Transcript
- 0:00Welcome to Turn Back the Clock. I am your host, Adam.
- 0:04I go by Splendid Sports. Dylan, what do you go by?
- 0:07Double D vintage baseball cards, all right.
- 0:10We are back here on the Sports Card clubhouse.
- 0:13Got a fun episode here planned, but I got to thank you.
- 0:17First off, you know our new hopefully time that we do these
- 0:21is pretty early. Your time.
- 0:23What's it like 8:30 in the morning?
- 0:25Your time? Hawaii 7730 AMI woke up 15
- 0:30minutes ago. Hey, you look great.
- 0:32You got your coffee ready to go. I appreciate it, man.
- 0:35Cuz we got, you know, Mike and Greg who do surface issues at
- 0:39their intro. It shows like that mappy the
- 0:42United States where it's like Greg's on the West Coast, Mike's
- 0:45all the way on the East Coast. We're even further away.
- 0:47I'm in, I'm in Massachusetts and you're in Hawaii.
- 0:50So we should, you know, we should do one of those things
- 0:53too where it's like you're way, I don't know how many miles is
- 0:55that probably like 6000 miles or 10,000.
- 0:58I don't. Know it's insane my wife made me
- 1:01for my birthday like 3. Years ago, these placards.
- 1:03You know, out of wood and she hand painted signs of all these
- 1:06places, like my favorite places and the miles from that, from
- 1:12our house to those places, and we put them on trees outside.
- 1:15It's pretty cool. I'll have to make one for
- 1:17Massachusetts, where my buddy Adam lives.
- 1:19Yeah. That'll be awesome.
- 1:22So on this one we are going to talk, we're going to do a couple
- 1:25things. I loved your video on your
- 1:28channel that you did. I think it was last week where
- 1:30it was, you know, a little bit of a Strongsville response video
- 1:34to John Mangini, which I found funny.
- 1:36I I like that a lot. I was laughing and the other
- 1:40part though, where you talked about gambling.
- 1:42I was watching that and going like, I got to talk to him about
- 1:45this because you know, I way back we used to talk a little
- 1:49bit about gambling and stuff and I told some old stories.
- 1:51But I definitely want to talk a little bit about that because I
- 1:55have, I have some thoughts and some opinions on that as well.
- 1:59And it does relate to the hobby because like you said in your
- 2:01video, there's a lot of talk about gambling in the hobby now
- 2:05and you know, it, it's, you can look at it different ways, but
- 2:10it seems to be a, a pretty negative thing when it gets
- 2:13mentioned. I understand why So and you did
- 2:15a great job. I think in that video you, you
- 2:17did with kind of highlighting some, some ideas behind it.
- 2:21So I really like that one. And then the other thing is I
- 2:25got a people, people will either love or hate this one At the
- 2:28end. I, I did AI got a Beckett
- 2:31crossover to PSA reveal and I got the old grades with Beckett
- 2:37and we're going to show you what the new grades came back as.
- 2:39I think it's pretty relevant because as we know, PSA
- 2:42collectors just bought Beckett. So it's pretty timely thing.
- 2:46I've been meaning to make a video about it but I figured I'm
- 2:48just going to save it and we'll do it on turn back the clock
- 2:51here. That sounds fun to me.
- 2:53I I love that type of stuff. Can you just give us a like a
- 2:56real quick recap of the gambling topic you brought up on your
- 2:59channel and, and for those who didn't see it, what, what the
- 3:02whole idea behind it was and what you talked about?
- 3:05OK, well the original thought with the gambling we were going
- 3:08to do another turn back the clock and well what we did one
- 3:11like 2 months ago or whatever that was and we are going to do
- 3:16a a part that was inspired by Mike Petty.
- 3:22He does like a Mike Petty minute.
- 3:25A rant. And my rant when we forgot to do
- 3:30ours on the end of our episode was going to be mine was going
- 3:33to be about gambling because that was a big thing with the
- 3:36repack and those nasty emails that Arena Club was sending to
- 3:40people. And I wanted to do a rant about
- 3:43gambling and how I just don't think it is a bad thing, this
- 3:50gambling and this hobby. It is an individual perspective
- 3:54on gambling. I grew up gambling across the
- 3:58board. When I was a kid at school,
- 4:02marbles were huge. That was.
- 4:04Full blown gambling, you would bring marbles and you would play
- 4:08marbles and you would win your friends marbles or other kids
- 4:12marbles. I have a giant marble collection
- 4:15from when I was a kid. It's it's like a giant box.
- 4:19It weighs like 50 lbs. I've never got rid of it and
- 4:24it's all marbles that I won because my dad would come.
- 4:27Home. He worked on the oil fields.
- 4:30He was a welder and he'd get giant ball bearings and any this
- 4:34is going to ring a bell for a lot of people, but I had I was
- 4:37the guy that brought ball bearings.
- 4:38To. My school and I had an unlimited
- 4:41supply. My dad would come home with nice
- 4:42shiny ones every day, different size.
- 4:44So I would use those and play kids and and you'd do like
- 4:47substitutions for like a good marble.
- 4:50And so I would just win everybody's marbles.
- 4:52And even if I lost, I got free mark, I got free ball bearings
- 4:56and they're worth 10,000 times what a normal cat's eye or wasp
- 5:01was or anything like that. So gambling to me like has
- 5:05always been a part of. My life.
- 5:08And myself growing as a person. Pogs.
- 5:13Pogs were. Huge.
- 5:14I was really good at Pogs. And those I didn't have any back
- 5:17door like my dad. I have a huge POG collection in
- 5:21the attic. That is all.
- 5:25I'm basically free. I was really good at pogs and I
- 5:28won pogs from everyone at school.
- 5:30They banned marbles and they banned pogs at school.
- 5:32So gambling's always been like a thing.
- 5:35And then I've talked about the horse races.
- 5:37I talked about all that stuff because there's a lot of
- 5:40negativity and I just don't see why.
- 5:44I don't care if people go and they buy repacks.
- 5:49I don't see anything wrong with it.
- 5:50As long as they show the odds on the back, I have no problem with
- 5:54it. All the packs, you know, that
- 5:56Tops puts out and everything. It's always been a gambler our
- 5:59whole lives. In fact, last night I went to my
- 6:02local card shop and which is a very small shop and they had
- 6:06these blasters from 2023 for $15.
