- 0:20Speaker 2: How you doing fantastic, Mark Simone. The Yankees won last night.
- 0:25Speaker 1: All I to know you were a big Yankee fan?
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yes, yes, and I was not was not expecting it.
- 0:30Speaker 2: They have blown out the first two games, but yay
- 0:33Speaker 2: were roaring back. Now. Hey, oh and I met a
- 0:36Speaker 2: fan of yours at the game.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Oh you were at the game?
- 0:39Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, Bill Tuckey, big fan of yours and Bill
- 0:43Speaker 2: O'Reilly's and mine, probably a lot of them are. But
- 0:47Speaker 2: happened to meet him.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Well, Bill O'Reilly was there last night at the game.
- 0:51Speaker 2: He was. He was claiming that he had heard he
- 0:53Speaker 2: was going to be there.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he was there last night.
- 0:56Speaker 2: So the fan. Oh okay, yeah, he was right picture.
- 0:59Speaker 1: He was a Yankee fan. But I guess that makes sense.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Southern Connecticut. Southern Connecticut is Yankees, Northern Connecticut is Red
- 1:06Speaker 2: Sox rivals.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So hey, I was telling you the you know, the liberal.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You know there's angry old women that live on the
- 1:15Speaker 1: Upper West Side and Upper east Side the well, yes
- 1:17Speaker 1: I do, the angry Democrat. I was telling them they
- 1:20Speaker 1: got to start seriously pacing themselves. You got three and
- 1:24Speaker 1: a half more years of this. You have to pace
- 1:28Speaker 1: your shows.
- 1:31Speaker 2: No, you're totally right. I mean it's hard to watch
- 1:34Speaker 2: them and see without laughing out loud. This one from
- 1:37Speaker 2: the real Banger from Chris Murphy last night. Uh, he's
- 1:42Speaker 2: I guess the senator from from my former state of Connecticut. Uh.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And I mean it's the same thing we've been hearing
- 1:48Speaker 2: every day, but particularly hysterical last night about how Trump
- 1:51Speaker 2: is going to cancel elections and uh, he's he's creating
- 1:57Speaker 2: an authoritarian government and I think he's gonna lock up
- 2:00Speaker 2: lock up liberals, which I don't know. It all sounds
- 2:02Speaker 2: great to me, but maybe a teensy bit overwrought. It
- 2:08Speaker 2: was the saying I've been hearing the same thing now
- 2:11Speaker 2: since basically he won his first election in twenty sixteen.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Do even their viewers think, I don't know, maybe this
- 2:20Speaker 2: is the boy who cried wolf. I think I've heard
- 2:24Speaker 2: that before.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Yeah, what is it about Connecticut? You got the two
- 2:27Speaker 1: dirtiest senators this crazy Chris Murphy and Blumenthal, two really
- 2:31Speaker 1: awful senators. How did that happen?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Now, it's very strange, I know, and plus as you know,
- 2:38Speaker 2: without meaning to destroy his chances. But the Democratic governor
- 2:43Speaker 2: Ned Lamont is a pretty sane Democrat. I mean he
- 2:47Speaker 2: is a Democrat, but he imposed I think the largest
- 2:50Speaker 2: tax cut in Connecticut history. He's not crazy, but the
- 2:53Speaker 2: senators are utterly embarrassing. I don't know. It happens to
- 2:56Speaker 2: a lot of good states.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, but again you got to pace yourself. Look
- 3:01Speaker 1: at this. John Stewart last night on Monday Night, he
- 3:04Speaker 1: said ICE is a param well funded, paramilitary group. There
- 3:08Speaker 1: zip tying grandmothers and children. What is he talking about?
- 3:13Speaker 2: It's it's odd that the one set of federal laws
- 3:19Speaker 2: the Democratic Party officially thinks that it's it's their moral
- 3:23Speaker 2: duty to say should not be enforced. Are are the
- 3:28Speaker 2: immigration laws? I mean, there's are laws on the books.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Why not? Why don't they go protest outside when EPA
- 3:35Speaker 2: administrators are are are are stopping a company from throwing
- 3:41Speaker 2: pollutants into a river? Why don't we have Antifa out
- 3:44Speaker 2: there blocking e p A agents, ramming their cars into
- 3:47Speaker 2: e p A agents, Or when Juliani was arresting the
- 3:52Speaker 2: insider traders, No, no, no, we're going They're utterly aimless
- 4:00Speaker 2: about it. And you know that that ridiculous creature on
- 4:04Speaker 2: MSNBC something sober Off, who is the we must transform
- 4:09Speaker 2: America into Ecuador immediately reporter? They just they casually say, no,
- 4:16Speaker 2: all these people they're not criminals. Well, okay, but if
- 4:20Speaker 2: they're here illegally, they gotta go. That's the law. Okay,
- 4:25Speaker 2: maybe Trump's ice isn't going to be concentrating on them,
- 4:30Speaker 2: but they act like this is you know, how dare you?
- 4:35Speaker 2: These are federal laws? And these are federal laws. I mean,
- 4:37Speaker 2: it's not like Stephen Miller and Trump invented these laws.
- 4:41Speaker 2: These laws were passed over the last fifty years by
- 4:45Speaker 2: Republican and Democratic presidents, signed into law, passed with Republicans
- 4:50Speaker 2: and Democrats in the Senate in the House banging out compromises.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And these are the laws in what's that thing? They love?
