- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: One of the biggest offensive linemen you're ever going to see, we're going to talk about the Jaguar's trading for Daniel Falele, what he brings to the team.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_00]: what the team is currently lacking, how the offensive line situation could potentially play out, all angles covered, really appreciate y'all being here.

- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's trading a late-round pick for Daniel Fulele, who signed with the Giants this off season.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: He had been with the Ravens his entire career before that was a four more fourth round pick.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Selection, one 10 overall in the fourth round, 2022, I actually remember him coming out of Minnesota.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: As a projecty, tracy type of,
- 1:00[SPEAKER_00]: offensive lineman.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: I was excited about him at the time.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: No question about it and that's not to sit here and say that like this is a home run move or anything like that just because my you know, draft evaluation he was a tracy, toolsie prospect that had some really good tape.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously,
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's an Australian.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: So he has not been playing football his whole life.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: He did come over in high school, started playing football over at IMG Academy, went to Minnesota, played there.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: I thought, did a pretty good job there.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: The guy is six foot, eight, three hundred, eighty pounds.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he's listed at.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's 26 years old.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in the NFL for four years, all of which were with Baltimore prior to signing with the Giants this year.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: And look, John Harbaugh, former Ravenshead coach,
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: over with the giants now.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: So that connection makes sense.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: There's also connection with like he played with Patrick McCary too.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_00]: And now, you know, kind of
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: kind of elevated when Patrick McCarray left the Ravens, played more ball because of that.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then he did play in 2024, which Patrick McCarray did too, a good amount of snaps.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just kind of funny following the path from Patrick McCarray, Baltimore down to Jacksonville.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, Patrick McCarray's injured here.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_00]: But his first two years, he was playing more tackle,
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't starting his first two years in Baltimore though.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: He was playing more tackle wasn't starting wasn't playing very well quite frankly struggling mildly and In 2024 and 2025 he started you know, I think every game for the Ravens at right guard Yeah, specifically at right guard.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's the only spot he was playing and
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: numbers wise did a pretty good job overall.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, nothing outstanding, but his past pro efficiency over those two years was about 96.8, which means, you know, not allowing a pressure or a sack or a hurry, a hit on 96.8% of
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: those dropbacks pretty strong penalties, nothing jumps out really I mean six penalties in 2024 or five penalties in 2025.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's just the numbers, right?
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't really illustrate what he is or who he is or how he can function.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: To me, when I watched, I went back and watched two games from Volelei from last year at right guard for the Ravens.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: I see obviously again an absolute behemoth from a size standpoint.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: He is huge, six foot eight, three hundred eighty pounds, by far the Jaguar's biggest player on
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: He's a tough guy, and you see a lot of physical, it's not just that he's 68380, like he holds that really well.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like you would think a 380 pound man would kind of look a little heavy in the waistline.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's not the case at all.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's just a huge guy.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he moves well, I think at his size, when he gets hands on you,
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: You see defenders, just like the initial jolt, they get moved, just off the initial contact.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: When he has forward momentum or any momentum at all and he's trying to move you in a certain way, you're going to move in that direction, bottom line, you absolutely are.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now when it comes to the run game,
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: I see that movement immediately at pops, like guys, when his hands hit, they jolt and he has that type of power.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't see a lot of sustain, I don't see the grip strength or just the technical ability to grip and sustain blocks consistently and move people in that way again.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Even if he doesn't sustain blocks for a long time, the initial contact is generally enough for the play to work just because he's moving you out of the way for at least a brief second.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: And usually in the NFL with the way plays work, I mean, that's enough for the play to function.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: In pass protection, I think he is a little bit better overall, and pass pro as a guard than he is in the run game.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: As somebody who's 380 pounds, trying to move and have the agility in space when you're blocking and trying to block down field and sustain blocks, it's hard to stay on somebody when you're that big, right?
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: The initial jolt, not too difficult for him, but staying with someone who's much smaller than you when you're that big is difficult.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: However, as a pass protector on the interior where you're not playing with
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: He takes up a lot of that gap.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's difficult to run around him.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: And when he gets hands on you, when he is not trying to keep up with you in space, he's got more of a phone booth situation, it looks a lot cleaner.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that this is a move that makes a lot of sense for the Jaguars and a lot of ways right now, mainly because
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: They are in a tough spot with the injury situation on the offensive line.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna dive into that, but first, did want to talk to you a little bit about my bookie here.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, they are 0.5.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: 0.5 home favorites over the Panthers this week over at my bookie.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still not super confident in that one.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, mentioned that one earlier today.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the starters play we don't really know, but I really do like the jag wars for the playoffs at plus one 24 the jag wars are not favorite to make the playoffs over at my bookie.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's a that's a pretty good one.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm definitely looking at, but you can find all the action over on my booking mobile or desktop.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: If you're new to the club, the betback bonus gives you protection on your first play.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: You can sign up with my promo code Duval, all caps, DUVAL, opt into the betback bonus and take your first shot with a safety net.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: If your first wager loses, you'll get it right back.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: No questions asked.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: you can get in on all the NFL action over at my bookie anytime anywhere that's my bookie code dovall must be 21 plus 18 plus in select jurisdictions terms and conditions apply gambling problem call 1800 gambler or visit 1-800 gambler.net for free confidential support available 24-7.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I think there's a lot of negativity about Daniel Fawlay lay from his tape at tackle.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I also think, you know, Giants fans have not been super impressed with him so far, probably just based on one preseason game, which like, the guy has four years of taped, two years of 1,000 plus snaps for the Ravens that I'm going to fall back on a lot more than I'm going to fall back on a couple reps during the preseason in 2026 personally.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: That's my opinion.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the Jaguars are trading for Daniel Falele to start.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they are trading for him for any reason other than the fact that Holvin Lannon is still down.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: Walker little, he's back now fortunately, but he was down.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: You have, to Medoga down, you have Patrick McCary, don't know what his timeline is going to be.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think the Jaguar's ideal starting five entering this off season.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: It was pretty clear.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: It was the same starting five from last year, although, well, no, yeah, it was the same starting five from last year.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was Colvin Lannon, and then, you know, at left tackle, it was, as a Cleveland, at left guard, Robert Hainesy at Center, at right guard, Patrick McHerry, at right tackle, Anton here's, and well, Colvin Lannon,