- 6:09There's no one had bought them for so long, so I bought the
- 6:12three they had. That's gambling and everyone
- 6:16talks about how everybody's getting priced out in this hobby
- 6:20because of gambling, because of the Breakers.
- 6:23Well, news flash, these packs, what is there's like 7 in here.
- 6:28These were cheaper at $15 than they were when I was a kid.
- 6:31So you can still buy tops packs. You can go to Costco just like
- 6:36we did when we were a kid. You can, there's always ways to
- 6:40buy cards just as cheap as they were when we were kids.
- 6:44So anyone who just thinks we're getting all priced out because
- 6:47of gambling, because of the Breakers, it's just annoys me
- 6:50because it's not true. You're getting priced out on
- 6:53like. The really expensive.
- 6:55High end stuff that who cares? You're you shouldn't, you know,
- 6:59if you don't want to go into that world, you.
- 7:01Don't. Have to if you're a true
- 7:03collector and the only people really complaining about this
- 7:06are like true collectors, you know, quote UN quote.
- 7:09We're buying singles anyways. And if you want to buy boxes,
- 7:12you can still get them very cheap.
- 7:13You can find them. They're everywhere.
- 7:16I think blasters are $25 now at Target.
- 7:18I was at Target last night. 25 bucks is totally reasonable.
- 7:22They were $20. They were like 30 or $40 a year
- 7:24before a couple years and they lowered them again.
- 7:28I don't see any issue in that in gambling to me, like the arena
- 7:31club packs have at it. Yeah.
- 7:34Should kids be doing it? You know, that's that's a
- 7:37parent's problem. That isn't a kids problem.
- 7:41That's up to the parents of that child to, you know, let them do
- 7:46this thing or not. And I don't feel bad if some
- 7:50kids going to go spend $500 on a box and they lose all their
- 7:54money. I feel, I don't feel bad for a
- 7:56second. If that kid has $500 and he
- 7:59wants to go gamble it, that's up to his parents or up to himself
- 8:04to when he loses it. He needs to learn.
- 8:07And I like if I just, everyone's trying to protect all these
- 8:11kids. Like any kid who has a bunch of
- 8:13money, they don't really need protection because they have a
- 8:15bunch of money. I don't know how they're getting
- 8:17it. Their parents are giving it to
- 8:19him. They need to learn how to lose.
- 8:21And that's how life works. Like the biggest thing in
- 8:23gambling and in life and every choice we ever make.
- 8:27I mean, you buying stocks, you're buying a house in your
- 8:29life, you're buying all these things.
- 8:31The first most important rule about gambling is learning how
- 8:34to lose. And that's life too.
- 8:37Any choice you make, you learn through your losses.
- 8:41And if a kid, you know, spends his money and loses, he's going
- 8:46to learn pretty quickly that it's not that fun.
- 8:49And there is obviously issues with people who have gambling
- 8:53addictions and stuff, but that's a per person basis.
- 8:56I had no problem with gambling. You know, I have a friend who
- 8:59had a problem. I, I don't have it in my family,
- 9:03no one really had any problems with it.
- 9:05They gambled and they had a good time.
- 9:07My great grandpa was a gambler and he made a bunch of money
- 9:11doing. It.
- 9:13Well, that, that, that, that I just thought of one of the
- 9:16funniest quotes I've ever heard. You you ever see the comedian
- 9:19Norm MacDonald? He passed away, but him who was
- 9:24it? I think he was talking with
- 9:25Artie Lang Artie Lang's another comedian who they used to be
- 9:28buddies. And I forget how it came about,
- 9:31but basically he Norm MacDonald, like I can't do his voice, but
- 9:35you know, he's got like a distinct voice and he's like,
- 9:38he's like, you know, because he was a big gambler, big gambler
- 9:40on sports and everything. And he, he I think he was on
- 9:44some show or something, but I heard him go, you know, they,
- 9:46they, they say gambling is a disease.
- 9:49Well, it's the only disease I know of where you can win a
- 9:52bunch of money. I love, I love that quote.
- 9:56Like come. On.
- 9:59But with that being said, I, you know, I, you said in your video
- 10:04that gambling is in your blood. It's in mine too, man.
- 10:06I, I look back at, I can look back like if I go back to my
- 10:11dad's dad, my grandfather and his side.
- 10:14My dad used to tell me that he used to, he used to take when my
- 10:19dad was 12, my, my grandfather used to take him to the bar room
- 10:23down the street. And because I guess my dad was
- 10:26really good at shuffleboard, like at the bar, you know, the
- 10:29shuffleboard games at the bar. Well, they used to bet on that.
- 10:31And I guess back then it didn't matter if you were 12 at going
- 10:34to the bar, you know, So my my grandfather used to take my dad
- 10:38when he was 12 to the bar and they would be a team against
- 10:40like other guys, like grown-ups. So my dad was really good and
- 10:45they would like win money at the bar, you know, just doing that.
- 10:49So just crazy stuff like that. And my grandfather, my mom's
- 10:54dad, I remember he, you know, they would babysit us a lot and
- 10:58I would have so much fun because he loved betting on horse races.
- 11:02He would, you know, he'd have the newspaper out and he would
- 11:05have me pick, pick horses. And then we'd watch it on TV.
- 11:08Like you could get, it would be like Suffolk Downs, like some of
- 11:11these horse tracks that you could literally watch the live
- 11:15race and he'd call it in on the phone.
- 11:17He'd call up his bookie, he'd be, he had like a code name.
- 11:20He'd be like, this is Sharon 12 called And and then we would
- 11:24like, he's like, all right, we're rooting for the 12 horse,
- 11:26you know, And it was like the most fun thing ever.
- 11:28And he, I just remember him screaming like, give him the
- 11:30whip, give him the whip about the horse, the jockey whipping
- 11:34the horse. And so clearly he, you know, he
- 11:37had that in a so from both sides.
- 11:39I, I have that in my blood. And for whatever reason, it
- 11:42manifested in me not, I was never like big into like casino
- 11:46games or anything like that. I've been to Vegas a bunch of
- 11:49times and you know, I, I had friends who were like reel into
- 11:53blackjack or like craps or anything.
- 11:55And I, you know, I'd play a little bit, but the bug didn't
- 11:57hit me there. You know, it hit me with sports
- 11:59betting. And you know, this isn't like,
- 12:01hey, I went bankrupt or any of that stuff, like ruined my life
- 12:05with sports betting 'cause I did it, you know, and, and, but you
- 12:07can, I know that you certainly can.
