- 1:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, they do say poles do send waterworks.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, now, yes.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Stripper story.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: I'm ready.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: This is one of these ones where, and then we'll get into uh where you can't.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: So way back, this is 1994.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I spent one year.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: Peak stripper era.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Went went peak, top.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: I worked one year in West Palm Beach, Florida.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I bet you they were gorgeous there.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Well, it it's strip clubs, like I don't know, you'd see weed stores, you know, all over the place.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: We talked about that that in our promotions meeting the other day.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Do you know it's weird there's not a lot of strip clubs open anymore because of OnlyFans.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Think about this.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: What's the one in Addison?
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Last lap.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Gone.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I don't think McHill's is open ever since KD retired, but I'm not sure.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Uh I heard Odie Mars is hit and miss.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Uh um Well, it was always hit and miss even when it was open.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Bear Facts was supposed to be purchased by one of the weed guys.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: I always love that you were able to whip out all the names of the uh strip clubs that used to be here.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: I do think it was a weird talent she has.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: It's a great talent.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I do think Madame Orr's is still open, but that's Binghamton.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: And then the other one in Trumansburg, I went to it for an amateur night.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I wasn't the one dancing, though.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: Even after the lessons?
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: What was the name of that?
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: What was the one in Trumansburg?
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, it's not the tip of my tongue.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: Scott's like, I don't know any of them, Allie.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: What are you saying?
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: I'm just waiting for you to get it if it comes to you.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: That one's definitely close because we passed it the other day.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: I think it's apartments.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: West Palm Beach, 1994.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: So you have to realize this would never fly in today's world of business.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: So my program director uh for the radio station I worked for.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Now, this is young Scott, very early in my career, right?
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: You're in your 20s.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: I'm very early 20s.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: And uh I'm I lived basically alone in in West Palm Beach.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: So Neil, our program director.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: I bet you were pulling it in left and right.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, hey, uh, he goes, Hey, do you want to go see?
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: And I can't remember the girl's name, but she worked part-time for us on the radio station.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Cool.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: And she was also a professional pole dancer.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: And he goes, There's a competition going on tonight at Club Whatever, and that he goes, This is like the Trumansburg one.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Do you want to go?
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: And I and you said, of course.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Of course, sure.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And like, I would love to know my coworker in the biblical sense.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Kumacharmers, is the name of it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Uh so the um the skill set, I have to agree with you.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: I can see where the difficulty.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: I'm not talking about seeing, you know, people naked.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: I'm talking the skill set to do this was impressive.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Also, really weird when both of our boss is handing her cash as she's spinning around and around.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Here's your race.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: You get a race.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: It was the weirdest thing.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: So I went with my boss to go see a fellow coworker on a poll.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: That would never happen now because if I let's pretend I was on the poll.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Our boss coming to see me.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Mm mm.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: It would be weird.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: I mean, would he legally be allowed to?
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: But it it would be a good thing.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: But there's boundaries.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: There's total boundaries.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: There were no boundaries in 1994.
