- 0:00Speaker 1: Twenty eight years later, except it wasn't It's not really
- 0:02Speaker 1: it's twenty three, I think, well, in the movie now,
- 0:06Speaker 1: but I mean in real time in reality.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Anyway, I saw it a week ago and I and
- 0:14Speaker 1: I really enjoyed it. It's it's beautifully filmed, it's scary,
- 0:20Speaker 1: it's the zombies are cool.
- 0:23Speaker 3: This was the first movie Gina and I have gone
- 0:25Speaker 3: to see in a theater together, true, and she got
- 0:27Speaker 3: to see my anticipation and yelling at the screen in silence.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Luckily there weren't very many other people in the theater.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it was.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It was eleven o'clock screening on a.
- 0:39Speaker 1: The best time.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Let's let's begin with how was the person that I
- 0:44Speaker 4: thought should play the invisible woman and the fantastic for
- 0:47Speaker 4: a movie?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Jody Comer? How is she great?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Fantastic?
- 0:49Speaker 3: I love her so much.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It's amazing that she can play a kind of comatose,
- 0:57Speaker 1: ill person and yet do it with so much Variety's she's.
- 1:03Speaker 2: The mom, Yes, she's the mom to Spike.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Who's the real star of kidwelve?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Well, he's twelve years old? Isn't he the actor that
- 1:14Speaker 3: was in Jojo Rabbit?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I could not tell. Is he the whole movie?
- 1:19Speaker 1: And then what Aaron Taylor Johnson.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Craven.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I got it. I thought, yes, I thought I was
- 1:27Speaker 1: stacking the wrong.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yeah, no, he was not a Okay, he hasn't done much.
- 1:31Speaker 2: He's pretty young.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And craven. He's always good though.
- 1:36Speaker 4: I mean he even took that crappy Craven movie and
- 1:39Speaker 4: made me like him.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Aaron Taylor Johnson.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah he is, but I will say not in this
- 1:44Speaker 2: a whole lot.
- 1:44Speaker 3: No, he is not the main character.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Right, not the main character, although a lot pivots on him,
- 1:49Speaker 1: and we won't say, don't say what.
- 1:51Speaker 2: No, I'm just gonna say, uh, there is going to
- 1:54Speaker 2: be another movie and he'll be in. Yes, Yeah, it's not.
- 1:56Speaker 2: They didn't kill him off.
- 1:57Speaker 4: No, they shot They shot him back to back.
- 1:59Speaker 1: As What was cool about it? I thought, or one
- 2:03Speaker 1: of the things was, so they live on this island
- 2:06Speaker 1: where they're the zombies. They've managed to keep the zombies away.
- 2:09Speaker 3: It's the scott What is it called the Scottish.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's a real place, it is, Yeah, and uh it's
- 2:15Speaker 1: connected to the mainland by uh. But you can when
- 2:19Speaker 1: the tide goes down, then you can walk across.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It's a causeway, yes, okay.
- 2:24Speaker 1: And it's that's really cool.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Low tide is the only time you can cross it.
- 2:27Speaker 3: High tide is too much.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And can the zombies not swim? Is that what the
- 2:32Speaker 1: zombies they know?
- 2:34Speaker 3: No, the infected cannot swim. That's why they're safe.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah, and there's some some there's some really slow
- 2:42Speaker 1: zombies that are ground lovers. They're down on the ground.
- 2:46Speaker 1: They're pretty cool.
- 2:46Speaker 3: That was That was cool and interesting to see.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But I don't know the big the big. Then there's
- 2:50Speaker 1: a giant zombie. Yeah, and and he's giant in many ways.
- 2:55Speaker 3: And that's what everybody has been discussing.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You know, I hardly even noticed that he's.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I wasn't paying attention to that.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Are you getting the spoilers here?
- 3:03Speaker 2: No?
- 3:04Speaker 3: No, no, because this has been spoiled since the first
- 3:07Speaker 3: since the first people saw this movie.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, he's totally naked, and he's giant in
- 3:13Speaker 1: many ways.
- 3:13Speaker 2: It makes sense that after twenty eight years most of
- 3:16Speaker 2: them would have lost their.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Thank you, That's exactly my explanation.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Since why did you need that explanation?
- 3:22Speaker 3: Well, because a lot number one the walking dead. Always
- 3:25Speaker 3: there's always people and zombies walking around clothes. Because I'm
- 3:29Speaker 3: just saying this is one of the most accurate yes
- 3:34Speaker 3: with the fact that closed after so many.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Very very accurate if if zombies are on the British.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Island, but they they no, I was one worried Katie,
- 3:46Speaker 2: it wasn't scary enough for you.
- 3:49Speaker 3: It's not that it's scary.
- 3:52Speaker 2: She's a professional. I don't know. I meant, I thought,
- 3:55Speaker 2: because there's there's there's an actual story here where there's
- 3:58Speaker 2: not always something scary going.