- 12:09And it's a dangerous thing and I, I don't recommend it.
- 12:11It's not something I want my kids doing, you know, or
- 12:14anything like that. So it's not like glorifying it,
- 12:16but I would say I've had some of the the most fun times of my
- 12:21life around sports betting and I used to do it.
- 12:25I look this up, It's not I'm not admitting to any type of illegal
- 12:30activity by saying that I used to bet on sports before it was
- 12:34legal. Like now it's legal pretty much
- 12:36everywhere. So it's just crazy for me to see
- 12:38the, you know, the last 20 years, like 25 years when I
- 12:43first started betting a few bucks on some football games to
- 12:46now where I don't really do as much or if any too much now.
- 12:49I got kids now. So I'm trying to not do that
- 12:52'cause you can get distracted. But as I look back to like how
- 12:55it was to how it is now where you get commercials about sports
- 12:58betting and all this stuff and it's like it's so mainstream.
- 13:02The what I really, my most one of my most memorable times was
- 13:06February. I wrote it down February 3rd,
- 13:092002 and that was Super Bowl 36 and the the Patriots were 14
- 13:13point underdogs and you never see that in the Super Bowl.
- 13:17Now the Super Bowls are always like 3 point spreads, but this
- 13:20was like David and Goliath 14 point underdogs Patriots.
- 13:24I put $100 on the Patriots to win the game outright.
- 13:28I think it was 5 to 1. So I ended up winning.
- 13:30They won the game and then I won 500 bucks in college.
- 13:34You know that was like me winning, that was like me
- 13:36winning $100,000 right now. So that was just crazy.
- 13:41And I look this up because I realized one of the reasons why
- 13:46I I collect Tom Brady cards. I'm not, I'm not like a super
- 13:50fan or anything like that. Like, you know, he seems like a
- 13:53cool guy or whatever, but I honestly like he's too too
- 13:56around now I see him all the time on TV and who is dating and
- 14:00I'm like, oh man, I don't want to know any of this stuff.
- 14:02But I realized one of the reasons why I love collecting
- 14:06his cards is because I have such good memories about him winning
- 14:09me money when I bet on I look this up.
- 14:12OK, I was like, I don't know the numbers, but it just felt like
- 14:16he like when he was, you know, he was favored in a lot of games
- 14:20because they were so good, right?
- 14:22But even with betting, you know, with the line, there's this
- 14:24thing called the your record against the spread.
- 14:26So like, let's say his team's favored by 7 points.
- 14:30It's not enough to just win the game by three.
- 14:32You got to win by more than 7 to actually win.
- 14:35You know, if someone bets on you, you know, understand how
- 14:37that works. But I looked it up and I was
- 14:39like, I wonder what it was. So this is it.
- 14:41He was one of not only the greatest quarterback ever, but
- 14:44he was one of the the, the greatest betting on quarterbacks
- 14:47ever. He actually covered the spread
- 14:50in regular season games at a 58% clip, which if you know sports
- 14:55gambling, they always say like if you can win like close to 60%
- 14:59of your bets or even like 58%, you can make a ton of money
- 15:02betting on sports because most people like they're less than
- 15:0650%. So like you don't need to win a,
- 15:08a huge percentage of your bets to actually make money.
- 15:11And it's, I mean, if you look at these numbers, it makes sense
- 15:14now because like, it felt like I would bet on him, like just to
- 15:18win the game sometimes or I would say, all right, I'm going
- 15:20to do a teaser where you bring the the line down as long as
- 15:23they just win the game. And it always felt like he came
- 15:26through and, and now you don't see that as much, You know, even
- 15:29the best quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes or some of these
- 15:32guys, they don't cover the spread, you know, and they
- 15:35don't. So I was looking at that like
- 15:36him and Peyton Manning, you know that it was a 20 year run where
- 15:40you could do very well if you just bet on those two guys like
- 15:44and you did it creatively with teasers and betting on the money
- 15:46line and and being smart with it.
- 15:49And I think that's why I have such a fond, fond way about Tom
- 15:54Brady because, yeah, he was the quarterback of my favorite team.
- 15:56But more than that, he just came through so many times for my
- 16:00bets, man. And that I for me, that that
- 16:03matters a little more, you know? I love that.
- 16:05I mean, you got to have some sort of connection and there's
- 16:08nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
- 16:09I think it's awesome. Yeah, so I, I and I was there
- 16:12was, I think it was ESPN.com had a whole thing on.
- 16:14I, I printed it out because I was like, this makes total sense
- 16:17now. I didn't really know the
- 16:18numbers. I knew what it felt like and it,
- 16:20it, it does make sense. So yeah, I, I understand
- 16:25people's negativity towards gambling because it has ruined a
- 16:28lot of lives. It's like, it's like alcohol,
- 16:30you know, you know, if, if you can use it, you know, you have a
- 16:35glass of wine here and there and it, it makes things a little
- 16:37more fun for you and but you don't abuse it.
- 16:39Same idea with gambling on sports or whatever, or, or in
- 16:42cards. But yeah, if, if, if it takes
- 16:45hold of you and it becomes an addiction and it takes over,
- 16:48then yes, it could be, it could be bad.
- 16:50But yeah, it's personal responsibility.
- 16:52And I think in the hobby, I understand why some people get
- 16:56upset that there's so much of that gambling because, you know,
- 17:01there's so much money at stake now that the stakes are a lot
- 17:04higher. We we used to, yeah, we'd open a
- 17:06pack hoping we would pull that Chase card.
- 17:08Back then that was a little bit of a gamble.
- 17:10But now when like, you know, you're getting into a break or
- 17:13you're on this Arena club thing where you put it whatever money
- 17:16down and you could pull a $50,000 card or something like
- 17:20that, it is, I could see how that can kind of get away from
- 17:23people, you know that. I think the stakes are just a
- 17:25lot higher now than than in the past with this.
- 17:28I mean, I, yeah, I the stakes. Could be a lot higher.
- 17:31I just I don't know. I just, I guess the whole reason
- 17:35I brought it up and I wanted to talk about it in the past and
- 17:38why I brought it in my video is just.
- 17:41There's so much negativity towards all of gambling, like
- 17:45it's all the worst thing in the world.
- 17:47I personally think it's disgusting that when I watch a
- 17:50sporting event, there's all of this betting, all baseball
- 17:56specifically, because I know it was illegal for so many years
- 17:59and you got Pete Rose out, you got all these guys out.
