker 3: some of the brakes a little.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Bit, definitely, unless they've had conversations like they're saying, and
- 25:20Speaker 2: there wasn't infidelity. Yeah, I know, you know, and some
- 25:25Speaker 2: of this, you know, I know that some critics have said, well,
- 25:29Speaker 2: Gary sold us a story as the Golden Bachelor, and
- 25:31Speaker 2: that's the story, and it wasn't the true story.
- 25:34Speaker 4: We don't really know what story he was telling, Like
- 25:38Speaker 4: he wasn't. I mean, I you know, when we.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Watched it, Yes, I realized he was a man who
- 25:44Speaker 2: lost a wife, and I realized he was still emotional
- 25:46Speaker 2: of that. But I don't other than maybe him saying
- 25:49Speaker 2: he hadn't kissed somebody in a long time, like I
- 25:52Speaker 2: don't remember him leaning I don't even remember. But like
- 25:56Speaker 2: that's some of the stuff that's being said. I don't
- 25:59Speaker 2: think he tried. I had to play up this story
- 26:01Speaker 2: of poor me. In fact, most of the season, especially
- 26:05Speaker 2: after Teresa date and the Diner, he was more excited
- 26:10Speaker 2: about what was in front of him, so there wasn't
- 26:12Speaker 2: a lot of talk about what was what happened in
- 26:15Speaker 2: his past.
- 26:16Speaker 4: And I told you this, Ashley.
- 26:19Speaker 2: We've had long conversations about this, even watching it and
- 26:22Speaker 2: being a fan of Gary and a fan of The
- 26:24Speaker 2: Golden Bachelor. He lives in a lake in Indiana, and
- 26:26Speaker 2: I know how lakes and Indiana operate, and so.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Guys, I didn't know how lakes and Indiana operate. It
- 26:32Speaker 3: gets really intimate, it gets okay. I was gonna get
- 26:37Speaker 3: sack and say sexy.
- 26:39Speaker 4: Yeah, very sexy. I don't know whatever you want to say.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Like everybody's pond tuning around with their shirts off, waving
- 26:44Speaker 2: at each other and drinking at the bars.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Like it's a culture apparently that I would have had
- 26:48Speaker 3: no idea about.
- 26:50Speaker 2: You asked me, do you think Gary has dated since
- 26:53Speaker 2: his wife's passing.
- 26:54Speaker 4: I said, of course he has.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I don't know if he's like dated seriously, But I
- 26:58Speaker 2: was like, I know what this is like in Indiana,
- 27:00Speaker 2: Like it is wild, it is weird. It is a
- 27:02Speaker 2: bunch of people all Gary's age, floating around on you know,
- 27:08Speaker 2: pont tuning around the lake and they are there for
- 27:11Speaker 2: one reason, to have a good time, and so what
- 27:15Speaker 2: this never was shocking to me. I expected it in
- 27:18Speaker 2: a lot of ways that Gary had definitely had dates
- 27:22Speaker 2: or intimate react or interactions with other humans.
- 27:28Speaker 3: And I definitely ate up the fact that he was
- 27:30Speaker 3: so innocent and never slept with anybody since his wife
- 27:33Speaker 3: and all that.
- 27:34Speaker 4: So sure, well he's one for all, it's fine.
- 27:38Speaker 3: And if that's not the case, like obviously, that's fine.
- 27:41Speaker 3: It's just that's what I thought.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, well I don't know. Actually, I'm sorry, I'm.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Sorry, don't cry.
- 27:54Speaker 4: Two last headlines.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Rachel Rekia reveals status of relationship with Blake Moyin's and
- 28:00Speaker 2: if she'd do a solo Bachelorette season.
- 28:03Speaker 3: She said that she would. She and Blake know that's
- 28:10Speaker 3: not going to happen. He's still sick of dealing with me,
- 28:12Speaker 3: she says, And then she said she'd only do a
- 28:15Speaker 3: solo bachelorette journey if Gabby would Lee and her girlfriend
- 28:21Speaker 3: Rob could co host together and then slap her every
- 28:25Speaker 3: time she made a bad decision.
- 28:28Speaker 2: That's cute. They obviously love each other. They're the perfect
- 28:30Speaker 2: people to do this together. Because we sat in a
- 28:34Speaker 2: car with the two of them, and they are as
- 28:37Speaker 2: Gabby and Rachel are just incredible friends, and they like companions,
- 28:42Speaker 2: and they support each other in amazing ways, and they
- 28:45Speaker 2: have this way of saying things to each other that
- 28:47Speaker 2: most people that they weren't really deep friends, it would
- 28:51Speaker 2: be like offensive. But you can tell those two are
- 28:54Speaker 2: close and they've been through it together because when they
- 28:57Speaker 2: say these things to each other, they're just like, yeah,
- 28:58Speaker 2: you're right, listen to each other. So I see why
- 29:01Speaker 2: she want Gabia around.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Well.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Final headline is this charity. Losson reveals when she and
- 29:07Speaker 2: Dotton plan to get married and their upcoming trip.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Oh yes, they're supposed to go to Greece after the show,
- 29:16Speaker 3: and they're finally getting to go now that Dancing with
- 29:18Speaker 3: the Stars is over. She's still doing the tour for
- 29:21Speaker 3: two weeks in February, and in the meantime, she said
- 29:24Speaker 3: they'll be moving and spending time with her family over
- 29:26Speaker 3: the holidays, and then they have sort of set of time.
- 29:31Speaker 3: I don't know if there's a specific date, but the
- 29:34Speaker 3: wedding will be in twenty twenty five, so that's great.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I love to see another bachelor couple, bachelorette couple get
- 29:43Speaker 3: married because it's been a little while since we've seen
- 29:46Speaker 3: a couple from the main show get married.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Sure, this is exciting. Well that's all the headlines we
- 29:51Speaker 2: have for you today. Now, this week is a big
- 29:54Speaker 2: week for the Almost Famous Podcast. We are doing our
- 29:58Speaker 2: bi annual, the tradition of breaking down everybody that's on
- 30:03Speaker 2: the upcoming season. So Joey's cast was released and we're
- 30:07Speaker 2: going to give our first impressions, as wrong as they
- 30:10Speaker 2: may be, but we're going to talk about them. We're
- 30:14Speaker 2: going to break them down. We ask you to follow
- 30:15Speaker 2: along with us. So that episode's coming up too. But
- 30:18Speaker 2: until next time, I've been Ben.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I've been Ashley. See you guys.
