- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Uh don't forget tomorrow uh we uh we have the birthday wheel.
- 0:03SPEAKER_02: Could you go into the Halloween weekend with$500 plus dollars?
- 0:07SPEAKER_02: You could.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that'd be awesome.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: That's a great way to spend Halloween.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Because not only is it Halloween, it's also daylight savings time, too.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you go fall backwards.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: I mentioned this yesterday.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Which you might with the extra hour.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: But I mentioned this yesterday.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: I'll mention it again.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: This is the last time that Halloween's gonna be on a Saturday until 2037.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, it's so long from now.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: You gotta make it count.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: That's a decade from now.
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: More than that.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Also, is anyone getting married on Saturday?
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: One of my I know somebody.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: When I was at uh last week, when I was at Shred Days, one of the surview employees that was, you know, working that event, uh, she had made mention she's got a Halloween wedding coming.
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: And it is costume uh costume or encouraged.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, that's the word.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: My friend Kelly, she got married on Halloween.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: This was oh, probably almost uh close to 20 years ago.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: It's when I first started here, and costumes were also encouraged.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but the uh bridesmaids had to wear black dresses and then they could change into a costume if they wanted to.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: But it was the one bridesmaid's dress that I wore multiple times because it's black.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: It's easy.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: You can use it.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she was she was funny.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: The uh the lady that uh uh from Surview, when I was out there, she was talking about she goes, Yeah, but the kids that are involved, they're all like, Yeah, we're going trick-or-treating, we're not coming to the wedding right now, we'll be there later.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: I'm like, Okay, that's yeah, whatever you want to do, and just bring the candy to the wedding.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: That's what I say.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: I think that would be a g a great thing to have a candy bar.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's a great idea.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:32SPEAKER_02: Well, she should have called us before she made all the plans.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: I know, right?
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: I have to play this for you.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: It's so timely.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Halloween two days away.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: I mean, unless you're in the valley, in which case trick-or-treat tonight, yeah.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Um, but uh so Halloween just two days away.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: If you know the pain of driving through Shimon County recently with every road having been repaved, which by the way, I have to say, highly impressed with something.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Yesterday, they were doing walnut, which has been torn up for God knows how long.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: In one morning, they had the road done up here by the prison and the subway.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: That had been torn up for nine days.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: The miracle mile, they claim, is going to be done today.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: And that's pretty smooth already.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: So I mean, when I'm traveling in, there's no one on the road, and they're not doing any paving, there's no delays for me to do that.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: That's why it's smooth.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Oh my God.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: So I came back from vacation and all of a sudden the whole road was smooth.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is nice.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: It has been fun to watch, especially the few days that you were gone that they were ripping it up here, and it's so timely because this guy went on TikTok, did a little bit of a road rage, but did it with a little bit of a Halloween twist.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, you're gonna cut me off?
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, no, don't do that! I thought we were having a nice drive.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Get off the phone, Sydney Prescott! If you don't speed up, I'll speed up your journey to the afterlife! Uh-oh, car accident.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: They did the crash.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: They did the motor crash.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: The motor crash! It was a new car smash.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Crazy.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Yesterday, when I was going home, there's obviously a lot of cars and they're still paving.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Well, somebody broke down where they were paving.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, how much does that suck?
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: So then there's us who were trying to go around that car.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: It was in our lane.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: And the lady who was just right behind me, you know where you can see, like right behind you, but she's in the next lane over.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: She at first did not want to let me over.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, you know what I did?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: What'd you do?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I did, which I think this is the polite thing to do, and more people should do this.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I put my hand right out the window.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: I was like, thank you.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: You're gonna let me go.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Can I get a pumpkin spice latte, please?
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Your driving is Oh.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Guess not.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: What happened there?
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: The equivalent of a house that gives out raisins on Halloween.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: I love this guy.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: That is so true.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: You want to get you want another Halloween thing?
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: This was sent to me by 1132.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: When you're on Facebook Marketplace, you you know, I'm like searching for something specific.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I might be searching for a plant.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Or I'm searching for um some sort of kitchen table or something.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: A purple bucket for Halloween because you're gonna be the house that, you know, wants to make sure that all the kids get included.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, Scott.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: So just your just stop.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: But this is the best thing.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: I'm not putting one out, but you know.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: What?
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Two grave plots next to each other.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: They're on Facebook Marketplace?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: In horse heads.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: That's great.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: Um, these are at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Now, I don't know how much grave plots usually cost, but this It is not a cheap it is not cheap preparing for the after.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: It is I I think a deal.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: $800 for two.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: For two?
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Isn't that a deal?
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And also, why are you selling?
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: Yes, that was my Oh my god, I was waiting.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: Like, do you did you become a vampire and you no longer are going to die and now your grave plots are just a waste?
- 5:06SPEAKER_02: Or you're like, let me get some cash.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Or is it because like you had a falling out with your mom and you're like, I'm not burying you there now.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: Find your own plot.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: You divorced.
- 5:16unknown: Oh.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: Could that oh my god, that just hit me as we were talking about it.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Like, why would you sell your plots together?
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: I don't know, but I think Oh my god, that would be the one right there.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: You're no longer a couple.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: You don't want to be buried next to that person for all of eternity.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: I don't have a plot, do you?
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: No.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: Well if you listen to the show, we don't even have a plan half the time.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: I am thinking, wait, should I buy this for Zach and I to make sure that we're buried next?
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Till till death to us parts.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, right?
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: And I just feel like if it's a really good price.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm thinking.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: If it's it's gotta be a divorce.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: If it's a screaming deal, because let me tell you one thing, and this is why I'm thinking about buying this, this, these two plots.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: My grandparents bought a bunch of plots because a parent.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: Well, you look at your grandfather, he needed a bunch.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: So true.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, so true.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: So he at one point it was your grand there, your grandmother's on one side and there's like eight women on the other of them.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: He knew he was setting up for the future.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: So at one point there was a cemetery, or I mean, I assume like cemetery funeral home, whatever.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Anyway, they were having a sale, so he bought a bunch of plots.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Is this a cemetery sale?
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: It does sort of stop you for a second.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: But how smart was he?
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: He bought it at the cheapest price.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: Isn't this kind of smart to buy these two plots for$800?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: No, it's very smart.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: And but I do want the story behind it.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: I mean, who does not?
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: I'm kind of curious to talk to our funeral friend.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: What's his name?
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: Kevin.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Kevin Sullivan, thank you.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: To ask him what is the normal rate for a plot and should I buy this?
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, I don't think they're cheap.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is a good one.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: Allie next to junior.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, I should buy this plot.
- 7:01SPEAKER_02: Based on your past, that's the relationships that do last the longest.
- 7:04unknown: So