- 18:02You know on the. Outside because of this and now
- 18:05they're advertising everywhere. But that's my reasoning.
- 18:08It isn't because I think gambling's terrible, it's just
- 18:12because it was so it, people got in so much trouble for it before
- 18:16and now it's everywhere. That's kind of why it's that
- 18:19bothers me. But the whole gambling itself,
- 18:22it's like, I mean, gambling's not going anywhere.
- 18:25It's going to be with us forever.
- 18:27It's not. I don't think it's getting any
- 18:29bigger. People are just going.
- 18:31People who are addicted to gambling are going from here to
- 18:33there to here to there. They're just finding a different
- 18:36way to gamble. When for years we would go to
- 18:40the Orange County Fair, me and my buddy Danny, and we'd spend
- 18:44$2000 on lottery tickets. And when you spend $2000 on
- 18:49lottery tickets, every $20 you spend, you got to spin the
- 18:51wheel. Anyone who's been to Orange
- 18:52County Fair and done this, it'll ring a bell in their head and
- 18:56you get a minimum of five free $1.00 tickets and up to 20 if
- 19:00you hit the gold thing. So we'd spend $2000 and then we
- 19:03would make a deal with the guy that was working or the OR the
- 19:07girl that was working and be like look, instead of us
- 19:09spinning the wheel like 100 times, whatever that was every
- 19:12$20, just give us 9 tickets for each $20.00.
- 19:16So we get all these free tickets and we did the math.
- 19:20So you literally you get. So the lottery has a rule just
- 19:24like everything, just like in most things, maybe not cards,
- 19:27but you have to give 50% of the money back.
- 19:30I think that's the lottery rules.
- 19:32So every dollar they receive, they have to give $50.50 back on
- 19:38that dollar back on to the ticket.
- 19:40And then you got to think about all the stuff they're paying for
- 19:43and everything. So they're probably only making
- 19:45like 20% for every dollar that you spend on lottery.
- 19:48Well, when you get all these free ones, we did the math.
- 19:51We only lost one time out about 5 or 6 years that we went and we
- 19:55won most of the time. You got all these free tickets
- 19:57and we would just scratch for hours on it.
- 19:59We have drinks and we I mean we had booklets and booklets.
- 20:03We had a chance to be a mega, mega millionaire like massive
- 20:07money and we had an absolute blast and it was worth every
- 20:10single penny of the fun we had. You know, there's I just.
- 20:16Dude gambling, gambling's so fun and everybody's so anti in this
- 20:20hobby. That's going to be the title,
- 20:22the title Gambling is so fun. Turn back the.
- 20:25Clock fun. So fun.
- 20:27I mean, you obviously were pretty lucky with that.
- 20:29I have to show a card. I recently picked up this was
- 20:33this was funny. I, we were watching, my wife and
- 20:35I were watching a Netflix show. I can't even remember the name
- 20:38of the show, but it's one of the newer ones.
- 20:40It's, it's I guess, pretty popular, but it's kind of a kind
- 20:44of a wacky show, kind of crazy. But there was this couple and
- 20:48they're, they're both like killers.
- 20:50They're like mercenaries or whatever, right?
- 20:51And they're getting ready to go whack some guy and the girl in
- 20:55the car starts talking. She goes, you know, there's
- 20:57this, there's this American baseball player.
- 21:01The, the show was like based in England or something like that.
- 21:03But then she's like, you know, there was this American baseball
- 21:05player a long time ago. His name was do you know this
- 21:09guy Jack Lorkey or Lorke people are all the all the vintage guys
- 21:14are going to kill me, you know for not.
- 21:16I'm sure this story's been told a lot of times, but anyway, this
- 21:19is a 1951 Bowman. His name, his nickname was lucky
- 21:23Jack lucky Lorkey or Lorke awesome card.
- 21:27I I got this for like it was like 5 bucks something like that
- 21:30beautifully centered and I didn't even know this guy's
- 21:34story but she's telling this guy the story in the show.
- 21:37I forget the reason why but it was related to what they're
- 21:40about to do. But she was like this guy had a
- 21:43nickname Lucky because he escaped death like 6 times.
- 21:46He was in World War 2 and the guy next to him got shot a bunch
- 21:51of times and then he was in another war or something and his
- 21:55something like it was a bunch of you can look him up but
- 21:57basically there was a plane crash that he was supposed to be
- 22:00on the plane. It didn't crash.
- 22:01Then he was on a baseball team and the bus crashed and he was
- 22:05supposed to be on the bus. Anyway, he survived like escaped
- 22:08death a bunch of times and they called him lucky for that
- 22:10reason. So I was like.
- 22:12So I was like, I want, I want a car to this guy and I'm gonna
- 22:14keep it like in my wallet or something 'cause maybe it will
- 22:17bring me good luck, you know? And it's an awesome, awesome
- 22:19looking card too. Well, let's so let's touch on
- 22:23that for a minute. So me saying all this is
- 22:26because, like I said, I've always loved gambling.
- 22:29I played poker, we had poker. Nights.
- 22:33We called it guys nights in high school before poker was big or
- 22:36anything. Once a week we'd all get
- 22:37together and we play at my buddy's dad's cabinet.
- 22:40Shop and we. Play, you know, till like one in
- 22:43the morning. We didn't drink or anything.
- 22:45I didn't drink in high school. So we just literally played
- 22:47cards like follow the Queen, bloody sevens, all kinds of
- 22:52different games, like not just five card stud or five card.
- 22:56What do you call it? We didn't even play like, what
- 22:59is it? Five card Monte.
- 23:01No, what's the normal game hold em like?
- 23:04Oh. Hold em.
- 23:06Yeah, if we did, we dude Wilds. You know that's how this is
- 23:09before. Everybody's like you have to
- 23:10play hold em now and and. So I I grew up doing all that,
- 23:14but I I. I'm a winner.
- 23:17On SO, I'm like that guy. I'm lucky on the front of in my
- 23:23all my gambling, I'm up money and you can ask any of my
- 23:26friends. It's not like I'm up big money
- 23:27or or anything like that, like not at all.
- 23:30But I just didn't lose a bunch of money and all those poker
- 23:34nights. So that's coming from somebody
- 23:37like that. And but I've also didn't lose
- 23:39money, probably because I just didn't bet giant money.
- 23:43So it was like, how much can you possibly win?
- 23:45How much can you possibly lose? You're not a degenerate.