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: ACL injury, knee injury, whatever it was, not entirely clear so far, or, or, you know, the jacks just haven't really kind of made that available.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: But knee injury in week 18, after the games out of reach, which I thought was a horrible decision.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I thought so at the time, why is he in the game, talked about that, people are like, oh, you can't sell out all of your offensive linemen.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: No, you can't, but you can't sell out ants on Harrison and cold mainland and the two most important people to protect Trevor Lawrence and a playoff game, but they were trying
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: I still think that was a mistake.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I digress.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Colvin Lannon, still on the pup.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, Anton Harrison gets his shot at left tackle, looks really good.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: That ain't changing.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Anton Harrison's your starting left tackle.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: So now, I think your ideal starting five for the Jags is Anton Harrison, Ezra Cleveland, Robert Hansie, at right tackle Colvin Lannon when he gets back,
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: And then at guard, it would be some combination of two of Walker Little, as your Cleveland definitely on the field, and I think a manual pregnant on.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: And why my limbs also down right now, too, that's another offensive lineman.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I know a lot of fans would much rather see a manual pregnant on than Walker Little on the field at guard, but right now you have three guys that can play guard for you.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Walker Little's gonna be playing tackle until Colvin Lannon's back.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: So you still have two that you feel good about in Ezra Cleveland and Emmanuel Pregnant.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: You need another guy, because when the Jaguars back up offensive Lyman got out there last week and granted, those are players in Ricky Lee and the rest of those guys draw on Christian Sam Mooster for number 62, Jim Toe, like those guys
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: But with the way injuries have been going, the Jaguar is needed someone to come in and solidify who can play tackle if you absolutely have to have them do that.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I think can come solidify the guard depth for you a little bit better than it was and actually make things look a little bit more passable because Ricky Lee was horrible in that preseason game.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Jerome Christian was bad Sam Mooster for was bad.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: These guys were doing a horrible job.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, but Jim, Jim, it was difficult to watch.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: So at the very least, you now have somebody in Daniel Falele, who the Jack Wars Liam Cohen talked about it after practice.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: He has a lot of starting experience in this league.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: And he has obviously incredible size.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: So they're excited to get him in here.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_00]: And at this point, trading a late round draft pick,
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: that he's probably got a really good shot to make the team.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: What does this mean for Patrick McCarrie's injury?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: Does it mean he's going to be out like a long time?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: They said in the initial report, Ian Rappaport said, like, they don't know what they're going to do regarding it.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Andrew Reserve, he had a back surgery, when was that back surgery?
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: Don't really know.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know when he's going to be back.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: Don't know if he's going to be back this year, really it's up in the air.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: Chuma Doga is supposed to be back.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: for the regular season, I think it's possible Daniel Falei is just a better player straight up than Tuma Adoga.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see how that plays out.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_00]: Why am I supposed to be back soon?
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: So I think, and obviously a lot of things with the offensive line for the regular season kind of hinge on when Colvin and Lanning gets back, but I would put Daniel Falei
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Among healthy players, he's probably in the top seven or eight for the jag wars right now.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but when everyone's healthy, which hopefully Colva and Lanam will be ready for a week one.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, Chima doga will be back soon, why am I going to be supposed to be back next week?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: So things can clear up here pretty quickly, outside of who knows about Patrick McCarray.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is also, they signed Timothy McCarray earlier this week, so they got a couple new guys in here that I think potentially can hopefully give like
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mullins and Carter Bradley in those guys a little bit more room to breathe here On the offensive line when the backups have to enter the game second third string, et cetera Yeah, so that's kind of my take on it I don't think that they're bringing in Daniel Foulay light to start.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: I know some of my friends were texting about that It's like no, I don't think there's any any situation right now in which he's a starter unless there's even more injuries that end up happening
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: because I would definitely have a manual pregnant on ahead of him even though he's a younger player.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's got a lot more talent.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got that.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: It factored to him.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: Compared to Fulele.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I would just want to give him more opportunities than I would Fulele personally, but you know, it's Fulele better than why I'm right now.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: I see better than Chuma doger right now.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: Again, two guys that are both injured, but
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: when they're back and they're at full strength.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: They see better than not either of those guys.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I think he might be.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: I personally think why it myelms been all right.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think he was all right in the preseason game.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: I've not been a big fan of the way, Tuma has played this off season and certainly in the regular season last year when he was called upon.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll do it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: This is a play for, you know, you started the,
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: Trading camp with 16 players on the offensive line, you got down to 9, you have guys out there during games that just do not look like they belong on an NFL 90 man roster, and so you made some moves to try to improve the group.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here for it.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe y'all for good one.