- 3:59Speaker 3: But it's hence it's it's very tense, it's very stress inducing,
- 4:02Speaker 3: to the point where Gina I, we're we have these
- 4:05Speaker 3: comfortable lounge chairs. We're sitting there and I'm still sitting
- 4:08Speaker 3: up like hand hand motioning to myself like what are
- 4:12Speaker 3: you doing? Why are you doing this?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Remind me to never go to a movie there.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I'm quiet. I just moved my hands a lot.
- 4:19Speaker 1: It's uh so, it has a good it has a story,
- 4:24Speaker 1: contrary to what some some people in this building say.
- 4:28Speaker 1: And uh and then what's his name? Ray Fines was
- 4:33Speaker 1: he's he's in so good. He's in a you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: in a scene part of the movie that's kind of
- 4:38Speaker 1: pivotal and uh and it's you. I guess you'd almost
- 4:41Speaker 1: call it a cameo role.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It's it's more than that.
- 4:43Speaker 1: He's just in it for one big scene.
- 4:47Speaker 3: And he's I mean he's mentioned and then he's he's
- 4:51Speaker 3: in a big piece.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Of it, I think, not just one scene.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's there to say, don't vote for me
- 4:57Speaker 4: for poet, I'm not the pope.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Do it. I'll do way I would do it.
- 5:01Speaker 2: If you're into it. I have a name picked out,
- 5:04Speaker 2: but downvote for me.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But by one scene, I mean he's in one chunk
- 5:08Speaker 1: of the movie. Yeah, and he's he's quite quite effective,
- 5:12Speaker 1: I think.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I think the filming of on on the iPhones, and
- 5:16Speaker 3: if you've seen the setups that they have with how
- 5:18Speaker 3: the iPhones were.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Done, I'm fifty of them on a round.
- 5:21Speaker 3: It was really well done.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I still don't know how they would do that.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It was so cool.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It's a lot of editing.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It's because for the action sequences they wanted some kind
- 5:29Speaker 2: of stop motion kind of things anyway, like the kind
- 5:33Speaker 2: of like the matrix. Yeah, you know where you're like
- 5:36Speaker 2: falling and there is.
- 5:38Speaker 1: At the end of it. It's definitely a cliffhanger. Sure, yes,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I mean it's you said, Oh oh, I see, there's
- 5:44Speaker 1: gonna be another one.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. I cried in a horror movie. And I'm
- 5:51Speaker 2: not a cry you know, I'm not a crier.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Not in movies. I cry all I cry every time
- 5:58Speaker 1: in a Bride of Frankenstein when he when he says,
- 6:01Speaker 1: why can I not be dead like you?
- 6:04Speaker 2: But I mean there's mom stuff in here. Yeah, there's
- 6:07Speaker 2: big mom stuff in here.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Jody Comer, Yeah, okay.
- 6:11Speaker 3: And she does so well.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Well, it's not the only mom stuff. There's a mom zombie.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Well that's that's Bill. That's a big it's a big spoiler.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Yeah it is. No, it's not. It is.
- 6:26Speaker 2: It's one of the best parts of the movie. Leave
- 6:30Speaker 2: it at that, all right.
- 6:32Speaker 3: It was a beautiful movie. And I'm I was telling
- 6:34Speaker 3: Gina right after, I was like, if they're going to
- 6:36Speaker 3: do this again, is it gonna end up being a
- 6:39Speaker 3: countdown from twenty eight days later or from twenty eight
- 6:42Speaker 3: years later to count back down twenty eight months later
- 6:45Speaker 3: to twenty eight weeks later.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Because of the I don't know, but the way it ends,
- 6:50Speaker 3: that's that's what my thought process is the way, the
- 6:52Speaker 3: way it ended.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I'm I'm looking forward to the next one.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Me too.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Do we don't? Is there? Does anybody know what the
- 6:58Speaker 1: next one is called?
- 6:59Speaker 4: No, it's the Something. It's it's it doesn't say twenty
- 7:03Speaker 4: eight anything later.
- 7:05Speaker 1: It's it's finished, I know.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And they did it all something something castle to something.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Island, and it's coming out, and it's coming out pretty
- 7:14Speaker 1: relatively soon.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I think, oh yeah, I have it right here. Okay,
- 7:18Speaker 2: the bone temple, bone temple.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh that makes sense, and.
- 7:21Speaker 2: It's coming out. You know what that is in January?
- 7:24Speaker 3: All right, my birthday, birthday month.
- 7:27Speaker 2: There you go, Okay, cool, all right, thank you, thanks
- 7:29Speaker 2: you traffic.
- 7:31Speaker 1: It's not a spoiler. I didn't tell you anything about
- 7:34Speaker 1: the moms on.
- 7:34Speaker 4: But the fact that they can have babies is now,
- 7:38Speaker 4: that's a spoiler. Well then, why would you call it
- 7:41Speaker 4: a mom zombie