- 23:48You, you, you were able to do it without abusing it.
- 23:51And honestly, I, I, I would say you're probably in the minority.
- 23:54I think a lot of people that gamble are, are degenerates and
- 23:57they and they, it goes too far. So I don't know, maybe I'm just
- 24:01trying to, you know, I don't want to say like go out and
- 24:03gamble, not that anyone listening wasn't going to do
- 24:05anything we say anyway. But you know, if my kids watch
- 24:08this in the future, I think gambling is something, you know,
- 24:11to do it leisurely and be careful.
- 24:15But there have been some fun times associated with it and you
- 24:18can get lucky. You can win like as Norm
- 24:20MacDonald said. You can win a bunch of money.
- 24:23Well, I mean, yeah, this is a baseball, you know, this is a
- 24:25card podcast. We're talking about gambling,
- 24:27but it all stems back to the baseball cards themselves.
- 24:31And these repacks is how it all. For me that was the whole reason
- 24:34for my rant is these repackers everybody just seems to just
- 24:38despise and I don't despise it at all, especially when they put
- 24:42their odds on the packs and people are having a blast
- 24:44opening them. Have at it anybody else who
- 24:48doesn't. Want to I I do feel bad.
- 24:51I, I don't like you said, I don't want people to think that
- 24:54I think everybody should go out and gamble and it's good for
- 24:56everybody. There's definitely stories.
- 24:57We have a friend who's has a podcast and he's talked about
- 25:00how his family's had issues with gambling and I don't want to
- 25:04take that from from that person and.
- 25:07But this is this is life experience here.
- 25:10And my life experience is totally different than everybody
- 25:12else's. And my perspective is different
- 25:14than everybody else's. And my perspective is, you know,
- 25:17to each your own. I don't want to be the
- 25:19policeman. And that was like my video
- 25:21premise too. Like, dude, we are policing
- 25:25everything in this hobby. Like dude, just police yourself
- 25:28man. Like if if you see some shady
- 25:31stuff going on and you can can, you know, you can stop it, fine.
- 25:35But I just and teach their own. Well, I before we move on to my
- 25:40PSA Beckett crossover reveal, do you I have a couple quick
- 25:45stories, but I want to ask you, do you consider a breaking
- 25:48gambling? Would you or would?
- 25:50I mean, of course it is. Absolutely, yeah.
- 25:55Because I have a couple quick experiences with breaking, you
- 25:59know, that it it kind of highlights the problem I have
- 26:04with it's not that it's gambling, it's that I don't
- 26:08think they do a good job of making it that entertaining.
- 26:10You know, most of at least like for here's a quick couple quick
- 26:13examples. I think I made a video on this a
- 26:15long time ago. Probably not many people saw it,
- 26:18but randomly I got in, there was a, you know, the company Vintage
- 26:22breaks. Yeah, you know, I think.
- 26:26But anyway, it's vintage breaks. But they had, I think it was
- 26:30them, yeah. They had a break of 1952 tops.
- 26:33And it was, they had the whole set, including the Mickey
- 26:35Mantle, and it was, you know, you could buy slots, right?
- 26:39So I was like, what the heck, You know, it was, I forget the
- 26:41price, but it wasn't cheap. You know, it was, it was
- 26:44something where I went in knowing I'll probably lose my
- 26:46money, right? I'm not, I'm not expecting, but
- 26:48hey, what the heck, you know, it'll be fun.
- 26:50I don't do this. So I figured I did.
- 26:52I bought like 3 spots and essentially, yeah, there's
- 26:56however many cards in the set and that's how many spots there
- 26:59are. And they had a graded copy of
- 27:02every card in the whole set. And so I bought 3 spots and I
- 27:07was kind of excited for it, right?
- 27:08Like I was expecting to not get a Mickey Mantle or Willie Mays
- 27:11or Jackie Robinson or anything like that, but I also was
- 27:14expecting like I'm going to tune into this thing.
- 27:16I was like, all right, I set a side time for it.
- 27:19I was ready. I was like, this is going to be,
- 27:21you know, at least fun for half hour.
- 27:23I don't know what it's going to be.
- 27:24So I jump on there. I could not tell you how
- 27:27disappointed I was. I had, I came out, I got 3
- 27:30comments, right. I don't even remember who the
- 27:33cards were. Three comments, which is what I
- 27:35expected those. That's the odds anyway.
- 27:37But it was not an experience. It wasn't like there was no
- 27:42drama to it. The guy literally was like, oh
- 27:44number. It was so quick and there was no
- 27:48build up. There was no nothing.
- 27:50So I just came away from the experience being like that
- 27:54wasn't fun. Not because I didn't get Mickey
- 27:56Mantle or Willie Mays was just it was wasn't well done.
- 28:00It was like mailed in. So terrible experience.
- 28:03And then a couple years back, my nephew, he's 15 now, big
- 28:08baseball player. You know, when we lived in
- 28:11Arizona, we would he would sleep over our house a lot.
- 28:14And we just had some great times, you know, as he was
- 28:16growing up. Yeah, a lot of fun.
- 28:18And this was a few years back, he was he had a sleepover at our
- 28:22house. I think it was like maybe the
- 28:23last one he ever did. So, so it was like, you know,
- 28:25we're having a lot of fun. And randomly I see I get an
- 28:28e-mail from PSA. My PSA membership came with like
- 28:32a Fanatics Live breaking credit. So it was like 125 bucks.
- 28:38I was like, oh man, all right. And then so I'm just thinking
- 28:40like I'm probably never going to use this unless I just do it
- 28:42right now. So my nephew's over.
- 28:45I'm like, let's get get on this thing.
- 28:46So I download Fanatics Live. I'm like, let's use this credit
- 28:49and just see what this thing's about.
- 28:51So like I find I'm looking for one like I want to get in one
- 28:54that's like around that price or a little more.
- 28:57So it's got kind of a high end thing, you know, 100 bucks a
- 28:59spot or 150 bucks a spot. So I find one and it's like,
- 29:02first of all, the experience was terrible.
- 29:04Like I can't even find like it was just a horrible user
- 29:06experience. I'm like, people do that like
- 29:08this is terrible. Like I finally find one.
- 29:12And again, I didn't know much about this.
- 29:14So I get in and I'm thinking they're going through like what
- 29:17you can win. It was like 150 bucks a spot.
- 29:19So I'm like, all right, we're getting excited.