- 4:58Speaker 2: Democracy created laws on the books, and and they're indignant
- 5:03Speaker 2: and think they have some moral high ground for saying no,
- 5:06Speaker 2: how dare you enforced federal law.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Hey, here's some numbers. ICE has already deported four hundred
- 5:13Speaker 1: and ninety three thousand illegals, and they believe one point
- 5:18Speaker 1: six million have left voluntarily self deported. It's pretty good.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah. I remember when they made fun of Romney for
- 5:27Speaker 2: the self deportation. I get, of course they're going to
- 5:29Speaker 2: self deport, but you gotta start making it, making it uncomfortable.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I mean remember that line they used to use that,
- 5:38Speaker 2: you know, oh, the poor illegals, they're living in the
- 5:40Speaker 2: shadows living. Well, yeah, breaking the law is supposed to
- 5:44Speaker 2: be uncomfortable.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'm sorry you're uncomfortable breaking our laws illegals. But no,
- 5:50Speaker 2: that isn't really our problem. To make sure you you
- 5:53Speaker 2: were not quote living in the shadows as they are
- 5:55Speaker 2: appearing on the cover of Time magazine and getting shows
- 5:58Speaker 2: on MTV.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Ye about that living in the shadows. See every time
- 6:02Speaker 1: in a restaurant, they come right over to your table.
- 6:03Speaker 1: They're the bus boy. They're on the streets selling candy bars,
- 6:06Speaker 1: are there everywhere living in the shadows.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Okay, the candy bars, you're right, the bus boys, I
- 6:12Speaker 2: think I think mister elitist, Mark Simone, you are wrong.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I bet you. Most of them are legal.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Okay, well nowadays all the restaurants are. They do have
- 6:20Speaker 1: legal employees, but uh, these illegals.
- 6:23Speaker 2: My point with that is, if I could interrupt you
- 6:27Speaker 2: or me to say this, this idea that suddenly every
- 6:30Speaker 2: Mexican restaurant is going to disappear, No, I promise you
- 6:34Speaker 2: we are chocked full of Mexicans legally legal. There's lots
- 6:39Speaker 2: of them. No, you'll still have You'll still have your
- 6:41Speaker 2: greens on the golf course, Mark Simo. They will be
- 6:47Speaker 2: it will be neatly trimmed. They're still your pools will
- 6:51Speaker 2: be crystal clear, not even a little bit of slime.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And it will all be done by legal immigrants.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I don't forget the car wash.
- 6:59Speaker 2: In the car wash, those slimy tomaine filled fruits and
- 7:07Speaker 2: candy bars that they're selling on the street, clogging up
- 7:10Speaker 2: the sidewalks, violating New York City laws, by the way,
- 7:13Speaker 2: in addition to federal immigration laws. You can't just sell
- 7:17Speaker 2: stuff on the street like that. But but it's pretty
- 7:20Speaker 2: awful all these Venezuelans they've dumped on the city.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And what is it with the candy bars, trying to
- 7:25Speaker 1: kill us with fenel. Now they're trying to kill us
- 7:27Speaker 1: with candy bars.
- 7:30Speaker 2: No one of those hideous mango things they have. I
- 7:34Speaker 2: would like I would like some some reports on emergency
- 7:38Speaker 2: room admissions from poisoning from those things.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Well, but midterms, what do you think, Democrats? I think
- 7:48Speaker 1: you're just digging themselves into a hole here. It's not
- 7:50Speaker 1: going to be good in the midterms.
- 7:52Speaker 2: Well, the reason, the reason I keep putioning that that
- 8:02Speaker 2: we may it may not be a good year for
- 8:03Speaker 2: Republicans is because historically that has been the case. And
- 8:08Speaker 2: Democrats have this sneaky little trick or they allow America
- 8:11Speaker 2: each side will just cheerlead for its own team. I've
- 8:14Speaker 2: noticed this one. I see conservatives on TV before an
- 8:18Speaker 2: election saying, oh, yeah, we're gonna win, We're gonna win,
- 8:20Speaker 2: when everyone knows we're about to lose. But each side,
- 8:24Speaker 2: I guess it's a way of of you know, creating
- 8:27Speaker 2: morale on your side. What Democrats to do, even if
- 8:30Speaker 2: they're about to have a very narrow victory, is allow
- 8:33Speaker 2: Republicans to go out and say, oh, we're gonna crush,
- 8:36Speaker 2: We're gonna kill it's gonna be a landslide, and then
- 8:38Speaker 2: when well Republicans only pick up a few seats or
- 8:41Speaker 2: actually lose seats, Democrats will turn around and say, you see,
- 8:45Speaker 2: this is a complete repudiation of everything you've been doing.
- 8:50Speaker 2: They have done this historically, so just keep I think
- 8:55Speaker 2: the Democrats are nuts. I think they deserve to lose.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I hope most Americans aren't just crazy as these people are.
- 9:02Speaker 2: But historically the party out of power has more energy
- 9:06Speaker 2: and gumption and enthusiasm and people. Also, America is just
- 9:14Speaker 2: instinctively like divided governments, even when one half of that
- 9:17Speaker 2: divide is out of its mind. So I think the
- 9:22Speaker 2: just keep in mind. The odds are that we will
- 9:24Speaker 2: lose seats.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Oh all right, well, hey, everybody follow and Culture on