- 29:20Like we're buying a spot. Let's get in this baby, you
- 29:22know, and they're going through what the, what the, what you can
- 29:25get, right? And I was assuming that everyone
- 29:28got something and they're going through the, the, the things
- 29:32that you could get and they're all great, great collectibles,
- 29:35awesome cards, you know, somewhere like right around that
- 29:38price range of the entry point, somewhere lower, but then
- 29:40there's some big ones. So I'm like, all right, this
- 29:42will be fun. So like we're all excited.
- 29:44I'm like, Are you ready? We're getting all fired up and
- 29:46everything and our numbers, you know, they're pulling them like,
- 29:50all right. I'm like, we're gonna get
- 29:52something here. You know, it might not be the
- 29:54big thing, but we're gonna get something.
- 29:55It's gonna be fun. Next thing you know, the things,
- 29:57the thing ends and we're like, I'm like looking at them.
- 29:59I'm like, wait a minute, doesn't everyone get something in this
- 30:03break? I, I figured I'd get and then,
- 30:06oh, no. And like, my wife's like
- 30:08laughing at it. She's like, what are you guys
- 30:09doing? You know, and, and my, my
- 30:10nephew's laughing too, because I was like getting upset.
- 30:13I'm like, what the heck? And then they do this thing
- 30:16where they're like, all right, if you got skunked, now you get
- 30:18one more shot. We're going to draw it.
- 30:20I'm like, we got skunked. You can get skunked in this
- 30:22thing. And then we didn't even hit.
- 30:24And then they pulled the skunk thing and we don't even hit the
- 30:26skunk thing. So we got knocked out and then
- 30:29on the ground they kicked us again.
- 30:30So like that's. Insane.
- 30:32And then I'm like. Isn't it against the law to to
- 30:36because they're not regulated by gambling or anything?
- 30:39Like they have to give us something for entering this
- 30:41break. And so I'm like, that doesn't
- 30:43seem right. And then like a week later in
- 30:46the mail, I get a pack of tops Chrome with Wanda Franco on on
- 30:51the on the on the top. And so I'm like, that's how they
- 30:55cover their base. Like they gave me a whatever
- 30:57pack. You got you got Wanda Franco.
- 31:00I got Wanda Franco and then again I'm just thinking like
- 31:03that was horrible. I'm like this was a horrible
- 31:06experience. Not cuz you know, I just like it
- 31:08wasn't clear. Maybe I'm an idiot, but like I
- 31:10thought we would get something and then like I was trying to
- 31:13have some fun and my nephew actually did have fun because he
- 31:15got a kick out of it. It's a funny story, like how
- 31:18like upset I was like what's going on here?
- 31:20So he has a good memory out of it, but I think in a way it was
- 31:22probably a good learning lesson for him to see that.
- 31:25Like be careful of a lot of these scams out there.
- 31:28Again, maybe it wasn't a scam. I'm sure in the fine print or I
- 31:31didn't read it right. But again, my point with the
- 31:34breaking stuff is like, if you're going to it is gambling.
- 31:38If you're going to do it like these guys should make it more
- 31:41entertaining, make it better at least, like, right, Because
- 31:43otherwise it's like it's got to be somewhat entertaining if
- 31:46you're going to lose your money. Yeah, I don't.
- 31:48I don't. I don't understand it either.
- 31:50So when I was in Washington visiting my sister for
- 31:54Christmas, went to a local card shop and they have a Breakers
- 31:58night, so Friday nights, and they bring pizza and there's
- 32:02like a line out the door, my brother-in-law says.
- 32:04And everybody goes in. There and they they hook you up
- 32:07with a team, you pay your money and you're getting free pizza
- 32:11and you have like all the tables around and it was pretty big
- 32:13area. I was like kind of blown away.
- 32:16I was like, no, that's something I could totally see myself
- 32:19doing. If there was a card shop here
- 32:21that did a Friday night breaking and you could spend 50 bucks and
- 32:25get in a hobby box break and you get whatever team you spin the
- 32:30wheel on and you get all those cards and you're getting pizza
- 32:32and hanging out with your friends hanging all these.
- 32:34These card people. I would that's that's what I can
- 32:38get, I can wrap my head around. I've never quite understood the
- 32:42fact of Breakers to. Begin with like I'd.
- 32:44I like opening my own boxes and and sitting here and having on
- 32:48my my desk and organizing them as I open them and putting the
- 32:51rookies together and just have that.
- 32:54I like that personal time. I don't even want to video.
- 32:57Myself opening them. I just like to have that.
- 32:59That's like the peaceful time, you know, when I was opening all
- 33:02these boxes in 2000 with my buddy Danny, we would go to
- 33:05Frank and Sons. We'd open one box on the way
- 33:07home in the car. The driver would the, the
- 33:09passenger would open it. The driver will drive and then
- 33:12when we get home we crack open some Coronas and we go on the.
- 33:16We had a pool table in the garage and we lay the boxes out
- 33:20and we would just. Open cards with Coronas and
- 33:23just. Have the funniest thing ever
- 33:25that's breaking to me, you know? But it's a new world and it's a
- 33:30new world. It, it, it's a, it's a crazy,
- 33:32it's, it's crazy. But I could see how people have
- 33:35fun with it. And I think there's, I think
- 33:37there's a majority of people are fine.
- 33:40They don't blow all their money. They just enjoy it.
- 33:43I just think there's definitely a small portion that's
- 33:46degenerates. And going to have problems with
- 33:48it but. That's on them.
- 33:50They'll figure it out. Speaking of more of more
- 33:54gambling, this was a gamble in itself.
- 33:56Not, not so much, but the last piece here, I mentioned it
- 33:59earlier. So again, I've talked about how
- 34:02I recently completed the Tom Brady rookie card base set, run
- 34:0744 cards and I had 6 Tom Brady rookies in Beckett holders that
- 34:14I had gotten in the past over time.
- 34:17And so I said, you know, I'm going to build the set.
- 34:20It's on the PSA registry. I don't collect, you know
- 34:23everything like this or really this was the only thing I was
- 34:25kind of saying all right, I want them all on PSA and I'm not
- 34:29doing any new stuff like that. But I say I figured you know
- 34:31what, I don't want 38 in PSA and and then 6IN Beckett, right?
- 34:36I'm going to do them all on PSA. So I have 6 old Beckett cards
- 34:43that were in Beckett holders that I sent in.
- 34:45Now here's what I did. I sent them in in the Beckett
- 34:48holders and obviously. We.
- 34:51Know, right, we know and everyone in this hobby that you
- 34:54know, knows the grading game knows that if you want to give
- 34:57yourself the best shot of getting the same grade or or
- 35:01even a close thing or even maybe a higher grade, sometimes you
- 35:05got to crack them out. But I said I'm not this 44 card
- 35:08run. I didn't do it based on grade,
- 35:11right? Like I just wanted good looking
- 35:12copies and some of them are lower grade.
- 35:14So this is not something where I'm like I'm going to sell
- 35:17anytime soon anyway. So I was like, I know I'll
- 35:21probably get lower grades on some of these, but that's OK
- 35:25because I just want them all in the PSA labels and the and the
- 35:28holders to make it uniform. And yeah, you weren't.
- 35:31You weren't playing the game. No, I wasn't playing the game.
- 35:33Yeah. Look, if I was trying to make
- 35:34money on this thing, it was a bad idea to send them in the
- 35:37slabs. We know.
- 35:37Yeah. Now that's different.
- 35:39Maybe on the next episode or something.
- 35:40I want to talk more about that. Like I would love to ask PSA in
- 35:46a perfect like is, is it supposed to be?
- 35:48Are you supposed to get the same grade on the card if you send it
- 35:51in in an STC or Beckett holder to PSA as if you cracked it out
- 35:55and send it in? I know they would probably say
- 35:57yes, like yes, you should get the same grade regardless, but
- 36:00everyone in this hobby knows that that's not the case.
- 36:03You have a better shot of getting a better grade if you
- 36:05crack it out. And why is that?
- 36:07I mean that again, we could, there's a lot to to go through
- 36:10with that, but let's run through these real quick.
- 36:14Yeah, I want to see them. I'm excited.
- 36:15For it, because I think this will in the comments guys, I'm
- 36:19going to we'll give a little feedback, but I want in the
- 36:21comments your take away based on what you're about to see.
- 36:24So the first card I have the old Beckett label again, probably
- 36:28can't see it too good, but it was a this was a mint condition.
- 36:31Tom Brady, Rookie 2000 Upper deck graded number one O 4
- 36:35centering 9.5 edges 8.5 corners, 9.5 surface 9.
- 36:41So 8.5 is the lowest 1 and it came back APSA 8, PSA 8.
- 36:50Again, not the not the greatest view of it, but PSA 8.
- 36:54So all right, it went down one grade.
- 36:57That's OK. Yeah, I'm OK with it.
- 36:59I understand that. It's like you want to be like
- 37:02that would have. Come back at 9:00 if you would
- 37:03have cracked it out beforehand, you know, like probably.
- 37:07Right. And again, why?
- 37:08Why? Why?
- 37:09I don't know. All right, so the next one, one
- 37:13of my favorite Brady rookies, 2000 Revolution.
- 37:17And this, oh, the last one, by the way, was if anyone cares,
- 37:20not numbered. Yeah, not a numbered car.
- 37:23Oh yes. No, not a numbered car.
- 37:25Yes, it is 1325. They kind of hide it.
- 37:27So numbered to 1325. This one, one of his toughest
- 37:31rookies, numbered to 300. Pacific revolution #128 sub
- 37:36grades just there. So anyone knows, it was a 9.5
- 37:43centering, 8.5 corners, 9 edges, 9 surface, so really good sub
- 37:48grades there. Mint condition card came back
- 37:51again, not too bad. APSA 8, PSA 8 there.
- 37:55OK, so all right down one grade all right now 2001 of his
- 38:04highest. I think it's a number four
- 38:05highest rated rookies as far as like on the registry, it's
- 38:09numbered to three 52,000 leaf limited Tom Brady and this was a
- 38:158.5 from Beckett and it had 9.5 centering 8.5 edges, 8.5
- 38:22corners, 8.5 surface. So 8.5 is the lowest sub grade
- 38:26from. Beckett I hope it gets a nine.
- 38:28I hope they bump this one. I'm sorry my friend, it came
- 38:31back PSA 5. No.
- 38:35PSA 5. So good.
- 38:37PSA 5. PSA. 5 So let's just take a
- 38:44moment to realize and recognize what happened there.
- 38:48I didn't crack it out, so I didn't damage the card or
- 38:50anything. I sent it in the PSA.
- 38:51It was a almost a mint condition card from Beckett. 8.5 in PSA. 3
- 38:581/2 grades lower excellent condition 5 now that's a big
- 39:03jump. That's a big, I mean, that's.
- 39:05That's massive. What there's so much I mean, I
- 39:07want to hear what do people, how do people reason with that?
- 39:10What what do we think about that?
- 39:13I think on one hand, what I want to say, let me save it.
- 39:17Actually let me go through the last three real quick.
- 39:19OK, All right. Next one I.
- 39:21Want to give a quick. Opinion.
- 39:22Yeah, and I want your opinion on this too, because the last
- 39:24three, 2000 playoff momentum, again, another one of his best
- 39:28rookie cards #180 number 2750. And it got, it was a 88 grade
- 39:38and the sub grades 9.5 centering.
- 39:41As you can see, I go for centered cards, right?
- 39:43They're all 9.5 centering, 7.5 edges, 8.5 corners, 8.5 surface.
- 39:49And it got APSA 6. So we went from 8.5 to 7 two and
- 39:56a half, 2 1/2 grades down right and then this 12000 upper deck
- 40:03pros and pros 7 numbered to 1000 a mint condition card with
- 40:10subgrades of 9.598.59 edges, so lowest and it got apsa 7.
- 40:19So almost mint condition goes down to A7.
- 40:22Oh no mint condition goes down to A7 which is a near mint but
- 40:26they but Beckett had it as a mint.
- 40:28So the two companies, one's meant, one's not meant.
- 40:31I mean you know, is it meant or is it not meant?
- 40:35Same card again, I didn't crack them out, they did.
- 40:37So the last 1-2 thou people know this card. 2000EX Tom Brady #215
- 40:46hundred, one of his most well known rookie cards. 8.5 really
- 40:50good grade for this card and 9.5 centering. 9 edges. 8.5 corners,
- 40:587.5 surface comes back APSA 5. The surface one probably got you
- 41:05on that one. Surface, yeah, but Surface 7.5
- 41:09with Beckett 5 for PSA. So, you know, another 3 1/2
- 41:15grade drop going from one company to another.
- 41:17Let me let me give you my just super quick opinion on it.
- 41:21I've been saying this since I came out of the YouTube.
- 41:22Womb. Very first time I got on YouTube
- 41:25it's like. The reason PSA's prices are
- 41:29higher than everybody else's isn't because of the set
- 41:33registry, isn't because of anything else other than the
- 41:36fact that they grade their cards harder than everybody else.
- 41:41It's been like that since I started collecting graded cards
- 41:46back in the late 90s, early 2000's.
- 41:50The deal was SGC always was just a little behind because the SGC
- 41:55cards were graded a little easier than PSA.
- 41:59And then Beckett came along and the same thing happened,
- 42:01although I granted Beckett's grades.
- 42:06Boosted, you know, we're worth a lot more at a certain time in
- 42:09this in this card collecting community at one point, but I
- 42:14for vintage specifically, I guess is my experience.
- 42:17So these modern stuff's a little different for me, but.
- 42:20For vintage for sure, they just have graded harder across the
- 42:25board and that's how I see it still and I think it shows in
- 42:29the modern stuff as well. And I and I and they definitely
- 42:32haven't gotten any. Easier on their grading over the
- 42:34last, you know, 10 years, 20 years, it's just gotten tougher
- 42:38and tougher. So that's my quick explanation
- 42:41and you know, agree with me or not.
- 42:43That's how it's that's how I've always seen it before YouTube
- 42:47before any of my experience hanging out with other people
- 42:50and discuss with other people. I have always personally seen
- 42:55the fact that when I had APSA graded card in vintage at least
- 42:59was always looking not always, but 90% of the time was better
- 43:04than its same graded copy in another company.
- 43:07So and. In my experience, I agree on
- 43:10vintage, but even I think PSA tends to even be the toughest or
- 43:15there's a big biggest differential in these type of
- 43:17like 90s early 2000s cards, you know, from the Sky Ball.
- 43:22I mean, I've seen precious metal gems, cards like Michael Jordan
- 43:26PMG Reds from 1997 go from a 8.5 same thing down to A5, you know,
- 43:333 three, half, 3 1/2, four grade drop.
- 43:37So yeah, I think it's I think I want to know people's takeaways
- 43:42and comments about this. Please put them in the comments.
- 43:45But yeah, I think this was not a knock on PSAII didn't come out
- 43:50saying like they they screwed me.
- 43:52You know, these I just think, yeah, they they grade
- 43:55differently and they like these cards all look great, but I'm
- 43:59sure they found, you know, they looked under the microscope and
- 44:03they found the scratch for this. And there's a reason for the
- 44:05grade, I'm sure. But they all look, you know,
- 44:08like the ones that had the mint condition from Beckett.
- 44:11They do look mint condition, but maybe the scratches or whatever,
- 44:14you know, surface issues, stuff like that.
- 44:17And I think PSA, probably when they are, when they are given an
- 44:20opportunity to have a Beckett slab that says mint or 8, they
- 44:25take that opportunity to really put their boot on someone's neck
- 44:28and go, no, no, no. We grade so much tougher than
- 44:31Beckett. And here's how we're going to
- 44:32show it. We're going to drop it three
- 44:33grades because we're able to find things and we find things
- 44:37that the other companies don't. We look deeper.
- 44:40So yeah, I think that's, that's one take away.
- 44:43I, I, I would love to hear people's thoughts on that.
- 44:45But I wanted to share that because lastly, I see a lot of
- 44:49people that, you know, they'll show their Beckett 9.5 or
- 44:52they're Beckett 9 or 8 or whatever that that's the Beckett
- 44:56grade. OK.
- 44:57Like that's not, that's not the PSA grade in most cases.
- 45:01I, I would say, you know, so take that with a grain of salt.
- 45:04If you're buying a Beckett card slab based on that grade, just
- 45:09know that if it may not, and probably not in many cases be
- 45:14that same grade and it will probably be lower with PSA.
- 45:17So if you're if you're trying to play that game, then be very
- 45:21careful. And this was a perfect example.
- 45:23And I felt like I could use it as an example because I was
- 45:27like, hey, if it comes back of five, which it did on a couple
- 45:31of these, I still want it and I've kept it and I'm gonna keep
- 45:34them. And I wasn't playing the game
- 45:36like you said with based on grade, so it was a fun little
- 45:39experiment I guess. Maybe not so fun, but it is.
- 45:42You, you hosed yourself. You should have cracked those
- 45:44out. But you even regardless, I think
- 45:47it's all the surface. I think they're just ultra any
- 45:51little automatic 6. You know, even when I'm grading
- 45:55all my modern stuff now, like for my own double D slabs.
- 46:00You know any tiny little surface scratch, I automatically take it
- 46:04to a six. Like the smallest thing you
- 46:06can't even see. I've cracked out plenty of
- 46:08Beckett. Holders and there's little.
- 46:11Surface scratches on eights and nines.
- 46:13I'm cracking out and then I'm like, oh, I got to put this in
- 46:16my double D slab as a 76, you know, like if it's.
- 46:19If it's a card like a Brady rookie card, they're going to
- 46:22look for that scratch. They're going to look extra hard
- 46:24for that scratch, right? So that they can use that
- 46:27opportunity to go, no, no, we're the toughest graders in this
- 46:29industry. And the opposite of poo pooing
- 46:33PSAI think it boosts their their prowess.
- 46:37Like that's the whole point you buy APSA graded card you you
- 46:43mean, I hate to say it, but I've been this is how I believe
- 46:47you're you're getting the finest example you can get in that
- 46:51particular grade. You know, blindly and.
- 46:54The crazy thing is down the road if I sell these cards, the PSA
- 46:595, it will probably sell pretty close to what the card would
- 47:04have sold for I think in a Beckett 8.5.
- 47:08So even from a money perspective, I just think it
- 47:12probably doesn't even matter that much, you know, really
- 47:14because that's how far ahead PSA is.
- 47:17Yeah. And again, who knows, but I I
- 47:19wanted to share that and I'm sure you know, we'll get some
- 47:21comments so that. Was awesome, I love.
- 47:23It yeah, that was fun. Good to be back with you.
- 47:26I guess we'll wrap it here. Another great, fun episode.
- 47:28Dylan, I appreciate you getting up early to do these.
- 47:31I hope we can do another one pretty soon here.
- 47:33Absolutely, now get out there and start gambling, boys, girls.
- 47:37Gambling's fun.
